Ghostly Manor Thrill Center is a family-friendly entertainment hub that offers a wide range of attractions suitable for all ages. From a haunted house and mini-golf to a 3D theater and skating rink, this indoor venue has been recognized by Forbes Magazine and featured on The Travel Channel's 'Best Places I've Ever Been' series.
An amazing getaway. It’s great for kids and adults, I wish they had more to do but for the price it’s enjoyable for everyone, we had an issue one time with an adult running into our child on the skating rink and was extremely rude but other than that it’s a fun experience lots of games, they offer food like pizza and drinks, the 3d golf is awesome, the dark ride is fun. And we have been several times and will be back!

Had a great experience here! Needed something to do for a few hours before our resort check-in and this fit the need perfectly! We interacted with the manager a lot. She was extremely nice and helpful along with all the other staff! We did the fun pass and added on the play area! The pricing is wonderful too! Will definitely visit again if back in the area!
Britanie D — Google review
They have a lot to offer here, a little of everything for indoor entertainment. There was an arcade, roller skating, mini golf, and so much more. It was clean and not too crowded. It would be great for a fun date or for a birthday party. Mini golf got a little backed up but we still enjoyed it, they give you 3-D glasses which is a whole new challenging experience for mini golf. Worth the stop for some fun.
Tessa — Google review
We come here every time we come to Sandusky to take the kids to Great Wolf Lodge. It's only a few minutes down the road and you can easily kill a couple of hours here. The kids will love it. They have skating/rollerblading, a haunted house, play area, bounce area, arcade, mini golf, etc.
Kenny D — Google review
The place is very nice and clean, and extremely friendly staff. While we were not there for long, we enjoyed our experience very much. We did the 7D Dark Ride and the Haunted House. The 7D Dark Ride was fun and I enjoyed the shooting aspect (it reminded me of Fortnite). The Haunted House scared me so damn bad. I genuinely was tweaking out the entire time, especially the end with the claustrophobic bit. Definitely scary even for a 20 year old like myself. All in all, good experience. 10/10 would piss myself again.
KalaMari — Google review
Brandy did a great job! We do quite a few escape rooms and had a great time with this one! It has multiple rooms which we like and puzzles that felt unique. The VR experience was good but short. I 100% recommend the mini-golf! 3D glasses and black lights make it a truly unique experience!
Patrick N — Google review
Loved this place . Must visit if you are looking for a fun activity with friends and family! The haunted house and the dark ride were the best activities we did .
Pranjali S — Google review
It has a range of different activities including skating (they offer supports and even scooters for beginners), minigolf, arcade games, VR games 4D X experience, a haunted house and even a bounce house for younger audiences. It is suitable for all age groups and reservations for parties are also available. In my opinion, the best activities were 3D minigolf and the haunted house. The house is different from other haunted houses as they also have live actors to increase the scare factor, while still keeping it fun for younger audiences (above 10 years).

Wineries & Vineyards
Firelands Winery & Restaurant, established in 1880, is a renowned winery in Ohio that has garnered numerous awards for its exquisite wines. The winery offers tours and tastings where visitors can sample a wide range of premium wines made from locally grown grapes. The tour provides an informative insight into the wine-making process, taking guests through cellars, bottling rooms, and champagne cellars.
1. Today, we visited Firelands Winery for the first time, serving as a convenient meeting point to connect with family from Michigan. The winery is stunning both inside and out, and we thoroughly enjoyed a tasting, particularly appreciating the Lonz Cream Concord. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive during our visit. Unfortunately, I realized after returning home, approximately two and a half hours later, that I had dropped my wallet. Upon calling the winery, a staff member kindly informed me that he had found it and offered to mail it back to me at no cost, despite my willingness to cover the shipping expenses. I am immensely grateful for his thoughtfulness and the kindness displayed by the staff, which is a refreshing reminder of the goodness that still exists in the world. Thank you, Firelands Winery.

What a great place! We loved the professional service, atmosphere and the wine is delicious. Try this place out when you’re in town!

Went to Firelands for the first time on Sunday Oct 19 with my husband. Had a great experience.. Toby was awesome, she really knows her stuff and very friendly. Met a couple of guys who frequent the winery and were quite welcoming and told us about Guinness book of world records and a record of witches..it was great. Will come back soon!
McKenzie C — Google review
The wine samples was awesome. Many to choose from and we bought a few of the ones we liked. The pizzas were good too, the plate of cheeses was not, it only had 2 packaged cheeses and too many crackers.

Incredible fresh food and delicious wine. I reccommend a flight of their sweet wines. Very friendly service and LIVE music by Marlee Carpenter & The Forgotten was amazing!!! Will be back again :)

On a motorcycle roadtrip Stopped in for a tasting. location was good, nice quite road off the main. Patio was perfect. We took the taflkast over with us to enjoy alittle dice game while we enjoyed the patio, all wines we sampled were very nice. Pina Colada slushy was a-bit to much pineapple we didnt taste any coconut really but it was good just not a pina colada. We’d recommend making a stop. Cheers!

We’re not very personable. Carry a small dog in my hand and ordered lunch no issues sat outside. Wanted to order a couple cases of wine in the mail owner said is that a service dog? I said no he said we’re not allowed to have them. He just lost a lot of business. they never said anything when I was in there with my puppy earlier to order food never go back.
Brenda N — Google review
Strange winery…most of their wine on the shelves and on the flights are not their wine…you can’t do a tasting at the bar, you have to decide if u want to sit out inside or inside before you’re allowed to order. And then it took forever for them to serve our flight even though they weren’t busy….and then a server brought us menus cuz they didn’t know we had been served already…just a strange experience, I would not recommend it…I gave it a 2 instead of 1 because the employees were very nice.

My wife and I stopped here after a long day visiting Cedar Point. It really made our day, with their duck wings being absolutely delicious and their wines and cocktails exceptional. We fully intend to visit again during trips in the future.
Brian W — Google review
A super elegant and welcoming establishment. The owner is passionate about her Crush wine bar. The food was amazing, sushi and steak. Downtown Sandusky near the water.
Sonny W — Google review
Just visiting town and Crush was recommended to us. Excellent meal and service all around. We started with the olives and pate. My wife is Gluten Free, so they gave us half bread and half cucumber slices. Delicious. For the main meal, we chose the Halibut special and the seafood pasta dish - both home runs. We had a house Savignon Blanc and the sour beer (this one is very sour). They have a great wine selection and a number of drafts. Highly recommended.

Not Quite the Crush I Was Hoping For We had high hopes for Crush Wine Bar in Sandusky, but our experience missed the mark. Despite having a reservation, we were seated at a table blasted by the setting sun—making it tough to enjoy the ambiance. Oddly, OpenTable still showed plenty of available tables, so it felt like poor seating management. We started with the calamari and asked for a side of marinara—it arrived ice cold, like it had just come out of the fridge. Not ideal. The special of the night was already sold out, so I settled for the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Unfortunately, it was underwhelming—bland, in need of salt and parm to bring it to life. Our server was kind and attentive, but overall, it wasn’t the kind of evening we were hoping for. For a place marketed as a date night destination, it needs some fine-tuning.

Food: amazing Atmosphere: slightly loud Drinks: perfect Price: doable Attire: classy Service: friendly Complaints: no ranch! 🤣 Our new favorite spot. Highly recommend. We tried old fashions, scallops, brussel sprouts, sushi and a few pizzas. It was a wonderful place to venture to. We will be back. I have zero complaints other than. I prefer ranch with my pizza and our server would not go to the store to grab us some (kidding) it really was a great place. Please give them a try I think you will enjoy your time there.
Royalty D — Google review
Unfortunately they have dropped off in service! I had them at a solid 5, now they barely hold a 2! This was my old revie... no longer accurate! **Fantastic Food!!!! Excellent Service! Sambuco Scallops were off the charts. Wine flights were excellent!!
Chris T — Google review
Despite its flawed service, Crush is a restaurant worth visiting for its exceptional food. Our experience was hampered by slow, inattentive staff. We had to ask for silverware for our entrees, and to our surprise, we were given a dirty appetizer fork in return. However, the food more than made up for the poor service. The bolognese was rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The brussels sprouts were a standout dish, perfectly crispy and seasoned. While the service leaves much to be desired, the fantastic food makes Crush a worthwhile stop if you’re in the area. Just be prepared for a potentially frustrating experience with the staff.
Jeremy K — Google review
It’s our second time dining at Crush in a week. Two Saturday evenings in a row. Last Saturday we ate in the bar and it was every bit of wonderful. This Saturday we brought a guest and we sat out on the front patio. Elli was our excellent server in both visits! This place is awesome. Wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces to dine. They have two different patio areas. And the restaurant is a short easy walk down to the lake after dinner. We are NA beverage customers, so I can’t talk about the wine or the cocktails. But our food was amazing! We had the special summer peach salad, the smoked trout dip appetizer was fantastic and I don’t even usually like fish! We also had the salmon entrée, The Bolognese pasta entrée and the crabcake chef special entrée! Beautiful presentation, Great portions, and amazing flavor! We just rediscovered this place after seeing the promos about the City of Sandusky ribbon-cutting and all the wonderful things right there on that block in Sandusky. We don’t live nearby, but this is definitely going to be our new go-to spot anyway! We had an opportunity to see the entrées at the tables nearby to us, and whether it was sushi, steak, flatbread or any of the other choices, It looked like everybody was enjoying everything they had! They do get busy on the weekend, so be sure you snag a reservation!

Volstead Bar in Sandusky, Ohio is a classy speakeasy offering craft cocktails and a calm atmosphere. It's highly praised for its excellent vibe and top-notch drinks. The bartenders are known for their expertise in mixing up classic cocktails like the old fashioned. Visitors can also head to Crush Wine Bar if Volstead Bar is full, as it's another great spot on Columbus Ave.
Update: second visit to this fantastic little spot. Jonah is a great bartender and you can taste the care and experience he brings to the cocktails. Volstead never disappoints! This place is amazing. Great cocktails, excellent vibe and atmosphere. Best drinks in Sandusky!

Such a great speakeasy-style bar. The atmosphere is pleasant, and super cozy. It was exactly what my partner and I were looking for. The cocktails were phenomenal! For a good time, ask the bartender, John, about Lost.
Patrick T — Google review
Excellent drinks. Bar tender John was the best, he made the Atmosphere in the bar awesome. Highly recommend going to this bar if you are in town.
Bill G — Google review
In true speakeasy style, this place is not easily found, (Google maps will still take you right there). Its small, quaint and relaxing. A pretty extensive drink menu of all hand made cocktails with the finest liquors. Worth a visit
Danielle T — Google review
I was engaged in discussion about prohibition while receiving a drink i ordered at the bar and interjected of Al Capone's reach and influence during prohibition and the facts of the founding of Sandusky and the bartender told me to stop talking politics. Ended our good times. The tone that was set was overtly "woke". We may try again and hope for a more authentic speak easy bar tender. Very well made drinks though.
Corey — Google review
My girlfriend and I came here as a recommendation from a bartender elsewhere. It was a little odd walking in through curtains, but once inside, you realize this is like a locals retreat. Being that we were on vacation, I was afraid we would be intruding. We spent almost 4 hours there and I think we walked away with about 6 new friends, including Ashley the bartender, who was a rockstar with her drinks. Really enjoyed our time at the Volstead.
Kevin B — Google review
Came to Sandusky for a day trip and was so glad to find this gem. Will be back just to get another great cocktail from Zach! Very charming and authentic speakeasy experience.

Nestled in the heart of Sandusky, The Old Dutch Tavern is a charming bar and restaurant that has been delighting locals since 1956. With its unpretentious exterior and warm, inviting interior, it’s the perfect spot to unwind with friends while savoring delicious food from a straightforward menu. Their renowned burgers are an absolute must-try, especially for those seeking gluten-free options—an uncommon find that makes this place even more special.
We had a wonderful experience here! The cheese curds were top notch, we both loved our sandwiches, but the best part was the incredible service by our server, Alyson! She was beyond friendly, attentive, and caring. I would absolutely come back any time I go to Cedar Point or are otherwise in the area. Thanks, Alyson!
Samir E — Google review
Just visited for the first time since the new owners have taken over. I have to say I was very pleased with the updates they have made. They have a salad bar, and smoked wings special on Wednesday nights. I had my favorite sauerkraut balls and they were just as good as they ever were. The biggest surprise, however, was that my vodka cranberry coctail was only $3.00!!! WOW!! The bartenders were friendly and fun as well!
Dianne C — Google review
Always the best, always great customer service from Ali. The absolute best steak burgers in town. If you haven’t been here, you don’t know what heck you ate missing. We always come on Thursday nights for steak burger night and it’s unbelievable. Not even going to dispute that this is one of the best places in town.
J A — Google review
The old Dutch was known for good burgers I guess they aren't anymore. Showed the bartender who was very nice offered to get it remake it I said no because it took forever and my friends at a separate table ordered 20 minutes after us got theirs 5 minutes before us. She took 3 dollars off my bill which I thought was ridiculous because I couldn't even eat half. They don't ask how you want it cooked. But this is even beyond well done it was incredibly dry and flavorless.
Corey T — Google review
Great ambiance, amazing bartenders, excellent food! Totally inviting, great prices and well worth the visit!

The Best Dam Burger In The Land. Thursday nights. Actually you can get them any night But Ali is the best bartender and steakburger Thursday is the best night. Dont miss it.

Really a hidden gem. Unassuming on the outside and down to earth on the inside. The food was amazing, and our waitress, Alyson, had great suggestions. Really personable. We were pleasantly surprised to see gluten free options available. Planning to take some family here since being able to get a good burger on a gluten free bun is a rare find and they have missed a good burger. For those of us who can eat gluten, the crispy fries are amazing. Also we'll definitely get the cuban and fried bologna again. Can't wait till the porch is set up.
Ryan F — Google review
Busy Friday and stopped in for the famous Dutch burger and a side of fries. Our bartender was Molly and service was perfect. Burger was cooked just the way we ordered and delicious. Fries are beer battered and just as good. Totally recommend. No pics because we smashed the food!

Sandusky State Theatre, also known as The State, is a historic landmark in downtown Sandusky that has been serving the community for almost a century. I have played here many time (Trumpet), Firelands Symphony, Northcoast Concert Band, and soon in the pit for a brand new musical. Sophie's Light! It is a spectacular venue.
Shane T — Google review
This is a good theatre with impeccable architecture. I went here to watch a play and was satisfied with my experience. I walked into the theatre and sat down in one of the chairs, which was very comfortable. I went through the lobby of the theatre, which has red carpet and is very nice The play was good and I left after it finished, satisfied with my experience. To get out of the theatre, you have to go through the lobby. It's quite spacious, so it isn't crowded when you leave the theatre, which I like. There are also some stores and restaurants near the theatre, which is nice. I gave this theatre five stars because it's nice, fancy, and conveniently located in the center of downtown Sandusky.

Cedar Point is a vast amusement park featuring an array of water slides, thrilling rides, roller coasters, and entertainment options. The Cedar Point Museum provides an intriguing look into the history of this renowned park, showcasing its evolution from a lakeside resort to a globally recognized entertainment destination. Visitors can explore original roller coaster models and learn about the park's legacy.
Cedar Point is absolutely amazing! The rides are packed with fun and thrills from start to finish it truly lives up to its reputation as the roller coaster capital. We went during Halloweekends, and that took the experience to a whole new level. The park was covered in spooky Halloween décor, with themed attractions and special activities that made the atmosphere even more exciting. Between the coasters, the seasonal events, and everything else the park has to offer, one day just isn’t enough you’ll definitely want more time to experience it all!
Nijanand S — Google review
Absolutely amazing amusement park! The roller coasters here are top notch and from online info they are consistently ranked top in the country! There are also other fun rides like a 300 foot tall swing ride, a gondola down the middle of the park, and a good amount of little kids rides. There is also an indoor arcade area. Any roller coaster enthusiast will love this park, but families will have fun too! The food is also pretty good, with good portions, and the meal plan is definitely worth it!
Matthew Z — Google review
I came this year for hallo weekends. The best day of all was actually Halloween. The crowds were low and we were able to get on all the rides very quickly. A few rides like the millennium we are able to get right back on as soon as we got off. The amount of effort put into decorating the park is amazing. It really does give you a spooky fall natural vibe. The haunted houses are a lot of fun too. The best places to eat in my opinion are the pavilion and the barbecue place. The mixed drinks are way too sugary and not enough alcohol though. I recommend finding a bar that serves liquor and doing a shot. We got tequila shots at the one place in the pioneer village area and they were basically like doubles. If your time is limited it's a busy day you may want to invest in a fast pass. On a busy day you can wait up to 2 hours for some of these roller coasters. I also visited in the summer. The water park there is pretty nice. They have some water slides a lazy river and a nice beach. Cedar point is definitely the premier roller coaster destination in North America. I love the top thrill 2, The Magnum, the millennium, and really most of the other roller coasters there. If you're staying over I recommend sawmill Creek It is a resort like atmosphere there and they have two pools and hot tubs. I haven't stayed at hotel breakers but I have stayed at castaway Bay and I don't like those rooms there. They remind me of prison cells. Overall I definitely recommend visiting cedar point if you never have. It is in a great location near the Lake Erie Islands and a lot of other fun things that you can do.
Scott E — Google review
Brought my kids to this amusement park for our first visit here and it really did not disappoint. We purchased tickets in advance, which can save some money especially if you go through a third-party seller so be sure to check around for deals. You will have to purchase parking, I purchased preferred which does get you a bit closer to the entrance and comes in handy after a tiring day. I added meal and drink packages to our tickets which also came in handy as you could get drinks every 15 minutes and get meals every 90 minutes. If you are visiting during peak season, I would recommend a fast pass upgrade too as it can cut down your wait times significantly although they do sell single ride fast passes in the app, which I would recommend downloading and using during your visit as well. If you are a roller coaster or thrill ride enthusiast this is the park for you. They have over 20 thrill rides and coasters combined. They also do have rides for children or those seeking less of a thrill. There are also other things the park has like arcades, access to the beach, and even more. There were some rides that were down at times during our visit but they came back on soon enough and we were able to ride. The newer and most popular rides did have wait times that were longer than an hour but there were others that you could ride then get back on immediately after the ride. I did not find any wait too long and during your wait they have shade, fans, mist machines, or a combination of those in line. Overall, our visit was great. We were able to ride many of the top rides during our visit and it was not too crowded so wait times seemed minimal. Great park, with great rides and looking forward to returning for another visit in the future.
Jackie D — Google review
Absolutely one of the best amusement parks in the world without a question. I try to make it here at least once a year and especially during the Halloween season because I love seeing everything all decked out. Waits for rides can get long, so I definitely recommend fast pass, or packing your patience and something to do in line. If the weather is bad there isn't a ton inside to do which is a bummer.
Eliott S — Google review
I drove 2.5 hours from Michigan to check out Cedar Point’s Halloweekends, and while the event itself was fun, there were definitely some frustrating parts. Parking was chaotic and poorly managed, and the wait times for rides and haunted houses were painfully long. Fast Lane passes were available, but at over $400 for two people, it felt way too expensive just to skip the lines. That said, the rides were awesome once we finally got on — especially at night with the Halloween atmosphere — and the food was actually really good. The park was decked out in spooky decor, with fog, lights, and scare actors creating a great vibe. Overall, it was a fun experience, but between the long drive, rough parking, and high costs, it wasn’t quite as smooth or worth it as I hoped.

The best! Cedar Point is a premier destination for coaster enthusiasts and the general public. With multiple different places to stay on site of close to the park, it also makes it convenient to stay multiple days. There are rides for everyone there, ranging from kid friendly rides to purely extreme rides. They call Cedar Point "America's Coaster Coast" for a reason. They have roller coasters all over the park. You could spend your whole stay just doing roller coasters. The wait times are usually pretty long for most rides, so be prepared. But, I will say that almost every wait is worth it. I waited 60 minutes for Top Thrill 2 and Siren's Curse, 75 for Maverick. Every wait was 100% worth it. I also really appreciated how kind and friendly the staff was, you dont find that at every amusement park. If you are anywhere close to Cedar Point and have some free time, come and check out Cedar Point. You'll be satisfied.

We went for Halloweekends on Nov. 1st. It was my kids (ages 8 and 9) first experience with Halloweekends, and I myself haven't been to Halloweekends since I was a kid. We stayed until 12am when they close. I will start with the NEGATIVE first: took 3 stars bc it wasn't scary like at all. There were a lot of parts of the park that had no creepy music playing so it didn't feel very Halloweeny and there's weren't any scary dressed up people walking around unless you were in the Frontier Town part of the park and even then there was like only 5 ppl walking around. Anything scary you just weren't allowed to enter unless you paid A LOT of money for in advance. Family with multiple kids just can't afford that. So the kids and I were pretty disappointed they couldn't go into ANY attraction, no corn maze, no haunted houses eventhough we are Gold Pass holders. They're going to lose money this coming year if they go that again I think. The Positive: We still had a great time as the kids are still young. The bands were absolutely AMAZING!! Honestly that was what really made the visit so magical. The decorations were so great too! Wait time wasn't horrible and weather was nice. PLEASE make it scarier and ACCESSIBLE next year. Know your audience. This is Ohio and we don't have money to pay extra when we already spend hundredsss on membership passes. It's messed up.

Nestled along the scenic waterfront of Sandusky, Ohio, The Original Margaritaville is a seasonal gem that captures the essence of summer dining. With its expansive deck offering stunning views and a vibrant atmosphere, this restaurant is perfect for those looking to unwind with delicious Tex-Mex cuisine. Guests can indulge in an array of flavorful dishes such as tacos, fajitas, and enchiladas while enjoying live music on weekends.
Go check it out for yourself!! We are foodies and it was great!!! Bacon wrapped dates are to die for (watch for toothpicks). Chorizo corn cakes are calling me back. The queso, chicken nachos and burger in paradise had everyone else pleased. Pleasant staff, didn’t take long and I LOVE places that give you half order options especially if we take our kids! Under $55 to fully feed 3 adults is good in this area!!! Could have fed a 4th or a few kids, half orders are still large.

This place was so good we went back two days in a row. Mexican/American bar food menu, quick food service, and friendly staff. Extremely reasonable prices. Free chips and salsa were tasty, the queso dip was thick and flavorful, and I can personally vouch for the burrito, the tacos, the burger on a tortilla, and the chicken sandwich. Veggies were fresh and food came out hot (and very quickly both times). They also have tons of outdoor seating if that’s what you like, but we sat inside to enjoy the cold air. Bonus, we sat at a table next to a huge window in front of a small waterfall. Added bonus, the fries were fantastic. Very different from what I’m used to, a flatter wide cut fry with a hint of seasoning. An absolutely PERFECT break for food and air-conditioning from Cedar Point. This will probably be my go-to for an amusement park launch from now on.

We stopped by for a quick bite on our way home! The bartender was quick to greet us & came back to serve us since the server was slammed. The outside menu was small but had something for everyone. The food came out fast and everything was delicious! We have always loved it here. Great atmosphere! A must stop! Waterfall too!

Nice date night spot to have some dinner by the waterfall, or just for a drink at their bar. Good service, and great food.

Another day, another bucket list item checked off! What a gorgeous and fun little oasis right on the outskirts of Sandusky! Conveniently located off the interstate and state route 6, you’ll find yourself on island time right in Ohio. They had the music going and drinks ready to go! We chose to dine at the Tiki side and that has a reduced menu but that was fine for what we were after. We went on a Wednesday evening and the crowd was small, the waitress was so friendly and the wait for food was minimal! Note that on the tiki side you must be 21 and up to enter that side, but on the left they have indoor seating and you can see the waterfall from in there! #datenight #dateideas #lakeerie #margaritaville #sanduskyohio Food was ok: wings were the best thing we got: the tequila Lime was phenomenal! Fries were more like chips and the first batch was over cooked so they made me fresh which was an improvement! Prices are good for the level of food!

New management and owner. Chef made stuffed dates wrapped in bacon. They were incredible!!! I have never had anything like that before. Beautiful scenery.

Not our first time at this little spot. But it is our first time under the new ownership. We came in on a Monday night. The inside was closed so we sat outside on the deck. They might have been a little understaffed but the outside bartender took very good care of us. The food was better than the last time we were here. We will definitely be back. Glad you reopened!! We enjoy the deck and waterfall. Thanks again!!

Small City Taphouse is a popular destination known for its industrial-chic interior and wide selection of draft microbrews. The menu features Pan-Asian plates and sushi, with options like the Curry Tofu and a variety of sushi rolls including vegan choices like avocado and cucumber rolls. This spot offers a unique dining experience with an extensive drink selection that includes craft beer, bourbons, and scotches.
We love their flair on food. Service was friendly and quick. I apologize for the pictures on our appetizers ,We got the Vietnamesse crunchy roll and the crispy spring roll that were delicious. I thought the Vietnamesse roll was a better value.

Fun brew house/ Asian fusion spot in downtown Sandusky (yes you heard that right) really surprised to find a place of this caliber here I can't wait to tell you about it. Plenty of parking across the street (parking garage and street parking). Place is large with a big main bar and a downstairs eating area with an even bigger bar. Grab a seat in the waiting area and peruse the fun beer glasses/merch/to-go beers while you wait for your table (I grabbed a DRINK BEER GET PHO glass). Beer menu is surprisingly large, the IPAs and lagers were a favorite among our group, but for me the CLAGCITY was by far the best if you like a nice floral IPA. Menu has a good amount of items, unfortunately they were out of beef while we were there, but we came on a Tuesday so I understand (really wanted to try the pho). Ended up with the lettuce wraps and spring rolls to start, both were well proportioned and great. For mains there was a mix of spicy noodle bowls, pad Thai, and rice bowls, all of which were enjoyed. Overall a great meal, tasty beers, and a nice modern atmosphere, which I love to see in downtown Sandusky. Will definitely be back!

This place was recommended that we go and try when we traveled to Cedar point for the weekend. Nice area very close to the water nice atmosphere. The restaurant is really big and bustling TVs for all the sporting events.. the food was ok from my perspective. My children did really enjoy their sushi. If you are not picky about your Asian cuisine, then I would definitely say try this place. Obviously as it is a taphouse, they have lots of drinks and beers to choose from. we made a reservation because we had such a large party, but I was surprised at how big this place was and they had plenty of room.

We just stopped to get a drink. Extra large space that has a very cool vibe. There are so many choices for drinks. Something for everyone. Everyone was ordering sushi, so it must be good

This place was a great find! Easily the best sushi we’ve had outside of the west coast. The fish was fresh and the Vietnamese dishes were on point - again, the best we’ve had outside of Seattle. Don’t miss the wonton soup, I Pho with It roll (if you like spicy), and of course, pair it with the drink of your choice! We can’t wait to go back and try some of the noodle dishes and of course, more sushi.

Small City Taphouse – Sandusky, OH 🌆🍣 We stopped in for sushi, spicy noodle rice, and orange chicken — and wow. Great atmosphere, friendly people, and food that’ll have you planning your next visit before you even finish eating.

Australian restaurant
Outback Steakhouse is a lively Australian-themed restaurant chain that offers a variety of hearty steakhouse dishes, including steaks and seafood. It's a popular choice for families with dietary restrictions, as they offer good options for those with celiac disease. The staff is known for being attentive and accommodating, often going above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable dining experience. Customers have praised the friendly and efficient service, with particular mentions of servers who were personable and provided excellent recommendations.
We are their last week, the food was delicious.. but the front desk young Girl was very rude they don't allow us to choose which both we wanted to...to feel comfortable... She said its not available and the server dont serve that area??????We dont understand that...so glad the server was helping us out... Costumers should be allowed to choose which set or both we want to feel comfortable... and She did it to the old couple too it's sad how she treats Costumer it doesn't made sense what she did .Costumer always wants to feel comfortable not what she want SPECIALLY there's a lot of vacant space around areas when you treat customers like that who wants to come back....you lose a lot of costumers...

The staff here are beyond amazing! Very attentive. Our appetizer took a little too long and our waitress took it off our bill as soon as she realized it. Had filet and lobster. Best lobster I've had in a while. Everything was delicious and they weren't even busy on a Friday night!

The food is always amazing, we normally have a wonderful experience mainly why we always come back and always tip well. our waiter we had must of been new, our order was incorrect multiple times. The waitress was very rude and unprofessional.I only had one refill causing my mouth to be dry and having to drink my husbands drink due to me almost choking. The waiter snatched my mom’s menu out of her hand when my mom was trying to explain our order and how it was incorrect . The waitress never came to check on our table as if she was annoyed when she did come back. At one point the hostess was helping out and was much of a help rather than our waitress was. We will not be back, we tried to see the positives of our service

Went here for my son's 18th birthday and we had a great time! We were here for a long time as well and the servers were so polite and even the owner at the end of the night was coming up and talking with us and having a good time!
Jes S — Google review
Didn't give it 1 star because the manager was very apologetic. Salad bowls were all dirty. Not just dirty but able to scrape dry food particles off the bowl in addition to wet food particles left behind from the dish washer. The salads were replaced, and the newly, preinspected bowls also had dried on food. That tells me it's been that way for a time and normal. Those were dinner salads. My mother got a large salad for her meal, and that bowl had food particles on it. I made sure the Mgr understood I did not want a discount or any other compensation. It wasn't about the money but rather the cleanliness of the restaurant. She made sure to give us vouchers for future visits. Seriously, I'm pretty sure those hit the trash. I can't give a biased opinion of the main course at this point. Will never go back. When we pulled in the parking lot around 6:30pm, I commented to my wife about the lack of vehicles at peak dinner time. Wondered if that was a sign. Apparently, it was.
Brian S — Google review
Service was delightful, everything else was a hit or miss. The Bloomin' Fried Shrimp was fantastic, it made the night! I could've ordered 3 servings of it and be more than satisfied compared to what follows. The bread was standard but each loaf was burnt on the bottom, some worse than others, and the Kingsland Pasta... just pass on it. The pasta was lukewarm and very al dente, and the sauce tasted like from a can. We sent back the steak, which in their defense we did order medium rare, but it was much more rare that we would have liked, not the staffs fault there and they were very helpful cooking it a bit more for us. For the price especially neither of us would recommend or order it again. Atmosphere was nice until a loud noise popped up,almost sounded like someone's car engine desperately trying to start, no big deal, and it stopped after a few minutes.. and then started back up again, whatever this sound was continued on and off the entire meal, very distracting and made it hard to hear each other. In the end we left with one headache and honestly a bit disappointed in our entrees, we probably won't come back to this location but the staff was lovely.

J Bistro Downtown-Sandusky offers a modern twist on classic American cuisine and cocktails in an elegant dining space with wood accents. While some diners have experienced long wait times and bland food, others have been pleasantly surprised by the exceptional vegan meal prepared by a dedicated vegan chef. The staff is praised for their helpfulness and warmth, creating a welcoming atmosphere despite occasional loudness.
We think this is the best restaurant in downtown Sandusky. Staff is kind and consistently good. The patio with live music is so fun. We’ve seen a singer-guitarist on two occasions. We’ve also been there in the winter when it’s decked out with a pretty Christmas tree. Wonderful food! Apps are fantastic! We loved the street corn dip and the crab cake special!

We had a wonderful experience at J Bistro on our Cedar Point trip. The food was fantastic and the setting was cozy and comfortable. Dress code leans more towards cocktail attire, but casual would be fine. It was too cold to enjoy the outdoor patio, but it looked to be a great experience on summer evenings with live music. The only slight ding in rating was that the service was a little slow, but what's the rush? Enjoy the experience.

Beautiful restaurant. We looked forward to returning as we have been here several times and enjoyed the experience. It was good on previous visits but…Last night, little to no service from our server. We started out with the Bruschetta. It was good. We ordered the zucchini fritters, but they were raw inside and we sent them back. The Chef Signature dish was made of Prime rib “medallions” and looked grey…the prime rib was actually cubed as if it were being prepped for a soup rather than an entree…over a ton of cubed undercooked potatoes and hollandaise sauce. It wasn’t good. Server never told us what the specials were and pretty much just walked away…never checked on us. Disinterested. My dish was so so. Chicken tasted like it had been par-cooked. We spent $87 and were disappointed so we won’t be back.
Candy B — Google review
Susie and staff took good care of us. Nice atmosphere in the dining room. Family owned business. Enjoyed the steak and homemade perogies.
Will G — Google review
The Good: The staff was nice, and they gave a complimentary birthday dessert. The Bad: The service was a little slow on a particularly slow Tuesday night. Got the prime rib hash which left a lot to be desired and was the most expensive entree beyond their steaks. The dish was perhaps the most disappointing dish I've had for the price. The hash was hard to eat because the pieces were about 1 square inch, you either had a bite of potato or a bite of prime rib. The prime rib was overcooked and potatoes undercooked which added to the difficulty eating the dish. Finally, the whole thing lacked any real seasoning beyond some lackluster hollandaise sauce. This restaurant is slightly more upscale and going out for a nice dinner you expect a certain ambiance. The restaurant decided to play loud pop music that made it almost impossible to hear the person across from you.
John W — Google review
I wouldn’t classify this restaurant as fine dining. We went on a Friday night and it was an extremely loud cafeteria like atmosphere. Service was slow. We ordered shrimp tacos as an appetizer and it was covered in shredded cheddar cheese. I’ve never seen a shrimp taco at a served this way. We ordered steaks and when our food came out they said they were out of mashed potatoes and served us mashed sweet potatoes which we don’t like. The server did offer to bring fries, but they never came until we finished our meal. The steak was cooked nice and tasted good. But for the price we paid and the experience we had, it wasn’t worth it.

Daly's Pub is a cozy establishment that offers a range of draft beers, delicious wings, and mouthwatering pizza. Its Irish-themed decor creates a comfortable atmosphere for patrons to enjoy their meals indoors or on the patio with a view of Lake Erie. This downtown pub has become a favorite among Sandusky locals and attracts visitors looking for a unique experience.
This sports bar hits all the high notes: great bar staff, excellent wait staff, beautifully decorated. You can sit outdoors, indoors, or at the bar. You’ll have a great time no matter where you are. Daly’s Pub is how bars should be. Daly’s Pub is the quintessential bar from TV shows and movies. It’s the place where you can spend 10 minutes or a few hours and you’ll feel like you belong there. The entire staff does their jobs expertly. The bartenders are attentive, even when it’s super busy. The wait staff is chill and professional. The kitchen nails the dishes and makes you want to come back. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Unbelievable! The meat was so tender and so flavorful. This may be the best meatloaf I’ve ever had in my life. The mashed potatoes were also excellent and complimented the meatloaf wonderfully. There are multiple entrances on either side of the building. This makes navigating in or out of the bar much easier. You don’t need to worry about people blocking a door or interrupting a conversation to enter/exit the pub. The outdoor seating is covered, which helps encourage you to go outside on a hot day. You can watch the hustle and bustle of the street or turn around to take in the pier area and Lake Erie. Daly’s Pub is a highlight of downtown Sandusky. It’s an absolute must-stop location.

Food is okay but not the best. The loaded fries have a nice crunch and have a side of sour cream and ranch. The reuban sandwich was good. However, the grilled chicken from the wrap tastes like it was just thawed as it had a weird texture. I would definitely come again but avoid the grilled chicken. I'm sure it has a good view during the busy season but we stayed inside.

I was told about Daly's through a friend of a local that owns a condominium the area... Hands down the best food and service in Sandusky! Israel and Jill were amazing for service and recommending food and drinks... this was in part of a much needed bro weekend before my deployment with my closest friends. As I write this review we are sitting back here at Daly's with Israel as our waiter... Go. Drink.. and be Merry!!! You will not be disappointed! -Matt

Day's Pub has a lot going for it. The location is solid, and the outdoor seating area is easily one of its best features—great for catching up with friends or winding down after a long day. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the drinks hit the mark, which made for an enjoyable experience overall. That said, the interior could use some attention. I get that it’s a historic building with plenty of character, but it’s definitely showing its age. A good deep clean and a bit of a refresh would go a long way in making the space feel more inviting. It’s not about losing the charm—just helping it shine a bit brighter.

The servers try their hardest but it doesn’t make up for the horrible food. I ordered the Ruben, the server said they were famous for that. So bad. So so bad. It only took an hour to get our food and by the time we got it, drunks took over the patio and made the entire situation hostile. I appreciate our server, she did the best she could but this restaurant needs to be shut down. The food, when you get it is worse than bad.

Chicken and Waffles have the most unique BBQ maple syrup accompanying the dish! Our server Brooke was more than helpful and her hospitality is what we need more of at restaurants. First visit, breakfast on a Saturday at 8:30am. Started getting busy but we was quickly seated. Cute decor and our server was great. My silverware was dirty so we did have to exchange that. I ordered an omelet and spouse ordered peach crepe. Also had a White Russian mimosa it was good. I felt the prices were a bit high and dining room was a little too crunched where you basically are too close to next dining table which makes it hard to even have conversation with your company.

Friendly staff and good service. Even being busy, our wait wasn't too long. The kids loved the outside games while we waited on a table. Our food was OK. Pancakes were great, we would definitely order any of our flavors again. The kids had chocolate chip and the rainbow sprinkles kinds. Adults had Blueberry muffin and cinnamon swirl ones. Delicious! We ordered the cinnamon roll to share, it was just OK. Ours was pretty dark and dry, not sure we would do that again. Coffee menu was impressive. We didn't order a Mimosa, but the whole drink menu sounded great.

Really clean and nice restaurant. We went Saturday morning, around 7 am, and it had maybe two cars in the lot, so not crowded at all. It started to get a little more crowded, but definitely not crazy, around 8 when we left. The food was delicious and fresh tasting. The portion sizes were good. The staff was friendly and attentive and quick. I'd definitely go back to this place if I'm in the area.

Very cute establishment. Customer service let's start with that AMAZING!! From the person seating us to our waitress Mia. Food: **2 People ordered the America Belgian waffles (Delicious) ** 2 People ordered pancakes eggs and bacon combo. My son said it was one of the best pancakes he have ever had >> That bacon though. Yeah trash... it snapped like a biscuit. Maybe it was an off day but that's how all our bacon were. ** My daughter had the Nutella Crepes.... it was amazing, just wished she did in fact get "fresh" strawberries instead of what ever crumpled of piece that were at the bottom of the condiment container and I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. ** I ordered the mimosa of the day (blackberry lemonade) would have been perfect but it was flat. ** My son said the hot chocolate wasn't the best So many small things that could have made this experience a 5/5. Maybe next try!! We also had a 7 person group and gratuity was automatic. I did tip extra because Mia was extremely pleasant. Pointers: Many servers do have long hair and those things get away quickly even when the hair is pulled back. Maybe a hat or hairnet?👌

Excellent choice! Most wine selections in town, tasting, and more! They even make food, and have great pairings. I'm not good with wine, but they make me want to explore!

Beautiful Greek/Mediterranean grocery/bakery/restaurant. Impeccably clean, and the food was delicious. We ate outside in a cute little outdoor seating area. The gyro and Greek salad were delicious.

Nestled within the Sandusky Mall, Cheers Sports Bar & Grill is a charming, old-school venue that perfectly captures the essence of a classic American sports bar. With an inviting atmosphere and numerous TVs showcasing live games, it's an ideal spot for sports enthusiasts to gather. The extensive drink menu features a variety of draft beers alongside bottled options, ensuring there's something for everyone. Patrons rave about the delicious food offerings at Cheers.
Going again tonight! All the charm you can expect from a place called Cheers is here. The young ladies were operating the place flawlessly. Table seating and a bar all had great service. From my corner of the bar I could see all were having a good time with a decent crowd rotating in & out nicely with all seeming to have a good time! My food was promptly served, hot and delicious. I loved visiting the old Bull & Finch Pub in Boston; but when I’m in Sandusky~ I’m going to Cheers!

Well, not the first time that's for sure. Kinda surprised it's been around as long as it has. With that being said there's a reason they have made it this long, good food, good service! We stopped in to have dinner and did just that. Had my heart set on wings but went with the other special that was Chilli Mac and chez!! Came with a salad and a roll for a great price $9.00!! That's extremely reasonable considering the portion. The service was top-notch!! Though I can't remember the bartender's name she was nice, friendly, and knowledgeable!! Thanks for a good dining experience!! Of course, we will swing back through!!!

Stopped here after our daughter’s softball game. The Philly Cheese Steak was amazing!!! Molly and Jim had awesome service and never left our drinks empty! Great music playing on the jukebox too. Highly recommend!!!

Went here not knowing how amazing it would be. I took a look at the online menu and thought, yeah that sounds good. Boy was I wrong it was AWESOME. The waitress was so sweet. We had saurkraut balls and I've had them at other restaurants but these put others to shame. They were Great. Tater Kegs are on the menu also. We discovered these at a fair a couple weeks ago and they were cooked good here too. Alot in the order. Had the Chicken Philly special. Again it didn't disappoint. The most unique thing they had was Turtle soup, an old recipe from another restaurant in town. You must try it. I will be back again the hubby had left overs that I brought home and they air fried great. Thanks again Cheers for ruining other restaurants by being amazing.

I dont come here often but ever since my first time here I have never left here disappointed by any means. Service is top knotch. Food is about the same as the average bar. Very clean inside. Very laid back as well. 5 stars all the way.
Bothrops A — Google review
Food was pretty good, but the time it took to get our food was very slow. Especially considering they were not busy when we visited. Atmosphere is typical of a dive bar.
Jeff H — Google review
We came upon Cheers doing a nearby food near me search from the Waterpark. Molly's customer service was outstanding. She had to guide us in as we couldn't find it initially with the gps. When we arrived, she greeted us. She was efficient, on point, polite, and personable. Wish we could take her back to Cleveland with us, LOL. Service like this deserves an immediate RAISE as it can seem like a lost art. Thank you, MOLLY for restoring our faith in Good People, Great Service!!! 🤗

Italian restaurant
After leaving Cedar Point, we stumbled upon The Club Restaurant & Bar, a place with a kitchen that stays open until 10pm. We were relieved to find it just in time and worried about arriving late, but the staff was accommodating and delighted to serve us after our long day at the amusement park. The food was delicious, and even the chef personally brought out our meals. This charming vintage establishment had unique ceiling fans powered by one motor connected by belts.
The building was originally an orphanage. Then it was a private club. In the last several years it evolved into a great bar and grill. I had stuffed peppers and Cole slaw, both were excellent. Service was good and the ambiance was very interesting. Paintings and old photos cover the walls. Downstairs is another bar with couches as well as booths for private parties. The outside ding area is 2 stories.

The service was truly excellent — 10/10. Our server was kind, attentive, and did everything she could to make things right. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the same standard. The pasta was badly overcooked, and even after sending it back, it came out just as mushy the second time. We really appreciated that the dish was taken off the bill and that a complimentary meal was offered — very professional handling. However, for what it was, the meal was too expensive. The food quality simply didn’t justify the price. Sadly, even with the great service, I wouldn’t come back.
Pat R — Google review
I was greatly surprised…Previous posts were pretty much spot on. Perfectly cooked (requested rare) Midwest Ribeye with chef’s potatoes and Asparagus. The server missed my salad until the end. I wish the bartender had been a little more attentive to my empty glass both times, but other than that it was a great experience. I think the ambience and choices of seating is phenomenal. I chose to sit at the bar as it was the middle of the dinner rim and I was a single. I’d love to bring my lovely lady here. Outdoor seating in the couches is especially exceptional, the upper outside deck is equally appealing. Another great meal on PRP Aviation’s charter supporting the NHRA!

Celebrated my son’s 20th birthday this evening.. Our server was TOP NOTCH! She didn’t miss a beat. She went above and beyond for our party! The best service I’ve had in a long time. Thanks babe ❤️

Wife and I took a trip to put-in-bay and Cedar point, made a weekend out of it. We wanted to have one nice dinner, and we sure picked the right spot. I was after a nice big steak... and for a tomahawk, $55 dollars is a steal. I got it blackened and asked for a horseradish cream sauce. They knocked it out of the park!! Thanks for being exactly what we wanted. My wife got a New york strip. The sides were also delicious. It was a great experience and also a cool place.
Joe S — Google review
I went there for Dinner with extended family. Kylie our server was friendly and professional. She went out of her way to make sure our dining experience was pleasant. Our party of Nine did not have anything less than great food. From Tomahawk Steak to Prime Rib Friday specials, all were cooked to their culinary perfection. One member of the party remarked, "Tell the warden I'm ready to go". If you are staying at cedar point or traveling to Sandusky this is a must stop location.

We came out for My son’s 20th bday we were a lil saddened because they didn’t have the tomahawk steaks because that’s what we came for! But we indeed ended up having a great time and all 6 of our party had an amazing meal! the filets were beyond amazing! our waitress was super friendly! I’m so happy we found this place !

Brewery
Bait House Brewery, located in Sandusky, Ohio, has a unique history as it was originally a bait and tackle shop known as Herb's Bait Shop. Established in 2017, this microbrewery pays homage to the property's fishing heritage while offering a tropical escape on the shores of the North Coast. The brewery is owned by a husband and wife who are passionate about craft beer and have created a pet-friendly atmosphere with an inviting ambiance.
We were traveling through town on our cross country trip. Soo friendly and inviting. Maddie, the bartender was amazing. We recommend this place for both locals and travelers. The best!

My review of this place is…LOVE the atmosphere every beer I had was awesome but the food was too big of portions and bland. I got the Walleye bites, which was the best I have had. However the Perch sandwich and the salmon was a bit bland other than that everything else was amazing! They weren’t able to do growlers or I would have gotten one also their merch was very limited…however I would definitely come back!

Lindsey was wonderful help and very energetic and kind and attentive to everyone!. The beer and food was great! Very good experience. Pretty expressive though.

First time at the Baithouse Brewery and we will definitely be back very soon! The food was incredible, we did the weekend brunch. Craft beer made in-house. Enjoyed some beer mimosas with brunch. Service was awesome, enjoyed conversation with the bartender / owner. Dog friendly 🐾 during the summer. Sit at the bar look over the water and enjoy.
Cindy E — Google review
I have to agree with Johnny Sac’s opinion. We have enjoyed coming to Bait House for good beer and burgers, but this last time was a real disappointment. The burgers were smaller, less juice and just felt lower quality than previous visits. The burger was very similar to a Big Mac and not what I expect from a brew pub. Decent fries. Not sure if it’s an effort to keep prices low but I hope this is temporary because it’s a good vibe here and staff are really friendly.
Ola A — Google review
We were looking for somewhere to eat after a morning of boating and for some reason this place didn't come up in our search but as we were passing by we decided to stop. My husband who doesn't like sitting outside at restaurants loved this place. He got the fried chicken club and I got the pub burger. Both were very good as were the fries. We will definitely be back next time we're in Sandusky.

food was good. beer was great the best Octoberfest I've had so far this year. only thing keeping it from five stars was somebody from the kitchen came out very rudely to the bartender about putting an order in at 7:59 when the kitchen closes at 9:00 because they wanted to leave early. makes you uncomfortable as a customer. very unprofessional.

Taco restaurant
OH Taco is a rustic Mexican street food eatery with creative cocktails pairing classic dishes with innovative drinks. The tacos are average but the apps and drinks are amazing! The waitstaff is friendly and the location is great.
Oh TAco: Trendy & Funky, but Disappointing I've visited Oh TAco a few times with friends, and unfortunately, my experiences have been inconsistent and ultimately disappointing. My first visit left a positive impression with excellent service and delicious crafted margaritas. The street tacos were decent, but the drinks were the highlight. However, my second visit for my birthday was a letdown. We waited 45 minutes for our first round of drinks, and the quality was noticeably lower than my previous experience. The food was just okay, and the service felt rushed. On my last visit, we decided to try a full dinner. The drinks arrived faster this time and were good, but the food was a major disappointment. It didn't taste authentically Mexican, and three out of four of us got sick afterward. Overall, Oh TAco's trendy and funky atmosphere is appealing, but the inconsistent service and subpar food quality have left a negative impression. It's unfortunate because this place has potential, but until they improve the food and service, I'll be skipping it on my future visits to Sandusky.

OH Taco is a lot of fun. The indoor bar area is decorated really spectacularly. The vibes when you walk in are definitely on display. The outdoor area keeps the party going for hours. Music, tacos, and alcohol make for some pretty wild days and excellent stories. The bartenders are splendid. Very down-to-earth and talkative. Whether you’re a party of one or a dozen, you’ll get your drink served with a smile and good conversation. As far as food, I only tried their version of a Reese’s pie with M&M’s. It. Was. Awesome! It was so decadent but without being overly so. The portion was big but my stomach wanted seconds. Thankfully, my brain knew to keep it in moderation, especially with some adult beverages. OH Taco is a fun place to spend some time, have a few laughs, dance a bit, or just enjoy the ambiance.
Mappening R — Google review
Food was absolutely god awful. Everything was soaked in lime juice that’s all i could taste. All four tacos tasted like that had a gallon of lime juice dumped on them before serving. Jalapeño poppers were good very similar to Arby’s but double the price. Also i paid 40 dollars for a double of buffalo trace. Server was nice and i didn’t want to complain much to her because it wasn’t her fault but she was still helpful.
Jarvis J — Google review
First time at OH Taco tonight. Crowded when we first got there at 6:30, ordered drinks and appetizers. Ordered main entrees by 7. By 8:15, place is completely cleared out, no food yet and no one had checked in or followed up with us. Had to go to the bar to ask about our food and remind them we were still there and waiting. Got the food to go. Told us we would all get a 25% discount for our troubles. Surprise, surprise no one did. Awful awful experience.
Lauren B — Google review
First visit to Oh -Taco was excellent. So when my son came to visit from out of town, we drove from Cleveland to Sandusky expecting same excellent service. Waited over a hour for food, with at least 10 minutes intervals for each dish . The food was lukewarm the tacos were breaking up . Serving fatty meat unexceptable. When asked for manager on duty to resolve the situation , was told there wasn’t one . Other customers had similar problems . With the same response from the staff. The amount we paid for the food just to be wasted .not happy Question why wasn’t there a manager on duty or someone to resolve these kind of issues. Yes I can be reached to discuss this problem. Yes the waiter got a good tip

The aesthetic of this place was nice. We thought it would be a good place to have a bite to eat while waiting for the ferry to go to Put-n-bay. It took a while before anyone came to seat us or provide menus. We just ordered 2 tacos & they took at least 15 minutes with only one other table in the place. The tacos were really tiny. My fried avocado taco was missing the main ingredient- avocados! It tasted like the grease they had been frying things in, all week. My husband’s barbacoa had almost no meat in it either. These guys could be raking it in if their quality of food was even decent.very disappointed!
Anjali K — Google review
We were in town for the amusement park. Looked online for some nearby places to eat. The pics on their Google page looked good. Like actual Mexican food. It was by the far the worst "Mexican" food we've had. The "pico" was a bowl of chopped tomatoes. When our tacos came, I asked for salsa. The waitress genuinely seemed confused. I kept saying SALSA, and she'd say "we have pico." No napkins, no utensils, and no breakdown of our tab. It was stupid expensive for that quality of food. Hopefully other travelers will see this review and look elsewhere.

It's a lovely rooftop bar overlooking the lake. It would be hard to screw it up, and they succeeded in not doing so. We went immediately to the roof and the bartender was fun and attentive. We didn't try the food. But had a great conversation with a couple in that area.

The atmosphere at this place is amazing. The daiquiris are AMAZING! good experience besides the bartender was not nice AT ALL! He didn’t greet us at all when we came in, was very short, had an attitude. He was kinda short, had a man bun. Would recommend the mangers get him to get his act straight.

What a great location for a bar. The service was top notch. The bartender gave good advice as to what drinks they would recommend as to our taste buds. The bar has a great atmosphere. You should stop by for the Sunday brunch or get some tacos and bring them up to the rooftop deck. It is a great few looking over the lake. They have a great selection of craft beer on hand also. You cannot go wrong with their mixed drink concoctions either. Parking can be a bit of a hassle if you are there during the summer busy season.

Bartender was super rude after tipping him $5 bucks a drink. The restroom signs are not lite up, so it's very hard to tell the woman's and men's apart..this needs to be taken care of so people don't walk up to the restrooms and realize what bathroom it is. Ery rude staff and people in this bar. Good luck being treated with respect in this bar, it doesn't matter if you're a good tipper or not! I hate the agenda in this bar. Do not go unless you want to get treated like your just a number

As I was passing through Sandusky, I stopped by your bar to check out the place. I'm sorry to say, but I was really disappointed with how the place was. I was there for 3 hours before someone said HI to me. Then after about 20 minutes of talking to this guy, he told me that he wanted to meet someone "local" so that he could have a place to spend the weekend. I guess when I told him that I was from Arizona, he wasn't really interested in meeting someone. If this is any indication of the type of men who hang out there, I want no part of it. I was hoping to meet someone who could show me around Sandusky and maybe go out to dinner with. But I was sadly mistaken. Oh well, I guess next time I'm in Sandusky, I'll just hang out at the cemetery. At least there I might find a stiff one.

They kicked my friend out for wearing black sweatpants. Apparently there is a dress code, but there’s no signs and they don’t have a website to let people know. The guy checking IDs let my friend in and then another employee stopped us when we were already inside. The funny part is that another guy was wearing a pajama onesie and he didn’t get kicked out? Super ridiculous rules.

I rolled in on a Thursday night which turned out to be pretty slow with just one other patron there. Price for a Bud Light was about a buck more than I expected to pay considering so I drank it and hit the street. I suppose I'll have to give it another chance on some Friday night just to satisfy my curiosity.

Barrel House Saloon is a popular spot, especially during bike week. The atmosphere is lively with fast service and attentive bar staff. The live music adds to the great experience, as bands play above you. The drinks are reasonably priced and the staff is friendly. We stopped in for a couple drinks but wish we would have been hungry! The place smelled great. They have wood fire pizza and lots of good appetizers to choose from. Salads, sandwiches and kids menu too. They have an outside patio in the front and a “garage bar” behind the building. So lots of seating choices. The staff were great and friendly. They have a great cocktail and beer selection too. We got a beer in a DORA cup so we could walk around outside. That’s so nice too! We will be back to try the food and the coffee side next time. The outdoor patio is pet friendly as well. Huge bonus!

Sat on the bottom floor inside. Offered waters right as we sat, ordered our food about 5 minutes later, then waited about 15 minutes for it to arrive. Once it arrived, the pizza, "Bees Knees" wasn't cooked fully and was caked with flour on the bottom (family rated 3.5/10). Then my sister got her Bee Sting Wings (she rated 8/10), tangy yet very sweet. She also got fries, which is a classic and we're crunchy (she rated 8/10). We ordered a side of House Mac n Cheese for the table and I got a side with my burger (family rated 9.5/10). Speaking of burger. Loved it. Best ive had in a while (I rate 10/10). Step dad got a "Perfect Marg" (5/10) and a "Triple Jam" (6.5/10). Mom ordered a "Triple IPA" (7.5/10). Also, the waitress seemed like she needed some help the entire time, she seemed very rushed. But overall, this was a good visit for me and my little sister, but for the adults, not so much. If you order a pizza, MAKE SURE its cooked thru all the way and NOT caked with flour on the bottom.
Kennedy R — Google review
Great pub experience. They have many different beers on draft and a large selection of canned beers from other breweries. The food was very good. They have a really good happy hour with 50% off some of the appetizers and their smaller pizzas.

Great spot for my visit to Cedar Point. Food was great and priced just right. Great tasting beers depending on your preference. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We sat in the "garage" which has access to the back patio with only a short flight of stairs. It was nice to enjoy the weather with the ability to step inside during the rain. Thank you.

This place has gone consistently downhill since they’ve opened. You’ll never have the same server or bartender twice and there’s no consistency with the food. The portions get smaller, the quality goes down and the price goes up. The 🙄$20🙄walleye sandwich had the saddest, smallest piece of fish you’ve ever seen. I ordered a high noon - was served a white claw - and charged for both. My friends both had the club, one asked for no bacon, the other no avocado. 1 sandwich came with both and the other neither. It’s a beautiful spot, but seriously don’t waste your time or money. Edit: the most recent visit was over the 5/11 weekend, however the problems are systemic. I’m local in Sandusky and have visited numerous times since the grand opening. The service and food have been steadily declining while the prices have gone up up up. Will not be back and will recommend avoiding.
Mary W — Google review
Stopped in for a beer while in Sandusky, place is easy to find with some street parking. The inside is surprisingly big with several rooms with tables and a large bar. Bartenders were very friendly, the beer list was a bit sparse (they were out of some items) but still plenty to try. The IndiGoat was great and the More Sheep was nice and crisp. Overall great beers, we will definitely be back to try the food!

Not the best interior decor, but wing night is worth it. Jerk chicken sauce is amazing.

As I attempted to piece together the events of last night, I went back to Buds and I was greeted warmly as they were trying to do the same. I ordered a virgin bloody Mary and ordered a gyro and fries. Everything was AWESOME! Thank you!!
