We wanted to drink a couple of cocktails and this place popped up on the map. Got to say, was very interesting seeing that they have a dress code, this is not something that you see all day. We had 2 raspberry gin that were decent taste and well done. To be honest we waited a little too long for them and the place was not full, most of the tables were empty. Anyway the place looks great on the inside, a little dark with a touch of mistery and nice design. I would recommend this place for drinks!

Super nice place, with elegant and courteous bartenders. You feel like you moved back in time to 1920s. Tasty drinks as well, but the interior is the highlight. Very small in terms of sitting, so if you're more than 2 people, it can be a struggle to seat.

Peter and Peter were excellent bartenders and the folks at the bar were also great to be around and socialize with, until it got later into the night about 2 hours before closing and two Serbian thugs/idiots/clowns entered the establishment and just brought down the vibes, they attempted to start confrontations with people sitting at the bar and threatened people who stood in the way of the bar (it’s a very small location so not much room) basically lovely place until undesirables entered. I guess I shouldn’t have expected the bartender to throw them out but for such an expensive and seemingly classy spot they didn’t really have much to back it up other than music and expensive cocktails. You’re not missing out if you don’t visit here.

A tiny bar dating back to 1908 designed by an architect called Loos hence the name. About 6 x 4 m in size inside, the use of lighting and mirrors gives the impression that the bar is bigger. There are also seats outside. Cocktails in range of €12.50 to €16 or €17. We paid in cash though I think there is a minimum spend of €30 on cards.

It was a busy Friday night and Valentine's Day but we were warmly greeted by the staff and given a spot at the bar. The service was kind, friendly and efficient. We enjoyed two drinks and a shot each. Each one was better than the last, but all so good! The atmosphere was lively and classy. They never stopped refilling our complimentary water and peanuts. The drink menu was elaborate but they make each cocktail with care. We really enjoyed the overall experience. Although it was pricey I would say for the special occasion and the premium service it was definitely worthwhile. We would like to return.

Amazing bar with a warm, vibrant atmosphere and great jazz music — they even played some Michael Jackson! The drinks were fantastic, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I’ve been to more bars than I can count — from hole-in-the-wall cocktail joints to world-famous speakeasies — and Kleinod is one of the very best I’ve ever experienced. The space is elegant without being pretentious, the vibe is dialed in, and the drinks are top-tier. But what really made the night was Conrad. Conrad is, without exaggeration, the best bartender I’ve ever encountered. I’m an amateur mixologist and former bartender myself, and I’ve never seen someone so effortlessly intuitive behind the bar. I barely had to say a word — he just knew what I’d love. Every cocktail he made was absolutely perfect — balanced, thoughtful, creative. His presence, pacing, and precision were just… next level. If you’re in Vienna and you love cocktails, do not miss this place. And if you’re lucky enough to be served by Conrad, settle in — you’re in for something rare.

This is just a really fun and friendly bar. The drinks are tasty and innovative, the staff super friendly, and a great soundtrack too. One of the nicest bars I have ever been in.

Great place for delicious cocktails, unique atmosphere, worth the price!

I went to Kleinod hoping to celebrate my birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The bouncer told us the place was full, and when we asked if we could wait or come back later, he instead suggested we try “the next Kleinod” 200 meters away. It was heavily raining, and as tourists we walked there only to discover there was no other Kleinod nearby just an empty alley. It felt like a dishonest way of turning us away rather than simply being upfront. I had really looked forward to spending the evening there, but the way we were treated left a very poor taste.

Service quality: The waitress who served my table — and who happened to be from my own country — was particularly disappointing in attitude and professionalism. • Birthday handling: Even when my friend arranged a surprise cake, staff didn’t acknowledge my birthday at all. Didn’t even say happy birthday! • Management: From my perspective, the manager did not handle service standards well, which reflected in the whole experience. • Overall impression: Amazing location and views wasted by unwelcoming service, overpriced food, and poor leadership.

Hard to feel the atmosphere when being put in a corner like a child that did something wrong. The host was a joke, rude and full of himself.. Note that if you leave a reservation near the date of your visit of the restaurant you wont get a desired seat with a nice view of the cathedral. As he explained, people reserve it 2 months ahead of time and for that reason your reservation is worth less. You can still take cool photos if you walk up to other people’s tables 😉 Ps food is actually alright 👍

Although we went there with a reservation, we couldn’t get a near window table because we reserved the same day. But anyway, the view of this restaurant is fantastic and you can’t miss it. The food was high quality. I tried almost every sushi and I liked the spicy one. The salad was also creative and tasty. Shrimps and dumplings were also perfectly cooked. The staff were nice and helpful.

I have to say, I was amazed by this place for so many reasons. Before going, I had seen a lot of negative reviews online, people complaining about the price, the service, or being disappointed overall. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go, but we decided to give it a try for our wedding anniversary, and I’m so glad we did. We had a window table, and the view was absolutely stunning, watching the cathedral across the street was the perfect backdrop. The food was 10/10, seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. The service was amazing—super helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable about everything they serve. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. What I learned from this trip is not to pay too much attention to bad reviews. I don’t know what people expect, but my experience was incredible. For someone who travels a lot, this is definitely a restaurant I highly recommend and one I would happily return to if I go back to Vienna. Also it’s super easy to get a taxi around this area. By the way, I don’t have pictures of the food or us because we decided to just enjoy the occasion and the view, and I’m so glad we did.

I would go here again and again!! Totally recommend. The view was beautiful, the service was on top and the girls that served us were the best. The sushi was freshly made and super delicious. You could even see them making it, so everything was transparent. A little expensive but for the place and quality i think its okay.

I need everyone who is looking for a review to take a look at this. This restaurant genuinely surprised me and having such a good experience at a restaurant these days feels impossible. Even for my 18th birthday i decided to travel to Milan,Italy and dine at a very "good" restaurant. Every expensive restaurant treats their customers superficially but this was not the case. Me and my friend really wanted a window seat and we were willing to wait for them to free a table in that area and they did. The waiters were extremely nice and very communicative. Regarding the food: I always tend to go to places that offer me a bigger food portion but i was pleasently surprised when it came to this culinary experience. The portions were small but they definitely satisfied my taste buds! I am a cook myself and I can really say that the taste of everything was so balanced and just perfect. For desert , we had a chocolate mousse. The taste was incredibly delicate. It takes good experience in the culinary field to appeciate the fine taste of everything Onyx has to offer. Regarding the hospitality: We met a romanian waiter that was so communicative and genuinely had a good time interracting with people. I hate it when the staff of a restaurant acts like a robot but this was not the case. We had a good conversation with the staff of the restaurant and that genuinely made our night so memorable. In conclusion I would absolutely recommend Onyx for any special occasion.

This was a delicious meal, great atmosphere and stunning view. I would wholeheartedly recommend the popcorn shrimp (we ended up ordering a second) and my drink (the golden raspberry) was an event of its own. We didn’t feel rushed through our meal and when we asked our server to take a photo he recommended we go outside for a better view. Would absolutely return!

What an outstanding bar! My husband and I are savvy cocktail drinkers, and we immediately fell in love with Miranda. The place is beautifully designed, and the menu's graphic design alone could earn a 5 star review. The cocktails are tasty, colorful, and one of a kind. It's clear that the owners put a great deal of thought and soul into each creation. The staff is the sweetest and offered us a free drink as we left. We had the best time of our stay in Vienna, and time flew by as we kept ordering drinks. There will definitely be a next time, as Miranda now holds a special place in our hearts ♥️

When trying to find places to check out in Vienna, I knew I had to try this place seeing as we share a name. I was very pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed it here. They have a super cool and hip vibe going with very interesting cocktails on the menu. I tried the Beetlejuice and enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly and were wonderful. Bartender for sure has talent and knows how to make a drink. Glad a bar that shares my name is a place I’d recommend and go back to. Depending on your price point range for beverages though, this might not be the place for. It is still a cool, one slow sip drink place to stop in at.

Looking modest from the street, this place has quite a surprise waiting for you. The warm welcome from people inside, even as I showed up a few minutes ahead of time, was unbelievable, since the other bar nearby had turned us down. I got my drinking water, and snacks as soon as I parked myself on the bar stool. Chilled beer, and a cocktail for my friend, followed without much delay. Mr. Tilly @Duketilly and Ms. Berit at @bar_miranda were amazing hosts who made us feel the warmth right away.

I used to love this place but they don’t have my favorite cocktails on the menu anymore. The two I tried this time were really underwhelming. „The most unusual Gin & Tonic“ tasted just like every other gin & tonic. And service was very slow.

The place and the atmosphere are wonderful, unfortunately the waitress is extremely unpleasant. She makes pressure to leave the bar as soon as possible, she is also very unpleasant whenever you ask her something. She also asks you several times to leave her a tip, and if you don't agree, you have to leave the bar. It's a shame because the place is really different, but I don't think I'll be coming back here anytime soon.

The food is wonderful, tasty, and well prepared. The atmosphere is amazing. I had a great seat with a wonderful view. There's only one area that was a little disappointing, and I'll categorize it as service, but don't think it was the fault of my server. A full 40 minutes passed between my starter course and main dish. If the restaurant were packed, I could maybe understand that kind of time gap, but occupancy was perhaps 50%. So I don't understand so much time passed between courses. It was such an uncomfortably long time that it impacted my overall enjoyment, which is too bad, because the restaurant was nailing everything else.

Booked the LOFT IN LOVE package following a proposal and I honestly could not fault Das Loft. Our server Toby was attentive and made sure everything was absolutely perfect. If you’re planning an engagement dinner, I would highly recommend this wonderful place. The food, the service, the ambience and the view was faultless.

We made a reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had high expectations for both the food and the overall experience. On the positive side, the restaurant is beautiful—stylishly decorated, with very comfortable chairs and amazing views of the city. At night, the rooftop lights create a stunning atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, which we really appreciated. When we made the reservation, we were asked if we were celebrating something—I mentioned our anniversary—but unlike someone at a nearby table who got a little birthday cake, we didn’t get anything at all. It’s not that we expected much, but it did feel like we were kind of overlooked. When you’re spending that much on a special night out, it’s a bit disappointing to see others being acknowledged and not you. We also chose the wine pairing menu. Some of the wines were delicious, while others weren’t really to our taste. If you enjoy discovering new wines from small producers, it’s a fun experience—the explanations were interesting too. But if you want to be sure you enjoy every glass, you might be better off choosing your own wine. As for the food, it was a bit hit-and-miss. The pork belly, the bread and butter, dessert, and the sides were all really good. But the main issue was with the steaks. We ordered one medium rare and one medium well, and although they were served cut in different sizes (which made us think they’d been cooked accordingly), both turned out to be well done. That was disappointing. On top of that, the sauce was overly salty—luckily the creamy gnocchi and cauliflower on the side helped balance it out. All in all, it was a nice evening with beautiful views and good service, but I’m not sure I’d go back. For the price, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations.

After trying fine dining in Bratislava at UFO, I decided to check this place out in Vienna since I kept seeing the ceiling lights always at night across the street at Schwedenplatz. Not only it was more expensive (because Vienna, duh 🙄) but the service didn't feel quite the same. Usually a wet napkin is provided at the beginning, before receiving your meals which was not provided and when I asked one of the waiters I received normal ones at least. Moreover, one of the managers and waitress was quick to see my dissatisfaction with the smoked leek dish since I had misunderstood what kind of dish it was based on a wrong assumption from Google Images (the vegetarian ingredients were messing my stomach). They were able to change my Starter to a beef tartare which was much better and I didn't get charged for the smoked leek (since I only tasted it a little). The rest was alright. For most people, I think that this place is usually more ideal for drinks. Moreover, I wish that they have implemented the food logos that you usually find in most restaurants in Vienna, that way it is easier to distinguish what kind of dish it is and what meat it contains. Maybe I will visit it again in the future and hope that my suggestions are taken into consideration 🙂.

It's a rooftop bar located on top of Ritz Carlton Hotel. In my opinion it has not so clear view. Mostly roofs of other buildings with slight cathedral tower. It's a FCFS basis and usually long wait time around sunset. Service is quick and responsive. We had to wait for almost an hour to sit (and yes missed the sunset). Staff kindly offered complementary infused water to the waiting crowd. It's on a mezzanine on top floor with stairs so no accessible.

Went here during a late afternoon to have a whisky. The view is fabulous. Seating is limited but comfortably spaced out. And the service was 5 star. Generally, the experience is Ritz Carlton-esque, so you can expect a classy experience. To get here: you would go into the Ritz Carlton, and take the elevator up.

It’s a unique atmosphere just near the Stephansdom and beautiful city view. View is charming either with daylight or during the night. They are serving signature cocktails either very generous amount. We’ve booked a table at outside and loved it. However we couldn’t enjoy that much with a table inside because of the loud music and an unleash t smell of every single dish.

Extremely hard to find a table even during the week. They don’t accept reservations for group under 5. The staffs carry abit of attitude possibly because of the bar’s popularity. Everything else is good.

Unbelievably fantastic bar with spectacular service and amazing drinks. No menu, the bartenders ask questions about your preferences, or construct drinks based on your experiences. In my case, the bartender delivered exactly what I had in mind, based on the description of a memory of mine. The atmosphere is fantastic, perfect to go alone and acquaint yourself with others. The drinks are exceedingly expensive, in my opinion slightly too expensive. But, you get what you pay for, and it's well worth the experience. It's definitely worth a visit as it's probably one of the best bars in the world.

I really liked the concept of a speakeasy without a set menu. You arrive at an unmarked, inconspicuous door, ring the bell, and are welcomed by a bartender who lets you in. Once seated, you’re served popcorn and asked what kind of drink you’d like. There’s no menu — just be creative and say whatever you’re in the mood for. I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised.

Hands down the best bar I've been to in my life. No menus, just Gerry and his team who know what you need. Describe your ideal drink, that feeling you had when you first fell in love, a winter walk by the seaside and they will sort you out. Artisanal cocktail craft at it's finest. If bars had Michelin stars Tür 7 would have three!

The hidden location was nice, but wish it was more of a speakeasy puzzle vibe. The interior was nice and cozy and the bespoke drinks were truly bespoke and delicious. However, the price was a little steep. I do not recommend going with a large group. Maybe 2-5 people at the most. Staff was very professional and clever with their mixology and created truly unique drinks for each person. It was impressive how they shared exactly what went into each drink and how it was mixed for each person. Despite such a large group, the wait time was very short.

To your taste buds personalized cocktails, very comfy atmosphere, nice chatty hosts. This is not a standard bar but a very personal experience! I like. I come back!

This place is very nice and has a truly authentic bar atmosphere. We visited three times. The beers were excellent, the Riesling was delicious, and the food was good. The Wiener schnitzel and sausages were tasty. The staff were fine, but the bathrooms were not very clean — that’s the weak point of this place. Overall, I recommend it for its good atmosphere and as a nice spot to enjoy classic Austrian food.

Really excellent beer, food options were decent. Food was tasty with reasonable prices, range of seating options (outside area, bar area and inside upstairs seating area). As it was a nice evening outside seating was packed, the bar area inside felt like more of a drinking place. Upstairs dining area was nice and calm. Service was polite and speedy.

We had lunch here today. We sat outside near the bushes, a very pleasant experience. The waitresses were very pleasant, and they worked very quickly and efficiently. 1516 Brewing Company is one of my favorite spots in Vienna, and it never disappoints. You can sit downstairs in the bar area for a lively, energetic atmosphere or head upstairs to the more family-friendly dining area. Both are great depending on your mood. The food is consistently excellent. It’s my number one place in the city for wings and ribs. I’ve never been a big fan of blue cheese, but theirs is so good that I actually order two with my wings and potato wedges. The BBQ sauce is flavorful without being spicy. It’s also a perfect place to watch basketball and grab drinks with friends. Great food, great vibe, and always a good time. Highly recommended!

This was an amazing restaurant as an american tourist. I got a little flavor of the south and has some baby back ribs. With some potatoes and coleslaw and absolutely fantastic beer. The vibes was nice, and the atmosphere was great. And the service was fantastic. They were open till 1:00am local time, so it was pretty great that they were open.

1516 is one of those places in Vienna that you keep coming back to—not for the service, but for the beer and atmosphere. The house brews are solid, with a few standouts you won’t easily find elsewhere in the city. The vibe is energetic, international, and always full—which says a lot. That said, the staff knows this place will be packed no matter what, and unfortunately, some of them act like it. A few waiters just walk past you, barely making eye contact, sometimes even purposefully ignoring you. It can be frustrating, especially when you’re standing there ready to order or trying to ask a question. The food? Classic pub fare—nothing special, but it does the job if you’re hungry while enjoying your drink. I wouldn't go there for the €17.00 cocktails. They are extremely sweet and taste very similar to each other for the two that I had. Plus, when I explained what I liked to the barman, he obviously didn't understand. Just like the waitress didn't understand, they couldn't really recommend a cocktail to suit my tastes. It makes me think they really shouldn't be working in an environment where they can't advise their customers well enough. However, the setting is very nice, the view is very nice. Maybe go there and order something standard like a beer or a wine and then you know what you're getting. I also had to work to get the attention of the server.

Quite crowded, it is better have a reservation when you go for a sunset view. The drink there is not bad. But the staff always focused on her computer, she did not aware the customers were calling her.

Great atmosphere, great views of vienna above 16th story. Nice range of drinks and bar bites. Definitely worth the visit. Staffs are not well trained compared to to other Andaz hotels in Asia or Middle East, definitely lacks hospitality training. But overall is a great place to hang out with friends or colleagues.

Here for pre-Opera cocktails. Lovely interiors. I probably would’ve enjoyed my experience more with a glass of vino. I asked for a recommendation that’d be perfectly paired with the infamous cake. It was just way tooooo sweet to my liking. As for the cake, I’ve never had such a popular, world-renowned cake as dry as this one.

Accustomed to high-class hotels, I was very surprised that the waiters asked for a tip in a rather inelegant manner when it came time to pay. I was sad to see this type of behaviour and the fact that employees are manifestly underpaid. I remember from my many visits as a child that the Sacher used to be a luxury hotel.

My favorite cocktail bar in the city! Such a stunning and atmospheric place, with amazing drinks and Jacob being incredibly kind and friendly. We had a fantastic time, truly unforgettable!

I really enjoyed my time at Blaue Bar. The place is beautiful, the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Jacob, one of the staff members, was especially lovely—very friendly and attentive. The only downside was one male staff member with glasses who seemed a bit unwelcoming. Overall, still a great spot and definitely worth visiting.

the place is immaculate, but sacher cake is dry and hard, we couldn’t cut it with a fork, the chocolate flew out of the plate. cocktails were distasteful as well. we had french connection and blue negroni. but the atmosphere was gorgeous.

It is one of the happiest places on earth, perfect to spent an evening with friends or at the wooden bar (table) itself. Crafty signature drinks, good old bar classics and modern twists on those. In doubt what to choose, just ask the outstanding service personnel or the skillful bar tender. They know what they're doing, you can sit back and enjoy!

I’ve been there a couple of times already and really love the atmosphere and vibe. You can go there simply for an afterwork drink or for a casual date with someone. Staff was very friendly, especially the woman with short hair (unfortunately I don’t know her name).

To be honest, a bit dissapointing? The drinks were ok, but just ok. The vibe is inconsistent and feels outdated. The service is very nice, but prices - steep, outdated menu, serving tap water in soda stream bottles… not consistent with the menu and some other aspects. Menu should be refreshed both in design and drink selection, water should be served in something else, I think by the prices of the drinks and how full the bar gets that should be possible.

Unbelievable atmosphere, cozy yet uplifting. Cocktails are delicious, wonderful and super creative but surprisingly well balanced. A plus: the great attention to details in everything, from the furniture to the presentation of cocktails and longdrinks, to the rare stuff well dislocated all around the Bar. Suuuuuper super super expensive I have to say, especially coming from Italy, but it's got that special spark to it that legitimates the prices. Bringing free fresh water along with the drinks is something I had never seen and I really appreciate. 6 stars.

What an amazing hidden gem. There is no name outside the door. We had to go through google photos to look at the door handle and compare. An interesting story about the place was that it was an old illegal jazz bar. Now, it is an amazing cocktail bar. They also serve bar snacks. Amazing and attentive staff, good music, friendly locals. I would highly recommend this place and go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for having us.

We went on a Thursday night as it opened. We thought we had found the bar for our holiday as the ambiance was amazing with candlelit tables and a massive bar. However, we ordered cocktails at insane prices which were incredibly strong and to be frank mine tasted of sick. The drinks menu didn’t offer much. Oh well I thought, I’ll ask for food. I asked and he said he wasn’t doing food with no explanation as to why. The service was very slow and you basically had to beg to be served and we waited 30 minutes for the bill. Quite disappointed really as the vibe of the bar was really nice.

Been a few times. I like the drinks and the vibe inside but the door staff tend to make a fuss. Asking if you have reserved then calling downstairs and asking if there's space. Then sometimes they let you go down and it's essentially empty with 3-4 customers. Last time they said we could come back and try again in 3 hours 😂 they like to play 'important'

Krypt is truly one of Vienna’s best-kept secrets — a hidden gem with a fantastic ambiance. The underground setting is stylish and intimate, making it perfect for a relaxed evening or a special night out. The cocktails are creative, the music fits the mood, and the overall vibe is just spot on. Would absolutely come back again!

I would definitely recommend a visit to this bar whether you are a local or tourist. The atmosphere was super cool and had a great vibe with tons of different seating areas with great decor. Drinks were delicious! I really enjoyed the Bollywood martini! It was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. I would highly suggest having reservations because it gets quite crowded quickly. However, if you aren’t able to, try getting there around little before opening to see if they can squeeze you in.

Its a really cool place, tucked away out of sight. Shame literally every other aspect of it is a complete letdown Cocktails are combinations of incredibly strong spirits, which does seem to be common in Austria. To summarise they taste dreadful. I’ll not get further into that. The alternatives are poor at best. 100ml measures of wine for 7-9€ or two choices of bottled beers. What is the point? They seem to ‘sometimes’ do food if they can be bothered? What is that? Really unprofessional, either do it or don’t. You are looked at funny and often turned away if you try to order at the bar but its massively unclear as you will wait upwards of 15-20 minutes to be served when you sit down as there seems to be only one waiter at any time, so its an effort to try and flag him down if you spot him at all. Not to mention it’s really overpriced when you consider all this and the fact the toilets smell like something out of a car park is disgusting really. Looks good but give it a miss.

Really cool cocktail bar with speak easy vibes. The entrance is a bit hard to figure out and the bar is located on basement level with stone walls and arches. It is quite a big space with multiple seating areas and options. The music was very nice and not too loud. Cocktails were also really good. Friendly and fast service. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a cocktail.

99 colorful LED lights on the pitch-black ceiling can be controlled by the guests with a remote control. Another specialty is the “cocktail machines”; they were welded together from old flea market junk. Guests can pour their cocktails. Trendy bar with friendly service! Would definitely go back

Nice quirky bar built in a former brothel. They make excellent cocktails and have a good choice of fancy whiskey. Music is good, atmosphere is chill, it's rarely visited by others than locals. Watch out,this is a smoking place

It's kind of a must if you visit Vienna. Great view of Saint Stephen's cathedral. A bit pricey. But the food is good and the atmosphere is good as well. The service is nice.

Beautiful restaurant and views. Drinks were better than the food. The meatballs were good but needed more sauce. The pistachio pasta was a huge let down. Sounded good but tasted like unsalted cream.

It's a nice bar with interesting atmosphere:) it's so popular, that you can book the table for maximum one hour and half. The waiters are attractive/ handsome and professional. They all talk English, so I recommend to come with your friends-tourists.

Phenomenal view & service from this rooftop bar. There’s a hidden entrance/ no obvious signage from the street. Just hop in the lift and head to the top floor. We were lucky and managed to get a table just walking in - but booking is definitely recommended as it’s a popular spot. Staff were really nice and friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced given the central location and the views. And yes, the views were incredible and worth the visit alone. There’s an amazing chilled vibe with ambient music, the perfect spot to chill and relax. Highly recommended.

Love, love, love this rooftop bar! We visited this Rooftop Bar for a few evening drinks and to soak in the stunning view of St. Stephen’s Cathedral — and it did not disappoint! The setting was absolutely perfect. We caught both the late sunshine and a gorgeous sunset. The views from up here are fantastic and atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed. We spent a few hours enjoying drinks and light snacks while taking in the scenery. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stylish rooftop spot with great vibes and unbeatable views!

Avoid this rooftop bar at all costs! Really disappointed. I went to Lamée Rooftop yesterday with my mum to celebrate my birthday. She called in the morning to make a reservation and asked if they could prepare a small birthday gesture, like writing “Happy Birthday” next to a dessert. The staff on the phone said it was possible, maybe with an extra charge and we agreed. When we arrived, my mum reminded them again. One waiter said it wasn’t possible. She asked another one, who brought the manager over. The manager said they couldn’t do candles but would definitely prepare “something small.” We stayed for over two hours, had two rounds of drinks and nothing ever came. No birthday surprise, no follow-up, nothing. Terrible communication and service. We chose this place because they said yes on the phone. If they had just said no, we would’ve gone somewhere else. Not coming back. Not recommended.

Wonderful location on the rooftop, and excellent service by our waitress. The drinks options were plenty and quite enjoyable. The food, while only finger food options, was also very good. Wonderful experience and view.

Great concept, delicious food, attention to detail and a lovely team! Everything looks very neat, and the fact that you can see the kitchen from the outside really builds trust in the process. We chose the chef’s menu, which included several dishes, some from the regular menu and some off-menu. We discussed our allergies/intolerances as well as our time constraints (we had about 1.5 hours, actually a bit less). We were assured that the full menu would be served within this time. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to get through all the courses and had to skip one of the intermediate dishes. To their credit, it was removed from our bill without any issue. Still, the pacing was slower than expected, so towards the end we felt a bit rushed. That said, the food was truly excellent, and the service was wonderful, apart from the timing, which didn’t quite match our plan. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience and would definitely come back. I’d happily recommend it to friends as well. P.S: not all the dishes we had are on the pictures.

These guys are knocking it out of the park. Lively, super fun, inviting atmosphere. You feel like a member of the family. Cocktails- made by a master. Hands down, best tequila in Europe. Food is savory, flavor punch. All local, fresh. Terrific use of fermented flavor punch. High regards for the chef & kitchen team!!! Owners and waitsraff are attentive, fun and happy to serve you. Fun outdoor patio is hopping with late night diners. Highly recommend the 6 course tasting menu. Small plates, reasonably priced so you dont walk away feeling stuffed.

We had a great evening at Bruder. We opted for the 6 course chef's choice menu and it was amazing, inventive dishes, all with an interesting twist and everything was simply delicious. Longdrinks were also extraordinary and special. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Will definitely recommend this place!

Incredibly unique food. Each dish had a delicious modern spin on Austrian favorites. Highly suggest the Chef’s Tasting menu. We thoroughly enjoyed each dish. Our waiter Jakob was attentive, descriptive, and super friendly. He read the vibe perfectly and had amazing insights and suggestions. He also described in great detail each dish, and how the chef’s ferment, pickle, bake, and perfectly prepare each ingredient from scratch. Cool location in a beautiful alley! Cocktails were world class - expertly balanced with super unique twists.

What a gem! Found this place by coincidence and were blown away. Easily one of the nicest dining experiences in recent memory. We had the chef's dinner which is a set course menu with amazing dishes. A highlight was the options of a mixed drinks pairing. This was a fun twist on the usual wine pairing. They offered great cocktails but also interesting choices like home made kombucha. They generously fill your glasses so be prepared but you will have plenty of food so that's a safe combination. We especially loved the vegan oyster or the poppy seed udon noodles as a fun twist on an Austrian specialty. The place is cozy and dimly lit providing an intimate and lovely space for a diner for two. The staff was amazing and overall a totally inviting and forthcoming crowd. Definitely going to be back here.

10/10 experience. We got the 6 course dinner without the drink pairing, the food was super diverse and really fantastic- not just presentation wise but also in terms of taste. Though the place was packed staff were super attentive to us. Drinks came quick. We loved all the special flavors of sirups and fermented things they included. Honestly an overall fantastic meal.

Probably the best restaurant we have tried in Vienna. Usually it takes weeks in advance for reserving a table. We were lucky to have got a table when we put ourselves on the waiting list. It serves modern fusion Austrian food. There’s not a dish we didn’t like. Perhaps only the dessert is the least impressive dish. The tastiness of many dishes are enhanced with pickled and fermented products. Definitely it’s a must-try restaurant in Vienna if you enjoy gastronomy.

They had some nice summer specials that were just right for hot weather- different salads. The fruit drinks were good and not too sweet. The service was good but slow- it took me time to get something I needed from time to time. But they are friendly and willing to serve. The apple strudel was good. It was worth getting. I have had better but definitely it was good. The whipped cream is not real whipped cream but it tasted good. I also like that the restaurant is at street level as that was convenient with my special needs son. The walls have posters of current and past things going on in the city. It is fun to look around and see them and see what this city puts together for entertainment.

Came here for the Apple Strudel, reach about 7.30pm. Still has few tables available, no waiting is required. The Goulash soup is nice. Apple strudel filling is fabulous but the sweetness level is slightly at the over sweet (as I prefer less sweet). One thing I recommend the restaurant is to install some fan to keep the air circulated or switch on the air conditioner, as we are sweating & most other customers also fan for air. Waiter told me tips is a must for this restaurant.

It’s a good place overall: the food was tasty and the schnitzel was really good: crispy and with a thin batter. That said, it’s a bit pricier than average. They seem to target tourists by automatically adding a 10% tip, and even tap water costs €0.80. Because of those things, it doesn’t feel like a great place to me. But if you don’t mind the extra charges, the food itself is definitely tasty!

We took part in a guided tour and our guide Michael recommended this place and because he was born in Vienna and obviouslyhas lived here so we followed his advice. Great atmosphere, awesome food and such a helpful waiter who patiently survived my basic German. We ate schnitzel, kartifeln, drank a lot of water and Wiener coffee. I can recommend it as well. It was worth visiting.

I came in around noon, had a breakfast maybe one of the best Eggs Hollandaise I've had 🥰 The staff are nice, the atmosphere is cozy and rustic. The authenticity of this place is a charm! They also have posters on all the upcoming events, good catch!

Kaffee Alt Wien certainly delivers on the authentic, old-school Viennese coffee house atmosphere—the setting is the best part of the experience. We were seated immediately and the server was pleasant, though not particularly warm. I ordered the Schnitzel to try the local fare. The preparation was technically correct (the coating separated, indicating hot oil), but the dish itself was unfortunately not that good and felt quite average. Given the quality of the meal, it's not cheap here. For the price point and overall value, I won’t be coming back again. Come only if the historic, non-touristy atmosphere is your main priority.

We planned to check out the other famous restaurant then pumped into this one. It’s actually a good choice that we have the table right away with great service and very nice waiter. Recommended option when you are nearby in Vienna

Absolutely love the vibe of this bar. It’s so chic, but modern vintage. It’s a small bar tucked away in the center if the city. The cocktails are one of the best I’ve ever had. A definite visit if you’re in Vienna.

I haven't even left yet and this has been an amazing experience. It may be an "American" bar, but I'm from the US and have lived in some of it's greatest cities and this puts most of them to shame. Elegant and cozy decor w delightful glassware. Solid cocktails from the Dale DeGroff school of bartending. Charming staff and the snacks are a first class touch! Great location so if you are in Vienna and you miss this place it is a mistake.

The best cocktail bar I've ever been to. This place is excellent. I would go to an American cocktail bar abroad normally but this place is far better than what you'd expect. The bartenders are well trained and the atmosphere is amazing.

Really good drinks, service and atmosphere! We loved how the drinks are presented (e.g., in a “bible” that dedicates each long drink an one-pager) and truly enjoyed every sip of our cocktails. No doubt: 5 out of 5 stars is very well deserved and we will be back for more!

What a cozy place for a cocktail. It's a little pricey but they are delicious. Feel free to ask the waiter for advice. Because of this we took another 1, but it was delicious.

When we walked in, they gave us (free!) ice water and (free!) small snacks. AND they have air conditioning in blazing hot summer weather. Cocktails were amazing, and bartenders really know their stuff. Coming back again tomorrow!

This bar is top notch. A series of things really impressed us. To start off.. The staff was super welcoming as we walked through the door. Then they were actively tracking tables emptying and prioritizing standing guests in order to move them to a more comfortable space. The menu is daunting...BUT... Talk to the staff!!! They know their drinks. I ordered the first round off the menu and then went blind for the next two rounds, all I did was have a very short convo with our server and she sorted out the next two rounds, which were spot on. It's impressive that the staff has just as much knowledge as the mixologists. The liquor is top shelf! Which is a priority when delving into the art of mixology!. The snacks were on point. We ordered as we had missed dinner and needed something to keep us going. Attention to details is amazing. It's an Apothecary.... The uniforms match. Well played :) Soft wooden tones with speakeasy tunes through the night. All in all our most pleasent experience in Vienna. Bars around the world.... Take note!

This place is serious mixology! And a lovely ambiance. Staff is super friendly, English speaking, and customized our cocktails to our personal likings. You will NOT be disappointed! If it’s not on your usual path… it’s with the detour!

Very nice cocktail bar with chilled atmosphere. They have a big list of interesting cocktails and if you want to have something that is not on the menu also no problem. They also mix it for you. Cocktails are balanced nicely and not so sweet as you maybe know it from other locations. All in all I had there a very nice evening. It's a very good idea to make a reservation before you go there Is always quite full.

Great vibe and staff. Unfortunately one of the most pretentious and overdone cocktail menus I’ve ever seen. Less is more sometimes. Was overwhelmed so asked for a custom cocktail, which was just average, and not worth €19.50. But the staff were very nice and they mentioned they would be happy to adjust the cocktail which was appreciated.

Great experience at Dino’s, with an extensive menu (including rare and twists on classics), great service and comfortable ambiance. Heinz, Martin and rest of the staff were very kind and hospitable to me and my siblings. I will return when visiting Vienna again

Kleinod Prunkstück was a great cocktail bar, among the best I've ever been to. The space is trendy and sleek without feeling pretentious — just great energy all around, with good music and an upscale-but-fun atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I wasn’t sure what to order, but they asked about my preferences and made excellent recommendations. I started with the Honki Tonki, which was creative and well-balanced, and then followed with an off-menu whiskey sour with egg white, which was perfectly executed. Service, setting, and cocktails were all top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stylish and approachable cocktail bar in the city.

Great atmosphere for a well made drink but pricing is very high. Adding 3 totaling 19 euro to change from Tanqueray to Bombay Sapphire for a standard dry martini is borderline abusive The kibble is nice though.

Fabulous cocktails and we went on a Sunday evening so no wait. Best part was the service by a mile, we had Martin and Anur (I’m sure I spelled this wrong so please forgive me) but they were lovely to chat with. Excellent ambience. Would happily go again 🥂

I simply love it here!!! Best place to enjoy an afterwork drink during the week or even celebrate something on the weekend. Drinks are amazing, especially the bloody mary and moscow mule (but also all others that I tried). Great own creations of shots, too. Staff very professional and courteous.

Unfortunately I forgot the name of our waitress she had blonde hair she was amazing. I felt very cared for being there. After going there a few times I can say that the service is really amazing when it’s not super busy. The vibe is great but for me the highlight was the amazing quality cocktails. I recommend you to reservate a few days in advance to make sure you get to sit and come in cause it does get busy at nights.

This place is really beautiful and the staff was super attentive and fun. We didn't know what we wanted and the bartender took care of it, we got amazing shots and since there was some left he gave it to us for free. Place is elegant and expensive but one of a king.

Had the most terrific experience here the other night. Arrived into Vienna at midnight and decided we had to go out for a drink (two girls in their late twenties). Immediately were welcomed by a lovely security guard and host and set up at a standing table. The ambiance was so warm, inviting and fun with marble tables lit from within. The drinks were fantastic - I had a bittersweet symphony and the service was absolutely incredible - we were offered free snacks, immediately given glasses of water, talked through the drinks menu together and everyone was so lovely. Best service I’ve had in a really long time, fantastic drinks and such a lovely ambiance. Will most definitely be back! Maybe even tonight 😉

Cool ambience. Friendly service, always checking if we need anything. Music not my type. Quite a hidden location. Need to pass the eatery and go down the stairs. If you‘re hungry, you need to eat somewhere first (or at the eatery, for vegetarians) before going to the Birdyard, bacause they only have drinks.

This place is absurdly beautiful and all details are well taken care of. Service is fantastic, such that a different waiter knew exactly what drink each of us ordered. Cocktails presentation is pretty austere but the flavours were delicious.

You enter through the Eatery, their restaurant, and once you walk downstairs you get into the actual bird yard. You’ll notice, because of the giant bird paintings covering all the walls. It’s getting crowded quickly, and weirdly enough, emptying out quickly again. Just wait a bit and you’ll get a seat. The staff is very helpful, sometimes you get a free delicious shot to start you off, and the cocktails are anything but your standard fare. Overall it’s a nice idea, and the drink concoctions are tasty most of the time, unfortunately nothing really stands out. No crazy creative mixtures, not relaxed neither exciting atmosphere... it’s missing that special something, despite doing nothing wrong.

The staff was astonished I needed two courses from the menu :D . I you're hungry better go and grab a kebab and then come here to enjoy the softest experience ever :D

3 Stars for the restaurant, 5 stars for the bar. The restaurant is a lot less cosy than it might look from the pictures. It's busy, loud, rather spartanic and the food - while good - is overpriced for what it is. The bar however is really nice with an upscale feel without being too expensive. I came here for the views and vibe, and was not disappointed! You can see the new and modern side of Vienna looking towards the main train station (just a few minutes walking) and the old town/city center, church steeples, rooftops and hills in the back on the other side. I recommend this on a sunny afternoon or to watch the sunset. Very friendly and outstanding service and bar keeping, great drinks!

A little pricey, but worth a visit for one drink at least to see the spectacular views across Vienna. We couldn't stay long anyway, as we had dinner reservations and concert tickets later, but at €7 a beer you'd quickly run up a big bar tab!

Café Central is one of Vienna’s most iconic coffee houses, located inside the grand Palais Ferstel on Herrengasse. Stepping inside feels like entering another era—ornate columns, vaulted ceilings, and marble interiors capture the charm of 19th-century Vienna. This café wasn’t just about coffee; it was once the meeting place for some of Europe’s greatest minds. Regulars included Sigmund Freud, Leon Trotsky, Stefan Zweig, and even Adolf Loos. You can almost feel that intellectual energy still lingering in the air. It is open from Monday–Saturday from 08:00 – 21:00 and Sunday/public holidays from 10:00 – 21:00. The nearest metro station is the U-Bahn “Herrengasse” (U3) and it’s a short walk from major sights in the first district. Reservations are accepted online for up to 6 people (via their website). Larger groups need to call in. Walk-ins are possible but during busy times expect a wait. Service is professional but can be slow, especially during peak hours. Some standout dishes: the famous Apfelstrudel, Kaiser-Schmarrn, Backhendl mit Erdäpfel-Gurkensalat and classic Viennese coffee like a Wiener Melange. Prices are a bit steep compared to local cafés. Still, the experience is absolutely worth it for the atmosphere and history.

Beautiful, beautiful cafe! But do yourself a favor and set a reservation. The line out the door, waiting for tables, was wild—with a reservation, we walked right on by! We had the einspänner, melange, apple strudel, and the warm chocolate cake. The cake was a must get! My apple strudel came out a bit cold. Wasn’t my favorite. I did see someone get the kaiserschmarrn and if I could do it over, I would 1000% get that!! Our server was lovely and attentive. It was a bit expensive, definitely cheaper cafe’s all over Vienna. But… this is obviously for tourists. So you should know what you are walking into!

Beautiful interior, very cozy place to sit down and relax over a nice cup of coffee and dessert. The Espresso served with whipped cream was excellent and very smooth. The apple strudel was one of the best I've eaten thus far. A thin crispy layer of pastry with plenty of apples, a bit of sourness combined with the sweetness of the cream, just melts in your mouth. The service was also excellent - staff very friendly and cheerful. I arrived at roughly 10AM, and only waited for roughly five minutes before being seated, but the queue might be longer closer to noon. Definitely worth the wait if not in a rush.

I visited because it's said to be one of Vienna's top three Sachertorte. There was a long line in front of the store, but I got it to go and went right away. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and kindness, which made me feel very welcome. I had it with coffee, and while it was a bit too sweet for my taste, it was perfect for a day like today when I'm tired and need a sugar boost.

I went for breakfast, and there was already a long queue outside — definitely book ahead if you don’t want to wait in the cold. The desserts are the highlight for sure: beautifully presented and genuinely delicious. The rest of the food was decent, but quite simple for the price, and you’re mostly paying for the experience rather than an exceptional meal. That said, the architecture is stunning. The high ceilings, arches, and overall interior make you feel like you’re sitting inside a historical postcard. Worth visiting at least once for the atmosphere and pastries, just go in knowing it’s more about the setting than the food.

Iconic venue in Central Vienna. Beautiful building inside and out. A short wait to get in (about 10 mins), but worth it. We ordered coffee, the amazing strudel with vanilla sauce and a slice of cream Schnitten. The waiter was really funny, professional and helpful. The atmosphere is fantastic, and has the 1800s feel to it. All the staff wear period clothing. Lovely experience. We visited around 11am on Thursday. The place looks amazing at night too.

Overall experience was nice. The building and interior is very beautiful for sure and has its historic charm. Apple strudel we had was very beautiful and tasty. However we didn’t have a reservation and ended up in a line for more than 30min (beginning of November, weekday afternoon). After having seats, the atmosphere was a bit fussy and rushed due to the high demand and I wanted to quickly eat and leave. I was very curious about their apple strudel because I have heard they had the best one in Vienna. And it was good, but it’s overestimated as most cafes in the city have equally good strudels. Overall, I’m not sure if it’s worth standing in the long line and sitting in a busy atmosphere.

I recently dined at this restaurant in the Park Hyatt hotel and while the ambiance was elegant and the service exceptional, the food didn’t quite meet expectations. The atmosphere was refined and relaxing — ideal for a special evening. Our waiter was excellent: attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. One of the highlights of the evening was the wine he recommended, which paired beautifully with the meal and elevated the overall experience. However, the food itself was a bit underwhelming. I ordered the ribeye steak medium rare, but unfortunately, it was overcooked and lacked the tenderness I was expecting. The Wiener schnitzel was also a bit dry, and the oysters were fairly standard — nothing memorable. For the price point and the reputation, I expected more from the kitchen. That said, the wonderful service and lovely setting still made the evening enjoyable. With some improvements in food execution, this could easily be a top-tier dining destination.

Elegant restaurant in Vienna We ate here with my wife, and really enjoyed it. It was not particularly expensive, neither particularly cheap. We thought it was fair value, as the quality was there. The location and setting also make it quite spectacular. That we both really enjoyed. I would definitely come back to this restaurant. Special mention to the staff they were also really nice.

This place serves the best breakfast I’ve ever had, no exaggeration. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the setting and service are pure Vienna. The dining room is the former lobby of a nineteenth century Vienna bank, modernized to perfection. We had a number of items including Eggs Benedict (including seconds) and avocado toast. The fruits and berries, especially the small strawberries, are like nothing we get in the United States. Why is the EU food chain so much better? This breakfast is reason enough to hope we can return to Vienna in the future!

Shouldn’t that always be the case? 😊 Well, life has its surprises, but not here! The restaurant is spacious, and the interior has been beautifully adapted from its banking days. It leans toward a gently fancy style - elegant but not over the top. One detail I really liked: the chefs work in the open, right in the middle of the space, with two visible stalls. If you’re seated in the right direction, you can watch them in action, which adds a nice touch of charm and liveliness. Food is served at tables toward the center, while drinks are handled closer to the bar. The spacing between tables is generous, so you can enjoy a proper conversation without feeling cramped. Now, the food and drinks. We started with cocktails - one of them a non-alcoholic mojito. Both were spot on. While sipping and soaking in the atmosphere, we admired the thoughtful design transformation. The waiter who served us was excellent - attentive but not intrusive, helpful without hovering. For starters, we had French onion soup and beef tartare. The soup portion was generous - I'd almost call it a main! And it was full of flavor. As for the tartare, we’ve had it in other places, but this one? A king among tartares. You couldn’t taste the rawness of the meat - it was incredibly smooth and refined. For the main, I went with an Austrian classic: schnitzel. It was executed to perfection - thin, crispy, and not a trace of excess oil. It came with baked baby potatoes and cucumbers salad, a perfect pairing. I couldn’t finish it all, though - the soup had already claimed some stomach real estate. Even if you try to stretch it, the stomach has its limits 😉. This place is definitely staying on my list for when I return to Vienna!

Cute, unique and chill place. We drank salty caramel latte and hot chocolate and they were very good. The atmosphere is amazing and there are a lot of books which you can read and buy.

The place has a good atmosphere if you like to read but unfortunately the customer service it’s quite bad. We ordered 2 coffees and 2 breakfast, we received the coffee few minutes later but waited around 40 minutes for the food, when the waiter actually realised that he forgot about our order and that he was gonna do it fast. As long as I heard that I understood that something was gonna be off. And it was. The food was brought 10 minutes later, and it was clearly done without giving care. The Austrian soft boiled eggs that should be soft inside were completely dry. The butter was fully melted. We paid 25 euros for the two plates you see in the picture, we expected something good quality but unfortunately it was quite poor quality and taste. I would not recommend this place, specially considering the amount of good places that Vienna offers.

I came here with my Dad on a cold evening in Vienna. Delicious Falafel with hummus and fresh high quality bread...the coffee was good too and the ambience was cosy warm and inviting. It's a great concept to have a cafe in a bookstore.

We were only passing by but I bought 2 books and explored the café / bookshop. Amazing atmosphere and the woman who was at the cash desk was extremely friendly and polite.

Stopped by around 10:30 on a Sunday night for a drink and had a really pleasant experience. The bar is located at the top of the hotel and has a lovely atmosphere—beautiful decor, a refined and elegant space that makes you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in. The service stood out as exceptional. The waiters were very attentive and quick to respond, always there when needed without being overbearing. We had some wine and a few cocktails. Their house cocktail selection leans toward lower-alcohol options, clearly designed more as aperitifs before dinner. Still, we asked for some classic cocktails instead, and the bartender did a great job preparing them. They weren’t anything groundbreaking, but they were very enjoyable and well made. Prices were fair for the setting, around €15 per drink, which felt reasonable considering the quality and service. Overall, a great spot to unwind in a beautiful setting. I’d definitely return and would recommend it to others looking for a relaxed drink in an elegant space.

Oh what a cool place to relax and have a nice brunch on a weekend… The ambience is so calming.. the staff is very helpful and kind.. We ordered a lot of food including fresh fruit smoothies, Shakshouka, Eggs Benedict, Avocado Toast, Coffee, Tea and so much more… Everything tasted good and you could tell the effort that went into the preparation of the food… The vibe is so chill.. very well lit and so much sunlight coming in… had a terrific time here…

Went here with my sister for dinner because it was highly recommended. We did not have any reservations and they were able to seat us promptly. The ambiance is absolutely stunning. It gives a classy and moody vibe. The food was ok but I was not blown away and the portions were small like most high end restaurants. I had a French 75 and the sea bass. I said to my sister, where’s the mashed potatoes lol. Otherwise it’s worth a try.

We were not wowed by the food, mostly because of the flies. Different types of flies swarmed us and other patrons during our meal in the main restaurant. At first, servers didn't believe us but eventually we were moved. The dirty flies still followed us. This left for a very unappetizing dinner. We ordered all sorts of seafood dishes and were not so impressed. The mussels were in a tasty sauce but the pommes frites were served cold and tasteless. The other seafood dishes were forgettable. Honestly, the best part of the meal was the bread and butter. The ambiance of the downstairs restaurant is very cool and chic, and the rooftop boasts a phenomenal view of Vienna, but the food is just fine and will have you wanting something more. I hope something is done about those nasty flies!

The main course of beef cheek is amazing, the ragu pasta sauce is a bit sweet and salty. The low sitting and close distance between table next to each other may be the disadvantage.may be a little not very comfortable.

Aperitifs set a graceful tone: the Muri “Passing Clouds” (non-alcoholic) was delicately complex, while the Kir Royal offered classic sparkle. The standout Peach Bernard cocktail — bourbon, walnut oil, peach espuma, vanilla, and lemon — was both creative and indulgent. Starters impressed: the Figs au Gratin combined chèvre, rosemary, honey, and nuts into a warm, textured dish that felt both rustic and elegant. The vegan gazpacho was crisp and refreshing, a perfect counterbalance. For mains, the roasted trout shone with lobster butter, braised tomato, and sauce rouille — subtle yet luxurious. The grilled broccoli (vegan) with muhammara, cashews, and a wild rice croustillant was bold, flavorful, and satisfying. Finally can be said: A dinner at Chez Bernard feels like a quiet celebration — of flavor, atmosphere, and care. With its thoughtful service and well-composed menu, it invites guests to slow down and savor the moment. A rooftop destination well worth returning to.

Unfortunately I didn’t take more pictures of their food (I was too hungry for that). Their tartar was amazing, almost match their fries. The mussels we shared were not as good but still nice and the rest up to expectations (main stream but of really high quality). Ambience its upscale, very nice design and setting, only downside its the service its always in a rush trying to push for more order (or for you to leave?) so it stresses a bit.

Perfect place during the spring season. Flowers are in bloom and they smell really good. It gets crowded a bit so better to visit early. Park is free, with lots of benches.

An impressively lovely gardens right along the inner city of Vienna. Everything is precise, orderly and beautiful. There’s a section where rose bushes are donated by people and it makes for a colorful pop along the walking path. We came on a rainy day but this would be a lovely spot to sit and spend more time when the weather is better. I loved how precise everything was set up here, the grounds are very well attended to and cared for.

Great place, pretty classy. Get the All Day Big Boy Breakfast Sandwich. It was quite pricy at €16 but it was worth it. The best thing about this place is the amazing atmosphere when the sun is out. If you know you are coming on a sunny day, make a reservation to sit outside in the shade. You will experience the definition of atmosphere. Places like these will make us come back to Vienna.

Great food that tasted exquisitely and was presented immaculately. €165 for 2 people spent. Was a little too warm by the window but it is summer. Nice to have a steak that was cooked exactly as wanted. If we visit Vienna again we will surely eat here again. Recommended to reserve a table ahead of time.

Probably the best restaurant around! Service was incredible and the food was just divine From the minute we arrived they made us feel welcomed right through to when we finished our wonderful meal. And I must say the smashed burger I have’s was probably the best ever! Located right on the canal this place had the coolest vibe to match! A must go! Thank you to the whole team there!!

This place is recommended on various guides and by various people. We reserved a dinner for 6:30 PM and we arrived at the opening at 6. Was not a problem to get a table next to window as we asked for. The waiter was very good and helped to make some choices between the options we had for food. Also he recommended a good local white wine for our fish. What I appreciated ( and I recommend people traveling from other countries or continents to do - verify where you travel and what is the local food and people culture ) was the focus on client wellbeing . Example: food takes time to be served ( thanks good is cocked and not microwaved ) and the waiter asked us if we are ready for main dish or we want to wait a little and enjoy view and discussion. Regarding the food - is a real gastronomic restaurant , I enjoyed the fish and chips revisited and the gazpacho as starter. If you are not in rush, if you understand the restaurant is an experience and not a need to eat, if you accept the local “cold” people style then go here and enjoy the view of Danube Channel. One mention - they have bar, terrace and restaurant - my dinner was in the restaurant.

Very cozy restaurant right at the Donau. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had the breakfast sandwich which tasted good besides the fact that the avocado has had its best times.

We can only say good things about Motto am Fluss: beautiful ambience, very friendly staff, attentive service, and cleanliness. The brand design is lovely, and the value for money is great as well. Went here last night to see The Gaslight Anthem. Nice venue. I thought acoustics were decent. They only accept cash in the food and drink area and that to me is just annoying. It is 2024. Plenty of places to get food and drink (for cash). Venue holds about 3,000 people for Open Air. We had good views. Too many people smoking. We loved the concert.

This is a great location for events It doesn't matter if we are talking about the indoor or outdoor stage. The bar has a heavy punk touch and the people working there are great. Don't expect fine service this is a punk and metal location but if that is what you are looking for arena is great. I really enjoy my time there after each event and the people you meet there are great as well. One of the nicest locations I have ever visited ( I do love the punk and metal vibe though)

Excellent venue for live music. Various bars and an outdoor stage laid out across a larger complex. Great sound quality and a good atmosphere. We were lucky enough to catch Masters of Reality here in autumn 2025. I can't wait to come back.

One of the best locations for concerts/events! Indoor and outdoor! Well organized. Prices not too high. Also visit the Arena Beisl. It's a very origin place with the spirit of many years of music history.

The place was amazing. The best chilled out concert venue I've ever been. Drinks reasonably priced and not long queue. Unfortunately our artist Ben Howard left much to desire as he did not play his top hits and most loved songs. Left us all fans quite disappointed 😞.

Went last night for the first time. My new favourite venue in the world… Unbelievable sound quality and production (Obviously credit goes to Placebo here too!)… And the venue is clearly designed for people to actually enjoy and be comfortable in, not only to make money. Loads of design planning clearly went into helping people view and engage with the event, instead of all into making them spend money. Stacks of banked and levelled space with a clear views of the stage and not crowded. Reasonably priced bar, plenty of toilets (no queues even for a sell-out night). Amazing for a big venue to be so considerate of visitors and focus on the musical experience. Felt more like a mini festival than a commercial venue. Can’t recommend it highly enough. You’d never get that kind of experience in a big UK venue.

Awesome place! Came for a late breakfast and both ordered the traditional viennese breakfast & espresso. Great sized meal for the price and yum! Coffee not bad either! Food came very quickly. Great vibe about the place with lots of Einstein decorations. Loved the booth style seating.

The food was very tasty and portions are generous. Service is good but no personalisation and link with clients. Sometimes had to wait a little longer than needed for service. Great place to visit after visiting the Town Hall and Parliament area. Sachertorte was very dry. Iced coffee lovely.

The decorations and attentikn to detail in this place is amazing... They have a good selection of beers and if you like science and know something about Albert Einstein, this place will blow your mind!

We arrived as a group of 18 people coming from a large nearby event. We went in, asked for seats, and explained that another group of about 12–15 people would be joining us. We didn’t know the exact number, since they were all part of a large organization and we had invited several people without knowing exactly who would show up. In the end, the first group was seated, we ordered, and then the second group arrived. Instead of 15, they turned out to be 20 people – which, in most restaurants, should be considered a positive surprise. They were given tables by the first waiter, but then another waiter came over, extremely rude and unfriendly, and asked the second group to get up and leave just because they were 20 instead of 15 as originally mentioned. We pointed out that the entire floor was empty, but according to this man, the simple fact that we had underestimated the number of people was unacceptable. He insisted we had to leave, claiming that other guests had reserved tables and would be arriving – yet when we left, as shown in the attached photo, the floor was still completely empty. We cannot understand this behavior. Perhaps he simply disliked us because we were Italians. We even tried speaking in German (some of our group are fluent), but he kept repeating that since we were more than the number initially stated, we could not stay. So despite the first waiter seating us, the second one forced us to leave, treating us extremely poorly. All this just because there were more of us than we first estimated – something that should make any restaurateur happy. Instead, this man behaved like a petty bureaucrat, inflexible and rude, and we were shown the door while the restaurant remained empty.

Good service, food and atmosphere, and not as crowded as other Cafe’s in this area. ❤️‍🔥

Lovely place. Firstly the name got us interested and when we got at the place, liked the old infrastructure of the place. Had been craving to try the authentic Chicken Schnitzel and it was yummy. Also the dark beer which was of local brand Kaiser was tasty. Must visit place and totally worth the price of what you order.

It's a bit of a strange place if I'm honest. I guess it was a Sunday night, but it's onto of a hotel I thought it would be lively. I ordered a drink at the bar... I suggest you don't do that, they seem quite confused by a Scotsman asking for a beer. The view is fine at night. It's probably better in the daylight.

Cocktails that i had was nothing special , atmosphere is the only good thing and service is not that like it should , the place is full even on Monday’s , but all things said if u like to enjoy a view and have a drink in the terrace its great .

Part of the 25hours Hotel chain — fitting, because it feels like it takes 25 hours to get a drink here! The system for ordering drinks is honestly chaotic. There’s only one staff member taking all the orders, creating a huge backlog, and then another long wait while the rest of the bartenders try to figure out which drink belongs to which receipt lined up along the bar. It’s a confusing setup for everyone and a frustrating experience for customers. We waited about 40–45 minutes for our cocktails — which, at €15 each, isn’t exactly great value for money. It’s a pity, because with a bit more organisation, they could serve more people, faster, and make a lot more business. Disappointing overall, service definitely needs attention.

The rooftop has an incredible view from Vienna. Drinks are very good as well as the ambient with comfortable sofas. The staff is also very sympathetic. We had a great time with friends there.

Awesome bar! At first I thought it was part of the hotel but it's accessible for everybody by the elevator. My friend had a cocktail, which she really wasn't a fan of. The other than the cocktails, the drinks were fine. There's quite some seating space but be on time because it will get busy, outside as well. Also the special evenings with themes are very fun!

I went there twice with friends, it is a nice place to get a drink. There is a lot of tables and the interior is nice. The prices are decent and the service is nice. However, the later into the night it gets, the louder they make the music. This makes it really hard to enjoy and talk with each other, we had to shout to be able to hear ourselves. This also makes no sense to me cause nobody dances for the music to be so loud. In terms of food, I tried the falafel and hummus and it was one of the best I’ve ever had so that I would recommend.

So far the worst experience I have had in a café in Vienna. I ordered an Americano and received a latté instead. Upon telling the waitress I got the wrong order, she just asked me “why did you put the spoon in it?” (I did so to check if it was really a latte under the foam, or if the foam was maybe covering a dark coffee), and then looked at me as if it was my fault that my order was wrong. The café is called Europa, yet they have only 1 english menu. The waiters look at you in a condoscending way, as if you are something less, but maybe they just do that to tourists. Not once did they come to check on us or ask if everything was alright. The men’s bathrooms are kept in a sort of “punk” style - a little dirty and very, very smelly (men’s room more so than women’s). Upon paying, the waitress demanded a tip, explaining that it was a standard, even though the service definitely did not deserve one. Still, we were pressured into leaving at least 3 euros. The only saving grace of the entire experience was the tasty food and the cool interior design, but not enough to make up for the horrible service. I definitely do not recommend coming here unless you want mid food, bad service and a mandatory tip.

It's a nice place to visit with a friend or casual date. Service is friendly, but I'm guessing they're a bit overwhelmed with the amount of work. Some orders got forgotten, the timing of checking in on our table and serving was a bit mixed up, but generally friendly. The menu was also missing pages. I like the atmosphere, except the toilets which look more like those of a nightclub. The food was good, but not spectacular either. In general, just a nice place where I'll come again.

Cocktails and food are top-notch. The atmosphere perfectly encapsulates the Vienna punk/hipster vibe. Service is absolutely dreadful, so if you don't mind waiting a while for a delicious cocktail or meal (fine for us), this is the place to be.

Lovely surroundings. We had a pumpkin soup and a club sandwich. Both very tasty and value for money. We will visit back.

I visited Flex and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The club itself feels like a poorly invested, semi-basement space, located near the Danube Canal bridge. The crowd was mostly young, up to about 26 years old, with some even younger, around 16-17 years. The security staff, a Turkish man, approached me multiple times during the evening, accusing me without reason — claiming I was filming or staring at someone’s backside, which wasn’t true. He also complained about the presence of younger people in the club, which seemed unnecessary, as I don’t understand why he mentioned that to me. The music was very loud, and it was impossible to socialize. People mostly stuck to their groups. I couldn’t even make a connection or have a conversation with anyone. I spent 10 euros on entry, which I regret. Overall, this place is not worth the time or money. I wouldn’t recommend it and honestly, I think this club should be closed.

Very fun dnb rave, people in general are fun BUT there are numerous weird people staring and touching woman and even following them outside, when mentioning this to security they did not care at all!!! Hope the 3 young ladies I saw getting harassed and followed are okey. The floor is really nice and the music has really good quality but please invest in the safety of young women!

I've spent an okayish concert evening here. There’s a cloakroom for €2, drinks are cheap and the staff was friendly. The downside was that when the place was full (as it was that night), it became very hard to move, people were pressed against each other, and it felt like being in a sauna. The venue quickly felt too small. At some moments, the sound wasn’t good at all, we could barely hear the singer. I don’t know if that was due to the sound engineer’s settings or an issue with the venue itself.

Slightly overrated and not a great venue to watch concerts that attract large crowds - the club is basically a tunnel and it's hard to see the stage when not in the top 20 rows in front of it. Staff is professional and friendly though, and the "Flex" has a lot of history. Enjoy when you can, it's a good stop during a club tour.

If you're going to put a €20 minimum charge on card payments please notify customers of this (especially when they're on their own) before you pour them their drink. Its very scammy/awkward otherwise - even when you have a small sign next to the bar opposite the beer list screen.

I have had the best non-alcohol beer of my life! It was a great surprise, very delicious! But the music it was way too loud, I couldn’t feel good to talk or listen my friend, had to go away to not feel headache.

Okay, so I haven't tried EVERY beer pub in Vienna, but from my experience, this is BY FAR the best of the bunch. The beer selection is more interesting, the music is better, the vibe is great, and the staff is super friendly. Add some wholesome bar food (and even hand-knitted beanies!), and you have a winner. This is a must-visit for any beer lover visiting Vienna who's tired of the standard lager or its slightly darker cousin. Honestly, I have nothing but good things to say about this place.

Cosy place, a very nice beer choice, helpful personnel. As they don’t have a kitchen you are allowed to use any food delivery. Pet friendly. Very nice toilets with ‘SOS’ kits, at least at the Ladies room.

Don’t go there It is a trap. As a response to your reply: You’re mentioning here that you accept credit cards. I’m stopping by to have last beers of night. While paying you’re disclosing 20eur limit. No visible sign, no warning while sitting, and you’re providing two options. Paying 20 eur for 12.80 bill by card, or going ATM at the middle of night to pay you. Why? For a small transaction fee… As last point when you got 20eur cash your cashier is trying to charge 17.80 :) awesome. You’re a trap with your beer prices as well. You’re a tourist trap need a lot of cash…

Great beer selection and friendly staff. Even though they were having a private party inside the staff still made sure guests in the garden were taken care of. 12 taps of craft plus a great bottle list to include Cantillon and 3 Fonteinen among others. Edit: returned on Sunday for some of the bigger bottles of beer and Iryna was the only one working - she was wonderful with the customers and changing kegs, running the whole show! Amazing service and quality drinks.

Had a wonderful time in Vienna, but having cocktails at the Josef Cocktailbar was definitely a highlight! In fact, we visited the Josef 3 of the 4 nights we were in Vienna because the drinks are that good! Really innovative list of cocktails, and all of them high quality. Definitely recommend visiting at least once!

Best cocktail bar with literally Best bartender in Austria (national winner). They serve amazingly delicious and creative libations for locals and tourists alike. Loved the vibe. Stayed for the drinks. I usually don't drink while travelling so I opted for a mocktail tasting. The drinks were tasty and really enjoyed off menu mocktails by the master bartender himself. Had the best seat in the house being able to watch him craft the drinks all the while listening to his knowledge of his craft. Would highly recommend stopping in for a drink or two. Grab a friend, loved one or just go in solo for a relaxing fun time at the best bar in Vienna.

I found this lovely bar by chance and stopped for a drink, which was great! They have the full menu of their own cocktails but can certainly mix you the classics. I liked the place a lot.

Wonderful bar. Before this I visited 5 best bars in Vienna. I really love proper bar art. I asked for a cocktail not from the bar menu, purely according to my feelings. They made it better than I wanted. Rating 11 out of 10.

I don't drink alcohol, so I rarely go to bars, but this was recommended by a friend. I was pleasantly surprised that a non-alcoholic cocktail could have such complex notes. Very, very good!

The bar has a really nice classy atmosphere, it can get full sometimes but the drinks are worth it. They have true classics and drinks with more of a daring twist, prices are around 14-16 euros per drink! Be prepared to be pleasantly surprised with the different combinations of corn, condensed milk and interesting flavours in the drinks! (Ask for recommendations if unsure) Good for a date or a small group, can accommodate bigger groups but it’s better to reserve in advance.

Alex and Mateo run this very special cocktail bar in a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. Situated on a paved narrow street serving carefully designed drinks in a well architected cosy bar with top class design aesthetics ,which is only to be expected in Vienna. The 2nd best cocktail bar i have ever been to and i have been to a few! Probably 1st in terms of the drinks quality! Only suggestion is - please add that picante you made for me to the menu so that more people can be wowed by it! Please don’t change a thing except maybe adding a couple of waiters and adding a few more sides like say fries or maybe just because you guys get more time to interact with guests! You are always super busy in a good way 😀

This is a really cool place. Posted up at the bar with the wife on our anniversary, the chap behind the bar chatted with us while slinging out the most insane array of cocktails at a rapid rate. Helped us out with choices, made conversation, evening flew by. Pay it a visit.

A quiet and cozy bar, perfect for coming alone or for a date. I highly recommend the cocktail “Getting Ghosted”—a refreshing mix of gin and peach. Because of this place, I will always remember a certain someone.

Can't recommend this bar enough. From the amazing atmosphere ,the liveliness and pulse of the bar,the amazing service from the people behind the bar . One of the bartenders was kind and enthusiastic enough to create a fantastic cocktail on the spot just based on my request(rum &spicy) one of the best cocktails I've had and one of their signitures "Left on Read", Both fantastic. 10/10 from Cyprus

Food and place are worth it. We had a nice time until we had that stressful encounter with the manager while paying. When we told the waitress we wanted to pay, she didn't ask if we want to pay together or separately(aside from that she accommodated us really well the whole dinner). She came with one bill and when we said we want to pay separately, the manager acted so stressed and we felt weird while paying. They almost doubled one of my friends bill from 160€ to 250€. Good thing she asked to repeat the calculation. Maybe they're just really stressed but they let us felt that too in the end. Aside from that, everything was fine. We enjoyed our food and drinks and just enjoyed our time there.

First of all the place is magic. The interior, terrace and view. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The food was excellent. There is a limited menu of dishes well thought through with high quality ingredients. The taste was perfect.

The Rosewood Hotel is one of the best and most expensive hotels in Vienna, with a fantastic location in the city center. On the roof, you will find the bar and restaurant “Neue Hoheit,” where we had lunch. The weather was warm for autumn, and we were able to sit in the garden on the roof. The atmosphere was accordingly good (Magic as another reviewer, Tamara, said) We had a Caesar salad with shrimps. The salad was prepared by the waiter right at the table, and we were asked about our various preferences. Even the preparation was a visually appealing way to get us in the mood for the meal. The salad itself, actually a simple dish, was fantastic. The anchovies and shrimp were of the highest quality and the dressing was perfect. Given the location of the bar, the prices were high but not excessive. Overall, 5 stars for the service and food. An absolute recommendation for any visit to Vienna!

We went in a group of four to have lunch and it was my fist time there. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre, the holiday specials entree was not available although we were handed the holiday specials menu. Overall, it was definitely overpriced. They charge couvert fee for each guest, which is (presumably) for a small brioche to be shared. The atmosphere is nice though, maybe I would come back for drinks or for a coffee.

Today, we visited the bar at Rosewood Vienna for an aperitif and were met with exceptionally friendly service. Afterward, we dined at the Brasserie, where we were warmly welcomed and seated by Leoni. Our table service was handled by Ricarda and Jamal, both of whom were incredibly friendly and assisted us in selecting the perfect drinks and dishes. The food was fantastic, and we had a wonderful evening. Many thanks to these three outstanding staff members—we will definitely be returning!

Elegant interior design with flowers everywhere and nice table with clean cutlery. For breakfast you can choose either buffet for 52€ including all dishes on the menu or simply something from the menu. If I knew the portions were this small, I would have taken the all you can eat option. Great view over the first district is a plus! I would definitely come here again!

I’ve visited the venue many times and this time I was negatively surprised. We’ve asked for two shots of jagermeister and got served like this. Afterwards I’ve came to a man to confirm that they serve shots in this way. You can get the same shot from a wurstelstand in 50m almost twice cheaper but definitely twice welcoming. I honestly can’t recommend this place.

Well paint my toenails and call me Mable🤠🍻 If you want to drink beer at good prices and play free table football this is the place. Dark ambient with good atmosphere, also has darts and fliper. Only downside is there is no poop cleaner in the bathroom so i had flush like 5 times, other than that heck yeah this is the place to grab a drink 🐸
