A really hopping place, large inside and out (couldn't believe how many people were sitting outside in the courtyard in 3 degree weather). Fantastical decor, mixed crowd. Highly recommend for a fun drink.

If you are into weird unique decors and colorful lighting, this is the place. One of the unique fun bars I ever been to. It's a huge location with mostly outdoor seating with self service ordering of drinks from their extensive menu. It's trippy, it's vibrant and fun to be just there sipping your drink and lost on surroundings.

Le Pot au Lait was so much fun! The place has such cool decorations and a really good vibe. The atmosphere is lively, friendly, and perfect for hanging out with friends. Definitely one of those spots that makes you want to stay longer than planned!

Truly one of the coolest bars i’ve been to. Loved the crazy decorations, there’s always something interesting to look at! It was also my first time trying Kwak, and i absolutely loved it. The music was so good as well.. if you’re ever in Liège, do yourself a favor and visit this bar! It’s such a cool experience

Le Pot au Lait in Liège feels like stepping into a bohemian jungle of murals, mismatched chairs, and easy laughter. Hidden just off the busy Carré, it’s a place where time slows and creativity hums — students sketch, friends debate music, someone reads with a beer in hand. The décor is delightfully chaotic, the atmosphere sincere, and the spirit pure Liège: open, artistic, and unpretentious.

Location is incredibly good, the room not that much. Unfortunately our room was very dusty, shower had no doors, there was no way to hang our body towels (which by the way were the only towels we got), and on the bed there were a runner, two additional pillows and a huge cylindrical pillow, which were kind of awkward to have in a tiny room.

I loved Liege and I loved this hotel! Very close to the center and the main attractions. The hotel is in a historic building but the rooms are modern and furnished with good taste. The staff is very friendly and Ben is a great and helpful person. Highly reccomended.

Doesn't look like any other hotel. Very big screen tv, comfortable bed. Good espresso machine. Very home like welcome. But this is not for the touristd who travel with 30 kg bags! Very narrow staircase both in the room and to the reception. Great location. Would loved to stay longer.

Excellent hotel with very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and great shower. My room looked on to the street in front of the church. Street was quite quiet. Would recommend it to anyone staying in liege.

We arrived at the hotel in the evening after a long day at work, once at the hotel there was no reception and the door was closed, After calling the owner and him doing some research he came to the conclusion that our room was given away to other guests! Other guests outside told us they were not asked for any documents at the check in, so it’s probably because of their messy organization things like this happen. First he said he would give us the money back and search for another hotel for us and would also pay for that room. At the second call the owner gave us the adress of another hotel with a more expensive room(+/- €30), but told us the prices of the other hotel were not his problem and that he would refund the price we paid for the room… Refund was 72,67 and we paid 82,51, but hey, thank you for the refund i guess. I would say dont take the risk, book your room at another hotel in Liege!

The rooms are small but clean. Quiet place with friendly staff! I stayed in room 4. Only disadvantage is the hotel entrance, which is a staircase that leads to the reception and rooms corridor. Hotel is close to the center of Liege and to the train station Saint Lambert. There are a few restaurants around to have dinner. Strongly recommend!

Modern update to historic building on a quiet cobblestone lane in Old Town Liege. Room (#7) served two people. Compact. Didn’t do breakfast. Road is blocked off with lots of local artisan shops and also Nuevice is building a new and larger hotel across the street. Staff: were super nice, none on site after 9p Staircases can be problematic.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the city center of Liège. Beautifully restored building with a luxury feel. We could park our bicycles in the yard. We had room 8, which is spacious and really nice. Breakfast is expensive (19 euro per person), we skipped it and went for coffee around the corner. But, we will very likely return next time in town.

This is a beautiful place to stay in a small street with no cars. A calm place with a nice room let us enjoy Liege for a 3 day trip. We (2 adults, 2 kids) booked the family room and loved it.

The facilities in the room was really exceptional, for such a tiny hotel and I didn't expect it to be so advanced. All controls is touch based! There are so so so many lights in the room that you can play with to give you the right ambiance - romantic, bright, reading etc etc etc. The bathrooms are large with basic toiletries.

Sublimely renovated historical building, tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. Kind staff. We had fun trying all the lighting posibilities. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Everything you can hope for when cheching into a boutique hotel. Location perfect for exploring historical district, sunday market and the quirkier sides of outremeuse.

Cappuccino was very good. Had only one vegetarian option with cheese. Since I’m not a big fan of cheese, I asked the waitress if I can get only fries, she said yes. After a while she came back and said I must order a dish and only then I’ll get fries - seemed to me a bit strange but I ordered the dish with cheese balls and fries. The cheese balls were okay but the fries had a strong oily smell and taste probably not suitable for my taste buds. I’d probably only go there for coffee but not for food

Best “Boulet Liégeois” in town! Hands down the best boulet sauce Liégeois in town! I’ve often tried to perfect typical Belgian recipes such as “vol-au-vent”, “carbonnades flamandes”, “American“… and also the boulet Liégeois but have never been able to match or perfect their recipe! The meat is cooked to perfection, the sauce is divine, the fries match well with the dish as they don’t become soggy in the sauce… The atmosphere is typical, the service is friendly and efficient. It’s not somewhere I would go to every day but I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants an authentic experience!

Café Lequet is a lively and popular spot, especially on weekends when it’s packed with regulars and new visitors alike. The constant flow of customers means tables turn over quickly; a good sign that the food is always fresh. The service is fast, polite, and efficient, though the high pace can sometimes affect quality. In my dish, roasted marrow bones, one piece was undercooked and still pink inside. Despite this, the overall vibe, tasty food, and energy of the place make it well worth a visit. Just be prepared for a busy atmosphere and the occasional slip in consistency.

A cozy restaurant with good food, although our hostess was not so nice. We asked her if we can choose an other table, because the one she gave us was close the door and we were a group of 4. She refused and said she preferred to give it to a group of 5 people, and we were wondering the difference between a group of 4 and a group of 5. The service was so slow as well, we thought she was tired since she was the only one serving everybody that was there...

Great atmosphere, very kind people and quick service. On sundays they are busy but manage like pros. Combine it with the Sunday Market at 'la batte' and eat some 'boulette liégeoise' with artisan fries and a fresh Jupiler, you won't be disappointed...

Authentic place , the people are friendly and food is really good I was really surprised by the fries and the croquette actually which were really good even compared to a Friterie , the meatballs and the tete de veau were special too

Randomly found this amazing brewery/restaurant while climbing on Montagne de Bueren. The atmosphere is just amazing and place itself huge and simply beautiful. We tried couple of their beers, goat and bacon salad, traditional meatballs as well as beef tagliata - all exceptionally delicious. I personally really enjoyed their dark beer with interesting coffee notes.

Had a fantastic time at brasserie C. Went for lunch and we had a fantastic chat time. The place is very large with a lot of seating both inside and outside. Beers were delicious, I enjoyed the sour beer. And ordered the burger. Some of the reviews claimed the burger was not that good, but they were very mistaken. Burger was fantastic. Would highly recommend visiting this spot if in Liège.

I ordered a medium beef entrecode and got a well done rib eye. As i wanted to give it back the cook sayed, that its perfect as it came. 35$ And they forgot to bring the antipasto and broght it after the main dish.

Great location for a beer tasting. The location itself ist very special and provides a great atmospere. Additionally we had a simple, but very nice mixed platter combined with the beers. Awesome.

One of the best rooftop bars or Terrace in Liège. The historic building has been renovated to its former glory. They have a great food court with a great selection of food from Asian to Greek. The selection of beer they have is also very impressive. The bartenders have a good knowledge of beer. You can eat at the good court and go to the roof top bar or you could eat at the roof top bar which has a great menu. If you are in Liège it's a good one to chill and have great food with great beer

A very pleasant discovery, this place has a DJ and stands with a variety of food such as: Mexican, Indian, Thai. The selection of local beers is excellent, without a doubt a perfect place to have a drink with a good atmosphere.

Cosy food court great for food as they have a large different choice of completely different food and good quality. The bar is also great as they even do promotion on good quality beers and you cans even have great time on the terrace who's also available for private events with a nice view on Liège.

We really enjoyed our experiences here - yep, plural. There is a variety of food options and we decided to try a couple. The first place was the taco bar, La Taqueria - we got the sample platter which gave us all of them to try. A bit pricey, but they had some delicious tacos. We went back to get seconds of our favorites 😁 The brewery had some amazing beer, and we enjoyed the flights which gave us the opportunity to try a ton of them! We definitely bought some bottles to bring home with us. The burger joint. Yum. The flavors were delicious. Meat, bacon, cheese, red onions, sauce...etc etc. As for the space? Has a good amount of seating throughout, ground and top floor. It also has a terrace, though we did not see the space as it was not open. There are video screens that post your order number as it's being processed, prepared, then ready for pick-up. As for loos? I'm guessing there's construction going on as there were not any wash basins in the women's and I had to go hunting to find someplace else to wash my hands.

Nice rooftop terrace though the view is partially over a parking lot. The food hall is downstairs but didn't try any food. Rooftop bar was okish but the music was too loud for my liking.

Cute little bakery offering ice cream and a small selection of desserts. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We visited in the late afternoon and unfortunately couldn't find any waffles left. We tried the ice cream instead—it was fine, though not remarkable. The chocolate flavor wasn’t dark enough for my taste, and while the mint-strawberry combination sounded exciting, it didn’t quite live up to the expectation. The white bread was decent. A sweet spot overall, but nothing too memorable.

It’s for sure a must go if you’re in Liege. There’s always a line there and it seems like all tourists also visit this place Bakery is extremely fresh and delicious, we were also offered for free some cookies which was extremely sweet. Coffee is good as well, we loved this place!

No wonder this is the "go-to" place for a waffle in Liége. Big line but surprisingly speedy service, incredible taste and great attitude from the staff. Offering some free samples was definitely what set it apart though, lovely gesture from a 10/10 bakery!!

It is a really nice place where to buy your breakfast or snack. You can see how much the employees care about the place just looking at how clean it is. Besides the service is amazing. When we arrived they offered us some extra fresh snack for free. Their coffee and croissants are really good and the price is also good for that amazing quality. They take care of every detail and that's what makes this place unique.

The shop has been recommended as one of the best shops to get Liege waffles and it's true. On the same street they have three little shops, one for the waffles and opposite you'll find one selling little cookies and biscuits. A bit further down they selling fries. I haven't tried the fries yet, but the waffles were heavenly. Chewy and buttery, it's a must to try. But even the biscuits did not disappoint. I am usually a bit wary of buying cookies, because I am not a fan of too sugary sweets, but those cookies were also made of good ingredients and lots of butter. I bought some for my friends too. There is always a bit of a queue, but the staff will come out with fresh cookies to try, which is a bonus point.

Had the Liège waffle 🧇 which was warmed up. Not overly sweet, sticky caramel on the outside, warm and soft texture inside. Got coffee and a small chocolate loaf 🍞 yums! Oh and they gave us a lil’pastry treat which was good

We've visited this restaurant several times for their exceptional selection of meats! It's always a pleasure to dine here; the staff is incredibly friendly. Definitely not the spot for vegans, but an absolute must-visit for meat lovers.

Best Beef Tartare ever, second only to what my Ma prepared for my Pa in the 70s/80s (raw eggs at the time were yet no issue)! I gave 5 stars for Atmosphere, also because of its ‚no prisoners‘ attitude towards fit-form-function (almost Bauhaus style) appearance dedicated to a Boucherie presenting „it’s meat“ uniquely - Need for meat !!!

Excellent meat restaurant, hidden behind a butcher shop (where else). Amazing carpaccio and chops of choice. Smooth service, fast. Expensive, but worthwhile. Don't forget to make a reservation.

Loved it. Service was excellent. Food was beautiful. An amuse Bouche was served however neither my wife or myself caught the description. Our best guess was mushroom soup along with mozzarella and cherry tomatoe. My wife declared her os a moelle the best thing she has ever eaten. I started with the foie gras terrine which was delicious. I followed that with a wagyu steak. It was perfectly cooked and succulent as expected. My wife had steak tartar which was elegantly cut lean beef, presumably bleu blanc belge. These mains were accompanied by proper Belgian chips cut in house and cooked in beef dripping and a lovely fresh mayonnaise. To end our night we had the curtius sorbet, inspired by a local beer, and a dame Blanche. I understand the deserts were not made in house but the ice cream was quite delicious. At the end of the day the food is not the most complicated, however the care with which it was prepared made for a very special evening.

Hidden behind the butcher you'll find this excellent little steak house. They have a one sheet food menu and a large book of wines. This is a good thing! French only, but even with entry level french knowledge you should be able recognise your bavettes and entrecotes in several sizes and levels of quality easily. Ofcourse I was unlucky and chose an unavailable wine but an very nice alternative was quickly advised. We did our best in french and the courteous staff did their best in english and together it was all very pleasant. We were told the chicken of was off the menu, which I must say... who cares? But thanks for the info. We came for the beef. All steaks are served with a royal helping of fries and a very tasty sweet and sour vegetable salad. The steak itself was indeed very good. I usually like my steak lean but knowing from a previous visit that this place really knows it steaks I went for the entrecote, it was fantastic. Grilled to perfection, no seasoning or sauces, very tender and very tasty. 350 grams of excellence. Then desert, which we had to Google as one of the items was simply called 'Colonel'. Great refreshing finisher to the heavy meal we just consumed. Citrus icecream, lime and a very generous helping of vodka. Just one thing, if you decide to visit and don't like winding little stairs be aware that a trip to the bathroom might be a bit challenging. p.s. it seems the downstairs cow has escaped as the little green grass area with skylight is now empty. I'm sure we had nothing to do with this :D

This place looks great, and has a high-class vibe, which is definitely reflected on the prices. The food itself does not live up to its luxury image in my opinion. Some dishes were really good (the vegetable plate *it's the photo*, and the boulets) but some others were really disappointing. For example, the cheeseburger: when asked how we wanted it cooked, we said rare, but when it arrived, it was definitely well done. While reading the menu, there was no mention of onions in this specific dish (salad and parmesan were on the list but somehow missing from the plate?), but the burger was half meat, half onions when it arrived. When we politely raised the issue to a male staff there, he ignored our concerns with a simple "yeah, yeah, that happens, thanks for the feedback, goodbye", rushing us out, without offering an alternative to us (we did eat 1/3 of the burger). Considering the price we paid, this attitude seemed completely uncalled for and rather unprofessional. Other staff members were a lot friendlier, although they seemed to be running left and right all the time, thus causing inevitable confusion between orders.

I must upgrade the unfair average evaluation. Eating dishes with a distinguishing Calatraba architecture with a very good service must have a better rank. This restaurant is definitely a good choice. Angry people because of time pressure in a train station probably missevalute this place that for sure deserves more than what it gets.

I was there today. The place looks not bad for a railway café but the tables are very close together. Very cordial and nice welcome by the staff. The service was quick and efficient. However, the fish soup, priced at 17 euro, was a definite disappointment; it did not have any taste of fish, and not a single piece of fish, it was basically a tomato soup. When I complained to the waiter, he rather unpleasantly said that their fish soup contains no fish but is merely boiled using fish leftovers, and if I wanted to find fish in it I should have ordered another dish. I found that an interesting theory and explained that a week before in Bruges I had had an excellent fish soup with fish in it, but he insisted it was all my fault. OK. The other dish we ordered, local meatballs, was fine.

This was a previous Michelin recommend restaurant with a great selection of delicious food. Yet with decent prices and amazing service. The only thing maybe is that Hamburger could be a slightly better. But we liked the overall experience and taste of the other food. Would surely go back there.

We have tried the Parmesan croquettes, pumpkin soup and the Liege meatballs. Everything was so tasty and nice. Only thing is just 2 pieces croquettes are 13,50 euros. We wished more pieces or big portions for that price. Because meatballs cost 17,50 euros( quite big portions) Except that it was a nice experience.

I originally came here 24 years ago and it was the first place I thought to show my husband on my return to Liege. This regional drink is completely unfamiliar to people in the US and trying peket is a great local experience for visitors. The ambiance here is historic and the staff is super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend 🫶

The food was really delicious especially the fries and the vol au cent maison. The place is worth the money since the portions are large. The shot where it gets lit on fire was truly a unique experience. Overall, I would go again.

I highly recommend this restaurant; it deserves more than five stars for both its exceptional staff and delicious food. We ordered four main courses: spare ribs, beef steak with mushroom sauce, Liège meatballs, and rabbit fillet—all of which were incredibly flavorful, fresh, and expertly prepared. The portion sizes were ample for one person. We also enjoyed the "chamin du peket" and beer we ordered as drinks. In addition to the fantastic food, the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. They generously assisted us with our child's meal, making our experience even more enjoyable and memorable.

Very beautiful restaurant with friendly staff. Great options for traditional Belgian food, but you must try the peket as a digestif. The violet flambé was great, sweet and floral with a strong warming finishing. I highly recommend the jambonneau as well.

Great example of belgian cuisine. We had dinner twice in a row on the 28th and 30th Jan 2023. Each time it was really excellent. Original dishes which will fill you well up. The atmosphere inside is also really unique and medieval. And.. you really must try their Peket liquor, which is really special and unique.

Ordered two times the boulets a la liegoise. Really good! Also the fries and salad were good and the homemade mayonnaise excellent. On top of that local beer, a nice table in the sun outside and good service, simply nothing to complain about.

We visited this restaurant on Valentine's day 2018, and it was one of the worst experiences we ever had at a restaurant. The servents didn't speak English' they didn't bother talking or explaining anything to us, even if in french. There were two special courses that night, supposedly we could chose them, we didn't. In the end, we left the place hungry and payed 150€ for it. The only good thing was the wine.

Quality products cooked nicely and served kindly in this original decor of a former university lab. Better sharing the plentiful dishes if you want to try a "starter main course dessert". The home red wine, a tempranillo, is a bit too coarse.

Fine Italian resto with table linen which I can always appreciate. Starter was al dente asparagus with poached egg and guanciale. For the secondi I took the home made ravioli with sage and butter. Lots of butter. How it shud be! Topping it off with some fluffy tiramisu and there you have it. Ottimo!

We made a reservation for december 29 2022. It's validated. So we book a hotel nearby. Five days later, without any reason, our reservation is cancelled. I even mail to ask for an explanation and don't get any answer...

Nice place, although - I really had to talk loud to speak with my partner and he had to come close to hear me, really unpleasant - tables are too close to one another - the wine was nice -the charcuterie starter was ok - the carbonara was really nice However the risotto far too salty to enjoy, did not finish, disappointed

Extremely rude - don’t bother

The collection of arms is quite impressive, although it could include a bit more of post-ww2 firearms. I must say the light is terrible in most of that section, with one case of the place being so dark I had to use a flash. Still worth a visit, they posess a number of unique items that you probably cannot see elsewhere. I only visited the firearm section so can't say anything about other parts. There are free lockers inside, and if you're under 26 the ticket is free, that seems to apply only on sundays though.

Underutilized museum with interesting collection on the edge of the city center. Separate weapons museum with a few pieces you might not see anywhere else. No crowds, only a handful of other people. Worth a visit.

Good regional museum that could use some maps for orientation. We kept getting lost and stuck between various immersive theatre groups. I'd suggest keeping immersive theatre performances outside opening hours as it's a little confusing for visitors. The Roman glass collection is impressive as is the medieval art. I was a little disappointed by the early medieval (Merovingian / Carolingian) collections. Some objects are not stored where you'd expect. (I struggled to find the Merovingian brooch which is shown at the entrance.) Can't speak to the weapons collection as we only looked at the swords. There is a fairly random mummy on the way there.

The Curtius Museum is a little like a local history museum with a collection worthy of a national museum. The glass collection is very special with some beautiful examples of St. Lambert and Art Nouveau glassworks. The collection of Napoleonic era clocks, the wood and stone religious sculptures are also worth a long visit. It's a pity there's very little English in the description of the exhibits. Normally I'd remove one star, but I so enjoyed the museum, I'll let this one pass.

Excellent weapons museum, there is a lot to see

Museum has probably the best collection of Rifles and Muskets we have ever seen …. From earliest Matchlocks through early breech load rifles to modern day …. A must see for any weapons buff

Great weapons collection, but the lighting is abysmal. How a museum director signed off on that is beyond me, and I’ve got pretty darn good low light sight. Having trouble seeing stuff in a museum is maddening. You had one job, to freakin show your collection.

It is one of the best steak restaurant I have visited in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. The service is very nice we explained to the chef what we like and what we do not like and he treuly listen to all our wishes and served us everything we liked. What a place!!!!! Been Here friday Last week with a friend. The Atmosphere, the smell, the Sound of the Open fire is very welcoming from the start.
