We started with an **assortment of appetizers**, which were mostly enjoyable. The **hummus** was smooth and well-seasoned, the **moutabbal** had a nice smoky depth, and the **fattoush** was fresh with a bright, tangy dressing. However, the **makanek (Lebanese sausages)** were disappointingly dry and lacked the usual burst of spiced flavor, while the **calamari** was overcooked, leaving it rubbery rather than tender-crisp. Service began attentively, with our waiter offering recommendations and promptly bringing drinks. But as the restaurant filled up, attention waned—dishes arrived at inconsistent intervals, and we had to flag down staff for refills. Things improved noticeably once the owner (or manager) stepped in, gently directing the team, which helped smooth out the experience. Given its location in a tourist hotspot, **Feniqia’s prices are on the higher side**, even for Lebanon’s dining scene. While the quality of some dishes justified the cost, others fell short of expectations for the price point. **The Verdict:** Feniqia has a beautiful setting and some standout dishes, but inconsistencies in food and service keep it from being a must-return spot. With a bit more attention to execution and staff coordination, it could easily elevate itself. For now, it’s a decent choice if you’re in Byblos and want a meal with a view—just order wisely.

The food was ok. Good fajitas, wara2 3enab & r2a2at. But the potatoes in both batata harra & the fish and chips plate was uncooked properly (still raw from the inside). Good atmosphere and good service. The bathroom needs to be taken care of, as the water was on the ground and just washing the hands was difficult to do.

When I first saw the rating, I thought the place would be extremely commercial, but it turned out to be amazing. The food is outstanding — the hummus with meat is just wow! The bird plate is delicious , and Noor and Maria were so helpful. Extremely great staff.

Every visit to Feniqia is better than the last! I’ve been here five times over the past few years, every time I visit Lebanon, and it has truly become my place with my fiancé. The service is exceptional — always friendly, kind, smiling, and incredibly attentive. They’re quick, receptive to multiple requests, and genuinely make you feel welcomed. The food keeps surprising us: it’s consistently delicious, with new items added over time, and everything is presented in such an original way. The pulley-style serving system is unique and makes the whole experience even more memorable. On our last visit, they even offered us complimentary ice cream. One of the flavors was mint (which I’m allergic to), and when I kindly mentioned that I can’t have it, they immediately replaced it with another flavor without hesitation — such a thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care about their guests. The vibe is always so cool, with creative décor and a lively yet cozy atmosphere. Every detail, from the decoration to the presentation of the food, feels original and special. Simply the best hummus I have ever eaten. The baba ganoush and tabbouleh were fantastic. The shrimp were divine; in pastry, fried, and grilled. The spinach salad was so good. Friendly good service. If you want authentic Lebanese food, that is fantastic, this is the place.

Wow, i always pass by this restaurant but never dined in, and now i feel bad for all the yummi flavors i missed!! This restaurant has a really nice location and the interior design stands out for its uniqueness. We tried the chicken osmalliyeh that was super duper amazing, the chicken very nicely fried and wrapped with the osmalliyeh vermicelle, it was crunchy and had a taste mixed between sweet and savory that i absolutely loved. the marinated chicken was very good as well, they are served by piece on a mini wooden skewer with a very tasty sauce that you dip your bite into. I like the concept of the restaurant, they took normal mezze dishes and revisited them to make them a little more creative and unique. I would recommend this place, it is a bit more expensive that others in the area but it is worth it.

I used to come here and always liked the green basil hummus and shrimp osmaliye My only complaint is with time the shrimp was more empty but over all was good.. We went for a large fattoush and then were told there is a small size off menu.

This place is one of the best restaurants in the area. The staff were friendly and professional. The service was really fast. Everything came in the right order. All the dishes were so yummy. Green labne was so good. Kechek with pomegranate was my favorite item. Fish tawook was delicious. Osmalye cheese and osmalye chicken were yummy. Burghol with mhamara could have been better. All in all, the experience was simply amazing. Keep up the amazing work.

One of the best restaurants in Lebanon. This is no exaggeration. A Lebanese restaurant but with their own delightful twist. Everything is done with exquisite care and quality. Their waiters were absolutely fantastic and with great suggestions. I could not fault them one bit. Even for the price, the portions are huge. Lovely lebanese restaurant with outdoor seating (covered in winter) in the old souk of Jbeil. Loved the decoration and the concept of fekharas and pierrade-like pot and how friendly the manager & staff are. Some food items were not exceptional such as the fattoush and chicken fekharra which were very citrusy and wedges which were loaded with paprika. Other dishes were tasty and the experience overall was positive. Recommended!

In the heart of Jbeil & in the heart of souk Jbeil, Adonai has such a unique decoration, the outdoor seating is so nice, it’s what attracted us to eat there. A simple setting in the heart of Byblos having a menu including a variety of lebanese and seafood items. We tried some mezze and the Mawaade. It was a nice experience and food was tasty. Also, I should mention that their House wine is a good one which you should try. It is better to reserve your table ahead.

Nice experience to have in the cozy neighborhoods of Jbeil. The food portions were okay. The fresh calamari was the star of the show! The steak needs to be more tender as it was stuck most of the time on the grill plate.

Very unprofessional. We are loyal customers and order lunch every Sunday, but this time we received the food cold, and the “farrouj” was burned. We called to give our feedback, but the manager was busy. When he finally called back and we explained the issue, his response was that we should have sent a picture for the chef to “believe” us because he needed proof. Sorry?! After a 10-minute call, he kept repeating the same thing. Very unprofessional and very rude. No trust or respect for loyal customers. Never again!

We had a very disappointing experience at Ksar Restaurant. There was no proper air conditioning, and our kids were extremely hot the whole time. The service was very slow, which is unacceptable. They claimed the AC was working, but we ended up sweating throughout the meal. To make matters worse, they made a mistake on our bill and added a plate we never ordered. Definitely not the experience we expected and will not be returning.

Part of the place has a nice view on Byblos old port. The place is nice having a light decoration. The service is casual and the quick. We tried the Chicken sandwich in pizza dough, it was tasty. The Pizza Aragula was tasteless. The Quinoa Salad was ok. Prices are fair and portions as well.

Amazing restaurant in the old souk in Jbeil. It is located on a rooftop with a few tables overlooking the old port and fort. The restaurant menu was slightly disapointing at first as there wasnt a wide selection of food items. But this perception quickly changed when the food arrived as every single item was delicious. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Lebanon; Sapori E Vini has been on my bucket list for quite a while. If you're looking for a great Italian restaurant, you've reached the right place. Staff is very welcoming and attentive, and extremely polite. Food is delicious and service is quick and on point. Prices are very affordable and portions are fair. Reservation is recommended, especially on weekends. Looking forward to visit again soon, and especially in the summer to try out the garden seating.

A Masterclass in Hype Over Substance: We dined here recently, drawn in by the glowing 4.5-star rating and sleek presentation. What we encountered instead was a surreal combination of rushed service, poorly executed food, and misplaced self-confidence. We ordered the Ravioli ai Porcini, Linguine with shrimp, pistachio pesto and burrata, two cocktails (Gin Basil and Aperol Spritz), and a bottle of water. Everything - and I mean everything - arrived at the table within four minutes of ordering. While speed can be impressive, here it signaled something else entirely: a lack of care, freshness, or quality. The ravioli was a particular letdown - overly pureed, borderline canned in texture, and far from fresh. The linguine was just as lifeless. The Gin Basil somehow managed to be both flat and off-balance. Even the limoncello, which was offered to us later, was undrinkable. You truly couldn’t pay us to eat here again. The service was almost nonexistent, and to add insult to injury, the credit card machine “happened” to not work that evening - a detail I raised on the phone two days later. No explanation was offered. To his credit, the operations manager, Tony, did call back and offer a breakfast for two - a kind gesture. We declined. We felt bloated and mildly sick from the experience, and the thought of eating more from the same kitchen just wasn’t an option. What surprised us most was Tony’s pride in supplying pizzas to another restaurant we actually love - one that executes with care and attention to detail. Unfortunately, access to good ingredients is meaningless when execution fails this profoundly. It’s also worth noting that a large number of this restaurant’s recent five-star reviews come from accounts with only one review - a suspicious pattern that undermines the credibility of their high average. The numbers may dazzle, but the food does not.

First things first, Carla, Nour, and Clara (and everyone else) what a team! These are the friendliest staff you'll ever come across. They always welcome us with open arms. The genuine smiles and their attentive service really added to the overall experience. Every dish I've tried here has been a mouthwatering delight. From their perfectly cooked pasta to their pizzas, the flavors are simply amazing. Ah and I must say, their pain perdue is an absolute must-try. So, if you're looking for an italian place that checks all the boxes - then look no further. Trust me, you'll find yourself coming back time and time again, just like me. :)

Khan Jbeil is the perfect spot for an evening out, especially when the talented singers Gilbert and Rafqa perform. The ambiance is absolutely amazing, with their live music creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere that elevates the dining experience. While the food is delicious, the portions are on the smaller side, which might leave some guests wanting a bit more. However, the exceptional ambiance and the quality of entertainment more than make up for it. If you’re looking for a memorable night filled with music and a cozy vibe, Khan Jbeil is a great choice.

Generous portions and delicious. We ordered the fattoush salad which was amazing, hummus with meat, and other plates. The server was attentive. The building looks like an old building build with stones, a monument by itself which gives the place good vibes

We came to this restaurant as a large team, hoping for a memorable meal—but unfortunately, it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. First, the prices are extremely high for what’s offered. We were shocked when the bill came, especially considering the quality of the food. Speaking of which, the dishes were completely underwhelming—bland, lacking seasoning, and simply uninspired. To make matters worse, we found a hair in one of the plates, which was not only off-putting but also unacceptable for any dining establishment. Needless to say, we all left disappointed. Definitely not the experience we expected or paid for. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially if you're coming with a group and expecting a quality meal.

If you want to have a very delicious food near the old souk of Jbeil. Then this is your place. The food is so delicious and the atomsphere makes you feel that you are a pure Arab Lebanese person. The service is little bit slow even they have many waiters.

We had their سلة الترويقة it was fair, don’t expect portions to be as big as regular portions, serves two persons, food was okay.

Food is average. When we saw the prices we expected spectacular dishes (for the high price) but we were shocked with average food. Chicken was dry, pizza was basically man2oushet jebneh. Even pasta tawouk plate was below average specially having only a couple chicken pieces on top of it. It is good as a cafe, the service is good and its a good place to watch matches if you don’t want to eat

Chez Pepe is a great spot for lunch. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We had a wonderful time, and the highlight was definitely the dessert they surprised us with after our meal it was such a nice touch! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are super friendly.

The service and management are a bit off, I’ve visited with cousins the last two times and felt like the service can be nicer and more welcoming, they won’t come back but I will give this place another chance if the management likes to be more respectful for such a beautiful experience in this historical setting.

Very nice and calm place near the port of Jbeil. The food and the smell of the food makes you order more than you can eat. The prices are affordable and the service is fast. The taste of the fish feels so fresh. Would recommend it to anyone passing near the Port. You sit very close to the port of Jbeil and the view is like a beautiful drawing.

Chez Pépé, in Jbeil-Byblos has some of the best authentic seafood along with lebanese dishes. The freshness and variety of the food is unmatched especially the calamari, shrimps, octopus and the salads. Other than the great quality food and the amazing view and atmosphere, you have access to a small museum. Highly recommended 🍴🤍

The restaurant is nicely places in center of byblos with a nice look on the port. The servants were agreable and nice. However, i am putting 3 stars for the extremly high price compared to other restaurants in lebanon. Also the chef who chose the fishes to us was like very fast and he tried to intimidate us without really asking what do we want (we wanted to know more about the fishes but he directly weighted them and kind of tell us thats all folks, without telling the price 800000 lebanese pound equivalent to 27 dollars per fish of 800g weight). He just wants to sell the fishes. The "abou sen" fish was very delicious however the otber one (lokkos probably)was spongy or not very well cooked (althouhh am not a fish expert!). The french fries (chips) arrived lots before the fish which made them cold thus we ordered other plate of fries. Over all you can go but prepare well your pocket

Perhaps consider revisiting your recipes to better capture the essence of Mexican cuisine. We also understand that quality ingredients come at a cost, but I felt the prices were slightly overpriced. A favorite! Food is consistent, really good beef, chicken and shrimp tacos. Margaritas are really good. Nachos are delicious. The place’s aesthetic, atmosphere and general energy is beautiful. A good place to go with the family to enjoy a relaxed quiet meal. Quesadillas are average. The shrimp ceviche salad is tasteless, not worth it at all.

El Molino sits in a nice spot and view in Jbeil. They have some really good dishes and some really mediocre ones for a mexican restaurant. Margaritas are too sweet and lack tequila, and what really bothered me is that they were served in plastic cups instead of glass. Soft tacos bites (chicken & beef) were the highlight of our lunch, super tasty. They really need to work on their guacamole and nachos, guacamole is the identity of a good Mexican restaurant, unfortunately theirs wasn’t. Shrimp fajita was good, nothing special, the bread though is really good and thin.

It’s a great place for dinner. We had beef tacos and a chicken burrito — the tacos were especially good and tasted really authentic. The ambience was very nice, perfect for a date or a family dinner. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back.

Old authentic mexican restaurant in jbeil. The service is very good and the food is tasty. Reservation is a must specially for dinner time. I recommend the mixed fajita platter and the tequila pasta.

The food was average for the price. Portions were small and not fulfilling. Atmosphere was nice (we went on Christmas day) and service was very slow. Oh and our food was served cold!

Worst experience ever. We ordered one beef shawarma and one chicken shawarma. We waited 45 minutes. The waiter told us the food would be ready in 5 minutes, but it came 30 minutes later. When the food finally arrived, we couldn’t even eat it. I have never in my life tasted such bad shawarma. The waiter was a young boy — very sweet — but that doesn’t change the experience.

Great egg dishes and tasty food. The prices are slightly higher than what you get in return, but I assume most of the restaurants in the area has the same high prices. E.g. cup of tea is costing 4.5 USD.

located in the heart of jbeil in the old souks. this resturant offers a very tasty lebanese mezza it also serves raw meat. the staff are friendly. ambiance is good. the decoration is good. I specialy liked the KebbeH. In the weekend it may get a bit crowded.

The capppucino took 20min to be ready, some issue with machine, and it was nothing about capuccino but some coffee with milk and no foam at all. Saj was good

The view is nice, but that's nature as one reviewer mentions below. Beer was warm, The food was poor quality. Fattoush doesn't have lemon and tasteless, hummus tastes like canned. Provencal shrimp tastes like frozen bags which we buy for 15 dollars. Fried fish, wasn't bad but then again what wrong can you do with that 😂? It is definitely Over-priced. Paid almost as much as Le Sushi Bar. Overall, I would rate it poorly.

Great atmosphere, awful service, kept calling the waiters, none of them would answer, food was okay. Idk what is it about these male waiters, they see a couple women on other tables and the men are literally invisible to them. Disappointed Experience – Not Worth the Price Visited Aal Baher with my wife expecting a pleasant seafood meal by the sea, but unfortunately the experience was below expectations. The waiter was a bit pushy and insisted we order more items, which made us uncomfortable. We ended up with a bill of $156 for just two people, which is extremely overpriced considering the portions and overall service. The view is nice, and some dishes were decent, but nothing exceptional to justify the high cost. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it for couples or anyone looking for a relaxing, respectful dining experience in Byblos

Love the atmosphere at Edde yard. Loved also the new menu because it’s been a while since our last visit. The filet was amazing but the roasted Brie not so much. We were a bit disappointed by the sauce that comes with the meat. It was much tastier before. But so happy to know that quality hasn’t changed !

Very nice gem of a restaurant located in the old town of byblos. The food was really average, which is really disappointing because it used to be my favorite restaurant. We had the bruschetta which was served on a soggy cold slice of baguette, then we had the steak sandwich which was good but poor presentation. Finally we had the poussin which took around 45 minutes and was again disappointing. However the atmosphere of the restaurant is really unique and beautiful.

I went to an engagement party held at the venue on the ground floor, the place is very nice and has an old time lebanese charm, the food was very good, they have a range of sea food related dishes, and the staff were nice and quick.

I would highly recommend this hotel to any visitor to Lebanon specially looking for a clean hotel with beautiful view on the Mediterranean sea. This hotel is close to old souq which is one of town attractions, less than 30 minutes to Batroun, and 45 minutes to center of Beirut.

Just visited last week and all I can say is WOW. The hotel is very clean, well designed, and service/staff was excellent and friendly. Location of the hotel is perfect for visiting Byblos. Had a room by the water and view was incredible. Yes, there is a lounge located right in front of the hotel and music is a bit loud, but didn't bother us at all. Once the balcony door is closed, you could barely hear it. Hotel has a very nice summer vibe and I will definitely be staying there again. As mentioned, staff is excellent, helpful and very understanding. There were no issues with check-in or check-out (late check-out). They also provide beach towels if you need them. Lastly, the breakfast is incredible, great food, great views. Can't complain at all, we loved it!

4 stars is just because of the 24 hour generator noise, and the waiters at the breakfast weren’t very friendly. Otherwise, the reception staff were very nice and helpful. The sea view is absolutely beautiful!

I ordered the grilled half-chicken platter, the chicken was fresh and well done, I recommend it. The platter lacked other stuff, poorly done fries, and only one type of pickels, a bit of lettuce. I would recommend they make the platter richer. The fries sandwich was good, and as always the cocktail was very good (Banana milk honey)

Saturday night was crowded at this place. The crew is very friendly but service that night was a bit slow. We had shawarma chicken it was average since the chicken is overcooked and the bread not very fresh, the pickles in the sandwiches were not tasty at all and too many fries in the sandwiches with too little chicken. Prices are acceptable. Overall i would try this place again on a regular day when it's not very crowded.

In such a beautiful setting, you would expect the management to invest in their kitchen staff! We visited on a weekday for lunch and got the best table in the house since the place was empty. The view and setting were magnificent. However, we soon realized that the service did not match the location. The staff had no knowledge of the menu or cocktails, which worried us from the start. I ordered a spicy margarita, but it was bland, so I had to send it back to the bartender to remake. The food was below average, except for the grilled octopus leg. For a restaurant claiming to be Greek, the Greek salad was very disappointing (served with zucchini!) And the Mussels Tartine 👎🏼. The only knowledgeable person was the manager, but even the best leader cannot succeed without a strong team.

Tables touching the water!The highlight of the night. Very pricey, good food but nothing out of the ordinary. Therefore i felt like paying for a view that is supposed to be owned by the public and not by a private investor. Good ambience, calm mid week. Friendly waiters very helpful. Fresh oysters served, very delicious but definitely not for free if u ever get that impression. We had a margarita pitcher (3 people). We definitely tasted better ones elsewhere, and got us dizzy with a the worst morning hangover even though we re used to similar amounts of alcohol (and there was one cup left) bet the alcohol is of very poor quality.

The experience was good! I went suddenly without reservation They gave me a nice room and so clean! The breakfast was good and delicious! The staff, room service are amazing and so lovely! What I want to say is that the price of 1 room for 1 night was a bit expensive and especially that they did not offer towels or brush teeth or anything! But all in all, not bad!

I am surprised that 1 year back the reviews were a 5/5.. i will give the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were indeed good but what i know now for sure is that they're definitely NOT anymore. The rooms need maintenance, the food is horrible- we had breakfast again outside and for way much cheaper. The rooms are expensive compared to what they offer, it looks like they are trying to save money to the last bit, i didn't dare to step a foot without slipper on the floor, amenities are worse than basic.. make sure to get everything you need except for towels. I literally didn't know what to eat, they had hard rock thyme and dried cheese pastries, around 5 days old custard tray (cheapest handmade dessert) labneh from the day before, cheese, beans 2 days old, re-reboiled eggs- all that for a very limited quantity that not all guests could have breakfast. I gave a star because one of the staff was the friendliest of all.. the rest dont greet and dont ask if we had a good stay.. for the price we paid, it is definitely overrated and not worth it!!

Family owned and operated to perfection!!! They truly treat you as part of the family!! Perfect location walking distance to Jbail Stores, Restaurants and Nightlife. When you know each staff member by name and they know you it’s a very welcoming feeling. Amazing family and super clean hotel!! Rooms were very well maintained very accommodating. I stayed multiple times within my trip to Lebanon and will definitely be back the my next trip. Breakfast is amazing on mezzanine with great service. It was really good there. The receptionist was great, the location is nice if you have a car. We took 4 rooms (we went with my family). The one star that is left is for the maintenance in the rooms. Shower douch, bathtub need to be repaired or updated.

We were searching for a place to have dinner in byblos when we decided to try this place that we heard a lot about it before. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The service could have been faster since we were alone in the place. We took a set and an extra few pieces. The ingredients were of good quality. The size of the sushi pieces could have been a bit bigger for its price. The creations in the set could have been better. All in all, it was a good experience.

Very disappointed! I’ve tried this place several times before and the food used to be so good but this time the food was different. We ordered, dynamite shrimps(meh) kani kami salad (bad quality of crab and the veggies were thickly sliced). mushroom Donabe(i had to return this dish, it was tasteless, dry and barley had any mushrooms. The beef and mushroom noodles were also disappointing, the beef tasted bad (quality of meat and the marination). Sushi pieces were ok. Honestly the only good item was the sparkling water lol. We ended up paying 64$ (they removed the Donabe)

Decided to visit after checking the reviews for this place, i must say was a bit disappointed for the below reasons Food is less than average for a 4+ review score restaurant, it is more likely to be a snack not a restaurant. Service is well, very poor, the waiters are careless, and you'll need to call upon them several times. What is good about it is the location, which is surrounded by water and a view on the Bay directly Value for money is also a bit expensive for the quality and service they offer. Would not recommend if you're looking for a 4+ restaurant.

Ok, not the most affordable sushi but you definitely get what you pay for! Good quality makis and sushi pieces in general, each piece really offers different flavors, i LOVE the sauce they put on top of some of the pieces, and their salmon is fresh.

The go to place to ruin your sushi experience. The pieces are too small (people enjoy mouth filling sushi- here you get mouth filling rice), Perrier is served in tin cans instead of a glass bottle. Sets are not served dine in. The principle for a successful f & b is generosity, except for the french cuisine, they somehow managed to make Japanese sushi in french portions.

The food was decent — not exceptional. Unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. One of the sets came without the shredded nori topping, and when I asked about it, the explanation was that the kitchen was rushed. I get that things can get hectic, but it felt like a basic detail to miss. We also had to ask twice for an ice bucket for the wine, and twice again for some ginger. These may seem like small things, but they added up and left the impression that attention to detail just wasn’t there. It’s not that it was a disaster, but when the food is just okay and the service feels careless, it’s hard to want to come back. This is just my honest experience — hopefully it helps the team improve, and helps others know what to expect.

The staff treats customers very rudely and unprofessionally. My husband and I asked to replace our lemonade because we felt some spices in it and we were told that they are a high-ranking restaurant and only accept orders with breakfasts and lunches, but we only ordered drinks and light things and they did us a big favor by "allowing" us to sit here in this wonderful 5-star restaurant so we should shut up and drink lemonade with pepper.

I went to this place twice about 15 years apart. The second time was by accident I had forgotten id been there...until the food started to arrive - and thats when I remembered I had been here before. Both times the food was terrible, the service was awful and the staff were rude. Not even the view can save it from how bad the whole experience was. I'm almost sure everything is microwaved - even the coffee. Frankly surprised this place is still open.

Honestly, the worst experience I have had in Lebanon. The waitress lies to you saying they have a breakfast menu but when she brings the bill turns out they made ad hoc prices for what you ordered. She justifies that by saying that fish is expensive although we ate zaatar and bread. She watches videos with sound on. Don't waste your time!

Great location and view over the old port of Byblos. The service wasn't so good for such a place. We would expect a better-trained team and clean toilets. The food was fine but not the best in that area. They must do better with the high competition in that touristic area.

We went together as a family and we enjoyed the good taste, great quality food that was served at InTown Italian restaurant. It’s fair pricing more to the expensive side but otherwise, the service is welcoming, the food is amazing, the portion is great. Will come back again.

The service was at its worst, the staff didn’t provide the minimum effort to provide the service, as if they don’t want somebody to get served, and the funniest thing is that , one of the servers requested a smoke from us, even though we gave it to him but it was so strange , the staff must learn that , they must not request anything from the clients/customers. The ambience was acceptable and desserts were good. But the unprofessionalism of the staff made this place unwanted and unwelcome. Will not repeat.

Terrible Experience This place is a disaster. They are severely understaffed, and the service was painfully slow. To make it worse, there were no tissues available anywhere, and the tables were filthy. It felt like no one cared at all. Easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Brouhaha Intown and I'm excited to share my 5-star review. While I was there, something happened that brought a lot of amusement to our dining experience. A nearby dog suddenly started barking, which caught our waitress off guard and made for a hilarious moment. The manager, being incredibly generous, went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary minted lemonade juice as a gesture of goodwill. I have to say, it was truly one of the most delicious drinks I have ever had. This extraordinary incident, along with the scrumptious food and the friendly staff, made our visit to Brouhaha Intown unforgettable. Delicious gem of a restaurant on a gorgeous sea. Had lunch here in November on Independence Day. Came at 12 p.m. and had the veranda overlooking the sea all to myself for two hours! The Staff were professional, fast, helpful and humorous. They have a small playground for children. The stairs down to the sea are closed, but I walked down the road and could get to their fantastic secret beach spot by the sea anyhow. It was gorgeous! See my pictures. God is so good!The bathrooms are clean and have toilet paper and soap and water and drying towels and even a baby changing table :-) They even agreed to speak with me in my horrible French even though they spoke English. I had a half kilo of fish for seven dollars (150,000) along with hummus (33,000) and the Fattouch salad (35,000 had a sweet red wine vinaigrette as grilled bread) with bread. I had a glass of dry red wine with the meal for a buck and a half (33,000). The fish came with medium heat salsa and cream dipping sauce with lemon and tasted delicious. The waiter even deboned the fish for me!

For a meal by the sea, we went to Pearl Island in Byblos. It is a seafood restaurant with a great view. Looking at the vast blue sea calms the mind and relaxes the body. The ambiance is friendly and you feel that families are welcome there. If you have a little one, you will be relieved to know that the high chair does indeed have a table and wheels. I can not stress the importance of the addition of a table to the high chair enough; it is so annoying when a toddler does not have his/her own space. More space for children to enjoy is a stretch of green grass and a small yet effective playground. Moving on to the service; the waiters are very helpful, to the extent where it can get a tad uncomfortable. They do not set food on the table after making it hover above your head as you dodge the upcoming platters, in hope that the sauce does not drizzle from one of those dishes and land on your head. If you are Lebanese or have experienced a traditional Lebanese restaurant, you know what I mean. However, sometimes you feel that the waiters are trying way too hard. In some instances, it was a bit comical, and I felt that the waiter might as well sit with us at the table and pass me the food. Speaking of the food; the mezze dishes (or mezza, as I call it, are somewhat akin to tapas) were well presented, such as the hummus dollops and the small fish (called bizri) placed into a crunchy pita bread, acting as a bowl. After we feasted on the variety of appetizers, we ordered fried fish which was accompanied by fried pita bread, which I absolutely love. The fish were crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside. Then, a variety of fruits and desserts, that are free of charge, are placed on the table. They were a pleasant way to end the meal. All in all, Pearl Island is a lovely setting with good seafood, though not outstanding in taste, yet successful in satisfying one’s appetite for the creatures of the deep.

Best service in Jbeil. Food was plentiful and cooked to perfection. Waite staff were very friendly and were amazingly accomodating. 5 stars for this great place
