Bar

The Raleigh Times is a popular establishment located in a historic building that once housed the headquarters of the influential newspaper of the same name. The bar offers a wide selection of Belgian beers, microbrews, and American pub food. The building has expanded over the years to include second-floor seating and a rooftop terrace with views of downtown Raleigh. The staff consists exclusively of Cicerone Certified Beer Servers, ensuring top-notch service.
I work a few blocks away from Raleigh Times, so when deciding who should host our private event, it was a no-brainer. Raleigh Times is consistently good regardless of the hour. Their staff is super attentive, the quality and variety of food is great, and who doesn't like a rooftop view? We'll definitely be back for work lunches and for future private events.

Stopped here for dinner while in town for the weekend. We were able to seat ourselves right away on a Saturday night. My husband got the southwest chicken wrap, my daughter had the Raleigh times burger, and I had the holy guacamole turkey burger. We had the fried pickle appetizer also. The food was good. The waiter was also the bartender so he was super busy and could not be very attentive. The atmosphere has an old town pub feel. It was very dark inside even though it was a bright summer day outside.

Downtown has so many great spots for food, and this one ended up being a surprising gem for us. There was an older man already inside who wouldn’t leave us alone, and it took our server stepping in to finally usher him out—it seemed like something they’ve had to do more than once. Kerry, our server, was kind and patient with our son, which we appreciated. The food was delicious across the board, and we liked the unique spin they put on some of their dishes. We’ll definitely give this place another visit and think it’s worth stopping in if you’re nearby.

Awesome atmosphere here. They had indoor and outdoor seating with Floor to ceiling glass windows. Inside was well maintained with neat ceilings. On the wall they had newspapers from back in the day. The food was great, and the service was even better! If you are in Raleigh, you need to stop here and grab a bite!

Loved this place! We were in town due to the comic con at the convention center. My kids and hubby enjoyed our meal here! We had the burger which was big and satisfying both my son and hubby finished everything my sister had the southwest wrap which was also very delicious! I had the flying Hawaiian chicken sandwich a great balance between sweet and savory 🤤. I tried two cocktails while there the peach sour whiskey and mango margarita the peach cocktail was my favorite ended up getting 2. Thanks so much for the great friendly service and amazing food!

The place is in a great location in downtown Raleigh. I have been there a few times and the food ok, I am sure you can find items on the menu that are better than others. I particularly didn’t like the Shrimp Po’boy too much, it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t delicious. The other plate was the Chicken Sand. With pineapple that my friend enjoyed. The service was excellent, very friendly and efficient, despite being so busy, which is a quality that helps customers return to a spot.

We had our Rehearsal Dinner here in August 2025 in the Main Floor Dining Room, and we were very pleased with the experience! The entire planning process with Kaitlyn was incredibly smooth, and Maddie was great for the day of service! The food was good, the staff was professional, and the planning was a breeze. Thanks!

Every time I go here, they tell me most food is pre-prepared, and cannot make any guarantees about my allergies. It makes my options limited to basically only the burger or the Cuban, which are good. The one time they made me baked Salmon off menu I felt it was a bit undercooked. I don’t really blame anyone but it sucks that so much is pre-prepared I can’t eat it.

Restaurant
The Raleigh Beer Garden is a rustic-chic bar that boasts an impressive selection of over 350 beers on tap, making it the holder of the world record for the largest draft beer selection. This massive 8,500-square-foot venue features three levels, ample outdoor space including a family-friendly back garden patio and a rooftop bar. With its ever-changing array of beers and emphasis on local breweries, it's a must-visit destination for craft beer enthusiasts.
This beer garden place has hundreds of taps beer points to taste and drink. You name the beer and they have it. We went there to taste some beer but to sit on the couch, we had to buy some food. We ended up with french fries ! Ambience is bit rustic and dark but in the backyard they have a beautiful garden with putt golf. Outside ambience is very nice but inside is too noisy and over crowded. Looks like everyone loves this place !!
Mayank T — Google review
Nice atmosphere with the trees growing through the building. Several floors with indoor and outdoor seating. It would be impossible to leave here without finding a beer you like. All the normal selections in addition to craft, local, and imported beer. Great way to spend a night or afternoon in Raleigh!

Excellent venue! In town for a weekend and this was the first place on our list. So impressed and pleased after the first day, we came back the next. Play mini golf and have a beer? Yes please! Excellent food, excellent service. Will be back!
Kent E — Google review
This place was magical! It’s tucked away and unassuming but so spacious and a ton of great spots to hang out, relax, and socialize. While this could be a super cute date spot, it is also perfect for families as well! The food was pretty good- I’d totally go back for their soft pretzel! The Caesar salad was kinda average (although I LOVED the dressing) and the fries were fine. While the person working the minigolf station was super personable and helpful, the service with the food was lacking. Granted we were dining on the mini golf course so maybe service is better elsewhere in the establishment but our food came to us with no plates for our group of 6 to divvy up the food. We asked for plates but after about 10 minutes (plus the person we asked passing us with no acknowledgement) I went up to the main part of the restaurant and asked for plates which I brought out to our table myself. We also had to ask for utensils and napkins. All-in-all I’d 1000% come back, but would probably just come for the games, vibes and maybe some drinks or snacks.
Amber V — Google review
Was nice I could bring my dog here but the food was not good. I ordered the poutine and left off the gravy. Food comes and I get a bowl of fries with crumbled cheese on it. The poutine was supposed to include cheese curds. I asked the waiter where the cheese curds were and she said that this is what the poutine was supposed to have and nothing was wrong. She went and asked the kitchen and they said it was correct. The menu said mozzarella cheese AND cheese curds. I’m not sure what these cheese crumbles were supposed to be but they’re definitely not cheese curds. Waitress was nice about it and did the right thing by offering me another meal. I had some pizza which was fine but they also forgot the marinara sauce on so it was pesto pizza. In addition, waitress said a flight of beer would be more cost effective than ordering individual 5 oz beers but upon getting the bill, it was all priced individually. Also, the beer tasted old. They clearly have too many beers on tap to be able to keep up with all of them.
Samantha B — Google review
Raleigh Biergarten is a great place to try a huge selection of beers. Food is mediocre but not bad, french fries were tasty. Beer prices are on point in the selection is huge. Definitely, bartender in servers were all very helpful. Go for the beer without a doubt
Avery T — Google review
💢Please read! Like set up of this place but food was very mid. Feel like a scam even the photos showed how very mid it is. I ordered pull pork hash browns from the brunch menu. I was so hungry, it wasn’t describe on the menu: so I eat chop pork belly with cheese and didn’t eat super fried diced potatoes that turn into dust with a press with a fork. The servers give the silverware and napkins later after getting the meal. Only good thing is drinks but not drunk enough to eat anything here. It’s broke my heart with the food here, because I love food and drinks.

Awesome beer spot with a killer backyard! Beer Garden is one of those places you keep coming back to. The vibe is super chill—long wooden tables, string lights, plants everywhere, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for hanging out with friends, a date, or even solo with a book. The beer selection is insane: local craft brews, international favorites, always ice-cold, and the staff’s recommendations are spot-on (shoutout for the seasonal IPA!). Prices are fair for the quality. Food is on point too—the BBQ wings and giant pretzel are perfect for sharing (or not, haha). Everything fresh and generous portions. Service is friendly and attentive without being pushy. I absolutely loved the back area with the games zone—cornhole, giant Jenga, the works. It’s a blast! One thing to fix: the bathrooms were dirty with water all over the floor. They really need to check that detail more often. Highly recommended overall. Already planning my next visit! 🍻

Greek restaurant
Taverna Agora is a charming and cozy restaurant that offers a taste of the Mediterranean with its Greek-inspired ambiance and rooftop patio. The menu features traditional Greek dishes, along with specialty cocktails and authentic Greek wines. Guests can enjoy must-have appetizers like Tzatziki and Hummus, as well as the flambeed saganaki. The family-style dinner allows diners to immerse themselves in Greek culinary culture.
Food, service and atmosphere were excellent. Our waitress was Hanna and you could not ask for anyone better. She was so accommodating and friendly. The general manager was also exceptional—working hard cleaning tables and setting them up again for new customers. This was my first visit and I highly recommend this restaurant! We had a special restaurant set menu since it was restaurant week. It was as good as food I have eaten in Greece.

This place was good! I’ve heard wonderful things about the rooftop. I made a reservation for outside but was placed in their front room, which is completely covered and basically inside. Next time I’ll ask the hostess for the rooftop specifically, so I’m not faulting them for that. The feta dip was yummy! Would recommend this place although it is not my favorite Greek place in the triangle. However, it is a great downtown option.

Mediterranean and Greek food restaurant. Vibes are casual with great Greek decor throughout. Dining on the upper patio is a must, beautiful and relaxing atmosphere! Great menu, variety of dishes. Food taste was good albeit lamb was lightly overcooked from a request of medium rare. Seasoning was on point and the sear was great. Still very juicy. Calamari was slightly heavy on the salt but loved the additions of the fried lemon and onions. The trio spreads with the pita was an amazing first course! Service was slightly lacking. Many voicing complaints about seating order to where customers could hear. Which, in our experience, seemed to affect the “friendliness” of the service, however everyone was nice and food came out in good time. Will absolutely come back!
Michelle L — Google review
My boyfriend and I went for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and were immediately seated. It took about 10 minutes for a waitress to come over and offer us water on a 90 degree day, so that’s where the stars off for service come from. Otherwise, the food and drink were good. I enjoyed my salmon burger and red sangria, though I probably wouldn’t order the sangria again. My boyfriend enjoyed his lamb burger. Overall, I would visit again.
Alyssa G — Google review
Yum! We try to eat Greek whenever we travel and this was less than a mile from our hotel. Walked in at 1110am, first customers of the day and starving!! There is a lovely protected patio upstairs. If you are able to climb stairs, please do so. We ate upstairs My spouse ordered the baklava old fashioned and I ordered tea. He said it was fine, but didn't taste anything resembling baklava. Just a regular old fashioned We ordered saganaki for an appetizer and I asked for bread with it. Our server, Patrick, told us there is no bread at lunch, however, we could order a side of pita The saganaki came out pretty quickly and it gave him some trouble. It wasn't sizzling at the table, but he managed to get the brandy to flame a little. It was the most unusual saganaki! It had a breading of some sort on it. (see Pic) it was fine, but it wasn't melted on the skillet, almost resembled a piece of pie. We both ordered a bowl of Lemon chicken soup and I ordered the Strawberry fields salad. Spouse ordered a small Greek salad and a gyro. The soup was cold but delicious. I had to ask the food runner for salt and pepper and sweetener. The Strawberry salad is enough for the table. It's that big. Hubby's gyro was in a hard cold pita, he thought it was from yesterday, maybe?? The gyro meat is not the shaved roll. It is a very homemade tasting meat, with texture of meatloaf. He said it was fine. We ordered Greek coffee for dessert. The server brought us regular brewed coffee. He made the switch right away, after husband pointed out that we wanted the Greek coffee (almost espresso, not brewed) We had a nice lunch. We ordered a ton of food.

Love the deck outside, it's upstairs! The Greek wine (although I didn't order that). The cocktails (had an espresso martini). But above all, my fabulous waitress, Molly. What a fun night. I highly recommend!
Michelle C — Google review
My server, Michael, was absolutely fantastic. He was very attentive and kind. Further, the food is delicious! I have the avgolemono, spicy feta spread, and baklava and it was all super delicious. Taverna is a great Greek restaurant to eat at if you’re in downtown Raleigh.
Rachel M — Google review
We checked out this awesome restaurant yesterday and really loved it. The interior and overall vibe had a strong Greek feel to it — super cozy and stylish. We sat upstairs on the open patio, and even though it was warm outside, it felt perfect. They had fans going, plus a light breeze, so it wasn’t too hot or cold — just super fresh and comfortable. When we got there, they handed us the menu. Just a heads-up: the menu on the website has pictures, but the one at the restaurant doesn’t. Personally, I always recommend restaurants include pictures — it just helps you visualize what you’re ordering, especially when the descriptions alone aren’t super clear. Most people order with their eyes, you know? Service-wise, everything was solid. No complaints there. For drinks, my wife got an iced tea, and I went with the iced coffee — it was really good and had a cool twist to it. As for food, my wife got the lamb burger and I ordered the chicken gyro. The gyro was a little on the dry side, but that’s kinda expected with chicken — it’s just the texture. Not a bad thing, just how chicken is sometimes. Everything else tasted great though. The burger? My wife said it was good, just not amazing. So, will we go back? Definitely. The place is beautiful, the vibe is great, and I’d totally recommend checking it out.

Level7 is a sophisticated rooftop bar and cocktail lounge located at the AC Hotel Raleigh North Hills. Serving up small plates and cocktails, the spot has wonderful views of Raleigh's North Hills district. Named one of 2020's best bars by Best Bars, Level 7 is a must-go for anyone visiting the area.
Amazing experience! My fiancé did my surprise proposal here on Christmas Eve and it was absolutely magical. Management and staff went above and beyond to accommodate setting everything up and being able to do the proposal on their beautiful rooftop. Finishing with a glass of champagne at their gorgeous bar. I cannot recommend them enough. Date night, photo shoot, proposal whatever you need. This is the place to do it!

I forgot how terrible the customer service is here. 6 employees behind the bar. One guy nudges the girl to get off her cell phone to take care of us with only 2 other couples at bar. We asked for a drink menu and the girl rolls her eyes at us. Last time we were here, they were out of half the beers and wines, on a Thursday night. Come here for the view, not good customer service

Level7 Rooftop - Stunning Views, Misleading Vibes" My experience at Level7 Rooftop left me with mixed feelings. Situated atop a hotel, the stunning views initially promised an exciting night out to celebrate my birthday. However, the reality didn't quite live up to the expectations set by their website. The ambiance was more suited for an older crowd, resembling a 55+ club rather than the lively atmosphere I anticipated based on their online presence. The music felt bland, further emphasizing the mature vibe. As a bar, the food was average, leaning towards typical bar fare. The drinks, however, were well-made and enjoyable. Despite the mediocre offerings, the service was attentive, and our orders arrived promptly. The main redeeming factor was the breathtaking scenery. If you're looking for a place to appreciate the view while sipping on a well-crafted drink, Level7 Rooftop might be worth a visit. However, if you're seeking a lively atmosphere, this might not be the ideal destination. In conclusion, my experience at Level7 Rooftop was salvaged by the gorgeous views, but the overall ambiance and energy didn't align with my expectations or what their website portrayed. Their marketing team deserves credit for their presentation, but the reality left me somewhat disappointed.

My husband and I were guest at the hotel for a night to celebrate his birthday weekend. The bar is very nice, and drinks were good but, a few days later when I compared our receipt to my credit card statement there was an additional $70 charged. there weren't any gratuities added when I received my receipt, so I gave our waitress a $50 cash tip. I called the bar to speak with a manager and got the voice mail. I left a message and I'm waiting for a call back. I will update my review once I hear back from someone to resolve this issue.
Angel G — Google review
My wife and I were staying at the hotel and went up to the restaurant for a quick breakfast. When we got off the elevator there wasn’t a host/hostess so we stood around waiting. Eventually a hostess appeared and in a bothered tone pointed us to breakfast buffet and said to choose a table to sit at. We walked around three tables that had chewed food crumbs on plates and tabletop and finally got to a table that wasn’t soiled with partially eaten food. The hostess was very rude when mentioning we could order a la carte off a menu. Due to the rude service and unsanitary environment we decided to leave and get breakfast down the street. We will never return to Level7.

Lounge
The Willard Rooftop Lounge is a trendy spot located atop the AC Hotel in downtown Raleigh. It offers two outdoor terraces and an indoor dining space with stunning views of the growing skyline. The lounge provides a cool and comfortable atmosphere, making it perfect for enjoying pre-dinner drinks or late afternoon gatherings with friends or colleagues. Highgarden rooftop lounge, part of the Hibernian Hospitality Group, is another addition to this botanical-themed trio.
This rooftop restaurant is an absolute standout. The atmosphere is stylish and relaxing, with stunning views that make the perfect backdrop for any meal. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the ambiance made the entire experience feel special. Whether you're celebrating or just enjoying a night out, this spot offers a perfect mix of great food, exceptional service, and unbeatable scenery. Highly recommend!

I recently visited this restaurant and was impressed by the overall atmosphere. It was very clean, welcoming, and had a great vibe. Our waitress was friendly and provided great service. The view was beautiful, and I loved that you have the option to dine inside or enjoy the rooftop seating. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed experience. The cedar chicken salad was a little chewy, and the seasoning was quite overpowering. The chocolate torte dessert also had a strong flavor—more like thick chocolate pudding than a traditional dessert. However, the fries were tasty (though a bit salty), and the hamburger was absolutely delicious! One downside was the wait time for drink refills. It could take up to 30 minutes, depending on how many servers were available that day. Despite that, I’m definitely open to giving it a second chance. The atmosphere and some of the food were worth coming back for.
Kate V — Google review
Super cute spot for the girlies to meet up from some rooftop cocktails but I went with hubby for my bday lunch moment. Nice vibes, very windy so don’t wear dresses or hats and Be mindful of your hair but overall I’d be back! Drinks were yummy.
Stephanie T — Google review
Atmosphere was superb and the food was delicious. I had the bbq bacon burger and the ginger island drink. The drink was a little watered down though. I wish there was more food option but besides that everything about this place is amazing. It's more of a lounge vs a restaurant. It was a little difficult to find at first bc it's located inside a hotel on the 7th floor. I would definitely be back. However, parking can be a hassle.
Nina M — Google review
I recently hosted a party of six at the Willard Rooftop Lounge, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable evenings we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was nothing short of stunning, elevated views of the city, warm lighting, and a vibe that made you want to settle in and stay awhile. But what truly made the night exceptional was our server, Eric, easily recognizable by his signature mustache and unforgettable energy. Eric was phenomenal from start to finish. He guided us through the menu with enthusiasm, kept the drinks flowing smoothly, and somehow managed to make every one of us feel like VIPs. His recommendations on the adult beverages were spot-on, and the flatbreads and burgers were absolutely next-level, flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. On top of all that, Eric graciously took group photos for us when we asked. He didn’t just snap a shot; he picked fantastic backgrounds and angles that made the memories even more special. It was a night of fellowship, food, and fun, and Eric played a huge part in that. The Willard Rooftop Lounge is a true must visit in the city, and if you're lucky enough to have Eric as your server, you're in for a 10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back whenever we're in town!

A great spot to dive and enjoy views of downtown Raleigh. Food was amazing. I had the barbecue bacon burger which was delicious and even the fries were cooked to perfection. Prices were not terrible and the views were spectacular. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing drinks and food . We had a group of 4 and each had a cocktail off the menu and some sharable appetizers and that was plenty of food for a light lunch . The view is beautiful from the roof top day or night . The tall steeples and sky high buildings are a work of art to see high in the sky . I highly recommend this place. Yes it's pricey , but it's so worth it 😁

The chic and stylish space provides a luxurious lounge experience with plush couches and cozy tables both indoors and on the rooftop patio. It has been recognized as one of the best bars in Raleigh, known for its party-like atmosphere and fantastic open-air setting.
I came in close to close on Sunday Night. This was cute, I liked it. The rooftop probably is great when it is not cold as I really couldnt feel the heaters. They were kind enough tp let me chill in their bar downstairs even though it was closed

The Highgarden was awesome!!! We went here for my wife’s birthday. Everything was top notch and well done from the coordination with the event planner to the attention and service from the manager and staff. I booked a VIP package and the food and drinks were excellent. They even offered to cut the cake I brought and light the candles. The music and mood were great and the views, spectacular. Most importantly, my wife loved her birthday party. Will definitely consider for our next event.

High garden is the place to be on any weekend! Fantastic atmosphere and wonderful music. Has a beautiful view on the roof top of the sky and a great view of downtown. We had the best servers in the world Paul and Lorenzo they are phenomenal! They always make us feel welcome and they have the brightest smiles! Never a bad time at high garden!

I recently had the pleasure of being served by Daniela, and I must say, she is truly exceptional at what she does. From the moment I approached the bar, Daniela greeted me with a warm smile and a friendly demeanor that immediately made me feel welcome. Her knowledge of cocktails and drink recommendations is impressive. I was unsure of what to order, but Daniela took the time to ask about my preferences and suggested a cocktail that turned out to be fantastic. She clearly has a deep understanding of mixology and takes pride in crafting each drink with care. What stood out the most was her efficiency and attentiveness, even during a busy night. Despite the crowd, Daniela managed to serve drinks promptly without compromising quality. She maintained a great balance between being quick and engaging with customers, ensuring everyone felt attended to. Moreover, Daniela's professionalism shone through in how she handled a slightly difficult customer with patience and grace. She diffused the situation calmly, ensuring the rest of the patrons could continue enjoying their evening without disruption. Overall, Daniela's exceptional service, friendly attitude, and expertise make her a standout bartender. I highly recommend experiencing her top-notch service firsthand. Cheers to Daniela for making the night memorable!

I have never had a bad experience with Daniela as a bartender. She is great with customer service, and seems very attentive. I came in on a slow night and she made the night with her welcoming personality! Definitely recommend coming and seeing her!

Daniela was the sweetest bartender I have ever met, this was my FIRST time at Highgarden and I truly felt at home, the causal conversation but attentiveness was above and beyond. I will definitely be returning and bring all my friends, cheers!

Nice, open, well decorated spot for drinks and snacks. Get the corndogs. All of the food was good, but eating corn dogs with your friends as an adult pairs nicely with a bottle of wine, or 3.

The rooftop bar 10th and Terrace in Raleigh offers a breathtaking view of the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts and a surrounding green space. The bar serves up modern American fusion dishes with added North Carolina flavor, and menu items like smoked Jerusalem artichoke dip and crostini are all-time crowd favorites.
Went here with coworkers on a Friday evening and the views were amazing. It’s a lowkey spot and not crowded. It’s upstairs of the hotel. Easy to find and parking across the street. The fish tacos were amazing! My coworker had the short rib tacos I believe and they loved it. I would come back in. Service was good. We did make a reservation beforehand.

Went to Tenth and Terrace during restaurant week. Originally had a table inside but the rain held off and they allowed us to switch to a patio table. Nice terrace with a view of Raleigh. Two of us picked the restaurant week trio of small plates and the rest selected regular menu small plate items. Nothing was bad but nothing was outstanding either. The favorite was the shredded pork sliders (not on the regular menu). We also had the Roasted Honey Garlic Winds, Roasted Thai Brussels, Argentinian Kabobs. I would recommend coming for the view and maybe a small bite but saving your appetite for another restaurant.

Ordered drinks before a concert at Red Hat. It was packed and some of the seating is wonky. We sat on what can only be described as an end cap A small bench that connected 2 other benches, in the shape of a U If I sat back, I would have been leaning on another guest. Weird. Spouse ordered an old fashioned and friend ordered an espresso martini (see pics) we didn't order food, it was so packed I thought it may take too long. Drinks were good. Would love to sit at the bar next time!!

My wife surprised me for my birthday with reservations! The flatbreads, tacos, wings, and desserts were all fantastic! One of the best views in Raleigh!

Beautiful views and amazing ambiance. There are ceiling mounted heaters for a warm experience. Buffalo chicken flatbread was very delicious.

Average food meets terrible atmosphere. We booked a brunch table for 3 and were the only 3 in the restaurant. We were told we could sit at a very small cocktail table which sits very low OR on a sofa. Neither had a view of downtown. The table was so small we ran out of room for our drinks. There wasn’t room for all of us to put our feet under the table. And standing up from those chairs was impossible. For that absolutely abysmal experience, we paid $90 for 3 people. We will never go back. After all we were paying for the view. Not only did we not get a view but the table was next to impossible to eat at and the food was nothing special. Save your money and go to a real rooftop restaurant.

Still FIVE STARS for 10th and Terrace atop the Residence Inn on Salisbury Street in downtown Raleigh! The eastern view (enjoy sun and moon rises) and looking down on Memorial Auditorium are great! The staff is very good and the mock-tail (DD) and food were above average. We had the Short Rib Tacos and Roasted Thai Brussels (see menu). The chocolate desert special was super! Street parking and deck parking next door are easily available. See menu and photos...

We recently celebrated my wife’s birthday at Tenth & Terrace, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the stunning view and the warm atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic. The short rib tacos were a standout, and the whipped feta appetizer was pure bliss. We also loved the roasted garlic and brie, which was just amazing. But what truly set the evening apart was the personal touch. When I made the reservation, I mentioned it was my wife’s first birthday without her mom, who had recently passed away. The staff remembered this detail and made the evening so special. They surprised her with a complimentary dessert to take home, which was such a thoughtful gesture that we deeply appreciated. Our server, Theresa, was phenomenal. She was incredibly attentive, always there the moment we needed anything, and made us feel so well taken care of. All in all, Tenth & Terrace gave us a beautiful, heartfelt evening that we’ll remember for a long time. We can’t recommend it enough, especially with the wonderful service from Theresa!

Went for lunch with my mom and friend and it was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday at lunchtime. Good vegetarian options, my friend enjoyed the black bean burger on pita. I loved the firecracker shrimp Mac and cheese. My mother enjoyed her Irish breakfast very much as well. We shared the spinach dip and that was a nice starter. This place is great, been around for ages, has a good St. Patrick's "bloc party" and service is friendly. It could use some upgrades on seating for the lower levels. The chairs and booths show their age and aren't the most comfortable.

Came here last night after a few drinks at Dram and Draught and the food was excellent! Wish I took a picture but the fish and chips were great and my partner’s wings were great! Even better than that was the gentleman working late-night wearing glasses. SUPER kind and helpful - helped us move tables right away and got everyone’s order spot on without writing anything down. Very on top of service and just a breath of fresh air! Thanks for providing a nice dining experience for us, Hibernian 😇😇😇

The Hibernian in Downtown Raleigh is phenomenal. I'd give six stars if I could (I think that's a thing maybe in the old Dunstin Checks in movie??). The GMs Keith and Sarah are beyond lovely and will make you feel right at home. Justin and Katie helped us out at our table and were attentive and lovely. Just be ready for Keith to pull up and start telling some fun crazy stories from his time in NYC or Ireland! The downstairs vibe is perfect where you feel that you can have an intimate conversation at a booth, and be chill, while upstairs is more lively, and the rooftop has so many nooks and crannies to sit. Definitely will be visiting again!!

Outstanding bar with great service. Rance is the best bartender ever! I love it here and can’t wait to come back. No food just delicious and flavorful cocktails. They are inside the sip n stroll area so you can take your drink to go!

The bartender was extremely friendly and helpful with explaining the menu. The summer 2024 cocktail The Peach Man was great, with the peach being more on the tart taste which mixed well. The peace was sourced locally from a farmers market. Great place to meet up for conversation.

The drinks were good as was the atmosphere. This place is a bit small but they accommodated 4 of us without any issues. The service was 50/50, we first were outside upstairs and the service was great, when we went downstairs the service dropped off quite a bit. Nothing terrible but we noticed it. It’s a nice place to have a few drinks and chat.

Jolie French Bistro in Raleigh offers a romantic dining experience with a secret rooftop space that overlooks the city. The restaurant serves classic French dishes such as steak frites, smoked trout rillettes, and seared garlic sausage. The intimate atmosphere features white linen tabletops, a marble bar, and blue and gold accents. Named after chef Scott Crawford's daughter, Jolie provides an elegant setting for enjoying modern European cuisine.
You must make a reservation. This place is always booked. Have to say it's definitely a fine dining experience. The service is top notch and so friendly! There is even a sweet, gorgeous, college student working there who speaks French if you're in need of practice to speak French. Interestingly, there is like a bar in the basement so you can feel the floor shake sometimes 😂. Everything is amazing, tartare, escargot, steak and fish. Drinks are special by the bartender so be sure to try one of his limited time craft drinks. Definitely 10 out of 10 must go, in Raleigh.

"B" took great care of us on our first visit. We had a wonderful time and a big part of that was her attentive service. Thank you for making my birthday an evening to remember. The French onion soup was amazing and my wife's gnocchi dish was fantastic. It's a great place for a date night in an intimate environment. You may even end up having a fun conversation with the table next to you. 😃

Love love love this place. Chef Summer, Amanda, and Elliot are amazing—every dish is absolutely delicious, carefully composed, and beautifully executed. Their teamwork is like watching a choreographed dance. The hospitality here is bar none. Steve the bartender and Hostess Molly make you feel instantly welcomed. I am allergic to alcohol. Steve makes great mocktails and has a nice selection of different flavored sodas. Jolie isn’t just dinner—it’s a reminder of how joyful dining can be when food, service, and atmosphere come together perfectly. And why I have a standing reservation every week! Thank you Jolie!

Steven was by far the most attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming bartender I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. He recommended great seasonal specials on offer and expertly paired each course with a suitable drink to really bring out the flavours of each dish. I went with the escargot and a rabbit leg special. I highly recommend a bar seat to watch the kitchen staff whip up the menu and get inspired for what to order next! 10/10

Who knew this restaurant was hiding on this tiny corner, and who knew they had a rooftop?? The food was delicious, especially the mussels in white wine sauce, and the rooftop atmosphere was pretty. Our waitress was friendly and seemed genuinely excited about the food on the menu. This was a great way to spend our anniversary ❤️

We had such a wonderful dining experience here! Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The little gem salad was fresh and vibrant, with crunchy cucumbers, toasted hazelnuts, and creamy cheese. It was a perfect balance of textures and flavors. We got the foie gras that was on the specials. GO for this right now. There was a sweet jelly on top and the flavors went together so well. The poulet au vinaigre was perfectly golden and juicy, served over rice and charred cabbage with just the right amount of sauce. Flavors were hearty, comforting, and elevated at the same time. The pan roasted halibut was our favorite, with a perfectly crisp skin and a creamy, herby/dill sauce that paired so well with the potatoes and greens. On top of the delicious food, the ambiance was warm and vibey. Everything tasted thoughtfully prepared and balanced. Perfect date night spot!
Ansley H — Google review
From start to finish, our meal was truly outstanding. Our server was absolutely exceptional—she brought such a fun, engaging, and personable energy to the table, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Her recommendations were spot-on and genuinely elevated both our meal and our overall visit. Every dish we ordered was excellent—perhaps even better than on previous visits. It really feels like the kitchen has everything dialed in perfectly right now. The halibut, in particular, was remarkable—possibly the best fish dish I’ve ever had. And I can’t forget to mention my mocktail, the “Je Suis Blue,” which was incredibly delicious and memorable. All in all, it was a fantastic dining experience that exceeded expectations in every way.

Tin Roof is a lively bar and music venue located in downtown Raleigh. It offers familiar food, beer, live music, DJs, and a rooftop patio for visitors to enjoy. With an approximate capacity of 300 people, it provides an intimate experience for concertgoers. The venue hosts various events such as karaoke nights, DJ performances, and live music acts featuring both local and touring talent.
First time visiting the Tin Roof. Loved the atmosphere, decor, and lighting, etc. The staff downstairs was very attentive, but when we moved upstairs to the outside deck, the bartender seemed to only help and speak to people who were seated right at the bar. Being able to sit outside and view the street was very nice. We were unaware that they offered food until we were leaving and saw one table eating. We were not offered menus or asked about food. If we knew, we would have probably ordered food.

Vibes are good. They always have good live music. I will advise just like every bar on Glenwood I would recommend paying cash. Got 2 doubles with a card and was charged $40 then we went back to a different bartender and was charged $20 for the same drinks when I paid cash. We haven’t had the food there yet but I’ve seen it coming out and it all looks amazing and the fact they have food late in the night is awesome. Over all I would definitely recommend this bar. Down stairs is more Neighbourhood bar upstairs is more nightclub vibes so you get two different bars in one!

I’m saying 4 stars for now, we def will be back earlier in the day but we showed up on a Saturday around 830 expecting to sit down and eat. I was confused when we walked in, it was packed, jammin music and ppl were dancing. But no one was eating lol so we stayed for a drink and dipped. The atmosphere is top notch. They accidentally made my wife’s drink twice, idk if they gave us one for free or just super inexpensive , but our bill was only $16 for two drinks. I’m impressed!

Came in to watch football with my family on a Sunday. 1/3 of the TVs has really awful music videos on. Bartender who put our order in decided to smoke a bowl and leave before our order came out. The food took an hour and my brother’s food was missing (never put in). The next bartender who was taking over for her called my brother a liar when we confronted about the food mistake. He was very unapologetic about how awful our experience was. Place and staff was a total joke. Plenty of other spots in town to get actual service at.

I was filling in for the Bassist of the Tricia Ann Band. We were band #2 of 3 that evening. The waitstaff and bartender were friendly and took good care of our guests. The sound guy was cool, and he knew what he was doing. I recommend Tin Roof in Raleigh NC as both a place to eat and chill as well as a venue to perform, and I hope to be back again.

Located in the heart of Glennwood is a music-driven bar complete with food, dance, and just pure fun. We hung out here and had some drinks and fries while waiting for our reservation at a nearby restaurant. Street parking is available, with the standard 2-hour parking Monday thru Friday. They have a rooftop, an open bartop (where you can sit and watch people walk along), and plenty of indoor seating (to listen to whoever is on stage). When we were there, they had an amazing performer who sang covers by Tay-tay and other recognizable artist. I say amazing because he must have sang a laundry list of songs in his falsetto for a couple of hours. The performer had everyone moving, and I felt really at home there. They had other artists who sang country, so don't worry if Daris Rucker is more your wagon wheel. Service was friendly and laid back. I had a Kentucky mule that I would recommend. It's probably one of the best, and you could end up sipping all afternoon! The fries were good, and they had a good selection of bar food that was easy to order and very shareable. Midas 5-stars for a fun place to be with other people looking for the same!

Ordered a lamb burger and a drink. Asked for the lamb burger to be well done but not burnt. It came out burnt. They took care of the ticket. However, more importantly to me was for the chef to understand the difference between the two. Our server was great. The atmosphere was nice. Love the little lounge area.

Whiskey Kitchen was one of the highlights of our recent Raleigh trip. The large, open air space and skylights create a nice ambiance to have a round or two. Without question, Beer & Loathing is one of the greatest cocktails I've ever had. Five ingredients (bourbon, cynar, lemon, honey, ipa} that blend perfectly together. The other drinks were equally thoughtful. At one point we chatted with who I'm assuming was the owner/manager and asked about the history of the building. Very pleasant guy who shared my enthusiasm for B&L. If the food is on the same level as the drinks this place is a 10/10

You HAVE to try this place!!! Incredible selection of whiskies (including rare finds). The Lamb burger was exceptional, and the fries with smoked Ketchup were amazing. Best find in Raleigh, thus far. Even my wife (who doesn’t drink bourbon) enjoyed her “S’more Of What?” Cocktail.

Brooke was our server and was good. I come here usually twice a year because my wife loves it. But the menu is pretty bad, and It’s too expensive for the and they won’t give Brussels if someone’s allergic to asparagus.. that’s just wrong and uncool. HOWEVER, the most egregious thing about this place? They have tons of booze and beer. But they not ONLY DONT have Stella Artois on tap they ONLY HAVE non alcoholic Stella. That’s obscene and a crime against humanity.

Wye Hill is such a great spot in Raleigh! The location is unbeatable — with plenty of seating, a relaxed, dog- and kid-friendly atmosphere, and one of the best views of the Raleigh skyline. The menu has a lot of great options, but I especially recommend the Wagyu Beef Burger and their Bloody Mary — both are excellent.

We had such a great experience at Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing! The views of downtown Raleigh are absolutely stunning! It was the perfect spot for dinner or drinks outdoors, and there’s plenty of space for groups to relax and enjoy the evening. I ordered the pan seared salmon, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor with the curry sauce honestly one of the best dishes I’ve had in Raleigh. I also tried their Mirasol cocktail — fresh, citrusy, and beautifully balanced. Every detail — from the food to the drinks to the atmosphere — was top-notch, and the service from Jordan and the manager Veronica was excellent. It’s clear the team at Wye Hill really cares about creating a great experience for their guests. I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for amazing food, great drinks, and unbeatable views of the city!

Visited on Feb 25, 2025 I visited Wye Hill for the first time for an early dinner with a friend. The outside patio was pretty popular, so we decided to sit inside which was quite empty, but we didn't mind. The dining room was very small, but cute. We ordered the everything brussels and dill pickle pimento cheese to share. For the entree we both ordered the black rice gran bowl, one with blackened salmon and the other blackened shrimp. One thing I can say about the food, is that looks can be deceiving. When the food came out everything looked amazing, however there was a lack in flavor. The brussel sprouts came out to chared and the bottom of the bowl was filled with grease. We did enjoy the pimento cheese, but wanted to save room for our entree. The entree's were just okay. Not memorable! I think a sauce to go on top would have helped a lot.

This is a fun place! It has outdoor seating that makes it enjoyable to sit outside! The mocktails are delish! My buddies did really enjoy the beers that they brewed. Our server was so helpful and patient! She helped answer all our questions and very patient! I didn’t have any food but it looked delicious!

Really beautiful spot with a perfect view of downtown. September was our wait person and she did a very good job. Food was good. Bbq fries had too much coating and the Farmers Burger was ok. Salmon Cesar salad was fresh and salmon was cooked quite nicely. Deviled egg started was well done. They were out of a couple of beers. Not a great idea for a brewery.

My wife Jonnin and I visited Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing because we’d heard it was the perfect spot to catch the sunset—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. When we arrived, there was a short wait for an outdoor table, so we put our names down and grabbed a drink at the bar. The beer selection leaned lighter, which isn’t usually my wife’s preference (she’s more of a dark beer fan), but Melany, the bartender, went above and beyond by offering to head down to the cellar for a limited run of a discontinued stout. We told her not to go through the trouble, but that thoughtfulness really stood out. Instead, we enjoyed a pair of IPAs—both fresh, crisp, and delicious. When we finally sat outside, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. It was a comfortable 70 degrees with a light breeze, and the sunset set the entire skyline on fire. My wife couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the view was. As for the food—outstanding. We ordered the hummus and pita, Brussels sprouts, and the wings with Dr Pepper BBQ: * Hummus – Creamy, smooth, with just a hint of cumin that elevated the dish and made it unique. * Brussels sprouts – Fearless. Most chefs try to tame the bitterness, but Wye Hill embraced it, surrounding the sprouts with bold flavors. The charred leaves gave it a crunchy, cheesy, buttery quality that was one of a kind. Easily the best Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had. * Wings – Magical. The Dr Pepper BBQ sauce was incredible, and instead of just crispy, the wings had a deep, satisfying crunch. Flavor and texture in perfect harmony. The service and atmosphere made everything even better. Our server, Ailine, was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The whole team worked together seamlessly, which is something we really appreciate. But the real standout was Melany. After we were seated, she surprised us by bringing over two glasses and a chilled can of that discontinued imperial stout she had mentioned earlier. She had gone down to the cellar anyway, just to make sure my wife got to enjoy a dark beer. That small but meaningful gesture left such an impression—Jonnin said it was the first time in a long while that she felt a place truly cared about us as customers. Between the incredible food, the sunset views, and the staff who go the extra mile, Wye Hill has won us over. We’ll definitely be back, hungry for more.

Cocktail bar
Watts & Ward is a basement cocktail bar with a vintage library ambiance, offering tufted couches and artisanal drinks. This 6,000-square-foot speakeasy exudes the spirit of 1920s America underground, featuring leather seating, vintage artwork, rustic tables, dim lighting, and history-filled bookshelves. The bar provides various seating options including spacious booths for groups and hosts low-key jazz events.
Really cool vibes here!! They check your ID at the top of the stairs entrance and then you go down and into the place. Wall down a hallway. It really does have speakeasy feels. One of the seating areas has blue velvet seating. The other has leather and wood. Very swanky. Bar service and drink menu were great. Perfect place for a drink before or after dinner.
Briana M — Google review
First off for those not from the area, there is a law that requires you to be a "member". Don't worry you can join at the door and it was $2. It ensured no issues inside as everyone shows an ID at the door. The cocktails were great as was the service. Inside and outdoor seating options. You really feel like you are in a speak easy.
Terry T — Google review
Watts and Ward is a unique, upscale bar/lounge experience, but there are a couple of things I would note before going. They charge a one-time annual membership fee of $2.00 (2025) per person at this time of posting, which isn’t posted at the entrance. Additionally, they scan your ID into their system for membership—a heads-up would have been appreciated for both. The space itself is impressive, with what seemed like three large bars spread across the basement. It’s clear they can accommodate a lot of people, and I can imagine the atmosphere being really cool on busier nights. The drink menu is dope, offering a wide variety of unique and expertly crafted options. They even go above and beyond to create custom drinks that are requested. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, answering all our questions and making the experience enjoyable. It’s a great spot (with a lot of comfortable seating) to meet people, enjoy some music, and savor top-notch drinks. Overall, I’d recommend Watts and Ward if you’re local or plan to visit multiple times throughout the year to make the membership worth it. It’s a fun and memorable spot for a night out!

After 🥘 dinner, decided to walk around to explore a bit on this crisp August evening to help my food digest. Stumbled upon a line that drew my curiosity. Watts & Wards is easy to miss or pass by if not paying attention. Though if you are alert /aware, this is a cool hidden gem. There’s a small membership fee to gain entrance. The vibes are cool. You’ll go under ground to lead into an oasis of good 🎶 music, cool 😎 & chill people and bar stations placed strategically throughout. This was absolutely a happy 😊 accidental find. Met 2 other new visitors and chatted a bit before heading out. I’d definitely return. Unika B. & Co.

Read a review that its $2 for an annual membership, but $6 per entry otherwise? Would've been nice to know. Our group was just walking by from Brewery Bhavana and decided to check it out. Other than that, this is a fun basement bar with speakeasy vibes. There was live music at the time we went. Bartenders seem to take their time. Plenty of different types of seating. Accomodates large groups of friends in an open environment or couples in more intimate settings. Wasn't as sticky as other speakeasys (which is always a good thing).
Rasikanand H — Google review
Me and my husband went for the first time on Sunday. It was such a nice vibe . The atmosphere is so chill. I love the dim lighting inside as well as the decor. There was a live jazz band set up outside. It was very comfortable lounge seating to choose from as well as a bar outside. We will definitely go again.
Johnisha W — Google review
Wobbly stools, torn apart couches, and ultimately a lounge that pretends to be a speakeasy while posting a bouncer outside charging a cover… I really wanted to love this place, but in the end it’s just okay. Worth going to once but certainly not worth frequenting. No servers seemed to be around, but also approaching the bar was met with indifference and being ignored by staff. When I eventually was served, the bartender had to dump out both drinks midway through preparing them and start over, because of mistakes in the recipe. Kudos to him for starting over, and his service was friendly, but it did not instill confidence in an already unimpressive experience. The drinks were okay, but not good enough to warrant the extra cost that the atmosphere also wasn’t warranting. In then end, I’m glad we went because I’d have felt like I missed out if we didn’t, but because we did go… I know that I wouldn’t have missed out on much.

Young Hearts Private Events is a downtown distillery in Raleigh, founded by the team behind Trophy Brewing and State of Beer. The venue offers various spaces, including an upstairs patio for intimate dinners and a street-level bar for casual hangouts. Specializing in clear spirits like agave-based tequila and unique gin flavors, Young Hearts also serves a diverse drink menu and excellent food. With its newly remodeled facility, the distillery provides house-made spirits perfect for crafting cocktails or enjoying on their own.
Young Hearts was a phenomenal venue to work with. We got married on a beautiful October afternoon out on their covered rooftop and they made the place look spectacular. We had a very small wedding and it was very intimate, yet our awesome Young Hearts event staff made us feel like they were there and not there... depending on what was needed. The food was excellent and our bartender was incredibly personable. Working with them before the wedding could not have been easier. Brittany was super communicative and friendly. She outlined all of our options as well as how they could adapt if we requested it. The food and beverage packages made it all so easy to do a micro wedding. They even let us play with date and time a bit to suit our budget. The space was beautiful, and any stress we had was not because of Young Hearts. They made it easy, beautiful, and special.

Everything was perfect. The food, the drinks, the staff, the space - everything went how I pictured it to be! Planning with the Young Hearts team was a breeze, there were very responsive and helpful in every aspect. Highly recommend having your wedding reception here 🫶🏻

THE BEST STAFF AND EVENT SPACE! My husband and I had our wedding reception here in July 2024. The staff were unbelievably friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The space was perfect for the 70 people we hosted and the food was a huge hit. The bar was so amazing as well. The Young Hearts team truly went above and beyond. They made the day far less stressful for me and I can’t recommend this place more!

We hosted both our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Young Hearts in December 2023 and truly don't have enough amazing things to say about the whole experience! Emma was awesome to work with. She was very responsive, transparent, and informative throughout the planning process which was super helpful while planning from across the country! It was extra special to host some of our wedding events here because my husband and I used to come here when it was Busy Bee when we first started dating and were obsessed with their tater tots and dancing at The Hive! Our guests raved about how good the food and drinks were and we were so excited we got to relive our Busy Bee days with a loaded tot bar. The A/V setup was great and they had a microphone for speeches, let us play our own Spotify playlist, and even display a slideshow. They also had some simple decor that looked beautiful and was one less thing we had to plan for. We used the upstairs bar and outdoor patio and our guests loved utilizing both spaces and seeing the awesome downtown view. The transition from dinner (bridal party and immediate family) to the welcome party (all guests invited) was seamless and the staff was so kind and helpful. We all had an amazing time and it was the perfect start to our wedding weekend! Could not recommend Young Hearts enough for your next event!

I went for the 1 st time during restaurant week. I had such a great time because I added the drink pairing. Every drink was excellent. The meal was great I got the black eyed peas hummus, chicken sliders and the strawberry cake with gin icing. The pineapple dessert was so amazing.. We were on the rooftop - beautiful spot.

In town for my niece’s graduation from NC State and we came across this gem! Server was super nice and sweet! She was new to the team but did a great job! Loved the atmosphere with a cool classy vibe. We were going to just have a drink but it turned into us getting a booth with friends. Wide selection of spirits with a good looking menu. We enjoyed the charcuterie board and 3 rounds of drinks. Definitely coming back!

There's so much to love about this place. Fantastic food menu & expertly crafted cocktails along with the relaxed - but elevated- vibe of Trophy & Busy Bee. I judge a place by the integrity of their Old Fashioned and for that alone you need to visit. Really enjoyed sitting at the bar and chatting with our servers while watching them make our drinks. Raleigh thanks you Young Heart.

I love Young Hearts as a bar (and their gin is *chef's kiss*) but this review is for Young Hearts as an event space. I had the pleasure of photographing a welcome party for a wedding that was hosted at Young Hearts, and it was so much fun. The space worked great, even with as large of a crowd as my couple had, and the staff was so organized and kind. And of course everyone raved about the drinks.

Restaurant
Lynnwood Grill & Brewing Company is a popular spot known for its pub grub, house-brewed drafts, and live music. The slick sports bar features TVs, a roof deck, and patio where visitors can enjoy great food and craft beer while soaking in the relaxing atmosphere. Established in 2004 in West Raleigh, it has become a local favorite with its delicious pizzas and sandwiches. The brewery's dedication to quality is evident in every flavorful beer they brew.
The buffalo dip appetizer is delicious and the sampler have great portions for a whole table! We couldn't even finish it. As always the food was great, especially with people who have a craving for bar food like we did. They have a great selection of beer and the restaurant is always clean with great service. I've been here a hundred times and will definitely keep coming!
Mackenzie G — Google review
Stopped in on a Monday evening, with family, for some dinner. Our meal consisted of the pretzel bites and fried pickle chips for the appetizer. We had an order of sweet and sour wings, extra hot wings, a buffalo chicken wrap, and an orange and blue salad with raspberry dressing. I tried two of their on-tap hazy IPA's, and family had some home-made root beer. The beers were fantastic, and the root beer was delicious if you are a root beer fan. The appetizers, salad and wrap all received excellent comments from family that ordered them. The wings were cooked perfectly, nice and crispy, but here is my feedback on them: Sweet and sour was oddly very oily and didn't have much flavor. (See picture for reference) I honestly thought they brought me naked wings until I saw the oil in the bottom of the plate. The extra hot were decent, but also lightly coated. If these wings had the amount of extra hot sauce at the bottom of the plate as the sweet and sour, it would have made them much better (I prefer my wings lightly swimming in sauce). The extra hot seemed to be a low heat. Not hot enough to make you need to drink or feel like your lips or tongue was on fire, for those of us that regularly eat hot wings and love the burn... Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere and service was excellent! We will be recommending to other family to give it a try as well, and I'll likely stop back in for some more delicious beers and try something else on their pretty robust menu.

First visit was awesome! Waitress was very nice and burger was not overcooked, pink and flavorful. Five star visit! Second visit, opposite experience. I asked the waitress a question and she said “I just work here” and when I ordered a burger medium, I was told medium-well or well-done only. I replied “that’s odd” being last time the burger was medium. Manager confirmed they only cook burgers MW or W and “that yours was just randomly undercooked last time.” So..for an almost $20 burger, that would be a no-go. Barely a one star visit.

Ordered takeout. Very disappointed for many reasons. $31 for a burnt pizza??? Also ordered pretzel bites and the cheese “dip” was so thin and watery, it spilled on the way home (see photo). Have never had such a mess. Also, guy at take out counter made a big deal about opening up every single one of the boxes to show that the correct food was prepared but when I had to use one of their grimy 2 pens to sign my receipt, I asked for hand sanitizer and they couldn’t find any. So, if your employees have none to keep their hands clean, don’t go opening up all my food boxes! That is so unsanitary!!!!!!

I got the firehouse burger-it said extra hot sauce but it's not really hot at all (I'm Indian so maybe it's just my taste pallette) it tasted very fresh! My husband got the angus burger and he liked it. Loaded fries were awesome!!! House made chips were a nice addition to the burger. Also, my husband recommends putting the loaded fries in the burger Lol Nice little spot to sit outside and enjoy the weather and relax.

What a great Monday afternoon stop. Had the wings and ask for extra crispy and they were perfect and I love wings naked. Their amber beer is a breath of freshness. Our waitress was on point with her recommendation. Light refreshing with a great finish.

I hate to say it. I came in for a burger and a beer....good beer, bad burger. You guys have to do the burger right. It was a dry and hard thing. Thankful for lots of ketchup. I was on a deadline to get to a movie across the street so I ate and left. ADDED...Upon reflection overnight, Lynnwood spends a lot on brewing good beer. Hamburgers are just as important a flavor experience. "Hamburger and Beer". It's Americana. You can find people stopping for a hamburger in John Steinbeck's novel "The Grapes Of Wrath", set in the depression.

1st Vic the server was great. Attentive and personable. The food- pizza more of a ny style little bland. Fox Liquor Bar, located in Downtown Raleigh and owned by renowned chef Ashley Christensen, is a sophisticated taproom offering classic and contemporary cocktails. The subterranean bar provides a cozy and intimate setting with comfortable leather seating, making it perfect for intimate conversations or small group gatherings. In addition to its strong drinks, the bar also serves meat and cheese boards for those looking to fuel their night out.
Fox Liquor Bar is trying hard to become my favorite craft cocktail bar in Raleigh. Good service. A nice selection of delicious house cocktails. Talented bar tenders in a cozy basement bar. That alone puts Fox in the mix when talking about Raleigh’s craft cocktail scene. And then I had some snacks. OMG their bar snacks are next level delicious. The chicken hand pies are the best pasties I’ve had outside of Scotland. And the onion dip… let’s just say I will remember my life as the lost years I spent prior to trying the onion dip at Fox and the much happier and fulfilling years I’m certain to have just knowing that onion dip is out there.

Que's yearly bash is always nice. This is a nice 3 story place to hold an event. The downstairs bartender was on point but the second floor bartender could have put some more alcohol in my drink. I've been to soles twice now and have enjoyed myself each time. The club is 3 level high energy spot. The nights I went which were both Saturday nights was basically urban/hip hop centered. Dress code enforced. Two bars and a balcony for smoking and enjoying the views of downtown. A nice spot

It's a nice venue. Only two of the three floors were open. The music was awesome and a good mix of old/new. I especially liked the vibe of the rooftop. Cons: expensive the reserve cabanas ($800) and booths ($500) drink minimums, flooring on the rooftop was not heel friendly, restrooms were decent and plenty of staff present. I went for my 40th and had a blast!

I was there for a private event and the place was real nice. The employees were very attentive and being able to use the outdoor balcony was a plus since we were right in the middle of the downtown action you can see what's going on in the other lounges/bars. We didn't stay for the club but walking back it looked super packed and music was booming.

I enjoyed this club: the VIP servers were phenomenal, good music, diverse crowd. The only reduction in stars was due to 1. them scanning IDs *and* taking a picture of you just to get in. I've personally never experienced this before, and it was kind of awkward. 2. VIP section was a bit pricey for a slow night (500 for 8 people with an automatic 20% gratuity). They should reduce it down a bit on slow nights.

Delicious birria quesadilla! The drinks were good and strong, but what stood out to me the most was the absolutely immaculate music that was playing. Lots of rock en español, Spanish 90s classics, and chill vibes

I waited outside in a light sprinkle to check out Gallo Pelón. I was the first one through the door, and I was welcome by so many colorful faces of Frida Kalo, skeletons, and flowers. There was so much beauty in this restaurant. I took a seat at the bar as it had a plug and checked out their menu. You have to scan a QR code to access it, and it gives you a list of their drinks and food. Their food menu is not super extensive but has a focus on a few tacos, appetizers, and entrees. I couldn't decide between the guacamole and salsa with chips, but I was told by the waitress to go with the guacamole. It comes with a mix of three flavors of mango, cojita, and pepita (pumpkin seed). The manho was the best of the three. However, the quality was okay--it was a little runny for me, and there was nothing special about it. It was basic guacamole. I also got their chicken taco that was grilled to perfection and had a nice crunch to it as well. It could've used some salsa or creama. Looking back, I should've just gone with just the tacos. Minus a couple of stars for the weird atmosphere vibes and stares. The lady who served me did not seem happy that I was only drinking water despite ordering food. I wasn't drinking alcohol that evening, and I felt that force from the waiter as she asked me again and again about a drink. I think that this is a good place for just their drinks. I think the food is secondary to this and the taste and quality shows.

Great selection! My friend and I were staying at a hotel nearby and saw that this place was open and decided to check it out. We were there every night during our trip. They have some great wine and beer. Also have tastings available if you are into that. Prices were very reasonable as well.
Richard M — Google review
Great selection for a bottle shop. Unique beers on tap. But they also have arguably some of the best sandwiches in the area. You won’t be disappointed. I have had multiple and haven’t had one that’s not excellent. Outdoor seating is great! With sails to provide shade. The vibe is relaxing and enjoyable with vinyl providing the music indoors and out. Bathrooms are small and clean. They also have a Citrix bike rack right outside the shop.

Top Spot in Raleigh for a great Beer and Eats. Record Player is always spinning an Album!!

We stopped here to cool down with a nice cold beer and grab some water for our dog. The service was great and the staff was friendly. They only had ciders and seltzers that were gluten free though. I would have given them another star if they had at least some gluten free or gluten reduced beer offerings. The music playing was also a little too loud and aggressive for our taste. It made it difficult to actually hold a conversation, and we were sitting outside. The pricing was good though. Much lower or on par with other bottle shops. So we appreciated that!

Dram & Draught in downtown Raleigh, was highly regarded spot to me for drink enthusiasts, boasting an impressive selection of over 300 whiskeys, hand-crafted cocktails, local and regional draft beers (which I like to try), and a variety of wines. Reviews and word of mouth praise its diverse drink menu, catering to whiskey fanatics, craft beer lovers, and cocktail enthusiasts alike. The bar’s location makes it a convenient stop for locals and visitors. The atmosphere is described as lively yet classy, with a backlit wall of spirits creating an upscale vibe and outdoor seating ideal for date nights. The layout is relaxed and accessible, I was greeted with quick, friendly service from knowledgeable bartenders. Overall, Dram & Draught earns strong must visit for its drink variety, ambiance, and service, making it a top choice for a chill night out in downtown Raleigh.

My favourite bar for cocktails! I try a new drink every time and it turns out great. Service is fantastic and informed, I end up choosing well based on inputs. The wal-bar is so cool! 😎

We love checking this place out regularly. Great cocktails with knowledgeable outgoing bartenders. More polished and refined atmosphere than usual in Glenwood South bars. Love finding out what bottle is the "at cost pour of the day" on Sundays or having a night cap cocktail there after dinner date Saturday.

Nestled in a charming 1920s building, The Architect Bar & Social House is a vibrant gem in Raleigh's nightlife scene. This stylish venue boasts an inviting atmosphere with its brick-lined walls and ample comfortable seating, making it the perfect spot to unwind. Guests can enjoy an impressive selection of craft beers and inventive cocktails while soaking up live music or dancing the night away on the spacious dance floor.
Excellent bartenders! Fantastic service, and the best drinks we had all night during our bar crawl! They were also generous with the water, which I really appreciated since a lot of bars scoff at you when you ask for water! They had great music and a good atmosphere. We even saw that the light was on for the Green Light Bar (representing the green light at the end of Daisy Buchanan's dock in "The Great Gatsby"). Four members of our party were able to head back to the mini bar behind the bookcase, and ordered even more fabulous cocktails in a quaint little space holding perhaps enough seating for 20 people.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place completely by accident. When we found it, it was open but mostly empty and the host let us know about the speakeasy hidden behind bookcases so we gave it a go. First off, it’s got great atmosphere, cozy and inviting. We sat at the bar and the bartender was just amazing. There were a few other people in the bar but he was not busy and was personable, chatty and very knowledgeable regarding his craft. My favorite type of bartender. We were just one and done but both of our cocktails were delicious. The experience was great and we are looking forward to coming back.

Awesome bourbon. Great and very knowledgeable staff and bartenders! Was here for a business and bourbon event. It’s a very neat venue with an old school prohibition feel. There’s a speak easy thy you have to make a reservation to get into. YOU should do this! YOU should also come here to drink absolutely wonderful cocktails. If you want to learn about booze and cocktails, these guys are more than happy to educate you. Highly recommend!

Do NOT use your credit or debit card here. My friends and I ordered a drinks. I did not start a tab because I wasn’t planning on having more than 1 or 2 at the most. Drink was $11…I tipped $3. About an hour and a half later we went back to the bar for a 2nd drink…same price. My card was given to them twice. One of my friends said check your account because there is a $50 charge on mine. I looked at my account and there were 4 pending charges from The Architect! Two for $50 each and two for $35 each…a total of $170 in pending charges for 2 drinks that totaled less than $30. I did not start a tab so there shouldn’t have been any amount held. The bigger issue is nobody could explain to me why there were 4 charges made to my card. The manager or owner said they’ve been having that problem for a few weeks now. A few weeks!?? And you still haven’t figured out a way to NOT put multiple fraudulent pending charges on people’s cards!?? That is unacceptable! We went for open mic night on a Wednesday. If you ever decide to go BRING CASH and be sure to count your change!
Linda S — Google review
I hosted a private event there recently, and the vibe that we created here at The Architect fit very nicely. The staff was good to work with and the drinks were great. The only issue I had is that the stair lift chair did not work, so our older and more handicapped guests were at a disadvantage, due to the steep stairs. Other than that, I would recommend this place for younger crowds that want to have a good time in downtown Raleigh.
India F — Google review
This is a really cute establishment with a secret “speak easy”. The staff and security were extremely friendly and the drinks were very good. Prices are what you would expect. I would recommend this place and will definitely go back. If you want to visit the “speak easy”, it is best to get a reservation although we were able to get in for a few minutes without one; of course this depends on how busy they are.

Greenlight shot was definitely interesting...great if you love spice but the habanero definitely has a kick. Honey rose cocktail was delicious! Good variety of drinks. Ambiance is cozy
Riya S — Google review
Stopped by to get drinks for my husband's birthday. One of the persons in the group forgot to close their tab once we left. From what I've known if you don't close the tab it's about 15% or 20% taken out for gratuity which is fair. This person in the group who forgot to close the tab only had two drinks (Jack and Coke) but take $75 out of their card for two drinks and more the 20% of gratuity is unacceptable!! So please make sure to check your account once you leave! Don't recommend this place completely unprofessional.

Incredible Speakeasy. Bartender knew his craft like science. Top tier craft mixed drinks/cocktails like you've probably never had before. Ask the bartender to make you something off menu, you won't be disappointed. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great bar. My buddy and I stumbled on this place randomly, but honestly Green Light ended up being one of the better bars I’ve seen in downtown. 10/10 atmosphere, very small and intimate with low lighting. The drinks were excellent, and the bartenders were friendly. Will be back.

Truly came up on this gem by accident, but what a great accident to come by. The vibe, atmosphere, the coolness of everyone encountered was superb. Just walking in, super cool! Thank you Omar for being an Amazing & Attentive bartender! Make sure you ask him to make you one of his speciality cocktails. The Sour Diesel! FAV! Had 4 lol! Also, thanks Crystal for being so sweet and kind. Of course, can’t forget Olive Guy! 🤣

My partner and I came in for our anniversary, this was our first stop of the night. We sat at the bar and Omary was our bartender. He has an amazing attitude, sense of humor, and is a wizard behind the bar (seriously). My partner had a few different drinks, and loved them all. I had an espresso martini (dare I say the best one I’ve ever had) and then Omary recommended I try a butterscotch espresso martini, oh my was it wonderful. We had a blast here and we will definitely be coming back again!

Awesome Speakeasy! Very cozy with great vibes. We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking with bartender and watching him work his magic! He asked us what we liked and created his own concoctions for each of us. All of the cocktails were fantastic! Highly recommend spending a few hours enjoying cocktails here.

I have visited this venue several times and usually enjoy the atmosphere—it’s a great space, and the drinks are consistently well-crafted. However, my most recent experience was disappointing. The lead bartender played only Bruno Mars on repeat throughout the evening, despite multiple guests voicing their discomfort. The lack of musical variety made it hard to stay engaged, and I ended up leaving after finishing just one round. Plus my visit associates lost interest in the space.

La Terrazza, located on The Dillon rooftop, offers a blend of Mediterranean and Southern Italian cuisine with a focus on elevated urban dining. The menu features a variety of dishes such as tuna tartare, burrata, cheesy cauliflower, pizzas, and homemade pastas. The beverage program is also noteworthy. While the restaurant boasts gorgeous skyline views and an outdoor area, some guests found the indoor ambiance to be loud.
We celebrated 38 years here last night. What a beautiful restaurant with rooftop views. We asked for an inside window table and we were given just that. Our drinks, Beet salad and bread with dipping oil were a great way to begin. Anna was our server and she was very helpful with menu items and choices. My husband had pesto pasta with scallops and I chose the spinach and cheese ravioli in a cream sauce. Both were beautifully prepared and were yummy. We highly recommend La Terrazza. Thank you Anna!

La Terrazza is such a gorgeous rooftop spot in Raleigh with stunning city views. The atmosphere is modern and elegant, perfect for date night or catching up with friends over drinks. The pasta especially stood out, perfectly cooked with a rich pesto sauce and roasted tomatoes. The pizza had a nice thin crust and plenty of toppings, great for sharing. Service was friendly but a little slow at times, and drinks are on the pricier side, but the experience and ambiance make it worth it. Definitely recommend if you want great food with one of the best views in the city.

You can see over Raleigh in a beautiful Skyline. Beautiful decor and lighting. Great date spot or we went to celebrate a friends birthday. I got the Salmon special with potatoes and asparagus and we shared a few different desserts. Had a lovely time!

Had the pleasure of dining at La Terrazza for the first time last night and received the best service from Patrick. He went over the menu with us in great detail, gave great recommendations. Talked about how they actually import the flour from Italy! The pizza we had was actually made for the queen. So many fun little facts during the night. Food was a 10/10. We’re got The Queen pizza the crust was so crispy. The Aperol Spritz and Espresso Martinis were also fantastic. Then to top it all off you have the amazing view from the roof top. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to fell like they’ve escaped Raleigh for a little while.

Went for my friend birthday celebration. When we walked in I felt beautiful. We had our own photographer who was able to get great shots . The drinks were amazing. I had the strawberry lemon drop. It was so good the entire table ordered one . The atmosphere was breathtaking taking . Very nice grown crowd . No kids running around etc made it even more relaxing. Sometimes you just want an adult environment. The food was okay I ordered the steak 🥩 which was undercooked ( my fault as it’s so thick I don’t think it could be cooked all the way through) . The broccoli 🥦 and mash potatoes were good. My friends got the lamb cops and salmon 🍣 which looked delicious and by the way the plates were cleaned , I would say it was good

Everything was 10/10! The restaurant is rooftop with an indoor and outdoor patio seating area. The outdoor patio area also seemed to have AC and it was covered. Our server was great, super knowledgeable, and if he didn’t know, he said he’d get an answer for us! The food was delicious. The branzino was a special and the potatoes were soooo yummy. The lasagna was also delicious! Def a great place for a date night or celebrating!

Beautiful location, with great food, a very chill vibe. The service was kind of all over the place, we sat at the bar outside and had no consistent person helping us, with one person completely abandoning us, the other who was nice but completely ignored us later and a third who was sweet enough to finally help us get boxes, close out and get out of there lol If you know you're going there ahead of time, I'd recommend reserving a table, you might get better more dedicated service. But still worth a visit for the views!

Visitors have praised the meticulously curated details and fantastic food and drinks served at this establishment.
The food was so delicious! Very flavorful. As soon as we took a bite we knew this chef was not your typical chef. From starters to entree & dessert…it exceeded our expectations! The rooftop scene and ambiance was great. The chef took a few minutes to speak to us about the plates we selected. He has taken the menu to another level. I highly suggest to come check it out. Not just for the drinks, but for the savory food.

Elevated bar food but not as tasty as I’d hoped. Cool vibes. Not my favorite place but I’d go again if something was being held there. The appetizer shrimp were flavorful. Everything else I saw other people order looked good but not GREAT! No one was raving about their dishes. Our waiter, Remy, was cool and patient. He checked on us at all of the right times!

Very nice ambiance. Thankfully my best friend and I had reservations for 8pm because by 8:30 it was busy. This was on a Friday. We planned to sit outside but it was raining so we sat at the bar. Our bartender was quick, attentive and she made delicious drinks. I ordered the NC Crab dip and the portion was plentiful with pieces of crab in each bite. My friend ordered the Italian pie which she enjoyed. The rooftop overlooks the city and is very picturesque. Important to note, the bathroom was clean. As far as parking we had to park along the street and walk a short distance to the Hyatt hotel it’s located in. The surrounding area is clean and seems safe. All in all we enjoyed our time at High Rail and will definitely come back.

Attended for 2025 Triangle’s Restaurant Week, although our sever knew nothing about a prix fix menu dedicated for this. Was served an ice 🧊 cold glass of water that tasted a bit strange in my opinion. ( I have a whole home filtration system installed home) I guess all water this isn’t from my house or a bottle tastes as such. The ambiance is beautiful. The menu is simple. I ordered a 🍕 pizza. It tastes good, nice presentation. The restroom is small, only 2 stalls. There’s also an unusual smell in this restaurant, I can’t place my nose on it. It was a decent experience, but I have no plans on returning Unika B. & Co.

I visited HRR with a few girlfriends this past weekend. They are located on the 7th floor inside the Hyatt. You get there by private elevator just beyond the lobby. Reservations are recommended and valet is available as well as a public parking deck behind Big Daddy's and street parking. We were sat in the outside patio and had Parker as our server. Besides it being extremely humid outside, the whole experience was fantastic. The food was delicious and the drinks were as well. Parker was working double time and helping so many tables that we sometimes had to wonder where he was. He tried his absolute best with what he had. The scenic view once night fell was picturesque. I would revisit soon to try their cheese tortellini since it was not available when we went.

I most certainly will park in the garage area again because it’s right next the train station, but the lady who works in the building. I don’t know what her name is. I seen her on my way back down to the pay-station. She seemed disinterested with helping anyone. I told her my car wouldn’t start and she looked at me as if I was a criminal trying to snatch her purse. Luckily I had a portable jumper in the back of my car. Had to google how to get into my own trunk without fob key. I couldn’t access the back because obviously my battery was dead, but a little customer service wouldve helped. Terrible.

I've lived here two months now and love it! Besides the amazing proximity to everything I need in a block radius, the facilities are brand new, the gym is so nice it makes me want to go exercise, and the staff do everything they can to resolve any issues that arise promptly. Like everything there are a few potential downsides. For me, the hardest thing is the street noise, but I came from a rural mountain house where you only heard coyotes at night. The noise is also a reminder of the vibrant community live in, so it's well worth it!

Used to be a good place. The past two or three times though, their food was so-so but the biggest problem was their draft beer. Anytime your draft beer has an unnatural sweetness to the aftertaste it and smells like a dishrag, there is a problem. It has happened the past several times I have been there. If management is too careless or cheap to swap out kegs or clean their dispensing system, I don't know if I can trust their food either.

An absolute wonderful experience every time we visit this lovely restaurant. Steeped in so much history a Raleigh Landmark for (50) years and just the best. The restaurant offers a warm ambiance with a charming historic touch that creates a unique dining atmosphere. A highlight of the evening was the live music, played by a talented musician—it really elevated the mood and added to the overall feel of the place. Service was okay—not particularly attentive, but sufficient. The garlic hummus was excellent—creamy, rich, and full of flavor. The cauliflower duo was decent, though not especially memorable. The biggest disappointment was the fried oyster mushroom dish. It had a burnt taste, and the beans served with it were undercooked, making it completely unappetizing—we couldn’t eat it. Despite the food inconsistencies, the ambiance and live music made the evening pleasant overall.

First timer. Great experience, nice atmosphere, good drinks, and very good meal! Stopped at Irregardless before going to a comedy show. Started off with drinks and crab dip, both of which were really good. The crab dip was so good and filling that it affected my appetite. I went with a cauliflower dish, which I have never done before. When it arrived, I took one look and thought this is going to be awesome and it was. The dish consisted of harissa roasted cauliflower, cauliflower purée, sautéed spinach, garbanzo beans, and preserved lemon. The flavors were incredible! My wife had eggplant Parmesan, and when it arrived, we looked at it and thought what!?! Although it was like no eggplant I had ever seen it was delicious. In fact, she had eggplant. I ate one of her eggplants, and then she shared with a friend the next day. So good! We will definitely be back.

I got the scallops and risotto that was prepared just right and my husband had the lamb chops that were seasoned and grilled to perfection. We had calamari as an appetizer and I explained that I didn’t like the tentacles and he made sure we only had the rings. My husband and I truly enjoyed our visit here not only for the amazing food but the service as well.

My dining experience at Vivace was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had at an Italian restaurant, especially given its pricing. The issues began immediately with cold, stale bread and unappetizing spreads—hardly an inviting start. The ravioli were undercooked and bland, the crispy chicken was greasy and overcooked, and the gnocchi were rubbery and underseasoned. My steak ordered medium, arrived well-done, dry, and salty. Even the sides missed the mark—the caprese salad had unripe, mealy tomatoes, and the mushrooms tasted sour and cooked long time ago. The cocktails were another letdown: watered-down, lacking flavor, and—most shockingly—garnished with brown, wilted mint that had clearly oxidized. If a restaurant can’t even manage fresh garnishes, it calls into question their attention to detail across the board. For the prices charged, Vivace delivered an unacceptable level of quality. Between the poorly executed dishes, stale ingredients, and careless drink preparation, I cannot recommend this restaurant in its current state.

The Brussels sprouts were really delicious, nice portion for two people. I think it's now one of our favs. Service was great & the ambiance was really nice and chill. The food portion was a little smaller than expected but the taste was great. There’s plenty of free parking since there’s other businesses around. Our waiter was really knowledgeable and made sure we were well taken care of. We will definitely be returning!

the service was great. it was a little noisy. but the place was packed. the food was mostly good. I had the pan seared chicken thighs with the gnocchi and salad. the thighs were really good. perfectly seasoned and seared perfectly. did not care for gnocchi and salad was not very tasty. the dressing used was a too sweet for me. there were 6 in our party. all the plates looked good and everyone said there meal was tasty. if you go here you have to try the mango sorbet. absolutely delicious 😋

Great dinner with friends at this Italian dinner. Food was delicious. We shared apps of meatballs, foccacia & roasted brussel sprouts. I had the Pappardelle Bolognese and it was perfect. Noodles tasted fresh & done right & the meat sauce was good. Some folks opted for the affogato for dessert. They said it was perfect. Took off one star because they had the music cranked so loud that people had to shout to be heard. Why do restaurants do that? It's annoying. Go for the food & ask them to turn it down. :-)

Great location in North Hills, easy parking, cool atmosphere, and plenty of seating for bigger groups! The ricotta gnocchi was delicious- the added chicken was a little dry, but the tiramisu was perfect for celebrating a friends’ bday! Would definitely go back to try other dishes.

Group meeting for 20. Ordered from regular menu and food was out quickly. Staff served without disturbing speakers. Little bit loud at lunch. Would have been better had we closed the doors.

Excellent location. Surrounded by upscale shops. Food was excellent. Service wonderful. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and they gave us two complementary glasses of champaign. The food was excellent. They do not bring bread or butter to the table with the meal, you must order a "bread plate" which has 4 pieces of bread and a "bean spread" for $4. No lasagna on the menu. I was wanting lasagna. The bruschetta appetizer consists of 3 pieces of bruschetta, goat cheese and grape jelly for $14(!) Kinda pricey, but it is authentic and tasted really good.

Dim sum restaurant
Brewery Bhavana is a stylish Chinese restaurant that offers craft beer and delectable dim sum, all within a unique setting that also features books and flowers for sale. The ambiance is a perfect blend of an enchanting garden eatery and a modern bookstore, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners. With its signature dim sum dishes and handcrafted brews, this gem in Moore Square has been captivating visitors for over six years.
Brewery Bhavana was a great restaurant that checked the box on mini things. The place was nice and clean, the layout and design was great and included a bar area and more of a formal sitting area. The background books on a bookshelf that you could read. The food was really good. I have to give props to the chili oils spice on the table. Delicious! We ordered several dishes and the dumplings were great, and the dim sum and buns were delicious. The crab Rangoon was great. We also ordered some jasmine tea, which was tasty and they have a wide selection of beer and wine. We ordered a couple of local beers that were really tasty. The customer service was good too. We had our waitress who checked on us every now and then and then other servers would bring out the food. Overall, we thought this place was pretty good and recommend.

Brewery, dim sum, bookstore AND a flower shop? You got it here all in one! Really great beers and the ambiance is so unique and special too. Really enjoyed the multifaceted nature of this place that makes it a bit quirky but works! I really enjoyed the Glean beer with its mango peppercorn accents that is a great at wetting your appetite before food. For the dim sum, my favorites was the Ginger Salad and Crab Fried Rice. Everything was delicious though and great to share with a small group. Service was nice and attentive too!

Great experience! Let me tell you why... I walked in to get my wife and I on the list for a table at around 3 or 4pm. The kind person at the host station informed me that the wait for a table was HOURS (I believe the time was 915pm) but they have a full-service bar, meaning we could get food and drinks there, as long as there were seats available. My wife and I got a few seats at the bar, were greeted immediately, and had samples in our hands almost as quickly. We opted to take advantage of the Dim Sum section of the menu. We got the Pork & Chive Shumai (1st pic), Duck Egg Rolls, Chicken Curry Bao & Jiaozi Chicken Dumpling (not pictured). The shumai was amazing without the house dumpling sauce and still really good with it. The egg rolls came with a house dipping sauce (not be confused with the house dumpling sauce) which made the not-greasy-at-all deep fried rolls taste delectable. The two other dumplings were good with the house sauce, but between those two the chicken curry was the standout. I tried (and ended up choosing) the Festbier (an Oktoberfest beer), the Grove (a double IPA, without the overwhelming bitter aftertaste), and the Rosecomb? I also had a cocktail that has a name that I can't recall and the name isn't on the online menu. Joshua created it and if I get back there anytime soon, I'm getting a few more! Gotta be a fan of citrus/bitters tho or ya might not like it.

Came to see the Billie Eilish concert. Flew from Indiana. Wasn’t planning on going here but the place I wanted to (next door) was still closed for an hour so I stop by for a drink. The atmosphere was tranquil. Very relaxed and pleasant. They told me I could walk around as there was a library . The natural sunlight from the ceiling helped with the vibe. Felt like I was not in some city in NC, it was like some futuristic utopia. Even had a book store . Had an espresso martini. Probably the best I’ve had. Was creamy and delicate just how I like it. Had a beer there too. It hit the spot. The staff was knowledgeable and extremely kind and polite. They even helped me charge my phone. The experience was so good, I decided to order food. Got the pork shumai and crab ragoon. Both tasted fresh, flavorful but not overpowering as these dishes tend to me. The casings of both were thin and crispy for the ragoon and soft and thin for the shumai. What got me was the pork bao. I tasted homely in a good sense as if my mother made it even though she never made this dish. As if I got teleported to rural China and lived there all my life and twice a year my grandmother would make this for the family for a holiday. It was warm, soft, and tasted like heaven. It tasted so good I didn’t want to swallow or finish the dish, but of course I did. I wish I came here originally, I would of gotten the duck but I wanted to save room for the other place. 10/10 highly recommend and would go there again, if I’m ever in town.

Really beautiful place, nice evening intimate ambience, tons of seating. Tables are a bit small and it would be nicer if there were bigger. Can have conversation and doesn't get too loud. Got reservations for 2 on a Thursday, service was great. There were quite a few drink changes, but the samples allowed us to find a few good sour and light beers to enjoy. The pork chive shumae was tasty. The chicken curry bao was a bit cold so not my fav tho the bao was a good texture. The pork belly rice cakes was a platter rather than fried cakes so I guess I ordered wrong, it was maybe heavy on the salt and umami. The chili sauce wasn't too spicy. Expensive for sure, nice to go once, but better food akanl dim sum other places.

If I could give the service 10 stars I would. Our server Anthony went above and beyond for our dinner. He was patient, gave us tailored recommendations, checked in at the perfect times, assured us we were clear on dishes with allergens, and remembered the little details. He was so personable and even gave us comped glasses of champagne for a birthday we celebrated. The place is adorable — part brewery, part flower shop, part book shop and restaurant. And they do it well!

This was my second time at Brewery Bhavana, and it somehow gets even better each visit. I always make it a point to stop by whenever I’m in the city... it’s that good! The food is incredible: full of flavor, beautifully presented, and with lots of unique and delicious vegan options (which I truly appreciate). The drinks are phenomenal, the decor is stunning, and the vibe is just perfect, lively yet welcoming. Even though it’s a busy spot, the service is consistently warm and attentive. Brewery Bhavana is truly a jewel in downtown Raleigh. Highly recommend!
Ven V — Google review
Our server was really amazing as well as the food. They were out of some of beers but we still found drinks that were very good. The Matcha-San cocktail was so good. The espresso martini was not very bold here so not my favorite. Our favorite dishes were the Shanghai Mooncakes, Ginger Salad and Lo Mein Noodles with chicken. We tried some other dim sum items which were very good too.

Trophy Brewing & Pizza is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates the art of craft beer and artisan pizza. Nestled in a rustic setting, this laid-back parlor has been delighting patrons since its inception in 2012. Known for its house-brewed beers and creative pizzas, Trophy has successfully expanded over the years, introducing an exciting sour beer program alongside their popular brews like Trophy Wife and Cloud Surfer.
We went here for dinner and had a very good experience. We ordered their "Local Celebrity", "Most Loyal" and "the Dare Devil". All pizzas were great, but my favourite was the Dare Devil. It was unlike any other pizzas I ever had - spicy and jalapeno-y and tangy. Most Loyal was somewhat of a let down with the honey. But, it was okay. We also had a couple of their beers - Foeder Red and another - I forget the name - which was a non-alcoholic pilsner. Tasty stuff. I will definitely come back here when I'm back in town.

Their pizza is phenomenal. So good. I had the Most Outgoing pizza and my kid had just cheese and sausage. The service was slow, but the waitress felt bad and got us an appetizer for free to apologize. It wasn't a big deal cause we had nowhere to be so we could take our time. We will definitely be coming back!

All-around good time. I always appreciate a limited menu because it means they put extra consideration into each dish. They have staples and features. Everything we tasted was delicious and I love the indoor-outdoor seating options. Definitely a good place to try some local brews and pizza if you’re in Raleigh!
Chelsea F — Google review
While not what I would call a traditional pizza place, the pizza and appetizers were phenomenal and the beer was on point. We had the spinach and artichoke dip with chips which seemed to be freshly fried. Perfect sharing size while not too heavy to ruin your dinner. The make your own pizza, while a little spendy…is worth it. We went with the garlic herb cream sauce with mozzarella, pesto chicken, bacon, and mushrooms. It was legit. Perfect pairing with a light cold crisp beer.

The cauliflower bites are a MUST! Awesome outdoor seating and plenty of it. Service was great and the food/beer/cocktails were terrific.

Took a day off real estate to get pizza and beer with our son and daughter. Great choice with Trophy Brewing! Great beer, delicious pizza and attentive service! The arugula on the “most outgoing” pizza was so fresh!

Among many, this is a place that must be in your list. Do not hesitate trying it, they have really delicious pizzas. Most importantly, this might be one of the best brewing stores in Raleigh. They have Pilsner, Amber, Porter, Lager and a few others. I highly recommend trying it out!

Located in Raleigh's Warehouse District, Boxcar Bar + Arcade is a vibrant hangout spot with a mix of classic and modern arcade games, pinball machines, skee-ball, and air hockey. With over 100 games to choose from, it's a haven for those seeking nostalgia. The bar offers a rotating selection of 24 craft beers on tap and specialty cocktails. Additionally, the venue hosts gaming tournaments and has an event schedule for the month.
Love that our inner child got to play and the adult could enjoy a drink while playing. Great combination. Clean place. Pinball machines all worked, and I love it. Flogger and Ms Pacman were sensitive joy sticks, which the Pacman machine for 4 players (sit down) blue joy stick would not good down. Only machine that didn't work. Again, overall, great experience. Thank you.

So much fun! I love all the retro games and the drink specials! Tons of retro games, food is available, good drink specials every night. Fun place for a date night! Leave the kids at home, this is definitely a Bar arcade. Paid parking across the street, sometimes you can find free street parking after 6pm, but it can be hard. Bathrooms are relatively clean. Games can be kinda pricey, but $10-20 should be enough for a fun night
Rob M — Google review
If you enjoy a good time playing games and drinking is a plus. Boxcar is the place with arcade games from the 90s. It is a good place to have a girl's night out, and friends during the day or night, and for couples to have fun activities date night.

This is literally a gem!. The vibes are very chill, the staff has been amazing and for 20 dollars you can literally play for hours. I drinks are relatively inexpensive especially if you're from areas like the dmv where the drinks are high.if you're looking for something fun to do that's chill and highly entertaining definitely check this spot out. And after 7 it's 21+ so just an all around great time.

Ordered the 12$ liquid marijuana, they now have it on tap. DO NOT BUY this mixed drink. Tastes like a lemonade with no alcohol. Extremely disappointing. The drink is very very clear which is crazy for a drink that should have blue curaçao in it and melon liquor. Save ya money and get literally any other drink on the menu. Used to love this place for the arcade but now this bar just leaves a sad taste in my mouth.
Kevin P — Google review
I’m mostly here in the early evenings so I can’t comment on late nights or live music, but the space is always clean and inviting. There are a great selection of games, and all seem to be working 99% of the time. There’s a great draft beer selection, daily drink specials, and free water and popcorn stations.
Breanne P — Google review
My husband and I had a great time visiting the Boxcar Bar + Arcade. The atmosphere/vibe is great and a fun place to be. The games and drinks are reasonably priced. We definitely got our money's worth. My husband got the Guinness and he kept complimenting how smooth the drink was. Our favorite game was the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure game. The gaming cabinet art was beautiful. And we made a special trip from out of town just for this game. It was a great time and the arcade was even more fun than I expected! This place has so much to look forward to: ski ball, classic arcade games, pinball machines, air hockey, newer games, claw machines (I won 4 rubber ducks in a row), etc. And many other options! This place would make a great date night for anyone looking to have a fun time!
Brittany B — Google review
This was the best bar I visited on my last trip to Raleigh. It was pretty crowded on Sunday night, but the atmosphere was fantastic. The bar features lots of retro arcade games and pinball machines, along with classics like air hockey, skee-ball, and dome hockey. You need tokens to play, but there's a token machine that accepts both cash and credit cards. The place is pet-friendly and has a great vibe, with fun touches like voice-activated hand dryers and motion detector hand sanitizer dispensers. I recommend sticking to the beers, as the cocktails are a bit watered down. There are plenty of cup holders to keep your drinks safe while you play. This place is perfect for hanging out with friends and having a great time. There's plenty of parking available, including a paid lot nearby, and they accept credit cards.
