Top Paddock Cafe is a bright and spacious Australian cafe located in Richmond. It offers specialty coffee and creative breakfast options, with a focus on using fresh local produce. The menu changes with the seasons and features dishes like Eggs Benedict, slow-cooked Beef Brisket Roll, and Buttermilk Waffles. The cafe also serves gourmet sandwiches, pastries, cakes for takeaway, signature cocktails, and custom Darling Blend coffee.
My recent visit to Top Paddock cafe was an absolute delight! The food was simply outstanding. I can't stop thinking about the brioche and mushroom truffle croissants, they were honestly the best I've ever had. Every bite was a perfect combination of flaky pastry and rich, savory filling. The coffee was expertly made, and the fresh juice was the perfect complement to the meal. Beyond the incredible food and drinks, the atmosphere was wonderful. It's clear why this place is so popular. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly amazing brunch experience. I will definitely be back!

Such a beautiful cafe in Church St Richmond, great location, with a cool vibe. It’s quite a big cafe with lots of indoor & outdoor seating, the service was good, however the space being so big was very noisy. The coffee was perfect & our meals I also couldn’t fault, poached eggs perfectly cooked & my mushroom dish was deliciously packed with flavour & texture, as was my husband’s salmon / gnocchi dish ~ highly recommend both dishes. My only complaint, there was a terrible sewer smell lurking in the cafe & the bathrooms could do with a good clean around the vanity area, the mould build up was gross 🤢 as was the non working gurgling toilet. Also, the beautiful peace lily plants are in desperate need of a drink 🪴 🚿 😔 Apart from those minor hiccups, definitely worth the visit - hopefully the mould is gone next time we visit 😊 I took one star off purely for the bathrooms hygiene.

Had a lovely brunch at Top Paddock with my loved one. It was such a warm and vibrant spot! The Rhubarb & Custard French toast was the star of the morning. It just melts in your mouth, perfectly soft with a beautifully balanced sweetness and a nice crunch from the toppings. Absolutely worth recommending! The greens with poached egg and croutons were fresh & light . A great way to balance the meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys quality brunch, cozy vibes, and food that’s plated as beautifully as it tastes. ☕🍞🥗✨

The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Overall, Top Paddock Cafe is a gem in Melbourne

Eggs benny is my personal favourite. Great coffee. Awesome looking place. Can get busy so I recommend booking. Nice outdoor area too if you don't like a lot of inside noise.

For a very long time I wanted to visit this place ! I had high hopes for this café after seeing all the glowing reviews, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t quite live up to the hype. The place has a nice atmosphere and looks inviting from the outside, but the service and food left a lot to be desired. We waited quite a while to be acknowledged, even though the café wasn’t particularly busy. When our order finally arrived, it was either missing small details or lacked the freshness and flavour I expected from such a highly rated spot. The staff didn’t seem very attentive or engaged, which added to the underwhelming experience. We ordered Chilli scramble and French toast !! Chilli scramble no flavour at all so as the French toast look like anything but French toast or atlas the French toast I know !! Coffe ok but on warm side !!! It’s possible I caught them on an off day, and I can see why people enjoy the setting, but for me, the food and service just didn’t meet the expectations set by the reviews. Hopefully, it was just a one-off. Another visit to make a final decision!!

Terror Twilight, located just off Smith Street in Collingwood, is a popular cafe known for its sleek and relaxed atmosphere. The cafe offers a rotating range of records playing overhead and the option of booth seating, making it an ideal spot for deep conversations over delicious brew options. Formerly serving roasts from Wide Open Coffee Brewers, Terror Twilight now roasts its own signature blends, offering dining mug-filled batch brews as well as single-origin and blend options with various milk varieties.
Loved their new pancakes with thyme, salted popcorn and apple…adventurous yet so familiar and comfortable flavors for this winter. The coffee were amazing too. Would recommend better a long black rather than the magic just to taste better the coffee bean.

Delicious food and coffee, so good we ate here a couple of times haha. Cant go wrong with this place. The portions are generous and everything was scrumptious. Service was fast and attentive. They also open early on weekends which was great!

I visited this café today and loved the vibe such a lovely place to chill with friends. I ordered the chai orange, which was really good, but what stood out the most was our wonderful staff, Laura. She was so attentive, gave us the warmest service, and recommended special drinks that turned out to be fabulous. Thank you for making the experience extra memorable!
Yoki M — Google review
Really nice cafe, highly recommend the spicy green eggs. The front window is perfect for people watching and it has a nice atmosphere. I also picked up their white nectarine, peach and vanilla jam and it is so yummy.

Stepping into Terror Twilght on a wet, bustling Saturday felt like entering a delightful whirlwind, but thankfully, Laura was there to greet us! Despite the flurry of activity and a short wait (which, honestly, just built the anticipation), Laura didn't just take my name, she ingrained it. By the time we left, she not only remembered mine but charmingly extracted my wife's name too – a feat of memory sharper than my morning espresso! The cocktails were so delightful, they practically serenaded us, and the food was so absolutely delicious and generously portioned, we might still be recovering from a happy food coma. Despite the lively atmosphere, service was lightning-fast, leaving us with zero complaints and fully satisfied bellies. We absolutely enjoyed every minute here which has left us eager to return and explore more of that irresistible menu.

A Collingwood fave! The nod to Pavement lured us in all those years ago and we have been back every time we hit Melbourne. Lovely sunlit space, vinyl records, great coffee, with an interesting, ever-changing menu. Special mention to the next level pancakes, of which there have been many incarnations, but these sweet potato & toffee apple compote with chantilly cream might just top ‘em all. Breakfast cocktails available too!
Deb D — Google review
We were staying just down the road on a business trip and stopped in for breakfast. Food was great, loved the music on a turntable, coffee was great and the cups were awesome. So good we came back the next day and our waitress remembered us! The service from GG was fast, polite and efficient - she knew her stuff! Overall, loved the experience dining here. Will be back on the next trip!

Grain Store is a charming eatery located in the bustling Central Business District of Melbourne. The interior exudes a cozy, country-cottage vibe with its industrial looks and homey atmosphere. Embracing the farm-to-town concept, the restaurant offers a seasonal menu featuring delightful dishes such as bircher muesli topped with fresh local fruits and ricotta pancakes served with caramelized bananas. Additionally, Grain Store prioritizes sustainability by utilizing organic food delivery services to minimize food miles.
The food didn’t exactly blow my mind, but it was pretty good the chili scrambled eggs were tasty, just not life changing. What really stood out was the beautiful presentation and the cozy vibe. Be ready to wait though ,I queued for about 30 minutes, watching the line like it was the hottest club in town. 😄 But hey, the warm service and relaxed atmosphere made up for it. Latte was smooth, vibes were nice, just don’t expect your taste buds to see fireworks. Worth a try if you’re in the area!
Alfred Y — Google review
Head to the Grain Store for a not-so-usual breakfast. An Asian twist on some of the menu items is a welcome change to the standard egg offering. If anything, they can probably afford to take one thing off the plate for the more elaborate dishes. Coffee is reliably good and the cafe has a lovely, warm casual feel. Get the side of mushrooms because they’re magically moreish.
Kate — Google review
The foods are delicious! The portion is normal size. I love the spices in the scramble eggs and the curry leaf adds so much flavor to it. The place is very crowded, would recommend making reservations. Perhaps the store is used to high volume turnover, even during less peak hours, the waitresses are cleaning the plates and cups super quick. It is definitely a cafe that just in and out quick.
Sherin W — Google review
The cafe had a warm and modern interior, but surprisingly, the atmosphere felt a bit chilly. We walked in hoping for a simple breakfast—just coffee and a Danish. However, when we placed our modest order, a staff member directed us to a separate table, away from the more comfortable seating inside. It seemed those inner tables were reserved for customers ordering a full breakfast. While the coffee was warm and flavorful, the staff’s attitude remained cold throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the unwelcoming service overshadowed the pleasant aesthetics and decent coffee.
Helen P — Google review
Was a great spot to have a nice overpriced breakfast. We had to wait outside in the cold for some reason, but we were seated fast and the service was nice. Waiters filled our waters timely. There was an angry Asian man at the bar and he was funny to observe. Do not get the warm matcha latte. It was not tasty at all.
Emma — Google review
My friend and I ate here about 10 years ago on a girls trip to Melbourne and we found ourselves back here again with our husbands and had to see if it was as good as we remembered it. And it was!! Everything was so tasty, my husband said it the best porridge he’s ever had and I’m still dreaming about the chilli prawn scrambled eggs. The customer service was amazing too. Very friendly staff, especially the owner! She was great. The attention to detail is bang on including always making sure our water was topped up. Hopefully won’t be 10 years until we’re back again!
Alicia H — Google review
The food looked nice but didn’t really wow us. It was hit and miss. Some of the staff were very friendly and attentive but the lady at the front was a bit rude. I recommend to book a table before coming here to avoid waiting.
Wanderlust I — Google review
Grain store is a lovely warm place with comfortable seating. The coffee was perfect. I had the Miso and honey glazed salmon. While the portion size was actually large and I was completely full, as the title dish was salmon I did expect a bigger piece of salmon and only one poached egg but it was 2 poached eggs and smaller piece of salmon. In saying that it was super filling and balanced and those eggs were delicious. So I preferred it this way, it was just different to what I expected. Service was great.

Convoy Moonee Ponds is a bright and airy café located in the heart of Melbourne. It offers a unique brunch experience with a menu that includes items like cinnamon scroll hotcakes, Turkish eggs with beef Sujuk, lemon yogurt on sourdough, and avocado toast. One of its highlights is the caramelized miso brioches served with hazelnut mascarpone.
Lovely pre Mother's Day lunch with the daughters at Convoy. This bustling trendy cafe is a must try. Every thing we ordered was delicious and friendly servers. Our order :Coconut Brew :CINNAMON SCROLL PANCAKES - :ZUCCHINI + HALLOUMI FRITTERS :PRAWN ROLL

Been coming here for a few years now and never get sick of it. The food is always on point every single time! Even though it’s walk in only the wait is never very long for large or small groups! My favourite items would be the coconut cold brew, steak roll, Turkish eggs and my newest favourite chilli scramble YUMMM.
Kris K — Google review
We came here for lunch as it was close by to our afternoon meeting and was promising given the high rating. We were sat down right away and our drinks ordered promptly taken. Then our food was also given quite promptly and was delicious. Now, the reason for the four stars - our drinks never came. The manager was nice though and made sure we got to go drinks for free. However we ordered large drinks (ice coffee and flat white) and only got small and medium but free is better than no drinks I guess. Kudos to the manager for fixing it. The waitress wasn't that apologetic about forgetting our order which is the reason for the three stars for service.
Yao W — Google review
Convoy is a great spot for friends and family catch up. Been coming here for few years. The food and coffee is always great! Weekend is usually busy and long queue, they also have a great outdoor seat and pet friendly.
Erick C — Google review
Exceptional in every way. Coffee was fantastic and food was unbelievably good. We stopped in on a recommendation and super glad we did. We were greeted immediately by a really friendly staff member and seated. There is lots of indoor & outdoor seating choices, convoy has such a beautiful space. Again, staff nailed it on their attentiveness and communication. The coffees were so freakin good. Barista absolutely nailed it, the drinks were hot, milk was textured good and the coffee extraction was on point. Food was insanely tasty. The quality, quantity and flavours were all next level! Fritters were the best I’ve had from anywhere…. And I don’t say this lightly either. I have been to a loooot of places and this blew them all out the water. But still the #1 thing that impressed me was the team that work there. Everyone was happy and genuine and it was an absolute pleasure
Nato H — Google review
Convoy is a lovely little spot that Dirk and I visited recently. It is very popular, and I noticed that there was not a spare seat in the house! Soon after, some people left and then there were some spare seats in the house which is where we were seated. The food is on the expensive side, but it is very good. The staff are also very friendly and efficient. Dirk had the succulent meat with Benedict and I had it in a bread roll as steak frites. Both were delicious. Thank you Convoy it was fantastic
Phillip N — Google review
Came in with my bestie and my dog, the outdoor area is very clean and beautiful. Not like other cafe’s outdoor, Convoy had it closed off and decked it with nice bench and chairs (also has heating but we didn’t need it today) Staffs are very friendly, however my friend is pregnant and asked for the food to be prepared with extra care, her avocado had sumac on it ( apparently you can’t have sumac when you are pregnant, I didn’t know either) the staff helped us changed it straight away with no issue. The food is very tasty! Definitely would come back, venue looks nice to have a function too!

Roule Galette is a charming French creperie located in a cozy spot near Flinders Lane, away from the bustling city. The warm and inviting interior allows guests to watch the cooks skillfully prepare both sweet and savory crepes while enjoying the melody of French songs. The menu features a variety of classic crepes, flambeed crepes, and traditional buckwheat galettes, all accompanied by homemade sauces and authentic French cheeses.
The crepes here are amazing, just like the ones I used to have in France. Go with the favorite savory one, so good. My daughter loves the cinnamon stewed apple and chocolate. Service was great too.

This used to be one of my favorite spots every time I visited Melbourne. It was a small shop tucked away in an alley, but the food was always so good that I would recommend it to friends visiting the city. On this recent visit, the shop had become bigger and the atmosphere nicer, but unfortunately, the taste didn’t quite live up to what I remembered. Maybe my expectations were high because of the great memories I had, so I felt a bit disappointed. I'm not sure if I’ll return, but the staff were still as kind and friendly as ever, which I truly appreciated.

Absolutely delicious. We had the Salmon and the complete, beautiful clean flavours. Also the flat white was made beautifully. The staff were very lovely and fast! We sat outside and the light breeze and calm vibes created a beautiful breakfast experience. 10/10

Rolue Galette is a must-try for crepe lovers! I had one sweet and one savory crepe, and both were absolutely delicious. The food and service are excellent, and everything tastes freshly made. A lovely little spot that brings a real taste of France — highly recommended!
Simon V — Google review
Roule Galette is a small and cozy place with authentic Breton food – the flavors were really good. However, my experience was spoiled by a big disappointment. I ordered a galette with Norman Camembert and asked to add ham. My request was forgotten, and when I reminded the staff, they simply brought three slices of ham on a separate plate, not even warmed or grilled. On top of that, we were three people and were seated at a tiny table meant for two – it was really uncomfortable. Even worse, my friend ordered a galette with shellfish and found pieces of shell in the filling, nearly breaking a tooth. A complete fiasco!
Ben S — Google review
The food was great, but such a long wait for food. I recommend coming here only if you have plenty of time. The Dubai chocolate crepes were nice but overpriced. Everything else was delicious
Marina M — Google review
Looking for something different than the usual avo smash I chose this small cafe for breakfast. I’d had Galette in Braidwood previously where it is magnificent. I ordered the Cheri Galette with tomato egg and rocket and decided to try the homemade tomato sauce for an extra $3.80 Unfortunately the meal was a little underwhelming. The tomato sauce was a very small squeeze under the edge of the galette where in my mind I thought it might be a rich sweet dollop of relish or something. Definitely not worth the extra $3.80 as it is tasteless. The rocket was also pretty lifeless and perhaps looking a bit old. The coffee was good.

La Petite Crêperie is a charming little spot located in an old newsstand on the corner of Swanston and Little Collins. It's a popular destination for those seeking an authentic Parisian crêpe experience, offering a variety of toppings such as salted caramel, chocolate, honey, Nutella, almonds, peanut butter, banana, lemon sugar and cinnamon. The café operates until late at night and is perfect for a post-dinner dessert.
Very delicious crepe in Melbourne. It’s so cold at night here, everyone wants a hot crepe with Nutella. I went there at 20:15, and waited for 25 minutes for my crepe. But I would say it’s worth it. Remember to pay by cash better by card, cuz card payment surcharges 1.5%

Back to my favourite childhood crêpe spot. It’s been years since I’ve been here, and I’ve truly missed it. 🍁 Still one of the best crêpes I’ve ever had. Had to come back for the classic! lemon, butter, and sugar. 🍋 Always a favourite. Always worth it. ❤️🥞

The Mog Champ sends his regards. Have walked past this crepe cart a few times before and have finally given it a go last night. Went with their sweet selection of peanut butter and banana. They have a good crepe reputation and I can taste why. Service is relatively quick for a two-staffed booth with a compact menu. Thanks for the crepes La Petite, would try something else next time. A little street vendor in a booth, very tasty crêpes, got the plain crêpe with nutella and strawberry and was very tasty. Must try if you want something sweet in town

Best crepes in Melbourne. Super convenient location for a sneaky crepe on the way home from work. I'm simple and enjoy a basic butter and sugar crepe, but the variety is quite vast. Lots of options for getting a crepe your way, with the extras that appeal to you. Just be careful as they are quite hot right off the hot plate!

Monk Bodhi Dharma is a bustling micro-roastery in Melbourne known for its innovative vegan dishes and specialty coffee. The cafe focuses on ethically sourcing coffee and maintaining a sustainable menu by working closely with farmers and suppliers. It has expanded over the years, establishing its own roasting network with Disciple Roasters and operating three different caffeine outposts across Melbourne. The cafe's elusive location adds to its charm, tucked away in an alleyway off Carlisle Street Balaclava.
Amazing vegetarian brunch. We had great coffee, bowls and juice in cool warehouse surrounds. Friendly staff and customers. We had the zucchini hotcakes, chickpea tofu, pumpkin avo smash and great coffee, chai and freshly squeezed juice. Felt Very Melbourne!

Absolutely loved this cafe! The vibe of the place is super relaxing and welcoming. Their signature chai was insanely good - it’s officially the best chai I’ve had. The food was super yummy - felt healthy, hearty and wholesome. So many coeliac safe gluten free options too. The staff were all very friendly. It was lovely to see so many regulars - you know a place is good when that’s the case! Wish I lived nearby, I’d definitely be a regular. Highly recommend.

Coffee. Go here for the coffee. Disciple beans, 3 single origins on every day, all incredible. This and disciple in Brunswick are the best places in Melbourne for espresso. Best, hands down. My choice of drink is ristretto or double espresso. But they also have a blend on for milk coffees. Oh and because they use disciple beans, they also do 2-4 different pour over filters or a batch brew for anyone into a smoother drink.

The pistachio one was sweet, nutty, and rich in flavour, while the portion size was generous and filling. We paired them with an iced Thai lime tea and a mandarin yuzu light, tangy, and super refreshing for a sunny day. They also offer a lovely range of other hot and cold drinks. Service was friendly and accommodating. If you’re keen on souvenirs, you can even grab a plush pancake to take home, such a cute touch! Definitely worth a visit for dessert lovers. Excited to try a pandan pancake next time! 💚✨

So good that I had to come back! The fluffy jiggle pancakes were amazing, super light with really tasty fillings. There’s usually a long queue, so be ready to wait, but it’s worth it. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Tried four flavors and Papi Pistachio was my favorite. 10/10 dessert spot in Melbourne!

Long overdue review and well deserved. Finally writing this after visiting some time ago, and I still remember how good it was! We had the Biscoff Soufflé, the Mango Tango Soufflé, and the Strawberry Skies Soufflé, and all of them were incredible. The soufflés were soft, fluffy, and cloud-like. The Biscoff was rich and indulgent, the Mango Tango was fruity and refreshing, and the Strawberry Skies had a lovely balance of sweetness with a fresh berry flavor. We also tried their matcha drinks, which were smooth and well balanced, pairing perfectly with the soufflés. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and while there can be a wait during busy hours, the desserts are absolutely worth it. This review may be long overdue, but Kumo Desserts definitely deserves the praise. Can’t wait to go back and try more flavours!

Don’t !!! Ever !!! Come !!! Here !!! unless you want to be dreaming of these pancakes for a long time and will be ready to spend all your money on these pancakes because KUMO has THE best pancakes ever omg … wow these pancakes were out of this world! 🥞 Insanely fluffy yet had a nice bite to it and the fillings were just the right amount, you know how they say an Asian’s best compliment is “not too sweet”, THIS pancake had the perfect ratio of cream + ice cream + filling and the pancake itself was just perfection. The drinks are good too! I had the iced Uji matcha and I am a matcha connoisseur I had 10 cups when I was in Bangkok so you can trust me 😩 I had their matcha without sugar and the flavour profile of the matcha absolutely shined ✨ It was nutty and umami yet creamy, I loved it! Also not pictured was their cream top hojicha (?) I forgot the name and drank it too quickly … wow it was perfect. Hojicha was soo roasted and nutty and the cold cream was such a delight. Staff Gracia was such a sweetheart too! Took the time to help us pick our pancakes and what flavours we liked. Will be dreaming of this place for awhile because I don’t live in Melbourne 😭🥹

Absolutely amazing must visit place. Honestly, we didn't have much hope going in. We thought it was going to be really sweet and underwhelming. But boy, we were really surprised by the pancakes. They were super soft and melted in our mouth. The fillings provided another dimension to the overall taste. The staff was really friendly. The portion size is also really good. If you are not very hungry 2 people can easily share one plate. Expect to wait outside for about 10-15 mins.

Had the Berry Brûlée Bomb Soufflé Pancakes at Kumo Desserts near Melbourne Central , absolutely delicious! Light, fluffy, and not overly sweet. The caramelised custard top was top-notch and perfectly balanced. Such a pleasure to the taste buds! The central location makes it super convenient for a sweet catch-up with friends.

Kumo Desserts pancakes are very popular and queue on Saturday after lunch. The soft toy and deco are natural colour and bright. You can use the soft toy as the character to take some photos of pancakes and people 📸 I loved the huge soft toy pancake! The taste was hit and miss to me but others loved it😍 The pancakes, gelato icecream was very nice.😋 The blueberry sauce was good. The custard creme brulee's caramel sauce tasted soy sause. I tried tasted the caramel many times but, my sense of taste tells soy sauce😂 It was so weird taste. Water is self service and staff are cute & lovely😍

First time coming here...loved the mango bingsu. Subtle coconut snow topped with sweet-tart fresh pieces of mango. A side portion of mango sauce and sticky rice was a nice little treat. The crowd favourite seems to be the Thai tea flavour, which I'll definitely try next time

Adozen Adozen, located in Carlton, Melbourne, is renowned for its original Japanese souffle pancakes that have gained popularity on TikTok. These cloud-like creations are praised for their light-as-air texture and sweet milk flavor, with a variety of toppings such as fresh strawberries, decadent chocolate, and mouth-watering matcha. The menu features seasonal rotations with standout options like honey with Weet-Bix-flecked butter and bonito-flaked okonomiyaki.
My mum has been wanting to visit for so long and we finally got the opportunity to go today! 10/10 souffle pancakes, the best I’ve ever had really they’re so soft and jiggly while being thoroughly cooked all the way through. We ordered the matcha pancakes, fresh fruit pancakes, yuzu cheesecake, fruit boom green tea, and sakura and berry hot tea served in a small teapot. Everything was great, staff was friendly, the restaurant itself is really cute with very clean tables and chairs. It was overall a lovely dining experience. The cheesecake was soft and had a melt in your mouth experience too.

Tried the tiramisu, dark chocolate, white chocolate strawberries pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy and tasty, and the white chocolate strawberries are always a favorite—sweet and smooth. The dark chocolate wasn’t as rich as expected and had a faint eggy smell that threw off the flavor a bit. Some hits, some misses—but still a great spot for a sweet treat.
Veena S — Google review
I visited the store tonight (28/09) with a friend. Initially, we ordered the Tiramisu one, not realizing that it didn't have the halal label on the menu. Once it came out and was served, the staff kindly confirmed with us that it was in fact, the literal only pancake that was not halal. She very nicely told us we can switch the menu to another one that's halal-friendly or ask for a refund. We chose to change our order to a vanilla brulee. It was splendid! The souffle pancake was incredibly soft, and it wasn't too sweet. We were touched by the staff's consideration about the halal menu (for context, we're hijabis), she went out of her way to help us out. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for her name. Our biggest gratitude to her. Would definitely come back for the pancake, the vibes and warm service.

Adozen Adozen is a must for soufflé pancake lovers! The pancakes are insanely fluffy, and the white chocolate strawberries are a total game changer. The matcha cheesecake is the perfect treat to pair with it. Amazing vibes and even better food, I definitely recommend!

Visited after dinner during my trip in Melbourne. Good smell around the cafe. Ordered original pancake as prefer to taste the basic menu first and did not disappoint at all. Pancake served in good portion, right taste (not too sweet or too buttery). Not too long wait as staff mentioned. Great service mind staff and ambient. Will definitely visit again when have chance next time.

This was my first time trying Adozen Adozen and I was genuinely blown away by how delicious everything was! The souffle pancakes were so light and fluffy - like little sweet clouds! We tried the tiramisu and dubai chocolate and they were both delicious. I also really loved the basque cheesecake, it was so creamy!!! This is the perfect sweet treat any time of the day

Vue de Monde is an upscale dining spot located in the Rialto building, offering sweeping city views from its 55th-floor location. The restaurant provides a luxurious experience with modern Australian cuisine and an impressive 18-course feast using the finest native ingredients. The elegant ambiance features black walls, celestial lighting, and twinkling city lights below, creating a unique dining atmosphere.
Can’t believe this was my first time here! Wonderful service, with really attentive staff, even the chef team say hi! Felt like there were servers flitting around us the whole time we were there. Generous portions, you’ll definitely not leave hungry, and good wine pairings (I got the most basic one). The cheese course was wonderful! Loved the theatre, and interactions with staff and tour of the kitchen and some hands on activities. The view is of course, wonderful, seating and atmosphere is very comfortable, and I can’t wait to come back again!
Holly K — Google review
Superlative food n fantastic service. They are very attentive n on hand to anticipate any of your needs. Will recommend this as a bucket list item. The only reason why I gave 4 stars for atmosphere was: by the time it was our turn to tour the kitchen, most of the food preparation had finished so there's nothing much to observe. The schedule should be more flexible
K W — Google review
The set menu is coherent, celebrating native ingredients. Very innovative. Enjoyed most of the savoury but love the desserts most, especially the soufflé. Probably the best i have ever tasted. Was told the recipe was kept since restaurant opening. Definitely the signature dish! The little tour to open kitchen is a bonus. It is a bit pricey but worthwhile given good food, great ambience and night view.

My partner and I had dinner at Vue de Monde to celebrate our 5th anniversary, and the entire experience was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. It was clear that the team is passionate about every single detail. The food was extraordinary. Each course was a work of art, showcasing innovative combinations and visually stunning presentations that truly highlighted the quality of the ingredients. But what made the evening truly unforgettable was the personal and attentive service. The staff made our celebration feel incredibly special by presenting us with a personalized card signed by the team to commemorate our anniversary. A major highlight was the post-meal tour of their kitchen, where a staff member graciously showed us their operations and answered our questions. It was a fascinating look behind the scenes and a perfect end to the meal. It was a experience made memorable by a team that genuinely cares. Highly recommended for any special occasion.

Highly recommend for any special occasions. The experience starts from the moment you enter the foyer at street level where you are greeted and it continues as you take the lift to the 55th floor. The views are spectacular looking out to Melbourne high above the city at sunset. The wait staff were truly amazing and really did everything to break the mold of robot waiters, they added their own personal touch which was well received. The dining area was spacious and left the experience very intiment. The food was a absolute culinary masterpiece. The flavors and the textures and unique paintings of some foods left an orgasmic explosion in your mouth. We celebrated our 40th birthdays at Vue we made the most perfect choice of restaurants for this momentous occasion. The chefs tour of the kitchen added a whole new element to the experience, With Wealth of knowledge and overall experience every section of the kitchen was explaon in great detail by the Sous Chef who was a very funny yet very professional man. We enjoyed a photo with the chefs and the topped out the experience for us it was beautiful. After this we returned to our table to find beautiful personalized birthday cards signed by the staff. It was truly a night and experience that we will remember forever and pass on the message to as many people as possible. Highly recommended

We celebrated my birthday at Vue de Monde (2 Oct 2025), and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The team (especially Silvia, Barbara, Mia, and Neil) were outstanding, attentive, intuitive, and genuinely kind. They struck the perfect balance between engagement and giving us space, making the evening feel effortless. From the lobby welcome to our farewell, every interaction was thoughtful and polished. They handled complex allergy requirements with remarkable care, never once making us feel like an inconvenience. Each of the 11 or so courses were perfectly portioned and timed. We had to decline the cheese course as we were so full! Every dish flowed into the next with thoughtful precision, each complementing the previous and what was to come. My highlights included; the garlic and leek tart, wagyu and damper, and the ice cream sandwich. The Million Dollar Baby cocktail was a heavenly must from Lui Bar. This paired with the views made the evening even more memorable. At the end, they presented a handwritten birthday card, which was a beautiful personal touch. It’s those small gestures, paired with flawless service and exceptional food, that make the Vue de Monde team truly world class. We are so grateful to the team for making the night unforgettable, and we will definitely be back.

One of the best restaurants if not the best restaurant in the Southern Hemisphere. From the time we got there till the time I left, the entire experience was amazing. The somm team, the wait staff were just exceptional. Explaining every single dish, element of the restaurant and the the inspiration behind. A special shout out to Raj, for being the absolutely lovely host and to the lovely team Barbie, Nicole, Danny, Ben, PJ, Cody, Maite and Fergus and everyone. (I couldn’t remember everyone’s names). The food is perfection and every dish is a work of art - so beautiful and creative and the tableware uses gorgeous natural materials. But it’s the team that work there that make it such a special experience! Our fave part of the night was the kitchen tour and the interactive station with the patisserie chef. Shoutout to Andy for the tour - we loved meeting the team that brings it all to life, like Jack, the apprentice, he was all smiles and full of energy!

Serotonin Eatery in Melbourne is a unique dining spot that aims to uplift your mood and promote overall well-being. Located in the inner-city suburb of Burnley, this stylish and contemporary eatery offers gourmet, health-conscious meals in a light-filled space. The menu features a rainbow of delicious dishes designed to enhance both body and mind, with a focus on plant-based and vegetarian options catering to various dietary requirements.
We had coffees and shared between two of us a Nutrition Bomb dish with a couple of sides - it was huge, fresh and delicious with a well-balanced mix of ingredients. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cafe itself nicely laid out. With the weekend surcharge, it cost $52 - money well spent!
Catherine D — Google review
I get it. Eating healthy is expensive. But dang, Serotonin prices makes one doubt whether eating out is worth it anymore. Was the pancakes fluffy and flavourful? Sure. Was the nutrition bowl plentiful and delicious? Sure. But when a brunch for four, with smoothies and coffee, hits nearly the two hundred mark, then perhaps one got to question value for money. Inflation in this town has gotten a bit carried away. It's not necessarily businesses' fault for makig ends meet. And Serotonin may be brave not to cut corners and reduce its quality. So come here with eyes open and be ready to pay the price for eating healthy.
Sani A — Google review
Fantastic quality healthy food, but very expensive. Plenty of coeliac safe gluten free dishes to choose from. The service was okay, the girl was on a phone call to someone when serving me at the end, which I found rude and let down the service experience, it is the bare minimum to have decent customer service, especially if the prices are so high.

Serotonin has been on my bucket list for far too long and how happy am I that I finally got there today! The team are just gorgeous. There is so much love in the food. And the atmosphere was relaxed and chill. I had a fabulous meal and left full to the brim 🤰, but couldn’t help grabbing a chocolate dessert on the way out, for later. Nestled in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, Operator Diner offers a unique twist on classic American diner fare with a touch of Aussie simplicity. The cozy and comfortable ambiance invites patrons to savor stacks of syrupy buttermilk pancakes, French toast, and specialty sandwiches. Embracing the nostalgia of traditional diners, this eatery serves up house-made beverages like iced tea, lemonade, and milkshakes alongside Code Black Coffee Roaster's brews.
Delicious food, friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. The menu options are great and very reasonably priced. It would be great to be able to pre-book online or via phone, to avoid waiting to be seated because only walk ins are accepted. Regardless, I highly recommend this dinner!!

A casual restaurant to visit if you are craving for some heavy oily American style food. We had chicken with waffle and beef pastrami. Chicken dish is 100% recommended. Beef pastrami was good but a bit salty. Also hadd Mac and cheese croquette, and is not recommended, you will be better off with chips like most people get. Overall, we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Be mindful it is a popular place so you could wait for more than 30min to get a table

Operator Diner is my favourite breakfast spot in Melbourne. I live nearby and am on a mission to try every dish on the menu. Here are some pics from the last couple of months. Every dish is delicious, I’m never disappointed with my selection. The fried chicken waffles and French toast are some recent favourites. ❤️❤️❤️

Cute diner with a great range of food! We had the beef pastrami sandwich, chicken waffle, and blueberry bagel with matcha spread. The sandwich and waffle were both 10/10 — absolutely delicious. Not a fan of the bagel, but everything else (including the coffee!) was amazing. Can’t wait to come back to try the other menu especially the steak night!

Great food and size portions!! Decent prices too, service is very good too, something that's hard to find these days! It does get very busy tho so recommend getting in early or be prepared to wait a little bit for a seat! Top notch food 👌

30$ for steak and chips (refilled forever) with that price I didnt expected the steak will be like in restausrant. Only normal quality and cheap for everyone can afford. The staff forgot our order and bring the steak gave to different clients just came in 🥲 so I have to tell them its our steak. Their tiramisu is nice so I can forgive that wrong mistake. The atmosphere is too noisy, everyone talked loud and laughed loudly. Not perfect for dating couple. Not have good romantic atsmostphere there. Just like normal dinner.
Phuong N — Google review
A cosy eatery located a block or so from the State Library, the Operator Diner is accessible for students, travellers, and workers in the city looking for a quality pre-noughties American diner inspired feed at a reasonable price. The diner on the smaller side and best suited for small parties or couples. Unfortunately, this also does mean one can wait for as long as 45 minutes until a table is vacated, especially for parties 4 or higher. The atmosphere is that of a bright, modern envisioning of the classic American diner, with plush seating booths, minus the neons and checkered vinyl floors, favouring more a orange and clay palette and incandescent lighting. The diner-cafe ripples with conversation and activity, fostering an easy-speaking environment. Portion sizes are well proportioned to satisfy, but ungenerous. The diner seems to excel best at brunch-like menu offerings, but everything is tasteful in both presentation and flavour. I opted for a dish of bangers and mash for a taste of yesteryear, while my company ordered burgers and toasted sandwiches. The Operator is worth your time stopping by for a visit if you are strolling around the heart of Melbourne; definitely to be enjoyed with intimate company.

We loved everything about this place – the vibe, the service and the food were all spot on. We went on a Sunday morning around 10:30am and, as expected, there was a bit of a wait. But they’ve got a great system where you leave your mobile number and they text you when your table’s ready. We were told it would be about 30 minutes, but we only waited around 15. We ordered the sausage muffin on a cheese biscuit (thought we’d lean into the American diner vibe!) and the French toast – both were absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to come back.

A cafe that specialises in Japanese souffle pancakes and house by drinks. Their menu offers several different flavours of pancakes, and I tried the plain flavour and homemade fizzy. The pancake was one of the lightest I've had before, and had a strong egg white flavour. It melted in your mouth very quickly. The environment also felt quite relaxing and was clean. Worth a try if you would like a light and tasty dessert 👌👍

Absolutely heavenly soufflé pancakes. My partner and I stopped in here for a late brekky while holidaying in Melbourne. We ordered the raspberry pancakes and the truffle cream pancakes. My partner has a sweet tooth, so for him the raspberry pancakes were incredible. I love a good sweet & salty combo, so for me the truffle cream pancakes were perfect. Drinks were also great! The only thing I will say is that for soufflé pancakes they were a little small in my opinion, but the taste makes up for this factor

So when I found out this place made gluten free japanese soufle pancakes I immediately made my roommate drop everything and go with me to find it. When we got there we found a very small shop, with a pretty limited menu. But all but two items were safe for me to eat. And that is a pretty good ration in my eyes. You can order online from your table, go up to the counter or even order to take away. But it was an easy process and a short wait. We had some of their mixed drinks. The peppermint and lime, and the orange and lemon and shared one of their signature pancakes. But damn diddly if that food wasn't magical. Finding places that make safe pancakes is rare. But these were so very soft and fluffy with a sweet buttery topping and a splash of maple syrup. I will definitely be going back before I head home to perth. I need to try the rest of their menu.... for science....XD
Stephanie Y — Google review
Lovely place, had a good time sitting there during a rainy morning. Unfortunately the pancakes are made from frozen dough (the plastic package of a portion has been ripped open in front of me), so they are running inside. Huge disappointment. Delicious strawberry match latte, though. But that's not what I came for. 🙃 On top of all, for 30 minutes nobody collected the empty plate from my table. So won't hurt you to hang out there for a chat over a beverage, but don't expect too much.

Took my girls here for the last day of our holiday here and we were greeted and treated amazingly by our waitress, Deb. She was ever so friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, brilliant in ensuring we had everything we needed to ensure a most pleasurable lunch for my 3 girls and I. I will most definitely return and I have to say that Deb is an absolute asset to The Pancake Parlour, thank you so much! I highly recommend anybody to visit this restaurant, the food and service are all impeccable!

Visited Pancake Parlour recently and had a mixed experience. The food was okay — nothing mind-blowing but it did the job. The staff were helpful when approached, though they weren’t very communicative or proactive, which made things a bit awkward at times. One of the bigger issues was the ordering process through the app. It wasn’t very user-friendly, and it was easy to overlook the winter menu discount, which was disappointing. A bit more clarity or guidance would’ve helped. On the positive side, the atmosphere was lively and upbeat, which made the overall vibe enjoyable. It's a decent spot for a casual outing, but a few improvements — especially with the mobile ordering system — would go a long way.

Stopped by at tea time. The restaurant was quite spacious and empty, staff were extremely helpful and kind. Normally ordering by QR code, but staff were happy to order for you. For pancakes, they allowed a wide variety of personalised options, for example protein pancake, gluten free pancakes; toppings ranging from ice cream, vegan ice cream, cream… Ordered a mini fresh strawberry pancake and Hot Long Black Large. The mini fresh strawberry pancakes came with fresh strawberries, two mini-size pancakes and vanilla ice cream, decorated with strawberry sauce. The pancakes were soft and slightly chewy in texture, but the sides were nearly burnt that formed a piece of ‘skin’ literally. The fruits were fresh. The vanilla ice cream was just sweet. Long black was smooth to drink, but no special coffee base could be tasted. Neither nutty or fruity side. Total $21.4. Table and seats were comfortable for log. chat with families and friends.

Most amazing low gluten / gluten free pancakes I’ve had in a very long time! Even had its own menu so no confusion on what I could and couldn’t eat. Staff were so lovely and service was quick. Also had freshly brewed tea that came with a strainer and was super authentic and overall a 10/10 experience. If in Melbourne I really recommend coming here for a breakfast plus it’s in a shopping centre so the day only just begins!!

Had a big craving for pancakes but also savoury so I got myself bacon and eggs dish that came with a short stack. I really wanted additional walnuts, which aren't available anymore, sadly. But Deb was a lovely waiter that was patient with my fumbling for my order an suggested crushed pistachios, they were very tasty on my pancakes. Forever love pancake parlor, ever since I was a kid.

I loved the Mexican crepes combo (one crepe was chicken, while the other was beef) and the pancakes. The Mexican crepes were full of flavour, while the pancakes were fluffy and sweet. The atmosphere was also nice, as the seats were comfortable and the restaurant was very aesthetically pleasing - it gives off a nature/earthy appearance.

Amazing food and even better service! Got the big country breakfast with one of the chicken crepes. We also got one sweet crepe. The staff was amazing, very friendly and have excellent customer service skills. I accidentally forgot to tell them to get the sweet crepe later after the mains but then later on, once it came, I asked if they could put it in the fridge for a bit to slow down the ice cream from melting however, they just offered to make a new one once I was ready. Truly exceptional way to treat your customers. All the food was amazing, especially the sweet treats here, never fail to hit. To top it all off, I just did the spin and the wheel on their app while waiting for my food and got 50% off my total bill, incredible!

CBD bakery is fantastic!! We had to organise a last minute morning tea for work and the staff were incredibly helpful and understanding. The hot cross buns and slices that we ordered were so delicious and really reasonably priced for such high quality. Everyone loved them (even the hot cross bun impartialists). A big big thank you to the team for being so lovely - I would highly recommend CBD bakery!

We were in next building and we went here as it looks like gem. No frills simple bakery serving different pastries, cakes, but more importantly piping hot pies. We tried the traditional meat pie and the pepper steak ones. Between us we preferred the traditional ones. Prices were reasonable and coffee was great! Do come before lunch time as it can get quite packed during lunch.

I visited CBD Bakery when they took part in the Baking for Brain Cancer even. Each pie sold contributed $1 to the cause, which made the experience even more meaningful. I had a meat pie. It was absolutely delicious — the crust was perfectly flaky, and the filling was rich and comforting. It felt like the kindness of the staff was baked into the pie. It warmed not just my body, but my heart.I imagine they must have baked many pies with great care for this special day. The staff were kind, and the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming. I’m so glad I stopped by — I’ll be back to try more!

Been there a few times now. Good menu array. Friendly service. Complimentary newspapers. A traditional bakery in the CBD. Great vibe. Good tasting well made sausage rolls.

I go to this cafe whenever I am in the office in the city. Service is always quick and the coffee is pretty good. Vanilla Slices are the best pastries they serve. A great catch is the free cinnamon donut between 10-12 with your hot drink. If they forget to give it to you, they do not mind you requesting it. All the staff are always happy and quick to serve. David is a great barista and always up for a chat. Give this cafe a go if you are in the area.

We were visiting Melbourne and the husband was craving for pies but didn’t want to travel to the suburbs. Given the relatively high ratings we decided to visit this gem as it was near our hotel. Between us we preferred the traditional ones. Prices were reasonable and coffee was great! Do come before lunch time as it can get quite packed during lunch.

review no. 71 of 2024 (19/6/24) CBD Bakery, Melbourne, Victoria Chicken & Leek pie $8.40 Checked out Melbourne's one and only bakery in the CBD district. The bakery has been there for about 30 years and Tony has been running it for the last 6 years. The second baker in a row that supports the baggers. The presentation of the pie looked nice, it did look a bit shallow though. The lid looked to be baked well, had a small amount of crunch when you bite into the pie and the sides and the base looked to be baked well also. Moving onto the filling the chicken tasted really fresh, nice bite sized pieces, coupled with gravy and leek it complimented each other well. The gravy tasted amazing and wasn't too rich. Had a nice creamy texture on the palate. Seasoned well. The consistency of the filling looked pretty stable. The serving temp was spot on and at a guess the pie would have held up together. This was a really nice tasting pie. It was the 3rd chicken and leek pie i've had so far and ten times better than a Herbert Adams chicken and leek pie ! The price is up there but well worth the price for a gourmet style pie. Coffee's are pretty decent too. The bakery has an indoor dining area & a small outdoor dining area too. 480 Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000 #CBDBakery #Melbourne #ChickenandLeek #MeatPie #MeatPieAppreciationGroup For more Meat Pie reviews, join my group on Facebook the Meat Pie Appreciation Group

The Terrace Cafe is a charming spot nestled in the Royal Melbourne Botanical Gardens, offering a delightful way to conclude a day of exploration. With its picturesque location among lavender plants and greenery, it provides stunning views of Melbourne. The cafe boasts an impressive menu with flavorful dishes such as crispy herb bread with seasoned stracciatella toms and perfectly fluffy hotcakes topped with blueberries and maple glaze. Despite being busy, the service is quick and attentive.
The coffee is great, the cheese burger is very tasty, cooked just right, great presentation. Staff is friendly and helpful. A nice place to relax and enjoy. Price is reasonable.

The Terrace Café in the Melbourne Botanic Gardens is a lovely spot to relax and enjoy a coffee or tea. The setting is very peaceful, with beautiful views of the gardens, ponds, and even the city skyline. It’s very relaxing to sit here and take in the surroundings. One thing to note is that there are quite a few birds around, which adds to the natural charm, but might not be for everyone. Overall, it’s a great option for a calm break while exploring the gardens.

The weather just needs to be perfect, a gentle breeze whispering through the ears while sipping a cup of cappuccino on a wooden bench and pause to take in the peaceful rhythm of nature around you and enjoying viewing the lake. Enjoying the beautiful cup of coffee either from the cafe outdoor seating or punting on the lake with the Private boat tour for almost 30m. A romantic boat tour with the umbrellas and enjoying the scenic lake with just the sound of birds singing the song of Love. A beautiful scenic restaurant in the middle of botanical gardens facing the lake to enjoy your breakfast or lunch on a beautiful weather. Tip: take a picnic mat if you need to sleep on the garden while facing up towards the sky.

I’ve photographed many weddings at The Terrace and it’s always such a beautiful day! It's the perfect combination of being surrounded by the lush greenery of the Botanic Gardens while also offering that central Melbourne city location. Having the gardens at your fingertips makes couples portraits a breeze, and the reception space is also light, bright and impeccably designed. The team are fantastic and make every wedding run seamlessly.

I had breakfast with coffee at The Terrace, but the experience was disappointing. The service was poor, the table wasn’t cleaned, and the food was very average considering the high prices. This place really needs to pay more attention to customers and service quality.

I visited Terrace yesterday and today. The coffee I had yesterday was really good, and the barista who made it said she would be working again today. I’m quite sensitive to caffeine, so having a good cup of coffee is a really special experience for me. She was kind and attentive even when it was busy, which made my visit even better. But today was a bit disappointing. The coffee tasted completely different, and the barista from yesterday wasn’t there only a red haired girl and a tall guy. It wasn’t even busy today, but the quality still felt inconsistent. I’m not sure if I’ll come back, but if I do, I’ll definitely order when that barista is working.

Nestled in the heart of Eastern Melbourne, The Pancake Parlour Doncaster is a delightful destination for pancake enthusiasts and families alike. This charming eatery has been serving up both classic and inventive pancakes for years, making it a beloved spot among locals. With its inviting decor and vibrant atmosphere, it's the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or brunch. Guests rave about their extensive menu that features everything from traditional pancakes to unique creations like strawberry-infused options.
I haven’t been to Pancake Parlour for a while, and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and cozy the Doncaster location is. They currently have a winter special, 50% off when the temperature drops below 10 degrees which makes it such great value. Definitely worth a visit!

I drove an hour to attend a meeting and decided to try this branch for sweets. The place itself is nice, and I appreciated the ample parking. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The loaded fries were burnt, and at $19, the portion and quality didn’t justify the price. The crepe was also underwhelming—so small it felt like a kids’ serving, yet charged at full adult price. The only item I enjoyed was the cinnamon scroll pancakes, which were reasonably sized and tasted good. Overall, it felt like we ended up paying more for the space than the food itself. It's 24/7 so if everything is closed..visit

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Pancake Parlour in Doncaster. The menu offers a great variety sweet and savoury options that cater to every craving. The coffee was strong and smooth, and the service was warm and friendly from the moment we walked in. The cozy decor and relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a weekend brunch. Highly recommend this place if you’re a pancake lover or just looking for a comforting, delicious meal. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I like it but can be a bit sweet, particularly the chocolate royale drink, maybe it is just my preference. The crepe was tasty but pricey for the quantity. Service seemed to be sparse maybe it is because the place was busy. The overall feel of the place feels dated, but maybe it is just chosen vibe of the place.

Love this local pancake parlour it’s always a go to for my friends and family. Service is always friendly and happy to help and the atmosphere is very warm and cosy. I’ve come again today and tried their winter menu with the cinnamon scroll pancakes and I have to say this is my favourite thing I’ve had at Pancake Parlour. I seriously recommend it my friends and I loved the cinnamon scroll pancakes and you have to try before winter is over. The decor is also very stimulating and there is always a lot to look at.

This is one of the few options in east Melbourne for dining and gathering until late night. As it can be guessed from the name, the pancakes are great. I personally love the strawberry one. I have also tried the food options. You can experience options with a fusion of multiple cuisines. Overall, this is highly recommended if you are in Doncaster or nearby suburbs.

One of their limited-time offerings is the Sweet Pancake Medley which features four mini buttermilk pancakes with different toppings.

I arrived for dine in at around 6:30 with my sister. When I arrived I was greeted by the waiter who was very friendly and seated me at my table. He mentioned the QR code to order but we chose to order manually. I got the chicken schnitzel with salad and potato chips. As soon as the food arrived the presentation was spot on and the food was full of flavours and textures topped with the most zesty lemon to squeeze ontop. The drinks were a wonderful refreshment to compliment the dish and overall experience. Overall a great experience and will be back. Regards Dale

The Bavarian Apple didn’t quite meet my expectations—the apples had a slightly artificial, plasticky taste. The Jamaican Banana lacked enough banana pieces. However, the pancakes were soft, and the ice cream was good. The Ice Choc was the highlight—not too sweet and well balanced. The staff were friendly and attentive.

EDIT: when we managed to speak to a supervisor, she was incredibly rude and belligerent, but reluctantly fixed the issue. for the record, your staff took the plate before we even had an OPPORTUNITY to mention it. we didn't appreciate the lecture, and we won't be dining with your unhygienic, rude, incompetent staff again. for $15.50, I 100% expected the serving size to be larger. I don't think it's wrong, when I go out to buy a meal, to expect that the meal would contain enough food to feed a person. on top of this, when we came in, I came in with an injury on crutches, and they still sat and served two or three groups before my partner and I even received menus. to then come up to a table with no menus, and ask for our order? on top of that, the themed shakes are now served in what appear to be 200ml cups, for twelve dollars! the service here has declined steeply, and the quality of the food. 24/7 does not suit you, pancake parlour. this is abysmal.

I arrived in the store at around 10.40pm. I wanted to order takeaway on the app and it only allowed me to order it for pickup at 11.30pm. I asked the staff member if I were to order it for an 11.30pm, would they just be able to make the food straight away so I can leave earlier as I needed to leave. The staff member said yes, they will notify the kitchen once I place the order and it should be around 15 minutes. I placed the order at 10.45pm and let them know what name the order was under so they could notify the kitchen. I waited until 11.15pm and followed up with the same staff member. They could not find my order, so they had to ask me twice what it consisted of. They notified their supervisor. Their supervisor told me it would only be a few more minutes. Fast forward to 11.30pm and I finally got my order. I advised the manager what happened and he said they do not receive the order until closer to the pick up time selected on the app. I told the manager that this was what I had initially requested a work-around for to the staff member prior to ordering. The manager advised it was a miscommunication and just offered an apology. I was not happy. To make things worse, I went home and discovered one of the ice cream containers had already been opened. This is not good enough. I wasted a lot of my time.

The Pancake Parlour is always a fun and cozy place to visit with family or friends. The pancakes are soft, fluffy, and delicious, with plenty of sweet and savoury options to choose from. The service is friendly, and the staff make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is warm and nostalgic, perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a late-night treat. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, and the food is consistently good. The only small downside is that the wait time can be a bit long during busy hours, but overall the experience is enjoyable and worth the visit. Definitely one of my favourite spots for a tasty treat — 4 stars well deserved!

The Pancake Parlour Malvern East is a whimsical and long-running chain known for serving up classic and creative pancakes, along with cocktails and ice cream. The regular stack with whipped butter and maple syrup is highly recommended, as well as the Chocolate on Chocolate option. The Country breakfast is also a popular choice for those craving a hearty meal. While the vanilla ice cream may be overly sweet for some, the fluffy pancakes, bacon, and eggs are generally well-received.
Overall what you expect from a pancake house, it was tasty, ambient atmosphere with music playing in the background. We came in the afternoon, it was easy to talk inside. Recommend them since staff repeatedly came to ask if everything was okay. ( Got different sort of eggs but i was fine with that , didn't tell them) . Clean washrooms unlike other places. And my cappuccino was great. ☕️ So extra points on that. A good place overall if you want to go on a date or have a business meeting.

The food was good. Great price from the app, other than that pancake parlour is far too expensive for me. The bacon cooked well 😋. Too much butter. Eggs a bit over cooked. Free wi fi is always a plus. Service was ok, only one server in the afternoon. Bathroom was clean and smelled nice. The bathroom had air and paper towels.

Pancake Bliss, Every Single Time I’ve been coming to the Malvern East Pancake Parlour once a month for ages now, and it never disappoints. My usual go-to is the Golden Gaytime Pancakes (because honestly, they’re iconic), but this time I cheated on my favourite with the Jamaican Banana Pancakes… and oh my god, I regret nothing. Fluffy, golden pancakes stacked with caramelised bananas, smothered in warm butterscotch sauce, and topped with creamy vanilla ice cream, it’s basically therapy on a plate. The portion’s perfect, the flavours are spot-on, and the whole vibe of the place is relaxed and welcoming. Every visit feels like a little ritual of self-care. If you’re anywhere near Malvern East and haven’t tried these pancakes, you’re living life wrong.

The Ferrero Rocher Pancake at Pancake Parlour Malvern East’s Winter Menu is an absolute go-to – rich, indulgent, and perfectly balanced for anyone with a sweet tooth. 🥞🍫 Definitely the star of the menu! The only letdown was the hot chocolate – sadly a disappointment compared to the rest, lacking that same richness and warmth you’d expect. Ambiance is cozy and service is great, but I’d stick to the pancakes and skip the hot choc.

Visited Pancake Parlour this week for my free birthday pancake, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Food 1. I had the strawberry pancake with ice cream and fresh fruit – the icy cold ice cream paired perfectly with the warm pancake. 2. My friend tried the matcha raspberry pancake (September special) and loved the balance of flavours, especially the noticeable matcha taste. Service 1. The hostess greeted us immediately and took genuine interest in my food sensitivities. 2. The manager even greeted us personally, as she did with other diners. Conclusion A small but excellent Pancake Parlour that deserves more recognition for its top-notch service and quality food. Thank you for providing this wonderful experience - we will come when we visit Eastland next time.

Pancake parlour is an Australian institution, and this particular store is a family tradition with its beautiful building features and cool little booths hidden throughout. The staff are amazing - friendly and professional and even up for a laugh. We love the summer menu with its Vegemite pancakes and discounted drinks. Can easily feed the whole family for less than $60. Plenty of parking, good access and even an upstairs for special occasions. Love how the kids menu doubles as a colour-in book for the kids, with a little pack of coloured pencils available upon request. I can't wait to go back here again next time.

2/3/23 - I got a response from the owner asking to provide more details in the contact us page but after providing as requested absolutely no response or action from the owner or the restaurant. Then I went had a look at all other reviews which had 1 star and they all got simulate responses to me. So wondering what’s the purpose of asking to do something but then no action from there. The customer service was terrible on Saturday 25th February. We were seated towards the end closer to the party room and there was no one coming to our table to take orders. When I was heading to the front counter to order I saw the guy taking orders in another table. Why indifference towards us? Is it because we are not the locals. This is what frustrates me the most, discrimination. What’s the point if the food is good and we get such a treatment. Am sorry to say I would consider this as discrimination. Even when I went to pay at the end the other lady at the counter was also hopeless. She just mentioned the bill amount and did not even care in asking how the food was etc. I never expected such a treatment from this place.

Friendly and quick service in this often rather empty restaurant. The food is fine but it's rather pricey for what you're getting. We had a potato and cheese pancake, a Caesar Salad, and a small serve of potato wedges on the side. The pancake had a side salad that had lots of sliced celery and a few less than fresh leaves of lettuce. The Ceasar salad croutons were rock hard, more like rusk.

Went there for Mother's day, did not book. We were seated within minutes by the hostess/ manager. Were attended to just as quickly. Meals came out in what seemed like minutes. Just a note, entrée Tabriz is ONE filled pancake, if you order a main Tabriz, the portion is two filled pancakes. As always, consistent, delicious, fresh. Never have a sore tummy afterwards. Suggest sharing an IT dessert, just beautiful with warm walnuts. Husband had bacon and eggs, also lovely,

The Pancake Parlour Highpoint is a whimsical and well-established chain known for serving up a variety of classic and innovative pancakes, along with cocktails and ice cream. Despite some mixed reviews, many customers have fond memories of visiting this location, citing its nostalgic ambiance that brings back childhood experiences. The staff is praised for their friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to the overall positive dining experience. Additionally, downloading the restaurant's app is recommended as it offers exclusive deals and rewards for frequent visitors.
We came here last night because I found the 2 for $20 breakfast groupon, which turned out to be great value for money. Food was really nice, albeit one of my fried eggs was quite raw(as shown in the photo). Still no complaint though because I could have mentioned it to the staff and I know they would have replaced it. The hot chocolate was lovely although it could have been a bit stronger. The staff were the real highlight of the night. Although it was busy they were always passing through making sure everything was alright and that you were enjoying your meal. I didn't get her name but we met a server at the counter when we paid, she had redish hair and a fringe. Anyway, she was incredibly friendly and cracked a joke that made our night.

We visited Pancake Parlour Highpoint before lunch when it wasn’t busy, but the service was disappointing. Despite plenty of staff on the floor, no one seemed attentive, and we waited too long to place our order. The ordering app was glitchy and wouldn’t accept membership rewards or vouchers. We ordered the Big Breakfast and Farmer’s Breakfast—while the mushrooms were well-seasoned, they didn’t pair well with the pancakes. The hash browns were oily and an odd match with the pancakes and scoop of butter. The bacon was hard and clearly not freshly fried. Tables were sticky. That said, in fairness, the staff were apologetic and offered complimentary coffee, which was appreciated. However, given the premium prices, the overall experience didn’t quite measure up—local cafes in the area offer better value and service. Visited on 13 January 2025 around 10 AM.

One of the many chains all around Australia serving as you probably guessed it, pancakes. Ranging from sweet to savory and covers breakfast/meal style or even dessert style, there is something for everyone. We tried their basic sweet pancakes with strawberries and blueberries. The pancake itself is soft, unfortunately not fluffy as we liked it and the sauce is too sweet. The tuna salad was normal and the loaded wedges were better than we expected. It has crispy bits, and the gravy on the side is better so it doesn't make the wedges soggy. The decor is whimsical and fun for kids but has a very similar vibe to any other branches. Food - 5 Service - 6 Vibe - 7 Price - $$

I came into The Pancake Parlour quite early and had the entire restaurant to myself. The 24hr opening time was still kept and it brought back a flood of fond memories from late night meals after a big night or childhood memories with the family, making it a wonderfully nostalgic experience. I ordered the classic bacon with two fried eggs, and they were prepared to perfection – the eggs were cooked just right with slightly crispy edges, while the bacon was crispy and delicious. The pancakes were also spot on, golden and fluffy, just like I remembered from my younger days. The cappuccino was a highlight on its own and hit the spot. The restaurant’s ambiance, with its cosy furniture and familiar decor had not changed which was perfect and enhanced the experience and made it feel like stepping into a comforting memory. It’s rare to find a place that so perfectly captures both flavour and atmosphere. Service was excellent too.

Always on point! Stopped in for lunch recently and the staff seated us straight away at a booth. We grabbed an oversized menu and all began to ponder whether we were going to order savoury or sweet dishes. The staff gave us just the right amount of time to decide on our order and we decided on the Traditional Bacon and Eggs (which include two pancakes) and the Chicken Strips and Cottage Fries plus a Vanilla Swiss Mountain Malt Shake. The food came out quickly and everything was just as pictured (a rare thing these days) and tasted fantastic. We were particularly pleased to see that they are maintaining their meal sizes and not substituting ingredients during this current climate - which is such a good thing to know when ordering. It was definitely a trip down memory lane and - after all these years - knowing what to expect at Pancake Parlour.

I really enjoyed my experience here. The staff were kind, and the food served was amazing - I loved every bit. Perfect for the cold weather; warms you up and makes you feel nice and cozy. I definitely recommend :) Thank you

Staff were friendly and it has a nice atmosphere. The drinks were great but the food wasn't too good. Ordered the steak Medium and it came out well done and a bit tough, the salad that came with the steak had a very bitter flavour and the Dijon mustard on the side was overwhelmingly spicy and bitter, not at all a good choice of sauce for a steak. Definitely not worth $45.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We booked the outdoor area at The Pancake Parlour for my daughter’s birthday party, and the experience was absolutely incredible. The staff were so kind and accommodating—nothing was too much trouble. Anything I needed, they made it happen, and they even followed up with a phone call to make sure everything was perfect. Their attention to detail and genuine care made the day so special for my daughter and all our guests. Thank you for making her birthday one to remember. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was so delicious and I highly recommend ordering the extra side. The guacamole was mind blowing and turned the breakfast into a traditional Mexican meal 😋 so yum and it made my day 🤩 Thank you. Flat white ☕️ was lovely ☺️

A long wait , the barramundi was lovely the salad was ordinary , the two serves of delux fries was terrible , burnt so badly it was largely inedible… pancakes were nice but delivered at the same time as mail meals and the ice cream melted by the time I was ready to eat , when I asked for it to be placed in the kitchen until I had finished my main I was told no and I should have ordered it separately .. dressings not brought out with meals , drinks not served until meals and that was after waiting a good 15 minutes to order them after trying to grab attention of wait staff who would look straight at you and ignore you.

Wrong food served then picked up from my table & served to another table & I have already touched the food.. when I said that to waitress you can’t give the dish to another table because I have touched the food… she was rude & not sorry for the way she handled the food… she should have taken back to the kitchen & put it in bin & serve new meal.. .. if this is happening in front of customers I can imagine what’s happening in kitchen… I love pancake parlour & old regular customer but never trust this store again

Celebrated my brother's birthday here and the customer service was excellent. My brother loved the food and you can't go wrong with a pint of softdrink or root beer. No additional service charge for our BYO birthday cake and they kept checkimg on how our food went so a big thumbs up for service. The pancakes were good and there were a lot of savoury and drink options. Would I come back? Yes, with my family or friends. It's a great group venue.

The Pancake Parlour has quickly become my go-to place for breakfast! As a pancake lover, this place is absolute heaven – the pancakes are always fluffy, delicious, and perfectly cooked. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet or savoury, there’s something on the menu for everyone. The interior is just as impressive as the food – warm, stylish, and super inviting. It’s the perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or enjoy a peaceful solo breakfast. The staff are friendly and the service is always top-notch. If you haven’t been yet, you're seriously missing out. The Pancake Parlour is a must-visit – trust me, once you try it, you’ll keep coming back!

We've come 3 times in the past 12 months. Becoming a bit of a tradition. Always know what we are getting and there is yet to be an average serving. Quality food, quality service, quality coffee. Kids love it - but who doesn't love pancakes? They always have the kids menu and crayons ready. Good to see they change the colouring in from time to time. Been getting the big country breakfast each time. A generous serving and always cooked to perfection!

Visited Pancake Parlour for the first time for lunch on my daughter’s 5th birthday – and she absolutely lovvvved it! The pancake spread was endless and incredibly tempting. I also tried the savoury crepe and really enjoyed it. I’m not usually a fan of chocolate milk, but everything else made up for it. The ambience was warm and welcoming, the service was great, and most importantly – my daughter left happy. Looking forward to coming back soon to try more from their menu!

The pancake parlour has always been a great place to visit whether it is for a breakfast, dinner or even a late night sweet treat. I came here with a bunch of my friends and we were sat immediately. We used the QR code to order our food which made it easy to split the check. I got the golden daytime sundae which was to die for! It was the perfect amount of crunch and sweetness. I will definitely be back.

We had such a lovely morning at the school holiday kids’ decorating session at The Pancake Parlour! 🍓🥞 I love how we can always rely on them to have allergen-friendly options for my child with anaphylaxis, they honestly go above and beyond to make it safe and enjoyable. The kids got colouring sheets at the table, the staff were super friendly, and the pancakes with toppings were a huge hit. At $12.50 per child, it’s such a fun, stress-free activity that kept the kids entertained and fed. Delicious, inclusive, and always a winner for us. Highly recommend!

A wonderful experience with ‘ build you own pancake’ for the school holidays. The staff, although clearly busy with a massive amount of customers were all energetic, happy to help, cleared tables and had orders coming out very quickly. The manager was extremely polite and showed you to your table. He kitchen staff, we’re all working as one. There was an impressive amount of pancakes flying out of the kitchen. I didn’t expect too much going in there, BUT I was very impressed. A credit to everyone who put on an amazing activity.

Lucky to have a PP near us for late night dinner/ suppers! Fairly big branch and gets busy on Friday and weekends. Service can be a bit slow though. Tried the new winter parlour menu on recent visit. Decent food but prices are steep for what they are.

As the name suggests, this place serves pancakes—and they consistently deliver on quality desserts. With a rotating selection of creative flavours, you’ll never get bored!

The food I had was great and worth it. Pancakes, coffee and shakes are top notch. The environment is also excellent for group/family meetings and loud debates. Four star given here is equivalent to 8 out of 10

Came with the children as a family of 5 for a special afternoon treat. Pleasantly surprised to find a discounted summer menu (half price menu items when temperature is above 25 degrees C). Was seated very quickly, had to order online for the half price promotion. All the staff were very friendly, food was delightful and came out quickly.

I’m a frequent customer at the Northland branch and am usually served by Malek who is always bubbly and welcoming. She makes sure everything is to our liking and always greets us with a smile on her face. Thanks for making our experience here so great!

Came here for the Winter deal and the app wasn't working for me and others. But let me say, service...was absolutely amazing. From the beginning when we got seated, the waitress was lovely full of smiles and offering her assistance. Then we called over a waiter because the winter offer wasn't working on the app. The manager and waiter tried to help us but for whatever the reason, it just wasn't working. It worked out in the end but I'd like to comment on the patience and attentiveness from all the staff members ! Loved their service ! In terms of food, it was a bit small for the price we were paying but it always delicious. The plate however was quite oily on the edges...but other than that it was lovely !

I had a pleasant experience at Pancake Parlour. I ordered a pancake with fresh strawberries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which was a great balance of sweet and creamy. The second pancake with scrambled eggs and potato was delicious and satisfying. The big jar of orange juice was incredibly fresh and refreshing. Overall, it was a delightful meal with good portions. A solid 4-star experience, though the service could have been a bit quicker. Would definitely come back!

The service was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Food was great too unfortunately I only managed two pictures. Something for management to take note, we ordered the kids Fish and Chips, my 5 year old managed to pick out a 5cm fish bone. Might be a one off issue but should reflect it to the suppliers, not all kids would be able to pick out a bone or worst bite into it. I didn’t take a picture of it but gave the server on-site a heads up. Parents, just be careful if you are ordering the Fish & Chips.

Love this pancake parlour in northlands. It’s welcoming, Friendly young man greeted us and showed us to our table, food so delicious especially the half price menu. Salad so freshly made. Coffee was perfect and pancakes never disappoint.

So I received a $25 off food voucher to celebrate the re-launch of the Rewards program. Instore I ordered online but couldn't apply the voucher. The waitress said she would apply it at checkout. At checkout I was told it couldn't be processed as I'd ordered less than $25. And then the Manager came and told me it was my problem 🙄.

Absolutely loving the winter menu at Pancake Parlour Northland this season! The dishes are warm, comforting, and packed with flavour — perfect for chilly Melbourne days. The standout? Their 50% off when it’s under 10 degrees deal — such a clever and generous promo that makes indulging in pancakes feel even sweeter! The staff are friendly and welcoming, they helped my friend with his pancake parlour app as it wasn't working properly, and the atmosphere is always cozy. Whether you're craving a classic short stack or something more decadent like their hot chocolate pancakes, everything is consistently delicious. Highly recommend stopping by during winter — especially when the temperature drops. You’ll walk out full, happy, and feeling like you’ve scored a real treat. 🥞❄️

It is one thing to have great food but another to also have great service staff. I come to here more than i probably should but it is a mice experience and the food comes out hot. Staff are always polite and take the time to remember their regulars

Took my daughter for a treat. Ordering through QR wasn’t a problem. They’ll take your order if necessary. Service wasn’t great though. Food and drinks took ages to come out and it wasn’t busy. Must say love the winter deal of 50% when weather is under 10c Although it used to be the whole menu but now it’s a small selection but still makes the meal more affordable.

What aaaa worst experience we had it was so so so bad I would never ever going to come even if they offer us free food. first we waited at a table so someone can come and clean the table as table had food which was eaten by previous customers but nobody came there was only one waitress working cleaning serving doing everything. We ordered food it was 25$ pancake and when serving came it was so tiny that we had eat again from other cafe. We order coffee and they give us coffee when we had finished our food so so so so bad taste bad burnt pancakes bad service bad serving size everything is just bad. They charge so much they should put fresh fruits instead they put frozen raspberries in my pancake which gives me tummy ache and I was so sick of it I had to rush to toilet every 2 hours it was awful experience eweeeeeeee

Consistently good food and service! We feel welcome every time we visit and find the food is always to a great standard. Gluten free and vegan options are available, and they taste incredible. Be aware, there can be longer wait times during peak periods, like weekends.

Worst than I expected. 3 visit nothing change. Poor service. Overcooked and dry. Not because I like pancakes. I been to better places. In my opinion.

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of taking the kids for a surprise visit to the pancake parlour on a Friday evening. We were met by the lovely Jess who I can honestly say was the best waitress we’ve ever experienced! I say that as someone who has dined all over the world from fast food to fine dining and everything in between. She made the whole evening such a joy. She was polite and engaging and had the kids giggling and smiling the whole time. At no point did we ever have to wait with her always appearing just as we needed her but without being intrusive. As we had allergies she was more than helpful when it came to deciding appropriate items in the menu and happily shared what the specials were when we weren’t sure from the names alone. The food as always was super delicious and we really enjoyed the pistachio specials they had. My daughter with the allergies loved her vegan pancakes. They are such a fluffy pancake and taste so nice. While we dine at the pancake parlour multiple times a year this visit truly was a stand out for us due to the exceptional service from Jess. We did pass on our thanks and experience to management but also wanted to further share our experience via a review. If she hasn’t been promoted yet she would be well deserving of one!!

The interior is beautiful well dimed and great night time dessert place the lovely waitress didn't get her name but she wore the hijab had great service and provided crayons and paper prior to even asking & was very quick and attentive with orders and food. I ordered the delicious Dubai pancakes and mini strawberry pancakes very fresh

I understand it's Mothers Day and it's a busy day however be prepared! I have always loved The Pancake Parlour but my husband never has because everytime we have gone we have had a bad experience. Today was no exception. My husband booked almost two months ago for today's lunch. When we arrived the four of us were placed at a table for two people all squashed. I asked a few times if we could move as there was larger tables available. I was told sorry they are reserved. The whole time we were there those tables were not used. We ordered our food. 45 minutes later we received our drinks. 15 minutes later we received half the food. We were told the rest of the plates will be 5 minutes. 15 minutes later the rest of the food came. Lucky we didn't order sides as our plates were half hanging off the table. So uncomfortable! The pancakes were thrown onto the plates. Ice cream melted which makes me think the plates were sitting on the pass for a while before being served. Not a great experience again. I will not waste my time going here again!
