Park
For a leisurely stroll, cross the bridge through the town and take a left towards Dale End. There, you will find the Museum of the Gorge, an antique center, and a riverside park nearby. On the opposite side of the bridge's car park, you can follow the path of the old railway tracks along the Severn Valley Way. A circular walk is available from there along the river, leading up to a hillside loop back to your starting point.
A beautiful Park dating back to 1870; the park always has a serene atmosphere with beautiful views and well-maintained grounds. The park offers a range of amenities, including playing fields, children’s park, a short walking trail and picnic areas. There’s lots to visit within a few minutes walk such as the Art Gallery- Ironbridge Fine Arts and Teddy Bear Factory at Merrythought Village and yummy food at Embers at the Greenwood Centre.

Tucked just a short walk from the Iron Bridge, this park is a hidden gem for a peaceful family outing. It’s spacious, green, and beautifully laid out along the river. It's ideal for picnics, gentle strolls, or simply letting the kids burn off energy in a safe, open space. One of the highlights is the well-kept play area.
Jay S — Google review
It’s a lovely place to gave a quiet walk on a Sunday with my lil old dog Izzy….. no huge hills, no rough terrain, easy for anyone young, old, wheelchair bound or walking with sticks…. Plenty of places to sit and have a picnic or a bench to sit and watch the world go by!

I have been there 2 days running, excellent coffee, sandwiches and cakes. Really friendly staff. There are some nice walks from here and it is in a nice peaceful area of Ironbridge
Ruth H — Google review
Green wood centre is a very nice place to work and a very nice place to go and Volenerteer your services like I have been doing since September 18th 2018. I started off on a 3 month trail and Stuart was so pleased with my work that he kept me on.And here I am still there six months later. The staff at the Green Wood are more different to the staff at crowsmill. At least when you make a mistake you don't get your head bitten off. You are always working out side in the fresh air which helps you sleep at night. At least you are always on the go and very active. you do woodwork in side and out side.

Great for country walks, always a great place to visit
Mike F — Google review
I dont know if this organisation built the steps in the woods from ironbridge to broseley, if they did I would like to say they are too high when u step up, must have been built for someone with very long legs. I'm not the only one who thinks this, people I passed agreed too. Walking at the side of them seems common. They are useless for the older age group. So can't do that walk as they have spoilt with those high step s.
Ricecrackers — Google review
It is a joke of an organisation, purely in place to stop anyone enjoying the local wooded area. Run by old moaning locals for old moaning locals.. I have lived in this area all my life and cyclists are made to feel like criminals it is ridiculous! Having been told were an insurance liability cycling in the woods As we may hit pedestrians, it's made me wonder is this the case for road cyclists due to the fact that there is actually pedestrians for them to hit?!? Seems to me it's all about looking out for themselves not the community. Also one star is to kind of a rating( God Dam rammblers)
Kyle B — Google review
We are non-profit community interest company that wants to implement a youth project in the forest that is governed by Severn Gorge Countryside Trust. We contacted for a permission to use their forests for activities, and we were completely ignored, just told we are understuffed. Given that you are non profit organisation and you are to promote your forests and be serving community needs, i can not understand this attitude. How come there is no possiblity to do activities in the forest? It is really questionable, what is your role as organisation, that is really dissapointing, because this approach leads to many effects. Hope your right to manage the forest will be cancelled.
