The best irish bar we found in Salou. The staff were very friendly and there was live music each night from 10pm. Don't think they serve food so can't comment on that.

Nice atmosphere but the drink is pure dirt. Pints flat, cocktails missing half the ingredients. Great place when you drink bottles but anything mixed or on draft is pure muck

Popped in to Danny Boy when some GAA matches were on so it was busy and a great atmosphere. Drinks were pretty standard but had an enjoyable visit all the same.

I more or less exclusively drink Guinness at home and I can honestly say Danny Boy pour some of the nicest pints I’ve ever had. And if you’re lucky enough to get a table, they’ll bring it right to you! As soon as you step inside you would think you were in Ireland. Great setting with amazing staff. There was one Scottish bartender who was particularly unhinged (and I mean that as a compliment). The Rugby World Cup was on when we visited and they were showing it on screens and projectors all around the bar. Then the live music started at 10PM and the atmosphere got even livelier. Honestly can’t fault the place at all. Keep up the great work!

Everything about Koko is good the staff is amazing the location is beautiful and it is not too crowded so you can just enjoy and chill. Much love to mister boss Greg and the bartender Ronnie Coleman 2.0. We went everyday on our trip to Salou this is the best bar ever!

❌ Very disappointing experience at City Hall I recently visited City Hall nightclub and, honestly, it was a complete letdown. I ordered a specific drink and was given something else — a low-quality beverage that clearly wasn’t what I asked for. Even worse, the so-called “premium” drinks come with an extra charge, yet they taste diluted or refilled in-house. There’s nothing premium about them, except the price. When I tried to speak with the staff about the issue, I was met with indifference. No solution, no apology – just a “we only care about ourselves” attitude. It’s a shame, because the venue could have potential, but with practices like this and zero respect for customers, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. ⸻ Let me know if you’d like a shorter version for a quick review post or a more sarcastic/ironic tone

The worst "nightclub" I've ever been to, run away!!! A gloomy atmosphere, a completely empty club, non-alcoholic cocktails made in secret behind the counter, promoters who promise the earth to lure you in and ultimately deliver nothing. A total scam, disgusted to have thrown €15 out the window and ruined an evening... If I could have given it only one star, I would have.

I recently visited City Hall Salou and had an incredible time! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff. The music was on point, with talented DJs spinning the latest hits and keeping the energy high all night long

Without doubt, the worst club I've ever been too. Vip section was basically for everyone, music was terrible. People just sat around miserable. Avoid at all costs!

WOW! WOW! WOW! This place oh my days!!! The food was AMAZING! in 7 nights, we came twice because it was so good. The early deal from 7pm-8:30pm is €25 for 2 courses and at that low price you’d expect alright food, nothing amazing, but this food is to DIE for! It is such a shame that so many tourists are eating from the big chain restaurants, when the quality here is so lovely. The food speaks for itself, everything we tried was absolutely gorgeous. 2 of the best meals we had whilst we were here. It’s quiet, which makes it all the more lovely, the staff are attentive and so so kind, they don’t harass you to come in either which is a huge bonus on the tourist strip. If you want unreal service and unreal Spanish food, look no further. (No pictures to add… we ate it too fast!)

Best meal of our 10 days in Salou. Although this restaurant is located amongst the tourist specific restaurants, it offers some very good authentic Spanish cuisine. Amazing staff and service. Would definitely recommend for lovers of good food!

An incredible meal! Real authentic food, not a tourist trap. One of the best paellas I’ve ever had and my boyfriend’s steak was done to perfection. The staff were so helpful and helped us pick the perfect meal. Such generous portions and perfectly flavoured. Definitely give it a try or you’re missing out!

People may be intimidated by the slightly higher prices compared to the numerous other restaurants in the area, but it was worth every single cent. We had beautifully cooked prawns to start, followed by one of the best steaks I've had in years. The lettuce heart I had as a side probably rivals most mains in the area. Even the lettuce is amazing for goodness sake! If you're looking for a higher end meal to spoil yourselves with on holiday definitely consider Xantar.

This is what we got with 90.90€ for 3 people: * A cold duck breast with far too sweet berry sauce (picture) * Thread Sangria (not fruity) * The fried fish assortment was crumbly with the shrimp breaded with peel * The gambas in broth have been served without spoons and bread for icing. All in all, the taste could not convince. In addition, it is far too small portions for far too high prices. Don't be fooled by the location and the friendly staff, the shop is not worth it.

Absolutely loved being back in Chaplin's. Kids absolutely loved the kids acts at 20.30 every night, if you buy a kids cocktail you get to meet and greet with the cast. We meet Willy wonka, paw patrol and lilo and stitch. The acts were amazing, something different on 20.30/9 then 9/10 then 10/11 etc. the strawberry daiquiri are unreal, super nice could drink them all night. Highly recommend this place for families with kids. My little girl even got the opportunity to get up on stage and sing with one of the acts which was amazing. They even put her name on the screen behind saying featuring....

Definitely the best bar in Salou. Great live acts every night for all ages. The entertainment and DJs are brilliant. Amazing cocktails and drinks and the prices are very reasonable. The staff go above and beyond. I always have a great time when I'm here .

We ended up going twice on our recent holiday as the first experience was so good. 2 adults and 2 kids under 10. Great kids show, the kids loved the frozen show. The live shows after we’re very very good and the venue is perfect. Great table service or if you want you can walk up to the bar and get served pretty much instantly. We all loved it here and will definitely return in the future. On our second visit we booked a table with the family package and would definitely recommend doing this.

We had a great night hear for my Daughters birthday. Acts were amazing and the atmosphere was great. Went here 8 years ago and its still a brilliant night out.

My daughter and I were there a couple of Fridays ago... Shout out to Seb, who personally escorted us to the the venue!! For a rep, he saw we were being hassled and came to our rescue.,above and beyond!! We had an amazing night, the entertainment and atmosphere kept us there till 3am!!

Came here to watch one tribute act we fancied and visited several more times during our stay. Absolute fantastic venue and made to feel so welcomed by all. DJ Chris gets the party going. The entertainment crew including the singers and dancers are amazing. The bar staff are attentive, it's table service and they regularly check if you want drinks . You can order at the bar too if you prefer. We got the drinks packages a couple of nights to guarantee a seat for the shows our daughter wanted to watch, but other times we just turned up and after a little while got a seat. The cocktails/mocktails are lovely. Try it once and I can guarantee you'll be back.

Absolutely loved Chaplins have been twice now, the first night we saw a greatest showman act, then lady Gaga tribute, both fantastic, then last night we saw a Michael Jackson tribute and Becky Hill, then disco after, the DJ was brilliant and seemed to adapt the songs to his audience so we were all dancing until it shut, fantastic fun would definitely recommend and suitable for absolutely all ages, from kids through to the older grown ups 😉 cocktails were great too £10 euros each, 🥂

Came here twice on holiday, portions are enormous and of excellent quality, diverse menu with multiple choices, had the ribs and a steak and both were excellent. Also came for the breakfast which was also delicious and generously portioned. Cocktails are excellent and drinks selection is also good. If you’re staying in best cap salou and inevitably get bored of the tripe they serve at the AI buffet, this place is 100% worth a visit. One suggestion would be maybe open a touch earlier for breakfast as we noticed the majority of eaters were in route 66 from 9am.

Service was friendly but slow, not enough staff on shift. The cocktails were good - strong but good. The food was mediocre at best, my girlfriend's pizza wasn't fully cooked and tasted like an oven pizza. My chicken was good. Had to queue at the bar for about 10 minutes to get service to pay.

Very poor service. Wait staff looked like she just walked in off the street. Long wait times. Wine far too expensive for Spain. There are better taverns and pubs in Salou and La Pineda.

Here for a weeks holiday and stumbled across this bar. The food 5* very generous positions well worth it's money, whilst here it became our regular drinking place. The staff are very pleasant it's clean. Cheers guys

One meal a day was included in this restaurant with our hotel reservation, so we ate here three times, always the closed menu. Food was always good, excellent presentation but flavour wise, not as good as we expected because of the “marketing” of the restaurant. I would recommend the “cocas” and roast apple for dessert

Was not proposed a degustation menu which sounds like it might have been good. I still like to have a printed menu - chosing on my phone felt awkward Calm and somewhat cold atmosphere Wine was good I will not go again nor will I recommend it. A few restaurants in Salou that I prefer in the same category.

wow! salou is hard to find great food but you can find genuinely excellent food here....we tried the croquettes, papas bravas( their own take on papas which was excellent) the squid dish from their michellin star sister restaurant and some pizzas. and a chocolate dessert all were absolutely stunning

Great food and personal service. Took the star menu which contained the super dishes burrata pizza and the Galician beef carpaccio! Highly recommended for the price!

Stopped in this morning with my family for an Irish breakfast and really enjoyed it. Big portions—fried eggs, rashers, sausages, black & white pudding, and all the sides, cooked well. The menu is great value and has loads of choice: English and Scottish breakfasts, and even a spice bag which I thought was a nice touch. The staff were super friendly, the place spotless, and it has a cosy, home-from-home feel not far from the centre of Salou. We liked it so much we came back for dinner. My peppercorn chicken was lovely, Dad was happy with his Sylvest burger, and Mum enjoyed the chicken goujons. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious, and the coffee was great (only small issue—the tea came with UHT milk). Downsides: the scrambled eggs at breakfast were a bit overdone, and my sister’s chicken burger at dinner was plain with just one small frozen onion ring. A warm, welcoming spot with good food and friendly service—definitely worth a visit if you’re in Salou!

I would definitely not recommend The Dubliner. We called in for a drink after already having eaten (thankfully). We we relaxing with our drinks when a giant Cockroach crawled out of the woodwork and started crawling across the counter top where we were sitting. We called a member of staff and asked for the bill and pointed to the cockroach as the reason why to which she was genuinely shocked and jumped back. She fetched another member of staff who appeared to be from the kitchen who said yes that’s an issue. A third member of staff then appeared then made light of it by saying “that’s Larry, sure he’s always there” whilst trying to make a fake apology whilst all the time smirking. This infuriated my partner as much as me and was entirely unprofessional. We paid our bill and left. This wasn’t a Roach that had flown in it was obviously living in the woodwork within the premises meaning Cockroaches are present there. If it wasn’t for the third member of staffs reaction I probably would have held back on this review. I am glad we didn’t eat there at least and pity the people that have. Would NOT recommend would never go back!!

The best meal so far in Salou, great service and atmosphere in a really friendly place. Great starters mozzarella sticks and chicken wings. Big ribs mains were BIG ribs, and meaty 😋 chicken was juicy and tender. Would highly recommend

Can not fault the place. Big welcome when we arrived, service and food hit the mark. Do not expect fine dining, its simple tasty tucker. Wife's a veggie and had no problem finding something to eat. What I really loved was a propper beer having been on the road for 5wks on European beers. Happy to return!

Restaurante El Toro in Salou offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious steaks, fresh seafood, and a great selection of dishes for all tastes. The cozy atmosphere and stunning sea views from every table make it special. Friendly staff and excellent service complete the experience!

Made a reservation but where greeted with (table for 2 take a seat anywhere) waiters where friendly but the restaurant looks tired. The starters came out at different times garlic bread was nice onion rings where so so. Mains where awful pizza was tasteless, spare ribs were dry and cold could not eat them. Very disappointed with the whole experience.

Visited as a group of 8 all had different dishes. Everyone commented on the good quality of meat from the steak to the ribs, burgers and pizza... The fries are also good too. Would definitely recommend trying here whilst in Salou and would return if in Salou again.

Service was slow but seemed to only have two servers on so understandable however a manager-looking lady came over and took our drinks order as she could see we were trying to get our servers attention as we had been waiting a while so that was nice. A table of two, like us, was sat 20 minutes after we were, served and given food before we were even though we had booked our table and came in early. We ordered the calamari and the prawns as starters, they came out hot however the prawns had little to no flavour, and the calamari's were overcooked and rubbery also with no flavour. For mains we ordered the steak sandwich which had a jam on rather than the caramelised onions, and the hot dog, which came with toppings that weren't included on the menu such as pickles, crispy onions, ketchup, mustard and lettuce - as well as being in a crispy ciabatta bun rather than a hot dog bun. It filled the hole but would not go back, the servers were kind but the food and overall experience was not good, do not recommend.

Good lord awful awful food. Freezer chicken wings battered and deep fried disgusting and I wasn't chancing eating more then two. I was asked how I wanted my burger cooked so I said medium thinking that it would be a quality steak burger, it was a frozen burger with low quality gritty mince, it was medium but no way could you eat it. The burger bun was rock hard. Service was horrendous hand food and drink out at top table and just asked us to pass everything down. They were collecting plates with loads of.food left and didnt even care to ask was everything ok. Stay well clear this place is horrendous.

Went for a date night with my other half. Got to the restaurant at 6;30pm on a Saturday evening. No word of a lie every table had a reservation sign on it. Which was a good indication! The host could accommodate us until 8;30 which was perfect. We had calamari, grilled cheese prawns, manchego, tomato bread, potatoes bravas & 2 jugs of sangria!! Wow is all I can say! Tasty food! Big portions! Amazing sangria! Lovely staff! Great price ‘100% recommend if you are looking for an authentic tapas bar in Salou

Arrived for lunch without reservation and we were very well looked after. The staff are very good and know their craft well. Wine recommendation was spot on! The food was presented very well and cooked even better. The views make the whole experience worth it. This restaurant is priced slightly above other restaurants but the quality of the food and staff justify it.

rude (race based) waiters. seated us in the far corner of the restaurant (though many tables were free), asked us to order drinks without providing drinks menu, kept our table full of unnecessary cutlery/wine glasses (though we saw them removing it from other customer tables), were not smiling/friendly (in comparison to other customers). you can clearly say that they preferred locals over tourists. food was great though and the view is good. ah, they also miscalculated and added extra items to our bill. make sure you double check your bill!

Really Beautiful food. Good service. My son and I shared a €19 paella and my wife had €21 hake (ask for potatoes with it). Both were excellent. The hake was particularly lovely. Every mouthful was a delight. Top class food.

Went here for New Years eve Dinner, but booked in for 1330 owing to Covid and them closing at 1600!! Varied menu from Paella as a starter to Sirloin steak for main and a choice of Postray. Great wine selection or other drinks if desired. Full waiter service with covid regs undertaken!!

This taverna is a little gem of a place. Dog friendly albeit on the terrace which was heated and protected from the elements. The 2 waitresses were attentive friendly and helpful. The food was so tasty that we forgot to take photos of some - 😉

Great experience, delicious food and friendly staff. We ordered the set menu for the day, starter was delicious, well prepared and was just the right portion. The main entrée was an absolute flavour bomb and the house wine was a pleasure to drink. Overall, we were satisfied and very happy with the food and service we've received. Ordered takeaway for Seafood Paella, Iberico ham and homemade croquettes. Lots of seafood and right amount of salt in Paella. Iberico ham was sweet and very reasonable price! Owner was very kind and precise :)

Service is great! Price is very reasonable. Lactose free and gluten free friendly. Owner is a very interesting person and you can easily talk to him about the food, the menu and etc. They even have a lactose free ice cream and trust me - if you have a lactose intolerance usually you don’t get to eat pastries in restaurants. Went there a few times in April while attending a Walking football Tourament near by,was always made to feel welcome by Tony & his staff and had great service. Will be going back next year when I'm over there

About 10 years ago we came on holidays to Cambrils and ate in the sports bar next door to our apartment complex. We got to know some of the staff that year and one night we ended up talking about how Courtney really loves her broccoli 😂 The next night Tony said he had a surprise for Courts, he made her a a special dinner with broccoli! That is one of the little random memories that has stuck with our family over the years. This year we came back to Cambrils for the first time since then and were chatting about that memory again but we were sad to find out that the bar was closed down. Instead we went across the road to The Mucky Duck Sports Bar and Grill Cambrils. While there, we spotted someone who felt very familiar to us and we met some other new people who were very warm towards us from the moment we sat down. Once we saw how they were with Courtney we had to asked if he was the same Tony that we met years before. All these years later and Tony is still as kind and thoughtful as he has always been to our family but especially Courtney. The staff reserved the same table for us every time they knew we were coming, they said hello everyday when we passed and they even made her multiple cups of very milky tea and another special broccoli dinner. There is a lot to be said for a place that you feel so welcomed and personally cared for but this means even more to you when you are traveling with someone who has additional needs. I would highly recommend this place if you're ever in Cambrils. Very friendly staff. Tony is very good host even taught my husband how to open the bottles (without soaking himself) using the bottle opener on the bucket of drinks. Reasonable priced food. Watched him deal with some halfwit English guy, very professionally. Good for families

Best bar in this area by far - Top food - Top staff - Very reasonable prices - You are always close to a TV screen wherever you sit - All sport covered. Tony is the nicest guy in the Costa Dorado. Can't wait to go back.

On our last day of holidays we came in to sample the lunch here, and wou what can I say, the best of the best, our steaks cooked to our liking and perfect. Would really recommend this restaurant to the queen, it absolutely fab. Lovely staff, and very friendly owner, so nice.

Terrible evening service. We ate here for lunch yesterday and was happy enough but came here for dinner tonight and the only memeber of staff on was grumpy and not very polite. We finished our meal and despite in the end quite obviously looking for the waiter he ignored us, even after looking at us at least 6 times. My daughter had a desert included and she was desperate for her ice cream. When he eventually cleared the table (after I went in an blatantly asked it to 've cleared) he didn't acknowledge the delay or anything. Shame about the service. I wanted to try the steak next time, it actually look ok!

If I could rate as 0 stars I would. Food was terrible. We are a family of 3 and both adult meals were horrific. Bravas sauce was a mix of ketchup and mayonnaise, how is this bravas?? We witnessed staff take frozen pizza from a box and sent to kitchen to cook. Kids burger was literally gray in colour and inedible. Chips and scampi were frozen from packet, likely Lidl as all condiment seemed to be from Lidl. Staff were unfriendly and not a smile to be had. We only ate here as our first choice 20 yards down the road was full. Needless to say we will never return.

Me and my friend came here every night of our holiday and loved it! The staff are super friendly and nice and always made you feel welcome. We had some great laughs with them. Felt very safe and it was a great atmosphere. We had so much fun. We’ll be back.

Beautiful tapas, best waiter he was so friendly and helpful. We had a giggle working out the all Spanish menu together. Chef came out to say hello and check everything was ok, it was stunning! Generpus portions, my partner was almost beaten by his 4 plates. Best steak I've had in years, he said the black pudding was amazing. Best patatas bravas we've ever had, I could happily eat only that for the rest of my life.

We visited this quaint tavern at the end of October. The tapas was so delicious that we returned on our last night in Salou. The waiter was very patient with my Spanish, and was happy to recommend desserts such as the leche frío which I highly recommend. All in all, for tapas for two with desserts and a bottle of wine, it was around €70, which was well worth it in my opinion. The inviting atmosphere really made this place that definitely has some of the best food in Salou. 5/5 stars.

Delicious food and great service from both the Chef and staff who run this understated establishment. We had an excellent evening as a family where both us adults and our young children were very well catered for. Will definitely be back!

Our dinner at El Totxo was fantastic. Friendly, attentive service from David & Fernando. We had gorgeous meat tapas followed by chuletón. Fernado’s cooking is sublime, amazing flavours off every dish. Everything was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be coming back for more of Fernando’s beautiful food.

We prebooked our frontline table and worth it for the sunset . Food was nice , I had seabass, with veg & potatoes, my husband had red mullet (that’s all that came though so a little surprised), So he ordered some chips to go alongside! We cycled and they had bike stands which was good.

Just came back from a 2 week holiday in Salou. We happened across Murphy's by accident, or was it fate. Either way, it made our holiday that bit more special. Benny McGrath the owner of the bar is the most welcoming man. He and his staff, Tony especially, made us feel so comfortable in their company. My wife, our 14 year old son Cian, his mate Ben and myself spent most of our evenings at Murphy's and where very happy to do so. Excellent company, excellent food, excellent choice of beers,wine and spirits. If you go to Salou, it's a must. Trust me, you won't regret it. A massive thank you to everyone at Murphy's. Bye the way, Benny's Brother Christy also has a bar/ restaurant nearby called The Guinness Tavern, which is also worth a visit.

Was kinda end of season in salou so jot much atmosphere. I ordered a guinnes and a black current . Bar man took it as blackcurrant in the guinness. I did say I was a full irish man and that's blasphemy. He gave me another . Left half it there. Not the best guinness I've had .

DO NOT VISIT THIS BAR!! My girlfriend was vulgarly harassed by the OWNER of the premisis when we came here on our holiday to Salou. She was told to 'put some clothes on' by a man pictured in the image of the pub's management. The barman pathetically laughed at her shocked face and told us 'not to mind him' after which this creep said it again. We had only just entered the pub on our night out and left again immediately. Such a rotten excuse for a man and his tacky pub with it's hostile atmosphere won't last long at all harassing it's customers, especially young people clearly trying to enjoy their holiday and get a taste of home! Avoid this pub at all costs and if anyone from the management team sees this review I would like to demand a response explaining themselves!

The best meal I had in Salou. We visited this restaurant twice during our trip to Salou and were always greeted by the friendliest staff. The food and overall atmosphere were perfect. I particularly recommend the amargarita or sweet tooth cocktail and my partner and I agreed that the fish and chips was the best we’d had in our lives. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

I had an absolute amazing time here right down to the service and food and the decor is unbelievable. The service here has just been unbelievable even thought they are at the end of the season they made everything is enjoyable and the food was just unbelievable it was honestly better then the food restaurants at home and other places I've been. Beautiful bar and beautiful private area of beach. Staff are friendly and beautiful. My only complaint is that the private beach area is used at night for dates and such (which is no problem) but during the day when families use the facilities, there are hundreds of cigarette butts in the sand where the kids are trying to play and build sand castles. This is easily fixed I feel. An ash tray on the table and a rake over the sand each morning. Otherwise, fabulous location. Lovely staff.

Prices to sit nearby are outrageous however you go on holiday to spend money and its a lovely view and extremely convenient having this little bar/restaurant so closeby. We enjoyed pizzas, ice creams, drinks and hotdogs during our week stay. Everything was decently priced and very tasty, hard to believe such a small place keeps up with demand and provides pizzas for barely 5 Euros! Highly recommended and probably the friendliest staff we were served by during our stay in Spain!

We treated ourselves to 5 dishes , all seafood bar the iberico plate. Seafood wasn't at its best, razor clams still very gritty. Atmosphere and surroundings were very good . Such a shame about the food and 120 euro for 2 of us.

Popped in for a coffee and to watch the sunset across the beach. It was very busy, so service was a bit slow, but very friendly and helpful. Coffees were lovely and followed them up with a couple of cocktails. Quite pricey, but then you get what you pay for here. Didn't try the food so can't comment, but seeing what was being served to other customers, it looked quite decent.

However we soon overcame that disappointment with the quality of the meals that we ordered. The croquettes with their tiny fried eggs were gobbled up by the 3 year old leaving us to enjoy fantastic duck and tuna. Not a cheap restaurant but the food was good and worth the visit

Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Spoke good English. Croquettes were amazing, as was the duck, but the veal cheek we couldn't eat. The taste and texture was just off, we tried to get it down out of politeness but couldn't! Brownie nice enough, fairly average but decent portion

Convenient location by the taxi rank at Salou, overlooking the beautiful beach by the fountain. This "Hard Rock Knock Off" offers a wide selection of drinks, cocktails and food. The music is very repetitive and mostly generic rock and roll, and you often have to wait a long time for your cocktails to arrive. The decor is interesting, and worth a little wander around to enjoy. The food is tasty, but it's definitely more of an American style diner.

Late Lunch with a View Stopped in for a late lunch after a day on the beach. The restaurant is set right by the water, offering absolutely stunning views—definitely one of its biggest draws. It's a very commercial spot, clearly catering to a steady flow of beachgoers and tourists, but still manages to feel relaxed. The food was good—nothing mind-blowing, but fresh and satisfying after a day in the sun. What really stood out was the service: the staff were attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Perfect place to unwind and soak in the scenery. Would return for the view alone.

Fancied a meal with a view. Thought we’d chance what looked more like a lively evening bar. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food on offer. The service was all very friendly and you can see how hard the boys work to get you in off the street!

A delightful hard rock café, great selection of drinks that come with sizzlers, music as fun as it gets, party lighting, next to a beach. Staff working hard but appearing to enjoy themselves a lot, too. Keep up the good work!

Nicely located right opposite the beach. The place looks nice and cosy. We had ice cream and drinks, all good. The service however is very, very slow some of had finished their drinks whilst other were still waiting. Updated review: Due to the fantastic location, we gave it a second try and had a lunch there: The service was much better and there was nothing to complain about at all! Friendly waiters and great burgers and milkshakes! So fair is fair I’m reviewing my review and increased the rating For Rock and Grill Salou! I consider our first visit to be bad luck with perhaps bad circumstances/understaffed for the working staff.

We had the best meal ever at Bamboo. Houda was an amazing host. She waited on our every whim, spoke great english, and even double checked every allergy concern we had. We were very disappointed with the food. The fish was not cleaned properly and still had the innards, which gave it a bitter and unpleasant taste. The calamari were also not cleaned and were extremely rubbery. The only good things we had were the paella and the cocktails, which were actually tasty. We’re really disappointed with our experience here, as the food was awful. We visited this place two years ago and had a much better impression — the food back then was amazing! We came back because we had a good memory of the restaurant, but after today, we wouldn’t return again.

A beautiful restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good food. However, the customer experience is not just about what's on the plate, hospitality and service play an essential role. Unfortunately, this is where the restaurant falls short. From the moment we arrived, the menus were handed to us quite abruptly, almost thrown on the table, without a word or a smile. Once the dishes were served, no one came back to check if everything was okay or to offer anything else. It was clear the staff were overwhelmed it was difficult to get their attention, even for a simple request. Service was slow, and the overall impression was one of poor organization. I truly hope this feedback will be taken constructively, because with better service, the experience could genuinely match the quality of the food and the setting

We visited on the opening day of the season, 4th April. The grilled shrimp were some of the best I have had, and this was my first Paella. I found the price of 20 Euro Per person to be expensive for a fish that is heavily just rice. However the taste was amazing. Great attentive service and the wait for food was not long. Great cocktails too.

Really cool looking place with nice wine and a very cool vibe. We really REALLY wanted the food to be as good as it looked but something was missing. It was all fantastically presented but maybe we were spoiled by a couple of better restaraunts in the area. I would definitely go again for lunch as there were some things like the crispy chicken that were very nice but there are some really good restaraunts nearby that we would take pole position for us. Still, a pleasant experience and always busy so worth a visit!

We were trying to patronize this establishment, however, an employee ran to the door to stop us and say that they were closed at 9:00 PM and that they were full.. with visible tables empty....Two hours later... after enjoying and finishing our meal elsewhere...the restaurant still had several people sitting and eating. They were obviously still open.....???

Found this place via google reviews. We didn’t make a reservation but staff were nice and tried to accommodate us. I highly recommend trying duck here. We loved the food so much so we came back again the next day for a dinner and ordered almost the same thing. Very nice interior decor, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere for a nice dinner in Salou.

Found this gem in Salou on our last day. Wish we have found this sooner! Off season in Salou is hard to find open restaurants that advertise their seasonal hours. We found Besso in a search and headed there close to 5pm. A lot of Spanish restaurants close their kitchen at 5pm and reopen at 8pm. Not only did they keep the kitchen open for our party of 10, they really made us fee welcome. Their food is reasonably priced and excellent! The tapas are amazing. Highly recommend the steak or salmon tartare. There’s options for fussy eaters too. My Mum had the angus burger. Drinks were great. Wine menu was also good. Clarisse and Max were excellent servers. Thanks so much for accommodating all of us.

Stumbled upon this place while out for a walk with the kids. It looked nice so we went in. It's trying very hard to be trendy, low key house music and fake greenery everywhere. We ordered drinks and had a look at the menu - which is only available on a qr code. The kids menu had macaroni which is their favourite so 2x macaroni and a burger for me. I'll start by saying the burger was OK not bad, not brilliant but not bad. However, the macaroni was literally 2 bowls of dry pasta! No sauce, no filling, no nothing, just dry pasta ! I've never herd of a restaurant serving dry pasta as a dish, even on the kids menu. I even asked as I thought it must be a mistake but no that's the dish - dry pasta ! What does that cost 3c charge €10 !! Wow !!! Goes without saying I would not recommend.

Went for a late dinner here. Was very busy with families, which is a good sign for us. Everyone enjoyed their food. It was a little more expensive than some other restaurants we ate at. There was a game of bingo going on in the section next to us, which we would have like to joined in. Pool tables, karaoke available, too. We would return to get involved in more activities.

We were staying at the cye next door and we paid a few visits to lazy wave on our trip. We love coming here everytime we stay in salou. Staff are super friendly and nothing is too much bother. Seating area inside and out and well maintained and the atmosphere is brilliant. The nightly entertainment is a must

We came here in the end of september around 16:30. It wasn't really busy. The food is eatable but the service was terrible. You can definitely see the difference of service they provide between the tourist and locals. It took them almost 25 minutes and asking 4 times to 3 different servers until we got the bill. While they had time talking and joking with each other. When we asked for the beer we ordered that they definitely forgot because my drink they already brought, he reacted very irritated and then brought us a completely different beer then we ordered. They didn't bother to provide us the service we expected. There was only 1 that gave us a welcoming treatment, while the rest if them looked like they are almost burned out... They all know that they will receive enough customers because they are indeed laying very central. But I strongly recommend to walk a little bit further to find somewhere else to spend your money.

After having several meals here, we thought a nice dessert treat would be nice before we left. Ordered 4 desserts the first 2 were wrong, of which 1 was replaced then a 25 minute wait for the other 2 of which 1 was incorrect but was accepted, every time we spoke with the waiter no problem was the reply. I never like leaving negative comments, but this was the next level, especially as it was 1pm and very quiet. A very dissatisfied experience.

Amazing novelty cocktails, but large and worth the price. First time I have had a mojito in a pint glass! Friendly happy attentive but not over bearing wait staff. Didn't have food but what saw on other tables it all looked large portions and everyone cleared their plates.

We ate dinner here twice while visiting Salou recently. The steak was amazing - full of flavour and melt in the mouth. A word of caution though - if you like your steak rare then you will not be disappointed. If you like it well done be sure to specify that to your server. We had carrots and hummus as a side dish along with potatoes and onions. The desserts were fantastic. I ordered the pineapple one (see pic) which was delicious. There was a huge selection of wines too along with the usual cocktails, beers and soft drinks.

Service was quick and friendly, no complaints there. I asked for medium rare steak and it was definitely medium+ Myself and my daughter struggled to eat the meat, we did not enjoy the food. The lettuce and onion side came covered in dressing, no need at all for dressing, the fries were also oily and the steak was salty on top of being overcooked for what was requested. Lettuce and onion taste fine on their own, there is no need to dress. Edit: The steak came precut by the chef, the chef would have been able to see that it was not medium rare. I don't like waste so I did not want to send it back. It should of came out the way I requested it. The onion and lettuce side listed on the menu did not mention a dressing, if it had stated it on the menu I would have said hold the dressing please. The restaurant and staff are lovely, but, for what seems like a high scale restaurant, I would expect my steak cooked the way I requested without having to send it back. Thank you.

Excellent quality food! We had the prawn croquettes and tomato with olive oil and salt bread to start which both very nice. The bread was very refreshing. For mains we both got fillet steaks which were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! For side we had mash potato and padron peppers. Now just be careful with the peppers as I asked what they were and I was told green peppers. Now technically this was true but they were actually green chilli peppers so my mouth got a shock. Fortunately I like spice so enjoyed those too. For desert we got chocolate brownie and ice cream. I needed the ice cream to cool down my tongue from the peppers 🤣 For drinks we had a lovely bottle of red wine and a pornstar martini This restaurant is definitly more fine dining than many around, the food the best we have had so far in cambrils and the bill the highest at €120 but was worth every penny. Great atmosphere too with nice decor, music and the kitchen is open so you can see the cooking going on. Highly recommend

all the food was very oversalted, you couldn't taste it, only salt, when I commented to the manager she said that all the food in this region is so salty and you have to ask them not to salt it next time, but I've been living here for 2 years and that's not true. Then she added that I can order something sweet if my octopus is too salty. In general, the food here looks beautiful but it's not tasty, I don't recommend it!

Had our first meal out in Salou here. Friendly staff, quick and simple food. Kids enjoyed their meals. Thought my fish looked a bit like frozen fillets rather than fried fish BUT it was actually really tasty. The added garlic mayo was amazing. Ham and cheese toast was "One of the best ever" and the pizza "best in Salou". Beer was coldand they had a queen music on and sports on the TV. Recommend for a family meal.

Definitely will be back tomorrow night to try out the food as we have only had cocktails tonight. We were already thinking of coming here and then we came across Dave (I believe is his name) who handed us a leaflet and had a genuine conversation with us, rather than just trying to pull us in. After having some food out, we came back along to Antalya II for some cocktails which were absolutely great. The staff and locals who come here often are all genuine and down to earth people, even as far as me leaving my bag behind by accident and them keeping it for me when I noticed 5 minutes later. If this had been anywhere on the strip of Salou, I’m not sure I’d have gotten it back, so I left them a tip as a thank you. Really looking forward to trying out a proper curry tomorrow night, don’t let me down! 😉 Thank you for your hospitality and being so welcoming! UPDATE: Came back for food and I have to say, the Tikka Masala curry was beautiful, I asked for it slightly spicier and it was perfect. We’ll definitely be back before we go back home, great food, great service, great people and great value for the portion sizes you get too.

A really great off the main strip restaurant. It might not look like a 5 star food stop but please try it as you will be very happy. Ate 3 nights out of 6 here and a couple Of breakfasts. Only had a cappuccino, which was truly the best one I've had since my first few days here in salou. And I have to share this because its the cheapest cappuccino I've had so far. I didn't have food, but looking at the menu, (while enjoying my cappuccino) I was delightfully impressed. Very reasonable priced meals 😋 I can't wait to try the full Irish breakfast, as I'm from C/O Dublin, bacon and cabbage on the menu, an Irish favourite of mine 😋 And a big thank you to Kevin who made me feel very welcome. Looking forward in working my way through the menu for the next 11 days of my holiday.

Amazing food, brunch, drinks and service. We got the prawn tacos and Dubai pancakes aswell as an acaii bowl and dragon fruit detox everything was great! The drink was a little bitsy due to fruit seeds but everything was fresh and service was great. Bit pricey but makes sense as it’s beach front.

If you are looking to have some brunch I would recommend giving O'Clock a shot. I had a white orea pancakes with orea milkshake. The food was really good and the presentation was on point. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice too. It's the first place I observed in Salou using 3D printed pieces. You get a little 3d printed key chain with every pancake meal which is a nice touch. Would definitely go back again if I'm in the area. Worth checking out if you're in Salou.

This place is unbelievable. The cocktail presentation and taste are out of this world. I am not kiding, serious mixologists. The food is also delicious, I had the nachos 😋 A must visit when in Sanguli or Cambrils resorts.

Pub off the main strip. No longer a Welsh bar but run by a Scotsman, but still the odd bit of Welsh decor about. Drinks are cheap but only a little selection.

If you're looking for a pub with a dartboard in Salou, then The Barrels is well worth a visit. It's not the busiest bar but it's friendly and Jenny (the new owner) is really welcoming. She has 3 sets of darts all laid out ready to go and a great range of drinks - local beers on draft, bottles and spirits. Definitely scores a 180 with me!

Colin is now running the bar. Live football shown. Went in on my own to watch MU v Newcastle game. Made to feel very welcome. After match played killer pool and darts on proper board with expats. Good music played. Well worth a visit.

The finest restaurant in all of Salou and easily the best service. Jorge and Carlos are wonderful welcoming people, and the atmosphere is so friendly. The portions are very generous and so reasonably priced, so much better than anything on the beach. Any visitor to Salou needs to visit El Tapeo de Pepe to get the best experience. It's everything that is brilliant about Spain rolled into one.

Tried Tapeo de Pepe with family tonight after reading the excellent reviews. We ate patatas bravas, chipirones, muscles a la marinera, almejas al Jerez and grilled squid. Everything was perfect, couldn’t fault a thing. Staff were friendly and efficient. Will certainly go back and highly recommend. English / Spanish family 😊

Great fun and very friendly bar man. Would definitely recommend this place for a quick game and a drink. Some of the holes are a little in disrepair, but for 5 euro you can't really complain. You can also bring your drinks around with you as there is tables scattered around each hole. Would avoid standing near the pond for too long as it has lots of flys (potentially mosquitos but I don't know).

The bar is nice with great staff. Cheap mini golf at 5€ each but you get what you pay for, the course is quite tired and rundown but still fun. Needs to be better lit at night too. The drinks are good and cheap. Great location.

We were really happy that this place has re-opened and been renovated. Minigolf is good fun and the cocktails are pretty tasty, €5 each for mini golf so it's a fairly cheap and fun time.
