If you're in Ankara and looking for a restaurant that offers not just a meal, but a complete cultural experience, Koray’s establishment is a must-visit. The service is impeccable, the staff is incredibly welcoming, and the opportunity to explore traditional Turkish flavors is one you won't want to miss. An experience very worth trying!

This is a nice place to visit which specializes in Fish dishes. Staff provided professional service and they can speak English very well. I got complimentary dessert which tasted really good.
Penphorn T — Google review
Once you're used to Istanbul restaurants, it's kinda boring without a view. The octopus was great. Really good. But the appetizers were just okay. I didn't like the marinated seabass. It was overpriced for the food and vibe. Like, double the price of other good Istanbul places.
Sencer D — Google review
Fantastic place! Best fish and incredible lemon sorbet! But everything is amazing.
Martin G — Google review
Awesome and delicious food. I recommend the crab and the starters. Also the staff is very friendly and well trained. Location is also super nicely decorated. There are two areas. One is close to the entrance which is really nice. We were in the backside which was not that nice but still ok. I highly recommend to go here for seafood. But it's price is more premium, but at the same time also the quality.
Johannes P — Google review
Impeccably clean and refined. As a seasoned traveler, I have never encountered a restaurant of this caliber. Their extensive menu showcases a traditional Turkish fish cuisine elevated to a fine-dining experience. Our exceptional service was provided by Taner, whose impeccable table manners significantly enhanced our dining experience.
Sofija A — Google review
Trilye exceeded my expectations for a seafood restaurant in Ankara. The delectable dishes left my taste buds dancing with joy. The staff was exceptionally helpful, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. From the ambiance to the delightful flavors, Trilye is a must-visit for seafood enthusiasts.

Bar
Zula Bar in Ankara is a top choice for those seeking a comfortable and vibrant ambiance, great music, and delectable food. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing in the city. The bar offers a wide array of delicious dishes without disrupting conversations with loud music. Known for its cool graffiti murals, lovely garden area, and live music nights, Zula Bar attracts an eclectic crowd with its gypsy vibe.
This pub is a hidden gem! It's got a welcoming atmosphere with cool graffiti murals and a lovely garden area. They have live music nights featuring different bands, which is always a treat. The crowd is friendly and eclectic, with a bit of a gypsy vibe. I highly recommend checking it out!

The chicken steak is so freaking goood, and the double fried I requested was beyond delicious 🤤 The staff are very helpful and friendly for foreigners like us who don’t speak Turkish. 100/10 love everything here
Prakaykan P — Google review
The atmosphere was normal (just people drinking and speaking to each other), nothing special. The staff are super attentive and polite. They didn't had any kind of food when we went there, but they allow you to bring your own food to have with the ordered drink. All in all, it was fun.
Mehdy A — Google review
Bartender was more interested in having small talk then serving its customers. On top of that wine tasted like water. The worst was the invisible tourist trap of 20% service tax. The only saving grace was the view.

Love the place. I didn't find it expensive. You can see the city up from there. The staffs were really nice and friendly. You can pay via MasterCard or by cash. You can use stairs or a lift to be there. Usually a great place for hangingout with group of friends (4-5). Smoking is allowed. No official parking lot.

Ancient Ruins
Ankara Castle, an ancient fortress perched on a rocky hill, provides breathtaking panoramic views of the city. With its strong fortifications and intricate architecture, this historic site offers visitors a glimpse into Turkey's past. The castle has been used by various civilizations for defense and settlement over its 4,000-year history and has undergone numerous repairs. Inside the castle, there are houses dating back to different historical periods, providing insight into the area's evolution.
We have been here twice already and we are never tired of it! You can have a cup of coffee or tea in a small cafe inside the yard. You can enjoy the great view from above. You can buy souvenirs from local people and have a taste of traditional items. Take your time to go up and admire the view!
Nicoleta M — Google review
Ankara Castle is a historical landmark with amazing panoramic views of the city. Walking through its old walls and narrow streets feels like traveling back in time. Around the castle, you can find beautiful shops with souvenirs, accessories, and charming cafés designed in an old traditional style. It’s a must-visit spot in Ankara for history lovers and anyone who enjoys exploring authentic places
منى ر — Google review
Ankara Castle is one is must visit place. The panoramic views are amazing you can see the whole Ankara. But the sad part is it needs some work especially outside walls. Worth to visit
Qaiser M — Google review
Ankara Kalesi is one of the most charming and underrated historical landmarks in Turkey. It’s overlooking the city, this ancient fortress has stunning panoramic views of Ankara that are worth the climb alone. Walking through the cobblestone streets and seeing lovely shops next to each other was fun!
Deniz — Google review
The view from up there is simply amazing. The walls of this place carry a lot of stories that it had seen. The place is very old. It is a military castle as it contains the openings were soldiers used to sit to attack the enemies. The view from there is simply one of the best. I loved every thing I saw. If you are in the area nearby, this place is not to be missed.
Antoun B — Google review
Highest point of the castle is a good place for the panorama view of the whole Ankara. Antik shops and cafe shops worth paying a visit. No ticket was required for the castle.
Emad P — Google review
It’s interesting to see how the ruins are hidden in the middle of the city. You can barely see them from the Main Street down below. The layout of the castle are has been somewhat preserved but all you see are partial walls. The view from up in these walls is very nice though. Both facing city as facing The background mounts. It’s best visited if you have someone local to point out what is what in the city view…otherwise it’s just a bunch of buildings seen from a distance.
Diogenes T — Google review
On my second visit to Ankara I was happy to see this historic and wonderful Castle. It is one of the must-visit destinations in the city for tourists. I have been waiting for this for a long time, it came true today I found myself at Ankara Castle. I saw a big number of tourists including national and international like Chinese the most. From the top you can grasp the beauty of the Capital with a wide landscape. There are also charming traditional houses and small shops selling local crafts and souvenirs, adding to the authentic atmosphere. It's a great place to wander, soak in the history, and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. Highly recommended for history buffs and anyone looking for a unique experience in Ankara.

Concert hall
IF Performance Hall in Ankara is a renowned venue for live music events and concerts, with over 80 shows organized annually. The hall's modern stage and brick walls create an inviting atmosphere for visitors. It hosts a variety of events, including concerts, DJ sets, and regular shows. This upscale venue attracts both international and Turkish artists, making it a vibrant and crowded place that is a staple in Ankara's nightlife scene.
This is a night club. I think it’s open 7 nights a week for dancing…. I’ve personally have been coming here on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and there’s a club music and a dance floor those nights. Also - not expensive for drinks. There’s a happy hour after 3 am here for alcohol, which gives you a discount. But honestly - you don’t really need a discount - drinks are reasonably priced. Also - the entrance fee (150 tl in 2024) gives you a free drink to redeem at the bar; which is a great deal))
Donna L — Google review
The music and the place to dance is good, but do not go to the place expecting the thing they offer, like dance hall( they play the hits 30 years ago) or reggae ( they still play the same playlist including gasoline - 20 years old song) . They do not offer what they advertise in terms of the music style
Melike B — Google review
One of the best live performance clubs in Ankara. Good for late night entertainment aswell.

It is a great place for concerts and shows! FUN (Fvckup Nights) Ankara is also there every 4th Monday of a month.

Some of Crew and security guards are so rude. Their attitudes looks like that you are in pavyon. "Money talks " if you want to stay and use a table ,you have to purchase high price alchol expect for entry price.

I have lived in big capitals of developed countries and have never been this much insulted in my life. They stood some incompetent woman up at the entrance and the first thing she said that I am a single man and she chose to say positive non discrimination although I've had friends down there waiting for me. Eventually I was in but in the future, ever never and I'll make sure that I'll post this in other platforms so people know whether they may choose to go or not. The reason I type this down in English, so people from overseas would be more careful in regards to this place. Never!!!
Cagatay S — Google review
I wanted to attend the arctic monkeys event with my friend who is 18 the security didn't let him in because the event is 18+ the guys explaining said that means you should be 19! So why don't you just say on the website that it's a 19+ event and at least provide us with a refund what a shame this was going to be our first event in turkey. IF HALL please FIX THIS NOW BEFORE OTHER PEOPLE GET TRICKED THE SAME WAY I DID !

Nefes Bar // Bi' Nefes Özgürlük is a well-established pub in Ankara known for its cozy ambiance, excellent food, and a great lineup of national music talent. The pub has been around for at least 20 years and offers a nostalgic experience for locals. Despite the slightly higher prices, the food is described as awesome, especially the roka salad and adana kebab.
I went to a Latin event and I loved it, old school music, I kept dancing and all thanks to the best DJ I've ever met here yagmur_tiv. Congratulations, I hope that next time the entire Spanish-speaking community in Ankara will be encouraged to go.

Good but they went from Turborg to Efes and that well... I don't prefer, but I can make it work... still the same nice place I used to know half and a year ago. You should and are suppose to check this, open till almost 5 am everyday...

Not the cheapest, but the food is awesome and so are the staff. But yes they may be a little standoffish with a new person, and English is not the best. But great people.

Dark and melancholic athmosphere. It gets very crowded especially at concert times. Its too bad for them that they serve Tuborg beers instead Efes beers.

A gem of a museum! Has deservedly won the European Museum of the Year Award some years back. Just after you enter the main building is a description of the 11 sections of the museum and the layout of the sections. Then at the beginning of each section is a brief history of what is exhibited and the most important things to see. It made the viewing very enjoyable and interesting. And the exhibits - wow!! Such a great collection. It was definitely one of the best museums I’ve visited!!

A stunning museum that is home to majority of the Anatolian Civilizations Heritage. Infact, won European Museum of the Year Award in 1997 which is an award started to be given out 1977. It is one of the most interesting and beautiful museums of the country. A must visit! ☺️
Tour K — Google review
Well done museum. Displays are well lit and easy to see, even in a crowd. They have sculptures and pieces of life from thousands of years BC.
Debbie E — Google review
This is one of the most important Museum about Anatolic antique culture and Art. It is a great journey into the ancient art from Paleolitic period with divine feminine little sculptures (paleolitic venus), mural paintings and graffiti, decorated & zoomorphic vases, the fascinating Grave Sun Disk Ornament and primitive utensils till 1.000 BC. But nonetheless, there’a central rooms with decorared walls from ancient temples and cities. A must-see place, expecially if you are not going to travel through the region to visit ancient ruins spread all over former Anatolia. The location of the Museum is also a nice quiet place within a nice little park and close to a typical turkish market descending back to the big avenues. The Museum has designed also some space dedicated to rest and have some talks when finished the tour. Finally, as a restored old marketplace, the building in itself is a pleasant spot in the caotic architectural melting pot of the capitol.

eSkiyEni is a vibrant two-level club in Turkey that offers a diverse and liberal atmosphere. The upstairs area features pop music, while the downstairs basement is known for electronic and trance beats, attracting a local LGBT crowd. During weekends, the venue comes alive with funky and pop tunes that will have you dancing all night long. Additionally, there's an outdoor terrace where patrons can enjoy nighttime drinks.
One of my favorite places in Turkey. Friendly staff, free Wi-Fi, good food and prices, and great music. While I was there, the music ranged from good 60s and 70s rock, blues, jazz, 90s alternative, to reggae. This place reminds me of Portland or Austin in the US. You'll see a lot more tattoos, irregular piercings, and well worn band t-shirts than anywhere else I've been in the country so far. Prices are decent; you can get a touch cheaper beer at nearby places, but the atmosphere and ground floor outdoor seating is worth the difference to me. Plus, the non-beer drinks were well priced.

Manhattan in Ankara is a renowned live music venue that has been open since 1993. It offers a vibrant nightlife experience, featuring international bands performing jazz, rock, and blues music. This spot is not particularly known for its queer vibes but rather for the opportunity to enjoy diverse genres of music. It provides an excellent chance to immerse oneself in the local Ankara scene and is especially popular among locals who often encounter familiar faces here.
Great place for live music and having fun. The audience is matured range. Not young people. Haha but the atmosphere is great. Love to come here! Its 2 floored place, live music downstairs, chats and smoking area in the upstairs. The people are friendly, the bartender are helpful, the crowds are super fun too!! Recommended to come, also for English speakers.. no scam. 10/10

It is an oldie but a goldie place. Despite the average age, which is around 70 (😋), the atmosphere is nice, music quality is good. I like there and recommend it!!

Nice atmosphere, great bands. Can be a little cheaper to enter but the free alcoholic beverage sort of compensates for that. The downstairs is a bit too small and crowded, but it doesn't take away from the experience. Highly recommended.

Louise Cafe Brasserie & Loft is a stylish restaurant in Ankara, drawing inspiration from the old French Quarter of New Orleans. It offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it perfect for a romantic dinner or casual lunch with friends. The menu features traditional fare, as well as pizza, pasta, and cocktails. The dishes are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The restaurant has received high praise for its excellent food quality and service.
Going to this restaurant, I didn't expect much... But after dinner, I want to note that I AM DELIGHTED. Insanely delicious food, incredibly pleasant atmosphere, and very attentive service. Delicious pie and chicken Kiev, unusual presentation of dessert (too sweet for me), but definitely worth a try. I would come back here again!
Marta — Google review
This place is quite the find! Louise Cafe did have a very different feel than many Ankara restaurants. Beautiful interior, and a very nice outdoor space with heaters for when it's cold. Nice music playing. Servers were extremely friendly, and spoke some English which is always appreciated due to our limited Turkish. Menu was expansive; while the theme of the restaurant is New Orleans, the menu was not creole. The French Onion soup was very good, the mushroom and chicken pasta was amazing. The pasta tasted freshly made. And the margherita cocktail was the best I've had here. We can't wait to go back for dinner!

In love with their tiramisu. The waiters are very nice and I want to thank Ms.Goksu who was in charge of our reservation for my birthday and everything was great. The food and wine were also good.

Anything you are craving - you can find it here! From the apps, to the variety of salads, all the way to the mains and creative desserts; You cannot go wrong! I have visited many times but will include only my last visit for pictures. If you have a chance, get the Southern Charm sorrel cocktail, it’s sweet and sour and like nothing you have had before. Enjoy!
Rüya T — Google review
Phenomenal food- i just arrived in Ankara and some friends decided to take me out to celebrate and brought me here. From the moment I walked up I was in love, the New Orleans theme is not something I expected but it is so well done and cohesive. The decor and art work are amazing, the ambiance is lovely and the staff go above and beyond to assist and help. Bathrooms are beautiful and comfortable, I could have spent my time walking around the lower flower and admiring everything to be honest. You see how many good things I have to say and I haven’t even gotten to the food yet? Everything I had to eat was amazing. From the drinks to the apps to the main dish I was in love. In fact I loved it so much I returned the very next day! This place has amazing drinks and deserts too, I’m so glad my friends put it on my radar I will definitely be returning more than once before I depart.

Slightly pricey (above average prices) but it’s worth it as the quality and taste of food is excellent. Service is also very attentive and superb. They have a large al fresco seating with nice classy vibes, and their indoor seatings are also beautiful. Every dish I have tried there so far did not disappoint. Portions are also very good, especially the chicken Caesar salad, worth the price. They also serve one of their special spreads with delicious bread before they serve your mains.

The restaurant boasts a beautifully designed interior adorned in soothing blue and white hues, creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for any occasion.
This is a fine dining experience restaurant. Everything is amazing, but the most amazing thing is their service. The staff is just amazing. I could say they're 5 star. The food is top notch and their st. Sebastian cake is extremely delicious. You need to make a reservation, or else you may not find a table. Compliments to the chefs and the management.
Sinem A — Google review
Absolutely beautiful restaurant; the interior is decorated so nicely, and the view is second to none. Recommend asking for a window seat, and make reservations ahead of time. Sangria was good. We just ate one appetizer, the bruschetta trio to share with two people. One of the three was really good, could have done without the other two. But the menu was extensive and looked really good. We'll go back and try dinner one day.
Noah V — Google review
We tried their stracciatella and bread, insalata di caprese, pizza margherita, Aperol Spritz, and Hugo. Besides the pizza, non the of the recipes were authentic Italian… Never seen stracciatella served in this small amount and with this texture, actual Caprese Salad is not served or made like that. Hugo doesn’t have that extra syrup. Aperol is not that sour or bitter. Anyways, it is unfair to expect something just like that, especially in a foreign country.
Işıl — Google review
It is very well located in Ankara with a nice panorama view of the city. The interior design is just amazing. We have been lucky to be served by a friendly lady. The food is generous and tasty except the floor of the pizza that I found a lil thick. There is a large choice for vegan as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.
M. N — Google review
My favourite restaurant in Ankara. The interior is very pleasant and the color scheme is memorable. Quiet music, menus are in English and most waiters speak English as well. Food was mostly excellent. The lasagna was a bit too salty and the vegan chocolate cake was a little heavy, but the rest was great. The service was truly exceptional. First time I have seen waiters wipe the table down twice. Everyone was very attentive and we could take anything we wanted home. The restaurant is expensive by Turkish standards, but worth going if you want to have some decent Italian food. We have not been able to find a better Italian restaurant in Ankara.
Mark — Google review
One of the prettiest restaurants i have ever been in. The blue and white theme throughout the whole place is gorgeous and even in the tiniest details. The terrace overlooks the city and you dine with a breathtaking view. Definitely the place to go to for a romantic dinner for two. We ordered the truffle pasta and wanted to try the famous pizza but sadly the oven was not working so there was no pizza for us that night :-(. However the pasta was really delicious and a perfect portion. This restaurant is nevertheless very pricey even for me as a german. Considering the good food and unforgettable atmosphere it is definitely worth an occasional visit.
Alicia T — Google review
Beautiful restaurant with an amazing view. The interior was so beautiful. We were able to sit outside in a non smoking area. They were very friendly and thoughtful towards our children (10mo and 3yo). The food was simply delicious. We had bruschettas, they made a meatball spaghetti for our son. Cocktails were also very good, we had Sofia Lauren and Negroni. Main course suggestion: linguine with burrata and mushrooms, the dish is finished at the table. If you can you should try to go in the evening to see the sunset 🌅
Judith L — Google review
It is an adorable place with amazing food, the best place that I have visited in Ankara and actually in entire Turkey. Everything is high class, menu itself is already an art. The view at the terrace is magnificent especially at the sunset. Recommend it 10/10

Good pub / eatery. Apparently their sangria is famous as everyone ordered it. The menu is alright and somewhat predictable but quality is very satisfactory. Two can eat at 120 liras without booze. Recommended.

Great atmosphere, big portions. Generally speaking, a bit expensive for Ankara, but the prices are normal if you take the neighborhood into account. Famous for its cocktails and especially sangria.

Good quality food with tranquil surrounding, the service was good too, other than them serving tea which we haven't ordered and then adding to the bill. Because the waiter was genuinely believed he did the right thing, we decided to pay for the extra tea and even leave a good tip.

Excellent sangria but be careful with the meat. The burgers are sometimes not cooked enough - we have been struck by food poisoning a couple times after eating here unfortunately. Also the shrimp stuffed avocado is not worth the price. It's simply a peeled avocado cut in half with 3 shrimp stuck in the middle of each half....nothing special.

The Temple of Augustus in Ankara is an ancient site dating back to the 2nd century AD. It features well-preserved inscriptions of Emperor Augustus' last will and testament, known as the Res Gestae Divi Augusti. The temple was originally built to celebrate Galatia's entry into the Roman Empire and demonstrate loyalty to Emperor Augustus. Over time, it underwent transformations, including conversion into a church during the Byzantine period.
Dwarfed by a minaret of a mosque of medieval Ottoman style, this temple of Augustus and Roma of the early First century is absolutely a must see if you are in Ankara, witnessing not only the triumph of Allah over the gods but also the best preserved copy of the Res Gestae Divi Augusti—the first Roman emperor’s autobiography/self-propaganda—which is widely known as “the queen of all Roman inscriptions”. However, the inscription is not visible because the temple is far away from the protective fence. What a pity!

Just aside the Mosque but still well preserved, you cannot go so close to read the inscription. Also since it's the Mosque garden, please be aware of your outfit (avoid shorts, and skirts). Enjoy

Very historical place that is tucked away in Ulus. It's amazing that the wall is still intact after more that 2000 years. Ankara castle is not far away from this site. There is a beautiful park, restaurant and shops there also. A nice place to relax. I recommend visiting when in Ankara Turkey.
Reshma T — Google review
Roman ruins located in a square with a mosque. The temple remains are just one wall and some area in front, but it's worth visiting if you are in the area. It is a public square so there is no admission fee to view the ruins
N M — Google review
Amazing place. Just sad that some other culture build there a different place of worship. The hill it's amazing with it's historical houses, but all filled with religious shops and restaurants, and this breaks the authenticity. If I remember correctly neither Bible or Koran approves for money maker to be around God's praying places.

Cute square with remains and a mosque. The roman temple remains are nice but were a bit hidden. The view to the castle is nice, otherwise not much to do there.

The Roman Baths and Open Air Museum in Ankara offer a glimpse into the ancient Roman bath complex dating back to the 3rd century CE. Built by Emperor Caracalla, these baths featured hot, warm, and cold rooms. Despite being destroyed by fire in the 8th century, the ruins still exude an aura of historical grandeur. Visitors can explore little stories, statues, and inscriptions that provide insights into Roman history.
An open-air history museum. It contains Roman and Ottoman Byzantine monuments, as well as the bath in the time of the Roman Empire... There are entrance fees and a museum card can also be used. Worth the visit because it is special

The site has improved during the past couple of years, and there seems to be a Visor Centre/ Exhibit of sorts being built. My recommendations for this site would be to improve customer relations. Being shouted at by your door staff doesn't really endear me to continue brining custom to this site. Also, I understand some staff have a snooze behind the trees, fair play to them, but it doesn't inspire me with confidence when I See a half dozen members of staff sleeping under the trees next to displays. It completely lacks professionalism. Have a bit more info for the displays. Instead of saying "Roman Gravestone" have something describing what's said on the gravestone, if possible give us more info. There's a lot of potential for this site to be a great Historical Attraction, however they need to take customer relations more seriously and not having their staff having a kip during broad daylight.

Spent a lot of time (and money) here in 2017, and I thoroughly enjoyed it back then. It was a bit pricy, but the wine, food, music and ambiance made up for it. Recently I visited the place again, and prices have risen to Scandinavian levels (whilst the assortment shrunk?). Expect 400 to 600 lira's for a glass of wine, and many times that for a bottle. Two glasses of wine and two beers left us with a bill of 1400 lira's. Way more than other wine bars would charge, and unfortunately not worth the money. Great memories prevent me from giving less stars, but perhaps it would he justified.

Mediocre cocktails and extremely overpriced. Bad service: we were told places with a good view are all reserved, after 2hrs most were still empty and we were not allowed to sit at there after asking again. Seemed like they make exceptions for people who look financially able and let them sit at the tables with great views… very pretentious environment. Cannot recommend anyone to go there - far far far better places to explore in Ankara :)

(Translated by Google) With its stunning views of Ankara's city, wonderful live jazz music, and delicious cocktails, it's the perfect place for a celebration. We went for a friend's birthday. Their service is truly excellent. The price-performance ratio is also quite good considering the view, live music, and attentive service. Ms. Clara took special care of not just our table, but every table individually. We also had some with allergies in our group, and she patiently and attentively addressed each of them. Their chef, Uğur Yerlikaya, meticulously prepared a meal for our friend with allergies. I'd like to thank them both.

(Translated by Google) Prices are high, but the cocktails and snacks are mediocre. Our orders were either forgotten or incomplete; despite reminding us, service took 35 minutes. The staff, while well-intentioned, was extremely slow. The ambiance has also deteriorated significantly since the renovation. I definitely do not recommend it. Kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum.

(Translated by Google) The atmosphere is awesome. They have very nice signature cocktails, prices are between 350-500 TL. you have food The reason why I deducted k points is; As a concept, it is a place that does not have a main course, you can have snacks, but I think they have little variety. There were 7-8 snacks such as fried cheese, shrimp, crispy chicken, I think the variety could be increased. We drank Sunshine and blackberry mojito, Sunshine was very nice but I would not recommend the other one at all. We ate cheese croquette, it was also very good, only the sauce was too spicy.

Lokal '71 is a popular establishment among many people due to its diverse cocktail menu and tasty dishes. It is an ideal place for both entertainment and enjoyable time, with reasonable prices and occasional DJ performances. The gastropub's appeal lies not only in its affordable prices but also in its high-quality cocktails, delicious food, and friendly staff. With a great atmosphere, Lokal '71 is a favorite spot for teenagers to enjoy their evening.
Nice garden & relaxed atmosphere. Can recommend the mussels, they are delicious

This is a good place to grab a bite and a drink with friends and colleagues after work. Today we have had to chance to listen to an amazing set of a DJ during a live session. Unfortunately the kitchen delivered an overcooked Burger, which was especially ordered as medium-rare, however, they have re-cooked it and served the correct dish in a short while. It was a good day overall, and I can recommend this place to both local and expats for a bite and pint.

Mr.B Cocktail Bar is a newly opened gem in Ankara, offering a unique experience as the only non-hotel based cocktail bar in the area. The owners, with their background as mixologists on cruise ships, bring creativity and technical expertise to their craft. While slightly pricier than other options in Ankara, the quality of cocktails justifies the cost. The bar's central location, friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere make it a top choice for those seeking well-crafted drinks at fair prices.

Super friendly bartender with very short blond hair. Asked me what kind of drinks I like and mixed me a delicious cocktail. Also good value for a large beer. Only food I had was a fried assortment - called something like the Kafka combo. A giant pile of fries, with some chicken and fried cheese and onion rings and some kind of egg roll type stuff and sausage. Meh. Probably good if you’re drunk and sharing with friends. Big problem was the smoke. The place was absolutely filled with it. It was overwhelming and disgusting. Do not go unless you don’t mind stinking like cigarettes for the rest of the night.

Event venue
6:45 is a versatile establishment that offers both concerts and a cozy atmosphere for enjoying cocktails. Within the venue, there is a spacious seating area where one can engage in pleasant conversations. It serves as an ideal place to relax before a concert or simply unwind. Located conveniently in Tunali, close to the city center, it has become a classic spot in Ankara. Despite occasional crowds, prices remain reasonable.
This is a great club!! I was invited, so I cannot say anything about the prices, but I had an excellent time. It definitely was not an disappointment. The DJ was 100% He plays mostly 90s Turkish music remixes, but in such a way, that a foreigner can pick up the beat and have a blast. Western 90s music was played before the DJ came. This place is suitable for any age group.👍🏻👍🏻 The bar is 100% I had the best drink I have had in a long time. The staff was kind. Please keep the lavatories cleaner...there is sth like 300 people dancing and drinking, so not everything goes into the toilet bowl...a cleaner should do a general clean every 30 min when the place is full, I think.

One of the best in the Ankara (Ankara'nın en iyilerinden) You have the right to choose which floor, which DJ and what style of music and drinks to have, the only downside was that they don't accept dollars, so bring enough Lira to spend Tnx for amazing night and good security

Somewhat lame but good to listen live music here. Door prices vary depending on the program for the night. Drink prices are reasonable but drinks are way watered down. If this place is crowded you should avoid it and go somewhere else - it is unbearable when packed.

Located in the vibrant heart of Ankara, Club Kite embodies the city's youthful energy and modern flair. The venue hosts the annual Ankara Kite Festival, a colorful celebration that fills the skies with kites of all shapes and sizes, blending traditional and contemporary designs. With its powerful sound system and captivating lighting effects, Club Kite offers an electrifying dance experience. This popular spot is known for its techno music scene and is a must-visit for enthusiasts seeking a lively night out in Ankara.
I believe their music system is great , I haven't experience a better one in Ankara. But you must be picky about who is playing. Some dj s are not a dj.
Mary G — Google review
I am a 50 year old gay man. I have lived in Ankara for 8 years and enjoyed Kite many times. Each year it is more likely I will get stopped at the door to be informed that I must have a girlfriend to enter. I enjoy the music and the scene, but will no longer spend my money on misogynistic ignorance. When you hold such policies your business deserves to leave.
Douglas U — Google review
I loved the music and the ambiance. Even beats some of the high rated clubs in Amsterdam. Music was hardcore rave when I went there, if it is not your style you won't enjoy it 🙂 But I loved the beats and sound system, it is powerful and clean. Lighting above you creates nice effects. Overall I recommend this place for a good dance night. You can chill out in the bar at the entrance.
Özgür K — Google review
The DJ performances are top-notch. Nevertheless, due to the frequent overcrowding, individuals find themselves standing uncomfortably close to one another in the dance area. Additionally, inadequate ventilation occasionally leads to noticeable odors within the venue.
Merih P — Google review
No dute if is still the same culb... However "only for couples", really?!
S&m — Google review
The music is horrible. It is a mixture of everything. You can't possibly dance and enjoy yourself because the DJ plays music which you have no idea about. Nothing familiar. The club is also very small and unattractive. If you want a decent club with good recognisable music, this is not the club for you! My friends took me there and I was left completely disappointed. Plus, the entrance fee is 25tl which includes a small 30CL Efes Pilsen beer. It tastes bad. The entrance fee is outrageous. I cannot find anything positive about this place. No one should come and try here, seriously.

Located within the historic Divan Cukurhan Hotel, the Divan Brasserie Çengelhan offers a dining experience in a beautifully renovated 16th-century caravanserai. The brasserie serves classic Turkish and Ottoman dishes cooked to perfection in the main courtyard under a glass ceiling. Guests can also enjoy live music on weekends and visit the Avlu Bar for cocktails in the historic courtyard.
Outstanding service. The staff members were extremely polite and friendly, making us feel at home. We were so pleased to have breakfast here. It is highly recommended if you are looking for a cosy place.
Kaan A — Google review
The so-called view was barely visible. My “medium rare” steak was unequivocally well done. The rest of the food wasn’t anything I couldn’t eat anywhere else. However the prices surely did not resemble that. The service was pretty good, but that’s about it.
Michael K — Google review
Food: 1 Stars Service: 3 Stars Ambience: 2 Stars Sanitary: 2 Stars Overall: 2 Stars Note: Complimentary Dining Experience My experience at Divan Çukurhan Restaurant was truly disappointing, especially considering its reputation and location. The restaurant itself feels very outdated — it might have been charming years ago, but now it just comes off as tired and in need of serious refreshment. The view of the city is nice, but that was honestly the only highlight of the evening. We had a set menu as this was a complimentary experience with Turkish Airlines. I started with the mango carpaccio with marinated seafood and red pepper sauce, which sounded intriguing on paper. Unfortunately, the flavours just didn’t work together. The seafood had a noticeable fishy smell that was quite off-putting, and the mango was non-existent. It was one of those combinations that just doesn’t make sense once you taste it. Next was the forest mushroom quiche with spicy cream sauce. This was, hands down, one of the most unpleasant dishes I’ve ever been served. The smell was immediately strong and sour — reminiscent of something gone bad. The mushrooms themselves tasted spoiled, and after one bite, I couldn’t continue. Oddly enough, the raspberry sorbet (which was supposed to be a palate cleanser, though it came out of order) was the only thing I actually enjoyed. It was light, refreshing, and bright — though by that point, I was just grateful for something that didn’t smell or taste off. For the main, I had the lamb saddle on oyster cushions with capers and tomato bruschetta. The bruschetta had a strange odour — almost like someone’s sweaty hands had been near it, which made it impossible to eat. The lamb itself was extremely overcooked and dry, lacking any tenderness or depth of flavour. Again, one bite was enough. Dessert was the chocolate cake, which was the only dish that tasted somewhat decent. However, it was overly sweet to the point where I couldn’t finish it either. Service was decent — polite and attentive enough, though I imagine even the staff knew how poor the dishes were turning out. The servers did their best to maintain a good experience, so no complaints there. Overall, the atmosphere and city view are pleasant, but that alone isn’t enough to justify the visit. The food quality and combinations were simply unacceptable for a restaurant deemed so highly. I left feeling unsatisfied and a bit nauseous, which is the last thing you’d expect from a supposedly fine-dining experience. It’s a shame, because Divan Çukurhan Restaurant has the potential to be special given its location and history, but unless the kitchen and menu see a complete overhaul, I wouldn’t recommend it — not even for the view. xx kellychan360

Nestled in the heart of Ankara, Kıtır is a beloved local gem that captures the essence of comfort and nostalgia. This down-to-earth eatery boasts inviting outdoor seating where patrons can indulge in a delightful array of seafood, sandwiches, and the ever-popular kumpir. With its vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional pub, Kıtır offers an impressive selection of draft beers that perfectly complement their mouthwatering dishes like kokoreç.
Kıtır’s charm lies not only in its offerings but also in the people who bring it to life. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and passionate, creating an environment where you feel like part of the family. It’s the kind of place where the regulars are known by name, and newcomers are made to feel right at home. The vibe is effortlessly cool yet inclusive—a perfect spot for anyone, whether you’re looking for a lively evening out or a laid-back spot to unwind. The balance between energy and relaxation is something that’s hard to find, but Kıtır nails it every time. If you’re a fan of London’s pubs or simply someone who appreciates great food, drinks, and atmosphere, Kıtır will exceed your expectations. It’s a place you’ll keep coming back to, not just for the amazing experience but also for the memories you’ll create here!

Be aware! No one speaks English! Do not order food unless you have a table! Chaos! Limited seating. Self serve! We paid for our food but did not receive a flag to put on table to alert staff where to bring food. And since we could never get a table we had no where to go. So we never got our food and eventually left. Do not order food unless you can find a table.

Place is pretty good except loud music. I went there around 7Pm and it was full. The meal was delicious. I had fried seafood and kokorec. I assume the food was fresh, it tasted good and the portions were satisfying. Prices were a bit high but it’s normal regarding to the district.

Visited here with a friend on his recommendation. Loved the classic kumpir and the local vibe. The calamari is a must-try — one of the best fried calamari I’ve ever had! Just a heads-up: this is a self-service restaurant, so you'll need to place your order at the counter and collect your dishes yourself.

As a tourist, I find the place very good to meet locals. The guests are all informal and friendly, they are also eager to help (language barrier) with ordering and so on. The place is kind of hidden so you don’t just stumble upon it walking around. Nice music, food was very good. I’ve been back a couple of times already.

Varuna Gezgin Cafe in Ankara's Tunalı neighborhood offers a cozy and travel-inspired atmosphere reminiscent of European pubs or backpackers' inns. The interior decor is particularly noteworthy, creating a welcoming ambiance. The cafe boasts a wide range of reasonably priced beers and international dishes, making it a favorite local spot for many.
We had a lovely breakfast. We liked the eclectic decor including a collection of books and beer serving trays. The young servers all spoke excellent English and English menu cards were offered. On a Sunday morning there was plenty of seating and the food came quickly. With two brakfasts, a shared flatbread dish, coffee and tea we spent 1100TL.

For the atmosphere, this place has one of the coolest decorations and collections in any cafe or restaurant I’ve ever been to in Turkey. When it comes to food, most items are average and some items need some improvement. I recommend you to try their serpme kahvalti as it is variable and delicious and I can say it is above average in taste and variety. I wanted to go for something different this time and tried the croque madame but it was disappointing to be honest. The cheese and sauce inside had a very weak taste, but it is a tough sandwich to make so I give them some credit for the effort to try such a different dish. Pişi was quite doughy and filled on the inside normally it should be more fluffy and emptier on the inside (at least that’s what I know). The staff is so friendly and polite. I appreciate the effort and the good tea and variable nice drinks 🍹 Varuna Gezgin will always be one of my favorite places since my first try in Eskişehir. Cheers 🥂

By the way, a great place, I was passing by by chance and decided to go in. I didn't eat anything, so I can't say anything about the food, but the atmosphere is great, I liked the interior, the beer is fresh, the service is fast, the toilet is clean, the music is nice. I recommend it.

Great place in the center of Ankara. You can find different kinds of food, there. Fast food, salads, appetizers. They are all delicious. It is not expensive, too
Müşerref S — Google review
A cosy establishment that is travel inspired and looks a pub you’d find in Europe , especially at a hostel/backpacker’s inn, I really liked the interior decor. There’s a wider range of beers, prices were quite reasonable for drinks and food. I had pad Thai but it didn’t taste like pad Thai and was too salty (too much oyster sauce probably). Overall it’s a nice place for beer and drinks with company, food would probably be a miss.
Cheryl S — Google review
This is one of our favorite local spots. It has great beers and food plus a really cool look to the place. The menu has a lot of tasty international dishes. My favorite is the Pad Thai with shrimp (and extra egg). It's delicious and very filling. My wife likes the salmon avocado wrap which is really great too.
Jared W — Google review
This is a very casual place. Good for tourists, locals and students. However there were some families as well. I guess its a flexible environment, suitable for many different types of customers. Good for groups as well since it has big tables. The prices are very cheap. They have a menu with many options. The food is not the best but it is pretty cheap. I didn’t like the taste of the coffee there. We had french fries and it was way too fried and dry. The environment is interesting though. They have a wall filled with books and other decorative elements that symbolize traveling. I think this would be a more suitable place for grabbing a beer.

Not every place get my 5 stars. You should be sure this place is special. Love the authentic and cosy atmosphere. The beer is a bit expensive though. I heard for the first Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Mustt Mustt played here one evening, that tells me someone making the playlists got a great taste.

If you're looking for a vibrant nightlife experience in Ankara, look no further than Route. This popular nightclub is renowned for its lively atmosphere and eclectic mix of electronic and pop music that keeps the dance floor buzzing all night long. Spanning four floors, including a cozy library and an inviting balcony, Route offers something for everyone.
We loved this venue and visited twice during our stay in Ankara, both for breakfast and late dinner/ drinks. It has multiple areas to suit your mood/ ambiance you are after. Food was excellent, drinks were good, service was fast. I also noticed a big private event was being held upstairs. Definitely visit if you are around.

Definitely one of the best places to go eat in Ankara but that's mostly caused by there being not much places to go in the first place. There is no food service after 10 P.M. and sometimes the music is poorly chosen even though their name states "Good food, good drinks, good music". 7/10 overall. Oh and they are severely understaffed so if it's rush hour, you might ending up waiting 35-50 minutes for your food.

It's a must visit place in Ankara. It has 4 floors, a balcony, a library as well. The menu is huge and offers variety of choices, both alcoholic and non alcoholic as well. Snacks, desserts and main course dishes as well. The staff is nice and works fast. The prices are extremely affordable for the atmosphere and service you receive. Totally recommended. It's a great place for meetings or study, because the second floor is very quiet.

(Translated by Google) A pleasant environment where you can spend a relaxed evening. We forgot to ask the name of the lady who took care of us, but we were very pleased with the attention she showed us regarding both wines and food. As for the ambiance, if you are not expecting a fine dining luxury place, you can have a pleasant time that will meet your expectations. Personally, I do not think that they are able to reveal their potential, a much higher quality service can be provided with a little interior design and some minor changes. You may feel differences in the service offered compared to the prices, but as we said at the beginning, we expect a shabby place. Their menu was a little plain, but at least the contents and design could have been shaped a little more. We would especially like to see more detail on the wine menu. We tried their pasta, it was obvious that it was newly opened and fresh. Only the portions could perhaps be increased a little more. In general, it is a place where you can have a pleasant time in an environment with a fireplace, away from the noise and crowds of the city. Prices are above average. They can also provide support and services for your organizations.

Atmosphere was great! Beautiful restaurant after walking through a very nice hotel lobby. We were originally sat behind a pillar, but when we asked about moving we were sat by the big picture windows as the sun was going down. We had a spectacular view of the city lights below and really appreciate them moving us. Service was really good and the menu was very diverse. There were dishes from England, Italy, India, Peru, Mexican, Cuban, Portuguese, Asian, and even some good ol' American pub food. It's also the only place I've seen that had a dedicated pork section of the menu. The cocktail and drink menu was also extensive. We both got different margaritas that were tasty. The food fell a bit short, at least for what we ordered. The French Onion Soup was like none we've ever had; it was not very rich or flavorful. The fried shrimp were good, I could tell they were hand battered which was a nice touch. The Cesar salad had some excellent grilled chicken on it, but the dressing tasted like it had a dijan mustard base. We enjoyed ourselves, and will definitely come back. We're excited to explore more of the menu and find what some of their specialties are.

Delicious food. Diverse menu. Highly recommend for an evening meal. Decor and atmosphere are unique to Ankara. Highly recommend the apple crumble for dessert with vanilla ice cream. Heaven!
Casey C — Google review
Been here multiple times and all of the guests we’ve brought loved it. They have a variety of global cuisines that they really nail, including Moroccon, Cuban, French, Indian, Japanese and more. I love their touch with the Shephard’s Pie, and they may be the only place in Ankara that serve Okonomiyaki (Osaka style, not Hiroshima style). We’ve enjoyed all of their deserts but their Apple Crumble is our favorite, great to share with. They have vegan options, gluten free options and a variety of pork menu. They have a nice selection of wine menu with knowledgable waiters and great cocktails. Also, the waiters are great at service, from whom to start serving, and checking up on you without intruding. The atmosphere is lovely, I believe the owners are architects so they’ve put the effort on making it look cosy and classy at the same time, especially making use of that high ceiling. There’s live music (I believe every Friday and Saturday). It is usually piano or guitar backed with vocals. Maybe I’d say the volume could be a little lower to make conversations easier when near the show. This place is on the “pricey” end of the spectrum but is it definitely not expensive. I think they’ve balanced it well enough. You can make reservations, especially for the weekend but we’ve seen walk-ins a lot and you can usually get a spot.
M. A — Google review
The pub looked amazing, and the view over the city was amazing. Only the food was lacking slightly in spice for certain dishes where a certain spice is expected, but the food was plentiful. Drinks were delicious and it was reasonably priced

Hands down the best and the classiest place in Ankara and Turkey. Incredible ambience welcomes you with impeccable service combined with incredible food and drinks from all around the world. It is impossible to leave this place without finding something for your pallet, catering all foodie preferences. The cocktails are the best cocktails I have ever tasted with infinite options and without skimming from the booze, they are the best. My girlfriend wasn't sure what to order so the staff asked for her for her preferences in a cocktail and mixed the perfect cocktail for her. I was particularly fond of tiramisu, it was so fresh and apparently made daily. It's also great for celebrations and big organisations. I highly recommend everyone to give it a shot here.

Pub 65 B is a warm and welcoming place located on a popular street in Ankara. The pub has a unique smoking policy where there is a designated area for smoking, and if you are on the right side of the line on the ceiling, you are allowed to smoke. It's also known as a great place to start your night and meet other travelers. Visitors can enjoy "cako shot" and cocktails while mingling with others.
There is a thin line on the ceiling. If you are on the right side of this line (fully- not partially), you are allowed to smoke. If you are not, you aren't allowed and get a warning to slide your chair to the free zone. Sometimes, if you are in the part where it is OK to smoke, smoker people come to your table (from forbidden zone) and smoke. Another way of making friends.

Bunch The Pub is a charming and cozy establishment located in a quiet neighborhood. While the main courses may be limited, the pub offers a great selection of drinks, especially cocktails that are highly praised by visitors. The atmosphere is lovely and the garden area is particularly beautiful for enjoying your drinks. The bar also boasts outstanding service and reasonable prices, making it an ideal spot to unwind with friends or loved ones.
Cool and cosy atmosphere. Very hip and comfortable if you sit by the stairs but kinda uncomfortable chairs in the middle maybe on purpose to encourage turn over. Cocktails are nice and the food is delicious too. Try the corndogs 😉 the waiters are quick and attentive.

Tucked into a cozy corner of the street, the atmosphere of this bar is definitely the highlight! They have indoor and outdoor seating available, and even have floor pillow seating options (which I personally love). Lovely staff and good service. I was especially obsessed with their boat-fries, perfect for dipping! I ordered myself a No Mercy cocktail to try, super fun if you're an enjoyer of spice (definitely makes you drink slower :))
Artemis G — Google review
Cute pub with a nice cozy atmosphere. I came here on New Years Eve for cocktails. They have a good selection of drinks. I will definitely come back again, perhaps for brunch.
Jared W — Google review
Nice pub with a moderately large garden. Very good in breezy Ankara summer nights but need to wait for garden tables because of large crowd. Cocktails are nice and the staff is friendly. Not so suitable for large group meetings imo.
Abdullah A — Google review
They don’t take reservations for seating. They always say they can assist when you arrive, but sometimes it’s difficult to get a seat without waiting. The prices are fair compared to the quality of the place and its location. The service is good, and the staff are quite professional, though sometimes not very smiley.

The cocktails are magnificent Credits to the barman. Nice atmosphere,Reasonable prices

A restaurant is supposed to have excellent service and meals. Unfortunately, with the price of 170tl for cappuccino, we were given cold ones and tasteless 25 minutes after our order. Ok, after our complaint they changed coffees but we were waiting for dessert for 35 minutes. Interior and view are amazing of course.

BAD service! The worst I've experienced in Ankara. Low quality design and materials. It should be a special experience but they make you feel unwelcome from before you even arrive, and it gets worse once you do! In all aspects, they are not polite, they do not know how to speak to people, or to treat guests. My father got up to take a photo of the view and he was asked what he was doing here and did he have a reservation. At a kebab restaurant you're made to feel like a king, at Fabien you're nothing.

Not a bad place at all ! We went there for Sunday brunch. They serve a realy well-equipped breakfast plate, scrambled egg, coffee, tea and freshly squeezed orange juice plus a desert. The view is amazing. All that for 650 TL p.p. One cannot complain

The Pocket Roof Pub in Ankara offers a cozy and friendly atmosphere with great service. It is known for its affordable prices, outdoor seating on the balcony of Arcadium shopping mall, and a good view. The pub also has decent music and is owned by the same owner as the nearby cinema, offering potential discounts on movie tickets. Visitors have enjoyed the quality of service from the staff and appreciated the chill vibe for meeting up over drinks.
Was one of the best pubs I've ever been in Ankara. It's cosy with friendly barmen who kept supplying us snacks. Also gave us a nice shot of blue gin based drink before we left. We enjoyed the Oct 29th, the Republic day, there.

Good prices, good view, decent music. Also, the owner owns the cinema as well, so for a while you could show your pub reciept and get 20% off movie tickets. Idk if that's still the case but its a nice chill pub regardless. Great service also.
