Really nice cakes for all occasions. The apple struddle is yummy. Sour cherry chocolate tart is delish - very rich. The Banoffee is great. Pecan pie is good. Carrot cake is quite good... I don't think I had anything not great from this bakery ! Recommend! Prices are OK as well. $35 for a whole cake.

☆☆☆☆ I had a really disappointing experience at Cakebox recently. I ordered a birthday cake and requested a personalized birthday card to go with it. When I returned about 10 minutes later to pick it up, the card was simply placed aside. I politely asked the staff member if she could attach it to the cake, and she replied, “It doesn’t fit the fridge”—which honestly didn’t make any sense, especially since the cake was just in a box. It felt like an excuse, and came across as pure laziness. I also handed over my loyalty card, which already had a faint stamp on it. Instead of checking with me, she assumed it was unused and just marked it as the first stamp. I corrected her and pointed out the existing mark, and while she did give me another stamp, she looked visibly annoyed. To make it worse, I said “thank you” twice on my way out and didn’t even get a single word back. No smile, no acknowledgment—just rude and cold service. Every time I visit this shop, I also have to wait at least 2–3 minutes before anyone even coming out from the back and provide service. 🤣To The Reply Loyalty Card: How others may have misused your loyalty program has nothing to do with me. I was honest and explained that my card already had a stamp, but your staff assumed it was unused without asking. If you’re concerned about customers taking advantage, maybe reconsider offering the program altogether rather than doubting everyone who uses it. Unfair and rude. Sugar Plaque: I asked twice if it could be placed on the cake, and was told “it doesn’t fit the fridge,” which made no sense. Won’t consider this is a “versed” explanation. There was no clear explanation or effort to communicate properly. Waiting time: Being to the shop more than 10 times. Every time I had to wait in the silence in the empty store for a few minutes until someone shows up. No a “ won’t be long”, not a “ hello” from the back or anywhere but just waiting in silence until someone shows up a few mins later. Being to countless shops, this is very unique way of welcoming customers. Attitude: The staff face was not friendly at all after the loyalty card, no apology for assuming me as someone tricky, what was even worse is that she couldn’t even be bothered to properly respond to a few thank you just standing looking at me with a resentful face. Your Response: Instead of addressing the issue your reply came across as defensive and dismissive. And made it immediately like “ you are wrong and I am right. You are the one have problem” Honestly! What a narrow minded of blaming and picking a side. If you can respond to a review in under an hour, but can’t attend to one customer in time in-store, that says something about where your focus is.

I bought a Tiramasu gateau as a birthday cake. Not quite like the website pic but very close. Recipient delighted. Well presented and each mouthful was exquisite. I have bought here before and the standard is very high. Many thanks. Service was great too - I called to order it and they couldn't have been more helpful. Full marks.

I ordered a Cheese Cake I thought it would be a tart taste given the flavour, it was quite bland but it had a taste of flour. Given the flavour I ordered that it self was tasteless. The box had smudge marks on it finger prints stood out being black edging Decoration on top was plop of jam Not happy with flavour

OMG!!! Everyone told me to try it, but I wasn't a believer. I am now. The mint choc ice cream sandwich was truly amazing, truly amazing. Without a doubt the greatest ice cream sandwich i have ever tried. Please stop and try one, you will not regret the experience. I'm going again before I leave. Yum yum yum

This place is so dreamy, I went several times when i was in New Zealand! Their ice creams really hit the spot! I loved everything I picked and I have so many favorites like the bread fairy ice cream sandwich, the cookie and creme ice cream sandwich, the berry cheesecake ice cream and the pecan butterscotch. Never settle for one scoop take them all 💕

Today I was really happy to return to Duck Island Ice Cream, which is located near the high school I used to attend. About two years ago, I went there almost every day after school to buy ice cream. However, today I had just changed my SIM card and my new bank card, and my new mobile plan wasn’t working yet. I needed a little bit of internet access so I could transfer money to my Go account and pay for my ice cream. When I asked the first staff member if I could connect to Wi-Fi, they told me the shop didn’t have any. But I could clearly see a Wi-Fi network named “Duck Island,” and I also know that they used to provide Wi-Fi to customers before. Then another staff member said they didn’t know the password. I had already explained my situation clearly and just needed a short connection to complete my payment, but they still asked me to go outside to find Wi-Fi elsewhere. It was quite disappointing, especially since I used to love this place so much.

Very bad experience. I guess the young fellow was judging a book by its cover. The amount of scooping was not right as the usual way i always got matching the price. And i am more disappointed with the customer service. It was one of my favourite shop to enjoy the ice cream. But after my last visit, i have completely crossed this one now from my list.

I can’t rate this business highly enough not only did the 21st cake we order look beautiful but it tasted delicious. They nailed the brief with the decorating and everyone thought it was so beautiful, a real work of art. The cake was so moist and delicious everyone couldn’t believe it was gluten free. Their communication throughout the whole process right from inquiry through to collection of our order was prompt and exceptional. Out of all the cake makers I sent enquiries to they were the only one to respond so we really appreciated their professionalism. I will definitely order from them again in the future for all our special occasion cakes and highly recommend them to anyone wanting something special baked.

It was my Best friend’s 30th Birthday and she LOVES cows. Her facial expression said it all when the cake was revealed. Absolutely satisfied with how this cake turned out. A friend highly recommended this bakery and cafe a few weeks ago. Today I tried to order through a food delivery app and tried the Japanese iced chiffon cheese cake and the tiramisu. It came in a paper bag with simple and clean packaging. A delightful treat that's perfect with coffee or tea.😋 Not too sweet, just the way I like it! Their Japanese cheese cake is a must-try!

Good place to have a snack, haven’t tried the coffee which I will return to have. Had the yolk pastry which had a yolk and date inside it tasted alright and got the mango steam pudding which we loved.

Nice and clean bakery cafe, egg tart is popular , kids loved it very much, bought 8 two days ago, and came back today for another 12. Coconut jelly is fresh taste , too. Good rest area during trips.

My partner and I visited Hamilton for a day trip and stumbled upon this charming store where we met a friend. The cakes were absolutely delicious, and the drinks were a perfect match. The cafe has a lovely and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great place to catch up with friends.

We come here every month and everything we have tried so far are of consistently high quality. The hazelnut chocolate loaf, chocolate cake, crepe cake, mochi, egg tarts, oreo cake, tiramisu and custom made birthday cakes etc. The drinks are also delicious, matcha latte and black sesame latte are my go-to.

The Reuben on Rye and the Beef & Cheese toasted sandwiches are so delicious! Great coffee too

If you like a good donut, croissant, and lemon meringue pie - try them put together as a lemon meringue cronut (I picked up mine from the Sunday farmers market)! It’s the most delicious pastry I’ve had in a long time. If you’re going savoury, I love their olive and thyme sourdough loaf. So good with just some olive oil and balsamic vinegar!

I ordered two birthday cakes; one for lunch and the other for dinner at two separate venues. The Mango Bravo for lunch was delicious. The Lemon Passionfruit Cheesecake was a bit too sweet for me but both cakes were greatly received. Thank you Boutique Cakes. Definitely will be my first port of call for celebration cakes.

On three seperate occasions I’ve bought a few steak and cheese pies and mince and cheese pies for family and there’s no cheese in any of them. Have confirmed with staff that we have the ‘correct’ pie too 🥴 and service is not particularly friendly either. Sandwiches are great though.

Came down here last week for the balloons over Waikato, was around 7am we stopped for some breakfast, all the Tongs were dirty being so early in the morning you would think they would be clean. Had old food on them. We ended up just leaving, if they don't even wash there utensils I would imagine the food was probably not fresh either.

Our first meal in NZ after 28 hours of travel from Canada. The pies are fantastic! Open early including on Sunday which was very useful for us.

This place is in need of a deep clean. The staff are nice and the food is alright but the place itself is gross. The tables have caked up gunk, the walls are filthy and I spotted 2 cockroaches on the counter by the food as I was eating.

Great variety of fresh sweet and savoury products for very cheap prices. Quality is not Michelin Star worthy, but better than most bakeries and well worth the price. Customer service is also excellent, well worth visiting when wanting something quick and simple for breakfast or lunch.

I had eggs Benedict with a mocha and banana smoothie and my Mum had the pancakes with a mango smoothie and OMG it was just beautiful, my eggs were cooked perfectly and we just enjoyed the meals so much, also the lady at the counter was so nice, the service was amazing however the old man was a grump and I think he just wanted us to hurry up and leave to free the table which is understandable coz it does get quite busy but let your customers breath first before leaving, especially after eating such a lovely meal geez lol

Coffee - not even worth a star. Super expensive $7 for a small cup and worst coffee of our lives, ended with tummy aches. Something definitely changed recently as we were regular coffee drinkers a while ago. Worst experience with coffees at Volare today at Gallagher Drive. Walked with the team of 4 to get coffees and experience the new store. Most of us ordered Mocha and it tasted like milk - can't taste either coffee or chocolate. Had to throw away my coffee after first few sips, money wasted. Two of my colleagues are having tummy aches and are sick just after an hour of coffee. It wasn't even busy period, staff forgot colleague's coffee and didn't even apologize for the delay. ! Never going again. Goodbye forever!

Today I bought my usual reuben on rye, which was delicious, but the coffee was terrible. My coffee had no crema and basically was warm milk with burnt coffee. I was already half way to work when I realised so I could not turn back. The barista looked young and inexperienced.

Good friendly staff. Hot chocolate is nice. I wanted to have the Tomato and lentil soup but I was very surprised they serve it in a take away cup (the drinking cup for drinks). It's not even welcoming to have a soup in a take away cup. Foods are served very cold and they can not heat it up. So we have to take it home to heat it up properly. In conclusion, hot drinks, very cold food and soups served in a take away drinking cups. Won't come again and waste my money. Am not sure how they got their awards that was filling the walls of the place. Maybe their breads are good, I haven't tried them. But I know they will be served cold.

I bought this bread at the Collective shed markets in Oratia, its the first time I ever tried this, it has to be one of the best falavoursome sour breads I have eaten. As I only ever buy sourdough, and overall disappointed each time, this was amazing. I wish you were in Auckland. The gentleman who was selling was so lovely too.

Simply the best carrot cake in New Zealand, so delicious, huge slices slathered in lush cream cheese, nuts, seeds and dried fruit!! Other products are all great. We love the sourdough bread which freezes well, so we always buy a few at a time. Hubby loves the sausage rolls. Filled sandwiches also yum. You cant go wrong buying bread and food from Volare.

Custard donut and marshmallow donut was 90 percent donut and not nearly enough filling. Don’t you hate when you have to take so many bites just to get to the filling only to find the tiniest smidge of it. But the cream donut was pretty high quality, authentic raspberry jam couldve been more sweet but that’s just me. Their almond croissant is definitely the best.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after my experience at this bakery, I felt compelled to. I truly appreciate the level of care this place puts not only into their food but also into their relationships with customers. I want to give a huge thank you to the young woman with the piercings who helped me during my visit. Because of dietary restrictions, I need to be very careful with what I eat, and being my first time there, I felt flustered and overwhelmed by the selection. She was clearly busy, yet she stopped without hesitation, greeted me with a smile, and kindly walked me through the ingredients of different items so I could make the right choice. I ended up going with the date scone and chicken wrap—both of which I highly recommend! Northend has definitely become my new go-to spot for lunch.

What a delicious array of items to choose from!! Everything I expected and much more. Everything was next leveled except the pricing which was so reasonable, I’ll definitely be back. Yummy coffee too!

My husband used to shop here everyday when he was working, but they have really lowered thier standards of late. And the service, I'm not usually one to complain but waiting for a lady to get off her cellphone then apologise for the wait no thank you. Food quality and service levels have dropped which is sad as my husband and I always recommended this place till now. We know food is getting expensive but please don't keep lowering your quality for profit.

One of the few bakeries in Hamilton that makes a steak and kidney pie, although after the one I just had id hesitate to say that north end does, just depressing honestly. Oat caramel slice was crazy good though

We chose to dine at Momento while browsing for a Saturday morning brunch spot in Hamilton, and liked its corner location and quirky, spacious appearance. Amongst us we had a special of Panko-Crumbed Chicken Fillet Burger with “Mo-slaw”, curly fries & ailoi; a camembert and chicken croissant; and waffles with berries, chocolate & ice cream. We really enjoyed the chicken fillet burger, particularly the curly fries which were declared to be the best we’d had; just in the cooking properly done so they had the right crispness and seasoning, and a very generous serving too. The waffles were thin and crispy which went well with the deluge of berries. Too often waffles are served in thick blocks but in this style it really worked. There was just enough ice cream and cream to bring the whole plate together. Great taste. The croissant, consumed later, was lovely and fresh with a welcome side of salad and balsamic dressing. The ambience was really comfortable, we were right at home in the booth with the hard wood tables and leather alligator-skin upholstery. Chrome fixtures throughout made it feel modern with a nice reflection of light. All these touches gave the place a feel of a cafe that was “hip” without being “hipster”. Service was friendly and polite, but not intrusive. Small problem in one of the bathrooms, with a broken fixture on the toilet-roll holder, but still the place was very clean and well maintained. If choosing brunch again in Hamilton we would return and make Momento a fave.

Stopped in at Momento today to have a drink with the girls to acknowledge the hard work we have put into our studies thus far. There were some good specials: Corona bucket (x4 bottles) for $24, or a jug of Good George plum cider (about 4 standard sized drinks) and a cheesy pizza for $28. Lots of options for seating, lovely in the sun on a warm day. Decent food and drink, will be visiting again.

Thursday 2pm meant 'Burger special day' so I ordered a Pork Belly Burger, chips to eat in and a latte to go. The price was VERY reasonable, considering the serving size and absolute deliciousness. The pork belly was sublime - rendered to tenderness with crisp shell and perfect relish accompaniment. Chips were crispy fries with fluffy inner and tangy sauce on the side. My coffee was perfect strength and temperature. Each table had a choice of sugar or sweetener. Although the staff were busy serving, wiping, cleaning, they were all ready with a smile. Food - tick. Coffee - tick. Price - tick. Customer service - double tick. Absolutely recommended.

The coffee was great, but the food was terrible. I had a chicken & cheese omelette roll. It may have been ok before they reheated it, but the omelette turned to rubber, & the chicken that wasnt covered by cheese dried out so badly that it crumbled - like breadcrumbs. Not sure whether it was microwaved or what, but it was like eating cardboard. I slathered relish on it to make go down more easily.

We take our kids here regularly now. Gorgeous views and the perfect time distance for my preschoolers to walk without getting tired. The tron rocks we hide and find there are pretty cool too

Traveled from Auckland down to Hamilton Musuem to see their exhibition. We had a lovely lunch and a great pot of tea. Would differently recommend this cafe,great food,great prices,excellent service.

Me and my family ordered a 21st cake for my younger brother, the reviews were great so we thought we would give them a go! To our absolute delight the cake didn’t only look amazing but it lasted all of about 10 minutes with a group of boys in their 20s, they loved it! Service was wonderful, cake looked and tasted incredible, and should we need another cake I will be going right back for another.

Excellent goods, not so great communication. I've ordered off the website in the past and have also been in to the shop to buy cabinet cakes in the past, they have always been delicious. I decided I'd love to order a custom cake,as my sister-in-law has custom ordered plenty of beautiful cakes in the past for her children. But to my disappointment, I never got an email back. I rung to follow up and they said they received my email and someone would reply by the end of the day. Sadly i did not get a reply. I sent 2 follow up emails also with no reply. This was disappointing. However I put an order through on the website for some cupcakes in lue of a cake for my daughters birthday. They were beautiful and delicious. I'll definitely buy from here again but next time if I want a custom cake, I will go in and talk directly to them.

I regularly visit the store on Saturdays and each item I have had from the cabinet is delicious (the pineapple macarons taste more like pineapple lumps than pineapple lumps do). I recently ordered a cabinet cake for the first time and it was incredible! When sliced correctly it served the recommended amount of people and some. Could not recommend Lynn and her team more highly!

I purchased a Black Forest torte. Unfortunately, the cake was hard and lacked flavor, suggesting it may have been stale. It appeared as though it had been baked two to three days prior, indicating that it was not fresh at all.

Terrible customer service, Staff is so arrogant & rude. Very disappointed with my service and product from this store.. I have ordered a cake with image on top and blue & white sprinkles on outside but received just with blue and white icing when I asked to them they said they can’t do anything and we were fully booked for chrome cake till next January. Really ??if you want to take the cake you can take or of don’t then don’t. No apology ,no compensation , no discount or replacement offered. My mother just purchase a cake for her birthday today. The service from the salesperson was as cold as the fridge The flan was average. My mother put her hand out for the change and the sales person chose to put it on the counter instead. Eye contact and a smile is the bare minimum for customer service and she didn’t even receive that. Disappointed.

Brought a Black Forest Torte at $49.90 for our son's 30th birthday. We purchased late in day on 15th cut cake on 16th - it was tasteless and not fresh (stale), tasted like cake was about 2-3 days old, will never buy a cake/torte from here again, the cheesecake shop responded that they would pass onto to their supplier, I thought they "made their products in store" - now I feel this isn't the case ...... 😒

I ordered a black forest torte for an event I had that evening and ordered it to be ready at the store to pick up. Since they offer 1 hour click-and-collect and due to some issues sourcing a cake prior, I felt it was a good last minute option to order a cake. The cake itself was delicious and everyone enjoyed it, but the customer service was pretty terrible. Two blonde girls served me and seemed weirdly suspicious of me when I said I had come to pick up the cake. I showed them my email and order confirmation and they said they hadn’t prepared it so they went to do that (hesitantly). They asked me multiple times if I was actually the one ordering the cake and frowned at me suspiciously the whole time, even though I showed them the email proof. Pretty frustrating 🙄 acting like it was some $400 tiered custom cake they handcrafted when it was just a $50 torte. Weird experience would not recommend

After picking up my online order I now have concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene practices of this store. The young girl who served me was wearing pants that looked like she wiped her hands on, as the sides of them were covered in cheesecake. The box that my cheesecake was presented in was also covered in chocolate fingerprints and had crumbs all over it. Obviously gloves are not worn. Not impressed and won't buy from here again.

Pretty disappointing experience Black friday sale only available on line And order had to be in at 3 pm before closed at 7 . Cheese cake reduced in size , I enquired about this , staff member not interested . Very poor

Can we talk Pies?! There steak and cheese pies.. amazing. Their Bacon and egg pies on the other hand... Dry, burnt, made with bacon scraps.. literally the lowest tier pie I have ever had. I stopped buying cakes and sweets from here too because they are never fresh. Workers are lovely though ♡

Visited the bakery recently. Sandwiches were nice, and I had a bacon and egg muffin from the hot food section. The display said $6.50, but I was charged $7—even though $7 wasn’t written anywhere. When I asked, I was told the $6.50 was only for cold sandwiches. Bit confusing. Also, the coffee was bad—definitely not worth it. Would go back for the food, but not the coffee.

We were visiting NZ from Australia and wanted some bakery goods before going to Hamilton Gardens. Our first visit was so yummy that we purposely organised our plans a few days later to pass back through for a second visit. My mac and cheese and crispy chicken pie was a particular highlight. We also enjoyed the NY brownie, lolly slice, and raspberry slice. The staff were very very friendly. I also loved that the prices were more reasonable than you find elsewhere these days.

I Have been going to the Crest bakery regularly for years now. Their service is personal and their food is tasty. The menu changes every now and again which is great and they are always trying something new. I look forward to my coffee twice a week😁

Their doughnuts are actually fried. And the coffee was tasty too (which doesn't happen often at bakeries in my experience). Very friendly staff.

In Riverside Lane you’ll find a little bakery with sourdough and the lightest crispest croissants I’ve eaten since France. We started with a coffee and shared an apricot and almond danish which was light and sticky with crispy flakes my partner and I fought over. So we had to have an almond croissant as well. We have over eaten but happy. Highly recommend

I bought the pistachio white chocolate croissant (not sure if that’s the exact name). I really love their almond croissant, so I was excited to try this one. However, I was a bit disappointed because there wasn’t much filling inside. I get that pistachios can be pricey, but the filling barely covered half. The croissant is a decent size, but I only got a few bites with filling, and it wasn’t even filled to a quarter of the croissant, which felt misleading for $9.50 each. It honestly felt like I was just paying for a plain croissant. The same goes for their “softie” pastry—there’s also not much filling. Just a heads-up for other customers.

Picked up some yummy goods and coffee! Really enjoyed their pastries! And coffee was delicious too! Sourdough bread, bloody amaaaaazing👌🏾 Staff are awesome friendly people, so welcoming and warm. Cute little Cafe nice to sit down and relax. Highly recommend!

Rudi's is the place to go! I believe their Almond croissants are better than any I've had in France. The Peanut butter and Jelly 'Pain au Chocolat' is delicious! There is nothing quite like that first bite into a crispy pastry from Rudi's. I'm also a big fan of their bread! That focaccia - 10/10 for sure.

Best bread baker in Hamilton hands down. Have tried a ton of stuff from here. Pain au Ham and cheese is a must better than anything ive found in Auckland. Ciabatta bread is fantastic. Opted for pepperoni pizza bread today. Very good

In a little alleyway by the Waikato River are the best pastries in all of NZ. I've had the privilege of traveling up and down these islands and Rudi's is top of the list. Croissants are golden crunchy perfection on the outside, soft and extra buttery inside. Start with plain, branch out to almond, try the cinnamon scroll, nothing will disappoint. I am admittedly quite picky but once I found Rudi's, I have been spreading the word. Run, don't walk to this national treasure. We love you Rudi's, Hamilton is so lucky to have you!

We went to Auckland for their award-winning veggie pie, but they were all sold out! So they gave us one anyway, and we heated it up at home. It wasn't the best veggie pie ever, but it was pretty good.

Good steak jalepeño and cheese pie. Old school NZ filled rolls and slices, milk shakes, fish and chips on the menu. Drinks not priced high.

This is easily one of my favorite bakeries, the food is excellent with a wide selection of options, exceptional pies with some unique and delicious flavors, and the operators are lovely Their silver award winning vegetarian pie is amazing, and I'd totally recommend trying it, and I'm saying this as an avid omnivore!

The vegetarian pie is delicious!!! Highly recommend! Tried a few other bakeries in the area first and they didn’t even have anything vegetarian so was really happy to find this one and it to also be so yummy!

Delicious Pies, i really enjoyed the Cream Paua Pie. Which was very tasty. The custard tarts are like the good old days custard pies. They're huge and very delicious. Overall good range of food available, decent coffee and delicious pies!

Sweeties By Dan makes the best baking! I have had numerous cakes, cupcakes, cookies, blondies, etc from Dan and each time is delicious. We get her baking for every event and sometimes make up events as an excuse to get more. Dan is incredible in her decorating and makes everything look beautiful and yet it still manages to taste even better. I recommend everyone try Sweeties By Dan and definitely try the blondies if you haven't already!!

Been eyeing up this place for a long time and it definitely lived up to expectations. The cookie tasted like nostalgia, like a shared lunch cookie that someone’s mum made! So simple but nailed it. The cupcakes icing quite sweet but great range and super cute. We also got a caramel bowl which was super sweet and really big, probably wouldn’t get again but wanted to try. Would highly recommend going and trying everything! The service was ok, expected more considering it wasn’t busy when we went in. Must visit if your a Hamilton local or happen to be here on an open day.

I do NOT recommend.!!!!! Slices old, dry, split and curling at the edges, see latest posted photos. They looked about a week old. My 76 year old frail mother had been fasting 2 days for hospital appointment & was starving by early afternoon, she took one look and refused to buy anything from this place.! Owner was nice initially and greeted us on arrival, but got really upset when I took photos of the food. Got her husband to follow me out to my car where he confronted me and demanded deletion of photo proof. He got very angry, when I said I did Google Reviews, and stood threateningly close, shouting at me until she joined him, she apparently recorded my numberplate and threatened to call police, I simply wished them a good day & left, VERY thankful I didn't purchase anything.

Food is horrible. Pie pastry wasn't cooked properly and the filling was just eating garlic. The sandwich was soggy. Very over priced for the quality of the food. Wouldn't recommend better spending your money on food that is more tasteful and better quality than here.

Third time in a row poor food quailty, I threw it away, they will sell you food from previous days, hard a a brick. Have reported to public health..Avoid them

Mince and cheese pie was ok not great but ok. No cheese tho. Custard Square was so stale the custard was dry and hard on the outside and tasted off. Yuck.

Went to get some donuts today to take to work for morning tea . Left work early so I could get there before the advertised time of closing (2.30) only to find they had closed over 1.5 hours earlier than advertised. when checking the web site it was still saying it was open. very annoyed and disappointed. It is my last two days at this place and will not have a chance to come back before I leave. No donuts for us tomorrow. it is not the first time I have had this happen here as well. Mamma's donuts it is then...............

Called in to get a chocolate and custard donut which were absolutely delicious. The guy that worked their was so friendly and respectful and he even gave an extra free donut for my granddaughter. I highly recommend this shop.

I'll start with, wow. I would push the boat out and say the best sausage roll and mince and cheese pie I've had in Hamilton or anywhere for that matter. Roast vegie focaccia was a banger according to my partner. Coffee was really good too. Great atmosphere at MADE. 5 stars from us.

Best place to go for hot bread items in Hamilton East. We often get the turmeric onion loaf to have as cheese toasties or the brioche to turn into French toast. Though we have bought the plain croissants on occasion. Their cronuts are so yum, and their beef pies are so flavourful. Hot cross bun season, we only buy from here. Great for a quick lunch or to go towards a brunch at home.

Personally I don’t understand the hype. The food is tasty, but quite expensive. The coffees are a hit or miss, depends on which barista is on. And also expensive for what you get. The service is subpar. Which makes the whole experience feel very transactional. A few occasions I think I would have preferred to use a self service machine, which is saying something because I despise those machines.
