Nestled just west of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Lindley Park Filling Station is a charming eatery that has transformed a former gas station into a vibrant dining destination. With its inviting earth-tone decor and cozy ambiance featuring wood furnishings and bar seating, this spot exudes warmth and comfort. The menu boasts an array of creative sandwiches, burgers, and delightful brunch options like smoked salmon quiche and cinnamon French toast.
Great lunch spot!! Outdoor and patio seating available but the inside is just as cool! It is a former gas station turned pub-like restaurant. It is a little small inside but has so much character and a cozy atmosphere! The food was....perfect! *chefs kiss* The menu variety is excellent for everyone, even vegetarian and gluten free! Must try if you're in the neighborhood. It is well worth it! I will definitely be back! *pictured is "The Waverly" and the Greek chicken special!*

A Hidden Gem in Lindley Park — Lindley Park Filling Station If you ever find yourself in Greensboro, North Carolina, do yourself a favor and head over to Lindley Park — one of the coolest little vintage neighborhoods around. It’s the kind of place where sidewalks are lined with towering trees, people are out walking their dogs, riding bikes, and strolling to nearby restaurants, all surrounded by charming craftsman-style and vintage homes. Tucked right into this picture-perfect neighborhood is one of my absolute favorite spots: Lindley Park Filling Station. This place is a true neighborhood gem — cozy, casual, and consistently delicious. Their menu is full of unique, creative sandwiches (most of them cleverly named after nearby streets), hearty salads, delicious soups, and amazing grass-fed burgers. My go-to is always the salad sampler: a fresh house salad with their incredible honey balsamic vinaigrette, a scoop of egg salad, their southern pasta salad, and my personal favorite — the roasted red pepper rosemary chicken salad, served with warm pita bread. It’s the perfect mix of flavors, and it never disappoints. Today, I treated myself to a slice of their key lime pie, and wow — it was absolutely excellent. You can really tell everything is made in-house with care, from the sandwiches to the desserts. The service here is always top-notch too. Even when they’re busy (and they always are — which tells you something!), the staff is friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Lindley Park is packed with great dining spots — from Sticks and Stones Clay Over Pizza (best in GSO) and Emma Key’s Burgers to Freeman’s Grub and Pub, Fish Bones, Scrambled, and Hop’s Burger Bar. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by this neighborhood favorite. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s well worth a visit! If you are a High Point peep, it’s very reminiscent of Emerywood Fine Foods.

An adorable converted gas station, with a nice spacious patio, small deck, and indoor seating. Nick, our sever was absolutely fantastic, a rare experience dining out today. The food was fresh, tasty, and brought out promptly. We enjoyed our visit.
T H — Google review
I had a great experience at Lindley Park Filling Station! The food was delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I tried the Summerfield burger, which features 100% grass-fed beef from Summerfield Farms, and it did not disappoint—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The laid-back atmosphere made it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu!

Nice little place. Unpretentious. Comfy. Recommend. Good sandwiches / wraps. Nice selection of alcohol which I would really have enjoyed but I had a long drive ahead of me. It seemed VERY popular, I had to park in the empty lot of another business. Fast and very pleasant service. My server did forget to bring a soda I requested and forgot to check back with us, we had to wave her down. Overall nice place.
Kim O — Google review
Great portions, both my son and I left stuffed. Server was nice and attentive and the food came out quick fresh and hot. Honestly the only reason for 4 stars for atmosphere is due to we were there in the middle of the day and not a lot was going on, but overall pleasant and no complaints
Christopher G — Google review
Menu has a ton of great options so it was hard to choose. We went with the fried green tomato sandwich and Ridgeway. They were both delicious. Also have a diverse cocktail menu. We went with their vanilla drink on special and the Garden Party. Would come back again!
Sweet D — Google review
This was my first time going here for lunch on a Saturday. We arrived and had to wait 20-25 minutes. My family and I still decided to look at other places in the area while waiting but committed to stay with our reservation and glad we did! We sat outside on the patio, which had fans and there was ample outdoor space with umbrellas to shield from the beaming sun. The music was great! The service was even better as our server was attentive and enjoyable to speak with. I ordered the Madison Avenue with fries after receiving the suggestion from a frequent patron and it was delicious. The Lavender Lemon Drop is not something I usually order as I don’t like sweet cocktails but I’m sure others would enjoy. The presentation was pretty though. My family all ordered burgers and thought it was great. Of course not number one for them in the area but it was top 5 for sure. I wish there was more parking but perhaps there’s more parking in the vicinity so you can walk. Also, the restrooms could’ve been a bit cleaner but not the worse. Overall, good food and chill vibes so I would recommend.

Jake's Pub & Billiards is a popular spot in Greensboro, NC, known for its wide selection of tap beers, delicious wings and burgers, and lively atmosphere. The pub offers pool tables, dart boards, and TVs for entertainment. With an extensive beer menu and open bar area, it's a great place to relax with friends. Outdoor seating with heating lamps is also available. While it can get busy at times, the friendly and knowledgeable staff ensure a pleasant experience.
Absolutely loveeee going to Jake's! If you want to try something new I recommend a Scooby Snack (AS A DRINK). Youll get a nice buzz and then go play some games and mingle with others.
Lyiah H — Google review
Great place to have some food, drinks, pool and sports! The food is typically hot and fresh and hasn't let me done in my experiences going there. I typically order wings and mozzarella cheese sticks. My only complaint everything I'm there are a couple of the regular servers act as though you're troubling them when ordering food or drinks (especially if you expect them to check back on you) versus being inviting and welcoming for betterment of the business they work for. A couple of these servers should be put out to graze at IHOP or Waffle house with their infectious attitude!

Jake’s Pub & Billiards – A Solid Spot for Wings and Pool Jake’s Pub & Billiards is a pretty solid place if you’re looking for good wings, good drinks, and a fun night out. I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5. The wings? They were good—nothing mind-blowing, but definitely solid. About a 4 out of 5 in my book. They hit the spot, especially when you're hanging out with friends and just looking for something tasty. The drinks were also good, no complaints there. Now, the real highlight? The billiards. I had a blast. The tables are nice, and it's just a great spot to kick back, shoot some pool, and have a good time. Honestly, probably the best billiards in Greensboro if you ask me. The atmosphere is chill, and it’s the kind of place you can lose track of time in. Overall, if you're looking for a laid-back spot with good food and fun vibes, Jake's is worth checking out.
Luther K — Google review
Jakes is a shadow of what it once was. About mid way through the pandemic, everything tanked. They cut ~half of the wing sauces, specifically all of the spicy ones. They never brought back beer dinners (it was a excellent food/beer pairing prefix dinner ) and only brought back weekly pint nights (free glass when ordering the brewery's pint) to semi-monthly. There were prolly 3 years I would come weekly for the wings and glass. The food quality now is just bad. My last order (3/15/25) the wings were barely cooked with feathers still on the wings (see pics). It's just sad. Jakes used to be the best wing spot in town. And it's still a blast playing pool here. Just the food and special events suck. The staff is still incredible. These failures are definitely not on them, it seems like its the owners. Thankfully, the last time they had my favorite super hot wing sauce (Francisco), one of the bartenders told me that was their last batch. But he brought out the recipe for me to take a picture of it :) Maybe one day it'll regain its glory. The community and staff there rock. If it does, I'll update this review again.
Scott Y — Google review
I've frequented Jake's since 2021 and the experiences keep me coming back. Sometimes it can get quite busy, and with that, service/cleanliness can be a challenge, but that is to be expected. They have a good food/drink selection and I am very satisfied with the food quality. It's a great environment to catch up with friends!
Eric F — Google review
Jake is a pretty good sports bar. They have pool tables and ping pong. The food was pretty solid. Inside and outside seating. Dogs welcome out side. Big selection of draft beer and bottle/can options, too.
Doug B — Google review
Always a great place to eat and catch up with old friends. I had the Carolina burger and it holds its own among others I've ate. Service was top notch and friendly. Plenty of pool tables if that's you thing. My thing is great food and this is the place to find it.
Chris L — Google review
Great pub and billiard! Food is excellent quality, especially for a pub/bar! :D extensive beer menu I love that 🍻 Jakes is pretty large and has an open bar area… also, outdoor seating with some heating lamps. Their workers are nice and knowledgeable. Sometimes if it’s busy, you might have to wait outside for about 10 minutes as they I guess stagger people in slowly and check IDs. ** parking is around back //FYI…Monday’s is possiably half-price beer I was told …and they usually have something going on daily. If it’s busy, you might have to put your name on the list for a pool table.

The Westerwood Tavern is a great neighborhood dive bar. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the bartenders are friendly and personable. When they're not out of something, they'll usually have a good beer selection. Plus, dogs are welcome inside with their human companions so long as they're leashed.
Awesome friendly local dive bar. Karaoke on Tuesdays and Friday nights. Trivia on Wednesday nights. Bartenders are fantastic. Drinks are inexpensive and tasty. The DJ is wonderful and helpful. Dog friendly. Great place to meet locals.
Richard C — Google review
Our friend took us here for karaoke on Friday night. Around 9 ish, it was chill and not as crowded so it was fun to get the night going. Then more folks showed up and it really started the night! A lot of fun people around dancing and enjoying the vibes. I also appreciated that it’s an extremely queer friendly space. It was a great night!
Rosie H — Google review
Rolled the dice that the reviews were correct for Tuesday Karaoke being available and they were! We got there at shift change. Karaoke was 9:00 - 12:00 Drink specials were a domestic beer and well shot combo, Narragansett and some cannabis based seltzer. Karaoke DJ had a book to browse for song availability and a sign up sheet. He kept a good pace of people moving up to sing. VERY locals/neighborhood crowd. People and staff were friendly enough.
Shan T — Google review
Excellent service, bartenders were lovely. Went for Tuesday karaoke night and was wonderful. DJ for karaoke was well prepared and kept the energy flowing. Neighborhood crowd was very friendly to us as newbies and welcomed us to come back.

It’s a Greensboro tradition… great local hangout. It’s an easy place to be.
Meredith B — Google review
This is a great neighborhood dive bar! Has a ton of character and the people who come often know each other. Service is always good. My one suggestion would be to not serve draft beer in those plastic cups. It gives it a weird aftertaste.
Alex H — Google review
Nice oldschool Bar, located in the historical district of Greensboro. A place were lots of locals going to sit outside and have a beer just a game or share lap or two. Lots of seasonal craft beers on tap and great service.
Bobbe W — Google review
This is a really great neighborhood dive bar. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the bartenders are friendly and personable. When I was here on 1/10/2022, they were unfortunately out of a few things, but that was due to legitimate supply chain issues that are beyond their control. Just order a beer, you'll be fine. Also, dogs are very welcome to hang out inside the bar with their humans, as long as they're leashed.

Nestled in the heart of College Hill, College Hill Sundries is a hidden gem that has stood the test of time, becoming a cherished spot for locals and students alike. This cozy dive bar exudes character with its rich history and welcoming ambiance. Patrons can enjoy an array of affordable drinks, including unique cocktails and classic beers while soaking in the lively atmosphere filled with laughter and light chatter.
This bar has been in business forever because my friends and I used to party here a lot in the early 1990s while we were students at Greensboro College and it was so much fun. I'm gay and my friends and I loved it here but it was never a gay bar just gay friendly. Enjoy yourselves because this is a cool place for drinking and since cannibus isn't legal in NC yet I guess u'll still have to do that outdoors. Lol

Fun, dive bar atmosphere, great bartender while I was there too.

Typical college bar. Really noisy and hard to sit somewhere. But the drinks aren’t bad and the bartenders are sweet!

LOVED IT, as a homebody who went there the vibes were immaculate. Sang 2 song on the karaoke thing and loved it, would recommend.
Zymire S — Google review
Local dive. Cheap beer and friendly service. Mostly college students and younger millennials.
Tyler A — Google review
Locals Liberal Dive bar with a pool table near the college. Nothing notable about the atmosphere other than the flooring needs replacing. Fair to Good price drinks and food choices.
Alex C — Google review
Watched a generational crashout happen here, 10/10.
Jakob D — Google review
Great dive bar! All the patrons as well as the staff are great people. The bartenders work hard to make sure everyone is served promptly and responsibly. Karaoke night is always very entertaining. Everyone gets into it and cheers each other on. Remember it is a little "hole in the wall" dive bar so the bathrooms aren't going to get a 10 out of 10 rating but they are in much better shape than you would expect. Good music, good people, great drink (especially if you're a craft beer enthusiast), and a fun atmosphere.

Hamburger restaurant
Hops Burger Bar is a casual eatery known for its locally sourced ingredients and craft beer selection. The menu features hand-pressed, certified Angus beef burgers, as well as options like vegetarian patties, turkey burgers, grilled chicken, and bison burgers. Signature choices include the Hops Classic with traditional toppings and the Asian Invasion with unique flavors. In addition to their gourmet burgers, the restaurant offers sides such as sweet potato fries, zucchini-carrot chips, and homemade onion rings.
The food was excellent. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a great burger. It's very filling and worth the price! Cooked to order.
Amy G — Google review
The food was delicious! The burger was juicy and full of flavor. Can't ask for much more out of a burger joint. Service was pretty quick. If it weren't for the server spilling some beer on me I would have given the service 5 stars too. Overall exceptional experience, delicious food and we didn't have to wait long at all.
Marcia T — Google review
We come often and enjoy our time! A solid place for a burgers and beers… and the wings sauces especially the blue cheese is awesome too!! Great fries choices! It feels like they could make it a bit better tables and could improve that as a more comfortable experience and the outdoor area is ok…lacks the atmosphere… unclean old plants and dirty curtains and tables aren’t best for the vibe. Service is great but they seem rushed and unhappy… maybe they need another runner on staff or something… parking sucks but that’s usually for an urban area.
Erica B — Google review
HOPS! - Been visiting for many years now. The Spicy Goat & Diablo Burgers dominate our choices. The wings are always hitting the spot and crispy. Haven't partaken in their immense craft beer menu - but I can pass on the recommendations of my co-workers and friends. Sometimes there's a wait - well worth it.
M C — Google review
Hops Burger Bar was an excellent experience all around. The ambiance was really comfortable and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. We started with the fried crab cake balls, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and rich in flavor. HIGHLY recommend ordering those. The cinnamon syrup collins was a pleasant surprise—refreshing, balanced, and a bit unique. For the main course, the French Onion burger was simply amazing, packed with flavor and cooked exactly right. Overall, Hops Burger Bar delivered on all fronts: atmosphere, service, and food. Definitely worth coming back to.

This review contains opinions of 5 people! We stopped by to fill our stomachs on our way from Washington DC to Atlanta and we realized we made a great choice! We all ordered different burgers and oh my gosh they all looked amazing I chose the gluten free bun because of my gluten allergy and it was the softest gluten free burger bun I've ever had, even though it was crowded (and we understand why it was crowded because it's so good) the service was very fast and the employees were incredibly sweet and friendly people, we loved this place!
Jasmine A — Google review
This was a nice bar/restaurant. We stopped in for lunch and I got the Hop Classic Burger with sweet potato fries and Creme Brulee Cheesecake to go. They also have a great beer selection as well.
Shawn K — Google review
Try this combo: turkey burger, fried egg, pineapple, jalapeño bacon & candied jalapeño relish! Best burger of my life. Most turkey burgers are sad little pucks eaten to hit a protein goal, but they have somehow mastered the turkey burger with a flavorful crust worthy of a steak. So impressed! Also must try the sweet potato fries with marshmallow sauce, onion rings, and green tomatoes! Food is so fresh, and great serving sizes! They also have a veggie plate for an appetizer that was also so fresh! So many options if you are trying to put together a healthy meal, great macros, and massive flavor!

Green Valley Grill is a top-rated restaurant in the Greensboro metro area, offering classic European fare and an award-winning wine list. The restaurant provides an elegant setting with a courtyard and separate lounge where guests can enjoy afternoon high tea. Known for its Mediterranean cuisines, Green Valley Grill serves mouthwatering dishes such as calamari and truffled fries. Additionally, the restaurant hosts cooking classes, jazz events, and more.
Highly recommend dining at GVG. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our meal. The ambiance was calm and inviting. We were able to have a conversation without it feeling like we're yelling across the table at one another which seems rare these days. The music was pleasant classical music. The server, Morgan, was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. All fresh. We ordered the Truffle Fries starter which, beware, is a generous portion. My husband ordered the GVG Reuben which was the best Reuben we've tasted in a while. I ordered the Herb Shrimp and Spring Vegetable Penne. I don't usually like asparagus but it was perfectly prepared and added a nice texture to the pasta dish. Memorable experience.
Deanna W — Google review
Green Valley Grill is a true gem in Greensboro and one of my favorite go-to spots for a consistently exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance elevated yet relaxed, with beautiful European-inspired decor. I always start with the potato leek soup it’s rich, velvety, and perfectly seasoned every time. It’s the kind of dish that feels like comfort and quality in one bite. From there, the seasonal entrées and wood-fired specialties never disappoint. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully sourced. The service is always warm and professional, and whether I’m stopping in for a casual lunch or dinner with friends, it always feels special. The connection to the O.Henry Hotel adds to the charm making it ideal for both locals and guests visiting the area. Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious food, refined ambiance, and the kind of place that becomes a favorite after just one visit.

This was my second time coming here. The food is excellent and come in hearty portions. The tapas plate was very generous in size. The salmon perfectly cooked. Beautiful decor and professional staff. Highly recommend.

My first visit to GVG and to start with the server Edgar, he was extremely nice! I ordered a coke and the Mediterranean Tapas. The shrimp and humus was delicious. For my entree, I went with salmon and my man had the trout. Everything was delicious! I will definitely return and recommend if you’re in the Greensboro NC area..
T B — Google review
Nice outdoor atmosphere, great wait staff, very good food! Ask for table by the fountain. Though it was outside in front of the O. Henry Hotel on a nice August afternoon, the covered patio area was quiet. The fountain noise and soft music cover the on going surroundings noises. The food was exceptional!

We had an amazing experience at Green Valley Grill in Greensboro. Since we’re new to the area, we didn’t know if a reservation was required, but the staff was very kind and seated us right away. We ordered the spiced salmon and Parmesan-crusted chicken — both were delicious. For dessert, the banana cheesecake was excellent, and the white chocolate cappuccino and cinnamon hazelnut cappuccino were both fantastic. Our waitress, (please forgive me I don’t recall her name), gave wonderful recommendations and provided amazing service. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I partner arrived quite early in Greensboro North Carolina and to my delight found the Green valley grill had a reservation for me. The Green valley grill located in the O'Henry hotel was an absolute find! The food was fantastic The service was on point and the Martinis were absolutely delicious Thank you again for such a lovely time on our first trip to Greensboro North Carolina

This was a great experience. They offered top notch service, and the food was flawless. We ordered a sampler and split an entrée and they brought it out pre-split with a side on each plate. Everything was great and it was inexpensive enough to go back regularly. However, reservations are recommended, possibly required.

Incredible brunch experience at Print Works Bistro! The atmosphere is stunning bright, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. It feels upscale yet totally comfortable, perfect for a relaxing meal with friends or a special occasion. Brunch is served daily and every dish we tried was top-tier. You can tell everything is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Service was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. This is easily one of the best brunch spots in Greensboro. I’ll definitely be back and recommending it to everyone I know!

As you walk too the front door of the Hotel, you're greated and welcomed into a beautiful view of the hotel. You then creep slowly down a set of spiral stairs, into a sitting area, follow a glass path, and wind up at a beautiful restaurant! The staff greets you and seats, and an amazing time happens. The French inspired dishes hit all the notes, though we did have 1 hiccup, and sent back the risotto, as it was not creamy, but a little mushy, but they replaced the meal with another with 0 fuss. Everything went exceptionally well, and the staff made it even better with their attention to detail. The French inspired meals hit the right melodies and notes of buttery, fatty, French cooking techniques, the wine pairings were great, steaks to temp, abd accompaniments all sang quietly!

This place is always excellent. The food and service are fantastic. Honestly, it’s a pretty good value as well. Is it cheap? No. But still an excellent value for what you get. I had the grilled filet Mignon. It was outstanding. We celebrated a birthday on this trip. The kept the cake in the cooler for us and sliced it and brought it to the table. We’ll go back for sure. Also, don’t sleep on their breakfast. The only reason I’m not giving atmosphere 5 stars is because we could hear someone in the kitchen screaming a few times during the meal.

This lovely Bistro is inside Proximity Hotel. It is decorated in 1940's fashion inside. Great service. We started with beignets (not the ones I'm use too but delicious with the chocolate sauce and honey). I had the quiche Lorraine, thick and delicious. Others in my party had eggs Benedict and a hash with eggs, they loved them. Highly recommend.

I really loved the restaurant. It’s a beautiful place and the service was exceptional. The prices are reasonable and not extreme compared to other spots. The only dishes we truly enjoyed were the pork and the Saturday special, but overall the food wasn’t anything amazing. I wouldn’t go back just for the food, but it’s definitely a lovely place to go if you want to make a good impression for a birthday or special celebration.

The restaurant was absolutely beautiful!! The roasted garlic that comes with the bread was delicious!!! We ordered the beef meatballs as our appetizer. They were good. My mom ordered the trout and I ordered the beef short ribs. I wish I went with my first mind and ordered the trout as well because the short ribs were underwhelming. The short ribs were tender but lacked flavor. The short rib meal came with sautéed spinach and a potato cake. The potato cake was so delicious but you only get a small one. My mom enjoyed her trout meal that came with quinoa and sautéed kale. We did not order dessert since we were planning to go to an ice cream shop not far from the restaurant. Our waitress was not very attentive. We had to ask for her which did not leave a great impression. Overall, I would not return.

Very pretty place! The service was extremely slow but I’m pretty sure it’s because of our particular server. He wasn’t attentive and he would go missing randomly. I had to track down another server so we could get our check. The food was ok but was quite salty. We got the porkchop and the scallop risotto. The cocktails we ordered had to be sent back, one of them tasted like NyQuil. The desert was the best part with a delicious chocolate sauce snd ice cream.

Print Works Bistro – Total Disappointment I’ve been coming here for years with friends and clients since buying my seasonal home in Greensboro and always enjoyed it, but this visit was a disappointment. I sat at the bar, asked for a dessert menu after half my meal, and the bartender never came back to take my order. After waiting about 20 minutes, I told her to just bring the check. The to-go box she gave me was cheap and completely unsuitable for my meal. When I told the person in charge, she only said, “I’m sorry,” without any concern. Sadly, not the service or attention to detail I expected from a restaurant I once considered to have such high standards.

Nestled in the charming Lindley Park neighborhood of Greensboro, Scrambled Southern Diner is a popular breakfast and lunch spot known for its diverse menu and inviting outdoor seating. The restaurant offers a wide array of hearty American dishes, including six variations of Benedicts, flavorful gravies, and memorable scrambles and omelets served in skillets. Embracing local flavors, the menu features ingredients sourced from area farmers and North Carolina producers.
Service was great. It was a line but they move you in and out without you feeling rushed. All of our items were fresh and deciduous. The catfish tasted fresh. Nice season. Would for sure recommend. #yumcity

This spot was a cute spot to try. It was definitely busy when we went but as much as I wanted to love the place, at the end of the day it was just ok. I had the Rosemary Ham skillet, cheese grits and Gluten free French toast. I will say the French toast was delicious. I would definitely recommend that. It’s not often gluten free French toast is an option and the bread they chose was very good. The cheese grits were on the salty side and the skillet was good but I guess I was expecting more flavor and it just fell a little flat. The service was excellent and it was a cute spot.

Wait time was long, but staff members were nice. Parking is challenging. I ordered the French toast, eggs, chicken and grits. The grits were really good but a little too thick. The fried chicken was dry, bland, lacked flavor and was cold. The French toast was salty, which was very confusing. Why would French toast be salty? The eggs were good and cheesy. I wanted pancakes but their grill was down and they were not selling pancakes which was very disappointing since that was the main reason I went. Since hearing such good things about this place, my experience was below expectations.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. There was a variety of foods on the menu. I had the sausage gravy biscuits and my guest ate an omelette. I make gravy biscuits at home and eat an occasional order from McDonald's, so that is what I had to compare them to. The sausage gravy biscuits were filling but dry. I like more gravy than what I was given at the restaurant, but they were served with a generous amount of crumbled sausage in the gravy. My guest enjoyed the omelette they ordered and commented on how delicious and hot the coffee was. Parking at this restaurant was a bit of a challenge. The parking lot was full so we had to park down the street. The room was a little too cold so I wore my jacket. Other guests were wearing long sleeves and jackets too. The chairs are small, metal, and uncomfortable. I prefer padded seats. This restaurant is a local favorite and was well attended during our time there. My guest and I saw meals brought out to other guests that looked delicious, so if I returned then I'd have a better idea of what to eat. The prices were more than what we pay for a similar meal at other local diners, but we would suggest you give this place a try if you're up for an adventure.

The food was good it could have been a little better. Waffle seem to have a crispy outside and inside but not much to the inside. Waitress asked my son more if he was satisfied with his food of needed anything instead of both of us. Maybe I will give it one more try. First time ever trying it.

Amazing food, outstanding service, incredible vibe. Taylor was our server and he was wonderfully attentive to us and took care of everything we needed. Music was always good, all around just a wonderful place to be in. Will definitely come back soon.

I'm a professional truck driver, and I was in town for one day. This restaurant was highly recommended by the reviews I've read and decided to give it a shot. I will tell you, the food was delicious and the service was great. Brittany was my bartender/server at the bar countertop. A few things I acknowledge when I'm in a restaurant. Recognition, acknowledgment, friendly staff, fast service, and good food. This place hit all five things for me. I'll be coming back whenever I'm in the area. Highly recommended.

In Greensboro there are many places to have breakfast or brunch but this place has so many different items to choose from, you have to visit multiple times to sample everything. The only 2 negative items that I can say about here is the parking is atrocious, so you either have to street park, if you're lucky find a spot in their 10 car lot. The other downside is that they will not let you sit down until your whole party is there, even if you are meeting someone you have to watch everyone get sat before you and you hope that it doesn't fill up by then. After perusing the menu I opted to go with the shrimp and grits because it's a classic brunch dish. I would say of you choose here for breakfast either get here right when they open or come later for brunch. Overall it was a great breakfast place that I will dine in again.

Old Town Draught House offers a club-like atmosphere with an extensive selection of draft beers and a menu featuring sandwiches, pizzas, and other pub classics. The interior is dominated by a long bar and high tables, creating a classic pub feel. Customers have praised the friendly service from the bartenders and servers, as well as the quality of the food which exceeds typical sports bar fare.
We stopped in after a campus walk about to cool off and have a snack. This is a straight up pub. Loved the draft selection. The place has a long bar and high tables. We ordered the hot pretzels and fries and had sodas and literally chilled. The bar tender was very nice and always checking in while waiting on everyone and making the place look great. We will be back for some ramen and a draft sometime.

First time trying the Old Town Draught House. Set up inside is mostly bar area but stretches around the room. A few high-top tables inside, too. There's not much outside seating. Both the severs were very welcoming and working hard. Cooks were putting food out fast, as it was lunchtime. The food was pretty good. They have a decent amount of draft beer, bottle beer, and wine available.

I’ve been to this place several times and always enjoyed the food—it’s consistently good. But this last visit really changed my impression. A staff member, apparently on the owner’s behalf , told me that if I’m not going to tip, I should just stick to takeout. That caught me completely off guard, especially since it’s bar service only—you have to go up to the bar to order, get your own drinks, etc. There are no servers coming to your table. I had no idea tipping was even expected in that setup. Tipping, in my opinion, should reflect the level of service. I’ve never had an issue before, but that comment did throw me off.

Shocked at how good the food was. Bartenders could t be bothered to walk to you, but were helpful o ce you walked up to the bar. No worries on that, it’s different but fine. The food though…. Very very good eats at this spot. Ranch is super expensive btw.

Went today and the waitress was very rude. I ordered wings crispy so did my coworker ( if I can stick my finger through the skin it’s not crispy). She didn’t come to refill our drinks ! You shouldnt argue or fuss with the customer about how they ordered they wings! Also she tried to smart and funny when I spoke to the manager about the situation. On top of me goin back to the college and a worker in Starbucks asking if I eaten in the at old town and stated yes and I told her about my experience and showed her my wings ( because I couldn’t eat them cause they wasn’t done enough) and her reply is “ that is not crispy “ but then goes to say they have good food but the waitress with glasses is very rude!!! Well well guess who my waitress was today the same person!! I shouldn’t have to go home and recook my wings point blank and I paid the tab!!!!!

This brewery offers a great variety of beers and excellent customer service. They offer a full bar as well as seating in both indoor and outdoor areas. The brewery is wheelchair accessible, making it easy for visitors to enjoy their time there.
What a fun and relaxing brewery right next to downtown GSO. Friendly staff and a large selection of craft brews. For those not inclined to drink beer, they do have ciders, wine and a few cocktails. Great indoor section with a large open feel to it. The patio and turf area outside are perfect spots to chill on a sunny day or pleasant evening. The large garage style doors throughout connect it all together perfectly. You can bring your own food or order from the food trucks that are available all week. Add in weekly events, trivia nights, live music, pet and kid friendly, and you have a super fun place to enjoy with friends, family and pets.

This place has such a great vibe. It is family friendly and we bring kids all the time. Nobody seems to mind. We love that there is plenty of space inside and outside. We have been there when there are food trucks and we can get something tasty to go with our brews. Also we have enjoyed live music. We are newer to the area and we want to check out some of the weekly event nights. Also that cheddar popcorn is the best 😊

We were visiting friends in town and they brought us here for a cold one on a hot Sunday afternoon. First impressions were positive as it was a bright, clean, contemporary craft brew bar. It wasn't very crowded so service was fast. They had a fair selection of beer. They do not do beer flights which was disappointing but they do have a smaller 5 ounce available. Had a good experience until a group of 10 people came in with 5 large dogs and totally changed the nice vibe of the place. I love dogs but you can't expect dogs to behave for long periods indoors with other dogs and strangers around. If you are not a dog lover I guess you got to move to the outdoor seating to enjoy your conversation and beer.

Local neighborhood brewery serving up unique beers on tap. Dog friendly inside and out, so lots of locals visit. We tried one of their sour ales & it was pretty good. Having garage roll up doors was nice for the indoor/outdoor feel. They don't serve food, but they do have a space where food trucks pull up outside.
Tori W — Google review
Even when you are indoors, in the summer they roll up the doors and you feel like your outside. Great space, super tasting beers and the beat selection in town - thank you “Uncle Mike”. He stays busy in the production area keeping fresh batches coming to serve thirsty customers. The outdoor seating - front and side is great and the sunflowers were amazing. This is a single story building - fully wheel chair accessible. Bathrooms handicap accessible too.

Located in downtown Greensboro, Boxcar Bar + Arcade is the ultimate destination for a fun-filled date night. Since 2016, this lively spot has been offering over 70 arcade games, a full bar with 24 craft American drafts, and a pizza shop all under one roof. The spacious outdoor patio provides ample seating and hosts live performances regularly. Additionally, the venue supports the LGBTQIA2S+ community through various initiatives and events.
This was our first time here but we look forward to going back. My husband, myself and our 19 year old had a great time playing games. It was nice to be able to sit outside to take a break from the noise of the games. We had dinner plans but you can eat there as well. Glad we found Boxcar online when we were looking for something to do.

A very fun arcade! Filled with games of all kinds - something for everyone. Every game was up and running (I've been to arcades with machines that are perpetually offline, so I appreciated that wasn't the case here.) We got drinks and pizza as well. The decor was fun and the atmosphere was lively.

What a hidden gem this arcade turned out to be! All of the games work and there is not a single game that goes over #4 tokens. They have great food, a bar, and loads of free events! The bar even does "mock"tails for those of us that don't want alcohol. The pinball selection is wonderful! This is a must stop location for everyone looking for a good time and YES, this place is kid friendly until a certain time at night).

Great place for a date night or to chill with friends. Tons of arcade games, strong drinks and clean. The food selection was small....mostly pizza, pretzels, and salad. I would love to see a burger on the menu. It's right in the heart of downtown Greensboro. Definitely recommend!

Wifey and I were looking for something fun and random to do and this place delivered. They had a ton of amazing arcade games. Great atmosphere. Long list of drink selections. Also located super close to a bunch of other great food spots and drink spots. Easy parking located close with a parking meter but if your hanging out for a bit the one time daily fee is convenient and affordable. Would highly recommend them. Oh also the photo op spots were our favorite thing 😁

Just a great place to visit. Pinball and games all in great working order. Machines run on tokens and it is easier to bring cash for tokens. Pinball machines are in very good mechanical condition and flippers are very responsive. The staff was great and very friendly. Parking is a paid lot but roomy and plenty of spaces. Larger pickup trucks can fit. A great experience

Let me start out by saying I LOVE this place. I always have a great time, I’ve been for Halloween, new years, and st Patrick’s day— and each event is better than the last. The bartenders are friendly and work their asses off to serve the crowds of people, I’m not knocking that. But this Halloween, we had a problem with the way the bar in the event space was being run. Again, I’ve been through the service industry and around hoards of drunk people just wanting their drink. So I get the stress of it all. But the problem was that this bartender in the event space was taking cards to pay for drinks, charging whatever, and adding whatever tip he wanted. No receipt or nothing, and we only realized this because the people I was with got transaction notifications on their phone. Look, I would have tipped. I always do, and I even commented to someone about how the tip jars were empty and this guy deserved more for being the only one back there. But after realizing he was adding his own tips, I guess it’s safe to say he didn’t need it.
Rachel ( — Google review
Rudest front desk lady ever. First of all how are you letting kids in without id’s. Second, I understand that you may not allow outside food or drinks but the rudeness. I’m sorry but you just lost a group of 40 customers because of a rude individual trying to serve people. It’s okay we will go to Bourbon Bowl where employees understand that the way you receive good reviews and customers is based on how you treat them. And btw forcing a woman that was drunk to chug a drink can put her in the hospital.

Great place to see a show. I've seen my fair share of club shows. This place ranks up with some of the best. Not huge but ample size. Good sound. Great layout with easy access to bar [good selection of craft beers]. Pleasant security guys. One dude at door is the size of a Mountain. Not a big fan of tables stuck in middle of floor but that would be my ownly minor complaint. Support live music! Or stay at home and play Fortnite. Totally your call.

Took my son to a Concert(Spider gang tour) it was really cool!! I only gave it 3 stars because it’s a VERY small place and it’s in a sketchy area. The venue overall was clean, and the concert was pretty dope. Also just a heads up depending on the event you go to there, get there super early because the line gets long. They said doors open at 6pm and we didn’t get in until after 7pm. We waited outside for about 2 hours and it rained a bit 🤦🏽‍♀️ but overall chill vibes and cool show!!!

The elegant white-tablecloth setting makes it a popular choice for special occasions like anniversaries or birthdays, as well as intimate date nights. Families seeking an affordable yet refined dining experience will also find Undercurrent to be a perfect destination.
We really loved our first visit to Undercurrent. I say first because we'll definitely be back. The most obvious benefit is that it's a couple of blocks from the Tanger Performing Arts Center. That being said, we enjoyed every aspect of our dinner. The service was top notch. There was a variety of food options, and we really loved every bite. The tuna starter was delicious, and we had trout and salmon wish were both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!

The atmosphere is open and bright. Not great or attentive service. Has the butternut squash soup and beef and lentil soup. It was very good. The lobster and shrimp spring rolls were highly recommended but I didn’t care for them. The sauce was not authentic and the stuffing inside was too much filling and not much lobster or shrimp. We had the special of filet minion with crab and shrimp on top. It was delicious and tender. The arugula salad in the side was okay, the dressing was very tangy. Probably wouldn’t recommend or come back.

Let me say how when we walked in we got smiles so it was very nice. When we sat down at the table we probably waited 10 minutes before we got the first person to come and say anything. That was disappointing for sure but once we had the server came she was nice and accommodating. We were supposed to get bread at the beginning but probably 10 to 15 minutes later she came and said she was baking some and it will be out in a bit again waiting for something. Then the bread came out then another 20 minutes then out dinner came out so it was an easy 30 minutes for the food. The food was on point very good no complaints about that at all we all enjoyed it. Overall a good experience we would go again just not in a hurry too.

Many kudos to the mixologist- our cocktails were definitely a highlight of our experience. Service given by Savannah was excellent. We had the crab cake and the ribeye as the main courses, and both were well-seasoned. Really appreciated the casual, quiet atmosphere so that we could chat during our date night. Price for the food quality and quantity was actually lower than we expected. We would come back.

Food was very good , all that you would want from a good restaurant. The only issue was that is was very loud, the sound in the building travels very easy , so you can hear everything and nothing at the same time . That was my only issue having to talk over the other people . Great food. The Mocktails where very good.

I have visited Undercurrent a handful of times and it has always been fabulous! They change the menu a little seasonally. My absolute favorite at the moment is the skillet seared salmon. Liberty Oak is a high-end American restaurant located in a restored building dating back to 1883, offering an attached patio for outdoor dining. It is renowned for its exceptional cocktails and delectable food, making it an ideal choice for a romantic dinner. The restaurant takes pride in using only the finest quality ingredients, sourcing meats from local farms and fruits from nearby orchards.
Our first visit here and we were not disappointed. The Liberty Oak's staff was friendly and the food was very delicious. Our server, Laurel, was fantastic and attentive. My dish, ribeye steak (medium rare), was perfectly prepared and super tender. As a steak lover, this was among the best I've had.... and I've had plenty. The truffle fries and fried oysters were tasty and different, very good. Red Velvet cake and Stawberry shortcake desserts were very delicious. This spot is a hidden gem in downtown Greensboro and I highly recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed.

We were surprised at the decor. The bar area is nicer than the dining area. The food was subpar. I’ve had shrimp & grits from plenty of establishments and this is the first time I wasn’t given a spoon. The grilled asparagus was awful (our server took it off the bill). The best thing about our dinner was the Pepsi and the waitress.

The food was good. The service was great. I like the decor as well. I do think the food is a little overpriced. The fried oysters are so delicious! The shrimp and grits are scrumptious!!! I highly recommend. Steak risotto was good and the burger was too. Our server was awesome! She was very friendly. I took one star off because the burger and steak wasn't cooked as ordered but it was still delicious! I didn't like the crabdip pita. The drinks were good as well. I will return. I also don't like parking downtown but that's not their fault lol. Overall this is a great restaurant!

Mixed bag. The pile of trash in the street out front was a little shocking but it's downtown...Our waitress was fantastic, no complaints only compliments. The biggest negative was that the general feeling among our party was that the Liberty was just not that special anymore. Paper napkins and K&W level cutlery are not the hallmarks of a once great eating establishment. No bread service or dinner rolls just pita slices further added to our disappointment. The short ribs were great as was the salmon but I'm not sure how to classify the $35 Ribeye...other than to say that ownership can do better. People will pay for a great steak so don't cheap out. The bathrooms were really clean. I really want to go back so hey ownership guys step your game up.

I'm extremely disappointed, 60 dollars for 2 plates of this.. the vegetables are definitely frozen and bland.. salmon ok, but this is definitely not worth 60 bucks just salmon laid on top of frozen veggies.. and it was my first and probably last time going here. The owner responded that it was a 16.00 plate I can definitely show my receipt, I literally paid 57.00 for 2 plates of this

Incredible food with an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs and the atmosphere is amazing with a dining room that contains an original tin ceiling and an awesome bar with woodwork over 100 years old. The food ranges from fancy well seasoned short rib risotto, blackened salmon with succotash, shrimp and grits that is better than I had on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. There is a gorgeous outdoor patio with plenty of seating and they are even pet friendly with the outdoor area. They have a great wait staff and the best thing is they are owned by a local family and the owner is actually the chef working in the kitchen and completely hands-on.

First visit after a visit to the Civil Rights Museum in Elm Street. Great service and creative menu. 2 in my party and we ordered the Short Rib Grilled Cheese and I had the tomato soup and 1/2 turkey and havarti sandwich. Great food and excellent service. A pleasant spot in Downtown Greensboro, recommended!

This was a relatives favorite place and we found ourselves in Gbo and decided to hit it up in her honor. Just as good as I remembered. I had the shrimp and grits and truly one of best iterations of that dish I've ever had. One dining partner got the Dynamite shrimp appetizer and the other got the Sargent Pepper. Sandwich with pasta salad. We all enjoyed it. Sometimes the old favorites are a disappointment but not this place. Kind of like that old face sweatshirt that fits better and just makes you feel good. Our server was great and that dining room is just too cool. Great bar and a small but eclectic craft beer selection.

The bright and colorful Agni Indian Restaurant & Bar is a favorite spot forIndian cuisine enthusiasts in Greensboro. With full bar, lunch buffet, and drive-thru options, the restaurant offers plenty of options for diners. Delivery available within a 5-mile radius.
Fantastic and memorable family dinner this evening. Food was top notch, the staff were perfectly timed with assistance, just great. We did not request it, but they heard us mention our daughter’s birthday led to us celebrating there. They, without prompting, brought out a delicious carrot based dessert with a lot candle in it. Highly recommend this gem of an establishment.

If you’re a fan of mango lassi, this place nails it. The moment I took the first sip, I knew it was something special, perfectly creamy, rich in mango flavor and just the right balance of sweetness. It’s thick, refreshing and feels like a tropical hug in a glass. What I loved most was how fresh and natural it tasted, not overly sugary like some other places. It pairs beautifully with spicy food and stands strong on its own as a delicious treat. Hands down, one of the best mango lassis I’ve had. Highly recommend trying it, you won’t be disappointed!

I have always been a fan of Indian food. Agni here is amazing... I simply make it a point to get one of their lamb dishes every time I stop through here.... Which is several times every few months. The Holiday inn is walking distance, so it makes it either nice to come here for the dinner. The Quality of food and how good it tastes must be praised. The dishes are large, the meat is quality. I absolutely love their lamb dishes... From curry to korma to biryani - chef's kiss. I urge you to order cheese naan. It is one of the better ones I have ever tried anywhere. The atmosphere inside is very quiet. There is not a whole lot of traffic outside, so it is just relaxing to eat inside. I love their bar - good selection on wines. This is a gem

Absolutely amazing 😍 We had vegetable samosas, garlic and cheese naan, chicken and lamb tikki masala. Plenty of vegetarian options as well as a 3 course meal specifically for kids. Great service, not crowded, definitely worth going, especially with the family. Will be back again soon.

This restraunt is top tier. Best Indian food in NC by a huge margin. Personally I suggest their Lamb Pasanda at a medium heat with saffron rice and garlic naan. Every dish they serve is a melody of flavor among a riot of color.

This was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. I visited a few weekends ago with my dad and we were both impressed. The fried paneer appetizer was outstanding, and I’d come back just for this. I had a chicken kabob dish and my dad had lamb—both were a flavorful and sizable portion. I also had a mango lassi which was one of the best I’ve tried to date. The one thing I would recommend to this restaurant is to do some much-needed cleaning. The food was so good we could overlook it but others may not be as forgiving.

I’m in from out of town and stopped by this place, immediately I get the notion it is good because of the amount of cars outside and people inside. I walk in and order to go, the waiter was extremely friendly and even the owner/manager came out and worked with me to get the best deal. My experience with them was fantastic! They are clearly good people! Even the food was out of this world! I even mentioned to my friends who are locals and they all say Agni is the place to go around here.

We are from out of town and our local friends suggested that we come and eat at this establishment because at some place that they like to frequent. I was actually very excited for us to try something new. Upon entering the building there were three ladies behind the counter who initially greeted us but we just stood there very awkwardly for like 3 minutes until I finally said hey this is our first time here and we don't know your protocol after we had already been greeted. It was like they were waiting on the other one of them to cave in and seat is. So a lady takes us to completely empty section and just slaps our menus on the table and says you'll sit here. We wanted a booth as I explained to the lady when she asked how many in our party but I didn't want to engage with her anymore. The attitude was loud. My waitress was really nice and took our order. Our food came out in stages and from different people. My salad was mostly stems and brown. The waitress said she would get another one and I refused because the first one should have been fresh. The waitress said the manager would come over but never did. I ordered the ribeye medium and it was cooked beautifully but a third of it was just fat. I asked if the mashed potatoes were made in house and I was told they were but they didn't look or taste like it. Hubby ordered shrimp and flounder and it was really good. My friend ordered ribs and she said they were good. The kid got a plain hamburger and fries and he ate the fries took one bite of a hamburger and abandoned it. We ordered the bucket alcohol drink and I like the way it tasted almost like grapefruit but I couldn't taste any alcohol in it. We tip in cash so I tipped our waitress in cash. I was disappointed because I was told a lot of positive stuff from my friends who live in Greensboro. Then a second family came in and they seated this family right behind us and this entire empty section and their toddler constantly got out of the booth and was pulling on the back of my chair. And I'm trying to figure if the whole section is empty why did you sit them 3 ft from me. It was a large party and we couldn't hear ourselves that our own table. I think what a few small adjustments this could have been an awesome experience. I wish the manager would have came over and spoken to me like I was told she would that way we could have resolved some issues because I asked to be moved when the issues with the pulling on my chair while I was trying to eat got on my nerves really bad. A little communication goes a long way. If I can't get you to come over and do your job then we can't get nothing resolved. I think the icing on the cake was when our drinks came out and the lady carrying them had filled them all down besides and we already had no napkins so I asked her for napkins for my table and she brought three napkins for the four of us to share. When I asked for more she told me she would be back and never showed up.

We always have a good time at kickback but the first time at this location. Philly cheesesteak eggrolls were BLAND AND CHEWY. Our server was attentive until we got our food, then we didn't see her.. Had to ask other servers for our missed items that were not delivered with our meal as requested.. Salad, steak sauce, appetizer plates. Not a real sense of teamwork at this location.. Asking for anything from a server other than ours seemed to be taboo! Several times when we asked for something, we got the "I'm not your server" look. If OUR server was more attentive and present, then we wouldn't have HAD to ask for anything. Overall our meal was delicious and of course we'll return!
Sonya K — Google review
Funny Clay was the team lead who came to explain why the plate had scrapes of tiny pieces of fish portions, he said we weight out 8ozs of fish, if we get a piece that is to big we break it smaller so it equals the 8ozs. I don't know about anyone else but I don't want anyone breaking the fish in eating into smaller pieces so the equal 8ozs. I asked why not leave the fish big and remove the smaller pieces so the food looks appetizing, he said he doesn't understand what I mean. 🙄😫 Super frustrating, I said I'm not eating that because it looked like fish scraps on a plate. He told me he can't take it back because nothing was wrong with it. 😳 after I told him I didn't want it. The waitress came over asking if he was able to handle the situation. Once I told her what he said she walked away and he came back laughing asking if I was going to eat the broken up fish. Once I replied no, he took the plate while laughing. I didn't find this humorous at all. Horrible team lead.

I went in today and ordered the steak and shrimp platter. The young lady informed me that if I didn’t want the potatoes as a side that I could substitute for something else. I said how about a side salad instead. She says no problem. I received my food but when I received my check, it had the salad separate for $1.80. I informed her that if I was substituting potatoes with a salad, how come it is separate on the ticket???? She offered to fix it but I was like nah, don’t even bother. This location has messed up my order on numerous occasions in the last year. I will start going to the other location. Hopefully, they are better.

I like this place for the food and service except for my last visit. I had a real space cadet server who had to keep coming back to make sure about what I had ordered. I will not let this get in my way of going back but I will refuse to sit in this person's section. The ribs were actually fall off the bone tender so I have no issue with the food at all. I really hate to give this person a terrible rating.

With over 100 beers on offer, this pub-style eatery is ideal for those looking to unwind while enjoying some classic grub. The decor exudes a charming western downtown vibe, making it an appealing place to hang out with friends or catch a game on TV.
Nice tavern atmosphere. The servers were quick and attentive. The food was really good. It seems that burgers and sandwiches are their specialty. I had Nashville hot chicken and it really had some kick to it. If you ask for lemon, lime, orange, or all three in your water, they will hook you up. I would love to eat here again.

I have never gotten food here and been disappointed. I appreciate the variety they have here. My friend and I have eaten here several times and it’s one of the only places you can get a veggie dog. I always get the Beyond burger and it’s absolutely delicious. I decided to order their Chicken tenders and chips and that was also good.
Christal — Google review
This place is always decently busy or what feels like always closed but whenever they are opened and not so busy get the time to stop and come by here to try it out because their food is really good. The atmosphere is very comfy and has a nice decore style choice, almost like western downtown style vibes. The waitresses are really nice and all pretty women with bubbly personalities living up to their jobs' fullest expectations. They are fast to get refills, clean up dirty plates and wipe down tables, check up on their tables, and get any needed extra items the customer may ask for. The food is so good, the burgers are so juicy and perfectly cooked to your liking with a slight crunchy rim around the patty, which makes you want to just down the burger right then and there. And the melted cheese is the perfect amount coating the burger patty, and it's so stretchy but not at all chewy it melts in ur mouth perfectly. They also give you the perfect amount of ur side choice with ur meal. I will definitely keep coming here in the future.

Nice little brewery. The beers were very good. The bartender was friendly and helpful. Service was good. Pet friendly. They allow outside food. Good beer and service with tons of room for groups to get together. Location is great with ample parking and options for other local places. UPDATE: New location review. Moved out of downtown. Smaller lounge area but gives Gibb's much more room to expand brewing capacity. Better for smaller groups, 4 to 5; I came with 15 people and took half the bar area!

Waited for Gibbs to open back up. Missed their most excellent ESB. Sampled a steam beer and decided to go with that. Very good beer. I thought I was sitting in tap room at Anchor Brewing in San Francisco , Fritz Maytag was pouring one fresh from the tap. Prettiest Belgian lace accumulating as I drank it.

This is a great place to sit back and relax and enjoy a beer. They allow you to bring outside food to enjoy while your drinking a beer, and it is pet family for well behaved pets. They have a good assortment of Beer everything from a nice pale to a dark delicious stout. And if you have that 1 friend who doesn't drink beer they offer a selection of wines.

This was legit the best place. The bar tenders are SO nice. The beer is SO good. Locked my keys in my car (solo lady) and everyone in the bar was super nice and helpful. The girls behind the bar we like "ok, her we go" and had ideas for how to get my keys out... even though my hubby got it taken care of long distance (though our insurance). Gibbs is the best for a good, fun time on ANY night of the week. Good beer and good times. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Place was clean and had a good atmosphere, but there weren't any drinks I could have since the selection was so small. The lighting and seating outside wasn't great either, and though they had board games most of them were standard "moms game cupboard" stuff like risk and apples to apples. So, not bad but not great. Staff was really nice though. Might be worth coming again.

New York Pizza is a family-owned pizzeria in Greensboro that serves pizza by the slice or pie, subs, pasta, salads, and desserts. The restaurant has been around for over 30 years and was previously known for its high sanitation grade. In recent years, however, the restaurant has been improved with new ownership which has led to higher ratings and better food.
The pizza is New York style. Delicious, quick, and easy. The owner is kind; he remembered me when I returned a few months later. My daughter is in college at UNCG, and all the college kids love going here because he is so nice to them.
Amy M — Google review
Ordered food from this establishment once but never again. Found long blonde hair strung through the inside of the pizza. What was more unfortunate was that I had found it after I had already bitten down. Went back to the restaurant with picture proof asking for a refund. The owner tried to blame the hair on us (both of us have black hair) even though there was very visibly a lady with long blonde hair working near the pizzas with hair sticking out her hair cap. Instead of a refund, he offered a free pizza the next time we came back. Why would I want another pizza from an establishment who served me a hair pizza? I would maybe have given it another chance had the owner even ENTERTAINED the idea that his employee with uncovered hair got hair in the pizza, but no. First and last time buying their pizza.

We have been going here for years - a favorite of my wife’s in college and now our family; my teen goes here when he’s at UNCG for music stuff and anytime we do family pizza in Greensboro, we come here. Its a true hole in the wall - outside doesn’t look all that great but the pizza is authentic - we spent some time in Italy and the owner is always glad to speak to us in Italian, super nice to the family and the service is great. 10/10 - if you want pizza in Greensboro, there’s nowhere else I would go.

I've been to New York Pizza many times over the years, as far back as the 70's. It is still an affordable hang, great pizza, full bar and a good vibe especially after 10pm when everything closes these days.

This is a true staple for the Greensboro college area. Open late every day and family-run, owned, and operated. Went to triva on Monday and had a blast. This place is a home for a diverse group of people but when you're there, you're family.

Really good made to order pizza! After you order, you can watch them make your pizza through the window. My friends had the veggie pizza, wings, and buffalo chicken pizza. I just had a sweet tea and a cannoli. The cannoli was super sweet (a little too sweet for me), which may have been because of the chocolate drizzle on top. I tried both pizzas and I was pleasantly surprised with the veggie pizza! It was really tasty. The buffalo pizza was just ok. Every employee we interacted with was super friendly and the owners made sure we had everything we needed when we got our food. They have a nice variety so if I’m ever in the area, I’d go to try some other things. Super nice people and good pizza close to UNCG!

They have the best Pizza! Ordering at the bar is kinda hectic but the guy is always nice. Highly recommend!

The person at the register was very rude came in to get a piece of pizza at 8 o’clock. The dude was practically kicking me out. The only reason I’m giving the food 2 stars is because it was edible before you die in here. I would like you to keep in mind that they have roaches on the floor I wish I was kidding. I wish I was saying that out of anger, but they genuinely had roaches on the floor. I had to step on it and kill it because my girlfriend was so freaked out. We stopped eating our pizza when we saw it and immediately left.

Great experience eating here this past weekend with my wife and good friend . First time patron ( but not last for sure) and from the min you walk into the building you are greeted with eclectic funishings and seating areas . We went with 3 appetizers the Stuffed mushrooms (9.5 out if 10) the lemon pepper wings ( 10 out of 10) and the potato skins ( solid 9 out of 10) in addition we tried the Margareta flight and we enjoyed them all. Rounding out I would be remiss if I didn't brag on the entire staff for being engaged and attentive.. Great first impressions, and we will be back 😀

First time coming here while visiting. The service was great! The appetizers we had were pretty good. We had the stuffed mushrooms and the breaded provolone. They were very good. I also ordered the beef ribs. They were a little tough and not seasoned well. But everything else was good. I ordered a strawberry margarita from the bar and it tasted like it was made with artificial syrup.I might come back again to see if a different dish is better.

We was told that the wait would be 30 to 45 minutes. Thankfully we were seated in less than 20 min. Our sever was nice anx attentive. Our appetizer didn't take long to come and was delicious. The main course took almost an hour. The mac and cheese tasted like Kraft( I am not saying that it was). The ribs tasted more baked than smoked. There was no smell of smoked meet when you entered the restaurant or the parking lot which is odd considering there is another BBQ restaurant next door. The Cajun shrimp was the best thing on my plate.

Let me start with WOW! What a great restaurant experience. The food is expertly prepared and very delicious. The interior of this place is so unique and interesting. There is even a few special table locations that can be asked for in advance with a reservation, like the elevator car table (pictured) for example. Our server Bryan (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was possibly the best server we have experienced in a long long time. He had tremendous attention to detail. He worked above and beyond to make our dinner memorable and pleasing. It seemed like no ask was crazy or too much. We asked for lemon for the water and he brought two plates of cut lemon wedges. I would definitely come here again.

Outdoor dining was extremely relaxing and easy with a toddler. KJ provided excellent service, he was so kind and helpful. We had the dip sampler (ricotta and kale pesto), the jefe and spinach salads, plus one of the more impressive kid meals I’ve ordered in my three years of parenting. Brewery salads can be hit or miss, and these exceeded our expectations. I recommend the lemon vinaigrette. After a long day at the zoo, the live music from Drew Foust was the perfect, low key blues that we needed. Highly recommend.

1618 West Seafood Grille is a top seafood restaurant known for its inventive dishes and extensive drink selection. Influenced by Asian, Latin American, and Southern flavors, the menu offers a variety of creative fish-based options. From wasabi-crusted ahi tuna to tempura sea scallop pops, the appetizers set the stage for main courses like pan-seared halibut or blackened grouper.
The environment is so relaxing. The color palette is very earthy. They pay attention to details like live plants, fresh cut flowers on the table and the art work on the walls. The menu is amazing. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I especially like that she left water and iced tea on the table so we could have what we needed, but still came by to fill the glasses. I thought the prices were reasonable for an upscale restaurant. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and will go back if I am back in Greensboro.

Great food, friendly staff and a cool vibe. We were stuck in a corner celebrating my husband's birthday, yet no one really asked if we were celebrating anything. Nevertheless, it was a great meal with fabulous cocktails and service.

So, we've been meaning to visit for quite a while. We finally made it. I was very tempted by some turf (beef tenderloin) on the menu, but I came for surf. We had a great appetizer - soft shell crab, i had the Chilean sea bass which did not disappoint! My husband had salmon with sweet potato ravioli. I will definitely return!
Julie W — Google review
This place has been on my list to try for a while and it didn't disappoint. Tried a couple cocktails that were both well done and started with the calamari appetizer. It was on the sweet side and overall enjoyable. The entrees on the other hand were excellent! I got the Roulade and my girlfriend got the Sea Bass. The fish in both was seasoned and cooked perfectly 🤌.
Michael F — Google review
My amazing lady took me here on my birthday because I wanted an amazing Sea Bass. The greeting and wait staff were very nice curtious and professional. Water bottle never got empty. We were checked on but not constantly bothered. Every dish that came out looked amazing. Not just for taste but also great picture worthy plate presentation. Yes I "plate hawk" lol I had my sea base which was cooked to perfection but under seasoned slightly. Almost was embarrassed to ask for salt. My lovely lady had the Mahi mahi and it also was cooked to perfection texturely and tasted like it looked. Had the Calamari appetizer as I am a junky for it. Again cooked perfectly not chewy or soggy at all and the bean sauce they put it on is something I would have never thought would pair with it but it did amazingly. Portions were of a very decent size. With praise comes critique. The atmosphere was okay at best there is no sound dampening inside of an industrial cement building painted white with maybe one painting on a wall. The music is playing but you can hear everything from everybody bouncing around the walls. Which can make a romantic time much less enjoyable. Which leads me to pricing. Pricing, typically when I gauge pricing it's not just on the food but everything from service to atmosphere. At this level of pricing I would expect a more intimate configuration of the tables/seating and possible white table service. 2 of us with 1 glass of wine each an appetizer and a entree each was a total $145 plus tip. Would I go back? Yes The food and presentation and service were that good to make up for the atmosphere issues. I just wouldn't go there for a romantic time next time.

We visited 1618 Seafood Grille in Greensboro for Father’s Day and had a genuinely pleasant experience. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our 9-month-old daughter for the night before Father’s Day. They offered to bring her mashed potatoes, brought her straws for water, and every hostess took a moment to play and interact with her. It made the night feel especially welcoming and warm. The food had a few surprises in the best way. The calamari appetizer was served over red beans, which caught me off guard at first. But the chipotle aioli tied the dish together nicely and helped bridge the boldness of the beans with the crispness of the calamari. I had the sea bass, which was fantastic. Cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the salmon, and I was especially impressed with the plating (picture attached.) It was served on Israeli couscous that closely resembled salmon roe. Whether that was intentional or not, it was a fun and clever visual detail that I appreciated. The drinks were also enjoyable. They were unique and well-made. My old fashioned was a touch on the sweet side for my preferences, but it was still solid. My only real critique was the Caesar salad. It lacked flavor and overall structure. It felt underwhelming compared to the rest of the menu. I would also suggest a slight update to the ambiance. While it was perfectly fine, a small refresh could help elevate the overall dining experience. Particularly in the back room as it did feel a bit sparse/minimalistic. Despite a few minor notes, the experience was clearly curated with care. The menu, although limited, felt purposeful and focused. Every dish had thought behind it and that effort showed throughout the meal. We would absolutely return. I will add that I am grateful that Greensboro has a restaurant that aspires to be a cut above what would, on paper, qualify as “excellent” for the area.

Went for a birthday celebration. Server was Sam and he was excellent. My wife needs to eat gluten-free and Sam was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to this issue. Even brought a special fruit and cheese tray in lieu of table breach for her. She had the filet with crab stuffing and a baked potato on the side. I started with the Burrata followed by the filt with grilled asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly and we left quite satisfied but not before a surprise box of chocolates for my birthday

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had a fantastic dinner at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse in Greensboro. The service was top-notch—our waiter Vee was attentive, professional, and made the whole experience feel effortless. The food? Absolutely excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and exactly what you’d expect from a high-end steakhouse. The pork belly appetizer was incredible—crispy on the outside, rich and savory inside. Everything we ordered was on point. It is definitely on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for. Between the quality of the food and the exceptional service, it was well worth it. And as a cool bonus—we spotted Dee Snider from Twisted Sister dining there that night! Just made the evening even more memorable.

I had a good dinner. Sat at the bar, offered bread and water. Went healthy and had a wedge salad that was good, too heavy on the dressing. Tasted fresh and I enjoyed it. I had 11 oz fillet, it was medium rare but I ordered it medium, no big deal but was not as requested. Service was ok for all the bartenders was still not very prompt. Too many seats at the bar, was good when I got there but felt crammed. Bar was dark, tvs were far away and small. Not the most exciting atmosphere and overhearing neighbor’s conversation could have been prevented if less chairs. I came for quality over quantity, not too feel like a sardine. Not overly impressed.
MATTHEW S — Google review
Their signature is steak, most of their sides are way above average. Somebody forgot to add salt to the mushrooms though, and I actually had an ant curling around the rim of my drink at the end of my meal....lol. for the price I wasn't as blown away as I have been in the past. Fleming's has always been one of the better restaurants in the area, though. Just not as top scale as I think they used to be.

Chris was our server for my friends 50th birthday. We were late for our reservation. Chris was able to make us feel welcomed, not rushed, but also was able to meet our time constraints effortlessly. So glad he was our server. The food was amazing. Ordered the shellfish tower for two. Even though certian items were slightly overcooked, we were able to overlook it. Seafood is delicate and it happens. We still ate every bite. I do wish it came with clarified butter. But still no complaints. Flemings is a great chain. We have gone to the one in Raleigh for years. Im so glad to know we have one less than 30 min away. Also the hostess stand was polite and professional. A big deal in a place like that. They even gave my friend a card for his birthday. The experience was one we will remember for years to come. And with a support staff like that, little technical flaws are easily overlooked. Thanks again Chris! All the best to you.
Leslie K — Google review
Flemings is a good steakhouse. I got the New York strip with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and a Caesar salad. Steak was cooked to perfection. Potatoes were amazing. Sprouts were a touch greasy but good flavor. There was a very small hair in the salad, but the waiter immediately swapped it out with a new one. Despite that, I had a great time and would come again.

Nestled in the heart of Greensboro, M'Coul's Public House is a charming Irish pub that offers a delightful blend of UK beers and hearty Irish-American cuisine. While many may boast about their shrimp and grits, M'Coul's takes the crown with its perfectly seasoned shrimp paired with creamy grits that evoke pure comfort.
One of the best fish and chips I’ve had. SUPER fresh, well prepared. A bit oily but still VERY good. Great coleslaw and fantastic fries. Great service, cool spot

Definitely try the spinach dip, it was delicious. We both got wraps & they were good. I do wish they had the same portion sizes but overall they were yummy. Macaroni was good, but previous review photos show it has changed. I would recommend this place if you’re nearby!

Went here after spending the day at the Greensboro Science Center and wanting to eat something different. Decided to go with Irish food and saw this restaurant nearby. Parked in the adjacent parking lot and went in. The host was very courteous and we were seated quick. The menu has a 50/50 variety of Irish food and also Southern Soul food. I was surprised and glad because everything on the menu sounded delicious. Went with a pint of Guinness and the BB Fried chicken with mac n cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy and subd the collared greens for brussel sprouts. The food was delicious and hot temperature-wise. It was the perfect amount, not too much or too little. Afterwards I ordered the deep fried oreos for dessert. They came out quick and were good too. Now I know where to come next time I'm in Greensboro. The prices were good also.

Food was amazing. Pretty eclectic menu with a big variety of choices. Service was a little impatient and standoff-ish. Overall a good experience but probably a place I would not go back to visit when I’m in town again.

Good Irish pub feel, bangers and mash were excellent, friendly service, and good apple cider on draft. I'd like to have seen an Irish cider such as magners on tap. But glad a decent basic apple NC cider was available, as opposed to/as well as the 'variations' everyone wants to offer now. Nice outside area to sit until the rain came! Apparently even Irish weather was on tap! Would definitely recommend this pub

If you're on the hunt for a delicious burger experience in Greensboro, look no further than Big Burger Spot. With two convenient locations, this gem is celebrated for its mouthwatering char-grilled burgers served on delightfully soft gluten-free buns. Not only do they cater to burger lovers of all ages with an affordable kids' menu, but they also have a unique dog menu that allows you to treat your furry friends too!
From outta town and googled burgers and got recommended for this place! Drove into the parking lot and saw that it was next to a gas station / convince store. Walking inside and observed that there was a full menu to order from. Overall for the price of the burger, the amount of burger was good. I got a “almost” size and felt that was a very good size burger! Also added some “house fried pig squiggles” (pork rinds) and they are such a great crunchy treat! Overall impressed with the food and the service… the inside was small for seating but they had a lovely outdoor seating! There was a painted memorial dog wall and that was absolutely beautifully done!

Better come hungry though because they aren't playing.. this is a true BIG burger. Thank you for living up to the name and delivering me my new favorite burger spot in the area. ❤️

I was craving a burger so my friend and I decided to order ahead and pick it up. We both built our own burger and I appreciate them having options to do so. I got a turkey burger and it was perfect. The burger and fries were hot and ready when we got there. The lady greeted us immediately and handed us our food. I’ve never been disappointed getting a burger at either of their locations. Online prices are through DoorDash and they are different from in store.

First time here. My black and blue bison burger was great. Big, juicy, a tasty amount of blue cheese. I had the truffle parmesan fries. Also tasty. We sat outside with our dog and we were given a bowl for water for him. The service was fast and friendly. There were several tables inside, some of which are high tops. Because of the dog, we ate in the picnic table area which is surrounded on all 4 sides by paintings of pets, mostly dogs. Same good music playing inside and out. Not too loud. The only negative was there is not a trashcan in the outdoor area and the paper towel dispenser in the ladies room did not work. Probably just needs a new battery.

I always order the classic burger with all toppings and BBS sauce. It’s so tasty, and the onion rings are also great. The prices are very reasonable, and pick-up is super fast. Staff members are kind as well!

Came in for lunch today. I always drove by this place and never stop to give it a try. I’m glad I did today, the burger was delicious. The service was great! They have hot dogs and chicken sandwich as well. I opt for the Carolina burger and Cajun fries. The price is like any other burger spots in town. Give it shot you won’t leave disappointed

We have ate at this location a dozen times without a problem, ever! This past Sunday after going to Top Golf we came here for lunch with our extended family. We ordered 3 cowgirl BLTs, 3 burgers, couple of hot dogs. The BLTs came with no avocado and when we asked about it we were told you were out. This is significant as it is what makes this what it is and we should have been told at the time we ordered or at least when we picked the food at the counter, not surprised at the table. Milk shake machine was broke as well. We like this business and love the Battleground one ever more because of where we live. Please do better communicating and setting expectations. No apologies from anyone and I paid for food we did not get!

We were enjoying drinks at the brewery next door recently, and needing some food. I looked up their menu online and called in an order. The hostess who took my order was friendly, and when I picked it up 15 minutes later the staff was very friendly. I got a Buffalo chicken wrap with a side of Mac and cheese, and they were both great. Though if I'm going to be honest, the max and cheese stole the show! There's definitely a reason it's listed on their menu as a most ordered item! Again, the food was good, suitable portions and pricing decent. Their menu has a lot to offer from what I saw and I'd definitely visit this spot or get food to go again! On my way back I noticed they have a great covered outdoor patio, which is even more enticing with the cooler weather coming!

I was in Greensboro and wanted to try this Mac’s location. I usually go to the Concord restaurant. Everything was great. The food is delicious and they have a wide selection. My daughter had a birthday dinner there and she had over 30 ppl attend! It was nice out so we took the party outside!! Our waitresses were amazing (can’t remember their names) their drinks and food came out super fast. She kept our cups filled and kept us happy. The food was sooooo good. I got the smash burger and okra and it was amazing. I tried a wing, and I tried a rib. Both were amazing as well. Thank you guys so much for taking care of such a huge party! We’re coming back

I walked in and the hostess was taken care of 2 large groups. While seating them another waitress came in and made sure I was seated quickly too. From there we met our waitress Annalise, she was the best. Quick, great sense of humor and made sure the whole table was well taken care of. The food portions were over whelming and the prices made sense. We even have left overs to make a home made Mac n cheese with the brisket and pulled pork we have packed up. We will definitely be returning… also, get the stew, AMAZING!!

Modern European restaurant
Italian restaurant
GIA is a contemporary Italian-style tapas restaurant and craft cocktail bar in Greensboro. It's known for its open kitchen, refined menu, and balcony seating. The restaurant offers brunch, lunch, shareables, and dinner options to cater to various cravings and group sizes. While it's considered one of the pricier dining spots in Greensboro, it's highly recommended for those seeking a quality meal experience.
We had a reservation for two. We showed up as three. Normally, that’s the kind of math that gets you the side-eye, or at best, a long wait near a hostess stand straining under pressure. But not at Gia. With the dining room full and no tables in sight, we resigned ourselves to a cozy corner at the bar, content to sip and snack. Then, in a move of pure hospitality serendipity, a staff member approached and offered us a freshly vacated six-top table—yes, for just the three of us. A small, almost cinematic gesture, but a big reminder that kindness still lives in service. Gia’s menu doesn’t overreach. It reads more like a confident short story collection than a maximalist novel—each item purposeful, none filler. We shared the fried artichokes, lightly crisped and generous enough to warrant some fork duels. I ordered the soup of the day and frites, expecting a simple pairing. What arrived was a carrot and pear soup so deeply flavorful and balanced, it could hold court in any Manhattan bistro. The frites? Golden, hot, and not oversold. My father, a lox connoisseur in his own right, gave the smoked salmon a quiet nod of approval (which is saying something). My mother opted for a burrata with seasonal vegetables—vibrant, creamy, and refreshing. And while the food stood on its own, our waitress elevated the afternoon. She was patient, attentive, and handled my parents’ relentless stream of corny jokes with good humor and grace, a far harder feat than plate timing. Gia isn’t trying to be a destination restaurant. That’s what makes it one. It’s sharp without being sharp-edged, warm without the wool. And it turns out, Greensboro has room for a place that can pivot with grace, serve with heart, and surprise you with soup.

If you look at my other reviews you will see that this rating is highly unusual from me. I celebrated a birthday with a friend here and my experience across the board was fantastic. The only issue I had was fixed with salt. Hats off to Tiarra. Her service was friendly, attentive and informed. I hope our table’s tip reflected our appreciation adequately. When I have another opportunity I will return, bring others and request her as a server. This is everything a high end restaurant should be.

We made a poor choice dining here. We were going to leave when the steak was raw. The manager asked to stay when we were leaving. Staying was mistake 2. He tried but then charged us for bread while we waited hungrily for the food. For that we leave a review. We wasted $100 on a crap meal only to go to Ruby Tuesday to eat. Avoid this place and don’t have a horrible experience like we did.

Just had brunch here today and I couldn’t have had a better time! I had the shrimp and grits and it was everything I was expecting and more! Unfortunately I didn’t remember to take a picture of it until it was basically all gone lol The blood orange martini was sooo good and I finished my meal with the seasonal cheesecake, which was a key lime style- delicious!! I absolutely love burgers, nothing usually keeps me away from one, but I had the worst burger of my life here. It tasted so off and funky that I could only get one bite. The crab cake bites were just as bad, overloaded with cayenne pepper and cumin, giving them an overwhelming, almost overly Indian flavor that didn’t work at all. On the bright side, the chicken salad wrap was pretty good, and the mozzarella sticks were a solid hit. I would not go back to this place again.

The mussels were aaawesooome! The service was great, nice relaxed ambiance, you can tell this is a place with a lot of regulars. Sorry for the pic but we dug into it right away since they were so good! You won’t be disappointed!!

Me and a friend had a visit on 4/26/25. We sat outside because I love the scenery and it’s such a cool vibe! We wanted drinks but they didn’t have options for special requests. We ended up getting a drink menu which we had to walk in and get ourselves. Got our drinks and sat for maybe 30-45 mins without the big waitress in the green pants even acknowledging us. A couple and their kid came, she immediately brought them out menus, another group came same action, and another man came and sat, she had the same prompt service for them! I think we were invisible to her?? Anywho, ELOISA!!! 5stars!!! Absolutely AMAZING, super friendly, and attentive. My first time ever trying mussels, and they were amazing! Drinks were great as well! I’m just not sure what was up with the big waitress in the green pants that day?

Best burger in town. Been coming here since I moved to Greensboro and have never been disappointed. Salads are good. The turkey havarti sandwich, too. Sit on the patio, order a glass of wine and the shrimp appetizer, dip a warm baguette into the butter/wine sauce and people watch. It’s a nice, casual vibe.

First, our server was excellent, prompt, and friendly. So 5 stars to them. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was lackluster at best. BE WARNED: the prices at the restaurant do not reflect the prices listed on their website, let alone the specials "advertised." For example the mussels, are listed online at around $14 but the current price is $18. We ordered mussels, which were rubbery and did not taste fresh, as well as a gyro sandwich and fries, both of which came out at room temperature and tasted like something from a middle school cafeteria. The wine and beer options are overpriced and limited. I've eaten here before years ago and remember the overall experience being much better. It sure seems like the owner is cutting corners on quality and food portions while jacking up prices. And obviously they have not taken responsibility for updating their website (apparently they are locked out of it - brilliant.) I will never eat hear again and suggest to those who are reading this that you look elsewhere.

We sat on the patio for brunch, and the food was awesome, service was top notch and the croissants to die for! A hidden gem in downtown for sure. Got Eggs Benedict, Rudy's and French "Toast".

One of my favs in greensboro. The outdoor dining experience is fantastic. We went in the evening in gorgeous spring weather. The fountain was running and it was just spectacular. We had mussels and fries, lamb gyro and a beef Au Jus. I would highly recommend!
Meredith P — Google review
A group of four of us went to Europa Bar & Cafe yesterday for dinner. We went for the $15 mussels with a free beer or glass of wine on Tuesdays as advertised on their website. When we arrived, we thought it was closed because the outdoor fountain was off and there was a pile of debris sitting outside the door. But they were open so we went ahead. THE PRICES ON THE MENU ARE FAR HIGHER THAN WHAT'S LISTED ONLINE. The mussels were $18 and they did not come with a complimentary drink. I ordered a $15 Greek salad for the table, thinking that with the price, it would be a satisfactory appetizer for all 4 of us. It was only enough for one person. Two people in our party ordered the chicken Gyros and fries, and they came out cold. The mussels were 5/10. The service was excellent (go Steve!). At the end of our meal, we asked Steve why the prices on the website did not match the prices we were charged and since Steve was new, he asked the bartender. Apparently, the web designer had a falling out with the owners and will not adjust the site or take it down. So know that the WEBSITE IS OUTDATED. Our bill amounted to $150 for the 4 of us and it was mediocre at beset. This was one of the most expensive, poor dining experiences I've had in Greensboro.

We are return patrons of this wonderful restaurant. The evening atmosphere on the lovely patio is simply magical. The mussels never disappoint. Chicken, pesto, tomato sandwich was moist & loaded with flavor! Service from Dennis was top-notch. We will be back again and again!

CharBar7 is a local favorite for its delicious food and lively atmosphere. The menu has healthy and non-healthy options, and the beer and wine selection is extensive. The waitstaff is attentive but never intrusive, and the live music often keeps patrons entertained.
THE most delicious food 🤤 I literally couldn't complain about ANYTHING!!! THE BEST BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP I HAVE EVER HAD PERIOD!! THE BLUE CHEESE FOR THE WEDGE SALAD WITH ABSOLUTELY SCRUMPTIOUS ,FULL OF BIG CHUNKS OF BLUE CHEESE FOR THE BLUE CHEESE LOVERS. THE BEER BATTERED MUSHROOMS WERE OKAY. I LIKE THEM A LITTLE BIT CRISPIER BUT THE TASTE WAS SPOT ON. THE FISH TACOS -ALL I HEARD WAS SMACKING LIPS WHICH MEANS IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!! The shell reminded me of a chalupa but not as thick. The food came out quickly and our server Nikki was attentive and pleasant. I can't wait to come back to try other things that are on the menu. Everything looks so good!.

The food and service were excellent. Best Prime Rib French Dip I've had in a long time. Beef melted in my mouth. My wife ordered the Sesame Tuna Bowl 🥣 which was excellent also. Very nice decor.

Nice big open space with bar and seating for large parties. Food was fresh, warm and flavorful but heavy on salt. I recommend the quesadilla as an appetizer. Delicious!! Waitress was very nice and checked in on us. We were a party of 10 and our food and drinks arrived together. Food was affordable ($12-25) but drinks were pricy $10+. But mocktails are $3.25 and margaritas were $6 on Friday. They have live music two days a week. I wish I experienced it! Portions were a little small. Like I had 2 shrimp tacos and the side was like 10 waffle fries. Some meals come with two sides so maybe a salad would fill you up. Bathroom was small and flooding. They had my favorite hand soap- Meyers. Overall I enjoyed being there and I’d go back.

Super tasty - normally my appetite is p small, so I was only expecting to eat maybe half my burger and take the rest home - even though it was v good -but damn if I didn't polish the whole thing off

At first, I was a little worried about how the service was going to be. The energy was a little awkward walking in. It was late so I figured maybe some of the staff had a long day & I thought no more of it. Our waitress was super sweet! My mother’s food was the last & late to come out but we were too busy entertaining each other to really notice. The manager came over, apologized, & told my Mom that it was on the house which was super unexpected. Everyone’s food was great. We will be back. Thank you.

Food is good. Hosts can do better to be polite and not wear their inner thoughts/ frustrations & uncomfortableness on their faces. Environment experience is a 1 star because the guests were very rude as well to my family and I. We did not stay we left and the manager did not even bother to stop us to ask why. Time: 5:30pm Date: 10/8/25. Will stick to ordering to go like I have been doing before.

The burgers are very good here and worth the price. The wait staff were nice. But the atmosphere and cleanliness is off. Table was greasy and so were the Salt/Pepper and Condiment containers. Menus were dirty. Other customers who were having a birthday were allowed to be loud and dominate the space. Unfortunately we were seated next to them and tollerated loud children and adults who at times were letting their kids run around screaming and yelling. Not OK. This is a bar restuarant. NOT a kiddy restaurant or fast food joint. We dropped $75 on burgers and expected it to feel like a more upscale experience. It didnt. No effort was made by staff to ask the parents to control their kiddos. When I spoke with the manager the next morning. I was told that MY family was supposed to resolve the issue by asking to be moved during our dinner to another table. No attempt to bring us back in for better treatment. So, not an upscale place but on a par with Dennys and Olive Garen. We sadly wont be back.

We had higher expectations for this place… I thought it was below apple bees quality as far as the food goes. The seats were dirty and there was dust on all the windows/blinds. It just felt dirty. I ordered the honey chicken dish. It was just okay. I don’t think I would come back. It’s worth mentioning the table next to us ordered shrimp and it came frozen in the middle… yikes.

The prime rib is delicious! The service is fantastic! Nikki is the best and super friendly. The bins the serve at tree table are sweet and warm. Free pre slice with your meal on Wednesdays. All you can eat chicken fingers on Tuesdays. $4.00 margaritas on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A nice casual family dining experience. We ordered salmon & steak, prime rib, a sift drink and a large beer the total was about $44.00 and it was so with it!!!!

1. Had a 20 minutes wait time, while there were plenty of available tables. I went to the restroom & it was nasty. Looks like it hadn't been cleaned all day or night. 2. The waitress didn't know the menu. She had to ask another waiter for information (not new on the job). 3. The sweet Tea was disgusting & had be replaced three times in a row before it was corrected. My husband is a sweet Tea junkie & he was highly disappointed. 4. I really love chicken tenders so I ordered that as an appetizer for my husband & I. The waitress didn't know the # of tenders that came in the order & asked someone else. They told her the wrong amount. So when she brought the order out it came with less then the amount that she told us & she had to make up the difference. 5. I swear we got the worst waitress in the restaurant because she didn't ask if we wanted a dipping sauce or we wanted them plain. So I had to wait until she came pass us again to ask for sauce. Then it took 5 minutes to bring the sauce because she kept forgetting to bring it to us. 6. My husband ordered the Half-Rack of Baby Back Ribs with the sides of Collard Greens and Loaded Baked Potato (+ $0.99) because of needing sour cream...which wasn't brought out with his food. Had to ask for it twice. 7. I ordered the 8 oz. Slow Roasted Prime Ribs (well done) with the sides of Bacon Smashed Potatoes and Broccoli. My food was cold whenever I received it! So I sent it back & I had nothing to eat because the waitress never refilled the dinner rolls basket. I got my plate back & my Prime Rib was burnt! I just cut that part off because my husband was almost finished eating his dinner. 8. We were choking by this point because she never came back to refill our Sweet Tea! 9. We asked for to go boxes for my plate & chicken tenders. While packing up my food the waitress decides to bring us a refill on our Sweet Tea, the dinner rolls & the check 🤔 😂😂🤣🤣! 10. The bill total was $51.38. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYBODY!!!!!!

Only reason this is a 4 star is because I have been here multiple times and occasionally find some "less than cordial" staff working. However I will say tonight was not the case and my dinner was great. Ordered Steak and Salmon dinner and added a side of garlic grilled shrimp. Food was exactly as expected and delicious. We had the brownie lover brownie which was great! I will say food has been great from here. I recommend the chicken alfredo family dinner, its great and you get a good bang for your buck.

Soooo good. All the food was amazing !!! The staff was super friendly. We really enjoyed it! Wish we could give 10 stars !! We all liked what we got ribs, chicken tenders, burger, potatoes and fries. The kids meal is a lot of fun with the cotton candy fizz!

Tired & tasteless about sums up or our experience today this. Seats raggedy, carpets dirty and bathrooms disgusting. It was before the dinner rush. They need some basic maintenance upkeep and help. Food fast, utterly tasteless and servings shrinking in size recently. Employees worked but not exactly sociable or excited/friendly.

Located in the heart of Greensboro on 1820 Spring Garden Street, Freeman's Grub & Pub is a neighborhood bar and kitchen offering a mix of North American classics and international flavors. The menu features dishes like chicken piccata and hushpuppies with homemade honey butter. In addition to food, the pub offers specialty drinks such as the Ms. Frizzle and Not Your Mama's Lemonade, along with cocktails, wines, and beers.
Great little hole in the wall with delicious food and amazing cocktails. I ordered the Mike’s hot honey chicken without a bun and the asparagus as the side and all of it was delicious! My daughter ordered the same on the sandwich with the waffle fries, which were perfectly salted and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the large Marge and their bourbon selection is decent.

I arrived here at 7:52pm on a Saturday night to meet a friend for dinner and drinks. I arrived first. A waiter had to clean off a dirty table. It is a small space but they do have outdoor seating. I ordered a water and app wings at 7:57pm and it came at 8:07pm. The wings were crispy and delicious. I dipped it in the sauce it came with, which I also enjoyed. After a few minutes, we ordered drinks. I got the b-cubed and my friend got a margarita. It took an average amount of time to arrive. The drink was different for me, but I enjoyed it. We ordered food at 8:25pm. I got the brisket entree with regular fries and my friend for the chopped brisket sandwich with waffle fries. The food came 10 minutes later, which was quick. I, personally, didn’t like the brisket sauce but the brisket itself was good. I dipped it in the bbq sauce I got with my fries. I was expecting more than 2 pieces of brisket, however. My fries were hot and fresh. The table was small and they brought my brisket and fries on a separate plate when they could’ve combined it. While trying to make room, a piece of brisket I cut fell on the floor. I was so disappointed because it was the end piece that was charred. The staff were attentive and friendly. We had a male and female staff that attended to us. It was a pleasurable experience and I would return. They have a small parking lot and some street parking available too.

First time ever coming here, and this hole-in-the-wall is legit! Decently stocked liquor, only select brews, but honestly the close quarters environment must Def makes up for it. It's cozy, comfortable, decent prices considering the amazing food quality. I'm for it.

The menu has great options! I had the autumn salad and also got fries with jalapeño salt and cumin. So delicious. Others also got buffalo chicken sandwich and the grilled chicken BLT. Everyone loved their food. My husband had the homemade lemonade. Yum! We will be back!

Everything was amazing, the food, the service, I could not get enough of the crispy sandwich that my sister got it was amazing, the chicken was crispy the honey added on top of it was chefs kiss. The crispy Brussels sprouts were crispy I enjoyed it a lot along with the poppers. My brisket sandwich was delicious as well, the tiramisu cocktail was very delicious, I loved that they had the drink and the ice separately, I think it was pretty neat so I could pour it when I was ready to drink it. Really great atmosphere to go hang out with friends or family 10 out of 10 recommend!

My first time dining here. I ordered the Mike’s hot honey sandwich and it was delicious!! The side of deep-fried corn on the cob was just so-so (not bad at all, just a bit underwhelming - my friend got fries with the blackberry honey mustard and I think I was just jealous I didn’t get that instead lol), but I’m excited to go back and try some of the other offerings on the menu! Cute atmosphere and good service. This place is a must-try!! :)

An elite restaurant in Greensboro, Freeman’s never disappoints. Food is always stellar, especially the seasonal options (I’m lobbying for the chicken piccata to be a year-round item). Cocktails and service are also top-notch every time I visit. This is the kind of local business that deserves to succeed. Go often.

If you are in the Greensboro area, you absolutely need to check out 913 Whiskey Bar! This restaurant is known for its amazing food and extensive whiskey selection. The patio is a great place to eat, and the staff is always friendly.
This is a BBQ joint worth visiting. My wife and I went for her birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. We started off with their Mac and Cheese appetizer and it came with three different toppings, breaded buffalo chicken, pulled pork, and burnt ends. All very delicious in their own ways. For main course she got the salmon and I for ribs. The salmon was a little sweet for my taste but still very good. The ribs were great. The only reason I gave it four stars for atmosphere was because it was a little warm in the restaurant but definitely not unbearable. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend.

Let me just say that the staff were great. We had a great time celebrating my husband’s birthday. I planned a surprise birthday dinner and Daniel was instrumental in making sure everything was In place once we arrived. The waitress was very attentive and handled a large party with such a fantastic and professional attitude. The food came out very timely and tasty. The appetizers were very good. All of our guests had great things to say about the entire experience.

Based on the description on OpenTable, I expected this place to be a bit more upscale than it turned out. Seating is very squishy. It's great if you like community dining/talking to strangers. The guy at the table next to us incited a whole inquiry and subsequent conversation about the char on my husband's steak and the perfect medium rare inside. My husband absolutely loved his food, and he said that his drink (a fancy old fashioned - I believe it was the "Southern Gentleman") was perfect. He ordered another. My black bean burger was pretty good. I always appreciate when vegetarian patties are made in house. The jalapeno ranch I ordered to go with my fries was very runny. It wasn't a dip, it was a liquid. The fried okra was my favorite food item we ordered. It was delicious. My husband's brussel sprouts were also cooked to perfection. Being a bar, the music was very loud and, I'm not an expert, but I think it would be classified as "butt rock." It definitely wouldn't be my first choice for relaxed dining, but as a loud and cramped bar, it has a fun atmosphere and tasty drink and food options. Much better food and drink than you'd expect at a lot of dive bars.

D: Service is top notch! Southern hospitality. Drinks amazing 👏🏼🤩😋 Food....ehhh theres alot to desire there. Lets start with the southern hospitality! This location values their customers and get that people go out to have an experience. So service is top notch! They give you top service from the moment you enter the door. If you enjoy whiskey this is the spot. From allocated to never heard of they probably have it. The list of whiskey seems to be endless. Plus you can create your own flight...what??? OMG in love ❤️😍 Unfortunately, the food was eh. We started with the sausage collard cheese dip. It was more like cheese soup. I searched the entire cute little cast iron to find 2 pieces of sausage. TWO. Even after it cooled it was soupy and literally fell off the crispy cheesy naan. I love cheese btw...this was a gut-bubbling bowl of melted cheese with again two pieces of sausage. Very disappointed. Hubs ordered chicken and waffles and fries. Why are French fries sprinkles with sugar?! Umm ok but no. Why is the chicken and the breading unseasoned? I did like that it was lightly breaded...but please season it.The waffle though was sweet and cinnamon-vanilla😋 Overall come for the drinks go to another place for food.

Great brunch spot!! I decided on the fish and grits (not on the menu) but you can ask for it!! This was possibly the best meal I had all year! Crispy fried catfish with a savory, creamy and very tasty sauce served over hot grits! Because I’m greedy lol I added a homemade biscuit and it was the perfect way to complement the meal. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and we even got a chance to meet the chef! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a decent meal!!

Super yummy! Nice atmosphere, got seats where we could see the sushi chefs working, which was cool. When we initially arrived it was relatively empty, but it filled up shortly after. Things are spaced out enough that it doesn't feel crowded or gets distacringly noisy. Very well priced for sushi, and it was all very good. Had great variety of rolls, ranging from standard options, to unique options with things like mango and kiwi. The servers were also attentive, and they were able to make us a mock tail, which I appreciated! Overall good place, I'd love to come back!

The food was DELICIOUS AND FRESH! I enjoyed the cali bowl with shrimp and coconut ginger sauce. It was 10/10. Unfortunately they received a 3 star because of the lack of service. My table was one of the only ones in the restaurant but after placing our order, a soccer team came in and the waiters catered only to them. I’m not typically one to complain as I know places are short staffed etc but I was highly disappointed at how they handled balancing a large party with other paying customers.

I really enjoyed dining at this restaurant. The food was delicious. Service was great. I have been here years ago and was dissatisfied but the recent two times have been wonderful!

My daughter, her boyfriend, and I decided to come here. It is hard to rate this place fairly because: 1. They were short staffed 2. It was St. Patrick's Day 3. It was the first round of March Madness 4. It was trivia night Getting seated was not an issue. Beautiful night, great patio and nice ambiance inside and out. It took almost 15 minutes for anyone to come by our table. After another long wait, we gave our drink order. Almost 30 minutes after arriving, we got our drinks but still had to order our meals. Food finally arrived almost 45 - 50 minutes after having been seated. On a Friday or Saturday night with a full capacity crowd this would be expected. Even with items 1 - 4, the restaurant was about half full because we had arrived around 8pm. Food was decent but my lemon pepper wings had too much dry rub and our server seemed to forget to check on us. Pretzels and food looks amazing in other photos so I would give them the benefit of coming on an off night for the staff. Just rating this visit and our experience.

They had pretty good selection of beers but their menu was faded off and I couldn’t read most of the beer names. The waiter did not bother to bring another one. Food was decent, not the best. They have cool patio place though. The only thing which was good was their chicken satay.
Madhumitha R — Google review
This was my first time to visit world of beer. We went there as a group for a luncheon. The bad part was the ceiling is too high to have decent conversations and we only had one server for over 20 people. The good part was the food because I ordered a black and blue Burger and it was absolutely outstanding. They brought me regular fries but I had ordered sweet potato fries they brought me out an order of sweet potato fries seasoned with sea salt and pepper and I swear they were so good. If I had not been so full I would have ordered another order of those sweet potato fries. And a sweet tea was really good too but just not enough of it. All the beverages were served in small Mason type jars. But these folks were very hospitable and took care of us the best they could. If you like my review and think it was helpful please give me a thumbs up.

Grill
A local sports bar in Greensboro with a menu that includes wings, many draft beers, and events like karaoke. The bar is open 12pm-2am seven days a week, and has 27 TVs to watch your favorite sports games.
For a bar setting the food was phenomenal. Bartender was very pleasant and attentive. We were in the area & I saw it was good for lunch. Clean environment

New to the area and was in the need of wings! I got the peach cocktail they had! Very sweet but very good! The wings tasted very fresh and sauce was amazing! I had the spicy garlic parm and my husband had the Cajun! The staff was super friendly! Overall would go back for more!

Comfortable spot for a beer and a quick bite. Obviously has a local crowd but staff are super friendly with new faces. Good draft selection and full bar. Had the rancher which was a chefs salad with grilled chicken. Kitchen gets props for realizing they forgot the egg before my server or I did and gave her some egg to add to the salad. Recognizing it and reacting gets big credit in my book. Especially when it seemed busy with lots of orders!

The food was good, I can't say anything bad about the food other than the burger could have been evenly seasoned a little more. Other than that, I have no complaints about the food. The customer service was extremely poor. The staff didn't greet me when I walked in or when I sat to the bar... they kept walking by. Eventually, one young lady asked if I was ordering to go or eat in? She asked what I wanted to drink. I requested water. She told the other waitress to give me water as she walked away to take someone else their food. The other waitress never brought the water or even acknowledged me sitting there. Eventually, a different waitress from the other two asked again what I wanted to drink. Again, I said water. She brought water and took my order. I received my food, and there were NO more interactions from any of the wait staff until I was given my bill. It was a VERY uncomfortable feeling. I will not even state the obvious that may have warranted such treatment, but needless to say, it was my first and last time patronizing this establishment..

Wasn't the best Ruben I've ever had, but it was good and the side salad was a good size with all great stuff in it! The corn ribs was pretty good but for the price I would have thought we would have gotten more. Burgers are very flavorful and delicious will definitely go back for that and want to try a few other things I saw on the menu.

They hosted a rehearsal dinner for me and cooked up an off menu BBQ dinner and trimmings with dessert. It was so good and reasonably priced. The manager, Ali, and all the staff were attentive and provided exceptional service. This is a great restaurant to grab a bite. Will definitely be eating there again

We had such a great time here! The drinks were great and the food was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without us ever having to ask. Everything came out quickly, so we never felt like we were waiting around. We sat outside, which was perfect—the atmosphere was lively with music playing, and they even had games to enjoy while we hung out. It’s the perfect spot for good vibes, great food, and fun. Definitely recommend!

First time I went I was alone and just got a couple beers at the bar , this last time I went I took my family & I’ll say the waitress was great. Not a place for the kids but it is kids friendly. More of a date night type of feel. Will definitely be making a third visit with just my wife. Highly recommend. Burger was so good I forgot to take a picture.

Machete is a trendy restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina, known for its creative American cuisine and craft cocktails. Owned by Lydia Greene and Kevin Cottrell, this upscale New American eatery has quickly become a top dining spot in the area. The industrial-chic decor with exposed brick walls and colorful murals sets the stage for an inviting atmosphere.
Wow. We were taken aback by how wonderful this restaurant is. We kept telling each other, “this is like an Asheville or NYC restaurant in GSO!” The staff is so knowledgeable, and each dish came to us with an explanation, which I love! They were also so warm, kind, and congenial. Each dish we tried was delicious and well-plated, and the craft cocktails were so impressive. We tried: Duck Wings 9/10 Crab Salad 10/10 Scallop Toast 10000/10 Charred Cabbage 8/10 Tiramisu 1.5 million/10 I also have to give a shout out to the cook line. You can see them as you eat, and they were hard-working & so friendly!!

I wish I could give Machete more than 5 stars. My husband and I had the most incredible meal here. Service was amazing, the staff were all phenomenal, our waitress was knowledgeable and spent time answering all of our questions. The food was out of this world and beat everything that we ate in Vegas a few weeks ago. The only thing I’m upset about is that I didn’t find Machete sooner! I’m already looking forward to going back and getting another plate full of that incredible crab fried rice.

Greensboro is incredibly fortunate to have Machete. If you're seeking a dining experience on par with a Michelin-starred restaurant in North Carolina, this is a must-visit. Once you've had dinner and drinks here, you'll find yourself returning with each seasonal menu change - and likely for their Supper Club and Dueling Sommeliers events as well. A special thank you to Art, the Director of Service, who consistently makes us feel welcome each time we visit.
Matt T — Google review
Ok so i believe the high rating is a based on a illusion. The atmosphere is good the staff very pleasant. The food portions are small which im ok with. The duck wings were a large portion though. The sea bass and a5 skewer was not good. There flavors are way over powered with the sauces and such. I have eaten all over and dont mind paying large amounts for my food but just because the amount is low and price is high for said amount does not constitute a high end taste. They tell you all this info on how its cooked and what's in the sauce, I only care if I plan to replicate the meal, which im definitely not. I dont regret visiting this location and if your like me and have to try every restaurant around definitely give it a stop. But for me If I want a good bit of steak im going to Kaw, if I want good seafood papdaux,

Machete was amazing. The presentation and quality of the food was outstanding. We had 7 plates and all were excellent. Menu changes, they say so hope to be back. While not inexpensive, I think it was worth it .

We ate here the day before our sleep token show. Food was incredible and full of flavor. We got so many things off of the menu. The mocktails were delicious. Highly recommend. Yes, the portions were small but purposeful. I didn't mind that at all. The quality of the food was worth it. Service was great.
Brooke B — Google review
Food is so interesting and delicious. Fun to share so you can try several dishes. Service superb and friendly. My kids think the atmosphere is cool -- a modern, lively vibe. I think it's too noisy but all the good restaurants are too noisy, thus my rating.
Daryl A — Google review
My wife and I love MACHETE, it has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants, we love getting to try their different seasonal menus. Strongly suggest getting the cauliflower, it's different every season, but always phenomenal. That said, we've never had a plate of food that was anything less than spectacular. If you enjoy a cocktail, MACHETE definitely is a must. Just like the food, the cocktails change with the season and tend to be themed. The most recent cocktail theme is Bob's Burgers, and the Baby You Can Chive My Car is something we're going to think about for a long time. Outside of the food and drink, the service is always outstanding. Every person that we've ever interacted with has been pleasant and helpful. It's always a pleasure to chat with the staff whenever the chance arises. P.S. if you can make it before the summer menu is over, I strongly suggest the roasted oysters and pasta al limone.

I have been dining at this place for over 10 years and the food is amazing, the quality is A-1, The service is great is great, I really enjoy the specials, the owner cares enough to name a few after her employees, not to mention she is A-1 herself, Ms.Anna Frieberg who has now married an amazing gentleman who's last name i apologize I can not spell. Anna will speak to you upon arrival if she is on the floor, she is down to earth and will only entertain the best in food choices so please give Benders Tavern a try.

I can't believe the waiter saw me multiple times eating without utensil and didn't offer me utensil or napkins, I ate with my finger 😐 not to mention my brother got his order all wrong. And on top of everything they will charge you a 20% charge for non tipper? I gave a dollar tip cause I tip base on the service. You provide good service to me and I make sure I take care of you. But I have to say this place is definitely in my top 3 out of the thousands of places I visited that I the service was poop. I will come back only whenever the waitress is not there. I could keep going on the negative things but ill keep it to myself.
Angel L — Google review
The wings were bought where supposed to be fried then sauced then fried again according to there menu but it was simply was fried and sauced into some non hot sauce. The bartender tonight was quick and fast. Also they were the jumbo wings and most people hate jumbo wings. No issues with the bartender. The basic burger was basic to say the least. Nothing to speak of at all. I felt safe though. They had a small crowd around 30 people and security was doing their jobs. The prices to the food was a bit higher than it should have been. The Green Tea Shot was not up to par. I’ll come back for another visit but this was a last minute choice but I ended up having a better time with Gavin@NYC Pizza on Tate.

Coming from someone working here from out of town. They always made me feel like a local. My kind of place. I’m not going to call it a dive bar but it’s a great hometown bar that I would go to at home. Thanks for the good time.

I want to first thank the bartender, Drew, for welcoming me here for the first-time visit. New to town and found a great sport bar near my new place to stay for work. I'm definitely coming back here on my days off if there's big games going on the night or day 😀. Thanks a few others for the small talk and the welcoming vibes! I also wish the place would have longer hours for the Late games!

Green Joe's Coffee Company is a small-batch roastery located in Greensboro, offering a unique and creative selection of specialty drinks alongside standard coffee options. The European-inspired decor makes it a cool spot to hang out, read, or catch up with friends. Visitors rave about the delicious cheese danish and frozen green tea, as well as the authentic and strong coffee. Additionally, Green Joe's offers barista classes for those interested in learning more about the art of coffee making.
I liked Green Joe’s coffee and atmosphere. A lot of their signature lattes feature dessert flavors, like chocolate chip cookie dough. There’s a ton of seating options with various levels of lighting. I tried the spinach feta scone and while it was good, it was much more buttery than I expected.
Kaylin E — Google review
I visited Green Joe’s for the first time today and ordered a latte. While it was half decent, a few things left me confused and upset about the visit. One, their menu has no pricing or sizes (I guess I’m supposed to ask?) I received what seemed to be the largest size they offer, half of which was just foam.. was I charged for a large or is this the only size? I guess I’ll never know.. and second, on topic of transparency, their cups boast the USDA certified logo; however, as clear as day they are using what appeared to be “Kirkland” Costco Brand milk. This is very misleading, and because of this I will not be returning to this coffee shop.
JY — Google review
Great coffee choices, good location and chilled west cost atmosphere.
Bobbe W — Google review
This was my first visit to Green Joe's. I was very impressed with the setup inside, several different seating areas, fun wall decor and great assortment of merchandise. So many reviews spoke highly of the chai so as an avid tea drinker I had to try it with almond milk--very nice blend of spice and milk. 👍🏿 I hope to try the loose leaf tea next time. Also had a cheese danish, very tasty!!
YT W — Google review
We used to frequent Green Joe’s but the prices have just become astronomical. Nearly $10 for certain lattes and mochas. Nearly $4 for a drip coffee. The prices are about double every other coffee shop you’ll go to. The coffee is fine, but not worth paying double any other coffee spot. You’d think they were somewhere in New York or LA.
Ryan C — Google review
Lovely attentive staff, great choices of coffee that won't disappoint! Way better value than the *bucks

1st time visiting Green Joes Coffee Co. I purchased a cheese danish and a frozen green tea (1st time tasting a frozen green tea). * Cheese Danish: I requested for the cheese danish to be heated. Oh My Delicious Goodness... The best cheese danish I've had since 2019. Perfectly made. Buttery & flakey pastry with a creamy cream cheese filing. The cream cheese filing tasted like a light fluffy cheesecake... just delicious! * Frozen Green Tea: Had a pleasant green tea taste... not too strong or too weak... flavor was just right. Didnt drink it all because I just wanted a little taste to experience flavor & texture of the frozen green tea. I will definitely visit again within the next 30 days for another cheese danish.

Nice place to get coffee. They have many varieties. Their menu of lattes and specialty drinks is not as vast as Starbucks but I requested a cafe mocha for my hubby and they gladly made it. They do have a larger variety of coffee to choose from though. I also like that they offer whole bean coffee for purchase. They also carry many varieties of tea such as Japanese Sencha and Bangkok Green Tea. They had some gorgeous looking desserts there but I didn't try any. I'm sure they are fantastic though! Service was great.

We were there for music (David Childers and the Serpents); it was a great show. Very nice brewpub, quiet enough to really enjoy the music. Plenty of tables and chairs, very clean, and located in a interesting older building in downtown Greensboro. My wife was very happy with the drink she bought.

This place is awesome… The young lady at the bar was amazingly nice and helpful (Jordan). She was quick to help me with a carry out selection, very polite, and so very nice. We chatted briefly about area foods, and she helped me confirm my local choice for wings was spot on. I always truly love when a business refers me to other local/neighborhood establishments. It’s what make the hood a home. I wish I could of sat and chatted with Jordan all evening… The “What’s done in darkness” DBB stout was dessert for my evening.

Such a bad experience. They had ONE waitress running around all by herself, INCLUDING running food up to rooms in the hotel for room service. It's not her fault, but wow. Absolutely awful service and very mediocre food. Will not be returning and would never reccomend. We also found a sticker of an apple attached to our food?? Very bizarre and negligent. I would give zero stars if I could.

Horrible Service! My husband and I took our family of 9 out to dinner here and had the worst service! After drinks and appetizers we waited almost 2 hour's for our food after putting the order in! My husband finally found the waitress and asked what happened to our food, she responded "let me check' . The waitress comes back and states "the order wasn't back there and she would have to take our orders again". If it were not so late in the evening and my husband and I didn't have guest's we would have certainly walked out after the first hour. Trying to salvage the evening my husband asked for a manager who came to the table and took our dinner order a second time. By then it was over 3 hour's from start to finish!
C M — Google review
A few hints to J Butlers' from someone who used to work in the restaurant industry: When there is a giant concert for several nights a few miles away, have more than your normal Sunday night staff working. Also, don't ignore someone at the hostess station for 15 minutes, walk over, tell them you just need to clean a table, have someone else walk over and claim it's a 20 minute wait and then have ANOTHER person (a manager!!) walk over and tell us it's a 45 minute wait...especially when there are multiple tables open. My shrimp salad came out with a few overcooked popcorn shrimp thrown on some bagged salad without any extras. The waiter was in such a rush, he threw our food on the table, spilling my dressing, my husband's dressing, and my friend's chili (which she sent back because it looked like it had been sitting out for a few hours). We never got our waters refilled and my husband had to stalk our waiter at the bar to get us our checks. The waiter looked at him, ignored him, and walked right past him to another table. When he finally did show up to our table, before we could say anything, he took my husband's hardly touched food before he was finished with it! I had to yell to have him bring it back. Never again. Not when there is a Ham's down the street that never disappoints or 10 other restaurants that won't act like we're a bother when we show up with money to spend.
Jocelyn C — Google review
In terms of restaurants connected to hotels, I expect decent food with passable service with higher than merited prices. I went later in the evening and picked a seat at the bar. I was promptly greeted by a cordial server, Lois who took my drink order. I will say this, Lois was very attentive, even anticipated what I may want. She was more than I expected. The food was about what I expected. The fajita salad was mostly iceberg lettuce. The pico wasn't very tasteful, but overall the salad worked. The best part of the salad was the steak which was flavored well (maybe too much for others, but after a full day of work and travel, I appreciated it) and actually cooked medium (ok maybe a little medium rare). Three stars is about what I expect. Lois, especially, and the steak bumped it up to four for me.

The Doggos Dog Park and Pub is a great place for dogs and their owners to have fun together. It has a bar area where visitors must be 21+ to visit, but the park itself is large and accommodating for all kinds of dogs. There's plenty of room for them to play, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
My dog loves Doggos! When we get within a mile of it, she starts squealing in the car with excitement. Her humans like it too. The vibe is relaxing, and we enjoy the social activities such as karaoke and game nights. I wish some pet parents watched their dogs more closely, but the “Rufferees” — staff members and monitors — are good about letting pet parents know when their dog has made a poo. The outdoor part has a well draining turf, and there’s never a smell or mess.
Kim C — Google review
We've been coming to Doggos for 3 months and absolutely love coming here! We have 2 pittie mixes (a 2 yr. old and a 13 yr. old) the staff takes wonderful care of both of them. I know coming here that they are both safe and well looked after. The staff is knowledgeable of dog behavior and allows for a fun/playful environment while maintaining safety/correcting aggressive or overactive behavior. Our youngest came here under a different owner and we know that the staff here was part of training him to be a social well mannered pup. He's been both corrected and protected when needed because that's all part of normal play. On our first few visits it was clear just how EXCITED he was to see the staff again and it was even clearer how much he was LOVED. His favorite person is Gabe who has gone above and beyond making sure he adjusted to his new home/rhythm with us. Gabe has been helpful and attentive to any questions we had. He is the main reason we continued to come and chose a monthly membership and he is once again a large part of why we're switching to a yearly plan. Shout out to Remy, Lynn, and Kayla as well!! We love the community here and love being able to come multiple times a week. Thank you Doggos staff for all that you do 💕
Rene' G — Google review
My partner and I have been coming to Doggos for about a year now, and we absolutely love it! When we first started bringing our pups, they were pretty skittish and unsure about being around other dogs. But over time and thanks to the positive environment at Doggos they’ve grown so much more confident and comfortable. It’s been incredible to watch them go from hiding under the table to confidently exploring the space and even playing with other dogs! The staff truly make this place feel like a second home. They always greet us with a smile and remember our dogs by name, which just speaks to how much they care. Aly, who not only makes fantastic drinks but has also won over both of our pups. That trust means everything to us as dog parents. We’re so grateful to have a place like Doggos where both humans and dogs can relax, socialize, and enjoy themselves. Highly recommend to any dog owner looking for a fun, safe, and welcoming spot!

Joined in March 2025 when I was rescued by Eleanor, a 10-month old Catahoula. Never had heard of them before, but I've discovered it's a loving, beautiful, very active and stubbornly intelligent breed. Y'all, we live in an upstairs apartment. Getting enough exercise at home isn't really feasible, so we go to Doggos at least 5-6 times a week, usually staying for about two hours. The Doggos staff have given me tips, as well as directly corrected Eleanor. I've never felt any of the staff were too aggressive when they had to get her away from another dog. But it's not just the staff, the other dogs and members are pretty great. Everyone's been very nice, some are chatty like me, others just sit and work or just watch their dog. It's created a nice feeling of community, which given that I'm still new to the area is a really nice bonus. TL;Dr: When Eleanor turned a year old, we bought the annual membership. It's a good place.

They have an indoor area with balls and games, and an outside play area in the sun and covered by a garage. They’re always doing fun events and have the BEST bartender named Aly. This was the second time I've been, both times in the winter months. I really love the aquarium and other indoor attractions but have missed the animals that are outside due to cold weather. It's great for kids of all ages as well as adults! I recommend visiting. We took our time and really soaked the indoor activities and spent about 2 hours. Add the outdoor stuff and you could easily spend 3 to 4 hours. The Cafe is not bad, quality and price was good.

We recently had the pleasure of spending an afternoon at a Greensboro park (name not specified, but this review applies to several fantastic ones!). Honestly, I was blown away. This isn't just a park; it's a destination for the whole family. First off, the playground is simply fantastic. It's clean, well-maintained, and has a variety of equipment that kept the kids entertained for hours. It’s clear the city takes pride in its parks. The cleanliness extends to the entire grounds, which is a huge plus. Beyond the playground, the park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. The walking trails are beautifully kept, offering a serene escape perfect for a peaceful stroll or a brisk walk. For those who prefer wheels, the biking trails are equally impressive, providing a great workout with scenic views. But what truly sets this park apart are the unique amenities. The pedal board rentals are a brilliant idea, adding a fun and active element to the experience. We had a blast gliding across the water. And you absolutely cannot miss the giant 5-person swing! It's an absolute must-do, providing endless laughter and a memorable photo op. This park is a testament to Greensboro's commitment to creating high-quality, community-focused spaces. It has something for everyone and is a perfect example of what a city park should be. We will definitely be back!

Great park, includes a dog run, lake with reasonably priced paddle boats that looked like rubber ducky and dragons (each accommodates up to 5 riders), a couple of nice playsets, and a walking path around the lake. It's down the hill from a Zipline that zigzags across the lake, an indoor carousel that opens at 10, and a science museum.
Sheryl R — Google review
This gem is a great place for the while family, including dogs. There is a playground for younger folks, pedal boats, a zip line, dog parks (with a separate one for smaller dogs), picnic shelters (reservations recommended), fishing, a shaved ice stand, a large loop for walking or jogging, or bicycling, and a tram if you just want to ride and enjoy the view. Country Park is located adjacent to the national park for the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, where you can easily absorb some local history if you're in the mood, and to the Greensboro Science Center if you like wild animals, an amazing aquarium, and feel like walking in the treetops at Sky Wild.

Beautiful park, clean and peaceful environment, enjoyed seeing all the wildlife amongst the park area walking freely about.
Cat W — Google review
This is the park that’s behind The Science Center on Lawndale. You can see the lake and the paddle boats from the parking lot. There’s also a pavilion which can be rented for parties and a zip line that goes across the lake. I went here for the Pooch a Mania event at the park. It was such a fun day for me and my dog. It’s definitely a popular area for walking, jogging or bike riding. And there are two fenced in dog parks there too. We will definitely be back for future events and just to walk and enjoy the park.

If you're looking for a night out with your partner, Comedy Zone is the perfect place. This stand-up comedy club features well-known touring acts, as well as regular amateur nights. The food here is delicious, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. You won't be disappointed if you go to Comedy Zone!
I had been years and years ago and enjoyed it then and now we've been twice in the last year. It's a great night out. Food was good both times and wait staff was on the ball and very friendly. The VIP area is a bit crowded as others have noted but not such that it would keep me from going back. Love that it's a smaller venue yet brings recognizable comedians. Thanks to all the employees that make it a fun night out for us.

We had the best service from Serena! It was my first time here. The only problem was the lack of air conditioning. Maybe it was because it was a sold show but needed more space to move. The bathroom was also very clean.
Veronica R — Google review
I always have a great time every time I go. The hostess knows me my name. The atmosphere is nice, drinks good and entertainment is great.

Went to the show tonight and enjoyed the show!! But was very disappointed with the venue. First of all the lady that was at the door was really rude and short with people coming in the door. She asked the younger lady seat my husband and I which she took us to general seating which was told by the other lady. I explained we had VIP seating she said she did not tell me that. She apologized and we went back up to desk so she could verify and than apologized again. We went to VIP area and we get 2 chairs directly in front of the group that was sitting at the at a table. We had no table and was had to keep moving our legs so they could get through serving food and drinks. That was so annoying! Than was asked if we wanted something to eat with no table to sit it on. We answered no. We did have a drink but that was all. But after the show started I started feeling better. YOU MUST DO BETTER AND NOT OVER BOOK SEATING FOR VIP.

I came for the DL Hugely show and had a blast. The club is not super big, but they maximize the space well, like a medium-sized one to me. I had a few drinks; the watermelon splash was my favorite. I ordered the chicken wings. They didn't hit for me. I needed more flavor from the buffalo sauce and prefer blue cheese with real blue cheese. But the price of the food was reasonable, so I won't complain. Despite being sold out, the drinks didn't take long.

First time coming here to see Matt Rife. The parking lot was packed but I did find a parking spot. I went to the 9pm show. Actually more like closer to 9:45/10pm give or take as we had to wait outside for the 7pm show to get out. When I finally got in, I was sat at the bar. Great view of the stage. Matt and the other 2 comedians were great! Wish Matt would have been on the stage longer and took pictures after the show. I ordered the pretzels with cheese sauce. They were delicious! Angie and Nikki were awesome bartenders!!! They were very friendly, helpful and fun! The staff adds gratuity to your food and drink bill.

Great time! Show was amazingly funny! Will call arrival was easy. We arrived got our table and ordered drinks and food. Surprisingly the food was delicious. Drinks arrived on time and good as well. Would definitely return!

I would love to give this 5 stars because everything from the Food to the Presentation was awesome. But the older woman who does the seating idk if she had a bad day or is always like this , but she is soooo rude! The way she speak to people is rude and just isn't respectful at all. So if you are going just know meeting her wil definitely be nothing but a TRAGEDY not a COMEDY

SouthEnd Brewing Company is a brewery located in downtown Greensboro and its beer is highly recommended. There are many delicious options on the menu, and the outside seating with fire pits make it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal.
Awesome atmosphere in a very walkable and cool area of Greensboro. Visiting from out of town and glad we decided to slide through SouthEnd. Offer of indoor and back porch area makes it perfect for enjoying a beautiful day in the city. There’s paid parking lot right behind it too for easy access! Beer is delicious (I had the Prism break and my wife had Pilsner). Love the simple but expansive menu. Better than just an average pub/brewery food menu. Definitely “elevated”
John D — Google review
A very central, cool brewery with a great vibe to go with friends, family and it's dog-friendly. It has a large indoor area and also a very pleasant outdoor area with shade on sunny days. The menu has a variety of very different beer options and also good food options. We ordered the chicken waffles, tuna tacos and boneless chicken and we didn't regret it. The food was very tasty, seasoned and in good quantity. The service was fast and the service was ok, but I didn't like having to go to the counter to order drinks and food whenever you want, but at least you have the option of opening the bill in one name and marking it down according to what you need. Some items that I think are worth mentioning: - Mothers who go with their babies should be aware that there are no changing tables in the bathroom (this is the first time I've seen this happen). - Napkins and cutlery are only available in the indoor area: I thought it was really bad having to go inside to get them in the middle of the meal.
Catherine C — Google review
The only reason this place gets any stars is because of the beer—which was genuinely good. Unfortunately, everything else was a huge letdown. The food was some of the worst bar food I’ve ever had. The “hot chicken sandwich” was laughable: 1. Bun 2. Fried, frozen chicken filet 3. Doused with Texas Pete or Frank’s RedHot 4. Jarred chili flakes 5. Basic lettuce, tomato, etc. It was painfully obvious the chicken came straight out of a freezer bag. Honestly, it felt like something Gordon Ramsay would rip apart on Kitchen Nightmares. Love the unripe green potatoes as well used for the fries. Service wasn’t any better. No one checked on us, asked how our meal was, or seemed to care at all. The woman who took our order barely spoke five words the entire time. Great beer doesn’t make up for bad food and worse service. I really wanted to like this place, but it was a massive disappointment.
David B — Google review
I arrived here at 7:35pm on a Tuesday evening with two friends to grab some food following an event across the street. It was trivia night, so it was fairly busy. Around 7:45pm, I ordered food. I got the half pound garlic parm wings (6) and regular fries ($8). The total was $18. You must order order at the food counter and drinks at the bar. After ordering, we went outside to sit as the inside was completely full. The music was pretty loud when it was playing. I received my food at 7:53pm. The wings were perfectly cooked! I loved the crisp it had. However, the dry rub wasn’t enough for me, in my opinion. I like my wing flavors bold and it wasn’t. My fries were lukewarm and mixed consistently in crispiness. It was definitely overpriced. My friends got sandwiches and they highly enjoyed them. I would return to try a sandwich. They come with fries and seems more affordable.

If you’re looking for a fun and relaxed spot to enjoy Sunday brunch, look no further than South End Brewing Company in Greensboro. I recently visited and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The highlight of my visit was definitely the mimosa flights. For just $12, you can sample a variety of delicious mimosas, which is a fantastic deal. If you're more of a traditionalist, a regular mimosa is only $3, and if you’re in the mood to celebrate, a whole bottle of champagne is just $15—a steal! The breakfast menu, while somewhat limited, offered good quality food that hit the spot. The service was decent, and I appreciated the self-seating arrangement which added to the laid-back vibe of the place. Overall, the atmosphere at South End Brewing Company is really nice, making it a perfect spot to unwind with friends or family. Whether you're there for the drinks or the food, you're sure to have a great time. Cheers to a great brunch spot!

I love the beer selection and the atmosphere here. It was a nice place to catch up with old friends without being overwhelmed by a lot of people. I would be at a 5 star rating if the service from the bartender didnt have an unpleasant attitude. Bartender poured the drinks well and was efficient, but seemed miserable. I understand that not everybody has a great day but there was no need for the attitude. Other than that I love south end and will be returning

Finally, a quality brewery with some great food as well. The wife and I usually have an early brunch on Sundays and this place opens at 10:30am and was pretty busy when we got there at noon. Massive outdoor seating options with plenty inside for those questionable weather days. Staff is well versed in what they’re pouring, and have great food pairing suggestions for what’s on the grill a counter down. Had the fried flounder sandwich, wife had the smoked brisket sandwich. Bread was toasted and buttered, flounder was lightly breaded and crispy, with a wonderful sauce, lettuce, something pickled, and lettuce. Wife’s was smoky, meaty, and tender, with the same toasted, buttered bread. Truffle fries where awesome, with a great aioli sauce. Great beers, and service topped off a wonderful experience. Will be back soon.

Great food and good atmosphere. You'll find a beer you'll like and its up to you from there! We tried the Tuna appetizer and loved it, a real twist on nachos, also, I think their wings are some of the best in town! Two outside decks to choose from so you can social distance like a champ.

The Bearded Goat is a popular downtown Greensboro bar known for its friendly staff and great atmosphere. It's described as a classy dive bar with an artistic touch, making it a home away from home for many visitors. The bar offers various entertainment options such as music bingo and trivia nights, creating a small-town dive bar vibe with a wide selection of beers and spirits. Additionally, the bartenders are praised for their friendliness and attentiveness.
The Bearded Goat is hands down my favorite bar in Greensboro. I’ve been coming here for years, and in that time, I’ve made lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. It has all the charm of a dive bar, but with a cleaner, more polished vibe and an extensive whiskey and bourbon selection. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. The staff are some of the friendliest, coolest people you’ll ever meet. They know how to make a great drink, and the specials are always on point. The patio is easily the best in town, also! It is covered in cool street art. It’s the perfect spot to relax get inspired, and just enjoy good company. If you’re looking for a laid-back yet lively bar with great drinks, an awesome crowd, and a one-of-a-kind vibe, The GOAT is it! Five stars all the way!!

Nestled in the heart of the city, Pig Pounder Brewery is a charming microbrewery that brings a taste of Britain to local beer enthusiasts. This delightful spot specializes in crafting authentic English ales, including an English Dark Mild and their celebrated Boar Brown ale. Visitors are invited to embark on guided tours where they can delve into the brewery's rich history and learn about the art of brewing craft beer.
A pig themed brewery that could double as an art museum... I'm in. Such a cool spot. There's so much creativity sprawled throughout the space, visually and in liquid form. Three brews I tried were smooth, balanced, delicious. The help was friendly and engaging. And, as stated, the artwork is top-notch. Definitely a high point of my day in the area. I will be back and highly recommend a stop to everyone.

Fantastic experience. If you like hanging out with a group of people being slightly more active then holding down a bar stool, this place is for you. What a great concept that reverberates cool, laid back vibe throughout the numerous spaces. All this to say they serve beer, good beer. The employees are wonderful and outgoing. Small night club. The drinks are very affordable and good. Young crowd. The drag show was alright. I've seen better. But what the drag queens lacked they certainly made up for in personality and ability to engage the crowd.
Heather T — Google review
It was my first time. I had heard a lot of great things from friends saying it was fun and nice! One of my friends was so excited to go out, and I was too because it had been a long time since I had been out. When we got there, the show was going and the drag queens were fabulous! Then it was time for dancing, and my friend wanted to dance. An older guy followed us to the dance floor and kept getting closer and closer to my friend and wiggling his eyebrows. We went outside. Going back inside, and girl asked if she could dance with us because the same guy started getting uncomfortably close and not taking the spoken word "no" for an answer. We went back outside to talk to the security guard that looked really cool. When we explained what happened, the security guard told us "he's just really weird and socially awkward and needs friends. If he does something then I'll do something about it" or something similar. The security guard told us the creepy guy did that a lot, and that he just wanted to make friends. We were more than upset, but there was nothing more we could do. We tried to go back in to dance. I noticed the same guy and stepped between my friend and the guy. He moved to stare at their chest behind me and kept getting closer. The girl went to buy a drink, and the creepy guy went to insistently try to pay for her drink. She kept telling him "no thanks" at least 9 times before I stepped between them because he kept inching closer to her if she looked away. The bartender named Glenn told the creepy guy to leave her alone. The bartender served other people at the bar, then left, came back looking at the girl as if she was an alien. She said her drink order to him again, and ended it with saying "yeah." I can understand and see the "yeah" coming across as sassy or rude, but it's a club. It's loud. You can't hear anything unless you yell, and sometimes tone is thrown off by the yelling. Glenn the bartender repeated her "yeah" in a passive aggressive comeback and then told her she was cut off after her one beer. We went outside, group hugged, then left. The drag queens were sweet and lovely, the security guard seemed cool part of the time, it was fun to dance a bit before the creepy guy showed up. But overall, it wasn't a good experience.
Nibi F — Google review
One of my wife's and my favorite lgbtqia+ places to go on the weekend! Cannot recommend enough- the community, acceptance, and energy there is incredible. And really decent pricing for drinks too. It's on the smaller side, and not a whole lot of seating, and it does get super busy, especially later in the night, but the vibes are always immaculate 🏳️‍🌈

The atmosphere and people are great! I always leave with new friends!

⭐ 1 Star — Unsafe and Disrespectful Environment for Women My friend went to Chemistry expecting a fun, safe night to dance, nothing more. Instead, she was followed around by a creepy man all night, even after repeatedly telling him “leave me alone.” She went to security several times, and their response was basically “he’s just weird” doing absolutely nothing to protect her or make her feel safe. Throughout the night, this man continued to follow and stare at her, and security kept saying they’d “keep an eye out” but never stepped in. That’s not acceptable. That’s negligence. To make things worse, the bartender was rude, dismissive, and openly disrespectful toward women. It felt like women weren’t welcome there at all, which is incredibly disappointing and ironic for a space that’s supposed to represent inclusivity and community. If Chemistry is going to treat women like this, then they should be honest and say they only cater to men. No one! gay, straight, or otherwise, deserves to feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or disrespected in a bar that claims to be part of the LGBTQ+ community. Chemistry is a toxic environment and completely fails to create the safe, welcoming space it claims to be.

Service is great. Owner is very cool and downs to earth. Live music here is currently the best around hands down. Its not that I currently work for the owner that I me say these positive things lol. Went on a Thursday night with my boyfriend for the first time. FYI Thursday night is music bingo! Too bad we aren't great at remembering artist of songs so that wasn't super enticing to us but there was a great crowd for the festivities. I ordered the Southwest Chicken Philly Sandwich. It was tasty and warm with the gooey cheese and fresh avocado. My boyfriend ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Both were generous portions. They have a decent amount of beers offered too. I tried out the Sycamore Pink Lemonade (so tasty if you enjoy a sour) and my boyfriend had his tried and true Red Oak. It was busy, so our service was a little slow because our waitress had a lot on her plate. We were there to hang out, so it wasn't a big deal for us. But our food and drink were delicious and it was fun to have the music festivities in the background.

Plenty of bites and pints to be enjoyed here! We visited for lunch and dinner and both times the environment was very family friendly. The menu has something for everyone (even healthy eaters) Green salads, yummy ginger dressing, burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, items with avocado and so much more! The beer selection looks excellent. The music noise level is a bit high but that certainly didn't bother us. Staff is very friendly. Service was rather quick. We didn't wait to be seated either time we visited. The bathrooms were very clean. We'll definitely visit again!

The menu hides the high quality of food. You might think it's a regular dive bar with decent but not great food, you would be wrong. The mixed drinks, food, service, seating, are excellent.
