Wine store
Uppercrust is an intimate bakery in Gainesville, Florida that offers a wide variety of artisan bread and pastries. The bakery also features a gourmet market, a cafe with outdoor seating, and hosts weekly wine tastings. The warm and rustic interior provides a cozy atmosphere for enjoying their decadent French-inspired baked goods. Marcus, inspired by desserts from a Michelin-star restaurant, spends his time perfecting the chocolate cake and donut at Uppercrust.
We have lived near the Gainesville area for a long time and for whatever reason we never tried this place for breakfast. Only their cookies. The pastries are amazing, some of the best in the area. The guava one is awesome. They were very busy on a Saturday morning. The coffee was the only letdown. The consistency and boldness was good but it had almost no flavor despite getting vanilla. I’d like to come track and try more coffee and pastries in the future.

This French bakery is absolutely incredible! Everything is fresh, flaky, and full of flavor — truly some of the best pastries I’ve ever had. The spinach and feta rose is to die for — perfectly buttery and savory with the most amazing texture. Ben, the owner, is so kind and welcoming, and the whole team makes you feel right at home. You can tell they put so much care into every detail. A must-visit spot — you’ll want to come back again and again! 🥐💛
Ashley — Google review
Small bakery with a great selection of pastries and good customer service. Lots of fruit flavored pastries as well as dessert styles. The pistachio fleurs and the flourless double chunk chocolate cookies are some of my favorites. Their online ordering system makes it easy to pay in advance and just stop by to pick your order up.
Eric J — Google review
The best croissants 🥐 and cinnamon rolls in town! I have taken family members here and they have all praised the bakery treats. Whenever I visit I’ve always received great customer service from the staff too. This is one of my favorite small businesses to support!!!
Kalindhi M — Google review
They offer a variety of breads including baguettes (Classic French, Rosemary) and other loaves (Rosemary Batard, Pain Aux Cereales Batard). A signature item, their croissants come in various flavors, including butter, chocolate, almond, raspberry, and Nutella. High quality service with high quality Bakery products
Ovidio J — Google review
Very disappointed. The eclairs were filled with a cheap tasting too sweet custard, the chocolate tart tasted like bland frosting. If that wax supposed to be chocolate ganache, it was a sad comparison. The croissants had a strange aftertaste, that was sweet and oily, not like a butter croissant should be. I’ve enjoyed some amazing French bakeries across the country with French bakers very proud of their food. This was extremely disappointing and ridiculously expensive for what it was. The eclair was $7 and tasted like a small long john donut at best. This place, to me, is not a true French bakery. I will be looking elsewhere. Edit: I wanted to add that I usually ONLY give positive reviews for businesses, and just never return to the ones that did not meet my standards. In addition to the above, after eating the food here, I developed one of the worst cases of heartburn I have ever experienced. I do hope you look at your ingredients and not skimp on quality for future patrons. No reason should anyone suffer over a treat they are hoping to enjoy.
Tonya T — Google review
Top-notch quality with prices to match. Don't get me wrong...the few times that I've visited Upper Crust have resulted in outstanding purchases. But unless YOU'RE upper-crust, you likely won't be able to make a habit of it. Their apricot croissants are simply amazing. But at five bucks a pop, they'd better be a religious experience. I've bought their eclairs, also very good. But they're the size of ladyfingers and they're also five bucks apiece. I get it...it's 2025. We survived 1/21-1/25, but just barely. Our country is intact, thankfully. But our wallets? Not so much. Go here for a special treat. But bring your money gun. And ammo for it.

A business has the right to adjust their hours but should be respectful of customers and adjust their hours online. Today I checked Google for their hours & drove across town only to find them closed early. Not fair to waste people's time. Products are of good quality.

Step into the enchanting world of Dolce Vita Bakery Cafe, a delightful gem tucked away in Gainesville, Florida. This charming bakery invites you to escape the mundane chain cafes and immerse yourself in an atmosphere rich with European flair. As you enter, you're welcomed by the inviting warmth of exposed brick walls adorned with local art and the lively buzz of fellow patrons enjoying their treats. Though it may be small with limited seating, its quirky decor adds to its charm.
The bakery is phenomenal. For some items you need to get there early. It's just a small place, not cheap but quality. Homemade. Not sure about sandwiches but we had a rose roll which they heated for us and was delicious. Quite sure this is a locals favorite. We will go back when in the area.
Cindy B — Google review
I love Dolce Vita. Its my go to bakery. Not only does everything smell and taste amazing. The staff is awesome and very personable. I strongly recommend getting there early, when everything is super fresh. The place smells amazing.

The guava and cream cheese pastry and the key lime coconut pastry are incredible! My husband got the Italian sandwich and said it was the best one he ever had. I had the vegetarian pesto mozzarella and tomato panini and it was delicious as well. This place has so many delicious desserts, lots of food options, and take away meals for you to warm up at home. We loved it!

Return Visit, 6/27/25 Awsome pastries, guava, Blue Berry Lemon, chocolate, Raspberry, Keylime. Almost hate to review this place, We want to keep it to our self's. Breakfast and lunch only, and they do sell out fast.
JD B — Google review
Went for the first time today. We had lunch and ordered some desserts as well!! It was so amazing! Everything was so good! We will definitely be going back! Everyone was really nice.

Definitely a hidden gem! This plaza doesn’t have much visibility from 34th but you should check this deli/bakery out! I had the London Broil on Italian, the Boars Head roast beef was medium rare, tender and tasty, the horseradish absolutely makes this sub spectacular! I didn’t try them but next time I will definitely leave with a homemade cannoli or five! 😊 They looked spectacular!
Beth B — Google review
Imagine seeing this review lol. Suddenly you make it your new next obsessive place to have to visit. 🤡 oh but if you know you know. Came here with a friend. Hmm, for lunch actually. It’s like the food is so good that the non personable service can kind of just be dismissed. 🤷🏽‍♀️ It gives “thank you next” energy.. like a Dunkin’ Donuts … lol but the food is worth it 🤷🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️

This place is amazing! From the smell when you walk through the door to the options and taste of the food, my family was so impressed with our first visit here! It certainly won’t be the last! Great service too!

Gigi's Cupcakes is a bakery chain that offers a rotating selection of gourmet cupcakes, plus cookies filled with frosting. The cupcakes are made with premium ingredients and are delicious and fresh. The shop also has a great display of cupcakes, which makes it a popular choice for customers.
Little cupcake shop in Gainesville. Clean store , convenient area, and friendly place. I ordered a 4 pack and received 1 free. They were delicious. The wedding cake was a favorite, just vanilla. Theres just something about a cupcake thats magical! There was a big variety as well, something for Every one.

Great experience from the time I walked in to the day of the event. Maria went above and beyond and made a cake to fit my little one’s needs and our guests. Thank you for making our experience flawless. We appreciate you and look forward to our next event.

Gigi’s cupcakes were wonderful to work with and created beautiful cupcakes for my graduation! Highly recommend
Emma V — Google review
Due to dietary restrictions I was looking for a bakery that could do a gluten free wedding cake. I had tried their gluten free cupcakes and thought they were great. The day of my wedding the cake and cupcakes were not ready on time. The grooms men and officiant were out of the store waiting for this cake. I was sooooo disappointed. It was suppose to be a special day for me and my wedding cake and cupcakes were dry, awful and not worth the 500 plus dollars I paid for it. The owner did call me and returned a part of the cost. I had to share this so I can help others make an informed decision before they find themselves with something that will appear in all their pictures.
Alexandra D — Google review
LOVE THE SERVICE. I had my baby shower and Gigis made my cake for that day, WAS EVERYTHING THAT I WANTED. Highly recommended❤️❤️❤️
Kamila E — Google review
I stopped by this cupcake shop and tried the lemon blueberry cupcake — absolutely delicious! The cake was incredibly moist with a smooth texture, and the flavor balance between the tangy lemon and sweet blueberry was perfect. The store itself is super cute and inviting, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more flavors!
Paola T — Google review
Shitty Cake service, I would give 0 stars if I could. My mom tried to get me a birthday cake for my 21st birthday. The staff members kept messing around and saying they don’t have the right ingredients available, no one available to work on my cake, the flavor I wanted wasn’t in stock, etc. Don’t know why you choose to have this business if you refuse to take customers requests and aren’t prepared for your job 😂🤦‍♀️. Never coming here again.
Athena A — Google review
Walked in and the aroma was mouthwatering! The cupcakes were nicely displayed in all their elegantly decorated grandeur. Traditionals and minis! I purchased a box of 4 minis. Delish! They also do regular sized cakes by order for special occasions!

Nestled in the heart of Gainesville, Florida, The Camellia Rose Inn is a delightful blend of casual elegance and historic charm. This enchanting bed and breakfast boasts a lovely wraparound porch where guests can unwind while soaking in the serene atmosphere. Each room features private baths, ensuring comfort and privacy for all visitors. The inn not only offers cozy accommodations but also plays an active role in uplifting the community by supporting local organizations like the PACE Center for Girls, which empowers at-risk youth.
I just had the most wonderful night staying at this beautiful bed and breakfast. My travel plans went askew and I needed a place to stay very very last minute. Not only were they so very accommodating but the property and the room were top tier. The bed was extremely comfortable with amazing sheets, bathrobes and towels. Although this is a historic building, the shower's water pressure and temps were perfect and the room had great AC. Jacqueline was so kind and friendly. Although I was the only guest, she came over just to make me breakfast. ❤️ While having my breakfast on the porch, I met another caretaker of the property, a lovely Mr. Briggs, a fine and gracious gentleman who was so sweet and friendly that he made my entire morning. Thank you very much for such a lovely experience. 😊
Erica C — Google review
We are not Bed and Breakfast people but we were pleasantly pleased with this place. Jacquline, the innkeeper, and her husband Mike were both great. Mike makes the breakfast in the morning at the sister property. He is very welcoming and a great chef! We stayed in the Inspiration room in the Camilla Rose house. Both nights we came home and sat on the front porch to relax. It was the perfect location for visiting our Florida Gator and going to the game.
Devyn K — Google review
Checked in at around 5pm on Monday for our mini honeymoon stay at the Camellia Rose Inn. Location is quaint. Innkeeper was nice, but then told us she was leaving in half an hour, which was weird. Room was very cozy, but the bed was rock hard, the bathroom was tiny (but nice), and the windows so thin you can hear every single conversation of anyone outside the perimeter of the house. The entire night we both had trouble sleeping. Wake up at around 7:45 next morning and as I’ve already gotten up and out of bed, my wife, sits up in the bed, and her whole entire side just collapses onto the floor. Called maintenance and they were very nice and understanding and said they would take care of it no charge. Went downstairs to breakfast. This was the nail in the coffin for my experience with this place. Coffee is make it yourself with a keurig, cinnamon rolls were out of a can and made in an air fryer, eggs were hard scrambled, precooked heated sausage that looked like it was just microwaved, and flavorless Canadian bacon. Had jams and jellies for biscuits and toast but no toast or biscuits lol. I won’t be coming back and I would never recommend anyone to stay here. We paid $340 for one night and I can make a breakfast myself far better. Not even joking, but I can go down to Hardee’s or McDonald’s and get a better, more filling and flavorful breakfast for $10 than what I had at Camellia Rose Inn. Sad to see that these people make their money off of people that have such low standards that enjoy bland food, stiff beds, and paper thin windows. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
Austin W — Google review
Stayed in Southern Charm room for 2 nights for a wedding we were invited to in Melrose. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Staff was great! The Innkeeper and her husband (who cooks the breakfasts, preparing unique and delicious dishes) were both super friendly. He showed us more of the property, and most of the rooms at the Laurel Oak sister property and Camelia Inn have jetted tubs and king beds. Rooms were cold at night which we loved coming back too after a long day. Great experience. Great value. Highly recommend and plan on returning.
Colin T — Google review
Our night at The Camila Rose Inn was perfect for our visit to see our daughters at the University of Florida. The location is great; safe and the king size bed was the most comfortable I think I’ve ever slept in. The Inn keeper, Jacquelyn, was very accommodating and our hot , homemade , DELICIOUS breakfast the next morning was at the beautiful sister Inn, The Laurel Oak. It was out of this world homemade, exquisite, one of a kind , by chef Mike!! The service and atmosphere made it a six star experience for me, my husband, and our twin daughters. Thank you, Jacquelyn & Mike , for going above and beyond to give us such a nice visit . We WILL be back very soon .
Heather W — Google review
The renovations of the rooms really took away from the historic charm. The management had a hard time handling the other guests and enforcing the rules which affected our sleep. It's nice that it's so close to downtown but there were panhandlers coming onto the property which made us really uncomfortable especially when we had to park on the street.
LE L — Google review
My husband and I have stayed at this Inn twice now, and we absolutely love it. It will be difficult to ever go back to a local hotel after enjoying the comfortable rooms, the quiet neighborhood, the lovely porch under the oak trees. The Inn is beautiful, charming, and full of character. The bed is very comfortable, bathrobes are plush, towels are so nice. Everything about this place is lovely. Loved waking up to an easy continental breakfast downstairs where I could sneak down and grab something in my PJs really quick. The food and coffee are fresh and delicious and I love that there are snacks available to grab late at night. We will be back.
Abby S — Google review
A home away from home, we stayed here during the Hurricate Milton evacuation and could not have chosen a better place to stay. The innkeepers, Mike and Jacqueline are wonderful, supportive and kind. The home-cooked breakfast every day was phantastic, as were the high-end shower amenities, super plush towels, superb bedding and lovely decorative touches. The inn has a darling wrap-around porch with comfy seats and is superbly located in downtown Gainesville.

StayGainesville is a top choice for those looking to experience the best of Gainesville. The iconic restaurant, The Top, is just a short walk away and offers a perfect setting for various occasions. Additionally, StayGainesville provides excellent temporary housing options for students and visitors to the area. Their properties are well-maintained and offer plenty of space for both small and large groups.
#staygainesville you did it again! An incredible 2 days celebrating our niece’s college graduation #UFgrad. Thanks for all the hospitality. The Camellia Rose Inn is adorable and quaint and so peaceful. And the French Toast soufle in the morning was delicious. We’ll be back soon!

Wow! How did I not find them sooner. Finally found the solution to the endless rundown hotels and beat up air BNBs that seem to be the only options in Gainesville. The property was amazing, every amentity was either already in the room or a phone call away. When my daughter threw away the case to her retainer the staff over heard and without telling me they walked to CVS to get her a new one without being asked. Great stay all around. GO GATORS!!

Our experience with StayGainesville was nothing short of exceptional. I visited multiple properties and each were kept immaculate and offered their own charm. Ideal for both large and small groups, well-located, with lots of space to spread out, StayGainesville will continue to be my go-to place when visiting Gainesville.

StayGainesville has been my go to when coming back to Gainesville for football games and reunions. They have such a wonderful inventory and the website makes everything so easy. The accommodations are always neat and clean, and there is such a great variety of locations around town.

Super cool hospitality options if you are headed to Gainesville. We’ve used StayGainesville exclusively for football games and to visit our niece. Management is very responsive and their places are always clean and comfortable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic GVille experience. Go Gators! 🐊

My daughter and her 3 roomates were coming to UF to start their freshman year. However their apartment was not ready so we scrambled to find a place close to campus that they could live in for 2 months. Stay Gainesville was an absolute pleasure to work with during this stressful time. The maintenance crew as well as the front office were always available to answer any questions and tend to little things that came up around the house. They made this stressful time extremely easy. The house was spacious and safe and stay Gainesville was always available in any way we needed them. When my husband and i came to visit we stayed in other stay Gainesville properties after having such a great experience. Highly recommended!
Rachel A — Google review
Staygainesville was very easy to work with, their properties are impeccable and I wouldn't consider working with anyone else in Gainesville. The process to find properties was smooth and they have access to the best properties in Gainesville. If you want to stay in Gainesville with a group of friends or family I would only use Staygainesville.

The Cheesecake Factory is a beloved American chain restaurant known for its generous portions and an extensive menu that features everything from delectable seafood to their signature cheesecakes. Located in a vibrant town center, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a satisfying lunch before indulging in some shopping. Visitors appreciate the consistent atmosphere and cleanliness of the establishment, with attentive service enhancing the overall dining experience.
Like most of my visits to any Cheesecake Factory location, the enchanting atmosphere is present but sometimes the guest around can pollute it. My waitress was very friendly and polite and the food was great paired with my cocktail!

Cheesecake factory. Beautiful atmosphere. Wonderful staff. A good variety of choices. There was six of us. Everyone was happy with their meal. I had the carbonara which I would have enjoyed a little more creamy sauce on it. Besides that, it was an enjoyable dinner. A crazy wide variety of cheesecake choices.
Sandy B — Google review
It's been forever since I've been to Cheesecake Factory, but after seeing a bunch of TikToks, I started craving it and went for dinner. I knew it would be busy, so I made a reservation and didn't have to wait long. Loved checking out all the cheesecakes in the display case. The space inside was way bigger than I expected, and I was really glad we got indoor seating since it was cold out. The menu is huge, so it took a minute to decide. Bread came out first and the brown bread is definitely the best. So soft and perfect with butter. We shared the fried mac and cheese balls, and they were delicious. Super crispy, hot inside, and the creamy marinara sauce was good even though it was more room temp. The portion was great too. I definitely filled up faster than planned after the bread and two mac and cheese balls. For my entrée, I got the crispy chicken costoletta and swapped the mashed potatoes for angel hair pasta with extra lemon sauce. The dish came out piping hot. The chicken was juicy and crispy, the lemon sauce was amazing on both the chicken and pasta, and the portion was huge. They forgot my asparagus at first, but it came out a few minutes later. It was honestly pretty plain on its own, but way better dipped in the lemon sauce. I ate about half the plate so I could still have dessert For dessert, I got the Peach Perfect cheesecake. It had raspberry sauce on top and peach pieces throughout. So good and very peach-forward, which I loved. Tried my friend's celebration cheesecake too and hers was a little more frozen. Mine was super soft; I kinda wish it was a bit colder, but still delicious.
Helen — Google review
Really one of the best restaurants in Gainesville. The vibe is wonderful and the service is neither overbearing nor impolite, but thoughtful and generous! They make the food good here, in the sense, you’d think you can’t mess up breaded chicken but there are some places that does.. This place makes a delicious breaded chicken for pasta! Cheesecakes are consistently crave-satisfying. It’s such a nice place to come with a group for a good dinner option for everyone.
Blue — Google review
We came to cheesecake factory to have a little bite to eat. The cheesecakes were super good and tasty! Our server was Justin who was delightful throughout his service, always polite and cheerful! Interactions with other staff were also welcoming! Thankyou!
Jagoda M — Google review
Always impeccably on point with the food and the service. The only reason why I give 4 stars for atmosphere, is for the music, it is a little loud inside especially with a busy crowd, staff and general restaurant noises. It can be a little overbearing. Aside from that our family always has a great experience here. Several of the wait staff have come to recognize us. Their salads are very sizable and worth every penny, Turkey burgers are always juicy and never dry hockey pucks and with crispy Sweet Potato Fries. My father loves the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn or the beef sliders with cheese. Never a bad meal!!
Mark F — Google review
Easily the best restaurant in town. The food is phenomenal and fresh made. Nothing frozen, all made right there in the restaurant. You can taste the difference from other restaurants who don't have a scratch kitchen. Wonderful service and the managers walk around greeting guests and asking about the experience. Karma Cream is a popular counter-serve operation located on University, offering a variety of organic coffee, vegan sandwiches, and delectable ice cream. The café boasts an array of dairy-free and vegan options that are so delicious they're hard to distinguish from their dairy counterparts. In addition to their wide selection of coffee choices, Karma Cream also serves up an assortment of pastries and ice creams daily.
Karma Cream is a fantastic place for coffee lovers! I was here with my husband and we loved their coffee. Their bakery selection is just good, with delicious pastries, including vegan options. It's also a perfect spot to sit and work while enjoying a nice cup of coffee. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for great coffee!

I would like to share some feedback regarding the service. The cashier with curly hair and a septum ring did not greet me and seemed somewhat disengaged, which made the interaction feel a bit unwelcoming. I believe that a warm greeting and a more friendly approach when assisting guests would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.

Came in on Friday 12th for an iced coffee and a naughty treat. The iced lattes came in a glass which was really nice! Love that you have lots of vegan options 💚 which made it a great experience for us! The woman working making drinks was miserable, she didn’t acknowledge us even when we said thank you. The guy working was nice and friendly.

Decent spot with room for improvement. Karma Cream is an okay place overall, and I can see why people like it. The location is great -- easy to get to, walkable, and the inside is a pleasant spot to sit, get some work done, or meet up with friends. The vibe is a strong point. The food and ice cream are fine, though I personally find them a bit too sweet. Nothing bad, just not very balanced in flavor. As a tea drinker, the drinks are where I feel most underwhelmed. The tea tends to be over-steeped, and the chai in particular is extremely over-spiced. I could practically feel the cinnamon permeate my soul -- it’s intense but still just drinkable. It’s not a bad place, and I wouldn’t mind coming back for the atmosphere. With a few tweaks to sweetness and tea preparation, it could easily move up in rating.

It's fine. Tried on a friend's suggestion but kinda disappointing. They were closing early at 2p bc students aren't in town and they didn't have any baked goods so menu was super limited. The strawberry matcha however was phenomenal and most places really disappoint on these so thank you. Tasty but overpriced and all of it is vegan, so make sure that's what you want!

I come here pretty often but I just had the most amazing breakfast today and I needed to leave a review, whatever they got going on with their special menu right now is so good we got coffees and the breakfast sandwich. highly recommend. service was good today some days it can be a little lacking tho. food seems to all be made to order so sometimes takes a little longer for the sandwiches but it's worth it. great food and coffee today

I used to visit this place all the time primarily to study, but I don't go as much anymore because unless I go at 8 AM, all of the seats are taken 😭. Glad to see business booming though! Karma Cream is in a super convenient location and has an incredible atmosphere. All of the staff are super cool and easy to chat with, but shoutout to Joe, Autumn, Gabby, Angie, & Jaylen. They're all so awesome. The owner, Kyle, is also a pretty cool guy. The drinks here are always pretty on-point & consistent in quality across the board, & I really appreciate that they don't upcharge for alternative milk. Also as a non-vegetarian, I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the food here. Definitely pay this place a visit & you might just want to come back.

I used to come here regularly and decided to visit again after being in the area. Staff remain friendly, chill vibes untouched, and their drinks always hit the spot. Sitting here currently with their new seasonal drink, the Orange Mexican Mocha, and it's so good that I had to leave a review. Thank you Karma!

love love love midnight cookies!!!! staff are so sweet and the cookies are divine. not many places make fresh cookies at the hours my boyfriend and i like to go out so we've been coming here almost every week for a couple months now. i love the dirt cookie and the midnight cookie most but you cant go wrong with chocolate chip!!

Needed some snacky cakes so I ordered a few different kinds of cookies. I ordered through DoorDash and they were still warm when I got them! They were also delicious! Definitely try this place! They have a variety of cookies! Oh yeah, definitely props to the Doordash driver getting to my house real quick and give me those warm cookies!

First time trying Midnight Cookies and wish I had gone sooner, especially since they’re closing soon. The shop is small, but they had fun options including vegan cookies. I ordered the Banana Foster and Lucky Charms. It took about 10–15 minutes since they’re made fresh to order, but they came out warm, soft, and in a pizza box. Loved the crispy edges with soft centers—once cooled, they were the perfect texture. The Banana Foster was amazing, even for someone who doesn’t usually like banana flavors. The Lucky Charms was sweet and fun with white chocolate chips, though I didn’t really taste the cereal. Overall, delicious and worth the wait.

Been coming here for years, this place hits EVERY TIME. 11/10 the cookies are divine!!!! My favorites are the s’mores, and the dirt cookie. The chain cookie shops could never 🫷🏽 Thank you for existing, this is forever a Gainesville gem❤️❤️❤️

Wanted a late night sweet treat, and I was happy with what I received. I honestly could say they are better than Crumbl cookie, less sugary, way less cakey, and more budget friendly for more cookies. Staff was very nice and friendly, cookies were warm and fresh. 😁
Jenale C — Google review
I have been coming to Midnight Cookies for years and I still love it! These cookies taste delicious, and I absolutely love that they come out fresh from the oven and get hand delivered to you at your car when ordering in person. I always go for cookies and cream, snickerdoodle, or birthday cake. But I even go for a featured cookie every now and again to shake things up. I love shopping at local businesses, so I much prefer Midnight Cookies to something like Insomnia or Crumbl. Plus, the late night hours at Midnight Cookies always suits my needs (and they are great about posting on Instagram in case of unexpected closures).
Shari H — Google review
I like that the cookies are made to order and they are a nice size. The wait time is what I didn't prefer. We had to wait seating in our car which is no problem but they shorted us a cookie which 20 minutes turned into almost an hour wait cause they had other orders ahead of our one cookie. We had got the sixteen box. Cookies were warm and delicious.
Ms. D — Google review
I like these cookies they aren’t the best in my opinion they could be a bit softer but you get a lot of cookies for cheap and the cookies are really big I get them on DoorDash all the time the best flavor is the snickerdoodle but I also really like the peanut butter one the ones that have the filling stuff on the top get a little soggy. There cookies are always made fresh and baked to order. They were so hot when I got them when I tried to eat them they were falling apart. But after letting them cool for a bit they were really good. I like the oatmeal raisin

If you're looking for a delightful spot to unwind and enjoy some delicious treats, look no further than Patticakes in the Village. Nestled in the charming Haile Village Center, this cafe is a beloved local gem where friendly staff greet you by name—and even remember your furry friends! With its bright and airy atmosphere, it's an ideal place to relax or get some work done. Whether you’re craving house-blend drip coffee or one of their renowned cupcakes, Patticakes has something for everyone.
Great coffee and food options - I love their quiche! Their espresso drinks are good too and they have some fun seasonal flavors. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Parking and seating are more limited than their Tioga location, but even during busy times they usually still have a couple tables and seats available. They also have an online pickup option.

Super cute little shop - employees were lovely. However the turkey panini is truly a light bite - only 2-4 slices of turkey for the whole sandwich. If they would have doubled or tripled their ingredients in the sandwich it would have been great. Coffee cake was generic.
Sarah J — Google review
This place is really great! The coffee is good and the cupcakes are wonderful! I got the Night Game beverage and my fiancé got the spiced chai. The strawberry cheesecake cupcake was glorious! I definitely recommend this place.
Jennifer K — Google review
the actual coffee and treats served at this place are not worth the price in any capacity. the latte was watered down and the red velvet cupcake genuinely tasted like nothing. additionally, the fact that the latte and café con leche are separate menu items show that this place is a money grab. the only difference between the two is the fact that the cafe con leche already has sugar added and that they charge you 70 cents more for the same drink. the workers are extremely kind and the ambiance is wonderful, but the food itself if not up to par. my response to the owner: your employees did in fact explain that the cafe con leche has caramelized sugar rather than plain sugar; that doesn't take away from the fact that the difference in price is pretty ridiculous. In many bakeries across Miami cafe con leches are typically around 2-3 dollars for a medium, and though i understand an increase in price due to this being a small business, $5.40 without tax is insanity. also, I am a frequent patron at multiple small business and am okay with paying higher prices for the sake of supporting local places. however, your food is simply not good and definitely not worth the price. the coffee at your establishment tastes watered down and old (even though I saw the employees pull a fresh shot) and your baked goods taste like absolutely nothing. its interesting how you decided to harp on the cafe con leche instead of actually respond to my complaint of how the food was simply bad. the cupcake didn't even taste sweet, it simply tasted like bread. I hope you spend your time improving the quality of your product rather than insulting an honest internet review.

I was looking for a new place to study and I am glad I found this place it is so cute! They have a decent amount of seating indoors but sometimes it can be a little crowded. They also have indoor seating. They have lots of coffee flavors and they are inexpensive as well! I tried the breakfast sandwich and the coffee cake both of which were very amazing. It can be a little bit loud in there sometimes depending who’s there but I used my headphones. The workers there were also super nice. Overall this is a super cute chill spot and I would definitely recommend it for coffee and/ or studying
Britney M — Google review
This is the place to go for amazing cupcakes! The cakes are moist and the frosting is dense and smooth. I love their red velvet flavor the most because the cream cheese frosting is perfect. They also have breakfast items, paninis, and coffee, but those weren't stand out. I would come back again just for the cupcakes. Staff were extremely friendly too!

Always a great experience here. I moved a few months ago and I miss this place! The customer service is amazing. Genuine friendliness. Most employees learned my name and even my dogs name. They even started carrying vegan ice cream just before I left!! Can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back on my next visit to Haile.

This is a unique little find in a really cute town center. They have good hot chocolate and I wish there was one closer to the university campus. My only complaint is that I keep getting emails and text messages since going and signing up for rewards. One of the messages even spoofed my area code (which is not a Gainesville area code). Regardless, I’ll definitely come back again when I get the chance or am in the area.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience, look no further than Sweet Buns! Nestled next to the popular Yummy House, this charming Asian-inspired bakery is a feast for the senses. With its bright and inviting atmosphere, you'll find an array of pastries and breads that showcase a unique fusion of Asian and French flavors. Sweet Buns takes pride in crafting their treats daily using only premium ingredients, ensuring each bite is filled with passion and care.
I literally love sweet buns I have tried so many things there and not a single thing has been bad. among my favorites are the taro bun and the golden onion roll. of course anything with pork floss is amazing. they have so many options i can't even begin to say everything there that is good. the best part is they are sooo cheap. it's literally like $2-$3 for each thing so you can try so many new things. my friend and i usually get one sweet thing, one savory thing, and then share. this is usually somewhat filling. i love this place so much and can't wait to keep trying new things there.
Britney M — Google review
Such a super fun experience! Cute Asian bakery with a variety of sweet and savory goodies. Everything looks so good that it's hard to choose. The prices are amazing so you don't really have to- get it all! We tried several things including the pineapple pastry, lemon roll, ham & cheese, strawberry cake, and mango mousse desserts. They were all pretty tasty. Nothing there felt overly decadent, and the flavors were subtle and (to me) not too overly sweet. I gave the extra star for the variety and the prices. They nearly lost a star because the checkout time was soooooo long (I think there was someone in training, though). Overall, fun olace and fun experience. Would go back.

What an amazing bakery. I've never been into one with so many artistic choices. Talk about yummy is an understatement. I've tasted their buttery bread many times. Put on some pounds doing it too. But it's the sheer beauty of these delicacies that impress me. Prices are low. Investment worth it. Go. Buy. Eat. Go back again and again!!!

We only got 4 items bc we are always disappointed when we go to bakeries and ended up wasting money. Well we regret it, bc these baked items are amazing. They were all fresh and probably the best Chinese baked goods we’ve had in Florida. We will definitely make an effort to stop here next time we drive by Gainesville. Delicious!

Awesome bakery! Really affordable. So many cool buns to try, ranging from savory to sweet. Lots of cool drinks as well, but the real show stopper is the flavored moose which are fantastic looking. They also tast pretty good too! Great service as well.

Tucked away in the corner of a busy shopping plaza some of the sweetest, eclectic treats you will find known to mankind. Maybe a good treat at the end of the day or a purchase to brighten the day of another. They have food menu items also I have not yet indulged but will be back to VERY soon to fill my pudge.

Wonderful bakery with an amazing assortment of sweet and savory Asian pastries. We were on the hunt for sweet things so we nabbed a Japanese cheesecake, a pineapple bun, and a puff doughnut. Everything was delicious and the only mild annoyance was discovering the container for the cheesecake was stapled shut. A bit difficult to deal with when you're in an on the go situation; perhaps tape or a sticker would be as effective.

If you're in Gainesville, Florida, make sure to set your alarm for an early visit to BakerBaker. This charming bakery opens its doors from 7 am to 11 am, making it the perfect spot for a morning coffee paired with one of their mouthwatering pastries. While they serve only drip coffee sourced from the local Opus Coffee, it complements their extensive range of baked goods beautifully.
Each for just $3! You can enjoy even more delicious bread here at a better price than anywhere else. But hurry—they sell out quickly! My top pick is the morning bun!

We got to Baker Baker around 8:10am on A Saturday and they were already sold out of most things, which honestly just shows how loved they are. The lady at the front was so kind and welcoming, even though it was clear they'd had a rush (it was Easter weekend, so totally understandable that people came early and stocked up!). Everything is super reasonably priced, all items are $3, and you can get a half dozen for just $12. That's wild for the quality you're getting! They have an amazing variety: danishes, cookies, pound cakes, and more. We ended up with a vanilla glazed cinnamon bun, lemon pound cake, cinnamon danish crunch, almond cloud cookie, karma cookie, and a pecan pie bar to split with one of my close friends, and every single bite was absolutely delicious. I wish I had known there was a line forming right at 7am. I would've rolled out of bed sooner. Thankfully, they told us you can call ahead and reserve, which we might just do next time because I'm already thinking about going back. I highly recommend the danishes & vanilla cinnamon glaze glazed bun and the pecan pie bar! This place is one of those spots you'll want to visit again and again, just get there early or call ahead to snag the goods!

Amazing selection of pastries & baked goods. The staff was super friendly & willing to answer all of our questions about how things are made and what they recommend etc. You can also tell that they make an effort to build real relationships with their customers as they knew everyone by name who walked in and really makes you miss that type of mom & pop shop. Being here just brought joy to my day ☀️

I have come here on multiple occasions and they are very small consistent bakery. Guava and cheese pastry is my favorite & literally to die for. They sell out way before 7:35 so get there soon as they open.

There are two bakery places in Gainesville that are just super amazing. One is Uppercrust, and the other one is here, BakerBaker. I've been here a couple of times before, but either the shop was closed (because all items were sold out) or only a few were left that I didn't want. Finally, today, during Summer semester (with less college students) on a weekday-Thursday at 7 am, we were able to purchase some items we want. We had about 4 teams ahead when we arrived. All items were 3 dollars each. They all looked great. You can get some items warm, as they are displayed in a separate warming machine. We bought pretzels (salted, cheese), and croissants (butter, chocolate, pecan). They all tasted soooooo good. Very soft and melting. Plus, all staffs are super friendly and they seemed so happy. Such vibe also makes our morning with positive and happy mind, and enhances the tastes of the breads. From now on, I am going to be a big big supporter and spread out the words. This place is just amazing. I left many many Google reviews, but this one is one of my highlights. Please, if you live in Gainesville but haven't tried it here yet, or if you are visiting this area, stop by and try it here. You will never regret. I highly strongly recommend this place. Come early in the morning, if not, they are probably all gone.

Love these delicious pastries and their cost ($3/pastry!). Four stars due to new owners (since summer 2025) are not friendly at all! Miss the old team.
Emilia Q — Google review
How disappointing the new owners suck. I appreciated this spot while it was being run by the old family, they seemed like they really cared about it and it showed in the quality and taste, but that has since completely gone away. Also the lady at the front was rude and rolled her eyes when I walked in, like I can literally see you ???
S — Google review
Soooo good! The staff was very friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. One caution - don't wait too late in the morning to go. They are apparently very popular and will close early once they sell out. We got there close to closing and thankfully still had some good options.

Brother Cookie is a bakery that makes some of the best chocolate chip cookies in Gainesville. The cookies are so good, you'll be tempted to order them even if you're not hungry. The variety of flavors available is also great, and you won't be disappointed by any of them.
Amazing!!! Tried 3 different flavors the first visit, came back two hours later for more. I’ve become more of a cookie person recently and I would definitely recommend this place! The cookies are very buttery, gooey, and perfectly sweet. Double chocolate is my favorite flavor for any baked good and these cookies were 10/10 🔥

Excellent cookies here! Soft, thick, and flavorful. My favorite is either browned butter or rosemary fig. Very unique offerings and classics like chocolate chip.
Neil G — Google review
I was really excited to try this place, and I'm really happy I did. The prices are very affordable compared to their competitors, and they even have a day-old cookie special if you don't mind a little less freshness, which I think is really cool and honest. I got the Cookies and Cream giant cookie and a mini chocolate walnut cookie. They were both great! The cookies had a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness, with a crispy crust on the outside while maintaining a gooey interior. I will say, for my preference, they were a bit undercooked, but not too much, and I really love that you can ask them to warm it up beforehand. The guy working there wasn't very vocal or cheerful, but other than that, the service was great. Definitely recommend!
Shicken V — Google review
AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!! I took one bite and immediately called GPD to have the cookies tested for illegal substances (😂).. Simply amazing!! During my first visit I tried the loaded oatmeal raisin, and the double chocolate chip - I came in right before closing and these were the only cookies that were left. I assumed these were unpopular because they were still available after a long day. Those cookies were the absolute best... which led to me visiting again today to try more. I was very very pleased.. The lemon white chocolate was the biggest surprise, but the loaded oatmeal raisin still takes the crown as my #1. Every cookie was the best I've had in each category. Keep up the great work, I look forward to trying more.

Amazing local cookie bakery. Mini cookies are huge and giant cookies are insanely large! They always have unique, gourmet flavors and they add new ones regularly. There's a small seating area inside and you can buy day old cookies for cheaper and they still taste just as good. We love the strawberry cheesecake, browned butter, fig and rosemary and oatmeal cookies.

We were expecting good cookies, but they were absolutely amazing! We tried four different kinds including lemon white chocolate (our favourite), chocolate chunk roasted walnut, red velvet and s'mores and everysingle one was unbelievably delicious. Perfect texture, rich flavor, and top-notch quality. The price was totally worth it (and honestly not expensive). As the saying goes, we came for copper and found gold. Le Macaron French Pastries is a charming patisserie that transports you straight to the heart of France with its exquisite selection of treats. From their signature macarons, available in an impressive 21 flavors including gluten-free options, to freshly baked croissants and indulgent pastries like tiramisu and napoleons, every bite is a celebration of flavor.
Visited Gainesville today, so we decided to check out Le Macaron shop before heading back home, cute little shop, good variety of flavors for the macarons, we tried a strawberry lime and a salted caramel, I would have them a 7/10, ( and that’s cos I m a macaron freak 🤦🏻‍♀️), I wish they had a bit more flavor, and turns out they not made in house, but still very delicious compared to store bought ones, we also had croissants which they were goood eats, however what reality impressed me was their pistachio cake slices, it was delicious, light, presentation was great. Next time I will try their eclairs and chocolate little bonbons.

We ordered the hazelnut cake and were really disappointed. It was so hard that it actually broke my fork! We waited 10-15 minutes hoping it would soften, but it stayed rock solid. It seemed like it had been kept in the freezer way too long.. it had almost no flavor at all. We ended up giving up on eating it. A cake should never be that hard for any reason.. seriously, lol.

Stopped by, first visit, we looove macarons! I had the pistachio flavored macaron and it was delicious. My husband tried the Colombian coffee flavored one, he could taste the coffee, liked it. We’d say they are above average. It’s not like my favorite place, Madeline’s in Charlotte(South Park), NC where they’re baking every day, so I’ll say they are above the local average in macarons. At the Gainesville location it turns out no one is cooking in house as they have their Sarasota based French baker doing the macarons for them. Ambience is very nice. You can get a mimosa and croissant for $5 today! They do offer other bakery items and a few chocolate items, and other cocktails. I will come back to try a cocktail & sweet after dinner some time in near feature.

What nice coffee shop, delicious pastries and macaroons.... And also home made ice-cream
Juan N — Google review
Everything looks so pretty! But it doesn’t taste pretty. The macarons have a gummy texture, not airy and light as I am accustomed to. The ice cream was too sweet and lacked balance. Also, there is a “waiting period” of 5-10 minutes before you can consume your dessert. That’s egregious!

Love the ice cream here! I came back twice just for the caramellionaire flavor. So rich and delicious. The only issue is that for the cost, the portions are very small. Two scoops of ice cream don't even reach the brim of the cup, which is slightly disappointing.

She didn’t waste no time in assisting me. Make her a manager asap. She deserves it!! - that being said please put some ac in there for the workers! I don’t write many bad reviews but today I wanted to go out and have a nice midnight snack. I was really disappointed tonight and wanted to talk about my experience. I wanted to try insomnia cookies for the first time because I heard so much good things about it. After this visit I’m not sure I am feeling good enough to go back and try it again. I have a sweet tooth and I don’t care if anything is too sweet or even is bland. I’m sure that a cookie was not supposed to be as soft as it was. Like it was too soft if you know what I’m saying. I usually enjoy Insomnia Cookies, but this visit was disappointing. The store smelled strongly like sewage of some sorts, which made me lose my appetite. It was also extremely hot inside. ALSO while I was ordering, the ceiling was literally dripping on me. These conditions really made the experience unpleasant. That said, the two girls working behind the counter were fantastic. They had excellent customer service skills, were friendly, and apologized profusely for the situation. Their professionalism was the one bright spot in an otherwise uncomfortable visit, so for that I thank you ladies!

Just Wow!!! This is our only location to order from. We really enjoy the cookies here, but today was a terrible experience. We live approximately 45mins from the store. I wondered why all of our cookies 8 in total was in such a small box. We get home and they are half done. More doughy that done. The cookies were melted together and a couple were like a glob. Just awful! I spent $21.10 on cookies for my family that we couldn't enjoy. I'm highly dissatisfied and feel like we wasted our money. We went back today because on Friday I ordered the blueberry pancake cookie and my husband really liked them and we went to town to purchase and was highly disappointed. Trying to separate them was terrible. I know they have several boxes. They received a shipment while we were picking up on.Friday. I know it's hard keeping staff, but people please STOP applying to businesses only to make these companies look bad!

My girlfriend and I ordered some cookies, delivery driver didn't follow instructions by handing it to us - instead left it at the wrong apartment. We called, they said that we didn't leave an apartment number but we did. Even have a screenshot of the order; not only that, but he also left it at the right apartment number but wrong building. Also they said we didn't leave a number for the driver to call, which we did and another driver had previously called using that number. So all in all, complete frauds who genuinely don't care if they actually deliver it to the right address. Had me in a wheelchair trying to find the right apartment they left it at. Just go to Midnight Cookies instead, they actually have good delivery

I am not one to leave reviews but reading the last review, I had almost the exact same experience. The smell inside was awful, I wouldn’t say sewage but something definitely strong and nauseating, the heat made it even worse. I also noticed the moisture dripping from the ceiling, which made me really question the cleanliness and upkeep of the store. To make matters worse, the front door was propped wide open, and there were bees flying around inside while people were trying to order. Between the smell, the heat, the dripping ceiling, and the insects buzzing around, it felt more like being outside at a rundown picnic than in a cookie shop. The staff were extremely polite and tried to be as helpful as they could, but no amount of good customer service can make up for an environment that feels unsanitary, uncomfortable, and unsafe. Honestly, it’s hard to believe this location is allowed to operate in these conditions, I did not order anything and just left. Don’t recommend!

Nestled in Gainesville's Butler Plaza, Maple Street Biscuit Company is a delightful casual café that celebrates the Southern tradition of biscuits. This charming eatery specializes in mouthwatering biscuit sandwiches and classic Southern sides, making it an ideal spot for breakfast or lunch.
Great big fluffy biscuits with gravy is my go to. This time I tried the Berry tea Punch because Ms. Majesty told me how good it is. She was not lying. It's a university town so it was busy and a bit loud. But the biscuits are worth going back.

We went on a Friday, mid morning. There was zero wait, the place was nice and clean and the staff were friendly and courteous. We ordered at the counter, found a seat and the atmosphere is pleasant. It is not fast food so it took about 15-minutes to get our order. Well worth the wait! I had the Farmer which was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Almost more than I could eat. We shared a maple cold brew which was also delicious. My husband had the Retro plate which he thoroughly enjoyed. The only reason I rated it a 4 is the cost of $33 for breakfast for 2. But at least it was delicious and enjoyable.

I had the “goat cheese pepper jelly” chicken biscuit sandwich and it was phenomenal! The flavors worked together so perfectly. The lady manager Chris gave great customer service. I definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I were in Gainesville for a quick day trip and have been wanting to try Maple Street... So glad we did! First the goodo was amazing!! Neither of us have had chicken that tasted that good in a very long time. The biscuits and waffles were soft and tasty. The staff was even better than the food. The manager in training Ebony was fantastic!! It was busy but she kept the restaurant moving, kept it clean, and was polite and friendly and her staff motivated. Can't say enough about her.. Hopefully the Orlando location can match on food and personel!

Ebony is the best! She gave the best service and hospitality. Ebony greeted us with a good morning, brought our food to the table and made sure we had everything we needed for breakfast. We will definitely be back for more amazing service from her! THANK YOU EBONY!!!

We ordered two biscuits and gravy, maple biscuit, and an extreme biscuit and gravy, a 4 piece smashbrown, and 4 fountain drinks which cost us $75.14. My husband ordered the bacon that on the menu said was $1 upcharge and was instead charged $4.79. I ordered a side of jelly. I was charged $8.00 and will post the picture of the liquid syrup they called jam. I am not one to post reviews but this is crazy. The tables were so sticky from previous guests I put down napkins for my plate. After eating they were completely stuck to the table. I have no issues with paying for a quality meal, but when the food is just ok and then to be charged $8.00 for 4 containers of "jam". I will not be back.
Sam M — Google review
We went today. Didn't look so busy but the wait time for the food was incredible for the amount of customers. We saw food sitting and waiting to go out for more than 15-20 minutes. The food was passable. We had squeaky goats, one on biscuit one on taco. The chicken was good but the goat cheese was minimal and the "pepper jelly" tasted just like the sweet thai chili sauce that you get at Trader Joe's. I am an amatuer biscuit maker and my husband said my biscuits were better. It seemed they were behind on biscuit making and pulling them out of the oven before they were completely cooked in the middle. I don't think we'll be back anytime soon.
Cherie A — Google review
We have been having absolutely horrific service for the last few months including over an hour wait to not even get the correct meal when it finally arrives. If the food actually comes, then it’s usually pretty yummy. When we came today, the employees actually try to talk you into leaving. And if you say you want to stay, then the other customers approach you recommending you leave because of their terrible experience. I used to love Maple Street, but moving forward, I can’t come here in the future because of their service. And based on the empty restaurant, I’d say more than me feel this way.

The Vine Sourdough Bakery is a small cafe and bakery with outdoor seating that offers organic light bites, sourdough breads and pastries. The cafe has been well-respected for its delicious baked goods and beverages.
Stopped in during the local library's book sale for a sandwich. The tempeh rubin was perfect. Warm, crisp, with good flavor & tart krout. Was really happy with my meal & experience. Cold brew is good too! 🙂

I love Vine, however I'm noticing my daily lunches are overbaked. The cinnamon rolls are pretty torched and black. The loaf of bread I bought was full of holes. My cookie was really stale today. The customer service has gone downhill. One of the employees has wonderful customer service, says hello and makes you feel welcome. She is the "face" of the business and does a fantastic job. Everyone else stares at you and doesn't say a word until they feel like prioritizing you.

Never been to the brick and mortar shop before as I usually get something from one of the farmers markets. Came in on a Tuesday morning for a quick breakfast of a ham and cheese croissant and an iced coffee. The pastry was delicious and butter. What really impressed me was the fact they used frozen coffee as ice cubes so your cold brew doesn't get watered down! What a nice touch!

There was an awesome sandwich they had on the menu with Brie and cranberry or soemthing it Was like $7…. But now it’s off the menu it was delicious! In alternative I got the guava pastry and it wasn’t that good. The sparkling grapefruit juice was gross. My sandwich was also not actually really toasted it was so weird. There’s an older gentleman who makes the pasta and he’s super kind though! The overall atmosphere of the place is off. Mostly I don’t understand the weird “end prison slavery” sign … but please do educate me on that.

Thebread baker is a star. Excellent sourdough. Unfortunately to say your pastry chef is not so good. I have never had a bad croissant in my life until today. A croissant is supposed to be flaky. The croissant that I had today from your place was soggy and oily. I suspect that soeone does not know about using cold butter not a butter/oil mix. It was drenched in oil. I also had a scone that was at best mediocre......I threw it out after 3 bites. It wasn't awful like the croissant just not good. I drove from Dunnellon for the sour dough and it was worth it.
Michel Y — Google review
First time visiting this local bakery. I was originally looking for a homemade pie store and when that turned up results that were too far from Gville, I settled for baked goods. I was actually searching for office party snacks and ended up here from all the good reviews. Theresa, co-owner of Vine, was behind the counter on this very rainy Thursday afternoon. She was very accommodating and friendly. Her husband was busy baking in the back area. The baked treats looked great and were slightly low in supply already despite the gloomy weather. About 3 people were sitting and eating in the small café area, and there was 1 customer who was in the store waiting for us to finish. My husband and I spent about $70, including tip for: 3 large cinnamon rolls, 5 large brownies, 1 very large cranberry scone, 3 chocolate croissants, and 3 cinnamon chocolate chip bread pudding slices. Top quality was well-worth the price. My co-workers really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls and brownies. The chocolate croissants were also gone pretty quickly. I personally liked the bread pudding and the brownies since both weren't too sweet nor too bland and went well with a cup of hot tea. My husband's favorite was the cinnamon roll, which appears to be a best-selling item here. Even if it's around the newer section of Gainesville, this bakery / eatery has the nostalgic energy of a French-style vinyard café (the store name makes a lot of sense as they also sell wine here), especially with the gray stone section walls outside the bakery. The outdoor patio area was soaked since it was raining all day, and the metal on some of the furniture was oxidizing, but don't let that rustic exterior turn you away - the baked goods are amazing. We'll be back!👏

Love coming here for lunch when I want fresh bread. I get their hot vegetarian sandwiches, quiche, croissants, country loaves, and grab-go-sandwiches. This is a small business, so go early to beat the line and before they sell out.

Breakfast restaurant
Nestled in the Millhopper Shopping Center, The Bagel Bakery is a beloved neighborhood gem that beckons breakfast lovers with its enticing array of bagels and sandwiches. This charming spot not only serves up an impressive selection of bagel flavors and toppings but also boasts homemade cream cheese spreads that elevate each bite to new heights. Complementing their delicious offerings is a range of organic coffee and espresso, freshly roasted in-house for that perfect morning pick-me-up.
New to the Gainesville area and stumbled upon this spot while stopping at USPS. It's so cute! Decor is very homey and welcoming. First stop I got the Pizza bagel on garlic, my gf got a focaccia on spinach I believe, and we split a lemon poppy seed muffin. Overall very yummy, a little up there in price but so is everything these days unfortunately. Stopped there again this morning I got a turkey bacon on garlic again, my gf got the vegetarian on sesame, and we split an apple cinnamon muffin. Omg that muffin was to die for, super moist! I liked it more than the lemon. No shade to the lemon I'm just used to really artificial lemon I think, it tasted homemade which isn't a bad thing! Staff seemed friendly, it was busy so not much they could do while keeping up with orders etc. Will definitely stay coming when funds allow!
Haylee S — Google review
There was a lot of people here on a Saturday morning, but the bakery was definitely very outdated and needs a very good facelift. There was not just cosmetic damages but also mechanical things that didn’t sit well with me. The bagel was good but I think it could be better with some changes.
Regan C — Google review
The menu looks so good so much to choose from! Wish these bagels were more fresh especially when this is a treat for us, I'm not sure what they're doing in Fort Pierce but their bagels are so soft, and crunchy outside the perfect combination I wish I could experience the same here, i will say the foccaia egg spinach was delicious and the Italian turkey was excellent. They both were fantastic, the coffee bar options were incredible and coffee was superb.
Paulina F — Google review
I ordered the bacon and egg bagels in the blueberry and cinnamon raisin flavor. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy but great for all crowd ages with quick service. A bit on the pricier side, but the bagels were very large, fresh and the bacon was cooked perfectly. I only wish that the bagels themselves had a stronger flavor for each type. You would almost think it was a plain bagel. Delicious either way, and I will definitely be back.

Calm atmosphere- very city bagel/coffee shop-esque. 🥯☕️ Huge selection for food and drinks. Friendly & efficient staff. I got a spinach & sausage egg sandwich. Traditionally served on focaccia - I got it on an Asiago bagel. The bagel is fresh and soft! Crunchy on the outside soft and warm on the inside. 10/10 recommend & will be back! ✨🥯

A great breakfast spot with friendly staff, I was in Gainesville 5 days and came here twice, I recommend the bacon and cheddar bagel with regular cream cheese, I liked the ice coffee too, pricing is very reasonable compared to a lot of other spots

I went in there an hour before they closed and got the best onion bagel of my life. I've been to New York City dozens of times, and these bagels are better than the ones I've had in NYC. Toasted to perfection on the outside and soft on the inside. The cream cheese was soft and perfect. I loved it so much that I bought a tub to go and a bunch of bagels. I definitely will be back. Staff is extremely nice.

The store prides itself on maintaining strict quality standards, providing shoppers with the finest natural and organic foods available. Customers can expect to find fresh produce, meats, seafood, healthy grocery items, and natural self-care products. In addition to groceries, Whole Foods also offers a variety of household amenities.
1st time at this location. Traveled an hr. to get here just so I could buy some rhubarb. The layout of the produce dept was awesome. I actually used the scales available, and how nice it was that it showed me how much I was going to pay for the 2.41 lbs. I walked around and was impressed with the freshness of the meat and fish displays. There is so much to see, and I'm sure I missed something. Prices are high to me, but then again, if you want freshness, it's affordable. I'll be back with a cooler next time.

The best place, for finding very specific and high-quality, vegan/vegetarian food. From fresh produce, to packaged snacks, and spices/add-ons… this is the spot. Fresh baked goods, pizza (ingredients for homemade or takeout), and fresh flowers/vases, make this a one-stop shopping experience.

The store overall has a good selection of items and the staff overall have been nice when I've visited. The past few visits have shown some opportunity for improvement with the freshness of the fruit however. I've picked up a moldy or very bruised fruit or 4.

This is a great spot for business meetings. There's a great variety of food and because it's so open, I've noticed that sound doesn't carry to other tables like in smaller coffee shops/restaurants. I really like their salad and hot bar as well their baked goods. I rarely do groceries there.

Pascal's Coffeehouse is a Christian-themed cafe located near the University of Florida campus, making it a popular spot for students and locals. The cozy atmosphere, complete with a fireplace and comfy seating, provides a welcoming escape from the chaos of university life. With its open two-story layout and Uppercrust bakery menu, Pascal's embodies millennial coffee culture. It's known as a safe haven for those seeking privacy to study or relax.
I am a big fan of Pascals! The baristas are all very kind and intentional about showing good hospitality to customers. They take their time to make sure they make the best quality drinks and create a homey environment. This is also a great place to meet and hang out with other Christian students, since it is located in the Christian study center. I can’t go to Pascals without running into friends from church or student ministries. My favorite drinks to get are the matcha with almond milk and latte with honey!
Brooke D — Google review
I like the option of meeting for coffee near campus. It’s walking distance to the north side of UF. But my hot coffee was lukewarm and took nearly 10 minutes to make when there wasn’t a line. My friends who arrived before me said their coffees were also not hot. I overheard the girl in front of me complain her coffee’s flavor was off. I may give it another chance when the fall term starts. Parking is also not great here. It’s almost always full in the lot.
Jeremy W — Google review
Beautiful ambience and delicious coffee. Plenty of spaces (inside and outside) spread across two floors for enjoying coffee while working, chatting or just admiring the architecture if building or glaring the streets/trees outside. Definitely one of the best coffeee places around.
Jay N — Google review
I ordered a small iced Cuban, which was $4.84 and didn’t fill the cup. It also had no sugar whatsoever (which I thought it would, as most Cuban coffees have sweet condensed milk in them) and thus tasted extremely bitter. Not a Cuban coffee to me, definitely a rip off. The place was crowded and hectic. It took 8 minutes for anyone to get my order because all the employees were making drinks. I also had nowhere to sit after ordering because every seat was filled (at 10 AM). The aesthetics of the place are nice and the baristas seem friendly but overall, I would not come here again. It doesn’t look like a good place to study and you probably have to come as soon as it opens to get a chair, which is ridiculous in my opinion.
Hannah — Google review
I liked the coffee but the pastry is not high quality. I would consider other places for pastry. If you like a dynamic and energetic place to work and focus, it’s a nice place for you. You can always get your food from another place and come here and enjoy coffee and ambiance.

This is a really cute place to study and they have so much more seating when compared to other places. They have two stories, both with indoor and outdoor seating. During weekdays, they can get pretty busy. I also really liked their coffee, I got the iced coffee with cream and sugar. I didn’t try their pastries but they look really good, but they sometimes run out of them later in the day.

Beautiful space, however the matcha was grainy and coffee flavors very limited. Pastry’s are from upper crust (great local bakery) but seem to be at least a day old and rather stale. Could just go to upper crust and save some money and get better quality.

It is a beautiful place. Coffee is excellent, pastry is not that great, too greasy soaked in butter but customer service is A+. We had the good fortune to get our wedding cake from Dream Day Cakes and have been loyal customers ever since. Our cake was incredible, and Fred and Yeni are the best. We order all of our special occasion treats from Dream Day, including our daughter’s first birthday cake, and everything is always perfect. Love it!

From our first visit with Fred at Dream Day Cakes, we knew that they would create the perfect wedding cake experience. They were able to more than accommodate the bride’s gluten allergy and still deliver a delicious showstopper of cake. The guests completely enjoyed the orange and blue cupcakes at our tailgate reception and they looked beautiful on the display they created. Additionally, they helped the bride surprise the groom with another culinary wonder—an exact replica of a Millennium Falcon. Yeni is truly an artist. We would recommend Dream Day Cakes for any event that requires a cake or cupcakes.

This is the best cake I have ever had the pleasure of devouring, hands down. Besides the fact that the design was the exact replica of my Gretsch drum set, with a mini marshmallow as the kick pedal (how freaking brilliant), the combination of strawberry and tres leches flavor was divine! The cake was so fresh and moist. Generally, I am not a big fan of buttercream but that was the first buttercream I've tried that didn't make me feel like I needed a shot of insulin after. I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

We LOVED Yeni and the products we received from Dream Day Cakes! We hired them to make our wedding cake, cupcakes, and keylime tarlets for our wedding. Not only were they absolutely gorgeous and exactly as I had pictured in my mind, but they were truly delicious. Her and her husband were kind and worked with us. You could really tell that this business was their pride and joy and enjoyed making us happy. I would recommend them to anyone. I've had cakes where the cake was too rich and the icing was so sweet you can barely take two bites. This was absolutely NOT the case with their food. It had subtle flavors while still being distinct and delicious. The cake was moist and the keylime tartlets were perfection.

After this deal, I decided to purchase all the seasonings on special, thinking that's what was offered. Knowing the importance of documentation, I took a picture as proof. At self-checkout, I scanned the seasonings, but they showed the regular price of $6.92 each. I waited for a self-checkout employee to verify the false advertising sign. Shirley eventually confirmed the error, stating she needed to retrieve the correct numbers from the back. I felt her tone was unnecessarily rude and exemplified poor customer service. Ultimately, I left without purchasing any seasonings. Looked them up online and still advertised wrong price this is ridiculous

I'm not sure why the entrance way is rarely unlocked. I was there this morning and saw employees watch people walk by the exit (the only unlocked door) to get to the entrance, then watch them realized it is locked, wonder why, then walk to the exit doors to enter the store. This happened 10 times in 5 minutes. Not sure if they do it for a show but they obviously are aware of it and find it humorous from the looks on their faces

I called it Weed Dixie, you'll get it when you walk thru the store. Someone is clearly smoking in the coolers depending on the time of day. Beyond that, their deli is mehhh, the meat department is also mehh, good luck finding a ribeye after 12pm, and anything marked down is gone. Usually they have the same bogos as Publix. 2.3/5... Nothing outstanding
William — Google review
Please don't visit. Prices are nearly as high as publix. Produce is nasty and expensive. Just go the extra mile and make your way to publix. Prices also were not the same as advertised.
Jaival N — Google review
Their $1.25 aisle is handy and useful (cookies, cleaning products, and toilet paper and paper towels) . Their BOGO's are good too (their own soda brand is cheaper than anyone else with the BOGO, which is most weeks). Their veggies are too high most weeks. Very clean store. Recommend.

We have had a couple exceptional visits to this Winn Dixie. We stopped in over the weekend to get barbecue wings at the hot foods section. They were out of them and a miss Lisa offered to make them special for us. She made them. She is very nice. Lisa treats us old people with much respect and as valued customers. Today we returned and a gentleman working in the Deli made fresh wings for us. I don't know his name but he was very pleasant. When we got to the checkout a very nice lady, (Darlene) at the customer service desk called us over and checked us out so we didn't need to wait in line. It is a pleasure shopping here. By the way, the store is spotless. Prices are very fair as well. Thank you for reading review.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Gainesville, Crumbl is a delightful destination for cookie enthusiasts and dessert lovers alike. This modern bakery specializes in oversized cookies that are baked fresh every day, offering a rotating selection of flavors each week. While some visitors have experienced inconsistencies with freshness, many rave about the friendly staff and quick service even during busy times. The cookies strike a perfect balance between indulgence and sweetness, making them an ideal treat for any occasion.
The variety of cookies never disappoints! The customer service is always top tier! The location is perfect! My nieces and I absolutely love this place!

It was very busy but everyone was super friendly and the cookies were amazing! It was my first time ordering and it was quick and easy! The cookies are big and what I love the most is they aren’t too sweet. Same for the frosting. So good!! A very nice employee complimented me on my earrings as well! Great staff and great treats! If you’ve never had them before go now to treat yourself!

They are absolutely great. We got our cookies quickly even though there was a long line. They are pricey but their cookies are huge and they have different flavors every week. My favorite is the basic chocolate chip, but I really enjoyed the caramel one and it had Twix on it. Some of their o cookies are chilled which is nice. Their cookies are super soft
Britney M — Google review
I’ve been to other Crumbl locations in Florida and never had an issue. I ordered two cookies last week. One cookie was for a child. When we got about halfway home (we don’t live in Gainesville), the cookie for the child was just a plain cookie and was missing all the icing that the child was looking forward to. My cookie was runny. Yes, I understand their cookies are soft in the middle. This was not “soft”. This was a cookie not done baking. I have emailed this location and left messages for management to call back and have received no responses. I do not recommend this location in the slightest.

Nestled in the heart of Gainesville, the Publix Super Market At University Village Market is a beloved grocery destination that embodies the spirit of Florida's supermarket culture. Known for its extensive selection of groceries, this store features delightful deli and bakery departments that keep locals coming back for more. From their famous pub subs to enticing $5 sushi Wednesdays, there's always something delicious to discover.
Compact with all the essentials. Attached coffee shop with warm ambience. Shockingly attentive staff. Once, when I was looking for my favorite yogurt, I saw the manager talking to an employee and gesture to me. He walked over and explained unprompted that the yogurt I always get was discontinued, and recommended an alternative. And when the yogurt was available again months later, they made sure to inform me when they saw me. This is a level of customer service that verges on absurd for a grocery store.

BUSY!! Probably busier than usual for the morning as today is the UF vs. UM game. Though having visited here in the past, parking is usually Always tricky, as there is Not much parking available, side street parking is also usable too though. Went in today to pick something up quick, management was in our aisle and was welcoming and pleasant and there was Plenty of cashiers and self checkout is also available which kept our checkout time ⏲️ to around Only 2 min. wait. This Publix is the closest to UF campus so expect students and some crowds. OH, and if you're looking to drink coffee ☕️ or such, there is a Starbucks adjacent to this Publix connected. You can have a "Cup of Joe" and grocery shop too, so ENJOY!
Axel F — Google review
A great location for students due to its proximity, but this Publix tends to be very busy. Parking can be difficult to find during peak times. If you're a car owner, be prepared for a challenge; walking or scootering is preferable.
Edris C — Google review
DO NOT place a mobile order for a sub at this location! I have tried multiple times and it is consistently 20+ minutes past the scheduled time. I have watched the entire line of walk ups get their subs made after already telling the workers that I was waiting on a past due mobile order. I never have problems like this at other Publix locations.
Isaac C — Google review
It’s a grocery store and for some reason, it’s a pleasure to be there. Everyone that works ask you how you’re doing, so if you’re kind of lonely, not a bad place to go. During Covid, I realized that if Publix closed,, society would’ve dissolved so next time you go thank them for keeping the apocalypse at bay

I had a great experience at Publix today while waiting for a Pub Sub. I had arrived earlier than my scheduled time, but the store manager, Alex, came out and kindly helped move my order up so I could get it right away. He was very kind, professional, and helpful—great customer service that really made my day!
Myles B — Google review
I was picking up an order, and the employees in the hot food area couldn't get people served because they were busy siang around and talking. When one girl finally started assisting, she was moving slow as molasses. Then when I finally got helped after 20 min of standing, the lady came back and said she couldn't find the ticket and it had to be remade. Another 10 goes by and she finally tells me, it should be on the other side. Def makes me wanna stay away from anything around UF campus.

ALDI is a popular retail chain known for offering a variety of grocery items, including meat and dairy products. Customers often praise the store for its affordable prices and excellent brands. The fresh fruits, vegetables, and eggs are particularly highlighted for their quality and reasonable costs. While the store may not have an extensive selection, customers appreciate the superior quality of the items available compared to other grocery stores.
Great place to shop for groceries at lower cost. But you should not forget to have quarter to get your own cart. You can most of your daily need items much easier by searching. You can self checkout as well after shopping!
Dipesh D — Google review
Bring your quarter for the shopping cart, there's plenty of free parking, but you cannot come in to the parking lot if you're heading west on the north side of the road, even if your GPS tells you so! I am a little disappointed that this Aldi does not sell quiche, like some others do. They don't always have gatorade. They used to sell smoked salmon, also known as lox.But they haven't had that in a while, either. However, they do have pretty decent already cooked foods that just need to be heated up. Their fresh fruits and vegetables are usually spot on. Their bakery section always has something tasty, and the everything sourdough bread is the best i've ever tasted. This shopping trip I got the last Gatorade. On the shelf, two different kinds of meatloaf, and some other meats, which will get me through the week for dinner. They almost always have cream cheese much cheaper than publix. And you can pretty much count on them to always have milk and eggs as well. If you haven't been here yet, definitely check it out.

I picked up the $64.99 fathers day steak deal. Morton's of Omaha. They only had 2 left so I only got one. I hope they get more next week. They didn't have lasagna noodles or Adventure Blend coffee but this Aldi's is very busy and I understand when I can't get every single thing I want. Just super happy about that steak deal! Lol
Patrick S — Google review
I am sorry I absolutely hate this Aldi's first off everyone is pretty rude u can't get help finding anything if needed seems like employees are hiding out somewhere. Stuff is normally a mess. And I was not gonna leave a review but this is the second time I tried this place and both time a horrible experience but yesterday was the worst experience by far because of a cashier I understand that they scan everything and have to put it in a basket and I understand that they are very busy and have to be quick but my cashier yesterday her name was Mia hope I spelled that right was just downright rude The customer before me she was rude to barely said two words gave nothing but dirty looks then I came up to check out I said good evening she didn't say nothing gave me a rude look started scanning my groceries and basically just tossing them into the basket tossing heavy things onto my vegetables and bread also one of my vegetables fell on the floor and broke and she said oh well you can just go get another one when in fact she can stop and go grab me another one because it was due to her tossing the groceries so hard and so fast into the basket that it broke in the first place I do not have a very good customer experience in this place but yesterday was just the icing on the cake for my visit there I will definitely not be going back. The fact that she showed me that she does not care about my groceries nor does she care to get up off her seat to go replace something that she broke and the fact that she does not care about not one customer that comes through her line obviously because of her lack of communication and the attitude she carries. So I just want to take the time out to thank her for me definitely not ever going back there again. I wouldn't even do a one star if I could

ALDI offers quality groceries at affordable prices. This location is my go-to ALDI. They don't have a large variety of options for the products they carry. But, everything that they carry, is better than the name brands carried at other grocery stores. I get 95% of my grocery shopping done at this ALDI.
Jen W — Google review
The store was rearranged so that all the alcohol is now front and center in the first isle walking in the door. As a recovering alcoholic, why would I want to put myself through that just to get a cheaper loaf of bread? Shame on you, Aldi's.

Nestled in the historic Gulf Oil Building on NW 2nd Street, Civilization is a delightful worker-owned co-op that serves up an eclectic menu featuring locally sourced ingredients and plenty of vegetarian options. This cozy spot is renowned for its stunning breakfast offerings, making it one of Gainesville's must-visit brunch destinations. When you step into Civilization, prepare to be wowed by their signature dishes like the delectable avocado spread paired with toasted whole wheat bread—perfectly Instagrammable!
Civilization is a great place to get brunch in Gainesville. They have a wide variety of brunch options all very unique. Pictured is the black beans and rice breakfast. In addition to the black beans and rice it includes two poached eggs, avocado, cheese and fried tortillas. The other item pictured is the frittata that included red and green peppers, manchego cheese and green olives. Finally if you have a sweet tooth check out the Lemon Ricotta beignets with a rasberry dipping sauce. The service is fast here and they do a good job making sure your drinks are full and bringing anything you need quickly.

Nice place, chill vibe.. Waiting time was at least 15 min to sit, 10 min for drinks, and 30 min for food. Great menu and options, fresh & local food (drink pretty small) The service was fine, serving without too much effort. Overall seems like designed to sell food, good food, but less of a restaurant experience.
Eliran N — Google review
Food was outstanding, however the service was awful. We had 4 waters brought out for 5 people. We didn't get a waiter/waitress for 40 minutes, finally the hostess was nice enough to help us, she was great. We ordered coffees that they forgot to bring us. I can understand being busy, but this was bad. That being said the food was so good you almost forget the service. Easily 5 stars if we had a waiter/waitress.
Christian S — Google review
Get there early for brunch so you can get a table! We arrived a few minutes before open and got the second to last table. The food was delicious, the service was okay. Was not offered coffee refills and servers not very friendly, but they were also very busy! Picture shows avocado toast with poached eggs and grits. So good! Beignets and the croissant sandwich in the background.
Julia B — Google review
When we visit Gainesville two or three times a year we make a point of having a meal at Civilization. It has become one of our favorites! The ingredients are fresh and the recipes are innovative such that these dishes are not offered in our area, for sure! We began with an order of Lemon Ricotta Bengiets - which I highly recommend. Someone at the table will always have Swamp Eggs; we feel it's the best thing on the menu! Whoever came up with the idea of collard greens, potatoes and eggs is a genius. This time we added grits Florentine and the Challah French Toast. There were multiple orders of Applewood bacon on the table- all expertly prepared. The service is attentive without hovering and the atmosphere is delightful. Everyone is relaxed and enjoying themselves!
Tracie C — Google review
The food is really good, and there are 2 or 3 vegan options just so you know. It is a co-op so everyone who works there has a vested interest in your dining experience. Once in a while there was a weirdo working there, but overall, they provide excellent service from start to finish, even though there's often a wait. I enjoy the Pakora Pancakes which are made from chickpea flour and come with a cilantro mint Ginger chutney, and the avocado & sweet potato burrito was divine with their home-made hot sauces. Wow!
Evan D — Google review
Kind, informative service with delicious and unique dishes. Happy to answer all my questions as a first time visitor. I didn't have any of the issues listed on other reviews. I spent 45 minutes total here from when I entered the cozy establishment until I left with a satisfied belly. I had a lot of questions but my server was patient and gave me his favorite recommendations. I had the curry chicken pita with fries and an espresso brownie. Omg it was great! The chicken had a unique flavor. It was similar to pulled chicken BBQ only with curry and house made pickles ( don't skip them! It was my favorite part ). Highly recommend coming here. It is cash only so please don't complain about that. This place needs better reviews not based on the mistakes of others.

Because i had a burg on my mind, i headed over to Civilizations & ordered their Hemingway burger. A little greasy (i assume 80/20 ground beef), but delightfully seasoned, fresh toppers, good bun, and the best fries in this town. Thats right, best fries in Gainesville, hands down. Sometimes the service can be slow, but always worth the wait

The spot stands out with its extensive food menu, making it a great place to grab a snack alongside your drink. Tea Bestea & Loop Cake is an absolute gem. Their Asian pastries are pure perfection—fresh, delicate, and packed with flavor. The cakes and cream puffs are light yet indulgent. If you’re craving something savory, their poke and ramen is comfort in a bowl. I've never had anything quite like their spicy salmon poke. I can't recommend this place enough!

Chill clean place to grab tea and a snack. Went here for the first time on a busy Sunday afternoon. I ordered brown sugar black bubble tea. My husband ordered rose milk tea and popcorn chicken. Teas were great 👍. Popcorn chicken was OK. Would definitely come back for the tea 🌞

My friends and I stopped by late Saturday morning and enjoyed cool drinks. I personally had the watermelon yogurt drink which was very good. There was a bit of a line but it went by pretty quick. The store looks clean and I would definitely go there again.
Chris L — Google review
The interior and aesthetics of the restaurant is nice. Very clean and trendy. The semi-open kitchen atmosphere is nice. Unfortunately, the food could be better. I could hear the microwave going off twice in the background and two plates of food came out shortly after. I ordered the build your own poke bowl with salmon and white rice and the white tip oolong with Crystal bubbles. I did not ask for lettuce, but there was lettuce in my poke bowl. Half the bowl was lettuce underneath the toppings. I asked for the tea to be half sweet, but it was still overpoweringly sweet. The taste of the tea is completely obscured by the sweetness. The bubbles did provide an interesting texture, it had a slightly springy chew to it.
Carrie S — Google review
Very good boba found here! I really like their tea options and multiple boba flavors. The boba are cooked to the perfect balance of soft and chewiness. They also have a decent bowl of ramen. I'll come back for the osmanthus oolong boba with cheese foam any time! Edit: Had to take away a star because they no longer have osmanthus oolong and their cheese foam has been way too salty the last several times I ordered.

Recently was at UF Innovation for my wife's medical procedure and stopped in for a coffee afterwards... the best coffee I have had in years! Cafe latte was so smooth that you don't even need sugar...for us, that says something about the taste and quality of the coffee!

Nice place, nice vibe, nice staff. Cons: the coffee. Everything is served at the point of boiling which completely burns the beans beyond repair. Even a single shot Cortado (unusual in specialty places but still) is burned beyond repair, the top layer of frothed milk is just bitter foam. The batch (filter coffee) is beyond repair, no notes and even if we were to consider it an American staple, at this price point I was truly hoping in an improvement and not to burn both my hand and my tongue. Pity, the space is nice and the city needs good coffee but this ain’t it.

Great little coffee shop! Loving the vibes inside and the staff was friendly and got the orders out fast. Not crowded at all even at 10am on a weekend. Delicious specialty and classic coffees. A small selection of fresh pastries as well! I got the Dragon Slayer specialty and it was a great little morning treat! Highly recommend it, as it wasn't expensive at.

Opus Coffee at the Innovation District offers many unique espresso beverages made with their Slayer machine, a very high end espresso machine that produces a high quality product you'll be hard pressed to find elsewhere. They also have drip coffee, nitro cold brew, iced coffee and classic coffee drinks as well as tea ( and not cheap store bagged tea either! It's imported from Austria!) This location offers ample, comfortable seating and plenty of space to work in. Today I sampled three drinks: the Slay Queen, the A.C Slayter, and the Christian Slayter. Each drink was uniquely tasty. The A.C Slayter was a cool, refreshing iced cinnamon drink with triple espresso, rice milk horchata, and coconut cream. I enjoyed the warmth of the Christian Slayter which came in a big, cute cup with espresso, oat milk, organic vanilla syrup, Vermont dark and Amber syrup. I recommend you come and stay here a while. The baristas and very kind, patient and helpful. Refreshing change from some other locations here in town with rude, stuck up baristas. Don't forget to try some of their hot sandwiches, fresh salads or tasty snacks!

I made an unexpected trip to Gainesville after finding out my aunt was in a bad car accident and stopped by this place for coffee support. My family raves about their croissants, but they were out and I was a bit bummed. They gave me their macaroons instead and sent me home with a ton of goodies after finding out I drove all the way from Tallahassee. It was a tough day, but their kindness made it better. I will be stopping by on most, if not all of my visits to Gainesville from now on and I’ve already recommended them to a bunch of friends in the area. The food, coffee and service are superb.

Absolute Gem!! Was in town for the weekend and saw this bakery nearby. The Croissants were nothing short of perfection. Fresh, slight crisp on exterior, and soft on inside. Multiple flavors to choose from. The Spinach & Feta Rose is delicious! I am taking goodies back home for family and friends. It was worth it!

Delicious pastries, nice staff, great coffee, what's not to love? This little cafe is the cutest place, love the decor. The dishes are all mismatched and adorable. This place is dangerously close to my house! The spicy latte was soooooo good. It had the perfect touch of cayenne. The chocolate croissant had a nice crunch and it tastes like they put a touch of cinnamon in it, which is absolutely lovely! The quiche was buttery, delicate and delicious. I will be back!!!
Korrie S — Google review
While this is technically a smaller version of Uppercrust Bakery this by far is a much more inviting environment to meet up with a friend. They offer carefully crafted coffee drinks and amazing baked goods for you to choose from. The quiche is a regular's favorite no matter what flavor they are offering. If going for coffee go for the cappuccino so that you can enjoy the quality of the coffee without diluting it down with extras. Service is fast and friendly. They have both indoor and outdoor covered seating. They often sell out early so if you are planning on a late trip you might want to call in advance after 3pm.

Good food and coffee ! The staff could use some customer service training . Portion sizes are small for the costs . 12 oz coffee is the largest , adding a flavor and plant based milk for $1 each makes it likely the most expensive coffee in the county at $6.95

Looking for a cozy spot with delicious bakery pastries and drinks? Check out Petite Uppercrust in Hail Plantation. Though parking is limited, there are a few designated spots behind the cafe. Super cute cake place. I’m imagining that it looks like just about every other nothing Bundt cake location. I do love the cakes though. They never have silverware which is annoying because how am I supposed to scarf down my cake in my car?? Banana pudding is the best flavor they’ve done.

Very dissatisfied with this store. Went in to pickup a birthday cake for my wife with the coupon that was sent to her. I was told due to policy I needed her ID for proof. No where on there website or the coupon that was sent does it say that. All it says is phone number and email needed for pick up. I've never had this issue on previous birthdays when my son picked up cake for her. Maybe my skin wasn't light enough or my hair wasn't straight enough..

Ordered again for my Grandma’s birthday and i let them decorate it. The cake came out so cute. Ordered it again on the same day and the cake was ready and decorated in like 10-15 mins! LOVE THAT WE HAVE NOTHING BUNDT CAKES in Gainesville!!!!

A wonderful new addition to the Gainesville bakery scene! The cakes here are amazing and come in so many flavors. I absolutely adoring the Snickerdoodle and red velvet bundlets. Everything i tried has been perfect and their frosting just melts in your mouth. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their product. Not too mention all the decor/retail is adorable! If you need a cake decorated they can do that too! They have so many options for customizable cake decor and get it done for you even if it's short notice. Whether its for a treat or party this new bakery does it all!

Krispy Kreme is a well-established chain known for its wide range of donut flavors and shapes, along with offerings like coffee and frozen drinks. The Krispy Kreme location on Thirteenth Street in Gainesville holds a special place for many visitors. Some stop by after particularly tough days or late-night study sessions, while others make it a point to visit when the "hot" sign is lit, signaling fresh donuts.
Nice little donut shop, very good donuts and staff was fun with all the Harry Potter stuff!
Jennifer K — Google review
There is still no drive thru at the Gainesville Krispy Kreme location, so you have to go in. Not even curbside pickup which would make things so much nicer than standing around like an idiot before you are waited on and yelled at. I try to be a nice, easygoing person, but if someone working the counter starts glaring at me and snapping at me as soon as I come in because they don't like my looks or Southern accent or whatever, I start to tense up. This is the only location for hours and hours if you are coming in from the Nature Coast. It's a long 2 hour round trip drive for me, and when I last went over 2 years ago, I was met with a horrible attitude and the woman yelled at me for not being able to pick up the phone while you're driving there in the dark (I'm not going to go in there after 7-8 am). Apparently they were out of, um, glazed donuts. Yeah. They are always out of something. Last year, when I thought about evacuating during Hurricane Milton, the deciding factor was I could go through the Tallahassee Krispy Kreme drive thru on my way back home, so I got my Halloween donuts (very nice folks at the Tallahassee Krispy Kreme from my experience). I was considering working up the courage to return to the Gainesville location this week and get some Halloween donuts. But on October 28 they are sold out of all of the Halloween donuts. I can see things haven't changed. The people here have no competition when Tallahassee and Tampa are the closest locations, so they can act any ole way they want to, and if they want to treat you like dirt, they will treat you like dirt and not even bother to have Halloween donuts on Halloween.

Victoria filled custom donuts for me that were the absolute best I've ever had anywhere!!!! She and Genesis are such wonderful ladies they make us feel like family every time we visit! Superb customer service sweet sweet ladies to welcome anyone to your store!!!! And donuts are beyond scrumptious!!!!!!

I politely asked if the donuts in the front case were the only ones available at the moment. The girl laughs and says “yeah pretty much”. So starting off great. I tell her I want a dozen assorted. She walks to the back (presumably to use donuts in the back instead of the ones in the case, which is fine). But there was no way for me to know that. A few minutes later a different girl asks, “what was it that you wanted?” I tell her. The two girls then get into an exchange about her already have made my dozen, loudly saying “I don’t know why he told you to do that”. I then pay and the girl at the register says have a good day. I was already aggravated, so I grab my box, keep my mouth shut, and head towards the door. The girl then says “or not!” As I’m walking out. Real pride and joy people you have working here. Absolutely awful customer service to someone who said nothing rude, did nothing wrong, and was polite the whole time. One of very few reviews I have written in my entire life. That should say a lot.
Colby W — Google review
In the last 6 months my husband and I have been incredibly disappointed with the overall service at this location. Terrible customer service and the location constantly running out of donuts and only having like 1-2 flavors of donuts to offer consistently. We literally dubbed trying to go by Krispy Kreme a “dose of disappointment,” it has been that bad. UNTIL TONIGHT. The employee, Justin working tonight was so incredibly pleasant and he greeted people as soon as they walked in even when he was helping others. He was the picture of perfect customer service and even while sitting outside eating our donuts, I saw him cleaning while he didn’t have customers. I asked for his name because he deserves to be recognized. Keep this man around!! No disappointment tonight.

Bageland is a long-standing bakery in Gainesville, FL that has been serving fresh and delicious bagels for 48 years. The pumpernickel bagels are particularly popular, with customers sometimes mistaking them for chocolates. The bagels are described as being perfectly crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. Customers appreciate the generous portions and reasonable prices, as well as the friendly staff and quaint interior.
WOW! I stumbled upon Bageland, this afternoon and I couldn’t be more pleased. They have several varieties of huge, handmade Bagels and “Toppers”. I tried the tomato Basil pizza bagel and a plain bagel with garlic butter spread, both were delightful! It has a quiet and calm ambience for studying, and they have free wifi available. If you are looking for bagels in Gainesville, skip the 7AM line at Lukes and give this place a try :)
Esha C — Google review
I’ve been visiting Bageland for about 18 years since my family and I moved to Gainesville, and it never disappoints! The new owners are incredibly kind and welcoming — they make everyone feel at home. Their bagels, muffins, and croissants are always delicious. My go-to is the smoked salmon breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and I always grab a few muffins and croissants to take home. Amazing prices and consistently great service. I’ll keep coming back! 😊
Rosa H — Google review
This is my second time dining here and it was once again a great experience! - The quantity of food for the price is unmatched. - The quality of the food is good. it's not the greatest I've ever eaten, but it's lovely in its simplicity. - The interior is cute in a quaint way. it feels very much like a hometown favorite. - The staff is very friendly. I won't beat around the bush: Bageland blows Luke's out of the water. Personally, I prefer these bagels to Luke's. I know that's subjective. But objectively, Bageland is better because it has an indoor dining space, is way cheaper for more food, and doesn't get insanely slammed all the time. You're not baking in the sun for 30 minutes to enjoy a bagel. This is now my favorite breakfast place in Gainesville. It's not fancy, it's not innovative, it's not trendy. It's just plain good food served at great prices by friendly people who've been working here for a long time. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some delicious carbs.

I’ve been here before and the bagel was solid and they also had good fresh orange juice. However, I went there this past weekend at around 1:30 (fairly close to closing time I admit so I do apologize), but I ordered an onion bagel and sat down. A woman then comes out and tells me they are all out of bagels except one weirdly shaped whole wheat bagel. I was open-minded, since it seemed like there wasn’t any other option and I’m not super picky about bagels flavors. It was the worst bagel I have ever had. I’m not kidding. It was weirdly dry and also tasted like sawdust. I’m just disappointed she didn’t offer me a refund and instead gave me this deformed, broken whole wheat bagel. Also, I got a combo thinking the orange juice would be fresh, but it was just in a tropicana bottle out of a cooler in the front. The coffee tasted like water. I’m just sad. I liked this place. I can’t believe I spent $8 on a bagel I didn’t want and bad drinks. Time to find a new bagel place :/ EDIT: The bagel was still bad, but I think the owner's responses to people's bad reviews are funny. I remember how kind the last owners were LOL. The staff here is very kind, I admit and I will try the restaurant again and post if the other bagels are better. Keep ya posted.
Leah D — Google review
I have been going to Bageland since they first opened up across from UofF! After my sandwich served today I will not return. The service was slow. A group of 6 came in after I had ordered my sandwich. My wife received her order in a timely fashion while I waited 20 minutes (after the group of 6 and others were served!) I had to ask about my sandwich twice! Once finally served I was given a roast beef on and everything bagel ($11.50) that had maybe 1 oz of roast beef on it. When I asked the server about this he explained that I was given all of the roast beef available! No prior comment regarding an alternative at all! The lady up front when I complained stated "Do you know how much roast beef cost?" The bagel was doughy and barely toasted! My wife's bagel was the same. THIS PLACE HAS GONE DOWN HILL TREMENDOUSLY SINCE THE NEW OWNERS TOOK OVER!!! We have waited long enough for the owners to get it together. We will not be back to put up with poor service, paper thin meat and asinine excuses.
Stephen C — Google review
Waited 30 minutes for a bagel that has a singular slice of ham on it. For $11. Nothing to write home about.

Dunkin' is a well-established chain known for its iconic breakfast offerings and an array of coffee selections. Visitors Kevin and Amber had a seamless and enjoyable experience, with their perfectly prepared drinks leaving them impressed by the exceptional service. Despite encountering some dry chocolate donuts, they acknowledged that the store's overall performance was commendable, especially considering its bustling atmosphere.
Small establishment, but we went inside and ordered and received our drinks and food in less than 5min. There was a long line in the drive through so I was very impressed with the speed and quality as well as the friendly staff! Efficient and friendly 10/10

I stopped at this Dunkin’ today and ordered a breakfast sandwich to go. When I opened the bag a few minutes later, I found a clear bite taken out of the sandwich. I was shocked and disgusted — that’s not just bad service, that’s a serious health and safety violation. I didn’t have time to turn around and go back, but this experience has completely destroyed my confidence in this brands hygiene standards. Food should never leave a restaurant in that condition. I hope Dunkin’ corporate looks into this store’s food handling practices immediately and retrains the staff. Until then, I’ll be avoiding this location and warning others to check their orders carefully.
Nikki R — Google review
This Dunkin is a drive thru. But, there were several people walking in and out as well as myself. The little lobby is very small and cramped. Not a big choice of donuts from what I could see and when I asked about an apple filled donut they first said yes and then come back and said no and then when I asked about blueberry filled I was told all they had was raspberry. Why not tell me right out the gate that’s all you have. The donuts we got were good and service was ok. There were 2 tables outside to sit at. One was clean and one was not and that one was just a couple feet from the trash can. I’m sure the employees expected the customers to place there trash in the proper place but, you know how some people are.
Harmon C — Google review
I wish this place was better at serving due to their odd location. If they took more than one order at a time I think it would move a little faster. In the drive-thru you can tell that they complete 1 order and then help the person at the speaker. Drive-thru lines form from 3 sides which make it confusing.
Fernando R — Google review
Went for a pumpkin spice donut, but unfortunately they were out. However, I did choose some other good choices and they tasted great. I didn't get name tags butt there was a manager working that was extremely helpful. This helped make up for a poor interaction with a separate employee. I didn't read her name tag but she had blue hair. She was another level of rude. I simply wanted to double check that the coffee I got was decaf. I specifically asked because the last time I went to Dunkin they accidentally made it caffeinated. The blue-haired individual gave a snappy "It says it on the sticker." No... No there's no sticker on it... She huffed and went to ask. That's when the pleasant manager helped again and was quite apologetic in tone. I mean this person huffed. Who huffs? Especially working at a donut place. If this is the way they want to keep acting I hope they don't work in food service much longer. People don't deserve to have their moods brought down by an unhappy person, especially when that person is the one getting paid and the consumer is the one giving money. Plus the drink was for a pregnant woman so consuming caffeine would have been very bad. I guess next time I won't ask huh? Just let my wife and unborn child have caffeine because this individual may huff again... Or they can go work for Huff Post.
Summer A — Google review
Love Dunkin since I grew up with it in New York, but turnpike rest stops is not the place. Automated menu with have the options missing. No one person serving did not speak English and couldn't communicate. Latte was cold. Service slow and kept going back & forth in between orders. And lastly not very sanitary. Never again.
Yuley G — Google review
The design of the drive through is in a terrible place. It usually wraps around the building, onto the main road. The workers are working as hard as they can and are probably understaffed or have a high turn-around rate because sometimes you'll be waiting 15-20 mins for simple orders inside. Drive through is similar story. Recently I tried the drive through and no one was taking orders. Everyone in the car would pull up to order, wait 5 mins, and since no one came to take orders they would leave. This repeated till I got up there and no one responded for 5 mins. I gave up coming to this Dunkin at all for this. I go to other stores now. Avoid this one. It sucks because the food and coffee are perfectly fine.

This morning on Veterans Day 11-11-2025 I asked for loaded hash with queso and it was served to me cold; the cheese was cold. I also ordered a medium chai with caramel drizzle inside the cup. Donut Connection is a popular breakfast spot known for its wide variety of donuts, coffee, bagels, and muffins. The establishment has recently come under new ownership and the changes have been well-received. The donuts are now larger, cake-like, and made without sugar, using honey instead. This unique approach results in delicious treats that reportedly do not cause glucose spikes in diabetics. Customers also praise the friendly service and reasonable prices at this mom-and-pop shop.
I went there about 30 minutes past their so-called closing times (mainly because the sign said they were open) and the woman working unlocked the door and let me in, so I bought (what I think was a cinnamon roll or twist?) It was $2.42 (tax included) and it was AMAZING! Some might think that $2.42 is a bit expensive, but they are most likely the same people that spend $3 on a tiny cake pop at Starbucks. Will come back again (hopefully being able to decide what to buy.)

The donuts were pretty good. A notch up from Dunkin Donut. I purchased 6. 2 Boston cream, 2 sour cream fried cakes, 1 Bavarian cream and 1 cinnamon swirl. The lady who waited on me was very nice and helpful. She knew her products. I was in and out quickly.

Hands down the best doughnuts in town! Doughnut Connection never disappoints — their doughnuts are always fresh, soft, and full of flavor. The blueberry and red velvet are my absolute favorites — perfectly sweet, moist, and melt-in-your-mouth good. You can really taste the difference compared to the big chains. The staff is friendly, the selection is awesome, and every visit feels like a treat. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out!

Small independent donut shop and the lady that helped me was very nice and upbeat. Unfortunately the apple fritter, aka "messy" as they call it, was so full of oil that my wife and I couldn't finish. The regular donut I got was decent tho. Won't be going back as an apple fritter is the only kind of donut we enjoy.

We were in the area and my husband wanted bagels on the go. Naturally, Dunkin' was nearby, so we stopped at their drive thru. He ordered 2 plain bagels with light butter. Total was about $7 (wow 🤔) price seemed to have gone up but the size and quality decreased. The bagels were entirely coated in melted butter instead of "light" as requested (See photo). The barcode scanner was also pointed out of the drive thru window so the laser is hitting either the driver or passenger of the customer's car. Didn't get a photo of that, too annoyed. We won't go back to this location. Thanks anyway. 🫡

The breakfast sandwiches and coffees arrived quickly and were fresh and delicious. Glad we stopped here; Emily and Team made our day! 😃🙏💗

They desperately need to hire more employees. There were only two staff members on duty, and there was a long line outside and inside. My drink was made incorrectly THREE times. They kept adding regular sugar instead of liquid cane and never mixed the syrup with the cream, resulting in a syrupy flavor at the bottom. The young lady who made it had an attitude about having to remake it, and I can’t blame her; they’re clearly overworked and underpaid. The saddest part is that I didn’t see any managers. This location used to be so great, but it’s been declining in quality recently. PLEASEEEEE don’t let Starbucks take over. 🙏🏾

Just visited at 8:30am on July 21st to pick up my morning coffee and the lady at the front was rude as can be since the minute I pulled in, I told her good morning! She looked at me with a nasty look . getting her to do her job was like pulling teeth. Gave me a chai latte instead of a regular latte and then was bothered that she had to fix it.i asked for light sugar and I think she put more then usual LOL. Then she told me the ovens weren’t working bc of the rain (I assume she just didn’t want to make anything else). After charging me $5.55 for a coffee she couldn’t make right, I asked her to add a donut since “the ovens were broken” and she proceeded to tell me I needed to make the line all over again to order something new. If you hate your job maybe find a new one but don’t take it out on your customers :) I definitely won’t be stopping by this location again, I wish I had gotten her name.

Personally this is a great location to be able to get yourself a nice cup of coffee and also take care of a lot of other things at the same time. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and very helpful. She made sure that my coffee was made within a reasonable time frame. And she actually had a couple funny jokes. I will definitely come back here when I'm on this side of town.

The crew is here amazing! They are extremely helpful even when they are really busy! Very personable! Even the manager works hard to help her customers!

Bakery
Cinnabon is a popular counter-serve chain that specializes in baking the world's greatest cinnamon rolls, along with a variety of other baked goods and specialty frozen beverages. The enticing aroma emanating from their small bakeries is enough to captivate anyone passing by. Although some may find the prices on the higher side, the allure of their freshly baked Cinnabons is hard to resist for many.
Great.😁 Thank goodness I only get to the Mall on those rare occasions of whatever, etc. Payless closing their stores. 😣😣 Cinnabon is absolutely the greatest but my goodness 4.99 for one cinnamon rolls, 😱😱 and extra icing is .73 cents more. What's up with that?🤔🤔
A. A — Google review
I will never go to another Cinnabon again. This place completely ruined my experience. My girlfriend and I went here to grab a quick snack while we were at the mall. First of all, the prices are out of the roof. I believe we paid $4 for a small cinnamon bun. The larger buns are about $1 more, but we didn't want that much sugar. Either way, we accepted the price because we were hungry. Nothing wrong with that from their part. However, the issues occurred after we ordered our cinnamon bun. We went back because we were naturally thirsty after eating a sugary cinnamon bun, so we asked them for a cup of water. The lady behind the counter blurted, "That's 75 cents, hun." We were just there. We just bought a cinnamon bun from them, and she wasn't going to give us a cup of water. We literally still had the bag in our hand. I don't know if this is policy, or if she just felt like charging us 75 cents, but it was completely ridiculous. More importantly, her attitude was uncalled for, and she wasn't giving us any explanation as to why we'd have to pay for a cup of water when we just bought a cinnamon bun ten minutes ago. We ended up just walking down to the food court and asking a random restaurant if they would give us a cup of water. No questions asked, they complied. Now, that's a place I will bring my business to in the future. Cinnabon is not. Do not go here. The prices are outlandish. The service is terrible, and the cinnamon bun wasn't even that good.
Daren M — Google review
Come On Now! Smelling the aroma coming out of their small bakery is enough to make a person stop in their tracks. I don't know of anyone who won't eat a fresh baked Cinnabon, I sure will.
Cheryl R — Google review
Overpriced, dry cinnamon bun, charged 73 cents for a cup of water. Not impressed. If the cinnamon bun hadn’t been dry, and the water free, would have given 4 stars (one off for the price)
Amanda L — Google review
I was there March 14, 2019 I would have loved a Cinnabon, however we weren't even acknowledged, there were 2 woman standing there talking to their friend. No I'll be with you shortly nothing. So I left!
Housejac88 C — Google review
The lady working blew her nose, with gloves on and she started touching the food without washing or changing gloves after blowing her nose. Very disgusting, y'all can make people sick by doing that, very unprofessional
Joe B — Google review
Smells great looks great hard as a rock that stuff has to be like two days old. I tried calling for like half an hour to just let them know they need to throw that stuff out and start over no answers or cares
Joshua H — Google review
I came from Ocala to get a fresh Cinnabon. I got here and the Cinnabon was doughy and undone. The employee then continued to argue with me saying the Cinnabon was completely done to Cinnabon’s standards.

Halo Potato - Main Street is a popular spot in downtown Gainesville known for its unique potato donuts made with locally sourced ingredients. The menu features a variety of flavors like lemon ginger and Florida buckeye, making it a must-try for donut enthusiasts. Originally starting as a food truck, the establishment has now become a staple on Main Street. Despite the sad news of its upcoming closure after six years, Halo Potato Donuts continues to attract visitors with their delicious offerings.
I wasn't sure what to think about when it comes to a potato donut until I tried it. I had two different ones one chocolate and one cinnamon flavoured one. Both were great. A must have for breakfast especially if you have a sweet tooth. A nice treat when you want a break from the regular breakfast / brunch options. I did not get to try all, so can't comment which one is my favourite but definitely recommended. Love from Berlin 🇩🇪 #DishtApproved
Disht A — Google review
Donuts here pretty good and it’s a different texture and taste, it was worth the experience, but not as much as the hype about them. The stores hours are very limited, long drive through line, and each donut costs around $2.5-3, which is a bit overpriced for it. Worth the try, but I wouldn’t go out of my way again to get them!
Damon G — Google review
Wow, when my son told me let’s go and get some potato donuts I was like yes! We had two options either get out of the car and buy our donuts as we eat there or stay in the car and do it like a drive-through and that’s the one that we did because of the weather. Since it was cold it was better to stay in the car as we drove around until we got to this young guy very nice and a attentive who took our order. We had three different donuts, the maple one, vanilla, and chocolate and peanut butter. My favorite was the maple one even though the other two were as delicious too. The taste of these donuts it’s a little bit different you can see how rich is because of the potatoes. I didn’t feel that they were heavy but they were so good! I like the fact that the prices were not extreme for me they were reasonable and the service overall here was outstanding!
Your W — Google review
These are some great donuts!! The dough is more dense than the typical donut (from the potatoes they use), but it's still fluffy! I'd love to see if they can make mochi donuts or incorporate ube? The flavors they have are fairly typical, but my favorites so far are the maple blueberry and maple bacon. Prices are fair and I'm really glad they have order online options. Would come again when I get another donut craving! Edit: Had to come back when they came up with their yeast potato donuts! Love that they are fluffier and their weekly special flavors are always so fun!
Nancy — Google review
We picked up 2 donuts on our way to the Hawthorne trail. The shop opens exactly at 7am in the morning and there are people waiting outside from 6 45am! We got lemon blueberry and cookies and cream donut. Its take-out so you can carry your donut. After cycling for 16miles we had our donuts at the end of the trail and it was huge, a bit crispy and fresh. It tasted so fresh and the sweetness was not over powering at all. Definitely worth the wait! There are 2 fancy table and bench outside where you can enjoy your coffee and donuts! 🍩
Shreeja S — Google review
The most friendly staff and the most amazing collection of donuts. Their coffee is out of this world! I cannot believe I have missed this Gainesville gem! A must to go place for Gainesville native or anyone passing by. Make sure to be there a little early than their closing times because they run out fast!
Shriyansh K — Google review
Over priced donuts. Really nothing special about them. The cinnamon roll one was alright, the cookie and cream was very dense and was so so. The triple berry (special of the week) was the "best" one they had but $17 for 5 donuts with nothing special about them. Waited in line for about 15 minutes and went by pretty quick. Walk up onlys.
Shayler L — Google review
The donuts here are good and the texture is interesting. I’ve never had potato donuts before and they are definitely a must try. So many flavors to chose from...My fav: cookies and creme. I waited about 20 minutes in line but it was worth the wait. Excellent customer service and very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable. I did not try their coffee but i heard it is just as good as their donuts. Will try it next time!

Pampy's Cuban Bakery is a delightful gem located in Gainesville, Florida, where the aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air. This charming spot not only specializes in mouthwatering Cuban sandwiches but also offers an array of pastries and coffee that are sure to please any palate. Visitors rave about the Pampy Sandwich, highlighting its generous portions of tender meat nestled between perfectly baked Cuban bread that tastes like it came straight from a loving home kitchen.
So I’ve been waiting to check this place out! Heard the food was really good and authentic! I ordered the Cuban two cannolis and two cokes! That Cuban was delicious and flavorful and that bread was warm and soft! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Those cannolis were also delicious! Definitely going to go and try other things on the menu and other bakery items. Check out my photos :-)
Angelo — Google review
I ordered the Pampy Sandwich and I was super pleased with the amount of meat. The Cuban bread was fresh and everything was delicious! This is a bakery which also serves sandwiches. I wish I could have tried the bakery items. However, I was here for the Cuban sandwich. The reason for only 4 stars is that there was nothing included with the sandwich and it could have been hotter. I would like to try their crepes for breakfast sometime and of course the coffee. I hope this place does well. Let's show our support for this family owned restaurant.
DeeDee S — Google review
This cozy local bakery is a gem! All the pastries are freshly baked in small batches each day by the owner herself, which really shows in the quality. We tried a variety—ham and cheese, ground beef, cheese, and guava with cheese—and every single one was delicious. The bread is buttery, flaky, and clearly made with care. You can taste the love in every bite. We also had the flan, and it was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just right. We bought a few initial pastries and ate them in the car and immediately went back for seconds. If you’re in the area, please stop by and support this small business. You won’t regret it!
Ira E — Google review
Cute place and the old lady cashier/barista was very sweet. But, the old lady making my sandwich was very rude. When I got my plate, took it to the table and sat down I noticed a hair on the sandwich. The lady who’d made the sandwich didn’t have any hat or hairnet at the time but put one on for the remake of the sandwich. While I waited the cashier gave me a pastry for the inconvenience which was very nice of her to do that. When the plate was put on the counter I asked for a bag or box so I could take it to go, I have no problem packing it myself, but the lady cook was angry and mean mugging me, looking directly at me while talking in Spanish and walked off. The cashier apologized again and put the sandwich in a bag. I try to never complain, I’ve worked food and customer service for many years, I know how stressful it can be and how rude customers can be, but the cook needs a reality check or to go home if it’s a bad day. Because of her attitude we will not be coming back. Editing below since the owner responded. I do not lie and find it shameful you accuse your customers of this. I held back in my review as a courtesy because the one employee was very kind. However, you microwaved your meat, and most of your desserts are store-bought from places like Sam's Club and repackaged (see photos attached and check Sam’s club to find the truth). Have the day you deserve and think whatever makes you happy.

Here’s a polished version of your review while keeping your voice and enthusiasm intact: ⸻ If I could give six stars, I would! We originally stopped by because the comic shop next door caught my son’s eye—but what a pleasant surprise this place turned out to be! It’s an absolutely charming little café that instantly won us over. My son got a cannoli, and I went for a pastry—both were incredible. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Coffee was delicious and the whole place has this cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay a while. If you’re looking to escape the cookie-cutter, corporate coffee chains and enjoy something authentic, this is your spot. Highly recommended!

Went to visit my mom in Gainesville, FL this weekend. We were out and about and when I drove past this place I made a U-turn just to check it out! Very clean place, perfect for a hang out spot for students, and amazing service! Disappointed that we stopped by so late and we didn’t have much to choose from! But the pastry were delicious and great prices. I will definitely visit again during lunch hours on my next weekend trip.

A Hidden Cuban Gem in Gainesville – Pampy’s Bakery Tucked away at 3601 Southwest 2nd Avenue STE A in Gainesville, Florida, Pampy’s Cuban Bakery is the kind of place you don’t just stumble upon; you discover it. And once you do, it feels like you’ve been welcomed into someone’s home from a simpler, sweeter time. Run by two Cuban sisters who make everything fresh daily, Pampy’s radiates warmth from the moment you walk through the door. One of the sisters greeted us with the kind of smile that instantly makes you feel like family. She spoke with the grace and detail of someone who truly loves what they do, sharing not only what they make, but how and why they make it. We indulged in pastelillos de guayaba; flaky, rich guava pastries that brought back memories of Sunday mornings at grandma’s. Their flan was thick, silky, and deeply satisfying. And finally, there was the tres leches con piña. That was the one that really won our hearts; soft, moist, and perfectly balanced with the brightness of pineapple. Every bite tasted like tradition, love, and patience. And don’t skip the coffee; from what she shared, it’s bold, aromatic, and just what you’d hope for from a place steeped in Cuban heritage. But beyond the incredible flavors, the true treasure of Pampy’s is the hospitality. In a time when good service can feel like an afterthought, these sisters make you feel seen, welcomed, and appreciated. It’s the kind of care and genuine kindness that’s hard to find these days. Here, it’s not just about food; it’s about family, culture, and heart. If you’re in the area, treat yourself. If you’re not, it’s worth the drive. Pampy’s isn’t just a bakery; it’s a warm embrace of Cuban soul in the middle of Gainesville. Much success to Pampy’s. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

Abe is incredibly gifted with his cookies. He made some cookies once for the coaches at GP and they were delicious! Little did I know they were gluten free, and I'm not a big fan of gluten free. For him to be able to maintain tastiness masking the gluten-free taste that I'm used to... just amazing.

El Cookie Rookie is a must for cookie-lovers! The owner pays attention to all of the details that go into making each cookie - from the ingredients to the packaging - and it makes a difference that you can taste. Very professional and an amazing story. Abe truly has perfected the art of baking cookies and at his prices it’s a no brainer. Definitely the best I’ve ever had. 10 out of 10 would recommend these cookies to everyone. The only place I’ll buy a cookie from now on.
