Riverbanks Zoo & Garden in South Carolina is a popular tourist destination that offers a unique combination of a botanical garden and a mid-size zoo. The 70-acre themed gardens feature over 4,200 species of native and exotic plants, including a rose garden, Asian garden, Walled Garden, and Waterfall Junction with children's attractions. The 170-acre zoo is home to more than 2,000 creatures from various habitats.
We visited the zoo on a Sunday. It was moderately busy but not too bad. It had a variety of exhibits. Definitely could easily spend 2-4 hours here. Lots to see, lots of food and drink options. Tickets were $25 per person. We really enjoyed our afternoon. The bathrooms were clean, lines were short. We visited the botanical gardens in the back. Those are not worth seeing. Very basic, nothing special. Lots of walking to get to them… so I’d skip if we returned. Great place for family & kids or even just a date spot. My only complaint is the special exhibits close early, and earlier than they state. I wanted to ride a camel and see the giraffes up close and both closed “at 6” and actually closed at 5:30. So we missed that opportunity.
Kenzie K — Google review
Wow, so much fun! Lush well planned grounds, flowers and butterflies everywhere. The animals look fantastic and have ample enclosures. The aquarium is wonderful. The sky ride to the botanical gardens over the Edisto River is really nice with great views. Gardens are a must see!
Chipco2 — Google review
We bought tickets online ahead of time and they were slightly cheaper and you paid for parking right then too. The park was great, we went for my son's first birthday and just walked around and enjoyed everything!! I used to go there as a kid so I wanted to take him there as well. We drove from Savannah, GA! Would definitely recommend for a family trip. Great place, looks clean, nice staff, easy pathways, animals look well taken care of. Fun all around!!
Nicole Z — Google review
We were visiting from out of town and looking for something to do and what a pleasant surprise we loved the zoo and gardens! There's lots of animals to see, some we hadn't seen in any zoos back home. Then you can take their new sky tram (included in ticket) to visit the garden side. I'm not a huge fan of plants so I didn't have high expectations, but that side was excellent as well! Right now they have Lego sculptures on display which is fun. Lots of paths to explore and a huge kid area with water features (seasonal) and other fun things. If I were local I would definitely buy a membership.
Ashley C — Google review
Always love a trip to the Zoo with the family. This time we headed to the botanical gardens. Did not disappoint. Amazing staff, lots to see and the air ride over the lake was great amd saved us a walk between the Zoo and botanical gardens. Will definitely return in the spring.
Keisa C — Google review
Went on a fairly busy day, but were able to move through everything in about 3.5 hrs with two young kids. Loved this zoo. Its not too big and provides a lot of shade on the paths and theres a good mix of indoor/outdoor exhibits, so going in summer won't be horrible. Theres a lot of events for kids like animal feeding, obstacle courses, carousel, and lots of food/bathroom stations scattered around. For 2 adults and 2 kids, it was over $100 to get in, but that didnt include the extra costs for animal feeding and extra events.
Andrew Y — Google review
Such an amazing zoo. Compared to San Diego Zoo, a world class zoo, I enjoyed this one more. The enclosures and exhibits for the animals were really nice. There was a water splash area in the back of the botanical garden that the kids really liked. BRING TOWELS AND A SWIM SUIT FOR THE LITTLES! We also really enjoyed the ropes course for the older kids and the ropes course for the younger kids too. Both were very inexpensive, relatively speaking.

We had so much fun at the zoo. The most exciting part was riding to go to the garden. We never did that before. It was nice seeing all the animals.

The South Carolina State Fair in Columbia, SC is a highly anticipated annual event held in October. It offers a wide range of activities and attractions for visitors of all ages, including carnival rides and games, as well as exhibits such as livestock shows, arts and crafts displays, and cooking contests. Visitors also rave about the delicious food options available at the fair, from Fiske fries to generous portions of gyro.
The fair was great! The ONLY thing I would have to say is the Online line on the right hand side for the unlimited rides was ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS!!! it wasn't a single file line it was ALL OVER THE PLACE. Around the Merry Go round and looped around the gates on the right. It was hard to tell where the line was because people were so packed together. Something has to be done about that but other than that it was a spectacular day!! If you don't want to wait in long lines for the rides BUY THE FAST PASSES!! Worth it. P.s. was a little bummed there was no Sentsy this year but the massive stash of candy in the back was a nice touch.
Christina V — Google review
The annual SC State Fair is more than just a collection of rides and food stalls; it’s an immersive, sensory packed event that truly captures the heart of community. What a treat it was to see and be a part of. The midway is a wonderland of excitement, ranging from adrenaline pumping rides that fling you skyward to classics that offer a quieter thrill. The Celebration Wheel, towering over the fairgrounds, is a perfect example. While many major rides cost around 12-18 tickets, this magnificent Ferris wheel, reported to be the most expensive ride at around 21 tickets, is worth every single one. Cuddling into a gondola with your significant other for a smooth, sky high journey, it truly is the perfect couples ride, offering unparalleled views of the dazzling lights below. But the views aren't limited to the wheel. As the sun began to set, casting an orange glow across the Columbia skyline, the experience from the zipline was nothing short of breathtaking. Sailing over the bustling crowds, you get a moment of peaceful elevation juxtaposed with the energy beneath you, a truly unique vantage point. Of course, the food is an event in itself. Forget your diet and embrace the delicious chaos of deep-fried delights. While the glorious fried taco I devoured was so good it vanished before I could snap a single photo, the memory of its savory, crispy perfection is seared into my mind. This treat, along with the other fair staples, like the smoky, hefty turkey legs and the classic, powdered-sugar-dusted funnel cakes, fuels the collective joy. Despite the crowds, the fair manages to feel like the most peaceful yet crowded place I’ve ever been. There's a genuine sense of community here, where families, students, and long time residents come together, sharing laughter, screaming on the high thrill rides, and simply enjoying a beloved tradition. From the quiet, elevated peace of the Ferris wheel to the heart-thumping rush of the faster rides, and the simple pleasure of an unphotographed, perfect fried taco, the SC State Fair is a vibrant showcase of Southern fun and tradition, a beautiful whirlwind of light, noise, and shared memory.

A Must-Do for our family every Autumn! And while the food is required comfort food we enjoy, it always has outrageous costs and the prices continue to climb! Fun to people watch, eat, ride rides and check out the arts & crafts, farm animals and food related competitions! You have to go. Just take out a loan! Fun Memories! 🎡🎢🎪🎠🎟️LOL

Good place to go to on a nice day.The food is very expensive! It appears to be very Safe! Theres lots to do and see.Good place for people of all ages and handicapped people. Theres benches all over the place and exhibits. If your looking to be around alot of people and get a lot of exercise this is definitely the place to come to. This was my 1st time I had ever been to a State fair.

I really enjoyed my day at the fair. We went on the military and sensory day (disability day). The petting zoo was fun along with the zip line ride to see the entire park. The food was delicious…my favorite was the “FRIES” with the added apple cider vinegar, and other seasoning.
Sister A — Google review
The prices have gotten way out of hand. Why they think it's ok to charge 30 to just walk in the gates is absolutely crazy. I know prices have gone up but not to the point of what these food places are charging. We used ro love going to the fair. It is our family tradition to go every year, but I'm not sure how much longer we will go with these prices. The crowds have gotten so bad paying the one price isn't even worth it either.
Amanda D — Google review
I went back to the fair a second time this year to try some different food items. I had a corn dog from Lordy’s, which was very good, except it had a little too much breading for my taste. I would give it a 9 out of 10. I also had the Dubai strawberries with Dubai chocolate, which was scrumptious. IMO it is the best dessert at the fair. It comes with fresh strawberries, sliced, with Dubai chocolate sauce, pistachio cream, and toasted shredded Filo dough on top. I would rate it 10 of 10. I also went to the Pro Kitchen store which was selling fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. I brought them home for a snack later and they were delicious. Rated 10 of 10. They sell them with milk if you want it. There is also a coffee shop inside. I did not know about this place at the fair and will definitely go back there next time.
Kathy C — Google review
This is my first time attending the South Carolina State Fair, and I must say it is much larger than the fair in my hometown. Getting through the gate was challenging due to heavy traffic. If you are planning to go, I highly recommend arriving early when there is less traffic and fewer people around. The fair features various events, including agricultural exhibits, animal shows, and circus performances, which are scheduled throughout the day. The weekends tend to be very crowded, and the wait times for rides can be long and exhausting. Some food vendors have overpriced their items, and both the admission fee and ride vouchers are a bit pricey, but the overall experience was worth it. I especially enjoyed the circus show, as it was my first time seeing one in person.

Historical market square
Known as "The Vista" or the "Congaree Vista," this neighborhood in Columbia is a vibrant cultural district and a designated historic place. It's packed with trendy restaurants, stylish shops, and antique stores. Notable attractions like the Governor's Mansion, Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, and South Carolina Confederate Relic Room & Military Museum are found here.
Attended Vista Lights this was an amazing event. Lots of vendors, things for kids and adults. Fun and safe atmosphere.

There's a waste management problem. Trash cans along the streets, everytime you walk by an alleyway the stench is horrendous, and service e at most establishments here was not very good. Area seems ran down and dirty to be right beside a well know college. We were supposed to spend 5 days in Columbia but bailed after 2.

This is a public historical area named The Vista. Many restaurants, bars, coffee shops in a few city blocks. Some retails cute design and gift shops.

I feel extremely safe here anytime of night. Too many snakes I'm the day and I don't go anywhere near certain places after sundown. That being said and firmly settled on (in any legal setting) - you can not find a safer place to be in North America with the notable exception of Saluda, Lexington and Cherokee counties....okay, okay. I know I can get paranoid sometimes. I never liked Def Leppard. I mean c'mon - we got Twisted Sister & Quiet Riot to put a true show on if you need one. We don't need no cry-baby men-at+work troubadours crying in their Wembley Mug bitchin' about "copyright" insecurities. If you want that - go to any hipster bar or brewery East of Real Soul and the Mississippi River - you know the one: CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA......and if you didn't know, now "you know." They ACTUALLY SING Marshall Tucker Band songs in the Factory District South of the Metro. The Vista's cool according to your social caste'. Amen.

Colonial Life Arena is a top-notch indoor arena located on the University of South Carolina campus. It serves as the home base for both men's and women's Gamecock basketball, hosting numerous sold-out games and NCAA tournaments. With a seating capacity of 18,000, cutting-edge audiovisual technology, and various food and beverage options available during events, it offers an exceptional experience for attendees. In addition to sporting events, the arena also hosts iconic music acts and corporate trade shows.
Spent the weekend of 3/22-3/23/2025 in Columbia SC. I attended the Lady Gamecocks 2025 NCAA Tournament second round game. The crowd was alive and cheering throughout. I paid $20.00 for parking in a nice size parking deck. The price of parking was a lot cheaper than expected. The ushers moved us all into the CLA in a reasonable amount of time. It wasn't hard finding my seats (section 112, row 20, seats 13-14). Indiana had a great game plan in the first half. The second half was a totally different story. Overall, it was a great game, and the ticket prices weren't outrageous, in my opinion. I can't comment on the food I had eaten before the game. This is a family environment, and the fans really support their Lady Gamecocks basketball team.

Exceptional Service from Karen at Colonial Life Arena I want to commend Karen, an attendant in section 113/114 for her outstanding assistance today at Colonial Life Arena. My husband and I had tickets for the circus (section 113, seats 9 and 10) but encountered unexpected challenges when we arrived—my husband, who has knee problems, struggled to manage the stairs. Karen went above and beyond to help us find alternative seating in a section with fewer stairs, ensuring my husband could enjoy the show comfortably. Her kindness and quick problem-solving made all the difference for us. We were also able to offer our original floor-level tickets to someone else, so her efforts truly helped multiple people. Karen’s professionalism and empathy turned what could have been a stressful situation into a positive experience. We are incredibly grateful for her help and wanted to share how much we appreciated her kindness. Thank you, Karen, for making our visit so much better!

Nice stadium/outdoor setting. Was here for an R&B concert. The stage is visible from all angles. Its a very large arena. Has a huge screen TV. Its set on a hill/valley type of structure where the stage is at the bottom (Like a valley) and the seating at the bottom that's level with the stage has chairs but the rest of the seating goes upwards like a hill and its grassy. Check out the pics I posted for a better visual. Overall nice ambiance.

Our first visit (Rodeo) was good. Well laid out with restrooms, food, etc. The seating is small so uncomfortable if you’re not tiny/have someone next to you that’s not tiny. Otherwise, we were very pleased and do plan to return!

Attended the Brandon Lake concert in October, 2025. The staff, law enforcement and even private security staff made it an easy and wonderful experience, despite the 13k people in attendance. My only recommendations are to eat before you arrive, as even the restaurants in walking distance were slammed with attendees. We did arrive and hour and a half early, and found parking with no issues. Entrance was easy, and the staff and law enforcement bad everything from traffic to seating was easy! For any event, just get there early enough to find your way around.

The Colonial Life Arena made a Facebook post offering Maxwell Senerade Concert tickets. I followed the instructions and I was the winner!!! I still can't believe it! The seats were great and of course Kem and Maxwell put on an amazing show!! This was therapeutic and a very much needed break from everything that I have going on at present. We had a ball and thoroughly enjoyed the show!! Thanks again Colonial Life Arena. A. Owens 🤎

Market
Soda City Market is a vibrant weekend event in the Main Street District of Columbia. It features an array of trendy food trucks and local vendors offering handmade goods. Visitors can explore a variety of offerings, from fresh produce to regional foods and crafts. The market is open every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, providing an opportunity to indulge in delicious breakfast options at nearby eateries like Drip on Main.
After Kara Chamberlain Robinson posted about this place a few months ago, I saved it on my map to visit one day. Well I decided to take a trip to Columbia for the long weekend. I will say I'm glad I saved this on my map to visit, it was worth it. This market is much larger than I expected. The only issue was too many dogs. Someone allowed their dog to poop and NOT picked it up and everyone was stepping in it. This market would be better if they didn't allow dogs. I felt like I was at a dog market.
Elikapeka — Google review
It was like waking street fair in NYC lots of vendors and live music. My food experience here was terrible guess I have to find the right vendor . Food was priced high had paella seafood in rice it was awful 😫. Salty fishy and costly. They had a car show and the art was just fantastic. There was a young guy there with Lakers painting and just beautiful prints . Did not catch his name but I will return . Parking was good. I would rate five if it weren't for the bad food experience. No Spanish food I would suggest. Stick to other food.
Amanda L — Google review
Soda City Market is always a lot of fun, and is one of my favorite things to do in Columbia! I love getting to know all of the different vendors, and checking out the really cool miscellaneous items that they're selling. Today, I learned that there's a shop in Five Points that sells vintage, 1980s-style clothing, as well as Jamaican, Brazilian, and Belgian-themed restaurants in the city. I never would've known that before going to Soda City. I also got a decent slice of pizza, as well as a solid cup of coffee. And... the dogs! If you're a dog lover, I'm not sure there's a better place on Earth to find some beautiful dogs than Soda City, they were precious! There's really only two (2) downsides to Soda City: the prices are very expensive relative to the quality you're getting. Now, you are supporting local businesses, so I don't mind paying a little bit more for it. However, nearly $20 for a good, but not great, slice of pizza and cup of coffee isn't particularly ideal. Also, there's always very obnoxious religious zealots who either scream into a megaphone, or spout race-based conspiracy theories on the street corner. I don't mind the people who have a booth and welcome you to talk to them, but the ones who scream into their microphones kinda ruin the vibe.
John D — Google review
I love Soda City! There are blocks and blocks of vendors selling so much cool stuff, bands playing, food trucks, a farmers market and vintage clothes! There is truly something for everyone. My favorite is DJ Voodoo child. He is a master at mashups. Anytime I am in Columbia on a Saturday, you will find me here!
Peggy C — Google review
So many vendors offering delicious food, drinks, crafts…. It’s the best market I’ve ever been to.
Jay P — Google review
Lucky to have been visiting when we went. Pride was ongoing and the number of vendors and support vendors were amazing. Lovely people and great food and products.
Ricky M — Google review
I visited the market today for the first time and was really impressed. It has a great vibe with street performers playing instruments right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. There are lots of food stands with tasty options from hearty meals to sweet treats. You can also find many other cool things like fresh flowers honey hot sauce and more. I recommend getting there early the later you go the busier it gets. The market is open every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.

Soda city has been an amazing addition to my Saturday morning. There is alot of different cultures from foods, natural items, and personal things to buy. Fun place to bring your dog and meet friends listen to music and much more.

City Roots Farmers Market is a unique blend of organic market and evening entertainment venue. Located in the heart of lower Rosewood, it offers a variety of organic produce from City Roots farm and other local farms, pasture-raised meats, free-range eggs, artisan baked goods, and fresh dairy products. Visitors can also enjoy craft beer or wine and delicious food from on-site vendors. City Roots Mardi gras! The parade goes around the neighborhood and weaves it back to the Roots. There were four music venues with multiple bands scheduled. Food trucks and beer stands through out. Nice afternoon for the family.

I haven’t been able to visit the farm, but I have a visit the farm in my mouth. I just want to give a huge appreciation to you guys! With experience of working in the garden, I’ve been able to know what it taste like to have pure, good quality vegetables... Attendees can enjoy food and drinks from various vendors throughout the event. Additionally, Jam Room is highly regarded as a top-notch recording studio with professional engineers who provide exceptional services for musicians.
I've been recording at the Jam Room now since December 2021 & it's been all good. They have a great set-up with some of the best musicians available. Zach & Evan make a great producer team & when it comes to the drums, you can't find many out there better than Evan. Zach is very knowledgeable with them controls & microphone placements so he's been capturing some great tracks for my new singles. Great affordable recording studio to help you bring your music to life! I'm completely happy! A+

well from producers from Germany to bands from New York, quite simply it's the only recording studio like it in the world. Even my old band - still performing - that played for the historic inaugurations for both Barack Obama & Nikki Haley recorded our audio-bed there for the video that got us those gigs. Authenticity & soul in expertise, experience & equipment make it the ONLY sound garden like it anywhere. Thanks again guys!!!

Im new to the area and currently surveying studios to record with, and out of all that i've talked to so far. jam room's been the most proffesional and inviting. I havent recorded with them but as of now they're at the top of my list. They use industry standard d.a.w.s and seem to be pretty versitile with mics, and instruments which is important for me as a musician and an audio engineering graduate myself. Overall they seem like great guys and the vibe just feel right. If you ask me that'll tell you a lot about how well an engineer will do on your mix. If theyre as good as i think theyll be ill probably come and bump my review up to 5stars but i wanted to give the most honest review because i know this is a super important choice as an artist. The only tiny improvement that i would say is that the space could be a bit tidier but other than that the atmosphere seems great!

The Columbia International Festival is a vibrant celebration of global cultures, featuring a diverse array of international cuisines, arts, and performances. The festival showcases the culinary scene of the Midlands through a five-day extravaganza that has garnered regional attention. Visitors can explore booths representing various countries with art displays and cultural artifacts. While some attendees experienced initial challenges with long lines, once inside, they enjoyed an array of international goods and delectable food offerings.
This was a super-fun festival, though it was incredibly hot this year. I think they usually hold it earlier in the year. One building (with AC) has a bazaar with booths from all the participating countries/representatives with examples of their art or photos, or video, whatever they can pull together. I got my name written in Chinese at one. At the end of the "path" there was a section for shopping all sorts of international goods. In the barn/other building, half was food vendors - ukranian, pakistani, Ghanian, Latin, French - all sorts of food, usually sold out of casserole pans - nothing fancy! Everything I had was good, it was just so hot to heat hot food in a hot room. In the back of the barn was a stage with dancing. There were back-to-back performances and some awards, all moved along by two very capable MCs. It was hot, and I really only stayed for lunch, but I wish I could have stayed to watch all the dances, they were so good. The parade of nations was really great - make sure you see that.
Sara W — Google review
What a awesome experience. There was different from from different places around the world. Items were available for purchase. They even had a are to learn about all the different countries . Simply amazing !
Barbara H — Google review
The CIF was improved geographically since previous years, but still needs some better positioning of countries. Space seems better utilized but a second stage is needed. A couple negatives are;; that some of our volunteers in costume and wearing wrist bands had to pay for parking each day. A VERY bad distraction was the African drum ensemble that assaulted our ears for FAR TOO LONG. The office was also disturbed and had to keep the door closed....many complains were heard as the sound reverbs off the roof and down the aisle and makes it very difficult to carry on a conversation in the booths. I really felt sorry for those booths in the front rows.. We had to turn our national music off .....3d row...as it could not be heard . The theme this year was Mandarin speaking counties, so why was African Drum ensemble allowed to set up stage up front on the theme counties and drown everyone out? THAT IS WHY WE HAVE A STAGE!!!!. Parental control is lacking.; Sunday at breakdown, kids were running and throwing a ball directly in the path to the back door where everyone was carrying artifacts and display items to the cars. As one of our volunteers was carrying a box, a child reached into the box and removed a small item,....when the volunteer corrected him his mother yelled : you don't speak to my child like that". Parents MUST control their children. Four years ago I was told that during the parade I was not allowed to play music.....one single woodwind instrument with the Israel flag...BUT every year one group has an accordion and drums blasting the entire time.......why the discrimination? It is hoped that some of these issues will be addressed. Generally it was a good time and everyone came out exhausted, and maybe the kids visiting on Friday learned something.
Bill C — Google review
It started off a little rough. The line was too long. There was no direction. I stood in the line for 10 minutes before someone said there was a different line for online tickets. I was better than a lady I met in the online line. She got all the way to the entrance and had to get out. But once inside everything was great! Food was high but whats not nowadays.
W F — Google review
Great experience learning about other countries and trying food from all around the world.
Yolanda M — Google review
It was fun to walk around and see all the booths. The food was very good as well. The crowd was a lot and it was very hard to navigate through at times. If you easily get overstimulated, I would not recommend coming. The dances were very cool to watch, but the speaker was way to loud in places. Fun to go once, but I probably won’t go back.
Michelle M — Google review
First time attending it was fun. The performances were good and the food was amazing. Masks were required in the building, which was a good practice for COVID. Felt like a safe way to have the festival while not requiring outdoors. Will be back next year.

Arts & Draughts at the Columbia Museum of Art is hands-down one of the best ways to spend a Friday night in the city. The vibe was amazing—great crowd, cold beer, and incredible art. The silent disco was a blast, and the Sam Gilliam exhibit was a powerful experience. Beautiful atmosphere, creative energy everywhere, and something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're an art lover or just looking for something different to do, this event delivers. I’ll definitely be back!
Dee G — Google review
The main exhibit on the second floor was closed, and the first-floor section was only partially accessible due to filming. While admission is free for South Carolina residents, out-of-state visitors are charged a $15 entry fee. Paying full price to see barely a quarter of the museum felt like a pretty raw deal.
Kye — Google review
We really enjoyed the artwork from Printmaster, Sam Gilliam. Unfortunately, the upstairs exhibit was closed for renovation and will not be opened until January 2026. We also visited the Intersection on Main Street: African American Life in Columbia exhibit, which was extremely informative! I am so grateful to Faida for taking the time out to tell us about very interesting facts about the USC and surrounding areas. I highly recommend everyone going at least once.

Chef D — Google review
A solid art museum that regularly features interesting exhibits. I saw the Keith Haring exhibit here recently, as well as the Alexander McQueen exhibit a few years ago. Both were excellently done. Outside that are other art pieces well worth seeing. On our most recent trip this weekend, we didn't find out the second floor of the museum was closed until after we had already paid for our tickets. We essentially paid normal admission prices in order to view the Haring exhibit, a few separate art pieces, and an exhibit on African American life in Columbia that was already free to begin with. The museum is a non-profit, so at least the proceeds go towards its educational programs and art conservation. However, I can't help but be reminded of Keith Haring's belief that art should be accessible and affordable to all. I understand that the museum does not want to miss out on proceeds, but at the same time it feels unfair to be charging normal prices to view significantly fewer art pieces.

My husband and I came in this afternoon for an early dinner. He is in restaurants and I’m in healthcare, so it’s rare we get the occasion to go to a nice, relaxing dinner together. We were celebrating our anniversary early because as it goes, he will be out of town for work. We didn’t mention this, as we didn’t want or need extra attention. Our server was EXCEPTIONAL, the food was outstanding….from the subdued, polite, young host, to the moment we left, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Kudos! We used to be regulars when we lived downtown, but when we get the chance, we will certainly return. I highly recommend to anyone who likes a laid back, relaxing atmosphere and great wine and food selection from start to finish. Thank you for a lovely date night.

We stopped in for a drink and appetizers and were pleasantly surprised. We initially sat inside but moved outside as the weather was great. Our waiter was excellent, he provided great service and was very personable. We had a combination of celiac disease requiring gluten free options as we as shellfish and specifically allergy to muscles. He understood the allergies and options as well as very knowledgeable of the menu, wine and other drink options. The appetizers we selected were all very good as well as the drink choices. Oh, our group tried two of the wine flights that were very nice selections too.

Newly relocated to the Columbia area, I was out exploring the scene for a drink and bite to eat. I happened upon Gervais and Vine in passing and figure it would be a good opportunity to try out a new spot and gamble on getting my fix of both for the night. It proved to be a great choice as I had an extremely enjoyable evening orchestrated by my waiter Josh and chef Jeff. Both gentlemen were very pleasant, personable and had an apparent passion for their jobs which showed through in the services that were provided. They deserve special recognition. The wine and dishes I tried at Josh’s suggested were all delicious and the vibes in the atmosphere were perfect in distracting my mind from the work day. Coming from Charleston SC, I was nervous about not having an experience that would compare to what I was use to but Gervais and Vine represented Columbia well and made me feel at home in a foreign land. I highly recommend giving them a try. I feel confident that you’ll leave just as impressed.

The stadium is known for its electrifying atmosphere during games and has also hosted legendary rock and pop concerts.
This was a great tour! David our tour guide was awesome! He was so inviting and friendly and had a wonderful knowledge base of the football stadium and its traditions. The tour is free and lasts about 45-1hr. You get to see plenty of stuff (I’m not giving away all the secrets) but you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you sign up and get your free tickets in advance. That way you have them. The parking lot is easy to get in and out of. Make sure to add this to the list!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Williams-Brice Stadium: A Disco Circus of College Football Fun! My trip to Williams-Brice Stadium, home of the South Carolina Gamecocks, was absolutely unforgettable! For anyone with a short attention span—this place is ADHD heaven. There’s always something happening—music pumping, lights flashing, fireworks bursting, and the crowd bringing wild, contagious energy from start to finish. It’s like stepping into a disco circus where, oh yeah, a football game just happens to break out in the middle of it all! The atmosphere is electric, the fans are passionate, and the whole experience is pure entertainment. I’ll definitely be back—it’s one of those stadiums that makes you feel alive just being there. Still, I’ll give Neyland Stadium the top spot in my heart…but Williams-Brice is a very close second! 🏈🔥💃

Great stadium setup, operation and services. However, the excessive artificial noise continuously pumped out of the the PA system at an absurd volume is an embarrassingly mindless attempt to stoke a crowd from before kickoff until the clock hits zero. I enjoy stopping at the Gourmet Shop whenever I'm in Columbia, SC! Such a neat place for lunch, a little shopping of unique items, cheeses, and a great selection of wines. This particular time I tried the Turkey Pesto sandwich with the pesto pasta side and a glass of unsweetened iced tea. As always, everything was delicious. I did give the service a 3-star rating due to having to wait roughly 15 minutes before anyone even asked if I was being served. i recently planned a girls trip to asheville and found the gourmet shop as a mid stopping point for lunch. it’s located in a cute little shopping area and takes up quite a bit of space in the building. there are 3 parts to it, the wine section, the food spices cheeses desserts and bulk items, as well as food related items for the kitchen, and the dining area which included outdoor seating. i got the bacon brie croissant that had a special jam on it and it was out of this world!! you’re allowed one side and i went with the german potato salad, which was great to my tasting as i loved the flavors. my girlfriend got a panini with tomato soup as her side. she said hers was fantastic. we also got a few desserts and they were divine as well. i highly recommend this place, it’s a little off the highway but well worth the drive! we will definitely be back to try more things!

The sandwich was pretty good you get a side I personally don't like cold pasta if you do you love the sides. My personal preference. The sandwich was pretty good but felt the sauce wasn't fully distributed but that's nit picky.
Dan J — Google review
We've noticed a marked decline in food quality in the last year: croissants heated to the point of being rock hard, stale bread in the baskets that accompany the cheese boards, stale, rock hard pitas with the hummus, and smaller portions on the boards. It seems like they are trying to cut costs, which doesn't make sense because they are always very busy. Our most recent bread basket came with mostly the end pieces of stale bread, including one that looked like it had a bite taken out of it!! The service and atmosphere keep us coming back, but they need to be more attentive about the food they are putting out these days.
C J — Google review
The Gourmet Shop was alright. The store itself is really nice and has a wide selection of nice things, the food was descent but certainly not anything I would wait a long wait for again. It seems more hype than it was substance which was unfortunate. But I will note that people raved about the chicken salad but we did not order that.

I got a cappuccino and it was very good. I also got a salmon bagel sandwich and it also was awesome. My girlfriend however got a sandwich that she did not really like and her pasta salad wasn’t that good either. The tomato bisque was very good. The service was excellent, the food came out quick, and the shop has all sorts of good stuff I even bought my mom a couple things. Lots of great wine too if you’re into that. Definitely a place I will go to again.

First time here and was very impressed! Maddie our server was friendly and helpful in ordering. She gave us great recommendations on drinks and food. Fantastic place to connect with friends. First off, the atmosphere vibe entering is an experience as I parked on the side of the street then walked down the alley to enter. Kindly greeted by all the foliage to the entrance. Truly a site to see. Warren and the sushi chef were both kind and respectful! Cool guys for sure! 👌 The atmosphere indoors: cool local artists’ art on the wall. They play many early 2000s classics! Nostalgia for sure! I and three different plates: 1) Snowcrab Roll - it was ok. 7/10. The sriracha was good but had a late kick. The roll didn’t have the best flavor. The shredded Alaskan snowcrab on tap was ok. 2) The Rollover from the Hand Rolls. This was really good! They look like four big joints, lol. But they were all good! The dynamite hand roll was my favorite! But they were all pretty good! 8.2/10 3) Kazimoto Roll - a crispy and crunchy roll. It has something like mozzarella breading on the outside, then the rolls are glazed with a spicy ponzu sauce. Very good! 8/10

Best hidden gem in The Vista. It can be hard to find but once you know where it is parking doesn't become an issue. Used to eat here all of the time in college and loved it. Heard they had a new owner so a group of buddies and I decided to give it a go while we were all in town for a reunion. It did not disappoint. We started with some classic rolls before diving into the specialty rolls. **Highly recommend anything with their fresh tuna!!!! A couple of us got hibachi and a couple of us got the ribeye- both ample portion sizes and tasted wonderful. I don't drink, but my friends who ordered the specialty cocktails ordered several lol. Overall a great night with great friends. Glad to see this place still in The Vista after 15 years. The owner Steve came out of the kitchen and chatted with us also. Very excited to see what he does next. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

We came into this restaurant at 9:30 on a Saturday night after the Leanne Morgan concert According to the website, they closed at 10 but when we sat down at the bar, the bartender Warren had no time constraints. We ordered a shrimp tempora roll and a California roll. If you know me, you know, I love a Margarita so I got a Patron Margarita with a grand marnier floater. Margarita was amazing as were the sushi rolls. The atmosphere was fantastic. The serving staff was friendly and professional and accommodating. We will continue to come back here every time we have the opportunity. Two thumbs up!

I got an order for pickup from here. When I went to pick up, the waitstaff were very awkward to the point where it felt almost rude. It felt like they had never had someone come get an order for pickup before. They ordered me around about where I needed to stand while they packed my order. Why wasn't it already packed and why couldn't I just stand at the hostess stand? Our food ended up being fine. It wasn't bad sushi at all, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Definitely disappointing for the price.

We went for New Years Eve 12/31/24. Parking was fairly easy to find. Entrance easy also. The christmas lights were beautiful. We also eatch the fireworks that evening. We strolled around and took plenty of pictures. We also stopped to purchase hot chocolate and items to make smores from a vendor on the premises. Sat down over a fire pit to make them was alot of fun. I would definitely recommend coming here.

We did find Waldo, so there's that. The park was very clean and well kept. The parking garage was clean, but it took forever to get out of the garage at the end of the game. The fireworks show was fun, and the team store was well kept. Overall a great experience.

Really nice ballpark. Easy to get to and street parking was readily available in the area. If you prefer there is a parking garage, but street parking is free. We went to a Sunday twilight game.

We went to our first baseball game Saturday August 30,2025 at Segra Park to watch the Columbia Fireflies take on the Hickory Crawdads. Segra Park hosted the Bbq festival in May 2025. I love me some bbq. Grew up bbqing. Love me a pulled pork sandwich. I eat a variety of sauces, so I'm not going to go there. Dad makes the best. There were a lot of great vendors present. The bbq bus definitely had some things i needed more time and space in my belly to try. My first time here was an experience. I walked around and saw all the food vendors that participated. I already knew I was going for a pulled pork sandwich anyway. I gotta find that bus, though I can eat his menu. Great time at Segra Park. I can't wait for next time.

The venue has welcomed legendary acts like Elvis, Johnny Cash, and James Brown over its 87-year history.
We've been to several musical concerts here at the Township. There are several concession stands with alcohol drinks, sodas, water and popcorn. For the actual concert, the building has great acoustics and lighting. For this concert, Frankie Valli was the act. Very good 👍

Township Auditorium was an easy venue to get to. Walkable if u are staying downtown… also easy uber pickup/ drop off location. It is an Historic building which has been renovated!! Acoustics varied so not sure if it is the builder or the band. We had a lovely time. Would recommend!! They asked us to not take photos …. So I don’t have one to share!

We saw Chicago at the Township Auditorium. Such a terrific experience! Public parking was cheap and just three quick blocks away from the entrance. The venue was staffed with friendly folks and was very tidy. There were kiosks where you could get your favorite beverage. Restrooms were well-maintained and close by. After getting "nose-bleed" seating for James Taylor at the Colonial Life Arena, we spent a bit more money and got seating pretty close to the stage. Orchestra Seating 8 rows back! SMART MOVE! We could see the band easily, as they performed. The sound level wasn't overpowering, either. Chicago put on a 2-hour show with a 20 minute intermission. The show was GREAT! Well worth the $$! We will looking at attending future shows here.

I love this venue and I have seen quite a number of great shows at the Township over the years. On a recent visit, I realized how tight the seating is. There is very little leg room, and I believe the seats were made in a time when Americans were much skinnier. Still, it is a great place to see a show in a smaller venue. I am posting photos from a recent Steve Miller Band concert.

For the public there are two entrances. The entrance on Park Street has lots of steps but the entrance on Green street is level. On Green Street you can drive up and drop off. If you are there to meet graduates you can meet them on the grassy boll. Oh if you enter on the Park side road the sidewalk to the right of the building serves as a ramp. They have plenty of restrooms . Most people try to enter in the auditorium on the same side as the entrance and the line is usually long. If you walk past the restroom and go to the other side the lines are shorter. It’s a cozy auditorium. No middle isle so if you sit in the middle you will have to be ready to say excuse me over and over. The seats are comfortable. There are two large parking garages in Park street. The one across from the auditorium is always more than the one a block away.

Elegant stadium with easy access from the street. There are a lot of stairs going to the second level. However, handicap access is available adjacent to the stairs along the street. The vendor will not sell alcohol if the host of the event request them not to. Staff was friendly, and prices are appropriate for a venue environment. Seating is comfortable and relaxing with specious leg room for an adult male who is 6ft 3in 220lbs. I would recommend attending events at this location.

I love Irmo Town Park, its secluded and shaded with many trees and is a wonderful spot to just hang out. I proposed to my now wife on the gondola in 2015 and then we came and took a birthday photo shoot of my 1 year old daughter as well, so it will always hold a special place for me. The park itself has no playground but has a nice gondola, and a little trail with swings. The gondola also has a grassy stepped amphitheater surrounding one side of it to allow for fun gatherings. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby!

Your beautiful mature community park, perfect for book reading and hanging out with a loved one or friends. Not specifically kid friendly no playground and there is an open access pond and stream kids can run straight through however there are picnic tables and rules posted for safety reasons. It's perfect for weddings and special gatherings under the Irmo White Oak or under the center Gazebo at the top of the man-made stream leading to the small koi/turtle pond full of minos. The park is visually pleasing and feels safe surrounded by Irmo PD. The restrooms are currently N/A due to renovations, definitely would visit again if I need to escape the hussle and bustle of the city traffic.

Nestled in the vibrant Lower Vista area, Columbia Craft Brewing Company is a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts. The lively atmosphere is enhanced by fun events like Music Bingo on Wednesdays, making it a great spot to unwind with friends or meet fellow craft beer lovers. The inviting taproom often buzzes with locals sampling flights from the ever-changing draft board.
We really enjoyed our visit to Columbia Craft Brewing Company! I first tried their Famously Hop IPA at a local restaurant and loved it so much that we decided to stop by the brewery the next day. We had a relaxing afternoon sampling the Citrus All-Pro and Alien Hat Strawberry & Guava Sour—honestly, it was hard to pick a favorite, they were all so good! The staff at the taproom were incredibly friendly and welcoming. My teenage son wanted to try the pinball machine but only had dollar bills, and the staff went out of their way to help him break a bill—even checking the tip jar for change so he could play. He had a great time and really enjoyed his orange soda. It’s worth noting they also offer non-alcoholic options and sodas, making it a great spot for families or groups with mixed preferences. A fantastic experience all around!

Columbia Craft was awesome, and was such a fun place to stop in on a Sunday afternoon. It was a very chill and laid-back environment, and the ambiance was unique and playful as well. The two bartenders they had on staff that day were cool, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and were able to guide us through their impressive selection of craft beers. Unfortunately, the rooftop section of the restaurant was closed on the day that I went, but from the outside, it looked like a really neat place to stop in when it is open. They also had a nice outdoor seating area, which appears to be the perfect place to enjoy a beer on a nice, sunny, but not overly hot or humid day. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the Hazy IPAs that me and my friend got were great, and were among the best that I've gotten from any other brewery that I've ever been to. All-in-all, five (5) stars for Columbia Craft, which was a great brewery experience!
John D — Google review
Cool spot and good service, but the most important part is the beer. I didn't really enjoy any of the three I tried. Will try again, maybe just made some poor selections.

Nice little craft brewery with great rooftop and patio vibes. They do offer flights at a reasonable price so you can try several types of beer. They have a good selection of sours as well as different types of beers. Their to go section was decent too. The bartenders were super friendly and a great place to hang/chill.
Tiffany W — Google review

James F — Google review
For more than 5 years now, Columbia Craft has had and will continue to have the best beer in Columbia . Five staples now adorn the brew list daily. They have the most medals for winning national competitions locally. The staff is outstanding. The newly opened rooftop is in its first summer of operation, and the outdoor space will be coming soon. The best ipas and sours you will find locally. There's a reason it's so highly rated. Reason 1 the beer. Reason 2 the people. Reason 3 the customers

Fabulous spot! Great gardens and lots of things for the kids. They have a water park there where kids can run around in the fountains and plenty of seating for the parents. Take a tram over to the zoo for free to see the Otters and sea lions!
Gerard D — Google review
Overall good experience. Wish there was better signs for directions and for the tram. Also wish there would have been more animals, there was a lot missing and that was sad for my kids and myself honestly. Bathrooms were decent and clean though.
Moriah S — Google review
It's a great place for all ages. I enjoy a walk through the botanical garden in every season. There is a lot of construction going on with the creation of the saluda sky ride. The woodland path is closed due to that.
Marguerite S — Google review
It is amazing. There was a time when I was worried for the future of the zoo because a lot of things were dated and not as nice as they used to be. Riverbanks has outdone itself. The staff are so sweet. It's like visiting the Chick-fil-A of zoos. I have 4 kids (8,5,2, and 9m) they all loved it. The best part of the zoo is definitely waterfall junction! All of my kids played for hours. That space is so well thought out for families of all sizes and needs. The aquarium is awesome, without kids it would be my favorite spot! We packed a lunch, snacks, and plenty of water because I'm not a fan of stadium prices. It's not even a complaint because at least it's allowed.
Nancy G — Google review
Great experience with granddaughter. We have a membership & go often. Zoo employees are the best...helpful and informative. Buy a membership with extra activities included like carousel rides, birds feeding. Granddaughter rode carousel 5 times that day.
Sharon H — Google review
This was our second time there and had a great time with our 5 year old. There are a good amount of animals but the park is not spread out too much so you can get through it quickly if you want (you don't have to though). Park seems pretty well maintained and they have another area with Botanical Gardens, an open space for kids along with a waterfall area, a little river, some normal slides, and other fun things for them to do. Between this and the zoo you can keep your kids entertained pretty much all day if you want to. When we went, the new skyline was just finished, and needed maintenance. When that's up and running it will be a very nice way to connect the botanical gardens / kids area to the rest of the zoo. The current way being a longer walk or a tram ride can each take a decent amount of time. Please note that you can definitely bring in snacks for you and your kids along with some drinks and maybe even food for lunch if you really want to. I don't know how much they really check for coolers but we had no problem bringing our bag in. Also they have nice water refilling stations around the zoo and they'll even give you a cup of ice not one of the restaurants if you ask. Really great service overall. We may look into getting a membership for next year.

Really dissapointed. The seats I was supposed to get were on the outside of the row, but the venue decided the chalk writing should go in the opposite direction so I ended up with half of my view blocked by a sound booth. So I paid almost 80 dollars to not be able to even see the show. It also took me three different bathroom stalls to find one that had an actual working lock, not to mention the stalls were difficult to get into because of the wide door. I don't think I will be visiting this venue again.

Steel Hands Brewing is dedicated to enriching the local community, promoting innovation, and ensuring top-notch beer quality, customer service, and taproom ambiance. They host live music on weekends and offer brewery tours multiple days a week. This family-friendly establishment boasts an outdoor beer garden where even your furry companions can join in the fun. Located just outside downtown Columbia SC, Steel Hands Brewing sits on a vast four-acre property across from one of the country's largest rebar manufacturing facilities—hence its name.
Came here around 2p on a Saturday, with a group of 8 on a cloudy day. Plenty of indoor seating but outside tables and parking were harder to come by. Prettier Than Matt was the band playing at the time, and they’re always entertaining. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable when ordering. I always get a flight so I can try different things. I also ordered a pretzel and avocado tacos with mahi. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was hot and fresh. Another band came in later, but I didn’t catch the name. They played mostly 90’s hits and were pretty good. The crowd of mostly Gen X people seemed to fade to a younger crowd by the time we left around 6p. Steel hands is always a great way to spend an afternoon with friends, good music, good beer and food! Lots of well behaved dogs. The only thing of note was that a couple in our party are not big beer drinkers. They were looking for a cider, which they don’t have, so opted for wine instead. Also available are cocktails.
Shannon J — Google review
Atypical location, between steel/gas/concrete factories, but close to the town. Lots of tables inside and even more outside. Great beer menu. Food is rather limited to sandwiches, which did not impress us, but would come again for the overall place. Staff was very friendly too.
Sylvain F — Google review
At first, we thought this place was going to be a hit when we pulled up, but after leaving, we're just not sure if we would recommend it or even return. We decided to start with some food since we were on a tight schedule. The young lady taking our order was awkwardly shy and seemed to lack enthusiasm for customer service, which was a bit off-putting. We ordered the "limited" stuffed pretzel, and honestly, we wish we had skipped it. It lacked flavor and definitely not worth the price. On the bright side, the fries were excellent, and the ranch dipping sauce was fantastic. As for the beer selection, they offered some great options, and we thoroughly enjoyed the beers we tried. However, the "bar" style ordering system was a downside. It was frustrating having people cut in or act entitled to their turn, and the staff didn’t seem to enforce any order. This place could really benefit from table QR codes for ordering food and drinks without having to get up. Since they already have staff running food from the kitchen, it would make sense to have someone handle drink orders too!
Andrew M — Google review
Steel Hands was a great time! I can't say enough good things about the way that they've ingratiated themselves into the local community! I went on a special Gamecock night, and there were tons (I'd guess hundreds) of people decked out in Gamecock gear, and they had local journalists there to provide insights into the upcoming college football season. It was really a sight to see. In addition to that, they had a great live music band, who played a lot of great country music hits. Finally, their craft beer is great, and I loved their IPAs. Overall, five (5) stars for Steel Hands, for a variety of reasons! I hope they'll be in Columbia for years to come!

Interesting spot for a meal. We came during the day and had Steal and Frites. Good service, clean and cool inside. Metered parking around the corner so bring some change.
John T — Google review
Decent beer. Below average food. The mango hazy IPA was okay. Nothing to write home about. The pecan brown ale was pretty good. Buttery, a little hoppy, very nice and balanced. My burger was fine, not exceptional. My wife got the blackened mahi sandwich, though, and it was pretty bad. The onions and blackening spices helped to drown out the strong fishy taste it got from being overcooked, but was not good overall. She couldn't finish it.
Brady B — Google review
Steel Hands Brewery, where the air shimmered with the scent of grilled meat and hops, and the clink of glasses echoed like a spell of welcome. There, I encountered a dish worthy of legend: the Smash Burger. Its arrival was humble, yet divine. The patty—seared to golden perfection—held the kind of flavor that speaks of fire, patience, and reverence. Sharp cheddar crowned it like a noble crest, its bite harmonizing with the richness below. The bun, soft as a cloud yet kissed by flame, offered a texture that danced between comfort and crispness. Beside it, the fries—golden spears of joy—crackled with salt and warmth. Their companion, a signature peppered ketchup, was no mere condiment. It was a potion: smoky, sweet, and tinged with spice, awakening the senses like a bard’s tale told by firelight. And then, the final pairing: the All Citra IPA. Brewed fresh, its citrus-forward notes burst forth like sunlight through forest canopy. It didn’t just complement the meal—it elevated it, turning each bite into a celebration. In that moment, Steel Hands Brewery was no longer just a place. It was a portal. A door to another world—one of flavor, fellowship, and quiet magic.

Live here love it! I live on the river end of Lake in a small excellent community. The other end is busier more jobs, more schools, more traffic, more restaurants etc. I like the peacefulness of the Saluda side. I love Hollywood Elementary School. They have a newly updated school, the principal makes sure they teach kindness as well as academic. It is an excellent school. I love there is less traffic on the lake on this end too. The wildlife is beautiful. The views are amazing. I feel at peace and I feel happy.

Love this lake. Lots of room for busy boating days. There are several waterfront places to eat, Marina's to fuel up, and ramps to put your boat in. Several campgrounds along the shoreline too. We stayed a week in a lake house in July and loved our stay. The water appeared to be pretty clean and well kept everywhere. There were several beachy sandy areas to pull up to and rest or cool off. We are from TN but the drive was well worth it. Great lake overall.

Such a beautiful place. If you have a kayak and the time I definitely advise to go to Dreher Island part of Lake Murray. The boats in the evening are very respectful of others and it’s a great adventure to paddle around and see all the herons and fish jumping!

Craft And Draft is a popular spot with locations on Devine Street and in Irmo, offering a wide selection of craft beers. With 56 taps across both locations, the bar hosts tap takeover nights, rare kegs, and themed charity events. The friendly atmosphere makes it easy to strike up conversations with fellow beer enthusiasts. In addition to the on-site bar, they also have a retail section stocked with unique bombers, bottles, and cans.
Still on my brewery tour. Always grab a flight to have a little taste of everything. Cool little spot. They have about 10 on tap, you can ask grab a craft beer out of the fridge to enjoy here or take it home. They have a small selection of wine too. Got to appreciate the owner that followed his dream to open up a brewery.

We were there noonish on a Tuesday. The beertender was very helpful and offered samples to ensure we would like the beer we selected. Good place to have a cold one.

I love finding places like this! Their well-curated beer selection is among the best I've seen anywhere—and our superb beer tender Dan offered plenty of advice on what to see and where to go beer-wise. Whether you're a craft beer novice or one who has enjoyed thousands of different beers, this is your stop. Cheers!

Craft and Draft is such a fun place! The Devine location is our go to spot on the weekends, we always look forward to hanging out with the staff and great group of people. Everyone is always nice and welcoming. They have a wide range of beers, wines, and seltzers to hit any cravings. The different types of food trucks are always a fun bonus too! We are moving back home to KC, but Craft and Draft will be our most missed spot!

This little Beer Gem is a kind place for the beer soul!! Christian was super cool, professional, and informative about the beer selection. And one of the best parts is that you can mix and match!! Definitely heading back there to hang with my buddies.

Nice little dog friendly beer shop with draft beers on tap plus very large selection of beers in coolers. Found this place when traveling through and looking for a place we could have our dog inside when it was super cold out. Also has picnic tables in the back that are sheltered with heaters. They have charcuterie and there was a food truck out front. Would definitely stop here again!

Enjoyed our visit to the market. The store is clean and the isles were properly marked for our shopping convenience. We were looking for medical honey for wound care. Zach, with the store, was very helpful, but unfortunately the store didn't have the product we were looking for. Oh, the market also sells lunch. The market smelled delicious. We plan to return to the market for lunch in the near future.

My favorite store, always easy to get in and out. I love the Kanzi apples, the chocolate and the coffee the most.
Leia R — Google review
The deli has changed. I arrived after 2:15 pm and a fly was circling the hot bar, landed on some vegetables and the serving spatula for the salmon. Most of the cooked vegetables were already packed up but left uncovered. The salmon was uncovered too. This is the 3rd time that I have seen this fly problem between 2:00-3:00 pm when they are packing up and cleaning up near closing. It’s past time to get clear lids for ALL food on the hot bar & salad bar. Flies are very unsanitary. They’re always on dog poop, etc. They lost a sale today due to the fly landing on the salmon, the spatula for the salmon, and several vegetables. Staff was sweeping and unaware of the fly.
Pearl W — Google review
My mom and I were really looking forward to trying the hot food bar at Rosewood Market. But as soon as we walked up, we noticed a fly flying around then landing right on the salmon. We let the worker behind the counter know, thinking she’d take it seriously. Instead, she walked over, shooed it away. Then soon after, hit us with the neck rolling and lip popping. Her whole attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, like this happens all the time and we were the problem for pointing it out. Between the fly on the food and the attitude we got in return, it totally ruined the experience. Will not be returning!

This is for Columbia, SC Lincoln Street only. Beware of ordering online when they are busy. It took. 40 minutes to fill an order and they were not really apologetic about it. We waited there for 27 minutes while they finally made the hot items. Extremely poorly organized. When it’s calm, it’s fine but despite 5 people working, they are not able to keep and order and efficiently move orders through the grill.

the workers long hair went on my sandwich and I watch her do it to to-go orders food too. I told her I watched her hair go on my sandwich and she just took the toppings off and re-put them on. With free shuttle services and efficient parking arrangements, it offers convenience for visitors.
Great bands and layout for this festival. Multiple bands, beer distributors and food trucks made for a great experience. The free shuttle every 30 minutes made for free parking and was run very efficiently. Lines grew as the day progressed but no wait was too long. The bands were all very good.

St Pat's in Columbia, always a fun time! Whether you're going to get hammered, enjoy some music, or have fun with the family, there's something for everyone. Columbia doesn't get much right, but at least we do St Patty's day right!
John D — Google review
Upon attending the festival, I waited an hour for one of the vendors for a “turkey leg” as was advertised. According to the five points St. Patty’s Day website, they clearly stated that cash transactions were NOT allowed. Upon reaching the front of the line I was informed that “cash was the ONLY option”, contrary to the festival rule and lack of any signage. I did not have cash accessible given that I read the festival rules ahead of time, so the vendor grabbed the Turkey leg out of my hand!! We wasted an hour of our time waiting in a line, which did not follow the rule of the festival as advertised. Huge disappointed and ruined the whole day. Do better!
Makayla T — Google review
DO NOT pay for the leprechaun VIP. They do not deliver!!! Big hype but it is not what advertised for $125. Advertised there was special viewing access to the side of each stage for VIPs. We, along with others, were told no and that our wristbands did not qualify. After debating with one gent and his supervisor, they realized the event guidelines were wrong and we should be let in. The areas were completely empty due to the mistake. We were denied access at all other stages and tired of arguing. No food for hours and the chef “Joe” told a woman don’t be be “aggressive” when she simply asked where the food was as advertised. Amateur hour for a big event. Huge lines, no ice. Actual leftovers served in the heat from the opening. No food was in ice, to include chicken salad. The chef told us they ran out of food early in the day and the little food they brought out was “donations!!” Nothing VIP about this. Not worth it. Videos to follow!!!

When moving back to Columbia, I looked forward to attending. Now, the admission is no longer affordable. I would love to attend but with no discount for seniors, it's not in our budget. Such a shame that lots of us can't enjoy a hometown festival. It's all about the money not promoting something for locals. How about at least a senior's discount????

Well, we haven't had this Festival yet but it is coming in March! My wife at-the-time and I had our very first date at this local festival in March, 1997 to be absolutely precise. I have very significant dates that occurred in 1998 that confirm this year and month. The St. Pat's in Five Points Festival was the Grandaddy of all South Carolina Festivals WELL before 1997. I'm pretty sure it still is but that Saturday in March of '97 is still as clear as (well, hell we better not go there; this IS an Irish Festival to be exact. This place will be packed on this day this year and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. You very well may see my formerly drunk ___ there. I feel very sure that this year's Festival will have PLENTY for a non-drinking person like myself to do their.....holy ___, I'm getting excited just thinking about it.
Willis J — Google review
A large 1 day festival. Great for college students but not as many adults now that it became fenced and charges. No more crafts and artists exhibiting and selling. A great assortment of bands all worth the admission fee and lots and lots of food.
Joseph A — Google review
Advertised as family friendly and it was anything but that. There was no where to sit down and the kid area was outside the gate. (no security or barrier between drunks and kids) A highly intoxicated college aged kid fell into the ride my son and I were on. He broke the metal barrier and was hit by the ride. He then stumbled and took off running. I honestly don't know how he did not get badly injured or even worse. My son cried after that incident. I was mortified that I took my child to this. It was not a safe environment for kids and was falsely advertised. Extremely disappointed in every way!!

The hands-on experience is fast-paced and interactive, requiring attention and active participation. Participants not only enjoy the food they prepare but also have the opportunity to socialize with other couples in the class.
Have been to Let’s Cook Culinary Studio multiple times and each time I leave I’m thinking “why don’t I do this more often”! What a great date night/friends experience so much better than usual dinner out and a movie. Hands on cooking lessons that leave you with knowledge of how to make several awesome dishes and you get to eat what you made at the end of class!! The most recent class “Couples Summer Italian Cooking” was so much fun and super delicious. We made a lemon ricotta torte, eggplant Parmesan, tomato bruschetta and seafood risotto 👩‍🍳. Definitely put this experience on your list of things to do. Chef John is very experienced and knowledgeable about many different cuisines. He makes it so fun and interactive to learn how to make wonderful dishes.

I recently had the pleasure of attending Chef John's pasta-making class at "Let's Cook," and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, Chef John created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made the experience enjoyable and engaging. Throughout the class, we learned to make a variety of delicious dishes, including homemade ravioli, hand-rolled tortellini, and creamy fettuccine Alfredo. Chef John's expert guidance and passion for cooking were evident as he walked us through each step of the process, ensuring that we felt confident and capable in the kitchen. In addition to the pasta, we also made fresh bread, which paired perfectly with our dishes. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Nutella wontons served with ice cream for dessert—an indulgent treat that was the perfect way to end our culinary adventure. Chef John's enthusiasm for cooking is infectious, and his ability to teach is truly remarkable. Whether you're a novice or an experienced cook, this class is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and create delicious meals. I left feeling inspired and excited to try making pasta at home. Thank you, Chef John, for a memorable and delightful experience! 10/10 will be back again!

The Rosewood Crawfish Festival is a popular spring event in Columbia, offering a unique experience for both locals and visitors. The festival features an abundance of crawfish served with potatoes and corn, providing attendees with the opportunity to try this regional delicacy. While some may have expected more diverse food options featuring crawfish, the festival's main focus is on this particular dish.
This is the only spot in town to get crawfish brought in fresh from Louisiana! Great music and cold drinks always available! Has been a staple of the rosewood community for the past 20 years!
Mike B — Google review
This was a really fun and new experience for me, I have never had crawfish before and didn't know what was on the "plate" before I paid for one - and it is a huge mess of crawfish. A little potato and a small cob of corn, but otherwise, all crawfish, so you might want to make sure you like it first! I ended up liking it well enough. I had originally thought that there would be food vendors selling items that had crawfish in them, but no, just the one crawfish plate. And your $10-15 entry fee only gets you in the door. Parking is $5, the crawfish plate is $20, and of course, all the other food or rides cost money. THOUGH - the music is included and that was really good! I liked the two bands I saw, but there was so much down time between bands that I only saw most of one set and just the beginning of another after being there for an hour and a half on the baking hot blacktop. The smart people brought their own chairs and set up under the small amount of shade to the right of the stage. There are some cute kid's rides, including a more-thrilling round up for bigger kids. A few folks were out selling things like jewelry and baskets, etc, but not nearly as many as I thought there would be. I ended up with my huge plate of crawfish and a lemonade and some fries. Had I added in a dessert, that would have been a really nice lunch. The purple food truck near the stage was my favorite - I don't know their name, but they had alligator bites and more lowcountry food.
Sara W — Google review
Nice festival attended many times BUT a two hour wait in line for a plate of crayfish! Ya'll know there will be large crowds you could do a much better job serving the crayfish plates. $79 not including beverages for two people I won't be back. I'll just have live crayfish shipped to my home.
Dona H — Google review
We paid 45 dollars for two adults and two children 5&10, 5 dollars for parking, &25 for crawfish 6 dollars for 2 sodas, you had to bring your own chairs. You had to pay an extra $10 to get on the bouncy. Had to wait in a long hot line for more than 30mins. I will not be back a huge disappointment & not worth the money. I could have went to a restaurant and listen to music and ate better for that price !
Hanna V — Google review
What a disappointment! I had to wait 15 minutes to buy my tickets for the honor to buy my tickets to get a plate of crawdads, then I waited an hour in line to get them! Seems to me that most folks that come to a crawfish festival want to eat crawfish! To wait an hour in line is inexcusable! Only one outlet in the whole fairgrounds to get your crawfish! Then on top of it the crawfish were apparently frozen & not nearly as good as years past! Really bad experience & I won't be back unless they revert to the neighborhood experience as in years past! If it continues like this year, don't waste your money!
Alex V — Google review
Admission fee was higher than expected. Parking was very challenging. Once inside you had to pay for everything - except a couple of bands playing music. There were plenty of food vendors for those of us who do not like crawfish. Beer was also sold throughout. They had a large covered area with plenty of seating to eat.

Historic Columbia is a non-profit organization that offers tours of three lovingly restored historic homes in the heart of downtown Columbia. The Robert Mills House and Gardens, built in 1825, showcases an extensive collection of period pieces and decorative arts furnishings. Visitors can also explore the Woodrow Wilson Family Home and the Hampton-Preston Mansion to immerse themselves in South Carolina's history.
Historic Columbia and their team are wonderful!! I had correspondences with John, Kat and Jeff - they were all phenomenal. We were looking for a history tour to do because we were stopping in Columbia for a night and hadn't explored it. There were many wonderful sites to see on their website, but we just wanted an overview of the city and to learn more about the history - like we do in most cities we visit. We didn't see one online, but reached out and they connected us with one of their volunteers - Jeff P. - he did a wonderful tour and had tons of pictures from years back. We could clearly tell he's passionate about what he does. Kat was kind enough to suggest some wonderful restaurants and local spots to try out while we were in!! We truly loved our experience of Historic (and beautiful) Columbia. Thank you again, John, Kat and Jeff for making our trip so special!!

The Mann-Simons site is set up as a self-guided experience, so it seems unnecessary to require visitors to pay for a tour guide and drive around the small neighborhood in their own vehicles. It would be much more convenient if the home had open house hours, allowing guests to explore at their own pace rather than being required to follow a structured tour—especially if they’re only interested in one of the houses. While the exhibits consist mostly of videos and informational signs, the history itself is interesting. Overall, I’m glad to have visited the Mann-Simons house, but I was disappointed in the way the tour was structured.

In a number of cities, a select number of houses are preserved as museums - each house museum is often a standalone museum, and the homes that are preserved either had a notable figure(s) who lived there and/or have significant architectural features. Historic Columbia takes an innovative approach where multiple historic properties are under the same organization - this means the historic homes are collaborative with shared resources. It also provides Historic Columbia to tell a more complete story of Columbia's history looking, so they can tell the story of notable people (e.g., Woodrow Wilson, Wade Hampton) but also about regular people and their work to get ahead. Most of the homes come with a guided tour - that's why there are a limited number of tours each day for each house.

Do not just show up up here. Check the website to see if you can figure out when and how to visit some of the historic homes and gardens. Or contact them to ask... it definitely requires more planning ahead than I like to do on vacation. On your adventure, you can hope to learn about Columbia while you see architectural styles spanning three centuries. Or maybe you just wander through the neighborhood admiring the old homes on your own.

Toured the Hampton-Preston Mansion. Our tour guide Denise was an extremely knowledgeable. She went out of her way to answer all of our questions and really took the time to make our experience memorable. I am proud of the strides that historical Columbia has made to include the stories and experiences of enslaved workers that built and ran these properties. Highly recommend to anyone visiting.

This hard working group has preserved historic buildings for Columbia's citizens to enjoy. Their tours are fantastic. They stepped up and prevented our iconic landmarks from being razed when no one else would!
Lynda — Google review
The Historic Foundation saved several of the historic homes 50 years ago and prior to 2015 the tours gave great detail about those who lived in the homes and how they lived. Today the tours are more about political correctness.

We went to the candle light Christmas evening event it was a let down it was supposed to be how people of columbia celebrate Christmas but most of the decorations were plastic most of the tour guides were not as knowledgeable ha some would think Hampton Preston home -Robert Mills plastic reefs on the front doors it was a chaotic experience the horse and buggy ride we paid for was around the block in a wagon drawn by mules or donkeys veey short and uncomfortable ride soaking wet seats so we went on the tour with wet pants the staff was in running at the last minute unprepared .they did have a choir that really sound good while we should out in the rain waiting what seemed like a long time to finely get in only to get only one Christmas Carol when we did get in the house no one would take the time to tell where to go or what to do then the rushed us through the house it was over before it started it seemed I will say that one tour guide did do a great job was very knowledgeable Rose Mary she is English sad a brit knows more about the history of our land marks then the rest of the.lical tour guides who didn't seem to know anything only rushed us through and where not very friendly my advise for next year to the poor folks that were there with us is save your 50.00 dollars next year and go across the river to the Lexington museum were the Christmas event is free long lasting friendly in coustum guides and plenty of free food and refreshments with real demonstrations of how it was in those days lit fire places blacksmith and even enslaved people working in the kitchen columbia historic said there would be hot chocolate we saw none

This place is AWESOME. If you're looking for a place that is clean has great trails, beautiful views and natural habitat this is it. Walk, hike, jog, run, fish, bike, or break out the picnic basket and enjoy the peace.

Use to be a great place that was accessible for the public to get out into nature and hike and trail run. Now, it's closed to the public and northeast Cola no longer has an easily accessible location to get out in nature and exercise and enjoy the outdoors. There's Sesqui, but it cost to enter the park. Such a shame. I miss running after work and on the weekends.

This place used to be a wonderful place to take the family or do a photo shoot. They had so many trails and areas to fish and just relax. This was my first time visiting post-covid and it's absolutely horrible. The whole place is pretty much locked up and prohibited to "unauthorized" personnel. It's as though they spent the whole time during COVID locking this place down permanently. It's locked up tighter than ft Jackson. Don't even waste your time.

The Sandhills Research Park is a wonderful place to visit, exercise, and hike. There are quite a few wooded trails, plenty of wildlife, and a few ponds. In addition, the Farmers' Market makes the park much more worthwhile and fun. To top it off, the Sandhills shopping plaza is just a hop, skip, and a jump away.

We have been lifelong supporters of Clemson University. The way these workers treat people who are trying to enjoy the outdoors at this location is terrible. They actualy call the Sheriff on people walking on the property. You folks really should chill and understand who supports you.

Communication is lacking between healthcare providers. I do not want to speak with a PA or a NP. I paid the doctor to do surgery and fu not his assistants.
