I always go here whenever I visit LaHave. The coffee never disappoints, and I love the old lady atmosphere 💅 however. First, the butter tarts I tried were really hard and felt old (I might be wrong ¿), and second, I would love to spend more time inside, but the main sitting area has little to no air circulation and the air smells moldy… I think it would be nice to do at least some sort of renovation and/or a deep clean, because headaches are no fun ☝️😔

We stopped by this bakery and tried a few things - I had a coffee, pizza, and a hand pie, which were all okay. My partner got a breakfast sandwich that was decent as well. They did have a nice variety of squares, although I didn’t try one, and the little local shopping section was fun to browse. We sat outside to eat and the view was lovely. I’d heard a lot of buzz about this place, and while it wasn’t bad, I honestly don’t understand what all the hype is about.

During our vacation in Canada, and especially in Nova Scotia, acquaintances advised us that we should not board the ferry without first visiting The Bakery. We quickly understood why. It is a bakery with a traditional, nostalgic atmosphere. It also has a terrace and, behind the shop, a beautiful old bookstore and a self-service grocery store. So, I am passing on the "order": do not board the ferry without visiting the Bakery. 😊😋

This local bakery cafe is absolutely amazing. It has that old general store vibe. The staff are friendly and the food is great. Fresh baked goods, fresh produce, bulk goods and a selection of frozen meats and meals. Well worth the drive.

LaHave Bakery is a gem! My favourites are the fancy grilled cheese and the mango chicken sandwich—both absolutely delicious and packed with flavour. The potato wedges with tomato aioli are dangerously good, and while I didn’t include a photo, their oat cake is hands down the best in the Maritimes. Consistently fresh, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. A 5/5 bakery experience every time!

Canada's Eastern seaboard is full of amazing jewels and gems. Add this Bakery is one of those amazing jewels. Good tea and good coffee combined with good food a great atmosphere amazing knickknacks and some wonderful sales people makes a stop here is well worth the time.

Have the ginger cake with lemon icing and zest - incredible 10/10. Always a lineup here, and it's obvious why. Delicious homemade baked goods, really pleasant places to sit inside and out, and a grocery, a craft shop and bookstore in the same building. Greek pizza was delicious, and the ginger cake was pure and simple and had perfect texture.

Excellent authentic French pastries in a very cozy atmosphere and very close to our hotel (Sutton Place)!

Very cute little cafe with few seating upstairs. The menu selection is small with pastries made fresh daily and different items on different days of the week. The croissant is very good and is layers upon layers of crispy flakiness. Much more dense than I've ever had elsewhere, where most of it is air. Would recommend.

This little place is great. Good cappuccino and the croissants super flaky and nice. Been a long time since I had a croissant that deserved the name. The canélé are awesome too.

Wonderful little find near the Convention Centre. Real French feel…great coffees and eats. The canelé came warmed and had a beautiful soft centre. Macaroons are well priced and made in the Parisian style - delicious. Croissant delicious. Good value..

Stumbled into this little place by accident but immediately fell in love. Very quaint space, beautiful & delicious desserts! Pain au chocolat was perfect - not too much and not too sweet. Croissant dough is buttery light and flaky! I did enjoy my London Fog but my husband said his coffee wasn't very good. I will absolutely return to try more sweets!

This is such a cute little cafe. I had a latte and mocha which were both really good. I also had a vanilla and chocolate caneles which were not that good, didn’t taste like it was made fresh. The barista was really nice and the seating area was colourful.

To be honest, one of my favorite places to go, location is very good in the heart of the city, the old building added value where I felt the history when I was there. The patisseries are unique, French and delicious. Even you can't find them anywhere. I like the girl work over there she is welcoming, smiley face and friendly (I thought she is the owner). Layout, I like the layout and decorations. Prices are ($$), but worth it.p Working hours, I found they close very early, sometime we like to have coffee after 5pm, specially the business in the heart of the city Conclusion, really you should visit, and test macarons, they are frech. Went for breakfast and the pastry was cold. The staffs seemed just busy that they didn’t make little effort of heating up a cold egg puff. Also had a cupcake which was dry and stale. Though I like their loaf, it is overpriced pastry and overrated place.

Visited their new location in Brewery Market recently. The decor was funky and relaxed and although the selection was small, the pastries were unbelievable! Service was friendly too. Looking forward to going again soon.

As I walked to work everyday, I slowly watched as this place became an empty husk of a venue to the brilliant bakery it is today. I've never had a dessert there I didn't like (even some that I was reluctant to try). The staff was always friendly. Their burger week special was an excellent out-of-the-box idea and was worth its price.

Went here for some breakfast food and coffee and found that everything was way overpriced. I didn't think the food was amazing - it was ok, but definitely not worth what they're charging. Also if you're average male height or above make sure to duck under the lighting fixture they have in the washroom.

Pleasant service. Amazing baked goods. Would recommend the donuts if you want to try something unique and amazing. They also sell travel mugs, ceramic coffee filters, and locally made tea and coffee. Can occasionally get crowded by popular demand. But that is no fault of the store, other than being so good.

While set in a dated decor, the old apothecary offers an amazing Cinnamon Bun. A bit undercooked for my taste but still very much decadent. Perfect to finish your week with your favorite cup of coffee

First saw this bakery on the Food network show; Baking Sisters (I think it's called). So while in Halifax, I had to check it out. The aroma of their bread is intoxicating! If it wasn't for us staying in a hotel (and doing no meals in room) I would have tried their breads. It was hard not to buy! We were too late for croissants or cinnamon buns. I'm betting they sell out fast. But the lemon tart we had was wonderful! Also, (not pictured) we tried a mini orange cake with mascarpone icing, which was also yummy. My next visit to Halifax, will include another stop here. And next time I'm coming for bread!

Friends and I popped in for dinner to check out the pizza oven deliciousness we've been hearing about. We found a table on the patio easily on a gorgeous summer evening and quickly ordered up three pizzas to share - the BBQ chicken, the pork one and the pepperoni one. My fav was the BBQ chicken but the other two were a close second. One of our group also ordered three oysters which she thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely a great dinner spot!

The lobster dinner was incredible. The mussels were huge AND delicious. The lobster had delicious flavour. The place was clean and, even though we came late in the season, the atmosphere was still great. The team there is also very down-to-earth and puts in all the energy to make the experience awesome. I didn’t have a lobster supper, but attended the DFA1979 show on July 31 and had a great time. Very cool venue with fantastic sound, DFA are a loud band and I’ve seen them before with a less than stellar mix, this show sounded crystal clear, security was quick to attend to a few folks who were getting pretty rowdy and pushy, nothing you don’t see at other rock shows, but good to know they were looking out for the folks who were there for the music. 10/10 no notes

It was my wife's birthday and she loves 🦞 and so I did a Google search and find this place. The reviews were good and the trip wasn't too long so I surprised her. The place lived up to the online ratings. Wonderful people, great atmosphere and 5/5 food experience. Reese (hope I got the spelling right) welcomed us in and we had a wonderful evening together eating lobster, having tea and cider. They have a kids meal part of the menu and even though it's small it will keep the kids busy while you Chow down. Will I be back? most definitely. At least once a year for my wife's birthday. May be the start of a tradition? And finally there was a lady there who had her 98th birthday and the whole building sang her a song. Was good to be a part of that experience! Pro tip : this place fills up fast during lobster season. Reserve your spot ahead of time.

What a great way to end the day after hiking Cape Split. It is their 89th year!!! Super friendly service, delicious salads, fresh mussels, those fluffy soft rolls, and of course the lobster, finishing with lemon cake and chocolate brownie. Glad we were able to enjoy the experience before they finish the season.

You should go for the live music at least ones Lots of great bands play on Saturday nights. All are welcome from the age of 19-99. The new addition they added outside is beautiful. Always a fun night.

Enjoy some lunch on the deck at the Shore Club, had pizza from there wood fired pizza oven. Had the barbecue chicken pizza and it was so yummy! Will be back again for sure.

I stopped by Two if By Sea cafe, and while it was a hip spot, I left feeling somewhat underwhelmed. The cafe itself is trendy, but seating is limited, so be prepared to grab-and-go. I ordered an iced matcha latte, but unfortunately, it didn't blow me away. The flavor was just average, and I've had better matcha lattes elsewhere. On the bright side, the croissants were a highlight! They're huge and flaky, and the almond croissant was perfect for me since it wasn't too sweet. However, I have to say that the plain croissant didn't impress me as much - I've had better ones from Costco (and you can't beat the value there!). The Nutella and raspberry danish were just okay - nothing special. Overall, I'd say Two if By Sea cafe is a solid choice if you're in the area, but it's not necessarily a destination worth seeking out.

A really nice cafe, got there just when they were bringing out their fresh batch of pastries and man they are huge. The provolone croissant was bigger than my hand and the chocolate croissant was also very large. Loved the outside seating and their food and ambience.

🛑 BEST CROISSANTS IN CANADA! 🛑 if you are visiting Halifax do yourself a favour and cross the bridge into Dartmouth and go try these croissants! Best you’ll ever had! Won’t regret the trip over! You’re going to want to go back to visit Halifax only for these croissants! Don’t forget to pair them with a Cafe Moca, they’re great as well! Hint, go early! By 1:00 pm or so, they could sold out!

We really enjoyed the coffee and the numerous varieties of pastries. We had the pain au chocolat and a everything croissant, and it was delicious. The vibe was also very nice, we sat upstairs with all the paper plates with art on them, we had a good time looking at the drawings! The americano is great, will go again!

Not really sure what the hype is about. The croissants are too dense, the flavor is good but croissants are supposed to be light and flaky. These were far from it. We have tried the prosciutto cheese one and almond croissant. Wouldn't purchase again but their coffee was good and people nice. Also, there is pizza place upstairs - definitely recommend it

You will not find better croissants. The problem is choosing which one. The pain au chocolat is deliciously and generously filled with milk chocolate. The Everything Bagel flavored croissant is amazing as well, filled with cream cheese. This time around I had the special, which was a pumpkin cheesecake croissant. A bit sweet, but oh so good. The seating isn't super comfortable, but if you can snag a table by the open window it's nice. Very busy spot.

Such a cool little spot. Coffee was fantastic, staff was so friendly. Hands down the best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had. Definitely adding to our fav world coffee list!

Ocean front Tent site! Incredible! Views were amazing. Caves were incredible Staff amazing Scenery was relaxing The sound of the waves and wind put you to sleep quickly! Low fee for day entry Facilities not that great, (bathroom and shower) But it got the job done and we are not picky

The views were amazing and the cabins were a decent price, even if it was a little run down. The floor was soft in spots and you could feel it bow with when stepping on it. Also found the general store was way over priced. $3.00 for a chocolate bar, $4 for a half a bag of ice. Overall it was a pleasant experience, but if we visited again, we would look for other accommodations.

Go to sleep to the sound of waves and have coffee with an amazing view of the ocean. It can't be beat. The sea cave trail is a fun, easy hike with photo opportunity after photo opportunity. Live music in the restaurant in the evenings. Cozy, rustic cottages. My husband and I are very grateful to have had the opportunity to visit this beautiful place.

The location of this campsite overlooking the ocean was fantastic. We were really tired and needed a place to stay so paid the $102.35 fee to stay there. We were even charged extra because we had our dog with us. We didn’t go see the caves (ovens) because they expected you to pay more fees for that as well. For the steep fee we expected more in the way of amenities. The buildings were run down and in poor repair. The floor around the only working toilet (for 75 campsites) was rotten and the toilet was barely bolted on. The showers were also in need of serious update and had no water pressure whatsoever. Out of the 35 campsites we stayed at in the last 35 days, this was the most expensive and in the poorest repair.

Really loved our visit to the Ovens. Came on a great day when the water was a bit wild from an off shore storm going past, and it made for some really beautiful waves. We did hit just prior to low tide so by the time we neared the end of our hike the water had calmed significantly. I think I will plan next time to come when the tide is mid to high. Definitely worth seeing.

Such a wonderful experience. Beautiful place - well maintained. The trail and the caves are awesome and worth the trip. Only issue we had in our group was the pool. It's beautiful and deep and clean but it is open for very limited hours (12-5) so with our young kids and contending with weather, it became this big glaring thing they were constantly asking when they could use. We ended up having to plan our days around pool hours and then ended up staying long after check out just so they could finally enjoy it in the sun.

We spent 2 weeks in Nova Scotia, and this was our fourth and final stop. And it was my absolute favorite! The campsites have such incredible views (we were in #504), and it was lovely watching sailboats and seals in the water while eating dinner. The caves are amazing, and exploring the rocky shore on the opposite side of the park was amazing. My daughter and I spent a couple hours jumping off little cliffs into the crystal clear water. Also, I had one of the top five meals of my life at their little restaurant while sitting on the deck with my dog and family. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

We had an amazing time eating lunch here after visiting the island. The food may be a bit pricey, but that's because you're getting some amazing quality!!! The seafood is amazing, highly recommend the chowder and getting the platter that has a little of everything on it (enough to feed 2). The Guinness cake was orgasmic. Service is also amazing, they're very accommodating! Can't recommend it enough!

Very pricey but tasty! We visited Captain Kat’s as it was top rated online. We knew going in that it was $40 for the lobster roll meal (yes ouch) but had to try it. The lobster roll itself was very good: yummy lobster, not too creamy and the roll was delicious toasted buttery goodness. One thing I did notice is that when it came it was piled high. But in actuality the lobster filling was sitting on top of the roll. So when you spread open the roll and push the filling in it to eat it like a proper sandwich it’s not a lot. But again very tasty. And OMG the fries were amazing! So is it an expensive meal? YES Was I content YES 😄

Met the most wonderful hostess, and other clientele and offered directions and local advice. Just stopped in for a quick drink and break after spending 4 hours riding. Very and welcoming! Highly recommend stopping in here as the food from where we seen looked delicious!!

Captain Kat’s is an experience that shouldn’t be missed if you’re passing through. Lots of local specialties (think lobster in cream sauce and then everything possible in a lobster cream sauce) served fresh. We got the crab cakes (in the aforementioned lobster sauce) and the double decker fish burger along with deep fried pickles. The mains were both a bit bland for my tastes, but very rich and filling, but the standout was the deep fried pickles. They are done in a chicken fried style and are absolutely in the top 3 deep fried pickles I’ve had. Next time I’m not sharing them (didn’t even take pictures I ate them so fast!)

The lobster cream fondue is to die for ! The "catch of the day" lobster is extremely over priced. Labeled as a "tourist favorite" on the menu. @ 95$ for a 1.5-2 lb lobster, is definitely a favorite for them to sell to tourists. Being the "lobster capital of Canada" we fell into the A-typical tourist trap. Gets busy, make a reservation in advance

We popped in 35 minutes before closing time and that was no problem. We tried the lobster roll and chowder which were great, although very expensive compared to other places we went to. The service was great, our server was very friendly, we even got to hold a lobster and get a picture with it!

Stopped here on a whim! BEST decision! It was a Sunday and they were open for lunch. A little concerned it wasnt packed a little before 1pm. No worries! Seated immediately, waited on quickly with a welcoming smile by a nice lady. Ordered pan fried haddock. HUGE, perfectly cooked! Super light and fresh. Hubby had fish cakes with lobster cream sauce. Both were outstanding. He even asked for a biscuit to soak up remaining lobster cream sauce :). The fries were perfectly crispy! Salad with dill dressing, spinach, was very fresh and large! Had grayed cheese, tomatoes, onions, raisins and nuts! The crowd arrived as we were leaving and we told several “y’all will NOT be disappointed!” Its not far off hwy 103 on hwy 3 and well worth the detour!!! Delicious fresh made sandwiches on their own bakery buns (we chose sourdough) - generous amount of fresh roasted white chicken meat and lovely roast beef with your choice of deli cheeses, with any fresh toppings (green or red pepper slices, onions, lettuce, tomato etc) - was delicious! Amazing old building and old deli style feel in the space - would be fun if we could see the bakery activity (which I believe is upstairs). Thank you!

First off the Sandwiches were so delicious 😋 So nice to have fresh ingredients. I had the chicken sandwich on sourdough bread, no sauces and all the available veggies and smoked Gouda, and my husband had the roast beef on sourdough with his choice of toppings and cheese. Sooo good and filling. But, even though the sandwiches were delicious I was so amazed about how outstanding the customer service was from start to finish. The service was top notch. Atmosphere and ambiance cannot be beaten. Will definitely be returning again and again. Definitely worth 1hour to 2 hour drive .

Another great opportunity to support local businesses and farms in Yarmouth! Superb customer service with knowledge about the food and health benefits of the food they prepare! Today I had the lamb sandwich on multi-grain bread with fresh romaine lettuce, green and red peppers, feta cheese and topped with taziki sauce! Not to forget the Baklava that was so good that I forgot to take a photo! They currently have a limited menu but with still so many salads and other options that it is hard to choose! I guess I'll have to go back again and satisfy my curiosity!

We are from Pictou County,and our kids are in karate so travel for tournaments.This shop was introduced to use 4 years ago by another parent,so every time we go to Yarmouth this is our go to location for lunch,excellent sandwiches and other baked goods and look forward to it as soon as we know we are heading this way.

Easily one of the best places to eat in Yarmouth. The food is delicious, fresh, and REAL food. Bread is baked fresh in house, and the soups and stews are to die for. You are literally always granted service with a smile and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is phenomenal. I recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious and filling meal!

Fresh ingredients, good location, clear entrance and exit following Covid protocols. We ordered a sandwich and muffin to share. The price was pretty steep coming to $20 plus tax and tips for just two items. I wish the muffin was warmed up for a few seconds in the microwave prior to being served, because both the sandwich and muffin was cold, which we weren’t used to for a breakfast meal.

I usually carry my own ceramic or glass tumbler because I care about the environment and my health. When I ordered, I said I wanted my bread to go, but my coffee and tea to stay. However, the same male staff member with tied dark-blond hair who both took my order and made the drinks had already poured my drinks into disposable paper cups. At first, I thought those drinks weren’t mine, but they turned out to be. When I asked for mugs, he transferred the drinks from the paper cups into them. By that time, the paper cups had already become waste, and my hot coffee and tea had already been sitting in those paper cups long enough for chemicals to leach out. I normally carry a ceramic or glass tumbler and request “to stay” to avoid disposable waste and exposure to harmful substances, so this situation was utterly absurd and frustrating. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy like latte art. I just wanted to start my morning pleasantly with good coffee, but this experience left me really disappointed. If you visit this café, I recommend getting service from the other male staff member, the one with short(he is always kind), dark hair or women, not the one with tied dark blond hair.

An amazing spot, make incredible by its PHENOMENAL food. Truly the BEST sourdough and BEST croissant I’ve ever had. The only downside is the irregular hours: it seems like they close early often, because I’ve shown up twice before during “regular” hours and the shop was closed. But this makes it even more exciting when you can get here because it’s that much more special. Recommend ten times over!

Nice place to have breakfast. We tried the almond croissant and the ham and cheese croissant. The almond croissant was a little overbaked. Other than that, everything else was good.

Oh LF, I love you so. Please come to Dartmouth. Fresh bread, good coffee, huge rotating selection of treats. You need a home in Dartmouth. This place is Loud, but I think you have to be cognizant that this is a working bakery. Please help us. They’re not usually open on Mondays and they usually take a week off around Christmas and summer, which is well deserved. I’ve never had the sandwiches, but looking at the display case for 10-12 bucks look unreal. Lots of marginalized people in the area, usually try buy something extra to give somebody on the way out. Kindness counts.

Nice little bakery cafe. The bakery seems very busy! We got a loaf of white bread, which was fresh and had great texture, but was missing something (maybe salt?). We also had coffees and treats while we were there. Excellent Americano and a very good croissant. Will go back to try more baked goods.

The cardamom iced latte was good but the blueberry tart was underwhelming & the vanilla custard wasn’t flaky it was soggy and the custard had an egg taste that we didn’t enjoy.

Easily one of the best bakeries in Atlantic Canada. Definitely top three, I haven't been everywhere so I can't rule out some dark horse from some random corner, but these guys are top notch. Croissant is good as you'll get in Paris, and I've been there and done that! Get up early and get down there for when they open at 7:30 and the smell of fresh baked baguettes and other deliciousness will transport you to heaven!

My husband and I eloped in Germany in the fall, so for our little wedding celebration with friends and family this past weekend my mom ordered a bunch of pretzels to give to everyone. They reminded us so much of our trip! So yummy and beautiful! We ordered cookies too and they were absolutely beautiful, everything was delicious ! Awesome customer service too, we would definitely order from them and will have to pop in for a pretzel! 🥨

Today is my friend’s birthday and I planned to get a pumpkin pie for her. Only it has to be from Gingerbread Haus. Six years ago, my first autumn in Canada, I randomly walked into Gingerbread Haus. Didn’t know what to pick, I chose to try the seasonal special, the pumpkin pie with whipped cream. It was amazing, so unforgettable. The next time I walked in the shop. Sorry, the pumpkin pie was SOLD OUT. Just like this, year after year, when it was in season, they sold out quickly; when it was not in season, no pumpkin pies. Maybe you can give it a try on Easter. I was told so. I tried. No Easter pumpkin pies. The bakeries were so good and business went so well that making pumpkin pies on Easter was not possible. Luckily I stayed all these years in the same neighborhood and still have friends living nearby. After another random but magic afternoon walk, I pulled open the shop door and found the pumpkin pies available again. Yes, this year we have the luck to enjoy another Gingerbread Haus pumpkin pie. Tastes like the best part of life.

Outstanding! I had been disappointed by several “bakeries” along the Cabot Trail. They left me wanting baked goods when we got back in Halifax. And the Gingerbread Haus delivered! What an amazing selection they had. After our first visit, we immediately returned for more. I had the almond ring on our walk through the Point Pleasant park and it held up the whole way. See the pics for prices and products. Service was pleasant. Staff behind the counter could describe each item in detail. The only downside was that they aren’t open until 9am. Well worth the wait. You must visit this bakery if you are in the area!

In last few years store became worse and worse... I did love that store, and I remember when you guys got open, and my family always was customers for cakes there, even few times we had coffee in, not to go. But last few times I got not fresh slice of cake, and not fresh full cake. With memories, that mistakes could happened and everyone deserve second chance, I start to visit not that often. But last time on Thursday July 10th I came to buy Rum bowls for a family gathering, first for so little desert price jump high from last time I bought it. and when I bought 5 of them, each cost $4.05, with tax I spend more than $23. and cashier did put them in small brown bag! when you selling desert for $4+ and its few of them, you serving it like piece of garbage or leftovers in brown bag. No, I'm not coming back. To sell old deserts, and after treat customers like a garbage after giving you another chance... this place not for me!

A simple bakery with delicious baked goods. Service was friendly, helpful and patient. Selection was excellent even when I came near the end of their day, and everything was amazing. Got Almond Wheels, Mozart's, Gingerbread People, Nougat Wheel, and Lemon Shortbread. All were fantastic! Will be back!

Lovely little bakery serving wonderful European bakes. The gingerbread was perfectly spiced with just the right balance of flavours and the texture was spot on. A great range of bakes at very reasonable prices.

I barely consume sweet goods, almost never, because my senses of taste and smell are too strong and sugar bothers me but when I first got to know of the Gingerbread Haus nearby I realized they are Erupoean-style professionals. By far different from what I've experienced in the North America. Their products are not saturated with sugar. The sour dough breads, the cream on the cakes and the ratio of the ingridients are phenomenal. I have promised myself not to buy any cakes unless I purchase them here. Their products are indeed pricy when compared to the mass production items in the chainstores but you enjoy and live longer :) They close soon, plan and pre-order so you won't have to choose the low quality sweets for your events.

Today I had fish and chips for the first time in about 8 years, and it was delicious. My husband, a happy gluten eater had it as well, and agreed it was some of the best fish and chips he's ever had, gluten free or not.

On the advice of a friend we stopped in here and we were not disappointed. The location is tiny and super busy, the staff are friendly and really helpful. As this is a gluten free spot they gave us tips on some of the products and reheating the items we were taking home. We were a bit late to try the cinnamon rolls (which was what brought us in)so we’ll be back for those. The pizza crust, cookies and danish we bought were great.

Always great service. Super polite. Food is A1! Amazing! You wouldn't know it was certified gluten free other than the signage and name of the place indicating it is.

A very cool concept for a cafe. Certainly highlights the importance for inclusiveness in such restricted diets. They have a large selection of baked goods to choose from which was really great to see. They were all helpfully labelled to indicate if they were dairy free or gluten free. I would recommend this cafe for anyone who has the dietary needs. My only gripe is that there is a lack of pricing on each item. Overall the staff were friendly and service was 👍

Today is my first time here and I'm super impressed! I've only been eating gluten free for a few weeks and this was an absolute treat! I got a chicken burger and onion rings. They were better than any fast food place I've been before finding out I'm celiac! I can't wait to come back and try more things!

As someone who has been gluten-free for years, I understand the feeling of going to a restaurant and searching for what you can eat instead of what you want to eat. Odell's is a safe space for the gluten-free community where you don't need to worry about cross-contamination. There bakery items are unique and worth the cost. Their restaurant items are fairly priced provide diverse menu options. The staff is excellent and is always willing to answer any questions and provide outstanding service. 10/10 recommend you visit!

I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes for a mini wedding celebration and they were such a hit! They are so cute and every flavour was delicious. I had accidentally entered the wrong date on my order but they whipped it together really quick for me and were so kind about the mistake, really great service. I would absolutely recommend! The crowd favourite was a feature, Banana cream pie, the best cupcake I’ve ever had ☺️.

Phenomenol cupcakes! I had ordered the salted caramel, oreo, and I believe a cinnamonish cupcake? They were so delicious! The salted caramel was my favourite (and I'm someone who's not the biggest fan of caramel). The frosting was so light and fluffy and the cupcake base was so moist. I need to come back again and grab more flavours to try!

Layers is the perfect place to get a sweet treat! Their cupcakes are perfectly created - fluffy, not too sweet and the perfect ratio of cake to frosting. They also always have new creative flavours to try! The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you’re going for a specific flavour, I recommend going early as they sell out quickly!

My long distance friends got a box of THE most delicious cupcakes sent to my place for my birthday last year. Ever since then I’ve been trying to get invited to a birthday party so I can share the joy of these delicious treats. Put in a phone order for delivery the same day, driver was running late but then I was surprised with an extra half dozen cupcakes!! Incredible service and incredible cupcakes!

We decided last minute to get a wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding. Layers was super helpful with deciding what to order and fulfilling our order perfectly we only a few weeks notice. We ended up ordering a small wedding cake and mini cupcakes for our guests which worked out perfect. I would definitely recommend doing mini cupcakes instead of the full size cupcakes as they are much more approachable especially after a large dinner. Layers doesn’t do custom wedding cakes but that wasn’t important to us so it worked out well.

We ordered a cake from here last minute for our elopement, and it was made for us within a few hours, with beautiful personalised details. The cake tasted delicious and lasted well despite travelling all the way up to Cape Breton! We also found the bakery to be very reasonably priced, and would highly recommend.

The prettiest cakes and very talented decorating. The cakes seem very light which I enjoy. Not a place to get something rich tasting. But the way they do their cakes is so gorgeous who cares what it tastes like?! I always go to this place for the most epically decored custom cakes.

Came in based on the high rating. Ordered the red velvet cheese cake. The cake was dry and stale including the cheese cake part itself. It had no flavour. For over $8 + tax, it was not worth it. There was no service to even comment on.

On July 1st, I urgently needed a birthday cake for a friend around 4–4:30 PM. After calling several bakeries with no luck—most didn’t have any ready-made cakes left at the end of the day—I reached out to Piece of Cake. To my surprise, someone kindly offered to try and make a cake within 30 minutes and asked for a bit of time to confirm with their delivery person. They followed up shortly after to confirm that delivery would be possible. The entire experience—from the prompt and clear text communication to the on-time delivery—was absolutely seamless. The cake itself was delicious and beautifully made. It truly saved the day, especially since I live in Calgary and couldn’t be there in person. I only take one star away as I used to brag about their quality for price. You used to get this great quality for cheaper than people were selling their cupcakes at all the markets all over HRM and even the moncton markets I frequent. Now their price hike has them at the same prices ( I realize prices go up but didn't expect the large leap as izzys bagels did it a few cents at a time for fairness to their customers). I will keep going for their flavors and icing being superior and the friendly lady usually at cash. If I could give it a 4.5 I would.

We went today for a dessert, had never been before. My daughter picked a cookie and she wasn’t able to eat it. She is 4, she eats anything with sugar on it. I tried it and it was terrible, pretty sure it is quite old and has been on display for a while. Very expensive for what they offer.

Lovely bakery and customer service, found the birthday cake ordered way too sweet, gave them a second chance and asked if the sweetness can be reduced a bit, but I was told they don't change recipes. The second cake, different flavor, was also overwhelmingly too sweet, masking any flavour cake might have. Have since found another bakery that have cakes with normal sugar levels and won't be back unfortunately

Love Susie’s. I’m a baker but when I’m in a time crunch it’s my go to. Everyone loves their cupcakes. The person that left a review complaining about too much sugar? Seriously….its literally called shortbreads which are made with butter and sugar. That’s like going to the liquor store and complaining they have too much alcohol!! Most ridiculous comment ever. This is a wonderful bakery.

I discovered Birdies Bread & Co. today by chance and I’m so glad I did! It’s such a beautiful shop. I bought a loaf of bread, a pain au chocolat, and an almond croissant, everything was absolutely delicious and clearly made with care. The service was excellent as well. I’m not sure if they also serve drinks or coffee, but I’ll definitely be going back to find out! :)

Celebrating our volunteer teams for a week, we looked for locally owned businesses to purchase treats from. Birdies was a recommendation from another business, and was such an excellent team to work with - had lots of great ideas, and they put together some great assorted boxes. The oatmeal cookies with orange buttercream are unbelievably delicious - a must try item if you ask me. I also purchased a loaf of sourdough bread and it was the best we've had in HRM. My boss was able to have some too as they don't use yeast in their sourdough. So so fresh and delicious. Will be back and highly recommend. I also love that they sell other items from local makers in the store. That's what community is all about!

Inside looks amazing. Clean and tidy. Staff were lovely. Pastries wasn't the best in the city. Cookie was good but not great. Chocolate croissant don't think their chocolate work well with the croissant. It just didn't tasted good. Country style bread was actually good. There's an after taste but I like it that way. So overall, a good place and decent prices.

What a beautiful little store! When I walked in I was blown away. It’s simply decorated with natural elements. They have a few comfortable tables to have your lunch or coffee and a sweet. But most importantly... their product is delicious! I grabbed a loaf of their ‘plain’ sourdough (maybe it’s called farmers? I can’t remember in the 20 minutes since I grabbed it!) The crust is perfectly crunchy and the inside is soft and moist. The Italian vegetable soup is flavourful and filling. It’s full of chunky pieces of Zucchini, beans, carrots, etc. It is very homemade (in a good way!) I’ll be back! The suggestion that I can offer to the delightful owners is to make sandwiches to showcase your amazing bread (even if it’s a daily selection like your soup).

Birdies is so great, all their baked good are amazing, it’s unfortunate that they are closed on Sunday’s and not open until 9 on other days, the only day we are able to go is Saturdays, and we live in the neighborhood! I hope they change their ours!

Great coffee, huge cafe au lait, tasty croissants, and unique cinnamon buns. The croissant sandwich was tasty but a little expensive at $6.95. The cinnamon bun dough felt similar to the croissant which I found very interesting. Friendly staff, and a very cozy, warm cafe.

My Great Dane and I stayed for a week. It was a comfortable and pleasurable experience. The staff were attentive and professional. My room had a view of the river and a kitchenette which was appreciated as there is no restaurant in the facility. I would recommend this Inn to anybody with or without humankind's best friend.

What a gem of a motel! Tastefully updated and decorated. A location that makes you want to relax and unwind on site while also being close enough to picturesque locations to enjoy like Lunenburg. Met with Mark one of the owners and had such wonderful engaging conversations as well as with Trish in the office. Wonderful dock to relax on - can only imagine the fun during the warmer sunny days. You will be happy you booked here.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The staff and owner are lovely. We received a warm welcome and a personal escort to our room. The rooms are very well appointed with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The decor is beautiful and the entire property is very well maintained. There is a small beach area, lots of outdoor seating with tables and umbrellas and a lovely dock. Close enough to Bridgewater and groceries, easy enough to travel further to see Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove or Halifax. Yet return every night to a quiet resort that has everything under the stars. And amazing views of the stars as well.

Exceptional experience! The room was clean, well decorated and functional. The property offered all of the necessities as well as some bonus areas and activities. We felt well taken care of and, were able to experience all of the wonderful things the area has to offer. The property owners have gone above and beyond, thinking of everything you may need/want and added their own thoughtful touches to allow you to immerse yourself in the beautiful setting of Nova Scotia. Highly recommend!

I can't stress enough how wonderful this place was to stay. Every room was designed to the nines. The detailing in each room was so well thought out. The beds were so comfortable, and the place felt like you were staying at a spa retreat. There was relaxing music that was piped throughout the compound, that made everything feel so zen. We stayed there as a film crew in May, and Mark, the owner of The Lighthouse Motel was the consummate host. He even prepped a lovely bonfire for us every night, and the views are to die for, right on the La Have River. I can’t rave enough about this place. If you are looking for a place to stay in the Bridgewater area, look no further than the Lighthouse Motel.

This place is absolutely magical!! When staying here, it isn’t just a hotel stay, it’s an experience!!! The owners and all of the staff are so friendly and welcoming…the grounds are so well kept and everything is so clean and sleek!! The whole place is so serene and peaceful! We loved hanging out on the dock. Lighthouse Motel and Cottages is an absolute GEM! This was our first visit, but it DEFINITELY won’t be our last! We hope to make it a yearly thing!

Arthur’s Urban Market is pure delight. Every time I walk through their doors, I’m greeted by the smell of fresh‐baked bread and a beautifully curated lineup of local goodies. Their artisan bakery truly stands out: sourdoughs, croissants, loaves that still warm your hands. The staff are friendly and helpful (when I’ve had questions, they always go the extra mile), and the store layout is clean and inviting. It’s not the cheapest grocery in town, but when I'm in Halifax and am looking for quality, convenience, and a lovely shopping experience, Arthur’s is absolutely worth it.

It's the closest place to restock drinks and such on vacation with the hotel we're staying at - but I think we bought them out of propeller root beer 🤣 my last run before flying out, they were all out. Had to find some elsewhere to bring with me. 🤣 but great selection of stuff otherwise.

Clean and organized small size grocery store with a display of fresh vegetables and a good selection of international products. There are a good selection of precooked food such as roast chicken, sandwiches, soups, Jamaican patties, and onigiri. Their bread is made on-site and pretty fantastic to bring to a picnic. Definitely recommend visiting if you live or work nearby. Maybe you’ll be able to find that item you forgot from your grocery list or pick up something for lunch/dinner.

A conveniently placed market in the center of Halifax. I had not eaten a fruit or vegetable in 3 days so came here as a scurvy precaution measure. Pretty good stuff, wish they had more kombucha selection! Also their strawberries were moldy

Nice view of Bridgewater. We did strawberry and raspberry picking here and the place is so beautiful. It's store also has fresh vegetables that they sell, I can say that this farm is popular to locals with the amount of people going there to buy fresh farm produce.

We had a wonderful day at Indian Garden Farms in Bridgewater! We went for raspberry picking, and my kids absolutely loved the experience. The farm has a huge area for picking, and it wasn’t crowded at all, which made it even more enjoyable. We picked 7 pints of fresh, juicy raspberries—so sweet and delicious! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was peaceful and family-friendly. We also saw that apples, pears, and blueberries are starting to ripen and will likely be ready next month—can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend this place for a fun outdoor activity with kids!

A place to bring the little ones to see the goats and Tinkerbell the pig...catch a glimpse of Olive the dog...Garfield the cat. Maybe a rooster crowing while you stroll to the market for goodies. I called to ask a question and the woman on the phone was so incredibly rude. I didn't even finish speaking before she abruptly interrupted me. The only words I got out of my mouth were "Do you have" before she yelled "NO" at me. She had no idea what I was even going to ask???? I don't know if she's a nepo hire or something, but she needs to learn some manners.

The older woman I spoke to at the farm was the most rude person I have ever encountered in Nova Scotia. Would not let me finish speaking. I asked for the name of the owner (maybe she is the owner?) she said "we don't give out no names or numbers". I don't plan to go back.

Great service! The owner is so nice and friendly. Good spot to experience delicious cakes. I had the chocolate with whiskey, vanilla with rum, and whiskey. I also got one big cake to bring back home. BTW, they were very moist and the owner explained me how to prepare the mix to put in the cake: rum or whiskey with water and sugar.

It's really nice inside and the person working was very helpful. I like that you can see that they're baked freshly as well. We came on a Friday evening and took a small cake to go. We got the original. The cake was nice but not enough rum at all. It was almost brushed with rum? I am used to eating a lot of foods with rum in it so I was very excited but this cake was very good for a cake, not really a rum cake.

If you like rum cake, run on over to Rum Runners and get a slice (or a whole cake). We were strolling along the waterfront and decided to pop in to get slices of the original rum cake and chocolate rum cake. The original was easily better - strong rum flavour, really moist cake. We liked it so much we got a small one to go. The chocolate, on the other hand, was pretty good, but could hardly taste the rum. Cakes are baked daily, but if you don't get there before the cruiseship hordes do, you may have to wait as they bake a new batch. (We missed out on the whiskey cake because of that - maybe next time!)

Don’t sleep on the chocolate Rum cake it has less of a rummy flavour but great shot of chocolate. Nice and warm on this rainy day. Don’t expect to be punched in the face with a Rum flavour it’s milder than you may expect but really nice.

I recently returned from a trip to Nova Scotia and brought back five different kinds of cakes from the coast. Sharing them with friends, some former East coasters, 24 Carrot oatcakes were the clear fan favorite, more than holding their own against the finest oat cakes from Cape Breton. They are cross between the more austere CB style and some of the thicker, decadent mainland versions. A perfect balance it appears. They were so well loved by a friend’s Colombian girlfriend that she took the balance of his chocolate dipped oak cakes back to Bogota. Thanks to the staff at the bakery for setting me up for success! Ps. I also purchased chocolate macaroons which proved to be a perfect energy boost during the long drive back to Upper Canada.

What did you change in your oatcakes? They used to be crispy and tasty; now they're SOGGY and BLAND. I'm never buying them again and they were my favourite. I'll bet you cheaped out on the butter.....

My first experience was great fresh and looked great display was full and service was awesome. But today June 22 .2.10 my child and I felt rushed my daughter 5 years old was excited and didn't know what she really wanted to try she then decided on two cupcakes. After the person served it she said anything else I said yes I would like to have a date square. Again (anything else I said yes my girlfriend wants something as well..she pick and then and anything else. I asked about the pies and the person walked aways from me as I was talking to her ..I could not even hear what she was saying. I asked again and it seemed like she got upset because she had to repeat herself. Not returning to this place again ..

Dreamy cottage on the beach! Our family stayed in the Rosehip! Beautiful location. Even with other cottages around, the grounds were very quiet! We felt as if we were the only ones on the property most of the time. A short drive to Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. Thank you for sharing your property with us .

Our cottage at Salty Rose was beautiful and peaceful. It was comfortable and very well equipped. Even with damp, drizzly weather during our stay, we were able to enjoy the surroundings from our screened-in porch.

I thought it would be a great idea to my wife to Salty Rose Cottages as I was impressed with a previous stay. Upon arriving there wasn’t anyone at the front office and when I called to let them know we were there to check in there was no answer( which I thought odd), so we just made our way down to the cottage we had rented. Really enjoyed the cottage location but the windows on the sliding doors had Children's finger prints all over them as well as the front sunroom also had children’s finger primes all over it. There was a few pieces of what looks like candy that were under the coffee table/storage in the living room as well as a number of balls of fur which I can only presume was dog hair, which resulted my wife to have itchy eyes and stuffy nose for the last two days of our stay. And finally there was a bunch of dirt on top of the heat register in the bathroom and area rug in the living room. I truly hate to complain but when you pay that kind of money one would expect better. MH

We stayed at the "Rosewood" which is a large studio cottage. The staff was very friendly upon check in and dropped by the cottage to ensure that we were settled in and to answer any questions if we had any. The kitchen in the cottage was well equipped but of course we had to provide our own food. There was a BBQ available but we did not use it. The cottage was very clean well maintained. The bed was very comfortable too! The wood burning stove and double jet tub were nice additions to the experience! The cottages are very close to the water and you can sit on the patio and hear the waves crashing on the beach. I would highly recommend staying here since the rates are very reasonable. My wife and I are looking forward to coming back for another weekend getaway!

We’ve been visiting Salty Rose since 1996, we had our honeymoon there. We go back every few years. We love it. The cottages have everything you need, the screened in porches are a dream. For tourists you’re close to shops, restaurants and beaches. Give them a try, you’ll love it!

We enjoyed a stay in a studio cottage. It was nicely.furnished with a.very well equipped kitchen. The smaller cottage had no tub but the large shower was superb! The beach was wonderful and the lawn area and rose gardens were beautiful and we'll lept. No wonder this perfect little resort is booked far in advance!

The bread here is amazing. We have tried a number of different ones and have never been disappointed. The pastries and tarts are delicious. This Christmas we ordered a Yule log and it was far and away the best we have had. Go early as this place is very popular.

Wow! This place is amazing. The pastries are just perfect. The bread look wonderful too and hadn't tried them yet so just picked up a loaf this morning. You can tell it's going to be great by the feel and smell. Just wish they were closer to me as they are over an hour away...but so worth the drive.

Best quality baked goods I have encountered in Canada. My wife and I bought pain au chocolat, 2 cookies and a traditional French baguette. And wow, this place is the real deal. They open at 6:30am, so clearly they take their traditional craft very seriously, and boy does it show. This bakery world be right at home.in Paris. Amazing 👏

I was on a road trip from Toronto Ontario, my in laws who live in Nova Scotia recommend the bakery. I will say I have never tasted something so fresh and delicious!! Before we left back home we made sure to grab few bags of croissants and butter cookies! You will NOT be disappointed :D

It is worth the trip! Oh yes! Their croissants are amazing!! I also tried the brioche, which was very good. Merci beaucoup, j'ai vraiment aimé! I'd like to add that I've lived in France, so I have high bakery standards.

I don't live in Kingston, but whenever we drive by, we stop here and hope it's open. It's hidden in the back of a parking lot, like a local secret. It's not fancy. It may even be what used to be a garage. However, it is charming. You walk in. There is a baker. Everything is on display. There is nothing hidden. No back room. You can see the Baker, his ingredients, the oven, the racks. What he has baked is what is offered. The artist and his craft in full display. That is the beauty of it. What you can buy, I assume, is determined by what ingredients are available and what the Baker is inspired to create. Everything, I have ever bought was perfection. Last time, I bought a peach tart, it was glorious. Today no peach tart, a lemon tart. It was also delightful. For a moment the citrus made me forget the cold outside. Always present is some sort of crusty French bread. My son is partial to the rolls formed in the shape of a crown. With 5 of us in my family, it rarely survives the drive home. Everyone takes atleast one roll off the crown. My daughters' favorites? The buttery, flakey Chocolate croissants. Bring cash, that's all he takes. It will be worth every penny!

We did not have a good experience here at dinner time. From entering the store, it took us between 20-30 minutes to get our food which was alright. However, the staff was disinterested and hard for us to understand as they wouldn’t up at us when speaking. We had good experiences at of Tim Hortons so we were disappointed to have a negative experience.

This is my 3rd time in this location. The service time is really slow. This is unlike other tims I have been. Tim always has fast service time. I don't know what else to say. This is the only good coffee store here but the speed is not good the reputation of the brand.

Really great place to grab a bite! We went there in the height of the morning rush with a lot of cars waiting in the drive thru. We ate inside and got our order pretty quickly, despite all of the customers. Everything tasted as it should. The bagel B.E.L.T. was delicious, absolutely get that one! Coffee brew was nice too, but that's pretty normal for a Tim Hortons.

Came there to have my all time fav coffee and bagel while visiting lunenberg. Met the most hospitable people Alicia , jakson and lucky. It was nice to meet such warm people. Service was really quick.

I have previously stopped at this Tim Hortons multiple times and the service has steadily declined. A few weeks ago I stopped for a coffee and went inside since the drive through was lined up to the intersection. I waited in line behind one other person for at least 20 minutes to order a coffee while 10-15 customers passed through the drive through receiving their orders. Most recently I stopped on Sunday September 28, 2025 at arpprox 2:30. The ladies washroom was completely out of toilet paper. When I approached the counter to advise a male employee that was not serving customers, I was met with harsh rudeness and zero compassion; he refused to address the situation and became argumentative. I spoke to 2 other employees before the third employee sent someone to refill the toilet paper dispenser. As per company policy, the washrooms are to be checked every hour. Not one of the 4 employees I spoke to, including the manager on duty, could advise me the last time the washroom was checked. The manager was the only employee to apologize for the situation and make any effort to rectify it. Do better Tim Horton’s staff!

September 28, 2025 -- I went inside to place my order and noted that the doors were wide open, which is weird. I walked in and was SMACKED in the face with heat! It was HOTTER then the outside for crying outloud. Room temperature is considered 21° and it was easily 30-40° inside. Unacceptable! The two that were slinging coffee were sweating buckets. And looked to need a break. Seriously, if you have two cash registers -- use them (and maybe work as a team 🤷🏻‍♀️)! Anyway, back to the heat. I was informed that the heat / AC had been broken for OVER A MONTH! What do you mean A MONTH?!?! I said this was absolutely unacceptable and should be reported to the labour board / OHS if the store owner / manager isn't correcting the problem immediately. Having an active environment such as TH, being around hot appliances, and having the heat being sky high is just asking for your employees to get over heated and increases the potential of them passing out and needing medical care. The fact that it was over a month broken tells me the owner doesn't actually care about their employees. I sure hope it's fixed now.

This place washrooms were fithty no one had cleaned it in days, no toilet paper pee all over the floor. Service so slow, line up to the door and only one person taking orders more focused on drive thru. Order a pizza, had to wait 10mins and he only started to make the pizza, then it came out and it wasn’t even cooked fully, cold in seconds and the crust wasn’t even crisps. Took it back and had to get it remade. (Oven is broke or someone is rushing them out) And the biggest issue is multiple employee are talking to each other in their native language and laughing. This is rude, to the customers and fellow employees that dont speak these languages. Yes we are a multi cultural country. You’re in a business work place everyone should speaking English. Speak another language is like speaking behind another’s back. It is rude and disrespectful. Not to mention there to busy doing this and not focusing on there job at hand to lead to slow service, poor quality, and dirty atmosphere. And this issue is across all Tim hortons not just this location.

Been here twice today, seems very busy Tim Hortons. Well, It's very clean and has good variety of baked good. Service for drink is good enough. In the afternoon no was able to take my order, so the baker has to come out there while leaving their work. Gonna suggest'em to add another person. (Less stars for less staff)

Food is just fine (WHEN they actually have it). There are a couple drive thru team here that are really friendly and great but more often than not, it’s not a pleasant experience. “Do you have any of the new timbits?” —NOPE. “Do you have your latte machine repaired yet (going on three weeks busted) —no, waiting for parts. “Can i get two Lime Cilantro Chicken Bowls? —No. We only have enough rice for one. “As advertised on your board, do you have the new marshmallow filled donut?” -NOPE. Like…what? First of all NOPE is not an appropriate customer friendly response. Secondly, Be polite, please. It’s not that hard to do. Especially when you just told your regular customer that once again you have NOTHING available. I’m giving up on this Tim’s and am thinking HQ needs to know how this franchise doesn’t uphold the bar that Tim Hortons Corporate must surely expect. I could run this place better single handedly and would happily buy it. While I was at it, i’d attend a Chamber of Commerce meeting and bring up the ridiculous logistics of the drive thru and how you end up blocking interaction traffic just to wait in line to be told nothing is available off the menu.

I already stopped going to McDonald’s and I’ll soon stop tim Hortons. I can not go in with the cashier Jackie mumbling something under her breath and shaking her head with a smile on her face. Explained to her I wanted no egg for ten minutes. She said okay waiting and I get egg on my bagel and can’t get anyone’s attention. Then the coffee I had to explain to her three times and she ended up making it herself was a large and end up getting a medium which is two filler less then the one I ordered. Will be back to hopefully get my money back. I feel like she is teasing me every time I go in

It is truly the best bakery. EVERYTHING is fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious! The lemon blueberry loaf is my favorite. No, wait, the donuts are. Or the variety of squares. Seriously. I can't decide, but I will give you a heads up that they only take cash or e-transfer. Everything is reasonably priced. You gotta check it out.

Went in to use the bathroom 5 days ago, the toilet was full of poop and toilet paper. Went in today toilet was full of more poop and toilet paper and still out of order. They had a variety of 2 kinds of donuts, not worth the time going in. FIX YOUR TOILET!!! Donut shops should have more than 2 types of donuts to choose from!! Also what have you done to your ice caps? They are whiter and taste like frozen milk rather than cappuccino!!

It was quite busy and there were not enough staff working g. The parking lot and drive thru set up is horrible. The drive through line completely blocks those who park and go in so you are stuck in the parking lot waiting for those drive thru line to let you out. And there is only one entrance to the lot which also gets blocked by the line. Its not a good set up. The coffee and food are typical tims food.

This is the best Tim Horton's in Canada by far, super clean and such friendly staff. We had the best time.

Oh, man. First of all, it's gotta be a health code violation to have so many flies in the building. There's gotta be 30 flies just flying around the lights. I shouldn't have to swat flies while eating in a franchise as big as Tim Hortons. Also, they got our order wrong, and they even checked to confirm if i wanted my drink frozen or not before making it. I got lemonade instead somehow. The other frozen drinks we ordered were only half frozen, leaving a bunch of water at the bottom. A quarter of the menu isn't available because they dont have rice available at all. Also, they only had one long bun left, and there was just a stray donut sitting on top of the glass with a fly on it. The service was nice though, so that's cool.

I visit this location daily, I love the dark roast coffee! Always friendly service at the window from Wanda, Ankita or Arti. Thanks Barb - for making my breakfast sandwhich just the way I like it. I enjoy the variety of menu items such as the lemonade, flatbreads and wraps. Thanks all!

Absolutely love their garden center! They have very reasonable prices, lots of selection, and all their plants are very healthy! The staff has tons of knowledge so if you have questions about caring for your plants they have lots of good information to help you! Highly recommend checking them out first before going to other garden centers!

What a spot!!! I live in Liverpool and I have been here a few times but my first time recently at the garden centre! The lady in there was lovely and wow the plants were looked after so so well. I went to Canadian tire a few hours before and gosh they didn’t look after their plants even close to this place. Next year I will take the drive and it will defiantly be my go to spot to get my seasonal plants! Also the icecream is great too.

If you travel to Kazimkuzik, stop by here and eat ice cream. If you drive for a long time and take a break, I recommend you to come here. Some kinds of ice cream can be out of stock. Drive safely!

Nice place to have lunch outside. The food was good and we were able to eat outside at a picnic table. The plants were lovely!

When traveling near here we venture out of our way to stock up on some of their speciality jams and preserves. Baked goods and some uniqe items. Great family place for a coffe and ice cream. Clean and well kept.

We ordered our Parks Canada Perfect Picnic lunches here ahead of a day trip to Kejimkujik Seaside... and we are so glad we did! Delicious sandwiches made with fresh baked bread made on-site, hummus, veggies, local apples, and a brownie. When we picked our lunches up, we were wishing we had a cooler so we could buy more to take home - loads of fresh produce, bakery goods, prepared meals, and more. Definitely worth the stop - we will be back to shop again!

What an amazing discovery! Wonderful baked good. In fact I had what probably was the best muffin I have ever had.

Stopped in for a quick bite so we could hit the road with muffins or some type of pastry. My wife is a picky eater and could not find anything she wanted. I got a turnover type pastry that was OK but would have been better with a little more filling.

Clean, mostly quiet and tons of seating options as this location is attached to a Wendy's with a full dining room. Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are, but it's a beautiful location.

Great service, food was hot and prepared well. Restaurant, however, is filthy especially the front counter, area around the cash, display case, and food prep area. Thick layers of dust and greasy finger smudges on the cases. See photo of accumulated dust and dirt gathered between the food prep case area. This Tim Hortons is a disappointment.

Every time I order a vanilla iced latte at this location, they never have oat milk available only almond milk. I don’t have a choice at all. Frustrating always.

The inside of this Tom Hortons is truly disgusting. There were flies flying all around the food preparation area. There is dust, dirt and grime on every surface in the preparation area. There is spilled food and coffee that has dried on the inside of the glass. The outside of the glass is equally gross. The floors were dirty with food and garbage. Another customer left a review reporting the truth about this dirty place a month ago and then someone posted a glowing review about the amazing cleanliness there. Looks pretty suspicious and the restaurant is still filthy.

Stopped on my way to work. Was hesitant at first because the drive thru line was long but it move pretty fast. The guy at the window was very friendly, my coffee was hot and correct.

Ate in the restaurant. Food tasted great....however the amount of flies in this place is very concerning. Also, I order 2 bowls and a pizza and it took 15 minutes to get it! Crazy time to wait at a tims. 2 lady's making the food were fantastic however things could have moved faster as there where 5 other employees (all guys) standing around for a while just looking at the ladys. They could have jumped in and helped make some back orders. Anyway, won't be ordering in store again.

This cafe will be my reason to come back to Annapolis Valley! It was the best place to enjoy local pastries and see how real people in the town interact with each other! Sitting and working there was so fun! All the pastries were amazing! The coffee was very tasty! The seating area was really fun to sit in with a very good design! We tried a bunch of their pastries and breakfast options and they were all super amazing. The breakfast danish was very nice, It was a bit fatty but that gave it a very good taste. My favorite sweet was the blackberry cream cheese square, They were not very sweet and tasted tart and creamy and very tasty!

Cozy spot right next to the Annapolis market. The pastries and sandwiches are very good. If you end up going in the morning, they may be very busy right as they open. I was a big fan of their Acadian Patties. Definitely will be returning the next time I'm in Annapolis.

Absolutely love the almond croissants and get one every time. The cider is also delightful, coming in regular or with added spices. Be prepared to wait in line, and don’t count on getting a place to sit unless you come early! Appreciate that there’s an accessibility entrance on the side of the building.

A lovely place to stop for a coffee or lunch after a busy morning of shopping at the Annapolis Royal Farmers Market. I had the roasted apple & pumpkin soup with a small side salad. The food was very fresh and tasted delicious. I will definitely be going again on my next visit to Annapolis Royal

I was really disappointed with my recent visit. I stopped by Tim Hortons expecting a quick snack and some coffee, but when I looked at the croissants in the glass display case, I noticed a mosquito sitting right on one of them. It was inside the case, not on the outside, which made it even more concerning. Seeing an insect on food that’s supposed to be freshly baked and protected doesn’t give me confidence about the cleanliness or food safety standards here. I didn’t end up ordering anything because it completely turned me off. Tim Hortons is usually a reliable stop, but this experience was unacceptable. I hope management takes food safety and hygiene more seriously going forward, because customers deserve better.

Slow service. After we finally got our order and back on the highway, my daughter realized there was a black fly in her iced cap. Absolutely disputed by this. We will be stopping at the next tim hortons for a refund.

This was without a doubt the WORST Tim Hortons experience I’ve ever had! We ordered a protein Ice Capp with an espresso shot (paid extra for it), but they gave us just a regular Ice Capp. On top of that, we ordered a BLT and a wrap, took over 20 minutes to prepare, even though there were only a couple of simple orders ahead of us. When we finally got the food, the sandwiches were cold and the paper was soaked in grease! (looked worse than a popcorn bag at the movies, even though we didn’t order anything with butter)!! When I opened my wrap, it was smeared with some red substance (not sure what it was). I went back inside, and the staff member just said “oh oh” without really caring. They remade it, but the rice and chicken inside were stone cold, clearly not heated properly. To make things worse, the person behind us in line also waited 20 minutes just for a chicken wrap. If this is how long they take with only a few customers, I can’t imagine what a rush hour would look like. Terrible service, careless staff, and unacceptable food quality. We will definitely NEVER be back!

Stood at the counter and was completely ignored. Garbage "service". I would hope a manager sees these because that is absolutely ridiculous. Someone should get fired. Completely. Ignored. I left, went to the bathroom, came back and bought a different coffee from the gas station instead, the guy who walked in after me was still waiting. This is probably one of the worst Tim Hortons in Nova Scotia. Just read all of the other 1-star reviews. The morning crew is usually competent, but the staff that takes over in the afternoon is terrible. Terrible customer service, never a please or thank you. You're lucky if you can get some food. The owner is clearly cheaping out with the staff they're hiring. The timbits are terrible, why are they different from other Tim Hortons, is the owner cheaping out on these too?

New Tim Hortons META. Right off the highway in glooscap landing, big parking lot, self-order kiosks, really quick service, they heated my pastry in a mini OVEN, not the friggen microwave and it came out crispy and kinda soft on the inside, good lord. I modify the iced coffee for sweetener instead of cane syrup and milk instead of cream and the guy calls my name and lists off the modifications to make sure he got it right, I’m amazed, whenever I’m headed out to the valley I’m stopping here, not wolfville / kentville anymore. Serious contender for best timmies in the province and I’ve surely been to almost all of them.

This is hands down the dirtiest Tim Hortons I’ve ever been in. The floors in behind the counter were atrocious, bagels with cream cheese on the floor beside the sandwich bar, slices of bacon on the floor, whole bagels that had clearly been dropped but not picked up. Fruit flies in the display case with the donuts and muffins and flies flying around everywhere. Didn’t realize just how bad it was until I went to the pick up counter to wait for the 3 breakfast wraps I ordered. Didn’t end up eating any of them because my family and I were so disgusted by the state of the place.

I absolutely adore Robins for their delightful baked goods! Their pies are simply mouthwatering, and the sandwiches are always a treat. Each visit feels like a delicious adventure! Their coffee is not to my taste, but their baked goods 👌

When I travel through the Valley, I always make this place my gas/pit stop. The Staff are always friendly, the coffee and pastries are always fresh and you can not beat the chicken. The facilities are always super clean.

Wasn't expecting much stopping by off the highway. Decided to get there classic breakfast. Was great value 2 eggs 3 hashbrowns coffee and 3 peices bacon. Everything tasted fantastic. And lady who took my order was very friendly. Would recommend to anyone passing by

The vibe inside was cute. Drink was decent, and the food was fine. I was hoping for crispy breakfast potatoes, but they were OK. Maybe my choice of brunch wasn't a great choice for a first time visit. I do think that the $16.50 price tag for the Egg Benedict is a bit high (potatoes and beef sausage patties were add ons for $8.50 extra). Bisuit was good though.

Great food and great people. The atmosphere was also nice. I had a chicken sandwich, banana bread, and soup of the day. I don't exactly remember the name of the soup (I think apple something), it had a sweet flavor, very delicious. Wish them all the best!

Your patience will be rewarded with a delicious meal, good value and price. You are a little cozy with your neighbor, but you’ll enjoy getting to know the locals. If you like bacon and beef bacon is not your cup of tea, ask for smoke salmon

We had breakfast egg sandwiches which were nice and fresh with tea. After that, we got the drip coffee with some desserts to try, including the millionnaire bar and lime lavender cookie. The café is located near Lunenberg and I liked that the prices included the gratitude so you don’t have to worry about it. All the food is Halal and they don’t serve pork bacon, but they offer beef bacon instead. The food taste really good, but it took time to make the sandwiches about 40 minutes which is the only downside if you’re tied in time. Otherwise I really recommend this nice cafe.

Hole in the wall spot that should be far more frequented based off the food here. Had the omelette with a side of home made beef sausage and this was some of the best sausage I've ever had in my life. Meaty, perfectly seasoned sausage with a light kick to remember them by. Omelette was tasty as well. Food was tasty enough where I got a brownie and lemon square to go, and the brownie was another one of the best brownies I've ever had. Everything here is halal and the establishment takes some real pride in their cooking, and it shows. They are apparently moving to downtown Lunenburg in a few weeks, but the food here is fantastic for such a hole in the wall kind of place. Go visit them, your taste buds will thank you!

Amazing food! Their potato salad is to DIE for!! We went there when thy were changing their locations, now its located in an old house, close to the port. It gives such a magical vibe since youre feeling like your centuries on the past! Highly recommend!!

My family and I went to the hungry Traveler looking for some tasty treats. The staff were super friendly. We first asked for a charcuterie board and they brought it right away while we took time to decide what we wanted to order. Our baby especially loved th charcuterie board as everything was cut into finger food size. We later met the owner and found out that this dish was inspired by what her own daughter likes to eat. We ended up ordering 2 coffees a smoked meat sandwich and a chicken club sandwich. The food tasted amazing which was no surprise as they use local ingredients and in-house freshly baked bread. We really wanted to try there baked goods but were too full. Definitely will be going back for the baked goods and other upcoming exciting menu items.

This little shop is very plain and simple with good food choices. I had a coffee with cream and a sausage roll. The coffee was decent for the $2.50 I paid, and the sausage roll was so good, with a nice flaky crust and a really good amount of sausage in it. My daughter got a chocolate chip cookie which was also really good. They had a great variety of English products and also a fridge with cheeses and frozen meals in it. They also offer every few months an afternoon tea, which seems like a cute idea.

We just happened to stop into this gem of a Cafe by chance on our way to Blue Beach and enjoyed the most delicious lunch, both savoury and sweet! Everything was really fresh and homemade, and sooo good, and very reasonable priced as well! Their selection is awesome, so many yummy things to choose from! A big thumbs up, we'll be sure to be back and recommend it to our friends.

Cute little bakery that offers easy in on all their wares. I had the quiche which was delicious. Get there early if you want one of the pies.

Very good experience. Delicious soup of the day (corn chowder) with a terrific tea biscuit on the side. Very authentic range of British products. Pleasant service and reasonable pricing.
