A must visit, attractive, colorful and joyful part of the town to visit, with many stores to spend on and buy artisanal gifts for yourself or loved ones! Filled with fun people, events, as well as some rather annoying salespeople but they are the staple of what Porto Seguro tourism is about however, they are easy to avoid when you know the routes and how to say no 😄.
The only thing there's to do in Porto Seguro at night. Lots of people walking, dining, drinking and strolling around looking at a 💯 stands of alcohol, chocolates, Bahian food and some live music. It continues to be very live until the bars near the sea.

Worst airport I came across ever. Very small, too crowded, dirty, not enough seats, deorganised gates/queues, speakers can't be heard/understood, poor infrastracture design, water leaking from the ceilings, etc etc... I am baffled this is an International Airport.

The worse airport experience ever!!!! Overcrowded, absolutely boiling, little seating available. Besides all this, they are also miss informed and have caused a major financial burden on us. They refused to let us board on our return home claiming we needed yellow fever vaccination and we needed to wait 10 days after vaccination to fly back home. We lost our ticket. Took vaccine flew out to Belo Horizonte to go stay with friends. After the 10 day wait we get to Belo Horizonte airport to be informed we DO NOT need vaccination certificate. On our stop over in São Paulo we were once again informed that we DO NOT need vaccination certificate but counter staff outside as well as inside boarding area! Please make sure your staff knows the policies so someone else won’t be treated like we were and causing a huge unnecessary financial burden on tourists to your country!!!!
Worst airport experience ever, this so-called "International Airport" has the look & feel of a glorified bus terminal, there were four flights scheduled to leave in the next 2 hours after we arrived, there were only two check-in desks and the line was interminable and for some unknown reason extremely slow to proceed with each passenger taking ages to get processed, took us more than 1 hr to perform the checking, all of this in hall that lacks Air Conditioning with 30C heat ouside and where half of the fans were not working. There is almost no seating space available, the airport facilities are extremely basic, no conveyor belts for luggage when checking them in, no aprons either, you walk your way in and out of the airplane. Feels like the airport has outgrown the city and has too much traffic for its infrastructure. Having to use this airport is like having a fly on the soup of your otherwise wonderful vacation.

Since I am still learning Portuguese, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay special, always friendly and ready to help. The hotel’s location is also perfect – close to the airport and just a short drive to the historic center and stunning beaches.
If you’re looking for a charming, comfortable, and well-located hotel in Porto Seguro, Solar do Imperador is a fantastic choice. I would definitely stay here again!

We read a few bad reviews before we came, so were a little worried. However, they were not reflective of our experience after all.
The hotel is ideal for people looking for an affordable place to stay near to Porto Segura and Arraeal D’Ajuda (driving to Trancoso takes slightly longer but we did it on 2 consecutive days).
The standard rooms are very basic, but luckily the hotel wasn’t particularly busy this week so we paid a little extra and upgraded to a deluxe room which was much better and had a view of the pool. It was clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and had a fridge that was nicely stocked with soft drinks, água, and beer. My only complaint about the room is how dark it is. There are no windows, just shutters without fly nets, so the natural light is totally blocked out and so that really messed with my circadian rhythm and I struggled to wake up in the mornings. Also, there was one occasion where the towel was changed but the one they left me with was very smelly like a wet dog, so we had to ask for it to be changed.
The hotel itself is very relaxed and the staff around the pool are very good. There isn’t much shade though so if you burn easily like me, cream yourself up!! The breakfast was fine with a good selection of fruit, pão, juice and coffee and tapioca.
There are lizards, but they are cute and don’t bother the humans. Also the hotel is pet friendly so cute doggies and cats running around.
All in all, this was a pleasant place to stay. Very relaxed, clean and lots of plants to look at.

Some staff smile. Some staff do t even look at you. But it’s all my fault because according to the guy I complained to, I chose a cheap room! Seriously, don’t stay here. It is the worst place I have ever stayed in and I stayed in some bad places when I was a student!
The worst hotel that I’ve ever been in my life. Not only there was a terrible mold smell in my room and humidity pillows but also a filthy bathroom. I talked to the concierge and he just asked me to open the balcony door.

This place had it all. Amazing view. Beautiful pool, attentive service , and amazing food, sprawling gardens, and a incredible sauna spa area. Wow. I felt like an emperor indeed. My family and I had the luxury suite for two days and it was marvelous. Will return for sure 👏

I couldn’t stay more than one night. Our departure was motivated by the inadequate condition of the room we were given. The room had a bad odor and was musty, the air conditioning was poorly maintained and dirty, and the single bed was stained and smelled, as if someone had slept in wet clothes. In addition, the bathroom had a strong odor of urine.
I have severe respiratory problems and, during the only night I spent at the hotel, I had an attack that prevented me from sleeping. The room we were given was the "least worst" available at the time.
When I reported the situation to reception, they were understanding and tried to help, offering the option of a refund. It’s been a month and I’m yet to see the refund. Recently I contacted the hotel, and Fernanda told me that they wouldn’t issue the refund anymore. I have been trying to contact them, but they just ignore my messages.
If you have respiratory issues, and care for the room more than the pool area, DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE. Pictures do not represent the reality of the rooms maintaince.

Great hotel very close to the airport. Staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu is great, lots of good food. Only 4 stars because the jacuzzi in our room didn't smell very clean. Still a great experience and I'd definitely stay there again before I catch a flight back home.

This is the best location in town. It's downtown but not so far from the beaches. The rooms are near and very clean, and so much comfortable, almost felt like home. The service is great. They were really careful with my well being.

I'd call this a fancy restaurant. If you have fancier clothes than shorts/t-shirt/flip flops, this might be a good opportunity to wear them, but if not, that's OK too. It's maybe a 10-minute walk from the ferry through a rather imposing neighborhood of fish processing and vending establishments, and residences. Expansive dining areas, indoors and out, with a view of the kitchen. Top notch service. We were seated by the tank where the restaurant keeps its blue crabs alive until their time. We started by sharing the casquinha de siri -- a delicious, mild flavored crab salad presented in a glass dish accompanied by toasted farofa yucca flour and with an almost comically intense hot sauce on the side. Main course was the Bobo de camarao VG, served in the cast iron pot in which it was cooked. VG is for large shrimp, VM is for medium. Menu says our dish was for two people but we think it would easily feed four, especially if not accustomed to such high caloric density ingredients. The creamy rich sauce contained mashed yucca and dende palm tree oil, mildly flavored with cilantro and lime juice. Restaurant is happy to package leftovers to go.

This little restaurant duo is one of my absolute favorite spots in all of Arraial & Porto Seguro! A 6 star view & atmosphere at 2- star prices. You can smoke ciggies, sing, laugh, take photos of the amazing waterfront view & fishing boats, get tipsy as hell, listen to the chill live music or their playlist of Brazilian classics. One restaurant is nicer & better than the other...and the prices a little higher. Both serve crab (gauimum) & a variety of other stuff, including fantastic cocktails and the best 'pirao' I've ever had (the good restaurant only). Great for large groups, kids, dogs, lovers, & drunks 😉🤗❤❤❤❤ A short walk (all left turns following the waterfront) from the ferry boat. If you don't love this place, check your pulse bcuz you're likely dead. This place is pure f'ing GOLD

Pará is the place to be in Caraíva after a long day at the beach. It gets packed around 4 (earlier depending on the season) as everyone plans for a good spot near the river to chill while the sun sets and start off the night well. Pastel de Arraia Cremosa is a must try and their drinks are good as well. The only reason for 4 stars is that everything here is cooked on the same oil so if you’re allergic to shrimp like my wife is, there’s literally -nothing- on the menu you can eat. We talked to the waitress and suggested them to add a second pot to cook as shrimp allergy is one of the most common on the planet and she said she’d talk to management but didn’t really think it was going to happen. A shame for such a good spot.

Dei 4 estrela para o serviço pq fiquei chateada com o ocorrido, não foi nem pelo suco que demorou e acabei cancelando pq estava indo embora, mas fomos até o local com motorista de carro credenciado e quem tem autorização para entrar, sendo assim o almoço dele é fornecido pelo local, ele sentou no local e pediu, antes que nós pedíssemos o nosso, então pedimos, esperamos em torno de 30/40min para ficar pronto, comemos e deu nosso horário pq iríamos para caraiva, e simplesmente nosso motorista não tinha almoçado pq não tinham entregue o almoço dele ainda, insistimos para ele ficar e esperar mas ele não quis para não atrapalhar nosso passeio e que comeria em caraiva. I would not recommend the Camarao Area Beach, very few shrimps and a lot of rice for the price. They should specify that for a dish that has "Camarao" in it's name, shrimp will not be the main ingredient but rice.

Santo Antônio is my favorite bar in Arraial D'ajuda and I have been going there since it opened. They just started a bran new menu featuring Fine Steaks and my favorite Prime Rib in the world. The waitress suggested a Italian Cabernet Sauvignon that ended up being delicious with the meal. The melted cheese appetizer was amazing but my favorite was the marinated mushrooms. Such delicate flavors to welcome the arrival of the main dish. They never asked me how I wanted it cooked but I guess its only one true way to have it served. I was blown away by the presentation and the meat was simple mouth watering tender perfection with the perfect amount of essential seasoning. Decadence is a light word to describe this meal. Arraial D'ajuda is known for its health conscious restaurants but if you are craving something more abundant there is no other place. The food almost completely distracted me from the atmosphere but it is worth a mention that the decor is delightfully eclectic and they always seem to attract the best local musicians whether its Forro, Samba or Bosa Nova. If you want to get a hippest vibe of the town on the weekend this is the place. Locals mostly hang out here but if you are visiting it is definitely a must go to spot now more then ever with their expanded meny.

This is a very cute place, with live Brazilian music and a selection of different dishes. They also have a pizza oven and after a few days of sea food eating, it was nice to get a pizza which was tasty. Good crust and you could half the toppings. However you have to understand that this is Brazil and pizza is definitely not our speciality. The crust is think and crispy. Probably very different from the idea of pizza of a lot of people. Just bare that in mind.
If I would give zero stars if possible. It took thirty minutes to get a small serving of pasta that was overcooked. The risotto consisted on a few grains of rice swimming on a sea of cheese. The pizza was a cracker with tomato sauce and cheese and an insult to the Italian cuisine.
Not to mention that it's super overpriced.
The restaurant has a very good location and nice cozy decor. The staff is welcoming and friendly however the food was not good. We ordered pizza and it came barely warm and did not have much taste. We didn’t try other dishes so cannot comment, but if you want pizza it’s not the place for it.

2- minha filha estava com muita vontade d comer spaguetti com frutos do mar, e qdo chegou o prato, era ao molho sugo, (pra quem tem filhos já imagina o qto fiquei extremamente irritado), aí pedi pra garçonete corrigir, o pedido, e para minha surpresa a mesma brigou comigo dizendo que eu havia pedido o que foi entregue e não que ela fez errado.
