I took part in the half day sourdough course and it was exceptional. Keith knew everything there was to know about the bread making process. He made it informational, relaxed and fun. I ended up with two incredible loaves of sourdough as well as some Chelsea buns. Lots of snacks and drinks throughout the course was an additional bonus. It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their baking. Thanks Keith and the entire Loaf team, you've got something really special here!

Ordered 2 pasties which were piping hot and really good. Called in another day for cake to take to a sick relative. Didn't get to try them but judging by the ack of choice when I got there in the afternoon they must be good

This is our local bakery. The bread is great, but I highly recommend their chicken and mushroom slices! As well as shopping we’ve also done one of their baking courses and have two more books. It was great fun and very informative too.

Loaf are one of our suppliers! Their customer service is first class, their bakes are phenomenal! We’ve been a couple of times for brunch and the service and food is exceptional.

OMG What's not to like! Lovely village (very small) with some typical village shops including the Loaf which is a bakery/cafe. The bread is famous across Derbyshire (and can be sourced at Matlock market on Wednesdays just be early!) and is just amazing. The cafe is busy locally and rightly so..... 5*s across the board

Nice place , could do with a more varied menu for breakfast . My order has been forgotten quiet often and when I asked about it the last time I was told they were busy and it was in the way , not very friendly - I watched as they then proceeded to speak to another team member and quiet clearly it had been forgotten . Dog friendly and the pizza take a way is great The quiche to take out is tasty

We used the Loaf’s delivery (and by accident collection) service via text. We ordered loaf boxes and various items to be delivered to ourselves and our in-laws. The service provided by Suzie and the team was really good, the food itself is fresh and so tasty. With excellent feedback to all those we shared it with. I can’t wait until lockdown is lifted so we can go and try The Loaf’s cafe facilities. Thank you again, you’ve been brilliant!

Oh my gosh! If you're looking for the best place in town for a cuppa tea and a Bakewell pudding then this is the place. We had looked at a few cafes in town and decided upon this one and by god wasn't disappointed 💯. The Bakewell pudding was absolutely delicious fresh and came with a small jug of custard. The pot of tea came with an extra pot of hot water which was great. Everyone of their cakes on display looked absolutely amazing and wish I could have tried everyone of them. You can sit in or take your food away. After our food we returned later that afternoon for another cuppa tea and to pick up 2 take away Bakewell puddings for the next few days 😋 The shops has a small selection of merchandise including a must take home fridge magnet. Try this place and you won't be disappointed 😋💯❤️

My friends and I all had a Bakewell tart at the Bakewell Tart Shop & Coffee House, and we absolutely loved them! The tarts were delicious – rich, fresh, and full of flavour. I also had an oat milk chai latte, which was really tasty and perfectly spiced. It’s the only spot in Bakewell I would recommend for a Bakewell tart – definitely worth a visit!

Hands down, a place that has to be on the itinerary if you’re in Bakewell. Opted for the tart and pudding and both were yum! The flavour came through perfectly, without being excessively sweet and both were equally good. I would say the one you prefer comes down to a textural preference.

Nice Bakewellian café with the signature Bakewell tarts. Could come in and grab one to take home or dine in. We came for a snack and an afternoon dessert. Staff are friendly and we got to add a pin to the world map.

Came for a small bite to eat for breakfast, in particular we came for the traditional bakewell pudding. There is an option for the pudding to be served with custard, cream, and ice cream however this did cost extra. I opted for custard and my partner got cream. The flavour was probably the best bakewell pudding I have had in the town, and I've visited most places that sell them as it's a bit of a tradition each time I come up. Not sure why the pictures have a green effect but it seems to be a reflection! Although the food was excellent, the falling down point was the price, as it definitely felt like tourist trap prices. The two bakewell puddings, one with cream, one with custard, and a single bottle of water came in at over £15, which for me, was too high for what you get, and takes it from 5 star, down to 4 star.

Amazing Bakewell puddings..which one can have with ice cream , cream or custard. Very good coffee as well. Staff are very friendly, prices are reasonable.

Very friendly staff lovely food and a great coffee, what more could you ask for. They have had a new makeover and it looks so much better. They also have a map of the world so visitors can ask to have their name on a flag and put on the country they live in, genius. Recommended.

My partner and I came in and bought a couple of Vegan Homity Pies to take on a walk. Absolutely sensational, and a real treat to be able to find somewhere like this with lots of vegan options! We saved some for when we are back at the AirBnB to have warm, too. Also grabbed a vegan Bakewell Tart which we'll enjoy later. Will be returning tomorrow to stock up for our freezer at home! :)

THE go to place for locally made gifts by post. A delicious box of Brownies arriving through the letterbox never fails to delight! Lovely staff, great bakery, vegan and gf options

It was really busy when we arrived and the poor staff were working really hard — yet they still kept their cool and their sense of humour! The food was AMAZING 😋 We also bought a full Bakewell Tart to take home. Well, some of it to take home!

Really good customer service. From my enquiry online before coming to the Peak District and when we came for lunch, service was exceptional. Didn't hesitate to answer our dietary questions, was honest in their answers and food was delicious. Hot food served till 2pm. I had the hot homity pie, my brother had chilli non carne and we both had the Bakewell tarts. Tea was a good mug of tea (if you know, you know). Highly recommend and the half hour trip just to come here was worth it. Photo of the food doesn't do it justice. Tastier than it perhaps looks.

Amazing pies ahhh ! A homity pie was just what we needed on day two of the Limestone way, which navigated us along the River Bradford where we saw lots of families enjoying a day by the riverside, closely replicating the joys of Georges Seurat ! Whilst we were hesitant to stop off in the nearby village and keep our walking momentum going (my boyfriend didn’t understand that a holiday is about taking some time out to enjoy ourselves), a short walk up the hill into the village and a small sign indicating pies, cakes and more led us to Peak Feast ! We actually weren’t sure what a homity pie was, but on further days in the Peaks noted that they seemed to be quite famous in the area, filled with a comforting potato and leek filling topped with a cheesy crust. The pie is veggie and you can have a vegan version too, either way they’re banging, peng potato pies. There are also a number of veggie and vegan cakes plus home cooked meals in the fridge freezer which also all looked delicious , we recommend the apricot cashew cake !

Delicious food! Perfect for a quick lunch after a hike in the surrounding area. The staff were nice enough to serve us after the official closing time as well which was very much appreciated. We also got some frozen meals to eat for later which were just as good as the food on site. Also very impressed with the compostable plates/utensils! And lastly.. Coffee is amazing. Definitely a highlight of the Peak District :)

In this time of need they have pulled out the stops and delivered to us as a household with three extremely vulnerable adults. Thank you Spondon Bakery - your food has always tasted great, but now more so than ever.

We bought two lovely filled baps and two cups of tea to take away. They were delicious with oodles of tuna. Everyone was helpful and polite. Next time I'll try the cakes 😋.

Unlike previous reviewer, parking not a problem, I used the Co-Op close by, nor was the owner rude or in anyway disrespectful. The ONLY FAULT I CAN BE GIVE IT AFTER TRAVELLING TO IT, IN GREAT EXPECTATION, IT HAS CLOSED, SHUT DOWN AND GONE AWAY- DO EVERYONE A FAVOUR AND TAKE YOUR WEBSITE DOWN PLEASE!

Drove by here today so we decided to pop in. Considering it was a sunday we were surprised at how many cakes/pastries, scones, and fresh fruit and veg they had. Everything we bought was delicious and priced well, we will definitely return.

The breads they do are deliciousi also like the Greek food...just been to their new stall in the INTU market and managed to grab a feta & spinach triangle and a piece of bougatsa which i'm looking forward to enjoying later! Lovely selection of food.

I bought a Rosemary and Sea Salt loaf from the friendly chilly lady at Park Farm yesterday and I have to say it is the best bread I have eaten in years. Absolutely delicious!

Great selection of fresh bakes. lovely aroma in the shop. Reminds me of my childhood going tobthe bakery and getting a bun for a treat. Really well presented

What can I say, the bakery is lovely but my word how the staff members speak to people is appalling, one impartial staff member spoke me to like I was a complete moron, after asking for a bun that was in the window tutting at me and basically threw my change at me Clearly she's not happy working there I honestly felt like giving my purchases back and saying I want my money back I was disgusted and so were a few more customers behind me Absolute lacking in respect and customer care. Disgusting behaviour!! Never again will I give them my money

Came today I always call in when in chesterfield and the customer service was awful. There isn’t any names or prices in the window on the bakery items and was looked at like a piece of muck when I asked what they were called. The younger girl was just rude. Definitely won’t be going back. The cakes/ bakery items were so so dry and stale.

Visited today for the bakery. The cakes in the window are not labelled or priced, so we had to point instead of asking for each cake by its name, which made it very awkward. It was made especially awkward and unpleasant when the woman who "served" us was the least cooperative and most miserable person ever on earth. She kept looking out of the window looking fed up and bored when we were ordering. She never asked if we wanted items separately packaged and then when she had finished she didn't ask if we needed a carrier bag so we asked for one and she just passed it over for us to pack ourself. Furthermore when she gave us the bill she never said "please" or "Thank you" and just held the card machine towards us and then we left feeling disgusted by this establishment.

Awful service. It seemed to be too much trouble for a staff member to serve me. She was miserable, no please or thank you. Maybe it's time for her to find a job which better suits her! Whatever happened to customer service? Food was dry and tasteless.

Let's talk staff first! Unfortunately any of the staff lack proper customer service skills, unless you fit their clique of course in which case they're slightly better. Although it's very obvious they would rather talk to each other. The sandwiches are bang average. However if you go for a hot roast option you might be lucky enough to get a lovely bit of foil hidden in there somewhere. If you're really lucky it might even get lodged in your throat. The service is slow and for some reason the servers can't remember more than one sandwich order at a time. If you try and order more than one sandwich, they'll either walk away from you or ask you repeatedly what you want on them. Convenient location in the town centre and if you're really lucky you might get service with a smile.

Always vist when in Chesterfield, Top quality, Great value, Chesterfield's real gem, Always found staff very helpful, wish I lived closer.

Haven't tried their other products but the meat pies are out of this word!.

I had great service at the Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop and restaurant. I went up to the restaurant for breakfast, and was able to get a table, even though I didn’t have a reservation. I had the Original Pudding for breakfast, along with a pot of tea. It was DELICIOUS. I had bought a tart and pudding to bring back for my husband to try later, and we both preferred the pudding to the tart, though the in-restaurant experience, when it was served with warm custard, was the highlight. Would definitely go back!

Went in for lunch for 3 people. The food was excellent, but the service was atrocious. After being seated we had to ask for a server so we could place our food order. We ordered a soup and a main course and the person bringing out the food had to ask if we wanted our soup served before the main course. Why would you want them together. We wanted Bakewell pudding for dessert and had to ask for our dishes to be cleared so we could order it. Meanwhile other tables were being cleared. I asked the person serving the food and he said he’d send our waitress, but she never showed up and we never saw her again. I did get the server to order it and then had to ask again that it had been ordered. It took over 15 minutes to get their signature dessert to us. Overall service was appalling. The place needs more staff and better communications between the staff they have and then with the customer.

A nice spot for breakfast if visiting the area. Slightly strange smell upstairs in the restaurant and they had run out of orange juice on a Sunday morning (9am) - I gladly had the last one but the rest of the group went without! Food was tasty but not huge portions. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated quickly.

On the main road through Bakewell is the original Bakewell pudding shop. Excellent place,that sells original Bakewell puddings and tarts and loads of other sorts of tarts,cakes and savoury stuff. They also sell lots of drinks including ridiculously expensive bottles of beer . There is room for dining and also a small beer garden type place at the back. Lovely old building, spotlessly clean , with friendly,helpful staff.

Hard to visit Bakewell and not partake of a tart/pudding. This was the place we chose and the light bites were very nice and good value. We tried a Bakewell Pudding and a tart and it was very nice indeed. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town.

A generous slice of delicious, fresh chocolate cake cost £6, while the famous Bakewell pudding, served with custard or cream, was £10 individually or £16 for a sharing option. Our group opted for individual puddings with custard. Though small, the puddings were warm, freshly baked, and delightful, paired with creamy custard. At £10, the price felt steep for the portion, but it’s a must-try in Bakewell. Alternatives like Bakewell tarts, sandwiches, and other cakes were also available. Overall, the experience was pleasant, blending touristy appeal with genuine charm. A visit here is worth it for the iconic pudding and cozy vibe.

Came here to try the famous pudding. Was surprised at the cost, so opted for a sharer between 4 of us. It was delicious - did not expect to like more than Bakewell tart but it definitely took poll position! Nice seating. Service was quite brusque

Great vibes and thoughtful food. Fry up was high quality everything was sources for great food producer. Coffee was great, and the interior was low fi vibes. Chilled. Service was exceptional and very friendly.

I really liked the interior and their branding, using good quality eggs too. 👏 It has cozy vibes, and I liked the outside, I could hear some good sound from church too, which was extra good. However, I and my friend both ordered iced latte, the ice was already too melted in the coffee sadly… and food price made us expect full dish but the amount was too less… adding avocado was 4 pounds so I assumed it would be one or half of whole avocado would be cutted on the bread but it was just too little… 😔 Thankfully I was not like super starving that time but it was a little disappointing 😢 Also I think if some menus are sold out, it would be better to mention on the menu 🙂‍↕️

Wonderful food and coffee. The quality of the ingredients is really something else. Service is also great. The vegan foods I tried there are among the best I have ever had!

My friends and I came here for brunch one Sunday morning while in Sheffield for a short break. The food and service was okay. We dined outside, which was noisy since the church next door was ringing their bells.

The food is tasty, and the coffee is yummy. The prices however are crazy, £16 for 2 poached eggs in a tomato sauce. Would come here more if the prices reflected the portion sizes.

Love both locations. Been going for years. Staff used to be very personable and there are a few that are really lovely but i think it now being so popular the staff are a bit overwhelmed and so that polite-ness has taken a back seat. Sometimes it seems like a big ask to ask for tap water. Food and drink are tasty though.

Called on a Monday afternoon. Disappointing unfortunately. It's not really a cafe. It's a bakery with plastic, pink and purple chairs and tables outside (not very clean - we saw no cleaning between customers at all)on a very busy road. I don't remember seeing any indoor seating. Coffee is in cardboard cups and food was served in cardboard boxes. 'Cakes' were all traybakes or that type and £4 a piece. As I suffer with dysphagia (due to extensive radiotherapy not just fussy!) we asked if it was possible to have some pouring cream so that I would be able to swallow it but that was just a flat 'no'. Staff didn't appear terribly happy 😕 But it has 5 stars for food and hygiene and seemed popular so if you're after a takeaway (and don't have any eating problems) it is quite adequate (hopefully the staff were just having an off day🤷🏻‍♀️)

Visited Bridge bakehouse for the 1st time after trying some of their goodies at one of their wholesale. Wow the counter selection was incredible, so much variety. I went for their deal of 4 itens for £15.00 and selected a churro cookie that was really nice, the snickers brownie that was packed with flavour (the only thing that I would point is that personally I would prefer the top chocolate layer was more soft rather than hard chocolate, but still very yummy), the caramel and pistachio blondie was really nice (they completely nail the blondie fudginess that I love) and a biscoff slice that was really good as well. We didn't try the pastries or cakes so I can't comment on that. But their cookies, brownies and blondies are outstanding and always really good. Everytime we drive to this area we buy some goodies at the local places they supply as wholesale. If you are in the area, definitely try it out

Visited this place while staying in Whaley Bridge and what a lovely place with good food and great staff. They were very friendly and welcoming. We had cheese and onion pasties, which were nice and a custard tart and a Bakewell slice, which were really yummy 😋 We called on our way home and took some brownies home for my son, which again were lovely. Nice little area to sit outside too. Would definitely recommend and they told us we could order online for home delivery which is definitely worth considering 😊👍🏼

Such a fantastic bakery and breakfast place! I had avocado on toast with eggs. They had avocado on toast with bacon and an egg listed, but when I asked to switch the bacon for another egg (as I’m vegetarian) they did this without question. Serving portions were big, got four slices of toast with avocado and two eggs and a huge portion of rocket salad on the side. I also ordered some of their brownies to take home and the giant jammy dodger and Dubai brownie were absolutely amazing.

A must visit if you are in the area, freshly made sandwiches to order. Always amazing. With cakes so delicious aswell. Highly recommend

Presentation poor and extremely overdone bacon! Not what you expect for. £5.50 sandwich. I have been going for years and presentation and quality have declined. Atmosphere frosty. Service got a 4 as the lady who took the order was very polite and it was ready in the time they advised.

What a gem of a place! Must visit if you are around the area. We had a pie and a soup and we had to come back for a pasty as they were too good! They have lots of cakes and we tried the vegan brownie which is amazing. Friendly staff. Only but was the ciabatta bread that came with the soup which was not toasted (personal preference, I like crunchy bread)

We found this place after calling into a pub that didn’t sell food but a local lad told us to try The Cherry Tree and we were so glad we did. It was busy and really friendly with plenty of things to look at on the walls. My Mum is originally from Barnsley so was sending her some of the Yorkshire mottos on the walls. After a short wait our food was ready and OMG it was so homely and perfect for Sunday. We had the lamb tagine (gluten free) and steak and kidney pudding - the chips were divine and I will definitely drive the 90 mins just to eat here again xx

10 of us went today (18/5/2025) had a great welcome from the team there and the food is fantastic!.I chose to have the Sunday lunch everyone else had different things and they all remarked how lovely the food was.The pub itself is a lovely place overlooking the countryside and the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us..Thank-you to everyone at The Cherry Tree we will almost certainly be back.

Beautifully located looking over the Cawthorne valley. Great service and food. Really friendly atmosphere too.

Can't fault this, lovely clean pub. Loads of tables outside and big car park. Good varied menu ( even dog one too). Our big Greyhound was allowed in the bar area to settle while we ate. Food was hot, really tasty and plentiful. ( maybe a tad too much salad) but nothing to detract from the amazing food, good thick ham, with loads of pickles, the piccalilli was gorgeous. Chicken sandwich had lovely stuffing on and with a plate of chips ( not fries 👍) so good. Staff attentive but not too in your face. Great pub, definitely coming back. Oh yes, good variety of drinks too...😁

Nice pub friendly staff. Dog friendly. Called for Sunday lunch wasn't impressed with frozen roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings. And beef from packet. Would be back but not for Sunday lunch for the price can have better elsewhere .

Very nice place to eat had the gammon 10oz

The pastel was excellent, with a crisp pastry casing that was the perfect thickness and a rich, creamy filling. The chocolate cookie was rather average, though the banana and peanut muffin was lovely. The icing was tasty, despite the muffin itself being slightly too dense. The texture of the candied banana and peanuts added a nice touch elevating it. However, the establishment is not the cheapest of bakeries.

I had brunch at the Forge Bakehouse. They microwave their food and eggs. Eggs are rock hard, way overcooked and the food overall doesn’t taste good. We are not happy with the food there sorry to say.

So so disappointed... Forge bake house was my fav cafe for many years but feel like since they've expanded the quality of pastries and service has gone down massively. Got a bear claw croissant at 7:30am at the train station, you'd think it would be freshly baked,but it was super dry and no filling inside!! They used to have so much almond/marzipan inside!! The girl who worked there today seemed like she hates people, never seen anyone so fed up with life :D not sure what changed but won't be going there again sadly :(

I’m allergic to eggs and nuts and zero options of sweet treats to cater for this allergy. Flat white was nice however quite bitter coffee Hot chocolate was pretty watery/milky rather than chocolatey.

Forge supplied the sweet treats for our wedding and we were not disappointed! We got two types of pastries and two types of donuts. Doing everything vegan was not a problem for the bakery and everyone was raving about them! Highly recommend if you're looking for someone to cater bakes and treats.

Gorgeous lunch spot, really fresh ingredients and friendly service. I had the harissa eggs with fried chicken and my friend has the pancakes with plum/mascapone/honeyed wallnuts- both delicious. Great selection of freshly baked breads / pastries to takeaway!

I love this café! Always a warm welcome from Courteney who makes visiting Skinny Kitten an absolute pleasure. Her home made cakes are delicious and varied plus there is always plenty to choose from for breakfast or lunch. Service is always prompt and friendly whether it's Courteney or Mollie looking after you :)

Really lovely little cafe. Had lunch here whilst visiting a spa nearby. Lovely food and atmosphere. Lots of really different things on the menu to your run of the mill stuff and although I didn't try one the cakes looked amazing.

We recently ordered the takeaway Charcuterie boxes, and what a wonderful little cafe in Barton. The experience from ordering, through to pick up was fantastic and the communication from the team first class. Food was ready on time and it tasted delicious. Fresh and wonderfully wholesome. Anyone thinking the food from here is anything other than top class needs their heads wobbling. Thanks Skinny Kitten we will be back

Quirky, cosy cafe. Stylish and comfortable inside. Food was good, staff very friendly. Just FYI if you’re looking for a working spot; WiFi signal is a bit intermittent around the back, and you’re not allowed to plug laptops in.

Had a cappuccino and brie and bacon panini, both were very tasty with little waiting time considering how busy the cafe was at the time. Catered for all ages and was welcomed in a warm atmosphere - will definitely be visiting again :)

Well...what can I say apart from being poor. We were one of 3 small tables present. We ordered a eggs benedict, club bagel & child's sausage sandwich. They advised us that it would be 30 mins for our order, which we didn't mind. However, it took 45 mins for our order to arrive. My husband's egg benedict didn't have runny eggs, no bacon and stale muffin. He said it tasted like it had been sitting a while & he said it was the worst eggs benedict that he's ever had. We asked for mayo on my son's sausage sandwich & they responded saying that they had no mayo although I had mayo in my club sandwich. My club sandwich was ok, although the bacon was very chewey! Also my husband's decaf cappuccino was cold It used to be good, but it has recently dropped significantly on food quality and service.

I ama regular at Skinny Kitten. It is a lovely small business. The service is always prompt and cheerful. Food and drink excellent. Highly recommend

Always friendly and a nice atmosphere here. I've never had food - always come in for a drink. But it's always lovely.

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and comfortable seating, making it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. The menu had a decent variety, with some unique drinks and pastries that stood out. However, the service was a bit inconsistent. While the staff was friendly, it took longer than expected to get our order, and one of the items was incorrect. The food itself was good but not exceptional—my sandwich was tasty but slightly overpriced for the portion size. The coffee, though, was a highlight, with a rich flavor that I really enjoyed.

I purchased an afternoon tea for my mums birthday for 3 of us. And nothing was too much for the staff. All very welcoming and helpful. And the afternoon tea was absolutely amazing was so tasty and filling and to top it off we were able to take the left over cakes home with us. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you cafe b

Stumbled upon this cosy little cafe after my yoga class and I can't believe I haven't been here sooner! I totally missed out! ❤️Amazing food with delicious vegan (and gluten free) options, both savoury and sweet, including (decaf) coffee with plant based oat or soya mylk! The decor is so warm and welcoming, music from 70's-80's adds to the atmosphere, and last but definitely not least, the staff is sooooo friendly and accommodating! Did I mention the place is doggy friendly and they even have doggy menu available!!! 5/5 and beyond 🥰🥰🥰 One happy customer and I will be coming more often for sure!

Truly delicious coffee (I had the decaffeinated Americano), the best I've had in a very long time, and I am a bit of aficionado. The carrot and walnut cake was beautifully presented and also exceptional. Yum. Come along! With the window seat I could sit here all day and people watch.

Tried out this place yesterday with my partner and our friend. Totally and utterly felt like a kid in a candy shop! There was so many treats to see and try out (unfortunately there was no samples to try)… It took us a little longer than expected to choose something as everything looked so tasty. I ended up choosing a Jaffa Cake brownie and a cup of tea. Slightly underwhelmed by my brownie if I’m honest. I was expecting a bit more of an orange tang but could barely taste anything. Nevertheless, it was an okay little brownie for what it was. One thing I would also like to note is that we wanted to sit down to eat and drink, they did have a table outside of the bakery but were unable to offer a high chair for my child. So I do think that the bakery should definitely think about getting one of those for future customers. It made eating and drinking quite difficult. I’d go back again to try something else and still say it’s worth anyone else coming and trying it out for themselves.

Good service but unfortunately the salted caramel brownie tastes off… the chocolate orange one was okay. But we genuinely couldn’t eat the other one, it tasted like gone off milk😩😩

Excellent cafe with wide menu choice. Food and coffee was excellent quality. The venue is a bit ‘industrial’ so was quite cool inside due to it being a cold morning. Food wasn’t served on hot plates so subsequently went cold very quickly.

I started with an oat flat white before moving on to their sweet French toast special which came with roast apple, cinnamon sourdough, mascarpone and rosemary caramel. Alongside breakfast I asked for a split shot, which is not on the menu but the team were happy to accommodate. A split shot is served as two drinks, a single espresso and a cortado, so you can taste the coffee in its pure form and then see how it balances with milk. The coffee was good. Depot uses Assembly, which is always a reliable choice with strong consistency and good flavour on the lighter side of roasting. The espresso was rich bodied with a clean profile and sweet notes of dark chocolate, toffee and nuts. It was an ideal flavour profile for a split shot due to its versatility on the palate. The French toast was enjoyable and I finished it all. The cinnamon sourdough came in a crumb form that was very crunchy, something I would choose to leave off next time as I did not know how it would be presented. The apples were nicely roasted and kept their natural sweetness. The mascarpone had more of the texture of slightly over whipped cream, almost split, but still edible. The rosemary caramel was delicious, though I found the rosemary flavour quite light. I also purchased a focaccia and a chocolate brownie to take away. The brownie, while a little buttery underneath, was absolutely delicious with a rich unctuous texture. The focaccia I kept aside to use for my lunch the following day. Coffee I would rate as 8 out of 10, food eaten in at 7 out of 10, and food taken away at 9 out of 10. Depot has an impressive array of cakes and bakes which I will be returning to try. I would definitely recommend visiting Depot if you are in the Kelham Island or Neepsend area.

Disappointing execution despite a promising origin I tried their cold brew and found it underwhelming. While it featured coffee from Assembly—known for its quality—The excessive ice significantly diluted the flavour, leaving the coffee flat and uninspiring.

Amazing breakfast, everything cooked to perfection! They also have delicious sourdough. This time wild garlic and feta❤️

My favorite place to go now, they've got the Park, Cafe which has inside and out side dining!! Then after you finished take a walk through Walled Garden if you love the great outdoors, and all its beauty make that visit♥️

I’ve been to the depot a few times when visiting Sheffield and it’s one of the best, ever. Food, service and vibe is a solid 10. Yesterday I had a beetroot and dill croissant thing that has genuinely changed my life for the better. 🔥

A belter of a spot! Flat white was banging and the modern style of brunch with classic techniques hit the spot for me. Bakery on site with fresh bread, sandwiches, cakes, coffee beans and more to buy on site! Very chilled environment will be back!

I’ve wanted to visit for sometime and luckily finally got around to it today. I would recommend going early as they do sell out, a good sign that the products are delicious! I had a lemon cheesecake croissant, my friend opted for the same it looked that good, and we enjoyed those out in the courtyard where bench seating and tables are provided. The pastry was so light and flaky, the creamy lemon cheesecake filling absolutely scrumptious. Of course I was going to takeaway some treats too! The lemon and raspberry swirl was enjoyed by my daughter and the pain au chocolat I have to look forward to for brekkie tomorrow. Highly recommend visiting, the pastries are excellent. They also sell drinks, coffee, savoury pastries and fresh bread. No indoor seating area, shop itself is quite small. There is a communal toilet in the courtyard area, but if you like clean loos I would give this one a miss. On street car parking.

Lovely Rita’s have done it again!! Tofay at Sharrow Vale market I tried their new garlic croissant and oh my god it’s amazing! The flavours as always were perfect and the croissant was flakey and delicious. Every time I have something new from them I say it’s my favourite but honestly this croissant is next level. Please keep it on the menu!!! (Sorry for the terrible photo I took it after nearly eating the whole thing because it’s THAT delicious!)

On my search for the best bakery in Sheffield, I came across Lovely Rita’s Bakehouse on Google. I came at 1pm on Wednesday and the Lady was putting out fresh pastries. She said the pastries are made fresh daily, and everything is vegan. The sandwiches have wine vinegar, in case some of you don’t drink wine. I got the pistachio croissant, the sprinkle cookie and homemade raspberry lemonade. I’ve always wanted a pistachio croissant. The pastry was crispy on the outside with a drizzle of sweet icing on top, and soft on the inside. The pistachio cream was delicious! Made with real pistachios and not white chocolate coloured green. The sweetness of the pistachio cream was perfect and the croissant itself was hefty. Definitely worth your money, 10/10! The sprinkle cookie was okay. I expected the sprinkles to add extra sweetness to the cookie, but this was not the case. I loved the chewy texture, and the cookie was loaded with chocolate chunks. I would have liked the cookie to be more vanillary. Perhaps having the cookie warm would have enhanced the notes of chocolate and vanilla. The lemonade was fantastic! A little sour and sweet. The addition of ice made it really special, and the colour of the lemonade was beautiful. I got a student discount during my visit. I definitely recommend you try Lovely Rita’s Bakehouse!

omg, where to even start. Just loved this place, everything is so banging. Tried their vanilla & raspberry danish and coconut & mango croissant, can’t recommend enough. All vegan, but i can bet you can’t tell any difference. Girlies, it’s such a cute spot all pink, please go for it 🤍 plus the staffs are so kind and lovely.

This place truly is a hidden gem! Tucked away in the stag works is some of the best vegan baked goods I have had. I got the Tofu Bahn Mi sandwich and the famous pistachio pain au choc and both were incredible! Can't fault them! The staff were really friendly and the space if fatastic. There is minimal inside seating due to the space being fairly small but plenty of outside seating when the weather is good! Definitely worth the visit vegan or not!

I love Lovely Rita's. It's well overdue that I leave a review now as over the time I've been visiting I've tried every manner of baked goods made by the team - be it cookies or croissants, danishes sweet or savoury, hot cross buns or cinnamon swirls everything has been phenomenal. The team are always outwardly friendly, smiley & helpful. Undoubtedly a staple of the Sheffield vegan scene, 10 out of 10 across the board no notes Photo attached is a birthday cake croissant from their recent celebrations!

Best vegan bakery in Sheffield! Super lovely staff, especially Aidan, they were out of the blueberry sauce for the matcha so he gave us an extra raspberry danish on the house! Deffo recommend :)

Very spacios cafe to chill and study. Very kind staff. The coffee was not bad and the Basque cheesecake- absolutely delicious! Lots of pastries on the menu to try on my next visit. They also have a very kind 'coffee & cinnamon bun for £3.5' offer and it seems to be very popular!

Went there for an early Saturday breakfast (bonus points for being open from 8am), and it was very good - warm ham & croissants did hit the spot 👌,with delicious coffee and salted caramel cruffin to round things off. Highly recommended place if you're ever in Sheffield.

Fantastic service, nice coffee but average pain au chocolat. It was my first time visiting this coffee shop and it’s been on my list for a long time. This coffee shop is located in the Broomhill area of Sheffield, near the Morrison’s supermarket. It opens from 8am-6pm usually. The cafe is pretty small overall and with COVID measures in place there was arguably less seating available which makes complete sense. The staff that served me was very friendly and seemed to love his job, I’m thinking he was the manager? He took care of my order and sat me and friends down at a table. I ordered the pain au chocolat and the salted caramel brownie with an iced mocha. They offer student discount, my total came to £8.90. The brownie was tasty and soft, the pain au chocolat wasn’t as tasty and was more on the tougher side to munch on and the iced mocha tasted great. Overall, fantastic service and good coffee but the pain au chocolat just didn’t taste good on the day I visited unfortunately! However, I’d still recommend this café for a nice coffee and chill.

The coffee and pastries are good. But no WiFi. It can get busy but there is always a seat available. Service can be hit and miss. For example, forgetting parts of your order. The lack of customer WiFi is a significantly detracts from the appeal of Cawa. Please sort this out!

I love love love the friendliness of the staff and the beautiful building inside. The drink selection could be wider, but I'm a picky eater, so all in all nice quality stuff and worth visiting.

The knives for cutting through the croissants are terrible and didn't cut. Ended up ripping the croissants and making a proper mess haha. Better knives and I'd have given 5 stars

The sandwich with sourdough are the best that I have! Cawa has an incredible range of handmade sourdoughs. I really love Capresse and focaccia. I'll improvement the coffee presentation and it's size. PD: We went in Covid situation, so the presentation was with disposable things.

It's a very bright café. It has comfy sofas and pink everywhere . The staff are friendly and I just had the caramel latte for now. As you can see, I was on lucky table 13 . Clientele at the moment is mainly older people, and mainly women. Does that have to do with the pink? It is centrally located and very easy to get to.

Beautiful afternoon tea with homemade cakes sandwiches and treats,served in a lovely cafe with great atmosphere,would definitely recommend. Also been in for Lunch with my teenage girls food again was lovely,with lots of choice, didn't have to wait long once we had ordered,will be returning.

First time visiting here, food was really nice I was surprised with how many options there were! The cakes looked gorgeous! We had a panini and toastie which were lovely. Staff were friendly. A great place for a catch-up! I have dropped a star as my cup was dirty and the highchair was also dirty and the table part of it was broken also the toilet absolutely stunk (not sure if it was drains or previous person - I know nothing can be done if it was a person) but would be good to get an automatic air Freshener in there. I am glad I went after eating and not before.

I love that place, atmosphere is always nice, ladies working there are so kind that coming back there is a pleasure. Food is very tasty, drinks are awesome and just all of it it's so good! Highly recommended if you want to have good time and eat something that you will remember long time😊

The best sourdough in Leek and its surrounds. I got the country sourdough - flavourful & a good colour on the crust. Told the friendly young man the loaf was all I’d be getting & paid up, only to stop dead at the alluring sight of the raspberry donuts. He cheerfully rang up the addition, but the donut disappeared too quickly down my hatch & I failed to get a picture😋 Outstanding & I’ll definitely be returning🌟

I did a sourdough baking course here and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The tuition was excellent and the bread we baked (and they baked) was delicious. Garry and Matt are both passionate teachers who clearly know their craft exceptionally well and want to share their knowledge with others. There’s even a chance to ask questions afterwards, they really do care about helping you on your baking journey!

I attended a sourdough course here, just above the bakery. What an amazing and useful interactive day! Great guys tutoring the course - and, having been in other cookery courses before, far superior in their attention when compared to any other course I’ve ever experienced. And the food at their café next door, at lunchtime, was awesome.

I recently attended a Bread Making Course at Live Love Loaf and what a fabulous day it turned out to be. Garry & Matt are fabulous teachers and so passionate about helping students like me to discover just how easy bread making can be, if you follow the right process. Nothing like you might expect having watched Mr Hollywood et al on the TV!. I can't wait to get going now all of my supplies have arrived and with my course notes in hand I am hoping for success. :-) Far Far superior to a more expensive bread course I attended in August.

Absolutely fantastic bread and baked goods at this little gem! The sourdough is my absolute favourite. The croissants are to die for. If you get there early, grab a donut and you will not be sad you did. Also, I’m not a big fan of sausage rolls but the ones they make here are the best I’ve ever had. Best bakery in Leek. By far.

Best donut in town for me! My friend introduced me to this place and I’ve come back many times ever since. They have different flavor donut everyday but none of them are fail.

A great little place! Delicious donuts and coffee. Service was even better, barister gave my little boy warm milk in his bottle and wouldn’t charge. They were so kind and hospitable too. Drove out an hour to visit and this was absolutely worth it for yummy treats and friendly service. 🥰

I mean it's a killer donut, what can you say. Live performance antics in the window next door. Super grammable treats. And diligent groupies lined up outside to oblige. I can't hate on it, the product is incredible but the product of the product is quite annoying. Expect to queue.

We stumbled across this place whilst out mooching today, we had coffee and a tiramisu doughnut. When Paul Hollywood tastes a Bake-off bake, muses over it for hardly a second, has a moment where he realises in all his years tasting everything that’s ever been made and he’s never had anything so good an the involuntarily holds his hand out for a solid shake without words. That’s what he’d do if he tried this doughnut. It’s the best texture and tasting doughnut you’ll ever get. Bravo Eve Kitchen and bakery. That will live long in the memory👏🏼

My favourite tea room, the service is always 5*, the food and cleanliness too. The quiche is gorgeous, homemade and always fresh! My children love the cakes too! Always a great selection!

A lovely tea room. Serving great food and beverage. The tea is served in a fantastic collection of China teapots and cups and saucers with quirky milk jugs, salt and pepper pots. All ads character to how a tea room should be. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. Set just off the market Square it's the Idea spot to recharge yourself.

Absolutely top notch service - couldn’t do enough for us. Even adjusted tables that were reserved for later in the day so we didn’t have to rush or swap tables. Food was delicious and nicest coffee I’ve had in a while.

If this bakery was in London it would be full of hipsters, the sheer variety and quality for a local bakery is staggering, every Saturday there are lines out the door, and each week there is a different selection of freshly baked products . First rate!

I bought 2 tuna and mayonnaise rolls, well I have just come back from LA, California,, and when you taste food out there you will find out we really don’t have a clue about food!!! I spend a lot of time out there as my Fiancé is from LA. What ever food you go for whether or not it’s just a light bite or a actual meal it’s QUALITY tasty and just too good. Even the the little cafes out there prepare and make your sandwiches with perfection and quality. HOWEVER....first time I had to go into a sandwich shop over here was this little place as I’m working in the area or near by! I thought it’s small and they will concentrate on making your food properly as I was use to high quality back home as I call it...(LA) as this is the pinakel if what’s left in this run down conservative ruined country (I can’t wait to leave!!!) so any way I was totally wrong about the shop this Olaf lady served me was not friendly didn’t smile looked as if she was about to cry. Anyway she tells me we only have white rolls left I said that’s ok. (It’s also a bread shop!!) so this bread roll I ordered was hard un fresh and just because it’s covered in flower it don’t mean it’s fresh!!! She grabbed it from display out the window!!!! Sun had been on it all morning a djit was dry. The tuna she slapped on it anyhow was hardly enough to cover half the roll let alone a full one! It was cheap horrible tasteless tuna with very very little cheap tasting mayonnaise!!! Unbelievable!!!! After making the mistake of biting into it I found myself chewing a clump of Long grey hair!!!!! DISGUSTING!!! It made me sick!!! I threw them away. And went back to work hungry!!! I pulled out long grey hair that was wrapped around my tongue and throat!!!! I was hawking this up as it was choking me!!! I felt like a cat chucking up a furball!!! Just avoid eating from this place if you want to stay healthy they have no food and hygiene certificates on display I presume they don’t have any!!! And bushy grey fly away hair from the lady that served me she should be wearing gloves or at least a hair net!!! Made me sick just AVOID it you will see what I’m talking about!!!

I recently went to celebrate my birthday week and decided to have a strawberry matcha bubble tea but they didn’t do a large and only a regular. I requested a Large and paid extra and it tastes amazing! Bit more syrup but I have a sweet tooth so I really liked it and recommend getting a large. It’s worth the price.

This place is the absolute best bubble tea spot I've encountered in the area! Pure Taiwanese flavor that's sweet but not overwhelming, and it's so smooth going down. It's tear-jerkingly delicious, exactly like the bubble tea I had in Taiwan a few years back. The owner is from China and they nail it every time, making me crave it weekly!

First (but not last!) time visiting today. Highly recommend the caramel cafe latte and the banana cafe latte. Great flavours and great coffee. A hidden gem.

I really love this coffee shop! Brown sugar milk black tea is the drink I must order every time, the milk and tea fragrance is just right. The environment of this coffee shop is very nice, clean and warm, and the staff is very friendly. When I am confused about the menu, she is always very careful to help me introduce it. It is worth mentioning that there are many kinds of snacks here, each of which is very delicious, and it is a particularly good choice to come to this cafe with friends on weekends!

Amazing best boba in town! also cozy and cute sometimes cramped but its worth it for the boba, they have a lot of cool snacks and a verity of buldak noodles flavours which they can make for you to eat in also because I cannot find the interesting flavours elsewhere if you love boba definitely a spot to visit or if your looking for Asian snacks and to eat some popular noodles definitely recommend giving them a visit! ❤️

I was drawn into the shop by the Cinnamon swirls in the window, the smell inside the bakery was mouthwatering and the service was lovely. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend because the cinnamon swirls were as amazing as they looked. Buxton best kept secret ❤️

The food we bought was delicious, a savoury pasty with feta cheese and honey was amazing, apple and cinnamon crumble slice was great as well , white sourdough bloomer was also delicious, only gripe was that the young girl serving us was not very engaging to us , but all in all a great shop .

I ordered a special treat for my sisters birthday and honestly I am so gutted that I don't live close enough to come to this bakery again and again! The most unbelievable chocolate fudge delight we've ever eaten. I asked specifically for something decadent and not a traditional chocolate cake or birthday cake - Pig & Pepper absolutely smashed it and now I'm really sad the cake is all gone 😂 Thank you so much!

Having tried sourdough bread all around the UK, and been frequently conned by supermarkets with their fake sourdough, it was a delight to discover this bakery. By far the best sourdough I have ever tasted. This is undoubtedly the real McCoy! I just wish they opened earlier than 9am.

This place never fails to absolutely blow me away with their DELICIOUS creations! I LOVE the Bakewell blondie they make, the Cinnamon Cronut is so good and their sausage rolls are to die for. Just perfect every time, they're a special Thursday treat for me and my Dad 😊

Visited Pointsix for a second time with my daughter and partner. We ordered coffee and food. I asked for a pour over coffee and was told that it could be done, even though it was not on the menu. Everything was really good. My pour over and my partners latte were excellent. The food was very good. Flavourful and fresh. Will visit the third time.

Amazing spot for a Sunday morning breakfast! As vegetarians, we ordered the pesto mozzarella ciabatta sandwich – absolutely top-notch – and the New York ciabatta without pastrami, which was a solid 5/5. The coffee was just perfect. For dessert, we had the cherry blonde, which simply melted in the mouth. Highly recommended!

First visit this morning (after being a long time lurker on their IG page) and did not disappoint for an end of school holidays treat! Super friendly, welcoming (and patient!) staff allowing my children to take all the time they needed to make the very important decision of what treat to go for! We were also pointed to the offer when it came to paying (6 treats for a set price) so quickly added 1 more to our haul. Definitely got our monies worth - the bakes were all delicious! Will be in again next time we're in the area to try those delicious looking chocolates!

Absolutely love this place. We were recommended by a friend and have been about once a week since. They regularly rotate flavours and have a consistent quality bake selection. They keep to date with the latest trends (Dubai chocolate being a favourite of mine). Really friendly staff too which just creates a lovely atmosphere.

This place is the peak visitation whenever I go to see my sister in Sheffield. We are extremely found of the treats they create, and the staff are always welcoming and happy to help. Keep up the good work and wonderful chocolate goodies!

Absolutely the best chocolate shop i have found in Sheffield . There was a great choice of fresh baked treats. The quality of cocoa and ingredients used is excellent so the price i paid i was 💯happy with. The staff are friendly and very knowledgable about the products . I would highly recommend Sorrels Cocoa Bakery

This shop may genuinely be my favourite place on earth. The bakes are by far the best in Sheffield, not only are they delicious but the range of flavours is literally insane. In years to come (hopefully at least 50), my last wish on my deathbed will be to have one final cookie pie slice from Sorrel's; only then will I die happy.

It's the standard viral bakery experience, fairly mid tasting but looks really nice, if anything the chocolate was too much, at least the ones we selected (crunchie rocky road and cookie pie). Quite expensive too for Sheffield. There needed to be more binder to balance the intensity of the chocolate fillings, and a little less raising agent in the cookie. The little chocolates looked really nice but we didn't get any of those. We had hiked up a hillside to get here so perhaps expectations were higher than normal.

Absolutely love this bakery! Their pastries are delicious and it’s my favourite place to get a sourdough! It’s always a treat to come back here whenever I’m home from uni. They have a very wide range of pastries to cater to all tastes as well as a decent amount of vegan options, separate from the other pastries. My parents really enjoy the sandwiches they sell as well! And I always find it very sweet when they have their little treats for dogs!

Kringle Danish Bakery is a delightful provincial gem! This lovely bakery offers a wonderful variety of breads and pastries, each one more delicious than the last. The quality and freshness of their baked goods are truly impressive. Whether you're craving a flaky pastry or a hearty loaf of bread, Kringle has something to satisfy every palate. What a surprise! My mum is Danish so I’ve long adored Danish pastries. Even more excitingly (for me) were the rundstykker. Danish breakfast rolls are what really remind me of happy holidays in Denmark. I was so happy to see them and delighted that they tasted so good. I live down in London but will 100% be swinging by whenever I’ve even remotely near Sheffield.

Whenever I have guests who like cakes this is one of the places I try to take them to. Went today for the first time in a while and found that Wednesday is Danish pastry day. Nice pastries and coffee, helpful staff and happy guests!

Excellent pastries, donuts and bread at reasonable prices. My Swedish wife cried when she tasted the rye bread - “it tastes like home”. The free dog treats are a nice touch too!

I was visiting Sheffield to meet a friend and we wanted something light for lunch therefore, made our way here. We were not disappointed. The staff here are 10/10 they are so friendly and helpful. The food was to die for, we only wanted something small but I can tell you the sandwiches are anything but small! We made our own and it was incredible. There wasn’t a long wait and when it arrived I was amazed. While eating, staff were always asking if everything was okay and it really was! I have never been here before but I definitely will be back thank you. We asked to take the rest of the sandwich home as it was so filling and they happily provided us a box. Definitely worth the money!

The hype is real and so deserved. Transports you to Italy with brilliant menu options, the amazing staff and interior itself. Grabbed a pistachio maritozzo and just wow. The pistachio latte is another one that you simply can’t pass up. I will be back countless times; that is a guarantee.

Cannot fault our trip to Cafe Tucci. The food was so fresh and the portion sizes were very generous. The service was also amazing - such friendly staff from the moment we walked in who made us feel so welcome!! Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning. Thank you!!

Visited for a late lunch after discovering this gem on TikTok – and it did not disappoint! An absolutely incredible little spot with delicious food, huge portion sizes, a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, and genuinely warm, welcoming staff. Special shoutout to the owner, who greeted us so kindly and took the time to talk us through the menu with real passion and enthusiasm – it really added to the whole experience. We’ll definitely be back soon, and can’t wait to check out their Ecclesall Road branch too!

My son took me here after he already had visited a couple of times. Very friendly, fresh, delicious food. Had an amazing panini! Quite small inside, but accommodating. Definitely recommend.

A great place to go for brunch. The service is always very friendly. Coffee is excellent. They have a great range of Italian made cakes. Their sandwiches are all freshly made with excellent quality i gradient ts which they import direct from Italy twice a week. I've never tested burrata so creamy. Prices are very reasonable. All in all my favourite coffee shop in Sheffield.

Decked out like a cottage tea room inside, eclectic tables and chairs. Interesting menu; ranging from Xmas fest to pie & chips. Lovely, cheerful ladies behind the counter made it like having breakfast at home with Auntie Jayne and cousin Susan. Good wholesome food and value for money.

Called in at 13:30 for a ham salad for dinner although it was very busy at that time I didn't have to wait long at all the lady on the till did a super job and had everything sorted, makes a change to go somewhere where they know what they are doing 👍

Was super excited to try the shawarma here and ended up disappointed beyond measure. The chicken was dry and lacking in flavour; the perfectly toasted saj bread could not make for up this. The accompanying pickled vegetables were also overpowering and unfortunately I cannot say I enjoyed the food.

This is baklava lover’s paradise! Lots of authentic varieties of all sorts. The staffs were very friendly and helpful, especially since we were overwhelmed by the variety and took awhile to make choices. Used to be a great restaurant, but it has gone downhill. Yesterday, I made the trip from Wakefield just to get their shawarma, but was really disappointed. They wrapped it in old, dry bread, which completely ruined the taste and presentation. It’s a shame, because I used to enjoy this place — but after this, I won’t be coming back.

Lovely wood fired thin base koftah pizza, with a Meat on Dough.. and amazing freshly made Kunafah. Great service and lovely food. Would definitely go back! I came back again and found that they’ve expanded their premises into next door. They’ve also expanded their menu to include even more great dishes. We decided to have lunch/brekkie here and tried a couple of of the new items we hadn’t tried before. Food was fantastic and service second to none. The gentleman serving us was super helpful and excellently explained what each of the new dishes were. I’d highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone.

We chose to visit Crumb Bakery for a breakfast pastry treat, and were not disappointed. Fortunately we arrived early, as there was already a lineup waiting for the 8.30 opening. The choice of pastries was amazing. Everything looked delicious. It would have been nice if there was indoor seating, as the benches outside were wet…and I hope in the future that they expand to allow for this. Our choice of pastries was perfect…I hope to go back soon.

While visiting Sheffield, I decided to check out a little local bakery that had some decent reviews. It was a small, old place with a charming, lived-in feel, like it had been around forever, and you could tell right away that pastries were their thing. I went in with pretty low expectations, just hoping for a quick bite while I was in town. I ended up grabbing a few pastries to try, and honestly, I was blown away. Each one was fantastic—flaky, buttery, and full of flavour, like they really knew what they were doing. You could taste the care and skill that went into making them, and it felt like I’d stumbled on something special. The iced coffee, on the other hand, was a bit of a letdown—not terrible, just not up to the same high standard as the pastries. But hey, you can’t win them all. If anything, my only regret was not picking up more treats while I had the chance. This place is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and appreciate a quality pastry.

Honest review: I ordered - Berry Croffin - Matcha strawberry danish Berry Croffin- strawberry cream/yogurt (as light as yogurt!) in the croffin, not too sweet. Its real strawberry with some strawberry bits in it so its not artificial flavour. Could have done with reduced or no icing sugar. Still, highly recommend this and would like try out their blueberry croffin which they don’t have today! Matcha Strawberry Danish - the combination of matcha and strawberry is good. However definitely better without the huge white chocolate pieces which over sweeten the pastry and covered the taste of matcha.

Stopped here after a parkrun on Saturday morning and had a cronut and pain Suisse which were both delicious. We also took away a coffee and a huge ciabatta

1st attempt failed last Saturday due to long line and we decided to go next time. 2nd attempt yesterday Friday 10ish to try for breakfast. We should have asked if the cafe can reheat the pastry as I think it may soften the pastry and enhance the texture. Love the berry cheesecake inside the berry cruffin and the taste of coffee beans. Croissants taste or texture can be better for the prices. The cup sizes are smaller than other local cafes for the price. Good overall but to us it seems to be a bit overpriced and overrated than our expectations.

Look at these pastries! Have you ever seen such flaky goodness? Excellent service, excellent coffee and excellent croissants in all shapes and sizes! Definitely worth the small queue that forms outside.

Great place for coffee and cake! Really nice coffee, nice selection of very tasty cakes/pastries. Fresh bread, conserve, cheeses and Sheffield honey amongst other lovely products are available to buy too! The staff are nice and friendly and it's child friendly, with books and toys for the little ones. One of my favourite places for a coffee!

Only giving 3 *** as the lady at the counter was lovely and welcoming, othervise a very disappointing cafe visit and possibly the worst latte and almond croissant I've ever sampled. My coffee was very average and almond croissants had a scone-like chewy texture and tasted bland. Don't think I will visit again.

I do like this cafe, I only go in for coffee and a cake occasionally, however the floor and the areas around the windows are very dirty and don't look like they've been cleaned in ages. Real shame!!

The people were smiling & friendly The food was good & I like the sweet 😋 There are many vegetarian options available for you It's children friendly as there's a collection of kids books.. Not sure if there's a free WiFi available because I didn't notice any sign indicating that.. Possibly the next time I'll ask to make the food warmer 😉 Many thanks for the lovely staff

Loved the look of the place however the almond croissant was salty and more of a scone texture, very disappointing, the coffee also wasn't great, shame as love to support local coffee shops.

Amazing coffee. Latte and Mocha was lovely. We had Potato and Leek cake and bacon sandwich was really tasty. We bought some freshly baked bread as well. Will be returning, parking was a bit of a faf because the street can be quite busy.

We went on a busy Saturday morning but they found us a table. The best cheese scone I have ever eaten! Lovely staff, great atmosphere. Rest of the food looks amazing. Hope to return.

Incredible bakery! We went for lunch and they had some really interesting sandwich options on and plenty different sweet treats! Really delicious food and at a really reasonable price for 2023! Will be going bake to try more of their offerings, they also have a small produce shop with some nice bits and fresh fruit and veg. Do pop in if you are in the area, I would also say it is worth the 20 minute walk from the centre!

Love this place so much!! Staff are incredibly friendly and the vibes are so nice and laid back. Coffee was really good and all our food (tonco muffin, mini rosti, and beans on toast) surpassed my expectations and accommodated for all our dietary requirements. The little shop is such a nice touch and we also bought 3 sourdough loaves. Wish they had a few more vegan bakes but I’m just being greedy, everything about this place is 5 stars!!!

Busy local bakery/ cafe/ fresh produce shop. Nice buns, good coffee, tasty and 'never boring' bread. I enjoy stopping by, be it for breakfast, quick coffee with fancy biscuit or delicios lunch (sandwiches or soup with crusty bread). They also make great pizza dough (you will find it in the fridge) that you can quickly turn into a 'homemade' pizza in you kitchen :)

Popped in while visiting the garden centre and very impressed. Good selection of produce, meats, and general products. The deli counter is well stocked too. Bought minted lamb which were amazing. Was a pleasure to chat with the butcher, very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices for a few things were more than a supermarket as you'd expect but a lot of items weren't and definitely of better quality so I will be going back.

Amazing farm shop with an array of products to buy, bread, raw milk, meat,cheese,cakes,fresh veg and lots more. A little pricy but the quality was top class. Well worth a visit, plenty of car parking, and with the garden centre next door leave plenty of time for a visit. Cafe on site, which was very busy the day we visited

Farm shop, toilets, cafe, art gallery and garden centre with clothing dept, so much to see, do and buy. I've passed the signs many times but chose to visit on this occasion due to time availability. We spent fifty pounds on food, beer and other goodies from the farm shop, so much to choose from. Staff were very welcoming, very knowledgeable about their products which instills confidence in spending money. We've visited other farm shops in the past but we'll be going back to this one again and again.

I pride myself on supporting local businesses by shopping local. But unfortunately Luke Evan’s have changed the majority of there recipes to include Ultra Processed seed oils, Rapeseed/Canola oil and Palm oil. Increasing profits but sadly decreasing quality and taste. Not to mention the adverse effects of consumers health. Because of this we’ve had to find an alternative bakery….. hopefully Luke Evan’s move back to traditional recipes in the future

Myself and my partner go here frequently and upon calling in today he received appalling service. We only wanted two cheese salad cobs making up with onion and mayonnaise to be told point blank (no) there are already some made up but they didn't have onion or mayonnaise on.Its a cob shop that is your job! Lazy staff member and customer service non existent if wasn't hungry wouldn't have bothered.

Tried popping in here on way to work for a sandwich. Was met with several unhappy faces like the staff didn't want to be there. A chap came out the back looking like he needed a good wash and another chap out the side entrance vaping. I decided not to bother and not sure why this place gets good reviews. There are much better sandwich shops to go too in the area.

Lovely hot roast beef but was very dry, didn't get butter or gravy which was at the side of the beef. The lady served us was very miserable and looked like she didn't want to be there, Very poor service.

I went to best boys bagel. The place is very interesting, a lot of eye catching stuff. I got the lux bagel with hot sauce it’s a 10/10 would go back to get again. The smoked salmon very fresh and tasteful (in my opinion a little salty tho). Overall would recommend

I can't believe I am from Rugeley and have never been here before. Wonderful and charming cafe nestled in the middle of nowhere near Abbots Bromley. There is a butcher's, hairdressers, cafe, watercolour paint shop, a pie shop and more. It looks like they host a few different events, pizza night and watercolour workshops. I didn't eat, but they had a fantastic range of cakes all homemade by the farmer, which looked incredible! (I can't eat dairy, so I wasn't able to taste, but they looked amazing!!). The coffee, though, was a 10/10. Delicious!! I would highly recommend. Fantastic vibe in the country and dog friendly :)

Very nice place for dog walkers, walkers, and cyclists. Nice selection of small shops in the courtyard, plenty seating available, gardens round the back and also carpark.

We visited cobwebs as it was recommended to us when visiting Abbots Bromley. The person serving was cold, unwelcoming and gave off really unfriendly vibes. I asked a couple questions and was met with short answers. I picked a few cakes and would have picked more if she was nicer. I felt so uncomfortable. The cake was delicious so it's a real shame this girl was so cold. With a good attitude and friendly banter, this would have been a beautiful spot.

We made a detour here after a morning walk at Blithfield. I'd promised my wife a mid-morning slice of cake and a coffee (I know how to show a girl a good-time 🙂). Other reviews have described the outdoor seating as "quirky" but technically we were seated in a through route to the car-park but it was quite pleasant. Cobwebs was a disappointment for two reasons. Firstly there was virtually no attempt at rapport building from the person who served us (I assumed she was the owner). She got on with her batista duties and barely said a word, a job that she was obviously proficient at. It was a glorious summer day and we were the only people ordering at the time, but no small-talk to speak of. Secondly the cakes were both dry. I had a gluten free option, which in other cafes is usually super-moist but this was dry. My wife had a slice of lemon drizzle cake which had not been cut into up to that point - this was also very dry. £14.00 for two slices of cake and two decaf lattes is not a lot but it felt like too much. It's dog-friendly at Cobwebs but not particularly friendly in our experience.

I called because they had burritos on the menu, unfortunately they only had chicken tikka naan which were ok. They were served some a handful of crisps, some relish and some green salad without dressing, all a bit underwhelming. I had to move out of the small room I was in as it smelt like a urinal.

Used to come all the time for their pizza nights on Fridays. Visited in the day and for double charged for 4 cakes. Paid £30 for 4 slices of cake.. visited again in the day Sunday and the skinny blonde lady around late 20s early 30s was nothing but rude to me and my partner. Ended up leaving and don’t want to visit again. It’s a shame because the guy that owns it I think is nothing but lovely and chatty and everything you’d want to see when you visit somewhere. Never got a refund on my cakes either no receipt was given to me either and they didn’t check what i ordered ( I didn’t know the price of the cake until my friend told me who also visits the place) thought it was very expensive.. it’s a shame. Pretty sure the blonde lady was the same one who charged me double before.

Really great bread and pastries made authenticity without all the additives in mass produced products. I particularly love the rye and sunflower seed loaf. Can't recommend highly enough.

Nice foccacia. A loaf of sourdough is £7 - it looked overdone, so didn't buy one. The person who served us had no gloves but was touching their phone, hair and glasses then handling and tapping the loaves which was very off putting and left us feeling doubtful about the overall hygiene of the place.

Small bakery making a delicious selection of cakes and pastries. Our particular favourites are the focaccia, potato bread, almond croissant and cardamon bins! They now have a coffee machine too, so you can get a takeaway coffee. The coffees are excellent.

Ying Bakery in Sheffield is an absolute gem! I had the hot stewed beef brisket soup noodles, stir-fried beef ho fun, and salt & pepper squid, and every dish was incredibly delicious with generous portions. The flavors were spot-on and brought back memories of authentic Hong Kong cuisine, which I’ve missed so much since traveling there with my parents 🥹. The quality, taste, and authenticity of the dishes make it worth every penny. If you're craving real Hong Kong-style food, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

The food was the best I have had and incredibly yummy, very close to the taste of the dishes I have eaten in Macau. I also got some bakery items, but I didn't take an image—they were too yummy to wait and take a picture 😅😂. The portion sizes are very, very good, ensuring you get great value for your money. The place is clean, adding to the overall positive experience. The lovely lady who owns the bakery is friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Stumbled across this whilst looking for some lunch on a busy Sunday afternoon, and so glad we did! Some of the best beef ho fun, I have ever had!! A huge plate full and so much tender, juicy and delicious beef with some of the best homemade flat noodles. You can really tell that everything is made with love as if you are stepping into their family home. It shows in both the food and the welcoming and loving atmosphere/service. Salt and pepper chicken is a great side dish to share (or keep to yourself)

Like my 2 local Birds' this one is just as good and service to match. Clean shop and polite staff. The item I wanted was not in stock (tomato sausage) please have more in each store and SELL SINGULARLY rather than in packs.

Have to say the pork pie. Amazing. Pork pies in any bakery smashes the quality they try to palm off to you in supermarkets. Unlike other bakeries though this was full of meat, not too much jelly and the pastry was a lovely treat in it self and perfectly cooked. The pie had a nice clean feel and not wet with grease. Not juicy but it felt good after eating not guilty like you are clogging arteries to eat it! And I like pork pies and usually get when I can in other bakeries I have been to which are cheaper but more greasy there. And on that note, the price seemed expensive for the size but maybe the price is good for the quality. Definitely delicious. That said I also had a small apple pie that seemed disappointing. The apple filling tasted bland. Maybe stewed too much and lost flavour. Maybe they could have enhanced with a spice like cinnamon to make worthwhile. As £1.35 for a small apple pie is the price of 6 from Mr Kippling. If I pay more for quality, make it quality!

Cute bakery/cafe and I can see why it’s clearly in the top 50 in the UK for 2025. The caneles were exquisite and something I had finally got around to trying, with them usually all bought quickly. Some brilliant goods and a lovely couple running the place. Not the cheapest, but the quality and occasional treat mean there really is not much better! You don’t get ranked in the top 50 for no reason

I had a great experience at this bakery and cafe! I ordered a cappuccino and a flat white—both were well made with rich, smooth coffee flavor. The cinnamon roll was a highlight—fresh, soft, and perfectly spiced. The outdoor seating area was lovely and made for a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the food. Definitely a spot I’d return to for a cozy coffee break or casual catch-up.

I've been coming here since it opened. Let me say now it's great. Fantastic coffee, lovely staff, fresh smell of bread from bakery, and, some exception treats like the cinnamon roles. But, for today for the first time I tried the bacon sandwich. The humble British tradition. This was the best bacon sandwich I've ever had. A lightly toasted milk role, stacks of salty bacon, and, then finished with a tangy home made brown sauce. Perfect.

Great place. Food was so good (highly recommend the Butterbeans with sourdough dish!), really pretty selection of pastries, and lots of indoor and cute outdoor seating. Well located inside Little Kelham at Kelham Island. Very friendly service as well.

Quick coffee on a Saturday afternoon. Many of the bakes had already sold out, but what was left looked amazing. We were drawn towards the cookies, which contained hazelnut, dark chocolate and stem ginger. Total tastegasm - the most AMAZING cookie I've ever had. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Will definitely return again soon.

A lovely new addition to the area. They have a guest and house coffee on, plus a batch brew. The batch today was a pineapple anaerobic - the first I’ve seen in Sheffield! Lovely. Also very good bakery products, I tried the cinnamon roll and it was one of the best I’ve had.

Very convenient to get to if you live in Chellaston. Plenty of parking. Staff always friendly and helpful. Cakes taste amazing.

Come here occasionally for breakfast and always greeted with friendly staff. Very customer focused as I am asked if I have any allergies.

They have good fresh baked goods here, although all the good foods seem to go quickly which is annoying as i would to have to go there early in the morning just to get a good pasty. It also gets too crowded so i feel claustrophobic in that environment. Otherwise it has fresh goods and friendly staff. Glad its close to my house :)

My first time in this shop.. lady who served me was very nice, polite and friendly.. anyone who works in a shop during this crisis gets my appreciation.. to be happy and smiley too is a bonus.. also there was a very good selection of foods available AND I only had to queue for 5 minutes 🙂

We are so grateful and lucky that Anesha made our beautiful wedding cake. We could not have been more pleased with our cake. It was everything we had dreamed of and more. Anesha was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process, starting by remembering our love of peanut butter and chocolate cake months after our initial meeting and making a special taster version of it for us. Anesha helped us put the design together, was very knowledgeable about contemporary designs and what looks nice, as well as helping us match the colours of the cake and accessories to our wedding. Every sample of cake we tasted of Anesha’s was truly exceptional, moist and absolutely flavourful. It was hard picking just three flavours for our three-tier cake! We had so many compliments on the cake from our wedding guests and everyone we spoke to about the cake had made sure to have at least one slice of each tier! We also had a few vegan guests who Anesha also catered for by way of delicious vegan cupcakes, which were beautifully boxed with a ribbon that matched our wedding theme. Anesha also made an amazing detailed personalised domed wedding cake topper (which featured our dog!) which was a wonderful personal touch. Throughout the entire process Anesha went out of her way to ensure that everything was perfect. She was wonderful to work with and kept in regular communication with us. We could not have asked for a more perfect cake or for such an incredible wedding cake specialist. We cannot recommend Anesha highly enough. She really made our wedding incredibly special and our whole experience with her could not have been better.

Anesha was an absolute delight to work with! Her attention to detail and professional integrity along with her warmth and genuine thoughtfulness for the Bride and Groom was refreshing. I was quite anxious to get the wedding cake right as it's an important part of the day but Anesha made it easy. Anesha is an excellent communicator and was able to take my ideas and requests and produce a Wedding cake that was exactly how we had pictured it. The cost of the wedding cake was very reasonable and I was pleasantly surprised, even more so now given the excellent quality of the cake. Anesha is a baker of a very high standard and we had many positive comments from guests about the cake. One layer was a carrot cake and my son, who is well traveled, stated it was 'The best carrot cake he had ever had!' The Bride and Groom also commented on it being 'amazing'! I would highly recommend Anesha to anyone who has an upcoming wedding. She is an amazing lady who produced an amazing wedding cake for my daughters' wedding, and I cannot thank her enough. I also think Anesha would do exceptionally well in competitions. I really could see her doing well on Bake Off or something similar!

Wonderful service, I would definitely recommend. Anesha was incredibly helpful and professional from start to finish. She took the time completely understand what we were looking for and the cakes were gorgeous, we had partially gluten free and you wouldn't even know. The finished cake tower looked absolutely stunning.

We visited just as they opened the door on Saturday. The smell as we came down the road was divine. The guys were so friendly and welcoming. They even let us use their loo as we were on a hiking day and desperate at this point. We bought blackberry custard brioche, cinnamon buns, cookies and bread. All fresh, all delicious. A real treat!

Just the best neighbourhood bakery! Absolutely delicious bread. Lots of choice, darker and lighter, sour doughs or - my favourite - the white tin loaf. Delicious and comforting food! Coffee is great and treats are unusually varied and delish - savoury and sweet - so worth making a trip over to Meersbrook. But make sure you don’t leave it too late as they definitely sell out by the end of the day! Best bit about this bakery is the social benches outside - if you can make time to sit and enjoy your coffee and pastry, you can feel part of something that is more than a bakery, it’s a community place.

A charming and friendly bakery in the heart of Meersbrook. Delicious and diverse array of savoury and sweet baked goods. Cannot recommend the sausage rolls and cookies enough. I recently had a fabulous pizza bake. Highly recommended!

I live locally to I Said Bread and we have been every weekend since it opened - it is that good. Everything is delicious, from the sweet treats to the savory snacks to the loaves. My personal favourite is the lemon drizzle cake (topped with lemon curd and cream), my husband loves the coffee buns. The staff are nothing but friendly and welcoming whenever we have been. Highly recommend going here, plus it feels great to support a small local business!

Gorgeous! Visiting Sheffield for the weekend and found the bakery on Google maps. Was intrigued by the shop name and visited this morning. The best Cinnamon bun ever and the rhubarb and lemon layer cake was devine. Already planning a visit on Sunday before we go home. Any chance you can relocate to West Yorkshire?

Great sour dough loaf and the coffee buns are amazing [we had a burnt cookie but they gave us two great cookies as replacement] (edit this time we got cookies a sour dough and some mushroom beschamel buns and everything was perfect and delicious)[this time we got got lemon drizzle, strawbs and custard bun and another coffee bun. All were bloody great (got great quiche and Tomato bechamel bun)

We had our wedding cake from Bakezilla’s for our wedding on the 20th May. We had one layer lemon and one toffee. Both were amazing and we were so thrilled. Bec recreated the cake for a picture and it was just perfect. Great friendly service and would highly recommend xx

I’d sampled one of Bazezilla’s cakes at a wedding 2 years ago, so I knew who I wanted to create my wedding cake and I wasn’t disappointed. Not only was the cake just as I envisioned, it was absolutely delicious!! And the only thing I ate during the evening 😂 Thank you so much Bakezilla!!

We had our wedding cake made by Becs for our wedding on 27th May 2023 and it was perfect. We had a three tier consisiting of victoria sponge, Toffee, and Red velvet, and they were all delicious. We froze some and ate the last of it yesterday, and it was still delicious after freezing. Would highly recommend xx

Bakezilla made this incredible cake for my son's first birthday, we discussed what I wanted and showed her images and she created this masterpiece! I can honestly say when I went to collect it I had a little tear in my eye because it looked so amazing! It was also the best cake I have ever eaten and all at a fair and reasonable price!!!! I honestly cant recommend her enough!!!

WOW!!!! THESE CAKES ARE AMAZING!!! We had our wedding cake from bakezilla, it was the best cake I have tasted. We had a 6 inch sticky toffee cake along with 60 cupcakes (half lemon and half chocolate orange). Absolutely brilliant 👏 definitely recommended.

Nice cafe near the scenic vicinity of the Sheffield City Hall. We had Cinnamon Bun, Banana bread and Creme Brulee Croissant (which has a surprise custard filling inside!) for afternoon tea! It didnt take long for us to reach the crumbs. The coffee and matcha were brilliant. Very pleasant and patient staff. Halal too!

I came in unsure of what the drink i wanted . luke was ever so helpful & reassuring. He asked me about my day and made my day better as we had a pleasant conversation. He made me the best salted caramel coffee i’ve had.

Was walking to 200 degrees and noticed this cafe so gave it a try ! I’m so glad we did. The most delicious locally baked almond croissant with an excellent coffee it h beans roasted by the cafe. A fabulous find and will return to try some of the yummy looking savoury croissants .

Been once so far and enjoyed it a lot. Nice atmosphere upstairs. Coffee was great and cruffin was yummy. Prices are fair imo.

This is my second time trying this place and I got Shawarma again. I also tried the Chicken one and it was great. I highly recommend them.

Lovely chicken croissant sandwich which was nice & warm washed down with a cold drink. Friendly quick service, store was nice and clean to dine in. Definitely recommend there's more to choose from.

Had croissants a few times (when you could get a meal deal for a fiver) when it was just Cawa and enjoyed it. With the rebrand though, although the croissants are good, they are both too expensive and there's not enough filling (I need something else to feel full for lunch). This makes it fall into the "treat" category rather a more regular lunch. I would much rather pay less for something more substantial elsewhere for everyday lunch, or pay £10 elsewhere for something for a sitdown lunch that fills me up. I have been twice and had the Doner and the Chicken Shawarma (£6.50 each) and I don't think I am going to go back. I think the novelty of the place will wear off quickly and unless there are better deals (like coffee included) or the prices come down, it's not a viable lunch option. I shouldn't be paying £6.50 and left hungry afterwards.

Really disappointed! I had booked a table at Bench La Cave a couple of weeks in advance for when I had family visiting Sheffield. Unfortunately on the day of the booking, I saw via their Instagram that they were closed that day for a private event. We had no communication re our booking being cancelled, and they didn't respond via email/Insta (there's no phone number). I still haven't heard anything back which is a real shame in terms of customer service. I could understand an honest mistake but not taking the time to respond at all is poor. We love the Bench restaurant in Nether Edge though!

Delicious and interesting small plates, and fantastic wine selection. Friendly and attentive service in a really intimate venue.

Lovely wine bar, decent cafe. The pastires and sandwiches are increadibly tasty, I'd really recomend the custard tarts. Although the sandwiches could do with being slightly thinner bread as it is a bit difficult to get your mouth around. The coffee is really good but, heads up, they only do filter coffee although they do give free refills! The wine bar is where it shines lovely staff with brilliant knowledge, good music and atmosphere, it's just a pity it can't fit more people inside. You also get 10% discount at The Pearl next door for later cocktails if you take your receipt.
