Had to pay a visit at lunchtime to test the new Summer menu and as per usual, Levain did not disappoint! The atmosphere is unique and the menus offer a wide range of both all-day breakfast and lunch dishes along with the sweets and drinks. We ordered two fresh Summer salads, one with cold smoked salmon and one plain, accompanied by an oat cappuccino. Really tasty! The staff was kind to explain us how the ordering process works the first thing we entered, even without us asking. The customer’s toilet had run out of soap and was not the tidiest I’ve seen, but otherwise an excellent experience! <3

One of the better brunch spots I went to in Helsinki! They have delicious brunch options, pastries, and specialty coffee. It’s everything I would ever want for a nice, weekend brunch. I had the Eggs Norwegian, a Flat White, and an Almond Croissant. Everything was really good and I was very pleased with the quality of the food.

Absolutely fantastic service, great coffee and baked goods. Did not try foods but they looked good as well. Not the best for coffee, but due to good location, large menu and fantastic service, Levain is a good choise.

Lovely egg sandwich. Had the menu with egg sandwich, müsli, nuts and yogurt, juice and coffee. 21€. Asked for cappuccino instead of filtered coffee, had to pay an extra euro for that. I total 44€ for two. A wonderful brunch, just a little too salty from time to time. Very friendly staff. You have to order and pay at the counter. Water, cutlery, napkins are provided. You just have to get them yourself. We will definitely return! 👍🏼☺️

Was visiting the rock church, however as the Church did not open until 10am, we decided tk fo in for a quick drink. Ordered the hot chocolate and the matcha latte. The hot chocolate was great and not tok sweet and the matcha latte actually tasted like great quality ceremonial grade matcha. The latte was rich and well balanced. Customer service was wonderful and friendly and this cafe is located just down the street from the rock church (probably a 30 second walk).

The place is very popular, so finding a seat can be challenging. Although the name suggests it’s a bakery, the pastries seem rather ordinary. They look good, but the taste is nothing special. The savory avocado sandwich was left uneaten because it had a bitter taste. Savory sandwiches would be better if they were grilled—without grilling, the bread is quite dense and not as enjoyable. The coffee comes with free refills, which is a nice touch. Overall, I’d rate it a 3.

The place was pretty empty and quiet when we went there. We got two pastries to-go. We didn’t have to wait long in line and the pastry selection was pretty wide. The prices were okay considering it’s in Helsinki. The taste was also quite good.

Don't be fooled from the outside, which looks very sterile and just attached to a fancy hotel. Step through the door, down the steps, through the glass doors and into a little gem. Its constantly busy and has a very vibrant/bustling but relaxed atmosphere. Around the corner you'll find an array of fresh bread sandwiches with allsorts of fillings, pastries (the cinnamon bun is gorgeous😉) and fancy cakes. There are a range of coffees and teas too. You can sit at a table or more comfy sofas. It has a lovely decor.

Had the seasonal bun which had raspberry jam and vanilla cream with cardamom. Just perfect with a silky macchiato enjoyed on the terrace area in front. Peaceful with beautiful views of the park opposite.

Cute bakery with nice atmosphere. The pastries were good and so was the coffee. The price is normal for Helsinki. I just wish they had a few more comfortable seating options. We had to sit in a corner and the table was too low and small

Great little bakery connected to the St George Hotel. Super comfortable dining area. Great coffee . I also enjoyed a scone - buttery and delicious with homemade jam. My son enjoyed the almond croissant.

I enjoy a great Latte, I am a HUGE espresso lover. The presentation of pastries were very enticing. So we decided to try both sweet and savory, paired with lattes. The prices were moderate, but truthfully just a bit on the pricey side if I were to be totally honest. To balance the price you're paying; the quality of the food was excellent. The bakery is on the smaller side, and was very crowded when we arrived. We found a space near the window and awaited or food. The presentation and taste was divine, and the lattes were PERFECT. The only down side is that it can get very crowded and it is not a spacious vibe, like the beauty of Heritage Cafe, but it is it's own jewel of a quaint spot for a quick latte and top tier pastry.

Incredible place for breakfast or coffee. Super nice pastries, breakfast options and incredible bread. Matcha is great too :) Can definitely recommend and don’t forget to try the lemon poppy seed bun

Cute little cafe! A must-visit if you’re in Helsinki. Coffee was decent, beautiful minimalist interior, and the pastries are serve on a pottery plate. The hazelnut fig cake is delicious 😋 friendly barista too!

Cozy little place with breakfast options, baked goods and other desserts. Loved the interior. There are several seats inside and plenty more outside, with heaters to keep you warm. My only feedback is that I wished the pastry of the sausage roll was warmer and crispier. The roll was kind of cold and the pastry was soggy. Perhaps it's just a personal preference. I still enjoyed it despite that and would come back here to try other things in the future.

Lovely cafe and bakery in the Kallio neighborhood. Beautiful pastries and delicious coffee. We were lucky to visit on a sunny Sunday morning and were able to sit outside. It is a five minute walk from our accommodation at CityBox Helsinki. Highly recommend. Enjoy!

Café Regatta is a charming lakeside café located in a picturesque red cottage by the water. It's a bit of a scenic trip from the city center, but the peaceful ambiance makes it a relaxing destination. The café offers a cozy atmosphere with outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying a coffee and pastry while taking in the lakeside views. The cinnamon roll, though not as moist as expected, had a delightful cardamom fragrance that added a unique touch. The coffee, however, had a slight off taste, possibly due to the water used, which gave it a somewhat plasticky flavor. While the food and drink may not be exceptional, the tranquil setting and rustic charm of the cottage make Café Regatta a pleasant spot to unwind. It's a nice place to visit if you're in the area, but perhaps not worth a special trip solely for the refreshments.

it was such a romantic little spot surrounded by beautiful nature and lake views. We had a blueberry pie, a cinnamon bun, and a butter bun. all were freshly baked and absolutely delicious. The buns have a strong cardamom flavor, which will be amazing for cardamom lovers like me. but might feel a bit intense if you’re not used to it. As my husband said, after having a cardamom-rich bun, even the coffee started to taste a bit like scorched reindeer 🤣 in a funny, unexpected way! We walked here from Helsinki city center about 40 minutes on mostly flat paths, and it was a pleasant, scenic walk. The café has a rustic, homey atmosphere with outdoor seating right by the water. Perfect place to relax, chat, and soak in the Finnish charm. Highly recommend stopping by!

Beautiful cozy romantic coffee spot behind Sibelius Park! We got here by mistake because we were visiting Sibelius Park. After we dis all the touristy stuff there, a walk along the a lake called our attention and we walked over there. Then we saw this cute little cabana. We didn’t try any of the food (which looked amazing) because we had already eaten but we had a tea and spent a lovely time here. I am surprised I didn’t read about this place but it is something you should consider to stop by when visiting Helsinki.

Helsinki: --- Cafe Regatta is a charming little spot with an absolutely beautiful view of the water — definitely the highlight of the visit. The café itself has a cozy, rustic feel, which adds to its character. The coffee and snacks are decent, though nothing too special. It’s a nice place to stop by and enjoy the surroundings, especially on a sunny day, but it’s more about the atmosphere and location than the food itself.

Time flies and nothing changes. Luckily. Atmosphere here is amazing, so every time I’m in Helsinki, I’m coming back. Drinking coffee or a cacao here on the coast is just a pure pleasure. And prices are reasonable although it’s a really popular place.

It is expensive. Americsni 5.20, the famaus dessert 9.90. The buffet in the weekdays is more affordable and you can refill your table&coffee. They can give you an hour if you came without reservation. I came here sunday 11:30 and it was really bussy inside. But they are saying that your order will be in 15 min. So it is good to be informed.

Oldest Bakery in Helsinki. We decided to start our day here for breakfast and experience the oldest cafe. During the week breakfast is a buffet.. a very good buffet at that. We did also order a cinnamon bun as well and it was awesome. Staff were so cute and lovely. The atmosphere felt modern but also historic. We enjoyed our breakfast here. I have heard there is long lines for the bakery but we were here really early and not in high season so there were no crowds. You can make reservations for breakfast.

Staff helped me to choose the cake. I had budapest cake. It was softer and smoother with mandarin inside. Coffee could be improved.I added open buffet pictures as well.

Absolute must-visit if you love cafés. This one has gorgeous interior, amazing staff and the best sweets. The cinnamon bun I had was huge, full of spices and butter. Many people here argue that it is too expensive but we spent 30 euros incl. the tip and I would pay even more for this experience.

Had a delicious bowl of smoked reindeer soup with bread, a cake and tea for about 30 euros. The food was great but I do think it's a bit pricey.

Visiting Helsinki for the first time and a friend recommended Ekberg right away to get a taste of a classic Helsinki foods. Weather was lovely so we sat outside. I tried the salmon soup which was really nice and a cup of cappuccino. Everything was perfect. Staff were friendly and service was great.

Went there to pick up a quick breakfast before work, coffee and the croissant were good. I’d give the place a five star if there would be a better pick up coffee cup. Otherwise pretty good I recommend to test the place, at summer it will be nice to sit outside on the chairs.

Absolutely mind-blowing stuffed pies make Hopia one of the best lunch places in Helsinki. The cabbage pie is a must-try!

Very good freshly made ham/cheese/egg sandwitch, korvapuusti and cappuccino.

I really wish the local cafe was better. The first problem comes if you try to actually sit there for your coffee or meal. The place itself is quite nice and cozy, but the ambiance is ruined by a giant, obviously defective soda fridge in the main space. It sounds like a broken lawnmower is in the room and is quite unpleasant. I understand it is probably expensive to replace but this has been going on for years. My second gripe is with the sandwiches. They are gas station quality, with vegetarians paying the same for a sandwich with the meat removed. Forget avocado, hummus a nice sauce or anything. Its just bread, cheese, lettuce and a pickle if you're lucky. The sweet stuff is pretty good, I just wish they tried a bit harder. Also they open a bit too late for me to ever have time for breakfast (8.30)

In a world where everything is sushi this and cappuccino that, Hopia offers you original Finnish cafe experience with Finnish food and actual, honest filter brewed coffee. Place is clean and cozy and the products are well made.

We went here 3 times during our time in Helsinki!! Loved this bakery that was right around the corner. Amazing service by the same older women who even remembered us and was so nice explaining different items. Recommended local favorite, meat pie. Which was packed full and in a slightly sweet crispy donut like. Amazing! Husband loved the salmon soup. Then the sugar butter buns and coffee were the best. Loved the cozy decor inside and local experience. Highly recommend!! Take your time in the morning to just relax and dine in here

The salmon soup was so good (very underrated compared to other places). I drank it till the last drop. 🥹 In the set (€9) also offer bread and tea/coffee which is considered a very good price. The meat pie was also nice for those who love carbs like me. Plus the lovely aunty was very kind and caring. Will definitely visit again for the salmon soup (and other bakeries too).

Got to try Runeberg (seasonal for a month), laskiaispulla (cream bun) and their famous lahapiirakka (meat pie). All were super delicious and home made feeling. Store decor is old school and cosy, amongst the modern cafes in town. The lady working at the time was very friendly and helpful, and explaining which items are traditional and history. Close to the old market and harbour. Highly recommend dropping by.

Paula who assisted me this morning was beyond sweet and incredibly helpful. I asked for vegan options, and she personally walked me around the store showing me everything from chocolate and jelly beans to pastries, sandwiches, and cake. Please note that they do not carry oat milk version of Karl Fazer chocolatees. I came in around 1000 in the morning, and it wasn’t crowded at all. The flagship store is absolutely beautiful. I had a coffee with soy milk that was delicious, and I enjoyed sitting outside while I peoole watched. CC accepted

Enjoyed this historic Finnish cafe for both breakfast and late afternoon snack. The memory of Geisha coffee and chocolates made us return. We enjoyed the pastries, ice cream and the candy and chocolate store that fulfilled our needs for Finnish gifts for our return home. Also great people (and dog) watching spot. Clean bathroom downstairs.

Fazer is the oldest café in Helsinki, so we wanted to experience it at this branch. The desserts were really good — we loved them both in terms of presentation and taste. Dessert prices range between 7 and 9 euros. In addition to the dining area, they also offer packaged chocolates.

I fall in love twice in this city. First I fall in love with the cakes here. It's beautiful and choclatey. And second I fell in love with this girl that I went the whole country with. I can't just get rid of these feelings until now.

If you come to Helsinki and have no idea where to go, then I would happily suggest Café Engel ! Close to the Cathedral, it's a lovely little place, with delicious food - and I have gone multiple times with friends. I would also heartily recommend their salmon soup, my personal fave !

Our first stop after arriving in Helsinki, Café Engel was the perfect place for a tired traveler. The ambiance is calm, airy, and welcoming, making it easy to relax after a journey. I had reindeer meat and mashed potatoes with sparkling water. It was fresh but for first try it has different taste especially red berries. As a desert I had blueberry cake it was so delicious.

Food was great. We got the blueberry desserts. Can't the names but those were really good! Price-wise, it was okay but this is the first cafe we tried in Helsinki so I have no reference to compare it with.

We visited Café Engel during a weekday lunch. Although the restaurant was quite busy, we managed to find seats without much difficulty. Orders were placed through the waitress, and I chose the meatballs. The food was served promptly, and the meatballs were decent. However, I wished there had been more sauce to accompany the mashed potatoes for a more satisfying balance of flavours.

If you are here for coffee or cake, you might get disappointed, but instead, you can enjoy the vibe and interior. At least I can feel the care and dedication into the cafe of the owner. I like all the details the cafe has. Sincerely hope that the quality of coffee and cake can be improved, but indeed, with this price range in Helsinki, hardly anything to complain.

Super cosy cafe with slightly higher prices for the area. Staff is good and they have a cool hiring policy :) Internet definitely could be faster, but there are enough places to charge your devices and places to seat comfortably. Dreaming of their brunch right now. We went in for coffee not really hungry and when I saw the brunch buffet table I couldn’t help myself. For US standards it was a bit pricey but was totally worth it. Loved how fresh the food was. Enjoyed their unique to me way of serving eggs as a sort of crust-less quiche with carrots and herbs. The space was really light, open and modern with plants. Loved the overall experience and highly recommend.

I found this place when I have transit for my next bus, decided to drop by since my stomach crumble to get a breakfast 😁 I ordered cinnamon bread/roll (forgot what is name on the menu I just pointed at it) and cappuccino. I like the taste and softness on the bread, the taste so yummy and combine with the coffee it’s really unbeatable combination.

Coffee was on the acid note, in the range of my experience in Helsinki so far, and in a lovely cup set. Attention to details with candles on the table and cushions, make for a cosy and inviting space. And a warm “Kiitos Paljon” 🫶to the friendly and patient staff member who was kind enough to let my try order in Finnish and replied in Finnish, 🇫🇮

The lady at the counter is so sweet and the overall atmosphere is very peaceful, the food and coffee are excellent. We had the Hazelnut Croissant and Quiche and they were extraordinary, i definitely recommend this place!

Such a great, lovely, cute and girlish place with everything pink and adorable, I just love how it looks inside, the aroma of fresh bread and a good selection of cakes and pastry. Was hunting for the Granny Smith's mousse cake there for a while since it was sold out every time I arrived, but finally got it and it was very gentle, may be even too gentle for me, but still good. Next time going there for lunch since I heard super nice comments about the salmon soup there, and definitely going to hunt for their carrot cake. + Wonderful coffee

Overpriced and boring. Got a takeaway with Passio and Tumma suklaa-kirsikka leivokset. Taken into account size per price ration, I was expecting some unique and mastered flavors. Let’s get one thing straight — the desserts looked absolutely outstanding and delicious. Hence, the expectations were set high. I preferred chocolate pastry to the Passion one, but none of those tasted delicious enough to make a comeback. Passio pastry: the acidity of passion fruit did not work well together with the rest of the mousse, and the pastry ended up tasting like spoiled cottage cheese. Tumma suklaa-kirsikka: everything is in place, but the flavors are just... mediocre? I wish there was more punch from the cherry. Maybe next time I should just grab the buns :)

A pistachio cheesecake that tastes like lemon. Must change the name to lemon cheeskake. So disappointing, and for that price one would expect raw pistachio...

Lovely almond croissants and pain au chocolat! Would've loved a more flakey croissant! It was a bit too moist from the almond filling I guess? On the other hand the pain au chocolat was too cooked so a bit dry. Maybe bad luck with the batch? I wad there around 13 o'clock so not at the end of the day to say it could be from the fact it was closing time ... The taste was good either way! Butterey like French pastry should be! Payed 6,6 euro for both ;)

Definitely the best almond croissant I ever had. It’s even better than many of those you can found in Paris. Maybe because the owner is French. I definitely will go there often just to buy weekly bread.

This was the last cafe we visited on our trip to Helsinki and it was, by far, one of the best. It's small and cozy and the food and coffee were worth the walk. We had cappuccinos and a buttery, lovely almond croissant. Looking forward to coming back on our next visit.

They do indeed have one of the best croissant. We ordered almond croissant, chocolate croissant, and cappuccinos. They were delicious! We ended up ordering 2 more almond croissants and their last baguette of the day (luckily) for taking away. Would definitely recommend visiting early on the weekends to get hold of their breads before it runs out.

Tasty lunch. There’s a lunch menu that changes daily, 10,4€. Todays lunch was a filled croissant that’s made to order so service can be a bit slow if many people show up at once. Lunch also included dessert (choice of pastry) and coffee/tea. Cappuccino was so-so, coffee machine maybe need a deep clean? Would recommend, would come again. Went around 11 and there was not bread loaves or baguette available anymore.

We had a little bit communication issues, my French is a bit rusty and their English/ Finnish was a bit limited. Cute atmosphere. Very friendly staff and good real French pastries and bread. We asked for lunch, we told it was around 12€, so we payed, soon we were served coffees, ham Pain français (patonki) and creme brulée. We were never asked if we wanted coffee or tea (we would have both prefered tea) and my friend is trying to be vegetarian so a bread full of meat was not her thing. She went back to tell about the meat issue and got it changed to some cheese instead. At this point we were a bit embarrassed so we decided not to complain about the coffees too and just left them without drinking. I am sure that if we went back we would have got tea instead but we didnt feel like bothering the nice people again! I loved the bread and the brulée, will come back to try some of those amazing almond croissants! I wanted to share my experience so that you people will learn from me and be more specific in ordering and knowing what you want/ what you will get! There is no lists to point out things and lunch is always something new every day, but make sure to know what you order and let them know, or you will be in this situation with things that you cant have! Lovely people and food, one table for outdoor seating was nice too. Very private in a small yard. ** We went there again, this time the lunch was a rootvegetable soup and dessert supposed to be almondcroisant, but we got creme brulees again, not complating, good brulee again, but if the list says croissant, I would have liked to try that.

Really good Kakkugalleria experience. The cafeteria is quite small, but still really atmospheric and nice. You can sit outside or under or beside the windows, as I said there isn't much room, but on a non-busy day there is enough room. We bought a carrot cake, chocolate cake and a blackberry macaron. I think that the price point in the cakes was quite good, but the macaron was a bit overpriced. Nevertheless, they were really good, and if you happen to live by, I would definitely recommend this for your morning cafe! Other kakkugallerias might be better for day coffee.

What a find! If you want to get away from the mayhem at EKBERG visit this tiny gem. Excellent coffee, cakes and pastries. Better prices, too. Picturesque interior and architecture. We loved it ❤️

Cozy coffee store with warm atmosphere, even the take away price is cheaper, I still recommend sitting nearby the window and grabbing a cup of coffee under the sunshine.

This chocolate dream cake made everyone happy. I haven't tried anything else in the shop but while taking a bite before purchasing a full cake, it was an easy yes! It felt light and for someone who prefers cheesecakes over chocolate cakes, trust me they did really great with this one. As for the space, its a nice place to relax but probaby not to hang out with a friend and chit chat. The place is tiny and you may feel like you are disturbing other customers even with the slightest noise. But since this is a cake shop, as long as the cakes are great, you get a 5 star from me!

Our waiter, older lady, was extremely rude and had an attitude like she was better than us customers. My boyfriend requested to have the steak without mushrooms and she told him it was of course possible. When we got our food she served him a plate with mushrooms and didn’t recall him requesting to remove the mushrooms. She explicitly accused him not letting her know in advance! Then the waitress proceeded to “make the dish again” - in reality she just scraped the mushrooms off the plate and served it as new in 2 minutes. He ate the steak but felt disgusted even thinking it had touched mushrooms. Rest assured, we will not be attending again.

We went to celebrate our first time in Helsinki and boy was it an amazing experience! I personally had a Negroni that was just like I love! Than I had the salmon with a poached egg and it was delicious! For the desert, I had a full coconut desert and it was fresh and delicious! This restaurant is a bit pricey but in my opinion it's worth it, the ingredients are such high quality! Plus the waitress was adorable!

Will not return. Found bone in the meatballs, sweaty pork flavor, and a major downgrade in quality. This used to be my go-to place for Swedish meatballs. They used to be rich, comforting, and made with beef. Now they’ve switched to 100 percent pork, and it shows. The flavor is sweaty and off. I bit into hard chunks of bone and cartilage. One bite nearly chipped my tooth. I’ve attached photos. Yup, that really came out of a meatball. The color was a pale grey beige. The dish came without lingonberries, which are a standard in any proper Swedish version. Used to always come with the dish. I asked, and was told you now have to request them separately. That makes no sense. It’s like eating fries without ketchup, you just don’t. This was clearly a cost-cutting move, and it’s lost them a loyal customer. My family and I won’t be back unless they bring back the original all-beef recipe. If you have come this far thanks you reading, go somewhere else if you’re looking for meatballs. Btw did not get a discount or apologies only ”I will inform the chef”. I gave the waiter my feedback already, this is not news for then. This is for you, the customer.

Beautiful sit-down, full service restaurant upstairs! I enjoyed the planned course menu with prawn starter and chateaubriand entree. The blueberry crumble was a miss--it did not taste right. One friend tried the truffle menu, and shared a taste of each course, which was delightful! I really enjoyed the beautiful decor of the restaurant and the views as the sun set. Would love to return on my next trip!

Great place for breakfast (and more) in Töölö area! Heard about this place from another local and can only reconfirm what he said, it's a bit of an institution at Töölö square since 1990s. Breakfast offering is great and menus are honest, you get easily full on a medium sized already. Bread was very fresh and warm when served, all other ingredients are good and taste fresh too. A big big plus is that when ordering menu it's served to the table. Overall friendly atmosphere and staff. Definitely worth to return to this place! I've given a 5 due to genuinity, but even considering interior is not tip top it's easily a 4.5 worth.

Excellent food and drinks. I loved the outside terrace, the spaces inside were great and customer service was on point. The only bad thing is that there are not many power outlets inside the cafe, so if you want to work with a laptop there is only a few tables you can do it.

Had a short stop here for some Easter pastries on my way to another coffee shop. The pastries here are better than their coffee for sure, I wouldn’t call it a specialty cafe. The easter pastry with lemon cream I had was quite tasty and if I had space in my stomach I would have ordered more breads or pastries. The lady in the cafe was wonderful and really nice!

It wasn’t very cozy — maybe because of the size of the space, the loud music, the lighting, or how the chairs were arranged. Either way, I didn’t feel completely comfortable sitting there. I’d say the prices are maybe a couple of euros higher than average, but I believe that’s due to the brand Andante is building. If you’re wondering where to go for your midday coffee or breakfast, this is definitely the place to visit. Here you’ll find a tasty and light breakfast, quality drinks, and mouthwatering desserts - and everything looks super Instagrammable, if you know what I mean!

Best coffee I have had in Helsinki (so far, though I doubt anything gets better)! The barista is very knowledgeable and is opening his own roaster soon. The coffee was more sour and fruity than I usually like but I much prefer darker, French roasts. A cozy café in the heart of Punavuori. The staff speaks English fluently and is very professional and knowledgeable. They are always helpful and nice too! The ambience at the café is relaxing, with soft music and mismatched chairs and tables. It feels like an antic store, but with coffee and really good cupcakes. There are vegan and gluten-free options for cupcakes and food, and lactose-free and vegan options for the drinks. Prices are pretty much the same as everywhere in the city, but bonus points for the atmosphere in my opinion.

Nice place, there is really a Brooklyn feel to it. Friendly staff. They have a lot of latte flavors compared to usual cafes in Finland. I tried the hazelnut latte and it was great, not to sweet, just nice. They have had well cupcakes and bagels, both with gluten free options.

I would recommend a visit turku cafe art, or other locations where historically valuable sites have been made into their best use. Cinnamon Bun and Salmon Soup are the must have in Helsinki and I’ve tick the boxes in My first meal in Helsinki ! The cafe is well maintain and clean, waitresses are nice, patient and friendly. The portion of cinnamon bun is big and really soft and nice ! They have other fresh daily pastry and I like their butter bun too! The salmon soup is very creamy and salmon taste fresh, a must have too ! We had the bake potatoes with Salmon as well and it’s great.

The cafe has a ton of seating that goes into the back and some outdoor tables and chairs as well.

It’s very near central Helsinki and the central train station and it’s the only specialty coffee you can get around the area (without walking too far). I went into Cáfetoria for “just one coffee” and left questioning every life decision I’ve made that involved drinking anything else. The baristas here don’t just make coffee, they conduct a full-blown performance....beans are treated with more respect than most corporate managers give their employees. The espresso hit me so hard I briefly considered starting a tech company, running a marathon, and calling my mom all at the same time. The pour-over? Smooth enough to convince me Helsinki winter is actually tolerable. Atmosphere: cozy but not sleepy. Service: so friendly that I almost tipped in advance, just out of anticipation. Coffee: dangerously good. If you’re in Helsinki and skip this place, I’m not saying you’ve failed in life… but you’ve definitely made a questionable strategic decision. Would 100% come back, even if it means re-mortgaging my apartment for another flat white.

Their home made ice cream was yummy, only available in several flavors, recommend the banana bread ice cream.

Well I wanted to make sure that I had several visits in and had tried the products before leaving a review. Let's just say that I know coffee and have experienced some of the best from my home in Canada. I now live here and I really wanted to find a quality light roasted bean. Cafetoria's Gran Palomar light is perfection. Then, there's the baristas, the owner, the atmosphere and none of it disappoints. Töölö is my favourite location. It's a cozy place to sit on a rainy day, enjoy a latte and watch the world go by. I know that there are so many cool cafes in Helsinki, but this is a must for a special cafe experience.

We had a Rwandan hand poured and the dark roast oat milk flat white. Both were excellent, very clear in the flavours and well rounded in their body. The counselling at the counter which bean to choose was helpful. The atmosphere is light. All in all highly recommend.

I can’t find the right words, when it comes to describing this place. Cafe Carusel isn’t just a coffee spot or a restaurant. It actually feels like home. The staff is so friendly and warm, unlike most of other restaurants we have visited in Helsinki. It is the only place that has the best espresso, pizza and cocktails. To not talk about the view, you could catch some of the best sunsets here and enjoy also the sea view.

Paid 13,50€ for a day soup, here what I got, carrot soup (very simple and with no taste) + a salad which is not fresh and no other than the greens in the picture + a small piece of bread.

Nice place to have a gathering or go out for dinner. Tried the salmon soup as it was a recommendation from the staff. Honestly it wasn’t nothing sort of extraordinary but it was different. My friends ordered the paninis and they looked good. I like the outdoor DJ and the sunset time was perfect. Nice place to go for a nice ocasión

Very nice and cozy place, full of locals too, it's a bit outside the touristic path. Food was great, had fish and chips and a salmon pie, both delicious and well made. Great selection of drinks also, desserts, smoothies, sandwiches and other quick bites. The staff is super nice and helpful, they were patient to explain how everything is organized. There is no table service here, but that's perfectly fine, albeit a bit confusing in the beginning. They have daily lunch menu with soup and main course also, so great if you're living or working nearby.

We stopped for the locally made ice-cream and discovered a vast array of pizza, salads, cakes, pastries etc on offer. We arrived about 12noon & the place was busy. It's a great destination to aim for when walking around this part of Helsinki.

Nice location, but the burger was super expensive. It came a bit cold and too moist. Basically no service at all. You pay €30.90 for a burger, fries, and soda, and they don’t even bring you a napkin. You can’t leave your food outside because seagulls and other birds will take it. They put only three ice cubes in the warm soda. Big failure.

Lovely seaside restaurant to dine at. Plenty of seating outside, and they provide throw blankets if you want to be more cozy. Food was 10/10 and the portion size was filling. If you’re not too hungry even 1 order would be enough to share. The DJ was also really good. A definite must visit on a sunny day.

Amazing, popular cafe right by the sea. Open sea views. Good quality coffee, tea, drinks, pastries etc. Speciality being smoking oven, delivering tasty hamburgers. Can be a bit crowded when warm weather is present.

Excellent location, nice lounging chairs. QR table orders didn’t work, ordering drinks was a mess, draught long drink is an abomination of long drinks vs. The Original. Also a small fly or similar was spotted in a drink and it was just fished out by the staff (before handing it over).

My favorite place in Helsinki to have breakfast, coffee with pastries or burgers. The menu is delicious and the attention is excellent. The views are fabulous.

Veeti is a gem. He mixes amazing drinks with the utmost of professionalism. The lovely roof top bar on top of our hotel, Torni, couldn’t get much better. A full 360 degree view of Helsinki is @ your fingertips!

A bar with a view. It's situated on the 11th floor of a hotel and elevators are tiny (2 elevators in different locations). As expected, cocktails are pricey. We liked how they tasted, but wish the portions could be bigger for the price. This place is super busy and gets crowded in the afternoon so come early or on a weekday. The panoramic view of the city is the biggest highlight especially before sunset. Unfortunately, we didn't get to visit the famous toilet since people didn't want to come out.

Beautiful sunset and water views, 360 degree view. Comfortable seats inside and out. The Gin and Tonic was excellent, but pricey. We did not have food.

The view at the top is amazing! The bar is difficult and small to move through since it’s so busy. They have another larger bar area, but they don’t have it open. My Hugo Spritz was good!

Pretty bad selection of beers so I decided to go with a cocktail. Espresso Martini was great but a bit pricy. But I guess you choose this place because of the scenery and that was 5/5. It took 5-10 minutes to get an elevator to the top so prepare to take the stairs if you're in hurry.

The drinks are overpriced, the service was rude, and you have to queue between tables just to order. I politely asked if she could fill the glass a bit more and she said, “It’s filled.” (look at the picture also how she put the coffee beans lol + table was dirty). The view is definitely worth seeing, but I’d skip the drinks

Worst espresso martini I've ever had. I dont think there was any alcohol in it, just tasted like black coffee, and only half filled the glass. For the cost I'd expect the best espresso martini ever! Views are nice.

It is one of the beautiful place to stay in the city center of Helsinki. Rooms are smells good and very neat and tidy! My favorite part is the Spa which you can get the good sauna and pools, they also had the cold pool seperately. The ambiance is so magical.

5 Star Stay! Stayed at Hotel St. George and loved it! Boutique feel, ultra‑central location right by Old Church Park and just minutes from shops, cafés, and other attractions. The tech‑savvy hotel and rooms were sleek and comfortable with all of the right amenities, and the art‑gallery vibe throughout the hotel gives it real character. Highly recommend for a stylish city stay in Helsinki!

Excellent location. Class architecture with modern and fashion interior style. Rooms were cozy. But some didn’t have nice view even with balcony with facing to roof/nearby buildings. Front desk staff were so friendly, helpful and cheerful. They were always so polite and welcoming to assist the guests. Price was reasonable with all its details and service.

I visited from Japan for honeymoon and I spent great time here :)The hotel interior is modern and stylish. I really liked the design of hotel room. In addition, This hotel has good access to station and I was able to go to supermarket and cafe within 10 minutes. Hotel staff are very kind and full of hospitality. When I visit Helsinki again, I definitely choose here:)

We stayed here for almost a week and impressed by what they offer. Everything is the right on and staff are all helpful and friendly. Wellness center, bakery, winter garden and the Thai restaurant are all worth trying. Rooms’ sound proof isn’t great if the room next door happens to be busy. Location is great. Overall I highly recommended this hotel.

Check in: I arrived around 11 am. I was informed my room had been upgraded (I’m only platinum so this was great news) but that my room wasn’t ready yet. They had chairs to sit down in while checking in. Such a simple detail is so much more welcoming. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. I returned at 1300 and she immediately checked to see if it was ready without even asking my name. She then escorted us to the elevator. I’ve never experienced such seamless customer service The room: there are so many small touches to remind you to relax. The room is very luxurious in its simplicity, finishing, and a big bathroom. I had a lovely view over the park Location is very central and a 20 euro taxi ride from the ferry Breakfast is 50 percent off for Marriott elite. They also include water and chocolate. Read more on the photo of the welcome letter. I’m only surprised they didn’t have a handwritten note from the manager given all the other special details (update: they do leave a note—I didn’t see it at 1st because it is on the back of a pretty postcard 🙂)

This small and cozy space offers delicious coffee. I recommend this place to have a moment of concentration to work. By the way, their playlist is nice with classic rock vibes.

Went for a quick breakfast stop, pastry was good, atmosphere and service were inviting. Been here few times before, finally write a review to support. Some construction going on around the hood at the moment so not the most pleasant view now, but it’s just a phase.

Unfortunately the cafe had run out of sandwich options by 13:30 on a Saturday, which was about disappointing, and only had a few breakfast items remaining. There was also limited seating with an odd arrangement of tables. Nice to see the cafe is dog friendly though. The flat white was very good as was the chocolate banana bread. Also highly recommend the yoghurt and granola bowl.

A cozy spot in the neighborhood. I tried their weekend special banana bread, croissant, and flat white. I can say that the food was average. Enjoyable, but not somethind I'd go out of my way to have again. The coffee, on the other hand, was quite decent and pleasant.

I stopped by for breakfast and it was a pleasant surprise! The prices are in line with the average in Helsinki, but the quality of the pastry I had and the cappuccino surprised me positively. The barista was super friendly, the atmosphere very relaxed and casual. Perhaps the atmosphere was too quiet for my taste, but still: highly recommended!

One of the best specialty coffee spots I found in Helsinki. Great, light roast coffees with pleasant fruity notes and little bitterness. The barista works at the roastery so she knows the coffee details intimately and shared great descriptions and recommendations. She pulled perfect, flavor-balanced shots that shone through in plain espresso as well as in a cappuccino. They also offer a nice selection of vegan-friendly pastries and sandwiches. I really enjoyed their cinnamon bun—it was flavorful and not too sweet (I only wish they could warm it up before serving). Overall, lovely spot. It’s a bit out of the way as a tourist, but I’d still recommend stopping by if you can spare the time.

Great Café! Lots of drink options, including non-coffee ones. Free washroom for customers, very clean. Seating available inside and outside, and lots of baking and food available. Service very friendly, we sat outside and had a perfect afternoon.

We came from Greece, and during our visit to Porvoo, we found this little café. It had a very nice atmosphere, and both the indoor and outdoor areas of the place were equally comfortable

We had a perfectly sunny day for our trip to Suomenlinna and having walked to King's Gate and back, Silo Cafe provided just the light lunch we were looking for. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed a salmon salad, toasted sandwich and one of the best pulli we have eaten in Finland. Everything was fresh and tasty. The touch of pickled onion in both the salad and the sandwich was just right. Great coffee and a beer. Just lovely.

Oh my word the raspberry dessert was ridiculously delicious! Best thing I tasted here in Finland and we tried a lot of yummy things. Beautiful place to sit and have a snack and watch the water. Highly recommend the desserts! It was even gluten free! Carrot cake was good too.

What a disappointment! Breakfast eggs Benedict is one small bread with two eggs and two slices of bacon with dressing. This delicacy is 14 EUR! This doesn't include juice, coffee or anything else. Total robbery!

The place is located inside the market, which made it quite warm with limited airflow — not the most comfortable setting during summer. However, the tables were clean, and the service was friendly and efficient.

We went for lunch as a recommendation from our guide, we took the salamon soup and the grilled reindeer. First of all the portion size was big. The salamon soup was very delicious as well as the grilled reindeer will definitely go back again

Excellent customer service, super tasty salmon soup. I warmly recommend this place. Especially because nobody came to complain when I sat down with all our shopping bags while my husband dealt with the order. The dill oil is a nice addition to the salmon soup! Very democratic prices also.

Fish soup is quite watery, tables needs cleaning more often, coffee is quite bad (sweet even without sugar). Not sure it's good value for money compared to, say, Restaurant Fisken på Disken in Kamppi. The place is a bit over-hyped.

Moomin! What's not to love about this place? They do really great coffee and the cake selection is good. It is a little expensive than your typical café in Helsinki, but all the small added extras make it worth it. I ordered a cappuccino and blueberry cake that was nice. Cake was light and fluffy and was not too sweet. This is a family friendly place. You can also purchase all kinds of Moomin merchandise such as kitchen crockery, cuddly toys and ground coffee. If you love Moomin then this is a place to visit and have a quick pit stop during your travels around Helsinki.

I fell in love with a place! It is decorated in Moomin style starting from a big toy Moomin near the entrance down to assortment of Moomin books in different languages. Personnel is friendly and polite. My friend and I ordered cake, doughnut, capuccino and coke and it all came in Moomin-styled plates and cups. Even on the capuccino foam was a Moomin character. Besides food, there is a lot of merchandise with Moomin and some teas and cookies too. Definitely recommended for a visit!

The moment I entered the cafe, I was amazed by the decoration! The atmosphere was lively and there are many children and tourists visiting this place. The staff was very friendly and the blueberry pie was delicious!! Would visit again and don’t forget to take a look at their shop!!

Cute place with reasonable prices. Staff was really kind and helpful. The best thing was free coffee refills, shop with moomin things inside, amazing mugs and plates and all arangement was super sweet and well-designed. The credit card reader was broken and it was only one disadvantage.
