Uppercrust is an intimate bakery in Gainesville, Florida that offers a wide variety of artisan bread and pastries. The bakery also features a gourmet market, a cafe with outdoor seating, and hosts weekly wine tastings. The warm and rustic interior provides a cozy atmosphere for enjoying their decadent French-inspired baked goods. Marcus, inspired by desserts from a Michelin-star restaurant, spends his time perfecting the chocolate cake and donut at Uppercrust.
We have lived near the Gainesville area for a long time and for whatever reason we never tried this place for breakfast. Only their cookies. The pastries are amazing, some of the best in the area. The guava one is awesome. They were very busy on a Saturday morning. The coffee was the only letdown. The consistency and boldness was good but it had almost no flavor despite getting vanilla. I’d like to come track and try more coffee and pastries in the future.

Uppercrust is a high quality Bakery with a Large variety of baked goods! Breads and other locally made items :) they also use a composting system for food scraps.
Dylan D — Google review
Small bakery with a great selection of pastries and good customer service. Lots of fruit flavored pastries as well as dessert styles. The pistachio fleurs and the flourless double chunk chocolate cookies are some of my favorites. Their online ordering system makes it easy to pay in advance and just stop by to pick your order up.
Eric J — Google review
We got custom sugar cookies made for our wedding from Uppercrust and they were a HUGE hit!! Every single one of our guests loved them and even said they wished they had more lol. Natalie in the bakery was soooo easy to work with and so accommodating. We requested seashell and starfish shaped cookies with blue marble frosting and a gold dusting on top. They even individually wrapped each cookie so it was easier for the guests to take home. If you’re looking for a fun custom treat for your event I highly recommend Uppercrust!!
Jemma R — Google review
They offer a variety of breads including baguettes (Classic French, Rosemary) and other loaves (Rosemary Batard, Pain Aux Cereales Batard). A signature item, their croissants come in various flavors, including butter, chocolate, almond, raspberry, and Nutella. High quality service with high quality Bakery products
Ovidio J — Google review
Very disappointed. The eclairs were filled with a cheap tasting too sweet custard, the chocolate tart tasted like bland frosting. If that wax supposed to be chocolate ganache, it was a sad comparison. The croissants had a strange aftertaste, that was sweet and oily, not like a butter croissant should be. I’ve enjoyed some amazing French bakeries across the country with French bakers very proud of their food. This was extremely disappointing and ridiculously expensive for what it was. The eclair was $7 and tasted like a small long john donut at best. This place, to me, is not a true French bakery. I will be looking elsewhere. Edit: I wanted to add that I usually ONLY give positive reviews for businesses, and just never return to the ones that did not meet my standards. In addition to the above, after eating the food here, I developed one of the worst cases of heartburn I have ever experienced. I do hope you look at your ingredients and not skimp on quality for future patrons. No reason should anyone suffer over a treat they are hoping to enjoy.
Tonya T — Google review
Top-notch quality with prices to match. Don't get me wrong...the few times that I've visited Upper Crust have resulted in outstanding purchases. But unless YOU'RE upper-crust, you likely won't be able to make a habit of it. Their apricot croissants are simply amazing. But at five bucks a pop, they'd better be a religious experience. I've bought their eclairs, also very good. But they're the size of ladyfingers and they're also five bucks apiece. I get it...it's 2025. We survived 1/21-1/25, but just barely. Our country is intact, thankfully. But our wallets? Not so much. Go here for a special treat. But bring your money gun. And ammo for it.
James S — Google review
This is always a stop for us before going to the Fresh Market next door. The coffee and croissants are divine and they always feature different the things to try and suggest wine pairings.

Karma Cream is a popular counter-serve operation located on University, offering a variety of organic coffee, vegan sandwiches, and delectable ice cream. The café boasts an array of dairy-free and vegan options that are so delicious they're hard to distinguish from their dairy counterparts. In addition to their wide selection of coffee choices, Karma Cream also serves up an assortment of pastries and ice creams daily.
Karma Cream is a fantastic place for coffee lovers! I was here with my husband and we loved their coffee. Their bakery selection is just good, with delicious pastries, including vegan options. It's also a perfect spot to sit and work while enjoying a nice cup of coffee. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for great coffee!
Greeshma J — Google review
I would like to share some feedback regarding the service. The cashier with curly hair and a septum ring did not greet me and seemed somewhat disengaged, which made the interaction feel a bit unwelcoming. I believe that a warm greeting and a more friendly approach when assisting guests would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.
Karla — Google review
Came in on Friday 12th for an iced coffee and a naughty treat. The iced lattes came in a glass which was really nice! Love that you have lots of vegan options 💚 which made it a great experience for us! The woman working making drinks was miserable, she didn’t acknowledge us even when we said thank you. The guy working was nice and friendly.
Aimz — Google review
Decent spot with room for improvement. Karma Cream is an okay place overall, and I can see why people like it. The location is great -- easy to get to, walkable, and the inside is a pleasant spot to sit, get some work done, or meet up with friends. The vibe is a strong point. The food and ice cream are fine, though I personally find them a bit too sweet. Nothing bad, just not very balanced in flavor. As a tea drinker, the drinks are where I feel most underwhelmed. The tea tends to be over-steeped, and the chai in particular is extremely over-spiced. I could practically feel the cinnamon permeate my soul -- it’s intense but still just drinkable. It’s not a bad place, and I wouldn’t mind coming back for the atmosphere. With a few tweaks to sweetness and tea preparation, it could easily move up in rating.
Myles T — Google review
It's fine. Tried on a friend's suggestion but kinda disappointing. They were closing early at 2p bc students aren't in town and they didn't have any baked goods so menu was super limited. The strawberry matcha however was phenomenal and most places really disappoint on these so thank you. Tasty but overpriced and all of it is vegan, so make sure that's what you want!
Renee R — Google review
I come here pretty often but I just had the most amazing breakfast today and I needed to leave a review, whatever they got going on with their special menu right now is so good we got coffees and the breakfast sandwich. highly recommend. service was good today some days it can be a little lacking tho. food seems to all be made to order so sometimes takes a little longer for the sandwiches but it's worth it. great food and coffee today
Cyleste R — Google review
I got a cookies and cream scoop and strawberry scoop! The cookies and cream was perfect the Oreos in it wasn’t super crunchy it blended well with the icecream it was good! Now the strawberry I didn’t like. It kind of tasted like strawberry cheesecake icecream. I wasn’t a fan personally. The waffle cone was very good and fresh! Cost wise I got one scoop for my daughter in a bowl and I got 2 scoops in a waffle cone for me. It was $10 so definitely very affordable. Last the one thing I love most is everything in there is vegan!! It’s hard to find fully vegan places so finding this was amazing they have so many different flavors. Definitely will come visit again and try all the flavors !
Star M — Google review
I used to visit this place all the time primarily to study, but I don't go as much anymore because unless I go at 8 AM, all of the seats are taken 😭. Glad to see business booming though! Karma Cream is in a super convenient location and has an incredible atmosphere. All of the staff are super cool and easy to chat with, but shoutout to Joe, Autumn, Gabby, Angie, & Jaylen. They're all so awesome. The owner, Kyle, is also a pretty cool guy. The drinks here are always pretty on-point & consistent in quality across the board, & I really appreciate that they don't upcharge for alternative milk. Also as a non-vegetarian, I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the food here. Definitely pay this place a visit & you might just want to come back.

Step into the enchanting world of Dolce Vita Bakery Cafe, a delightful gem tucked away in Gainesville, Florida. This charming bakery invites you to escape the mundane chain cafes and immerse yourself in an atmosphere rich with European flair. As you enter, you're welcomed by the inviting warmth of exposed brick walls adorned with local art and the lively buzz of fellow patrons enjoying their treats. Though it may be small with limited seating, its quirky decor adds to its charm.
The bakery is phenomenal. For some items you need to get there early. It's just a small place, not cheap but quality. Homemade. Not sure about sandwiches but we had a rose roll which they heated for us and was delicious. Quite sure this is a locals favorite. We will go back when in the area.

So I actually drove over there because I saw a post with this London broil sandwich, and I heard about their cannolis! I freaking love cannolis! The sandwich was delicious and loved that horseradish sauce! But it’s getting the five stars because them cannolis were effing delicious😵‍💫 the shell was delicious. The filling was delicious and you definitely have to go try their food and bakery! They use boars head meats and that’s a bonus in itself! I took some pictures. They got a nice selection! I’ll definitely be back!

The guava and cream cheese pastry and the key lime coconut pastry are incredible! My husband got the Italian sandwich and said it was the best one he ever had. I had the vegetarian pesto mozzarella and tomato panini and it was delicious as well. This place has so many delicious desserts, lots of food options, and take away meals for you to warm up at home. We loved it!

Return Visit, 6/27/25 Awsome pastries, guava, Blue Berry Lemon, chocolate, Raspberry, Keylime. Almost hate to review this place, We want to keep it to our self's. Breakfast and lunch only, and they do sell out fast.

Went for the first time today. We had lunch and ordered some desserts as well!! It was so amazing! Everything was so good! We will definitely be going back! Everyone was really nice.

Definitely a hidden gem! This plaza doesn’t have much visibility from 34th but you should check this deli/bakery out! I had the London Broil on Italian, the Boars Head roast beef was medium rare, tender and tasty, the horseradish absolutely makes this sub spectacular! I didn’t try them but next time I will definitely leave with a homemade cannoli or five! 😊 They looked spectacular!
Beth B — Google review
Imagine seeing this review lol. Suddenly you make it your new next obsessive place to have to visit. 🤡 oh but if you know you know. Came here with a friend. Hmm, for lunch actually. It’s like the food is so good that the non personable service can kind of just be dismissed. 🤷🏽‍♀️ It gives “thank you next” energy.. like a Dunkin’ Donuts … lol but the food is worth it 🤷🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️

If you're looking for a delightful spot to unwind and enjoy some delicious treats, look no further than Patticakes in the Village. Nestled in the charming Haile Village Center, this cafe is a beloved local gem where friendly staff greet you by name—and even remember your furry friends! With its bright and airy atmosphere, it's an ideal place to relax or get some work done. Whether you’re craving house-blend drip coffee or one of their renowned cupcakes, Patticakes has something for everyone.
Great coffee and food options - I love their quiche! Their espresso drinks are good too and they have some fun seasonal flavors. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Parking and seating are more limited than their Tioga location, but even during busy times they usually still have a couple tables and seats available. They also have an online pickup option.
Josh M — Google review
Super cute little shop - employees were lovely. However the turkey panini is truly a light bite - only 2-4 slices of turkey for the whole sandwich. If they would have doubled or tripled their ingredients in the sandwich it would have been great. Coffee cake was generic.
Sarah J — Google review
This place is really great! The coffee is good and the cupcakes are wonderful! I got the Night Game beverage and my fiancé got the spiced chai. The strawberry cheesecake cupcake was glorious! I definitely recommend this place.
Jennifer K — Google review
the actual coffee and treats served at this place are not worth the price in any capacity. the latte was watered down and the red velvet cupcake genuinely tasted like nothing. additionally, the fact that the latte and café con leche are separate menu items show that this place is a money grab. the only difference between the two is the fact that the cafe con leche already has sugar added and that they charge you 70 cents more for the same drink. the workers are extremely kind and the ambiance is wonderful, but the food itself if not up to par. my response to the owner: your employees did in fact explain that the cafe con leche has caramelized sugar rather than plain sugar; that doesn't take away from the fact that the difference in price is pretty ridiculous. In many bakeries across Miami cafe con leches are typically around 2-3 dollars for a medium, and though i understand an increase in price due to this being a small business, $5.40 without tax is insanity. also, I am a frequent patron at multiple small business and am okay with paying higher prices for the sake of supporting local places. however, your food is simply not good and definitely not worth the price. the coffee at your establishment tastes watered down and old (even though I saw the employees pull a fresh shot) and your baked goods taste like absolutely nothing. its interesting how you decided to harp on the cafe con leche instead of actually respond to my complaint of how the food was simply bad. the cupcake didn't even taste sweet, it simply tasted like bread. I hope you spend your time improving the quality of your product rather than insulting an honest internet review.

I was looking for a new place to study and I am glad I found this place it is so cute! They have a decent amount of seating indoors but sometimes it can be a little crowded. They also have indoor seating. They have lots of coffee flavors and they are inexpensive as well! I tried the breakfast sandwich and the coffee cake both of which were very amazing. It can be a little bit loud in there sometimes depending who’s there but I used my headphones. The workers there were also super nice. Overall this is a super cute chill spot and I would definitely recommend it for coffee and/ or studying
Britney M — Google review
This is the place to go for amazing cupcakes! The cakes are moist and the frosting is dense and smooth. I love their red velvet flavor the most because the cream cheese frosting is perfect. They also have breakfast items, paninis, and coffee, but those weren't stand out. I would come back again just for the cupcakes. Staff were extremely friendly too!
Nancy — Google review
Always a great experience here. I moved a few months ago and I miss this place! The customer service is amazing. Genuine friendliness. Most employees learned my name and even my dogs name. They even started carrying vegan ice cream just before I left!! Can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back on my next visit to Haile.
Tori E — Google review
This is a unique little find in a really cute town center. They have good hot chocolate and I wish there was one closer to the university campus. My only complaint is that I keep getting emails and text messages since going and signing up for rewards. One of the messages even spoofed my area code (which is not a Gainesville area code). Regardless, I’ll definitely come back again when I get the chance or am in the area.

Little cupcake shop in Gainesville. Clean store , convenient area, and friendly place. I ordered a 4 pack and received 1 free. They were delicious. The wedding cake was a favorite, just vanilla. Theres just something about a cupcake thats magical! There was a big variety as well, something for Every one.

Due to dietary restrictions I was looking for a bakery that could do a gluten free wedding cake. I had tried their gluten free cupcakes and thought they were great. The day of my wedding the cake and cupcakes were not ready on time. The grooms men and officiant were out of the store waiting for this cake. I was sooooo disappointed. It was suppose to be a special day for me and my wedding cake and cupcakes were dry, awful and not worth the 500 plus dollars I paid for it. The owner did call me and returned a part of the cost. I had to share this so I can help others make an informed decision before they find themselves with something that will appear in all their pictures.

LOVE THE SERVICE. I had my baby shower and Gigis made my cake for that day, WAS EVERYTHING THAT I WANTED. Highly recommended❤️❤️❤️
Kamila E — Google review
I stopped by this cupcake shop and tried the lemon blueberry cupcake — absolutely delicious! The cake was incredibly moist with a smooth texture, and the flavor balance between the tangy lemon and sweet blueberry was perfect. The store itself is super cute and inviting, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more flavors!
Paola T — Google review
Shitty Cake service, I would give 0 stars if I could. My mom tried to get me a birthday cake for my 21st birthday. The staff members kept messing around and saying they don’t have the right ingredients available, no one available to work on my cake, the flavor I wanted wasn’t in stock, etc. Don’t know why you choose to have this business if you refuse to take customers requests and aren’t prepared for your job 😂🤦‍♀️. Never coming here again.

Sweet Buns takes pride in crafting their treats daily using only premium ingredients, ensuring each bite is filled with passion and care.
I literally love sweet buns I have tried so many things there and not a single thing has been bad. among my favorites are the taro bun and the golden onion roll. of course anything with pork floss is amazing. they have so many options i can't even begin to say everything there that is good. the best part is they are sooo cheap. it's literally like $2-$3 for each thing so you can try so many new things. my friend and i usually get one sweet thing, one savory thing, and then share. this is usually somewhat filling. i love this place so much and can't wait to keep trying new things there.
Britney M — Google review
Such a super fun experience! Cute Asian bakery with a variety of sweet and savory goodies. Everything looks so good that it's hard to choose. The prices are amazing so you don't really have to- get it all! We tried several things including the pineapple pastry, lemon roll, ham & cheese, strawberry cake, and mango mousse desserts. They were all pretty tasty. Nothing there felt overly decadent, and the flavors were subtle and (to me) not too overly sweet. I gave the extra star for the variety and the prices. They nearly lost a star because the checkout time was soooooo long (I think there was someone in training, though). Overall, fun olace and fun experience. Would go back.
Kamia M — Google review
What an amazing bakery. I've never been into one with so many artistic choices. Talk about yummy is an understatement. I've tasted their buttery bread many times. Put on some pounds doing it too. But it's the sheer beauty of these delicacies that impress me. Prices are low. Investment worth it. Go. Buy. Eat. Go back again and again!!!

We only got 4 items bc we are always disappointed when we go to bakeries and ended up wasting money. Well we regret it, bc these baked items are amazing. They were all fresh and probably the best Chinese baked goods we’ve had in Florida. We will definitely make an effort to stop here next time we drive by Gainesville. Delicious!
Kristina Y — Google review
Awesome bakery! Really affordable. So many cool buns to try, ranging from savory to sweet. Lots of cool drinks as well, but the real show stopper is the flavored moose which are fantastic looking. They also tast pretty good too! Great service as well.

Tucked away in the corner of a busy shopping plaza some of the sweetest, eclectic treats you will find known to mankind. Maybe a good treat at the end of the day or a purchase to brighten the day of another. They have food menu items also I have not yet indulged but will be back to VERY soon to fill my pudge.

Wonderful bakery with an amazing assortment of sweet and savory Asian pastries. We were on the hunt for sweet things so we nabbed a Japanese cheesecake, a pineapple bun, and a puff doughnut. Everything was delicious and the only mild annoyance was discovering the container for the cheesecake was stapled shut. A bit difficult to deal with when you're in an on the go situation; perhaps tape or a sticker would be as effective.

Each for just $3! You can enjoy even more delicious bread here at a better price than anywhere else. But hurry—they sell out quickly! My top pick is the morning bun!

We got to Baker Baker around 8:10am on A Saturday and they were already sold out of most things, which honestly just shows how loved they are. The lady at the front was so kind and welcoming, even though it was clear they'd had a rush (it was Easter weekend, so totally understandable that people came early and stocked up!). Everything is super reasonably priced, all items are $3, and you can get a half dozen for just $12. That's wild for the quality you're getting! They have an amazing variety: danishes, cookies, pound cakes, and more. We ended up with a vanilla glazed cinnamon bun, lemon pound cake, cinnamon danish crunch, almond cloud cookie, karma cookie, and a pecan pie bar to split with one of my close friends, and every single bite was absolutely delicious. I wish I had known there was a line forming right at 7am. I would've rolled out of bed sooner. Thankfully, they told us you can call ahead and reserve, which we might just do next time because I'm already thinking about going back. I highly recommend the danishes & vanilla cinnamon glaze glazed bun and the pecan pie bar! This place is one of those spots you'll want to visit again and again, just get there early or call ahead to snag the goods!

Amazing selection of pastries & baked goods. The staff was super friendly & willing to answer all of our questions about how things are made and what they recommend etc. You can also tell that they make an effort to build real relationships with their customers as they knew everyone by name who walked in and really makes you miss that type of mom & pop shop. Being here just brought joy to my day ☀️

I have come here on multiple occasions and they are very small consistent bakery. Guava and cheese pastry is my favorite & literally to die for. They sell out way before 7:35 so get there soon as they open.

There are two bakery places in Gainesville that are just super amazing. One is Uppercrust, and the other one is here, BakerBaker. I've been here a couple of times before, but either the shop was closed (because all items were sold out) or only a few were left that I didn't want. Finally, today, during Summer semester (with less college students) on a weekday-Thursday at 7 am, we were able to purchase some items we want. We had about 4 teams ahead when we arrived. All items were 3 dollars each. They all looked great. You can get some items warm, as they are displayed in a separate warming machine. We bought pretzels (salted, cheese), and croissants (butter, chocolate, pecan). They all tasted soooooo good. Very soft and melting. Plus, all staffs are super friendly and they seemed so happy. Such vibe also makes our morning with positive and happy mind, and enhances the tastes of the breads. From now on, I am going to be a big big supporter and spread out the words. This place is just amazing. I left many many Google reviews, but this one is one of my highlights. Please, if you live in Gainesville but haven't tried it here yet, or if you are visiting this area, stop by and try it here. You will never regret. I highly strongly recommend this place. Come early in the morning, if not, they are probably all gone.

Love these delicious pastries and their cost ($3/pastry!). Four stars due to new owners (since summer 2025) are not friendly at all! Miss the old team.
Emilia Q — Google review
How disappointing the new owners suck. I appreciated this spot while it was being run by the old family, they seemed like they really cared about it and it showed in the quality and taste, but that has since completely gone away. Also the lady at the front was rude and rolled her eyes when I walked in, like I can literally see you ???
S — Google review
Soooo good! The staff was very friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. One caution - don't wait too late in the morning to go. They are apparently very popular and will close early once they sell out. We got there close to closing and thankfully still had some good options.

Maude's Cafe is a long-standing coffeehouse with a laid-back, artistic atmosphere. It offers a spacious patio and light bites, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy quality coffee. The cafe prides itself on serving top-notch coffee brewed to perfection. In addition to beverages, Maude's also provides delicious meals and snacks for visitors to savor.
I drove 45 minutes from Ocala and was not disappointed. This place was recommended to me by a coworker. I loved the atmosphere! I came alone to do some work but would love to have been with friends and played a board game! I ordered the Maude's iced coffee and I went into the backroom, which was a bit quieter. They have free wifi and every table has an outlet! I was super productive, and I credit that to this cafe. For lunch, i ordered the "fancy quesadilla" and a red velevet cupcake and stepped outside to enjoy the nice seating area. Yummy. If I find myself in Gainsville again, I will stop back by.

Great drinks, and came out fast! We ordered sandwiches that were each pretty expensive, waited around 30 minutes for them—but when we received them, we noticed that each of them were pretty flat and didn’t have much food in them at all. I ordered a BLT with a very flat single tomato, and about 2 pieces of bacon for about $12. Just wish they added some more actual food in the food we ordered. Good place otherwise, but please consider making the sandwiches more worth the money. Thanks!

Not for coffee lovers!! Really cute place with plenty of indoor seating and outdoor patio seatings available. Plus with plenty charging spots for indoor seating!! The coffee I got was…sugar syrup…we ordered two vanilla lattes and one had twice as much sugar as other…clearly lack of consistency on part of the Baristas. I think—if you are lookikg for a place specific for coffee like we were (there are better options within Gainesville such as Pascal’s or Cympplify)—but as a package if you are also looking for food options, this has a great selection. Overall, good vibes and atmosphere, not so good coffee. Will come again to try their breakfast menu when Im hungry!!

Maude's is my wife's favorite sit-down place for coffee. She loves the European vibe and the fact that they serve a dark roast espresso. The service here has improved over the years. Right next to the Hippodrome. Atmospheric outdoor seating.
Steven R — Google review
My favorite cafe in Gainesville during the winter months. Unfortunately, at all other times of the year the owner's decision to minimize A/C costs at the expense of customer comfort immediately disqualifies Maude's from eligibility as a place I would in any way want to patronize or sit at for any longer than 5 minutes. Please...I beg....just turn the thermometer down a hair...sacrifice an extra 20 dollars to the monthly electricity bill...please...I'm begging...so I can sit and read and sip my coffee in comfort...please.
Colin — Google review
There is no way not to absolutely adore this quaint coffee shop. It's located in the Sun Center Easr adjacent to Gainesville's historic Hypodrome Theatre. It's across the street from Starbucks which is nationally known. But keep strolling past that famous place if you want better food, coffee and ambiance. Even the prices are better. I purchased coffee and multiple pastries last night so when I wake up early the next morning I'll be able to sit on my terrace overlooking Maude's and relax knowing I'm lucky to have shopped there. Great food, delightful wait staff and a cozy interior that will make you want to sit and relax.

Brother Cookie is a bakery that makes some of the best chocolate chip cookies in Gainesville. The cookies are so good, you'll be tempted to order them even if you're not hungry. The variety of flavors available is also great, and you won't be disappointed by any of them.
Amazing!!! Tried 3 different flavors the first visit, came back two hours later for more. I’ve become more of a cookie person recently and I would definitely recommend this place! The cookies are very buttery, gooey, and perfectly sweet. Double chocolate is my favorite flavor for any baked good and these cookies were 10/10 🔥
Chad J — Google review
Excellent cookies here! Soft, thick, and flavorful. My favorite is either browned butter or rosemary fig. Very unique offerings and classics like chocolate chip.
Neil G — Google review
I was really excited to try this place, and I'm really happy I did. The prices are very affordable compared to their competitors, and they even have a day-old cookie special if you don't mind a little less freshness, which I think is really cool and honest. I got the Cookies and Cream giant cookie and a mini chocolate walnut cookie. They were both great! The cookies had a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness, with a crispy crust on the outside while maintaining a gooey interior. I will say, for my preference, they were a bit undercooked, but not too much, and I really love that you can ask them to warm it up beforehand. The guy working there wasn't very vocal or cheerful, but other than that, the service was great. Definitely recommend!
Shicken V — Google review
AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!! I took one bite and immediately called GPD to have the cookies tested for illegal substances (😂).. Simply amazing!! During my first visit I tried the loaded oatmeal raisin, and the double chocolate chip - I came in right before closing and these were the only cookies that were left. I assumed these were unpopular because they were still available after a long day. Those cookies were the absolute best... which led to me visiting again today to try more. I was very very pleased.. The lemon white chocolate was the biggest surprise, but the loaded oatmeal raisin still takes the crown as my #1. Every cookie was the best I've had in each category. Keep up the great work, I look forward to trying more.

🍪 All of the cookie varieties are delicious. They have limited edition flavors as well. Each made with fresh, delicious ingredients and baked with love❤️. Some of my favorites are Lemon White Chocolate, Chocolate Walnut and S'mores and Cookies and Cream 🤤 are some of my favorites! Great as a treat for the family, friends or co-workers. Brother Cookie is amazing! 🍪

Amazing local cookie bakery. Mini cookies are huge and giant cookies are insanely large! They always have unique, gourmet flavors and they add new ones regularly. There's a small seating area inside and you can buy day old cookies for cheaper and they still taste just as good. We love the strawberry cheesecake, browned butter, fig and rosemary and oatmeal cookies.
Sydney V — Google review
I purchased the Browned Butter & Chocolate Chip... They are the best!! Flavorful, soft, fresh... and I didn't have to warm them up. Also, I got the giant-size and they are huge

We were expecting good cookies, but they were absolutely amazing! We tried four different kinds including lemon white chocolate (our favourite), chocolate chunk roasted walnut, red velvet and s'mores and everysingle one was unbelievably delicious. Perfect texture, rich flavor, and top-notch quality. The price was totally worth it (and honestly not expensive). As the saying goes, we came for copper and found gold. Definitely a local gem everyone should try!

Le Macaron French Pastries is a charming patisserie that transports you straight to the heart of France with its exquisite selection of treats. From their signature macarons, available in an impressive 21 flavors including gluten-free options, to freshly baked croissants and indulgent pastries like tiramisu and napoleons, every bite is a celebration of flavor.
Visited Gainesville today, so we decided to check out Le Macaron shop before heading back home, cute little shop, good variety of flavors for the macarons, we tried a strawberry lime and a salted caramel, I would have them a 7/10, ( and that’s cos I m a macaron freak 🤦🏻‍♀️), I wish they had a bit more flavor, and turns out they not made in house, but still very delicious compared to store bought ones, we also had croissants which they were goood eats, however what reality impressed me was their pistachio cake slices, it was delicious, light, presentation was great. Next time I will try their eclairs and chocolate little bonbons.

We ordered the hazelnut cake and were really disappointed. It was so hard that it actually broke my fork! We waited 10-15 minutes hoping it would soften, but it stayed rock solid. It seemed like it had been kept in the freezer way too long.. it had almost no flavor at all. We ended up giving up on eating it. A cake should never be that hard for any reason.. seriously, lol.

August is top tier. Best Barista in Florida. She's sweet, kind, and has great customer service. Always helps us immediately with a smile and patience. All Hail the great August.

Stopped by, first visit, we looove macarons! I had the pistachio flavored macaron and it was delicious. My husband tried the Colombian coffee flavored one, he could taste the coffee, liked it. We’d say they are above average. It’s not like my favorite place, Madeline’s in Charlotte(South Park), NC where they’re baking every day, so I’ll say they are above the local average in macarons. At the Gainesville location it turns out no one is cooking in house as they have their Sarasota based French baker doing the macarons for them. Ambience is very nice. You can get a mimosa and croissant for $5 today! They do offer other bakery items and a few chocolate items, and other cocktails. I will come back to try a cocktail & sweet after dinner some time in near feature.

What nice coffee shop, delicious pastries and macaroons.... And also home made ice-cream
Juan N — Google review
Everything looks so pretty! But it doesn’t taste pretty. The macarons have a gummy texture, not airy and light as I am accustomed to. The ice cream was too sweet and lacked balance. Also, there is a “waiting period” of 5-10 minutes before you can consume your dessert. That’s egregious!
Jessica G — Google review
Today was our second visit in two days! Amazing coffee and treats. Owner is so nice and also a veteran. Beautiful store with the best macarons ever! A must stop in Gainesville.

What an incredible little pastry, coffee and gelato shop!! The owner was very friendly, personable and informative of the variety of pastries, macarons and coffee they offered. The macarons are exquisite works of art-made by a pastry chef with 40+ years of experience. The employees were wonderful-friendly, sweet and knowledgeable! Fantastic experience and the atmosphere is one-of -a kind!! I highly recommend this gem for breakfast, all day coffee needs and sweet treats!

Nestled in the heart of Gainesville, Florida, The Camellia Rose Inn is a delightful blend of casual elegance and historic charm. This enchanting bed and breakfast boasts a lovely wraparound porch where guests can unwind while soaking in the serene atmosphere. Each room features private baths, ensuring comfort and privacy for all visitors. The inn not only offers cozy accommodations but also plays an active role in uplifting the community by supporting local organizations like the PACE Center for Girls, which empowers at-risk youth.
I just had the most wonderful night staying at this beautiful bed and breakfast. My travel plans went askew and I needed a place to stay very very last minute. Not only were they so very accommodating but the property and the room were top tier. The bed was extremely comfortable with amazing sheets, bathrobes and towels. Although this is a historic building, the shower's water pressure and temps were perfect and the room had great AC. Jacqueline was so kind and friendly. Although I was the only guest, she came over just to make me breakfast. ❤️ While having my breakfast on the porch, I met another caretaker of the property, a lovely Mr. Briggs, a fine and gracious gentleman who was so sweet and friendly that he made my entire morning. Thank you very much for such a lovely experience. 😊

We are not Bed and Breakfast people but we were pleasantly pleased with this place. Jacquline, the innkeeper, and her husband Mike were both great. Mike makes the breakfast in the morning at the sister property. He is very welcoming and a great chef! We stayed in the Inspiration room in the Camilla Rose house. Both nights we came home and sat on the front porch to relax. It was the perfect location for visiting our Florida Gator and going to the game.
Devyn K — Google review
Checked in at around 5pm on Monday for our mini honeymoon stay at the Camellia Rose Inn. Location is quaint. Innkeeper was nice, but then told us she was leaving in half an hour, which was weird. Room was very cozy, but the bed was rock hard, the bathroom was tiny (but nice), and the windows so thin you can hear every single conversation of anyone outside the perimeter of the house. The entire night we both had trouble sleeping. Wake up at around 7:45 next morning and as I’ve already gotten up and out of bed, my wife, sits up in the bed, and her whole entire side just collapses onto the floor. Called maintenance and they were very nice and understanding and said they would take care of it no charge. Went downstairs to breakfast. This was the nail in the coffin for my experience with this place. Coffee is make it yourself with a keurig, cinnamon rolls were out of a can and made in an air fryer, eggs were hard scrambled, precooked heated sausage that looked like it was just microwaved, and flavorless Canadian bacon. Had jams and jellies for biscuits and toast but no toast or biscuits lol. I won’t be coming back and I would never recommend anyone to stay here. We paid $340 for one night and I can make a breakfast myself far better. Not even joking, but I can go down to Hardee’s or McDonald’s and get a better, more filling and flavorful breakfast for $10 than what I had at Camellia Rose Inn. Sad to see that these people make their money off of people that have such low standards that enjoy bland food, stiff beds, and paper thin windows. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

Stayed in Southern Charm room for 2 nights for a wedding we were invited to in Melrose. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Staff was great! The Innkeeper and her husband (who cooks the breakfasts, preparing unique and delicious dishes) were both super friendly. He showed us more of the property, and most of the rooms at the Laurel Oak sister property and Camelia Inn have jetted tubs and king beds. Rooms were cold at night which we loved coming back too after a long day. Great experience. Great value. Highly recommend and plan on returning.

Our night at The Camila Rose Inn was perfect for our visit to see our daughters at the University of Florida. The location is great; safe and the king size bed was the most comfortable I think I’ve ever slept in. The Inn keeper, Jacquelyn, was very accommodating and our hot , homemade , DELICIOUS breakfast the next morning was at the beautiful sister Inn, The Laurel Oak. It was out of this world homemade, exquisite, one of a kind , by chef Mike!! The service and atmosphere made it a six star experience for me, my husband, and our twin daughters. Thank you, Jacquelyn & Mike , for going above and beyond to give us such a nice visit . We WILL be back very soon .
Heather W — Google review
The renovations of the rooms really took away from the historic charm. The management had a hard time handling the other guests and enforcing the rules which affected our sleep. It's nice that it's so close to downtown but there were panhandlers coming onto the property which made us really uncomfortable especially when we had to park on the street.
LE L — Google review
My husband and I have stayed at this Inn twice now, and we absolutely love it. It will be difficult to ever go back to a local hotel after enjoying the comfortable rooms, the quiet neighborhood, the lovely porch under the oak trees. The Inn is beautiful, charming, and full of character. The bed is very comfortable, bathrobes are plush, towels are so nice. Everything about this place is lovely. Loved waking up to an easy continental breakfast downstairs where I could sneak down and grab something in my PJs really quick. The food and coffee are fresh and delicious and I love that there are snacks available to grab late at night. We will be back.

A home away from home, we stayed here during the Hurricate Milton evacuation and could not have chosen a better place to stay. The innkeepers, Mike and Jacqueline are wonderful, supportive and kind. The home-cooked breakfast every day was phantastic, as were the high-end shower amenities, super plush towels, superb bedding and lovely decorative touches. The inn has a darling wrap-around porch with comfy seats and is superbly located in downtown Gainesville.

Wow! How did I not find them sooner. Finally found the solution to the endless rundown hotels and beat up air BNBs that seem to be the only options in Gainesville. The property was amazing, every amentity was either already in the room or a phone call away. The maintenance crew as well as the front office were always available to answer any questions and tend to little things that came up around the house. They made this stressful time extremely easy. Would give it 10 stars for high quality of savory and sweets, smooth coffee served in real china!! OMG and the fine tea selection is served with proper timer for brewing and so European! Yes, for those remaining souls that appreciate the fine details- this is heaven! Lovely 2 team members at the register, thank you for your sweet and caring service🙏, as that too is almost extinct at most coffee places. This place is awesome the owner used to travel the world and taste coffee. They make my coffee perfect every time full flavor it's great. You won't get a bad cup here. Firstly, I wanted to say thank you for your support to Ukraine! I really appreciate that! ❤️🇺🇦 Unfortunately I was not so lucky to meet the owner to say that personally. Secondly, I was amazed with the interior, and with the cute little alarm clock for my earl gray tea. The tea and an apple pie were amazing! 😍 The interior reminded me one of the coffee shops in Ukraine, where many creative people meet to share their incredible ideas!

Convenient location , comfortable atmosphere. A few more varieties of non dairy milk options would be nice to choose from, soy was free but oat cost $0.50 extra. We ordered four different drinks and honestly they all tasted the same. They weren’t bad, just nothing terribly exciting or different about them. It was nice to find an actual local coffee shop, besides chains or gas stations, and the staff was very friendly. I would like to try Volta again, next time I visit Gainesville.

Volta Coffee, Tea & Chocolate is a super chill coffee shop. Their pour over section of the menu didn't really have any good descriptions of the beans and what the flavor profile were for all of them. However ,the barista was more than happy to explain all their flavor profiles to me. I had their Guatemala Lucia Pablo because I was in the mood for a coffee with floral notes and so their recommendation was spot on. It was very yummy. The mug provided was stylish too. I'll have to try their chocolate drinks next time because it appears they use fresh chocolate and you can't go wrong with that!

I love Vine, however I'm noticing my daily lunches are overbaked. The cinnamon rolls are pretty torched and black. The loaf of bread I bought was full of holes. My cookie was really stale today. The customer service has gone downhill. One of the employees has wonderful customer service, says hello and makes you feel welcome. She is the "face" of the business and does a fantastic job. Everyone else stares at you and doesn't say a word until they feel like prioritizing you.

Never been to the brick and mortar shop before as I usually get something from one of the farmers markets. Came in on a Tuesday morning for a quick breakfast of a ham and cheese croissant and an iced coffee. The pastry was delicious and butter. What really impressed me was the fact they used frozen coffee as ice cubes so your cold brew doesn't get watered down! What a nice touch!

There was an awesome sandwich they had on the menu with Brie and cranberry or soemthing it Was like $7…. But now it’s off the menu it was delicious! In alternative I got the guava pastry and it wasn’t that good. The sparkling grapefruit juice was gross. My sandwich was also not actually really toasted it was so weird. There’s an older gentleman who makes the pasta and he’s super kind though! The overall atmosphere of the place is off. Mostly I don’t understand the weird “end prison slavery” sign … but please do educate me on that.

Thebread baker is a star. Excellent sourdough. Unfortunately to say your pastry chef is not so good. I have never had a bad croissant in my life until today. A croissant is supposed to be flaky. The croissant that I had today from your place was soggy and oily. I suspect that soeone does not know about using cold butter not a butter/oil mix. It was drenched in oil. I also had a scone that was at best mediocre......I threw it out after 3 bites. It wasn't awful like the croissant just not good. I drove from Dunnellon for the sour dough and it was worth it.

First time visiting this local bakery. I was originally looking for a homemade pie store and when that turned up results that were too far from Gville, I settled for baked goods. I was actually searching for office party snacks and ended up here from all the good reviews. Theresa, co-owner of Vine, was behind the counter on this very rainy Thursday afternoon. She was very accommodating and friendly. Her husband was busy baking in the back area. The baked treats looked great and were slightly low in supply already despite the gloomy weather. About 3 people were sitting and eating in the small café area, and there was 1 customer who was in the store waiting for us to finish. My husband and I spent about $70, including tip for: 3 large cinnamon rolls, 5 large brownies, 1 very large cranberry scone, 3 chocolate croissants, and 3 cinnamon chocolate chip bread pudding slices. Top quality was well-worth the price. My co-workers really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls and brownies. The chocolate croissants were also gone pretty quickly. I personally liked the bread pudding and the brownies since both weren't too sweet nor too bland and went well with a cup of hot tea. My husband's favorite was the cinnamon roll, which appears to be a best-selling item here. Even if it's around the newer section of Gainesville, this bakery / eatery has the nostalgic energy of a French-style vinyard café (the store name makes a lot of sense as they also sell wine here), especially with the gray stone section walls outside the bakery. The outdoor patio area was soaked since it was raining all day, and the metal on some of the furniture was oxidizing, but don't let that rustic exterior turn you away - the baked goods are amazing. We'll be back!👏

Love coming here for lunch when I want fresh bread. I get their hot vegetarian sandwiches, quiche, croissants, country loaves, and grab-go-sandwiches. This is a small business, so go early to beat the line and before they sell out.

Curia On The Drag is a coffee shop located on a 2.5-acre property, offering local coffee, tea, beer, wine, baked goods, and desserts. In addition to the coffee shop, there's a food truck with a plant-based menu next to a solar pergola and Dads Bar that hosts live shows and offers beer and wine.
Yay!! Love finding not just vegan friendly, but 100% vegan. And it's a collective of a few places. So. So. Dreamy!! Cute little space to hang out, study, write, eat, shop, and have a coffee/tea/beer/wine. Had the Crabby Patty from the food truck. OMG. Mmmmm. Love when I find dishes that aren't on every other menu. The guava and cream cheese turnover and cookies were amazing. Dad's Bar is a hip little place to grab a sip. And. The AUK market has loads of adorableness.

Curia on the Drag is one of my favorite cozy spots in Gainesville. The ambiance is incredibly relaxing, made even better by the beautiful jazz music that plays softly in the background. It creates the perfect atmosphere to unwind or get some light work done. As a big tea person, I especially appreciate their wide selection of teas. The mint tea with honey is a personal favorite. It is refreshing, soothing, and just the right amount of sweet. There’s plenty of outdoor seating if you like the fresh air, but as someone who prefers indoor spaces, I find the interior to be warm, welcoming, and ideal for reading or studying. All in all, a gem of a café.

This place is so cool! If you have never been here before it is important to note that the food truck, the store, the coffee shop, and the bar— are all one business. You can sit anywhere. And the vibes are immaculate! 100% vegan menu. My vegan friend loved it, I thought the food truck was pretty good and the baked goods were amazing. 10/10 recommend if you’re in the area.

I accidentally found this place on my way back to South Florida and I only stopped at the food truck… and let me just say- I’m going to make it a point to stop again when I’m back next month and actually go inside the coffee shop too! I got the Baja “fish” tacos and the best yucca fries everrrrr!! I’m not even vegan but this meal was on point! And make sure and check out The Auk Market in the same lot before or after your amazing food!

I had a great experience at “Curia On The Drag” Food Truck ! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and clearly made with care. What stood out even more was Mr. Anthony (the person running the truck). He was incredibly friendly, explained the dishes patiently, and helped me choose something I’d enjoy. The service was fast and efficient. You can tell they really care about both the food and the customers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for tasty vegan options with excellent service! We took Tempeh Rueben and Tacos “Heart of Palm fried” and both were delicious.

i was in gainesville and thought this food truck may be interesting to try! it was a really hot day, so i picked up my food and left, but the truck was in a nice area with a lot of patio seating, and the person inside preparing food was really helpful! i ordered the curia reuben (i love to try reubens) and i appreciated that it came on marbled rye! i enjoyed it and would recommend it to fellow reuben enjoyers. i also tried the baja style tacos which came in a nice warm tortilla! they were super messy to eat, but i liked the cubed tempeh and purple cabbage. lastly i got the guava bbq loaded mac and cheese. the toppings were fun, i love picked onions and coleslaw, but i didn’t taste much guava or bbq flavors, and there was some oily residue that was not part of the sauce that gathered around the noodles. i probably would not order it again. overall a good experience, and i would love to come back and try their rachel sandwich!

Update: Returned and attended their annual Valentine’s Day Market on a cloudy day. Enjoyed the coffee and all of the vendors but especially the art work. Cool vibe and nice way to spend a part of the day. Parking can be harrowing but would definitely return! Really only got to see this from the outside but enjoyed the fact that all of the shops are connected and open up to a courtyard to recline, eat or gather… very cool place for sure.

One of my favorite places, love the biscottis but was super disappointed to hear one of the staff members brag about getting someone fired and having the manager or whomever wrapped around her finger. Put a bad taste in my mouth. On the other hand, the new hire who is super tall is super sweet.

Coffee Culture is a delightful coffee haven that embodies the essence of community and quality. Nestled conveniently off 13th Street, this charming spot boasts an inviting atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options, perfect for any mood. Known for its exceptional customer service, Coffee Culture serves up consistently high-quality brews alongside creative seasonal flavors each month. Early risers can indulge in a variety of pastries starting at 6 a.m., including vegan treats like banana bread that cater to diverse dietary preferences.
Those of you who have been with me for awhile know that I enjoy Local. Well I finally made time to visit a wonderful coffee shop that I had been driving past for too long. The coffee and all the latte choices are excellent as you might expect. The fruit bar which is homemade by the way is moist and loaded with fresh fruit. I tried the Tri-Berry. Awesome 🤩. As was the Carmel mocha hot. The service is great. And very nice. Wait time was only 4 min. The decor is like your library at home or anywhere you can relax. Very cool. WiFi is fast and free. So stop driving by and stop in. Even if it’s the drive thru, you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy 😉

Coffee Culture is a nice spot with a welcoming and relaxed vibe, perfect for getting some work done or just hanging out. The ambience is definitely its strongest point -- cozy and comfortable, with plenty of space to sit and focus. The coffee and drinks are decent, though not exceptional. It’s not the place I’d go for an unforgettable cup of coffee, but it’s reliable and enjoyable enough. Overall, it’s a good spot if you’re looking for a pleasant atmosphere to study, work, or unwind.
Myles T — Google review
The coffee is so delicious. I ordered two of their iced chocolate mocha, two iced white chocolate mochas, two breville lattes, a black coffee, The service here was exceptional! The environment is very casual with plenty of tables to enjoy your drinks and possibly a wonderful dessert from the dessert case. Parking is a little bit tight but we managed to get a parking space pretty easily. The prices for the coffees are competitive with other specialty coffee shops, but the quality of the beans that they use here did not disappoint this coffee snob. If you're in this area, definitely give this place a shot. It is definitely well worth the trip!
Florida N — Google review
Visited the drive thru on a rainy Thursday for hot tea and ended up buying 2 hot green teas plus 7 cookies: 2 chocolate chip cookies and 5 snickerdoodles. Tea hit the spot. The cookies were a hit with the management and my co-workers. My husband and I shared a chocolate chip cookie; it was crunchy, soft and just sweet enough to satisfy my snack craving. The drive thru window girl was really friendly and helpful with offering information on the baked goods. Spent about $40 including a generous tip on the order. We will definitely be back to stop by and order in to see what they have on a day with nicer weather!
L P — Google review
I feel giving a 4 is a bit generous but that’s what I decided on. We went during the winter time and we got the latte and it was warm, then we asked for them to somehow make it hotter and they said they couldn’t. The vibe on the inside isn’t my favorite either, but I’d be happy to come back and give it another shot.
Wade — Google review
Great coffee and customer service! The place is great to study inside, and the ambiance and coffee esthetic is perfect for a story pic.

Good lattes, friendly service, the drive thru moved quick. But oh my gosh the oat bars are life changing. I had the peach apricot oat bar and It was divine.
Emily — Google review
Overall I enjoyed this coffee shop. I got the iced chai tea and it was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. There is the main area but then a quiet back room to read or work. It is definitely more of a dive compared to new or trendy coffee shops in the area, but it adds to the nostalgia and charm, and it was a great place to get work done.

Pascal's Coffeehouse is a Christian-themed cafe located near the University of Florida campus, making it a popular spot for students and locals. The cozy atmosphere, complete with a fireplace and comfy seating, provides a welcoming escape from the chaos of university life. With its open two-story layout and Uppercrust bakery menu, Pascal's embodies millennial coffee culture. It's known as a safe haven for those seeking privacy to study or relax.
I am a big fan of Pascals! The baristas are all very kind and intentional about showing good hospitality to customers. They take their time to make sure they make the best quality drinks and create a homey environment. This is also a great place to meet and hang out with other Christian students, since it is located in the Christian study center. I can’t go to Pascals without running into friends from church or student ministries. My favorite drinks to get are the matcha with almond milk and latte with honey!
Brooke D — Google review
I like the option of meeting for coffee near campus. It’s walking distance to the north side of UF. But my hot coffee was lukewarm and took nearly 10 minutes to make when there wasn’t a line. My friends who arrived before me said their coffees were also not hot. I overheard the girl in front of me complain her coffee’s flavor was off. I may give it another chance when the fall term starts. Parking is also not great here. It’s almost always full in the lot.
Jeremy W — Google review
Beautiful ambience and delicious coffee. Plenty of spaces (inside and outside) spread across two floors for enjoying coffee while working, chatting or just admiring the architecture if building or glaring the streets/trees outside. Definitely one of the best coffeee places around.
Jay N — Google review
I ordered a small iced Cuban, which was $4.84 and didn’t fill the cup. It also had no sugar whatsoever (which I thought it would, as most Cuban coffees have sweet condensed milk in them) and thus tasted extremely bitter. Not a Cuban coffee to me, definitely a rip off. The place was crowded and hectic. It took 8 minutes for anyone to get my order because all the employees were making drinks. I also had nowhere to sit after ordering because every seat was filled (at 10 AM). The aesthetics of the place are nice and the baristas seem friendly but overall, I would not come here again. It doesn’t look like a good place to study and you probably have to come as soon as it opens to get a chair, which is ridiculous in my opinion.
Hannah — Google review
This is a really cute place to study and they have so much more seating when compared to other places. They have two stories, both with indoor and outdoor seating. During weekdays, they can get pretty busy. I also really liked their coffee, I got the iced coffee with cream and sugar. I didn’t try their pastries but they look really good, but they sometimes run out of them later in the day.
Britney M — Google review
Beautiful space, however the matcha was grainy and coffee flavors very limited. Pastry’s are from upper crust (great local bakery) but seem to be at least a day old and rather stale. Could just go to upper crust and save some money and get better quality.
Liam J — Google review
It is a beautiful place. Coffee is excellent, pastry is not that great, too greasy soaked in butter but customer service is A+. Perfect place to study of do businesses or just have a coffee with friends. It has nice christian literature and other books. Parking is difficult which is normal for the location. Way better than starbucks for sure.

CYM Coffee Co, also known as Cymplify, is a beloved spot in Gainesville that holds a special place in the hearts of coffee enthusiasts and locals. The cafe offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a library-like setting and a porch for patrons to enjoy their java and light fare. It strikes the perfect balance between quirky and sophisticated, creating an inclusive environment where customers can savor their favorite drinks year-round, including seasonal favorites like PSLs.
Love CYM Coffee. A regular stop for me when passing through the Newberry area. Coffee has a nice smooth and sweet taste. I typically get my usual oat milk latte and this has never disappointed me here. They offer plenty of cozy indoor and outdoor (shaded) seating. The location is on a bit of a wonky corner but perfectly manageable. Great stop. Highly recommend!

I go semi regularly for coffee with a friend here. This trip I had a coconut cream latte, but I also do drip coffee if I am not wanting sugar. All drinks are excellent. They often have fun special lattes for the holiday or season. There isn’t a lot of indoor seating but more than many other coffee shops that have a local and unique vibe. Indoor decor is cute and the library room has books to read and a large table for a group of six or to share with other small groups. There is also a lot of outdoor seating for nicer days both on the porch and on the side.

Neat local coffee shop! I stopped with some friends while we were passing through the area. We had a great experience - the service was friendly and speedy, and our drinks were great! The latte I had (coconut caramel) was tasty - almost the perfect balance of coffee/espresso taste with the coconut flavor. The interior is nicely put together and has an almost quaint feeling. We’d definitely stop again if we are in the area!

Bay island is one of the best coffee spots in town and is an amazing local business. Super good coffee! Got the iced latte with the cinnamon bun syrup and oatmilk. Even with oatmilk it was really good! Also ordered the breakfast sandwich in an everything bagel 😋, a frozen coconut coffee (also really good!), and a fruit smoothie. One of the top best tasting coffees I’ve had, probably better beans or roasting. The other reviews did not let down. The guy was rude 😂 But not so much, not in a way that we felt attacked. Seems like all they hire are rude people 😆

Know Where Coffee is a top-notch coffee shop that offers customized coffee to suit your preferences. The baristas are knowledgeable and assist in selecting everything from the type of milk to the brewing method, ensuring you get your perfect cup of joe. While their food selection may be limited, it's tasty and unique. The interior provides ample seating, including a lounge area, although parking can be a bit tricky to find.
Been to a couple other coffee places in Gainesville like volta, pascal's, maudes, etc., and I definitely think this place has some amazing coffee that's always brewed to perfection. I love getting espresso with milk but you can't go wrong with the cold brew and dark chocolate iced mochas either :)
Nirali P — Google review
Know Where Coffee (coffee shops of mention) Order: Breve Cordadito, Sweet Spot Iced Latte, Cornbread Waffle Price: $13 Pros: The espresso based drinks were simple but phenomenal, they didn't have a lot of food but it was tasty and unique, tons of seating inside including a lounge styled area, the staff was really friendly and knowledgable. Cons: Parking was confusing to find (it's behind the building, down and ally) and there wasn't much of it, minimal outside seating. Thoughts: We were headed to Gainesville to help someone move in and, of course, had to find a coffee shop to try while we were in town. We didn't know how much time we would have so we decided to start with KWC in case we only got to try one. So glad we went with this as our first choice, it was the perfect way to start the afternoon. We walked in and immediately got the coffee shop vibe that always makes me so happy. From the coffee quotes on the wall, to all the different tools for making coffee scattered across their counter, it all just said, "welcome back, drink coffee." After talking to the folks behind the counter, who were incredibly helpful and friendly, we settled on an iced “Sweet Spot” latte and a Breve Cordadito. Both were incredible, the perfect balance of coffee and sweetness. The Cordadito was a smooth blend of espresso, milk and sugar; not overly sweet but still enough that it helped accentuate the flavors of the espresso itself. The Sweet Spot latte was some unique drink they cooked up and it was definitely worth it. Along with our drinks we decided to order a cornbread waffle and I’m so glad we did. I honestly didn’t know what to expect but the result was super tasty. It was almost like they just took whipped up cornbread mix and popped in a waffle iron, then topped it with cheese. While it wasn’t huge it was a really good snack to tide us over until lunch later. My only real complaint is around parking (and its not really the stores fault). The parking is down an ally around the back of the building and there are not a lot of parking spots. I would recommend they put up some kind of signage because I had to drive around the block twice and then “guess” that there must be parking behind the building. Unfortunately I had to leave fairly quickly after discovering this awesome spot, but I definitely want to come back some time. Between the space, the coffee, the food, and the staff, Know Where Coffee should absolutely be on your list of coffee shops to try in Gainesville. It feels like a great place to study, or just hang out with friends. So far its easily my favorite coffee shop in Gainesville and I’ll be sure to stop in if I’m ever back in town.

Perfect for any celebration—be it weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, or graduations—this bakery transforms your sweet dreams into reality with their artistic flair. The talented bakers pay meticulous attention to detail, ensuring each pastry is not only delicious but also visually stunning.
We had the good fortune to get our wedding cake from Dream Day Cakes and have been loyal customers ever since. Our cake was incredible, and Fred and Yeni are the best. We order all of our special occasion treats from Dream Day, including our daughter’s first birthday cake, and everything is always perfect. Love it!

From our first visit with Fred at Dream Day Cakes, we knew that they would create the perfect wedding cake experience. They were able to more than accommodate the bride’s gluten allergy and still deliver a delicious showstopper of cake. The guests completely enjoyed the orange and blue cupcakes at our tailgate reception and they looked beautiful on the display they created. Additionally, they helped the bride surprise the groom with another culinary wonder—an exact replica of a Millennium Falcon. Yeni is truly an artist. We would recommend Dream Day Cakes for any event that requires a cake or cupcakes.

My partner and I were very pleased ordering our wedding cake from Dream Day Cakes. We described what we had in mind, a very dreamy, tree of life theme and Yeni was able to design a cake that turned out magical. Our guests loved the cake, every bite was delicious. This is the best cake I have ever had the pleasure of devouring, hands down. Besides the fact that the design was the exact replica of my Gretsch drum set, with a mini marshmallow as the kick pedal (how freaking brilliant), the combination of strawberry and tres leches flavor was divine! The cake was so fresh and moist. Generally, I am not a big fan of buttercream but that was the first buttercream I've tried that didn't make me feel like I needed a shot of insulin after. I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

We LOVED Yeni and the products we received from Dream Day Cakes! We hired them to make our wedding cake, cupcakes, and keylime tarlets for our wedding. Not only were they absolutely gorgeous and exactly as I had pictured in my mind, but they were truly delicious. Her and her husband were kind and worked with us. You could really tell that this business was their pride and joy and enjoyed making us happy. I would recommend them to anyone. I've had cakes where the cake was too rich and the icing was so sweet you can barely take two bites. This was absolutely NOT the case with their food. It had subtle flavors while still being distinct and delicious. The cake was moist and the keylime tartlets were perfection.

The cookies are big and what I love the most is they aren’t too sweet. Same for the frosting. So good!! A very nice employee complimented me on my earrings as well! Great staff and great treats! If you’ve never had them before go now to treat yourself!

They are absolutely great. We got our cookies quickly even though there was a long line. They are pricey but their cookies are huge and they have different flavors every week. My favorite is the basic chocolate chip, but I really enjoyed the caramel one and it had Twix on it. Some of their o cookies are chilled which is nice. Their cookies are super soft
Britney M — Google review
I’ve been to other Crumbl locations in Florida and never had an issue. I ordered two cookies last week. One cookie was for a child. When we got about halfway home (we don’t live in Gainesville), the cookie for the child was just a plain cookie and was missing all the icing that the child was looking forward to. My cookie was runny. Yes, I understand their cookies are soft in the middle. This was not “soft”. This was a cookie not done baking. I have emailed this location and left messages for management to call back and have received no responses. I do not recommend this location in the slightest.

Opus Coffee, established in 2002, aims to provide a top-notch experience while maintaining a cozy atmosphere and high quality. Their diverse menu features Latin-influenced coffee drinks, ensuring there's something for everyone. Despite being a popular spot in Gainesville, the wait time is minimal. Opus Coffee UF Health East Tower is conveniently located within the heart and vascular tower of UF Health, offering various coffee options and reasonably priced breakfast items.
Recently was at UF Innovation for my wife's medical procedure and stopped in for a coffee afterwards... the best coffee I have had in years! Cafe latte was so smooth that you don't even need sugar...for us, that says something about the taste and quality of the coffee!
CoralGator — Google review
Nice place, nice vibe, nice staff. Cons: the coffee. Everything is served at the point of boiling which completely burns the beans beyond repair. Even a single shot Cortado (unusual in specialty places but still) is burned beyond repair, the top layer of frothed milk is just bitter foam. The batch (filter coffee) is beyond repair, no notes and even if we were to consider it an American staple, at this price point I was truly hoping in an improvement and not to burn both my hand and my tongue. Pity, the space is nice and the city needs good coffee but this ain’t it.
Besiana B — Google review
Fast, friendly, clean service with a smile. I got a small matcha latte and my husband got a hot mint tea. Both were good. Prices weren't crazy high, so that was also nice. Menu photos in my review!
L P — Google review
Just fell in love with this place. Their coffee is great. Lots of cool options. The only thing U didn’t like was my sandwich, just because it wasn’t very hot or melted. But coffee wise…amazing. Great place to study.

Quiet coffee place where most tables are taken up by UF students. Great coffee and matcha

While coming back to Tampa from Savannah we were feeling hungry and decided to try coffee from opus coffee. The opus coffee is a coffee shop at the campus and it was packed with students when we went. We ordered Iced Mocha Coffee and it was amazing. The service was also fast and friendly staff with positive vibes.
Nishant N — Google review
Great little coffee shop! Loving the vibes inside and the staff was friendly and got the orders out fast. Not crowded at all even at 10am on a weekend. Delicious specialty and classic coffees. A small selection of fresh pastries as well! I got the Dragon Slayer specialty and it was a great little morning treat! Highly recommend it, as it wasn't expensive at.
Nikki S — Google review
Opus Coffee at the Innovation District offers many unique espresso beverages made with their Slayer machine, a very high end espresso machine that produces a high quality product you'll be hard pressed to find elsewhere. They also have drip coffee, nitro cold brew, iced coffee and classic coffee drinks as well as tea ( and not cheap store bagged tea either! It's imported from Austria!) This location offers ample, comfortable seating and plenty of space to work in. Today I sampled three drinks: the Slay Queen, the A.C Slayter, and the Christian Slayter. Each drink was uniquely tasty. The A.C Slayter was a cool, refreshing iced cinnamon drink with triple espresso, rice milk horchata, and coconut cream. I enjoyed the warmth of the Christian Slayter which came in a big, cute cup with espresso, oat milk, organic vanilla syrup, Vermont dark and Amber syrup. I recommend you come and stay here a while. The baristas and very kind, patient and helpful. Refreshing change from some other locations here in town with rude, stuck up baristas. Don't forget to try some of their hot sandwiches, fresh salads or tasty snacks!

Nestled in the heart of Hail Plantation, Petit Uppercrust is a delightful little bakery that opened its doors in March 2022. Despite its smaller size compared to the original Mothercrust, this charming spot offers an impressive array of baked goods that are sure to satisfy any craving. The cozy atmosphere invites you to relax with a cup of coffee served in real cups—a lovely touch that enhances your experience.
I like this place better than the original Uppercrust. It's more of a cafe. There's less pressure to order. This has a great vibe that makes you want to stay and hang out. It's got all the great pastries and the coffee is great. I'm upset I only just found out about it.
Redsoxguy116 — Google review
I made an unexpected trip to Gainesville after finding out my aunt was in a bad car accident and stopped by this place for coffee support. My family raves about their croissants, but they were out and I was a bit bummed. They gave me their macaroons instead and sent me home with a ton of goodies after finding out I drove all the way from Tallahassee. It was a tough day, but their kindness made it better. I will be stopping by on most, if not all of my visits to Gainesville from now on and I’ve already recommended them to a bunch of friends in the area. The food, coffee and service are superb.
Anita B — Google review
Delicious pastries, nice staff, great coffee, what's not to love? This little cafe is the cutest place, love the decor. The dishes are all mismatched and adorable. This place is dangerously close to my house! The spicy latte was soooooo good. It had the perfect touch of cayenne. The chocolate croissant had a nice crunch and it tastes like they put a touch of cinnamon in it, which is absolutely lovely! The quiche was buttery, delicate and delicious. I will be back!!!
Korrie S — Google review
While this is technically a smaller version of Uppercrust Bakery this by far is a much more inviting environment to meet up with a friend. They offer carefully crafted coffee drinks and amazing baked goods for you to choose from. The quiche is a regular's favorite no matter what flavor they are offering. If going for coffee go for the cappuccino so that you can enjoy the quality of the coffee without diluting it down with extras. Service is fast and friendly. They have both indoor and outdoor covered seating. They often sell out early so if you are planning on a late trip you might want to call in advance after 3pm.
Dale T — Google review
Adorable back patio (with a power outlet). Fantastic food - I love their quiche, the raspberry choc pastries, and any of the savory pastries, and every employee I've met is kind, effective, and an all-around good hire. The coffee is pretty decent, but the pricing and policies for it are a little confusing and inconvenient at best, frustrating when not consistent. $4 for a 12oz mug of pretty good drip coffee that they can't reheat for you (a microwave seems like a useful investment for the patrons prioritizing beverage temp) - they can only top it off for you for $3 more, the cost of their small coffee. It's not the end of the world, but maybe get your hot beverages to-go if you dine in so you at least have a lid to keep it from getting cold quickly? It's probably fine on a warm day. This would be my go-to place for laptop work or studying, but the coffee menu/policies aren't really designed for that. If that's not important to you, you'll love it and leave a 5 star review. Again, fantastic food and ambiance, good coffee with overly-limiting policies, and solid employees.
Drew D — Google review
Good food and coffee ! The staff could use some customer service training . Portion sizes are small for the costs . 12 oz coffee is the largest , adding a flavor and plant based milk for $1 each makes it likely the most expensive coffee in the county at $6.95
Dave S — Google review
Looking for a cozy spot with delicious bakery pastries and drinks? Check out Petite Uppercrust in Hail Plantation. Though parking is limited, there are a few designated spots behind the cafe. The cafe has a homey feel and is within walking distance of a Publix shopping plaza. I tried the egg style muffin and Strawberry lemonade tea, which were both pretty standard. However, the customer service was friendly and welcoming. The area is quiet and neighborly with light traffic during the mid-day.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is a popular bakery chain known for its wide variety of bundt cakes, ranging from bite-sized to tiered. Customers love the delicious and moist cakes available in numerous flavors such as Snickerdoodle and red velvet. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, offering great customer service. Customers appreciate the convenience of being able to walk in and purchase a beautifully decorated cake without a long wait or notice requirement.
I pre-ordered one of their delicious Lemon Bundt Cakes with Cream Cheese Icing in honor of what would have been my Sons 1st Birthday & it was absolutely FANTASTIC! Still extremely moist with that delicious and smooth frosting. Will definitely be ordering from here again! 🤍 (I added my own decor).

Huge thank you to Gabriela and Lily for their amazing help today! I accidentally put the wrong delivery address on my friend’s birthday order, and they were so kind and quick to help me fix it. They made a stressful moment feel easy and handled everything with such professionalism and warmth. I really appreciated their patience and positive attitude—customer service like that is hard to come by these days! Thanks again for saving the day and making sure my friend’s birthday surprise goes off without a hitch!
Jahnaya J — Google review
Always wanted to go into one of these bakery's, they have about 10 different bundt cakes to choose from as well as different sizes I ended up getting red velvet. It was really good moist and fluffy! Only reason I took one star off is all of the cakes are a cream cheese frosting which usually isn't my go to I wish there was a different option available as well. The lady said all the locations serve the same flavors.
Alessa K — Google review
Super easy to order online. Excellent location. Immaculate, clean store. Delicious cakes. This location is GREAT!

This place is the BEST! The Bundt cakes are amazing and so delicious. So moist and flavorful! I love the confetti one and the white chocolate raspberry. I highly recommend this place, for birthdays, graduations, anniversaries… or just because you want something sweet.

SIMPLY DELICIOUS! My son and I stopped in for a sweet treat after having dinner in a nearby restaurant. I ordered the Chocolate Chocolate Chip, and my son got the Red Velvet Individual Bundtlet, which is a one serving size cake. It's topped with a cream cheese frosting. The cakes were moist, very flavorful, and very rich. It was almost too much to eat in one sitting, but we managed 😆!

Cake was delicious! I was able to walk in and walk out with a beautiful delicious cake for my mom’s birthday! There was no waiting period or notice requirement and i loved it! I got the red velvet cake. It was so good and moist! I love the chocolate pieces throughout the cake. I will definitely be getting all of my cake from here from now on! Ordered again for my Grandma’s birthday and i let them decorate it. The cake came out so cute. Ordered it again on the same day and the cake was ready and decorated in like 10-15 mins! LOVE THAT WE HAVE NOTHING BUNDT CAKES in Gainesville!!!!

A wonderful new addition to the Gainesville bakery scene! The cakes here are amazing and come in so many flavors. I absolutely adoring the Snickerdoodle and red velvet bundlets. Everything i tried has been perfect and their frosting just melts in your mouth. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their product. Not too mention all the decor/retail is adorable! If you need a cake decorated they can do that too! They have so many options for customizable cake decor and get it done for you even if it's short notice. Whether its for a treat or party this new bakery does it all!
