Great sound, make sure to enter from the parking lot behind as there is no street side entrance. Had to wait about 5 minutes outside on a Tuesday night in the cold during the security check that included a wand. Didn’t have to show my ticket on my phone until I was in the warmth of the venue. And as a single female attending with a disability I felt completely safe.

Cool venue to take in a show. Intimate environment with good views of the stage all around. (I’ll admit there’s a pillar kind of in the middle of the venue that makes it hard to see if you’re standing right in the middle of the venue but it’s a GA venue so just move I guess). Prices were generally fair, good drink selection, staff was helpful and courteous. The venue itself was well maintained, clean bathrooms, and not a dive by any means. There’s a balcony which was unfortunately closed for this show that I would’ve liked to watch from but no big deal. Will be back this fall for another concert after the experience we had this last time.

Great spot to catch some live music. I just made my first visit to see the North Mississippi AllStars and look forward to many more. Good floor to see the band up close and a balcony as well with limited seating/standing.

I've literally never written a review before, but I was so impressed by my experience that I can't not say something. I went to a show last night and brought my 7 month old with me. Prior to going, I looked at their website, and I appreciate how detailed it was about what is/isn't allowed and possible accommodations. I am someone who gets anxious going to new places, so seeing everything spelled out online before I got there helped me prepare. I was baby-wearing my 7 month old and had headphones for him. My diaper bag was over the size limit, but they had no problem letting me in with it after checking it, per protocol. The staff were so nice! There was limited seating on the main floor and without me even asking, staff offered to let me sit up on the indoor balcony (which was closed from the public). This allowed me to enjoy the show without any stress. I got to set the diaper bag down, soothe my fussy baby, and nurse. Baby slept through the show, and staff checked on me several times to make sure I was doing okay. And of course, the performers were amazing. I wish I could give more stars. Thank you, High Noon Saloon!

First time at this concert venue - Birdtalker. Great atmosphere and very intimate. Will definitely go again.

Went to see the The Band Feel awesome show. Cute little place to hold smaller shows.

This is a nice venue, the saloon layout is interesting. It's quite spacious. The sound was decent. The staff was all very nice. I would recommend this for a concert. It sounded like they were having a wedding the next day, that sounds pretty interesting.

What a legit neighborhood vibe. Cool timeless nick nacks in hidden spaces. Pickles Eggs were on point and amazing. Small & mightly menu pictured.

This is such am awesome place, you have the bar area, the back room area and the patio! We chose the patio. This place is so relaxing! I love the atmosphere! I'm so relaxed and the drinks go down easy, the food is so hot, and delicious! Sorry, I could not help taking a bite! Our server was Jess or Jessica and she is so great and down to earth! I would recommend this place every day! Stopping here before a concert at Atwood Music Hall! Very short walk from here! Plenty of off street parking for the restaurant.

I was walking around Madison on a Saturday evening and needed a beer and some food. I saw that Mickey's was close, so I stopped in. The bar seats were occupied, but there were several open tables and I snagged one of those. The decor has a dive bar feel to it, but it was clean. The server was friendly and welcoming. Food and beers arrived quickly. Everything was tasty. Although it appeared to be nice place to hang out, I had other plans. I would definitely come back to Mickey's if I was in the area again.

Neighborhood place even when it's not your neighborhood. Full service bar. Plenty of taps. Plenty of bottles/cans. Young lady attending us was cordial, professional, capable, attentive. Watching her around the house you could see she was "game on" good. Looking forward to another visit! Papa G approved 👍🏼

Always a good evening on the patio and hard to beat the prices. This is a place we come back to over and over again in the neighborhood because it has good food, cheap drinks, and a quaint little patio. Would recommend for drinks, dinner, and anything in between.

Friendly service! Good drinks! (I didnt try the food). Can get very crowded during shows but generally good vibes. They have a pool table and outdoor seating area. Cute lighting.

Hadn’t been in Mickey’s since the 90s when Daithi Wolf et all did their Irish Musical jams. Stumbled into this joint only to discover Michelle Duval Trio with Buddy The Wonderdog lighting up their patio. Had the most lovely post-summer evening dining with My Son on extra-sexy fries that were to die for, cheese curds, a burger with blue cheese. A cocktail for him was a bit too boozy, but my Shirley Temple was on point. Our server was a total doll and just the right mix of cheeky & camaraderie. Owner/manager was attentive as well! What a delightful night!

Been to the Orpheum for several shows. I have always found it to be a positive experience. Getting through security was easy, and quick. The lobby can get a little busy and crowded (nothing new there). If you are planning to buy alcohol, you get your wrist strap ahead of time. There's a place to get merchandise, and that can get a bit congested. Plenty of folks to help you get to your seats. For this show we were front row balcony (which I feel is the best spot in the entire place). The seats are a little dated, narrow, and might benefit from being restuffed. The acoustics were good, but not great but certainly better than most large venues (i.e. Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee). I would definitely come again.

The seating was pretty comfortable and the view was great from the balcony. A parking garage with really close access is nearby, and lots of restaurant options on the same street.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Orpheum and it was AMAZING. Clean, organized, and friendly staff. We got everything we hoped for and more!

Wonderful old theater/stage venue, providing a great close to stage experience in an aesthetically pleasing 19th century style. Seating is comfortable and adequately spacious (average height and normal body mass index)

Small intimate theater with great sound. Bathrooms are ancient, but work! Credit card payment only and no food for sale with the exception of a small selection of chips or candy.

Performers at the Orpheum are great SECURITY SUCKS!!! Showed up 20 mins before a show for a smaller comedian and waited in line for 30 minutes outside in a storm because security was RUDE. Went to Colin Jost and Pete Davidson 2 years ago and got in immediately. FIGURE YOUR STUFF OUT

Nice place to see a show if you want to stand. They have general seating in the balcony, but it may not be open and view is terrible. Best seats are the ones you pay extra for in the box seats in balcony.

Been to a few shows at Majestic. Went to my first metal show there on 9/19. Security at the front of the stage was super aggressive. A concert attendee was knocked unconscious. Paramedics had to be brought in. Luckily, the patron got up and was able to walk out on his own. I really like the venue and going to shows there but if this is going to be the type of interactions to expect from this place then I probably won’t be attending any more shows there.

The venue itself was very nice, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The sound/acoustics were absolutely awful though, you COULD NOT clearly hear the vocals for the opener, or the headliner. You couldn't even understand what they were saying in between songs, so I can't even blame the singers voices having to fight over the music itself during their collective sets. I observed this from multiple areas of the venue, with the exception of being right in front of the stage (cant verify the sound in that location as I never went up that close). If I wasn't already incredibly familiar with the artist I went to see, I only would've understood about 20 words during the entire show. Very huge disappointment for me as I traveled from 5 hours away to see this show. That will be the first and last show I ever see at this venue, specifically for that reason. I'm not even a lyrics guy when it comes to music, but the singing is still a very important element to the majority of music. I've seen well over a hundred shows at dozens of different venues across the country in my life, but this one absolutely takes the cake for having the worst sound. Cool atmosphere, terrible sound. 3 stars for the employees and atmosphere only. Otherwise this would be negative 5 stars.

Love this venue, super intimate and pretty good sound. Was here for Boa last night and the staff were helpful in aiding with an incident of a drunk couple groping and harassing my boyfriend and dumping drinks down his back. Unfortunately we did leave early because of the issues as neither of us wanted to be there from out of town soaked in beer. Hopefully we can come back another time and have a better experience.

As a recent need for a wheelchair had come up, I was absolutely amazed at the kindness and assistance in a beautiful old building that was never made for such contraptions. The venue is absolutely sweet as well, small, but very large. Funny it looks bigger with a mob of folks grooving than when it’s empty. A little piece of history and absolute kindness

I really love the sound mixing here. The bass can be a bit much but compared to other venues I can always understand the vocals. I have seen multiple artists here the last year, most recently gojira My number one issue is not enough ada seating. I wish there were more than 20 chairs dedicated to Ada that were reasonably within view of the stage

I just have to give the biggest shoutout to Annie, one of the managers at The Sylvee. I came to the show by myself and realized I’d left my AirPods in the car parked literally across the street. They told me I couldn’t leave and come back in, but suggested I talk to Annie. I explained to her that I have really bad anxiety and that music helps me calm down when the concert isn’t going. Without hesitation, Annie personally walked me out to my car across the street to grab them. She didn’t just do her job, she went above and beyond to made me feel safe, seen, and welcomed. She even took a moment to make conversation, eye contact and shook my hand. I felt genuinely cared about and don’t get that kind of kindness everywhere. I also I saw her giving water to a couple of really drunk girls who were clearly having a rough time, just taking care of everyone with patience. I already loveddd this venue, and the way they take care of their customers, but Annie stood out to me. I can’t thank her enough for turning what could’ve been a stressful situation into such a positive experience. 11/10 my favorite venue. 11/10 customer service.

Amazing place to see a concert. Easy, cheap parking, efficient and friendly admissions. All views are great. Acoustics well designed. One of the best small form (2500) venues I've been to. Hoping to return soon!

The staff here are beyond kind and caring! We were standing in the hot heat for hours and they came out to offer people water and check on us before the doors opened. We appreciated it as it was over 90°! The show was everything we could have hoped for. Kind of wished the bathroom toiletries they offer for women were in stock, but the bathrooms were clean and very nice. The bar and staff were very kind and the drinks tasted GREAT. Security/staff are actually very nice and chatted with us a little when they could before the show started! It was a dream come true for me to experience my first concert ever and also to see my favorite artist ever--Jessie Reyez so the amazing venue and staff just made my night one I'll never forget! Thank you!! 🫶🏾

Shows are amazing, there isn't a bad place to be in the whole place. Tickets are reasonable, especially if bought in person at venue, get to skip ticketmaster markups. Seen plenty of up and coming artists, really a great location. My favorite venue by far. Easy in/out of venue and to get in/out of madison.

We went to a concert here on Friday night and had a fantastic experience. We had reserved bleacher seats, which offered plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the show. While the bleachers don’t have backrests, the venue does allow guests to bring their own portable bleacher seats, which is a great option for added comfort. Parking was surprisingly easy. We found free parking just a short walk away from the venue. Getting in was quick and stress-free too, ticket scanning was fast, and we were able to find our seats without any hassle. Overall, Breese Stevens Field is a well-run, comfortable venue and a great place to see live music. We’d definitely go back for another show!

Well the sound was good and I could see the stage from my vantage point but that was a very weird concert layout. A big big AV Booth right in The front middle of the general admission area. And then two open Lanes for the seated area on either side of the GA area. It made it unnecessarily cramped. But I will say the sound was good and they had plenty of clean porta potties. If there was a compelling enough artist I would definitely go back.

Ultimately I had a great time at the Queens of the Stone Age show. Can I make one recommendation? Maybe for every 5 beer carts, you set up some water refilling stations. I asked several employees for a water fountain and none could tell me where one was, thankfully the medics knew where the free water hook up was. But it’s hot, we need to hydrate in between adult bevvies more easily!

Fun little field with great staff and great flow in and out during events. Forward Madison games feel easy to come in and out of, and you get a fantastic view from most bleachers.

Cool venue, horrible parking situation. We thought we were prepared but we definitely were not. If you want to park in a garage get there at least 1 hour prior to doors opening. We parked at a park and walked 15 minutes to the venue. Sound was great, video was great. The venue staff was very friendly and kind. I would go again but definitely plan better. Or better yet stay in the area!

Outdoor soccer field that doubles as a nice small/medium concert venue. Saw Weird Al GA tickets were a fun experience, would definitely splurge on the seated area closer to the stage for next time. Security was thorough but worked quickly, event staff were all pleasant. Prices were not astronomical for a live event downtown in the city. Lots of available parking lot/garage space within 2 blocks range 15-30$ Would attend again.

Such a unique stadium in the heart of Madison. It offers a different feel than the traditional soccer specific stadiums. It’s different angled stands and homey feel make for a wonderful view and new experience from every seat you could choose. From the regular bleachers along one sideline, to tent-style suites on the other side line, to a bier garden standing room only section on the ground behind one goal with a few tables in front of it, to an elevated porch looking area right above, I wish I could have sat in every one seat. The club also has tons of unique merchandise and does very well with its branding. I love how everything is not cookie cutter and how it all is so different and so much cooler than most any other club. Definitely have to go see a game if you are in town

Quaint little jazz club in Madison, Wisconsin. Hand-crafted cocktails plus a variety of wine and beer. Cool, relaxed vibe with occasional live music.

It's a very unique place. It's not high tempo , very low key, chill, chess & checkers vibe. I got tequila lemonade and that was good. One bartender was short with us, one was very informative and friendly. It did have live music and at a good volume.

The music here is simply incredible! Excellent band! Unfortunately the acoustics were not good, and the cocktails might just have been the worst I’ve ever had in Madison. I’d come again, but I’ll stick to beer next time 🍺 Edit: I came back a year later and the cocktails were much improved 😀 and the show was really fabulous with the incredible Tani Diakite. Everyone was up and dancing and enjoying the music.

The vibe at Café CODA is just that: a vibe, a speakeasy environment. The owners see it as an art happening for first-class musicians to have a local venue supporting music. Community Engagement and outreach activities happen here. The bartenders are real mixologists.

When you arrive at the unassuming place, you will be surprised when you step in. Cozy atmosphere. There are several small tables and chairs and a stage to enjoy the show. Drinks are available. Not much room to dance. Celebrated New Year’s Eve here. Had a good time

The atmosphere is classy! Maybe acoustics should not matter for jazz but I swear that the high wood ceiling makes a difference. Last night's jazz artist said so too. Both jazz groups I saw were tops!

North Street cabaret is a friendly, warm place to experience local and national music and comedy acts.

Love the North Street and especially that they support great live music. I bought tickets for the "Arab Blues" on a recommendation from WORT, and they blew me away. Not just musically but bringing together an audience that spoke English, Arabic, and I don't know what else. I felt this show really brought us all together. Thank you.

First time visiting Monona Terrace and it was such a beautiful experience! The building’s architecture is stunning, with Frank Lloyd Wright’s design giving it such a unique charm. The views of Lake Monona from the rooftop garden are absolutely breathtaking—perfect spot for photos and just soaking in the scenery. Everything felt clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. I also loved how close it is to the Capitol building, making it easy to explore both in one trip. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Madison!

A fine convention center with a nice view but finding your way around this building just sucks so bad. Queues for all the elevators, hidden staircases, bathrooms are miles away from everything else. The lake view is nice but this place took my opinion of Frank Lloyd Wright from 'decent architect' to 'bumbling idiot' real quick

The Monona Terrace is an iconic landmark in Madison. It offers a gorgeous view of the Capitol and an overlook of Lake Monona. It is a beautiful area to walk around or take a break at one of the many outdoor tables. Many people enjoy taking a lunch break here or reading a book. There is paid parking in the Monona Terrace or paid street parking in the surrounding area. However, the Monona Terrace is best accessed by foot. The Monona Terrace is accessible for wheelchairs.

A wonderful community space! Great views of Lake Monona and the Capitol. Beautiful things happen here!

It's a beautiful space to hold any event free summer rooftop concerts are a must. If you like walking and biking there's a path on the lake for bikers and walkers/runners. You can even just come down if you like to fish and fish along the wall on the path great fishing

I would give it five star, but they really need to do something about the parking when I went there Saturday for an event. There should’ve been parking for me. It wasn’t that overrun with activities and events, but they made the parking lot. It was all full which I had to walk along way then and I was able to park out by the lake they have metered parking, but then somebody tried to break into my car and when I drove past the parking lot after they told me it was full I saw like 10 spaces. I could see into the parking lot. They need to get a grip on that because it’s difficult in the area to find parking so keep that in mind you might be better off taking Uber or we all need to complain that they need to do something better about their parking situation. There was plenty of parking and they said it was full and then somebody tried to break in my car when I had to park down by the lake so no I would. I would definitely give it four star. They have a great gift shop in Monona Terrace and it’s got a lot of brake Lloyd Wright stuff and the bathrooms are nice and they’re clean if you’re going for vent there’s also fishing outside you can go outside and fish and that was nice and you can ride your bikes all along now that was nice but because of that my car almost they tried. They broke my door and everything trying to get in so if you’re going to park in that area, be careful. Make sure you lock it or just don’t park there unless All shout out to them do something about the parkingI was going to an event that had been paid for and there were very few people in my group that were there there should be no excuse for it. They need more staff.

Musicians are fantastic! They had fun with the audience and their Halloween themed music! The candles set the ambiance perfectly for the evening. I loved it!

Very nice establishment on the lake with excellent service. The average prices run $35+ for fish and over $50 for steaks. The food presentation is exceptional and the portions (outside of the steaks) run on the smaller side. The flavors were strong but I didn't find the food exceptional (especially considering the price), but I still left satisfied. Regardless, the restaurant has a great atmosphere with a full bar, plenty of large tables (perfect for groups) and attentive staff. The restaurant is ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible (as well as ADA parking). There are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu as well.

Great food, great atmosphere and great prices. This is the old school supper club atmosphere with a happy hour at the bar before the meal. The steaks are all great and the deep fried perch on Friday is excellent with a light batter all done in house. The deep fried walleye was also excellent.

2/23 - Another visit and the experience was solid. Nice staff, solid food, and prompt service so I had no issues. I had the shrimp special this visit. 10/22 - Good little restaurant on the outskirts of Madison. Staff was nice. Food was good and delivered hot. Manager/owner was super nice and chatted with me about my stop. Recommend a visit if you want a little higher end spot to stop.

Absolutely loved our visit to Mariners Inn! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The homemade pumpernickel bread was the perfect start and was fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. We ordered the fried shrimp and Canadian walleye, and both were outstanding. The fish was perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The shrimp were so big and filling. We also tried the hashbrowns and au gratin potatoes, which were both delicious and comforting. Perfect sides to round out the meal. The view from the restaurant was just as memorable as the food and absolutely beautiful and added to the overall charm. What truly made our experience special was the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive, and we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner. Hearing the story of how the restaurant got started and the family history behind it added such a personal and memorable touch. It’s clear this is a place built on passion and pride. A wonderful, family-owned gem with amazing food, great views, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommend!

Our server was great, zero complaints about service. However, I believe it’s overpriced for what it is… food quality wasn’t up to par with the other supper clubs/steakhouses in the area.

We decided to come out here for a date night since we have never been here before. The food was very delicious, and there were large portions. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We stopped in for the fish fry and got seated very quickly with our reservations we had made online. The whole place gives you the classic supper club feel, which was nice. Although I kinda had to duck walking through one of the hallways that had some sort of Christmas looking lights hanging from the ceiling lol Pricing seemed a little high for the steaks, but we didn't get to try them so I'm sure they're priced fairly.

One of Madison's best staples! Sad that the end of the journey is almost here. Glad we got to enjoy it one more time! The von Rutenberg's are really tremendous people and I hope they all enjoy retirement!

Lovely small venue, staff was super friendly! Snacks and drinks are cash-only but there is an ATM on site. The bathrooms are pretty cramped though, and the rush at intermission was a bit hectic. The charm of this place can't be beat though, will certainly try shows here in the future.

I’ve been to the Barrymore Theatre multiple times. The staff is always quite nice and the atmosphere feels like an old local theatre, which is lovely and timeless. The remodel and seat replacement have massively improved the experience seeing a show there. Overall, very fun time and nice local feel, even if some local theatres in the area are a little more comfortable.

I went to see Stephanie Miller. It was comedy and sarcasm, and I loved it. The theatre is very nice and the show was a sell-out. There was an assortment of candy, popcorn, sodas, several kinds of beer, wine, and mixed drinks or shots. Also, it has some very unusual artwork. Masks, etc.

Great venue, not too huge, easy to navigate. ATM on site, snacks merch all right there. I have come here for a lot of concerts over a lot of years, and is my favorite local venue, by far! Plus you can get a meal at Monty's which is basically next door, and delicious. Highly recommend!

Very cool venue. Really enjoyed it but learned the hard way that parking is an issue. Parking lot in back isn't large enough for the shows. We had to park 3 blocks away and we saw people that were farther away. Had I known this would be an issue we would have gotten an Uber from our motel.

I've always enjoyed stopping in when I was on tour or seeing a show in Madison. Friday was a chance to bring a new friend I made since I moved here permanently. I picked her up from work and I had her at "best Apple pie shots ever" She's a huge music/Brit Invasion fan (as am I) so she was pumped when I told her about the place. We're all planning to get a little group of us together and go to the Riot Grrl burlesque show coming up. Definitely one of my favorite places in Madison.

We're from North Carolina, love to visit random cities and learn new cultures. Ended up here late at night after a concert and had a fantastic time! Bartender and patrons were great, really enjoyed talking with everyone and sharing life stories!! Great drinks and food😊

Recently visited with a friend who was told he was banned after coming to the bar for the first time in over two years. The manager Chelsey was very rude and gave no reason for the ban. She said he threatened someone and I know that’s a lie. She is friends with Austin Draheim, a bartender just around the corner and he had him banned over two years ago for disagreeing with him and giving him a not so nice review because of his toxic attitude and behavior. That bar is woofs. They both are dangerous people and I will not go to either bar again. The way these bartenders have acted is exactly how Plan B/Prism and recently This Is It were forced to shut down.

Fun cozy bar! The first time I visited was during a small music festival and the place was packed and the vibes were great. The last time I went it was a nice quiet time with some good drinks!

I organized a four-day event that ended with a Good-bye brunch at the Rigby. The staff was so helpful and friendly getting everything arranged with us before the brunch! The food was fantastic and exceeded my expectations! I would definitely book the Rigby's private accessable event space again! Great job Rigby Staff!

Had a great time. Went for the comic open mic night. There are some funny guys and girls. It was kind of like walking into someone's living room with a bunch of friends doing stand-up.

Went to this coffee shop on a nice Saturday morning. It was very nice with a super cute interior and plenty of seating but quite busy. I gave it only a 4/5 because I find it odd it closes so early on a Saturday and because the service was a little slow due to what seems like slight understaffing. All the employees were very nice however and definitely working to get everything done asap. I ordered a double shot cappuccino and it was decent, had a good amount of foam but was a little milky. My friends got a variety of breakfast sandwiches and also thought they were average. Their lattes were good however. Overall, cute place with cute vibes but not 10/10 food and drinks. Will (probably) be back.

This is a very unique coffee establishment that you do not see very often. The writing orders by hand on prices of paper and passion from welcoming stand to the bar staff is rarity to see. They do use square to take payment but do not utilize to create orders which square is designed for. This makes things slower by a lot. The food came pretty tasty, specifically grilled cheese with garlic and fresh tomatoes was very good. The lattes also great. Plenty of street parking around the place. Indoors and outdoors seating (when warm). Very simple place with no extra special ambiance. All chairs in this place are random and seem more like collection of random items than decor.

What a great old building converted into a cafe! Plenty of seating in this historic building. I had the Ham and cheddar breakfast sandwich. Delicious! Their lattes are excellent. 5 stars.

Don't come here if you think you'll be able to get on and get out. Not sure if we came during a one off day but it took 20 minutes waiting on line to order two coffees then another 10 minutes to get our coffee. The operations were terrible. Two people were making coffee and food. The person taking orders at the host stand was also running orders to people. There was another person who seemed to run an order out every once in a while. The place easily holds 100 people with two large rooms, a basement and outdoor seating. I don't know how you're supposed to be effective with one person making coffee and one person making food. The property is nice but they need to find a way to be much more efficient. Mocha was 7/10.

I give up on this place. It has so much potential. Great seating, indoor and outdoor. It’s cute. But the service! I’ve never successfully made it to the counter to order. I’ve waited 20-30 minutes each time and still not gotten to the counter. It’s baffling how slow the service is. This has to be the slowest coffee shop in Madison. Only go during off hours during the week maybe?

My husband and I attended the matinee 1pm showing of Wicked. I was absolutely blown away! It was everything and more that I could've hoped for! The staff were all super friendly! Many offered their assistance as needed or to assist in guiding people to their area. A really nice staff even offered to take a picture for me of my husband and I which I really appreciate and know is above and beyond! It was easy to navigate despite how large the theater is. They were well organized despite how large of a venue it is. They had an officer walking around for safety. They had themed green and pink lights. Had witch hats floating which was a super fun idea. There were themed drinks and food. They had a large poster board for a photo opportunity and also one of the best opportunities imo was the large window poster outside. We had a really great experience!

We loved having our wedding at the Overture Center! We worked with Mary as our event manager and Haley as the catering coordinator, and both were wonderful. You can tell that the Overture staff are pros at hosting all kinds of events - they had great questions, guidance, and efficiency at every step of the process. We even sprung a few surprises on them the day before/day of and they went out of their way to help us make them successful. We really clicked with Mary in particular and appreciated her thoughtful approach and sense of humor! The space was beautiful - we had our ceremony and cocktail hour in the Upper Lobby (the balcony on the third floor), and reception in the Wisconsin Studio. With 52 guests, these spaces felt perfect - intimate but not cramped. And it was great not to have to worry about weather for our wedding weekend. Overall, a 10/10 experience - would recommend the Overture as an event venue!

My family and I love the Overture Center. There is so much to do and see. They bring in some great shows from around the nation and world. The Madison Symphony Orchestra is amazing, and we see about 4 or 5 shows a year. I would recommend this checking out a show sometime.

The Overture Center is an absolutely stunning venue right in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin. It’s a beautiful space—modern, elegant, and welcoming. I’ve seen some incredible shows there, including major Broadway tours and other top-notch performances. It’s such a gift to have a venue of this caliber in Madison. The acoustics are great, the staff is friendly, and the whole experience—from the moment you walk in to the final curtain—is just top tier. If you’re in town when a show’s playing, don’t miss it.

We loved having our wedding at Overture! It was a stunning and spectacular day and everyone commented on how beautiful and great of a wedding it was and a lot of that was due to Overture. Kelsey and then Allie were our points of contact and they were superb. They were very responsive and answered all of our questions in great detail. The venue is gorgeous with a lot of natural light that makes for great pictures rain or shine and also has clean lines. We had an initial tour and then the walkthrough 1-2 months out. We did the ceremony on Upper Lobby, cocktail hour on Promenade Terrace and Promenade Lobby, and reception in Main lobby. Allie mocked up our floor plans several times to accommodate all of our tweaks, which was so appreciated. Allie worked very well with our wedding coordinator and the caterer. Allie was able to secure a hideaway space for us on the day of. Allie is a very nice person in general! The caterer/Overture handled the welcome sign in the lobby, the bathroom signs, and the signature cocktail signs, which shortened my to do list. Overture even let us into the main concert hall for pictures. I would have appreciated a bit more price transparency from Overture. After Allie suggested it, we requested Overture move the couches from one place to another and we didn’t realize it cost $300. We may not have done that if we had known there was a cost. Overall, we had a wonderful experience before and during the day of our wedding with Overture and would recommend them to anyone!!

A little bit of vertigo up at the top but settled down once the show started. Tad bit warm. Great performances!

Been here multiple times to see shows- ballets, operas, concerts and Broadway. this venu is home to the Madison Ballet, Madison Opera, Madison Symphony Orchestra..and it gets some really fantastic touring productions! It's always an amazing time. There are no bad seats in any of the halls, I think. Parking is right across the street, and easy to access (and get out of.) It's a beautiful building and a really wonderful venue for all sorts of amazing shows.

The only food is pizza, chips, candy bars, & popcorn (complimentary). But you can carry-in or order-in food if you like. Great bar staff. Popular place to watch the games (Packers, Brewers, Badgers).

I am very disappointed with the way I was treated on Halloween night. After giving the server a $20 bill for two Captain and Cokes (totaling $11), I waited for my change. When I asked where it was, I was accused of pocketing $8, even though I received nothing back. I explained that I have a criminal justice degree and have no interest in taking $8, but she dismissed me, saying, “What does that have to do with this?” She later claimed she had given me $8, which not only didn’t happen but also didn’t make sense as the correct change would have been $9. Her attitude was insulting, and I feel humiliated being accused of something so unfounded. While I eventually got the money back, I believe an apology is owed for how poorly this was handled. If cameras are available, I encourage you to review the footage from that night. I don’t appreciate being treated as a thief, and I doubt anyone else would either.

Stopped on for drinks around 4:30 pm on a Friday. Was starting to get busy a little after we arrived. My wife and I were on our way to dinner at a different establishment and we decided to stop in and have an "appetizer" i.e. a pre-drink before our dinner. This place looks cool, and there is seating for approximately 80, a large oval-shaped bar! Nostalgic photos of musicians who no doubt performed at one time or another in the last. The bar itself is old school or "vintage" if you prefer. Has a great vibe in a nice neighborhood, and is close to the bike trail. Not even sure if they serve food, I know they serve music 🤗 The Brandy old fashioned drinks were pricey at $8 dollars per drink...we have had many old fashioned drinks ranging from $5 to $8....from many other establishments, this place was on the higher end.

We have been to the Crystal many many times in then 30 years or so. Great music, fun people, awesome atmosphere. Stopped in to meet. Saw some great photos of bands of rock n roll past. Hey to shannon curfman. Who will be the next up and coming musician to play the crystal.

Cool spot! Great drinks. I went on a Saturday night and they had some live music. I really like the atmosphere. I definitely will be back.

Just stopped in to kill a bit of time on a road trip. Was looking for a cool place in the heart of Madison. It was last call, so perfect timing lol...but the bartenders were amazing and the vibe was super chill. We had so much fun chatting waiting out the downpour... that I forgot it was my birthday as of midnight! So, thank you Sam, and the other bartender and folk. I'd been having a sh!rty day/night...this was a nice break from it all. 100% will stop in again.

When my buddy and I first walked in, we went to the bathroom. The graffiti on the doors was a turn off, and door not locking was another. Thank God I could wash my hands with soap. Then we ordered a drink and the lady was a little rude to us in the beginning, she warmed up towards the end, and it was a turn off because of the college vibe feel and only drinking establishment. There was a guy bar tender whom was very friendly and courteous. I wish we would have been there when there was live music…..

I came here for a Jazz concert, and I had a great time. A very cozy place to have an inmate concert. I would recommend coming early to find parking. There is a couple of parking ramps close by. They did serve drinks you can't take them into the theater. It was only a cash bar. The staff was helpful and nice.

The sound engineers assigned by Union for RSO / ASM music events are incompetent and lack skill. Every live event I like to play this game called audio roulette I plug my instrument in for sound check and trust the sound guy. But will it be audible live ? Or for 20 secs or 4 mins? Nobody knows. I’ve had vocals / instruments not audible in the live mix even after a tech rehearsal with the sound guys. What’s the use of giving out a great performance venue and not caring about the quality of performances? If they don’t know how to operate the mixing console please hold training for people / students you hire.

I like it. I've seen a few good shows in this venue.

I went here for a conference. The theater area was nice, a bit dated and small but it wasn't uncomfortable. The lounge area in the basement is very nice. It was more like a lecture hall without those little flip up desks on the armrests. Words of warning: 1) only use the bathrooms inside the theater. The ones in the hall are disgusting. 2) if you use the downstairs ladies room, the sink closest to the exit spews water and you will get wet. This is as of Aug. 2023

The concert series is absolutely amazing. This is the end of the 2nd year I have been going. I can't wait for this coming year. I've not been disappointed by a single performance and get introduced to some amazing performers I might have never found. The price for season tickets is unbelievably reasonable. The theater itself is alway clean and spotless. I've never seen a glitch with lighting or audio. The resonance in the theater is outstanding. I am hooked.

Wonderful and chill cidery with delicious ciders that go down way too easily, especially when paired with amazing cheese and meat! The vibe is great, the cheese board the best I’ve ever had and the ciders are unique and yummy! Come sit for a flight!

You've never had ciders like these before probably. Semi-dry, ripe and fruit tasting, balanced, and my favorite will be the oak barrel aged. They must stop if you're in the Madison area.

Come with me to an oasis far away from your busy life. Listen to gentle music and enjoy the fine taste of apple ciders or a sangria. Bring your fur baby since they are allowed on the patio. Don’t forget to try the home-made ice cream drizzled in bourbon maple syrup.

My fiancé and I had a great time at the Cider Farm! We each tried a flight of four different ciders so we got to try almost every cider on the menu. Each one was unique and tasty, and the trout dip we got as an appetizer was also delicious. We went on a Sunday afternoon and they had live music the whole time we were there.

This is a hidden gem right next to Brennans! The food was delicious, and the ciders were all pretty tasty. I recommend getting the flight, as it's a pretty good value. The one thing that stood out from the rest was their duck nuggets! We were so intrigued and had to get them. They're slightly pricey (I think it was around $15 for 3), but as a once in a while treat, they were absolutely delightful. If you haven't tried them, you have to at least once!

I stopped in while staying at a nearby hotel. Enjoyed several ciders and a light dinner at the bar. John the owner chatted with me about the farm and the business. The waiter and the chef also checked in during the evening. Ciders were interesting and included a variety of styles. Food was delicious. People were delightful.

Don't be fooled that this establishment is strapped to the side of a grocery store. This is a casual hang-out gem with a blend of indoor/outdoor seating and live jazz was a pleasing experience. There's an abundant choice of ciders from traditional to unique and an enjoyable cheese platter to accompany! Service was a touch slow but in speaking with the owner apparently it was an unexpected rush that hadn't staffed for. I look to assessing that in a future visit.

Beautiful Gardens that is well maintained. Took us over 2 hours to go through the whole thing. I think its all free except one part they want 6$ a head and that's amazingly worth it.

We went to see the re-gilded Thai Pavilion. It was my first time I took the tram ride with its tour introduction to the park, very nice! The Thai Pavilion sparkled in the bright sun, the bonsai accent tree was impressive, and the Gardens beautiful. 💖👏

Loved visiting the garden when my wife and I had time to spare. Spent about 2 hours walking around and enjoying the beautiful gardens. You can really tell they take great care and pride in the planning and maintenance of this garden and its Free! I would definitely recommend for a short afternoon.

The butterfly's and the waterfalls were so pretty, lots of families with small children there. The Gardens are spectacular, they reminded me of the gardens of English Castles I have visited. There are kayaks for sauntering along the Park River. A beautiful and unforgettable experience for all ages with plenty of benches to sit on.

Fabulous botanical garden! Been here before but it was many years ago, so many great things to see and experience fun and educational for all ages. Found out after we were done that they have a tour that you can ride on a mobile cart and they can tell you all about the garden I definitely recommend that.

I love Olbrich Gardens so much. It is such a necessary part of the Madison community. They always engage with such great groups in the area. For Make Music Madison they hosted MACH (Madison Area Concert Handbells) which was such a great time. I always love coming back!

To be expected, very long lines for food & drink on a Friday night right after they fall semester began. We ended up taking our food up the front ( on Langdon ) terrace to get away from the incredibly loud so-called "music". But overall it's a great place. We have had many wonderful times with friends on the terrace.

Had lunch here before the OSU vs UW football game 10/2025. Beautiful weather and colorful leaves made this amazing. Food and lines were reasonable. Plenty of open air patio seating outside overlooking the lake. Really well done for a student union.

It is a really nice lakefront place. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They had several places to buy really good ice cream, brats snack food and beer. The outdoor lighting makes the terrace beautiful at night. My grandkids loved the place, especially the ice cream.

After attending a conference here, I would recommend this location for any type of professional gathering, social event, or reunion. The building was beautiful! The variety of rooms and spaciousness allowed for a full spectrum of presentations and settings and kept us busy all day. It’s surrounded by historic buildings, beautiful views, live music, and tons of restaurants. 10/10 would go again!

Was able to rent a kayak with some friends. There was an event going on so the place was kind of busy. Afterwards we grabbed some food from an outdoor grill that they have on site. Overall it was a fun experience. Would be a nice place to bring people who are visiting from out of town.

Excellent. Always has been and always will be. It’s one of my most favorite places in this country. I got great, friendly service from a little cafe inside off the main hallway. I got a Cubano which was excellent. I went outside on the patio that overlooks the water to people watch. Breath taking!!!!

My now-husband and I hosted a welcome party for about 45 people at the Harmony on February 21st and it was one of the best nights of my entire life. I cannot thank all of the Harmony staff enough for their communication, kindness, and flexibility. They were one of my easiest vendors, requiring a deposit (that got taken off our final bill!) in lieu of a huge contract with food and beverage minimums. The night of, they reserved tables for us in their dining room, we set parameters (we ended up with an open tab for drinks and food but they were willing to work with us throughout our time debating over open vs. cash bar), and we were well on our way. All of the staff were pleasant and gracious and didn't make us feel like an imposition. Our out-of-town guests (mostly from the east coast) were thoroughly charmed by the vibe, local beer, and cheese curds. The space was wonderful for everyone to meet and mingle. I can't stress enough how perfect it was; we had just as much fun the night before the wedding as the night of. I had been to the Harmony a few times for lunch before this but my experience has made me, my family, and friends customers for life. Thank you, thank you, thank you! If you're thinking of hosting a party at the Harmony, consider this a sign to place your deposit.

We used to go to the Harmony all the time pre-covid and have since moved. Went back for the first time in years, and it's even better than we remember! The hot chips and walnut burger are still delectable, it's still the best beers on tap, and the outdoor seating is a wonderful addition!

I got the Harmony Burger and fries. Solid execution and WOW the sauteed onion popped the flavor to the next level. Reliable fries make this a Madison staple. I've heard good things about the walnut burger.

We were in town for a hockey tournament. We ended up at Harmony because our intended spot wasn't open yet. What a fantastic punt. The food was AWESOME. The service was fantastic. If I'm ever back in Madison I will be going back.

Came for a friend’s concert. Was not ID’ed at the door (I’m 20) and was not planning on buying alcohol so I assumed I was good to be there so long as I don’t drink. Several other teens/kids in the crowd. Went to buy a soda, got asked for ID, got kicked out. The lack of transparency made for a pretty disappointing night.

Harmony keeps it simple and gets it right. The Harmony Burger was delicious, the blue cheese sauce hit the spot, and the crispy fries tied it all together. No frills,, just a solid burger at a fair price.

The service was amazing for how busy the place was. We got our order in, drinks, and our food in a fairly short time. The burgers were great and something I would go back for.

The best venue in Madison when it comes to EDM music. Really wonderful staff! There are multiple bars so even when it's really packed you don't have to wait forever to get a drink. Bathrooms are big, I usually don't have to wait to pee or if I do, it's a super short wait so I can get back to the music! The artists that they get are so 🔥🔥 and the local DJs are absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend for a good rave experience! VIP is definitely the move for this venue if you are a sound gremlin tho! Don't expect to hear the best sound at the rail bc you unfortunately won't 😩 They need speakers and subwoofers in the middle of the stage to really round out the sound. If they beefed up their sound and added some lasers they would just be taking *all* my money instead of just *most* of it 🤣 I will also add that I am a sound gremlin and I still super love this venue!

Super cool venue for live electronic music and parties in madison! I’ve been frequenting this venue for around a decade and it’s a great place to catch a show with some national talent that we would otherwise not get the opportunity to see in Madison! They have a lot of security + staff here comparatively to other venues which makes it feel really safe there/no riff raff (not over the top tho, they are all nice) I’ve gone from being a fan, to opening dj, to headlining and throwing my own shows here and Liquid was the first big venue to help give me an opportunity to showcase my talent. They are constantly opening the door to new and upcoming talent and have been instrumental in building both my, and so many other dj’s projects. Really a great place and a cornerstone of the Wisconsin EDM community. Big production, intimate venue (can see everywhere), and VIP is DOPE! Free water, elevated in the center eye level with the dj?! YO! It’s so good. Get vip fr, the vibes are PEAK

A bigger lineup often means more opportunities for diverse musical experiences.

The top venue for an EDM shows. I’ve yet to find a venue with the ability to keep me driving two hours, there in two hours back solo just to experience a show here versus convenience near home! Also a great place to start listening to the banging WI DJs either being support or their smaller dj events!

Had a wonderful time! Friends and I went to see side piece and the staff were all so welcoming making sure we had water and anything else we could need! Definitely a safe environment to rave! 🤩🥰🫶🏼

Some nights are cool and some are just ok. Can you guys work on your sound?! It kind of sucks that opening and supporting acts get crappy sound and then the headliner is turned up. I understand it’s a small venue but it kills the vibe for the night when you can hear people talking in their groups and the djs are playing cool music.

This place ripped me off. I bought event tickets last year for an event that never happened. I’ve been trying to get ahold of someone that works here and sent multiple emails only to get ignored. This place owes me 94$. They also ripped about 15 of my friends off. Be aware! This place will sell you tickets to events and then change the talent to different people after you buy tickets. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years (even got bottle service a bunch of times). They do not care about their customers. I will not be back. I will be opening up a case through the bbb and also filing a complaint with my cc company. I hope you guys eat glass.

Server was okay, a little distant at times. The beer was decent, and so was the food. Unfortunately the mac n cheese was dry, and the kitchen left the chimi churri sauce out of the literal chimi churri bowl.

Food was bland and basic. Not bad, but not good. I had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and my friend had the fried fish tacos, which she did not finish (actually said they were bad). Also did not include very many fries for the side. There are plenty of other American food restaurants at the same price point that are better.

**Updated review We came for lunch, but it wasn't very busy. My friends and I all ordered food, and we were all generally disappointed. I got the nachos and was disappointed by what I got. For $16 (they up-charge $4 for chicken) I got a pile of chips with all the toppings on the top; no layers (pics attached). Those first chips with all the toppings were good, but then it was just a pile of plain chips. I'm not sure if this is how it is supposed to be or of the cook was having an off day. My friends said their food was "fine". Our waitress wasn't the best compared to previous visits, but I imagine she had many tables due to staffing shortages affecting everywhere. I've been here several times, and I'll probably be back at some point, but I'm knocking off a star on this update since I've noticed a downward trend. **Older review I stopped in for lunch and I really enjoyed myself. They have indoor seating and a selection of outdoor seating. They really need more umbrellas or shade for the outdoor seating. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and our food and beer was delicious. They do need to make some modification to their food runners; my meal didn't come out to the table for 5 minutes after the rest of table's food.

I went there for trivia and ordered cheese curds and fish tacos. I enjoyed the cheese curds but I did not enjoy the fish tacos. The fish itself was not seasoned well and the only flavor was the hot sauce they put on. Others said that about their food too, the fitchburger and chicken sandwich. The trivia night part was fun!

Their beer is always excellent but the service was somewhat inattentive. I think they focused too much on the sauces they serve with food as opposed to the actual food itself. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was very bland. The pretzel bites were also dry and they served them with dill dip and the habanero sauce instead of the mustard and cheese from the menu. Cheese curds were good. And the building is very nice and in a good location easy to access by biking or driving. I definitely want to go back and try more menu items but I’d advise passing on the chicken sandwich for something else.

I ordered the fish tacos. Two would be enough don't get 3. They were ok. Not the best. Not sure why. They look better than they were.

Nice Brewery and restaurant. Hop Haus makes a nice selection of beers. They had 15 beers on tap on my stop including a Pils, Italian Pils, a wheat, 2 sour, Hazy, double Hazy, Scotch ale, 2 BBL Scotch, a BBL stout, blonde, honey blonde, IPA, DIPA. Everything I tried was decent. The hazy had more bite than I expected but their scotches were really good. The smash burgers, tacos, and wings were all good. Cheese curds were above average. I will definitely stop back.

I had the Wisconsin Burger and a side of onion rings. The burger was good, though not memorable. The meat was overcooked for my taste. The onion rings were decent, though a little overcooked as well. I would go again. The food was pretty good. The prices were good. The bar was not busy even at 6 pm on a Saturday.

It was a quiet night at the Wisco, but the grill was hot and ready. The barkeep wasn't too talkative but she can grill some burgers. It's been at least a year since I've been to the Wisco. Thank you for the welcome back.

Still one of my favorite dive bars in Wisconsin. Had a pretty good burger this time too. Got to pet a couple of good dogs and was able to enjoy a pair of reasonably priced beers. Glad to see some things have stayed awesome since I left this beautiful town.

Cleaned your bar, took care of the girl, got her home safe… once she’s in a safe environment then you wanted to get involved… Do your job next time… maybe don’t have friends at bar, that you let go shirtless…. Drink too much and you wouldn’t have patrons that get sick. Pathetic… terrible service. Self serving service… Laughable… Hope you don’t have a real incident. Michael Frisque - another business owner. I only ran 2 miles to get a car… before you even checked on her… must’ve been a real interesting friendship conversation.

This little locals joint welcomed us thirsty travellers with open arms and minds. They even invited us to play Final Jepardy for a free drink with them. These locals are young but smart. Full bar with great draft, craft, and bottled beer selection. Outdoor seating too. There is street parking on the main street and down the side.

Great music and really clean. One of my favorite bars.

Garver Events and Star Bound Catering did a superb job as the venue and caterer for our nearly 300 person wedding last weekend. The worked with us as we neared their capacity to make sure everyone had enough space and that we got to the dance floor ASAP. It was seamless to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception in once space. The dinner was the best wedding food I've ever had. They highlighted local ingredients and worked with us to customize our menu. They even made our dream of sourdough bread centerpieces happen. The party that followed was just awesome. Logistics at the end of the night were so easy. 11/10 would get married there again ;P

It was 4th of July. Came to this part of Madison to take a bike trip around Lake Monona. Started at ended at Garvers. The building is a restored feed building, built in 1906. There is a plaque on the outside of the building that gives some of the history. It has a high quality feel to it, and has been well maintained. Inside is a collection of small business, a restaurant, lounge and coffee shop. There are restrooms and seating areas inside and outside. The lower level can be used as an event space for receptions and parties.

I photographed a wedding here in September and it was absolutely stunning! I loved getting creative with the industrial windows and moody lighting! The staff were so kind and helpful, and it was really just such a unique space! 10 out of 10!

We had our wedding at Garver Feed Mill and it was the best decision we could have made!! Having the beverages and catering in house at Garver made everything so smooth! We had the catering team prepare Indian food (a spinach paneer) served family style and it was PHENOMENAL! Danielle and team are incredibly organized and professional. We worked with Staci at Calliope ice cream to serve dessert and Ian's pizza for late food and it was fantastic. Keezieng was super helpful in picking out wines and making custom cocktails for the big day. We would recommend this as a wedding venue to anyone.

Love the Garver Feed Mill, but I am going to review it as a wedding venue under this account. Despite the number of times we had been at Garver, we did not expect to fall in love with it as a wedding venue! The brick façade, tall ceiling with modern chandeliers, the lounge space, Ians! Heck, if you want to leave with a plant at the end of the night, you can do that too. (At least two people bought a plant from the Grow Greenhouse via QR code haha) Garver really has everything you need. Want to make travel easier for you and your guests? You can do both the ceremony and reception at Garver. The staff will room flip for you. The backdrop that IS Garver is wonderful for every picture. The brick and greenery is lovely. We did all of our photos in and around Garver. Even if you don't have a large floral/decoration budget, the venue still looks amazing. There is a hospitality suite in the gallery if you want to get ready there or need space for storage. There is a very long mirror, single stall bathroom, and plenty of seating. Consider bringing additional lighting for makeup. The various coordinators for the event and food/drink (Ashlie and Marilyn primarily) were quite lovely. They were great about answering our questions, making suggestions, and being accommodating. Great, consistent communication. They have reasonable response time in that I usually heard from them within the week. They're great about being a middle person for the vendors they partner with and vendors within Garver such as Event Essentials, Ian's, and Ledger Coffee. Event Essentials and Ledger were included right into our invoice with Garver. Note that Garver is still open to the public, so you will have random people coming in/out the area to go visit the vendors within the building. As a busy bride with 130 guests, I hardly noticed the random folks. Food and drink is included and you are required to use their catering. They can do the usual options of styles such as buffet, family style, plated, etc. Their bread and butter seems to be family style, so we went with that. They will have a discussion with you food you like, food you grew up with, favorite restaurants, etc. From there they will build you multiple menus. You can mix and match them as you please. (See photos for our specific menu). They even included some Filipino-inspo foods. They have multiple packages for drinks. We went with 2 signature cocktails, 3 beers, wines, and NA options. There are higher and lower packages than what we did. Similar scenario where they took suggestions for us and will propose options. You do not get to taste test the food but people LOVED the food and drinks. They can do dessert but you are not required to use them. They have a lot of options including vegan and gluten free. We used them for some vegan cupcakes but used another vendor for everything else. They had dessert platters free to use and they even made labels for the dessert for us. One less thing we had to worry about it! Day of, I do not think I saw any of my coordinators. At least, not knowingly. I take this as a good sign, honestly. I do know they were around because Marilyn (food coordinator) took some shots with the staff at our photobooth! I'm happy that they did. :) I hope they got a copy for themselves. +1 is that they keep a reserve of your signature cocktails. We ran out of the Calcifer quickly, but I was still able to enjoy a few glasses of it myself. I'm sure I'm missing a few lovely things, but I think you get the picture. I loved my wedding at Garver

This place is the bees knees for any day, any hour, any event or if you’re just super bored. Was craving a slice of pizza and a beer tonight so stopped in to find most of the place to myself and a welcome seat at the bar. $13.00 for a slice, a breadstick, and a beer. Just noticed they have brunch on Saturdays. Guess I’ll be coming back soon for a nice espresso from Ledger and brunch at the Lounge. Will report back on Brunch. 👌🏻

The venue is big and beautiful. The interior is crowded and simple. No unique crevices, no inspiring views, the pizza is just okay also, the seating is limited. It's an optical illusion. You would think it would be so deep and interesting on the inside, but its not. Just like the date you had last weekend. Bwam Bwammm 🙃

I truly enjoy this event space in Madison. It’s intimate, personal, and just beautiful to me. I could go on for days about about the patio/smoke deck. But I will just say it’s a nice area to just sit and decompress during an event. The staff here is quite friendly and they can accommodate any event they are given. Definitely a great live music/performance venue for Madison. It’s a true gem!

Our entire party of four found the chairs extremely uncomfortable. We were there for a comedy show, and would have had a better time had we not been in such discomfort. I mean really skinny chairs with almost no padding that are foldable, they feel insubstantial as though they could break, and are virtually guaranteed to numb your butt over the course of a short performance. I really like the venue otherwise and I want to be positive about the review, but the chairs really detracted from our enjoyment. Otherwise very nice staff, pretty venue, parking was a little bit of a challenge but not impossible... Overall a really nice venue if they would just get better chairs... To be clear, until I hear that they get better chairs I won't be returning.

We have been to numerous musical events here over the last couple of years. The venue brings in acts from Canada to Europe. Even though I'm not a huge celtic fan ( the better half is), our last endeavor Skerryvore, a Scottish Celtic rock band played, their own original songs. It was a high-energy act by a group of musicians who had mastered their instruments and skills far longer than they had been together! Just your average neighborhood bar providing, a safe place for the locals, and more looking to have a good time with the other 130 patrons at reasonable pricing! If you love music, then consider the Burr Oaks venue. Get there early as seating can be limited. Especially if it's a dance band!

Be 110% that you are going to keep your booking. We had booked this for my son wedding and they decided not to get married. We are canceling with 8 months in advance and it is costing us over $1,300 and the same amount for the other parents. So they are making over $2,600 on a cancelation and I am sure they will be able to book it again within 8 months. We were on vacation when it was booked, so we did not see the contract. There is no way we would have signed it with that type of cancelation policy. So be 110% sure you are going to keep your party, if not you are going to be out a lot of money.

First time there, and it's quite impressive. I love the layout. Definitely deserves a return visit when I don't have to play a show! What a fantastic venue.

Very cool spot! Intimate experience with low lighting. They have weekly open mics and some great shows daily! I saw Chris Forsyth and the Garcia Peoples. Both rocked!

The older I get the more so appreciate small event locations to listen to live music. The Bur Oak is perfect! Great acoustics in the building! Listened to Skerryvore, out of Scotland, last night! They also can be reserved for private events!

My favorite go-to place at state tournaments. Owners and staff members are always friendly and take great care in promptly serving customers.

Good spot to catch ANY NFL game. Went their to watch the Browns but we also saw Lions, Saints, Cowboys fans there. Nice bar food and drink selection.

The Red Zone on GameDay was the perfect atmosphere to watch the early game while pre-partying for the Badger football game. Drinks were in the expected price range. It was odd that you could readily get into the building, but they were restricting people from getting into the outdoor beer garden. Thinking it was some weird Madison overregulation. All-in-all, a great place to be on game day.

Good Double sided venue. Food was decent, manager was great! Music side is awesome, you get the best Madison has to offer.

Pretty good bar with lots of seating. Selection of alcohol is on par with other bars. They handled our very large group fairly well, but should have had more wait staff working. The lines to get drinks became really long.

Sensational atmosphere in a unique space.Our drinks were served with nice cordial aplomb and the bands were on fire and the Colombian band from New York was particularly good and we are hoping they will come to our Sessions at McPike Park next year which is right around the corner from the club. I have eaten at Robinia and enjoy their food. Had a fine dinner there last night and took a couple of photos of the nee stage setup.

The atmosphere and server were great. In my opinion the dish I got (blackened tofu) was good, but not great, which is why I feel I have to knock down my food rating a bit. The dish had way too much ginger, and while the tofu on its own was good, i felt that the garnishes were overboard. Dessert was great, and they gave complementary non-alcoholic shots as well

Great four course dinner and beer pairing for an extremely reasonable rate in a beautiful environment. I look forward to next month's dinner!

Owner is nice and helpful! I've gone to a few shows there and they are always very clear about consent needing to be respected there. The facilities are clean and had a few women compliment my outfit while in there so the patrons are super friendly. The atmosphere is very chill and welcoming! It's also very inclusive! A fun place to visit while you are in Madison. Catch a burlesque show if you can!

What to expect... Crucible is a nightclub unlike others. They are accepting of good people from many backgrounds. They have many monthly events... from unique themed events (including masquerades), the longest running alt dance night (Leather and Lace), bands, metal shows, unique craft/art shows, burlesque shows, quiet nights, gaming events, and so much more. The atmosphere is great... moody lighting and artwork... including murals. They sell alcohol, non-alcoholic drinks, and THC beverages. Have hardworking bartenders. Smoking patio. They don't serve meals, but do bring in Glass Nickel Pizza that they sell by the slice. When there, make sure you take a bathroom selfie and post it to the Crucible Bathroom Selfies, Facebook group. The only thing they do not have is a tolerance for hate. So don't be a Nazi!

I went here for the first time to see The Soap Girls. It's a really big venue with a lot of things going on in it. It also has a very cool and diverse customer base.

There are many unique events and a wide variety of entertainment possibilities at Crucible that make it a place to go to where maybe you could experience things you wouldn’t find elsewhere in town. My profile picture was taken at Crucible one night.. I have been blessed to be able to become a regular and occasional Go-Go dancer. My review is from my true thoughts and in no way am I paid to or definitely wasn’t asked to give this review by Crucible owners or staff or anyone related to the establishment. I want to get that out of the way. Crucible is something that many other places haven’t achieved. A very popular nightclub and yet a place where it’s easy to become family. Food consists of pizza sold by the slice and various chips and such. It’s great pizza delivered hot and kept hot in heated glass cases from a local pizza shop. By no means should my three stars rating for food be taken negatively towards the bar or the pizza establishment. As I mention in other replies, it’s not a restaurant so if you’re looking for a fine dining experience this isn’t that. It’s more of a place to go dance, party and have an uproarious time. The drinks are poured generously, there’s a variety of beers and ciders on tap. Of course a full bar with tenders who create masterpieces. Try the new THC infused cider. It’s above being LGBTQA+ friendly but not necessarily a “gay bar”. More like an environment where everyone is a community regardless of their labels as long as you are a jerk.

Nice size venue with fun art. Not cheap but not overpriced. Punk and metal friendly. Noticed a bunch of folks commented that they didn't like that the bar was not in the performance hall but I liked it. You could hear the bartender easier when the band is on and get a break for a second if you like. There isn't a door separating the rooms, just a cool artistic archway. There's plenty of seating in both rooms so not sure why that's an issue for people. My only complaint is that they scan your id and keep your info in their database according to the door guy. He said that if they ever have a problem with someone they keep their info on file! Super creepy. I have gray hair so I don't usually get asked for Id but was happy to pull it out until that happened. Makes me think twice about visiting again . Also seems illegal to require that info and store it. What if they get hacked or have a disgruntled employee?!

Went to a concert with a reasonable cover charge. We both felt very safe and it had a very accepting atmosphere to it. Seating is very limited on the floor, but ample in their bar. Fun place to let your inner "Freak Flag Fly", that's means - be comfortable there just being you in any manner you wish.

Someone who called herself a performer but was indistinguishable from the crowd, started a conversation with me from the go-go stand, and when she leaned forward from a pedestal, I unconsciously put two or three fingers on her side out of instincts to keep her from falling. There was not a single sexual or physical thought in my brain. I instinctively did the same thing I would do if my own child was walking along the top of the couch, a protective gesture from my perspective. Suddenly, I was accused of grabbing her ass, which I did not touch at all, and scolded about consent. I apologized immediately and said “didn’t I touch your side?”, just trying to diffuse whatever was suddenly happening. I am demisexual and do not lust after people in public. I have never grabbed anyone’s ass without consent in my entire life. This woman probably just had a problem with me talking to her trans friend. And now an entire bar full of people thinks that I’m capable of grabbing people without consent. I was told to leave, but that I’m not banned. I can’t imagine ever feeling comfortable going in there again. My only objective was to become friends with her friend, and that must’ve been threatening to her.

My wife and I stopped into the Red Rooster on our visit from Delaware. We were looking to try some good cheese curds and good burgers. We were not disappointed! We highly recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner. Most nights they have bands playing as well!

This was a really great place! I can't judge the food because we didn't eat there but we definitely will in the future. To be honest we were a little unsure when we pulled in but gave it a shot anyways and I've very glad we did. The staff and owner were really great! The atmosphere was very calm and welcoming. They have live music 6 days a week, when we're were there it was blues. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for it but we will be back when we can stay longer. The kitchen area was the cleanest I have seen a kitchen in a very long time. I was very impressed, you should check it out!

Great prices, great atmosphere, tasty fryer food, and best of all such fun live music! You can tell this place is owned by musicians. My girlfriend and I travel 40 minutes to come here and look forward to coming back for years to come. One of our favorite dives.

I have found a wonderful secret in Madison. Do not let the outside fool u...inside transports u to blues clubs in Chicago, or Memphis blues clubs... The staff is amazing! The owner is so kind... I will tell all my friends... Very safe.

My friends and I love the Ref Rooster, especially when they have Tall Paul and the Naughty Cats playing!! Red Rooster staff was fun, friendly and fast, and the food was amazing!

Super unhelpful and inefficient process from the dinosaur ages. They don’t tell you what office is the corresponding one on the lease. On top of that they tried to charge me a whole month of rent instead of half a month and I had to correct them (wonder how many suckers paid the full month for August). All their papers are stuff from the ice age and they blame you for not being able to do the forms correctly on their own and you must sit down with a staff member so now I’m stuck with a bunch of worthless furniture in my place blocking me from using my appliances while I wait for them to move it because that process works best for them. Not for me. Just true definition of slum lords. Update: I came in to finalize my forms just for their staff to look through their whole office, sifting through trash and piles of loose papers on their desks. So their super efficient system that I couldn't sign my forms online was actually just wasting 30 minutes of my time just for them to tell me I had to redo my forms. I came back a couple days later and the staff were rude and demeaning. They were blaming me for not bringing new forms and instead expecting that they still had the file I sent because if they told me something was wrong with it, they should be able to show me. Well the thing that was wrong was absolutely nothing. So they made me rewrite what was on the original on a new form, which was practically identical. So I had to come in 3 times for something that really could have been an email and they tried to make me feel like I'm the problem. I genuinely don't know how they keep that ship sailing with such a broken system.

My building is in decent condition, it’s not new but it does what it needs to do. All the appliances work well and the management is very responsive to anything that needs to be fixed. I also like that there’s a fixed water price. Lastly the management team makes great efforts to take care of their residents and do fun events with food etc for them :)

If you are looking for a reliable, caring, and professional apartment rentals in Madison I recommend CHT Apartments 1000%! They are the most compassionate and community-focused apartment agency I have ever known. They truly care about their tenants so much and will go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience in their units. I can speak from personal experience!

Lodged an application for an apartment the day the posting was listed. Spoke to them on the phone and they assured everything was moving properly. Three days later I call and am informed my application was cancelled and that someone else signed for the unit. The man I spoke to on the phone couldn't explain why my application was cancelled or why they didn't let me know -- had I not called -- so I could move forward with another property. Horrible communication and poor business practices.

Lived at a CHT building for 2 years. While it was an older building and so occasionally had its issues, CHT staff was so kind, communicative, and prompt when it came to fixing things. I will miss this apartment, thank you CHT!

My apartment's dryer hasn't worked for months. My roommates and I have called numerous times, and they say they'll "fix it," but they never do. The guy who answers the after-hours calls is rude and has hung up on me on two different occasions.

These good reviews, seldom as they are, are incredibly inaccurate. If only I could rate CHT 0 out of 5 stars... Even that would be too high of a rating. PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW. I have 9 yrs renting experience, always take great care of my apartments, and always maturely communicate problems w/ landlords. I write plenty of good reviews. CHT Apartment Rentals owns an apartment complex called the Parkview Apartments in Madison, WI. My roommate and I shared a 2 bedroom apartment #202 in the Parkview Apartments that is infested with yellow jackets (wasps) and both CHT & Parkview management didn't care less. Keep in mind these are double the size of normal wasps (bodies alone 1" long), are more aggressive than normal wasps, and they don't die after stinging you. Our less-than-helpful landlord Kristi Martiny only pretended to care. Their one pest control person, Mike King, treated our apartment 5 times using the same method every time and it never worked. One instance when I was talking to Kristi over the phone and told her I wanted to talk to a building inspector, she literally hung up on me and started avoiding my phone calls. We contacted CHT apartments and they were even less professional, even less helpful, and even more rude. It is painfully obvious that CHT is just another company that cares about tenants' money and that is it. If you have any sort of problem down the line, you're screwed. The wasps never went away. Not to mention, our apartment wasn't cleaned at all when we moved in. My family and I had to clean the apartment for several hours because the floors were black, the toilet green, and the cupboards were covered in a thick layer of cat hair (and I thought pets weren't allowed??). CHT of course refused to refund us for this. Save yourselves and your money. NEVER RENT FROM CHT APARTMENTS. UPDATE Dec 2016: I got a letter from someone who works with CHT. A direct quote from the letter says they are denying me any refunds because of "your hyperbole". I HAVE been seeing 6+ yellow jackets every week - that is NO hyperbole. Of course, that is so like CHT to pretend a bad situation isn't as bad as it really is. I have a LOT of documentation and pictures to prove that the wasps are no "hyperbole", lol. On top of that, the letter was filled with elementary grammatical errors. Yet again, everyone associated with CHT baffles me with their lack of professionalism and maturity. UPDATE Sept 2017: It took over 8+ weeks to get my security deposit (SD) back from CHT even though they were supposed to get it back to us within a week. Preliminarily, they said "a forwarding address was not provided" even though it was.... Then, over the next 3 weeks, we sent 18 emails back and forth discussing what the problem was. We mutually agreed that it was an error on their end (no duh) and that they would re-send the SD ASAP. Additionally, my roommate emailed them 2 times with the new forwarding address to make sure they got it (since they apparently need a lot of hand-holding and encouragement in order to do a half-assed job). After 3 more weeks, We STILL hadn't received our SD. When I contacted them at this point, they replied that they "hadn't received a forwarding address so our SD was sent back to their main address." My roommate went to the CHT main office 2 weeks later and picked up our SD, and also found the forwarding address was provided with the keys we returned 8 weeks ago... Seriously, if you have ANY sense at all, you will AVOID CHT AT ALL COSTS. Please, for your sake, save yourselves the hassle/stress/anger. I wish someone would have stopped me from renting at CHT. I wish I would have listened to all the negative reviews online. ~~~ I have had wonderful experiences living with Accent Management (small company), Grindstone Management (family owned & operated), and Welch Apartments (family owned & operated) so I urge you to check out ANY of those instead!!!

Great self-serve wine spot, owned by sportscaster Mike Heller and his lovely wife, Kari. Fun and interesting conversationalists! Cool naming play on both the types of wine served and the UW. Good wines, whiskey and light foods available (pepperoni flatbread was tasty). Lovely and comfortable decor. Quaint street corner outdoor seating with warmer weather. I highly recommend this classy lil' venue and will most definitely be returning!

We came for a mini concert and had a good time. The food choices are a bit limited and all were a bit on the salty side. The wine bar technology was a little quirky and had a few hiccups, but eventually worked. The wine was definitely worth the wait.

The Winebar is a really nice place to end a week. We enjoyed live music and a great selection of wine. Plenty of beer and seltzers too. We didn't realize that you could order food. The pizza looked great.

Red & White wine bar is so much more than just a place to get a glass of wine. It's a place to gather with your girlfriends or go on a date night with your hubby. I go every month for book club, and it's hands down my favorite night of the month! The atmosphere is always so inviting and fun, and there's something for everyone! The owners, Mike and Kari, are also two of the kindest people you will ever meet! Definitely recommend!

Dr. Desai and the staff at Eye Contact have been great! I wanted to switch contact brands, and they were patient throughout the whole process, helping me try several different kinds until I found the right ones. Even when I thought some of my concerns were minor, they never dismissed them or pressured me into choosing a pair that would be uncomfortable.

Eye Contact has been my trusted eye care center for fifteen years. The eye exam I received recently was complete and professional. The staff was always helpful and worked well to make my appointment successful.

Super friendly staff and doctors. It was a quick and easy appointment with glasses to pick up within 2 weeks but they were done in 2 days. Smaller collection of frames than other branches. Street parking out front.

Decided to try this place on a whim & was very pleased with how kind everyone was. Front desk staff, technicians and Dr Vanden Boom were wonderful and helpful. They made my first eye exam in several years a pleasant experience. The space itself is well lit, well designed and clean.

Chandler an optician at Eye Contact Isthmus was calm compassionate and able to adjust the titanium bows on my glasses after I stepped on them! I highly recommend her services!

Very trustworthy place! I’ve seen Dr. Makal twice since moving up to Madison and have nothing but great things to say about him and the techs working here. He’s shown repeatedly that he really cares about his patients and getting to the bottom of their issues. I’m very glad that the first eye doc I found in the city ended up being so great :)

A very cool, very modern performance hall. Bummer that they don't have concessions (and don't have any refrigerators, applicable if you're hosting a performance there), but otherwise it's a top tier spot for performances.

I've attended and enjoyed many performances at Hamel, both in the Mead Witter Foundation Concert Hall and the smaller Collins Recital Hall. Being right on University Avenue, I was worried about noise but the music center is remarkably sound insulated. Mead Witter is filled with circles upon circles, while Collins reminds me of being outside with wood everywhere. The center is a great addition to the performance halls in the Mosse Humanities Bldg and the beautiful but small Music Hall.

Accessibility is a huge issue at this venue. There are 3 handicap spots not incredibly close to the entrance front and ubers and lyfts park in the spots. Even the nearest parking garage is not close and costs $10 for an hour and $1 every 15 min. Getting to the center is incredibly confusing, as all driving is in Madison.

Really comfortable theater space with an open and inviting atrium. Nicely large but well designed spaces that feel intimate and seem flexible for different events. Cushy seats with a tasteful flare of gold.

It is a beautiful, simple and functional well designed concept for music concert. You can enjoy your play from any seat you choose. The acoustic is also excellent. It has a balcony where you can have a wider view. I go there when the UW symphony orchestra has a concert. But you can see the chronogram here: https://music.wisc.edu/

My daughter had her precollege music camp performances there. It was easy to find we enjoyed the little shops nearby and just had a great time.
