The Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, established in 1944, is a significant World War II museum with 24 exhibit halls housed in an iconic building. It is located in central Minsk and holds national importance. The museum showcases the rich history of Belarus and features an impressive collection of art and cultural artifacts related to the war.
One of the highlights of Minsk. Great museum detailing the great patriotic war in the 1940's. War is bad but sadly nobody remembers it. Those who forget history are condemned to repeat the past.

Must-visit place in Minsk! Unfortunately, there’s no information available in English, so you have to rely on a visual translation app, which somewhat ruins the experience. The park around the museum is beautiful - on a sunny day.
Manuela M — Google review
10/10!!! Love this museum, almost everything in English so you can easily understand the historical context. You are transported to scenes of the 2WW through tanks, artillery and mannequins that are super realistic. You should definitely visit! The hall with the names of the heroes is incredible beautiful with stained glasses. A huge congratulations to everyone that put together this incredible museum.
Taiani S — Google review
The Museum of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk is impressive, well-maintained, and rich in historical content. It offers a comprehensive overview of the Soviet Union's—and especially Belarus’s—role during World War II. The exhibits are well-organized, with authentic artifacts, photographs, weapons, vehicles, and immersive reconstructions. The modern and multimedia setup makes the visit engaging even for those who aren’t history enthusiasts. It’s a place that moves you and makes you reflect, essential for understanding the country’s historical memory. Highly recommended
BiPolar J — Google review
Exposition is quite interesting however the stuff is closing museum at 18:30 not at 19 so I lost 30 min from of my sightseeing. Workers are not friendly looks like they don't like visitors.
Robert P — Google review
A school parade was on close by, the patriotic music loud and the flags, held by each of the school kids, fluttering in the wind. A lovely backdrop on an excellent museum. The museum is new and expansive that takes the tourist through Belarus in the Second World War. There is everything from dioramas to weapons and even a few tanks. All material is in English and very extensive at that. The addition of an exhibit about “the raping of nanjing”, the Japanese army’s cruelty inflicted on the Japanese was brutal and fascinating.
David C — Google review
Amazing museum, so many stories and so many items. My eyes were watering. It really captures the struggle and sacrifice of the people of former Soviet Union against the Nazis, and why their descendants will never forget or put up with nazism ever again.
Spyros F — Google review
Dramatic but at the same time cool museum to visit. Such a must for kids and the young. Photos and videos are allowed though no one speaks English or even smiles a bit 🤔not very helpful staff

Public library
The National Library of Republic of Belarus is a modern and uniquely designed library with a large collection of books. The building stands at over 73 meters high and has the shape of a rhombocuboctahedron, making it an impressive sight to behold. Visitors can take a panoramic elevator to one of the best observation platforms, where they can use binoculars with 30x magnification to view distant objects.
Although far from the city center, the library is an easy ride on the metro (even for someone who speaks no Belarusian, like me). It’s completely worth it, as around the back of the library you can pay to go up to the 35th floor to see the surrounding view of the city. Beautiful!!!
Alaina R — Google review
Very nice and beautiful place, recommend to visit to everyone who visits Minsk.
Nadia B — Google review
I would said nothing about place where is the library located . Because there is metro station just few hundred metres out. I wouldn't said nothing about how massive is the building . Because it's really big but looking nice ... Good luck !!
Serg P — Google review
Amazing visit to a cheap price. Great view of the city on a sunny Minsk day is incredible. Highly recommend

An icon of the city of Minsk! A must for all tourists, go to the 23 floor for the view.
Adam K — Google review
Famous and biggest library in Bilarussia. We visit it today 28th/08/2019 very nice place.
Drhazim G — Google review
The observation deck entrance is at the back side of the building. Paid some fee, climbed the lift. The deck is overlooking the city of Minsk. Very beautiful view from here. There's a cafe and rooms for art exhibition. At night, we waited to see the light spectacle. Beautiful illumination. It's worth the wait.
Keluarga P — Google review
I'll just make comments on the observation deck. It's one of the tallest buildings in Minsk, but you probably seen taller. Anyway, the main problem is, the deck is surrounded with dirty and imperfect glasses which distort the vision. It doesn't make any sense since the only purpose of this place is presenting a good view. Also binoculars are very old and not giving a clear view. If you're planing to drop by, you better keep your expectations low.

The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre in Minsk is an elegant and iconic 1930s theater that hosts ballet, opera, and classical music events. It also offers guided tours for visitors to explore its rich history. This historic landmark is a must-visit attraction in Minsk, allowing tourists to immerse themselves in the country's cultural heritage. The theatre is located within walking distance of the Palace of the Republic, making it easily accessible for visitors exploring the city.
Went to see "The Grey Legend" with my wife. Was surprised that there were subtitles in Russian and English, which was absolutely fabulous. I'm no theater/opera expert, but this was the first time I've see light projections during a play- awesome. The acting and singing was superb. After the performance ovations took about 5 to 7 minutes. Everybody loved it, so did I.
Mantas N — Google review
Beautiful building and no queues during the break for coffee. It was smelling like toilet next to our seats and we had to be reseated somewhere else

The Opera Building is amazing! I loved the awesome chandeliers everywhere and the marble. The play of swan lake was also absolutely impressive. I’m very grateful that I could be there!

The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus in Minsk is a striking architectural landmark and a cultural treasure. Its grand, neoclassical design and elegant fountains set the stage for world-class performances of opera and ballet. Inside, the acoustics and artistry rival Europe’s finest theaters. Whether attending a show or simply admiring the building, visitors experience the sophistication and creative spirit that define Belarusian performing arts.
Dani B — Google review
This is the place that you must go if you travel in Minsk. Awesome architecture both inside and outside with European cultural and luxury style. "Swan Lake" show was great and impressive.

Very small [in its sizes - both inside and outside] for such a significant and culturally important place. But there are very beautiful interiors and facade. It is also the single opera&ballet theatre in Belarus...

It was simply great! We had seats in the balcony zone, but the view was nice, the seats themselves were comfortable. The performance, and we attended a ballet performance, was fantastic, with bright costumes and good choreography.

The Belarusian National Arts Museum is housed in a classical-style building and showcases an extensive collection of over 30,000 artworks, making it the largest museum in the country. Established in 1939, the museum's original collection was lost during the Great Patriotic War, with much of it still missing. The current collection primarily consists of donations from Russian museums and private collectors, along with some recovered artworks.
Loved the museum - it has fantastic collection of Belarusian and Russian art that covers different periods in history, large number of work was pillaged during WWII and now returned to the collection. I visited museum around Christmas time and had the opportunity to listen to a Choir Concert that was wonderful. Overall great museum, chance to discover lots of new interesting artists. My only complain is the lighting, it really needs adjustment as it leaves glare on the pictures making it harder to see the details.
Natalia O — Google review
Fantastic permanent collection spanning across many centuries. Highly recommend visiting when in Minsk. On par with a lot of European art museums.
Tanya B — Google review
Great museum in a lovely palace. Lots of paintings and soviet art from the most talented artists such as Shishkin and Alvazovsky. There are also works from european artists. Really a good experience.
Maximiliano S — Google review
A wonderful place to go to see some current exhibits. When I went, they had a new exhibit on the color red and how it relates to the Belarusian people. I found it interesting and the descriptions were well written. I have been several times and will continue to go back when they implement more exhibits as the rest of the museum doesn't change.
Dylan F — Google review
It wasn’t the food that inspired me on this short trip to Minsk, it was the artworks of one 19th century landscape painter, Ivan Aivazovsky. His piece “Night at Rodos Island” is sublime. The art works in this large gallery are expansive in period range and scale. There was an exhibit on horses and horse related art works that I found fascinating.
David C — Google review
Amazing collection of art, however the presentation and the lighting are horrible. Missing professional touch. Also, offers no discounts to kids and seniors. No elevator to the second floor.
Natasha L — Google review
Unfortunately big part of museum was closed for reconstruction when visited this place. But I still loved everything I saw and recommend everyone to visit this museum. I honestly can't wait to come back and still whole place. Entrance fee is only 6rubles which is approximately $3
Ryo C — Google review
Compared to similar museums in other countries this is not a very big one, but it holds an excellent exhibition (mostly of paintings and some sculptures) by some great artists. The entry costs only 6byn, so there is no reason of thinking it too much. It really worths a visit.

Nature & Parks
Victory Park is a sprawling 200-hectare green oasis nestled along the banks of Komsomolskoye Lake, making it the largest park in Minsk. This stunning locale features an impressive array of activities, from running and cycling to boating on the serene waters. One of its standout attractions is the Fountain of Sails, renowned as the highest and most powerful fountain in Minsk; on sunny days, you might even catch a glimpse of rainbows dancing in its mist.
Absolutely loved this park! Firstly so huge you could get lost. It has something for everyone! Young and old. Play areas for kids, beautiful grounds, the river winding through the middle of the park was just the best thing. So perfect for runs.. for an added experience a morning run with the sun rising and the birds chirping just melts away the stress away. Quiet forrest area for dog walkers, fountains, views, nice tracks for bicycles, scooters and even a Segway, scooter and moped rental. There’s food and an ice cream booth with snacks. It was my favourite place to go to in Minsk

Great park on the embankment of river Svislach. Actually it is a dense forest which makes you feel like being miles away from a big city. If you are looking for activities or shops, you won't find many. But if you want to walk and relax, this is the ideal place! It worths a visit!

Minsk City Hall, situated in the heart of Belarus' capital, is a must-see attraction showcasing the city's rich history and architectural splendor. This neoclassical building, constructed in the late 19th century, stands as a symbol of Minsk's proud heritage. Visitors can admire its grand facade and elegant columns. The area around it offers various attractions such as the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Freedom Square with the City Hall, Church of St. Joseph, and several museums.
In 1499 Minsk received the right for self-government, e.g. creation of local council, elections of the mayor. And city hall is a symbol of these rights. The original building was exploded in 19th century. However, was renovated in 2003. Nowadays no governmental bodies are located there. Instead, there is a small gallery, museum and a conference hall. In the park nearby you can purchase some souvenirs.

Nestled on the edge of Svobody Square, the Holy Spirit Cathedral stands as a testament to Minsk's rich history and architectural beauty. Originally built between 1642 and 1687 as a Roman Catholic monastery for the Bernardine Order, this stunning Eastern Orthodox Baroque cathedral has weathered centuries of conflict and neglect. In 1860, it was consecrated to Saints Cyril and Methodius after being handed over to Russian Orthodoxy.

Olivier B — Google review
(Translated by Google) The Church of the Holy Spirit is a former Greek Catholic (Uniate) monastery complex, a monument of Renaissance architecture. Founded in 1616 and included a church, a residential monastery complex and outbuildings. On April 15, 2009, a group of Minsk Greek Catholics asked for permission to rebuild this shrine of the Uniate church, the appeal was signed by Doctor of Historical Sciences Anatoly Gritskevich, Doctor of Theology Irina Dubenetskaya, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Yuri Khodyko, writer Vladimir Orlov, poetess Galina Dubenetskaya, archaeologist Edward Zaikovsky, historian Anatoly Sidorevich. The believers explained their request by the fact that as of 2009, there were four Greek Catholic parishes in Minsk, but none of them had their own church. However, they were refused. There is an opinion that the refusal is explained by the existence of an unwritten rule in Belarus: without the consent of the leading bishop of the Moscow Patriarchate, the authorities cannot give representatives of another confession consent to build a church on the territory of a given diocese. I give it 4☆ because of the reluctance to return the shrine to the Uniate Church.

I took off the star because when worshiping at the shrine, no distancing measures or treatment of the shrine site are observed. Many people kissed the shrine and yet no one ever wiped it. This is how infections spread. By the way, prices in the cathedral are lower than in churches in the Gomel region. And no one will say anything if suddenly you don’t have money for something. They will do it for free. Poor animals. They looked very depressed. Their environment feels like a prison. This place should reconstruct their cages because this is inhumane and cruel. People who support such places should be ashamed of themselves…

(Translated by Google) The impression from visiting the zoo is pleasant. The last time I visited this zoo was about 4 years ago, since then the conditions have changed for the better. Also the variety of animals, reptiles, birds is very good. The animals look well-groomed and clean, but since my visit to the zoo fell during molting season, some of the animals look funny with their fur sticking out. I would like to note that this is absolutely normal for animals with fur and this is not bad care!! Only parrots don’t look very good from the outside; they have bald spots in their plumage. The territory of the zoo is expanding, and I think that even more animals will appear soon. I would also like to add that in the zoo there are disabled animals, for example, a fox and a puma without one paw, a lioness with chronic dermatitis, and, in my opinion, this is a very good opportunity to show a child that there is nothing “strange” about this. Also, you can support the zoo by purchasing one of the lizards that they breed or simply with money, and this shows that the workers don’t care about the animals living in the zoo. All the animals always have food and water, and none of them looks unhappy. Families with children will enjoy the Minsk Zoo; there are no places in the park where a child could accidentally get hurt or fall into the water. In general, after the renovation the zoo began to look much better, and the animals are not kept in one enclosure in huge flocks. Also the information signs are very useful and informative. And in the park itself there are recreation areas, a playground, attractions and food stalls, so you can easily walk here all day. And I also want to note that there is no unpleasant odor from animals!!

(Translated by Google) The animals are well kept, many of them clearly enjoy interacting with visitors. There are also cats that roam freely and let you pet them. The zoo itself is very beautifully decorated, everything is clean, there is no stench anywhere, and it is easy to navigate. I saw some animals for the first time - for example, I had never heard of the Hamburg chicken. Small but nice museum with a few interesting pieces that is worth having a look at

This museum has a lot of great exhibits. We went when they had a lot of old books on display, including the first printing of the Belarusian Bible. I especially loved the traditional clothing and money exhibits.

Untidy but cozy place. Looks like a large house more than a museum.
Mehmet D — Google review
The museum was rather disappointing. While it has a lot of great artifacts on display, the curation of the exhibits could be improved. A self-guided tour would have been difficult had I already not known anything about Belarusian history. The museum staff was unhelpful, and some of them were outright rude to our family. The museum currently has an exhibit with a virtual reality component, but the staff almost religiously trys to keep you from using the VR gear, I guess to keep you from breaking it. Then as we waiting for a scheduled activity for children to start (which did not start on time), our kids got a bit rowdy, but not out of control (what do you expect from kids when they get impatient). One of the staff members came and told them to "stop running and breaking everything." We promptly left. Maybe on other days there are more friendly staff members on hand, but based on our experience, I would say that a visit to this museum is not worth the money it costs, and that it is not a place to take the family.

Minsk Arena is a popular attraction in Minsk, offering various entertainment options. Visitors can rent bikes and enjoy the scenic views of Victory Park on their way to the arena, passing by the Center of Tennis and Falcon Club. The arena provides amenities for a comfortable rest after events, including a spa center with a 20-meter pool, hamam, jacuzzi, massage services, and other beauty and physiotherapy treatments.
I really like this stadium. It is modern and confortable. I have enjoyed here a week for ISU Figure Skating European Championships and the arena really was good for it. It has fast food places inside so you don't need to go outside. The only thing I would recommend is to book your tickets on the first floor. The second floor is too high. Public transport is very good with buses very often. Number 1 takes you to the city centre

Went for the Leningrad concert in DEC 2017. Meh, room to improve here. Somewhat aggressive staff, not many food options, NO drink options apart from beer and coffee. Strange sound and acoustics. Definitely could be better.

Modern sport stadium. Covered hall. + Modern architecture + Functional hall - Public transport only bus and taxi, no metro station nearby. - Spacious environment, satellite city, Few restaurants only in Arena City.
Frank S — Google review
The arena is comfortable, everything is perfectly visible from any tribune. There is no sense in taking expensive places. Even on the balcony side, everything is perfectly visible. It is rather difficult to find your sector, but for this there are stewards who will tell. Always at the entrance of the queue, the security checks are tight enough.
Augusto P — Google review
Well designed stadium. I’ve been here dozen of times and never had a single problem with neither navigation nor organisation
Andrei S — Google review
Huge hockey stadium with a great atmosphere. Fun events during breaks between periods. There is enough room in the rest of the arena and other logistics are well handled. E tickets got scanned like you would expect but better be sure and print it. Mostly tractor commercials which is.... Typical. Seating is small but comfortable enough. Soldiers can be quite good at just blocking your view in front row though. After game it takes rather long to leave since there is quite a bottleneck at parking.

The Cat Museum in Minsk, Belarus is a unique feline-themed attraction that offers visitors the chance to interact with resident cats while exploring various cat artifacts and art displays. Despite its name, it's not a traditional museum with exhibitions but rather a space where visitors can spend time with the cats, play games, and even draw pictures of them. The museum also features a cat cafe where guests can enjoy tea in the company of their feline hosts.
Cute place that is a must for cat lovers. It is 9 for entry and you can pay with card or cash; this also gives you free cup of tea or coffee.
Robert C — Google review
Went here with my sister on a tuesday. The owner is very nice and speaks english very well so it's tourist accessible. The entrance fee is only 15 рублей(approx. <5 euro) and it comes with free tea and water. The place is on the 3rd floot of an apartment next to a few cafès which makes it a perfect place to visit even if for as little as 20 minutes on the go. The cats are all healthy, well maintained and not aggressive, they told us that they are rescued feral cats, you can adopt them if you want to. The place is very well decorated and well maintained too, there is not as much smell as we anticipated at all. The space is not very big, but it's cozy, there's an area dedicated to making drawings for kids. There's also Johnny (a small dog). Overall a nice place to visit, will visit again if i ever come back to Belarus.

Rather disappointing experience, especially for the high price you have to pay. I expected higher standards, and better overall cleanliness. There's always a long line at the water slides and I don't think it's that spectacular. The bathhouse is quite small and disappointing, there's only one pool with lukewarm water and a few saunas. I paid 110 rubles for 4 hours, I would've rather spent that money on anything else literally. I think the overall rating of this place is misleading.

The water park was clean and had many water slides. The park has an indoor part and outdoor part . The indoor part has heaters and is huge and has around 8 slides and many pools , spa , jacuzzi, restaurant, toilets , surfing area . The indoor water slides were not much fun for me because they were to safe to be scared. The outdoor water slides seem to be better because they are very fast. However the outdoor part of the park is open only when the weather is above 25*c which is a rare thing to happen in minsk

Came here twice only for their saunas. There are 7 saunas, an ice-cold water tub, and a small pool to lounge in. It's a fantastic place to spend about an hour or so in. Although they have 7 saunas, I would say only 2 of them are to my liking (the extremely hot wet sauna, and the hot dry sauna), along with the ice-cold water tub.

Visitors can explore ancient brewing equipment and modern facilities during the tour. Additionally, they can enjoy unfiltered beer at a nearby restaurant recommended for its exceptional quality.
Very nice and interesting tour. I would recommend it when visiting Minsk. Try unfiltered beer in a restaurant next to the museum. One of the best in the world.

I wouldn’t recommend for international/non-Russian speaking visitors unless you are in a big group (apparently), otherwise you’re walking around the place without really understanding what’s going on. Two stars for the beer that is included at the end of the excursion, but only one type and no real “tasting” and comparing experience.
Tim T — Google review
Not a good experience of the beers of this famous brewery. We were offered a sweetish lager and then an even sweeter raspberry beer licensed from Kronenbourg. If I did want to drink a sweet beer I wouldn't even do that in France. Why not give a small volume selection of 6 or 7 beers of the best this brewery has to offer based on Belarusian beers? And you can't even buy the beers. Why not have a special edition beer to buy at the excursion? Also no snacks were offered not even for purchase. Just seems like they are not trying. Could be far better. At 30 roubles very expensive for what was on offer.

Nice place, must visit. The show is amazing, brings tons of positive emotions both to edults and kids. Nice compilation of music, touching words about dolphins (the show is in Russian of course) and great skilled animals make the show unforgettable. By the end of the performance my son had a headache and was closing his ears.

Please dont be stupid and arrive 40..30min before show begins. Parking is free and huge. Have fun

Amazing dolphin and seal show. The soviet looking building and the way they try to squeeze more money out of you when the show is about to start make you feel a bit sad. But once they get the show going it is amazing from start to finish. The animals look cute and know many tricks. Even combined ones where the animals work together which I have never seen before. The more impressive letting dolphins propel humans forward trick is more known. Since the building is rather small you sit really close to the animals. And they even walk around with the seals so if you decide to extend your arm you could even touch them (even though you are not allowed obviously). Just watch out in winter since sitting in the front two rows will get you soaked. Absolutely amazing value compared to other dolfinariums I've seen.

Amazing place. Very spiritual. Sister doing a lot to help poor and sick people. The monastery with churches are amazing, very beautiful with outstanding icons and mosaics.

I love this place. Place of Prayer, Love and work. So many talented people are connected with Love to Lord and work in worshops. This place is spiritually very strong. Liturgies are long and special, because it's Convent. You come here to answer all the questions that have been bothering you for a long time. Many priests are there to help. If you are far away from this place, please visit the blog.obitel-minsk.com and catalog.obitel-minsk.com to read news, reflections, products of handiwork. See the beauty and power of prayer, of being close to God.

I was interested in visiting. Only one person spoke a little English. Basically not set up in the international language. Belarus as a whole does not appear interested in tourism. No international language signage in majority of public areas.

This is not a museum. It is a collection of black and white photos on the third floor of a building, not one of which is captioned or explained. Somebody has dumped in front of the photos some pieces of paper with inscriptions in Russian which may or may not be explanations of the photos. It costs 3.5 Belarusian roubles to discover this.

Paid a fee for myself, free for my child up to 4 years old! They started to heat things up from the start! I don’t know the name of this person (dark short hair with bulging eyes and a shapeless body) Demanded a birth certificate or passport! Well, I thought, okay, it’s not written on the child’s face and the sign with numbers didn’t light up! Step aside! Ask my wife to send a photo of the certificate! We came again, another family with the same problem was standing in front of us, they were also indignant. We walked in, settled in. We waited… I’m watching this….words fail me, she’s seating Here comes the culmination of her fuss By the way, half of the seats are free, but they sit, who, where, it’s convenient for them! These are children!!!!! Here comes a family! And my view coincides with hers))) I think there will be a performance now!!! He comes up and says: Take the child in your arms, there are not enough seats! Me: there are half the seats in the hall, why should my child sit in discomfort? There are no questions against the family! She: there are no seats, you haven’t paid for the child, take him in your arms! My volcano began to wake up!!!! I realized that if I don’t leave, then my helmet visor will fall and I will ……. Taking the child by the hand, I left!!! I felt awkward only in front of the child, because I promised a miracle and a cartoon! The place is wonderful, the atmosphere is like in childhood But, this person ruined the pleasant time with the child If they remove her from this place! Then everything will be wonderful! It would be a mixed review based on feelings and emotions and real facts about this amusement park. First, it’s a very old vista point and amusement park, built far in USSR times, that’s why it can look and feel outdated and like it needs to be renovated. It’s true, but... it can make you feel as a small boy or girl and remember when you visited such parks long time ago (I mean people who are 30+ old :)). It has great park of trees and plants and you can just walk and relax, it’s not a place to try modern roller coasters but it’s a place just to relax without any obligations :)

Dreamland Amusement Park is a large, fun water park spread over a large area. The water park has several rides, slides, and wave pools, as well as a wave machine. Life guards are always on duty to make you feel safe.
(Translated by Google) I gave this rating to the former “Dreamland”, which I knew 6-7 years ago. And I think that it makes sense to rate only that “Dreamland”. People who are all indignant and indignant in reviews have not realized that they are simply shaking the air, because no one will respond to your reviews. The water park does not have an owner as such. Therefore, I recommend that everyone who is dissatisfied and interested familiarize themselves with the history and current situation of the water park, and only then pick up the phone with a grudge in their hearts. (Translated by Google) Everything is rickety, rusty and dirty, only 2 of the children's slides work, the adults don't work at all. The only pools that worked were the wave pool, which you couldn’t get into without a bun, and the children’s pool. The water in the pool is hot and apparently not cleaned. the water is muddy, the prices in the stalls (you can’t call it a food court) are crazy. The general impression is that they don’t clean or fix anything at all.

(Translated by Google) Worst aquazone I've ever encountered. Everything is dead, abandoned, broken. The name water park is too strong for this puddle, none of the adult slides are working, and of all the pools only 1 wave is functioning (swimming there is unrealistic due to the number of people). Last year, at least there was a lazy river here, so at least there was some point in going here. In general - a complete bottom, I highly do not recommend it. P.s. In the current situation, the new Dreamland feature is very useful - the ability to return a ticket within 30 minutes if you don’t like it. For this we can give 1 star.

It’s not clear why you should pay money if the administration does not care about the comfort of visitors? We definitely need to look for other vacation spots. Great staff and overall a great place to have fun. You can also have a good time celebrating both your child’s and your own birthday, and it’s just not a bad idea to have a blast. (Translated by Google) We celebrated our son's birthday at this center. There are some disadvantages, such as steps without a ramp (you will have to pull the stroller up two large flights of stairs), but there are more advantages. Original script, good menu. The children ran around and ate their fill. Yes, and dads remembered their youth))) (Original) Nestled in the heart of Minsk, the Mini Museum is a delightful gem that invites visitors to delve into Belarusian history and culture through its stunning miniature replicas. This interactive museum showcases 19 intricately designed models of iconic castles, cathedrals, and palaces, each accompanied by an engaging audio guide available in English. The experience is enhanced with moving elements and captivating light displays that bring these historical sites to life.
This is a wonderful museum in the center of Minsk. Upon entrance we were greeted with friendly staff. The entrance tickets are affordable and have discounts for teenagers and pensioners. Audiobooks were provided in multiple languages including English. Overall the museum has 22 exhibits and takes about 1h 15m to view. This was an amazing experience and I strongly recommend for others to pass by!

Found it on internet and was bit sceptical. But nice to see many landmarks which are also far from Minsk on one place. Also the possibilty of VR to see them is not common. Big thumbs up also for staff. They were very helpful and nice

Yesterday, 30/05/2025, I had the pleasure of exploring Museum Strana Mini in Minsk—a true gem showcasing the rich history and architectural beauty of Belarus in miniature. Every detail, every exhibit reflects the passion and dedication of the talented creators behind this masterpiece. A huge thank you to the team for their incredible work in preserving and presenting Belarusian heritage in such a captivating way! If you're ever in Minsk, this is a must-visit!
Gheith N — Google review
Great place for tourists. One can see miniatures some of the main sights of Belarus. An audio guide will tell you about all of them. I strongly recommend visiting the museum. It will be interesting to children and grownups as well. By the way some maquettes have figured of fairytale or movie characters🧚‍♀️ There is also a VR helmet where you can look at sights in their current state (but I felt a bit dizzy after it).
Elizaveta C — Google review
A waste of money. The exhibition is very small, with few items on display, and their quality is extremely poor — it felt like little care or effort went into their creation. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing experiences I had in Belarus.
Andrej B — Google review
I really enjoyed going to see the museum on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't too busy and I got to spend a lot of time looking at the really detailed models (19 total). The models themselves are so intricate and they move and have a light show. An audio guide available in English is included in the price of the ticket and it's super cool to see and learn about sites that you can later see in person. Also the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

The Belarusian State Museum of Rural Architecture and Life is an open-air ethnographic museum that showcases reconstructed rural homes, traditional crafts, and costumes. Divided into three areas representing historical regions of Belarus, the museum features typical late 19th-century settlements with well-preserved interiors, household items, agricultural tools, and handicrafts. It aims to connect visitors to the country's rural roots and heritage despite modern advancements.
This is a really amazing place for locals and foreigners to go to. I was able to better understand rural Belarus better. I enjoyed that the museum was pretty much self guided. I was able to see a lot of variety in architecture, crafts, tools, etc. I can't recommend this place enough to people.
Dylan F — Google review
It is located out of Minsk, but you can go by Uber from Malinovka metro station (the last one on the blue line) and it's going to cost you around 6 roubles. The only issue if you go by Uber, is that on the way back you cannot order an Uber, because you can only order Uber in Minsk. Anyway, there is a bus station nearby that you can use to get back to the city. The museum is very interesting, it's like an old town and you can enter every house and explore how people many years ago live. I recommend it as a family trip on a beautiful weekend day.
Fabio G — Google review
Its a bit away from the city and few buses go there (totally doable but might have to wait a while till the bus comes). The place is beautiful and much to see. Its not a loop walk so it takes couple hrs to walk all the way to the end, and come back to the entrance. Bring water and stacks so you can take a break in between ;) Condition of buildings and houses were very good!
Hitomi N — Google review
One of the greatest places in Belarus if you want to dive deeper into a local culture. There are a lot of festivals and exhibition s in summer. Recommended to visit.
Michael S — Google review
The entrance is quite expensive, for a museum. But there are a lot of activities inside. All the houses and household items that you will see are authentic, all saved from a time long ago. The museum workers/curators offer a comprehensive experience by dressing up in costumes from centuries ago, telling stories and also sometimes carrying out local traditions (particularly on old pagan holidays) These people also tend to the gardens and fields there. You will find a couple of churches with unique depictions and artifacts. Overall, a day well spent.

Loshitsa Park has traces from all periods of landscape art of the history of Belarus. There are more than 36 thousand trees, 16,000 shrubs, ruins that are more valuable than any modernity. Of course, it's a LARGEEEE park, but it's nothing to do there for long time if you're not a sportsman, You can take a walk around though it will take you max 2 hours as in my case. But during these two hours you will receive a portion of relaxation.

The House Museum of First Congress of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party is a small wooden cottage located in Minsk, with historical significance dating back to 1898. This museum marks the spot where delegates from various revolutionary Socialist organizations gathered with the aim of unifying under one party, ultimately contributing to the downfall of the Russian Empire. Despite most participants being swiftly arrested and the party being formed much later, this congress held great historical importance.

Decent ice for skating. Plenty of staff to help if needed. Mediocre rental skates, and the coming and going in the lockers is made very difficult because they let the next group in while the previous group is still trying to leave. Not even close to enough places to sit and change in or out of your ice skates. Still a very good facility in general.
Todd G — Google review
Not so good as it could be because we are not able to practice (as a beginner) or train your skating skills on the "big" arena (mass skating) in the center. We can practice as a child with its parents but it is not allowed for adults... (notified by instructor) So If you're a beginner and not a child, you'll have to snuggle up to the border. I find it silly. Not sure I will get back to the big arena

Twice, in the middle and at the end of the 19th century, the former Church of the Holy Spirit, an original Renaissance monument with Gothic elements, was rebuilt in the pseudo-Russian style, which was a typical manifestation of architectural retrospectivism for that period. Now it is a concert hall. (Original) У 1795 г. I had no idea how full his life was. I walked through all the rooms very quickly, but the experience was still impressive. I highly recommend booking a tour in advance. You can also buy an audio guide at the entrance for five rubles, but a live guide will tell you everything in more detail. Nestled in the heart of Belarus, the Museum of Nature and Ecology offers a captivating glimpse into the country's rich natural heritage. This educational haven showcases an array of exhibits that delve into local flora and fauna, geology, and environmental conservation efforts. With five distinct halls dedicated to various aspects of nature—from seasonal changes in wildlife to rare species—visitors can immerse themselves in interactive displays that make learning about ecology both fun and engaging.

(Translated by Google) We went on an excursion with children (9th grade). The tour through all the halls lasted 20 minutes. The guide, very dissatisfied with life, with a royal arrogance and the intonations of a professional housing and communal services employee, first tried to “involve” the children in a dialogue, but when she realized that no one would talk to her in such a boorish tone, she simply ran through the main exhibition and left. An urgent request from the museum administration: at least train your young employees to work with people (yes, children are people too). Perhaps the girl is a great professional who knows a lot, but this does not mean that she is capable of working with children. I think we will never make such a mistake as visiting this museum again.

Children's amusement center
If you're looking for a fantastic indoor adventure with your little ones, look no further than Cosmo! Nestled on vulica Cimirazieva, this vibrant children's entertainment center is packed with excitement. With thrilling five-meter slides, bowling alleys, and an intricate labyrinth filled with winding tunnels and hanging bridges, there's never a dull moment. Parents have shared heartwarming experiences of their children enjoying special events at Cosmo, including delightful holiday celebrations that left lasting memories.
Cute place to spend time with kids when the weather is not great for outside activities

(Translated by Google) A large children's entertainment center with a labyrinth, a separate children's area, slot machines, etc., which establishments in this area can offer. The three-level labyrinth requires cosmetic repairs and maintenance. Air cannons don't work. The play area for children is located separately. So, if your child wants to be in two zones, then parents should think about changing shoes, otherwise the child will run from zone to zone on the cold floor or you will have to constantly put on and take off outdoor shoes. There are, of course, more advantages than disadvantages in separating two zones for parents of children. The swing-carousel machines are not all in working order and are priced at 1.5 rubles for a child’s enjoyment. Slot machines for 1.5-3 rubles. I will say that these rides and toys are unreasonably expensive. There are many tables where they will offer a standard menu. Prices for food are the same as everywhere else. Three or four rooms for celebrating the holiday separately from prying eyes. The own entertainment program (animators) for children is not professional and ineffective. The musical accompaniment does not change over time. Polite staff. On weekdays, the lighting in the center operates in economy mode. That's why it's a little dark in places. On weekdays it is free and not crowded. It is suitable for a rare visit to the center in order to diversify a child’s life, but I do not recommend it for frequent visits. You will have to pay for parking for more than 2 hours. You understand the market territory.

We were there in the first half of a weekday, we were alone in the entire center (not counting the administrator), they told us everything, showed us everything, turned on the carousel. There is a wonderful children's area, kids under 2 years old will love it, there is a trampoline, large and with a whole net, which is important. We liked the slide for kids, which leads to a pool with balls, but our child was a little afraid to go alone, we had to catch him, which is not very convenient, since the climb up the slide is on one side, and the descent behind the net is on the other, that is, you need to go around the slide, climb the steps, climb into the balls and catch the baby. I was with my husband, so this was not a big problem, but for paranoid mothers it is not very convenient) I was pleased that there was a cafe, that is, parents with older children can calmly drink coffee while waiting for their child. I recommend visiting the children's center, but it is better with children under 2 or after 5 years old, I’m not sure that children 2-4 years old will be interested in more than half an hour.

Nestled in the heart of Minsk lies a piece of history that many may overlook: the former residence of Lee Harvey Oswald, the man accused of assassinating President John F. Kennedy. After defecting to the USSR in 1959, Oswald settled into this apartment building where he worked as a lathe operator and eventually met his wife. While it remains an ordinary residential building today, its significance is profound for those intrigued by Cold War history.
A tiny bit of our town history no one knows anything about.

This is a private residence. The former home of Lee Harvey Oswald during his stay in the U.S.S.R. when he defected in 1959. Lee Harvey Oswald was a Marxist that was ACCUSED of the assassination of JFK. Oswald was charged, murdered in police custody by a man that had months to live, found guilty of the assassination by the Warren Commission. But to this date I don't think any one has been able to duplicate what he was ACCUSED of doing.

The museum features a large wall depicting military unit battle paths, bas-reliefs showcasing military actions, and a wall of glory adorned with a pennant and hero busts. Additionally, there's a T-34 tank on display.
Nice place to visit and get a new and true historical facts about Great Patriotic war (Second World war)

(Translated by Google) Monumental memorial square. A large wall depicting the battle path of a military unit, bas-reliefs depicting military actions, a wall of glory with a pennant and busts of heroes. There is a T-34 tank on a large pedestal. Everything is well maintained, clean and tidy. Place for laying flowers. The museum itself houses exhibits dedicated to military affairs, from ancient times to the present day. The exhibitions are very interesting, especially for boys.

(Translated by Google) A small museum, the exhibition is devoted mainly to the military history of the Soviet period and especially the history of the Second World War. The exhibition includes personal belongings of famous military men, underground fighters, partisans, and commanders - for example, a pistol and dagger of Marshal I.Kh. Bagramyan. Currently, the material resources of the museum are in unsatisfactory condition and need repair and renovation. (Translated by Google) It's just a piece of sh*t. A very boring, uninteresting museum. Recently we went there with a class and I spent the entire excursion wearing headphones and listening to music, because... The story is told in the most uninteresting and uncomplicated way possible. There are quite a lot of exhibits, but they are all monotonous and not at all attractive. Interactivity 0. In general, I absolutely do not advise you to waste your time on this. It seems to me that this place will appeal only to those who are sooooo keen on war and everything connected with it.

(Translated by Google) The Museum of Military History of Belarus is an amazing place. An attempt to “reconcile” the “If necessary, repeat” ideology with modern concepts of humanization. The monumentality of the structure and the monuments around it is very impressive. In general, even the location of the museum on Pobediteley Avenue, next to other architectural masterpieces of post-communist monarchism, speaks for itself. Need to look. Definitely.

Live music venue
Nestled in a charming courtyard behind the bar "Kurilka" on Plosca Svabody, Melomany is Minsk's latest gem for music lovers and those seeking a vibrant evening out. This unique venue offers an inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy live performances from top local artists. While the space has its quirks—like a carpet covering some uneven asphalt—it adds to the character of this underground platform.

(Translated by Google) I went today (09/16/18) with my daughter, I really liked it. There are gymnasts, and magic tricks, and a trained dog, and pigeons, and a monkey, and the bear is the bomb. Male gymnasts are super!!! And the laser show, in general, I really liked everything. The area is small and therefore everything is very close and clearly visible. Just dress warmly, this is a tent after all. The performance with intermission lasts 2 hours. Artists, you are great!!! Thank you!!! (Translated by Google) It was a pity to look at the tortured animals: a pony with bloodshot eyes, refusing to perform the numbers, a stunned unfortunate monkey and a dirty poodle... There are few rooms, only 1 decent room with gymnasts. Plus the lack of air conditioning and heat under the dome. The circus would have been relevant in the 15th century, but nowadays it is rather pathetic. (Translated by Google) Sorry, of course, but it’s some kind of “circus on the dart”. Completely unorganized amateur performances, with the exception of a mini-laser show and gymnasts. The room with the poor monkey was littered, the three little ponies walked around like prisoners from fatigue. In conclusion, a dirty “white” bear surprised me - it staggered very slowly (almost falling on its back) around the arena and left. The children's disco was without him. It's a terrible pity for the money you gave, this circus is not worth it. It is better to spend time and money on more interesting, useful entertainment.

(Translated by Google) The Ministry of Taxes and Duties has terminated the Nevada Hall gambling business license. From September 4, the company can no longer operate as a casino located in the Dana Mall shopping and entertainment center in Minsk. The reason for this decision was repeated violations of the law. In particular, from 2020 to 2024, people who were prohibited from gambling were regularly allowed into casinos. At the same time, visitors’ documents were not checked and video surveillance recordings were not properly stored. Despite warnings from the tax service, Nevada Hall did not correct the violations, which led to the revocation of its license. Decide for yourself whether to visit this place!!!!!
