Very mixed coming out of this. The ice cream was by far the best I’ve ever had but goodness are the prices rough. I understand the pricing being a small local place with small batch ice creams but $11 for a milkshake just for it to be that small was a difficult pill to swallow, quality aside. I tried the breakup cookie milkshake and had it not Been for the price I would have turned around and got another. My partner had the June Coffee milkshake with caramel, it was hands down the best coffee flavor ice cream I’ve had in my whole life. The inside environment was incredible sterile and felt like a hospital, this is all personal preference going forward but I cared in no way for the decoration, or lack thereof. I just didn’t feel like the sterile all white minimalist design suited an ice cream spot, especially one of this caliber. All in all I would and will go back I just hope in the course of finding their legs they can come down on the prices just a bit and maybe liven up the decor. I have high hopes and nothing but love for this place and their vision and I hope I can increase my rating in the future!!

LOVE the variety of ice cream here, so delish! One of my favorites is the Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and the Sammies are so good! I had the Honeysuckle Blackberry this time. RUN, it’s limited - you DO NOT want to miss this!

Who knew sweet corn flavored ice cream could be good? Our family stopped in while in Birmingham. We absolutely loved. Trying different unique flavors. The staff were so helpful. And everything tasted delicious!

I've seen mixed reviews about Jeni's Ice Cream, but here's my take. Jeni's offers unique flavors you won't find anywhere else, thanks to their mixologist magic! 😂 Once you find a flavor you love, it's bursting with taste and far from ordinary. After leaving Botella, I stopped by Jeni's for dessert and tried what I think was butter almond brittle ice cream. 🤔 You have to try this flavor—it's incredible! 💞 The waffle cones are so buttery and flavorful, you could eat them on their own. I wonder if you can buy just the cones? 🤔 If you haven't tried Jeni's yet, treat yourself. You won't be disappointed!👍💯

Excellent location. Excellent service. The most delicious ice cream. There was plenty of parking and the hours were clearly listed. Possibly not the best location if raining, but it had just passed so the seats that were under the overhang were a little damp but still plenty of seating. I would highly recommend visiting this location!

We come here all the time and the ice cream is FANTASTIC but every single employee here appears to hate their lives.. tonight there were 2 girls working and they were very unfriendly. No greetings, didn’t speak to us. The employees here always kill the experience :/

The ice cream was good. Some of their freezers were out so they didn’t have all the flavors available. I ordered in a waffle bowl apple strudel and raspberry cheesecake.

I always love chatting or joking with the people working there and they're always super patient with whoever is ordering. And...their servings are on point. The ice cream in this place is AWESOME. Easily my favorite ice cream place in both Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. Nothing else compares. Excellent quality, good prices, a nice place with a cute terrace right outside... if it's sunny outside, it's a great plan. Staff is also extremely friendly. I hiiiiiighly recommend the blueberry cheesecake ice cream, it is out of this world. Basically I can't come to this place enough. One of the happiest moments of my life :)

Never seen so many ice cream flavors in one setting. About 40 flavors I counted. You can’t decide then I understand but a perfect chance to try more than one. Highly recommend the pumpkin, banana cream pie, and the carrot cake. A triple threat indeed which knock you out in a sugar coma as I struggle to write this review. The scoops are more than enough for the monstrous cone they give you. Super thick waffle cones baked daily build to withstand the thick but smooth frozen treat called ice cream. Enjoy my foodie connoisseurs!

We had the Bear Claw, Cookies and Cream, and the Chocolate Almond. They were all sooooooo good! The price was great for the size of the scoops. The workers were kind, and they let us have free samples. I would 100% recommend this place!

Hmm this place was… fine. We were hoping to get some Jeni’s but we could not find the place, might have closed recently. So we went here instead. Don’t take my 3 stars as a bad sign, I just didn’t love the place but it also wasn’t negative in any way. The staff were nice and the ice cream was fine, just not my favorite. Not the most creative flavors - I counted at least 6 different chocolate combinations (can we do something else please?) and not many exciting or unusual options. I usually prefer places where the ice cream is a bit less creamy and more flavorful instead of sweet, but I know lots of people prefer the latter. If that’s you, you’ll like them, otherwise it’ll be fine and that’s about it. I don’t feel the need to come back, but that’s just my personal preference.

I’m honestly still shaking from our experience. My husband and I visited Creamery Ice Cream today because we’ve enjoyed it before—the location is convenient, and the ice cream is great. We ordered three different flavors, and I asked for a cup for the cashier that nicely responded yes. Instinctively, I reached for one. Then, from the front side inside the creamery, a young male employee approached and, in a rude and unprofessional tone, said: “Hey, next time don’t get it—ask for it.” There was no kindness or courtesy in his voice. If he had said it politely, I would have understood and respected the policy. I even turned to my husband to ask if it sounded rude, and he confirmed it did. To be fair, the cashier handled it well and kindly said, “Oh, I was about to mention it, but you were faster,” showing that it could have easily been communicated with basic manners. Still in shock, I told the young man I didn’t see any signs about not taking a cup. Trying to remain polite, I apologized. His response? “Next time I’ll make sure to be even more rude.” I was embarrassed, especially with everyone around us watching. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. I truly hate to give one-star reviews—I understand how much it can impact a business. But the owners need to make sure this never happens to anyone else again. Respect goes both ways, and if someone is that unhappy working there, they should not take it out on customers. Whether this young man is an employee or hopes to be an entrepreneur someday, he must learn that professionalism and respect are not optional. We came in happy, ready for a treat, and left disappointed and uncomfortable.

Great ice cream spot! They have lots of delicious flavor options. Inside is nice with a 70’s ice cream parlor feel. Plenty of options - shakes, Sundays, cones and cakes! Highly recommended!

Ice cream was great. Setting was exceptional. Staff person was kind and hard working. Only had one staff person. Wait was too long. Not worth returning. Pricing was high, especially for having to wait.

Person working there was very friendly and it was a very welcoming environment. It is all indoor seating but they have a fair amount of seats. There was a very decent variety of ice cream flavors also a good amount of toppings. Overall it was a very good ice cream place, considering since I've moved south it's been hard to find ice cream places besides Dairy Queen and Bruster's.

Good, rich, thick, traditional ice cream. I thoroughly enjoyed 2 scoops after a hike at Moss Rocks Preserve, even shared a small amount with my four-legged friend before she passed out in the backyard. Probably close to forty flavors for choosing your one(s).

Were from out of town and were craving ice cream, so we figured we'd give this place a try. So glad we did! Such a cute little shop. They were dead when we were arrived, but within minutes filled up and the three young men working jumped into gear. They were all incredibly friendly! Ice cream was great, I LOVE munchie madness! Highly recommend. We'll come back if ever we're out this way again.

We stopped here for dessert after having dinner at the Electric. It is definitely a Bluff Park favorite and I can see why. It was very clean and the ice cream choices made it difficult to decide. However, we arrived at 8:30 pm which I now realize was a mistake. After choosing our ice cream, paying, and finding a seat the staff politely informs us that they will be closing soon and we can enjoy our ice cream outside. The time was now 8:49 pm and we were fully aware they closed at 9 pm even without being told by the staff. In the future I know to show up earlier or in the event it is near their closing time another option is the Whole Scoop which is open until 10 pm.

No no no really bad service, they should come to Houston and we will show them how to treat a customer. The young guy should get some training in how to treat customers and not have them standing up eating the ice cream.

I'm from this area but I've lived in Texas for the last 13 years, and this place is LEGIT! With authentic Mexican snacks and nostalgic flare, down to what's being shown on the TVs, this place is such a fun place. It's got an old diner feel, but everything is clean and there are both modern and familiar childhood favorites on the menu. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Come check this place out!

You can't go wrong with anything you get from there. It's all handmade, reasonably priced and everyone was nice, they just didn't speak much English. While we were eating one employee brought us a NEW ice cream bowl that they will start serving. It was a Ferrero mache with rolled ice cream, chocolate drizzle, and cool whip. It was EXCELLENT. THANKS for your kindness and we will be back.

This was our first visit. They had a lot of selections of ice cream and popsicle. Unfortunately they didn't have the Vanilla popsicle, Banana Split or the Elote's that we wanted, but, we got other things instead. We'll be back sometime again.

Excellent ice cream pops Think steel city pops and add flavor. There are many flavor to choose, I had coffee. The man who works here introduced us to crazy Doritos for free. We really enjoyed our food. Lots of laughter and smiles.

This is the best elote I have ever had! I legitimately go once a week with my friends and we will get like 3 each it is so good. They also have great ice cream treats, churro's, fried plaintains, and lots of other desserts and snacks. One of my favorite places to go, all of the staff remember me and treat me very well, some of the best customer service I've ever had. 10 out of 10, will continue to go back.

So we came to this establishment because my daughter saw it on her TikTok. The videos did no justice to the actual store and what to expect while there. It’s very cute and very well managed by a great group of ladies and gentlemen. All members were kind, respectful and always with a smile. I got the cookies and cream milkshake not too much of a fan. My daughter got the colossal strawberry shake to which she enjoyed and the boo thang got cookies and cream ice cream in a cup. The cupcakes were simple vanilla, strawberry and red velvet. We’re always up for trying new places but I’m almost guaranteed this was just a one stop shop. Excuse the cupcakes they had a rough ride home

TikTok brought me here!! The cupcakes are absolutely delicious. The frosting is SO good. The location is in a great spot, and the bakery is so PRETTY and clean. Service was amazing. The cotton candy was my favorite. I recommend getting there when they open because they will get busy because they are that good!!!

I have been seeing this shop on Tiktok for some time and have finally made my way there. I picked an excellent day to go because they were serving one of their cupcakes that they only feature on Juneteenth and Thanksgiving! Today being Juneteenth, I was able to try the “Carlyn’s Soul Food” cupcake and man oh man was it AMAZING!!! It has a honey cornbread topped with candied yams and a piece of honey drizzled fried chicken!!! So moist and tasty! It was a whole meal in one cupcake. However… I still had my dessert! 😆 I had their red velvet brownie cupcake and it did not disappoint either! My son had the basic strawberry cupcake and really liked it. They also have ice creams and other delicious treats available. It’s located under the highway and is such a neat place to just relax and enjoy the food and sights. I hear it’s super cool looking at night with the LED lights! I am happy to support a black owned business, especially on this day. Keep rocking it, young lady! I’ll be back!

This was my first visit to K & J's, and I was not disappointed. The shop is beautiful and filled with a sweet aroma. With such a wide variety of cupcakes, it was hard to choose, but I decided on the Strawberry Shortcake Brownie—and it was absolutely delicious!

I’ve seen this place on my TikTok for a few weeks and knew we needed to stop here while on our trip to Birmingham. It was a little busy when we got there but they had a great system going. The service was amazing and everybody was super nice! The cupcakes were definitely worth the 4 hr drive and worth every penny. The sweet potato pie cupcake was my favorite! Will definitely be back next time we’re in town. :)

My girlfriend drove an hour and a half to take me here to test cake for my birthday! And yes, I will be ordering a cake! We tried four flavors and everyone was delicious! Personally, I’m a classic vanilla girl, but honestly, the strawberry cheesecake might be my new favorite! The cupcakes were soft and fresh. The place is small, but service is polite and quick. They also have seating available inside and outside . I will surely make plenty of visits back to K&J! This is a great black owned business to support! ❤️🤌🏾

This place was great! The variety of ice cream flavors to choose from was more than enough to find something to suit anyone's fancy. The prices are great as well . I had one scoop in a cup, and my son had two scoop cones, and it was a little over $7.00. Decor was beautiful as well.

Went into this random ice cream shop and was drawn in because of the “homemade ice cream sign.” This place is locally owned and the Hispanic woman who took our order was so sweet and helpful. This was by far the best mango ice cream I’ve ever had!

My first time trying Bendy’s Cookies & Cream was at an event my apartment hosted. I got cookies and cream ice cream & a chocolate chip cookie—it was DELICIOUS!!!! Thank you for coming out to treat us! It definitely cooled me off from the hot weather😎

I visited this cookie shop for the first time with my daughter and, unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We were the only African American customers there, and while the shop was busy, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. We were met with blank stares from both associates and other patrons—no greeting, no warmth, just discomfort. As a first-time customer, I hoped for a pleasant and inclusive environment, but instead, I felt out of place and overlooked. I truly believe all customers deserve to feel acknowledged and respected, regardless of background. I hope this feedback encourages more mindful customer service and a more welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

We always enjoy visiting Bendy’s—their ice cream is some of the best in Birmingham! However, we were disappointed on our last visit. We arrived at 8:15 on a Saturday night and were told milkshakes weren’t available because the machine had already been cleaned, even though the store doesn’t close until 9:30. Hopefully, they'll reconsider the policy of cleaning the machine an hour before closing.

One of my favorite dessert spots! If you are a snicker-doodle cookie fan like me, you should definitely check them out. They have the best version of them in my opinion. That's not to say that everything else isn't delish there too. Trust me I've tried it all! ;) And I've never been disappointed with what I've gotten. Plus the owners are some of the coolest people you'll meet. I highly recommend them to anyone who's in need of a sweet treat!

5 stars for the taste. The shop is very small, though. It was so crowded, and we were pushed all the way against the door, people standing outside the door as well after us. I have never had a better cookie and ice cream, though. Well worth it. Parking was scarce also. We had to wait for someone to walk out and stalk them to their vehicle to take theirs. Wish they could open a bigger store somewhere.

Stopped in to get a requested ice cream sandwich for my son’s birthday. I placed my order for one sandwich and asked for it “to go” and was told they only do that for online orders and it’s about an hour prep time. Literally would not place my one ice cream sandwich in a closed container so that I could transport it.

Every flavor we sampled was delicious and made it harder to decide what to get. I had the lemon blueberry cheesecake and banana pudding. The blood orange and peach Bellini were fantastic as well. May be tough to find, but worth going out of the way to get.

I had the lemon, lavender, honey, goat cheese Gelato and it was the best gelato I have had in my life. I was glad we got the gelato to go, or I would have ordered 5 more cups. 😂. I savored every bite! My husband got the Guinness favor and loved it. When I come back to AL, I have already saved this place so I can return. Service was great, location was clean, definitely recommend!

Outstanding representative of my go-to ice cream place. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the ice cream lived up to the brand's high standards (flavors change daily, as all ice cream is indeed made in house, and there are always a few seasonal specialties). Nice patio area out front to eat at, as well, including a lovely fenced-in sitting garden.

The go-to spot to grab ice cream in Vestavia! I love their milkshakes. I'm a huge Reese's fan & enjoy how creative I can get with them and peanut butter! They do get busy at times, and sometimes when I go when they are busy I will notice the portion size will look a bit lower then when I go when they aren't as busy.

The young lady who took our order, over the speaker, was very nice, patient and efficient. I asked her to check my rewards status and if I had anything that might apply, via my phone number, and she cheerfully did so. Great place to go for real ice cream on a warm day! You can go through the drive through or sit on a bench under the trees in the shade! I had Death By Chocolate in a waffle cone and my grandson had a cup of vanilla! The employees are very helpful. She offered me a sample before I ordered. Pleasant and clean and conveniently located on The Montgomery Highway.

Everything here is delicious! The flavors are fun and creative (all fresh and hand made!!) And the prices are reasonable enough to get to treat your whole family. The folks who run the place are adorable and a wonderful part of Homewood. So happy we have this amazing little shop.

This place is great! The ice cream is wonderful and they always have unique flavors to try. If you get lucky, you can catch them on a day when they make beignets! They also have soups on the weekend that are perfect when it gets colder.

The team who works there are like neighbors/friends. So great! I love that they're across the street from the park, that they have a little porch with a swing to hang out on, and that they use fresh/real ingredients and often have fun or unusual flavors. Huge fan of this place. I'll forever love the lemon ice. SO GOOD. Would love to see an avocado one ;) Hehe.

Great ice and gelato! I love the story behind this place. They're always kind and have great flavors. I prefer this place over YOMO and it's more personable. They've expanded to sell beignets and gumbo on Saturdays this year too! Just be prepared for a little madness in the shop on Saturdays. You can almost bet they'll be setup away any festival in the city too so look out for the mobile unit also!

A wonderful neighborhood frozen treat. They have many unique Italian ice flavors plus other pastries. Friendly and a great front porch to sit on with your family. We will be coming back often.

My 5 stars are only for the employee that was working by herself on 4/22/23. The line was long and we waited for almost 45 mins just to get the order placed. Her attitude was pleasant the whole time. She didn’t allow the pressure of being extremely short staffed alter her friendly attitude towards the customers. Many may ask why I stayed in line so long. During that time I had great conversations with the other customers waiting. It was the cheapest meet and greet I’ve ever attended. As for management, good employees are hard to find please keep the staffing appropriate on Prime days for customers and your staff. We all joked about wanting to get behind the counter and glove up to help her. I did fix up the staging of the cotton candy on the counter where the little kids were waiting and messed the display up.

The Spun Cow is a treat. They have a variety of sweets to cure your cravings. I opted for a warmed up cinnamon roll, for which I was told are BAKE DAILY. I added strawberry sauce to mine…just because. The gentleman who helped me was friendly, courteous and very welcoming.

The milkshake was delicious and the young lady who made it was a shining star amid what would have been a very bad experience. She's a beautiful soul and even placed the additional tip I gave especially to her in the collective tip jar. However, when you pay $9 plus tip for a 9oz milkshake you expect the previously happy and talkative young man ringing you up to at least pretend he went to customer service orientation, especially as I was the only customer. Still, he is a hard worker and was wiping down the counter after ringing me up. He returned to his happy and talkative self once I began to walk away. I'm just very conflicted about the entire encounter. I think he was just having a bad day.

Steel City Pops is a great, refreshing treat on a warm summer day. The vanilla bean and coconut are my favorites. My hubby like the Arnold Palmer. There is something for every pallet. Be sure to check them out.

I got the coconut with caramel drizzle and Graham crackers crumbs. Husband got the strawberry and creme with white chocolate drizzle and toasted coconut. Was delicious! A bit pricy but great refreshing treat.

Delicious cold pops with some nice flavors. Be sure to ask for a sample if you're undecided. Strawberry Shortcake and Hibiscus were good. Looking forward to SCP perhaps trying some ambitious combinations like coconut-lime or Mexican hot chocolate.

Delicious popsicles with many different flavor and topping options! I brought my entire mission team tonight and received great service! Kate was the only person on shift, and she handled our entire crew efficiently and with such kindness! She made our experience even better! Highly recommend.

Love, love, love this place. I've never had a bad one. But if you do they'll give you another one. Shared Strawberry Lemonade with my 7 yr old granddaughter tonight and we both agreed it's a great summer flavor. 2 thumbs up!

Steel City Pops is one of the MUST DO places when we visit Birmingham! No other "gourmet" popsicle place can compare. You can taste the quality ingredients! Their dedication to creating small batches, using the best and freshest ingredients really shines through. I can honestly say I've enjoyed every flavor I've ever had, including Pine! You have to check out Christmas flavors! They rotate, so there's no telling if you'll get wassail, gingerbread, eggnog, peppermint, Apple cinnamon, pomegranate, or any of the many other holiday flavors! Don't worry, they'll have many of the tried and true faves there as well, like buttermilk, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry lemonade, and many more. There's something for everyone, as long as you like frozen sweet treats!

I quite enjoyed this place, but just had one issue. The staff were nice but there was only 2 for the entire restaurant, which was quite empty on a Thursday night. You are served a thing of tortilla chips and a spicy salsa. I had a steak with white rice, over easy egg and guacamole. I loved the guacamole, it was seasoned perfectly and creamy. The over easy egg was done perfectly and the white rice was great! The steak could have been really good but I asked for medium and it was well done, so it was tough, the flavors were good though. The paella valanceaga was pretty good! It's not a typical paella but a rice made and then added in meat like shrimp, squid, octopus, green mussels, and sausage. The rice had some spiciness to it that reminded me of a seafood seasoning, overall it was quite delicious! As for the drinks I had the lime frozen margarita and it was delicous! I definitely recommend trying this place out if you want to try some more of the authentic Latino and Peruvian dishes.

A delight all around!!! I have wanted to try some Peruvian dishes and was not disappointed! Really liked the arroz chaufa especial and the Peruvian tamale. My husband loved his pollo ala brasa and empanada. The pollo ala brasa was super smokey flavored and the chaufa was super garlicky! Everything was delicious and we can’t wait to come back and try more dishes from the menu!

The food here has a very good taste and amount of seasoning is just right. I usually get there Mexican side speedy Gonzales , but this is also a Peruvian restaurant and in that that means that they have Pisco, which is a type of liquor that is very good in a margarita or a pisco sour, I always ask for Ishmyel, a very large open space not quite so intimate if you don’t like a lot of noise, but I go there for the food because the price is excellent for what you get you get a very good value for your money on lunch

Family favorite since they opened almost 30 years ago. Great food with a South American flare. Sadly, I liked the hole in the wall feel, before they remodeled. Nice job though. Best salsa in town with light crispy tortilla chips! We'll see you next week!

The food was very enjoyable and tasted authentically Peruvian. My family is from Bolivia (near Peru) and the food hit close to home. We were greeted and attended to with care. I have no complaints; This is what a great restaurant experience should be like.

Girls working and they were really nice but when I got up to pay, they don’t do tap pay the owner needs to get up with the times because hardly anyone carries their cards with them anymore. I walked all the way from the hotel didn’t have my wallet which I never bring with me anyway I was gonna have to walk all the way back to get a physical card, but the nice lady at the store said it was OK and she took care of it. If only they had tap pay like every other business has to today. The owner at least has one good gone thing going for him. The employees are really nice.

Ice cream is good, staff attitudes are terrible and they’re always out of the chocolate dipped waffle bowls. Not sure who or where the manager is, but they should definitely be in here to help out with this mess. Line is extremely long, it’s a Saturday, 3 people are here and the first two were doing the bare minimum, a ton of eye rolling and sighing. Went up to place my order and one of the guys hair is hanging too low, he has a huge booger in his nose (the main reason I left) and he just looks unkempt. The waffle batter is sitting out at room temperature but I’m sure they’re still going to use it to make the waffle bowls. I hate this is the only cold stone around. Please hire better employees.

This is the slowest ice cream shop I’ve ever been to. There was 4 people in line and it took 30 minutes to get a scoop of ice cream. I thought Trussville had more class than this. The bathrooms are unsanitary and the workers are working without gloves. Can we get an inspection and some management in here?

You should definitely check them out. There are not too many freshly made ice cream locations around Birmingham.

First time trying this as travelers to the area, and terrible customer service! Had attitudes for no reason. I was trying to get an understanding of the prices, and they rolled their and sighed at me like I was an issue. And nobody wanted to be there. Ice cream was good though.

Waited 30 minutes to place an order while the two workers made door dash orders in front of me. FYI for those in any kind of hurry. Hard to complain much as this is only cold stone left. I

Wow!! I visited 05/06/22 and I am SO happy! The female at the window was so friendly. I decided to try the cream puffs, cookies and cream and the creamy mango. Everything was great but the creamy mango was my favorite 😍...5 stars@!!

Where to start... My husband and I arrived after 9:00, and no hours were posted so we asked if they were about to close and the kind lady welcomed us in. I assume she and the gentleman in the back were the owners. We browsed the selection and decided on the strawberry pop, the cookies and cream pop, and a cup of coffee. There is a pastry case with a lot of different options ranging from cheesecake to chocolate cupcakes to baklava. She cut open our pops for us and we had a seat in the comfortable leather chairs. The atmosphere is very clean and cozy. She brought his fresh coffee out in a cute little teacup on a matching saucer. She brought out the pitcher of creamer and a caddy of sweeteners. He commented to me that he felt like he was at a grandmother's home instead of a Popsicle shop. The coffee was fresh and delicious, which says a lot about the quality since he is picky about his coffee. His cookies and cream pop had full size Oreos in it! It was delicious. My strawberry pop was the best I've ever had. She checked on us to ask if we needed anything and to see if he wanted more coffee. She was such a pleasant and genuinely kind lady, and we look forward to going back! Excellent ending to our date night.

A gentleman fro. Our chirch treats the kids to these pops at the end of our vbs. It is always a big hit. I really like the buttermilk and the coconut, but I haven't had a flavor I dislike. The owner is one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Boyfriend and I were looking for an ice cream shop and found this place. Tried the kulfi and peaches & cream popsicles - delicious! The other food and desserts looks nice too. Will definitely be going back.

I was craving something sweet on a 100 degree day. I ordered the Key Lime Sorbet and Root Beer Italian Ice. I'd imagine there are even better flavors, but these were both 10/10 in my book. Less expensive than any of the ice cream chains around town too.

Delicious, affordable, and awesome customer service! I purchased the cotton candy Italian Ice & it was better than a snow-cone. They had several options. This was my first time trying them, and it exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely return and recommend this place to anyone.

I have seen this place many times but never stopped to get anything from here. I finally decided to give it a shot, and It was amazing. When I walked up, the staff working there was incredibly friendly and offered me as many different samples as I would like to try before I committed to anything. They have a ton of flavors so there is bound to be a flavor perfect for everyone who visits. The Italian Ice here is full of flavor and delicious! I'd recommend the peanut butter cup, or the pina coloda personally.

I work in walking distance from this lovely little shop. When I 1st discovered it I said to myself I would try every flavor of sorbet they had...my 3rd time going I tried the key lime and that's been my flavor for 2.5 years now. They will sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on it if you like!!! They are generous with samples, have a few tables with umbrellas for those hot days, a few benches and a huge grassy lawn for the kiddos to run and play while the parents catch up!!

So I had a weird experience here today. So this Location is placed at the end of a strip mall & they have a drive thru. Which I think is a great business idea. However, sometimes the drive thru line can move very slow because they’re focusing on their customers inside. Which I completely get & understand. I’m pretty patient for the most part. It was one girl trying to make it work. But, several times I saw her completing customers orders & she didn’t even bother to just acknowledge me & say “Hello I’ll be with you shortly” instead she just kept helping all the customers in line. A car behind me got livid & drive off. Then I finally realized maybe after 15 mins she’s literally ignoring me. I even beeped (not to be rude) but to ask if I needed to go inside instead. I drive off & I went inside.. I was going to address the situation or simply ask “are we no longer doing drive thru orders?” But I realized it was a young girl! So it just didn’t sit right with me to say anything.I choose to ignore it. But her aura and vibe was off. The way she handled me…compared to the other ppl I watched her serve…. just didn’t sit right with me. Paying $17 plus tip for a frozen yogurt. There needs to be a certain level of customer service.

Really disappointing they won’t let you serve yourself here. Just a heads up if you like DIY frozen yogurt you might want to consider going somewhere else. Sweet Frog has way more yogurt flavors and toppings, and you can do everything yourself. For those in a hurry they do have a drive thru.

TCBY in Merchants Walk in Homewood is the place to go for a celebration, a treat for my grandson or daughter or for frozen yogurt after a school event! I have been going here for years; John, the owner, knows the families that frequent his store. His staff is helpful, pleasant, and can create artistic treats. My favorite thing about this TCBY is the drive thru window! Of course, you can eat inside or on the patio; I choose to take mine home! It is located at the end of the Red Mountain Expressway. A night ride for TCBY will help anyone overcome a disappointment!

I hadn't had TCBY in probably 16 years. Just as I remember! I love the soft-serve flavors & multitude of toppings options. Easy walk from Soho area hotel. Staff were pleasant & happy to help! Indoor & outdoor seating options.

TCBY's fat free, sugar free, soft serve yogurt option is a Godsend for me in my healthy lifestyle weight loss journey. About once every 6 or 7 weeks I get their regular sized fat free, sugar free vanilla or butter pecan (whichever is available), and it does not cause weight gain, nor prevent weight loss. Having this delightful treat every now and then helps me to stay on track. I am so thankful to have this option available to me.

$7 for a small vanilla cup with sprinkles. Not worth it.

They have a pickle dilly, I do not recommend this flavor unless you are a pickle addict. The strawberry cheesecake with cream is wonderful. The sour watermelon is not that sour but good. Great little place to take the family after a game.

My kiddos love this spot! Everything from their shaved ice to funnel cakes, burgers & everything in between is awesome! This spot stays busy any time they're open & is guaranteed to have a line throughout the parking lot. The only thing that could make Sno Daze better is shorter wait times, more parking & more outdoor seating options.

My new place to get snow cones! They have so many flavors and can mix them at no additional charge. I highly suggest adding the condensed milk to your snow cone; it was mind blowing! They also have shakes, ice cream and other treats. The staff is super friendly and the prices are more than reasonable. They'll be getting my $$ all summer!

This was the most fun birthday party to date. It was so so so easy and each kid had a blast! My five year old was in heaven!!! The owner and team went over and beyond to make it such a pleasant experience. The service was fast and efficient. I could go on and on! PLEASE go find this place and go support them! You will be SO SO glad you did. Oh, and the ice cream is DELICIOUS!!!

Awesome!! So many choices and they are very helpful when you are trying to decide- so many options!!The owner is still working on the seating area- decorating and getting the TV's working- has added a scoop ice cream selection and will be adding a milk shake machine in October. The owner- a very nice young man from Vestavia- has worked very hard to get his store open while investing his own money- I hope the people of Vestavia, Hoover and surrounding areas support this new business.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! Super close to the schools and are a great after school snack. Prices are so reasinable. The ice cream is Heavenly. I recommend the brownie with chocolate chips and chocolate sauce. And finealy, the guys are so nice. Can't wait until the next time.

Amazing ownership, amazing flavors, amazing atmosphere and most importantly amazing toppings!!! Staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The ice cream does not take long to be prepared and the taste is like no other. 10/10 would recommend. If you think rolled ice cream tastes like any other ice cream you're wrong, the texture is very unique. If you still want regular ice cream they also have a wide variety of flavors there.

Friendly staff. Clean area. Couldn't stop eating it getting to my destination. Fries are well seasoned and have crunch. Seasoned shrimp takes me back to Nawlins!!! Great food, only thing i would add is bigger hushpuppies and make your own tarter sauce with your skills for seasoning! Awesome!

There was no line. Food came out fast. I'm from New Orleans and was disappointed in the Peaux Boy. The shrimp was fine but it came with cherry tomatoes on very small bread. I can only assume it was a Pistolette and not a French Loaf. The sides were old. And my snowball came out after my meal. It was also a very odd texture. Somewhere between shaved ice and the snow of home. If you are a LA native this may not be the authentic experience you're looking for.

Me and some friends was on a trip to Alabama for the weekend found this wonderful food hall with all kinds of different foods. As we walked and looked around at all the different foods Nola stood out! The 2 young men that were in there was the best they guided me and my friend through things I had the shrimp box and my friend had the fish box and wings. Everything thing was beyond delicious and the sauce OMG yall look it up and place your orders my 2 bottles are on the way.

We came in around noon and there was no line. We ordered the parkway with catfish and shrimp with a double side of Cajun fries. I appreciate that the seafood was fried fresh and did not mind a short wait for my food. It was enough for us to share (we had just split an order of lumpia elsewhere). The catfish and shrimp were perfectly seasoned and fried just right. The bread was soft and fresh, it reminded me of what I had in New Orleans. We put remoulade on one half and spicy mayo on the other….I preferred the remoulade. Grab some it’s only .50. My only issue was the fries. We ordered double fries which wasn’t much at all. They were salty and kinda cool/room temp. Some are fried a bit harder which makes them slightly easier to consume but I would have preferred that fresh fries be dropped with our order. They were kept in a bowl under a heat lamp. I could have asked for fresh fries but I didn’t want to wait as a few ppl came and ordered after us. If I could give 4.5 stars instead of 4 I would because the Po’ boy was on point but I love fries and I’m offended when I don’t get fresh lol. I look forward to trying other options.

2/5 ⭐️ Fried Catfish, Red Beans and Rice, Cajun Corn Platter I been wanting to try this place for a while. Love Cajun and New Orleans influence food. Everytime I entered Pizitz and tried to grab something, it would always be closed. This one evening, however, it happened to be open. I was debating between the sandwiches but decided to go with this combo platter that included Red Beans and Rice, Cajun Corn, and Fried Catfish that I had to pay +$1 extra for. Wait was not bad at all, but have to consider the food hall was not busy either. The total came out to around $19. That is quite hefty but no issues considering a lot of food in Pizitz is overpriced. What matters is the taste and experience you’re getting. As soon as I had my food handed to me, the box was light. I could have swore they just handed me a box with just 3 beans and some rice in it. Maybe something was missing, I thought. I sat down and opened the box and saw a little white styrofoam cup, dead looking white rice and beans, along with the catfish. Now if I am paying almost $20 for a meal, I want it to be a hefty meal in the box at least, not something that looks like the hospital cafeteria at 12 am. Again I was optimistic, as I was not going to judge the appearance of the plate that was handed to me. Now the Cajun Corn, was really hot, kind of that over-microwaved hot and the color of the corn told me it was old, maybe yesterday morning old. The corn itself was very salty, just leaving no Cajun flavor to be tasted. The Red Beans and Rice themselves looked dry and the rice especially just looking dead before it even reached the plate it seemed. Flavor again was more salty than anything, tasting a little like dish soap, and that over-microwaved temperature on them. The Catfish did seem to be the best thing of this experience, as it was fried good and the flavor was decent on it. Not the best; not the worst; but decent. Overall, I have nothing against the customer service, this business or anything. I did not read any reviews or look at any pictures before eating at this establishment, as I always give my full honest reviews without any prior judgement of others before entering any food place or restaurant. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but still, close to $20, it should be much better appearance wise, taste wise, and over quality and quantity wise. I will always be open for trying this place again as I am speaking from my personal experience, and maybe next time ordering the Peaux Boys, but as of now, unfortunately this is ranked on the lower scale of restaurants in Birmingham, for me personally.

Please verify your food when ordering from here. This is the second time I have ordered a large Snow Cone, and they give me a small. I ask to get what I order, show them the receipt, and they made a big deal over it, so I just left. Be careful

Drove all the way from Pelham yesterday just for a roast beef po-boy, which they have on their online menu. Being from NOLA, you can not get those here or a decent snoball, so we were excited. We both asked for the RB beef PB and were told very nonchalantly, "we don't have that". Not an, "I'm sorry, we're out, or "I'm sorry, we don't serve that anymore". Just a very unapologetic "we don't have that". Were they out of the ingredients or they don't serve them anymore?? If it's the latter, then why is it on your menu on your website. Being very disappointed, we walked away and walked around the food court, as this was our first time there. We went back to the window and asked for snowballs, and then we were told they had no ice to make snowballs. Really?? You have a snowball business, yet have no ice??!! This was 1:00 PM and they are open until 8:00. How can you have no ice?? Needless to say, we will not be back....ever!! They would have had a repeat customer in us. First impressions are everything.

This place takes a while, but that's the nature of their unique way of serving ice cream. The ice cream was good, just not anything that stands out as far as flavor. But it's a very convenient location attached to Let's Play. My son was very pleased with all the toppings they offered. Service was friendly, and it was fun watching them freeze the ice cream with the liquid nitrogen.

Oh my! Such a fabulous place to get ice cream! Servers do a wonderful and helpful job explaining the "art" of building their products! Very family oriented! Kind of pricey, but we printed coupons from their web site, which helped tremendously! We will definitely be going back!

I live this place! Really nice people that make some really awesome yummy frozen treats. We've only been twice but both times we thoroughly enjoyed it. So much watching them make your ice cream right in front of your eyes.

Pretty darn clean. Wasn’t crowded. We tried dragons breath and it was crazy. Lol and they have a nice staff too. The ice cream is freaking delicious also. Tastes very fresh and creamy.

They are completely understaffed. I went in with two other people and ordered two ice creams total and it took over 45 minutes for them to even get near finishing my ice cream. I asked for a refund and left with no ice cream. Terrible experience. I will not be returning.

The ice cream is good. The staff is incompetent. It's as if they are moving in slow motion. We've been to similar rolled ice cream shops before and we understand that it takes awhile, but this is ridiculous. Be prepared to wait.

Such a great and fun little shop. My nieces from Calif. Actually found this for us to try. Why is it that out of towners find new places that locals never heard of. They use 2 different kind of base creams. We had the traditional and they add any flavor or fruit you want. The staff are young and very helpful. Great guides for those in the group who have not had the pleasure of creating rolled ice cream. Definitely recommend.

I got lavender ice cream for the first time there and it was really good! I like the different way to serve it all rolled up. They have board games too! The customer service isn’t the greatest, they’re mostly teens. Saw some behavior that was unprofessional hence the 4 stars. But the ice cream is good, definitely try it out!

Service was friendly and watching them make the ice cream is a blast. The milk tea is good and I liked the topping options. The ice cream on the other hand, bland. I got the mucho matcha and my boyfriend got the cookies and cream. Mine had very little flavor - even with the juice poppers. The cookies and cream was straight chocolate syrup. Didn't have any cookie flavor to it at all. Fun experience but don't expect fantastic ice-cream.

I had an unusually bad experience at Jeremiah’s today. We love going there and have been very satisfied in the past, but today they were out of ice cream and only informed me of that after I placed my order for a Frog Squad Favorite and paid. The worker offered me an Italian ice of the same size but did not offer a refund for my whole order or even for the price difference between my original order and the plain Italian ice. I don’t like plain Italian ice so both the experience and product were disappointing.

Not our first time here and definitely will not be our last! The employees are nice and helpful! They are very patient as well when you cannot decide what flavor you want due to the many choices available and happy to offer samples. I am a huge fan of their cookie crumbles layer. It's good with anything! I will say my favorite is still their seasonal flavor of pumpkin, and I am VERY happy to say it is now back!! With the cookie crumbles layer, it tastes just like pumpkin pie, but better! Also, they offer pup cups!

Reasonably priced, delicious treats! The restaurant is brightly decorated, tables and restrooms really clean. The gelatis were delicious. The Oreo frappe with Oreo mocha Italian ice and soft serve ice cream was good. The Oreo mocha had a good coffee flavor. We also did a make your own and one just the Italian ice. The prices were really good for the serving size. The sizes in the photo are small and medium. The employees were friendly and very helpful answering all of our questions.

I absolutely love this place and so glad I chose Jeremiah’s for my son birthday dessert. The service is amazing the menu is great everything was amazing atmosphere is so peaceful and serene.. I can not wait to my next trip most importantly my family definitely enjoyed

Love this place! Never had gelati or Italian ice before so when the wife suggested we try this for date day I was open to trying. Very much surprised at the flavor and texture and the price! Great stop, great treat for a date or family.

We are new to the community and had a wonderful first experience at Neighbors yesterday! Our children have allergies and it can sometimes be quite the challenge to find treats that they are able to enjoy. The manager, April, warmly greeted us, welcomed us to the community, and thoroughly explained the vegan offerings and ingredients in stock. The shop also had a really good food truck on its property ( Satay N' Roll Sushi) and nice 80s vibes going with the music. The shop's location is also excellent as it is firectly across from Patriot Park and near several other restaurants and shops. I foresee making many more memories at this ice cream shop and highly recommend them.

Stopped by Saturday during Streetfest with my two girls. They got cotton candy and Superman and I had cookies and cream. All 3 were delicious! They staff was super friendly, despite it being very busy and it felt great supporting a business that is locally owned. We will be back soon!

All I can say is wow. Great customer service the young lady was friendly and knowledgeable, the ice cream was awesome and the wait time was minimal. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend a visit to this wonderful ice cream shop.

Very nice people. There are a bit of homeless sadly, but they don't bother you when walking through Downtown. The architecture is very interesting.

Downtown Birmingham has many places of interest. Parka, restaurants and urban trails. There’s plenty of public parking or ride share, then walking is the best way to get around. Y’all come visit!

Downtown Birmingham is changing and yet there remains the feel of being Downtown, from Gus hot dogs to Jeans Galore...

I think this is my favorite place in Birmingham! The sweetest concept and the cutest spot with delicious ice cream. Supporting an amazing cause too. Also, the best customer service and I love all the art everyone did inside.

Delicious ice cream and super service! The Unless U students really knew there stuff and gave us recommendations on their favorite flavors. Lots of seating inside and a huge patio outside.

Unless U Scoops is providing excellent job training in a fun atmosphere. The skills acquired by the students will carry over too other jobs, and help to make them productive and independent. Oh, yeh, and the ice cream is DELICIOUS!

Worse service, I've ever experienced! This was my first time coming to Sweet Tooth and i will NEVER be back. Customer service was a negative 100 and moral of employees was lower than low.
