Burmese restaurant
Restaurant
Rangoon Tea House Golden Valley is a serene spot to enjoy a local breakfast in Yangon, open from 8 am daily. The menu offers classic Burmese dishes and a delightful seasonal fruit plate with various fruits, along with local yogurt and honey. This tea house serves 16 types of Burmese tea and inventive Burmese-inspired cocktails.
Rangoon Tea House in Yangon is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a high-quality restaurant to try Burmese cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious, served in a beautiful and stylish setting. In addition to Burmese dishes, the menu also offers Chinese and other international options, along with a great selection of cocktails. Everything I tried here was exceptional, both food and drinks. The service was a bit slow, but the overall experience was still fantastic. I can wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone visiting Yangon!
Tibor — Google review
5 stars Absolutely loved my experience at Rangoon Tea House! The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, with a great mix of modern and traditional Burmese style. The food was delicious — full of flavor and clearly made with care. I especially enjoyed the tea selection and the thoughtful presentation of every dish. Service was friendly and professional throughout. One of the best places to eat in Yangon — highly recommended! There is also a smoking section by the outside table eating area.
Sarah M — Google review
A nice place for all day dinings. Variety of food from Chinese dim sum, Burmese food, and international breakfast. They are famous for tea and tea leaves. Cheesecake is also recommended.
Nuch S — Google review
Probably the best Burmese food restaurant you’ll have in downtown Yangon. They also have Indian cuisine-influenced food including bacon & cheese samosa, which I can’t get enough of, and chicken biryani. I also had crispy pork bowl and it was divine. Finished the entire bowl! Spent ~90k mmk on my meal but that was definitely for sharing! I wasnt able to finish the biryani. Preferably, you visit this place with family or friends and enjoy the food because the portions are definitely for sharing. :)
Janno — Google review
This is a fusion-style restaurant offering a mix of Burmese local dishes, Indian cuisine, and items similar to Cantonese-style tea house fare. They play traditional Burmese music in the background, giving the place a nostalgic and cultural atmosphere. The restaurant is housed in a two-story wooden building with a spacious layout, creating a grand and open feel. It has a classic charm with a touch of local character. Aside from being a bit noisy, the overall environment is quite nice — I would rate the ambiance between 4 and 4.5 stars. As for the food, the portions are quite small and the prices are on the higher side, so the value for money is relatively low. I'd rate the food around 3.5 stars. If the pricing were more reasonable, it could deserve 4 stars. The service is decent. The staff speak English, and there’s an English menu available. However, the Wi-Fi is basically unusable. Service overall can be rated 4 stars. In summary: Food: 3.5–4 stars (due to small portions and high prices) Service: 4 stars Environment: 4–4.5 stars (minus some points for noise) Overall: 4 stars

And incredible restaurant in central Yangon. I had heard a lot about this place in blogs online and it lived up to expectations. I went in the evening and vibe was chill, low mood lighting, art in the walls, wooden decor. The cocktail list was long, I tried several and they were all delicious. Menu was modern take on Burmese food. Highly recommend the pork noodles and tea infused cocktails. Staff were attentive and friendly, service was quick. Learned a lot about the history of the restaurant and of the city while there too!
Laurie — Google review
Cocktails are stunning! Artistic local creations! Ambiance is spot on! On world charm. Perfect spot to visit with friends, family, a romantic treat or by yourself! Food is tasty and staff are friendly!
Cindy N — Google review
As a foreigner in Myanmar amidst some uncertainty, Rangoon Tea House was a comforting gem in the heart of Yangon! The tea and food here are absolutely top-notch — easily the best I’ve had in the city. I especially loved the mohinga — rich, flavourful, and authentic. The ambience is stylish yet relaxed, and the service was warm and welcoming. If (and when) I return to Myanmar, this will definitely be one of my first stops again!

Flea & Street Markets
Bogyoke Aung San Market is a bustling bazaar housed in a colonial building, offering a wide array of items such as antiques, jewelry, art, and food. It's situated near attractions like the 2,200-year-old Sule Pagoda and vibrant night markets. The market has almost a century of history and is a popular spot for tourists to purchase souvenirs like Burmese cloth, clothing, and jewelry.
If you are looking for precious gems, jewelry, clothes, crafts made of stone or wood, this market is your place. There are also money exchange offices with good rates. There are also places to eat or have a refreshing orange or avocado juice.
Blanca R — Google review
This is the best place to buy gifts or souvenirs. They offer anything from traditional garments, shirts and polos (I bought a few and they’re of good quality!), jewelry, paintings, and other trinkets. Definitely a must go place for tourists wanting to see handmade local crafts and souvenirs!
Janno — Google review
Extremely authentic place to visit if you are into arts. Looks like a big art gallery, a mix of modernity and past. Lots of things can be purchased there from jewellery to paintings. There are also dining experiences available. Lots of public restrooms. Overall, interesting calm walk-through the whole market.
Daniil M — Google review
Traditional market but it was not a happy feeling after I got back in the hotel checking my purchases. After converting what I’ve paid for 5 items I bought, surely I paid 3X for what it should be. I just wish people or sellers are honest and will not do their dirty tricks to earn more. This type of experience shoo tourist away to buy. Sad, because I’m sure not all sellers are bad and must have decent sellers out there. Negative experience from visiting this market for me but in a positive note, I hope what I paid extra, helped them in a way. Overall, it is a place to buy souvenirs. Good for photo ops, with its natural local charm. #iamkbonita #labonitaviajera #myanmar

I really enjoyed my visit to Bogyoke Aung San Market! It’s a great place to walk around and explore, with so many interesting shops selling jewelry, gemstones, handicrafts, and beautiful Burmese fabrics. There’s also a good mix of souvenirs and local products, so it’s perfect for picking up something unique. The market has a lively but relaxed atmosphere, and the vendors are friendly and not too pushy. If you enjoy bargaining, you can get some great deals! There are also food stalls where you can try some local snacks. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Yangon! I’d love to come back and explore more.
ChuLuxe E — Google review
Bogyoke Aung San Market in Yangon is an exceptional market, even for someone who isn’t usually a fan of touristy markets. It’s well-organized, making it easy to browse, and the selection is impressive. You’ll find beautiful items at reasonable prices, from jewelry and textiles to souvenirs. It’s a pleasure to explore, with a clean and orderly setup that sets it apart from many other markets. Definitely worth a visit!
Tibor — Google review
Interesting market. Selling Various items from gems, fabrics, antiques, souvenirs etc. Visitors need to bargain for the best price
Mohd H — Google review
Huge bustling market which is a lot of fun to simply just wander around or pick up souvenirs and really anything else you'd ever want to buy. It can be a bit daunting to find your way around, but it's perfectly safe and there are always lots of other tourists wandering around as well. I bought a couple souvenirs and found prices were totally reasonable without needing to bargain beforehand.

Yangon Bakehouse is a renowned bakery situated on a tranquil street adorned with verdant walls. It has gained popularity for its delectable pastries and baked goods, particularly the exceptional apple pie that sets it apart from other local bakeries. The serene ambiance of the surroundings adds to the appeal, making it a favored destination for visitors seeking a unique culinary experience in Myanmar.
This is my favorite coffee shop/cafe in this world. YBH works tirelessly to support socioeconomically disadvantaged women by providing skills needed in the workforce. Oh, and they make the best cinnamon buns and mint squares.
Anna N — Google review
Most people just review the downstairs coffee shop but upstairs there is a lovely little restaurant with traditional Myanmar food. All the dishes tried were very. Would highly recommend a meal at Yangon Bakehouse. Atmosphere is great and service is excellent.
Bernard F — Google review
A quaint, unpretentious cafe with good service, great selection of pastries and cakes, and won't go wrong with the coffee. Least expect to have this gem tucked in a condominium plaza. Better yet, a cafe supporting community through training. Will come back for the bread.
Joselyn P — Google review
Sweet little spot on the ground floor of Pearl Condo! Nice place to get work done! Each seat has it's own individual power outlet and they have free wifi! We ordered the chai tea latte and a chocolate chip cookie. The chai latte didn't have that much flavor and was mostly steamed milk. However, Yangon Bakehouse is a social enterprise that does amazing work in supporting disadvantaged women so I will be coming back regardless!
Kerri A — Google review
Nice place to enjoy a coffee and some pastry. The cake is fantastic and the coffee tastes very good. Besides that you can buy bread. Small and welcoming! Definitely a must-see.
Alex G — Google review
Small, friendly bakery cafe with a great selection of baked goods. They also have excellent coffee. Possibly the best flat white in town.
Brendan S — Google review
When a cup of coffee is more... Yangon Bakehouse is a social enterprise where they trains talented, capable Myanmar ladies to start their own business. Yangon Bakehouse offers the best hot chocolate in town, (and the best carrot cake according to my friend). Very hygienic and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. PLUS you pay for your food and a good cause.

Acacia Tea Salon is a sophisticated establishment located in a beautifully renovated historic villa, featuring tea rooms and a restaurant serving both local and Western cuisine. The colonial-style tea salon, patisserie, and restaurant are housed in an elegant whitewashed mansion with a takeaway section offering delectable cakes. Despite occasional service hiccups, the staff goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Overall, it's considered an excellent dining destination that prioritizes customer experience.
The service is phenomenal at this place... I was here today for lunch with my friends and there was a little communication error between the waiter and the kitchen that leads to an extra hour of waiting time for 3 dishes. However, different levels of staff came to apologize for their error several times for us not to get dissatisfied, and deliver our meal fast. Long story short... they value the customer a lot and best place to dine in.

Hello all whitey Acacia. Its One of my favorite place in Myanmar. you can enjoy food(Chinese and European), drinks(as you wish), Pastry(My lovey one choice is American cheese cake), Coffee( I would remind you pour all milk into your Americano cup but no sugar) and tea. One more there is layout, its actually different from other. Since you came in you would feel it. I loving it.

Kosan Bar 19th Street is a vibrant and popular night spot in Yangon, known for its stylish interior, friendly staff, and an impressive cocktail menu. Situated near the Chinese temple on 19th street, it's easily accessible for city explorers and consistently draws in both locals and visitors. The bar offers affordable yet delicious cocktails, making it a great place to socialize with friends over drinks.
The question is how to drunk within one night? So lets drink all cocktail in menu. Anyway my thai friends like this shop so much and Yeah! Me too.
PRAN_PPRG K — Google review
Amazing local bar. Beer is as cheap as 2000 MMK. Try the bang bang chicken and pork belly. Worth it. The staff and service is very prompt. Very courteous to foreigners as well. Must try place.
SAGAR G — Google review
Nice small bar with 2 floors. It is air conditioned and they have a nice selection of food at reasonable prices. Service was good and the drink prices are at the lower end for 19th Street. I think because they are beyond where all the street food vendors are they don't get as much foot traffic as they should.
Matt G — Google review
Very nice for local and foreigners for small gathering but space is limited. Price are also reasonable, I love it.
Sai L — Google review
I love the environment there. The price are reasonable and affordable but we gotta wait a lot for the food that we orderwd. It takes time to get the food order. The drink are like okay. And some drinks are good. Pineapple beer is my favorite drink at Kosan Bar.

Kosan Bar. Dirt cheap bar with quality matching the price. Seeing this place be jam packed, this is probably the way to do business here.

Love cocktails,,,, so cheap but worth for it and great to hang out with friends... sausage, fried rice and roasted beef a must

Most Popular Bar in Yangon. Price is fair and a lot of Appetizers menu. I like really the Soup tastes like sour and spicy just little salty if you don't like too much spicy tell the waiter and then it's will be OK. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you want to have some Appetizers from outside It's OK. I think Only the Appetizers but No Beer No Whiskey from outside. Because there's around a lot of street food. Clean Toilet. Disco light. Nice Music. Good Location. But at the weekend or sometime too many peoples it's not possible get table if you want to go there call first phone number ask the table. Enjoy!

Restaurant
White Swan Myanmar Tea House is a charming restaurant located in a British colonial building by the serene Inya Lake. The establishment offers a picturesque setting with a garden and veranda, perfect for enjoying meals while taking in the scenic views. Guests can choose to dine inside or outside, with options for both small and large groups. The menu features a variety of Myanmar and European dishes, including must-try items like Chicken Biryani and Myanmar tea.
White Swan Myanmar Tea House. Classy but cozy interior with a beautiful garden. One of the best if not the best restaurant serving Myanmar food. Every element even the small pickles show focus on details. Strong and natural broth for soups, perfect with a refined balance seen in all salads. Western food so far not bad but not too authentic. The breads and sweets are just ok and level is not as high as other elements except their looks.
Pro E — Google review
Luckily, I came here after the rain, the weather was cool for me to sit outside. It has a big lake and garden for you to wander around and for photos. The quality of the food is ok for me as a foreigner. Nothing is that special, but overall, the atmosphere is ok if you wanna have a chill meeting with friends or family. I heard the price is much more expensive compared to local price so it depend on your need to consider. For me, it is ok to try once.
Forelsket S — Google review
Food, service, and vibes are all good. The price of the burmese foods are extremely reasonable for this being a high end restaurant. The food is authentic burmese food with high quality ingredients. I wouldn't recommend the European food - expensive and taste is not that great
Jojo — Google review
It’s a posh establishment , but the interior is rather unkept in some areas. The food and service wasn’t what you expect for the market price here. The waterfront seating is closed for some reason. Overall it’s not a friendly place.
虫でんでん — Google review
The availability of the foods in the menu, the later of the day the lesser. I been there a few times with my family and most of the time, most of the items were out of stock. Not every meal was good. Some ok, some good, some meh. For the quality of the foods I got, I feel they are overpriced. Service was always good. Sometimes we even got some free desserts, sometimes didn’t 😁. Decorations were fancy. Nice to take photos. Lake view was cool. But so many mosquitoes and flying ants if you sit outside.
Danny — Google review
White Swan Myanmar Tea House⛲️ An afternoon delight with a scenic lake view. The ambience is serene, perfect for an afternoon tea date or a solemn occasions. So close to nature, I love the swarm of dragonflies around. My only negative feedback was the male server staff, kind of unprofessional pointing and laughing to people. The guards were very polite, handling us with umbrella. A must stop visit when in Yangon Myanmar. #iamkbonita #labonitaviajera #yangon #myanmar

3 stars for the service. This bakery clearly needs to hire better people. They always look unhappy and make you feel like you are bothering them. The bakeries aren’t bad, though. I wish the French baguette didn’t have that much oil on its crust. They use vegetable oil on the baking trays…

Cafe
Santino Cafe is a spot known for its decent Western food and respectable coffee. However, the prices are on the higher side, with an additional 15 or 20% service fee added to each bill. Despite this, it offers a variety of dishes such as soup, fresh juice, and fish fillet at relatively reasonable prices compared to other options in the area.
Very delicious food Many different dishes available A reasonable price
William C — Google review
Decent price for Western food in this area - soup, fresh juice and fish fillet for $10
Evelyn W — Google review
Cozy place with a big menu but they have the all-too-common improper billing thing and they're ignorant about. At nearby restaurants if I ask "what is this un-written 10% service charge?" the staff get embarrassed amend the bill. At this place the manager speaks perfectly good English but refuses to acknowledge the need to fix his menus. The fact that they've been around for 10 years doesn't make their behavior legal.
J Q — Google review
Most definitely has an Italian restaurant feel to it. The cappuccino unfortunately is made with that over pasteurized milk product that can remain on the shelf for years without going bad. It really does spoil the coffee flavor. The trouble is in Myanmar, Thailand and China this is the milk that is most commonly used. Further too the cappuccino at Santino, it's over steamed to scalding and served in an oversized cup further muddling the flavor of the coffee with too much ill flavored "milk". Nice place and staff. Come for the food but not so much the cappuccino

SP Bakery is a popular bakery known for its high-quality, fresh baked goods at reasonable prices. Originally established in Mandalay, the bakery expanded to Yangon and has seen great success. In addition to breads, cakes, sweet buns, seasonal fruit pudding, confectionaries and cookies, they also offer ice creams and juices at their branches. Customers can now have their favorite products delivered to their doorstep by placing an order via phone.
I've ordered birthday cakes from here before, and they have always turned out nicely. This time, we placed an order for a seminar at the office. The salesgirl was attentive and helpful, and the delivery was on time. Everyone enjoyed the coffee, egg tarts, and sandwiches.

Today I couldn't get the multi grain bread. But a new product (I think its new as I have not been there in person for some time already) the blueberry sandwich is moist and cool and delicious and the color is eye-catching but could easily be mistaken as a taro sandwich because of the light purple pinkish color) .The triangle multi grain tuna and chicken sandwich are as expected....good fillings. Walnut cake slices are also nice and moist. Especially for Summer Freshness my kids enjoyed the Fruity Pizza!
Jenny L — Google review
Bad service. Staffs are talking each other and don't care you. They can suggest you nothing about the birthday cake. Cakes and breads are not tasting good despite of high price. I didn't get any bread scent or cake scent inside the shop. It didn't attract me. I will not go again there.

Moon Bakery, located in Yangon, Myanmar near Inya Lake, offers a wide array of baked goods and White Swan House styles. The menu features Burmese-Chinese flavors suitable for lunch and dinner with friends. While the ambiance can be a bit noisy, it's perfect for small groups. In addition to coffee, pastries, and cakes, they also serve soft drinks and fresh fruit juices. The air-conditioned hall provides a comfortable dining experience with well-trained staff.
Better decoration than other branches. Chinese cuisine is delicious. Korean and Thai cuisines are also available. My favorite is its "Chocolate Frost". Recommend to go there if you are finding a decent place to have a family dinner with a wide variety of choices.

I am a Singaporean visiting Yangon twice a month, and I always eat there. The food is great and the price very reasonable. The flavour is Burmese-Chinese and suitable for lunch and dinner with friends. The place is a bit noisy though, but I guess it will be suitable for a small group of friends out for an evening.

While some find the music repetitive, others appreciate the comfortable ambiance for chilling and relaxing. The place is popular among young people due to its reasonable prices for food and drinks, quick service, and fun atmosphere despite being a bit noisy.
Great chill vibe ..cheap but good food and liquor !!
Divya P — Google review
Drinks are quite cheap compare to other bars in town. That's not all, it has few branches so it's convenient for customers. But, it'd be better if they change music tracks cuz every time we go there, it's the same old jam again and again. Btw, don't miss out fried chicken and french fries, folks!

Nyi H — Google review
The drinks are good and the prices are convenient. The service is good, too. But the upper floor is kind of suffocating in my opinion. It will be great if there is a wide range of snacks to choose. I nearly to forget to mention one thing, the interior design is good but the bar seems to be lack of space for customers to sit.

The best thing about Ko San is it's cheap. The drinks are good. Food is nice. Oh.. If you're into chinese sweet and sour kinda taste, try red hot pork belly. It's one of my favorite. Not really a great place to chill. The music is loud and people are louder. (They most play reggae and other mediocre tune.) The place is for those who wants to have some drinks before clubbing or you know.. have conversation with your friends where you'll have to yell at each other most of the time. Cheers.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is a popular coffee shop in town with a variety of beverages to choose from, including its signature ice-blended options. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, with fresh varieties of coffee taste. However, as a regular customer I noticed that the WiFi strength has been getting worse over time. Despite this drawback, the cafe remains one of my favorite places to visit.
Much lower quality when compared with the branches outside Myanmar. But we have to give credits to the helpful staffs

𝗖𝗼𝘇𝘆 🖤 The space of this coffee shop is commendable. It is quite spacious and offers a cozy ambiance. It is an ideal retreat for chilling, working, or studying, especially if you’re looking to escape the current intense heat 🥵 As for the coffee, it falls short of my expectations. Considering the price point, it doesn’t quite hit the mark for me. It is more expensive than I believe it should be, and I’m left pondering the reason behind its popularity 🙄
