1Novotel Poitiers Site du Futuroscope

Hotel
Novotel Poitiers Site du Futuroscope is a modern hotel that offers streamlined rooms with free Wi-Fi, a cafe, a bar, and an outdoor pool. It's an ideal choice for families, as it provides large N Room rooms, a play area for children, and a fully renovated heated outdoor pool in the summer. The hotel also features a fitness center and spacious restaurant or bar where guests can enjoy gourmet goodies.
As always, Tesla superchargers have to be hunted down! The hotel reception is excellent. Very pleasant coffee and croissants during early morning car charge.

Hotel is well located if you plan to go to the Futurscope, not much else is around there (by foot). Clean hotel, lovely pool and outside area. Good parking. Nice bar and restaurant (although we didn't eat there but it was busy). Our room was a good size and clean - would recommend.
Sara S — Google review
Apparently the hotel doesn't even restock the mini bar anymore. The TVs are still very old and you cannot use anything such as Chromecast etc. Breakfast was good. I had a good time.
Snail M — Google review
It was really great. We just stayed overnight on our way to Spain. The hotel is well situated (right next to the highway, of course close to Futuroscope and supermarkets) The staff was very attentive and if anything I would improve the breakfast. The variety was great but for instance the scrambled eggs were clearly a Pulver synthetic mixture that in my opinion is better not to serve ( if you cannot budget it, don't serve this.) Otherwise there were plenty of things to choose from. In summary I can recommend this Hotel.
Arancha R — Google review
Hotel is very close to Futuroscope. Pool and the area around it are very nice (green, furniture with nice quality). But I get room in the basement- with windows on grass level. I only saw soil and asphalt from there. The whole floor looks like it needs refurbishing very much. I am also silver member of Accor loyalty program so should get some perks like welcome drink but no one remembered about that. I’m not drinking :-) so don’t care but I just see there are some issues to solve with the team. Kitchen was closed during my stay. There was „no cook” :-(
Tomasz M — Google review
A good modern hotel. Our room and bathroom were clean. The mattress was neither very soft nor hard. The shower was new and had good water pressure. It was a 6-7 minute walk to the main entrance of Futuroscope. The breakfast was of a good quality and variety. We specifically appreciated that it was plastic-free. There are a sufficient number of parking spots. The hotel also has an outdoor pool of a decent size. All in all, we enjoyed our short stay.
Petra N — Google review
The hotel felt a little tired, could do with an upgrade to decor. Food came out quickly, but getting it ordered took ages as only one member of staff could place orders and take payment. However, it is brilliantly placed for Futuroscope .
Julie S — Google review
Looks good on the photos but it is quite grubby and run down with air con that you can't alter so boiling in the rooms too. Try elsewhere.

Nestled in the heart of the Futuroscope Technopole, Hôtel Mercure Poitiers Site du Futuroscope is a versatile conference hotel that caters to both leisure and business travelers. The contemporary decor and spacious rooms make it an ideal choice for families, with accommodations large enough for six people. Business guests can take advantage of the 750 square meters of function spaces, free Wi-Fi, and a fitness room.
Very impressed by Morgan and his colleagues. Very professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean with plenty of free parking and significantly better than the Novotel opposite. We would recommend.

**Review for Hotel Jules Verne** I recently stayed at Hotel Jules Verne and had a pleasant experience overall. The rooms are compact but very clean and well-maintained. However, I did encounter an issue with the air conditioning. While it was functional, it was clearly not in the best condition, which could be a problem during hotter days. The Wi-Fi at the hotel is surprisingly good, especially by French standards, which made it easy to stay connected during my stay. The reception staff speak excellent English, making check-in and any inquiries smooth and hassle-free. On the other hand, the breakfast staff do not speak English, which might be a bit challenging for non-French speakers. Breakfast is priced at €13.50 per person and, while it's decent, it's not particularly impressive. It's sufficient for a quick meal to start the day but don't expect a lavish spread. Overall, Hotel Jules Verne is a good option for a one-night stay. It offers the basic amenities you need with friendly service, despite a few minor shortcomings.
Koekiemonster K — Google review
The Hotel is not really nearby the futuroscope, 15-20min walk. I guess its ok in summer, but with kids in winter, if you dont have a car, its a nightmare. Also the hotel service is very basic, one person for the entire hotel reception. The rooms need refurbishment, and the only restaurant in it, is catastrophic. The management seriously needs to take a notebook and travel abroad to understand how bad it compares with almost anything, anywhere else in the world.
Bruno F — Google review
Nice stay overall. Staffs were polite, room was clean and beds comfy. Air conditioner worked fine. Breakfast with fresh local produce, in a large dining hall with 180 degree view. For a 4-star hotel, amenities were limited by US /Asia standards: no slippers, no toothbrush /paste nor body soap. I paid 14 euros for a few small bottles of water. If you are coming by train to visit the amusement park, definitely use the luggage transfer service at train station. Just drop your bags there and go straight to the park. They'll move the luggage to the hotel, which is a good 20-25 minute away by foot.
Jean W — Google review
Overall a bad experience. The restaurant was closed because of low season, if I would have known before I wouldn't have booked here. On the 4th floor it was unacceptably noisy all night, some kind of machine noise.. it was like trying to sleep in a factory. And in the early morning, 5am we asked for a coffee before driving the rest of the day.. Answer was NO, NOT ENOUGH COFFEE! Very poor service, we will never book again.
Fabian H — Google review
People on the restaurant was great and ready to help, but after dinner, the bar tender was very stupid because we have ask for a drink 15 minutes before bar closed. It was very not friendly. It was speaking stupid and arrogant to the people still having their beers on the bar. Not advised to people that want to have a relaxing drink with college's after a long day traveling.
Hilario C — Google review
Nice hotel right beside futuroscope (10 mins walk). Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent. -1 star because the restaurant under cooked our steak and burgers despite asking for them to be well done and they still came back pink after sending them back to be further cooked.
Plunkett C — Google review
We went there for dinner at the restaurant, La Cuisine de Marie. The decor is cozy & pleasant; we were welcomed & seated by friendly staff with courteous table service throughout the meal. As starters, we had foie gras & fish terrine followed by duck in honey & ginger sauce and fish soufflé in lobster sauce. To finish on a sweet note, we had the nougat glacé which revealed to be a great choice. On the overall, it was a lovely experience & we highly recommend it.

Château le Clos de la Ribaudière is a sophisticated hotel housed in an 18th-century mansion, offering a luxurious experience with its high-end restaurant, pool, and cocktail bar. Situated just 0.15km from the city center of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, it provides a verdant retreat along the river near Poitiers and the Futuroscope theme park.
Perfect stop for us and our two young kids on our drive from London to Toulouse. They made kids really welcome without making a big deal of it (lovely kids menu, free breakfast for kids, beds set up in exactly the right configuration when we arrived.) Eating on the terrace is a real treat and the pool is lovely. Lots of EV charging, comfy cool rooms. The staff really made us feel welcome and were so helpful. Our baby was sick on the last night and when I explained to reception that our cleaning efforts might have been insufficient they couldn’t have been more gracious and sympathetic. Would love to go back!

Beautiful setting and lovely place to stay. The food was very nice, but disappointed that for 90 euro, there was not a fish and a meat course, especially as the lobster was very small in the fish dish. The course with raspberry sorbet and confit tomatoes, was not a good idea - remove the tomatoes! Breakfast had a good choice and all the staff were lovely.
Louise M — Google review
Nice location next to Futuroscope. High end hotel. However, disappointing service, they do not clean the rooms, while this should be expected from a 4 stars hotel.
Chris S — Google review
Had a lovely stay would recommend just the whirlpool was way to cold, not as warm as it is in other well priced hotels.
Kiwi C — Google review
Warm welcome, we were back after a couple of years. An oasisi od beautiful France so near to the modernity od the Futurescope. Good dinners and wines. A bit more fantasy at breakfast, perhaps but excellent oranges to freshly aqueaae yourself with a funny, and terribly effective, manual machine.
Franco C — Google review
Beautiful setting and comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly checking us in. Apart from the front desk, most people were not too comfortable speaking English but everything were conveyed quite well. The food in the restaurant was also quite good. The rooms were nice and comfortable although they didn’t have an iron in there but I think the higher grade rooms does have this. The scenery around the buildings are very beautiful with the river right next to it.

Spa, Piscine, Sauna cost extra charge. Service of dinner restaurant is quite slow. Breakfast presentation is poor. Not the food but at the table and the convenience... 😕

A beautiful hotel with good staff and a superb kitchen. Best food we had on our French trip, that's saying something.

Nestled conveniently near the airport, ibis Styles Poitiers Nord is a modern budget hotel that promises a delightful stay. Just a short drive from popular attractions like Futuroscope and the Mega CGR Theater, this hotel offers easy access to local sights. Guests can unwind by taking a dip in the seasonal outdoor pool or renting bicycles for some exploration. The property features complimentary WiFi throughout, ensuring you stay connected during your visit.
It was a night stop during our road trip from Germany till North of Spain. The price was good compared to the area average and the location was good, not far away from the motorway and restaurants close by. The room has a double bed and sofa bed for the kids, enough for the sleep. We didn’t try the breakfast but kids were happy to see that there is a small area for them and an arcade video game free of charge.
Ester P — Google review
Very basic hotel. Beds were comfortable and clean but no air-con, no safe, no fridge and no tea/coffee maker. There is an in-house restaurant that offers a menu that's a bit pretentious given the hotel's own standard. But not to worry, there are some great eateries within walking distance, plus the ever present fast food burger chains. The hotel is perfectly adequate for an overnight stop en route to your final destination and, given the price, the inadequacies in comparison to other hotels is understandable.
Ginger N — Google review
Very friendly and helpful staff. When I lost my wallet at a place nearby, they immediately offered to help out. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Our kids really enjoyed the pool. We would definitely come back here.
Annemieke R — Google review
Nothing to much trouble for this hotel. Easy check in, nice room with plenty of space for two, great evening meal, excellent night's sleep. Good choice of breakfast
Bob E — Google review
Stopped one night on the way to UK, from Spain. The hotel was very convenient, just off the A10 motorway. Staff very friendly and helpful, able to speak English and explain everything. Room was clean and well equipped, sadly no tea coffee making facilities in the room but otherwise very good. Breakfast in the morning, was continental and good, easily filled us up. The hotel restaurant open for dinner till 10pm, also a Burger King and other restaurant nearby.
Tony L — Google review
A good area and easy to find. Very clean, a lovely restaurant and bar, and a pool, with decking to sit and enjoy a drink. The food in the restaurant was good, but we thought it expensive for what we chose, but our son enjoyed the fresh burger, and I enjoyed the cocktails, ...so not all bad!
Tracy Y — Google review
We were on our way back home and had to take break before continuing our long trip. I found this Hotel with swimming pool (opens on June, I know it now 😮) , breakfast and parking included. At the reception Ommarhy gave us a great welcome, he was always smiling and could answer all our questions (like the swimming pool was close in the time of the year we arrived), you could see he enjoys his job and that's wonderful. The room was clean. The next morning we went for our breakfast and it was quite poorly. A few pieces of bread, no much to put on top, no fruit, etc. Didn't left hungry but this was definitely not what we expected (on our way to our holiday had another Ibis Styles with great breakfast buffet in Tours). I also have to mention the common areas smelled like pee, specially next to the arcade and around the kids table. The smell was impregnated on the carpet.
Laura H — Google review
Location is convenient but parking is small and not secure. Checkin very good and staff helpful. Room was a good size and clean which always matters to me. Mattress was semi comfy to so bonus!Typical ibis for me so far. Very good overall. Would stay again.

Ibis budget Poitiers Nord Futuroscope is a budget-friendly hotel located just 1 km from the Futuroscope Attraction Park and 1.5 km from the Exhibition Centre. The air-conditioned rooms feature flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi access throughout the property. Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast every morning, and there's a French restaurant conveniently located nearby. The hotel offers various room configurations to accommodate different needs, including options for single, double, twin, or triple occupancy.
Clean and very functional room. Kid loved the bunk bed! Very reasonably priced. Plenty of parking and EV charging available. Restaurants nearby. Booking reference is your code for self check in (not mentioned in their confirmation email) during hours when reception is closed. You get a code that you use on a keypad to get into your room and the main front door (no physical key or keycard). Very practical and for a budget hotel is actually very good.
Omar K — Google review
I stayed at the Ibis Budget Poitiers recently and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my room. It was extremely small, barely enough space to move around comfortably. To make things worse, the room was unbearably hot. Even with the windows open, it didn’t cool down, making it very difficult to sleep. For a budget hotel, I didn’t expect luxury, but I did expect a bit more comfort. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend staying here based on this experience.
Laura I — Google review
Late booking which did not update the hotel system. Made to pay for my room again which was refunded a few days later. I wasted 20 mins at check in because over zealous staff wouldnt accept proof of hotel.com payment
David D — Google review
Only problem was we had a two night stay used our towels which were not replaced when the room was cleaned after the first night
Cyril N — Google review
We chose this hotel because it was cheap and walking distance to futuroscope. Rooms were ok size, relatively well sound proofed, with lots of sockets. The bed was comfortable, heating worked, window could be opened. Not much storage just a few hangers and a shelf/desk for putting everything. I absolutely hated the bathroom or lack thereof. Toilet had its own cubicle. The shower was a cubicle too which you enter from the room. The sink was in the room. As I said, I really don't like this set up. We had breakfast every morning, very basic but it was ok. Fresh bread and viennoiseries on the weekend, on Monday they served Sunday's leftovers. All staff members were incredibly nice and friendly and helpful.
Ivana J — Google review
It's a while since I stayed in an ibis budget and they were a bit shabby. Now refurbished with comfier beds, better shower rooms and much improved breakfast, they are much better.
Tom F — Google review
This is a cheap hotel located in an industrial location, which is ok for a stop over if you are traveling. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The service was both friendly and helpful. Pets allowed for a fee. For the cost it's a good and inexpensive overnight option if you are not too fussy about the drab location, there are a couple of restaurants very close by but didn't use these so unable to comment.
SYD H — Google review
Unfortunately, there is no less than one star. . bad service . I had to pay twice, once online and the other time when I arrived after midnight, they claim that the online payment did not arrive. And when I came in the evening I had to wait two hours for the princess of the hotel to wake up and open the door. And then the drama of work begins and she doesn't know how to let us in. And in the morning we had to deal with another bunch of at work and they don't want a refund. And that's all nothing with the bad rooms that don't look like the pictures. And the hotel smelled dirty. And the bathrooms do old and look not nice

Kyriad Poitiers Hotel - Jules Verne offers playfully themed rooms inspired by the famous adventure novelist, Jules Verne. The hotel provides room service, a restaurant, a bar, and pet-friendly rooms. It also features a pool table for entertainment. Guests can enjoy air-conditioning, a 24-hour desk, shuttle services, and meeting facilities.
Family room is perfect for 1 night stay. Was clean, good beds, not expensive. If you stay longer, you might need more space in the room.
M.D. K — Google review
Rooms are nice yet small. Breakfast was horrible, very few options, nothing hot but sausages and no eggs!!! To avoid the breakfast at all cost, very packed and low quality...one of the worst we had!!! Very disappointing...
Baddak A — Google review
Very poor. Restaurant closed and therefore unable to use (sit in) communal areas. Walk or drive to other places for meals. Poor provision of tea/coffee in room, poor selection in vending machine.
Lady A — Google review
People in the reception are very unfriendly and incompetent. WIFI in the room didn’t work at all and even not in the hotel reception. Rooms are not so great very small and uncomfortable. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel everywhere outside was nicer and probably better. The location was very good next to Futuroscope and the air conditioning was working properly.
Skuniak P — Google review
Service desk top, room ok, good stop over for 4 person family. Very nice restaurant.
W.A. M — Google review
Beds where comfortable and the room isolated sound well. The water pressure in the shower was top, top, top! And there where plenty of outlets to charge stuff. The hotel itself is kind of boring and generic but it does the job. The staff is very friendly and efficient when it comes to both check in and check out, even with a big crowd checking in right before midnight.
S — Google review
The location is convenient since it is just close to the amusement park. However the toilet in the room was awful, with the strong urine smell, which is unbearable. It had almost no difference than those public toilets in France. For the breakfast, the food was ok but the flow for people to get in and start to get the food was not fluid at all.
Joyce C — Google review
The room was clean and tidy. Shower has no real pressure and is small. Breakfast is good but the plates are ridiculously small. I would prefer the bathroom separate to the room but it's all open plan. The bed is hard. Overall I expected more for the money.

The hotel offers simple rooms with air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and private bathrooms. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and parking during their stay. Great treatment. Sarah and Steven we’re incredibly welcoming and helped me with late night check in problems and morning hospitality. Strongly recommend when visiting the area.
Victor R — Google review
I didn't dislike the hotel. Ì was VERY basic but clean. It was a place to sleep because we were on a road trip from Spain to Germany and it served its purpose. We checked in through a machine at 10 pm, slept, left at 9 am the next morning without talking to anyone. We've done this before in an ibis hotel closed by and the rooms were more "enchanting" and there was a bit more service. If there was nothing else I'd use it again to sleep.
Arancha R — Google review
Clean well appointed room. Great when used for just sleeping and as a base for days out.
Dave E — Google review
Not the best hotel experience. The room i had was on the first floor. The smell in the room was so strong like a bleach or disinfectant smell. Made me cough all night. Also made my mouth really dry. Also the fire sensor thing was flashing all night. I didnt tell reception as nobody was there amd quite honestly I just wanted to be off as soon as I could in the monring. I wont return to this hotel. Ive used B&B hotels many times and found them very good value but this one just doesn't meet the grade. Also about 3 hours after I left I recieved a phone call from the hotel. A very rude lady said I had been smoking in the room and why had I been smoking in the room. I told her I hadn't been smoking. I havent smoked for nearly a year now. She was adamant I had smoked in the room and told me never to return again to that hotel. I certainly wont be.
Richard H — Google review
I decided to try B&B hotels for the very first time. I arrived checked in and after 6 hours driving, I just literally opened my door and put my bags in and closed the door to grab a bite to eat. I returned, obviously the girls on reception had left. I went to my room and was hit with an overpowering smell of chemicals. It was like industrial glue, strong paint and amonia. I opened the window but it made no difference. I couldn’t change rooms because reception was closed. After an hour I couldn’t stay in the room anymore, you could even taste it it was unbearable. It definitely wasn’t normal cleaning smell this was industrial eye watering throat tightening toxic smell. I had no option but to go to my old, very cold car. I managed 20 minutes sleep at about 6am. I went back to the room, and I couldn’t even have a shower or wash because the smell was so strong.
Harry P — Google review
Cheap hotel near futuroscope. Double check the time needed to reach futuroscope on foot though as we were tricked by a third party thinking it was 5min away when it's really 15min away. The rooms were okay but we had weird smells coming from some unknown places, and the morning had the breakfast oven smell all over the room.
K S — Google review
This is a nice hotel, but could have been much nicer.... To start with there is no lift so we had to drag 4 cases up two flights of stairs. The bathroom was tiny and had no bag in the bin and the beds could have done with a few more pillows. But this is all personal preference,so it was no big deal. However the staff were nice, the location was excellent for Futuroscope and breakfast is available for 6 euros. Room was very clean and tidy and cleverly set up for 4 people, with two singles at the top of a set of stairs and a double bed at the bottom. For the price we paid we were quite happy. Thank you B&B!

Check in was ok, I had pre paid so simple enough, the reception Man spoke very little English so very little explained to me, I know I'm in France so should speak French which I do a little but remember this is a transit hotel and I'm sure they have many foreigners travelling through most of which will have English as their second language, this goes for all written information at the hotel too including safety stuff only in French. The room it's self was very basic and reminded me of a over night ferry cabin, it was clean but with a bad odour which I couldn't identify 🤦 TV had no international channels but there was free WiFi. The bed was poor, very creeky, hard matteres and a very small pillow. The ablutions were clean with plenty of hot water. I ordered a pizza which actually tasty nice and arrived within 10 minutes, I didn't have breakfast but after looking around at the food just left around (late afternoon) im not sure if I would anyway because do they replace it for the next morning? On the whole it sort of did it's job, a cheap over night stop to refresh me for the next days drive, would I use it again, probably not.

This is a good little hotel for our over night stop on the way up France to Calais. Rooms were fine, clean and quiet. Snack/pizza service which was great for us and the breakfast was lovely and good value. Helpful staff.

We got here late on a Wednesday night traveling from South Eastern Spain to Calais, and seen as there is 2 adults and 3 small children and a baby is normally hard to find anywhere,, but not here.. My partner went in to see about a room and the man at reception was spot on, he spoke perfect English which was a good send as we don't speak French (only via Google translate)🤣. He gave a room in the ground floor with a double bed a single above and another single which was adequate for the few hours we needed it.. 2 kids topped and tailed me and the partner and baby in double and other kid in bunk.. Perfect.. It was nice to have a hot shower plenty of hot water for all of us, room was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. The other great thing was the price. It also felt very secure and warm with a door that led to an internal door and electric roller shutters. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed the short time we stayed and I would highly recommend it. Next time I would like to stay a while longer to make some trips in France as it's a truly romantic, exceptional place to visit.

Great beds, awesome rooms. Everything is fantastic. Best 4 star hotel in the world. This hotel. Deserves to be 5 star. Only one thing not concerning the room is that there isn't much selection for breakfast. But still, food is delicious and the cafeteria is huge giving you lots of free space to relax and eat

The main room had an old style bed with sheets, and the bathroom was as big as a closet (some rooms do have bigger ones)& some of the lights didn't work It did have an A/C and heater on the flip side. If you are thinking of going here, think elsewhere.
Ela L — Google review
Good hotel to stay at for 1 night while traveling. Easy to find, close to the highway & you can park the car right in front of the hotel. Rooms are easy to access from the outside. Everything was clean and spacious. Unfortunately our room had the shower in the bathtub which was annoying.
Meryam — Google review
I found the room a bit small, everything is a tight fit! Other than that: all good! Clean and all you need for a night's sleep. I liked the fact that room doors open onto an open air corridor, with a balcony on each floor. That made it possible to just step out of the room to have a cigarette. No restaurant, but pizzas could be ordered for delivery at reception.

The Hotel Ibis Site du Futuroscope is a budget-friendly option that provides complimentary Wi-Fi and parking, as well as an outdoor pool. It's conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the Futuroscope, a popular French theme park known for its multimedia attractions. The hotel features modern interior design and offers fully equipped, air-conditioned rooms. Guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat buffets at the on-site restaurant and have breakfast by the swimming pool during the summer months.
After leaving another nearby ibis after a bad experience, Emelia and Lucinda have been nothing but perfect hosts. A warm welcome, clean rooms and nothing is too much trouble. The staff really make this hotel and it's a welcome stop on the road.

Stayed for one night as part of a long journey. Room was clean and tidy, buffet evening meal was excellent and good value. The waiter was really friendly.

3stars. Our family room was tidy, clean with fresh finishes and a minimalist approach to decor. We loved the buffet breakfast, plenty of room for seating, with a broad range of food on offer. One thing missing from Ibis hotels that ive visited here is the cooked food range, like bacon, eggs and sausages but I am in France! ! The counter staff at reception were fluent in english too and Futuroscope was an easy 5 minutes walk away. I think Ibis is a bit minimalist sometimes with staffing but we not very fussy types and had no issues.

A very warm welcome for us and our dogs! It has a relaxing bar area that does good food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Having known the standard room size of the red IBIS category, I was truly pleasantly surprised to find the room we had slightly bigger at the Ibis Site Futuroscope. Icing on the cake, the room's equipped with electric shutters (which is SO MUCH better than some hole ridden curtains) plus a bathtub instead of just the usual shower cabin. The bathroom & toilet size is also of greater comfort. There's a cozy bar & the restaurant, l'Otre Dimension, serves nice buffets. With it being spacieuse, it doesn't feel too crowded at peak hours be it at meal times or at breakfast. I highly recommend staying there as I've known other upscale brands of the same hotel chain that can't even match this Ibis hotel standards. Most of all, the staff is very friendly & delivers great service 👍👍👍👍

Looking shabby, not as clean as it could have been. The main reason we stay at the ibis hotels is the beds have toppers and should be comfortable, but this was uncomfortable, the room was tiny and there were no hand towels

Perfect perfect perfect for futuroscop. Most near hotel to park. Only 5 minutes walk even if you walk too slow. Must have breakfast at hotel at very low rate & too good taste with lots of things 15€ for 3 person (2 adult & 1 child). For dinner evrything close at 9pm but in hotel you hv option uptill 10h30 with low pricing. Anyway its simply perfect perfect perfect

Cheap and cheerfull & clean for a stop over, We had a shower & toilet, which was a bonus because some rooms haven't. But showers are available. It is what it is .

We didn't know we were booking a room with no private toilet or shower! And that towels were not included. Also, the shower was cold and the toilets not always clean. But the room was clean, comfortable and decorated with beautiful vintage travel posters. There was a great restaurant a short walk away that made it all worth it (La Bucherie) and lots of stores to stock up on supplies for our travels. For the price, it's a very good deal, but I would stay in a regular hotel instead next time.

Very bad service. Booked online, after driving through france as i was heading to portugal from the uk , no one at reception for ages! Then i used the reception phone managed to get through and awnser was manager doesnt see you and doesnt want to come out. They didnt like the fact i spoke english and very little french. I went outside waited 20min and then another custumer came and finaly reception lady came out. She was rude and unprofesional. Also there was 2 drunken people in there and they caused noise till long hours of the nigh. Will never use again

We booked 2rooms, both infested of cockroaches. When asking for help on the reception, just an answer that they can't do anything, the hotel ia full, you can search another place or sleep on the room you have. In resume, booked and payed 2 bedroom and sleeping now on the car. Just don't go.

Terrible experience. Noone is there to help you. The room was very cold and I got sick. It ois the contrary to hospitality. There‘s plenty of budget hotels in the area, do not go to this one. They say here they have 24h reception but it is not true, they leave at 22. There is a ring but is directed to a call center which noone answered for half an hour. After I could get actually inside someone from the cleaning team came (thanks to this guy) and gave me my room. The room was freezing and I only a thin insufficient duvet was provided. Noone at the desk to help. I slept with a lot of clothes on but I still got sick. They also provided me no towels or anything… not coming back.

Tried to cancel my booking because of circumstances out of my control. Woman on the end of the phone just shouted at me refused to answer. Tried again and was shouted at again. Was told to leave it alone money gone. Very very rude service. Would never recommend this place to anyone ever.

Impossible to stay during the summer. The rooms don’t have air conditioning and get extremely hot during the night, and we can’t even open the windows because a lot of bugs end up getting inside the room. Paid for two nights, couldn’t sleep at all on the first one because it felt like I was inside an oven, tried to cancel the second night but was told that it cannot be refunded. It’s better off to pay a little extra and stay in the Ibis Budget instead.

If you're looking for a budget-friendly stay near the famous Futuroscope, look no further than Kyriad Direct Poitiers - Gare du Futuroscope. This unpretentious hotel offers simply furnished rooms that prioritize comfort and cleanliness, making it an ideal choice for families or travelers on a budget. Guests rave about the friendly staff and cozy beds, ensuring a restful night after exploring nearby attractions.
This is a really handy stopping point, and I've stayed here a few times. The rooms have a fridge and a microwave. The mattress is comfortable, and the heating is totally controllable by the guest. There is plenty of parking and friendly enough for dogs. The breakfast selection is a little limited but usually good. There is sometimes a little noise from other rooms, but most people settle down early enough, it's never been a problem for me.
Emmelina A — Google review
The customer service is horrible, even though the hotel itself is decent, clean, and close to nearby amenities. But the customer service is terrible. The person in charge of reception, downstairs at the entrance, a tall, somewhat heavyset Black person, was unbearable. It felt like he was doing the clients a favor by working there, even though he was being paid for it. He responded to customer requests with a sulky attitude and without even a smile. It's shameful and pathetic for someone working in a customer-facing role. You should fire this person. They are not fit to work in tourism.

Old motel type hotel so a little tired but perfectly adequate. Clean room, comfortable bed, good TV system (has Google Chromecast so you can cast any of your own apps to the TV as well as lots of French channels), aircon, plus a bonus of a fridge & microwave. Walking distance to Futuroscope & the commercial centre.

Perfect for an overnight at Futuroscope. Only 15 minutes walk from the park with the route marked on the pavement. Close to the train station. Rooms are clean and practical with Chromecast on the tv so you can watch your favourite programmes from your phone or tablet. 3.50€ express breakfast with croissant, hot drink and juice. Ideal for an overnight or short stay.

Oh well, what to expect... Went here 2 separate times while road tripping between the Netherlands and Spain because of Poitiers being in the middle. The rooms are dirty. There where (toe) nails on the bathroom floor and the room smells very funky. It is also a shame that there is no water cooker (the fridge is nice, however). Also, on both occasions there where some dogs at night eating from the trashcans right outside the rooms, which made a lot of noise. Also, about the noise, there were some upstairs neighbors throwing what seemed a party (with very loud music and shouting right outside their room). Saying something about it had no use. The check in is very nice, fast, easy, and simple to do with the machine. The downside is that there is no personnel to check for noise etc. Again: oh well, what to expect… It is kind of ‘alright’ for a quick one-night stay while road tripping.

I think it's better than any budget well known branches. It's spacious, clean, bed is the comfiest I ever slept on Inc the pillows ( not too stuffed) bathroom is cute, solid with a big mirror and a bath. Overall a great quick stay hotel, lovely reception the rooms are tidy clean and neat, the included breakfast was nice although lacking a little bit in options but that is fully understandable as breakfast in France is normally a cigarette with a coffee. The location is great as it’s right off the motorway with lovely bars and restaurants nearby. 😁

For a budget hotel it is clean, the bed was comfy (I had no problem with my bad back) breakfast was great with a good selection. The staff friendly. We will come back if we are in this area again. Loved the quirky decor in the communal areas. Location good as it’s not near a busy road.

Futuroscope is a cutting-edge theme park featuring state-of-the-art 3D and 4D cinemas, motion simulators, and high-tech multimedia attractions. One of its newest attractions, Tornado Hunters, promises an exhilarating experience with a tornado simulation on a massive circular screen with special effects. Visitors can also embark on space training at Objective Mars or take flight in Extraordinary Travel. For younger guests, Futuropolis offers an interactive play area.
We spent two days at Futuroscope in early May and had a fantastic time. The park offers a great mix of high-tech attractions and immersive shows that kept everyone entertained. We especially loved "Le Voyage Extraordinaire", "Chasseurs de Tornades" and "Danse avec les Robots", each one fun and unique in its own way. Since it was early in the season, the wait times were surprisingly short, which meant we got to enjoy way more attractions than expected without wasting time in lines. The only downside was the food situation. Most of the food counters closed around 2 PM, and finding something to eat after that was nearly impossible. This might be due to the off-season, but it's worth planning around if you visit. Overall, it was a really enjoyable visit with lots to discover, especially if you're into interactive and imaginative experiences.
Jeremy B — Google review
What a great and different theme park. We didn't know what to expect as one of the kids found it on Google Maps so we went at 5pm the same day (cheaper tickets). It was really good. You probably need the while day to get round all major attractions, I think there's 22. But we went on loads and did most of the top 10 rides (according to Google searches and AI). Plenty of food and drink places and the Cique de Soller show at 10pm was worth staying on for. A fun evening for this family of 4.
Matt- F — Google review
This was an enjoyable visit, helped by being almost deserted in the first week of October. As anyone considering going will know its more about experiences than rides, and many were good. Some however are beginning to feel a little dated. The rapid progress in computer imaging means some of the older ones are feeling a bit low res. I'd be dissapointed with many if I'd needed to wait 45mins to see them. Your French needs to be fairly good to enjoy it. There is a wifi app that suposedly allows for simultaneous translations of many if the 'exhibits', I could never get it to work. The light show at the end was fabulous, and the food available in the park is amazing. No greasy burgers here.
Karl T — Google review
Best to visit off season when it is less busy. The park is nicely laid out and very clean and tidy. The rides and various experiences are excellent. Make sure you the show in the evening as it is a spectacular display for all of the family. The food outlets are great but perhaps a little pricey. The mission to Mars and dancing with the robots are incredible. In the dancing on you are strapped to a chair and thrown about even turning upside down to music.
Bernie K — Google review
Loved it. Really chilled. No rip off prices. The park and structures are beautiful. Less in the wY of big rides and more of the 4d type experiences but some of the best we've seen anywhere. Great day out. Heartily recommend
Liam C — Google review
We had tickets booked in advance. We spent one day in the park from 10 am to 11 pm. We had a very lovely time. The park has been greatly updated, and it's very cool, focused on imagining technologies. Danse with robots, chausseurs de tornades, objectif Mars, and Bermudes triangles, were among our favorites. We had cutting line tix for 5 attractions, and it was greatly appreciated and valuable. Food options were good. Some negatives: the narrative voices on movies aren't very good and often out of tone. I used a bathroom, it was flooded with an inch of dirty water. Overall, we spent an amazing day.
Geoffroy L — Google review
As an 'adult' we had a grand time here. We started with an evening arrival, grabbed a couple of rides, supper on site & was ready for the evening show at 22.45 which is the highlight of the day. The following day we ventured back in for opening at 10 & didn't leave until 7. If you go during the week & don't speak French you'll have to look at the App (which is very good) to find out what all the rides are about. They all have a science or space bent. We were there on a Tuesday - loads of school kids - there is some 'soft' learning in the background. We queued for a few rides but during the summer I would imagine a fast pass would be required of you have no patience - mine was stretched to almost breaking point. Not all rides were open but there was enough. Lunch at lunchtime, very few options open if you don't. Ice cream is excellent & most but not all staff can speak some english but it's good to have some phrases under your belt. Evening catering starts in various forms from 6.30. My advice : go....there isn't anything like it anywhere. Think sci-fi mixed with heros. If you have kids, they are well catered for. There are hotels in site but we stayed off site. Comfy shoes - we did 17k steps!!
Louise C — Google review
We visited the park on July 2nd which seems like a high season. It was Wednesday and it wasn’t crowded at all. We were very surprised that many attractions had opening times limits and some open at 1 pm, some had breaks in the middle of the day and some closed before 6pm even though park closes after 11pm after night show. The same applies to the eating spots. It was like running around the park with an app looking of attraction or snack that were open. For a full price it’s really disappointing. And the worst is that you can’t check it prior to the arrival as waiting times and opening hours are only visible when you are in the parc. Overall we had a nice time with few attractions being wonderful and few very disappointing. We would highly recommend Mission Bermuda, Objectif: Mars, Tornado Chasers and The Time Machine. Something I hated was Dynamic as it was very shaky, and totally not pleasant and we all had the same opinion. We didn’t stay till the night show as it started at 10:45pm and we were done with attractions by 6:30pm and we could only ride few of them in the evening which wasn’t fun anymore. We had lunch at Space Loop with reservation made in advance but we weren’t stunned. We dined in similar restaurant in Europa Park and that one we loved. This one seemed kind of cold and not welcoming. Choice of food was very limited but quite tasty. Order of arrival of foods and drinks was very random even though we ordered them starting with drinks my husband got his cola almost in the end. I would give it 3 of 5 stars as an overall experience. Futuroscope is unique and some attractions are one of a kind but it’s not a place I would come back in upcoming years even though we love amusement parks and we visit them often as a family.

Stopped over on our way south, we like the originals brand, and have stopped at a wide range of their unique properties. Firstly we were suprised at the size of the hotel, located in a very larve tree lined avenue on a large modern business park, up until now we seemed to stay at smaller venues under the originals branding. Our welcome, was ,as usual, warm, personalised and friendly, just as we have come to expect from the brand. Our room was freshly re vamped, (there was ongoing construction work taking place but we heard no excess noise). The room was of good proportions with all the usual amenities you would need. Large very comfortable bed, good quality bedding, clean and tidy. Breakfast was the usual continental style, well presented, plentiful and tasty, with good quality coffee available, just the right start for the day. Now for the slightly negative bit, and the reason I didn't give a full mark. There was a loud noise like running water that didn't stop and every so often all the lights went out for a moment. Having the air con on masked most of the sound, and we just stopped using the lights and went into "cinema" mode for the evening. Minor stuff that i expect will be sorted when the revamp is done.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been into. The 4 star rating is unexplainable and smells of fake. We enter a dark parking area that makes us wonder whether there’s a serious blackout affecting the property; you can barely walk using the lights on the phones to light up the pathway. You enter a lobby area questionably decorated for Halloween with spiderwebs hanging from ceiling and walls that have seen better days. The smell of fried burnt cheap kitchen oils accompanies us thru the hall and carpeted corridors up to the third floor where our room is located. The place is filthy and the room takes from the lobby decorations … spiderwebs … these are real though and make a good match with the pubic hair that adorn the sheets. Obviously we ask for a room change… this one on he second floor where the stink of cheap kitchen oil is stronger; s a bit better the bathroom, it has been redone… the pubic hair on scarcely washed sheets are a trademark of the place apparently… they adorn this room as well… We take pictures and match down to the lobby again. The nice kid at the desk is apologetic but just a kid. She arranges for sheets to be delivered (the were in reality bedspreads but we had already understood by now the terrible error we made). The amazing experience is not over; we’re tired and the kids hungry. We reserve at in-house restaurant and quickly realise where the smells come from. We ask for pizza, they take the order but only to be approached 10 minutes in the waiting with the news that there’s no more pizza and out of the 4 ordered only 1 normal and one small can be had… food looks orribile, it’s late and the kids are tired. The guy next to us sends back to the kitchen a plate of meat that was evidently impossible to eat… What a place… This hotel is in severe need of a sanitary inspection the after match of which can only be a shutdown. The entire place it’s shameful and an insult to anyone in the country running a decent hospitality business. Total cost of the stay 488 euros (2 adults and 2 kids for 3 nights). Shameful I seldom take the time to write hotel reviews. This was so bad that it deserved one. First and last time in futurescope and definitely last time in this scandal of a place

The hotel facilities are very good. Friendly staff although we found them lacking in foreign language skills. Very clean. Ideal even for a night stop over on your journey. Swimming pool is a hit with the kids and adults after a long journey. However, the food at one of its restaurants left a lot to be desired considering it is in France, i.e, old fashion and some of the food tasted rank. Eat elsewhere if you can. Otherwise, fine.

Great value hotel if you are visiting the park. Plenty of parking, clean and well equipped rooms, controllable air conditioning and free wifi was great. Play room and pool for the children, nice bar area for the adults. Breakfast was extra but there was plenty of choice. Overall it suited our need we'll.
Alec B — Google review
The rooms are pretty nice and well kept, but the constant noise from (malfunctioning?) air conditioning, and lack of possibility of turning it off lowered comfort considerably. Breakfasts were seriously lacking. Only baguette's, one type of bread, ham, salami and two types of cheese + a lot of sweet stuff. But no vegetables of any kind, no eggs etc. Restaurant - after a LONG wait I got a huge plate... With a very small portion on it. I know it's stylish, but there are some limits behind which such approach is just ridiculous.

We arrived at night and the hotel staff quickly found a room for us and the price was very good. Nice staff and very clean hotel.

We were there on a day when it was 13° outside. When we entered the room we felt cold. We set the heating first to 22° and then to the maximum, only to realize that the heating was not working at all; not because of a breakdown, but because it was not running. After various calls to reception, the only help received was the provision of an additional quilt. Not my notion of hospitality in a so-called 4 star hotel.
Al D — Google review
Standard mass produced hotel rooms. Helpful concierge who helped us bring our bikes in as there's been bike thefts in the car park. The pool is very small and there's not much in the immediate area.
Tony S — Google review
Ideally situated for the Futuroscope and good standard. Prices are on the higher side and it matches the offering.

We made a reservation directly with the hotel website for 3 rooms (6 adults) period May 10-13. We booked 2 Premium double rooms and 1 Premium twin room. In the rooms it was very warm, so we all tried the air-conditioning, but it didn't seem to work. Asking the reception how to fix it, we then learned that the air-conditioning was shut down in the hotel for cost reductions in this period! They provided ventilators for each room! We couldn’t believe that with money spend on a luxury room for each of us, why mention amongst others details that each room has air-conditioning on their website when it is not working at all! The price of the rooms is quite expensive, but as it was a special weekend for us (25th wedding anniversary celebrating with our 2 daughters and their friend and going for 2 days to Futuroscope) we reserved these rooms. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel was okay; there could definitely be more choice in variation and options. We had a couple of times some (cocktail) drinks at the bar lounge, and we’ve noticed that the bar employee was nowhere to be found, only showed up couple of minutes later and the last time the reception even had to call her to serve us. During that weekend it was also crowded with young people in a couple of conf. rooms; it turned out there was a Hip-Hop International France at this hotel. Perhaps that was the reason that we couldn’t park the car in the parking lot; we had to go outside the hotel and found luckily a spot nearby. Overall: Despite the good location near Futuroscope we wouldn’t recommend this hotel, mainly due to not working air conditioning.

Easy check in. Friendly staff. Hotel slightly retro! Spacious room with a comfy layout. It was clean. I especially liked the way the room had a sleek ledge all the way across to put your bits and bobs on, and a lamp that was in the wall. Nice breakfast. Very child friendly. I would not class it as a 4 star hotel because the kettle had brown scale inside...not very appealing to use. Towels were on the small side, and there was pink mold in between the tiles in the shower, and more in the overflow in the sink. The shower head was very basic and did not stay in place! You have to ring reception to have ac switched on or adjusted.

Positive : + Good location and close with Futuroscope walk 10 mins. + Clean room, big bed with all equipement inside. + Good breakfast. + Good buffet dinner. A lot of choice for food and drink. + Very very good service mind of people here. I could say everybody. + Good price including ticket of Fututoscope. + A lot of place for parking. Negative: - A lot of kid shout, run loudly in the walk way. Inside room can hear all of that, the door is not good isolation. But also lack of responsibility of their parents!! It was happen at midnight!!

Very good hotel. We slept like babies (especially after a day in the Futuroscope). Rooms are clean, shower and toilet were also very clean. Internet worked but not very fast. Breakfast was also good. We brought our swimming shorts because it has a pool. However you need tight swimming trousers to enter! Arcade room and bar also present. Check-in efficient. Pass sanitaire was required.

This budget hotel in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou features free WiFi and private parking. Rooms are basic but clean, and breakfast is good value.
Good budget price point hotel. They are clean, tidy although a little small which you would expect given the price point. They compare very favourably & are actually o lot better than other hotel chains of the same pricing levels.

Traveling through France to UK we wanted to get as far as possible, booked on line staff very friendly, small but nice clean dog friendly stop over with a good selection of continental breakfast.
Peter C — Google review
The room was not perfectly cleans. Under the furniture we found an old trash bag. The air conditioner doesn’t work, we had to sleep with an open window. We checked in online, but instead of saying hello when we arrived at the lobby the employee stares at the smartphone. Only the Location is worth to stay here, because you walk online 10 minutes to Futurescope.

Problem booking in but very helpful man on the phone sorted in no time. Very basic room but clean and tidy. Fresh towels clean sheets and soap in the bathroom. What more do you expect from a budget hotel. Would recommend this place.
John L — Google review
Rooms are basic but clean ,tea/coffee machine not working , breakfast OK for 8 euros, I would definitely stay again
Phil S — Google review
Another good B&B hotel, we have stayed in quite a few. The hotelier helped with supplying an extra pillow and bringing it to our room. My only minor gripe is the triangular shower cubicle in or bathroom, not much room to turn round! That said, I’d be happy to stay again.
Anita S — Google review
Clean and fit for purpose. Nice as stop and drive and very well located to visit futuroscope. Rooms were clean and bathroom was also ok. No fridge inside the room. The automatic check-in is very convenient when arriving late in the evening. The parking is closed so, the car stays at night in a relatively secure area. Vending machines with water and some sodas are available in the lobby, the coffee is not that good though.

Very expensive, considering we only wanted a bed for the night.

Nestled in the heart of Poitiers, the Aparthotel Adagio Access Poitiers offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience for travelers. With 116 well-appointed studios and apartments featuring fully equipped kitchens, guests can enjoy a home-like atmosphere during their stay. The hotel is ideally situated just 600 meters from the train station and close to major routes, making it easy to explore local attractions like the Futuroscope theme park.
Very clean rooms and common areas, this hotel even has an indoor pool (could have been a bit warmer, but then it has the merit to even exist!). Each nightstand has it’s own usb port for charging your phone or tablet, perfect! Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel car park is a bit tight and not very big, but there is ample parking 100m away over the road.

Shabby street, but quiet and not far from the railway station and Flixbus stop. Apartments are relatively new, the kitchenette is well equipped. I booked a street view studio but got an inner courtyard view which was nice and very quiet. Air conditioning was a bit loud. Other than that, I had no problems. My compliments to young lady at the reception who was very welcoming and spoke excellent English.
Mertvaya_sobachka — Google review
This place requires a ridiculously early checkin time on major booking websites; for which I've abstained from making a reservation there and booked elsewhere. This is a modern city, folks, not a holiday camp far out in the woods. Adapt to it to stay in business!
Heinrich A — Google review
Friendly staff, service as expected. Great location and access. The hotel had a very very bad smell throughout though. You couldn't smell it in your room with the exception of the bathroom which absolutely smelt of sewerage. Other than that, the location is great, a short stroll uphill to the heart. All good.
Shay L — Google review
Visited Poitiers with my grandson, stayed in one of the apartments. Perfect! Twin beds, good sized bathroom, towels supplied and well equipped kitchen. Pool was small but well kept. Only downside was it was closed on Monday and quite early in the evenings. Car parking was extra but worth it for peace of mind. Lovely garden to the rear with picnic tables etc. Quirky alleyway at the rear of hotel that took you directly to the bottom of a steep hill, it was a little steep for me and wouldn't want to do it many times. Saying that it lead right into the centre of Poitiers.
Maggi P — Google review
I was very dissatisfied with my stay. I stayed over a weekend with my family. Besides the hallways smelling terrible, we experienced several issues. Firstly, the AC units in our room dripped a lot of water overnight. When we told the front desk we were just told this is ‘normal’ and had to ask for extra towels to clean it up ourselves. We went swimming in the pool on Saturday (the pool itself was fine- plenty of pool toys etc). We had been told that the pool closed at 20:00. When we were swimming at around 17:30, a receptionist opened the pool door and shouted that the pool was closing- we didn’t understand what they said, as it was shouted very quickly, and they never came into the pool room to verify we were leaving, so we stayed. Five minutes later the same receptionist came in, very angry, telling us that the pool was closing. When we explained that we had been told the pool closed at 20:00, she told us that was the weekday time. Though we were technically in the wrong (and didn’t know it because the timings on the door are in incredibly small font) she was extremely rude. That same night, when we came back to the hotel at around midnight, we found our ACs were not working. They had been working when we left around 18:00, and when there were still people at the front desk. Despite calling the help number we were unable to reach anyone and had an insufferable night in the heat. The hotel is on a busy street h with nightlife so the noise from the street made opening the windows unbearable.
Elisa V — Google review
large rooms including mini kitchen, sound proof, large bathroom, comfy beds. not in the best location ever as everything is a short distance but up a steep hill so you'll need to climb up there, not the worst thing in the world.
Jean-Claude G — Google review
Pretty good. No fuss stopover. Comfy enough beds and small kitchenette in the apartments. Clean room and quiet at night. Location to the front not the best but you can exit through the garden to the rear into town. If you stay at the weekend you can park opposite in the car park for free until 10am Monday.

Guests can enjoy round-the-clock service at the bar, which serves snacks and drinks to satisfy any craving. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, making it easy to stay connected during your visit.
You must book parking in advance or they will stop you from entering the car park. Rooms were small , bathroom tiny. All clean. Right in the centre, restaurants, coffee, pharmacy and small supermarkets.
Nicola W — Google review
The hotel was very clean, room comfortable, staff friendly, good central location and private car park, however, the hotel took an additional €100 deposit from my account after I’d paid in full for the room, and did NOT tell us. I only noticed later that day and when we checked I asked for the refund to which it was agreed. I still have NOT had that money back and that was 9 days ago and counting. €100 is a lot of money to be taken out of your account when you are on holiday. If I’d have known I may have used a different payment method but we were not informed and I think that is appalling, especially since we are still waiting for a refund. So, please take this as a word of warning and be prepared.
Hayley C — Google review
A/c noisy with water gushing sounds. Rooms are clean but small. Breakfast should be included.
James M — Google review
Depends on the price. I have booked a stay for a very little amount of money, therefore my stay was very good. Location right in the centre, quiet street, good mattress. However if I stayed for their normal price (above 70-80 EUR), that would have been different. The aircon was very old. All the towels had holes. The shower sink also had a hole, so all the water leaked directly onto the bathroom floor (room 208). I guess that there need to be a refurbishment as soon as possible.
Mertvaya_sobachka — Google review
Unfortunately the shower was rusty and looked tried. Toilet very squashed in corner . Bathroom door didn't shut properly. Under the mattress topper was badly stained. Pillows very small and lumpy, only 2 Net curtains was ripped with a hole Couldn't work tv WiFi code wrong information in guest book in room . Unfortunately rain heavily for our stay . There was a bucket next to lift collecting dripping water But the staff plaisante enough.
Verity S — Google review
Location is good and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was well below Ibis Standards, was so small, bathroom had no room to turn around really and shower went hot and cold constantly. Beds were overly small for a single and as an adult you couldn’t roll over without falling off. Place is cheap and the experience certainly felt very cheap. Breakfast was mediocre. Wouldn’t return unfortunately.
Donkey 1 — Google review
This hotel has a great location but the premises are far below IBIS standards and should be immediately demoted to the "Budget" range. The rooms are tiny, well under the typical IBIS size, and the bathroom is minuscule, like in a caravan. The common areas are in urgent need of renovation. The air conditioning does not work in many of the rooms and the management knows it, but they keep putting guests in them - unacceptable in August. Thankfully, the staff are really nice and will try to move you around to a free room if you complain politely... It's not their fault. The third floor should NOT be used in summer. The car park only has capacity for a dozen cars so they shouldn't advertise it as an amenity. However, the adjacent public car park has really reasonable overnight rates. Good and well replenish breakfast, but the dining room is very small and you should definitively avoid the peak time 8:00 - 9:00. All things considered, the price is correct for what you get, but it should NOT be advertised as a full-grown IBIS with parking and AC etc.
Leonardo P — Google review
They took the security deposit and I need to wait a week to get the funds back even after paying for the room at the time. The location of the hotel is good, but the room was old and small. Bathroom was very poor.

Clean rooms but tired and in need of updating. The bathroom shower hung loose and there were fixtures missing off the walls. The radiator looked precarious but worked fine. The bed was comfy and the sheets immaculate. The towels clean but frayed. It's an economy hotel, it's worth the money and we were very grateful for a good night's sleep. Dog friendly. Staff super helpful and funny.

I stayed with my dog, they took 100euro deposit and checked the room meticulously after, especially the beds. My dog is very well behaved but it still made me feel very tense. Situated right in the centre of Poitiers with parking, this hotel has recently been beautifully renovated. Our room on the top floor was quiet, large, tastefully decorated and extremely clean. It was very well thought out, spacious and comfortable. Wifi good, shower excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff Personally, I don't like carpets in hotels. It's not hygienic. Beds are nice. Bit noisy and basic, not a 4 star hotel in my opinion.
Laura L — Google review
Driving south to visit friends, broke the journey with a one night stay in Poitiers. Hugely convenient central hotel, with its own very useful underground car park next door. Spacious bedrooms, all perfectly fine. Didn't take the hotel breakfast as we preferred to have a wander around the pretty town centre on a sunny morning.

It’s not a recent hotel but compared to the more modern BW we stayed at the previous night it has 5 very positive points in its favour: 1) there is not a sliding door between bedroom and toilet but two real doors! (There is a hallway between bedroom and hotel corridor). 2) there is an electric shutter which makes for very dark room! We faced a courtyard which was quiet 3) the city car park next door (not hotel car park) fits cars over 2m and is very cheap 4) the owner (who manages the breakfast) is super friendly 5) the O Bistro restaurant right opposite es fantastic for dinner
Christopher J — Google review

Julie W — Google review
A disappointing stay, it has been a long time since i have stayed in a hotel which had such a low level of cleanliness. The phone on the nightstand was dusty and dirty and the kettle also (see photos) and a pair of bright red shorts were left in the cupboard so that was obviously not even opened in between guests. There were hairs on the carpets so I was not comfortable letting my baby crawl in the room. If it were not for the white clean looking bedsheets, i would have left straight away and complained but for just one night to catch up on sleep due to a drive from Portugal to London, we slept and were happy to be leaving the next day. Surprisingly the breakfast was of a good standard, so that is why there are 2 stars instead of 1. Definitely not a 4* hotel, not by European standards anyway.

The staff at the reception was very nice and professional, not like the cleaning ladies who spoke to me in an unprofessional way and enter in our room in the morning while we were still in it - before we checked out! (= no organisation with the reception/management staff). The bathroom was ridiculously small. The toilet seat was probably older than me and there were no pressure at all when we flushed, we had to use the shower head to flush! (Fortunately it was next one to another). We paid almost 40€ for 1 night for that when we paid slightly less in uk for a very good studio/hotel accommodation with a large bathroom, a washing machine/tumble dryer, a fridge/freezer and very comfortable beds! I can't understand how it can be so much different for the same price. I gave 1⭐ for the professionalism of the reception staff.

The building in which the hotel is located has already seen its best days. The rooms are clean, though I really missed at least a small fridge in each one. Daily service of towels is in standard. Breakfasts in the form of a buffet. Everything is very tasty and fresh, although the variety is small. For a stay of up to several days, however, sufficient. On the plus side, there is parking under the hotel. On the minus side, the nearest shops are a dozen or so minutes' walk from the hotel. If you are coming from outside France, be careful. Here, all the shops close very quickly (before 8 pm). And in the evening it is very difficult to buy anything food. The quality od offered WiFi connection was excellent.

Easy to check in and check out. Rooms were clean although a little bare. When we arrived it was late and the hallway lights did not turn on as we walked down the halls to our rooms. I realize it was not to wake other but difficult to find our room. Lacked sufficient parking.
Taylor — Google review
It's very comfortable but pay attention if you book a room it's for 2 people but they only pay free breakfast for 2 person .... So you need to pay for second breakfast.... !!!
Bhanu P — Google review
Well placed Hotel, very peaceful in a residnetial area. Rooms functional . Will soon be needing a bit of decoration. Parking reasonably secure outside with secure parking i underground garage available. Small shopping area nearby with a couple of reasonable restaurants open. Their own web site is the cheapest for booking
John H — Google review
OK for a night, basic room, not 100%clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Steve B — Google review
Not a place I would recommend. It's overpriced for a very, very average hotel. In fact this hotel has turned me against the IBIS brand altogether.

Charming hotel in a fantastic location. Well situated for exploring beautiful Poitiers with friendly and diligent staff. They resolved a problem that occurred during our stay quickly and to our satisfaction showing a great care for and dedication to their guests. Really good value for a budget hotel. We paid a little more and got a great room with a balcony. Felt very traditional and a nice change from a cheap chain hotel.

While not luxurious, it provides good value for money with clean rooms and a helpful staff.
Very good room and bed, perfectly clean so I don’t understand the other reviews. Breakfast is optional at 9€, staff very nice and helpful. I recommend.
My F — Google review
People are very nice and it's a quite place to sleep. It makes the job for a cheap place to sleep while you are in transit. Note: if you want to have a breakfast, better come early (closes at 10 AM) if you want something
Ermanno M — Google review
Stayed over for 4 nights. Had no problems, and everything was easy. The management people there were nice too :)
Dr.Cryogenic — Google review
Falsely advertises wifi, it doesn’t work in the rooms. Woman at the front desk was unbelievably rude, yelled at me for the simple act of checking out. A sad establishment.

Not fancy but good value for money. Would definitely stay there again.

We were surprised by the quality of the hotel for that price. It is near the city center and the station so the location is perfect.

Cheap, quite and comfortable, helpful staff, burger king nearby. Perfect if just passing through and just want a hot shower and comfortable bed.

Nice staff, but the pillows weren't replaced with new covers (We found out because we spotted multiple long hairs on them). Hygiene is very important to me, which is why I gave 1 star.

We stayed one night as a stop off and it was a very clean and a good price for what you got. It was a small apartment with a kitchenette and a private bathroom. We arrived after the reception closed and our key was left in a safe box with clear instructions, and parking under the building. Overall it was a pleasant stay and would highly recommended

Nestled in a charming downtown manor house, Hotel Au Chapon Fin offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. Located just an 11-minute stroll from the Musee Sainte-Croix, this inviting hotel features Wi-Fi throughout and provides private parking—though it's wise to reserve your spot ahead of time due to limited availability. The hotel's prime location allows guests to easily explore the vibrant city square, although navigating the one-way streets may require a reliable GPS.
Fantastic position. Easy parking behind hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms a bit dated but clean.
Larry A — Google review
Don't bother, rooms are very old and run down and it seems to be operating as a doss house (not a problem in itself but you don't expect it from a hotel). The car park should not have 6 cars as so small, but staff friendly enough and the location is great on the main square. I would not stay here again, as i can get better options for same cost.
Sophia K — Google review
V poor indeed , not sure about it's 'hotel' status to be honest...has the feel of a government paid for bed for people down on their luck. No way I'd stay here again. It's only plus was the location is excellent and from the outside it looks like a lovely heritage building
Michael O — Google review
Brilliantly placed for walking around the city, fronting onto the city square. However it is really a necessity to have a good satnav (eg Google) to find the back door through an amazing one-way system up the hill that is the city centre. It's a good idea to reserve a parking place before you arrive as the parking area is small. The staff are very friendly, and the room perfectly adequate for a good sleep (especially at the rear of the hotel). The lift is one of the smallest I've ever seen. Room for two friends, or one with a suitcase.

Marc B — Google review
(Translated by Google) This hotel deserves a 3-star rating. On the one hand, the rooms are good: good bedding, generally clean, but the wallpaper is peeling in places, the hallways need updating, a shame not to do some work before the summer months. The location is great, in the middle of the city. The service, not always pleasant. Two downsides: the parking lot is too small, it needs to be reviewed and the view of the garbage...
Alexandre P — Google review
(Translated by Google) An unforgettable experience... in the worst way. The room smelled like an old damp rag, the mattress must have dated back to Napoleon's time, and the shower had two options: ice-cold water or red-hot lava. The staff? As welcoming as a 'no entry' sign. In short, if you love adventure and dream of testing your limits, this hotel is for you; otherwise, run. If you're looking for a place to spend the worst night of your life, congratulations: you've found it. The sheets had more stains than a Dalmatian, the walls are so thin you could hear your neighbor's conversation... across the hall. Breakfast? A dry slice of toast that had clearly been to war. Even the cockroaches seemed to be about to check out. 1 star, only because you can't give it a zero.
