This is a nice place to visit which specializes in Fish dishes. Staff provided professional service and they can speak English very well. I got complimentary dessert which tasted really good.

Once you're used to Istanbul restaurants, it's kinda boring without a view. The octopus was great. Really good. But the appetizers were just okay. I didn't like the marinated seabass. It was overpriced for the food and vibe. Like, double the price of other good Istanbul places.

Awesome and delicious food. I recommend the crab and the starters. Also the staff is very friendly and well trained. Location is also super nicely decorated. There are two areas. One is close to the entrance which is really nice. We were in the backside which was not that nice but still ok. I highly recommend to go here for seafood. But it's price is more premium, but at the same time also the quality.

This was very nice. I’m not a big seafood eater, but at this place I found myself trying lots of new things, including octopus.

The chicken steak is so freaking goood, and the double fried I requested was beyond delicious 🤤 The staff are very helpful and friendly for foreigners like us who don’t speak Turkish. 100/10 love everything here

The atmosphere was normal (just people drinking and speaking to each other), nothing special. The staff are super attentive and polite. They didn't had any kind of food when we went there, but they allow you to bring your own food to have with the ordered drink. All in all, it was fun.

Bartender was more interested in having small talk then serving its customers. On top of that wine tasted like water. The worst was the invisible tourist trap of 20% service tax. The only saving grace was the view.

Love the place. I didn't find it expensive. You can see the city up from there. The staffs were really nice and friendly. You can pay via MasterCard or by cash. You can use stairs or a lift to be there. Usually a great place for hangingout with group of friends (4-5). Smoking is allowed. No official parking lot.

Ankara Kalesi is one of the most charming and underrated historical landmarks in Turkey. It’s overlooking the city, this ancient fortress has stunning panoramic views of Ankara that are worth the climb alone. Walking through the cobblestone streets and seeing lovely shops next to each other was fun!

The view from up there is simply amazing. The walls of this place carry a lot of stories that it had seen. The place is very old. It is a military castle as it contains the openings were soldiers used to sit to attack the enemies. The view from there is simply one of the best. I loved every thing I saw. If you are in the area nearby, this place is not to be missed.

Highest point of the castle is a good place for the panorama view of the whole Ankara. Antik shops and cafe shops worth paying a visit. No ticket was required for the castle.

It’s interesting to see how the ruins are hidden in the middle of the city. You can barely see them from the Main Street down below. The layout of the castle are has been somewhat preserved but all you see are partial walls. The view from up in these walls is very nice though. Both facing city as facing The background mounts. It’s best visited if you have someone local to point out what is what in the city view…otherwise it’s just a bunch of buildings seen from a distance.

On my second visit to Ankara I was happy to see this historic and wonderful Castle. It is one of the must-visit destinations in the city for tourists. I have been waiting for this for a long time, it came true today I found myself at Ankara Castle. I saw a big number of tourists including national and international like Chinese the most. From the top you can grasp the beauty of the Capital with a wide landscape. There are also charming traditional houses and small shops selling local crafts and souvenirs, adding to the authentic atmosphere. It's a great place to wander, soak in the history, and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. Highly recommended for history buffs and anyone looking for a unique experience in Ankara.

The music and the place to dance is good, but do not go to the place expecting the thing they offer,like dance hall( they play the hits 30 years ago) or reggae ( they still play the same playlist including gasoline - 20 years old song) . They do not offer what they advertise in terms of the music style

Some of Crew and security guards are so rude. Their attitudes looks like that you are in pavyon. "Money talks " if you want to stay and use a table ,you have to purchase high price alchol expect for entry price.

I have lived in big capitals of developed countries and have never been this much insulted in my life. They stood some incompetent woman up at the entrance and the first thing she said that I am a single man and she chose to say positive non discrimination although I've had friends down there waiting for me. Eventually I was in but in the future, ever never and I'll make sure that I'll post this in other platforms so people know whether they may choose to go or not. The reason I type this down in English, so people from overseas would be more careful in regards to this place. Never!!!

I wanted to attend the arctic monkeys event with my friend who is 18 the security didn't let him in because the event is 18+ the guys explaining said that means you should be 19! So why don't you just say on the website that it's a 19+ event and at least provide us with a refund what a shame this was going to be our first event in turkey. IF HALL please FIX THIS NOW BEFORE OTHER PEOPLE GET TRICKED THE SAME WAY I DID !

Nefes is an old pub that has a great range of food and alcoholic beverage. Always cozy and confy. Kitchen is open until 03:00am in the morning which makes Nefes is a rare place in Ankara.

Nostalgic place for all Ankara people. My last time coming to here was maybe 10 years ago. And they are open for at least 20 years. Try their roka salad and çöp şiş.

Good but they went from Turborg to Efes and that well... I don't prefer, but I can make it work... still the same nice place I used to know half and a year ago. You should and are suppose to check this, open till almost 5 am everyday...

Dark and melancholic athmosphere. It gets very crowded especially at concert times. Its too bad for them that they serve Tuborg beers instead Efes beers.

Fabulous wealth of amazing artifacts from neolithic to Roman occupation times. I could have spent another 3 hours here, but for time constraints. The Sumerian, Hittite and Akkadian stone carvings and wall reliefs are jaw dropping!

A stunning museum that is home to majority of the Anatolian Civilizations Heritage. Infact, won European Museum of the Year Award in 1997 which is an award started to be given out 1977. It is one of the most interesting and beautiful museums of the country. A must visit! ☺️

Well done museum. Displays are well lit and easy to see, even in a crowd. They have sculptures and pieces of life from thousands of years BC.

This is one of the most important Museum about Anatolic antique culture and Art. It is a great journey into the ancient art from Paleolitic period with divine feminine little sculptures (paleolitic venus), mural paintings and graffiti, decorated & zoomorphic vases, the fascinating Grave Sun Disk Ornament and primitive utensils till 1.000 BC. But nonetheless, there’a central rooms with decorared walls from ancient temples and cities. A must-see place, expecially if you are not going to travel through the region to visit ancient ruins spread all over former Anatolia. The location of the Museum is also a nice quiet place within a nice little park and close to a typical turkish market descending back to the big avenues. The Museum has designed also some space dedicated to rest and have some talks when finished the tour. Finally, as a restored old marketplace, the building in itself is a pleasant spot in the caotic architectural melting pot of the capitol.

Does not loose its popularity for more than a decade, but it's getting less and less interesting. Beer selection is not wide, service can be slow on weekends, live music is not the greatest. The club side in downstairs can be checked.

From many years we were out of Ankara and we missed the bar. We were missed the atmosphere of Manhattan. We listened the group Stage. They were very good.

It is an oldie but a goldie place. Despite the average age, which is around 70 (😋), the atmosphere is nice, music quality is good. I like there and recommend it!!

Nice atmosphere, great bands. Can be a little cheaper to enter but the free alcoholic beverage sort of compensates for that. The downstairs is a bit too small and crowded, but it doesn't take away from the experience. Highly recommended.

This place is quite the find! Louise Cafe did have a very different feel than many Ankara restaurants. Beautiful interior, and a very nice outdoor space with heaters for when it's cold. Nice music playing. Servers were extremely friendly, and spoke some English which is always appreciated due to our limited Turkish. Menu was expansive; while the theme of the restaurant is New Orleans, the menu was not creole. The French Onion soup was very good, the mushroom and chicken pasta was amazing. The pasta tasted freshly made. And the margherita cocktail was the best I've had here. We can't wait to go back for dinner!

In love with their tiramisu. The waiters are very nice and I want to thank Ms.Goksu who was in charge of our reservation for my birthday and everything was great. The food and wine were also good.

Phenomenal food- i just arrived in Ankara and some friends decided to take me out to celebrate and brought me here. From the moment I walked up I was in love, the New Orleans theme is not something I expected but it is so well done and cohesive. The decor and art work are amazing, the ambiance is lovely and the staff go above and beyond to assist and help. Bathrooms are beautiful and comfortable, I could have spent my time walking around the lower flower and admiring everything to be honest. You see how many good things I have to say and I haven’t even gotten to the food yet? Everything I had to eat was amazing. From the drinks to the apps to the main dish I was in love. In fact I loved it so much I returned the very next day! This place has amazing drinks and deserts too, I’m so glad my friends put it on my radar I will definitely be returning more than once before I depart.

Slightly pricey (above average prices) but it’s worth it as the quality and taste of food is excellent. Service is also very attentive and superb. They have a large al fresco seating with nice classy vibes, and their indoor seatings are also beautiful. Every dish I have tried there so far did not disappoint. Portions are also very good, especially the chicken Caesar salad, worth the price. They also serve one of their special spreads with delicious bread before they serve your mains.

An excellent restaurant. Warm friendly service in stylish atmosphere. The outside setting is the place to go. Young smart clientele. Food is very good and well presented. The theme is Italian with Turkish overtones. The local wines are very palatable. Not cheap but good value .

If you want to get a good service, then come to Louise 👍 Waiters were so nice and they gave us the best table possible. The food and drinks were served fast. I liked everything except for cappuccino here, bc it was extremely bitter.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant; the interior is decorated so nicely, and the view is second to none. Recommend asking for a window seat, and make reservations ahead of time. Sangria was good. We just ate one appetizer, the bruschetta trio to share with two people. One of the three was really good, could have done without the other two. But the menu was extensive and looked really good. We'll go back and try dinner one day.

We tried their stracciatella and bread, insalata di caprese, pizza margherita, Aperol Spritz, and Hugo. Besides the pizza, non the of the recipes were authentic Italian… Never seen stracciatella served in this small amount and with this texture, actual Caprese Salad is not served or made like that. Hugo doesn’t have that extra syrup. Aperol is not that sour or bitter. Anyways, it is unfair to expect something just like that, especially in a foreign country.

It is very well located in Ankara with a nice panorama view of the city. The interior design is just amazing. We have been lucky to be served by a friendly lady. The food is generous and tasty except the floor of the pizza that I found a lil thick. There is a large choice for vegan as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My favourite restaurant in Ankara. The interior is very pleasant and the color scheme is memorable. Quiet music, menus are in English and most waiters speak English as well. Food was mostly excellent. The lasagna was a bit too salty and the vegan chocolate cake was a little heavy, but the rest was great. The service was truly exceptional. First time I have seen waiters wipe the table down twice. Everyone was very attentive and we could take anything we wanted home. The restaurant is expensive by Turkish standards, but worth going if you want to have some decent Italian food. We have not been able to find a better Italian restaurant in Ankara.

One of the prettiest restaurants i have ever been in. The blue and white theme throughout the whole place is gorgeous and even in the tiniest details. The terrace overlooks the city and you dine with a breathtaking view. Definitely the place to go to for a romantic dinner for two. We ordered the truffle pasta and wanted to try the famous pizza but sadly the oven was not working so there was no pizza for us that night :-(. However the pasta was really delicious and a perfect portion. This restaurant is nevertheless very pricey even for me as a german. Considering the good food and unforgettable atmosphere it is definitely worth an occasional visit.

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing view. The interior was so beautiful. We were able to sit outside in a non smoking area. They were very friendly and thoughtful towards our children (10mo and 3yo). The food was simply delicious. We had bruschettas, they made a meatball spaghetti for our son. Cocktails were also very good, we had Sofia Lauren and Negroni. Main course suggestion: linguine with burrata and mushrooms, the dish is finished at the table. If you can you should try to go in the evening to see the sunset 🌅

It is an adorable place with amazing food, the best place that I have visited in Ankara and actually in entire Turkey. Everything is high class, menu itself is already an art. The view at the terrace is magnificent especially at the sunset. Recommend it 10/10

Great atmosphere, big portions. Generally speaking, a bit expensive for Ankara, but the prices are normal if you take the neighborhood into account. Famous for its cocktails and especially sangria.

Good quality food with tranquil surrounding, the service was good too, other than them serving tea which we haven't ordered and then adding to the bill. Because the waiter was genuinely believed he did the right thing, we decided to pay for the extra tea and even leave a good tip.

Excellent sangria but be careful with the meat. The burgers are sometimes not cooked enough - we have been struck by food poisoning a couple times after eating here unfortunately. Also the shrimp stuffed avocado is not worth the price. It's simply a peeled avocado cut in half with 3 shrimp stuck in the middle of each half....nothing special.

Very historical place that is tucked away in Ulus. It's amazing that the wall is still intact after more that 2000 years. Ankara castle is not far away from this site. There is a beautiful park, restaurant and shops there also. A nice place to relax. I recommend visiting when in Ankara Turkey.

Roman ruins located in a square with a mosque. The temple remains are just one wall and some area in front, but it's worth visiting if you are in the area. It is a public square so there is no admission fee to view the ruins

Amazing place. Just sad that some other culture build there a different place of worship. The hill it's amazing with it's historical houses, but all filled with religious shops and restaurants, and this breaks the authenticity. If I remember correctly neither Bible or Koran approves for money maker to be around God's praying places.

Cute square with remains and a mosque. The roman temple remains are nice but were a bit hidden. The view to the castle is nice, otherwise not much to do there.

A well preserved temple in the middle of Ulus region. You can only see the structure from behind the fence. It is not allowed to go inside. Except the temple, there are a few more ancient structures around. Nice area to roam around.

Crazy how they have so much roman stuff outside and for a mere $3.5. However, only the basic information is given on the signs and most of the objects are named simply "Gravestone, Roman Period".

Entry is 145 TL, the museum is clean and well arranged. A lot of tomb stones and pillars. There is no shade so be careful of sun. Also the exhibition hall were all closed but I think it's because it was all transfered to the Anadolu civilisation museum. It's still worth the visit

A small but well preserved site. In Ankara, the best place to see Roman ruins. It also has an interesting view of the city and makes for a nice place to walk if the weather is good.

Entry fee 130 TL cash only. Google maps entrance is wrong. Very few tourists. Grounds are well kept.

Surprisingly amazing remains of a Roman Bathroom and hypodrome It is highly suggested to see I wish there could be some facilities to stay there more than 20minutes

The site has improved during the past couple of years, and there seems to be a Visor Centre/ Exhibit of sorts being built. My recommendations for this site would be to improve customer relations. Being shouted at by your door staff doesn't really endear me to continue brining custom to this site. Also, I understand some staff have a snooze behind the trees, fair play to them, but it doesn't inspire me with confidence when I See a half dozen members of staff sleeping under the trees next to displays. It completely lacks professionalism. Have a bit more info for the displays. Instead of saying "Roman Gravestone" have something describing what's said on the gravestone, if possible give us more info. There's a lot of potential for this site to be a great Historical Attraction, however they need to take customer relations more seriously and not having their staff having a kip during broad daylight.

I absolutely loved this place. It’s a large space where you can walk around the ruins of the baths complex and they have a huge collection of grave stones in multiple languages from multiple centuries (I realize not everyone is into that but I am!). Plus a variety of other statues, sarcophagi, and other interesting things to look at. Also great views of the city. For the price it’s definitely worth a visit.

Spent a lot of time (and money) here in 2017, and I thoroughly enjoyed it back then. It was a bit pricy, but the wine, food, music and ambiance made up for it. Recently I visited the place again, and prices have risen to Scandinavian levels (whilst the assortment shrunk?). Expect 400 to 600 lira's for a glass of wine, and many times that for a bottle. Two glasses of wine and two beers left us with a bill of 1400 lira's. Way more than other wine bars would charge, and unfortunately not worth the money. Great memories prevent me from giving less stars, but perhaps it would he justified.

I walked here for 30 mins just to have a glass of wine. The restaurant was 1/3 full and the rude manager didn't allow me to come in and have a glass. They said they were full and there was no room....don't bother comimg where they treat toursits to rudely

This is a good place to grab a bite and a drink with friends and colleagues after work. Today we have had to chance to listen to an amazing set of a DJ during a live session. Unfortunately the kitchen delivered an overcooked Burger, which was especially ordered as medium-rare, however, they have re-cooked it and served the correct dish in a short while. It was a good day overall, and I can recommend this place to both local and expats for a bite and pint.

It's a very friendly place with vintage music from the amazing 70's and lot of history around. The prices are reasonable for the area and the food is tasty. The waiters are very welcoming and warm. Would definitely recommend it if you are around.

Only food I had was a fried assortment - called something like the Kafka combo. A giant pile of fries, with some chicken and fried cheese and onion rings and some kind of egg roll type stuff and sausage. Meh. Probably good if you’re drunk and sharing with friends. Big problem was the smoke. The place was absolutely filled with it. It was overwhelming and disgusting. Do not go unless you don’t mind stinking like cigarettes for the rest of the night.

I started with the mango carpaccio with marinated seafood and red pepper sauce, which sounded intriguing on paper. Unfortunately, the flavours just didn’t work together. The seafood had a noticeable fishy smell that was quite off-putting, and the mango was non-existent. It was one of those combinations that just doesn’t make sense once you taste it. Next was the forest mushroom quiche with spicy cream sauce. This was, hands down, one of the most unpleasant dishes I’ve ever been served. The smell was immediately strong and sour — reminiscent of something gone bad. The mushrooms themselves tasted spoiled, and after one bite, I couldn’t continue. Oddly enough, the raspberry sorbet (which was supposed to be a palate cleanser, though it came out of order) was the only thing I actually enjoyed. It was light, refreshing, and bright — though by that point, I was just grateful for something that didn’t smell or taste off. For the main, I had the lamb saddle on oyster cushions with capers and tomato bruschetta. The bruschetta had a strange odour — almost like someone’s sweaty hands had been near it, which made it impossible to eat. The lamb itself was extremely overcooked and dry, lacking any tenderness or depth of flavour. Again, one bite was enough. Dessert was the chocolate cake, which was the only dish that tasted somewhat decent. However, it was overly sweet to the point where I couldn’t finish it either. Service was decent — polite and attentive enough, though I imagine even the staff knew how poor the dishes were turning out. The servers did their best to maintain a good experience, so no complaints there. Overall, the atmosphere and city view are pleasant, but that alone isn’t enough to justify the visit. The food quality and combinations were simply unacceptable for a restaurant deemed so highly. I left feeling unsatisfied and a bit nauseous, which is the last thing you’d expect from a supposedly fine-dining experience. I wanted to go for something different this time and tried the croque madame but it was disappointing to be honest. The cheese and sauce inside had a very weak taste, but it is a tough sandwich to make so I give them some credit for the effort to try such a different dish. A cosy establishment that is travel inspired and looks a pub you’d find in Europe , especially at a hostel/backpacker’s inn, I really liked the interior decor. There’s a wider range of beers, prices were quite reasonable for drinks and food. I had pad Thai but it didn’t taste like pad Thai and was too salty (too much oyster sauce probably). Overall it’s a nice place for beer and drinks with company, food would probably be a miss.

Definitely one of the best places to go eat in Ankara but that's mostly caused by there being not much places to go in the first place. There is no food service after 10 P.M. and sometimes the music is poorly chosen even though their name states "Good food, good drinks, good music". 7/10 overall. Atmosphere was great! Beautiful restaurant after walking through a very nice hotel lobby. We were originally sat behind a pillar, but when we asked about moving we were sat by the big picture windows as the sun was going down. We had a spectacular view of the city lights below and really appreciate them moving us. Service was really good and the menu was very diverse. There were dishes from England, Italy, India, Peru, Mexican, Cuban, Portuguese, Asian, and even some good ol' American pub food. It's also the only place I've seen that had a dedicated pork section of the menu. The cocktail and drink menu was also extensive. We both got different margaritas that were tasty. The food fell a bit short, at least for what we ordered. The French Onion Soup was like none we've ever had; it was not very rich or flavorful. The fried shrimp were good, I could tell they were hand battered which was a nice touch. The Cesar salad had some excellent grilled chicken on it, but the dressing tasted like it had a dijan mustard base. We enjoyed ourselves, and will definitely come back. We're excited to explore more of the menu and find what some of their specialties are.

Been here multiple times and all of the guests we’ve brought loved it. They have a variety of global cuisines that they really nail, including Moroccon, Cuban, French, Indian, Japanese and more. I love their touch with the Shephard’s Pie, and they may be the only place in Ankara that serve Okonomiyaki (Osaka style, not Hiroshima style). We’ve enjoyed all of their deserts but their Apple Crumble is our favorite, great to share with. They have vegan options, gluten free options and a variety of pork menu. They have a nice selection of wine menu with knowledgable waiters and great cocktails. Also, the waiters are great at service, from whom to start serving, and checking up on you without intruding. The atmosphere is lovely, I believe the owners are architects so they’ve put the effort on making it look cosy and classy at the same time, especially making use of that high ceiling. There’s live music (I believe every Friday and Saturday). It is usually piano or guitar backed with vocals. Maybe I’d say the volume could be a little lower to make conversations easier when near the show. This place is on the “pricey” end of the spectrum but is it definitely not expensive. I think they’ve balanced it well enough. You can make reservations, especially for the weekend but we’ve seen walk-ins a lot and you can usually get a spot.

Hands down the best and the classiest place in Ankara and Turkey. Incredible ambience welcomes you with impeccable service combined with incredible food and drinks from all around the world. It is impossible to leave this place without finding something for your pallet, catering all foodie preferences. The cocktails are the best cocktails I have ever tasted with infinite options and without skimming from the booze, they are the best. My girlfriend wasn't sure what to order so the staff asked for her for her preferences in a cocktail and mixed the perfect cocktail for her. I was particularly fond of tiramisu, it was so fresh and apparently made daily. It's also great for celebrations and big organisations. I highly recommend everyone to give it a shot here.

The Cork is one of the most international pub in Ankara that makes people feel comfortable. I really love their cocktails and app. Please dont forget to try New York sour or Margarita ! if you wanna get drunk please try both ;)

I love the atmosphere, the place is very crowded and there are different types of tables for anything you’d like to do at the bar. They serve free popcorn and the service is fine as well. Yet, the place is covered with a little too much smoke and the air conditioning isn’t enough for such a place. The smell of cigarettes didn’t go away even when I took a shower :/

Way too expensive for that neighborhood but if you order a beer bucket it is a little bit affordable. But menu prices are too expensive for the region.

A cozy place with lots of beer and nice food selection. The real star of the menu are the churros, if you have a sweet tooth make sure to go and try them, they are like little bites of heaven- nice and crispy with great chocolate sauce. The Negroni cocktail was the best that we found in Ankara, if you are not into beer so much it's a perfect choice. I'll be glad to go back and try more of the menu. Also the music selection was great, overall great place, we truly enjoyed it.
