Restaurant
Bar
Cafe
Johnny Brenda's is a charming indie rock venue located in Fishtown, offering craft beers and seasonal American eats. The venue features an intimate space with ambient lighting and rotating pool tables, creating a cozy atmosphere. Upstairs, there are nightly shows featuring local and touring musicians as well as experimental performance artists. The worn brick facade adds to the weathered, lived-in look of the place, giving it an unapologetic grit that is quintessentially Philadelphian.
I saw U.S. girls here. I came all the way from VA. Super impressed with this place - it’s beautiful, it sounds great, the staff are incredibly sweet. I love to see a smaller venue that values production like this and I’ll definitely be back! It was well worth the trip!
Madison T — Google review
Your venue/ bar was beautiful. I adored the setup and I loved the way you guys make your drinks and had a good time at the concert upstairs. Although, I’m not very pleased to hear how my artist was treated by your staff. I’m utterly disgusted actually. Get your mister micromanager in check. I’d come to the bar again, but definitely not a show again. Way to make him and his fans feel like shit. We’re all underground nerds and to make us feel so unwelcome in a space that’s supposed to be a place where we can finally feel welcome and like we “fit in” is just ridiculous. It’s disgusting. Be more accepting and treat my artists with respect, thanks!!! Definitely not good for a first impression of your bar.
Kayla B — Google review
Stopped into Johnny Brenda’s on a recommendation and I’m glad I did. The bar has that classic Philly character, worn in but clean with a comfortable atmosphere. Nik was friendly and quick behind the bar, making it easy to settle in right away. I ordered the smoked buffalo wings with a beer, and they paired perfectly. Music played in the background, just loud enough to set the vibe without drowning out conversation. Whether you’re here for happy hour or just looking for a relaxed spot, this place delivers.
UmmDavid — Google review
Four star bar but five star service. There are not a lot of food and drink options but the bartenders are very friendly and the vibe is fun. Consider this for a happy hour spot. I would come back to try out their karoake.
Kay — Google review
Saw David Wax Museum here tonight and we were thrilled at how intimate of a setting it was. Two floors from which to enjoy the bands, and all the views are enjoyable. Philadelphia seems to be replete with fun, decent people. At least it was here. :) We'll be back.
Daniel B — Google review
Unplanned visit. Got fish and chips. Very good. Crisp batter, hefty fish portion. Chonky chips that weren't completely mushy like wedges. Saved to my list of places to grab a fish and chips in Philly. Drinks and atmosphere were okay; usual rowdy Fishtown bar on a weekend night. Decor and theme was cool. Definitely open to coming back again with friends.
Harris Q — Google review
I’ve been to Johnny Brenda’s many times without issue—but only ever for drinks at the bar. Last night was my first time sitting down for food, and the experience was deeply disappointing. From the moment we were seated in the back, it felt like the staff had a problem with our group. We ordered food, and while we were mid-meal—still waiting for the rest of the order—the manager came over and asked us to leave. The reasons? That we were “too intoxicated,” gave the server “attitude,” and were “refusing to pay the bill.” None of this was true. No one in our group had ordered a drink from the server. The only attitude came from the server, who seemed annoyed before we even sat down. And how exactly were we “refusing to pay” when the meal wasn’t even over?. It’s clear there was miscommunication between the server and management. I understand the manager was trying to support her staff, but what she was told simply wasn’t accurate. We were sober, respectful, and trying to enjoy a meal. If your staff doesn’t want to serve large groups, just don’t seat us. But asking us to leave mid-meal (while handing to-go boxes) —without receiving our full order—and then bringing over security? Completely unnecessary and over the line. Frankly, I wish we had been drunk—maybe then this whole thing would be easier to forget.
Jessica T — Google review
I grabbed some food and beer before the show and it was really good. The venue for the show was super intimate with a great sound mix!

Jazz club
Located in the heart of Center City, Chris' Jazz Cafe is a popular jazz music venue that often showcases up-and-coming regional and national touring acts. The small cover charge varies depending on the night of the week, with musical performances presented at 8:00 p.m. nightly.
We came super late, 11:30pm but they had live music till 1am. It’s not your prestigious jazz, but for the late night I would call it a great jam session between multiple local jazz musicians. The drinks were spectacular though! Didn’t expect the quality for the dive bar. Recommend! To sit close to the stage is $15 pp, at the bar $10 pp + $10 min food and alcohol consumption pp.

Great night! We purchased tickets/dinner reservations for the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra on a Wednesday night(7pm show). We were sat at a requested middle table, great view of the stage. A wonderful night of young, talented musicians, delicious food and drinks. Great, Efficient service(Ethan). Accessible restroom. Not cheap, but Overall excellent evening! Will be back !
LISA — Google review
It was a nice venue, great acoustics. Went there to see The Chronicals. I only had the fried oysters but they did have some nice food choices on the menu. I would return.
Laura W — Google review
I’ve been there twice and always have an amazing time. The entertainment is excellent, they have the best cosmo, food is great, and the best servers in Philadelphia work here. Can’t wait to go back!
Shannon S — Google review
On our first night in Philadelphia a friend suggested we go to Chris' Jazz Cafe. He met us and we went for the Dinner show with Maya Belardo and her band entertaining us. Our waiter Rae was amazing and the food was terrific. We got there early and got a great table right up front. For all of us, it was our first time at a Jazz club and we absolutely loved it. We highly recommend everyone check this place out. Ann & Rick

Reservations are required I believe, and there is a cover charge. They have a bar in the front of the house which sometimes gets noisy, interfering with the music, but the music is always good, and so is the food.
Janet G — Google review
A few things are true: There's no better place in the city for seeing top tier jazz talents (especially if you're into traditional swing, but they lean bebop and straight-ahead some nights as well). Depending on the night, you can see young Lions about to break out, local leaders, or world-class Global stars. When the best of the best are in town, this is where they are at. The cocktail program is sneakily elevated. There are typically only 4 or 5 specialty drinks on the menu, but if you swing up to the bar when it isn't packed and chat with one of their local wizards, you'll realize the spot is a candy store for the fan of complex drinks. The food can be pricey, but it's worth it. I've been relying on this staff regularly for a few years, and they never disappoint. And if the main set menu is a bit expensive, wait for the Late Night Happy Hour, which is a delight and unbelievably cheap (strong Recc on the fried deviled eggs and taquitos). This is where musicians go to hear musicians, and as a result the community at Chris' is a marvel. Stand around the bar after the show or during a set break, you'll be eavesdropping on legends, Grammy winners, and cats who tour with rockstars. and if you go up and say hello, they'll be just as glad to talk to you. I count a lot of brilliant musicians among my friends, and that's because we've struck up conversations at the Chris' bar. Any given night, Chris' is a social club for jazz royalty, and that alone makes it a gem. If this sounds biased, it's because they've earned my bias through years of consistent excellence, generous service, attention to detail, and most of all bringing in the top tier talent that I want to see. So I figured it was time to stop being lazy and give them the 5 star review they earned from me a long time ago.
AR M — Google review
Saw the best jazz I've ever seen here! It's a great environment for being able to immerse yourself and really listen to the music. The space is smaller and the audience is respectful and there to appreciate the artists so you can really tune in.

American restaurant
World Cafe Live is a multi-level music hall located in University City, housed in a former art deco factory. It offers seasonal American cuisine and features two stages that cater to a variety of musical acts. The main stage downstairs provides an intimate yet spacious setting with excellent views and acoustics, while the upstairs stage hosts emerging artists and indie bands. Additionally, the venue is known for its Friday Free at Noon shows, making it a popular choice among locals and visitors alike.
Visited this venue last night 4/25 to see Matt Hansen and Steinza. Everything was amazing! Staff were all so nice and helpful throughout the night. Matt Hansens show was awesome to see and so much better then I anticipated. I highly recommend eating the food at the venue as well, I got the duck cheesesteak, which was the best duck I have ever had. Overall I will definitely be going back if someone else that I follow does a show there. Great place 👌
Ashley S — Google review
Very nice small and intimate venue. The concert was great. The food and drinks were so yummy. Good amount of space you can dance and stand. You can sit IF you make a reservation for a table and come in time. Also, Pear was amazing!
Katarina S — Google review
The show itself was great no issues with the performance. We waited over an hour for food service but to no avail. I went up to talk to the manager and he immediately started gaslighting me and saying "I had been there last week" and refused to talk to me or serve us. I literally had to threaten to have our whole table leave to get him to come over. It was ridiculous. Then they never brought us drinks we ordered and later tried to charge us twice on drinks we never got and billed us for another tables food and drinks. Through the experience all of the regular staff was understanding. The manager had it out for me for no reason and said I was trying to walk out on the table without paying when we already had paid! I am going to dispute the charges today that was ridiculous. Never going back.
Jonathan H — Google review
We love World Cafe. Saw another great show with Lez Zeppelin. They killed it. Jon Smith's Voyages opened and they were a great match and would see them again too. Chairs are alittle uncomfortable, Lez played for about 2.5 hrs nonstop! Well be looking for other shows!
Dan Z — Google review
first time attendance last night to see Pearl - let girls be hot tour! the venue is really cute, and the food was really good the broccoli fritters were bomb. the staff was so nice and accommodating and very attentive. the venue is so perfect to see shows and upcoming bands, its small but nor cramped so anywhere you are in the venue you have a good spot/view. we were in the show room on the forth floor. the one thing that annoyed me was when you call the venue you cant get anyone on the phone and the voicemail is full on all the extension, i tried any and all that i could and the recording would just repeat. we reserved a table for the show but even if we didn't it wasn't hard to get drinks at the bar
Angel S — Google review
I came here for the Voices In Power “OG” spoken word event and had the time of my life! The energy of the place was so amazing and truly unforgettable! wow .. the venue is beautiful and I hope to come back for more events like this :)

Our first visit . We were not disappointed. All procedures ran smoothly from ticketing , to parking, admission and seating. The Bar is well stocked. They made a killer Old Fashion ! The intimacy of the venue and masterfull sound board technicians made for a wonderful music experience. The entire crew were helpfull and made us feel welcomed. Congratulations on providing a memorable evening. Looking forward to our next visit.
Jeffrey K — Google review
I went to this venue for the first time - I don't live in Philly - and it was absolutely awesome! I had no trouble finding parking which was awesome because I am disabled and have trouble walking long distances. The other bonus to me on that topic was that the venue put chairs in the standing room GA section for folks with disabilities and I was able to really enjoy the show without being in pain halfway through. It was the best surprise ever! The space is excellent and a great size. The staff was all amazing as well! Everyone was so polite and friendly and went out of their way to help with anything they could. Definitely an above and beyond staff there. I also ate at the restaurant upstairs before going down to my concert. The Duck Cheesesteak is a huge winner in my book! I hope to catch another show here the next time I'm down in Philly!

Union Transfer is a historic live music venue that has emerged as an indie rock hotspot in Philadelphia. The venue has attracted some of the trendiest acts in the industry, as well as hosting a generous bar that makes it easy to get into the show if you're not feeling the opener. Additionally, Union Transfer is located just across from beer garden Llama Tooth, so you can easily combine good music and drinks for a great night out.
Good local concert venue with an intimate atmosphere. The bar offerings are somewhat lacking lacking but the aesthetics of the environment and friendliness of the staff helps to make up for it. Definitely recommend for any artists performing here!
Warmaster W — Google review
Great venue. So much space to be had. Not to mention the bleacher style seats on the top floor. The bar next to the entrance and merch room was great. Prices were what you'd expect, robbery. But the atmosphere was super chill. Being a Godspeed You! Black Emporer show a seated venue i feel would've been more appropriate so you can sit down and get sucked up into and off of this ephemeral soundscape of musical genius. It was transcendental standing transfixed at all the members of the band weave an ephemeral sound that's just as haunting as it is beautiful. I wish you could've been. These videos and pics can only do so much justice.
Peter ( — Google review
It was a great atmosphere for a good show. The layout was good, people flow was flowing. They had plenty of staff working the event. Drink prices were reasonable for an event. The bar and upstairs are 21+ only. I did get a screw in a tire parking in the rear lot, so be careful there.
Steven D — Google review
Great little place to see live music. My one complaint- needs more seating! We are over 50 and a standing only option for a live show is just rude. The folks working here were helpful and polite. Drinks were great. Everything was Great except we need more seating
Miss S — Google review
Great venue to hear live music. Multiple viewing areas including a balcony. Sound and lighting were top notch and the staff was excellent. Prices for drinks were high but average for live shows.
Douglas E — Google review
It is a decent intimate venue for music. I did VIP for a recent show. The process of Will Call tickets was easy. The VIP check in went smoothly. There was a belligerent patron that should have been arrested but management just banned him from the show. That was most disappointing especially since he was threatening to harm and kill people. The area around the venue seemed a little sketchy.
Kendra L — Google review
My favorite music venue in Philadelphia ! It is historic. I especially love the balcony. It’s spacious and fun to go to shows here. Most recent show here was Die Antwoord. My favorite place for live music in the city.
Nicole H — Google review
Was at the Hatebreed summer slaughter tour last night. We had paid for reserved balcony seats when the show was first scheduled at the Franklin and they were having technical difficulties when opening the doors and the balcony was closed so we ended sitting at table in the bar and as the night went on it started getting crowded by our table until the wife talked to Ally who talked to Maxx and when he heard he moved us up to the preferred seating area which made a world of a difference. So thanks again Ally and Maxx for being so accommodating.

Time Restaurant is a stylish whiskey bar in Center City that offers classic pub fare, live music, and dancing upstairs. With three bars and an extensive selection of over 190 whiskeys, it's a paradise for jazz and bourbon enthusiasts. The venue hosts live music almost daily, featuring local acts like the Rit Mo Collective and the Tim Brey Trio. The casual atmosphere allows guests to unwind while enjoying floor-to-ceiling windows that provide views of the bustling street outside.
If you’re looking for great live music and drinks, Time is definitely a spot to check out in Philly. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about my experience. The Bartender was attentive and made great drinks, the music was AMAZING, and the food was pretty good! It’s a great chill date spot in Center City and even if you just want to go for the music, each time I’ve been there it’s been great!

Went here for our anniversary dinner… atmosphere was great… music was amazing! Food was pretty good. Their whipped feta was extremely tasteful! Definitely recommend getting that as an app. Garage parking was expensive. We used the one literally in front of the restaurant .$30 for less than 2 hrs that we were there.

Time owes me nothing. Beautiful atmosphere! Amazing bartenders! Beautiful hostess. From the live band to the food . Great for girls night . A romantic night with your partner . Feels like a scene from love jones . I love this place ! And the food is delicious!

Time is a lounge that offers a relaxing atmosphere with two different sides to choose from as a guest. This review is about the bar side. On the bar side, you have the live music. We went on a Sunday night; therefore, there was live jazz. There is an automatic $5.00 gratuity added to your bill for the band. They were great! After each selection, they received a round of applause. We ordered Mac 'n Cheese (it's ok), Whipped Flatbread (it's phenomenal), and Shrimp and Grits (it's a hard no). My beverage of choice was a French 75. If you know... you know. Great atmosphere! Diverse crowd! This is a definite "repeat". Time lounge was definitely worthy of my time. SIDENOTE: To the three individuals whom we met on the way inside... thank "yaw"! The friendliness... the warmness... the "vibe" that was exudes was all "love"!

TIME is one of those spots that consistently holds up, whether you’re starting the night or winding it down. It tends to fill up quickly on weekends—especially Fridays and Saturdays—and there’s typically a cover charge, which is in line with what you might expect at most jazz venues (at least the ones I’ve been to). The drinks are solid—based on the few bartenders I’ve ordered from—and the food, while not much to rave over— gets the job done. The live music and mature crowd make this a reliable option when you’re looking for a good time with substance! If you’re into live jazz, decent bites, and want a laid-back but lively evening, TIME is worth checking out.
K L — Google review
Went for the live Jazz music experience. Didn't disappoint. The drinks were great. The food was pretty good. Got the calamari which was okay. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits which was amazing. Skip the whipped feta next time. Customer service was good.

Stopped in with my niece for happy hour (which runs until 7pm) and it did not disappoint. The mussels with sausage were a fantastic choice—tons of flavor and perfectly cooked. Drinks were reasonably priced and well made for happy hour. Our server was attentive and kept everything flowing smoothly. The bar windows were open, letting in a nice evening breeze that set the vibe just right. From what I hear, they also have live music on Tuesday nights, which makes me want to come back and experience it. Definitely a spot worth revisiting!
Takiyah G — Google review
Subject: Unprofessional and Discriminatory I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience my guests and I had at your restaurant. We were seated near the front door, where there was a strong draft that made the dining experience uncomfortable. When we politely asked if the door could be closed, the manager responded that he personally did not feel cold, mentioned he had received complaints about the restaurant being too warm, and said he would check the thermostat. Shortly afterward, he questioned whether we had even made a purchase, threatened to call the police for trespassing, and directed security to have us removed from the premises. This treatment was shocking, unnecessary, and felt discriminatory. We were simply asking for a basic level of comfort that should be extended to any paying guest. I am deeply disappointed by how unaccommodating and unprofessional this situation was handled. I hope you take this matter seriously and address this behavior with your staff so that no other guest is treated in such a disrespectful way.

With its garage door-fronted design, this spot invites you in for all-day dining featuring a menu rich in sandwiches and hearty options like nachos and blackened chicken paninis. While it may not boast the same music stage as its Old City counterpart, MilkBoy still offers an engaging experience perfect for catching a Phillies game on large TVs or unwinding after work at the full-service bar.
MilkBoy on Chestnut Street doesn’t just serve food; it stages a culinary performance that’s as dynamic as any rock show. The sweet potato fries take center stage with a crisp, golden crunch and flavor that lingers like a killer guitar riff. Pair them with their espresso martini—a velvety, bold number that hits all the right notes—and you’ve got a duet that keeps you coming back for an encore.

I didn't go here for the food. I went to see The Baseball Project. Upstairs. Great small venue. Up close and loud. Got to meet Steve Wynn and Peter Buck. Very nice.

Great corner bar with a wide range of food and nice variety of local beers. Started with wings and fries, then got a roast pork sandwich and a quesadilla. Everything was your run of the mill bar food; nothing blew me away but was still good. Beer was good. Place has live music so will have to come back to check out a local band.

Overall cool vibe in the bar. Food was pretty good. The waiter that we had seemed to have an attitude problem. Very unfriendly. My boyfriend and I got lunch with a friend. We ordered a side of fries with our cheesesteaks. He brought our friend’s food tray on top of our side of fries, so we assumed that the fries went with her tenders since he placed the trays down stacked on top of each other. (He said nothing when he brought the food to her). When he brought our cheesesteaks to us, he threw them on the edge of the table without saying a word. Didn’t place them in front of either of us. My boyfriend sat with an empty cup of ice for 15 minutes. The service was just overall not welcoming and bluntly, bad.

Nice restaurant downstairs from the venue. Quick polite service. The hangover burger was absolutely delicious and fries well cooked. Wish they had better NA beer options though.

My husband and I hosted a going away party this past weekend at MilkBoy and it was amazing! We wanted a casual spot to host our friends, where we could have more a cocktail/happy hour vibe versus a full sit down dinner. Anna and her staff were incredibly accommodating - they blocked off the backroom for us, moved chairs that we didn't want, made sure our friends had everything they needed, and were super helpful with separating bills so we could cover food and friends could cover their own drinks. Plus, food and drinks were great! My friends can't stop talking about the cheddar jawns. If you're looking to host a group gathering, don't discount MilkBoy. My only regret is that we didn't find out about this gem sooner!! I would have loved to host other parties here!

Nestled in the heart of Philadelphia, Bob and Barbara's Lounge is a beloved dive bar that exudes character and charm. With its eclectic decor reminiscent of an eccentric aunt’s living room—think mismatched furniture and disco balls—it invites you to unwind with a refreshing Lizard Punch or indulge in the iconic beer-and-shot special featuring Pabst Blue Ribbon paired with Jim Beam.
Nice place and the bartender was good. They had people playing jazz that was a pleasant bonus.

i love this place! this is my neighborhood spot--truly has some of the best bartenders in the city and a diverse clientele. i've had many, many interesting conversations here with both staff and patrons and have also met many new friends. and they serve their citywide ($5) (which they invented btw) with a PBR ($3 a can), which is the superior choice. i'm a single woman and usually go to this bar alone. whenever i've had problems with men here (happens from time to time, not the bar's fault), the bartenders have ALWAYS had my back (shout out to my girl, Kelly!!) both of the doormen do an excellent job of keeping things safe and in control inside the bar too. the food from their restaurant next door is exactly what you need after a night of drinking, and the events B&B holds are the shit. they have the best karaoke night in the city, and the drag night is absolutely worth checking out. the live music and dj's also never disappoint. and during football season, they have the games on (go birds!) it's a classic dive bar, maybe one of THE dives in the city. a MUST visit for any dedicated PBR-head. 10/10. oh! and also the bathrooms are clean!!!! what more could you want?? ps. it's cash only but there is an atm inside

A truly special and magical place that still exists. I hope it lasts forever. One of the beacons that keeps Philly unique. Looks like more tavern from the outside. Has these awesome musical notes bike locks. Live music. Incredible beer and shot specials. Crazy cool interior. Awesome bartenders and patrons. Protect this place at all costs.

The Twisted Tail is a popular Southern-inspired restaurant and bar located in the charming Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia. It offers a bi-level space with a sweeping sidewalk patio, perfect for enjoying cocktails, barbecue, and Southern American fare. The venue hosts live blues music on most nights, creating a lively atmosphere for visitors and locals alike.
I went here for Brunch with a few friends and the Twisted Tail was definitely worth it. The menu is extensive enough to cater to all different types of food palattes. They also have Champange sundays which was fun in which you pay 20 bucks for a bottle of champagne and the juice is free. They offer non-alcholic drinks as well, which were a bit pricey, but gives another option for people if they do not wish to drink. The food came out quickly and all tasted delicious. I want to come back for dinner to see how it compares.

I went for dinner with some of my closest friends to celebrate my graduation last week. It was about 14 of us so it was a large group dinner. Overall, the atmosphere was nice, it wasn’t too noisy and the hostess, Melinda, if I’m not mistaken, did an amazing job in making sure everyone was satisfied. However, I wasn’t that thrilled about not only the food but the sizes, they were very small. Especially the octopus! It was just one tentacle deep fried. I have attached a picture of the octopus and the steak. Also, it would be nice if the restaurant made a better set arrangement for the check considering the reservation was booked well in advance and they were aware of how big the table was going to be. I’d give it a 4/5!

The food is decent for brunch with a wide variety - but it’s pretty dark inside given the atmosphere (think like an English or Irish pub vibe). That said, they had a musician come in to sing jazz and play the keyboard, which was LOVELY. A very good brunch vibe, just wish it were a little more well lit.
Brianne M — Google review
We went for a quick bite and some drinks. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, and the vibe was really nice. Unfortunately the only good food were the oysters and popcorn. The taco was literally a whole chorizo and pre made cold tortilla with very minimal cheese, but the sauce was good. The octopus and potatoes were cooked well but tasted a bit odd and sort of dirt like? Again, the service was really good and everything was plated well! We did only have a few things and may have just gotten the not great part of the menu so I wouldn't completely write this place off.
Gaby — Google review
Christina H was our server, and she was so sweet! She was very knowledgeable about the menu, and even though I wasn't too hungry, she helped me navigate what foods were good portion sizes for that. The live music was phenomenal and such a vibe. Sitting in a piece of history is remarkable! Cannot recommend this place enough, we had a lovely time!

If I could leave more stars, I would! I took my daughter and her friends here for her 18th birthday dinner. We were treated like ROYALTY! The manager Anthony made the dinner extra special. The environment is warm, cozy and inviting. The food (even the presentation) was top notch, delicious, fun and the drinks were AMAZING as well. I would HIGHLY recommend and if you dont, your missing out. You owe it to yourself, friends/family etc to head over to have the best dinner, listen to some great live music and truly enjoy yourself.

Jazz club
SOUTH Restaurant & Jazz Club offers a modern twist on Southern cuisine and an extensive selection of whiskey in a trendy setting. The restaurant is known for its incredible brunch and live jazz performances, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Among the Cajun and Creole dishes, the buttermilk fried chicken stands out with its honey drizzle, served alongside creamy turkey collards, drop biscuits, and potato au gratin.
We had another phenomenal experience at South Jazz Kitchen Club! I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken with sweet potatoes and smoked collard greens, while my wife had the smoked jerk turkey wings with creole rice & beans and collard greens. We also shared the mac & cheese and cornbread—everything was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was exceptional. We arrived late without a reservation after another restaurant plan fell through, and they still found a way to seat us outside on a beautiful night. The atmosphere was superb—great food, great service, and a warm, welcoming vibe that made for a perfect date night. Every visit here has been consistently excellent, and this one was no exception. South Jazz Kitchen Club always delivers, and I’ll continue to recommend it to anyone looking for amazing food and a great experience in Philly!

I had an amazing experience at South Restaurant in Philadelphia! From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The ambiance was everything!!!!! The cornbread was absolutely unforgettable; warm, buttery, and packed with flavor. The chicken was seasoned down to the bone, so much so that at one point I felt like I was back home in Jamaica enjoying a home cooked meal. On top of the incredible food, the service was top-notch. My server, Markeith, was a true gem; attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. South Restaurant is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food and great vibes in Philly!

This place is amazing! The service from the greeter, bartender, and management were stellar. We had a curated, private dinner here. Everything was delicious from the drinks, appetizers, main entrées, and dessert. The ambiance is EVERYTHING! Highly recommend. This was the best food and service I received the entire week in Philadelphia. The mushrooms stuffed with greens and vegetarian jambalaya were my favorites. If you're ever in Philly, you gotta check this gem out!

We were there for dinner and the jazz concert. Both were outstanding! The venue for music was really good. The acoustics were great and although our table was about as far from the stage as possible we could see and hear everything quite well. The food was great! We started with the skillet cornbread. 😋 Sweet, buttery, hot. Yum! Between us we ordered the jambalaya, 2 duck breasts, and the turkey wings. Everyone cleared their plates.🦃🦆🍗😋 Our server was very attentive, helpful, and friendly. Overall, it was an great experience and we will DEFINITELY return for dinner and a show!

Made a reservation for the live show Friday night at 7pm dinner starting at 615pm. Honestly the vibe was excellent, people were dressed nicely, happy, having a good time, and the food was excellent. Perfect for date night and splitting a bottle of wine. Cozy and friendly atmospere. I wish we were hungry enough for dessert. We got cornbread which was perfectly fluffy, a little sweet, and had a very nice crispy top that im still wondering how they got. Maybe the salamander. Shrimp and grits and the jambalaya. Grits were to die for. Jambalaya perfectly spicy but not too much for a white boy. You know you are in a place that is confident in their seasoning when there's no salt or pepper on the table. The musicians were funny, entertaining, and a delight to watch. Im not a huge music guy but my foot was a tappin. Would go back again for a date night.

The Theatre of The Living Arts, also known as TLA, is a historic midsize venue located on South Street in Philadelphia. Originally a movie theater dating back over a century, it has been transformed into a premier concert hub that hosts up-and-coming musicians from various genres. With a capacity for 1,000 people, TLA offers an intimate setting for music enthusiasts to enjoy live performances.
Went here for a Harry Mack concert. Next time we should definitely come sooner for better views. Mostly standing only room from what I saw. We ended up at the top. There’s an area with seats in the center of the top but I’m not sure how you got the seats. Full pay down check to get into the venue and they checked all pockets of my Fanny pack. We did street parking about 2 blocks away and it was less than $8 for 3 hours.
Jordynn B — Google review
overall the venue is pretty good; standing on the balcony is great and very fun, and drinks are not expensive. the only negative is most of the toilets did not flush for some unknown reason. but despite it being a sold out show, I did not find it too crowded or hot or unbearable, and the staff were generally kind (except, why do they have to open every single thing in my bag, I'm not hiding anything in my earplugs or my allergy meds)
Natalia — Google review
Decent medium size venue right on South St. We come down from NY to see shows that get sold out locally. Definitely been here when they've oversold tickets to where it's unreasonably crowded, but overall not as bad as any of the Bowery Presents venues in NYC.

I've been to the TLA a handful of times and it never disappoints. Staff is professional. Bathrooms are somewhat clean (depends on the crowd). Also a decent variety of drinks to choose from.
Shaggy M — Google review
Fun little spot to see bands. I have been here around 10 to 12 times. It's primarily standing with some balcony seats and a vip bar area on the lower level with some stools and tables. I have always opted for the standing room tickets, but as I get older, the seats are looking more attractive. They did a good job of getting ppl bracelets for drinking as we waited in line outside. The patting down process was a bit time consuming, but worth the wait for our safety. The delays were mostly ppl who didn't pay attention and had to be asked to empty their pockets, etc, instead of being ready when it was their turn. Once inside about 40 minutes until show time, we just made our way along the far right side as close as we could get to the stage. I don't drink at shows, so it's a matter of trying to carve out your spot, then keep it as more and more ppl come in and push towards the stage. We made out pretty well this show and only moved a bit as folks crowded us. Saw Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame, doing all SP songs. Opening band was cool and heavy, we met them at the merch booth and they were great. They were called Return to Dust (1st pic). At just before 9, Billy came out rocking and kept it up for 2 hours with a few lighter songs mixed in. Another great time at the TLA

Sat in the balcony for Mereba. It was an amazing concert. The theater's acoustics magnified the angelic voices of Anaiis and Mereba. The seats were comfortable. The strawberry lemonade from the bar was delicious. Great venue! I can't wait to return for another amazing artist.

Sound mixing from the mics was a little rough, but the workers in and outside the venue did such an excellent job. Incredible crew.
Nick — Google review
Stellar sound, Killer shows, burnt out staff, and a battlefield of backpack purses. TLDR: Absolutely electric vibe at TLA. Standing room only, but you’ll see the whole stage unless you’re behind a human skyscraper. Shows? Incredible. Staff? Eh. Tip: leave the backpack purse at home unless you're looking for a side quest in survival. 4/5 stars — A great show with a side of sass. If you're coming to the Theater of Living Arts (TLA) for the music, you're definitely in for a night to remember. Every show I've seen here—most recently James Bay—has been absolutely electric. It's that sweet spot between cozy and crammed: standing room only, but not shoulder-to-shoulder chaos (unless you're front row, in which case, Godspeed). The layout means that unless you're behind someone built like a human obelisk, you’re getting a solid view of the stage. The sound quality is consistently great, and the vibe during performances feels personal in the best way—intimate but not claustrophobic. Now, for heaven’s sake, do not wear a backpack purse or bring any kind of bag. It’s a tight squeeze in there, and nothing kills the magic faster than when Jazzercise Janice starts ricocheting beside you. One moment you're being serenaded by a voice you adore, the next you're locked in a full-on gladiator match with a Steve Madden mini backpack. As for the staff—well, even when they're friendly, there’s this simmering “I dare you to make my night worse” energy. You can just feel that they're over the nonsense… but I’m not the nonsense! Still, it’s a buzzkill when you’re met with side-eye for just existing. All that said? I’ll keep coming back. The TLA delivers incredible shows in a one-of-a-kind space. Just lace up, pack light, and prepare to vibe. Because when the music hits, everything else fades away. #TLAphilly #JamesBayLive #PhillyConcerts #StandingRoomChaos #ConcertTips #LiveMusicLove #venuereview #phillynightlife

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, a modern glass and steel venue, serves as the home for various performing arts in Philadelphia. It was established in 1996 to provide a space for The Philadelphia Orchestra and other prestigious performing arts companies. The center comprises three major venues: Verizon Hall, a 2500-seat concert hall; Perelman Theatre, a 650-seat recital theater; and SEI Innovation Studio, a black box theater.
Had an amazing time here, the venue itself is really beautiful and the drinks are reasonably priced for what this venue is like. The orchestral number was magical and all of the staff were very attentive, would definitely return here again. Tickets are pretty expensive but you get good sound quality anywhere that you sit. It is convenient to get here with public transit if necessary, parking may be kind of tricky. Definitely trying to visit again the future if I can!!!

Gorgeous venue, great acoustics. Parking, at least on my first visit, is a total joke. We could not pre-buy parking immediately adjacent to the Kimmel on Broad, so we prepaid days in advance for the next lot at 440 S Broad. We arrived probably 5-10 minutes before the show. The attendant turned us away to a lot on Locust claiming the lot was full ....how is that, we prepaid! She assured us they would accept our prepayment there. We had to use the call button on entry and exit but did get it to work. Probably cost use another 5 minutes. Had to make a turn on Broad to get to the lot on Locust...it was full to the top deck except perhaps 6 spots. We finally got into the venue about 10 minutes late and missed one song. Not so sure how to deal with this but to leave much more time than you think. We had planned to arrive 30 minutes early but I95 and the local streets weren't having that!😀

Beautiful building. Very steep stairs. Expensive tickets and the show was interrupted by audience talking then a verbal altercation and fight which started over people arriving 40 mins into the show and others being in their seats. Unfortunately very stereotypical Philadelphia. My kid was crying he felt unsafe and wanted to go and other people did leave but I whispered to him, the people were being removed and we were safer in our seats then going to the lobby or parking lot at that point. Felt bad for the ushers, need security not just at the door. Also felt badly for the actors. Good show otherwise.

The Fillmore Philadelphia is a large, industrial-style concert venue with a full bar and balconies that showcases a lineup of music artists. It opened in 2015 and has since hosted big names in rock/pop/country, including Brothers Osborne, Kacey Musgraves, and Flogging Molly.
Huge event space for concerts and sit down shows. Part of the entertainment complex, it's large, clean, well laid out, surprisingly accessible and relatively affordable. Restrooms are available and accessible on both levels. Bars on each level satisfy even a boisterous crowd. There are signature drinks based on the event. The kitchen provides bar staples quickly. The seats are comfy. The restrooms were large and clean. The acoustics were incredible given the large space and high ceilings. There are areas for the perfect photos. There is "official parking " for the venue as well as street parking and a hustler's lot nearby. The venue is well run with a lot of t-shirted people who will assist making the experience pleasant from security to entry to seating to exiting.

M. R — Google review
As someone who attends 15-20 concerts a year, the Fillmore ranks in my top 5 venues. Lets start with things that are done well: -check in is usually pretty fast and easy. Even for sold out shows, i feel like the line moves well. And they do very well at communicating VIP/Fast Pass directions. -the in venue food and drink options...amazing. This isnt concession nachos and hot dogs. This is made to order stuff, and well worth it. -the staff is top tier. I've done VIP events with early access. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and communicates directions well. And its clear safety is a huge priority for the guests. The security team at the front of the stage is also top notch. Theres about 3-4 i see every show and they're great at their jobs, engage with fans in friendly conversation and between sets, pass out water during the hotter months. -the sound and view are always great, i've never had a complaint here. For opportunities, theres just 2 things I didnt really like: -the stage seems small, and limited for bigger acts. And going to the show itself, you may not notice, but for example, a recent Trivium/Bullet for My Valentine show, I saw at The Fillmore, and then when I saw them on the same tour again at Wind Creek in Bethlehem, there were screens and stage items that werent set up at the Fillmore. Again, not the worst, and had I not seen them twice, I wouldnt have known, but its a quirk i watch for now. -merch stand location. They do well by making the line go towards the stage, and the exit of the stand go straight to the doors, but the location and set up of the line puts the stand around a corner, and you cant really see the merch until you're at the counter buying. Again, not something world ending, but i feel bad because im not always ready when i get to the counter and feel like im holding people up. It may have been a band specific thing, but Spiritbox used a QR code to view merch even further back in the line. If they just did this with photos of the merch stand at a venue level, this could make it easier.

Love this place, highly recommend, it’s incredible. Ngl the vip tables suck. Ceiling cuts off view, can’t get hype with the crowd, can barely see the artist. If you hate music and people sit here. I was fine cuz you can stand on the sides up top. However, venue is golden. No long lines, good drinks, big area. One of my favorite venues. Will never sit at a table tho that was garbage ❗️

Amazing experience! We went to the Golden Girls Drag Brunch for a Bachelorette party and it was great! We had about 18 people ranging from 19 - 69 yrs old and everyone had a great time. Customer Service was extremely helpful with booking the large group, the staff got us checked in with ease, the wait staff was friendly and efficient. The show was AMAZING!!!! We are already planning to go again for upcoming shows. I have nothing bad to say.

Food was very tasty! I highly recommend the CW burger! So good! Fyi - the Greek salad wasn't really a salad, in the way that i think of a salad. It had all the usual ingredients except for any kind of lettuce. The charred eggplant dip was a definite hit with us. So good w the warm pita pieces! The red wines on tap were very tasty too! We enjoyed our time there! Lisa was great! We will definitely be back!

The food was okay, but it would have been better if there was meat and side dishes. Some of the food tasted really good, but other parts needed more flavor. I also wish the tables had been set up like a big family, so everyone could sit together easily. Some people moved to small spaces where the table had a gap, and it was hard to watch the show because they wouldn’t move back into the middle.

Nice place for Happy Hour and show. Lisa took very good care of our table and had great suggestions since this was our first time dining and trying the wines at City Winery. The show was awesome. Great acoustics.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Stopped in for a drink and appetizers. The sauvignon blanc was great. Ordered a flat bread and the dip platter. The flat bread was great...pepperoni and sausage with hot honey. The dip platter never came out, so no opinion on that. I think a runner brought it out to the wrong table. Not blaming the server...bartender was super friendly and answered all of our questions about food drinks, etc. I will go back

Beautiful and cozy venue for a show. Employees are very professional and friendly. I’ve seen many shows over the years, they never disappoint. Easy access to parking and about a 30 second walk to the City Winery. Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees was incredible.

Although the table setting was a bit tight & I get it that it was for maximum dollar effect to pay the feature artist & overhead! However should be rethought alongside…quantity vs quality sized “tapas” were off (more like children’s menu portions or hor d’oeuvres) yet tasty - just must double up. Sound tech was busy on her phone, instead of gaging the board and the artists and made the opening acts sound really bad with unnecessary overtures, when they were actually great! So whomever she was texting I hope they got her message. A teaching moment for the greeter, if going to be the face of the entertainment venue, welcoming and directing other staffers to guide PAID guests’ seatings to enjoy a happy event, don’t be rude, snide, unempathic and more observant also pleasant with a smile also helps. I am handicapped with a broken leg and was “ordered to move on from one place to the next” without context or direct eye contact, just to show my ticket. And stop yelling at staffers just because you can’t hear, there was nothing to be said! A little more attention needed to the restrooms, smelled and looked like a camp site outhouse. However what made my experience grand was Jalena my host (she was more than a waitress/service attendant!) She catered to me from the moment we were seated answering questions and providing feedback of favorites from food selection to wine. And ALL her recommendations were on point just as her attentiveness attitude and spirit. She deserves a raise and recognition for being the epitome of providing an authentic superior experience! The artists are all a fantastic selection, especially since it was my first live performance and hearing J Howell! Now he’s on rotation forever and the opening DJ H Vidal is fire, he set the tone for sure! Loved the camaraderie of the dual DJs as they complimented each other, it created the perfect atmosphere for a great night!

I didn’t necessarily come for any of the above, but most of it met my expectations. The food I had was recommended which were the Mediterranean wings. I usually like my wings, hard fried and I didn’t ask so they were a little undercooked for some reason but other than that, everything else was amazing And of course the main event which was Lunelle topped off the night

Live music venue
Underground Arts is a subterranean space that facilitates a wide variety of performances, including music, comedy, poetry, theater and other performances by emerging artists. The venue can be difficult to find parking near but the cavernous layout carries sound to every corner with little noise reduction.
Cool venue with plenty of nearby paid parking. The staff are adamant about safety, which is appreciated, especially with there being a bar. Drunk idiots who can't behave themselves at a show are kept in line without much chaos. The venue has a snack bar and seating area in the side room in case it's a sold out event with a big crowd, which is also nice if you get a overwhelmed or just need a break from all the people. Happy to see them offering coat check, which is only a couple of bucks! They also have a pretty great selection of N/A drinks, and everything is pretty reasonably priced.

We've listened to Destroyer and it was unbelievably good. Staff is very friendly. The Location is pretty good and venue was clean and I was happy finding water and clean cups just outside the rest rooms.

We had a spectacular time here. Word of warning though, it can get a little hot. It's literally UNDER GROUND so you will feel a little claustrophobic but the security was on point. They have a very strict ID system so make sure your ID is up to date. You will not be allowed in without one or if your ID is expired. We enjoyed the featured drinks for the main event and the coat check. The bathrooms were okay but felt a little exposed. It was clean. The stage was very well lit and I was able to see the band(s) where I was standing.

4.5 stars would be most accurate. Yes, Underground Arts get some great acts. I’ve seen multiple shows here and had great times. In fact, one of my favorite concerts ever happened here. The location is not too big so you can pretty much see from anywhere. And because the merch table is in the concert area it’s quite often open for the entire show so you can pick up something during during the sets. Is it a beautiful concert hall or some amazing building? Not exactly. It has the true indie feel of going to see a band in the basement down to the industrial beams that can block your view, depending on where you’re standing. Think black light parking lot with a bar, actually more than one bar when the doors are open to the other part. Everyone’s at the same level, so it’s all equal maybe not equitable if your short standing in the back but equal. The place holds a max 650 people which when a concert is sold out is basically the equivalent of a sardine can. this is my main reason for thinking about giving four stars instead of five. There was barely enough room to get from the front door to the bathroom without having to excuse yourself two dozen times and getting to the bar on the main floor was nearly impossible unless you went to the other bar. There’s not much the venu can do about this. There’s not that much room, but it does make things a little bit more difficult. Like the rest of the glow-in-the-dark art, they could make a glow-in-the-dark path on the ground to get you from one side to the other. People might not comply, but it would help I think. The building is ADA compliant and there is an elevator to get in and out. You need to talk to staff to do that because the main entrance is steps up and then steps down, so if that’s difficult talk to the staff member about elevator.

Is a really nice spot for venues, it has two rooms bunch of fluorescent graffiti art on the inside, they have limes for tequila shots but they don't have salt. Their pierogies are delicious. How to blast here seeing Iniko.

Pub
Fergie's Pub is a classic Irish establishment in Center City that offers a lively atmosphere with live music and open-mike comedy shows. On St. Patrick's Day, the pub hosts an energetic celebration, drawing in a diverse crowd looking for great music and delicious mussels to accompany their drinks. Nearby restaurants like Good Dog Bar & Restaurant provide additional dining options for patrons seeking a tasty burger or entertainment such as pool and music selection from an Internet jukebox.
I love a good pub! They pour a decent Guinness, and the food was delicious. I had the Brie, Apple sandwich. Someone else had the burger, which was spectacular, and the Guinness onion soup was perfect.

The bar staff were lovely, the atmosphere is great and the band were very talented but we went specifically for the karaoke and I signed up when it started at 9pm and waited until 12:30am but my name was never called. After asking the lady running it how it works, it turns out you have to either know the staff already or bribe the band to play your song (after already paying a $7 entry fee). If you want to do karaoke I wouldn't recommend going here. Save your money and go somewhere else.

GO HERE. Although my sister ~did~ get served an expired canned alcoholic drink that made her stomach hurt…the Guinness and live band karaoke upstairs made up for it. The live band karaoke was PHENOMENAL and SUCH an amazing fun time.

They will HOUND you for that $10 minimum but can’t even be bothered to crank the A/C. Honestly this place is just weird, and just like the other reviews state, the wait staff are rude and also weirdly presumptuous. My friends and I were initially excited to come here for trivia night. Before trivia, we stopped at a place that was basically next door for some ice cream. We ate our ice cream and realized we were getting pretty close to the start of trivia, so we entered the building with our basically empty ice cream cups so we could throw them out in there. Well this infuriated the one server. She came over and gave us a heck of an attitude and scolded us for the empty cups of ice cream, saying “there’s a $10 minimum each, ya know, and here you are with ice cream.” We said we fully intended to buy $10 worth of drinks and appetizers (which we did by the time trivia was over). I totally get that we shouldn’t come in with outside food, but 95% of it was eaten and we just needed to discard the cups at that point. We proceeded to order drinks, sodas, and apps to enjoy while playing trivia. This didn’t stop the server from going around to all four of us separately and reminding about the $10 minimum. I was so close to just handing the rude server a ten dollar bill just to get her to shut up about it. And to top it off, the wildly obnoxious trivia host also went on a rant about how each of the patrons needs to purchase a minimum of $10 food and drink. If your business is THAT stressed out about this $10 minimum, that raises so many red flags, including 1.) it’s just tacky to harass your customers for $10+ and 2.) it makes one wonder how well your business is doing if you need to remind your customers all throughout the night about the minimum. Also, if you’re that worried about making sure you’re meeting a certain quota for the night, just charge $5 at the door for trivia. That’s much less annoying. Oh, and lastly, don’t go there if you plan to be a designated driver or if you’re someone who doesn’t/can’t drink. I asked for a Dr. Pepper and the rude server said “we don’t have any,” so I asked for a Root Beer and she said “we don’t have want” and then I said Sprite and guess what… they don’t have any. Apparently they only have Coke and Ginger Ale. I get that it’s a pub, but it’s 2025 and almost everywhere has at least soda options for those not drinking. Very weird experience and a very hostile environment and I was sweating bullets the entire time because the A/C wasn’t on. Thankfully I have a different spot I usually go to for Thursday night trivia!

Was in Philly looking for a place to eat and found Fergie’s pub. The atmosphere is old time Irish pub looking. The food was pretty good although they overcooked the burger. I would recommend especially if you’re hanging out in the Gayborhood and want a place that isn’t very loud. Try the fried pickles they’re divine.

Went here for a 90s/2000s music night. Heard decent things about the place so I was optimistic. The venue is pretty compact and thus the dance floor is really small.. I think it was 6 or 7 bucks for a beer, kinda pricy. The vibe is alright I guess, bartenders were quick despite the volume of people. DJ was either green (new) or just not skilled so that was a bit of a disappointment. A banger gets put on for 30 seconds before getting transitioned to a different song even though the crowd was vibing. This is a trend I notice from a lot of DJs that I find frustrating; let tracks play out for a little while.. Hard to say if I'd come here again, the location isn't great either IMO. Parking situation is horrendous, either pay $25 to park in the nearby lot or have fun driving around the surrounding streets and having to parallel park in a space that gives you a foot at most of wiggle room.

Great beers and great music, what else could you ask for… and don’t get me started on the hot dogs, 10/10. The owner talked to us and filled us in on the history of the bar and gave us a round to celebrate my friends graduation. Easily one of my favorite bars in the city. Highly recommend!

I only got one beer, but this review is for the bands! Hands down the best sound booth tech in the city! Considering how small the venue is, they do a phenomenal job. Not only could you hear the guitars, bass, and drums equally, but I could actually hear the singers as well! As a Wagnerian tenor, that's important to me!!! “Best Wedding Ever!” And “The most fun I’ve ever had at a wedding!” Are those phrases you want to hear repeatedly from your guests? Then this is the venue to have your wedding reception at. I had mine there last weekend and everything went better than expected. Kyle and the staff were on it serving up drinks and dogs quickly and kindly. They really care that everyone has a good time here and is taken care of. BONUSES: You can take your wedding photos at Liberty Lands half a block away AND Kyle owns a flower shop (Holland and Stokes) so they can do your flowers too. If you wanna keep the stress low on your big day that is the way to go!

Hey fam what’s poppin?? Me and the boys from school came here on a field trip last month. Well our field trip was to somewhere else but this was the lunch stop! Me and the boys were lucky enough to get a booth. Us 8th grade boys can be kinda sus if we sit at a table so we were sure to get a booth. That was sigma. The food was absolutely BUSSIN and we couldn’t ask for better service. I got a burger and Connor, nick and Ryan got sliders and chicken tenders. The food was really good and it seemed expensive idk though because our teachers paid haha ! Now onto the atmosphere, there is only a few booths so if u want one u might have to fight tooth and nail for one and if u get a table ur gonna be sitting on a hard wooden chair. Hurts the ol hemeroids ! The service was so skibbidy ! The waitress was really funny and friendly and all our food came out fast and accurate! I heard one of my teachers tell the waiter that she can’t eat certain things and he called the chef out and the chef smashed the guitar 🎸 case glass with a hammer, pulled it off the hook and threw it on the grill and served her a grilled guitar. We bullied her for eating the guitar because that’s weird!! Me and the boys r gay and we wish we had the cute waiter our teachers had! He was a hottie!!! The music they play here is so biker and feels like ur blacking out at a bikers clubhouse and pissing ur beer out in ur saddlebags! Definitely recommend this place for a good meal!!! This place is so sigma! 6-7. Six seven !!!!

Our server Tristan was amazing. Loved him. The memorabilia was very cool, nothing less than what you'd expect from a Hard Rock. The gift shop was well stocked. We purchased drumsticks(which we get from every hard rock we go to for my percussionist son), shot glass and magnet. $60+. Our food was great! Prompt, hot and delicious. We got the hot honey chicken sliders and nachos with grilled chicken added. I got the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with fries. It came with pickles and coleslaw on it. Very yummo! I also ordered the strawberry basil lemonade 🍋 very delish! Would definitely recommend going here and ask for Tristan!

Hard Rock Cafe Philadelphia has seriously upped its game! The updated menu is fantastic — the nachos are piled high with all the right toppings, and the burgers are juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. There’s a great mix of classic favorites and some new additions that make it worth a return visit. The seasonal drink menu is also a standout — creative, refreshing, and ideal for pairing with a hearty meal or just sipping while soaking in the fun atmosphere. Don’t miss the gift shop either! It’s got a fun, eclectic mix of music-themed merchandise and city-specific items, perfect for grabbing a souvenir or gift. Whether you're a tourist or a local, this spot is a fun, vibrant place to eat, relax, and enjoy some rock 'n' roll vibes.

Lot of crowd but plenty of tables so no need for reservations. My husband and I just walked in and they offered us a table and menus. We ordered some drinks and food, specially we tried the Messi burger. It was good. They have souvenirs of various popular singers. A lot of them. Really nice atmosphere. They have a bar separately, we can go and order directly from there also without getting a table. Overall nice different experience. Very good service from the staff. Waited 30 mins for our food, wasn’t overly crowded. The heat/Ac unit was broke I believe the heat was on because it felt like it was 100 degrees in there. The mash potatoes were cold and separated once they came out, they took them back and put them in the microwave. The shrimp was okay, it was on a bed of rabbit food. The place needs a real update, it has the vintage vibe what I like but it can use some fixing up! I loved our waiter he was really nice!

I stopped in for lunch and it was pretty busy, but I was able to get a table right away. The servers were friendly and prompt with the food. I and a friend did the lunch for two which cost $30. We had the margarita flatbread pizza, and both had the burger and fries which are included on the lunch menu. Everything tasted great and it was a nice atmosphere. I have been to many other hard rock cafés and this one is OK compared to others.

The Wells Fargo Center is a versatile indoor arena located in Philadelphia, hosting professional basketball and hockey games for the 76ers and Flyers respectively. In addition to sports events, it has also been a venue for over 600 concerts since its opening in 1996. The center attracts top mainstream artists and has seen iconic performances like Pearl Jam's tour for the 25th anniversary of Ten.
This venue is well organized, clean, and spacious, offering plenty of food and drink options. I’ve never encountered such a complete food court. While the venue primarily hosts hockey games, it is also well-utilized for concerts. The ground seating is spacious and thoughtfully arranged, and the acoustics are quite impressive. Just be prepared to spend around $60 on a box of chicken fingers and a drink, and parking costs $40, although it is fairly well organized. Overall, it's a fantastic venue.

I’d give this venue 5 stars but the way they handle GA entry is very very chaotic. They appear to have no plan leading up to 5 min to doors opening. The employees were rude & gave conflicting instructions on how to structure the line, which caused panic to set in over a crowd. Recipe for a disaster. Other than that the venue and event was amazing. Great sound and the venue stays relatively cool on the floor, not extremely hot like others can become. SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM : Have GA ticket holders line up At 9 a.m. on show day, guests will receive a numbered wristband. This represents the order they will be lined up in to access the GA area. Numbered wristbands are to be distributed until 4:00 pm. *LEAVING PRIVILEGES: Once the wristband is received, guests are free to leave and return to designated entrance no later than 4:00 p.m. *RETURNING TIME: All guests with a wristband must return to the designated entrance and be lined up in order by 4:00 p.m. to have wristband number honored. *LATE ARRIVAL: If a guest with a numbered wristband arrives after 4:00 p.m., the guest will be placed in line after the last guest in line. Guests without wristbands arriving after 4:00 pm will also be placed in line after the last guest in line.

I've been here a few times for concerts. Nice venue for arena shows. Sound quality was good. Security and entrance process was quick and easy. The prices are high for food and drink as expected. Merchandise lines were outrageously long but for a sold out concert that's expected. Bathrooms were convenient and clean.

Xfinity Mobile Arena is a truly great venue. It is very modern, very easily navigated, and the seats are all terrific. The seats have a good amount of legroom and are sufficiently comfortable to enjoy watching the game. We went to a Flyers hockey game, but the Sixers also play basketball at this venue. The hockey game was a great time. The crowd was invested and the mascot (Gritty) kept the fans engaged and happy. There are plenty of vendors walking the aisles during the game with snacks and souvenirs, or visit one of the shops in the promenade for more choices, table-service, or to find food that can’t travel. Crowd control is excellent here. Security at the door does an excellent job getting people into and out of the building. Generally, the staff at the shops, restaurants, and around the venue have a pleasant demeanor and will try to help you as best they are able. Parking and traffic are the usual headaches for sporting events in major cities. Plan for a decent amount of time to get into and out of the venue and the city. You’ll have a fantastic time here with friends, family, or with other fans. Whether you’re a new fan or old-school, a visit to Xfinity Mobile Arena is enjoyable. From start to finish, the entire process is smooth and gratifying.

Just saw Nine Inch Nails and it was incredible! The arena itself is pretty comfortable unless you are in the super high up seats in the 200s section. I hate those seats! It feels like you’re sitting with a slight slant forward and the first wrong move and you’re tumbling down. I saw Tool in those seats. While the view for a show like Tool is perfect up there - if you’re afraid of heights like me then I recommend the 100s sections or lower. I was in 110 tonight and it was comfortable (somewhat roomy) and the row in front of you is low enough that even a short person (me) can see without standing on their tippy toes. I’ve seen lots of shows there and lots of Sixers games. It’s a really nice arena. They have lots of good food and drink options and plenty of food/drink spots all over so the lines aren’t too bad. My only complaint is they didn’t let me bring my vape in. I’ve never had a problem before so I guess it’s a newer rule. There was no way I was throwing it away so I hid it in a giant flower pot on the sidewalk underneath pink and white petunias. I figured I at least had a chance to recover it if I hid it so I hoped for the best. To my surprise after the show.. there it was still tucked in the petunias. Brought my daughter here for a Billie Eilish concert and we were pleasantly surprised with the venue. Plenty of parking ($) and not a bad seat in the house. It was a bit hairy getting out of the parking lot, taking us about as long as the concert was but overall no complaints. Bathrooms were clean. The drinks were stiff and Billie is a GODDESS.

Not terrible, bathrooms were clean for the most part, weird pad dispenser in the bathroom to for females. The food cost way, I mean way to much 30 bucks almost for 3 tenders and some fries? And one drink. They were mediocre at best

Decent venue, great amount of parking, food was okay. Staff drags this from 5 stars to 4 I’ll say 2 staff members were great the rest were barely alive Getting in once the doors opened was not awful, it went at a decent pace

Nestled in the scenic Fairmount Park, The Mann Center stands out as a premier outdoor venue that beautifully blends nature with live entertainment. This versatile space features both covered seating and expansive lawn areas, making it perfect for summer concerts and performances. With a capacity of 14,000, it hosts an array of events from family-friendly film scores by The Philly POPS to lively jam band shows for adults.
The Mann is a great and historic venue. With the beautiful skyline of Philly in the backdrop. Simple minds 2025!! The VIP tent was also very cool I recommend getting a ticket for that. Plenty of free parking if you come early.

Great outdoor venue for concerts! Acoustics are amazing considering its outdoors! PARKING IS FREE! Nice setup for concessions and merchandise! Venue is cashless but you can exchange cash for credit cards in guest services. So we saw Joan Jett and Billy Idol! Joan was great, she loves her hometown! Billy was phenomenal! He connected with the audience, played lots of hits but some great new stuff too! One of the best shows we've seen!

The Mann is hands down one of the best places to see a show in Philly. The sound is amazing, the lights and video screens are top notch, and no matter where you sit, it feels like a great view. The staff really makes the experience even better — everyone is super polite, helpful, and just genuinely nice. The seats are comfortable too, which makes a huge difference when you’re enjoying a long concert. Overall, if you haven’t been to The Mann yet, you’re missing out. It’s one of the best venues around.

We went to go see Uncle Charlie's BBQue Tour 9/2025. The Mann is a classic venue within West Fairmount Park near The Plateau. Always great seats whether the Pit, Prime, or Main seating area. Plenty of free parking. They have good security & a few vendors on the premises but are expensive. You can't bring in outside food or alcohol drinks. Overall its a good outdoor experience.

I recently attended the Roots Picnic at the Mann Center, and it made me truly appreciate what a gem this venue is. The Mann has the perfect blend of natural beauty, thoughtful design, and great acoustics; it really elevated the whole experience. What stood out: The setting is gorgeous – Nestled in Fairmount Park with city skyline views in the distance, the Mann feels like a retreat in the middle of Philly. Whether you’re in the covered seats or out on the lawn, you still feel part of the action. Built for music lovers – The sound quality was consistently strong all weekend. Even with big crowds, everything felt well-organized, and performances came through crystal clear. Spacious and welcoming – There was plenty of room to move around, find shade, grab food, or just sit and soak in the atmosphere. It's a venue that knows how to host a crowd without feeling overwhelming. Overall: The Mann is hands-down one of Philly’s best venues for live music and large-scale events. Between the views, the sound, and the energy of the space, it’s the kind of place that makes a show feel special. The Roots Picnic was incredible, and the Mann played a huge part in making it so memorable.

Awesome show and the staff were great. Wish certain shows allowed lawn chairs in the back but with the space it’s understandable. Great vibes and views, we will definitely return.

Really enjoyed this venue and it’s ease of access. Aside from it taking a while to get out which is to be expected, I was able to park, get through gates and walk up to the front of a sold out show in like ten minutes. Sound was really good, didn’t get to experience all of the food choices and stuff but it was cool they were there. Hope to make it back!

Great venue to see a concert at. Whether you have seats or general admission lawn seats, you're in for a good time. Sound quality to me was fantastic! Could have just been Teddy Swims' magical voice, or they have a really great sound system.

Franklin Music Hall is a go-to for all types of music in Philadelphia. With its 3,000-person capacity, the venue attracts national high-profile acts like Wu Tang Clan and Citizen Cope. While the venue sometimes suffers from overcrowding, drink prices at the bar are fairly reasonable.
Awesome venue! Easy and safe parking. Nice 21+ section/balcony. Fairly priced food and drink. Saw the one and only marina, and she was incredible! Also saw and loved the artist mallrat who opened for Marina.

Kind of a dump, but it books great music, and there is ample parking around the venue (for a price). Great sound, but you can’t get to the balcony unless you pay for the preferred seating. If you buy the basic tickets, plan on arriving early to find a good part of the wall to lean on for the next few hours.
Sam G — Google review
We’ve seen a few shows at Franklin Music Hall over the years, the last one being in 2019 for a sold out Menzingers show. The sound was terrible and security was awful, so we swore we’d never come back. Fast forward to this weekend when some of our favorite bands, The Story So Far, Neck Deep, and Origami Angel, were playing an outdoor show. We figured, how bad could it be outside? Turns out, pretty bad. When we walked through security, the scanner turned red for both me and my husband, and security just waved us right through without checking anything. We knew it was the phones we had in our hands. Though, who would know if it was a weapon? Not exactly comforting. We got to the lot where the show was and were instantly unimpressed. The sound for the opener, Pain of Truth, was pretty quiet. We assumed it was just an opener thing, but the sound was terrible the whole night. You could hear people talking over the music, and it was hard to even understand the artist’s banter between songs. During Origami Angel the crowd started a “We can’t hear you” chant, which was probably the loudest thing I heard all night. It was reported that more than 20 people had their phones stolen during the show, once again proving how terrible security is. Overall, really disappointing. We won’t be back. For real this time. But congrats to the couple who got engaged and this guys hat was fun.

Get there early to access the parking lot. Lots of space to park but even better if you get there early. Great venue. Light food to buy inside venue. Clean bathrooms. Great view from pretty much anywhere inside the venue!

Unorganized venue.. , where the line starts to wait to get in is confusing and they were late with it. When asked for water at the barricade because there was moshing and everyone was squished and hot. We were denied by their security and told we had to go all the way in the back and get some from the bar.. how is that possible when we are all squished?!. Photography people started handing out their waters because ppl were passing out!!!. Why are they doing security’s job?!???This hall has the worst security possible and slow minded security. Make em do some general knowledge questions before they get their job because obviously they don’t know nothing!!! Slow… smh. They don’t care about their guests and customers. If it wasn’t for the goated photographers. More of us would’ve passed out. This hall needs to be more prepared for the people they bring in their and need to pay attention to what artist they bring in and their audience. I never wanna come to this hall again and I’ve had my fair share of mosh pits , GA and concerts. Never experienced anything like this. Horrible!!! Lady at the front desk was nice tho :) shout out to the photographers at lil Teccas show. On 9/26/25

Interior has a nice vibe and great sound. There is plenty of standing space on the main floor for a smaller venue, and there are stools on the second floor by the bar so you can sit down (which still provide a good view of the stage). Fair warning, the drinks are a little pricey. I normally wouldn't dock a star for that when the space is otherwise very good, but they didn't show the prices on the menus which felt a little disingenuous.

Fabrika is an establishment in Fishtown that features cabaret performers, contortionists, jugglers and saxophone players. The space also includes two bars and a hydraulic stage, making it perfect for hosting events. The restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on quality and freshness. Sunday Drag brunch is popular among regulars due to the high-quality entertainment offered as well as the reasonable price tags.
Super cool venue!! Decor is Industrial Chic perfection! Food and drinks were excellent, service was on point- very friendly and attentive. Entertainers were PHENOMENAL!!! This would be an awesome venue for a NYE party, a boudoir photo shoot or even a wedding!! I love how they have a second floor wrap-around balcony overlooking the stage- so cool!!!

Get ready to have a wonderful time. Fabrika hosts drag brunches, burlesque shows, wrestling events, and dance parties. The party seemingly never stops here. The décor is unique and a lot of fun. The use of lights and smoke sets the tone of the show and isn’t used excessively. The staff is superb. They are all very attentive and friendly. Everyone from the greeters to the waitstaff to security are professional and top-notch. The venue uses a digital menu (QR code at the table) that also serves as the payment portal. The food is made well and the drinks are great. Definitely get your order in ASAP, especially at brunches. Every show is fantastic. The entertainment you get is always at the highest level. The crowd is always cheering or singing along or just having a great time in general. I’ve seen bridal showers, anniversaries, birthdays, and everything in between being celebrated. There are two floors with different seating options, such as tables, couches, or standing. Depending on the event, you may want to arrive early for the best seating (or secure a VIP spot, if available). Fabrika has its own paid parking lot, as well as street parking. It’s not terribly difficult to find parking around the venue, although you may end up parking further than you thought you would. The paid lot uses a web portal that is super quick and easy to navigate. Keep your eyes on Fabrika for a fun, delightful time.
Mappening R — Google review
I’d been wanting to see a burlesque show for a while, so when we found Fabrika in PA—with tons of 5-star reviews for food and entertainment—we booked the front-row sofa experience. I was excited, expecting a fun and memorable night. The venue itself was cool at first glance—industrial with velvet sofas and chandeliers giving it a unique vibe. The stage, however, was surprisingly tiny, about the size of a banquet table. Still, I was eager to see how the night would unfold. Unfortunately, things started going downhill quickly. Service was extremely slow. We arrived at 6pm for a 7pm show, when the place was practically empty, yet it took forever for our waitress to even acknowledge us. We eventually had to ask another server to send her over. Because of the wait, we ordered drinks two at a time just to avoid being left hanging. The burrata salad appetizer was good, but that’s hard to mess up. Then the roof started leaking—right on us and our table. And this was the most off-putting part of the entire night. Not one person came to apologize or offer to move us, comp something, or even acknowledge the issue. Our waitress simply pushed our table and sofa back a little and said, “Here you go,” while a bucket sat on stage catching the water. It felt like we weren’t valued as guests at all. Dinner came out surprisingly fast—faster than we could get a drink—which made the pacing feel rushed and disjointed. DO NOT ORDER THE GNOCCHI. I'm not sure what it was but it tasted like an instant onion soup in a package that they added hot water and dropped some big frozen gnoochi in and sprinkle parley on top to make it look fancy. We also had the branzino, too and that was so dry. As for the show, it was a mixed bag. A couple of acts were impressive and athletic, but others fell flat. The inconsistency in performances mirrored the overall experience: promising on the surface, but lacking in follow-through. Overall, what could have been a really fun night ended up being disappointing. Between the poor service, roof leak with zero apology, and uneven entertainment, I don’t see us returning. Fabrika has the potential to be great, but they need to step up food quality, service, and hospitality if they want to match the price tag and expectations.

I came to Fabrika 10/10 to celebrate my 41st birthday and they did not disappoint!! Everything was AMAZING!! I even won free tix to come back. The host was fun. The drinks were great. Food was bomb. The performances OMG!! I seen the Cirq show and if you haven’t seen it… babyyy it’s a must see! Also reserve a couch. Best seats in the whole place. The selfie room is very cutesy! Everything was such a vibe! Definitely returning. Only downside is parking.

I had a reservation for their Bridgerton Brunch. When I walked in I was greeted with a beautiful smile and a complimentary glass of champagne. The venue is beautiful and the wait staff is attentive, kind, and very knowledgeable about their drinks and food. I would have been pleasantly happy with just that but the show that came after was AMAZING. Each performer shows true dedication to their craft and were so entertaining. I can't wait to book the next one!

The show was great, but the food and drinks were terrible. Portions were tiny and way overpriced. My girlfriend had to send her drink back, and the mango shrimp came out cold—and not even deveined. The wings and fries looked like a kids’ meal, not something worth a $200 bill. Please upgrade your menu; the entertainment deserves better food.

The First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia, a Unitarian Universalist congregation situated on Chestnut Street, is not only a place of worship but also serves as a regional Community Center hosting various activities. The church building, completed in 1886, boasts an impressive history and features beautiful paintings and stained glass windows. While the space may seem minimal inside, it comes alive during events such as concerts. The venue's basement hosts shows and provides an intimate setting for performances.
I just went to my first concert here in the sanctuary. I definitely will be back. It was an awesome experience.

Great little place! The venue outside was a nice-looking church with messages on it of peace and blm. The showroom was small, tight, and rather hot. They did attempt some ac by way of ceiling fans and a larger fan blowing cold air from somewhere else next to stage right, so there was that. The bands were awesome and the crowd was very active. The crowd nearly filled the room completely! I would recommend going to this venue at least once. My only issue is that some of the equipment from the stage is very old and a little dirty, and there are no bathrooms either.
Willi P — Google review
Rating the basement venue where concerts are held. I wish I could like this venue bc it seems to be iconic for punk shows, but this is my least favorite venue. No show lighting and no air conditioning. We were all sweating and breathing is uncomfortable. Weak ceiling fans and one is completely broken. The sound cut out multiple times during the show. There's also no bar obviously, but that's okay—it is nice that the venue is BYOB. Bathrooms are well kept. Parking is difficult if you're figuring it out for the first time. I recommend the lot on the corner of Market and S 22nd (entrance on Market). It would be nice if the church could include info about parking on their website for events other than for exclusive church goers

I used to avoid this place like the plague because of the really really bad reputation it had for violence at hardcore shows. The Met Philadelphia is a restored grand concert hall that has been used for comedy shows, theatrical performances, and touring acts. It's ideally situated in the heart of Philly and is set to welcome some big-name performers this year.
Had a wonderful experience with the Bare Naked Ladies Last Summer on Earth tour with Sugar Ray and Fastball. They all did a fantastic tribute to Ozzy Osborne who had passed earlier that day. Beautiful historic building with tons of ornate details that you’ll enjoy. The side street was blocked off pre concert with food and drink vending trucks available. People were screened prior to the vending truck area and entry to the event. Place was well staffed and had multiple places to purchase drinks. I recommend going to the second level for the bar at some point to view the stage and enjoy a drink. Sound system was great for the concert. Seating was comfortable and in good condition. Glad to finally get inside this historic building and check out the well done renovation. Definitely worth checking out!

If you're sitting at orchestra 5 section don't sit in seats one or two you won't be able to see because of big pole in the way. Also on that side by doors 3, 4, 5 is the men's bathroom. The women's bathroom is all the way to the opposite side of the building on the left near doors one and two. Nice venue. Very cool and historic. Had a great time

Incredible building that lay dormant for several decades. Acoustics are fantastic, the building sits on North Broad Street, several blocks north of Center City. Parking is not great, but you can make it work with Uber or the subway etc. The bar and the bathrooms are good. An iconic venue that’s been around since 1908 when it was built as an Opera house by Oscar Hammerstein I in a Beaux Arts architectural style. Reopened in 2018 after a major refurbishment with a show by Bob Dylan. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ——————————————————————————————————

No hassle or wait to get in, loved the venue! Anywhere we could have been seated would have been amazing, was fortunate enough to snag front. Great selection of drinks even had the outside alley roped off to hang out before the show. Will come back for more and more concerts!

I visited the theater to watch WWE NXT. I was a bit worried because the theater looked big from the outside, but once inside, it was great that the stage was visible from every seat. I sat in the first row on the third floor, and the stage was clearly visible, which was nice. However, having to climb sloped stairs to get to the third floor since there was no elevator was a bit inconvenient. The lack of sufficient parking facilities nearby and the parking fee being almost $50 were also disappointing.
Jungwook C — Google review
My favorite music venue in Philadelphia proper! The acoustics are awesome, the staff are helpful and kind, and they keep people moving smoothly through merch and bar lines. I'm always happy to see any band I like perform here. If you haven't been, you're missing out! These pics are from My Morning Jacket on 10/11/25.

Not sure why they allow the sound guys to set up measuring equipment which blocks the view.. they should only set up sound meters and so forth in front of the columns. And, please, out some smart concierges in the front of the joint to direct people to the side bars. Every time we visit there's a 20 minute line at the front bars.. when, all you have to do is go to your seat, then go to one of the no line side bars and get a drink in one minute.

Used to be a great organization that supported the culture. Now, it has changed for the worst and the administrators seem more interested in getting clout than supporting students and continuing this black art form. It would not be surprising if the Clef is taken over by them folks soon. Unfortunately, thats the path its on. The days of the old Clef Club are sorely missed.

EXCELLENT (but underutilized) Jazz venue. Bar is expensive ($14 for a Jameson.) Bar is also understaffed with two young ladies running ragged serving the bar itself and acting as a "service" bar. With some proper management, it could be a world class Jazz venue.

The Dolphin Tavern is a trendy club with a retro atmosphere that offers craft beer, neon-lit walls, go-go dancers, and live DJs spinning various music genres. This iconic venue has been a staple in Philadelphia's live music scene since its revamp in 2013. From Noughties-era rap parties to eclectic Open for Business events featuring hip-hop and disco, the Dolphin Tavern hosts top DJs on most Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Amazing, queer vibes, great people, and a wonderful time. They have themed nights and awesome DJs. There is actually quite a bit of room on the dance floor and there are tables near the front if you want to sit down. Such a great time here!

Divy club that does small shows. I think my main gripe is the restrooms are in the back of the place, so when the dance floor is packed you have to push your way back there, it's a bad design. No real drink specials and cheap local beers are way over priced, $8 for Yards Pale Ale?? $9 for Troegs Ipa? Best to pregame before coming.

Music is ok but stupid people decide to be stupid without thought and steal jackets that's not theirs. I had my jacket on top of my wife's and someone still owned it and left with it. I'm sorry but the music is not worth losing a jacket. They need a coat check even if it costs a few dollars. I will not be going back unless I'm sweating with my own jacket on I'll refuse to take off. I checked every jacket that was there and none was mine/ worth copping someone else's/didn't fit me. People in the building were lucky I didn't pick one that didn't fit me in spite. They really need a coat check and honestly I won't ever go back unless the venue pays me $80 for my coat. Beware!

Great divey queer dance bar. Service is fast, great variety of drinks, free coat check, and awesome dance floor. Always a fun time.

If a place is going to charge a cover, the least they should do is have air conditioning. It was cooler outside than it was inside on an 85-degree night. Dance floor was nice at least, but the sign is quite misleading to anyone on the street as billiards are nonexistent and this is not a tavern.
Savannah P — Google review
Stopped by for the 90s rave. Had a great time! Music was fun, place was comfortably full, staff was ok. Crowd was fun too. Tip: There is a coat closet here but there's no attendee. So it's available but not secure.

Went to Lady gaga dance night. It was so freaking hot inside! No air conditioning in the venue in this hot weather. For a $20 door cover, the least you could is put the air conditioning on when it's a room of crowded people! Had to leave an hour into it cause you can't breathe 🫠otherwise is a fun time.
Heres J — Google review
First of this place does NOT have go-go dancers—that google description is from years ago before they changed ownership and that's not the point of the place anymore. BUT what the place does now is awesome! It really is halfway between a dive bar and a club. I've been here for both dance music nights and occasional concerts and it's a great space for both. The lights on the walls are classic. Fairly inexpensive and drinks are surprisingly good. One my favorite spots in town.

The Barnes Foundation is a treasure trove of art and culture, featuring an extensive collection of impressionist, post-impressionist, and early modern art. Visitors can admire works by renowned artists such as Picasso, Renoir, Cezanne, and Matisse alongside African sculptures, Native American textiles, metalwork, Grecian urns, and other eclectic antiquities.
I recently visited the Barnes Foundation and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional experience, particularly its educational approach, stunning architecture, and carefully curated collection. The Foundation’s commitment to education is evident in every aspect of the visit. The exhibition descriptors are clear, insightful, and engaging, providing just the right amount of context to deepen appreciation without overwhelming. The guide we had was knowledgeable and passionate, weaving stories about the artworks that brought them to life in a way that felt accessible to all. The website, too, is a fantastic resource - well-organized and packed with detailed information that enhanced our understanding before and after the visit. This thoughtful approach made the art feel approachable and meaningful, regardless of one’s background. The architecture of the Barnes Foundation is equally inspiring. The building’s materiality - its use of natural stone (I read it was sourced and textured from Israel), warm wood, and soft lighting - creates a serene and inviting atmosphere that complements the art perfectly. The tranquil landscape design, with its lush greenery and peaceful outdoor spaces, adds a calming dimension, making the entire experience feel like a retreat. It’s a space that encourages reflection and connection with the art. While the collection is relatively small, every piece is a gem, carefully curated to showcase astounding uniqueness and beauty. From vibrant impressionist works to striking modernist pieces, each artwork feels intentional and impactful, making the collection feel rich despite its size. The Barnes Foundation strikes a perfect balance of education, inspiration, and curation, making it a must-visit for anyone who loves art. I left feeling enriched and eager to return.

This is a wonderful hidden gem. Most people tend to visit the famous art museum, and they pass by this amazing museum on their way, but don't pay it attention. I must have passed it myself a hundred times, maybe more. But not on this day. We arrived and were surprised even before entering the building. The most amazing evergreens, s beautiful pond, very serene. Inside, tons of Monet, Renoir, Picasso. Works of amazing, famous artists within an arms reach. Very powerful. We will definitely return, perhaps even make it an annual event.

Wonderful art collection - never seen so many Renoir and Cezanne paintings in one gallery before, except in special exhibitions. Also really liked the architecture of the gallery itself. I took a paid tour of the current special Rousseau exhibition and the docent (Wendy?) was fantastic - so much knowledge and shared in a great storytelling way.
Zosia T — Google review
A beautiful building that contains rooms with art from an amateur collector. Mostly European art that is hung precisely how the owner of the art intended to hang This museum can become very busy so be mindful of buying your ticket. The restaurant has a beautiful garden but the menu was a bit lacking in interesting food items.

We loved our visit to the Barnes! Due to the size/scope of the collection, and how it is displayed, I highly recommend the Private Collection Tour with a docent to guide your experience. Our docent guide was amazing, super knowledgeable, and made sure we saw all of the pieces that we were most excited about (the Renoirs) during our tour. The collection is obviously incredible, but hearing the back story behind certain acquisitions, Mr. Barnes himself, and the relocation to the Parkway, was invaluable. If you're going to visit the collection, I strongly encourage upgrading to the Private Tour, and don't forget to stop by the gift shop downstairs on your way out! They have some great stuff!!

If you love the Impressionists, THIS is where you must go. The collection is just mind-bending and achingly beautiful. I’m no art expert, but found it really moving. We spent several hours here, but if you really know art, I’m sure you could spend a day. It’s across the street from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, so hit them both.
Mark E — Google review
Unique museum with an eclectic collection and unusual displays. Lots of Cezanne, some Van Goghs, Renoirs. Also midieval, African, and some Asian ceramics. Photos are allowed but they have an app that will email you images of the artwork you scan using the app. Not every piece of art is scannable yet though. The staff are friendly and helpful. Well worth the visit.

Bar
The Victor Café, located in South Philadelphia, is a renowned spot that offers classic Italian cuisine accompanied by live opera performances. Originally established as DiStefano's Gramophone Shop in 1918, the café has a rich history deeply rooted in classical music and opera. The founder's close relationship with RCA Victor led to the provision of recordings and live performances for patrons who could enjoy their coffee and spumoni while listening to music.
Wow, Wow, Wow! First time at The Victor Cafe. Walked in and we were immediately seated at our stated reservation time. A table for two in a great location. Our server asked us if we had ever been to the Victor Cafe and neither of us had ever been there. She then explained that all of the employees are classically trained singers and that periodically throughout the evening they would perform. I would say that every 20-30 minutes they performed a song from an opera. It was amazing ... so amazing! At the same time, there was food. We split arincini and a beet salad before our main course, and both were delicious. For my entree, I selected one of the specials for the night, Veal Parmigiana, and my partner chose Fruti di Marni. It was a lot of food. My veal was wonderful, and my partners Fruti di Marni was more seafood than pasta. The Victor Cafe is one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I have had ... I absolutely loved it!!!

This is our first time to Philadelphia and we are big Stallone/Rocky fans so we were excited to try this restaurant where some of Rocky Balboa and Creed was filmed. This was one of the best dining experiences with phenomenal entrees, excellent staff, beautiful atmosphere and amazing entertainment with the wait staff breaking into operatic song!! Our server Brenton was AMAZING! 10/10 recommend!!

My first time at The Victor Cafe and it was so nice. We went on a Wednesday night with an early dinner reservation. We had cocktails upstairs and I was in awe of the place. Beautifully decorated with a vintage setting and pictures everywhere. My margarita was perfect and so was my husband’s cocktail. Renee was our server and she was so courteous and knowledgeable and I have to say has an incredible singing voice. We had dinner downstairs which consisted of clams casino, a beet salad, a chicken dinner and a pork chop dinner. We were given a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Truly a memorable dinner and I look forward to a return visit.

This will be one of your best dinning experiences. From the atmosphere, the great food, and phenomenal service. Every server is a career opera singer. I cant say enough, but just to tell you this is a must come to place.

Family bday dinner exceeded expectations. Was very impressed with the performances by the wait staff, alongside the tasty food and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend Victor Café for a one-of-a-kind dining experience 💯

My friend booked this restaurant and he said it was really good but didn’t tell me to be ready for such an amazing dinner we had. Staffs were very nice, in special Yanellie. The staffs sing every 30 minutes and that was the cherry of the ice cream 🤌🏻🤌🏻. The food was delicious and the creamy polenta. I super recommend this place.

Food was delicious and the atmosphere fabulous. What's more, besides being super friendly, the waitstaff all have FANTASTIC voices! A lovely experience and I can't wait to return.

If the food and drink don't wow you (hint: they will), the singing servers most certainly will. A thrilling experience all around! Cocktails were served to perfection and apps, main dishes were reasonably proportioned.. all enjoyed while appreciating high quality operatic performances from the staff. Well worth the visit!

Lincoln Financial Field is an outdoor football stadium in Philadelphia, home to the Philadelphia Eagles. With a seating capacity of over 67,000, it's the perfect place to catch the Eagles in action. The stadium offers a variety of food and drink options for visitors to enjoy during games. Additionally, private tours are available for fans who want to explore areas like the field, locker rooms, team tunnel, and interview rooms.
Visiting Lincoln Financial Field to see the Philadelphia Eagles play was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I could feel the excitement in the air and the energy of the fans—it’s something you can only appreciate in person. The stadium itself is absolutely impressive: modern, well-designed, and incredibly clean for a venue of its size. You can tell the staff takes pride in maintaining it, and it really makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. The service throughout the stadium was excellent. Everyone I interacted with—from ticketing and security to concession workers—was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. It’s clear they want every fan to have a great time, and it really shows in the way they handle everything so smoothly. The food and concession options were also top-notch. Whether you’re in the mood for classic stadium favorites like cheesesteaks, pretzels, and fries, or looking to try something different, there’s plenty to choose from. The lines moved quickly, the portions were solid, and the quality of the food was better than I expected it really elevated the game day experience. But of course, the highlight was watching the Eagles play live in such an electric atmosphere. The energy from the crowd, the chants, the cheers, and the passion of Eagles fans is unlike anything else. Seeing the team in person, surrounded by thousands of fans all living and breathing the game, was absolutely incredible. Overall, Lincoln Financial Field is a first-class stadium that delivers on every level with great service, clean facilities, plenty of food options, and an atmosphere that makes game day unforgettable. I highly recommend making the trip if you ever get the chance. Experiencing an Eagles game at “The Linc” is something every football fan should do at least once!

Unforgettable Game Day! My experience at Lincoln Financial Field was absolutely top-notch from start to finish. The atmosphere in the stadium was electric, making the game itself an incredible spectacle. But what really pushed the experience over the top was the food and the service. Our server was incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick, making us feel right at home. The food was fantastic as well—way better than your average stadium fare. Everything was fresh and delicious. If you're looking for a great place to catch a game with amazing service, this is it. Five stars all the way!
Orlando J — Google review
As a diehard Eagles fan from Texas, I always love coming up to Philly to watch my favorite team play. The atmosphere is absolutely electric — from the tailgate to the scenes before kickoff, you can feel the passion everywhere. I usually stay in Center City, and the energy throughout the city is incredible. I was lucky enough to be at the 2025 season opener against the Dallas Cowboys, and it was an unforgettable experience. Between the food, the vibe, the history, and the unmatched sports passion, it’s always a pleasure visiting Philadelphia. Can’t wait for many more games!
Chris R — Google review
A vast venue with decently priced food trucks that don't hit your wallet hard. I definitely recommend eating at one of them. I paid $10 for a double cheeseburger and $5 for fries. Inside the stadium it wouldve been close to double that. Plenty of restrooms and eateries inside the stadium as well. Staff was helpful during my visit.

How could you not love this place! Great stadium! Good views from any angle! The crowd. Is always nuts here! A lot of steps depending where you enter. Parking is always a nightmare on game days and events! Food and drinks are ok, but pricey like most stadiums. Went to Eagles open practice with my daughter and granddaughters. Had a great time out! Love games here!

Wow! The Philadelphia Eagles. It doesn't get much better than that. Eagles verses Cincinnati Bengals. Another wonderful Thursday date night, in the books. Lincoln Financial Field is awesome, good traffic flow and great service at the hot dog stand. If you're a Philadelphia fan as I am, try to get here. It's incredible.

Who doesn't love the linc, only reason I give it 4 stars. Is because the parking is absolutely insane priced. But if I were is rating tailgating, we will be number one. Wait, until you see the pictures? Nothing but good fun. We walked a total a little over 5 miles throughout the parking lots. Checking out the various foods and grills, RV set ups , live music games and this was 4 hours before kick off. We do it. Big here and Philadelphia. Some people showed up the night before. Some people showed up at 3 AM many families many businesses. Nothing but good times and people are very nice despite of the past reputation, people are very generous here. Also they were giving us food to try and gave us bottles of water. We were a little bit unprepared, but that’s OK. They had a Dunkin’ Donuts truck that was giving out free samples and five dollar gift cards. how cool was that? We also got to visit the Lombardi trophy. Hope it stays here this year. Our team looks really good if you’re visiting Philadelphia and there was a game going on feel free to come down and enjoy the fun it’s always welcoming. Here parking is challenging and you have to be mindful of where you park. If there is a sign most likely you will get a ticket or could possibly be towed. You can pay for parking anywhere from $20-$40 and up. My son happens to live close by about a mile away, so we parked there and got great exercise on our way to the tailgating. I would love to see other people‘s tailgating. I’m sure they’re great.

Lincoln Financial Field is a spacious and well-organized venue suitable for both football and soccer events. The seating arrangement ensures that every seat offers a great view of the field. However, food and beverage prices can be quite high, with a can of alcohol costing $22. Convenient parking is available nearby for $30 per vehicle. Overall, entering and exiting the stadium is a smooth process, and security measures are thorough.

The venue has hosted a variety of concerts and events over the years and provides breathtaking views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and Philadelphia skyline.
Loved this place! The only drawback was that there was no re-entry! The lawn area is stadium style. They offer rental chairs and have blankets for sale at a reasonable price. We came for the MMRBQ and had a blast! The bathrooms are exceptional- clean, spacious and plentiful! The food was decent. Just about everything was $20-burgers, chicken strips, loaded nachos etc. Definitely would come back again!

Great arena, seats were decently comfortable and there doesn't seem to be a bad seat. I think sitting on the lawn would drive me nuts, but the people out there during the Creed show didn't seem to mind at all! The drinks are super expensive and not worth the price.

This is easily one of my favorite venues in the region. My brother and I make it out to between three and seven shows here every year, and it never disappoints. The staff is always friendly, the bathrooms are impressively clean, and the pretzels are absolutely delicious. If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend grabbing lawn passes—the experience is fantastic. No matter what the name on the sign is, this will always be a place I keep coming back to year after year.

Love seeing any type of concert here! Such a fun and great atmosphere. The lawn is always the best part. Enough room for a big group. Drinks and food venders always close. Little pricey for drinks but overall great experience.
Hailey G — Google review
Just saw Hozier here and it's my new favorite venue. They have a dedicated entrance to the pit. Easy entrance to seats and two different entrances to lawn at least. The inside area to buy food, drinks and use the restroom is air conditioned. Incredible staff. I like this place better than the Mann!! Parking is expensive so plan for that! Overall, great venue!
Laurie T — Google review
I've seen a handful of concerts here over the years and never had a bad experience yet. It's a large concert venue so expect to pay out the butt for everything. When the weather is nice the fact that the rear of the venue is open to the grass is really nice. That's also where you can get tickets really cheap.
Don M — Google review
Went for a Jonas Brothers concert the other day and it was definitely busier than I've EVER seen it. Food is pretty good, drinks are great (everything is very expensive but it's to be expected in a venue with no reentry. They have a TON of bars at the top of the lawn so you don't necessarily have to leave the lawn to get a drink. Bathroom lines can get a little long (there are a lot of stalls so it moves fast) but if you run to pee during a set, you might not have to wait too long. Floor was pretty wet in the stall of the women's room halfway through the show, and a lot of the soap dispensers weren't working. Getting out can take a minute with the crowds too. Traffic was really bad getting into a lot about a 10-minute walk away, but you can walk with the crowd (it's in a really horrible neighborhood of Camden!! Be careful!). Parking was $30 there, and we saw a $40 lot closer to the actual gates. Get there early to beat the traffic! We almost missed the opener! Clear backpacks (12x12x6) are allowed in and you can bring a small blanket to sit on if you have lawn seats (site says 5'x3' but I saw people with much larger blankets) and you can also rent lawn chairs too. Lawn seats are usually pretty cheap!
Julia U — Google review
I've been coming to the waterfront since it was put in, however many years ago. It's a fantastic indoor/outdoor venue with seating under a pavilion if you prefer that and a giant hill outside where you can watch your concert as well. Prices of consumables are high as to be expected, but to be fair they allow a sealed water bottle to be taken in and they have refill stations free! As of August 2025 you can bring a small clear bag, hand bag etc, with you through security as well, which is fair as well so ladies just get a clear purse or whatever and you can bring in your necessities as you see fit. We saw she l AJR this last time and it was really good, even from the lawn, the screens were plenty big and you could even see the stage fairly well. We lucked out it was an absolutely gorgeous evening, but even if it rains, we saw Mumford and Sons a few years ago and they came back on after the rain, after doing half a set and for everyone who stayed they did an additional complete set!! You never know what will happen with an outside venue as this. Great job!!

The ambiance is elevated with high ceilings and an airy space, making it suitable for various occasions such as lazy brunches, intimate dinners, live music nights, or even as a stop on your late-night bar crawl.
We had dinner at the Plough. It was fantastic. We were met by our witty host with a heavy Irish accent who seated us. Eva was our wait person. She was attentive, friendly, and always available. We had the Ribeye Pork and the Guinness Casserole. They were outstanding meals. Cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was local and genuine. Prices were reasonable. Go and enjoy the Plough.

Everything is wonderful here!

The atmosphere at the Plough & the Stars was vibrant and cheerful. The live Irish music filled the space. Our waiter was attentive and courteous. I ordered the Fish & Chips. The fries were overcooked, and I didn't eat them. However, the fish and the homemade tartar sauce were very good. Oh, but the best thing was dessert. The Toffee Apple Bread Puddin's a la Mode, a fancy name for an apple pudding lol, was incredibly delicious!! In fact, it was so perfectly done that I'll go back just to eat that pudding again! 😋🍎🥧

What an amazing find! Really great food and ambiance. Not a topical Irish bar that is dark and food kind of ok but greasy. We loved the appetizer lamb lollipops and Brussels sprouts and fish and chips and steak Fritz! Lived the cocktail seasonal offers and the fact that the owner was walking around and checking on everyone. And the fire place is a huge plus! Will definitely go back!

We hosted a wonderful celebration at The Plough & The Stars for about 50 people recently. We utilized the top floor mezzanine area. We had a private bar and butlered hors d'oeuvres. We worked with Marion to prepare for the party.. very friendly and easy to deal with. We were able to use the big screen to show a slideshow of the guest of honor. The staff at the Plough & The Stars who serviced our party were fabulous. Patrick, our bartender, kept the drinks flowing and Rebecca did a wonderful job with service. KatieLynne, the manager, kept checking in to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. We hope to book another event with the Plough & Stars in the near future!

The chicken fried steak was amazing. It's mostly due to the rich and delicious country style gravy. The meatloaf was also fantastic, but the chicken fried steak was a little better. Couldn't go wrong with either. I wish we were around to try a few other plates on their menu. Service was friendly and prompt.

Silk City in Philadelphia is a unique blend of a retro diner, beer garden, and nightclub. The renovated diner offers classic comfort food like fried chicken and meatloaf, while the outdoor beer garden provides a vibrant atmosphere with cheap drinks and a packed dance floor. The nightclub area features neon lighting, black-and-white tile floors, and disco-ball chandeliers where DJs spin popular music on Saturday nights.
Love this place. The food is fantastic, the drinks dangerously delicious, and the staff is wonderful. I cannot recommend it enough. The chicken and waffles is like a northern take on southern chicken and waffles, and executed very well. The short rib grilled cheese is killer, and the jalapeño cornbread with honey on the side is yummy! I wish the cornbread had more jalapeño in it, but I’m a spicy food lover so that might not be everyone else’s take. The apple pie was soooo freaking good too! In terms of seating and noise, the seats weren’t the most comfortable thing in the world if you’re sensitive to that, and it does get a little noisy, so be aware if you’re hard of hearing. We had a fantastic time, and I hope to come again soon to try out more dishes!

Imagine a 1950’s diner that merges with a covered beer garden, where each sections serves great drinks, comfort food (love the fried chicken), and Asian inspired dishes. That’s Silk City. The staff is efficient, friendly and they knowledgable. Trust the recommendations. The decor ranges from deco to funk, and artistic ironwork adorns the garden windows. The dinning environment is comfortable and clean, with a great sound track and lively but not obnoxious convo.

This place was beautiful to walk into. Sitting down to eat made me feel like I was not even in the city anymore. The service was great, it was very busy but our server was still very attentive. I had driven past this place a hundred times and it always looked so cool. I was intrigued and curious for years. Finally, last night on a Saturday I went and checked it out. My GF and I sat at the bar and had small plates. The Mexican elote Street Corn was freaking awesome, the Plantains were great and we both loved the Jalapeño Cornbread with honeybutter. Restaurant
Suraya Restaurant is a chic and spacious Lebanese cafe, market, and restaurant with a bar and an outdoor garden. It offers all-day Lebanese fare designed for sampling and sharing. The menu includes modern takes on traditional family Lebanese recipes, featuring dishes like pita, baba ganoush, fried kibbeh, roasted lamb, grilled branzino, and various desserts. Tasting menus are available to feed two or four people at set prices.
Suraya absolutely exceeded our expectations on every level. The mezze selection was incredible - we couldn’t get enough of the dips, particularly the eggplant dishes which were perfectly seasoned and had amazing texture. The halabi kebab was a standout, cooked to perfection with wonderful spice balance. The bronzino was fresh and beautifully prepared, and don’t even get me started on the desserts! The knafeh was absolutely divine - crispy, sweet, and the perfect end to an amazing meal. But the food is only part of what makes Suraya so special. The open kitchen creates such a dynamic energy - you can watch the skilled chefs at work, which adds to the whole experience. And that giant back garden seating area is absolutely magical! The outdoor space has such a unique, vibrant atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve been transported somewhere exotic. The vibe throughout the entire restaurant is just incredible - from the bustling open kitchen to the lush garden, every corner has character and charm. This is more than just a meal; it’s a complete sensory experience. We’ll definitely be back to work our way through more of the menu and soak up that amazing atmosphere again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-tier Middle Eastern cuisine and an unforgettable dining experience in Philadelphia

Excellent customer service and friendly staff. We felt very welcomed. The ambiance is gorgeous, modern nature inspired. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. We loved the outside garden with rhe sounds of nature in the background. Everything was just done beautifully. The serve was outstanding! Very attentive and patient staff. The food hit another mark! Delicious, flavorful, and good portion sizes. The fried cauliflower was my favorite. It had so much flavor and crispiness. I was so tempted to order another. The cherry tart was delicious, a very nice balance of svory and sweet. Definitely recommend making reservations. Parking on the street is scarce.

I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary, and I have to say it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Our server Hannah was amazing and made us feel genuinely taken care of. In addition to the fantastic service, the food was to die for. I highly recommend the tasting menu. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, making it a great way to experience everything the restaurant has to offer. Definitely will be coming back!

Top tier! Everything from the ambience to the service and food was truly great ◡̈ fave bites were the raw yellowtail app and the branzino entree. Both were impressively well-balanced in terms of flavor and texture! Also, the lover & lover espresso martini with cardamom foam is hands down the best drink I’ve ever had. Only thing I would change is having the kanafeh as dessert. It felt quite heavy, and we thought the salty cheese made it feel less like the sweet treat we were looking forward to having as the finish to our meal. Would 10000% go back!

We tried the tasting menu at Suraya on a Saturday evening, and it was absolutely outstanding! Every course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented , a true culinary journey through vibrant Beirut/Lebanon flavors. The portions were generous, and each dish complemented the next perfectly. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made delicious recommendations throughout the meal. Suraya is the perfect spot for an exceptional dining experience

We had an amazing dining experience at Suraya in Philadelphia. The restaurant has a beautiful garden that creates a relaxing and elegant atmosphere, perfect for enjoying Middle Eastern flavors in style. We started with the Taste of Suraya for the table, which included muhammara, baba ghanoush, hummus, tabouli, and labneh served with warm pita. The baba ghanoush was my favorite with its smoky and rich flavor. The tabouli was fresh and bright, although I have enjoyed better versions elsewhere. For appetizers we had fattah and shish barak. The fattah was absolutely delicious, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The shish barak was good, but I did not feel it was worth the extra ten dollars. For the main course we ordered djej meshwi and kawarma, both bursting with flavor. I especially loved the kawarma with its perfectly seasoned marination. The djej meshwi was also excellent, and the touch of sumac really enhanced its taste. For dessert we enjoyed the pistachio tart and the verrine, both of which were delightful and a great way to end the meal. We also tried Arak MASSAYA, which reminded me of Aragh from Iranian culture. It was as strong as Aragh, but even more flavorful, and I loved how its clear color turned milky white when mixed with water. Overall, Suraya offers a fine-dining experience with excellent food, beautiful presentation, and warm service. The quality and atmosphere make it worth the price, and our meal for two cost a little over $100, which felt reasonable for such an exceptional evening. Highly recommended.

Overall this place is a solid middle eastern restaurant. Food was “good” and the service was exceptional. The choices in the preset menu provides us abundant choices. We had a great time with the staff being very attentive. However, we did have an issue with our table and its location as we were situated right by the door with patrons and especially staff constantly going in and out to the patio area on a cold night. I do not recommend using this table during colder months/days. We also felt pretty cramped on a small table for a party of 8.

Went for their brunch tasting menu and really loved it. Service was attentive and very accommodating to our wishes. The starters were very tasty and fulfilling. The pita is delicious and served fresh! We had samke harra and halabi kabab and both were really well made! The rose water lemonade was amazing too! And their bakery items also were so fresh and delicious! I was very impressed how every little detail was designed well in the ambiance. The trays the servers served with to the scented candles in the bathrooms. Everything is well thought through and upscale looking. What impressed me even more was that the napkins were spotless white and ironed! Only recommendation I have is to fix and clean the pillows in the sunroom. They are ripped and dirty. Design wise everything is extremely pleasant.

Sassafras Bar in Philadelphia offers a romantic and inviting atmosphere with its warm lighting and wood-paneled setting, evoking the ambiance of the Roaring 20s. The bar is popular for its classic cocktails, juicy tenderloin burgers, and soothing jazz music. Guests can enjoy an intimate experience while sipping cocktails and indulging in upscale versions of comfort foods from the menu.
I was happy I stopped by Sassafras to check out its charm as I was in Philly. I got there right around when it opened and was able to enjoy the ambiance and a few cocktails. Although the bartenders were clearly well seasoned in making cocktails, I was hoping for a little bit more from both of my drinks - they just seemed to be missing something that made them really stand out. Still was an enjoyable stop for a drink.

Delicious tomato bisque, solid grilled cheese, flavorful portobello burger, and a well-made cucumber mocktail. Excellent service in a cozy atmosphere. Not my favorite fries (shoestring style), but they were still good. Would return!

The grilled cheese (with tomato) was delicious, and I highly recommend the waffle fries, which were very flavorful.

Amazing atmosphere and great service! The bartenders and servers did a great job explaining the menu, asking our likes/dislikes, and serving up delicious cocktails. There was also live music that was low key but sounded great in their space. Highly recommended by the local bartenders - everyone we asked said we needed to stop by this location and we almost missed it several times just walking but the entrance and not even knowing it was a little gem!

Sassafras in Old City, Philadelphia, offers a cozy, vintage atmosphere with a lot of charm, making it an inviting spot to unwind. The bartenders are friendly and the setting, with its dark wood and timeless feel, adds to the experience. While the drinks are decent, they don’t quite stand out compared to other cocktail bars in the city. It’s a good spot if you’re looking for a laid-back, nostalgic vibe, but the cocktails may not be the highlight.

I’m a big fan of cocktail bars and the style of this one was right up my alley. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a well made classic last word as well as the BLT with the waffle fries. The BLT was nothing special for me but the waffle fries were addicting. The best part of the experience for me honestly was Clark behind the bar with his super attentive service and I learned he’s quite intuitive. I’ll definitely be back and hopefully Clark’s shaking it up behind the bar.

Woodmere Art Museum, located in a 19th-century Victorian mansion in Philadelphia's Chestnut Hill neighborhood, is dedicated to showcasing the art and artists of the city. In addition to paintings and sculptures, the museum also hosts jazz nights on Fridays featuring themed events and tributes to iconic musicians. Founded in 1940, Woodmere houses around 8,000 works of art including paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, and photographs by local Philadelphia artists.
Lovely museum. From the outside, where there is are and spaces to sit and enjoy, to the inside. We were greeted with a smile and provided a map. The museum is free all summer. There are paintings, sculptures, and various types of art displayed. It was great to learn about the different artists and their inspiration for each peace. You can take as long as you to move through each room. This made for a nice afternoon activity.

It’s our second time visiting the Museum and it was Sunday. It’s a beautiful place to visit with your family. The handmade paintings were breathtaking. However, we were constantly followed by a staff member wherever we went. I had my 3.5year toddler and my husband with me. My toddler wanted to use the restroom and it was interesting to get knocked as soon as we got into the restroom. We are there to visit not to mess with anything. It was not very pleasant that you are being watched and treated that way even when you go to the restroom . I hope no one has to go through this when they are visiting a beautiful place like this.

I am in awe of this place! Their free admission Sunday offer is wonderful to me. The outdoor gardens are stunning. The art seen inside is just timeless in so many ways. I found the older section of the building told the most amount of history + the artwork seen in those galleries left me speechless. The light fixtures alone are like time capsules with an artistic flair. I will be going back often on Sundays to explore of the museum and all it has to offer.

Free on Sundays. They have a nice-sized parking lot. There are sculptures outside surrounding the museum. Inside, there’s the ticket counter and a small museum gift shop behind it. The museum focuses on artists of Philadelphia which is a neat concept. There’s some great art to be found here. They also have a small room for works by children.

Great museum! Went for their last Summer Jazz show of the season, there are other shows that occur throughout the year. The band plays a different artist or genre every event. It was nice to bring a chair and snacks and listen to music surrounded by their outdoor which is very creative and beautiful. They have a yearly membership you can get or pay as you attend. A museum worth seeing! #museum #jazz

The American Philosophical Society Museum, established in 1743 by Benjamin Franklin and other intellectuals, is dedicated to the exploration of science, history, and art. It serves as a center for scholarship and research. The museum's exhibits showcase treasures from its collection of over 13 million manuscripts and historical objects. Located next to Independence Hall, it houses rare books, photographs, and more.
Nice, small museum where it seems to have diverse rotating exhibits. Visited with various natural aviary and landscape illustrations from Charles Wilson Peale and John Audubon. Furthermore was fortunate to see their Family Fun day, participate in a few activities to collect postcards of featured artwork and a free prize, was a great event for all ages, even has a local animal illustrator, and not crowded!
Sean Q — Google review
The museum portion of American Philosophical Society is free and open to the public on Thursday through Sunday, plus Wednesday in July, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Donations are accepted at the desk. The exhibit has a capacity of forty visitors but is unlikely to have that many at a time, and the space felt crowded with only ten to fifteen visitors because of how cases were placed in the room. Lighting in the space was dim, making signs difficult to read. Due to the steep steps at both entrances, a lift and elevator are available to provide access for those using a wheelchair or with limited mobility. No bathrooms are on this site, so go at the Visitor Center ahead of time. Fortunately, the gallery should not take more than ten minutes. I was underwhelmed by the experience but found the young staff members extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Unless you want to see something specific in the exhibit, I would pass on this venue.

This unique museum opened in 2001. It is a hidden gem near Independence Hall that our family visits at least once a year. The museum is located in Philosophical Hall, a Georgian style building erected in 1789. The Society was founded by Ben Franklin. His statue keeps a watchful eye from across the street. The museum's annual, changing exhibits celebrate advances in science and American history. Admission is free, with donations welcome.

A neat red building across from the Library, located within the historic Independence Hall site. The museum was closed when we visited, but that didn’t stop us from capturing some beautiful photos.

The whole exhibit only takes about 30 minutes if you go slow, but there's some really cool documents in there. It's only a recommended $5 per head, and it's worth it.

This was an unexpected rare find. We found this museum on the way out of Independence Hall. The current exhibit is Women in Science and it is a good balance of informative and fun facts. Admission is free and the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. This is a great spot for a temperature controlled short detour after exploring Independence Hall or the Liberty Bell.

Dahlak, located in West Philly, is a casual Ethiopian restaurant that offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I really want to love this but I just can’t. At least not yet. The good: friendly staff, love the location, the bar next store kills the vibe with their loud music but that’s not their fault. Really nice atmosphere and decor. Could easily be my regular spot. Food is really good! No complaints there. Only bad thing is the portion size for the price. I got the mesob which is a meat and two vegan sides for $20. I got like 4 nibs of meat and a small amount of sides. Whole thing took me 5 mins to finish. It was more the size of an appetizer not an entree. They servings were thin and spread out to make it look like a lot. Should easily be 2x to 2.5x what I got. Bill came to $22. Left. A $4 tip. Total $26 for an appetizer sized meal and I’m still hungry. The review is not intended to be a hate post but to offer constructive criticism.

Loving the new look with the mesob tables. I was expecting the authentic Ethiopian dining experience where they bring out a big round plate for the mesob and we all eat off of it, but we were given a small square plate to serve one. Food was great though. And the date cake is delicious. Do try it. I wish they could import Tej. I fell in love with honey wine at an Ethiopian restaurant in Queens and haven’t had any since.
Ymani E — Google review
We stopped by when the place was packed, which we completely understood. We placed and paid for our order, then waited patiently. About 30 minutes in, we checked with the employee at the bar, who told us our food was still being “made.” That sounded reasonable given how busy it was, so we continued to wait. An hour after placing our order, a different server came over and told us they couldn’t find our ticket—so our order hadn’t even been started. To make matters worse, we were then told they couldn’t make the food we originally ordered because they had run out of ingredients. We were issued a refund without any problem, which we appreciated. However, the whole experience left us feeling very confused and disappointed. We weren’t expecting a big apology, but at the very least, someone could have acknowledged that the kitchen lost our order and that they had run out of items. A little communication would’ve gone a long way
Yurie S — Google review
I’ve tried to order from here via delivery apps three times. The first time they just told me it was an issue with Uber eats. The next two times, no explanation, just order canceled as the driver got there. They should not let themselves be on these apps if they do not accept orders from them. Don’t bother trying to order online.

I recently just visited this place for the first time for a Monday night band; Of Mice and Men. You can't miss the place driving through normal traffic or even walking by, the sign is very well lit and visible, plus you can hear the live music playing from out on the streets. Walking in you're greeted by staff with great customer service and direct you into the right direction. Now my only complaint about this place, when you walk in a little further past the box office, there's the men's and women's bathroom to your right and left hand side, so right away it just smells like bathroom, almost like a portapotty (spell check me lol); other than that the place offers a small but good bar, some food as in pizza, pretzels, hot dogs, and even non-alcoholic beverages. Floor space is roomy even with a good size crowd, they do have a balcony section as well but I'm not sure if you have to pay extra for that. I'd do five stars but again, that bathroom smell is what got to me because even being on the floor, when the doors from the outside are opened, it pushes the smell into the concert area.

I don't generally write reviews but... I was there to see John Carpenter. I've worked in a professional theater since I was 16. This building is unsafe. People were crammed in like sardines, they oversold. Some of the staff were great, others were really rude. We tried to get a refund but were informed they didn't have a policy, even when they oversell to the point of people being unable to fit into the theater. The house manager had someone from security escort/push through the crowd to get us to the front of house right since it was the only place there was any extra space. Their stage lighting is hung on wood beams... I do overhire work for lighting and I've never seen anything like it. It's a fire hazard. And the guy running the lighting board didn't know what a grid was when I asked when it was last updated. It was incredibly alarming and you couldn't pay me to enter the building again. I was going to go see Bianca del Rio there but... Nope. I've never feared for my safety in a building before. I'm not from Pennsylvania so maybe the laws are different but in NYC or NJ, this building would not pass the fire inspection.

Had a blast here on Memorial day. The bouncer at the door was super friendly. He even wished my wife a happy early birthday after checking her ID. It was pretty busy and we were seated immediately in a section marked reservation only and right on the water. Beautiful view and we got to meet a lot of really awesome people, both patrons and staff. The cheesesteak egg rolls, fried calamari and fried cheddar sticks were all delicious. And if you want a cocktail the Two to Mango is great! The bartenders and security were all incredibly friendly and fun to talk to. Only thing that could've made the night better would have been live music instead of trivia night.

The location is beautiful, with the view of the pier and the bridge. A very lively atmosphere. The drinks was nice, but the cocktails could be a bit better and the food wasn't that great except for the cheesestake egg rolls. But overall a great experience.

We decided to head over here for dinner Tuesday night to get our little one some outside time. It is ok to bring kids in with you as long as you are out before 9pm - which was definitely our plan since it was a school night. We were seated initially at once of the tables by the water, but ended moving to a booth not directly next to the water since it was a little breezy and more brisk then we expected. Staff, including our waitress, were all really friendly and the service was very timely. Didn't feel like it took very long between ordering items and it being brought to us, but also wasn't too fast if that makes sense. Everything was ok, didn't have any complaints on our meal. Our little one enjoyed her food and taking everything around her - saw a couple of sail boats and the trains passing under the bridge got her really excited lol. It's always a cool spot on the water I've been to with friends/to hangout - now we know it's an okay spot to bring a kid too (just earlier in the evening).

Let’s start with the service… we made a reservation for 12 people. We showed up 5 minutes early, they had no knowledge of a reservation, then set us in a random corner away from everything in the direct sunlight, we had to ask to move to a shady spot. The spot had separate tables so we put the tables together ourselves than 20 minutes after sitting They asked us to Move our tables down because a band was showing up in two hours. Our server came to the table and sounded like she was hung over or on something. Mind you it was Mother’s Day and no one even said happy Mother’s Day to the obvious Mom‘s at the table. Our waitress dropped off water and took one persons drink order and walked off (then had an issue with us walking to the bar) the food wasn’t the greatest either not for the price. Over all the disrespect and inconsideration is what drove me to post a negative review. I’ve attracted a photo of the weak cheesesteak egg rolls

I lovvveee Morgan’s pier. I come here often. They are sponsoring pumpkin 🎃 carving. The experience was fun. I took my daughter and my goddaughter. The food portions were perfect, as well. The only thing is the service-she was okay- she had to much going on and did not know how to distribute her time, but go!

I’m giving 2 stars only because view and decoration are really nice but everything else was disappointing. I ordered hot drink which supposed to come with whip cream and the server said that they run out of it and with donuts I understand it you make it on the house fresh but what the deal with whip cream, so my husband asked then for extra marshmallows since the drink would come without whip cream and still the drink looked very disgusting. Besides that service was really bad and server didn’t bother at all to make sure we have napkins and ketchup for the fries just was keep talking to bartender and other servers.

The Mermaid Inn is a beloved tavern and performance venue in Northwest Philly, known for its diverse music offerings and open jam nights. The historic colonial era inn features a rich brown wood bar that adds to its charm, despite being a bit run-down. It's a favorite spot for locals to enjoy live music spanning various genres like folk, blues, rock, and jazz while sipping on an interesting selection of bottled beers.
This is a wonderful venue to enjoy live music!! Be sure to check their online calendar their openings can be variable. The atmosphere is cosy, the drinks reasonable and most of the customers are musicians 🎶

Despite being a little run-down, the Mermaid is understandably well-loved for its historic building retaining much of its architectural detail & charm. The colonial era inn claims the finely-detailed rich brown wood bar is original. We visited for the first time to see the final performance of the fantastic groove-band the Sacred Cowboys. Great band & fans! Large, supportive crowd! We didn't eat, but the bar staff was efficient & friendly.

I rated it 5 stars, but, for a very unusual reason. I recently learned that my Mother and Father would go to the Inn for dates back in 1964. They married and I was born a year later. There is a beautiful little wooded area on the right side of the Inn as you look at the front door, right behind the old trolley station, now a flower shop. They loved the Inn and the little nature area. My Mother was killed in a car wreck days before my second birthday. Over the years I was always afraid to ask my Dad details about my Mother since I knew it gave him such pain. A few weeks before he past away, I finally asked him about her, and where he had spread her ashes. He told me he spread them in the beautiful area next to the Mermaid Inn. A few days after he passed I decided to go and see where he put her to rest. Much to my delight I found the Inn was still open 55 years later. I was also able to find the area where he placed her. I felt a sense of comfort and gratitude as I walked where they had walked together as a young twenty something couple. I realized many of the same trees I walked under provided them the same shade in 1965 as they did for me in 2023. I felt peaceful and closer to my Mother than I can ever remember. As I left, I walked up to the door of the Mermaid Inn and stood in the doorway (it was late morning and the Inn was closed). I realized my parents had walked through these doors together as they shared love, laughter and wonderful meals so many years ago. As I wiped the tears from my eyes, I noticed a few flyers for upcoming band performances and thought to myself, if my parents were still in their 20s, they would have been there to enjoy the shows, the beer and the fun. So, although I've never been inside the Inn, drank a beer or enjoyed food or a show, I'm certain you'll enjoy it as my parents did all those years ago. Possibly I wouldn't be here today if it hadn't been for them falling in love and dating at the Inn.

A friendly and chill place. Friendly bartender who made great drinks. Food was ok but don't let that stop you from stopping in. A real neighborhood bar. No pretentiousness here and I loved that.

Fun place to see local live bands. It's small in size, but many bands play here to keep warmed up between larger gigs. Friendly bartenders, decent prices.

A hidden treasure. Great listening room for music of all styles in a colonial era building. The bar itself could be in a museum, built of teak wood. A great gathering place for everyone. Love this place.

Favorite place to get a drink in the area. A wide range of music acts play here, but they're always fun and great quality. Atmosphere is more like somebody invited a bunch of friends over their house than a commercial bar. Come be one of the friends.

A friendly gathering place to hear/ sometimes dance to, great live music. One Thursday monthly is open mike... opportunity to hear, and support, good local talent. The facility is historic and has warm, interesting atmosphere. Nice staff.
