Ice cream shop
Gelateria di Berna is a beloved ice cream spot that has gained popularity among locals and tourists alike. Founded in 2010 in Bern, it has since expanded to Zurich with four locations. The Brupbacherplatz location also serves as an ice cream laboratory, allowing visitors to witness the process through a glass window behind the counter.
Gelateria di Berna is hands down one of the best ice cream spots in Zürich! The flavors are incredibly rich, creative, and made with top-quality ingredients — you can really taste the difference. Portions are generous, and the atmosphere is always lively and welcoming. The staff are friendly and efficient, even when there’s a line out the door (which just proves how popular it is!). Every visit feels like a little holiday. Definitely a five-star gem in the city!
Valter D — Google review
I have been here a couple of times now so I thought its time for a review. Great Gelateria with a large selection of ice creams. I really like that they do not only have standard flavours but some nice and unusual combinations. Be aware that at times they have some very long queues.
Tim S — Google review
Delicious ice cream with some original flavors like rosemary! Perfect treat on a warm day or after a stroll through the nearby streets—especially beautiful during cherry blossom season. Friendly service and a lovely little spot to enjoy something refreshing.
M. — Google review
Really great sorbet and only CHF 4 for two scoops. It was so smooth and refreshing especially on a hot day. The line was long, back to the tree outside but locals in line said it was “short” so they decided to lump in because the line is generally quite long. Highly recommend
Daniel H — Google review
Our favorite gelato in the city with a robust standing roster of dairy-based and vegan options, as well as fun rotating specials. Smooth. Creamy. Magical. ✨💫 Current go-pairing: Cocco + Himbeer-Ingwer
Gloria Y — Google review
Decent gelato but I’m surprised by how popular it is. They have a wide variety of flavours, some of which are average, others are good but the ice cream itself is less creamy than what you’d expect and you’d occasionally also find the odd ice crystal in them - which is practically a disqualification for any top tier gelato
YB — Google review
If you see lines here in the evenings or on weekends, it's because the ice cream tastes good (very natural) and the staff is very friendly + the interior is so atmospheric. And as for Zurich, the prices here are quite pleasant
Helga P — Google review
For the moment it ranks as my favorite creamery in Zurich. However, keep your expectations at the right level: I would consider this to be a good ice cream also in Italy (even above average), but in terms of innovation and intensity of flavors is not even close to the level of the best of the best.

Rosso Arancio is a charming gelateria located in Zurich, known for its homemade gelato made from 100% natural ingredients. The shop offers a weekly special called Caipiroska, which is a vodka and fruit mix popular in Brazil. In addition to traditional flavors, the gelateria also serves alcohol-inspired ice creams like Mojito or Gin Tonic. Visitors can watch the traditional Italian gelato being created as the mixing machines are visible at the counter where you place your order.
Hands down the best gelato we ever had the dark chocolate and mango were so delicious, they were so good that we had them twice the same night and still didn’t feel too sweet or full. The gelato was rich, creamy and full of flavours and perfect amount of sweetness, will recommend 100%
Yadwinder D — Google review
Very good gelato: the flavours are authentic, not so sweet like those where they use suger to bring out the taste. My favourite flavours are pistachio and tiramisu, the latter is so good that one has the impression of eating a tiramisu!
M P — Google review
One of the best in Zurich. Yoghurt flavour is very good! Small but nice seating area on the pavement.
BuReNdo — Google review
Wow, phenomenal gelato! It tastes like Italy. You can easily tell that this place is legit because the Pistachio ice cream is not green. Congrats to the team making this gelato. It was super flavorful, and amazing texture. I would come back and anyone visiting Zurich should come.
Diego C — Google review
One of the best gelatos we tried, and we ended up going a total of three times during our stay. The gelato is perfectly smooth with strong flavours. There are a few unique combinations and some more traditional ones, and even across our three trips a new flavour was added so it seems there's always something different. The staff was also very friendly. Both staff members that served us were helpful and offered samples (sometimes without even asking for them). Prices might be a bit higher than other places but not by much for Zurich, and the quality here makes it worth the small increase.
Benhockey97 — Google review
I don't understand people queuing at Mövenpick. This is sooo much better. Not too sweet, intense creamy, full of flavour and all natural ingredients. This is italian standard ice-cream quality.

Soooo yummy gelato the flavour is rich and they are generous in the portion 😋🍦the lady who served us was kind and welcoming

Gelati AM SEE is a charming Italian ice cream stand located by the picturesque lake of Zurich, near the stunning Chinese garden. Since 1998, Daniel Kissling has been serving up delicious Italian Gelati from his retro blue-and-white ice cream cart, evoking a nostalgic 60s vibe. The stand offers 27 flavors, including nine vegan sorbets, with daily rotating selections. Each order comes with a complimentary sample of your choice or a fun animal-shaped treat for kids.
I had the vanilla and choclate gelato and it was amazing. There is also a great view of the lake right by and some benches to sit. Nice workers and very cheap but good. would go again
Kuromi — Google review
One of the best gelato in town - deliciously creamy and full of flavor! The friendly staff will brighten your day 😁🌷 Highly recommended if you’re visiting Lake Zurich!
Jeannette — Google review
We used to get ice cream here and it's great. Just be aware, today I observed it took about 2 minutes per person on the queue to serve. If there is a long queue, e.g. 30 people, expect to wait more than an hour.
Çağlar K — Google review
Lovely gelato to have by the lake. I tried the pistachio with a dollop of vanilla on top.
Penang L — Google review
I honestly don’t understand the hype. I’ve cream was good but not amazing. Staff was very nice. The queue was insane on Sunday. Huge disappointment with the flavors. They had only like 6. Wouldn’t go there again
Stjepan K — Google review
Love the tiny scoop on top!! Will be back for the Blood Orange flavor.
Rapas T — Google review
Ginepero gelato and Milk (mini scoop) Gelato. Ice cream flavours offered in western countries are often safe choices which makes me wonder if floral flavours from Birds of paradise can succeed in Western countries. This was probably one or 2 of the only more unique flavor I have seen. Pretty interesting though the crowd here seems to like vanilla or chocolate more.
Peter L — Google review
Why i love this place,?the flavours halooo🤷🏽‍♀️ like its soo good and has a variety of ranges and they are different every time, and the flavours are fresh and you can actually taste, feel and smell them.....if you ate in Zurich, better try this place out. And oooh there is always a bonus test taste ice cream😍

This charming ice cream shop is perfect for summers in Zurich. They have a rotating selection of homemade ice cream and sorbet, making it the perfect place to cool off on a hot day. It's also easy to spend a lazy afternoon lounging around and sampling all the flavors.
The best gelato that I’ve come across in Zurich, Switzerland, and beyond! The dark chocolate and melon sorbets are especially divine and not too sweet. Vegan options clearly marked! A firm favourite!
Neil M — Google review
The queue in front of the building alone shows that this is a need. And probably a good one. The selection is good. The quality too. I was positively surprised by their attentiveness. I had a chat with my son about the very adventurous-sounding Parmesan ice cream. This was overheard and I was given a teasing scoop on top of my order to try. Wonderful.
Thomas K — Google review
A local friend took us here because this place was her favorite place for gelato. They put a small scoop sample of whatever flavor when you buy a scoop of regular gelato. Friendly staff and very hygienic when scooping the ice cream.
Eva — Google review
The first gelato I had during my trip (I would eat many more during my trip😋🥰). I arrived in the evening and there was a long queue in front of the store. It is sooo delicious, and it is a standard price of the gelato in Zurich. There are many flavors to choose, I chose strawberry, and a spoon of chocolate for try! Sooooo nice💗🤎
簡辰恩 — Google review
The quality of the gelato was really nice and I’d definitely recommend it. They also give you a miniature scoop of ice cream along with your order for you to try.
Anzor K — Google review
Great ice cream. They have vegan options too. Unfortunately, no sugar-free options. The black sesame is good.
Katrin — Google review
The best dark chocolate in Zurich! The fruit flavors are incredible as well, and I love that they give you an extra little scoop to try — such a thoughtful touch!
Hedra S — Google review
I just chanced across the gelato by accident after a full day strolling around Zürich. Tried 3 flavours with an extra one added for tasting, and now I’m thinking I want to go back for more. Special mention goes to lemon and ginger which is exceptional and blood orange too, also saffron & last but not least pineapple and basil. Can’t wait for the store opening tomorrow, my new happy place.

Schokolato Bar Deli Gelateria in Wallisellen is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian gelato. Niccolo Binazzi's mission to bring true Italian gelato to Switzerland has resulted in a range of delectable flavors that are also available at various events and restaurants. The dark, intense Cioccolato Dark Sorbet is a standout, but all the flavors are equally impressive.
I'm a regular customer, thus the reason I couldn't wait to take a photo before starting it :) Hat's off, this is one of the best gelatos I've ever had. It's creamy, rich, well balanced and flavorful. You can't go wrong with any flavor you will pick. Of course, the wonderful people working there are only adding up to this experience :) Enjoy!

Really good gelato! And happy to find it open on a Sunday! Will be back! 😊
Desislava B — Google review
Ice cream is truly fantastic with lots of flavours to choose from. Would give a 5* rating but the speed of service is just too slow. The “maxi” pot is not really maxi, they need a bigger pot for eating right away in my opinion (I should point out that you can also get a 600ml box which is more for take home than take out and eat right away). I will definitely be back, even in spite of the wait.

Ice cream shop
Hasta Ice Cream is a renowned gelato shop that has been serving delicious ice cream for 16 years in Sion. Last summer, the business expanded to Zurich, where it offers luxury gelato with surprising flavors in the Niederdorfli area. Customers can enjoy a variety of flavors such as passion fruit and hazelnut, which are described as flavorful and delightful. The staff is known for being friendly and accommodating, allowing customers to sample different flavors before making a decision.
Wasn’t even planning on getting ice cream, but the line outside had me rethinking my life choices. Ended up giving in (no regrets), got the kulfi and dark chocolate and wow, it was surprisingly good. Didn’t dare venture into the more exotic flavors this time… wasn’t ready to gamble my taste buds just yet. But what I did try? Smooth, creamy, and the texture was spot on. Best part? It’s all homemade with local ingredients, which you can actually taste. None of that fake, overly sweet stuff just the real deal. Definitely coming back to try more next time. That line knew something I didn’t, and now I’m in on the secret.
Jason C — Google review
Absolutely loved our visit to Hasta Ice Cream in Zurich! The server was incredibly pleasant and generous, letting us try several flavours before choosing. The sesame seed flavour was a standout. Rich, unique, and delicious. A great experience all around. Highly recommend!
Irene P — Google review
Hasta ice cream is an absolute delight for anyone with a sweet tooth or a passion for artisanal desserts. From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted by an inviting atmosphere, bright pastel décor, friendly staff smiles, and the irresistible aroma of freshly churned ice cream. The display case, lined with a rainbow of flavors, instantly sparks excitement and makes choosing just one feel nearly impossible. What sets Hasta Ice Cream apart is its unwavering commitment to quality. Every flavor is crafted in small batches using premium, locally sourced ingredients. Creamy vanilla comes alive with real vanilla bean specks; the rich chocolate is velvety without being overly sweet; and fruit-based options, like tangy mango or summer berry, taste as if you’re biting into ripe produce straight from the farm. For those seeking adventure, rotating seasonal specials, think lavender-honey, roasted pineapple-chili, or pumpkin spice offer unique taste experiences that keep customers coming back again and again. Service here is stellar. The scooping team is well-trained, enthusiastic, and more than happy to offer generous samples so you can find your perfect match. They’ll even customize portion sizes, swirls, or toppings, homemade waffle cones, crunchy praline, fresh fruit chunks, and decadent sauces, to craft an ice cream treat that’s uniquely yours. Beyond cones and cups, Hasta Ice Cream offers shakes, sundaes, floats, and even ice cream cakes, making it the ideal spot for celebrations and gatherings. They also provide catering for events, ensuring that weddings, birthday parties, and corporate functions benefit from a sweet, memorable touch. Cleanliness and consistency are evident at every turn. Tables are spotless, the scooping station is immaculate, and every visit delivers the same high level of freshness and flavor. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the handcrafted nature of the products and the generous portions you receive. In a world filled with mass-produced frozen treats, Hasta Ice Cream stands out as a beacon of authenticity and creativity. Whether you’re a lifelong ice cream aficionado or simply in search of a delightful afternoon pick-me-up, this is the place to go. Highly recommended for families, date nights, solo indulgences, any occasion, really. Hasta Ice Cream promises and delivers pure, frozen bliss.

The ice cream is absolutely delicious, and I look forward to filling my stamp card from them again every summer. All flavors I’ve tried there have been so good, never been disappointed. One of the best black sesame ice creams I’ve found outside of East Asia. Other personal favorites are chai latte, dulce de leche, and ginger. The place is also beautifully located right across from the Grossmünster. Would definitely recommend stopping by!
Stella T — Google review
I had the best ice cream ever! The flavors are exotic and authentic. You can taste the ingredients intensely. They source good ingredients and made them with love!

This place is amazing! Such crazy flavours. Try the ginger ice cream. It's wonderful. If you're wondering how to pair it: mix it with chai. 5 stars all the way.

Hasta Ice Cream blew me away! The cinnamon ice cream was hands down the best I’ve ever had—rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. Every scoop felt like a little taste of heaven. If you’re an ice cream lover, this spot is a must-try!

This place has quickly become my favorite gelato spot in town. There’s something really special about it—not just the quality of the gelato, but the whole feeling you get being there. The flavors change every day, which makes each visit a little surprise. And they’re not just different—they’re thoughtful, creative, and incredibly well made. You can really feel how much care goes into every batch. It’s the kind of gelato that reminds you what real ingredients and passion can do. I’ve even waited in line for nearly an hour, and honestly? It was worth every second. I didn’t mind at all. It felt like part of the experience—like something you’d happily wait for because you know what’s coming is made with love. I’m already planning to come back as often as I can, just to slowly discover every flavor.

Eisladen Zürich is a very popular ice cream shop in Zurich with rich and delicious flavors. It can be a bit of a wait, but it's well worth it for the amazing flavor profiles. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making it an enjoyable place to spend a leisurely afternoon.
Came to Zurich for a short visit and walked past Eisladen and was immediately brought in by the smell of waffles. Wanted to try a Spaghettieis and was not disappointed. Tried a couple of gelato flavors but was blown away by the hazelnut. Staff were very friendly and welcoming!

3.90 for a scoop though I think the people in front of me had two half scoops which could be the move because the scoops were fairly large. CHF 7.50 for two. Had a couple of sorbets, they were fine. A little icier than other places. Not great, not terrible. Probably not the worst place to try but there are better nearby. Line wasn’t too bad but stretched out of the building.
Daniel H — Google review
We had the pleasure of collaborating with Eisladen for our recent office event, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The coordination was smooth, the service was impeccable, and the ice cream—absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh! Our entire team was delighted. I can definitely recommend the Eisladen team for any office gathering or corporate event. They truly bring a sweet touch to the occasion! :-)
Helena P — Google review
The ice cream, while not the best I've ever had, was decent. However, it didn't quite live up to the standards I expected in terms of quality. What disappointed me even more was the lackluster customer service. The employees were not as friendly as I would have hoped, which significantly impacted the overall experience. It's essential for a place that serves treats like ice cream to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, but sadly, that was lacking during my visit. Despite these shortcomings, I can't deny that the store has potential, and it might improve in the future. I hope they take this feedback to heart and work on both the quality of their ice cream and the friendliness of their staff. With some adjustments, this place could become a more enjoyable spot for ice cream lovers.

We tasted honey-almond, salted butter caramel & yoghurt and currants. They were all very nice!! The caramel was definitely my favourite!!! The currants were a little tart, maybe one could add a tiny bit more sugar, here. :) other than that, I’ll surely be back again & try the other flavours

There are plenty of good ice-cream shops in Zurich but none of them can compete with Eisladen when it comes to being fun and creative. I love the range of interesting flavours (e.g. blood orange and aperol sorbet), the home-made toppings and that you can have a grown up drink like vodka mate while you eat your ice cream. I had the spaghetti Eis last time I was there and I felt like a child again 💗can’t wait to try the ice-cream milkshake and the ice-cream in a doughnut.

Sorbetto ice cream, made in Zurich, offers classic flavors like vanilla, stracciatella, and chocolate alongside unique ones such as wasabi, sage, apple, and sour cream. All their sorbets are vegan and made from natural ingredients.
I tried three ice cream shops while visiting Zurich. All were good, but Sorbetto was the best in terms of texture and flavor. Highly recommend getting two flavors: lavender ice cream with banana-passion fruit sorbet in a cone. The two flavors complement each other very well, and their cones are better than the other shops.

Love the ice cream!!!! How is it that the person working there is in such a bad mood (3 times already)? The experience could be so much better - last year there was such a nice person, made such a difference!
Kleines P — Google review
Great ice cream, very tasty and not "just" sorbet. The staff almost seemed annoyed to have to serve us, and it wasnt very clear where to park the bikes (the neighbors made it clear that we couldnt briefly park our bikes around the shop). Would go again, but given the armosphere it's not one of my favorite ice cream places in Zurich.
Oliver K — Google review
A really good sorbet in this small ice cream shop. It will worth the walk and the ride. You won't find a fancy shop, but just a basic ice cream shop with a great range of sorbets available to taste. Strongly recommended.
Cris T — Google review
Excellent customer service, a varied selection and most importantly, super tasty ice cream! Well worth going a little out of the way!

High quality ice cream. Factory sell point with huge selection.
Liran K — Google review
This shop is just around the corner from where the ice cream is produced (in a neighborhood no one would expect it). The ice cream is delicious and the variety super interesting: e.g. green tea & chocolate, caramel & salt, wasabi & cinnamon. Try them out on the spot (liked the cone) and take a few buckets home.

Mövenpick is a popular ice cream store located in Bellevue, known for its wide variety of flavors and sorbets. In addition to their take-out service, they also have a cafe where visitors can enjoy delicious ice cream sundaes and fluffy, crispy waffles. Despite potential long lines, the service is quick and efficient. The store's friendly staff adds to the overall positive experience.
Nice icecream! We had Fior di Latte and Stracciatella and both were great. Expect to queue a little as the shop is located in a busy location near the lake. 🍦🍦🍦 The staff serving us was friendly and professional, so thank you to him!

Despite the long take-out line, the service went quick and I was served within a few minutes even if I was behind in the line. Ice cream itself is your generic movenpick taste but they do have a wide selection. Great to a get a scoop or two before you explore the Bellevue area of Zurich. The lines can be extra long on a hot day or if there is an event in the area — which, seasonally, there is.

The restaurant prides itself on its commitment to using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. In addition to their mouthwatering buffet meals, they also serve a variety of vegan ice creams and drinks.
Excellent organic food, highly intentional and clearly made with love. Mauricio was a wonderful server who made it easy navigating around the cornucopia of deliciousness, and when there’s crystals, pinecones and sacred trinkets sparkling in each corner you know the place is going to treat you right too. There is also a small selection of groceries to buy. My favorite vegan haven in Zurich!

Absolutely delicious. 1x vegetarian and 1x dairy free and we both regularly eat vegan food. Plates piled high in the buffet about £30 with delicious homemade kombucha which is a must try! Staff were super friendly and offered us samples of their products. We left with vegan ice cream and very happy.

Unforgettable Vegan Experience! What a gem in the heart of Zurich! From the moment I walked in, I felt warmly welcomed. The ambiance is modern yet cozy, and the staff were not only friendly but truly passionate about what they serve. I especially loved the desserts. Pure heaven without being overly sweet. It’s a place I’d recommend to vegans and non-vegans alike. Thank you for showing that plant-based cuisine can be this satisfying and inspiring. I’ll definitely be back!

The food is bio and fresh coocked. It’s a buffet and you pay per gr at the end after you choose everything you want to eat. The manager is kind but at the end I wanted to buy the exact alternative feta I ate from buffet and he recommended me another type ( confirming me that its’s the one I want ) even though I specifically asked for the same one.

Been here several times and it has always been a great experience. The ice creams are insanely good. Food is creative and tasty too. Feeling clean, blissful and thankful after every meal! 😇🌱💗
Baby Y — Google review
The ice cream was acceptable in quality but overpriced. This might be justified if considering their wider vegan selection compared to other places. What truly shocked me, however, was the terrible service. The employee/owner intruded into a private conversation I was having with friends as we entered, reacted rudely when I asked for pistachio (without realizing it was sold out—the label was still there), and later accused a friend of speaking too quietly (which wasn’t even the case). A polite request to repeat would have sufficed. Last but not least, he refused to serve frappè (despite it being on the menu) because it was close to closing time, and made other unpleasant remarks. I will definitely not be returning

The ice cream shop GELATERIA ORO is located in the cafe Al Leone at the Bahnhofstrasse station. It offers traditional gelati according to a secret recipe of an Italian ice-cream master. The price-performance ratio is impressive: compared to smaller portions elsewhere, here is not spared on fine ice cream.
When we thought we had the best gelato in Zermatt, then Gelateria Oro had proven us wrong. We had a scoop of pistachio & 2 scoops of strawberries & chocolate and the taste was like the staircase to heaven! They simply just wow & had lifted up our appetite for the dinner afterwards. They were creamy, milky & full of favour but not overly sweet. We didn't expect to be able to taste a gelato as good as this from a chained gelato shop in Zurich & they're not expensive too! We spent 14 days travelling across Switzerland & had a gelato almost once a day (except at St Moritz where there was no gelato shop), this is definitely the best gelato we ever had in Switzerland!!! Highly recommended!!!

Their raspberry sorbet is equally delightful, with a fruity yet creamy texture. Visitors often rave about driving long distances just to savor their delectable ice cream.
Very good, specialty ice cream. We went for dark chocolate, pomelo, and red berries and all of them were very tasty. I'd recommend this place any time, even though the price is quite steep... Even for Zurich standards. Parking is nigh impossible here, so better come on foot... As almost anywhere in Zurich.

The best cake shop in town (metaphor) You must visit it if you are in Zurich old town The only thing what makes the rating go low That prices are way too high..I have tried three kinds of cakes.1.black Forest.2.strawberry tart .3.hemsfair all of it were great Finally the coffee I ordered cappuccino it was great too..

I loved the hot chocolate! The food was great, and the atmosphere was fantastic. However, the service we experienced was disappointing. When we wanted to get the bill, I waved my hand, said ‘excuse me’ several times, and even kept my hand raised, but unfortunately, all my efforts were ignored. It seemed like the older waitress could see everyone else but us (Asian). It wasn’t until I made direct eye contact with her that she finally sent a young waitress over to assist, who was much friendlier compared to the older lady. What can I say, experienced enough for this kind of passive aggressive during the time in Switzerland.

This is specifically regarding the Schoggi Tram. If you have food allergies be extra careful and ask staff to double confirm what each item contains. It’s a lovely experience but today my daughter bit into a praline with peanuts that was incorrectly labeled. The staff is very busy on the tram and there’s lots of room for human error. (In this case the plastic insert containing the pralines was put in backwards in relation to the labels describing each chocolate). Luckily she spit it out and didn’t have a reaction. Staff was apologetic but I worry didn’t grasp how bad this could be for some with more severe allergies. I acknowledge that I should have been more assertive confirming, but also feel we should be able to trust labelling a business provides.

Picked this cafe for a drink + snack due to street side appeal and glad I did. Wide range of choices and the coffee is legit coming from an Aussie tourist (note- latte is just milk in Italian so make sure you order caffe latte if you are after coffee) . Lots of customers buy service was prompt and friendly. Payment can be made in cash or card.

I was there actually for the strawberry tart and a hot chocolate, and they just bring to the table the hot chocolate, never the strawberry, when I had to pay they charged me 14CHF just for the hot chocolate… I was in a hurry and I didn’t notice how much they charged me. But not very nice! Because I saw the carta when I ordered and that wasn’t the price. I don’t know if they did this because I’m not from here, but very disappointed.

Old fashion European style cafe and pastry shop. Food quality is good, price is not cheap, well their location is in the heart of old town, the store has to survive. Few of waitresses actually speak English, communication could be hard if you don't understand Dutch, German or Swiss.

It is not as good as some reviews are telling. It is an average coffee shop, cake shop, rather over-hyped and overpriced. The Schwarzwäldertorte (Black forest cake) basicly did not have any taste, pretty disappointing experience, especially for the high price.

Our group orders pizza from here for a lunch every week, and frankly I am not sure why we keep doing this to ourselves, the pizza is rather mediocre. Here, for 20+ CHF one gets a pizza with dry (sometimes burnt) crust taking like one quarter of the total pizza weight and frustratingy little toppings. If one is after a good pizza, choose NA081 or even Domino, it would still be better. P.S. I don't mean to be personal, I am just a little bit tired of highly overpriced eating out options in Zurich, and as they say it in London (albeit in a different context) "See it, say it, sorted"

We had ordered cupcakes for a family member's birthday. The cupcakes came without any stand (as shown in all pictures on their website) due to which the cakes had touched the walls of the box and even each other. For the price they are charging, the experience was rather disappointing and I will discourage folks from buying cupcakes for a special occasions from this store. PS: Attaching photos for reference. PPS: Maybe I wasn't clear. I didn't have an issue with the cupcake but with how the box was packed. It was ordered from Justeat.ch but the box is of your bakery and not eat.ch. You are responsible for the packaging. (The reply from the bakery is even more disappointing. It doesn't take much effort to ensure that the box is packed properly. But it's fine. The mistake was mine as a customer. I will definitely be careful next time. Regardless of who delivers, the smart sweet team needs to understand that it is their brand that gets a reputation, not the delivery person. And I can give you the order ID if that can help you verify if I am legit person)

The hot chocolate is the best I’ve tried my entire life! Right amount of sweetness and smoothness. It is worth the detour and to give a shot. Wonderful satellite store from the Lucerne chocolatiers, staff was super helpful with the seasonal chocolates and they are very conscious of all of their ingredients including no palm oil. Great place to take home some hand made chocolates from Switzerland that aren’t the main brands easily found globally.

Raffael's 1989 is a must-visit in Zurich, especially after the Zurich Festival. The ice cream flavors like chocolate, vanilla, mixed berries, and orange are described as impeccable with soft, silky textures and natural flavors. Visitors have praised it as the best they've ever had. The hot chocolate and crepes are also highly recommended. Customers appreciate the friendly service and reasonable prices compared to other places in Zurich.
It's true! Maybe the best chocolate and ice cream shop IN THE WORLD!!! 😍😍😍 They are also so nice and let me try whatever I wanted! Such a sweet place to visit. Can't wait to return! 💖💖💖 Also, super reasonable price wise compared to the rest of Zürich. Got this big handful of chocolate and a cute bag for under 20CHF 😁

Our last day at Zurich, dropped by this after the Zurich Festival. It's a big WOW! We tried chocolate, vanilla, mixed berries and orange. All are literally impeccable! Soft, silky but strong and natural flavors! I'm a big vanilla lover tried many brans thus far this is the best! And it's reasonably priced. In my 2-week travel in Swiss, had ice cream at different shops almost everyday, Raffael's is simply the best. I even bought 3 bottles of chocolate home cos I hadn't had enough. I give a 5 star.
Benny C — Google review
Absolutely the best ice cream in Zurich we had so far, and it seems like reasonable prices (for Zurich). SF19 for 2 ice creams and a small chocolate bag. The chocolate is also delicious.

Best ice cream in Zurich 😋 Very tasty and creamy. High quality & high prices :) Very enjoyable 💕
Yasemin K — Google review
We always come here for gelato when we’re in Bellevue area. It’s so creamy. Wonderful!! Servers are very pleasant and will ask if you want to sample the different flavors.

Hot Chocolate, Crepe's, Ice Cream - all excellent. First night my daughter and I stopped in for Hot Chocolate which was wonderful. It has ruined me to all other hot chocolate from this point forward. My husband said the coffee was excellent. While waiting for my hot chocolate, I watched them prepare beautiful crepes. We returned the following evening to have crepes for dinner, my son chose the ice cream. Upon sampling his ice cream, it was determined we would return again the next night, our final night in Zurich, to get ice cream. This was truly the most wonderful, smoothest ice cream I have ever had. The staff was super friendly, enjoyable to visit with and extremely helpful. The pricing was very reasonable.
STARLA T — Google review
Hot chocolate was as delicious as it could get, absolutely my top!
Anna K — Google review
Best gelato around! So creamy and so tasty. Honestly didn’t had such a good ice cream in a long time. The things that would be even more nice it’s offering also brioche not thrust the cone and cups, but this does not in any way affect the special taste that the ice cream here has! 💯💯💯

Ice cream shop
Nestled in the charming square, Gelati 1998 Niederdorf is a delightful ice cream shop that stands out for its innovative approach to flavors. This cozy spot not only serves up delicious scoops but also offers an exciting twist: patrons can enjoy a complimentary small scoop of another flavor on top of their chosen treat. The friendly service adds to the warm atmosphere, making it a perfect place to relax and savor unique combinations like melon and strawberry.
Happened onto this little gem, and it was fantastic!! Loved the little sample flavor on top! Definitely going back!
Gail C — Google review
It is one of the best ice creams in Zurich and a great and refreshing stop during a walk in Niederdorf.
Antonis T — Google review
Fantastic spot. A+ highly recommend. The sorbets are awesome, ended up choosing the Lemon Ginger one. What's great is that you get a tiny scoop of a second flavor on top! Whole family enjoyed.

Very yummy ice cream. Mango flavour is the best
Maya — Google review
Excellent. The flavours were natural and strong (I had blackcurrant, raspberry, and natural yoghurt, with a little 'biscuit taster') in a cone. The icecream didn't melt quickly even though it was 25°C, as it was properly frozen. The cone didn't get soggy either (and had a love taste too), so I could enjoy my icecream leisurely. Excellent and friendly service. I really cannot think of an improvement.
Rob N — Google review
I have been all over the world as a connoisseur of ice cream. The flavors here blew me away. Go with the blackberry yogurt, milk, and rum raisin. Or don't, you can't go wrong
Michael H — Google review
Best gelato in Zurich!!! Mini portions which makes it special. And they have amazing flavours, one must try the blackberry yoghurt
