Pastry shop
Roselle Desserts is a charming bakery located in Corktown, Toronto, known for its creative twists on traditional pastries and delightful crêpes, tea, and coffee. The bakery was founded by pastry chef Stephanie Duong and her partner Bruce Lee in 2015. Duong's background includes experience at the three-Michelin-starred Regis et Jacques Marcon in France and other impressive roles in France and Hong Kong.
Definitely one of the best pastry shops in Toronto. I’ve tried their Earl Grey and Strawberry Parfait, and I prefer the vanilla-based soft serve from the parfait over the Earl Grey. I’m not saying their Earl Grey isn’t good, but I would prefer a more pronounced taste of Earl Grey. That said, both soft serves come with an amazing texture, mouthfeel, and the perfect level of sweetness. I’ve also tried their Pistachio and Strawberry cake cups, both very nice. I appreciate that Rosella keeps their desserts in a well-balanced sweetness, allowing me to taste the different ingredients dancing together in the cup. They didn’t put cake in the pistachio one; instead, they used puff pastry. I am not a big fan of it, but I do think it’s a good choice, as it goes super well with their amazing pistachio cream. I find their Madeleine a bit dry, but I think I taste almond flour in it, which makes the taste less flat. I’ll definitely try other items from them in the future.

4/5 Amazing little bakery/pastry shop in Leslieville Toronto The Earl 10/10 🙌🏼 Maple Black Walnut Honey Cake 9/10 🙌🏼 Earl Grey Shortbread Cookies 10/10 🙌🏼 These are just some of the treats I tried and they were incredible 4/5 stars because of price it’s not exactly wallet friendly especially when you are ordering large quantities of treats I spent around 57$ on 6 items 🫣 Earl Grey Soft serve is what they are most known for in the summer months but everything they make is made with the best ingredients and the quality is not your typical margarine whip overly sweet kind of dessert it’s definitely worth a visit or two Their hours make it tricky for those outside of Toronto to get their hands on their products as they are only open a few days a week with limited hours and products that run out fast! I still loved my desserts I will be back for their earl grey soft serve 🍦🫖💕
Anais P — Google review
Absolutely outstanding patisserie. Every visit to Roselle feels like a little celebration of taste — their desserts are crafted with remarkable precision, creativity, and genuine passion. The eclairs, mille-feuille, and their signature Earl Grey soft-serve are all executed to perfection. You can sense the French training behind every detail, from textures to balance of flavors. The space is bright and inviting, the staff always kind and attentive, and everything feels thoughtfully designed. Easily one of the best dessert spots in Toronto — refined, consistent, and worth every visit.
Sergei K — Google review
I had the fraisier, Earl grey mousse and a slice of mango passion fruit sponge cake. They were all good but I thought overpriced for what they were. Tasted good… but not amazing. The service was nice. I’ve been there for their soft serve with strawberries sundae and it was good but, again, I found it more expensive than what I thought it was worth.
Cathy B — Google review
Roselle doesn’t just do desserts, they do works of art you can eat — and “Next Level” soft serve is exactly that. Imagine Earl Grey tea got dressed up for a Michelin-star gala, then decided to throw in a zesty lemon surprise just to keep things playful. The swirl itself is impossibly creamy, perfumed with tea in the most delicate, elegant way. Then they go ahead and crown it with lemon curd, crisp pearls that crunch like tiny fireworks, and a buttery sable cookie just to remind you they’re not messing around. Every bite had me questioning if I should slow down to savor… or speed up before someone tried to steal it. Verdict: gone in minutes. This isn’t just ice cream. This is Next Level living. Would 100% recommend — bring a friend, but order your own because sharing is not realistic.

I live an hour away and roselle is most certainly worth the trek to this neighborhood. I wish they had longer hours. My fav things are the soft serve , the earl grey cake and the banana eclairs are to die for! The flavours are just perfect and not sickingly sweet. I thin the joke is they try and cater to Asian palates. I also appreciate how they partner with local producers for seasonal fruit items. I tried the corn cake on Friday and it was so unique and delicious. I dream about Roselle and it is my favourite bakery in Toronto !
Michelle L — Google review
Roselle is a hidden gem tucked into the heart of Corktown. It's my favourite go-to dessert spot in the neighbourhood, and often claims a lineup down the street (but don't worry, it moves fast). The Earl Grey ice cream and birthday cake cups are my personal favourites.
Ala O — Google review
Ordered the 9inch earl grey cake from roselle for the first time and let me tell you, it was the BEST earl grey cake I’ve had in my entire life. It’s so worth the price and my boyfriend and his friends really really enjoyed it. Everyone asked where I got it from. Will definitely be returning for future birthday orders 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Bakery
Blackbird Baking Co. in Kensington Market and Riverside offers a delightful array of baked goods, including baguettes, bread loaves, cakes, tarts, and buns. The principal owner and chef, Simon Blackwell, comes from a long line of family bakers and specializes in hand-crafted sourdough that is slow-fermented to perfection. This bakery has become a staple in Toronto's bread scene since its opening in 2014.
Best bakery in town, love their Cannelle, Croissant and chocolate cork. Mari was very gentle and kind with us.
Allan G — Google review
The bread at Blackbird has its own flavour, their subtle yet unique taste will fill your nose from a block away. My nose always pulls me back in, I can’t just walk by their tiny storefront! I love the wide variety of breads, we’ve tried many new types but my favourite remains the focaccia. My dad loves the sourdough ryes, my mom loves the pastries and my sister is on my team, team focaccia. I often stock up and bring bread when I go visit my fam. It freezes well but you’ll have to slice any unsliced loaves yourself. It is a little on the pricey side and they stopped making my favourite focaccia (pecorino) almost a year ago but it remains on the menu which makes me hopeful and then disappointed every time I go. The original taste is owed to the sourdough starter that’s been a family heirloom of sorts. Mad respect. Make sure you go earlier in the day if you have a specific or tall order as some breads sell out and they’re all made early in the morning.
Tyne G — Google review
oh my god these pastries were delectable. We went early on a Monday morning, and while a lot of the neighboring stores were closed, the smell of fresh pastries really drew us in. I had the pesto tomato pastry and also the almond croissant. Both were so fresh, flaky, and full of great flavor. This might have been the best almond croissant I’ve ever had. Loved it
Ethan — Google review
Delicious baked goods in an interesting neighborhood! I had a drip coffee and a kouign-amann. As soon as I finished my pastry I wanted another. Definitely stop by if you are in Toronto and take a stroll around Kensington Market. Seating is limited but was no problem for us when we arrived shortly after opening on a Saturday.
Alexia B — Google review
Ordered an apple pastry from here and it was affordable and very very delicious! I thought they were Amish but nope they just make good pastries. I wish the place was bigger though so i could lounge, work, and savor the baked goods... but other than that, all was perfect.
Leonard — Google review
Chocolate croissant wasn't as flaky as I'd like. The danishes were well made but a tad sweet.
Cody T — Google review
This bakery is special. You can tell it is loved by the locals for the wide selection of fresh breads but it’s worth a stop as a visitor for the pastries. The buckwheat financiers are exceptional. An excellent lemon tart, and viennoiserie as well.
Eldon M — Google review
Updated , I’m glad to hear that . Thank you for your response. I’ll visit again on the weekend. ======================== The multigrain bread is fresh and soft. Even though I ate it right after buying, I noticed quite a bit of stale smell and aftertaste. I’m curious if there’s a particular reason for using a lot of preservatives. I’d appreciate it if you could share the reason in the comments.

Forno Cultura is a stylish and inviting Italian bakery with a French influence, renowned for its artisanal baking traditions. While it's rooted in Italian culinary heritage, the bakery also offers notable French-inspired pastries and breads such as baguettes and croissants. With a commitment to quality and craftsmanship, Forno Cultura has earned a reputation as one of Toronto's top French bakeries.
As a traveler and amateur foodie, Forno Cultura lights everything I love about food. A trip to Toronto is not complete without at least a stop or two here. This is a local gem. The food - pastries - sandwiches - lattes are as fresh as it gets. And you get to see these artisans working their craft. An absolute must enjoy and the people watching is second-to-none.
Chris Y — Google review
Love this place! They have some of the best grab-and-go breakfast options in the city, and the cookies are a must — you really can’t go wrong with any of them. They’re a bit pricey for how small they are, but absolutely worth it for the quality and flavor. Not much outdoor seating, but there’s some available inside for when you want to enjoy your treats on the spot.
Naghmeh H — Google review
I got a recommendation to try this place in Toronto and I have to say that the culinary experience was somewhat underwhelming. Thing is - we went in with high expectations given the buzz, and I was a bit disappointed with the food. Not that it’s not good - on the contrary, if you like bread and pastries, this place does it well - but when it comes to breakfast sandwiches, I felt they were bland. Their coffee s good though - and they have this open kitchen concept which I thought was cool. Overall, it’s still is a place to try given the quality of the ingredients used - but if you like flavors - you might wanna stay away from the egg sandwiches. It’s also on the pricey side - we paid 43$ for 2 sandwiches and 2 flat whites + 1 baba au rhum.
Rana H — Google review
Everything I've tried has been delicious, from the cookies (my absolute favourite is amaretti di pistacchio) to the pizza slices which usually have seasonal toppings. You can tell the coffee is great quality. The staff is really lovely as well.
Christen — Google review
I was really impressed with the quality here! The bread is incredibly fresh and has a unique, interesting flavor. I tried one of their sandwiches and it was absolutely delicious — super fresh, tasty, and well put together. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate good bread and quality ingredients!
MrSorenaa — Google review
Forno Cultura on King has terrific coffee, excellent sandwiches, and a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you want to linger. The cappuccino I ordered was fantastic — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. My partner and I also loved the sandwiches; you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the bread is top quality. One small thing: unless I completely missed it, there didn’t seem to be a clear coffee menu inside. We ended up ordering a bit blindly, but luckily everything turned out great. There’s a chance I just didn’t spot it, but it might be helpful if the options were a little more visible for first-time visitors. The only other downside was how warm it was inside — even on a mild fall day (around 20°C), it felt noticeably hot. Otherwise, this place is outstanding and well worth a visit for anyone who loves great coffee, fresh food, and a relaxed café atmosphere.
Lucas C — Google review
I had high hopes for Forno Culture given all the buzz, but overall it was just okay. The sandwiches were fresh, but nothing particularly stood out in terms of flavor. Bread was decent, but a bit too chewy for my liking. The ingredients seemed good quality, but the combinations felt kind of safe and uninspired. Service was friendly, Prices are on the higher side, and I didn’t feel the experience or food quite justified the cost. Not a bad place by any means, but I’m not in a rush to come back. Might give it another try in the future to see if things improve.
Abby G — Google review
I feel like for a bakery, it was disappointing for the worst part of the sandwiches to be the bread. Very hard and dry, I fear they gave us bread from days before. The much drool sandwich was really good in its fillings but the rest I just couldn’t finish. I’m not sure if I’d go back.

Bunner's Bakeshop is a cozy bakery that specializes in vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free sweet and savory baked goods. Their treats are known for being sweeter and often topped with buttercream frosting. The shop offers a variety of classic nostalgic treats like carrot cake cupcakes, gooey cinnamon rolls, and the popular Supersonic cookie. For those looking for custom cakes, Bunner's creates beautifully designed options with creative flavors such as bourbon pear and vanilla bean or the Best Chocolate Cake Ever.
Bunner's Bake Shop in Kensington Market is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious vegan and gluten-free baked goods. They offer a wide variety of treats, from cakes and cookies to bars and other desserts. I was particularly keen to try their pies, but unfortunately, they were sold out by the time we arrived. This speaks to their popularity, so I'd recommend arriving early for the best selection. Despite missing out on the pie, I was still impressed with the other options available. I especially enjoyed their date squares, which were both sweet and chewy.
Joy P — Google review
This is a good place to stop in for especially to take out and walk around the Kensington market or bringing home or for a gift. Place is clean and products are properly merchandised without any cross contamination. Products are tasty but a little on the pricy side. Overall for the gluten free audience this is a great place. If you don’t need their specific food requirements it would make more sense to try alternatives.
Avy-Loren C — Google review
Wow soo many options ! I tried a cupcake and this jalapeño cheddar scone, miam ! Not dry at all, flavourful, I wish we had that shop in Montreal ! Everything is vegan and gf 🥰
Rachel T — Google review
This bakery shocked me in the best way. I’m honestly surprised the reviews aren’t stronger, because the desserts are fantastic. I’ve tried the vanilla cupcake, the red velvet cupcake, the brownie, and the cinnamon bun. All hits. The brownie is the one I keep thinking about… It’s a grab-and-go spot, no seating, which might explain some of the lower reviews. And the staff is hit or miss. The first time I went in, the woman working was great. Good energy, good vibe. The next two times, not so much. Nothing rude, just no spark for someone working in a bakery! Still, the desserts are legit. If you want quality vegan sweets, this place is it.

We hired Bunner's to make a gluten free and vegan cake for our wedding and had an amazing experience! They were so easy to work with, and created a cake with the exact vision I had in mind. It also tasted amazing - Bunner's makes the BEST gluten free and vegan desserts, and I am so glad we used them for our wedding! We highly recommend them as a wedding vendor!

Incredible Experience with Bunners! We had the absolute pleasure of working with Hannah from Bunners for our vegan, gluten-free wedding cake, and the experience was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. Hannah made the entire process fun, stress-free, and truly reflective of Bunners’ warm and vibrant brand personality. Not only was the cake stunning to look at, but it was hands-down one of the best vegan gluten-free desserts we’ve ever tasted—our guests couldn’t stop raving about it! The creativity, attention to detail, and love that went into every step of the process really showed. Bunners exceeded every expectation, and we couldn’t imagine celebrating such a special day without them. If you’re looking for a cake that’s as delicious as it is memorable, Bunners is the one!

So happy to find a vegan bakery with super tasty muffins and such friendly service! As a vegan, it’s rare to find good muffins, so this place really made my day. Hopefully, we’ll see more vegan spots and stores like this soon!

Nestled in a cozy space with minimalist decor, Butter Baker Market Café is a French-style bakery that celebrates the city's multiculturalism. Their delectable selection includes unique treats like The Earl Grey, Dalgona Coffee Cake, and Matchamisu alongside handcrafted croissants, danishes, and macarons from their sister brand.
I’ve been going here for years and it has never disappointed me. I love the monthly ice cream flavours and they are gorgeous!! The food was amazing. The waffles were so light but also the perfect texture. The syrup was also super light and enjoyable. I recommend everyone to come here
Melody C — Google review
Absolutely loved our visit to Butter Baker! 💛 I brought my mom to try their new menu, and we were both blown away. I had the Baker’s Breakfast — eggs, crispy potatoes, and toast — all perfectly cooked and super comforting. My mom tried the yuzu chicken and waffles, and let me tell you… those waffles were the best! Gluten-free, buttery, and perfectly crispy — she loved every bite. We also got to try their desserts: the caramel apple butter waffles were warm, cozy, and delicious, plus a slice of their house-baked banana bread that disappeared in seconds. To finish, we had the berry and custard soft serve, which we devoured even though we were full — totally worth it. We also enjoyed drinks — I had an iced matcha latte, and my mom got a hojicha latte. Both were smooth and flavorful. The food, drinks, and cozy vibes make this spot a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back! 🧇🍵🍦

We visited here for a Saturday brunch here and had an amazing time. The moment you enter through the market door, you’re fascinated with all the beautiful handcrafted local goodies. From jewelry, candles, party decorations to home decor and kitchen accessories, they have many cute options. Their café menu includes many great options from brunch menu to desserts and drinks. They have so many unique and creative cakes, waffles and brunch options. We ordered “Grilled Chorizo Croissant Benedict” and “Spicy Chicken Waffle” from brunch menu, “Mango Waffles & Crème” and “Raspberry & Pistachio Cake Slice” from the desserts menu and finally “Mocha” and “Matchamisu Cold Foam” from drinks menu. Everything was fresh and tasty. The spicy chicken waffle was the great combination of Korean fried chicken and waffles. The Grilled Chorizo Croissant Benedict was unique and flavourful. The Raspberry & Pistachio Cake Slice was one of the best cakes I have ever had; perfect level of sweetness. Mocha was beautifully designed and matchamisu was very creative. The staff are very friendly and make sure you have the best experience.

This is one of my favourite brunch spots in the city! Their chicken & waffles is my go to order & we love that we can end our meal off with a sweet treat. Their monthly soft serve is a must but their seasonal waffles with vanilla gelato is great. For fall, we tried the caramel apple butter waffle which was divine. The service is always great!
Kristen — Google review
I first tried the shoft serve over the summer and was immediately obsessed. When I found out they have a cafe and brunch options I had to visit! The waffles are absolutely incredible. I tried both the savoury and sweet options. Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Will definitely be back to try more!
Jen M — Google review
Get the raspberry pistachio cake, it’s miles better than their other cakes. Balanced well, “not too sweet” haha the other cakes were kinda lacklustre and if eaten side by side you would find the raspberry pistachio just takes over. Every time I go back to try a different slice, I shake my head in regret. Dine in service is pretty much scanning a QR code and prepaid, so equivalent to a McD . Which is fine but means you’re just tipping to sit there. The atmosphere is nothing to shout about, tucked behind the service counters there are some tables conveniently laid out. Might be tough to find a spot for a big group so I’d recommend take out if more than 3/4 People seem to get their ice cream and waffles most frequently. But I just go for the cake. Drinks and cookies are average. Eat the raspberry pistachio and move on.

Bought one 8” winter berries cake, the cream was so soft and lots of berries. Very nice cake. Their matcha cookie is must try item. The staffs are all friendly and helpful. Love this place.
Wen S — Google review
I had the strawberry frozen yogurt soft serve. It was a mix of strawberry and vanilla with freeze dried strawberries sprinkled on it. It was absolutely the best soft serve I've ever had in my life. I spent the entire time eating in total shock over how amazing it was. They rotate the flavours monthly. I'm going to go back every month to try whatever the current flavour is. I went back and got June's flavour, Pina colada. Also excellent but not quite as perfect as the strawberry was. July's blueberry and panna cotta was also exceptional. August's Mango Lassi was good as expected but maybe not as strong as the previous month's. I think it might be better to get just the mango instead of the swirl with frozen yogurt. Also the mango falls off very easily, so make sure you eat that right away! The sidewalk outside is covered in mango slices that fell off people's cones. Septembers' passion fruit, orange, guava mixed with vanilla is excellent as expected. Super fresh and fruity tropical taste. This might be one where you skip the mix and get just the fruit flavour. November's apple pie was excellent! I also tried a double chocolate cookie which was good, but nothing exceptional.

It offers an exquisite selection of confections, including croissants, cakes, and a pastel rainbow of macarons displayed behind glass counters. The bakery is renowned for its perfectly delicate and irresistible macarons, available in both traditional and unique flavors like cotton candy, cappuccino, and rose.
The employee who served us was so friendly, kind, and patient! She answered all our questions! Sorry I didn't get her name, but she was truly fantastic! Thank you for the wonderful service! 🥰🥰🥰 The desserts are delicious, and they look so pretty! You have to stop in and try something! And the Rose Vanilla Latte was perfect!! Can't wait to try the cakes next! 🤗🤗🤗

Totally fell in love with this place! 💕 The cappuccino was velvety and full of flavor, the pesto croissant was such a fun twist — buttery, flaky, and deliciously different. The dark chocolate? Pure bliss! 🍫✨ The vibe here is super chill and aesthetic — perfect little nook near Trinity-Bellwoods to sip, snack, and unwind. So many drool-worthy desserts to choose from! 😍☕️🥐

Such a cute little French dessert spot on Queen West! From the beautifully branded pints to the cozy patio seating, everything was super aesthetic. The dark chocolate ice cream with gluten-free biscuit was rich and decadent, and the macaron flavour was so fun. Follow @sippinginsix for more hidden gems like this! 🍦💕

When I first stumbled upon Nadege on Queen West in 2010, I had no idea I was about to walk into a place that would become so much more than a pastry shop to me. Back then, it felt like a breath of fresh air—a modern, clean haven offering a dazzling variety of delicious creations. I quickly learned that the magic behind it all was Nadège Nourian, a fourth-generation French pastry chef from Lyon. Knowing her family's rich history made every bite feel like a connection to a long, beautiful tradition of craftsmanship. Over the years, this place has become a constant in my life. It's where I go for the intricate layers of the Marie Antoinette cake, a true masterpiece of flavour and texture. The individual donut cakes are a sweet, delightful indulgence, and the canelés—my absolute must-have—are a perfect symphony of crispy, caramelized shell and soft, custardy center. They are the simple, elegant pastries I always return to, a little taste of perfection every time. But Nadege is more than just pastries. It’s a wonderful spot for a light breakfast, a quick snack, or a delicious small sandwich. It has been a quiet witness to so many moments, both big and small, in my life. Every visit feels like coming home, and with each canelé, I'm reminded of the simple joy of discovering something truly special. It’s a place that not only satisfies my cravings but also touches my heart with its unwavering commitment to beauty and flavour.

Nadège Patisserie is the kind of place that makes you pause mid-stride on Queen Street, as though the universe just whispered, “Yes, you deserve a treat today.” The moment you step in, you’re greeted not just by pastries, but by an atmosphere that hums quietly with intention — polished, deliberate, and effortlessly chic. The gleam of the glass cases, the careful arrangement of mini cakes and macarons, the soft clink of spoons against ceramic teacups — it all feels like a small, delicious theater. Every pastry is a performance. The croissants are flaky, buttery crescendos that yield in layers with a whisper, the macarons are jewel-like, pastel oases of almond and ganache, and the cannelés — oh, the cannelés — they are caramelized, tender little cylinders that somehow manage to be both humble and transcendent. Each bite feels like it’s been choreographed for maximum delight, and you find yourself pausing to savor the artistry before diving in again. If you’re seeking a patisserie that feels both intimate and grand, playful and precise, Nadège is it. Pop in for a single macaron or plan an afternoon around a tiered mini cake indulgence — either way, you’ll leave feeling that the world is a little sweeter, and maybe a little more beautiful, than it was when you walked in.

Nadège Patisserie is a dream! We had a danish and the most incredible lemon tart, both were absolutely delicious. A must-visit for pastry lovers!
Bia L — Google review
The cheesecake tasted really off, almost sour like it was about to go bad. Macarons also tasted old, like they’ve been sitting for days. For more than $40 you’d expect some quality. Wouldn’t even eat this if I got it for free. Used to love this spot. Yikes
Robert A — Google review
The place has maintained very high standards for food. I’ve always loved to drop a visit at Nadége because of their amazing croissants. Surprisingly, today I was told by the hardworking team that the payment policies of Nadége have changed and that they don’t accept cash any further. But as per my request, they did make an exception and I truly appreciated their support. I wish there was a different rating option for staff so I could rate them good. But for the restaurant, I think they’re degrading their customer experience by removing a 100% Legal Tender - Cash in their payment policies. This indirectly shows that they do not value the customers who want to pay through cash instead of debit / credit cards. Some people don’t want the big corporates (Banks) to handle their hardworking money, which is completely fair and sensible. I do also understand that it’s legal for private business owners to make their own payment policies. A big wrong move by Nadége in my opinion. I don’t know what was the idea behind this, but doesn’t seem a good one.

With locations in Queen East and Lawrence, this renowned bakery offers an exquisite selection of baked goods including scones, muffins, and biscuits. They are celebrated for their delectable treats and top-notch macarons in Toronto.
Bobette & Belle has been a go to for my family for 5 plus years since we moved to leslieville. The atmosphere is always warm and decorative for the seasons/holidays. We have so many memories with their famous cakes, cupcakes, pies and treats over the years. Our latest go to is the strawberry shortcake (we can’t wait to pick it up soon for my daughter’s 8th birthday). Looking forward to many more years of your delicious treats and good service.

Bobbette & Belle made the most incredible lemon cake for our vow renewal—it was an absolute showstopper. Elegant, beautifully crafted, and hands down the best-tasting cake we've ever had. Our guests are still talking about it! The artistry, attention to detail, and flawless execution made it such a highlight of our celebration. We’re so thankful we chose Bobbette & Belle for such a special occasion. Highly, highly recommend!

We got a cake from here for a birthday party. It was really tasty. The 6" cake was more than enough for our party of 8 people. I think you can get it for up to 10 people. The interior was nice. The staff could have made extra effort to help us choose the cake. They just waited for us to make a decision without explaining what's available or offering help.

What a beautiful patisserie. The brownie was excellent. Moist and not overly sweet. We absolutely loved their sticky toffee pudding. Best we've ever had!

We ordered the Ultimate Chocolate cake for a birthday celebration - after many suggesting this was one of if not the best cake in the city. It was fabulous. Great presentation just like the photos. Beautiful buttercream, rich dark chocolate flavour, 3x layers super moist and fudgey, and the brownies on top were delicious. Don't believe some of the bad reviews, the cake was awesome. Everyone raved about it. Also the maple pecan tarts, next level. We will be back!

We ordered a cake from Bobette & Belle and couldn’t be happier! From start to finish, the service was warm, friendly, and professional. The staff helped us choose the perfect design and flavour, and the final product was absolutely stunning, almost too beautiful to cut! Everyone loved it, the cake was moist, delicious, and a huge hit with all our guests. Thank you to the team at Bobette & Belle for making our celebration so special. We’ll definitely be back!

Placed an order ahead of time for floral-themed buttercream and vanilla cupcakes for an event. We received prompt confirmation of the order and communication was easy. Our order was ready at the agreed upon time and pickup went smoothly. The cupcakes were absolutely beautiful and travelled well - we received lots of compliments on their appearance. That said, the flavour and texture left much to be desired… the cupcake base was incredibly dry and tasted stale (despite us eating them within 2 hours of the pickup time). The buttercream was also very firm and lacked any sweetness, reminding us of refrigerated butter in both flavour and texture. Not sure if this was just an “off batch”, but it was quite disappointing.
Sarah H — Google review
My first experience trying the cupcakes was disappointing, but today I went in person to give them a second try and I was impressed. Walking in there is a calm atmosphere, beautiful displays and I appreciated the excellent customer service. The cupcakes were moist and not overly sweet, with really delicious flavour offerings. (Passionfruit; peanut butter and chocolate yummm, were my favourites) nothing like my first experience. I’m happy I came back and would definitely buy again!

Serano Bakery is a large counter-serve bakery that specializes in a wide variety of sweet and savory items, including custom options. They boast an extensive collection of Greek pastries, breads, and custom cakes. Additionally, the bakery features a Greek Food Market with imported cheeses, yogurt, olive oil, canned products, and more. Moreover, they offer distribution services to various businesses. The bakery is known for its creative cake designs and offers a convenient selection process through its website.
This place is a gem! Serano Bakery on Pape in Toronto has such a great selection of baked goods and treats. I came in for cheesecake (which was rich, creamy, and about $6.50 solid portion), but ended up leaving with way more. They have cannoli, butterfly cookies, fresh cheeses, and even gelato! The setup is simple, grab a number when you walk in and take a look around while you wait. The line moves pretty fast, and the staff are super efficient. Everything is well-organized, and the displays make it easy to spot what you want. Also love that there’s free parking right in front (around 10 spots). It’s a busy area, but cars come and go quickly, so it wasn’t too hard to get a spot. Overall, great service, fair prices, and delicious options. I’ll definitely be back.

I have been going to Serano since I was a child, but I am writing this review specifically to review my wedding cake. I placed an order via email with Maria, who was responsive and helpful. As far as I know, the cake was delivered to our complicated venue (on board a yacht at Harbourfront) on time and with no problems. The cake was ENORMOUS. We weren't expecting to get such a large cake and were so pleasantly surprised by this. This cake featured in all of our guests' summer instagram posts. Thank you to the bakers and the decorators! We loved our cake. It fit out 90s boat wedding vibe perfectly.

Everything we tried was so good, making it a must-visit spot for anyone who loves great Mediterranean treats. My absolute favorite is the Korne it’s a must-try! 👏🏻🏆🍨🍰

This place is always busy, but everything is well-organized - you take a number and wait your turn. There’s an incredible variety of desserts - it’s hard to choose! Absolutely loved this bakery! They have an incredible variety of baked goods—cakes, biscuits, pastries—you name it. I wasn’t sure what to get at first, but the staff were super friendly and helpful. They recommended two of their best biscuits, and I genuinely enjoyed both. It’s clear the team is knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Great spot all around, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Serano Bakery made the cake for our wedding. They did an amazing job of creating our dream cake based off of the design we wanted. They really out did themselves this time. The cake was so beautiful and very delicious. Great quality cake for a good price (we know how expensive wedding cakes can be). You cannot go wrong with Serano. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ho, let me tell you the difference between ordering online vs in person. I’ll keep my original review because I think it’s also important to mention. Updated Review: my husband and I stopped here for a birthday cake Saturday evening. We found the cake we liked, and we requested to write happy birthday. Everything looked good during initial inspection. We went up to the front cash to pay and the man in the white lab coat/man in cash was so rude & so disrespectful. He barely acknowledged us, throw the pin pad at me to pay and didn’t even bother to make any noise while we were leaving. When we got home, we found a hair sadly. Worse is, we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt except we are a black curly haired household and this was a brown straight hair. Either way, we enjoyed the online experience but won’t be bringing my business nor my coin here again. Old Review: Our custom cake order was AMAZING. The order experience was simple and I appreciate that they take half upfront, half when you go pick up the cake. We ordered online (email) and picked up when it was ready.

We stopped by to get dessert and were very impressed with their wide variety of options! Everything looked great, but we ended up going with a fruit tart and slice of baklava cheesecake. Both were delicious, and I would definitely return to this bakery to try more of their desserts!

Bakerbots Baking is a trendy bakery located near Ossington Station in Toronto, offering a diverse selection of cookies, sweets, ice cream sandwiches, and coffee drinks. The bakery provides an assortment of pies, tarts, cakes, cookies, and ice cream to satisfy your sweet tooth. It's the perfect spot for a quick treat accompanied by refreshing ice cream on a hot summer day.
We stopped in for iced coffees and some sweets. They have a great selection of sweets that they make in house; tarts, cakes, cookies and ice cream. Our iced americanos were great and we really enjoyed their pecan butter tarts. Couple things to note: No washrooms available. If they do, they were not clearly marked or clear to customers. They did have hand sanitizer available. They do have limited seating indoor and a couple spots outdoor. It’s a very small shop and the products are quite good. However it is not a spot that’s easy to sit and enjoy your order. I would recommend for take out.

So much to choose from! Ended up trying the pecan butter tart and it was the best I had. The inside was gooey. Will have to try their carrot cake next time! Friendly staff too. Update: Carrot cake is my all-time favorite dessert and I finally got a chance to try it here. It's the best I've ever had! It's moist, not overly sweet, and has an amazing texture.

Lovely bakery cafe! They offered plenty of options for cakes/bakery menu which all looked V yummy I tried the carrot cake and the sweetness level was perfect. It’s more of a home baked style cake, which made it more special. The sitting area is also very nice, with vintage furnitures adding up to its cozy vibe Would’ve been a regular customer if only I lived nearby 10/10

Amazing baked goods! Same owners as bang bang ice cream on Ossington, so you know it’s top tier quality and taste. My family and I’s favourites are the craq puff, sticky bun, cinnamon bun, and brownie! You honestly can’t go wrong with any baked good here.

Visited EVERY OTHER DAY during my stay in Roncy! In terms of variety and sophistication, best bake shop in the neighbourhood and possibly the best I’ve had in Toronto. My favourites are their cream puff series and the seasonal fruity chiffon cakes 🍰 both options would be best suited for those who aren’t into overly sweet treats. The mango and coconut chiffon cake is still my favourite of all the items I’ve tried. It’s light, refreshing, and flavourful - the best kind of cake for summer and doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. All their cream puff flavours are delicious, tried their vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, lemon and caramel. I must say that the caramel definitely left an impression as it tasted more burnt and Smokey, which is quite different from what I was expecting, in a good way so the sweetness wasn’t over powering at all. Highly recommend!

I wish I had the appropriate words to describe how every bite there feels. Everything is just that good. And the spot is very welcoming. I first went to try their delicious and viral banana pudding last year, but I had to come back to try more. The gluten free brownie, the jalapeño scones and their classic cinnamon rolls didn’t disappoint at all. Everything was amazing. Coffee was pretty outstanding too. The brownie, omg. I will come back for more. Soon. —— I just came back again 😂 to try the double moist mayonnaise cake. Please try that one too. Try everything.
Oriana R — Google review
Wow!!! This bakery is an amazing find in a city of tourist trap bakeries! Every item in there is so unique that i was stressing out when it came my turn to pick what i wanted. I ended up choosing a staple, a chocolate and lemon combo, in my the chocolate ganache cake and lemon curd crème puff. The chocolate cake was so decadent yet the chocolate wasn’t all that sweet so the combination made the cake just perfect! I wanted to try something new, and i saw the crème puffs just looked so pretty that i needed to get one. The puff pastry was perfectly well made, the creme as well was splendid, but i feel as if the combination of the very sweet creme and very sweet lemon curd, was just too much that you couldn’t take very many bites. It was also soggier than i would have liked it, but that was also because i tried it at the end of the day, so it was probably my fault for that reason. I really wanted to get their banana pudding but i didn’t see it until after i ordered and i didn’t want to over do it. Only other downside i would say is that it is a very small inside and only so many people can fit, and when you are ordering, it feels overwhelming and overcrowded. But I would definitely come back here again and recommend to anyone visiting toronto!
Ana C — Google review
Tried their pastries and desserts for the first time. They had a huge selection of different pastries, cakes, cookies, etc on display. I got a few items and I thought it was just okay, it could be because the items I chose had really similar flavours. I also got the banana pudding that everyone’s been talking about and I thought it was pretty good. Staff were super kind and friendly as well.

Wanda's Pie in the Sky is a cozy bakery located in Toronto's vibrant Kensington Market neighborhood. This charming establishment offers a variety of homestyle pies, cakes, and other delectable treats. It's a popular spot for dessert lovers, known for its mouthwatering pies like Black Forest, Chocolate Banana, Rainbow, Lemon, and Mango Chiffon Cheesecake. Whether you're craving fruit pies, cream pies, or custard and nut pies, Wanda's has it all.
This place always has a warm, homey vibe to me whenever I visit. The staff are also warm and friendly. They have a wide selection of pies to choose from, as well as other pastries and even savoury food. I had a slice of the Wild Blueberry pie with a mocha. The pie was tasty. I like the texture of the dough. The blueberry filling is a bit tart, but not overwhelming. My only negative is it is a pretty expensive slice, and the portion is not the biggest. The mocha was also nice, and I liked the depth of the espresso flavour along with the chocolate.

They have the best apple crumble pie I’ve ever had!! There was no wait, service was pretty quick and they warmed up my apple pie. I also got the 6inch pumpkin pie, it was alright but I’ve had better and wouldn’t get it again. They had a really nice patio and plenty of seating, it was very pleasant. I look forward to coming back and trying their other yummy pies!
Vivian I — Google review
there are so many choices of pies and treats at wanda’s, but honestly i think the best thing you can get is the pear cheddar grilled cheese — IT WAS PRETTY DARN AMAZING. while the sourdough bread was grilled to a crunchy crispy perfection, the interior was full of warm, melty, gooey, mellow-tasting cheese; a generous amount of wonderfully softened sweet, fruity pear slices; and silky soft caramelized onions. it may not look like an impressive sandwich, but its super comforting and absolutely perfectly for fall. on the other hand, i don’t think wanda’s pies were super lifechanging. they weren’t super fresh, the crust wasn’t very buttery or prominent, and the fillings were just quite sweet and mushy — although it’s not like they were bAD pies. i tried the apple crumble pie, which was full of a strong tart apple flavour; the pumpkin pie, which was like a creamy and light mousse that didn’t have a very strong pumpkin/spice taste like i was expecting??? and the bottom felt a bit underbaked and soggy; the chocolate pecan pie, which was mostly a very syrup-like sweet paste with large chunks of nutty pecan to balance the sugariness; and the carrot cake, which was honestly very disappointing because the frosting was just way too thick and sweet for me. also, they didn’t have ice cream/whipped cream when i went, and my “heated” apple crumble pie was not really warm at all which was sad. there are also a LOT of bees and flies and birds flying if you’re dining in.
Katelynn C — Google review
Star of the show was the key lime pie. Just delicious! Really fun and eclectic vibe, suits the Kensington area well. Fun to eat pie while people watching out on the patio. There’s a piano inside where a patron was playing a silly little tune. I love places like this.

Cool place to grab a pie and a coffee in Kensington market. Staff are friendly and professional. It can be a bit hectic in the weekends, but the vibes are great. Come here for a good bite and cup of Joe.
Assaf G — Google review
Went there to try the World Series, Coconut Cream Pie, that Joe Carter had the morning before he won the baseball series for Toronto. I can see why...the crust was flaky and moist, the cream was light and delicate. The filling of the pie had the perfect sweetness too. Definetly a pie worthy of a championship title. Love Kensington Market atmosphere, with patio sitting in front of bakery. A couple of dine in seats as well. Layout of bakery was good and staff were pleasant. Definetly will be returning to try more of Wanda's pies.
Sally — Google review
I placed a custom order for a German Chocolate Cake (10”) for $70 + tax, and also picked up two small Coconut Cream Pies and a slice of Mango Cheesecake, spending around $130 in total. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with everything I tried. Since this is a local, artisanal bakery, I was expecting desserts made from scratch using pure ingredients, but that clearly wasn’t the case. The coconut filling on the German Chocolate Cake tasted artificial, more like a sugary, out of box, paste mixed with sweetened shredded coconut and pecans, rather than the traditional cooked filling made with butter, eggs, milk, and coconut. There was no depth of flavor, just a strange, dry, artificial icing-like texture. This was meant to be a 10” cake for a group of 10, but I had 15 people at my event, and as you can see from the photos, almost no one ate it. The Coconut Cream Pies were also very underwhelming, lacking flavour entirely. The Mango Cheesecake was the best of the bunch, but still nothing memorable. Overall, I was disappointed by both the taste and quality of the cakes and pies. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend anything from this bakery.

I ordered a donut tower with a small cake on top for my wedding. This company is non-responsive. You will not know if your product will ever arrive because they don’t answer the phone , it tells you not to leave messages and they don’t respond to emails. They had said that they would set up the tower for me and were scheduled to arrive at one. I bought the stand and had it with me at the venue at 11:45 and had been informed that they had already been there and just left the pastries for the staff to set up. They did not do a good job of it but I don’t blame them at all, that was not their job. The donuts were dense and not fully glazed . No one liked them. The cake on top was absolutely delicious. But I would never order from this company again. I found it very unprofessional, especially when dealing with something as important as a wedding, I would have expected more. I don’t have photos because it looked so pathetic we didn’t take any.

You know the saying, “it’s as easy as pie”? Well, dare I say the new saying should be “it’s as easy as cupcake bouquets”?! (Really rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?! 😛😂) I never thought of myself as a baker, but when you have someone bake the cupcakes for you, and make the frosting for you, and provide the decor to bring your cupcakes to life, it’s not as hard as it looks. I can now happily say I made myself one fabulous cupcake flower bouquet. You may notice from my pictures, that I chose some abstract designs, but I appreciate that my creativity wasn’t stifled. Such a fun idea for a bridal shower 👰‍♀️❤️

I was looking forward to coming here specifically because the donuts looked so good. Was I mistaken. I bought 4 donuts - cookies n cream, strawberry jam, coconut cream, and raspberry cream trifle. The donut was kinda dry/dense. The toppings were either tasteless or overly sweet. I didn't really enjoy any of them. I'm pretty disappointed that I spent $26.43 for this...would not come here again. I do appreciate the friendly customer service though.

From classic butter croissants to seasonal matcha Mont Blancs, the pastries are known for their balanced flavors without being overly sweet.
Absolutely the best bakery! Have been coming to Mon K for years and always blown away by how delicious everything is! The croissants (chocolate almond, cinnamon, bechamel and bacon) and danishes (blueberry) are phenomenal! Incredibly flaky, buttery pastry -- delicate and flavourful. We buy their Chestnut buche de Noel every Christmas and it's always a showstopper. Their quiches and ham and cheese baguette sandwiches are super for lunch. They always have a weekly special -- never hesitate to grab one! Highly recommend!!

The prices are reasonable and every pastry I tried was delicious. I went a bit late, so some of the ones I wanted were already sold out. But I picked up almost everything that was left in the display fridge (except the whole cakes), and they were all great. I especially liked that nothing was too sweet. The level of sweetness was just right. Not really a complaint, but if I had to point out something, everything is takeout only, even if you want to dine in. Also, maybe because it’s so popular, many items sell out quickly. I really wanted to try the strawberry yogurt something and the chocolate something cake, but they were already gone. I live a bit far, so I’m not sure when I can go again, but I definitely want to come back for more!

This is my favourite type of small BUISNESS. Owed and operated by artisans proud of their creations. Proud they should be. Wonderful bakery. My favourite item was the puff pastry filled with perfectly balanced apple and cinnamon. Clean and well lit.

WOW! This place serves ambrosia, food for the gods! Who would have guessed this humble non-descript patisserie makes cheesecake so good that the gods would want more! They're also viennoiserie. Their almond croissants and pain au chocolat are also heavenly.

The mont blanc was delicious and the cream puff was filled with so much yummy vanilla cream. Both desserts were amazing!

My family recently got some savoury and sweet pastries from this little patisserie and everything was absolutely lovely! For savoury, we got their Croissant Sandwiches including Egg Salad and Ham & Cheese. Both were flaky, delicious, and you could tell were freshly made! For sweet we got a Dark Chocolate Tart and two Matcha Tiramisu cakes, which were all pieces of art. The Matcha Tiramisu was creamy, luscious, light and not overly sweet. They were my favourite of the whole bunch and were absolutely DIVINE! We also got four of their Cream Puffs and one Coffee Chocolate Tart. The Cream Puffs were so fluffy and not overly sweet. The Coffee Chocolate Tart was also fantastic. Their other pastries and danishes are luscious! The staff were helpful and prompt at packing our rather large to-go order! This is a lovely place for pastries, whether you’re craving sweet or savoury!

Did you know French croissants made in Tokyo taste better than those made in Paris? Fortunately, we're able to experience the same Japanese influence locally, right here. Everything this little pastry shop makes is the best, including a high variety of French puffed pastry as well as beautiful pies and cakes, prepared sandwiches, salads and more. You will not be disappointed. Upd 06/15/2024 Always the best, Absolutely!

Amazing pastries and staff. We had the raspberry jam French beignet and the French toast. The French toast was amazing, do not sleep on that. The raspberry jam was very good. It is a little pricey and they only take credit over $10 so bring cash or debit. I highly recommend this bakery.

This beloved spot offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a favorite among locals and office workers. The cafe serves up an eclectic array of lunch options, including delicious sandwiches, salads, and brunch fare like creme brulee French toast.
I love visiting this place! The salmon sandwich is delicious! Salads, coffee and pastries are also good! This place is quite busy, but it's atmospheric and you can have a good breakfast!

The go to place for the BEST chocolate chip cookies in Toronto. Get the chocolate chip or chocolate chip walnut. The chocolate is always melty good. Don’t know how they do it! It’s been consistently good for at least a decade.

Hands down, they have the best cookies in downtown Toronto, worth every penny! My favorite is the chocolate walnut cookie. The place smells amazing, and the staff are super friendly. I can’t wait to try more cookies!

Stopped by Le Gourmand for coffee and dessert, and it hit the mark completely. The iced Americano was strong but smooth — exactly what you want on a slow afternoon — and the Basque cheesecake was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Great vibe overall: relaxed but busy enough to feel alive, with friendly staff who actually seem to care. It’s the kind of café that makes you linger a little longer than planned.

Stumbled across Le Gourmand while strolling around Queen St W. The Interior is beautifully designed. Their beverages and desserts were delicious, and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly as well. We got the Biscoff Coffee Latte, Passionfruit Lemonade, and a peanut butter cookie - all of which I highly suggest is worth the try. Highly recommended and would definitely return when visiting Toronto again!

Almond Butterfly Bakeshop & Cafe is a popular spot in Toronto known for its delicious gluten- and soy-free treats, as well as a variety of espresso drinks. Since opening its Harbord location in 2014, this bakery has been dedicated to making gluten-free food taste amazing. With west-end locations offering a mix of bistro, bake shop, and cafe vibes, Almond Butterfly caters to those with dietary restrictions without compromising on flavor.
Ok - I want to say that my photo does not do it justice, but it was a beautiful cake. It was creamy, rich and had a distinct coffee flavour in the icing. The cookies on top were a great touch as well, and it certainly was enough for 12-14 portions as advertised. I thought that it would be far less, but the cake was huge. I picked it up almost exactly at my set pick up time and it was quick. If you’re looking for a gluten free cake in the GTA, please try out this shop!

Nice gluten free bakery. Prices are a little high, but that’s normal for gluten free. It was very busy and the line moved slow at first, but everyone is excited to try the coffee and baked goods. I would’ve liked to see some pastries like croissants, but they are harder to make gluten free I am sure. I had one of the cookies, which was big and sweet.

The cutest Cafe and Bakery! The vanilla iced coffee from here is so good and has become one of my favourites! They also have so many Dairy free and Gluten Free sweets. As someone with a dairy sensitivity this is the perfect spot! I highly recommend stopping by 💕

This was just a great find west of the U of T St. George campus and the Spadina streetcar. Handheld sandwiches took about 15 minutes for our orders, and they were served warm and were great with plenty of fresh veggies. Gluten-free bread was soft yet firm in holding the sandwiches together. Nuts present, with one peanut butter cookie offering. GF cupcake with no nuts was not a cross-contamination issue for us with also a peanut allergy. There are 5 bar seats facing our the window and a couple small tables outside.

Fantastic iced soy latte, I got it every time! The baked goods are incredible, even compared to ones with gluten. In many cases (unless they're also vegan), I couldn't even tell they were gluten-free. If also vegan or dairy-free, things are often missing something, like moisture or texture. I also tried most of the cupcakes: -vanilla/chocolate is excellent -PB cup with chocolate cupcake base is the BEST imo -chocolate espresso is very good -s'mores is okay My favorite baked item is the Paleo Muffin! Dense, yummy, and moist. The peanut butter cookie and sugar cookies are good, but a little crumbly. The chocolate chip cookie (not vegan) is EXCELLENT! Chewy, rich, and well-balanced. The banana pecan muffin is also very good. The hot chocolate is creamy (with whole milk, of course) and delicious. The peanut butter oat energy bites are yummy, too! They often have free cupcake samples and offer day-old baked goods at reduced cost, which I often bought. This is my favorite cafe of a vast many in Toronto!

I've never been to a bakery dedicated to gluten-free with so many vegan options. They taste better than most cookies. I'd put them up as the top tier cookie experience. Just fantastic baked goods. They kindly explained to me how they make their baked goods, what kind of flours they use, and some recommendations for me. Highly recommend you try out their gluten-free vegan stuff, it tastes just as good as any excellent baked goods!

Love this place! The staff are incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere in this little cafe is warm and inviting. We were pleasantly surprised at how amazing the bacon crust/flatbread tasted! It was full of flavour; crunchy yet fluffy. You couldn't tell that this was gluten free because it tasted so good! We also tried the pecan loaf slice. It was very moist and tasty! Again, we couldn't tell it was gluten free based on the taste. We will definitely return to try some of the other things on the menu. Highly recommend this place for amazing gluten free snack options!

Hands down the BEST croissant I’ve had in Toronto. Crispy on the outside, soft and slightly moist on the inside, with perfect layers and an incredible buttery aroma. The balance of texture and flavor is just chef’s kiss. You can taste the quality and care in every bite. I wasn’t expecting much—but WOW. It blew both me and my husband away. Great sausage rolls and great chocolate chip oatmeal cookies! Made by hand and the service was lovely, by friendly folks who clearly love what they're doing. You have to pay for premium ingredients and the time it's made with care, so be forewarned it's not cheap, but it's worth it for a treat!

4.66 Stars. Just ate the pretzel bun ($1.49) at home - warmed it up and added Kielbasa and old cheddar with mustard - it was good. Service was great, changed our selection and so lovely about it. Bought a couple vegan items to share with family and they look great. We considered cool drinks but they were a bit pricey. I would recommend going here for sure.

We were walking in the area when we wanted something sweet and saw this bakery. They had a vast collection of items and we ended up going with the brownie. This is one of the most decadent brownies I've had as it had a good, harder texture on the outside and fudgy on the inside which made it so great. We shared one brownie between the two of us and it definitely hit the spot. They also have warm drinks available which I may get the next time I'm here.

I was at the bakery recently with a friend, sitting in the back enjoying some empanadas, when things got really uncomfortable. One of the staff members, a woman in a dress who seemed to be in charge… started yelling at another employee. It was loud enough that we both looked at each other, unsure of what was going on. The girl at the front noticed we were clearly uncomfortable and came to the back to quietly close the door. It felt like an attempt to remove us from the yelling, which we appreciated. The whole situation shouldn’t have happened, though. The food was good, but the atmosphere was completely thrown off. Hope the staff get treated better.

I had the sausage roll, which had a generous amount of meat. The chocolate croissant was buttery and flaky with a great chocolate-to-pastry ratio. There's limited seating available, and paid street parking is also limited.

Friendly staff and great bread. I especially appreciate that they cut the bread for you. I don't know why but most bakeries in Toronto don't cut the bread. This for me is a great selling point, I don't mind walking a.bit more if they can cut the bread for me.

Decent bakery with lots of interesting options. I tried their chai latte, almond chocolate croissant, and date square. My favorite was the croissant even though it wasn’t that fresh. I just wish they had seating spaces and didn’t use tea bags for their chai latte.

Sanremo Bakery is a beloved Italian-style bakery and deli in Etobicoke, known for its use of imported ingredients to create delicious goods. The bakery offers an array of delectable treats, including their famous soft and fluffy signature donuts and custom-made birthday cakes. The Bozzo family has been running this mom-and-pop shop for over 50 years, with the brothers working tirelessly to maintain the bakery's high standards.
We came across this iconic spot by chance while attending a seminar nearby, and I’m so glad we did. The coffee (latte and cappuccino) was great, and they have a big selection of hot and cold European food. One side of the bakery has cold cuts and cheeses, and the other side offers a variety of pastries you can enjoy inside or on their patio. It really feels like a little slice of Europe right in downtown Toronto.

First time here. Extremely organized, well staffed, amazing options, very fair prices and SO fresh!!!! Met Ed the baker. Awesome guy. What impressed me the most was him cleaning tables outside and went back inside and handed out a few free donuts to young kids who had sat down waiting for their dad who was grabbing lunch. Very Classy!!! I will be back for sure. Keep up the awesome work!!!
Tony D — Google review
First time visiting Sanremo - it can best described as organized chaos. I visited Sunday at lunch hour. The place was packed. As someone who has never visited Sanremo before I didn’t know the process so I got into line where the entrance door was. I learnt listening in from others that the line I was in was only for cold sandwiches. So I moved out of line and more into the shop. There was no line for hot sandwiches so I got a meatball sandwich, chicken parmesan sandwich and a mac and cheese. The lady prepared everything quickly and handed me the food and a paper with what I ordered. Then I was paraded to the cash register/coffee bar ordering area. I paid and gave my name which they told me to go outside and get the drink at the drink window. Since I had some time I went into the dessert line to get a few things. People were everywhere but everything went pretty smoothly and quickly. The prices were very affordable. I got the coffee crema (which everyone had sitting outside). It was very delicious. The meatball sub was basic (no cheese) - just bun, sauce and meatballs. It was alright. The chicken parm was better because it had cheese. The mac and cheese was decent - nothing amazing but still satisfying. The coffee was my favourite part by far. I’d go back to get another plus try different food items. There’s lots to choose from.

Worth the drive. I thought $7.49 for the pistachio crema was overpriced considering the regular felt too small buuuut it's decadent. Worth the trip and worth the price. Pastries are always a hit. I think I preordered doughnuts a few years back. I noticed they were almost sold out by the time I arrived today around 1-2pm. I've yet to try their savory menu. I plan to pick up some deli slices and sandwiches next time.. or food at the hot bar. Great bakery. I recommend giving it a try. Only gave it 4 stars because I felt like the lady at the deli counter ignored me.. but she greeted the two Caucasian men who entered 30 seconds after me. Could be an oversight but just my experience. I still recommend this shop for sure.

There was a big roast of porchetta sitting on the hot table, when I went back an hour later, they were all sliced up & displayed as sandwich form. It was a big sandwich and had a good amount of meat. For the size of sandwich price was resonable. Liked their fresh bread, chew of thick slices of pork, how they use good amount of herbs & spices, loved the spicy heat at the end. Paying $1.25 extra for generous amount of roasted red pepper worth it!

My mom has always loved this bakery but until recently I had never had the opportunity to try it. I finally went in with my husband a few months ago and tried some of their food and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff seemed friendly and the entire bakery was bustling with energy and customers. My husband loves their gelato, doughnuts, pizza and chicken parmesan and I adore the eggplant lasagna, pastas and pizza. I crave this so many times a week but refrain from over indulging. Since we both loved this bakery so much when I decided to plan a surprise 30th birthday party for my husband, I knew I wanted to have Sanremo cater for me. The initial inquiry with Brianna was alright through email and she helped clarify a few things, although I was a bit disappointed as I couldn’t eat at my husband’s party since they only do the vegetarian options on certain days I was a bit bummed out but decided to order the food for all the guests and just got my food from somewhere else for the party. Eliza was a gem when I called multiple times and helped me decide on amounts and made sure I had everything I needed for my event. I ordered around 45 chicken parmesans in red sauce which included buns, 3 full trays of penne rose, 2 full trays of cheese tortellini salad, 5 personal cheese pizzas, 20 garlic breads and a coffee thermos for rent which came with everything needed except non dairy milks! When I arrived to pick up the food, Eliza ensured I had everything I needed and helped load up my vehicle. The guests loved the food so much and everyone took some home as there was plenty of leftovers. The only thing I regret was ordering the garlic bread as it did go hard before guests had the opportunity to eat it but I should have foreseen that. Overall, it was a seamless experience and I want to thank Eliza a million times over for all of her supper throughout my planning process leading up to me dropping the coffee urn off a few days later.

We had a wonderful experience of Cakes at Sanremo. The quality was simply superb throughout our visit. We ordered a strawberry shortcake for my granddaughters, and it was absolutely exquisite - the perfect balance of fresh strawberries, light cake, and cream. You could tell it was made with care and quality ingredients. The bakery clearly takes pride in their craft, and it shows in every bite. This is definitely a place we'll return to for future celebrations. Highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional cakes and desserts.
Ramdas M — Google review
Stopped in for lunch and immediately saw why this spot feels like a neighborhood staple. By noon the line for hot food and sandwiches was long but moved quickly, so I started at the bakery and grabbed a few donuts and pastries while waiting. The Mortadella on focaccia was outstanding—airy bread with perfectly balanced flavors. My Pinsa Romana, a rustic flatbread topped with cheese and tomatoes, was light yet satisfying, and the pizza’s pillowy crust and fresh ingredients stood out. Everything tasted as though it had been made that morning. They also have an entire section devoted to fresh loaves and bagels, plus an outdoor order window for coffee and drinks. We tried the iced chai latte and pistachio caffè crema—both excellent. Outdoor seating under the awning made the meal feel relaxed and inviting. Fresh, vibrant, and efficient, this place is one I’d gladly return to—there’s still so much more to try.

Sud Forno is an Italian eatery that offers a unique dining experience with a main-floor cafeteria and an elegant, contemporary upper-level restaurant. The bakery showcases its rustic Italian staples, including the airy boule pane Pugliese and sourdoughs made with their special mother yeast. In addition to delicious pizza and gelato, Sud Forno takes pride in sourcing the best ingredients for their gelato from around the world.
The pizza here is truly special. You do not find dough like this just anywhere. The crust is perfectly baked and the vegetables taste incredibly fresh and high quality. Service was okay, but I had to ask a few times to understand the difference between the bakery and the restaurant, and about a pizza type they first said was not available but it actually was. Despite the small confusion, the amazing taste of the food makes up for it. Prices are on the higher side. We ordered two pizzas and a soda for 63 dollars, which felt a bit expensive.

Consistent espresso like their other location on Queen. Nice atmosphere. Lots of seating including a spacious upper level. Also, outdoor seating on a nice day. This one, I believe, has more sitdown food options whereas I prefer the other one for market items. Clean bathrooms w/o needing a key. Don't bother with the place across the street.

Complementary bread and olive oil were nice . The truffle pasta - sauce January great and pasta texture is excellent but sausage is in small pieces that is very unappealing as like already chewed food. The truffle did not taste fresh. I won’t order it again.
F M — Google review
At Sud Forno, I had the chance to try their latte and tiramisu, and both were excellent. The latte was smooth and well-balanced — the espresso was rich but not overpowering, perfectly complemented by creamy, velvety milk. It’s the kind of coffee that feels crafted with care. The tiramisu was light yet indulgent, with just the right amount of sweetness and a lovely coffee aroma. The texture was airy but creamy, and the cocoa dusting on top added a perfect finishing touch. It reminded me of the traditional Italian dessert but with a fresh, modern twist. Together, these two made for a comforting and satisfying treat. Sud Forno clearly pays attention to quality and detail, making it a great spot for both coffee lovers and dessert fans alike.

The service quality has improved significantly since last year and I like the fact that there’s no time limit for laptop users. Plenty of sittings and consistently good coffee. The verity of pastry at this location is usually not as wide as their other locations. Amazing photo shot atmosphere.

After a morning of back-to-back meetings (and being ghosted twice in between), I decided to take myself out for lunch—best decision ever. I stumbled upon a friend-recommended spot on Yonge and went straight for their much-praised pistachio cornetto (cornetto al pistachio, as the sign proudly says in Italian). One bite and I was done for—the pistachio cream, the crunchy bits, the soft pastry, all glued together by a layer of white-chocolate icing. Totally indulgent, definitely not healthy, but hey—today’s workout justifies it. The vibe works for everyone: suited-up office warriors, daydreaming wanderers like me, and tourists looking for a quick bite. Downtown Toronto really delivers.

Tre Mari Bakery is one of those timeless Toronto spots that never disappoints. The space itself is adorable — warm, lively, and full of that old-school Italian charm. They have everything: freshly baked bread, deli meats, hot food, pastries, and of course, the cannoli. I ordered the cannoli party box and loved how varied and well-balanced the flavours were. The vanilla was silky and custard-like, the hazelnut and pistachio were rich and nutty, and the classic ricotta was light and not overly sweet — just perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and you can tell the bakery takes pride in its quality and tradition. It’s a great spot to grab lunch, pick up some treats for home, or order a box for a gathering. Definitely one of my favourite bakeries in Toronto!

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful cake department at Tre Mari Bakery for their exceptional work and care. The Strawberry Delight cake was absolutely delicious — the custard cream was perfectly smooth and rich, and the fresh strawberries were sweet, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. Grateful for the kindness, the quality, and the sense of community you bring with every visit.

I'm only reviewing the cannoli party box received by Tasios Orthodontics to our dental office so the 3 stars for service and atmosphere are not valid. The variety was fun, nice box, fresh crunchy shells of the cannoli and great variety of flavours. This makes a great gift 👍

I was very excited to introduce this bakery to my son who wanted to buy me the perfect birthday cake. While the taste was good, the appearance seemed really weird. It was grey blue and made me wonder if they had made an error in their icing. A strawberry cake should have one icing, no ? It just didn’t seem right and didn’t make for great pics or aesthetics. Was disappointed even though I tell everyone about this bakery and have ordered cakes more than once. Wonder what went wrong ? Also really felt like they skimped on the strawberries on the top of the cake. 3 strawberries, really ? If I hadn’t sent my kid who is 22 and picked up myself, I definitely would have remarked on all this ! What a bust.

I wanted to start by apologizing because I accidentally mixed your bakery up with another one in my first review, which I’ve since deleted. The cake I received from you was absolutely beautiful and ended up being a highlight of the night. It was delicious, worth the drive, and something everyone kept talking about. The staff was friendly and assisted with all my questions, and the cake was prepared on time with a smooth pickup and payment process. 5 stars all the way.

Tre Mari, thank you for making my graduation cake special and with care. Appreciate y’all and the yummy Italian rum cake. What a treat! This was a balanced cake, perfect for my Asian palette. We also got some biscottis to enjoy with our tea. Truly an Italian gem in Toronto.
Sadhana K — Google review
I am writing this review in hopes that the owner or manager will see it. I visited Tre Mari today for the very first time with my husband, as we love trying new places. A friend has recommended this spot many times, and since our go-to is usually Sanremo (about 20 minutes away), we decided to finally give Tre Mari a try after hearing great things about the bakery and food. Overall, the experience started off well. We ordered from the hot food counter, and the lady serving us there (a slim Black woman with curly-ish hair) was absolutely amazing, patient, kind, and very pleasant to interact with. Unfortunately, our experience at the cashier and barista station was the complete opposite. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk and politely asked if the honey could be added before the shots so it could melt (how I usually order it elsewhere). The cashier responded very rudely, saying: “We don’t do that. You do it yourself, if you looked behind you, there’s honey.” Her tone was uncalled for and dismissive. I was so caught off guard that I could only reply with an awkward “ok…” while wondering what that interaction was about. On top of that, the barista did not call out orders once they were ready, she simply placed them on the side and walked away, leaving customers unsure which drink belonged to whom. Both the cashier and barista could greatly benefit from customer service training, as their attitude left a very negative impression and completely ruined my morning. One rude interaction can overshadow all the positives, and unfortunately, that’s what happened today. That being said, I want to highlight that aside from those two employees, other staff members seemed very kind and attentive, especially towards elderly customers, which was wonderful to see. The food and bakery items were delicious, and the prices were reasonable. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously, consistent customer service is just as important as great food, and I believe addressing this issue will only strengthen the restaurant’s reputation.

Nugateau Patisserie is a charming, bright white bakeshop located on Queen Street West in Toronto. It stands out as the city's first pastry shop exclusively dedicated to éclairs. The pastries are hand-crafted using authentic French techniques and no artificial flavors. The menu boasts over a dozen variations of éclairs, ranging from simple fruit flavors to more decadent and complex options.
Quite enjoyed the large variety of eclairs they offer. The fruit based flavours cut through the richness of the pastry and it wasn’t overly sweet. I think if you got some of the chocolate or vanilla flavours, perhaps it would be a tad too sweet. But the ones we had were delicious. Patisserie also has a large seating area so you can enjoy in store.

I just had the most exquisite macaron! Delicate, flavorful, and simply joyful. Paired with a cozy latte, a vibrant bouquet, and my favorite scarf, the whole moment felt like a page out of a dreamy café novel. The space is warm and welcoming, just like the sweets they craft with such care. Thank you to the owner for curating such a beautiful, sensory experience. You’ve created something truly special, both delicious and delightful 🌺🩷

Update NUGATEAU IS CLOSED. Delicious éclairs in different flavours. They also sell a mango passion fruit swirl ice cream and macarons. The decor is nice. Great customer service.

Picked up the most amazing desserts for our family Thanksgiving lunch! The pumpkin pie was scrumptious, with just the right amount of sweetness and the most delectable cream filling. Hand down, the best pumpkin pie we’ve ever had. Compliments to the chef! The eclairs were also delicious and added a great seasonal touch to the dessert table. Thank you for the great service, recommendations and treats! I’m sure I’ll be back for more.

Not impressed and not worth $8.00 for eclairs that were not even fresh. 👎 Great service, but the eclairs tasted days old as if they were left in the fridge and sold to me…. I really expected more from this place…it’s just too bad…

Great place for desserts - loved the pistachio, raspberry, lemon, blueberry, and chocolate flavor eclairs. The pizza was also really yum. Latte could have been better - I Didn’t particularly enjoy the lavender latte. Interior and ambience was great, but it didn’t smell as nice. Recommend this :)

Follow @bredgyeats for more food reviews and posts! Enamoured by their brilliant display of eclairs, I just couldn't resist the vibrant green of the pistachio royale and the flavour combination of the Juliette. The pistachio cremeux encases an airy whipped pistachio ganache, finished with candied pistachios and a white chocolate glaze. However, I preferred the combination of the dark chocolate mousse and raspberry filling, a match made in heaven, while providing a heterogeneous experience as each half is slightly different.

PASTRY: hit or miss, some of the flavors are good some are not. The shell is too thick and too hard for me. They all look fancy and well decorated so it'd be perfect to be a gift. There're new flavors every season. SERVICE: everyone there is friendly, it's good that they're all french so it seems more legit bakery. VIBE: very beautiful store, large and many tables.

Formerly a grocery, this Harbord Street bakery now specializes in Jewish baked goods and pastries. The bakery is predominantly visited on the weekends for its challah, which is grabbed by regulars for their Sabbath breakfast. The bakery also sells chocolate babkas during the weekdays.
I was looking for a carrot cake for my girlfriend’s birthday and this place did not disappoint! This is definitely one of the best carrot cakes I’ve ever had! Loved the cream cheese icing and the fact that there are no raisins! Cake was moist as well! It was very reasonably priced compared to the competitors out there. Simple design/decoration, but that’s what I was going for. I got the 7 inch cake. It was an easy process to order. I called two days in advance and pick up was simple. Will definitely order from here again!!

The stuff here have always been friendly to me and they're so helpful. I love the fact that a small and independently owned because you can see that the owners are doing something right. The big corpse should study them. Delicious bread, great products and excellent layout. Really well thought out servicescape.

I have been coming to this bakery for 30 years. The selection of bagels and fresh breads, danish, blintzes, cookies, pies and cakes is based on a daily rotation. Normally, if it isn’t in stock tomorrow or the next day is the baking day I am told, which means that they stick to par levels based on expected sales. It’s best to order ahead of there id something you require. The croissants include: cheese, almond, pistachio Nutella. There is a really good mixed chocolate and pistachio cookie I enjoyed. There are muffins, carrot cakes and pumpkin pies on hand right now. Prices are generally higher than the grocery with some breads actually fairly priced.

A lovely selection of fresh baked goods. Looks like you can put in orders ahead of time for your bread needs. Looks like the fresh bread loaves sell out fast. Lots of loafs, cookies and other sweet bakery goods. They have a small deli type counter suitable to get lunch on the go, with a selection of salads etc. This is is not inexpensive, but you get quality goods.
G. D — Google review
This bakery shop is one of the best around UofT. It offers a variety of baked goodies and special occasion cake. It also has a deli/salad bar. Customer service is not bad and inside of the store is clean and safe. Items presentation is not the greatest and they can definitely do better. They don’t have signs and the layout of the bakery section is a tad weird. I have it 4 because it doesn’t have vegan options and the prices are on the higher side. Otherwise, if you are around the area and feeling like having a a good muffin or cookies, give Harbord Bakery a try!

People were nice. Baked goods were mediocre at best. French loaf was okay. Nanaimo bar was awful. Chocolate chip cookies were bland and stale. Won’t be going back.

Don't miss this bakery if you are near Harbord and Spadina!! We have often ordered cakes for birthdays from here and they are delicious. So, I tried their other pastries and they were so yummy. The mixed berry pie and nutty jam cookie were perfect with not too much sweetness but just the right amount. Their spicy cheesesticks were great too. The staffs are very friendly and sweet. Would definitely recommend it😋

Tori's Bakeshop is a charming bakery located in two spots - the Beaches and the Canary District. It specializes in organic, plant-based desserts, offering a variety of flavors such as vanilla, salted dark chocolate, mini-donuts, and seasonal options like Pineapple Upside-Down. The bakery prides itself on using natural and organic ingredients to create delicious treats like their famous melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts.
My latest discovery on Queen street East. The bakeshop has an unassuming front entrance and is easy to miss - I am so happy I found it. A beautiful and subtly decorated interior feels very cozy, I loved the colour theme - subdued mint/green (with matching "for here" cups!). the counter display is a feast for eyes (and stomach of course!) - I tried a savoury hand pie (with mushroom/lentils filling) and it was absolutely delicious (warmed up). I can't wait for my next visit at the store. Besides the baked goods there is an espresso bar, pressed juices and a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. All food is vegan.
Anna P — Google review
You'd also be hard-pressed to guess that these treats are completely vegan that kind of reminds me of childhood birthday parties with their chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and donuts.
Bredgy L — Google review
Nice atmosphere and service, but inedible gluten free pastries. As someone who has tried the majority of gluten free bakeries in Toronto and countless storebought goods, it’s ludicrous that this bakery is charging $5.93 for a single black forest cupcake. The cupcake had a weird texture, it was like munching on uncooked quinoa in between cake crumb. The frosting was overwhelmingly sweet and not creamy at all. I’ve had plenty of good vegan frosting at other bakeries—this was not it. There was very little cherry filling and it should have been a jam-like consistency, instead I think they just soaked dried cherries in sugar syrup. Not to mention the black forest cupcake is a “seasonal” flavor which is how the bakery justifies an extra $0.75 surcharge. Last I checked, dried cherries are available year-round so I’m confused and you should be too.

Are you looking for some sweet treats that are dairy free, and fully vegan well Tori’s Bake Shop in The Beaches will not only fulfill your cravings, but want you going for more. The staff is amazing. On a wet and chilly November day like today, coming upon a place like this is literal heaven on earth! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with the aroma of freshly baked desserts and brewed coffee! I got their lavender London fog and brownie cupcake! Can't wait to pass by again!

Box of pastries to enjoy and could not be any happier. They have both regular and gluten free goods for all to enjoy with their large selection of beverages. Will definitely swing by more often to sample their other goodies

Plant based bakery offering a variety of sweet and savoury goods. - Potato Focaccia: A bit dry, nice caramelized onion undertone, good density and a bit on the greasy side. - Savoury Scone: could not taste the sun dried tomato but lovely flavour overall. - Peach tart: sweet and good but not enough filling and too much pastry. - Cinnamon bun: excellent, very good. - Butter tart: a bit plain and dry, nice sweetness though. - BLT Sandwich: very good flavour but WAY too greasy because of the coconut bacon. The pesto is wonderful though. Service is friendly and helpful.

A selection of vegan and glutein free fresh, organic, delishious treats. I come for the delishiousness and the cozy setting, missed out on the soups, but they do have that and sandwiches too. Daan Go Cake Lab is a vibrant and cheerful bakery known for its custom and creatively decorated cakes, pastries, and high-concept macarons. The shop offers a variety of desserts including delicious cakes, cookies, ice cream, and drinks with Asian-inspired flavors like Vietnamese coffee or durian. Their specialty lies in adorable character macarons that top some of their cakes.
I have been taking their cakes for some years now and they are really good. The consistency is worth mentioning. Their cakes are not too overpowering sweet while having a good balance of taste and color. I would keep having their mango cake for many years to come. Hope they open up a franchise in Durham as well.

We ordered our wedding cake from Daan Go and it was absolutely the best. The taster set (which you can use towards the final price of the cake) allowed us to sample many flavours at once and then decide on the one we loved the most. The ordering process was simple and fast, they showed up during the delivery window and set up just as planned. It was easy and stress free - which is exactly what we needed on our big day. The cake itself tasted just as good - or even better - than it looks (we did pistachio) and our guests absolutely loved it too.

4.5 stars - the store front is in an unassuming plaza. It's a little sparse but the offerings are super cute. I ordered the celebration pig online and pickup was a breeze. The cake was so cute! The recipients loved the attention to detail including how the inside layers look a bit like the layers of a roast pig 😆. The chocolate crunchy layer was also nice in mimicking the crispy skin. The flavours were a nice combination but it was just a little sweet for me (probablythe amountof chocolate needed to cover the piggy), but with a nice tea it would probably be perfect. The store has some cute cakes, macarons, and ice cream for direct pick-up too if you don't want to order ahead.

The HK milk tea here is sooooo good! Smooth and silky, but strong the way it should be. Enjoyed the HK milk tea cake slice and the Pandan cake slice. Not too sweet, creamy and light and perfect. Highly recommended.

Amazing customer service! I came to the Midland location last Friday, August 8, 2025 around 11:30am to pick the merchandises that I bought online. I also bought some ice creams and macarons. I received outstanding customer service as there was only 1 staff there on that morning. He was so helpful and courteous. He went about above and beyond in trying to find the flavour of the ice cream that I was asked about. He totally deserved a promotion or a medal! I should also add that the quality and the flavours of the ice creams and macarons were outstanding as well.
Jennifer Y — Google review
We got a small box of macaroons from Daan Go Cake Lab to celebrate my father's birthday. Everyone in my family enjoyed them and said the flavours were really good. We were surprised at how accurate the flavours were without being overly sweet. Flavours we got in order of the macaroons from left to right: Passionfruit, Pistachio, Tiramisu, Milk Tea, Hazelnut chocolate, and Mango. We definitely plan to return to try other desserts in the future.
Chris M — Google review
I ordered their cake jars from Skip (milk tea and vietnamese coffee flavours) since they looked so cute, but they were surprisingly inedible. The cream layers were icy all the way through, with visible ice shards, like the product was sitting in a freezer for too long. Their other offerings, like the cake slices with imaginative flavours and adorable character macarons, are far better, so I suppose the rating should be closer to 3.5 stars, but do not order the cake jars!

Nestled in the bustling Financial District, Maman is a charming southern French café and bakery that originally hails from New York City. This delightful spot on King Street West invites you to savor locally sourced breakfasts and lunches amidst its inviting ambiance, complete with rustic wooden farm tables and beautiful blue-and-white tiles. The outdoor terrace is a perfect escape during warmer months, surrounded by greenery.
I’ll admit it — this is definitely one of those Instagram-famous treats, but the moment I saw “Tahiti” on the menu, my heart couldn’t resist. One treat you can’t miss is this Tahiti sea salt honey latte because sometimes, it’s not about the price tag — it’s about that emotional connection. Great service great vibe!

Nice vibe and outdoor atmosphere. Very nice and friendly staff. Food below average. Latte had too much milk vs amount of coffee. Canele bottom was kind of burned. Almond croissant was only crispy at both ends and rest very doughy. Didn’t meet expectations for food.

In French, "goûter" is the verb for "to taste", and everything I've had so far at Goûter was definitely tasty. The interior smells of the fresh butter they use in their boulangerie, so entrancing! My significant other and I shared their Piña Colada gelato (especially amazing), Banana Chocolate Caramel gelato, Pain au chocolate (très bon!!), Almond croissant (though I think I prefer the filling at Amadeus and Nadege), Kouign-amann (MUST-HAVE, buttery sugary crispy fluffy goodness originating in Brittany, France), Tarte au chocolat (not as rich as I'd hoped), and a super crunchy French baguette (too crunchy for my tastes but I would still repurchase) that we used to make a couple sandwiches at home. There's a market across the road and a No Frills just North at Wilson where you can pick up toppings to make your own delights. The shopkeeper was very polite and definitely has a strong knowledge of French patisserie. She let us sample their new scones - buttery, a bit cheesy, and fluffy, yet with a firm crust, we'll have to get some next time! From what I've seen, they also allow you to pick up frozen Pain au chocolat (and perhaps other items) that you can proof and bake in your own kitchen! I asked about when they usually sell out of their baked goods, and apparently every day is different. If you are worried, you can order in the morning and then pick up your items by the end of the day. They really care not to over-produce so that they don't waste food, and so that their products are always fresh out of the oven. I was really impressed when the shopkeeper said that they make everything themselves, nothing from other stores. Verdict: Definitely one of the best patisseries in the city. We'll definitely be back to try their other products and repurchase our favourites! Looking forward to trying some chocolates, eclairs, and more pastries!

I feel like I'm kind of rounding up here, I would've given this spot a 3.5. The cruffin and kouign-amann were absolutely amazing, but I was so let down by the almond croissant and danish. I pre-ordered ahead of time, but had I seen them beforehand, I likely wouldn't have spent the money. The danish had a hole in the pastry, as if it had stuck to the pan while baking and the bottom had just ripped off (I shared it with my family and everyone was disappointed) - I think grocery store ones are better than this for a fraction of the price! And the croissant was pretty lacklustre, not flaky and full of filling like other croissants. That being said, I think this is a good spot to check out for their famous kouign-amann, which was super tasty and the cruffin was perfectly flaky and loaded with a delicious cream filling!

What a joy to discover this traditional French pâtisserie and bakery right down the street from where I live. After living in Paris for a couple of years and getting used to walking to my local boulangerie, I didn't think that I would ever find this in Toronto. But find it I did, at Goûter that opened up on Bathurst a few months ago. The croissants, pain au chocolat and pain au raisin were perfectly flaky and fresh. By far the "most authentic" that I have found in Toronto (and I have tried a number of French bakeries on Avenue, Yonge, Bayview and Mt. Pleasant in North York). I didn't get a chance to try the baguettes yet (the real litmus test), but I will certainly go back. The confectionery and home-made icecream look delicious, and they have an amazing looking espresso machine that I definitely want to try. All-in-all, a great experience for a newly opened store on Bathurst. I will do my best to help it stay around. -------- OK, I just went back to try the fresh baguette (actually more like a French "tradition" with a harder crunchy crust and a chewy, rather than the soft fluffy inside of a baguette), and it was fantastic. Seriously. I am upping my review to 5 stars. Oh happy day!

The bistro location in Trinity Bellwoods neighborhood stands out for its exclusive Pancake Stack featuring mixed berry compote, fresh fruit, and maple syrup.
This was the first time in 20 years that I could order anything and everything off the menu! I almost cried! I had French Toast the first time in a restaurant and it was decadently delicious. Typically GF options are the basics, but that was not the case this time! Great menu items. I ordered a side of onion rings because, why not?? They were huge! I visited with two gluten eaters who also enjoyed their meals. My husband said the fries were better seasoned than our brunch from the day before! I'm from out of town and this was the one and only item on my must see list and I wasn't disappointed! I will be back on every visit to Toronto 🧡 Thank you for the delicious eats -yes I took treats home with me!!

Since I chose to be gluten-free, this was the first gluten free place that caught my eyes. Last picture is from a cafe on Harbord street and the rest are from Bistro on Dundas. I loved the bread they use here. I ordered a cheese melt. It was so cheesy and buttery. Also look how much fries they put! I shared it with my friend at the end haha. The flatbread wasn’t as I expected to be. The dough was a bit hard and crispy. It was more like crackers. The coffee here was good too and the apple crumble cheesecake, it was delicious. I mean the apple, caramel, crumbs and cheese, it cannot go wrong with these combinations. I’d definitely come back for more food. Next time, I want to try their pancakes. Their cafe doesn’t have as much savory food as the bistro does, but more pastries. Personally, I would say I like their savory food than sweets, however they have a variety of different pastries to choose from.

She had the crispy chicken sandwich. I had the Cobb salad. Her friends had the chicken tenders and another crispy chicken sandwich, as well as fries. For dessert we had the chocolate mint cupcake, the molten lava cake and the chocolate chip cookie. Everything was fresh, and delicious. My daughter and friends were blown away.

A celiacs dream, the food is incredible and with very good portions. Was so happy to be able to safely indulge - Ceaser, sandwich and even the option for fried chicken! Was able to take my non-celiac friends here without feeling bad for having them have a gluten free meal.

Almond Butterfly is a charming spot with friendly servers, generous portions, and great value for money. The brunch menu offers several tasty options, and the intimate seating adds to the cozy vibe. The only downside was waiting nearly 35 minutes for food after ordering, and parking can be tricky with limited street spots. Still, the overall experience was worth it—highly recommend for a relaxed brunch!

Visited for the first time while visiting family from Guelph and it was absolutely amazing. The decor and the vibe as well as the food were all amazing. We ordered the breakfast hash, along with steak and Eggs and the traditional breakfast. Everything was so delicious and the portions are so generous. Brodflour, located in Liberty Village, goes beyond just baking bread by milling its own flour on-site. By using organic Canadian grains and a stone mill, they produce fresh flour for their diverse range of breads and treats. From sourdough ryes to heritage grain challah, each loaf is made with high-quality ingredients that result in fragrant and chewy textures.
You know when you look up a place online and wonder if the food is actually as good as it looks? Well, in this case, the food is EVEN BETTER! I don’t know how that’s possible, as I’m not a baker myself, and fail to understand the magic of, and the science behind, baking. Brodflour might have THE BEST croissant in Toronto, and the focaccia slice (we tried the cheesy one) is next level! We’ve been here twice, and we will definitely be back!!! Also really enjoyed going on a Saturday when the outdoor Farmer’s Market kiosk is next door. Felt like I could balance out my pastries with some high quality fruits and veggies.

A nice cozy place but definitely struggling with space crunch due to the hype. Barring the space to place yourself, everything on the menu is a must try. We had the garlic cheese n chives danish with oat flat white for a sweet n savory combo. This was followed by their breakfast muffins, which, in all honesty was just ok. The margarita focaccia was surprisingly good. A must try. Recommend going sooner than you expect the crowd to be low. We also took home a loaf of their classic bread. :) 8/10

In regards on food: we ordered a breakfast sandwich with extra bacon (+0.50) and it was super good, simple but tasty, it comes in a english muffin that was very soft, also a smoked turkey sandwich, this was the best of all, really nice, bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, also ordered a bird hearth bread (sliced) to take home, liked it. When it comes to sweets we tried brownie and salted chocolate chip cookie, for me it a must try, chewy and not over sweet, the right amount of sweet and salt! I would go back but for the food only!

Came in to try the breakfast sandwich, the Brod latte, and their special pastry. The Brod latte was interesting, I’ve never had something quite like it before. It was good to try, but it didn’t wow me enough to order again. That said, I can see how it could really hit the spot for someone else with different tastes. Unfortunately, they were out of arugula, so I couldn’t experience the breakfast sandwich as it’s meant to be served. I had already paid before they mentioned this, which put me in a bit of an awkward spot. Even so, the sandwich was still really good, and the pastry was a nice touch. Overall, I’d say the food was solid. And honestly, when it comes to a great breakfast sandwich, the “special sauce” is always starting with amazing bread, which they definitely know how to do. I’d definitely come back again!

I just had the most buttery almond croissant I have ever tasted. Best paired with a nice cup of flat white. The staff were all friendly. Would visit again.

Picked up a cardamom twist and a flat white. Both were fantastic. Would love to come back and try more treat and the breads.

Went midday on Friday and only waited about 2 minutes in line. I had an americano, yummy coffee blend, not bitter! I also had a smoked salmon sandwich. The bagel it came in was so nutty/toasty and delicious. The labne was a nice twist to the typical cream cheese. I also had a pain suisse that I ate next day and it stayed moist and yummy. I was able to sit inside. Just time your visit, and it lives up to the hype. Smells like heaven!

Sweet Hart Kitchen is a cozy bakery located near bustling Kensington Market, offering a variety of baked and raw vegan, gluten-free treats. The friendly shop uses real, whole ingredients that are 100% vegan and avoids artificial flavors and colors. Their products are allergen-free and made with fair trade, organic, and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Visitors can enjoy seasonal pies, pastries, and both raw or baked cakes that are naturally sweetened.
My favourite vegan Bakeshop! That staffs incredible and so nice, I ordered the pumpkin spice 4’ cake and they was able to accommodate my changes. Instead of the traditional filling, I replaced it with apple crumble! 10/10 and not too sweet! I also ordered 3 keto cupcakes and a pumpkin pecan square.
Tiffany L — Google review
This cafe was so cute. It’s a small vegan bakery in Chinatown. I didn’t know it was vegan, and gluten- free going into it. I’m not vegan so I can’t speak for the rest of the customers but I found their baked goods all have a gooey texture, not much of a bite. I got the Blondie, and their chocolate chunk cookie, and it didn’t taste that good. My friend bought some donuts and they all had a salty but strong baking soda taste. The taste of the baked goods weren’t that good, but the service was awesome, the person who helped us was so friendly.
Mich Y — Google review
Had the jam filled cookie and a ginger donut and I gotta say I was happy with the taste and quality. The sugar cookie was 10/10; I will have it again and the donut was maybe 1 minute under done but it didn't really impact the taste just texture- 5/10 The shop is cute and cozy and the attendant was kind. The placement of the info tags definitely need to be rearranged because they were confusing and in the wrong spot. Better than bunners down the street

This is a charming local bakery that specializes in gluten-free, vegan and keto type of desserts! If you are trying them for the first time, it has a different texture from regular pastries but nonetheless I really enjoyed the chocolate chunk cookies! The chocolate tasted very good, high quality. Also likes their selection of Pluck teas and the homemade mint tea, not sweet at all and so fresh! Thank you very much! Id love to come by and try other desserts.

This is a very cute location, the owners are super welcoming and the pastries are clearly made with a lot of attention to detail and a lot of love!! Everything was delicious, no exceptions - my absolute favourite was the peanut butter bar - WHAT A DELICIOUS bite, if I had known it was that good I would have ordered 10 more. This little piece of chocolatey peanut butter delight made my day!!!

Always impressed by the perfection of their treats! Friendly staff and delicious goods. Great place to stop by for a snack or for a treat for friends! Although the writing on the glass/fridge doors are kinda confusing and don't always match up to the desserts There was also a girl making out with her bf over the counter and not paying attention to us, patiently waiting to order. Inappropriate but also understandable 🙄

Yummy refined sugar free desserts including cakes!! Highly recommend! I loved their cupcakes too (super moist and very fresh raspberry sauce) and I usually am not a cupcake person.

Won a mini apple pie crumble cake from here and it was the cutest cake ever! Although the cake part was not as fluffy as I would have liked, I really enjoyed the flavour of apple and fall spices. Thanks for having me :)

Dufflet Pastries Wholesale Bakery, located in downtown Toronto, was established by Dufflet Rosenberg in 1975. The bakery supplies a variety of desserts to grocery shops, restaurants, cafes, and caterers across Canada. All their treats are handmade from scratch and include cakes and cookies for any occasion. Customers can visit the Queen West storefront or order ahead for pickup at two locations or delivery via Uber Eats.
I love to go to their pop up sales. I wish they had more brownies. I couldn't get there early enough to get any today. Instead I picked tarts.
Karen A — Google review
Bought a caramel cakelet, the icing did not taste like caramel at all, rather it tasted like coffee. The cake itself was not at all good, it wasn’t even as good as a cheap chocolate cake. 18$ down the drain. I emailed them twice, they did not respond, so clearly they don’t care about consumers. Do not buy it if you like caramel, chocolate cake, or good icing.
Nancy C — Google review
Two stars for the excellent cakes over the years. ..and I mean years!! First, we can't go downtown to get cakes, then longos stops carrying the one we like... can't find and 3 of them we'd be ohk with. The retail listing shows many places but no one has the ones we want. Plus the last one tasted off due to being frozen. No more preorder pickup. Ughhh Pure craziness!
Andrea C — Google review
Used to be the perfect shop for grabbing the perfect cake. Now, after many years, I suddenly can’t get my daughter’s favourite cake, because they’ve decided to focus entirely on corporate sales to companies that can’t even order the cake themselves. Good ol’ executive greed.
Alex P — Google review
Horrible decision to close down their retail location. Really not the same fresh versus frozen/ refrigerated for days in store. Those who are hoping for their signature light and fluffy buttercream icing will be disappointed. One of the worst cases of selling out I have ever seen. Never forget where you came from, retail presence is important and gives legitimacy that"just another brand in a grocery store aisle" can't. I suspect this company will fall out of favour in a few years because no one will know how great the origin was and it has no more story except as commercial bakery.
Caton L — Google review
After over 3 decades of cake buying from Dufflets for all of our occasions, I am saddened and disappointed to have to bid adieu to Dufflet's. It was a slow parting as first the Queen street store was closed and only pick up from Norseman and now even that is shut down as Dufflet's chooses to ignore their loyal customer base and focus entirely on corporate sales. Buying from large chains is unreliable as the cakes we have tried have been not as fresh and they cannot guarantee a pre-ordered cake. It was nice while it lasted. The 5 stars are in honour of the countless cakes we've enjoyed from Dufflets over the years - it's the end of an era. We'd really appreciate it if anyone reading this review could recommend a replacement cake supplier of similar quality.
Denise O — Google review
I've heard a lot of good things about Dufflet cakes, and so I was very excited to give it a try. I bought a mocha cake for a celebration and most of us were disappointed. The inside of the cake was dry. The outside buttercream tasted old and was also semi hard despite having been in room temp for about 1-1.5 hrs. No one finished their slice of cake.
Ava M — Google review
I'm disappointed by the systems put in place for placing and tracking orders here. Last year, I tried to have a cake delivered around this time for somebody's birthday. I received no status of delivery update, even on the expected day. I ended up calling the place in the evening and they said they couldn't deliver the cake because of the ice storm (which was understandable. It would have been nice to be notified before though). The staff on the phone guaranteed me store credit for when I purchased the cake. Fast forward to now. I called the number provided online to place and order, letting them know about the store credit. I sent them an email with my order confirmation. The person on the phone said there was no record that the cake wasn't delivered so they couldn't provide me store credit. All in all I wish there was better communication here because now I have a lack of trust in ordering from here again.

Such lovely German bakery serving tasty and many options of pastries. Prices are very reasonable. The coffee that they brew is perfect. There are many bread options freshly baked. There is a room where you can seat and chill at the back of the Shop as well. Highly recommended for you to try.

I've been coming here for years, and always for their incredible 10 lb loaf of bread. It's absolutely fresh & delicious and worth the trip every time. Over the years, they've expanded their selection to include all kinds of pastries, cakes, and other baked goodies. There's even a cozy little café area where you can sit and enjoy a coffee with your treat. Just a heads-up: it's cash only, so come prepared!

Cash only. Fun to be able to see the factory floor. Great bakery and many fresh items made throughout the day. The pastries are so good. Staff are very friendly. Seems like a popular place for an afternoon tea/coffee. Clean facility. Clean washrooms. No Free WiFi. Pretty expensive in general. The dining area has some nice art. It can be messy and hot from the sun though. Lines can be long and slow.

Danishes are excellent, pastry is soft and filling is tasty. Don't skip on the cherry, easily the best thing here. Breads are also fresh, the rye is ny go to, as well as the pretzel buns for sandwiches and hot dogs. Don't forget to grab a coffee on the way out its brewed fresh.

New added options (New Pretzel Buns and Oat Bubs) are so good. Wide variety of breads, donuts, and dessert; fresh and tasty. Chocolate Danish and Cheese Danish are the best pastries; Pretzel buns are amazing. Nice and friendly staff. I would give them 5 stars if it weren't "only cash".

Delicious Classic Rye Bread Dimpflmeier Bakery never disappoints! Their Pumpernickel Delicatessen Rye Bread is rich, dense, and full of that classic rye flavor — perfect for sandwiches or on its own. Great selection of baked goods and meals. We didn’t like Mac and cheese and sourdough bread, but we liked pastries. Pleasant ambience and nice staff.

This bakery has some good items (bagels), however after having tried their samosas, bagels, spanakopita and pastries, I find that they savory food lacks flavour and was stale/dry. The sweeter items did not leave me craving to come back. 3 stars because service is quick and prices are reasonable. Not excited about going back though..

Nice bakery with freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes etc. There is usually a queue to follow if you're buying something. Many of the items are not price marked. Service was okay, I wanted to look around a bit and check prices but they asked me to get into line without even seeing what I wanted to ask. I didn't want to hold up a line trying to choose which is why I was looking around. There are many regulars at the store. They even sell additional products like cards, small gift items, paper napkins etc. Overall products are good and it's worth a visit for sure.

Was here last week with my cousin. Such a cute little place! I had the casse noisette and I highly recommend it! It was SO GOOD. Tastes like a gourmet fererro rocher. 10/10! I also got the pistachio crunch bar…amazing. When I go back I’m picking up all they have in stock. I also got the almond chocolate bar which was good as well but not my favorite. The cashier was very nice too! I’ll definitely be back for more treats!

Nice bakery cafe. They have a lot of bread and pastry options. Lots of comfy seating inside and a small patio. The day I went in I was told that their espresso machine was not working. Also, the wait time was rather long even though there were not too many customers. I think they could have benefited from having 1 more staff working. The almond croissant was excellent. The blueberry tart looked better than it tasted, but was still good. 😋 Overall, it was a good first experience, but I would have liked to have a coffee with my pastry.

A recent trip to the Forest Hill area brought us to find this lovely French bakery cafe. Bought some interesting croissants like almond/honey and banana/coconut. They were gone before I took photos. The other two were coconut and then a mixed berry, also very nice. A couple of lovely fruit tarts and some delicious hot chocolate rounded out a very nice visit. Great place to practice your French too!

I’ve been to this place so many times last year twice every month at least I am Handicapped and in a motorized wheelchair. I was there Friday, July 4 and it was the worst service I have ever received. I asked for crêpes they said they had none. I asked for something else they could not make it because no chef was on duty. I asked for a regular sandwich just ham and cheese. It took over 40 minutes and I did not get my sandwich. I asked for a refund. Horrible service I will not go there anymore I hope this helps others make a decision

Dough Bakeshop is a cozy family-owned bakery known for its scratch-made breads, pies, cookies, and savory options like pizza, soups, and sandwiches. Customers rave about their breakfast sandwiches on fresh brioche and the delectable peanut butter confetti squares that evoke childhood memories. Despite its popularity, the bakery offers quick and friendly service with reasonable prices. The croissant sandwich is particularly praised for its cheesy goodness and perfectly flakey texture.
Bakery has a surprising variety given the small space. First visit. Key lime pie is delicious, filling balances flavour with creaminess without getting too sweet, crust has deep buttery notes that contrast nicely. It kept very well in freezer and still had great texture when defrosted (see pic - the dry lime slice did release a few drops onto the custard, for optimal I’d pluck it off and defrost separately). I also got a ginger cookie which was good. Will return to try more products like nanaimo, carrot cake, and others. Note: bakery only, no seating.

Love love love dough bake shop! Very friendly staff, who are always nice and attentive when we drop by. The pastries and baked goods are incredible — so are the breakfast sandwiches and lattes. Highly recommend! I haven’t tried everything, some things I’m really hoping to try soon like the quiches (which look right out of a picture book!) but I can recommend the danishes, lemon tarts and brownies a thousand times. They also have a pantry section and a fridge section, which always has things such as eggs, butter, soups, frozen foods, if anyone is interested in those.

visited the bakery this weekend with my kids for famous breakfast bagels. I arrived at 3:07 and was turned down for breakfast, as it is only served until 3. (Not flexible and horrible customer service) We traveled all the way from Mississauga. It would have been nice to have a bit more understanding for the kids ( who was looking forward for the brunch) and the long distance we traveled to get there, don't you think? Never again!
Jay S — Google review
The chocolate almond croissant was not to my liking, it kinda tasted as if it was a vegan/gluten-free pastry,,, it tasted off and not like the real thing (even though I think it was a regular pastry). The iced latte was good! Although they asked me how I wanted my latte made and if I wanted my latte made with milk, cream or sugar. I was kind of confused because I thought lattes were made with milk, so I ordered it with milk and a bit of sugar. It turned out good!

Been here a few times, solid baked goods. Have tried a few of the sweets, savoury items and loaves, all are fresh, good quality and reasonably priced for the city. Also one of the better Kouign Amanns I’ve had in Toronto (crispy, not too sweet or sticky, and very light/flaky).

Love this place and I went every day when I lived next door. The owner is from France and their croissants are the best. Their coffee drinks are lovely as well. Smashing IT! ☕🥐☕ My goodness why did I wait so long to try this place out! Hands down, there's no denying the best French Pastries in Toronto! This amazing and unassuming cute little pastry shop is serving up some of the most amazing and the most authentic French pastries and delicious cakes. Everything is made fresh, simple good quality ingredients as it should, and the moment you bite into any of their many pastries your taste buds will be lit up and you're just going to want to jump up for joy! Because you've finally found that bakery that knows a thing or two about baking the proper pastry. The coffee is amazing as well! So if you're in the neighbourhood drop on off to Fleur du Jour and try as many pastries as you can, trust me you will be so deliciously delighted!

This little pastry shop on St Clair is worthy of legend. Every day they open at around the same time, but it varies a little - it’s dependent on the croissants are ready - which varies a little with the weather. They don’t have a close time - they close when they sell out. If you have a bit of time, try the Brietto - it’s a croissant toasted with Brie, prosciutto and a cheesy creamy filling, absolutely delicious! In the morning they offer a wide variety of French pastries - from the classic croissant to sweet delights with berries, pears and other delicious fresh fruit. The only reason they don’t have them in the afternoon is because they sell out by then! In the afternoon they have divine mousse cakes in several flavors - the Rocher and the Cassis Vanilla are incredible. We keep coming back not just for the food - the owner and staff are always welcoming and makes us feel at home! Pricing is reasonable, but payment is cash or debit only (no credit).

If you're looking for authentic (yet unique) French patisserie in an unpretentious setting, this is it. Everything is freshly baked and delicious. The staff is courteous and responsive and the owner/baker is delightful. Stop in for the Brietto (croissant with brie and prosciutto) and a coffee. Bring home some apple, raspberry or mixed fruit tarts. Everything a real treat!
David S — Google review
I stopped in for a pastry and iced latte. The coffee was good and the pear pastry was very good if a bit floppy due to the lack of a/c on a hot and humid day. The experience was hurt by the flat to the point of rude staff person. It's as if they are trying to be a poster child for the Gen Z stare. People are who they are, but this shop could improve on customer service and the interior environment and it would get an easy 5 stars from me.
B S — Google review
The croissant was excellent; very fresh and tasty. The coffee was good. There is a bit of seating inside. My only issue is that the coffees aren't priced right. How is a cortado and a macchiato the same price as a cappuccino. $5 is much above market price for these drinks with significantly less milk.
Dave — Google review
It's a hole-in-the-wall type of place with the price point of a posh cafe. Croissant was on point. Unfortunately, that's about it. Worst cappuccino I've had in years. It tasted like something poured from a random gas station overnight pot. Service was lukewarm at best. The atmosphere is like an university co-op.

The pizza slices, on the other hand, looks amazing, but the Magherita slice just didn’t make it for us… Unfortunately, the sauce was bland and lacked in favour. However, the pizza slices had the perfect texture and amount of cheese — very generous portions, great to share amongst others. Would probably try a different flavour next time. As a vegetarian option, their vegetarian lasagna is highly recommended… very filling and yet again, generous portions, and great service from the staff to ask us if we wanted extra sauce. I appreciate the different queue lines created for savoury and sweet foods — it’s time efficient instead of having just one line. Although we were able to find a spot, there is little seating available.

I ordered the “Big Slice Chocolate Birthday Cake” and was really excited to try it. When I got the cake, it looked cute and well-presented. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The cake was overly dense and extremely sweet — so much so that no one at the party could eat more than a bite. The sweetness was overwhelming and didn’t taste balanced or enjoyable. You could feel the crunch of undissolved sugar between your teeth. It was especially frustrating because this was for a birthday celebration, and we couldn’t enjoy the cake as we had hoped. I had been looking forward to trying other Big Slice items like their pizza and more, but after this experience, I’m not sure I’ll be giving it another try.

Service 3/10 (ladies at pastry/dessert section were rude), if they chose to display all items without description and price at least train your staff to do better! Pizza 9/10 Lobster Tail 6/10 (crunchy but not flaky) Pistachio Tiramisu, chocolate eclair 7/10 Banana Pie 6/10 (minimal banana flavor, tart shell also underwhelming)

I'm a local that lives down on Sheppard been here before but never had the time to review the place. Had the Pizza and Lasagna here before; the staff are friendly and the food is great. I was there earlier in the week, to pick a cake for my birthday and I decided to get the Strawberry Sfoglia (shortcake but with just sponge and no pastry) and a few mini cheesecakes. Nice visual appeal, not too sweet, very rich, well balanced and tasty. Will definitely stop in again for eats in the future. 👍🏾

Usually get the pastries and cooked foods. The hot foods are, in my opinion, really well priced for the big portions that they give you. Cannolis are 10/10 Portuguese Tarts 10/10

Best place for lasagna and arancini and you won’t leave hungry! The lasagna is a generous size and extra saucy and comes with a bite of bread! You can always enjoy the pizza 🍕 it’s not too oily or too salty. Lots of cheese and filling Then there are the mountains for desserts which always puts a smile on my face! Gelato is great in the summer and is great as it can get really for in the store! I am excited for their expansion! It looks like they are expanding to the store beside them which means more space !

We had such a lovely time at Delysees Luxury Desserts. The desserts are not only delicious but so beautiful as well. The details on them are so amazing. We can't wait to go there again and try more of their desserts. They have so many and theit birthday cakes look pretty unique too.

Extravagance extraordinary!! If you really to treat the loved ones in your life, whether that be your soulmate, family member, child, Grandchild or heh! - just your sweet self, this is the place to do it. Delicate, delicious, delightful, delectable delicacies. Decidedly devouring. A large selection of cupcakes, cakes, macaroons, croissants etc - the takeout versions of which come in designer boxes! Flavours and Colours are too varied and vivid to mention, so I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Go ahead. Treat yourself or someone special.

Delysées Luxury Desserts is a spot that truly lives up to its name. The pastries and desserts here look stunning, almost too pretty to eat, but once you take a bite, you realize they taste just as good as they look. The macarons are delicate with crisp shells and smooth, flavorful fillings, and the cakes are light yet rich, with layers that feel perfectly balanced. What stands out most is the attention to detail — every dessert feels carefully crafted, with textures and flavors that complement each other. The chocolate creations are silky and indulgent without being overwhelming, and the fruit-based desserts are refreshing and not overly sweet. The space itself is chic and modern, which makes it a nice place to enjoy dessert with friends or just treat yourself. Service is friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re looking for a beautiful cake to share or just want to enjoy something small but luxurious, Delysées is definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful dessert shop on trendy Ossington Ave. Great place to take a break while shopping or dining nearby. The Rocher I tried looked like a giant Ferrero Rocher—chocolate glaze with a crispy shell and biscuit base. Not overly sweet, but still a bit too sweet for my taste. Lots of eye-catching pastries. Worth visiting if you’re nearby, but not a must-go.

Wow, that dessert selection was absolutely incredible! I was completely blown away by the sheer variety and the deliciousness of everything on offer. The interiors were also stunning, creating such a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance truly enhanced the overall experience and made it even more enjoyable. I found myself completely lost in the moment, savoring every bite and taking in the beautiful surroundings.I wholeheartedly agree that this dessert place is definitely worth visiting again and again. I can't wait to go back soon!

Terrible experience. Ordered from online platform to pick up the Arc De Luxe bundle of three with their own promo of a free pack of 6 macarons with order over $45. First of all, I never received a call from the store throughout the food preparation period but got told item not in stock only after I physically arrived at the store at the pick up time. Told me to switch for a medium sized whole cake with no macarons but aren’t they totally different things and where are my macarons? If you don’t have the item in stock you should have first set “out of stock” on online platforms, then contacted me to negotiate, not wait until I’m physically in store and say hey we don’t have it you either substitute for something totally different or you get nothing. If you don’t want to give free macarons also, take it off from the platform! Another substitution choice was to pay an extra 10 dollars plus tax to get another totally different bundle with very limited choices and still no macarons. Really disappointing. Ended up being me and my friends finding that there’s actually Arc de Luxe available in store but wrong flavors. It should have come with Midnight Cherry Royale, Golden Pistachio Bliss and Choco Elderberry Noir. But they only had two flavors available, something mango and something with mulberry, meaning no matter what we choose we are not getting the flavor we should get originally and 2 cakes in the bundle will end up being the same flavor. But still, only if we take that wrong flavor Arc de Luxe we won’t need to pay extra and can get the macarons. We were basically kind of forced to get the wrong flavor items or else we don’t get anything we wanted at all. Also the macarons ended up poorly packed and some of them were broken too. Last but not least, it’s worth mentioning the attitude was unprofessional as well. I felt quite uncomfortable with how the situation was handled.
Ruiyao Z — Google review
We ordered takeout and when we got home and opened the boxes, the cakes were sadly missing their shape. We paid over $260 for this and the packaging is awful. I don't think the box even holds 5 cakes. They obviously didn't bother to separate the boxes for us. The food was delicious and the decoration was beautiful, but it was all ruined, which is a shame.

Rahier Patisserie is a charming patisserie located in Leaside, Toronto, offering a delightful selection of delicate French pastries and fruit tarts. The Amelie and Clementine cakes are particularly eye-catching with their vibrant colors and are available in various sizes for both individual indulgence or group gatherings.
One of my favourite patisseries in Toronto. I have been enjoying their delectable pastries, cookies, tarts, and cakes for almost 2 decades now. Quality products with consistency you can rely on. It's a shame I live across the city from them, otherwise I would be there quite often! 😅

I ordered a hot chocolate and was displeased with a couple things 1. They use actual hard pieces of chocolate, which they steam together with the milk. The barista poured the milk into the cup and then plopped the leftover chocolate gunk from the bottom of the steam pitcher, which then they had to mix again in my cup. Leaving me with a chunky drink …yum 2. I didn’t even receive a cup filled all the way . I ordered a large size, and paid over $6. The person a head of me received their drink and had theirs filled to the brim, but my drink was left with about 2 inches of room on top. In the end I’m just disappointed that I paid the amount I did for the quality I received.

Charged for the plaque on my own birthday cake after being told it was free when I ordered it. Definitely not the best customer experience. Response: Since you insist on technicalities, you are correct. You told my father that it was of no charge because he paid ahead of time. Had it been the situation you described, when I came to pick up the cake you wouldn't have insisted that I pay for the plaque. Suffice to say, you have lost our business over $1.95.

Very friendly and cozy patisserie shop that serves a very tasty coffee. The cakes and cookies are die for! Recommend to all!
Anastasiia R — Google review
I had Rahier on my list to visit for some time and had the opportunity recently. I have mixed feelings on the visit. The items were good. The madeleine and cappuccino that I had were tasty but not the premium quality I expected given the reviews on G Maps. The pastry items (as agreed on by my friend) were good. However, the drinks are massively overrated. I would recommend passing on the cappuccino as it tastes flat and less quality than say a Sbucks cappuccino, which are standard comparison points. For a coconut filled pastry and my small cappuccino (small cup half full) I paid 7.56, for comparison. It's competitive for the area but the taste is only okay. I would recommend a visit if in the area but it is not a top selection for either french pastries or coffee drinks.

Not a big shop but has such fabulous pastries. There is a small patio at front for you to sit and enjoy. The small individual cakes are more costly but good for special occasions. They display so well on the table.

Duo Pâtisserie & Café is a stylish venue that offers a variety of treats, including Black Forest gateau and brioche, which are perfectly paired with their selection of coffees. This French café with a Japanese twist is known for its classic French desserts infused with a unique Japanese flair. The bakery specializes in creating various chocolates, cakes, and viennoiseries.
It's been a long time since I had seen and tasted the abundance of pastries displayed in this store. So many pastries, so little time to eat them all. For nostalgia I bought 6 of their mouth watering ones as it was no tax. So I purchased 2x apple, 2x peach, 2x almond crossants. Their pastries surpass even some of the stores that I've been to in Toronto. The filling for some of them were ok but the ones to try was the one with the apple filling. The crust was layered to perfection like in Paris and the sweetness was subtle with the addition of thinly sliced apples. Overall, a nice place to get wonderful pastries and cakes. I will try their cakes next time as it was too tempting.

It's been many years since I've last been to Duo, but it's still as good and clean and refreshing inside. We got the Claire and Virgo, as they were one of the few without nuts and whose flavours appealed to me. Both were tasty and i loved the apple pieces in Claire. The Virgo had a strong coffee flavour that was too much for me but people who drink coffee would appreciate. Definitely will be back to try other pastries but i am a bit disappointed that almost all their products have nuts in it, so I can really only try a few things. Otherwise great experience!

I tried the mango cake and a box of chocolates here and both were really good. The mango cake was definitely my favorite as the fruit tasted super fresh, the cream was light and smooth, and it was not overly sweet. You can tell they use good ingredients. The chocolates were also excellent with a nice variety of flavors and a rich clean finish. The café itself has a really cozy and relaxing vibe. It is the kind of place you can easily spend an afternoon chatting with friends or just enjoying a quiet coffee break. Everything is nicely presented and the staff are friendly too. Prices are a bit on the higher side for the portion sizes but the quality makes up for it. Overall a great spot for dessert and coffee if you want to treat yourself or catch up with friends in a chill atmosphere.

Absolutely loved this place! The moment I walked in, I knew I was in dessert heaven. The display cases are filled with the most elegant and mouthwatering pastries and chocolates — it was almost impossible to choose. I ended up trying a few of the pastries and grabbed a cake that looked too good to pass up. The space is a bit small but clean, and welcoming, with a calm atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. I also appreciated the unique selection of beautifully packaged treats. The staff were super helpful and patient, even with a line forming. It’s clear that everything is made with love and precision. This is definitely one of those places you tell your friends about. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

This is basically heaven for a sweet lover. First time going here and I didn't want to leave!! They have a wide assortment of baked goods and cakes and treats. The store is clean and well organized. I love how they have an assortment of individually wrapped treats that you can load up into a basket to buy. Everything is worth trying. I did not regret any of my choices. A friend got us delicious treats from Duo on a few different occasions and their baked goods and the assorted pastries are decadent and delicious!! Love the flavour combos in the treats like mango cheesecake, raspberry and chocolate, and pistachio, and the fig Danish. Their croissants are fresh too.

Beautiful cafe with a variety of desserts and pastries. I went with the matcha canelé. The outside was crunchy, inside spongy, and had a nice strong matcha flavor. The honey oat latte was delicious as well. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy, making it pretty loud and difficult to hear the person talking in front of you.

Nestled in the heart of Toronto, Jules Cafe Patisserie is a charming French bakery that transports you straight to Paris with its delightful offerings. Known for its exquisite pastries, this cozy spot serves up classic favorites like pain au chocolat, flaky croissants, and beautifully crafted fruit tarts. The menu also features savory options such as croque monsieur and a variety of quiches—think artichoke and tomato or ham and cheese—that are perfect for any meal.
French pastries and excellent espresso -- it's heaven! We had a vanilla cream square and a plum Danish, both flakey and delicious, accompanied by tea and espresso. The bathroom is downstairs.

I visited Jules Patisserie just few minutes ago, for the first time, and I can see why they have so many happy customers! “Javier” who was at the front, was super friendly and made me feel so welcome. He took the time to help me and even gave me complimentary pastries, which was such a kind gesture. Thank you Javier for this! The pastries were absolutely delicious, and the whole place had a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s clear that they don’t just serve great food, they also care about their customers. No doubt this is why so many people keep recommending this place. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

A french bakery/pastry shop with great baguettes, breads and pastries and cakes. They specialize in pastries and croissants (regular, chocolate, almonds and mixed). They also have a small dining area (4 tables of 2 and additional counter seats) where they used to serve specialty coffees, any of their dessert items as well as a lunch menu. There is an inside washroom (downstairs and thus not easily accessible with babies due to the steep staircase). In all, good quality, authentic European style products. However, the photos show the whole wheat sourdough bread (healthy but a bit chewy), the chocolate croissant and the cinnamon danish swirl which together cost $15. I was there around noon and most of their regular selection was gone. Additional photos were added in April 2025. They are still as good with excellent quality pastries. Prices were increased and the 3 just purchased cost $18 but the quality makes it worth the cost....

A friend told me the pastries here were delicious, so I stopped by since I was passing through. I visited on a very hot day. I understand the staff might be irritable because the store was hot, but they had no intention of helping me. I stood there for 5 minutes, and even though I made eye contact with two female employees, they completely ignored me. A man (who seemed to be the manager) came out from the kitchen and told them a customer was waiting, but they just listened and continued to ignore me. In the end, I was so upset that I just left. It doesn't matter how delicious the pastries might be, with that kind of attitude, I have no desire to ever go back. I will not be returning. It was the worst.

The worst almond croissant I've ever had. I don't know if it's because the bakery had no air conditioning (what???!!!) but instead of layers of light, flaky pastry, the buttery layers of the croissant had essentially melted making the pastry dense, chewy, and doughy - almost like it was undercooked. For almost $8, I definitely expect better
A 7 — Google review
If you’re looking for a real croissant in midtown, this is the place you need to come. I could tell from one bite that they use quality ingredients. Staffs are friendly and the service is quick. They offer a variety of baked goods such as croissants, sourdough breads, sandwiches, danishes, tarts, quiches, cakes, cookies etc. We tried some of their products below. 1. Plain Croissant : 4.5/5 2. Almond Plain Croissant : 4/5 3. Chocolate Almond Croissant : 5/5 - Just delicious. I've never tried the chocolate + almond combo before but they go really well together. Highly recommend. 4. Mustard Twist : 5/5 5. Vanilla & chocolate cookies : 4/5 6. Apple Almond Danish : 5/5 - The texture of baked apples and the layers.. everything about this danish was amazing. I usually don't like the taste of baked apples but this danish? Please try. If you ever see this danish in the basket, just get it. You won't regret it. 7. Pain Au Chocolat : 3/5 I recommend visiting in the morning if you’d like to try various pastries. And maximum 4 people are allowed in the store. I’ll definitely come back and try their cake menus too.

Unbearable temperature inside. Walking into the cafe felt like stepping into a sauna. The air was stifling, and I was sweating through my shirt within minutes. It’s impossible to enjoy patisserie when you’re fighting the urge to bolt for the door just to breathe. The staff seemed aware of the issue but offered no solutions.

How am I only finding out about this place now?! The paste rows are amazing. The croissants are super flaky and buttery. It’s making me hungry just thinking of them now. Venezia Bakery is a Portuguese-style bakery that has been serving up delicious pastries and breads to Toronto residents for over 60 years. The Caetanos are a loving couple who continue to run the bakery with passion, and they're known for their delicious Portuguese tarts. Plus, their light cinnamon donuts are some of the best in town! The staff is super friendly, so you'll feel right at home from the moment you step in.
The Pasteis De Nata are simply the best ... nice thick custard with a crunchy & flakey pastry shell. The home made Boston Cream donut was simply amazing, the custard with a slight sour texture ... you'll never buy one from Tim Horton's after tasting this donut. The apple strudel was simply amazing, you can see and taste the fresh apple slices. The lemon tarts and nutella tart was simply delicious ... a nice citrus base on top of custard. The Nutella tart was sweet on top of custard ... a sinful combo. The lady serving was very patience with all her customers. She even spent two minutes on the phone with me when I called beforehand to inquire about parking availability. Which leads to my only negative about this review ... the parking availability. If you're lucky to find a meter parking near the bakery; otherwise, we parked on Dovercourt ( one hour free ) and walked 10 minutes to Venezia Bakery.

Beautiful bakery on Ossington that has GOOD ESPRESSO at the right price. All the baked goods are made on site by the owner. The owner is actually Portuguese, so you're getting great stuff! The service is friendly and efficient. Don't cross the street to the chain coffee places for $4 a cup. Grab a quick espresso and enjoy the chit chat and local community. Also - the custard egg tarts are as close to Portugal as you'll get here.

Gerrard St. Bakery is a new venture by a talented baker with experience from renowned Toronto establishments. The blueberry scones are a standout, perfectly balanced in sweetness and bursting with fruit. Their empanadas, like the cheeseburger and chicken curry ones, are highly recommended for their authentic flavors. The pecan butter tart is described as delicious despite being a bit pricey, while the apple tart didn't quite hit the mark.
I stopped in to pick up a small birthday cake and was overwhelmed by how amazing everything looked. I ended up picking up the brown butter vanilla cake, two cookies (one sprinkle, one chocolate chunk), one sticky toffee pudding, and a Korean pulled pork empanada. I was floored by how delicious everything was. I had the empanada while I walked home because it was warm, and it was perfectly flaky. It felt like a really cozy hearty treat on a cold day. The staff recommended heating up the sticky toffee pudding in the microwave for 50 seconds and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The cookies were also lovely and I wish I bought more. Last but not least, the cake tasted so special. I’ve never had brown butter icing but it’s a really lovely unexpected nutty flavour. I’m disappointed I didn’t stop by sooner but now that I know how amazing this place is I’ll definitely be back

I am a returning customer who has been buying her birthday cakes for friends at the Gerrard St Bakery for about 4 years. I always go to this place because I love the size of the cakes, and the baked goods are really great!! Love the cheesecakes and love the size of them. I wish the carrot cake had a more cream cheese tasting icing. I've had the carrot, brown butter and butter tart cakes- make sure to eat close to or at room temperature (like 2 hours out of fridge). Everything else is great and staff is great!

Gerrard St. Bakery makes an excellent butter tart! The crust is a perfect soft texture, and I like how they don't overdo the filling — you get a nice mouthful from each bite, but it isn't overwhelming. This is a good butter tart for people who usually don't like them because there's too much filling.

The black sesame cake hs rich strong sesame taste. Love it. The matcha rasberry cookie is well balanced. Sourness and sweetness combination and not too sweet. Place is quiet. Good for relaxing morning or afternoon tea time.

I bought a tiramisu from this place today, and when I opened it at home, it had visible mold on the top layer. It was definitely spoiled and unsafe to eat. Really disappointing — desserts like this should be fresh, and basic food safety checks should be taken seriously. I’ll be avoiding this spot going forward and hope they review their storage or quality control processes.

We ordered famous dubai dessert in the cupps with strawberry, kadaif and chocolate and a bit pistachio cream. I wouldnt recommend anyone to try this as it is not only too sweet and intense but also the chocolate is very low quality. Strawberry 🍓 was a good addition but this dessert could have been made better for sure. Instead of chocolate melted could be used maybe chocolate pudding or something else. We chose the smallest size and it was also way too much for one person to finish.

It was a very cute cafe, very kind staff and good atmosphere. We tried the Dubai chocolate kadayif, and it was a very low quality heavy chocolate and disappointing. They also didn’t mixed enough the kadayif which we noticed it exists towards the end. They have an exciting menu with pistachio in each dessert but need to invest in higher quality chocolate or remove that dessert alltogether!

We came here to try the Dubai chocolate-style strawberry dessert, which is great that they offer in three sizes—small, medium, and large ($7, $9, $11–$12). Honestly, even the small size at $7 is more than enough, as it’s very sweet with rich pistachio and Nutella pastes. The strawberries were fresh, which was a plus. However, we noticed that the strawberries were being cut in front of us without washing them, which was concerning. Additionally, we had to point out to the staff that the pistachio paste on top had been forgotten. They added it. My friend also tried a macaron, which was disappointing—it mostly tasted like butter without much flavor, and the pistachio flavor was missing. Overall, the desserts here are not the freshest or delicious. That said, if you want to try the Dubai chocolate style strawberry, this is the place to go. The environment inside isn’t very inviting, so I’d recommend this as a takeout spot rather than a place to sit.

On Saturday morning after a long walk visited Little Pebbles Cafe. A very small cozy cafe serving coffee, tea, and various types of croissants. Tried viral kunafa croissant with latte. It was decent in taste but I had better. Coffee was good. So if you are in that area, you don't need to search for a good cafe, this one will satisfy you 😉

This bakery is small and has a variety of unique house-made desserts, pastries, and cakes. They also offer custom orders so you can be sure to get something you love. The desserts here are all very tempting, but be sure to try their Peanut Butter cookies first!
I’d heard a lot about this little pastry shop and so we decided to go try it out. As soon as you enter you’ll see a beautiful display of baked goodies, fresh pastries and cupcakes lined up next to their wonderful looking cakes. We tried their red velvet cupcake which is supposed to be really good, and it sure was! The butter cream topping was light and just the right sweetness. The cupcake itself was not very dense and would melt in your mouth. You can even place orders for customised cakes here. They have red velvet and some other interesting flavours available. It might take around a week for any customised orders on their cakes, so it would be a good idea to order well in advance. Would love to go back again and try their other goodies!

One of the cutest bakery I’ve been to! I always go here for their famous rap-cookie gift sets. For valentines, they do customized cookies that you can give to your loved ones and they are absolutely the cutest. Their baked treats are definitely pricy but it makes sense as so much care, dedication and hard work goes into making every single treats. Haven’t tried their cakes yet but you can order wedding cakes here. Definitely recommend this place if you haven’t been yet!

The cake cost $245. We’ve been their customer for 9 years. And very disappointed which how they made our cake yesterday. The design we wanted is to change the blue to red, Stars and moon to spider web. The rest stay the same. But look at the picture. The cake they made for us look like it was done by a student who are learning how to make cake. About the taste of the cake, it’s very dense, nothing else but like an extra dense muffin. I complaint to them and their answer basically just because we didn’t like the cake. Nothing to do with them.

Perfect little bake shop for a treat. Purchased some cookies which were delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Love the atmosphere as well.

The cakes are premium. They also have cookies, brownies and other baked goods. So after tasting the red velvet cake, I have to say the cake was unfortunately disgusting. I've tasted home made cakes that taste better. Sorry guys, your deserts are cool though.

I ordered mango shortcake for a birthday and mango pomelo dessert drinks for takeout. Tasty and fresh! Love them. Especially thanks for the nice handwriting on the cake!

!!! NEVER ORDER CAKES FROM HERE (Look at the attached photos) !!! $78 (pre-tax) for terrible quality !!! I ordered a cake for my friend’s bridal shower (Saturday) and went to pick it up the evening prior - what I ordered and what I received are drastically different. This cake shop LITERALLY has a photo for reference and this is what I ended up with: 1) The shade of the flowers and leaves are not even the same - what is on their website is light, pastel, and floral while what I received was tacky neon orange, bright pink, and bright green. This level of quality is what I expect from very old supermarkets… 2) Just look at the piping of the leaves! It is not even the same shape! The pink ones are also very different - you can see where they stopped the piping bag and it looks like the work of a beginner who is learning how to use a piping bag. See how the orange “roses” are poorly made - the baker didn’t even care to clean off the edges and just treated it like side-layered icing. Speaking of cleaning edges, they didn’t even care to clean the green icing off of the edges that shouldn’t have green! 3) Why is the surface of icing uneven on the top and the sides?! Why does the decorative component take up half of the cake instead of one-third (like the photo)? On a Friday evening with no other cake shops that can accept an order for the following morning, I am forced to take this cake. It is utterly embarrassing that I have to bring this to a function - even more so when it is surrounded by family and friends of my good friend. I am willing to pay for a good cake because I know how competitive it is out there; and surely, there are so many other cake shops that can do a better job and we chose them because of what we saw on their website! This place is a scam!!! I did not even want to pick this up or pay for this, but then I will be left without a cake for my friend’s special day, so I am forced to accept - the baker and the manager were not available to speak to. Even if you gave me this ugly cake for free, it will not make up for the fact that I have to present this joke. Even if it was free, I will 100% pick another cake shop that will be able to do what they show. Would it be possible that they’re using an image of a cake that is not even theirs? Possibly, and that would be false advertising. Now, if you ask why didn’t I go check how it looks in-person before I ordered? All their cake styles are not always readily available for you to view. Don’t order from here or else you’ll be like me: stuck with this cheap-looking and gaudy cake right before an important event.

Ordered a birthday cake from here (matcha jasmine yuzu cake). They offer a green or pink colour of the cake, and we opted for the pink which came in a beautiful baby pink colour. In terms of flavour, cake wasn’t too sweet which was great and the mousse was light and airy. We wish the matcha flavour was stronger as the yuzu was way too strong. Not bad overall.
Forest B — Google review
Their desserts are fusion of asian and french which by the way is the best fusion ever existed. We got the black sesame noir (mountain) which was good. I appreciate the detail. You cut into it and it looks like a piece of art even on the inside like those fancy desserts you see in the food channel. I also like their summer special fruit tea drink. Just dont get coffee at these places (lets leave that to the italians). Must try. Would come back to try other desserts soon. I see they also have mooncakes and other aesthetic desserts you normally would see in Asian cafes like in Korea or Japan.

The cake looked just like the picture online—really pretty! The taste wasn’t as fresh as I hoped, a bit dry and hard, but the cream was nice. The lady at the store was super sweet and even gave us warm water when my kid coughed. I’d love to come back and try other cakes, especially the lime one.

PASTRY: they're all super cute and very creative, design wise and flavour wise. I'm so in love with Orange de Terre and Earl Grey Pear. They have amazing flavor combinations. The mango cloud is good too. Sesame Noir is not some flavor that I'm too familiar with so to me it's just interesting but not the best. SERVICE: the staff were patient and friendly. VIBE: super nice store. Interior gives a very upscale and elegant vibe. The place is really clean.

I ordered the Matcha Jasmine Yuzu cake for my mom’s birthday and it was absolutely delicious! Honestly, one of the best cakes my family and I have ever had (and that’s saying a lot because I don’t even like cake). The matcha flavor was rich and deep, with a delicate hint of jasmine and yuzu that came through beautifully. It was light, not overly sweet, and so easy to enjoy—we ended up finishing the whole cake in one sitting. The ordering process was seamless too. I placed the order two weeks in advance and called a couple of days before pickup to confirm. The customer service was excellent—super friendly and helpful both over the phone and in person at pickup.

Located in Toronto, Le Beau Croissanterie is a popular spot known for its delicious French-style pastries and espresso drinks. The bakery specializes in a variety of croissants, including flavors like raspberry, pistachio, and dulce de leche. The pastries are made from scratch in-house and take over two days to prepare. In addition to croissants, the bakery offers exquisite Buche de Noel cakes available for pre-order during the holiday season.
This quickly became one of the best bakeries I’ve been to in the city. The mini banana bread is so good and made with milk chocolate chips. The americano was fantastic and priced well. Super busy and line up formed before opening, has a patio. Love this place!
Farzan F — Google review
I’ve been really into croissant sandwiches lately, so I searched around and found this place. They had two kinds of sandwiches, and we went with the Brie, turkey, and pear — it was delicious! I loved that it wasn’t drenched in sauce, and I honestly didn’t know Brie and turkey could pair so well together. We also tried the chocolate croissant, and it was one of the least greasy, most beautifully layered croissants I’ve had. Such a nice surprise! For coffee, I ordered a cortado — it was a bit on the lighter side, not the richer, milk-light version I usually expect, but still enjoyable. Staff were reasonably friendly, and there’s no Wi-Fi here. All in all, it’s definitely a place I’d like to come back to.

Had the Yuzu Pistachio croissant and an Americano and it might be the best croissant I’ve had in Toronto. Perfectly flaky, buttery, and full of flavor. The space is bright with big windows and cozy vibes. The sandwiches looked yummy, so I’ll try one next time. Some pastries weren’t available later in the day, so try not to go too late.

I tried pistachio croissant for the first time and I was impressed! I liked the egg wash glaze outside and flakyness on top and loved it to be very soft & fresh inside. Air picket seemed proper. There was right amount of pistachio cream and it was delicious!

My girlfriend and I were walking in the area after visiting the local farm. We stumbled across this cafe and decided to continue our festive journey on finding the best PSL in the city. The syrup they use here seemed to be a little too sweet and over powered with the spices taking away from the coffee itself. Still a great location and their service is good. The PSL specifically was just not up to par.

I wish this place had WiFi. I walked with my laptop all the way thinking i could sit in a cafe to do some work. I wanted to go to Sumach express first but it was crowded so i thought maybe i should give this place a shot looking at their Google reviews. Their coffee is really good. Croissants, umm slightly priced on the higher end for me but what can we do. Not bad. Can’t say worth it with the taxes. But ambience is good. Service is warm, friendly and really welcoming!

Bloomer's Queen, originally a vegan bakery, has evolved into a charming bistro in Bloordale. The cozy spot offers homestyle and diner-inspired dishes like pulled jackfruit sandwiches, Caesar salads, Reubens, and mac n cheese. They also serve almond lattes alongside craft beers and wines. Known for their famous vegan doughnuts, Bloomers has expanded to multiple locations in the GTA.
The donuts are soft, fresh, and beautifully presented, making them perfect for a treat at home or a fun dessert with friends. 💛 Delivery was smooth and the donuts arrived in great condition, still fresh and delicious.

First, they do a vegan bakery, so shout out for that. However, I didn’t like their donuts that much. Their glazes were kind of powdery and didn’t feel good. Also, their flavours were not tasty for me, even a basic one like chocolate. I guess fritters were better than donuts. I’ve had much tastier donuts at half the price in Toronto!

Nice little bakery. Good gluten free choices. However, even better donut choices. Too bad the donuts aren't gluten free. We all could have enjoyed the deliciousness. I got the gingerbread man donut and it was phenomenal. Soft and tasty. Do yourself a favor and try one if you are in Toronto. You will not regret! Service was also awesome.

Got the Ferrero Rocher, Canadian Maple, Classic Glazed, Carrot Cheesecake, Apple Fritter, and Blueberry Lemon Fritter. All of the donuts are great quality. All the filled donuts are REALLY sweet, I have a sweet tooth and they’re even too sweet for me. The filling almost tastes too buttery as well. The Ferraro Rocher was probably the best
Gen L — Google review
The doughnuts at bloomer's were incredible! On their own merit they were delightful, but as VEGAN doughnuts they thoroughly impressed me. The dough was light and pillowy, with just the right amount of chew. My only gripe was that the difference between flavours all came down to the filling or icing; there was no unique flavour in the breading. Of course, I recognize that's a limitation when you're a bakery having to make hundreds of doughnuts a day in a dozen flavours. But the icings and fillings were overly sweet, and for the unfilled doughnuts, they all tasted more or less the same—I actually thought I was eating the apple doughnut at first when I was actually eating the carrot cake one. The flavours can be overpowering, too; despite the nut crumble topping, the pistachio-rose flavour tasted overwhelmingly of rose with only a hint of pistachio. Despite some of the overlap or confusion in flavours, the doughnuts themselves exceeded my expectations, and the presentation was stunning. I'd only ask if the sweetness of the icing could be toned down and flavours workshopped, just a little, to tighten them up. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied and was happy I went.

I ordered the $69 birthday cake for my girlfriend’s 30th birthday as I really enjoy their donuts. I requested to have a message on it saying that and unfortunately I didn’t look at the cake in the box when I picked it up. Once I got to my destination, I realized they missed this detail and I was 2 hours outside of the city. I loved the cake itself, but it was a bit disappointing they missed an important detail especially for a big milestone and expensive cake. Note: I added the 30th decal myself (in photo) as I luckily purchased just in case.

I LOVE BLOOMERS! I’ve been coming for about two years now and it’s always fire. Always grateful for vegan businesses in Toronto that have great options and consistency. Highly recommend!!! 🍩 During our visit in Toronto, Bloomers came up as a MUST for vegan donuts & treats! It lived up to the hype & beyond! Super adorable & cozy bakery located on the hustle & bustle on Queen St. Loved the decor & vibe! We stopped in & saw they had a large selection of MASSIVE fully loaded (and unique flavors!) of vegan donuts awaiting us! We picked the biscoff donut (such a good choice!) It was super fresh, moist & a biscoff cookie explosion! We also got a mini pumpkin pie which was adorable & delicious! So happy we picked Bloomers for our sweet treat fix while exploring Queen St! They have an adorable seating area to take a moment with your sweet treat. 💫🌈🍩 Loved our sweet treat indeed!

Emmer, located on Harbord Street in Toronto, has quickly become a local favorite for its delectable sourdough bread, croissants, and pastries. The bakery's signature Sourdough Bread is a must-try with its chewy crust and pillowy inside. Owner Philip Haddad's dedication to perfecting his craft is evident in the array of viennoiserie, peanut buttermiso cookies, and bacon butty sandwiches offered at the shop.
Sausage roll: delicious, I love a savoury pastry so this one is it! The sausage itself had a really good flavour and pastry was so flaky. Mouthwatering. Pistachio croissant: reading the reviews, it's really hard to get ahold of but got one at 9:30am on a Saturday. I enjoyed it, filling was perfect amount of sweetness and the crusted pistachio was beautiful and crunchy. Glad I tried it but for $10, I don't think I'd get it again. Sausage Breakfast sandwich: delicious, must be the same sausage they use in the sausage roll. English muffin was nicely toasted and the hot sauce was a nice touch! Chocolate chip cookie was good, but for the price I wouldn't get it again. Bit of a pricier spot, but the pastries are good and service in the patio was friendly.

Emmer is truly next-level. I had the best croissant I’ve ever tasted — and that’s coming from someone who’s had them in France and New York. Everything we tried was phenomenal, from the pastries to the perfectly spiced chai. The customer service was just as impressive — warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. It was all so good, I couldn’t leave without buying a T-shirt to rep Emmer in the Caribbean. A must-visit for any pastry lover in Toronto! Thank you so much Emmer team.

This bakery is quite underwhelming. The croissant I tried was far from impressive. The plain croissant had a nice crispy exterior, the inside was nearly raw. The Shakshuka Brioche was disappointing as well as it resembled a pizza more than anything else, completely masking the flavor of the eggs. Overall, my experience here was poor, especially considering the quality of other bakeries I've visited. I will not be returning.

This is one of my favorite bakery that you must try! Their croissants are simply amazing. Plain croissant is great but my personal favorite is pistachio croissant! However, it only comes out at specific time so please make sure to check their website or Instagram prior to your visit. You also can't pay for specific bakery in advance. You have to be there at the right exact time! I know it is troublesome but I guarantee you that if you are pistachio lover and serious about top notch bakery, this is the place!

Update: We came back earlier in the morning, and got to try some new stuff. I highly suggest coming early to get the pistachio croissant (limit 2 per customer). —— This is one of those places that everyone seems knows about in Toronto. Didn’t know what to try so we got a giant sesame bread (delicious and enormous), a chocolate chip cookie 🍪❤️, a dark chocolate croissant 🥐🥰 and a piece of strawberry snacking cake (loved the name). There’s still so much to try so we will be back 💯

Best pistachio croissant in the city, and I’ve tasted many. Great texture and I love that there’s not a lot of pistachio cream in the middle. Also had the breakfast egg muffin and it was delish. Homemade sausage patty was juicy and flavourful. They have outdoor seating so you can actually eat there.

Absolutely phenomenal! I have to admit that these are some of the best pastries I’ve ever had in my lifetime. The blueberry cream danish was heavenly, the sausage rolls were delicious and the perfect size, and the ham and leek quiche was so buttery and delicious. Our group would have continued to order more items from the menu if we had the stomach room for it. Flat whites were a perfect addition to the pastries. The covered patio outside was so lovely and relaxing. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend- get here early.. you won’t regret it. 🥰

🥐 Pistachio Croissant (Second Batch @ 12:45pm Saturday): Finally got my hands on it! Topped generously with crushed pistachios — visually satisfying. But I personally prefer the one from Ottawa where the filling is denser, almost like a soft mung bean cake — smooth and rich. Emmer’s version had less filling than expected. 🌰 Almond Croissant – Pretty standard. Might’ve been a bit cold, so it didn’t wow me. Just okay. 🍯 Cinnamon Morning Bun – Quite sweet, but nothing surprising. A bit underwhelming overall. ✨ If you’re going, the pistachio croissant is still worth chasing! Just make sure to check what time the second batch comes out.

The menu features delectable flavors like lime coconut cream, salted caramel brownie, and the popular toast and butter donut. We finally got to try Glory Hole Doughnuts, and overall, it was a pretty good experience. The dough itself was incredibly smooth and soft—clearly made with care and quality ingredients. We especially enjoyed the berry and fruity flavors; they were vibrant, not overly sweet, and had a nice balance that really stood out. However, at $3.95 per donut, we felt the pricing was on the higher side. While the quality is definitely there, it’s hard to fully justify the price, especially when compared to other artisan donut spots in the city. For that reason, I’d give this place 4 stars. The donuts are tasty and worth trying at least once, but it may not be an everyday treat unless you're okay with the premium pricing. Would still recommend it for anyone curious or looking to treat themselves—especially if you enjoy unique or fruit-forward flavors!
Paula R — Google review
Had the opportunity to try a Glory Hole Doughnut. They have been around since 2012 in the East York community. They take pride in their pronounceable ingredients and that everything is hand made. I considered these doughnuts as gourmet doughnuts. The size is huge, and the quality and the price matched it. I had the fudge dip mini. The other one I almost considered was the cinnamon sugar mini. When I’m trying something new, I usually go for the most basic flavour to be able to compare and give a honest review. In overall, the fudge dip mini wasn’t overly sweet. The doughnut is fluffy with a slight chew to it at the end. My coworker, she loves it and finds it dangerously close to her home. Another one, she said it was good too. Me, I’m happy that someone brought it into the office to brighten everyone’s day. The doughnuts were all so pretty. This is not a nuts free bakery.

What did you like about these doughnuts? Close to home. They are made freshed. They are a bit smaller than normal doughnuts I've had for $3.95. The doughnuts were fluffy and soft, and there were a lot of different flavors to choose from. The service was amazing, which made the experience a lot better.

their donuts are to die for! I’ve tried the cinnabun and toast & butter. unfortunately this location is closing at the end of the month :( EDIT: i tried their cinnamon buns that are only served on sundays. absolutely scrumptious!! I’d probably get them several times a week if they were sold everyday. I don’t know their name but the employee that has served me every time is very very kind and a pleasure to speak with. I will be back plenty of times until it closes. apparently there will be a community party for their closing on august 30!

Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! Toast and Butter Donut, Ferrero Rocher Donut - I've always underrated donuts, but not after these entered my mouth. So light and airy with an attractive spring back once bitten into, with a delicate fry for a crisp bottom that's not overly oily. The Ferrero Rocher was the star today, dipped in an indulgent Nutella hazelnut icing and sprinkled with crushed hazelnuts to add another layer of texture and nuttiness. Additionally, if you like the rich sweetness of butter tarts, you can have them in a donut form as well. EDIT: Butter Pecan - the donut itself is still top notch. Fluffy, spongy and airy. However, this flavour is too cloyingly sweet for me, but sweet tooths may love this.

Barbershop Patisserie is a charming patisserie located in Toronto's West End, founded by Jill Barber with the support of her community. The bakery offers a delightful array of sweet and savory treats, including tarts, cookies, sausage rolls, and lemon bichons. Influenced by French and English pastry traditions, the patisserie's offerings combine elegant traditions with rustic charm. Visitors can indulge in European-style pastries that are as photogenic as they are delicious.
It's a hit. They're not f in around. Hand rolled puff pastry is the signature, buttery, light and crispy. I had the sausage roll and the chicken pot pie. Both were great. Seasoning on the sausage was flawless with just the right balance of savoury spices without being over powering. Chicken pie was creamy and hearty, if I would critique I'd say they could add more filling volume and salt, but both were satisfying and delicious. Service was lovely, friendly and helpful. They could use a small counter or high top and bar stools though.

I drove from North York today to pick up a chocolate cake for my birthday and it was well worth the drive! The cake was moist, had a chocolate pudding-like fudge icing and it wasn’t too sweet. It was my first time there so I picked up a few other things I had seen good reviews about…lemon bichon - great, crunchy, flaky exterior with a lovely lemon curd inside. Chocolate chip cookie was also tasty, I will have to give it a solid tasting tomorrow as I don’t have enough room left in my tummy today! Lastly the sausage roll, my husband said it was the best one he’s had since we visited England a few years ago! I wanted to also take a moment to thank the lovely staff member who helped me, they had a lovely energy and were clearly fans of the treats they were selling. Thank you and I hope to see you again!

SO good! Third year in a row getting my birthday cake here: the butterscotch apple mille feuille is unbelievable. And the pastries... All of them are incredibly good! 100% recommended

I popped into this little spot specifically for the Lemon Bichon after a friend insisted it was a must-try - and that I had to pick the one that looked the most burnt. Challenge accepted. If you’re a lemon dessert lover like me, this bichon au citron is going to blow your mind. Think of a flaky, golden puff pastry, similar in shape and size to a turnover, but filled with the dreamiest lemon curd. The outside is coated in sugar, some of which is caramelized for that sticky, slightly crisp texture. The contrast of tangy, tart, and sweet, paired with the buttery pastry layers? Absolute perfection. This might just be my new favourite lemon treat. There’s no indoor seating, but trust me, it’s worth grabbing to go - or better yet, snag a seat on the bench out front and savour every bite.

My go to spot for lemon bichon. I love how irregular shaped the pastry is and how buttery it is. There is a nice crunch when you bite into it because of the caramelized sugar followed by a nice chewy texture. The inside has a very small filling of lemon for a zesty flavour. I have been here 3-4 times and it has never disappointed.

Easily the best chocolate chip cookies in Toronto. They were out of fresh cookies, so the owner sold me some frozen ones. Hell, yeah. Perfect instructions, turned out amazing. Will be buying a dozen more next time I'm in the hood. Thanks again!

Loved it. Best cake and a great price. Kids and adults will find it delicious. Kids party or adult get together. Get this cake 40$ for a small plus tip.

Simply the best dark chocolate cake in the city. Barbershop seems to be known for its Lemon Bichon and this AMAZING cake, but man the sausage rolls, the almond croissants, the apple turnovers, etc are all amazing as well. Just order anything in the window and be happy you found a slice of joy in your day no matter what it is.

Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, La Bamboche is a trendy bakery that captivates with its exquisite pastry artistry and delightful selection of French macarons. This charming café offers an inviting atmosphere where you can savor these delectable treats alongside Japanese-inspired cakes. Perfect for a cozy coffee or tea date with friends and family, La Bamboche provides a peaceful retreat to indulge in an array of flavorsome macarons that will leave you craving more.
I ordered cupcakes from this bakery through Uber Eats for delivery to my brother & sister in law who just found out they are having a baby. La Bomboche staff were kind enough to include a personalised handwritten note with hand drawings and made the delivery so special for us. Thank you so much.

I visited this café to relax and get some work done, and it was a great experience. Their coffee menu is extensive and unique, offering a wide variety of options. They also have a big selection of pastries and sweets, which were incredibly fresh and delicious. I ordered a BLT with turkey, and it was both delicious and filling. The café itself is quiet, cute, and clean, making it a perfect spot for working or unwinding. I also loved the calm music they were playing—it added to the relaxed atmosphere. The staff were attentive and very friendly, enhancing the overall experience. This is a great neighborhood café, and I will definitely be returning!

I liked the croissants but the drinks are okay, the matcha is not that strong in flavour (mostly milky) and the honey comb latte was good but not anything amazing. Their croissants were delicious! And definitely must try! Service was great and the washrooms were clean as well. The ambiance of the place and decor was cozy and very welcoming, I could see myself working here for a bit. Over all really great!

It would be great if you mention somewhere that the kitchen closes at 3pm I did a 30 minutes drive from home to come try your sandwiches. Arrived 3.30 w/o knowing the kitchen hours. Cappuccino 4.5/5 . i recommend it.

This chocolate croissant was the size of my head, and DELICIOUS. Great coffee, great pastries - both massive serving sizes! + nice staff and quiet space. It's a very hard to find kind of place that doesn't have the massive corporate feel.

Except for the bread, they offer wonderful high tea as well. Make appointment 2 days in advance and enjoy a wonderful afternoon with friends or family. The staffs are so kind, gentle and friendly. Highly recommend the Champagne macaron, scone and Sandwich.

The pistachio almond crescent is the best in Toronto! Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. A must-try pastry if you’re visiting this spot
