Today, I had the pleasure of visiting The Cornish Bakery, a delightful spot that never fails to impress. Known for its authentic local pasties and delectable French pastries, this charming café also serves hand-roasted coffee and specialty breads. With 45 locations across the UK, particularly in Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset, it’s a beloved destination for many.
Absolutely love this place! The pastries are always fresh and delicious, and the coffee is top-notch. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax while shopping. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Street! Personal recommendation to try pistachio croissant and Cornish pudding!
Kamila Z — Google review
Had lunch in here, ordered a cheese and onion pasty, can of coke and a raspberry croissant. The pasty was very full and tasty. I had to ask for a bag to eat the croissant at home as was full after eating. The service was good and surprised that it wasn't too pricey. Would come back again
Clare C — Google review
My first time trying Cornish Bakery. I knew it is very popular and I didn’t know what was the best to have so I ordered a tortilla with a cappuccino. Average food and environment, nothing special for lunch. The tortilla was a bit dry and just something that I didn’t quite enjoy. However, I will definitely try sausage roll next time as it looked delicious!
Charlotte L — Google review
Really lovely place! The pasties are always fresh and tasty, and the cakes and pastries are great too. Staff are friendly and the service is quick. Definitely one of the best spots if you’re after something delicious on the go.
Georgia L — Google review
I loved 😍 their root vegetable cornish pasties. Delicious, scrumptious, delectible, yum! Tomorrow is another day for the same. I had the herbal tea in the cafe. They charge extra to sit and eat. Line was continuous and fast. Someone cleared the tables often. Bon Apetit!
Michelle P — Google review
Lovely bright atmosphere with plenty of seating. Lots of variety of food and everything we had was incredible!
Chloe B — Google review
Friendly staff, love the croissants and coffee. Only complaint would be that the queue is slow, the food is uncovered so can see flies buzzing around. And needs more seating and a better food collection system as everyone gathers at the end in each other's way. But lovely place
Sophie F — Google review
A five-star review for the Cornish Bakery in Clarks Village might look something like this: Absolutely fantastic! The Cornish Bakery is a must-visit every time I'm in Clarks Village. Their traditional pasties are the real deal—packed with flavor and with a perfect, flaky crust. It's truly a taste of Cornwall right here in Street. The sausage rolls are also incredible, and the coffee is always spot on. The staff are super friendly and quick, even when it's busy. I can't recommend this place enough for a quick bite that's always delicious and satisfying.

Le Petit Prince Patisserie is a family-owned bakery and patisserie located in East Street. They offer a wide range of freshly baked products including bread, cakes, drinks, and savories made with local Dorset ingredients. The cute French cafe serves an array of fresh breads, pastries, and savory items all baked in-house using locally sourced natural ingredients. While it's a bit pricey, the patisserie offers plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors.
What a great find. A lovely place to relax. The choice of cakes and selection of food on offer was fantastic. Friendly staff with great customer service. Just a really nice place! Will definitely be coming back again soon to try out another of the lovely cakes!
KD C — Google review
We came for breakfast on bank holiday on Monday, which was lovely. There was plenty seating in the garden, which was cute, but a little overgrown. The food was tasty, although a little pricey; in particular, one slice of toast with some scrambled egg and mushrooms for £10 seemed a bit much. I also didn't love that all food was seemingly served on a wooden chopping board.. not sure how hygienic this was. The service at the till wasn't cheery at all, bordering on rude, which was slightly off putting. However, the food was delicious and the coffee was good and I'd definitely pop in for a pastry again!
Jaime T — Google review
The desserts are divine... the staff is friendly, kind, polite, and attentive. All the facilities are very clean.
Dave S — Google review
Visited for lunch, had quiche & salad and a cake, all were lovely. The furniture and decor is rustic but clean enough. There's a garden at the back which is surprisingly large and looks inviting on a hot day. Dogs are seemingly welcome.

Great little coffee shop in the heart of Wimborne. The rest of the food looked great . Really keen to try the bacon and chorizo baguette but we only had coffee and cakes so far . Decor is lovely . Staff are great , all very friendly .

Bakery
Cafe
Town Mill Bakery in Lyme Regis is a popular spot known for its French-style artisan loaves made with natural wild yeasts and no additives. The bakery's success lies in its unique formula of offering a do-it-yourself breakfast experience, unlimited toast, jams, boiled eggs, Town Mill muesli, hot lunches, afternoon tea with delectable treats like eccles cakes and apricot cranberry scones.
We always have breakfast here when we visit Lyme Regis. The staff are so friendly and the food is wonderful .Both the full breakfast and the veggie breakfast are amazing, the mushrooms in garlic sauce are delicious and the veggie fritters are so tasty. Lots of people visit the takeaway bakery and the bakes look delicious. I would definitely recommend the Mill Bakery every time. 🙂

We found this place on Google Maps, so glad we went. We had our dog with us, so we ate on the outside benches. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but it was definitely worth the wait. The coffee was very good and we all enjoyed our food. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. It was very good value for money, we all left feeling very full. They also have a little shop selling lovely treats

Fabulous! What a wonderful place to enjoy lunch whilst visiting Lyme Regis. Such a lovely buzzing atmosphere. We were made so welcome by all the staff even though it was packed with visitors. We were with our two whippets and they were also made very welcome! The cappuccino was the best I’d ever had, and the egg Royale was just fab. We’ll definitely be coming back in the spring!
Beverly C — Google review
Just loved this place. Food is fantastic and the decaff coffee is the best had. Set down one of the side street of Lyme Regis. It's worth a visit but go early to avoid the crowds. Also has a takeaway service.
Richard T — Google review
Stopped for a coffee and cake with our whippets. Very dog friendly, lovely coffee and the cake we chose was pretty spectacular. Nice sheltered seating outside with friendly welcoming staff. Foods are not the cheapest but what we had we were happy with.
John G — Google review
I love a good bakery, so when we realised our accommodation was literally across the road from here, we visited a few times! Coffee and pastries were great. Lovely seating outdoors. Can be a bit of a wait for a table as first come first serve, especially in the morning, but totally worth it!
Whitters — Google review
We had an amazing breakfast here this morning! Poached eggs on sourdough with crispy bacon and scrambled eggs on sourdough with sausage. Absolutely delicious and kept us full for our fossil walk and the rest of the afternoon! Definitely check it out if you are in Lyme Regis - but come early as it was already pretty busy by 9:30am.
Kate D — Google review
We used it a couple of times and found that on both visits the staff were really friendly and the food was very good, with quite a few vegetarian options.

Bakery
Corfe Castle Village Bakery, located in Corfe Castle, England, offers a variety of delicious baked goods including pasties, sandwiches, sausage rolls, and cakes. Additionally, the bakery serves cream teas, hot chocolate, tea and coffee at its National Trust tearoom. The bakery is well-known for its award-winning breads made using traditional methods with slow overnight fermentation. Guests can also enjoy British dishes at this charming bakery.
Love this place. Traditional bakery in the centre of Corfe Castle village. Always popular and very reasonable. Today (Sunday) I went in just as they opened and had a couple of delicious crusty (yep, proper crusty and on a Sunday too!) rolls with sausages and a coffee. Absolutely lovely!
Mark G — Google review
Amazing local bakery in Corfe. The sausage roll and steak bake were incredible. We also bought a loaf of bread which was delicious and everything is very reasonably priced. If you’re around Corfe, get yourself down!
Chapman B — Google review
A good bakery is a joy and this is one of the best in Dorset. Despite being in the main tourist village their prices are normal and it's proper traditional cakes and sarnies all the way. You can get a full picnic and take it up to the castle. It's very popular and queues are out the door normally. But the staff are really efficient so you don't wait long. My favourites are the sausage rolls and scones. They definitely deserve all the awards they've won.
Ingrid S — Google review
We have been here many times over the years but this year we came a bit earlier and there was no queue which was good for us. We had the large Cornish pasties and they were very nice. Fresh and hot. The vegetarian pasties were not as nice with the wholemeal pastry. They would have been better in my opinion with the traditional pastry. The cakes were delicious. Really fresh and tasty. The prices were reasonable with the large pasty being £4.50 and the cakes around the £1.10 mark. The staff were friendly and it made a nice lunch for us.
Andrea P — Google review
We regularly visit Corfe and the surrounding area and whenever camping we arrive early at Corfe Bakery for a lovely crusty breakfast roll! The staff are always lovely and we have never had anything but tasty goods both sweet and savoury , a smile and politeness. I’d recommend arriving early so not to queue but the popularity of the bakery means an occasional queue.
Alexis C — Google review
Seriously the best bakery in the area. I had chicken and leek pasty, cheese and onion slice, florentine and chocolate/rum ball. The pasty… the best I have ever tasted! I recently visited Cornwall and was excited to try local pasties but honestly… none of the Cornwall pasties reaches anywhere near deliciousness of Corfe Castle Pasties. If you feel like I am wrong, please tell me where they have better and I am happy to go, thy and review. The cheese and onion slice…ulala…rude how good it is. Florentine was lovely and crunchy. Only the rum and chocolate ball was not up to expectations. There is no rum. Maybe you should change name to chocolate ball. It’s disappointing if one expect punchy rum taste and nothing happens. Other than that, this place is definitely worth of visit with empty stomach.
Iva I — Google review
Lovely village bakery. We have been coming for years on our visits to Corfe Castle and Swanage. Food delicious and the best filled Cornish pasties I haver ever experienced ! The premises are very small - to be expected in an old period building but I do wish people would not bring their whole family of 6 inside when they have already decided what they all want outside! They could see that it was already packed inside! Not your fault but just a reflection on people and their immediate needs!
Paul Y — Google review
Avoid going here where possible. Never have I come across such miserable rude women. At 8:30 am the woman opened the door and my friend and I greeted her with good morning and a friendly smile. Her reply was."well it was". I looked at her and said oh it was lovely until you opened the door to your clients? And she nodded!!! They were miserable when serving and I witnessed them serving people behind me in the same manner. If they are the owners, then there is no hope. If they are Staff and you are the owner sack them! Thank goodness for tourists otherwise you'd be closed. As a relative local, I will make sure I never use this bakery again.

Nestled on Christchurch Road in Pokesdown, M's Bakery is a charming family-run establishment that has garnered acclaim for its delightful array of baked goods. This award-winning bakery crafts all its breads and pastries on-site, boasting accolades including a gold medal for best sourdough at the World Bread Awards. Visitors rave about the impressive selection of eye-catching cakes, pastries, and freshly baked bread that make it hard to choose just one treat!
Recommended by our hungarian friends we visited the bakery just recently and bought a croissant and a sausage roll. I haven't had a sausage roll that good for years I have to say. And the croissant was a different level. We will be back to try more 100%
Krasimira V — Google review
I always look forward to a trip to M’s. Great service and their pastries are the best in town. They always have a large selection of delicious treats to choose from, but a couple of my favourites are the fruit danishes (especially the recent fig danish) and the cinnamon rolls.
Khrysta — Google review
I surprised my best friend with a custom-made pistachio giant croissant, and it was a huge success! She was completely speechless — I definitely made her day with this unforgettable treat. Massive thanks to M’s Bakery for helping me turn the unbelievable into reality. The croissant was enormous, perfectly crisp, and absolutely out of this world. You guys nailed it. Hats off and thank you so much for making this moment so special!
Petra Z — Google review
Phenomenal food! Every baked good—from the sourdough to the crinkle cookies and croissants—is absolutely outstanding. If you're someone who appreciates light, flaky, and perfectly sweet croissants, this place will feel like heaven. I don’t quite understand the complaints about pricing. When you consider what chains like Starbucks charge for mass-produced baked goods—often lacking in both flavor and quality—the prices here seem entirely fair. At Ms, everything is handmade with care and consistency, which you can see!! There’s real craftsmanship and effort behind the scenes to maintain this high standard every day. In that context, ~£5 for a croissant or pastry of this caliber feels more than reasonable. Yes, £5 is money, but chances are we all pay more for parking places these days. It should be a reminder that quality matters more than quantity. I’d much rather treat myself to something truly well-made and support an independent bakery than settle for a dozen mediocre, mass-produced alternatives. I love your work and will never stop shopping at yours! Keep up your great work and charge the sum that keeps your business running - anything else would be a real shame and loss for anyone who enjoys going to Ms. Rant over ❤️
Karolin E — Google review
I love this bakery! Real bread and artisan pastries. The staff know my order when I come in! This is real food made with skill. I don’t think it’s overpriced. You are paying for quality and it my weekly treat. I will always come here - it’s the best. You could waste your money on many other bad quality products! Come here and then go eat it on the beach - that is the best way to live! Enjoy it.
Lucy L — Google review
Based on my experience, there is no denying that the pastries at M's are lovely and the coffee is also pretty good!! However, with single pastry items priced at £4-£5+, two pastries and two coffees can cost almost £20 which is simply too much for a lot of people. (These prices could potentially be justified if there was an interior sit down area to enjoy the goods in—which is not the case here.) If prices were a bit more reasonable this would be the perfect bakery! I'll continue to enjoy M's, but unfortunately for most of us visits will have to be sporadic!
Ricardo M — Google review
I'd heard a lot about this place so I was keen to taste their produce. I bought a pastry with custard & Berry filling, this cost me over £4 for just 1! while I'm happy to pay more for a cake from an independent bakery, and this place bakes on the premises, I do feel that the price at M's for a cake was way over-priced. The pastry I bought tasted nice but in my opinion it definitely wasn't worth the price & I would not buy here again. A slice of cheesecake was over £5 Too!! I would expect to pay no more than £3 for a pastry & maybe £3.50/£4.00 for a slice of cheesecake etc.
D L — Google review
I recently purchased a poppy seed cake (makowiec) from this bakery, and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious! As someone from Poland, where makowiec is a traditional holiday dessert, I can confidently say this was the best I’ve ever tasted. The perfect balance of sweetness and moist texture made it truly exceptional. I’ve been a loyal customer for a while, and their other baked goods are equally amazing. I especially appreciate their sourdough bread, which is always fresh and full of flavor, and their sweet pastries that never fail to impress. If you’re looking for the perfect makowiec for the holidays—or just a delightful treat—I wholeheartedly recommend this bakery. They truly know how to deliver quality and taste!

So taken by this traditional independent bakery, selling the most appetising array of sweet treats and unique breads. Everything looked incredible, wish I could have tried all of them. Lovely to hear of the history on the website and I wish you many more years of success, from a passing visitor. Thank you!

This is an awesome bakery. Seriously good popular treats. Not sure I would do an enormous detour to come here as there are many good bakeries in Dorset, but if you're in Bridport I recommend their date and ginger scones. So good I've been making them at home since I tried one!

Fabulous baked goods. Staff helped me order as so much choice, and she was super helpful and chatty. Ordered Goats cheese tart, I adored this, cheese, with more cheese, with onion, tomatoes and egg custard gumminess Cheese straw, more cheese than straw excellent! Cheese nut, onion pasty - definitely different, tasty and packed with flavour Cinnamon pastry - as I love cinnamon, flaky and buttery Apple Cake - delicious, hubby scoffed the lot in seconds, and is currently looking up recipes online. Will be returning here.

The most amazing bakers ever. The staff are so helpful and friendly. But I do have to say, Their pasties are the best I've ever had. Being a delivery driver I've had a few pasties, but none that tasted as good as theirs. Highly recommend trying this bakers 😃

We had read many good things about this bakery and drove two hours to try it. We tried several items and all were pretty average. The brownie was our favourite but overall we weren’t that impressed. Nothing bad, just didn’t live up to the expectations we had. To be fair, it was also near closing time so it seemed many products may have been sold out.

These was one of the best bakers I had the pleasure of buying from. There products taste so good and there is certainly a great deal of choice to choose from. Well worth a visit. It most definately gets a 10/10 from me. I am also not easy to please. Well done guys, I will be coming back for more.

Breakfast restaurant
Rick Stein, Sandbanks is a chic seafood restaurant located in a prime spot along the luxurious Sandbanks beach. The interior design is minimalist and Scandinavian-inspired, providing a stylish backdrop for the main event - an impressive display of fresh seafood offerings. The restaurant offers both casual brasserie dining on the lower level and more upscale white tablecloth service upstairs, with stunning sea views from the upper floor.
Another fantastic meal in Rick Stein's. We had the 4 course meal. Well you could say 5 as there was also an appetiser. The waiter was also amazing. We had a glass of Champagne each as we was celebrating our wedding anniversary and a small peice of brownie each for free. Can't wait till next year to go back.
Sheryl V — Google review
I expected more from a Rick Stein restaurant. The one in Padstow was excellent, this was not. For the price paid and level of food expected it was severely disappointing to say the least. We were a bit disappointed with the starters..my Mrs coconut prawns had no taste of coconut whatsoever. My mackerel salad was mediocre. We had the goan lobster and herb lobster for main , and whilst it seemed good value with a glass of champagne thrown in with the deal; they were both under seasoned and under spiced, and were bland at best. The accompanying sides were worse than I’d expect at a 1 star restaurant though…presentation was severely lacking for the quality of restaurant this was advertising. The cucumber and lime salad was literally cucumber and some lime juice ( I take more care slicing cucumber evenly at home !) and the buttered potatoes were bland to say the least ( I put parsley or chives on at home). There seemed to be no love in the food preparation. This may be because we sat at 8.30 and it was late in the day , but this not excusable for a restaurant that sells itself as higher end. On the plus side, our service from Luke was impeccable. Really good. The atmosphere is great and the setting amazing. Still, it didn’t detract from the bland food.
Richard A — Google review
Great location, nice and cosy inside. Could use a few less pillows on the seating so you can actually sit down. The food was amazing. I had the crab burger, I always live seeing crab as a choice on menus because it isn't very common. Stunning burger and desserts. Highly recommend.

Superb restaurant, impeccable staff - warm, down to earth but super good. Amazing views and the food was top notch. We had the Fancy fish and chips and were blown away by how good it was, Best Ever! The octopus and halloumi small plates were delicious too. Definitely a special occasion venue or just a really nice treat.

The menu/food selection is great. I ordered the coconut prawns starter, which were very crispy and seasoned beautifully and tasted great. My main course was the wonderful crab linguine. Again, very tasty. We had a centrally located table for the 7 of us with a fantastic harbour view.

Wow 😋 I was speechless. From food to staff customer service( many thanks to Paul, Emanuel and Elena who served me today; you were 10 out of 10 👍) skills to ambiance - everything went flawless. Treated myself daughter to a lunch here to celebrate her pregnancy. Had dinner here yesterday and it was incredible! The food, the service and the atmosphere were all top notch! Honestly, 3rd year in a row we have been here and it never disappoints. Once again we were lucky enough to get the table for 2 next to the pass, so we saw everyone else’s dishes as well as our own. Crab and sardine starters were superb, my wife’s stuffed sole was great, my lobster came in a bowl of the most delicious liquid I have ever tasted. It’s great to find a seafood restaurant that just does seafood, and there are always multiple things that temp on a changing menu. You will need to book ahead (we took a guess when we would be sailing in to Portland and adjusted our trip to make sure we could be here). If you love seafood you will love this place. And every single person we interacted with here were professional, enthusiastic and friendly.

My wife and stepsons took me out for my birthday dinner. Fantastic food, great service and absolutely perfect ambience. Lovely rustic chic and brilliant food. The only disappointment was my wife's bellini. Tasted great but presentation was a bit off. Food still gets 5 stars because it was absolutely phenomenal. We came all the way from Southampton just off this meal and we were not let down at all.

Been coming here for over 20 years, since it was Abbotsbury Oysters, love the food, the oysters, the atmosphere and great service too. Friendly atmosphere, I recommend booking to guarantee a table. Plenty of seating areas to chose from and some are also dog friendly. The menu is full of choice which makes decisions difficult!

Never disappoints! Hits the spot every time! Outstanding choice, value, food, location, service and atmosphere. Food is incredible. This is a very very special place. You can feel it as soon as you walk in. There is no other restaurant like it. My absolute favourite in the whole of the UK.

This place is amazing, the atmosphere the staff the restaurant deco & the food is fantastic. Recommend to book & go, if walk in then no chance of getting a table. Good quality sea food is served here. All we ate was delicious & really very good. We ate oysters, Lobster & the spicy Japanese Crab

We went for lunch unplanned at the last minute and were totally blown away by how perfect and fresh every single dish was. The staff are all genuinely lovely people as well. A very rare 10 out of 10 dining experience. My wife and both spoke about how delicious the food was all the way home and would highly recommend this restaurant. We had the spicy crab, soul fish, scallops with wild garlic butter and some delicious oysters. Followed by a trio of desserts. Every dish was fantastic! All the other dishes coming from the kitchen looked equally as delicious.

We went for a birthday treat to the restaurant. It's a beautiful place, the staff are very attentive and welcoming. The food was top notch with reasonable pricing and the choice for drinks is superb. I went with my two children aged 21 and 6 years and we all really enjoyed it. Thank you for a lovely birthday treat we will definitely be returning.

First the positive. What a great building in a great location and surroundings and a great atmosphere. Bed sheets and towels fab and given the number of small tiles the shower could have been forgiven for a little bit of mould in the corners. There was none it was perfect. We had a lovely weekend because of the area and atmosphere but there are areas that need addressing. The room was nice but given the 100s of £ price tag it should have been better and I would have been happier if the skirting boards were not covered in a thick layer of dust in the loo of our room and perhaps less forgivably an even thicker layer of dust seemed to cover the skirting of the dining room. Speaking of which, come on guys sort out your service.Amongst other less than average bits of service, the glass of ‘champagne’ that we ordered before our meal took nearly 20 minutes to arrive and the wine arrived after we had finished the main course. My wife had the sole which was apparently amazing, I ordered the pork because I saw someone else order it and it looked great but turned out to be tough in places and distinctly average. £30 plus sides??! Really, I would not have been that impressed at half the price. Don’t get me wrong, we had a lovely weekend, it really is lovely, but with the price tag I expect better than amateur service and a better meal. Please Pig take this as positive criticism. I want to want to rush back, but I want to see improvements first.

Venue was lovely and great service, however I would not come.back again for the food. We had 2 partidges, one was ok, the barley and sauce was nice, but one of which was woody/very tough, we mentioned this after I couldn't cut or eat it but they took it away and offered no refund or replacement. The focaccia and sourdough was quite dry, and the posset was very bland. The meal wasn't cheap so I wasn't expecting such low quality food from this place.

We came to the pig on the beach for lunch from the beach. They have a couple of lovely dining options. Both relaxed but both great options. One table service and one you order at the bar and take a flag to a spot on the grass or to one of the picnic tables. A great option for a quick pizza and a drink in the day time! The most amazing setting and super close to middle and south beach

Absolutely brillant lunch from start to finish. Fantastic service, like outstanding. Gus made us feel very welcome, was friendly and co-ordinated. All the staff were but he was particularly attentive and hospitable. Complaints to the chef for the crab risotto, it was light yet perfectly rich with a fresh aroma. The drinks were fantastic and the after-meal granitas were creative, generous and delicious. Overall, a fantastic establishment in all aspects. I will be returning :)

We came here for lunch on the August bank holiday weekend, where we sat outside in the sunshine enjoying views of Studland. Service was excellent, food superb - we had the porchetta, courgette and pea tagliatelle with some delicious vegetable fritters for starters. It was just the loveliest atmosphere. We have been to this Pig a few times over the past years, but this most recent visit was the best!

A Mixed Experience with Stunning Views Visited today with a 12:30 booking and had quite the experience at this beautifully located restaurant. The setting is absolutely unbeatable - the views are fantastic and the restaurant’s vegetable garden creates a wonderful, almost fantasy-like atmosphere that’s truly special. The staff, particularly Chris who greeted us, were genuinely friendly and smiley throughout our visit. However, the service was disappointingly slow. While we were seated promptly, it took ages for someone to return to take our order, and then we waited an hour and 45 minutes for our main course to arrive. Chris eventually explained there had been an issue in the kitchen - likely some equipment breakdown that created a nightmare for the chef. While these things happen and it seemed like a one-off situation (possibly due to an unexpectedly busy day with the nice weather), it would have been appreciated if we’d been informed about the delay earlier rather than being left wondering. After finishing our mains, we took a stroll around the lovely grounds for about 10 minutes. When we returned, our plates still hadn’t been cleared, which suggested they were quite understaffed. We eventually had to approach the till ourselves to pay. On a positive note, the manager came over to apologize for the delays and very graciously took our drinks off the bill, which was a thoughtful gesture. Everyone remained friendly and professional despite what was clearly a challenging day for them. The location really is exceptional - you can’t beat it. The outdoor seating looked like it might be a bit uncomfortable, so we stayed inside, but the views are stunning regardless. With better organization and perhaps more staff, this could easily be a five-star experience. Worth visiting for the location alone, just maybe call ahead on busy days! Oh the food! It was fantastic. Big servings and very nicely presented. They also have vegan options which is nice. Recommendation: Go for the incredible setting, but perhaps avoid peak times if you’re in a hurry.

SAVE YOUR MONEY, AVOID THIS PLACE Where do I begin, I frequent another Pig location (Bridge Place) and have never had anything short of excellence. However The Pig - On The Beach, didn't deliver on anything. I am really struggling to find any positives at all. The views are nice, if you walk past the bushes and shrubs that block the view from the restaurant. The tables are small and too close together, the cushions are meager and slip and slide anytime you move. We arrived early for my birthday meal and after ordering a drink at the bar we waited for 20 minutes for it to be made and served to us, 5 feet away from the bar... Dinner was atrocious. I order the crab salad and my partner the garden vegetable broth to start. There was brown and wilted leaves in the salad and pieces of SHELL, the vegetables in the broth were undercooked and crunchy. I thought maybe they'd just let slip but surely they would redeem themselves with the £95 chateaubriand.. they didn't. Although the cook on it was spot on, it was under-seasoned, the sauce was acidic and again lacked any salt. The tobacco onions tasted like they'd smoked 40 a day and were oily and overcooked, the chips where crisp all the way through with no fluffy potato to be seen, and again overcooked and oily. We ordered two courses, and we were in the restaurant for nearly two full hours. With a minimum wait between courses of at least 20 minutes. Although the servers were polite and wished me a happy birthday, for the price I expected a lot better. Also for some inexplicable reason the staff kept continuing to dim the lights to the point where other patrons were having to use phone torches to see the menu. Its a shame that they don't seem to take on board any of the feedback listed in the other reviews, many complain on similar, and regretfully all mistakes and issues were still present. SAVE YOUR MONEY, AVOID THIS PLACE.

My favourite place to eat and grab coffee, have loved this place since it opened and it’s such a treat to visit, I’ve never had a bad experience here. The team are always friendly, accommodating, and appear to have great communication. It was a busy market day when we visited and yet the service was exceptional - food arrived quickly, and despite a constant flow of people wanting a seat, we didn’t feel at all rushed and enjoyed a peaceful, delicious lunch. Like the food, the coffee is always made to a high standard. Though some may think it a simple thing, the carrot sandwich is anything but, and I highly recommend! Always an insanely good selection of cakes/deserts (I love the basque cheesecake and chocolate brownie) and the decor and ambience adds to the great experience. I will continue to recommend Soulshine to everyone!

What a little gem! Amazing coffee, really friendly staff along with great service. It was market day so they were packed but service was delightful and quick. We had breakfast (fried eggs on sourdough & buttermilk pancakes) and it was all delicious 😋 would definitely recommend and would love to visit again in the cooler months and try the soups ☺️

Soulshine is a heart‑warming dining gem—where lively design meets soulful cooking, excellent coffee, and an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. Highly recommended—Bridport’s finest.

What a gorgeous little cafe! We popped in for breakfast and had such a lovely time. There's a variety of seating options at a table, window bar or outside. The staff are so friendly and personable. We ordered pancakes and baked beans with halloumi and eggs and there wasn't a crumb or smudge of sauce left on the plates. Such comfort food. Coffee was delicious as well. Thank you Soulshine team!

Catch at The Old Fish Market is located on Custom House Quay in Weymouth, overlooking the River Wey harbor. Housed in a historic Portland stone building designed by architect Thomas Talbot Bury, it was originally built as a fish market and has now been beautifully restored by Dorset fish and shellfish company Weyfish. The establishment includes Hatch on the Harbour for street food and takeaway, as well as Catch for fine dining.
We booked our first able for 6pm and arrived 20 minutes early expecting to have a drink before the meal. We were turned away as the restaurant wasn’t open and they were still having their team brief. Arriving at 6:10pm, we were the second table to be seated. Throughout the night, we noticed that the timings of the tables were staggered to take the pressure off the kitchen. Once seated, the experience was sublime. We had a great view of the kitchen; it was fantastic to see how they worked together and how each dish was put together. We had the tasting menu with wine flight. Really good to see that the ingredients are all locally sourced; even to the level of what boat the fish comes from! Stand outs from the menu were the cheeses and exclusive honey that they produce. The octopus was sensational. Nothing was too much trouble and the r had an extremely enjoyable evening. Highly recommend.

Had a excellent evening at Catch. The whole team put on an amazing service. Menu was carefully thought through and it really showed in the presentation and execution of the dishes. Our favourite of the night was the lobster with sundried tomatoes. The water sauce was delicate yet packed full of flavour. Crab butter was also delicious. We thought it was the perfect amount of food for the dinner set course. Would definitely come back.
Priscilla N — Google review
How this has not got a Michelin star yet is beyond me. This means it is incredible value for money at the moment. The fish could not be fresher and the dishes were fantastic. Highlight was the cuttlefish but even the beetroot relish accompanying the extra cheese course was amazing. Special mention to the wine pairing as well; the quality of the 2 wines, English Sparkling Rose, Tokaij and English apple brandy were great value for money and will be looking to buy some for myself. Go as much as you can.
Robert R — Google review
First time visiting the catch last night and the food, wine, service and ambience was outstanding. Me and my partner both said it was up there with one of the best meals we have ever had. We will definitely be back next time we are in Weymouth

Cannot fault the experience. We celebrated our engagement here, and the staff interactions made the entire night. Well, I lie. The food did! Especially the delicious puddings. We were both made to feel so welcome, and comfortable by everyone we interacted with. The simple and elegant congratulations card was such a nice touch too. We intend to put it in a small frame in the house. Thank you very much. We will be back.

Sone of the best seafood we have ever had - located above a fish mongers on the quay at Weymouth so right by the harbour for landing fish. Local ingredients ised, excellent wine pairings, can't wait to go back.

A delicious meal in a relaxed restaurant with helpful and friendly service. We booked for a tasting menu lunch, but it was more of a 3 course meal. There were extra courses available but they cost extra. I doubt I'd have fitted in any more as the main dish was a good size. I'd definitely go back again. Its not cheap but it's excellent quality food.

Absolutely Brilliant. Such a wonderful evening. A treasure trove of interesting dishes featuring fresh local fish, seafood and produce with some lovely local wines also included in their very good wine list. The staff are charming, helpful and knowledgeable. One of the best meals my wife and I have ever had. It's not cheap but worth every penny.

Looking for somewhere for lunch at short notice, and thought we would give this a try as usual restaurant of choice booked. And I'm so glad it was! Had the Sunday set menu. Quiet and contemporary surroundings, really great serving staff (16.2.25 well done you two!). The food was delicious, really fabulous. Can't understand why it was not packed as felt price was reasonable for quality of food. Would have been 5* but it was a little cold in there and coffee was not very hot - but those are minor points. We would highly recommend and already planning a return visit - worth the 75-minute drive!!

We didn't book, and the restaurant was full, but the server offered us the bar table or outside dining, and as it as a sunny warm evening we landed on the outdoor dining. This is a rare find. Not only was the outdoor dining stylish and intimate, it offered wonderful service, and a 10/10 experience. The dinner was wonderful, from small bites all the way to the main the meal was wonderful. The menu is seasonal and delicious, this was a menu that didn't offer comfortable favourites, but diverse delicious plates that we talked about all the way home. They even made us a tailor made cocktail which was spicy and lovely. We had 3 servings. We are thrilled we got in, and would recommend it to anyone who is a food lover.

Came here for dinner for my partners birthday from London. Fantastic little restaurant in a great location. Beautiful, simple decor and super friendly staff. Lovely seasonal menu with a great selection of vegetarian, fish and meat fishes from the area. The 'soused mackerel' was my favourite and the frangipane desert were exquisite. The wine was local and divine. Great experience and a great meal.

We had the seasonal three course meal. Good range of choices and the restaurant made sure all of it could be cooked gluten free. The gf bread & butter was fantastic - nothing defrosted from a pack, but fresh & full of texture & flavour. Excellent selection of wines too.

I came here for dinner after reading such great reviews online and I gotta say this was a truly exceptional dining experience. Excellent and attentive service, with a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the mackerel and rabbit dishes, as well as a brown sugar meringue, a cider and herbal tea. Everything was delicious, really highlighted what I love about dining out. The culinary team showcased some pretty exciting and complex flavour profiles without coming across as over engineered. This restaurant also successfully implements an ever changing menu with seasonal ingredients, which is not an easy thing to do. From my other dining experiences, I know farm-to-table cuisine can easily lend itself to inconsistency. If you’re in the area, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Harriet Mansell’s Lilac restaurant and wine bar in Lyme Regis is a must if you staying here. I booked a table a few weeks ago as it was for a birthday meal. We arrived earlier than our booked table so that we could try out of some the cocktails. We were greeted by friendly smiling staff and shown to a cosy sofa area where we enjoyed one of their cocktails. We were not disappointed - imaginative ingredients and very nicely presented too! Lilac offers an amazing menu of small plates to share using seasonal locally sourced produce. The dishes are beautifully presented, full of amazing flavours to treat your taste buds and you can just keep ordering! We have previously eaten at Robin Wylde (which recently closed) and experienced Harriet’s amazing talent for great food. It was lovely to see Harriet, who is always smiling, and have a chat. I hope your next venture (whenever that may be) is as successful as both of the restaurants that we have eaten in to date. Thank you to all of the team for making the evening so enjoyable.

Picked this superb place because of a mention in the Guide Michelin and honestly thought they deserve a Bib Gourmand. Tucked away in a cellar in the High, the classification as a wine bar doesn’t do it full justice. It’s a fantastic restaurant with tapas style food and they also have a great wine selection. The staff were extraordinarily nice and engaging and we felt most welcome. Very strong recommendation to book in advance to not miss out on this experience.

We saw this resturant on Instagram and as it’s a short drive we went for lunch. It was a fantastic lunch. The resturant is very smart, relaxed but stylish, very friendly staff and front of house team, very clean and the food and service we exceptional. The quality of the ingredients was amazing the food is simple, but that I mean there is nothing on the plate just for show. It tasted great and the portion sizes are spot on for sharing . The price is very competitive for the quality of the restaurant and the ingredients served. There are different options from a great coffee and cake, open sandwiches, or the sharing menu which is what we had. Highly recommended go give it a visit

Delicious food and drinks, served promptly by the loveliest coffee shop owners! I had the toasted seeded bagel with avocado & egg, and an oat latte. Both items were delicious; food is of great quality and evidently fresh. Whilst at Crusty’s, I saw other’s meals and that confirmed that standard is maintained with every order! Would recommend this to anyone looking for a coffee, breakfast, brunch or lunch spot - have already promised the grandparents that I’ll return with them. Yesterday I Purchased a White Loaf of Bread from Waitrose 10/6/2021. Time 12.44 Baked by Hedgehog Bakery the bread was marked best before 12 06 21, Had i wished to make some bread crumbs it would have been perfect, it was dry and really unpleasant, the following morning i made some toast with it and it was so crisp it made fine crisp bread. That is the last time I buy bread from Waitrose, back to the Lobster Bakery Mudeford for me.

Rise Market & Bakery is a must-visit spot in Bridport, especially on Wednesdays and Saturdays when the town's main roads transform into a bustling market. The street stalls offer an eclectic mix of items, from doorknobs and jewelry to toy cars and retro prints. For those with dietary restrictions, this place is a gem, offering a variety of vegan and gluten-free options including biscuits, chocolates, condiments, and even baguettes.
Just visited the Rise at Poundbury Christmas market and grabbed a pork and sage sausage roll for breakfast before the buyers arrive. I'd say it's hands down the meatiest sausage roll I've ever had! it was packed with delicious, well flavoured meat and a light crispy pastry. couldn't recommend highly enough!!

Usual traffic on the A35 and fell on this lovely place by chance. Don’t drive past whatever you do. Fresh sandwiches and delicious pastries. We decided to stretch our legs from our campervan and eat on one of the few tables available. Many people ‘grab and go’ staff very friendly and courteous. I resisted the fabulous array of chutneys, soaps etc Refuelled, hydrated and happily on our way to the coast.

Traveling to Cornwall we have stopped in this beautiful shop situated by the road next to a petrol station. It was very easy to park in front and they have tables outside and they are clean. The shop inside is like heaven, all nice and well prepared. The shelves are really full and they have a bit of everything. When we arrived at the coffee shop we really opened our eyes with surprise, everything looked so yummy that we wanted to try all the delicious food exposed. The prices were good but the service was a bit sharp. Self-service is a really good idea but when you arrive at the till it isn't just to pay. Treating a human being it is nice to see a smile or eyes contact or a simple phrase that can make your day. Apart from that it is a very recommended place to go as the product is very good with a super quality and the prices reasonable.

A must stop to pick up something nice and tasty to take home or even to enjoy on your journey! Plenty of different selections from chutney, marmalade, crisps, flours… my favourite “great breads an pastries 🥐 “ Very clean and the staff are very nice

This is a nice little farm shop with a decent selection of locally produced products. The bakery all looks delicious, and if I wasn't being careful about what I eat, I could quite happily consume all of what is on offer here. This ship also has a good selection of beers, veg, and meats. This shop is quite pricey but all the products do look be be very high quality.

What happened to this place?…It used to be the best place for coffee and had cheerful and efficient staff! Today I walked in and was waiting a good 5 mins and had to ask to be served even though there was numerous staff around all chatting to each other! Customers should not have to ask to be served! Then they made coffee for other staff before the customers, were extremely slow, seemingly doing not a lot and proceeded to burn my coffee which then tasted awful! The only saving grace…. Still a Good almond croissant which I think they buy in! Sooo not looking good! I hope they sort it out quickly as they will lose customers otherwise!

Two lovely girls served us this evening - even though they were officially closed (in my rush I hadn’t seen the closed sign). They let us two hungry rowers buy the last pastries and they were DELICIOUS! Thank you so much for saving two starving gig rowers :)

The bakery offers a taste of authentic Sicilian cuisine, reminiscent of the flavors found on the beautiful island. Visitors can indulge in a variety of delectable treats including focaccia sandwiches, pistachio cannoli, and arancini balls.
We tried 3 kinds of pizzas and all were superb! Great vegetarian options too! We are going to be frequent visitors as there’s lots more on the menu that we want to try!

Delicious baked goods. Great tasty coffee, but you may have finished eating by the time your coffee arrives, needs to be slicker! It's nice having the bakery on view, clean and a little industrial, the customer area is devoid of ambiance, but this is more than made-up for by the wonderful food & drinks, the team are lovely.

We’ve been meaning to visit for pizza night for ages! So glad we finally did. Quite possibly the best pizza we’ve ever had. Was the perfect thickness and the toppings were just right and top quality. The service was great and being able to see them preparing it all. Can’t wait to come back and try the pasta.

Stopped to get some breakfast and it was a great choice. Fresh croissants, my favourite one was lemon and vanilla cream filled one. It was so delicious. It is dog friendly. Friendly staff. Very pleased overall.

Strange choice of pizza. The veggie option was mushroom and potato. Never had potato on a pizza before. The pizza was ok. Coffee was very disappointing, I had a flat white and it was quite bitter. Waitress bought various orders to our table that we hadn't ordered.

The best, most authentic Italian eatery / pizzeria / bakery we’ve ever known. Not only that but such wonderful people who work there too, making the whole experience something you just have to keep going back for!

Molto Italiano. Some of the best Italian food I’ve tried in a long time outside of Milan. Stopped off early on a long drive and could have eaten everything. With their coming success (there is no doubt) they’ll be able to take over the whole industrial building before too long. Eccellente.

BigWigs Bakery in Bournemouth is a charming spot that offers delicious pastries and coffee for breakfast, as well as a tempting lunchtime menu. The donuts are described as chewy and fluffy, with just the right texture. Visitors appreciate the freshly baked goods and friendly service from the staff. The brisket roll is highlighted for being generously filled, while the cinnamon bun is praised for its gooey texture and balanced flavor.
BigWigs Bakery Bournemouth is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendliest staff, who went above and beyond to make my visit a memorable one. A special shout-out to Raul, who cooked the most delicious Croque monsieur I've ever tasted. The cakes, bread, and hot drinks are equally impressive, with an array of flavors and textures that will leave you wanting more. The cozy atmosphere and delightful aroma of freshly baked goods make this place a must-visit for anyone looking for a top-notch bakery experience. I can't recommend BigWigs Bakery Bournemouth highly enough!

He makes the best food and you can tell there’s love and pride in every dish, the beef brisket burger are sooooo good I would rather go to big wigs instead of a burger place, I’m eating a wrap rn making this review btw. I donut know about you but I love it when my donuts have more bite to it. Not airy and not dense but chewy and fluffy. Big Wigs did not dissapppoint. The only bakery located in bournemouth town center. I went there in the morning. Everything freshly baked and the store lady was very nice and accommodating. My partner enjoyed the brisket roll - a bit pricey but worth it - super filled with no extenders. Cinnamon bun was ooey gooey and sticky - not too cinnamony - balanced! Maple bacon donut - chewy, salty and sweet. Almond croissant - very lovely!! Crunchy flakey nutty 🫠 Guinnes chocolate ganache - donut texture was good but we couldnt taste the guinnes so much 😁 5 pieces were to go. It survived its journey back home. Devoured and satisfied. I paid about 16£ for all of it. Not bad eh? 😊 Id definitely go back and enjoy a meal there :)

This busy little bakery has a great assortment of local products and freshly made bakery items. The bakery offers more than just oven goodies, check out the sauces, cheeses, and deli. Although we didn’t have time to try a sandwich, we will be back for that later! We ordered two flavoured lattes which came hot and foamy, and a couple cheese twists to go!

I usually shop for bread and although I like to shop there and the people are nice. The bread is not so great. The Granary used to be so much better a few years back. It is now Granary in name only. More a white loaf than brown and no malted flavour. I would also like to find a genuine Wholemeal, not just here but anywhere in the country. Cranks used to be the best but is no more. If only there were more campaigns for Real Bread like there is with beer.

My usual go to place for small bakery shopping within the village. Adorable and friendly staff, fresh bakery items and regular supplies. You must try their avacado on toast if you fancy a quick bite bursting with flavours and nutrition. I've become a regular and can't ask for more. The shop's interior may use some improvement but hey it's a village bakery so I wouldn't change a thing 😊 just stay the way you are with those big and beautiful smiles. Highly recommended.

I bought a chocolate biscuit slice the other day at a small deli near my office. The description seemed enticing and for a reasonable price, I bought it in addition to my tuna and cheese baked potato (no mayo). Upon opening the packaging I found the cake crumblier than I anticipated, but took a bite none the less. There are no words to describe how disappointed I was with both flavor and texture. Even writing this is forcing me to relive it in my mind. How it can be both dry and soft at the same time is beyond me, but the most disappointing thing was yet to come . . . . As I neared the end of this dreadful mouthful, it became apparent that I would need some water to clear my throat as the bits of nuts and biscuit were catching, making cough. Would I buy a Jessica's cake again? Probably not.

Parnham Park, located in Beaminster, is a stunning 140-acre parkland with an Elizabethan mansion at its heart. Despite a devastating fire and intriguing history, the estate has been revived by James and Sophie Perkins. The on-site restaurant offers an amazing dining experience with locally sourced ingredients and exquisite cocktails. The stately home also hosts antiques fairs and boasts breathtaking views of nature. Additionally, the park features a boatyard with friendly staff and excellent facilities for visitors to enjoy.
Absolutely amazing lunch today at Parnham Park in Dorset. With a menu full of locally sourced ingredients combined in incredibly simple yet elegant ways, and a cocktail list to match, it is one of those rare places that has you planning your return visit even before the dessert course has arrived. A beautiful restaurant on the grounds of a gorgeous stately home, it is an experience not to be missed. And I haven't even mentioned the service, helpful, thoughtful and attentive staff that are a credit to the establishment, you are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive till the time you regretfully leave.

Gorgeous house with abundance of history. I went there for the antiques fair, on the last day so there was barely any thing left, but as we went to walk around, it was just stunning. The nature, the bathroom was oddly amazing (old paintings, a globe, antique furniture etc), the views, and most of all Parnham House, we got to see all sides of the manor, and every side was beautiful. I knew a lot of its history but to be there was something special, after all it was attacked by fire during 2017, but the walls that stood the test of time were nice same with the front of the house. The front of the house was the main thing that drove me to go there, it’s truly, truly gorgeous place, too see it on the screen and to see it in real life was once in a lifetime experience, I would recommend it for any history enthusiasts or a simple trip with companions. Got to meet the owner, James Perkins, big burly bloke who was very kind, offered to answer any questions but sadly we had to leave because I went to see the Robison memorial in the main town, one of the owners, Vincent Joseph Robison, erected it for his wife, Elizabeth Julian Robison. I went to see the church but an interruption that hindered me from going to see the strode memorial, owners that held that house for hundreds of years. Overall lovely day, can’t comment on the food because I didn’t eat, but the rest was just show stopping, so worth it for prior mentioned history enthusiasts or just a nice day out. Review from a real Parnham.

The few spare tables had dirty crockery (ok, they were busy). I asked for coconut milk latte, to be told coconut milk was for cold drinks only. I paid for my order to be given the 2 scones that i asked for, at least expecting butter. I had to ask for butter and jam. When I asked again for the butter I was told they didn't have any. I asked for a full refund. I was initially refunded for the scones. I had to ask for my drink to be refunded too, even though I asked for a full refund. After placing an order I would expect to be asked if I wanted jam (the server knew we were eating in the cafe). But to be told, after I placed my order and paid that there was no butter is not what I would expect. Some of you may comment about "oh it's only butter" or similar are missing the point. It was the lack of / poor communication from the server that I was not happy with. Communication that should take place prior to asking for payment.

I had a disappointing experience here yesterday. The coffee wasn’t made fresh, there was a pot on a heater used to make my cappuccino and my wife’s flat white. The coffee was bitter and way too strong. These drinks should be made with fresh espresso, not filter. Won’t be going there again.

Picked up a quick take away bacon sandwich. I generally don’t leave reviews unless the experience was exceptional or horrendous. Unfortunately in this case my lunch was terrible. Ended up throwing in the bin and skipping lunch. I possibly might not have been too dissatisfied however when paying £7 for a bacon sandwich and it was as terrible as it was (bacon was cremated and inedible), then I feel the establishment needs to be aware and strive to do better. Cannot comment on their table service or dining in as I only had a takeaway and can confirm I will not return.

Le Petite Prince - Westbourne Sun 1st Dec (Table 16) Called in to Westbourne today for a mooch around. As it was just after 1.30pm, we sought a place to eat. Called into Le Petit Prince for the first time, always keen to visit smaller local eateries. Surroundings are nice with a good feel with tables available, so not too busy. We did question the choice of music, but in fairness, it wasn't too loud....we just thought the background music didn't match the customer profile. Menu looked great with some nice choices. We were advised it was table service, something we like. We made our choices, 2x Prince Club Sandwich with drinks....all going well. Drinks arrived, all OK. My wifes sandwich arrived, and it looked great. My Prince Club sandwich didn't arrive....waited what I thought was a reasonable time and went to the till, genuine mistake my sandwich had been missed ! Apology made for the error....mistakes happen (offered a free drink on the house, thanks). Sandwich arrived....really good. The cakes looked great....went to the till and ordered Bread & Butter pudding with a Cappuccino and also decided to pay. Received another apology for the sandwich and returned to my table. Sadly, the cake and coffee didn't arrive, and I had to remind the team !! Another apology, which I accepted and didn't make a fuss....... Cake and coffee terrific, but the care and attention just wasn't shown to our order. A few minutes before leaving, we were really surprised by the reaction of a team member who dropped part of a prepared sandwich on her way to the customers table ..... as part of the sandwich fell to the floor the team member in a black and white spotted dress said "F F Sake", we were not the only customers who heard it said, totally unnecessary even if the team member was frustrated ! The food was great. Sadly, we left disappointed. My review really should have been a 5star. Julian & Amanda

Le Petit Prince has a very homely and eclectic charm, with mismatched wooden chairs, rustic tables and little decorative touches that make it feel warm and welcoming. The shelves, wall art and hanging details give it a slightly bohemian atmosphere, making it the kind of place where you’d happily linger over a leisurely breakfast or brunch. Walking in, you’re greeted by loaves of bread stacked invitingly, which immediately sets the tone for a bakery-driven patisserie experience. Although I only popped in for a coffee, the cakes counter caught my eye and I couldn’t resist ordering a slice of their Breton Tart. The coffee itself leaned on the bitter side, not bad but not especially memorable. The tart, however, was the absolute highlight – rich, buttery and with that distinctive caramelised flavour that makes a proper Breton so irresistible. It was executed with real finesse, the sort of pastry that makes you pause and savour every bite. Looking at the menu, it’s clear that Le Petit Prince takes brunch seriously, with classics like Eggs Benedict, Croque Monsieur, and even a Galette Breton for those who want something a little different. The variety is impressive, and everything reads hearty yet elegant, the kind of food that suits the space perfectly. Overall, while the coffee didn’t quite win me over, the Breton Tart alone is worth the visit – in fact, it’s the kind of patisserie piece that deserves five stars all by itself.

Had our breakfast every day for the last four days. I always had a croissant but my husband sampled the bacon sandwich and sausage sandwich. Both were very tasty. We also sampled the cappuccino cake which was to die for. Coffee great too, in fact brought two packs of their filter coffee home with us. Lovely atmosphere in the place and very welcoming staff. Would recommend

This is a lovely bakery/patisserie - the pastries and coffee were so good we went back the next day! Can recommend the pain suisse 😋 everything we had was nice and fresh and the service was good. We sat outside in the sun.

What a great find on our first trip to Bournemouth. Salmon and cream cheese bagel, plus eggs royale, both were really tasty and good sized portions. The staff were clearly very busy but still they provided a great service. Would definitely recommend.

The Italian Bakery in Swanage is a delightful haven for food lovers, boasting an impressive array of cakes, pastries, and sandwiches that make choosing quite the challenge. Upon entering, you're greeted by a vibrant display that tempts your taste buds. While table service may take some time, the friendly staff are always ready to engage with customers. Their takeaway ciabattas and pastries shine with exceptional quality and fresh fillings sourced from local suppliers.
Tasty coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, plenty choice of Italian and traditional local pastries and cakes. Freshly baked bread daily, except Sundays. Good service, lovely atmosphere, modern interior, clean and nice place to visit.

The display of cakes, pastries and sandwiches is very impressive as you enter and it makes decisions quite tricky. We managed to find a booth to sit in but had to wait a long time for the table service. One of our group went to the counter to make our order as we suspected this was what we had to do given the lack of staff activity, but were told to sit as there was table service. However, the staff were happy to chat to customers they knew even though plenty of tables were ready to order. The food though is excellent. Careful ordering the pastrami & mustard ciabatta roll, the mustard gives a kick (which i really liked!) But i saw another customer struggle. Kids loved their white chocolate & cinnamon bun & cream éclair. My wife had something nutty & gluten free which she enjoyed. Coffee was nice too. There is a single, unisex toilet and changing facility which was in good order. The food is excellent and if you've got plenty of time on your hands, take a seat & wait for the service. Definitely worth dropping in for something though.

The food was just amazing. I had the Black Cherry Roulad, a bun, flat white coffee, and delicious Eggs Benedict that was rich and satisfying. My 7 year old daughter loved her toasted bread with jam and a cute little babyccino – such a thoughtful touch for kids! There were so many inviting pastries on display, it was honestly hard to choose.

Quick service, lovely and helpful staff. Had the most insane pastries! Top quality, tasted so fresh. So many delicious looking options I’ve not seen anywhere else. Ended up coming back the same day, and got some sausage rolls which were some of the absolute best we’ve had. Would love to come back here

Fantastic bakery with super friendly staff! The takeaway ciabattas and patisserie are outstanding—amazing quality and packed with delicious, freshly prepared fillings. The produce is exceptional, with meat sourced from a local butcher, and the black pudding, sausages, and bacon are top class. Paired with excellent coffee and freshly squeezed juice, it’s the perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Highly recommended!

The portion size is insane and really good value, the meatball sandwich is really well packed out and both it and the chocolate fruit Swiss role were delicious 😋 Food was on take out, but the staff are really friendly, the interior looks comfortable though busy. Was expecting to get one sandwich, walked out with £36 worth of food for two giant sandwiches, 2 cake slices, the Bramley apple slice and four various sausage rolls. You pay for quality and get quality. Shame I live 290 away or I'd eat here more often :D Im not aware of much parking nearby, but it's a 10min walk /1min cycle from the train station :)

The Cornish Bakery is a popular spot with a modern interior and unique outdoor space featuring individual beach huts and a balcony. While the food is delicious, some find the prices to be on the higher side. There might be a wait as they are currently training staff, but the quality of coffee and comfort of seating make up for it. The bakery offers a variety of pasties with different fillings, along with other savory options like sausage rolls and an array of appetizing cakes and bakery products.
I’ve never had a bad experience in this Cafe. The cauliflower pasty has always been my favourite and the large traditional according to my husband is very good! If you feel like a treat the pistachio croissant is amazing. But what really prompted my review the staff. They are kind, attentive and helpful. Today an amazing staff member really went the extra mile to make my day. I’ve seen this with many customers, so bravo guys!
Amber N — Google review
Lovely staff and love the decor, but unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our food or drink that we paid quite a considerable amount for. The coffee wasn’t to my liking, and was a little disappointed that that the marvellous looking salted caramel croissant roll was stale and so salty it made me feel sick (and I’ve had some veryyy salty salted caramel 🤣) Could’ve been a bad batch, so will try again sometime as I couldn’t speak to staff at the time of visit as it was a busy Saturday.

Good coffee as I order standard one - Cappuccino . Staffs were friendly. Nice environment.
May W — Google review
A truly positive experience from start to finish! My pistachio croissant was incredibly tasty and the cappuccino was perfectly made – both clearly high quality. The atmosphere was lovely, but it was the staff who truly shone. The young man at the counter was wonderfully attentive, friendly, and efficient, and the young woman who prepared my drink was equally impressive. I also appreciated how reasonable the prices were. A big thank you for your excellent service; you've got a fantastic team!

We arrived just before 12 so in theory before lunchtime rush. Seating area was probably 70% full but at least another 20% tables had not been cleared. I did find a seat and whilst waiting for my wife to return it was clear that the floors under tables were disgustingly dirty. There were so many tables to clear that there were no forks at the point meals were collected. Furthermore when I returned to the cutlery area they still had not arrived. There was no spoons or knives either. When I raised concerns there was a laugh from behind the till. There were at least 3 others waiting. Pasty was tasty but not too warm given the delay coffee was nice too. Note toilets were not very clean and were in need of maintenance. Parts missing from the sink. Floor was disgustingly dirty. So to conclude best to visit early in the morning when you stand a chance that the floors will be clean the food on offer will be hot and you stand a chance of finding a fork.

Food and coffee was nice. I just didn’t understand their pricing structure for eating in and out. It’s not a fix percentage. Just random increases

Excellent place to go for a snack or lunch. The standard sausage rolls are delicious. There is often a limited range of items but what they do sell is very good quality. Plenty of room with outside seating in courtyard at the back.

Refused to take cash for this reason, 1 star. They also charge extra for eating in. Not good. The pasty and coffee tasted good but not good enough considering the above issues.

As a tourist to the local area (on holiday), myself and my son were so impressed with this place! Not only with the exceptional quality of the made to order sandwich, but also their cheese twists too! Great value for money with the friendly service and outstanding fresh quality. The gent serving us was so incredibly welcoming, happy and talkative / chatty and smiley. Really made a fuss out my 3 year old which made our day and trip to Lyme Regis memorable. Thank you! 😊

Delicious Cream Tea & Lovely Service We stopped by Mulberry Manor Bakery in Lyme Regis for their cream tea deal (£7 for two scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam) and were really impressed! The scones were warm, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and thoughtful—they even gave us a heads-up about the sneaky seagulls nearby! We enjoyed our cream tea perched on the little wall outside the shop, which was charming, but it would also be lovely to take it down to Marine Parade to enjoy by the beach. A great local spot—highly recommended! Let me know if you'd like a shorter version or a more casual tone!

Wow! Best pasty I’ve ever had and at a reasonable price too. So nice to see a family run store with children helping their mom this made the bakery for us. The coffees were reasonably priced and lovely and the cakes all homemade! Little gem will definitely be returning.

Tasty!! We bought a large sausage roll, cheese and onion scotch egg and a cheese and beef pasty. The pastries were really tasty! The fillings full of flavour. I'm shocked at some of these reviews, as the majority of similar businesses we have tried have been very mediocre! Very glad we came across it! The young lady that served us was extremely polite and helpful!

If you find yourself in Blandford Forum, Dorset, make sure to stop by Reeve the Baker. This charming bakery boasts an impressive display of baked goods that will leave you in awe. From a delightful onion and cheese sharing loaf perfect for pairing with soup to a scrumptious Bakewell tart for dessert, there's something for everyone. Breakfast options are equally enticing; their sausage bap served on a sourdough roll is a must-try, complemented by excellent coffee.
Chose here for breakfast instead of my hotel, glad I did. Lovely sausage bap in a sourdough roll, with sauce on the side so you could add yourself. Great coffee, and all the sandwiches/pastries looked excellent, I'll be back.

Purchased a traditional pasty, virtually no substance e and full of slop, also a cheese straw which was hard and over cooked. Also a lardy cake which was not at all what I was expecting, it had a very hard sugary top which you almost needed a chisel to break into it. Very very disappointing. It is also very expensive for take out food. This used to be a superb bakery, what’s happened. I won’t be wasting my money in future here.
Samcar — Google review
From walking in, service is slow and the waitress taking orders had a very bad attitude throughout. She handed me my food and said "there it is" as I went away with a half cooked bacon bap which had only been in the warming over for 10 seconds and taken out early. The price of a bacon bap is a few pennies shy of £5 for take out, more if you eat in. Prices seem incredibly high for a small market town breakfast bar. Better to go to Tesco's Cornish baker and get a really good bacon and sausage sandwich from them.
Jacques S — Google review
Probably the worst sausage roll ever, more paste than meat , chewy pastry and cold, asked to warm n it was stuck in an oven for 30 seconds!

Visiting Blandford today and spotted the bakery....what can I say? Probably the best baker's display that I have seen in many a long year, absolutely 1st class! Great variety, amazing service and came away with an onion and cheese sharing loaf which we are enjoying warm now with some soup and the beautiful bakewell tart which is warming for pudding. Thank you, it makes my heart sing to see such a wonderful selection of great bakery products, just don't get me started on the magnificent array of filled rolls etc!

Walked in for a coffee at 3:30 on a gorgeous sunny day, only to be told that it was takeaway. This place is situated right in the town centre and is seriously missing the trick with trade. We watched half a dozen people walk in and straight back out for no other reason. The staff member did direct us to Costa Coffee but why turn away trade like this? If you close at four pm, then they should let you sit in and drink coffee until four pm.

Visited the Blandford Forum shop recently. Ordered 1 x cheese and ham roll, which itself cost £7 small piece of Raspberry Bakewell slice, tea and a large Latte. Grand total for eating inside was £17.00 If my partner hadn’t already placed and paid for the order. I would have walked out. What an extortionate price.

Reeve the Baker is a renowned bakery known for its delicious pastries and freshly prepared lunch options. The bakery offers a variety of delectable treats, including coronation quiche and giant doughnuts that are light and fluffy. With friendly staff and a clean, tidy store, Reeve the Baker has become an institution in Wiltshire and Dorset. Customers can enjoy great coffee, sandwiches, cakes, almond croissants, and sourdough loaves at this beloved establishment.
Reeve is an amazing bakery! All the food there is delicious, once you’ve been I’m sure you’ll be back again soon. The pastries are cooked absolutely perfectly and taste so amazing. I honestly find myself eating one in the bakery and taking one home for later. Their giant doughnuts ,might look like novelty, but they’re light and fluffy and better than most doughnuts I’ve eaten. If you’re planning on coming down, be warned there’s probably going to be queue and the sitting area is going to be busy. In my experience this lead to some slow service, bringing our food over, but with products this good it’s to be expected.
Liam M — Google review
Exceptionally slow service for overpriced, low quality, machine-made coffee. Made all the worse by the fact we paid more to sit in, and yet take-out customers were always prioritised over us. Leaving us waiting 15 minutes for our drinks while people walked in and got there's within a few minutes. Waste of money and time.

A really nice local bakery that has an excellent selection of sweet and savory items. I especially find the doughnuts here to be very delicious. The Pelican Rouge coffee they serve here seems to taste very nice too. The staff are always friendly and there is plenty of interior seating which is comfortable.

Bakery & Coffee shop - next door to a Caffe Nero and opposite a Costa this gem had great tasting coffee and more baked treats than, well, a slightly smaller bakery I guess... The sweet baked goods were incredible, appeared to be made fresh but couldn't confirm that. The savoury food looked great but we didn't try them ourselves. Why would you go to a chain place when this is literally opposite? No idea. Give them a try :)

I made a complaint the day before yesterday and was assured somebody would call me back. Nobody has. I ordered New York Deli bagels along with some other sandwiches for myself and some friends. I tried to bite into the pastrami which appeared to be made of plastic (see pic) and was totally inedible and a very unpleasant experience. Very bad quality for such expensive food. No, I don't want a voucher, I want my money back! I will not be returning. I'm sure the Royals were not served such low quality rubbish. A bit of an unusual review here! My grandad (Dai) passed in August, and he was a passionate devotee of Mark Bennett’s until the very end, he loved a Cornish pasty, a strawberry tart, and a good loaf of bread - accompanied by a chat with the staff of course. He executed many escapes from his flat to get a Bennets strawberry tart, terrifying my mother and all of his carers. 10/10 service for many many years, you brought my grandad and our family a great deal of joy, and I imagine we’ll all be very loyal patrons for a long time.

I recently visited this bakery and had an extremely disappointing experience. The woman working in the shop was blatantly rude to my wife when she asked about the food. It was clear from her attitude and behavior that she harbors racist tendencies. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and has left a very bad impression on us. We expected better from a well-known bakery and will not be returning. I urge others to think twice before supporting a place that condones such disrespectful behavior.

Passed thru Shaftesbury today, stopped for a walk around and saw Reeve The Baker. Went in just after a snack, saw a Pork and chorizo sausage roll and a pasty. The super friendly guy at the counter asked if I needed a hand and I mentioned my conundrum. He said he recommends the sausage roll. So I got it. I also got the pasty.... 👀 Coming all the way from New Zealand, I never thought I'd find the greatest sausage roll I've ever had. But gosh darn, my mind was blown at how good it was. The pasty was also amazing. Would definitely return here if I pass thru town again.

My friend and I were new to English bakeries, so we sampled two items...each....then returned a day later and tried four more: a buttery chocolate twizzle, a glazed donut oozing custard, a flaky Coventry pasty, and a loaf of sourdough that was still excellent three days later. A kind server named Lisa attended to us with utmost patience as we scanned the large assortment of sweet and savory items with the decisiveness of children in a candy shop. Queuing next to us were a couple of cyclists who rode up all the way from Weymouth for a bacon bap.

The staff and food are good, however the whole place looks and feels filthy☹️. There was dirt piled up around chair and table legs, and the toilet was absolutely disgusting, smelled of urine and was badly stained 😫. We hope they are going to renovate the place as it would be a shame to lose a little cafe and shop from Bridport. 🤞🤞

"Award-winning" pasties looked (and tasted) like they had baby food inside. Sausage roll pastry under cooked. We chose these as the filled baguettes had burnt bread. Having spent £7.20 we're still hungry as it went in the car park bin.

Popped in for a takeaway coffee and cake, my partner waited outside with our dog ( he sat briefly outside on one of their chairs) two members of staff very quickly came and asked him what he was doing, he explained he was waiting for me, neither of them seemed to believe him they got quite aggressive with him!! The young man then came and asked me if I was with him, ill certainly never visit again.

Excellent business, relaxed environment, food options perfectly displayed, staff are on the ball always happy unless they’ve just had a rude customer! Be kind give them a smile. And a well deserved 5 stars all round.

Bakery
Nestled in the charming town of Wareham, The Italian Bakery is a delightful spot that captures the essence of authentic Italian cuisine. Known for its mouthwatering pizzas and scrumptious sandwiches, this local gem also boasts an impressive array of cakes and breads that are simply irresistible. While I haven't had the chance to sample them myself, their popularity speaks volumes as they often vanish by day's end! The bakery offers great value for money, making it a refreshing change from pricier establishments.
Our local bakery which we frequent often. Delicious sandwiches and pizzas (2-4-1 on a Monday). A wonderful selection of breads, sausage rolls, cakes and coffee (genuinely wouldn't want to know how many Belgium buns I've bought over the years!). Service is always very polite.
Tarik F — Google review
We had toasted focaccia sandwiches which were pretty delicious, full of gooey cheese and ham/veggies. I mark this place down for charging 80p for alternative milks. That is the highest price I have seen anywhere. I think it's about time all cafes stopping charging extra for plant-based milks. A litre carton of organic Oatly Barista costs £1.70 (at Waitrose!! Not a wholesale price). It is not that much more than cow's milk. Depending on which coffee you're having, in my experience a litre of oat milk will make between 10 and 20 drinks. So, say conservatively that it's 10. That means on each litre of oat milk, the takings at Italian Bakery are £8, against a cost of £1.70 (or £1.50 for non-organic), giving a profit of 370 per cent! If in fact the litre does more than 10 drinks, then the profit is even greater. And bear in mind that when a plant-based milk is used, the shop is not using dairy milk, which is built into the usual prices. When plant-based milks were a novel, fringe item, it was understandable to charge a little extra for them. But that is not the case now. And 80p is way too much, even if a small charge can be justified.

Friendly staff, nice little shop. We had a rustica pizza, then a coffee and cake. Everything was delicious. Just a couple of tables outside, and bar style window seats inside. Bread looked amazing, although we didn't have any.

Coffee americano was a bit strong...and it took a while to bring our order. But!! everything else was good. Really tasty pastries ,full plate of salad and crisps as side and so many options available for cakes and desserts . Very friendly staff 🙂 I'll definitely pay a visit next time I'll be in swanage.
Katerina P — Google review
Looks like the Rustica vegetarian pizza recipe has changed. Been having this pizza for years and always loved it, but today seriously disappointed. Just call it a caramelised onion pizza. Not much sign of the usual toppings. We were both shocked at the offering. We will now be giving second thoughts at ordering in future. Such a shame.

Cakes were absolutely delicious and what a selection. Wow. The breads looked amazing too. Tea was great but the latte was disappointing. Overall though would definitely recommend because of the cake.

New Street Bakery is a beloved spot with generous portions and friendly owners. The menu boasts jacket spuds with abundant fillings, delectable toasties, and fresh coleslaw. Customers rave about the accommodating service, with one mentioning receiving complimentary cheese on their order. This classic bakery offers high-quality fare at reasonable prices and is known for its popularity, so visiting during off-peak hours is advised to fully enjoy the experience.
The best filled rolls! I've been working in Dorchester for a year and sampled all of the other spots for take out lunch and this is by far the best. Wonderful fresh ingredients and delish bread too. You can't beat New Street Bakery!

Absolutely bangin’ brown roll and cake. Both massive and heavy with fillings. Delicious.
Trevor A — Google review
Lovely food but the service is utterly appalling. I live local and go occasionally but every time the two owners have been rude and disrespectful. Sad because if they had good or at-least decent customer service they’d be a great little place.
Robbie B — Google review
Absolutely brilliant bakery, when you go in it is always filled with sweet and savoury treats and the bread rolls are easily the best I have had from any bakery. Whenever I'm in Dorchester I always go in for 2 or 3 things and the service is great and never had any problems.
Craig G — Google review
Walked past saw the door open and signs out on the street . Assumed, as you do they must be open. Walked in and said good morning to the member of staff who was putting out crisps. They stated ‘we’re not open yet’ this was 4 minutes before the advertised opening time of 9am . Decided to take my business elsewhere instead of supporting this local business all because they couldn’t be bothered to serve me 4 minutes before they officially opened. Won’t be returning
Ashley F — Google review
What are all these fake reviews for!! We love this place - owners are lovely and food portions huge! Have had jacket spuds with loads of fillings and the best big salad full of fresh coleslaw. Also the tastiest toasties with lots of choice of fillings. We forgot to order cheese one of the spuds after paying, and the owner popped some on for free! Don’t read the bad reviews on here - just go try for yourselves :)

Not sure where to start really. Not a nice vibe when you walk in, almost feel like you’re a burden to the staff. The food is poor quality and there’s a member of staff, polish lady I believe who is extremely rude. Her husband is even worse. Actually felt threatened by them. Would avoid!

Pandora's Bakery is a charming spot that comes highly recommended by many. The English breakfast, known as the "9 version," offers a satisfying portion with 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms or hash browns, beans or tomatoes, thick toast, and coffee. Despite its seemingly modest size, it turns out to be just right and keeps you full until evening. The bakery also serves delectable cakes, pastries, savories and bread.
Lovely friendly service and great selection of sandwiches and cakes. Not sample eat in or hot food but sure thats good as well. Recommend a visit. Proper eccles cakes rather than big mince pies from the supermarkets.

I ordered a full breakfast with two extras and waited 40 minutes to be served only to have overcooked food and missing extras. I mentioned this to one of the women and was looked at like I was in the wrong and being rude for even mentioning it by the time they brought my extras out which I have paid for I was finished my food or it would’ve been cold. Patisserie Mark Bennett is a must-visit spot in Poole, known for its delectable pastries and wide selection of freshly prepared lunch items. The apple and cinnamon cronut was a delightful surprise with its soft, squishy texture and generous apple pie filling. The New York deli style bagel with pastrami ham, cheese, and pickles was excellent, while the millionaires shortbread proved to be indulgent and sweet.
We ordered a Salted Caramel Celebration Cake for a 50th Birthday and it was delicious and looked absolutely amazing! We got the largest size as it was being served at a party, which was a really good amount serving wise plus leaving us some left over to enjoy ourselves later on. Thank you so much Patisserie Mark Bennett, it was perfect & the birthday girl was thrilled with it😊
Clo — Google review
We used to absolutely LOVE this place and often stopped on the way home for bread and some cakes. It was never the cheapest of places but their cakes and sourdough were second to none and I loved chatting to the staff whilst they made our coffees. But my last visit was really the exact opposite to what I was used to. The person serving me was rude, unpleasant and clearly unhappy to be at work. She was chatting to her colleague next to the coffee machine knowing that I am waiting to be served. She got my order wrong and when I pointed it out she said “well that’s because you didn’t say that”… So I replied that I did and asked for her to correct it. After I paid for the rest of the order I asked if I can get a bag. “Bags are not free, you have to pay 10p”.. that is really not how you talk to people. She deliberately chucked all the goods to the paper bag knowing pretty well I had two cakes in there. So one of the cakes crumbled, the other got stuck to the paper bag. It was not a pleasant experience and I am not keen to return… It makes me sad as we were supporting the business right from the start at almost all of their branches.

Had a New York deli style bagel with pastrami ham cheese and pickles warmed up, it was excellent. And a millionaires shortbread, that was small, but I still had to eat in two sittings because it was so indulgent and sweet, the caramel layer was so thick! 😍... The sausage roll was only ok but all is forgiven. I will definitely be visiting again.

Bought a coffee, artisan sandwich, and a millionaires shortbread while waiting for MOT at neighbouring auto centre. Staff very cheery and happy to explain contents of food. A vast array of pastries, cakes and other sweet treats, fresh baked bread, savoury pasties and sausage rolls to name a few. Fairly busy about 10 minute wait for food and service. But well worth it the sandwich was great! The coffee was mediocre, but reason for 5 stars is the millionaires shortbread was the best I've tasted EVER! It was everything they are ment to be and more. Parking is a bit restricted at busy times as limited space All in all well done MB patisserie you have a life long customer.

Sandwiches are full and scrumptious. Cakes delicious. The floor by me was a bit messy but noticed staff had brush to sweep after we left, so maybe we got there before they had chance. Their bread is the best I've tasted. Staff helpful.

I went into the cafe to get a Sunday morning latte and a breakfast sandwich. I ordered a latte and an egg, bacon and sausage sandwich toasted from a friendly member of staff. 1 of more than 5 staff behind the counter. The coffee came shortly after and was very enjoyable. The cafe was not busy but it was quickly clear that take outs got faster service than eat in! 25 minutes later this toasted type sandwich came. I had finished my coffee. No apologies about the wait! It was an egg mayonnaise with chopped up bacon and sausage. Not what was ordered or expected. It was awful! I could have walked up The Road and bought a breakfast sandwich and coffee from Tescos and taken it home and toasted it!!!’ DO NOT GO HERE!! If you expect to “eat in”quickly or get. Traditional breakfast sandwich! Thoroughly disappointed with this cafe and for the. Price! Value for money for something edible is ZERO! But that facility is not available on the reviews

Le Petit Prince Patisserie is a charming coffee shop located on the corner of the precinct and Victoria Road. Absolutely charming bakery nestled in the heart of the town center! I've been a regular patron, often stopping by for a quick pick-me-up—a delicious coffee paired with a fresh croissant. However, today I decided to indulge in their breakfast offerings, and I'm so glad I did! The staff greeted me with warm smiles and were incredibly friendly throughout my visit. The breakfast menu, though concise, offered a delightful variety, and the food was incredibly fresh and flavourful. Every bite was a delight to the senses. Second time we returned to this lovely, welcoming French patisserie and bakery and I have to say I may become a regular as we are planning to move to the area soon. We have a dog and we were straight away given a bowl of water for our dog. So nice! We ordered Simply bacon for the kids and my husband and I had the Eggs Benedict but we fancied it with bacon instead of ham which was not a problem at all. It was so delicious, honestly the best I had for a long time. It was served with fresh salad and really tasty bread. The kids loved theirs too which is great as they are a bit fussy eaters. Highly recommend this lovely, friendly place and food is supers! Oh and the coffee as well so tasty and the cups cute :)

Highly recommend stopping off to visit this fabulous family owned and run bakery. Everything is made lovingly from scratch with proper fresh ingredients. None of these numbered fillers or preservatives. The bread is baked in a wood fire oven with many varieties to choose from. We loved our bread rolls filled with wood oven baked Mediterranean vegetables and hummus. Hot cross buns, cinnamon buns, and doughnuts are just some of the other treats to be enjoyed.

What a hidden gem of a bakery! I was visiting wimborne for an errand & researched on here what the best bakery was (there's so many!) but this one stood out for me. Love the rustic approach seeing the workshop through an old warehouse door & the makeshift stand out front as if I'm at a fête, it reminded me of a market stall in Corsica so beautifully presented. In all honesty I've never had such tasty bread in all my life!! The baguette has the perfect texture, great cut into rounds with a slice of brie & air fried for 7 mins. The veggie pizza was soft & delicious cold. The doughnuts came recommended & didn't disappoint. It took well over an hour to get there but was worth the drive & I will be back.

Delicious bread made the traditional way. Cakes galore. A bakery the way they used to be before Christmas brands were invented.
Christian N — Google review
WOW. So I read the reviews and wanted to taste as much as possible. Firstly I have to say TAKE CASH. They do not accept card payments. No onsite parking, but there is street parking for a few cars. Prices are very reasonable. I tried the sausage roll first. Perfectly seasoned sausage meat. Pastry was buttery deliciousness. Meat & potato pie was divine. Perfect meat potato ratio and moist. We will return to get more cornish pasties, the filling was moist and very well seasoned. The cakes are ridiculously light and fluffy. Just a word of warning, the savory treats are very filling so if you want to try a bit of everything, like I did, then go slow. I'm currently regretting life choices. Friendly staff. Very clean. Will know tomorrow if they taste better the next day as we barely got through half because we are stuffed. We'll definitely have midnight snacks tonight!

Just popped in on the way home from our Littlesea Haven holiday and all i can say is I wish we had this bakery where we live in Portsmouth! I love a bakery and this is one of the best I've ever been to! The rolls are so fresh with gorgeous salad and the Belgian buns and iced buns are to die for! Another reason to visit littlesea again!

Bakery
The Cornish Bakehouse is a traditional bakery in Plymouth that offers a wide selection of meat and vegetarian options, including the beloved Cornish pasty. With various fillings available, their pasties come close to capturing the nostalgic taste of a classic Ivor Dewdney pasty. However, some customers have noted that the pasties are not always served piping hot and can be slightly expensive.
Great cornish pasty, packed with flavour, moist but with a perfect crust. Reasonable price, £5.50 for a hot giant pasty. I can't remember having one as good as this even when in Cornwall. Only a short walk for the sandy beach too, so perfect beach time lunch, making a nice change from the usual fish and chips.
Keith T — Google review
Well, for somewhere that advertises itself as selling the best Cornish pasties, they need to up their game. Bought a veggie and a traditional to enjoy on the beach. Within 5 minutes of buying, both were cold. The whole point of a pasty is they stay hot. Very disappointed.
Tanya R — Google review
We went in for Cornish pasties. The young man who served us was super friendly and helpful. We bought one giant and one medium pasty and also a sausage roll. The pasties were perfectly cooked, piping hot, tasty and definitely authentic. They would have got 5 stars for the pasties but the sausage roll was undercooked and didn't taste at all. We took our food around the corner to the promenade and sat on a bench as there is no seating inside the bakery.
Dasreiseteam — Google review
Popped in here on bank holiday Monday as we didn't want a big lunch. The girl serving wasn't exactly super friendly, but we preferred a Cornish pasty, a steak bake and spotted the biscoff brownies so got some of those as well as I'm a big fan of the combination. The steak bake was really good, pasty was pretty good too. The brownies were a complete let down though, seems to only have biscuit crumb on the top so doesn't really taste of biscoff and the actual brownie just wasn't anything amazing

Biggest Merengues I have ever seen in my life and the one I picked was delicious! I love Merengue since my childhood and it was class to find it in a bakery (where I know it from from my childhood), whereas it is rare to see that in Ireland.
Christina W — Google review
Went here around 12:30, ran out of jacket potatoes & sausage rolls. My Dad got a pastie & was convinced it was from the previous day. Pastry was very hard & said he preferred the ones from Asda!
Lisa B — Google review
Nice staff. Pasties and pizza sold. Also they have a huge amount of meringue for sale (not something I would choose personally). Cash /card accepted. Some vegetarian options.

Sausage roll was bright pink inside and gave me food poisoning on my birthday. Will never return

Peppina - Sicilian Micro Bakery in Weymouth is a hidden gem, highly recommended with an array of delectable treats. Their almond biscuits are a must-try, along with their pizza kit for a convenient homemade dinner. Everything on their menu is delightful, including the focaccia, arancini, sourdough loaves, pistachio & white chocolate cake, freshly-filled cannoli, and variety of sauces and condiments.
Wow! Such a wonderful little bakery, tucked away as a Weymouth secret. 110% recommended. Everything I've ever had from there is just perfect. So tasty, authentic and fresh. I suggest you get the almond biscuits, if you're in time before they run out and if you want to stay home and prep your own dinner the pizza kit is perfect. EVERYTHING is wonderful. The focaccia, the arancini, the sourdough loaves, the pistachio & white chocolate cake, the freshly-filled cannoli and the range of sauces and condiments. GO, you won't be disappointed. ❤️

Love Peppina. Big fan of Sicily, and when you can't easily get there, this is the next best thing. Lots of sweet and savoury snacks and jars of Sicilian produce. My favourites are the freshly baked foccachia and aranchini. Freshly piped canolli are also wonderful if you want something sweet. Only wished they sold crema di pistacchio. Friendly team running the bakery - grazie mille!
Mike C — Google review
This very small Sicilian bakery has some delicious sweet treats, the Cannoli is so good, absolutely lovely.
George — Google review
We stumbled upon this great little bakery on a trip and I ate the most amazing chocolate custard croissant I’ve ever had! My friend had a cannoli that was equally as delicious! The staff were so lovely, will definitely come again!
Sophie P — Google review
Bought a few pizza slices to take away and tried out their finish-at-home pizza-making kits. Really good quality bases and authentic toppings, including beautifully sweet caponata and an inspired combination of speck, Gorgonzola and walnuts. A welcome addition to the Weymouth food scene- can’t wait to stock up here for beach days in summer.

So happy Peppina has come to Weymouth! Superb, authentic flavours and the best, classiest pizza around! We always get our bread from there and treat ourselves to cannoli.

An absolute hidden gem! The small almond biscuits and the cannoli are the highlights for me! If you're in the area please swing by the shop in Weymouth and try something ... I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Shelleys Bakery at Highcliffe offers a delightful selection of baked goods, including spelt and honey bread, Belgium buns, cinnamon buns, and Lardy cake. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Customers can also find a variety of options at their market stall in Lymington. Whether it's fresh rolls, sandwiches made to order, or delectable cakes, this bakery has something for everyone.
I visited on Saturday afternoon and was greeted by a lovely lady. I asked if rolls with fillings were still being made and was told they were. I asked for a cheese and salad roll with salad cream! Whilst waiting I spotted a huge cinnamon bun large enough to share. The roll and the bun we shared later were absolutely delicious. The little table and chairs at the front were an added bonus. My son had Battenberg which according to him was a million times better than the shop bought variety. I highly recommend this lovely bakery. They even deliver and cater for birthdays etc.
Alison C — Google review
I checked out the new Lymington location yesterday - I was greeted by friendly staff and helped quickly to make a fresh sandwich. The bread was cut right in front of me and the coronation chicken filling was the best I've had! They are working on a meal deal sign with all the info as to what's Included. I look forward to coming back, thank you 🙌🏻

Fabulous traditional authentic bakery with great range of on premises baked loaves, cakes, sausage rolls and loads more. Friendly helpful staff epitomising what good service & customer care looks like. Also offers their own home made sandwiches range, what's not to like ? If you want real bread, light fluffy cakes, sausage rolls with the flakiest of pastry and cakes to blow your taste buds, this is where you need to be,the premier baker in Highcliffe.

Best cinnamon bun I’ve ever had. Huge selection of cakes and bakes. Friendly staff. Best bakery in the area.
Lucas M — Google review
I bought a strawberry 🍓 tart. Which I thought had to be pastry base. I don't know what that was made from but it wasn't even edible. It was like eating card board. In fact the cardboard would of been better. I also bought a seeded loaf of bread 🍞 which was dry. Don't know how long it had been in the shop. So over all not happy 😒. And would definitely not go back 😒.
Deborah F — Google review
We bought three loaves of bread and a chorizo sausage roll from the Salisbury market. The loaves were average and a bit stale, and the sausage roll was not chorizo-flavoured. But worst of all, I received some casual racism from the man behind the counter, an older gentleman, when talking about the people of Bournemouth. Left a nastier taste than the bang-average sausage roll.
Tom M — Google review
The best bakery by a mile, delicious bread and cakes, we will now make the trip to buy direct from the shop rather than wait for the Saturday market, I would upload a photo be we have eaten it all! Great products made with care, nothing synthetic just fabuous baking.

Patisserie
Tiramisu Sorrento Italian Patisserie, located just off Poole Quay, is a delightful find for those with a sweet tooth. The patisserie offers an array of authentic Italian pastries and treats that have left many visitors raving about their experience. From savory options like Bolognaise-filled Arancini and handmade pizza to sweet delights such as pistachio cream cake and torte del Nonna, the offerings are described as nothing short of fantastico!
They were doing a tasting and we happened to walk past. Beautiful range of Italian pastries and cakes. All handmade onsite. Couldn't resist buying a black cherry cream cake and a few other bits. All delicious. Staff are warm and friendly. Clean, pretty little cafe. Seats outside.
Ingrid S — Google review
Quick Mocha stop for the four of us but ended up scoffing Cannolo as they looked so awesome. The Italian lady serving us then plopped a small taster plate of Arancini in front of us and we inhaled it. Fantastic! The toilets were super-clean too. Five stars from us.🫡
Simon T — Google review
Wow! Stumbled on Tiramisu Sorrento when we were out with friends today! My husband spotted Arancini in the window and the young man confirmed this was Bolognaise filled. So we popped inside and bought some Arancini and Pizza plus handmade sfogliatelle and torte del Nonna to take home. What can I say the excitement of finding an Italian Patisserie with incredible savoury and sweet pastries was fantastico!!! I see from other reviews most people love this gem of a cafe. The one poor review says more about the ignorance of the reviewer that this business, sfogliatelle is not a croissant so don’t judge it as one! My experience of the staff was very good. The young lady serving us answered my questions and was enthusiastic. I spied a very good coffee machine so will be back to sit down next time. Super impressed enough to recommend on first visit! Thank you Tiramisu Sorrento! 🙏🏼💙 🇮🇹

Lovely Tea and beautifully made cake! Would have been nicer if it'd been brought to our table rather than handed to us on a plate at the counter. Having said that it was a great bit of cake and we will be back!

For once was happy it started to rain! We ended up in this wonderful little Italian coffee shop. The cakes we had were a whole other level and never had anything like them! Would definitely recommend. Staff were friendly, it was clean and the coffee was also very nice. Will definitely return on next visit!

Words are not enough to say what a lovely treat we had from this great place. This pistachio birthday cream cake was just out of this world , fresh with delicious creamy texture made with the best quality of Italian ingredients by the best pastry chef Vittorio Esposito from Sorrento. Grateful that we have a place like this in Poole which servers best cakes, sweets and savoury treats. Thank you for your amazing staff who treats you more than a family . Wish you many more years in do what you do the BEST. GRAZIE per la vostra originalità e ospitalità

Best place to go in Poole when you want to eat delicious Italian pastries and feel like you are in Italy. I can't express the amazing flavours that brings back memories from Nonna's cooking. I’d read good things about this small chain of patisseries and only happened across this particular one by accident. We only had coffees and a homemade sausage roll but they were delicious. I look forward to visiting their other patisseries and trying more of the menu!

Without a doubt THE best bakery in the area. Customer service is exceptional, the food is incredible (and I have tried almost everything on their entire menu!), and just an overall wonderful experience. If you are unsure what to get, I definitely recommend The Jay Special... you will not be disappointed! You are missing out if you have not been to this place!

Great place for delicious quick lunch. I had BLT special sandwich (brown bread) and my husband had BLT special in brown baguette. Both delicious. We could not agree what option was better. I would say bread, my hubby would go for the baguette again. Both were really soft, full of chicken, bacon, avocado and juicy tomatoes with lettuce. Staff was very helpful and whole service swift. I asked to remove fat off the bacon and they even managed to do so. We had almond cookies… OMG, these are to die for. If you have a sweet tooth, try it. It doesn’t look appetising or welcoming, but don’t let it to put you off. 4stars only because there could be a bit more mayo in the baguette. It felt a bit dry. But some people could actually prefer it. And tables were left with dirty dishes on and they did not wipe our table down. It was a bit dirty. Otherwise all good and we will definitely come back.
Iva I — Google review
Ordered a cake and two cappuccinos. After a 10 minute wait I chased the cappuccinos twice to be told the only person trained to make them was out the back making sandwiches (whilst the other girl stood drinking her tea with nobody to serve). Tables were dirty despite no customers and two staff. Shame the service doesn’t match the delicacies. Won’t be going again!!

Treated ourselves to a selection of cakes today - rocky road, millionaire’s shortbread, chocolate caramel cronut and an almond croissant- they were all incredible. Very happy this bakery has come to Christchurch - we’ll be back for more!

Popped in for my wifes 40th birthday lunch... the first day too of allowing dine in after lock down. Had the Christmas pasty which was really nice. Made a visit here twice as the food is so nice. Lovely selection of food at good prices. The Dorset Apple cake is delicious and the bread was really fresh. Ideal to get your picnic supplies here if you are heading for Lulworth Cove.
Lynn C — Google review
Can’t fault the service, the ladies are welcoming and friendly hence the 2 stars here but the pasty was extremely disappointing, again. I had a steak and ale pasty a few months ago was really disappointed how little steak and ale was in it but assumed it was just bad luck. Tried one again today, as you can see from the images I’ve literally eaten 3/4 of the pasty which again was either just pastry or potatoes before I found any meat! It should be called a potato pasty with hint of meat!! When you pay £3.70 I’m not expecting an 8oz rump in there but more than 3 small pieces would be good!! You know it’s not a good pasty when your rating a Gingsters as better!!
Trevor H — Google review
Lovely old bakery located at WOOL. This is 15 mins on way to lulworth cove! We had a mango milkshake and chicken tikka sandwich. I loved the air and feel of the small village. There was a SPAR next to the bakery along post office. To avoid the queue, you may want to scan and pre order.
Rohit R — Google review
Disappointed to say the least. Ordered a baguette in the hopes of a decent sandwich made by a proper local bakery. Instead, I received a store-bought baguette (one of the soggy, part-baked kind) which was reminiscent of school lunches, filled with mediocre ingredients. One would assume a bakery would "bake" rather than buy in bulk from Asda. The ham was fine, lettuce was wilted, and the cheese was pre-bought grated cheddar, not that you could tell the type of cheese as it tasted like rubber and was highly processed. Nearly £9 for a school-lunch sandwich, packet of crisps, and a bottle of coke. If I wasn't so desperate for sustenance I would have returned it. My suggestion - demonstrate you can bake by actually baking the baguettes and invest in even slightly more quality ingredients rather than popping to Asda. The only saving grace is that they made the food to order.
Tom P — Google review
I went in too try my luck. Half price cakes I was after.. Lovely village lady had the doughnuts or yum yum for a quid... Twisted my arm had the Yum Yum. And it's almost as good as my nans .. Bless her little socks. Apple cake..x

Great little bakery to visit if you're in the area. A good selection of snacks to suit the sweet and savoury toothed. Sausage roll was filling and very nice. Sandwich was freshly prepared to order. Small selection of drinks as well, plus a few tables and chairs outside to sit down and enjoy your food. A good resting point if you're out for a walk and don't want to take your own food. Would definitely return.

What a great little find. Popped there today. So friendly and pleasant. Fresh made sandwiches, pies and pasties and great selection of cakes. Real old school selection of stuff and latte coffee was lovely and really hot which is tough to find these days. Was tempted by the biggest vienese whirl but already bought other stuff first. Recommend a visit if passing.
