Castles
Norwich Castle, located in Norfolk, England, is a historic Norman site that was built in 1067 at the request of William the Conqueror. The castle has a distinctive cube-shaped keep and has served various purposes over the centuries. It was converted into a museum in 1895 and now houses collections of archaeology, fine art, natural history, and teapots.
To anyone planning a visit, I would strongly advise booking your ticket for the newly refurbished Norwich Castle in advance. This helps you skip the main queue, though you should be prepared for a short wait even with an online ticket. It's well worth it! The newly refurbished Norwich Castle is an incredible place to visit. I was impressed by the exhibits, especially the art from the Second World War, and the beautiful views from the top of the building was beautiful and blown mind. My only concern was with the long queue. I have a card that indicates I have a disability and can't stand for long periods. When I explained this, the first person I asked said they couldn't help. Thankfully, a second person saw my distress and was kind enough to provide a seat for me while I waited. This made a huge difference. Thank you to that helpful staff member. I hope the castle considers better ways to assist people with disabilities in the future.

The whole experience is visitor friendly from young to old. Much appreciated the lifts to all floors including the battlements for the amazing views. The museum full of artefacts, clearly labelled again interactive for children to enjoy.
JENNIFER T — Google review
Newly reopened Norwich castle 2025. Well worth the visit, it's a combination of walking around a historical castle, museum exhibits and artefacts, fine art, natural history and a WW2 exhibit. There are screenplays/shows in the great hall which briefly go over the history of the castle, and there are good views out the windows and across the battlements. All items in exhibits are labelled and described, and there are display boards around the actual castle interior explaining parts of daily medieval life or the significance of certain design/areas of the castle. There are historical arms and armour on display if after pieces for artistic reference. The well is very very deep.
Andrew B — Google review
It was great to see the castle after the recent renovations. It's a fine building with some great exhibits and interactive elements for children. The views from the battlements are great, especially on a clear day. It's a bit pricey and there's no senior citizen discounts, otherwise it would be five stars
Richard M — Google review
What an amazing place right on our doorstep. I've lived in Norwich 10 years and never been to the castle and what a gem of a place this is. I can't say how much it's improved since it's renovation, but wow there's so much to see! From the basement to the battlement they have honestly outdone themselves. We didn't get a chance to see it all sadly as we had two toddlers, but what we did see was amazing and definitely worth the price of admission.
Matt — Google review
I brought my 1 year old daughter here today. We had a lovely couple of hours exploring and taking some lovely photos. My only criticism is that we couldn't get around the whole castle as the lifts were out of order. My daughter was on her trike, and I wasn't prepared to carry her up and down stairs. We explored the museum and what we could of the castle. Plenty of activities for children. Very friendly and informative staff :)

A very popular venue for a wedding ceremony and it's easy to see why! Norwich Castle, recently referbished is a gorgeous wedding ceremony venue. Slap bang in the centre of the city, it gives stunning views of the city, and the room is beatiful. Have a peek at the images to see what your wedding ceremony could look like!
Tim ( — Google review
It's more of a gallery than a castle! Like it looks like a castle, but inside, the ground floor feels like just a gallery bit very related to the castle. And then when you do go up, there isn't that much to see really. Yes, the keep, which is like and and a half room, and the big one is good, fair play, but still. Also the roof view is amazing, nothing to complain about that, actually. Really enjoyed it there.

Cathedral
Sights & Landmarks
Anglican church
Church
Norwich Cathedral, a Romanesque church dating back to 1096, is a historic landmark dominating the skyline of Norwich. The cathedral boasts stunning stained glass windows and impressive double-height cloisters reminiscent of Hogwarts. Visitors can admire over 1,000 painted wood carvings on the ceilings and watch peregrine falcons nesting in the spire during summer. The cathedral close surrounding it creates a picturesque village-like atmosphere with cobbled lanes and beautiful gardens.
A very fine cathedral in beautiful and peaceful settings! During this visit we joined one of the free tours, which provided us with a wealth of fascinating background about its history. It's not often that you get to marvel at such a wonderful cathedral AND get a tour all for free. We would have liked to attend Evensong as well that day, but unfortunately it was during the summer break, so no choral Evensong. Perhaps next time.
Rolf W — Google review
A thoroughly pleasant and enjoyable tour around the Cathedral. I made a detour in my day to just go in but I'm glad I did. Lovely stained glass windows and a wonderful ambience sprinkled with a tonne of history. If I had had the time I would have stayed longer but c'est la vie. The Cathedral has been there for 900 years it's going to be there in another one. I would wholly recommend if you have longer than the half hour I did. Free entry but donations are accepted and there is a gift shop. The lady at the reception was very pleasant and friendly.
Mike ( — Google review
We visited late on a Tuesday afternoon and found the cathedral quiet and almost empty. Most visitors had departed, but the clergy and some laypersons were busying themselves to welcome parishioners for the 5:30 p.m. Evensong. By arriving late we missed the Cathedral’s free tours (the website shows the last one begins at 3:00 p.m.), so we picked up a welcome booklet instead and did our best to follow the suggested visit order. The nave is magnificent, and we marvelled at how well its strong Norman design had been integrated into the lovely fan vaulted ceiling. Two massive spiral-ribbed columns stand out. Because of the service preparations we were only able to peer into the lovely wooden choir, but we found our exploration of the impressive Presbytery and its four adjacent chapels to be fascinating. Given the time we could only do a cursory exploration of the ceiling’s treasure trove of carved medieval ceiling bosses, but we certainly plan to return to explore them more fully. Practical info: Norwich Cathedral has no entry fee, but a donation is much appreciated. An excellent list of tours, events, dates, and timings is available on the Cathedral’s website. Should one be visiting by car, note there is no parking in the Cathedral Close, but the website provides a recommendation of nearby pay parking options.
David R — Google review
This cathedral deservedly made Norwich a proper Christian city when Normans began construction in 1096. It boasts the 2nd largest extant spire of a British cathedral (this iteration standing since 1485). The cathedral doesn’t have a peal (unlike the storied nearby St Peter of Mancroft) for which only 4 stars are given. The church has received a modern hostry and refectory in the 2000s, where modern toilets can be found as well as a three-quarters decent contracted vendor for the café, the Bread Source. The wood and glass structure makes for a pleasant space and a good entrance, where entry is subject to a voluntary donation. The close is also lovely and home to several businesses, a college, and private residences.
Carl F — Google review
Beautiful place and really helpful staff! Staff arent pushy for donations which is great as many places are pushy. Free tours makes visiting very affordable. Would definitely reccommend for half a day/a full day out. We went at 11am on a Wednesday during the October half term and it wasn't busy at all. They had activities like colouring avaliable for children.
Caitlin J — Google review
I've lived near Norwich all of my 41 years and never visited the cathedral until today and my god ( excuse the pun ) was it impressive.. how on earth did they build this cathedral in that fine detail all those years ago 😳.. our minds were absolutely blown how beautiful this place and grounds are.. very factual and stunningly kept. It's a true national treasure
Tim S — Google review
Norwich Cathedral is a truly stunning landmark and a must-visit in the city. The architecture is breathtaking, with its soaring spire, beautiful cloisters, and intricate stonework that reflect centuries of history. The interior is equally impressive, offering a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere perfect for quiet reflection. The staff and volunteers are welcoming and knowledgeable, happy to share the cathedral’s rich history. Whether you’re interested in architecture, history, or simply seeking a serene place to visit, Norwich Cathedral is an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely gorgeous. When you step in the court yard you know Harry Potter has been here. Great location. The cathedral itself is stunning and you can spend hours there really.

Flea & Street Markets
Norwich Market is a historic and spacious outdoor marketplace that has been a city institution for many years. It features diverse food, art, and craft vendors, making it one of the largest and longest-running open-air markets in the country. The market has recently experienced a street food reawakening, offering a variety of international cuisines such as empanadas, churros, New York-style sandwiches, fusion noodles, fish and chips, and bacon butties.
Our first time visiting and we were not disappointed! Unfortunately a lot of the stalls were closed due to horrendous weather over the weekend, but it didn’t dampen the experience. The majority of the indoor stalls were still trading, and we had a browse and purchased a few lovely items. Will definitely be returning in the summer for the full experience!
Emily K — Google review
Norwich Market is a vibrant and lively destination, full of local charm and energy. The bustling atmosphere, with its diverse range of street food and market stalls, offers an authentic taste of the city’s culture. From freshly prepared local delicacies to international flavors, there’s something for everyone. A must-visit spot for food lovers and those looking to experience the true spirit of Norwich!
Jack L — Google review
Beautiful town. Very nice and clean. Lovely architecture. Many attractive shops. The market has delicious street food.
Daniela H — Google review
Lovely market not every single shop is open but can get quick busy during lunch time, very reasonable pricing most of the shops, £4 can get you a massive sausage and egg roll in the morning and 70p for a cup of tea, we also tried some bubble tea and drinks here, quite nice as well, must go have a visit if you travelling to Norwich.
Snow — Google review
Lots of stalls, selling all from fresh Cromer Crabs, to working mens jeans lol, could happily spend a few hours looking around, and very central to other local shops, banks and sights of the city.
Cliff S — Google review
Norwich Market is a wonderful place to explore! It’s full of energy, colour, and friendly local vendors. You can find a bit of everything here from tasty street food and fresh produce to handmade crafts and unique gifts. The food stalls are especially impressive, offering dishes from around the world at great prices. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy local culture, grab a bite, and take in the lively atmosphere. A must-visit when in Norwich!
Manoj P — Google review
Well laid out on a tight grid to make the most of the space in this central square. It's well worth spending time meandering through the small stalls. Many of the stallholders are warm and friendly without pressuring you into parting with your cash.
Steve M — Google review
Markets sell all sorts of stuff, food , clothes crafts, fruits and vegetables. It’s like a mini version of Camden Market. Street food from around the globe, you won’t be disappointed.

The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts is a modernist space that showcases ancient, modern, and ethnographic art collections. The center recently reopened its galleries with a major exhibition featuring the best art of Norfolk and Suffolk throughout history. The 'Art and East Anglia' exhibition celebrates the region's rich artistic heritage, displaying works across various visual arts disciplines from prehistoric times to the present day.
The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts offers a remarkable sense of space, with interactive exhibits that engage visitors in a unique way. The architecture blends seamlessly with its surroundings, creating a harmonious and inspiring environment. The café is bright, spacious, and inviting—perfect for a relaxing break. A highly recommended destination for art and architecture enthusiasts!

We went as a part of a volunteer group which i am part of , to see the new exhibition they have got on it's called can we survive the sea . Really good exhibition of the potential sea rises and the impact on local communities that live on island's on this planet and how they cope with tsunami's which are set off by earthquake's. But also coastal erosion that the Norfolk coastline suffers each year . All free but Donations are extremely grateful.

Every visit to SCVA is inspiring and stunning. Really enjoyed the current temp exhibitions looking at climate action and conservation of the oceans, such moving and beautiful work. Can't wait to come back soon
Ruby B — Google review
Great all-round experience. Wide variety of exhibits. Juxtaposition of pieces was stimulating and an engaging feature was where soundscapes were paired with some of the items. This led to those sculptures being experienced in a fuller way. Staff were attentive and there was an opportunity to be guided around. Setting of the Centre is picturesque. Well worth a visit.
Paul R — Google review
So much better than I thought it would be. A wonderful wide range of art and artifacts. The interactive displays were a nice touch. The current temporary exhibition was brilliant. Tickets by donation and we had a lovely coffee and cake in the cafe. It was nice wondering around the outside sculptures. No wait to enter and not too busy for a weekend day. My only trouble was parking. There were no spaces left and we had to park in a different car park at a different building, the ticket machine was also broke. Other than that, great day out.
Laura C — Google review
The Sainsbury Centre has very good temporary exhibitions (including a really good ocean one on at the moment) and the permanent collection contains some fantastic and engaging pieces. We were happy to donate a good amount for the upkeep of an important place.
Ollie F — Google review
A lovely ground floor exhibition space involving a wide array of historical artefacts from all over the world, mixed with some amazing modern art, including some ten Francis Bacon paintings, Giacometti and Picasso. The upper and lower floors were less impressive, in my opinion, but that's just a matter of taste, I guess.

Karaoke bar
Bowling House in Norwich is not just your average retro bowling alley. It offers a vibrant after-dark experience with pub grub, cocktails, billiards, and private karaoke booths. The venue hosts lively special events such as bingo, comedy nights, live music, and theatre performances. With its spacious garden for warmer evenings and a variety of food and drinks to keep you refreshed, it's the perfect spot for a fun night out with friends or a unique date night.
Really can't fault it easy to book and they really looked sfter our party of 11 people. Friendly staff in an atmosphetic old cinema. This is the 3rd time we have used it for a staff night out . Plenty of food and all dietry requirements covered. Great evening thank you guy's.

Really fun night out for groups of friends and colleagues. We drank, ate, bowled and sung. Karaoke has a huge collection of songs. I was worried they wouldn't have any of my genre but was pleasantly surprised. Food was decent and in abundance. Glad to see they're doing well as they deserve it.

having a party upstairs and I have booked bowling around 8 for 9:20 had no problems at the desk even though I am 13 booking it at 9:20 but lady goes through with it anyway I have just been pulled aside by the same lady saying we have had to cancel your booking because no kids are allowed down past 9:00 really poor customer service no sign up either but other than that horrible experience I’m having an alright time and the drinks seem well priced
Arlo L — Google review
We hired the upstairs karaoke room as a student society from the UEA and we had a fantastic night: the venue was the perfect size for the large group of us, the karaoke system was properly designed and included a wide range of songs- unlike what some other venues offer in Norwich, the student discounts that they offered were enjoyed by our members, and the bar kept our society hydrated and excited! Moreover, the staff on duty that night, Freya and Arthur, were incredible at their jobs and friendly too! Thank you The Bowling House! We had a great night🤘
Floss M — Google review
I had my 40th birthday party there and I can't thank the staff enough. They were all so helpful even in the insane heat we had that day! Also the bar manager was so kind and helpful helping me pick cocktails out for my party and making a special Hello Kitty cocktail for me. I can't rate this place enough. Great venue, amazing staff and delicious food and drink! Thank you for making my 40th so special, and I'm glad you liked the cat ears 😹
Tewsday ( — Google review
Bowling House undoubtedly deserves a 5-star review. The staff, whose names I regrettably didn't ask for, were exceptional hosts throughout our visit. The Bowling House staff which we’ll call the “awesome duo” went above and beyond, mastering a trifecta of entertainment. From the enjoyable and laid-back bowling experience to the inviting atmosphere and brace yourself for this—the absolutely sensational food! My initial expectation was smaller portions so I stupidly ordered extra, but lo and behold, the generous platefuls left us asking for takeaway boxes 😂 The nachos were beyond description—simply cracking “chef's kiss” The burgers were expertly crafted and tasted far better than I’ve had for a while a real treat for this chonky boi’s taste buds (I know my burgers😄) Every part of our experience was impeccably handled, making our night an incredibly enjoyable one. You guys smashed it so heres an extra five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ and a fancy extra sixth one 🌟 for the chap that knows how to make ahold cocktail!
Colin B — Google review
A fun experience and great food! I feel two things could help improve the experience further. 1. Bowling screens... if the current bowler's name and score could be made larger, those with sight impairment could see their name from the seating area. 2. The slope leading to the lanes (passing the bar) needs a touch more light.
Daniel H — Google review
I should say the food here is not too bad considering there is only one person in the Kitchen! I think he did great!!! It was fun to be with everyone for bowling too!

Norwich Theatre Royal, an elegant art deco venue, offers a diverse lineup of performances including drama, musicals, dance, and live music. In addition to its own offerings, Norwich is home to several other notable theaters such as Norwich Puppet Theatre and The Playhouse.
Front circle row D seat 💺 29. The peaky blinders show was good. And the view great. The seats have a nice amount of leg room for a theatre 🎭 and it was not too hot 🔥 inside when the show was almost sold out and the tempreture🌡was 30°c + outside. The rows seem well staggered so I think you would have a good view from most seats.

Brilliant customer service! First time being away from my baby and the Grandparents (there to babysit) asked about the timings for the interval so they could make sure to be back so I could breastfeed him. They gave us our own room to go to and made sure the air conditioning was on because it was a really hot day. So grateful for the wonderful staff for being so accommodating. Fantastic show, so glad to have made it!

Wow, what can I say. I have been to many many stages shows, but this was one of the best productions I have ever seen. Chicago is incredible, amazing, and just awesome. Jeanette Manrara and Djalenga Scott were super stars, fantastic. Sinitta, beautiful, perfect. Darren Day unforgettable. The dancers were just incredibly. As for the band / orchestra, I could listen to them every single night, they were also incredibly. The whole production was just the best. Thank you to Norwich for such a marvellous show. Who needs to go to London!!!

Thank you for offering this, I'd recommend it to anyone who loves the theatre! :D

Me and my daughter came to Norwich theatre to watch Hamilton on the 24th sept. I suffer from adhd and really bad anxiety. It all of a sudden got busy and I was a mess! Garden
Nature & Parks
The Plantation Garden, also known as Norwich's Secret Garden, is a hidden gem located next to St. John's Cathedral in the Golden Triangle area of the city. This English garden features an Italianate terrace, formal flower beds, and a Gothic fountain dating back to 1857. It has been transformed from an old quarry into a tranquil oasis with intricate landscaping and historical features.
Beautiful, well kept, enchanting garden. The only thing worth noting is the steep pathway in and out, which may be a struggle for those with limited mobility. The garden has so much character and little bits of history. You can easily spend a day in the wonder of creation here. The plaques dotted about give some history and information about the garden, too.
Kirsty T — Google review
Beautiful hidden gem in central Norwich! Stunning garden with plenty of colourful flowers. The fountain is the cherry on top, lovely sitting down and hearing the water fall. Plenty of seats around and you can happily sit on the grass. £2 entry by honesty box or contactless. We parked in the hotel car park next door (just use RingGo app). Will 100% head back again.

A calm and beautiful garden just outside the city centre. Lovely gardens with a short loop that you can walk. Chairs for seating or lovely spots on the grass to read a book or listen to the trees.

I remembered this garden as an oasis of calm where I could clear my mind or prepare on previous work-related trips to Norwich. The Plantation Garden retains all of my expected meditative qualities. A request for providing a £2 donation on entry is incredible value for money.

Every corner reveals something new - charming pathways, lovely flowers, and fascinating historical elements. The perfect escape from city noise where you can truly connect with nature. Take your time to appreciate the small details and craftsmanship throughout the garden. A magical spot that locals and visitors alike shouldn't miss. Discover the rich industrial history of Norwich at The Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell. Housed in a 16th-century building, this two-floor museum offers a fascinating exploration of the city's past through exhibits, themed rooms, and hands-on activities. Learn about Norwich's evolution from an Anglo Saxon settlement to a thriving town in medieval England. The museum also provides insight into the significance of trade and agriculture in shaping the city's development.
Fascinating museum of local history covering a wide range of subjects, from Norwich's status as England's second city, up to more recent industrial history. The building itself is interesting, having been a prison in the past. Thoughtfully curated displays, immersive recreations of shops and street scenes from the past, and a host of historic artefacts make this a great way to spend a few hours learning about Norwich. With limited time to spend, we elected to visit this museum instead of the Castle and were not disappointed. Both have plenty to offer, but Bridewell's focus on the history of Norwich as a working city made it particularly interesting. We learned a lot about the confectionery and shoemaking industries that formerly employed many people in the city. The museum is well provided for, with a small gift shop and toilets onsite. Tickets at the time of our visit were £7.80 for adults, with discounts for concessions; good value considering the quality and range of exhibits. Advance booking is recommended during holidays.

I visited the Museum of Norwich in the last hour before closing and had no wait to get in. Tickets were reduced to just £2.50, which was a great deal! The museum itself was really interesting, with lots of interactive features that made the history of Norwich engaging and easy to explore. From local industries to everyday life in the past, there was plenty to see and do. The only downside was the gift shop—while they had Norwich-themed fridge magnets, there wasn’t anything specifically about the museum itself, which was a bit disappointing. Still, for the price and experience, I’d definitely recommend a visit!

Its a wonderfully packed little museum with loads of items which you can get up close with. I was highly impressed with the man at reception named Tamwin, he was warm and friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about Norfolk history. Pleasantly surprised indeed!

An informative and interactive museum offering glimpse into the rich history of Norwich. Two levels of this museum are equipped with rooms that has its own thematic presentation. Visitors are taken from the Anglo-Saxon past, medieval period, until the post-industrialisation era, in each room. I personally enjoyed my visit to this museum.
Raymond V — Google review
This was a superb museum to visit, with artefacts looking back on Norwich's history as the second city of the UK in medieval times! Trade of items like coffee and tea is focused on, these old relics are shown as they would have been shipped. Coffee house section even allows to do fancy dress and a metal sheep depiction is taken in from an ancient pub, manufacturing machinery is brought in and a room is used for insight into how this was undertaken! I really enjoyed the market section with the items that would have been sold on the streets years ago and the classic store goods in their old form, carts are a superb addition. An old bar is incorporated and a mini train runs across the top, displays include a motorbike and pram as well. One area explores the household lives of people after World War 2 and exhibits the games that became popular, TV and childhood entertainment are both delved into too!

I visited this lovely museum on Saturday afternoon. The exhibition was well curated so that it was informative for someone like me who didn’t know anything about Norwich, but also for locals and families. Staff was also very kind and helpful. Warm recommendation!

Lovely experience at the museum. Wheelchair friendly. Amazing exhibits with plenty to explore when you return . This is the third time in 7 years. Friendly welcoming and enthusiastic staff who were diligent to their patrons. When stumped over finding the reused ping-pong ball in the spitfire cottage no less than three staff looked and sought out the answer! Crockery. Amazing place. I will be back.

Eaton Park, located near Norwich City Centre, spans 80 acres and offers a wide range of activities for visitors. From a speed cycle track and model boat pond to sports pitches and wildlife attractions, the park has something for everyone. It features a children's play area, cafe, tennis courts, basketball court, outdoor table tennis, petanque terrain, and skate park. The park's greenery provides an ideal setting for picnics and leisurely walks through woodland and meadows.
I have always loved this park, not been here for a while, so I brought my nearly 10 month old daughter here to play on the play park. What a lovely play park! Lots for children of all ages to do! Afterwards, we had a wander through the rose garden.. absolutely stunning! So colourful, ideal for chilling out or (like myself) doing some photography :)

Visited the park on Easter Sunday. Very big park with loads of open space. Lovely cafe and only 5min from the university grounds where we walked around the beautiful lake. I give 4 stars as I feel there weren't many flowers. They may well be in the process of updating the flower beds though...

Lived 20 miles away all my life...60+ years, had never been here before until yesterday! What a great place, will definitely go again, perhaps on a Sunday when the little railway is going. Excellent for the disabled with buggies, wheelchairs etc., however, couldn't find a disabled toilet? Think the lovely old bandstand building could do with some TLC, not sure who is responsible for this? Although I understand an undertaking of that would be very costly, but, its such a beautiful structure.

Excellent place for kids the miniature train is closed but it has miniature golf and play area for kids to spend time and ample parking

Visited today, what a beautiful park to visit on a sunny day. Parking £2 for four hours. So much to do. Boating lake, pond full of lilies, tennis, croquet, cafe, beautiful band stand, miniature railway and lovely walk through the gardens and grounds. A skate park / half pipe and children’s play area. Lots of shady places to seat if you are not a sunbather. Definitely worth a visit.

Strangers' Hall is a domestic history museum located in a 14th-century Tudor house in Norwich, Norfolk. The building consists of interconnected rooms filled with period furniture replicas and various antiquities. It was opened as a museum in 1900 and now showcases over 25,000 household objects and donated items, including toys, board games, textiles, costumes, and more.
Had a wonderful experience last night on the Christmas through the ages guided tour. Very informative but relaxed and fantastic to see the house at night too. Beautifully decorated in each room/ period of history. Then mince pie and mulled wine to finish. They even had gluten free ones for me. Thank you to the guide and staff. Really stating to feel like Christmas now. Will definitely look for other activities they do in the future and visit the house .

As a resident of Norfolk I am ashamed of myself for not visiting Strangers Hall sooner! I took part in an art workshop here this month. It is a fantastically interesting and beautiful building, steeped in history. The museum staff are so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. A wonderful establishment.

This is a fascinating building. We only saw a part of it because we wandered in when we saw it as we were passing by while on a weekend trip to Norwich and it turned out to be a day that it wasn't open to the public. The staff there were getting their things together to go home, nevertheless we were invited to come in and look around the main hall while they were locking up and had a bit of the history explained to us. We would certainly have come back for the full tour another day, but were going home the next morning. Based on what we saw I would certainly recommend this place, but suggest checking the opening hours first to make sure it is one of their public days.

Very interesting place to visit. Lots of great historical exhibits. Lovely staff who were very helpful.

Fascinating place- so nice that Mr. Bolingbroke preserved and then donated it in 1923. It has very limited hours, though, so plan around that. I didn't purchase the guidebook they sell and found there was plenty of information without it- signage, laminated sheets, notebooks, wooden paddles as well as staff. The video in one of the rooms is also informative and well worth watching. If the weather is fine, the garden is very nice, too.
Gary B — Google review
Really interesting place. We arrived an hour before closing and the ticket price was only £2, but it's definitely worth the normal price. The staff were very friendly and clearly keen to help. I liked that the experience was a mix of reading about the history and just absorbing the feeling of being in the house. The garden is also very nice and affords a lovely view back on the Stranger's Hall.
Jay H — Google review
The is one amazing museum. You can see the different architecture and building styles as you walk through. The furnishings and art work in every room really show you how they lived back then. You can spend hours wandering the hallways and different rooms. Keep in mind there are quite a few stairs and uneven surfaces. So if you have someone with mobility issues they may just have to sit in the peacefulness of the back garden.
Chris B — Google review
The Strangers Hall is fascinating and very well presented. So many rooms decorated in keeping with its age. I spoke to the guides scattered throughout the building and they showed secrets and hidden gems that you wouldn't notice by just walking through. Well worth a visit. It's intriguing to witness the remarkable transformation of the Mall since it opened in 1993. Many of the stores that now stand out were once unwelcome in what was previously called Castle Mall, which was quite a trendy spot back in its heyday. If I recall correctly, during its construction, it was the largest ongoing project in Europe at that time. Retailers that could be classified as discount stores were not considered suitable for the mall's upscale image, as it aimed to attract a more affluent clientele. The shift has been remarkable, especially following the opening of Chapplefield Mall (Chantry Place) which drew in major high street fashion retailers, many from the Castle Mall, and changed the landscape entirely. It's interesting to recall that back in the mid 90s, I learned from a fortunate retail owner that even TK Maxx struggled to establish a presence in the Mall due to the said restrictions! Ironically, after the mass exodus to the Chapplefield Mall, significant construction took place, which included dramatically reducing the size of car park 2 to make room for TK Maxx! Despite these changes, I remain a regular visitor to the mall, particularly during the winter months when the cold makes the high street less appealing. The Mall has become a comfortable shopping destination for me, showcasing how it has adapted over the years while still catering to its visitors. If the occupancy rate had been higher, I would have given a 5-star rating.
Raymond B — Google review
Great shopping centre nice and clean. Plenty of different shops to choose from. There is a lift for all levels and in most shops to get around for wheelchairs or prams. Not tons of food choice in the food court but there are plenty of other places to eat nearby or a short walk to the food stalls.

Love the potato food stall and the drinks up stairs is brilliant. It's let down by the security walked on to the top level got to a table and wife didn't even touch her seat and some boy on security jumped on me and my family asking if we eatting up here. You made my wife and children feel uncomfortable yet we sat here and people are sitting and eating food from outside the centre and your guy was stood chatting to the potato guy while looking out and did nothing

It features heathland, woodland, and open recreational spaces. The area is family and dog-friendly with accessible paths for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Visitors can enjoy walking trails, wildlife watching, picnicking, or exploring the woods.
The heath overlooks Norwich. We visited at sunset. It looks like a medieval skyline with the horizon dominated by the castle, cathedrals and the larger churches. Well worth an evening walk or bike ride.

Lovely natural woodland area very close to my home. I enjoy walking my dog and meeting other dog walkers and photo enthusiasts taking pictures of wildlife. I like to go out early in the morning when it's nice and peaceful.

Our favourite park! Although we live in the countryside, we always visit Mousehold whenever we're in Norwich. It’s perfect for long walks with lots of alternative routes to explore. Even on busy days, you can find quiet spots where it never feels crowded. The only downside is that some people don’t pick up after their dogs, which can make parts of the walk a bit unpleasant. Otherwise, it’s a lovely place to spend time outdoors
PAW P — Google review
I really enjoyed my time walking through Mousehold Heath. The same can't be said for the rodents I chose to carry in each hand. Their incessant squeaking was only a mild distraction as I strolled through the tranquil and scenic woodland. I'd recommend this place to everyone but take my advice and leave your small, furry cheese-loving pets at home - this heath is clearly not meant to be taken literally!!
Barnaby G — Google review
Love to bring my family here. Decent side woods, very picturesque. Few fields for the kids to run around in, loads of steep slopes to climb, Really good familys, dog walkers, and mountain bikes. Even when it's busy you rarely bump into many people along the walks so always a pleasant trip. Car parking is fine. Big one near the entrance but several road side areas too. Usually ice cream van about too as a bonus.

Great dog walking spot in Norwich. Lovely up and down woodland, with hidden tracks, places to explore and some excellent canvases for those into their photography. Superb bit of escapism to be done here. I like to visit and let the dog run free at least once a week. Highly recommended!
Ross B — Google review
Fantastic place to walk! Definitely take boots of sturdy footwear as it’s uneven terrain (depending how off the track you go) and can be muddy. It’s beautiful heathland with loads of surprises, ponds, wildlife, flora etc. it’s very easy to get a little lost as there are so many intriguing paths to follow and explore, but the good thing is if you do feel lost, head in one direction and you’ll find a roadway soon enough as it’s actually fairly centrally located within Norwich. Great for mindful walking, afternoon strolls or just relaxing in the open air. Car parking- there’s a small car park in front of Zak’s diner, or some more a little further down just off Gurney Road.

Pull's Ferry is a historic site in Norwich that holds great significance in the city's history. It features a restored 15th-century watergate and a 17th-century ferry house located along the picturesque riverside walk of River Wensum. The ferry house, named after John Pull who operated the ferry in the 18th century, was once used as a crucial point for transporting building materials for Norwich Cathedral from Normandy.
Lovely spot to visit if you enjoy feeding birds. Take some proper duck food. They love it. Plain oats and sunflower seed hearts go down a treat too. All much better for them than bread and crisps! Swans are a common sight here, along with mallards. Egyptian geese are frequent visitors and greylags show up from time to time. If you're lucky you may spot moorhens or a grey heron.

Fantastic imtimate performance venue. Tiered seating means a great view for all. Facilities clean. Staff very friendly & attentive. Not much leg room in seats. On site bar, reasonable prices. No on site parking. Nice area outside to relax during intervals. Was very hot in there.

A unique experience, my daughter is 6 and didn't laugh as much the younger children. She still loved the magical bird and enjoyed it coming close to her. The City of Norwich Aviation Museum, located at the northern end of Norwich International Airport, offers a fascinating collection of mostly jet fighters and bombers from the latter half of the 20th century. The museum showcases British-made aircraft such as the Hawker Siddeley Harrier, SEPECAT Jaguar, Avro Vulcan B.2, English Electric Lightning, Gloster Meteors, and Hawker Hunters.
Amazing visit! such a friendly welcoming team & great value for money all round. Not a very big place but we were there almost 4 hours, stopped for cuppa too. I went with my mum & two older kids and they were captivated on the plane tours we booked for a few quid extra. Totally recommend booking these! Mark, Kevin & Nick were really enthusiastic, engaging & entertaining. I went unaware I could climb into a Vulcan, very exciting!! Impressed my mum got up there too. The Nimrod stole the show for me, wow amazing piece of kit!! An education that we all enjoyed. Thanks to you all at Norwich aviation Museum 👍

Fascinating place, you can tell the staff and volunteers take great pride in the building and the exhibits. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, lots of interesting historical information about aircraft through last century, lots of focus on the world wars. Can even get up close and personal with a variety of aircraft in the outside area.
Abigail W — Google review
Had a fabulous day out here. Lots to see, the exhibition rooms just keep on going and they have a fantastic selection of planes outside. We recommend booking onto a tour. it's a very small fee and we got to go into a Vulcan! And later we went into the Nimrod. Both guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. All staff were lovely in fact and theres a little cafe as well. Highly recommend a trip out here.

This museum is interesting and informative with a good selection of aircraft and a number of themed exhibit rooms to wander around. There are tours of some of the larger aircraft like the Nimrod and Vulcan, you can get right up close to all of the aircraft. We had a tour of the Nimrod, a first for me, the tour was really interesting covering the history of the aircraft and its various versions and modifications and a lot about is various missions. There is also a really nice comfortable wee cafe with a good selection of snacks and beverages. All of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, there is plenty of parking, the toilets are fresh and clean. A really good place to visit if you are in the area.
Alan H — Google review
What a little gem. We stumbled across it while driving on the A47. Got there at 12 and we were the last ones to leave. On arrival we booked a Vulcan Bomber and Nimrod guided tour for myself, wife and daughter at a very reasonable £3.50 per adult and £2.50 for a child (per plane) the guides were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. On site are picnic tables for packed lunches. Inside is a little cafe with pre-packed sandwiches and cakes along with hot and cold drinks (all reasonably priced). All in all if you are into aviation and war relics from the 1900s to 2000s this is the place to come. We cant wait to come back when we are in the area. Keep up the good work!
Adam J — Google review
Our visit was completely by chance, having spotted some of the museum’s aircraft as we drove by. If you are a military or civil aviation enthusiast, history or heritage buff, model builder, engineer, photographer, relative of someone who served during WW2 in in Royal Air Force 100 Group or US 8th Air Force, or just someone who loves a museum jam-packed with interesting stuff, then this is definitely the place for you. Dedicated volunteers clearly work hard to make the museum a success, and will take the time to explain things to you, or lead you on a tour of aircraft and cockpits onsite. There is so much to read and so much to examine here, inside and outdoors. Admission fee is reasonable and parking is free. Check out the website for the guided aircraft tours on offer, and for upcoming events. Expect to spend at least a couple of hours onsite.
David R — Google review
Fantastic informative friendly museum. Recommend the guided tours (if available) which were amazing! A great way to spend a few hours also has a cafe with indoor or outdoor seating.
Paul W — Google review
We visited the City of Norwich Aviation Museum and while we did enjoy parts of our visit, there were a few disappointments. We were really looking forward to exploring the planes, but didn’t realise access was only available via guided tours — something that wasn’t clearly explained at the entrance. On the plus side, they had some great quizzes and activities for the kids which kept them engaged. However, the museum itself feels quite dated, and overall it wasn’t quite what we expected. It was interesting for a one-off visit, but unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Have been meaning to write this review for an could of weeks now! Just wanted to say what a lovely experience was had by all recently at the Norwich playhouse watching the amazingly funny Sir Mr Jack Skipper! The theatre is relatively small, but perfect for these smaller comedy gigs! Pre-show drinks were great, well priced, although I’ll never get over drinking a pint of lager out of a plastic cup! Haha. Great crowd, everyone smiling! Staff were great, everything well organised! Can’t wait to come again!

We were visiting the area yesterday, as we were on holiday for a few days. Walking past the theatre i saw a young girl.. possibly student, being very rude to a Coach Driver who was dropping young children off at the theatre. Where I live, we appreciate Coaches bringing tourists and visitors into our towns and cities. Obviously Norwich (particularly the theatre) is ANTI Coaches. You should really teach your staff good manners and good customer service skills.

Went to see Annie, which was fantastic. Seat little low but still comfortable enough.. Drinks weren't expensive. Was extremely busy in the bar, so get there earlier if you want to get a drink.

A fantastic venue, pity about the prejudice. Not sure why the management team are so hostile to disabled people who use CBPM. All it takes is a bit of understanding and a conversation. A reasonable adjustment is exactly that. Hope you're able to be reasonable sometime soon. 💚🙏🏻🌱

The Playhouse is a fantastic venue in a quieter part of town. A great selection of drinks including no fewer than three gluten-free beers, although the only food available is a selection of candy bars. The decor is quite kitschy with retro toys on the shelves and a fascinating Norwich display on the ceiling. The staff are friendly and polite in both the bar and the ticket office. I mustn’t mention to forget the shows that are booked here! All of which a very high standard, both comedy and theatre.

Located in Norwich, Norfolk, the Norfolk Snowsports Club offers a range of activities for both members and non-members. Established in 1968, it is one of the largest member-run ski and snowboard clubs in the country. Visitors can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and tubing throughout the year. The club features a main slope with a snow park section as well as a tubing hill with levels ranging from 1 to 4.
We had such a brilliant time at the Easter Bunny taster at Norfolk Ski Club! Huge thanks to Megan and Debbie for hosting – they were absolutely fantastic. My boy Josh had the best day – he loved every minute of the tubing and skiing, and the lovely picnic lunch was such a nice touch. Best of all, he was over the moon to come home with a cuddly Easter bunny! A really well-run and fun event – can’t wait to come back!

An absolutely fun experience from start to finish. Easy to book with spaces at reasonable prices for an activity made even better with a discount they had on.. it sometimes serves to ring and speak to a person. The staff were very professional as they guide you through getting your equipment and how to safely take part in the activity. The travelator was so much as you ascended the hill and then the decent was sadly over too quickly. My kids aged 9 and 14 really loved it and got on with each other which is rare as they both focused on how they were going to go down the next hill. I loved it as an adult and parent from participating to taking footage from the bottom. There is a bar, but this is only open at certain times. I fully reccomend visiting.

Just had one lesson on my beginners course so far but can honestly say I’ve never gone from nervous to relaxed so quickly. Chris and Tom are teaching our lessons and they’re both fun, chilled out and really good at explaining things. The lessons aren’t too fast paced either which gives you a proper chance to get to grips with each step. Excited for next week! Ps the cafe is also really nice and cozy

We went as a family age from 14 - 58. We did the tubing. We had a fantastic time. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We only wished we had booked for longer as we didn't want to leave. But will know for next time.

Went with the grandchildren for and afternoon of fun tubing. The kids loved it. I watched them from one of the viewing areas. There were 3 members of staff supervising to ensure the groups safety. The bar was open and a wide range of hot and cold drinks were available. You can also watch the slopes from inside but you do get nearer the action outside. If there were any negatives then I would say this resort is looking tired and run down. But the kids really enjoyed themselves so would take them again. Quite expensive for an hr.

Everything was exceptionally well organised, which made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. The staff members were incredibly friendly and engaging throughout our time there. As our son was first-time skier, I appreciated that the lesson was well-led, and it was filled with fun activities. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Came here couple of days ago to do the tubing for the first time. My boy was scared to get to the top of the slope, only got halfway before we got tears. But the staff were amazing and so brilliant with him, we got there eventually and after going down twice with me, he wanted to do it all by himself and loved it! All staff very friendly and helpful, lovely lady on the reception too. Definitely recommend this place and my boy can’t wait to come back again!!

Slice + Dice is a vegan cafe that offers a unique experience of bottomless brunch with board games and a glass of prosecco. The extensive menu impresses even meat-eating friends, and the charismatic and attentive host is ready to explain any game if needed. The cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for gathering with friends and family to enjoy delicious vegan pancakes while playing classic or new board games.
By far the best place in Norwich for vegan food!! I regularly go to Slice + Dice either alone or with friends to eat and play games. I've also attended several of their evening game events. Food is always amazing and the staff can't do enough to help you, including explaining how to play their huge library of games. Recently I took my work team their and even those who were sceptical of vegan food all commented on how much they loved it! Highly reccomended!
Andrew M — Google review
Can highly recommend to any vegan visiting Norwich. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. Just be aware that you are charged the £4 for 2hr gaming fee as soon as you get a table, not when you select a board game, so make the most of it while you're there!
Seren B — Google review
I went here for afternoon tea, just looking for a vegan cafe while travelling. Didn’t know it was also a board games cafe until I got there. A nice surprise, and boy did it look well kitted-out for it! Shelves and shelves of games to play off the shelf while you eat, and a decent amount of games for sale there, too. The food was excellent. I just had the chicken wrap (a lunch menu item) which was brilliant and refreshing on the hot summer day. They also did a peach iced tea special drink which also really hit the spot. Oh, and a little tub of premade vegan chocolate ice cream, which was delish! The rest of the menu looked amazing. I might have to sneak back here for dinner before I leave the city in a few days… 😋 The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was nice and chill. Clearly a very accepting and friendly place to be. The bathrooms were gender neutral. Edit: I went back for another lunch, going for the main menu, trying the imitation beef burger, with some chips, a spider, and finishing with the — deep fried Oreos! Never seen that on a menu, before! It’s exactly what it sounds like. Not bad. 😋 The food was amazing, but the service was a bit confusing. I thought it was all table service, but the man who sat me down didn’t come back to take my order, so after waiting a while, I went to order at the bar. Maybe just a weird day or caught them at a bad time. They were otherwise great and let me customise my burger by adding gherkins. (I was also a bit stressed for time that day, so I may have overestimated how long I was waiting for service.)

This is a lovely cafe! I came to read the reviews and was really sad to see there's some very bitter people out there. Why come to google reviews before you've bothered to speak to management? Anyway, I've been 3 times now and I can't wait to go again! Food is lovely and great portions. Staff are polite, friendly and not faffing about you while you're eating. The place feels clean and not sticky like other cafés I've been to. The whole cafe is wall to wall board games, I'm glad we can just come and eat the good food though because I'm not into games. I'm a chore eating out. I'm vegan, ocd and a very fussy eater. This place has the only menu I actually struggle to decide what to eat because I've loved all of it! AND THEY DO DEEP FRIED SPROUTS AT XMAS 💚💚💚

We had a works do here. £2 per person for a few hours. We played 2 board games. Cute environment lots of tables. Lush cocktails. Food was rather expensive but everyone who ate around me enjoyed.
Rebecca L — Google review
My wife and I visited here and ONLY had food and drink so this does not speak as to the gaming aspects of the venue. We had made a reservation and I am uncertain if this is needed usually but would expect it likely would be. We visited here on a trip to Norwich and had pretty high expectations from both the impressive menu and also the reviews. Our expectations were absolutely exceeded by the quality, flavours, service, and presentation of the food. We ordered the lahmacun and buffalo oyster mushroom wings and the tomato and basil salad as sides to the burrito, and a double cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. As you may see from the photographs the presentation was outstanding and the hot food was piping hot. All of the food had incredible flavours and the ingredients were clearly high quality. The buffalo sauce on the oyster mushroom wings was delightfully umami and slightly sour and the batter was light and crispy whilst the mushrooms themselves had enjoyable bite to them. The salad was light and fresh with good balance between salty from the capers and olives with freshness from the tomatoes and basil. The brioche bun was unbelievably fluffy and bouncy and the patties were robust, umami, and smoky with the cheese beautifully melted and an outstanding burger sauce that was very gherkiny. The burrito was enormous and almost overflowing with beautiful smoky refried beans, a gorgeously creamy soured cream and cheese with the rice and plenty of roasted vegetables. The lahmacun was zesty and vibrant and something I have never seen made vegan before. Finally the sweet potato fries were golden and crispy on the outside yet fluffy and gentle inside and everything that was meant to be hot was piping. The service from the hostess/owner/bar lady was polite yet enthusiastic and welcoming and she passed on our praise to the chef for us. Probably the best ever vegan meal I have had on 8ish years of being vegan alongside Tofu Vegan 😍

Nice and cozy cafe to gather with friends and family and learn a new game or play a classic. Tables are decently sized, enough room to play catan 4 players with drinks for everyone. 3 toilets available. Vegan menu with delicious pancakes (American style) with homemade chocolate sauce and whipped cream (non dairy). £1.50 per hour per person is a fair price. 10-12 tables available. The center promotes health, fitness, and personal safety while offering a challenging yet enjoyable atmosphere. It's an ideal place for children's birthday parties or even as a unique date idea.
Booked the half term kids climb with Richard and thought it was excellent value for the session. The kids absolutely loved it, he was so attentive with the group of children he had. It’s spacious inside, great coffee and the cookies went down well post climb. If you are watching it’s not that warm whilst they are renovating but I imagine it’s great if you’re climbing and that said they do have blankets on the sofas.

It’s a really cool place to get your adrenaline pumping if you like climbing. The fact that it’s an outdoor activity that can be done indoors is great for me. The staff are helpful and having a cafe is also great so one can take breaks and have a drink as well. I’d recommend!

I've been climbing at Highball since it opened (old centre) and love the new building. I was initially upset at the lack of roped climbing, but the new centre is amazing and full of great climbs that are reset regularly. My friends and I had an "Intro to Board Climbing" session last night. 2hrs with Ben who was excellent. His guided warm-up was very informative and he was able to use his experience to articulate each exercise and how they benefit you as a climber. I will definitely be making good use of the amazing woody board from now on. The food and coffee are always really good, and the facilities keep improving with time, as does the list of coaching and class options. If they had a lead wall, I'd probably never go home.

This is one of the best centers ive had the pleasure of visiting. The staff are super friendly and supportive. I bought a pair of shoes from them recently and after wearing them a few times realized they were too small. We had our lads' birthday get together here and the event was enjoyed by all. We thought it was good value, it ran very smoothly and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. Three 9 hole courses of oriental themes than you can choose from... We didn't have any food, having eaten earlier, so unqualified to comment on this aspect. Appeals to all ages - there was even a Hen Do sharing the course.

We visited Putt Putt Noodle today to celebrate my dad’s birthday and had such a great time! The staff member on shift was very friendly and welcoming, and he really made the experience fun for us. We booked the two-course option and loved how each course had different levels of difficulty — especially entertaining for us as novice mini golfers! Overall, it was such a fun and memorable experience, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different to do in Norwich.

This was an exciting venue for golfing, with a fun-packed Japanese course. Mini props like the bridge and pink trees are really cool, appreciate the feature of the Japanese river running through too! Some holes have points for launching golf balls up, including a Norwich Tudor house that is a unique touch bringing the city into this course. Final hole has multiple slopes leading up to the scores to give more opportunities, check-in was easy at the desk with welcoming staff!

Had a brilliant time as a group of eight on a work social evening. The Norwich branch made us feel very welcome and were really accommodating when we needed to make some changes. They were friendly and professional. The cocktails were delicious. I reduced the food rating by a star as I felt the loaded fries should have had more pulled pork topping. Everyone enjoyed the taste and presentation of their food. Would highly recommend Putt Putt Noodle Norwich. Thank you to all the staff who made our evening fun and memorable.

We loved our visit to Putt Putt Noodle bar. The food is great, service is with a friendly smile and the indoor crazy golf courses are lots of fun. The environment is dark and the music is loud, so older customers might not appreciate this, but for younger people, it's ideal.

had my birthday here and it was amazing, really helpful staff and lots of fun. Everyone who came had a great time so I would definitely recommend it !
Abbie B — Google review
The kids had a good time, but the large, dark play hall was unbearably hot and stuffy, with clearly stale air. My son even developed a fever the next day because he had to come out to the food area in a soaking wet T-shirt. For the prices charged, providing fresh, healthy air during play should be basic. At the birthday table there wasn’t a single birthday sign or real decoration—only a few small ceiling ornaments that didn’t create any festive atmosphere. To make matters worse, the table had my name on it instead of my son’s, even though we had agreed on the details in advance and I exchanged at least five emails with the staff to confirm everything. Finally, safety is a serious concern: after the game, while heading to wash my hands, I fell hard on the stairs in front of the reception desk, in full view of many guests. Both my knees are still bruised. There is a warning sign on the ceiling, but people don’t walk around looking up. This is extremely dangerous and needs to be addressed. Overall, fresh air and basic safety should be guaranteed.

We just held my daughter's 7th birthday party here and I can't praise it enough really. This venue doesn't seemed to have changed at all in the last 30 years but it works so I guess it's a case of "if it's not broken, don't fix it". The birthday package was very good value for money, not cheap as such but a very fair price for everything that's included. The staff were excellent and really put the effort in to see that your needs are met and you have a good time. A splendid time was had by all and I can't say fairer than that really. Highly recommend.

From the standard escape rooms to the newly created 'Sphinx' room, Clued Up! has something for everyone.
Excellent experience, a good challenge and great value for money. We visited as a pair and with one or two minor exceptions felt that we weren't disadvantaged for the lack of extra bodies. The escape room (Casino Escapade) was well thought out with a good degree of difficulty, range of puzzles, and thoughtful oversight, knowing precisely when to offer unrequested hints when we were stuck, or barking up the wrong tree. A brilliant way to spend some time on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon, and we shall certainly be back!

Absolutely brilliant Escape Room Company! We've done 10's of rooms from UK to US, CZ, Cyprus etc, and this was a really great room (Circus Collection) - very good fun with well written clues & puzzles and an innovative premise rather than the usual "escape in 60 minutes" theme... thanks Andy & team!

Fantastic experience for our 13yr old son's birthday party with three of his friends. Staff were excellent, helpful, welcoming and kind to us and all others. Definitely our kids are planning to visit again and enjoy the experience.Very relaxing. Awful! Turned up and made a booking at 1530 in store with the staff member. He booked us in at 18:30 so my family and I waited for 3 hours. When we returned for our booking the staff member had forgotten us, and told us we’d now need to wait until 20:00 as the group before us turned up 30 minutes late. The awful member of staff didn’t even look us in the eye whilst more of less telling us he couldn’t care less. So after waiting around for 3 hours (after booking a slot) we’re now left with a wasted evening, a disappointed child, and a parking charge they wouldn’t even validate. We do many escape rooms and know that if you turn up late, you loose that time of your game. So an excuse of a customer turning up 30 minutes late is ridiculous and incredibly unprofessional. Very poor showing from this company!

We booked a group of 6 for VR gaming. Aged 10-15 ish. Couple familiar but first time for most. Each in their own room but has an open linked com just for our group. 1hr was plenty enough. We started playing the same game, then split off with some playing solo and others still playing together. Lots of games available for a wide range of preferences. There is a vr help button which summons the staff if you are struggling and they can also communicate through the headset. You are also monitored on the staff screens both in game and in room. They were running about 45mins late for our session, but if the people before us were just as useless at getting setup and familiar with controls then it's no surprise. We'll enjoyed and recommend 👍

Top class VR place. The equipment is well maintained. The rooms are clean. Never had any lag or stuttering. So it shows they put the efforts into the rigs running the vr. Also. They use Valve Index headsets so have Half Life Aylx which is a bonus.

Had a great time playing the laser tag here with some mates. The technology was fantastic however a little buggy, 2 out of 3 of our haptic vests didn’t work (however we did receive a full refund for these) and a headset kept disconnecting. The staff here are friendly and very patient considering this was the first time I had ever used a headset before, even throwing in a couple extra rounds because of our troubles. Overall it didn’t ruin the experience and I’d love to return once again when these bugs are fixed. 🙂

All in all an ok visit. Sadly we visited with our two 12 year old boys and on the first game there was constant swearing from other players.
D W — Google review
If they had managed to honour our booked appointment I would have happily awarded this place 5 stars. Sadly we were made to wait over an hour for a slot we had booked due to the staff allowing a walk in appointment to take the time slot that we had booked weeks in advance. I'm not entirely sure if the staff understand how a booking system works if they are just going to ignore it. The actual VR experience, introduction and demonstration was great. The headsets are cleaned between uses and they help ensure they are sat on your head correctly. Sadly I just cannot give 5 stars due to the pointless booking system.
Liam H — Google review
As a whole, I can't say I had a good experience. It started out okay for like the first 5-10 minutes until the VR completely crashed and after we got everything running again, none of the games would load and I was just stuck on the Steam menu, (not the actual VR menu where everything is), staff relocated me a different room and added on extra time for time I missed, guided me through everything and things seemed like they'd be okay from there but when it actually came down to it, I could never really get going or get to properly experience any of the games I tried to play, either games wouldn't load, controls barely worked for most of the games or the very least were never explained. And top it all off, I was on the Steam menu the entire time limiting what I could do for most of the session then in the last 5 minutes of the session, it just decided to load me into it but by then, my time was basically up which left me even more feeling frustrated and angry than I already was during/after the session. For the entire time I was there, I got only get to play 2 games properly at best, sure most the games ran okay but that doesn't amount to much when the controls barely work for them (and of course Phasmophobia which wouldn't run at all). I just feel like I never really got to experience anything properly because of the reasons mentioned. Despite this, I can't fault the staff for these things as they were really good to me and did their best to help when it crashed originally, it's just the experience itself that was the issue. Great staff, it's just everything else. I am open to giving it another chance in the future as most of my problems were technical issues so if I do, I hope for better luck. The prices are fair for the time you get, I just wish I got to use that time to it's full potential. Thank you - Anthony

Christian church
The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is a Roman Catholic place of worship located in Norwich, England. It was established as the official cathedral church for the Diocese of East Anglia in the 1970s and boasts an education and interpretation gallery, a shop, and a cafe for visitors to enjoy. The landmark's construction began in 1882 and lasted nearly 30 years, resulting in magnificent stained-glass windows and imposing stonework that make it quite a sight to behold.
If I'm honest, I wouldn't be the most religious person out there. My wife and I were passing by en route to the Plantation Garden (right next door) and thought we'd pop our heads in. And we're so glad that we did. The outside of the cathedral is quite formidable, but nothing prepares you for the inside... it totally blew us away. Truly magnificent. I think the Catholic cathedral gets a bit overlooked by the other cathedral in Norwich, but give it a viewing. Amazing 30 mins we spent there.

✨Blessed Encounter at St. John the Baptist Cathedral ⛪️🫶🏻🙏🏻✨ On 11/10/2025, we were blessed to tour the tower of St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Norwich 🇬🇧 with my children and dear friend. It was more than a cathedral visit—it was a journey into a living testimony of faith, history, and God’s divine plan on Earth. Our guide, with great kindness and passion, shared the cathedral’s rich history and sacred meaning. We came to see that it is far more than stone and wood—it is a monument of devotion, sacrifice, and love for God. To think that between 1882–1910, without modern technology, faithful hands built such a masterpiece is nothing short of miraculous. Every arch, carving, and stained glass window lifts the soul heavenward, reflecting the glory of God. As we walked its halls and admired its sacred beauty, we felt God’s presence surround us—humbling, inspiring, and uplifting all at once. From the top of the tower, the view over Norwich was the perfect crown to this blessed experience. This cathedral is not just a place to see—it is a place to encounter God. Truly a gift, a glimpse of heaven here on earth. 🙏🏻✨ All glory and praise be to God Almighty! ✨🙏🏻

Hard to believe this amazing Gothic cathedral wasn't built hundreds of years ago? Wonderful, uplifting and very accessible for wheelchair users! There is a modern entrance to one side called the Narthex. This houses fully accessible parish rooms, excellent disabled toilet, cafe and repository. Please note, the cathedral is not dog friendly. I've asked them to amend a notice in the newsletter saying dogs aren't permitted in the cathedral to "no dogs permitted except Assistance Dogs" because this is breaking the law. Assistance dogs are essential and in the case of deaf recipients, it's the only way you can recognise a person is profoundly deaf because many profoundly deaf people can't wear a hearing aid or cochlear implant. People recognise that the recipient is deaf through the Hearing Dog, and modify communication accordingly. The displays about the history of the cathedral is so interesting and one thoroughly enjoyed reading them. Lovely well stocked affordable repository. Cafe is a little expensive compared to many other places around Norwich; a latte £3.80 and a dry date slice (ok, a disappointment) £3.30. £7.30 for the two! Shocked. Spoilt my visit somewhat. To contrast with that, in the Walsingham Slipper Chapel tea room, I paid £2.50 for a big delicious homemade scone and £1.75 for a cup of filter coffee. Big difference! £4.25! If you're on a low income it really does make a big difference. It's wonderful going to Mass here. A lovely aura of peace.

This great church was built between 1884-1910 to the design of George Gilbert Scott Jnr (finished by his brother John Oldrid Scott after his death in 1897). It is widely admired and considered one of the most successful of the thousand of Victorian reinterpretations of the Gothic style, showing a scholarly knowledge of medieval architecture and an attention to detail that were it not for the sharper condition of it's stonework this could be mistaken for an authentic 13th century church. This may sound like a praise of pastiche, but it is more than that, for I genuinely believe no other post-Reformation church so successfully captures the spirit of the middle ages as this one does.

I often come to this cathedral as I love looking at the architecture here. I have done the tower tour which I had prebooked online and it was worth paying for! The tour guide was friendly and so knowledgeable which made the already amazing experience even better. Also, all of the staff I’ve come across in this cathedral have been wonderful, I have no complaints about any experience I’ve ever had here. When I was last here looking around we had a lovely member of staff come up to us and gave us so much information about how the church works and also how it was built and why things are the way they are which was really interesting!

Truly beautiful Gothic cathedral which acts as the base for the Catholic community in East Anglia. Absolutely worth visiting as a tourist, and coming to celebrate mass as a Catholic!

A magnificent edifice fitting for the worship of the King of kings. It will fill you with awe. It us an architectural wonder and is as awe-inspiring as it is solemn. Every visit leaves one spell bound. The view from a distance culminates in a modern entrance to the church hall which is simply beautiful. It is a place to reconnect with the divine and savour the sheer brilliance of the architecture and aesthetics of the structure. I can't have enough of this church.

This really impressive building is "only" just over 100 years old, so very young compared to other Norwich churches, still, the guides have plenty of information to share. It is possible to pay to go up to the balcony level and up the tower, where there are some great views of the city and beyond.

Came this evening for my friend’s birthday at late notice without booking, Jesse greeted us and set up the room we had wanted to do in under 15 mins. Another lady, we didn't catch her name but she was blonde, explained the room and the rules to us really clearly. We managed to escape due to their helpful prompts and had a really fun time overall! Thankyou so much to the experience we had so much fun and our friend loved it on her birthday! Very much reccomend :)

Big fan of escape rooms, so was excited to try here - and I wasn't disappointed! Host Felicity was lovely and a great game master. Really like that you can take drinks into the rooms, which are very reasonably priced! Would 100% recommend and I will be going back to do another!

Had a lovely game here to celebrate my daughters 40th, went with my daughter and 2 Grandaughters. Our youngest scored a strike and she's not even 2 yet. Put up the barriers and use the equipment for little one's. Lots of fun 😁

Relaxed atmosphere although it was busy. Staff polite and helpful. Choice of games a d food available. Didn't have to wait long for a game of bowls. Air conditioning was good on a hot day.

Edit responding to comments Rating based on using bar and arcade. I found the staff pleasant and welcoming. Good range of drinks, snacks and arcade game. However, everything is more expensive than other on the city with no comparable improvements in quality or game time.
Donovan C — Google review
Took visiting grandchildren and their parents for a treat. Booking was easy, no waiting for a lane to become available. They really liked it and visited the 2p slot machine afterwards. They had 2 games which lasted about 1 1/2 hours. Personally I found it very expensive for the amount of time, even booking in advance was of no benefit. I wouldn't go there again.
Daphne W — Google review
Very nice lanes and fairly reasonably priced. A nice selection of drinks and there is usually lane service so you can have them brought to you. I've never eaten here before, but the food going to other tables looked decent. The arcade area is well stocked with fun games to play and there are also a few pool tables to play on if you've had enough of bowling. A fun day out for the family and won't break the bank.

One of the better ones I gave been too, mainly because the staff smiled and interested in us. Venue was fresh and smart. Local carpark is free, which is handy being in the city centre, or train station almost next door. Recommended.

We decided to book in one rainy day over the Easter holidays. It wasn’t too busy when we turned up at 10am (was a lot more busy an hour later!). We went with our two children aged 6 and 4 and the baby. We felt quite rushed when we got there as were told that we each had 10 minutes so had to be done by 10.40am. There was a member of staff hovering by at that time to clean our area after. Part of me is quite impressed if they clean the booths after every use. The booking system was a bit frustrating as it only gave us an option of 10-12 then once we booked, told us we had to be there for 10am. This was a bit tight for us so we called to try move it back a bit but they said that wasn’t possible. So we rushed and we made it there but would have preferred either a better booking system or someone more helpful on the other end of the phone. Otherwise, it was fun and clean. There’s also an arcade which is fun to play on after.

High Altitude Trampoline Park hosted an exclusive party for 43 children from Eternity Church's children ministry, providing amazing staff who went above and beyond to ensure the kids had a fantastic time. The party hosts were highly involved in setting up, clearing up, and organizing activities. They even created fun games to enhance the jumping experience. The attention to detail and level of service provided by the staff, including individuals like Riley, Beth, and Oscar, was exceptional.
We had my daughter's joint birthday party here last month and it was a massive hit. They had an amazing time. The food was good we had chips, hot dogs and ice cream all the kids were happy and full. The staff were great. The host we had (I think it was Jess) was amazing. Brilliant with the children, happy, helpful and worked super hard. Thank you

What an excellent place to have a child’s birthday party - booking online was simple and straightforward, polite and timely communication by phone call to finalise details and make any changes a week before the party, and the staff on the day were nothing short of amazing - coordinating and organising all the guests, setting up the party space, serving food including remembering children who had allergies. They were so friendly and attentive. The level of care and attention to detail was first class. Of course, the children also had an excellent time jumping and playing on the trampolines. Thank you for creating an amazing birthday party for our child.

Really great experience yesterday. Went for the jump and lunch session with my 4 year old as a birthday treat. All the staff were really friendly. And the girl on the court was fantastic. Engaging with the children whilst still making sure everyone was safe and having a good time. The lunch included in the jump and lunch session was lovely. We will definitely be returning.

Held my sons 9th birthday party here, we picked a SEN party which was best suited to our needs, we also added the Neon hassle free birthday package - this far surpassed our expectations, especially the cake, the decorations were lovely, and the whole atmosphere was perfect. Handmade pizzas too, also very accommodating of dietary requirements. From start to finish the staff were amazing, attentive, friendly and made the whole experience that much more special, we would like to say a huge thanks to our party hosts Riley and Jas, you ladies were brilliant!

Labyrinth Norwich is a versatile venue that caters to both children and adults. The play cafe offers a cozy movie shed and a fully licensed cafe, making it an ideal spot for toddlers' birthday parties or corporate events. The warm and welcoming party hosts ensure that all children have an enjoyable time, while the cafe provides a relaxing space with a delightful selection of coffee and cake. Additionally, the laser tag arena upstairs features a UV seaside theme, suitable for both kids and adults.
Absolutely fabulous family session at Labyrinth today. We booked the private family session which meant we had laser tag to ourselves for 1 hour. We had about 5 games in this time, included, solo, team and hide and seek style games. Our children are 5, 7 and 11 and this was our first time doing laser tag. We all loved it and had a lot of fun. The course is all lit up in neon but not scary for little ones. Service was brilliant, we had a full explanation of how to use the guns and the area was clean, tidy and equipment was all set up ready to go. The family session includes pizzas afterwards (allergies were well catered for) which were delicious! A huge bowl of chips to share and dessert of brownies/cakes or ice cream (including vegan options!) the cafe has beautifully created with all ages on mind. Lovely coffees and cakes on offer, a small play area for under 4's and a movie area with huge bean bags for a bit of down time after the laser madness!! Would definitely visit again and would hugely recommend the family session for first timers. Our children loved it and as it was just our family it eased any worries about being in a new place! You park in rose lane carpark and there's a walkway straight through to labyrinth (signposted) so easy to find! Thanks so much to everyone at Labyrinth for great service and a super fun afternoon. We will see you again soon.

Brilliant laser tag party for my 9 year old over half term. Great staff, great entertainment and good food. As a parent it was lovely to be able to sit with a coffee and watch the kids have fun on the cameras in the laser area! Everything was taken care of and the price was very reasonable. Also the staff were brilliant with the children. Just be mindful that 1.5 hours is tight for parents to leave and come back so the end for us was a little rushed.

We had a fantastic time. The laser tag arena was immersive and exciting, with the UV seaside theme adding a unique touch. The game was well-organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the rules. It was a great experience for both kids and adults! The play café was a wonderful addition, especially for younger children. The under-5s play corner, books, and movie shed made it easy to keep little ones entertained. Thank you for creating such a fun and welcoming space. We will definitely be back and will recommend Labyrinth Norwich to our friends and family!

We went for our staff well-being. Which I was very dubious about it, (as we had mixed ages and abilities) but actually we all had a great night, very easy and Charlie made us feel very welcome. It was a private hire, would do it again, Thank you,

Such a fab place. Daughter had 7th birthday party there and they all had a great time - including 2 of the dads who played. The whole experience is so easy. You can literally just turn up with a cake - which they also bring in and then cut for the party bags that they supply too. Food and drinks are brilliant. Pizza and chips are so tasty (luckily there was enough for me to steal some too) Most importantly staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Hassle free from start to finish and also great value. 100% recommend. Thanks

My daughter had a build a bear party at labyrinth for her 6th birthday, she had a lovely time with her friends in the party area playing before the party, they loved picking their own bear and building it followed by food and some extra playtime. We also got some party bags which I wasn't expecting and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely too and there was plenty of room for parents to chill while the kids played. Would definitely recommend she had a wonderful time thank you.

Brilliant party venue, we've visited here twice for parties now. Laser tag & build a bear party! Food and drink is also reasonably priced and children are served handmade pizzas for their meal. Only downfall is you still have to pay for parking at Rose Lane car park even though your using their venue - there should be a stamping system in place especially if you have to stay with your child for the duration of the party.

If you're a fan of retro gaming, then Retro Replay - Arcade, Gaming Lounge & Bar is the perfect destination for you! Open from Monday to Friday evenings and all day on weekends, it offers an all-day access wristband that allows unlimited play across two spacious stores filled with nostalgic machines from the '80s and '90s.
Superb retro arcade; a must visit. This is one of the best retro arcades I’ve visited in the U.K. A huge array of 80s and 90s arcade machines, across 2 adjacent stores. Gaming console games also available, to play on the big screen, in a multi-player format. Decent bar, with excellent background music. Payment is a via an all-day pass (£12 as at April 2025) which grants you full access across both stores and to play all games free, as many times as you want. You can come and go as much as you please, so allowing you to explore Norwich and come back a few times. (Wrist band, date stamped, grants access.) The only thing they need to get their hands on is Daley Thompson Decathlon and they’d be fixed.

£12 adult game pass for all these retro arcade games, you could order drinks as well got some tables and chairs to chill, very nice for some friends gathering or couple date. it also has Nintendo switch, Wii U, Xbox 360 etc definitely worth the price considering we normally spend £20-30 each at our local seafront arcades.

We had a really good time in Retro Replay. It was a fun blast from the past for me as they had some of my childhood games like Halo and Goldeneye. Also time crisis with unlimited continues!!! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience here and it was nice not having to keep topping up the machines with coins. A good few hours of fun for all ages

Had a fantastic time, the thought of 4 hours of gaming was my biggest nightmare as I am not the biggest gamer, however I had a great time, loved all the games and it's absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be back again. I found also prices of refreshments is absolutely brilliant, really good value for money and if you want a toilet make sure you ask at desk they do have a code for a toilet upstairs. The tops hanging up at the bar, again really good prices I was expecting £30-35 but no, £15 per top really good prices all round! 😁😁😁

What an amazing place - so many fantastic machines from different eras to keep everybody and anybody fully entertained for a good few hours. I was there for three hours and I had barely seen what every cabinet had to offer - and that's not even including all of the retro consoles available to play in the attached room.
Ewan D — Google review
What a way to spend a tenner! Access to all the arcade cabinets and consoles over both units (next to each other) you can come and go as you please throughout the day once you obtain the wristband. I was only able to spend a couple of hours here this time but even then had fantastic value for money. Highly recommended and will go back asap
Mark H — Google review
Had a great time at Retro Replay, and to be honest, if I hadn't been with my young 'un I probably would have stayed longer (mind you we was still there for about 3.5 hrs...!) Wristbands are £10 for an adult and you can pop out, pop back in again etc. Set up is good, lots of variety, and whilst not exactly retro I also liked the fact that they has some newer console stuff set up as it mixed it up a bit. We did need to get a drink and they were reasonably priced etc. Not much of a selection on snacks, but enough to keep you going. As a parent, the only bit I would have preferred would have been an internal door from the main room to the lounge area as opposed to walking out and round (unless me and the kid missed a door somewhere..!) A great place, and will certainly try and visit again if in the area.
Andrew C — Google review
My family and friends spend a day here and it just blew me away with all the old classics I use to play as a child. I had to keep telling myself that its ok to play all the games as there free to play when you have paid to get in. We also went out and had lunch and come back to play again as you can come and go as you please. Awesome place

This was a great day. They cleaned the boat for us and gave us little seats to sit on so we didn't get a wet bum. We rowed down to the Rushcutters pub where we had already booked a table and enjoyed lunch. Along the way, we saw lots of ducks, geese, swans, and even a heron, which was beautiful, I wasn't expecting the level of nature we would see, but it was beautiful. It did rain a little, but it didn't last long, and it was still an epic day. Highly recommend to come here.

Quite terrible customer service, Booked 24 hours ago but due to an issue out of our control we called 3 hour ahead to make them aware we can not make the booking. We do not require a refund simply to change the date. I was met with no attempt at resolution just a simple “I’m losing money so you can’t just change the date” It states on the website any changes to be made with 48 hours notice. I asked, “what do you do to help your clients who book the previous day?” (24 hours prior ) “nothing you just lose your money “ Rude, unprofessional, and in an industry where you are people facing, please work on your attitude, it’s not how you should run a business.

We love this festival every year. Always such a wonderful collection of shows and events on offer for all the family. We can't wait to see the origami show next week. Always well organised with super helpful staff and volunteer!

Promising kick off! I saw the opera singers and the suspended drummers and acrobats at Millenium Plain: exciting start, which had people flocking out of the shops to witness this spectacular beginning with much more to be come!

Great exhibition of Grayson Perry, took my 90 Yr old mother in law, staff could not have been more helpful with easy accessing at the rear of the exhibition and friendly helpful staff, the exhibition is fantastic even better then the first time we saw this, lots of detail's that we never saw first time around. Nature & Parks
Earlham Park is a charming natural reserve located in Norwich, nestled between the university and hospital alongside the River Yare. It features open grasslands, wooded areas for exploration, and on-site parking. The park also houses the historic Earlham Hall and a vintage cafe that welcomes dogs. Popular for outdoor events, it offers ample space for car parking and hosts various events throughout the year.
Earlham Park holds a special place in our hearts. We used to visit regularly when our kids were growing up in Norwich, and it was always a highlight of our weekends. The open green space, beautiful trees, and peaceful riverbank made it the perfect spot for family picnics, bike rides, and simply letting the kids be kids. They especially loved playing by the river and exploring nature. Even now, every visit brings back so many cherished memories. It’s a well-maintained park, great for all ages, and a true gem in the heart of Norwich. Highly recommend it for families, walkers, or anyone looking to relax in a lovely natural setting.

Went to the foodies festival and had sister sledge not played I really would have felt a bit cheated on the entrance ticket. Many food stalls sell average food at pretty rich prices. Got loaded veggie fries from one vendor which was £10. It came with coleslaw and packet cheese sauce and crispy onion. Not going to name the vendor. After the £5 parking, food and drink (bubble tea £6, which was nice), 2 of us spent north of £70 and could have had much better value with a pub lunch. More free stuff please if you're going to charge that much.

What a wonderful place for a walk!! Looking forward to seeing the wisteria bloom all over the manor house, now owned by UEA and part of their law campus. Gardens are open to the public, including the gorgeous Dutch Garden, the wooded area, and the open fields. You can walk all the way around the outside of the house, and then down to the river where you can walk to the marshes. Parking is free for 2 hours at the Earlham Park car park, where they also have (paid) electric chargers. Students and staff are not able to park here so it’s just for the general public to use, next to the Enterprise Centre. The park is vast and dog friendly, plenty of bins. I wish there were more benches and places to sit, but if you don’t mind bringing your own blanket there are plenty of places you can sit on the ground. As it’s big, it doesn’t get too busy when the weather is nice, but the car park does get full quickly. There’s a little cafe which is great for a cuppa, also dog friendly - Earlham Cafe. All in all, wonderful leafy wooded park, great to explore, child and dog friendly. Very tranquil and relaxing.

The actual show side fantastic but parking a nightmare no one stop cars going into what you thought you could park in and had to turn round in tight spots and get past the cars coming in other direction. Food on sale was great only let down parking side

The Foodies Festival was Ace... Food was fantastic, had delicious non alcoholic Pina Colada in pineapple, food stalls with a variety of home made products that were fresh and delicious, there were displays of cookery by top chefs, inflatables & rides for children, music was great with really good bands and individual acts, overall the atmosphere was relaxing and fun. Can't fault the experience we had. Will definitely go there again...

Fantastic venue. They have a sectioned off part for people with accessibility needs with chairs. No need to rebook just ask a member of staff to direct you. If the chairs are full they can bring more. Very nice as i attended a concert with a relative with mobility issues. Will definitely be back for more shows!

Saw Gok Wan DJ here last weekend. The good: atmosphere was good, sound system was decent and Gok and the support acts were on point. The venue was a good size and liked the 360 crowd around the DJ. The bad: if you're playing on the fact there's a 360 degree performance space, then for me that means the DJ would be on a rotating platform or otherwise move around during the performance, but no. You could just stand around and behind the booth and see either a stack of speakers or their back. Drinks were also very pricey. £15 for a pint and a single rum and coke is a bit much, worse that you're then confronted with a screen prompting for a tip! This is not table service, I went to the bar and the bar staff put some liquid in a plastic cup for me to take away. How is that tip worthy and why aren't you just giving them a slice of the massive bar prices??
Ben W — Google review
Saw Obituary. A decent sized venue. The sound was a bit muddy for the first support act, but cleared up quickly for the second band and was perfect for the main act. Couldn't tell you about the bar or booze prices as I don't drink. Over all a decent place to hold a gig.
The T — Google review
Waited in the little bar area besides the box office which they call the Green room. The service is shocking they don't know how to use a coffee machine. It isn't worth the ridiculous wait because the staff are extremely slow. Then service a shockingly quality coffee need to tighten the grind and understand timings. Also discusting. Spider webbs every where dead plants and tables shockingly dirty
Soulus — Google review
Have attended Bongo’s Bingo here several times as it’s the closest venue that hosts. The rating as listed pertains to the venue itself not the event! Bongos: 5/5. Such an amazing event lots of fun, would 100% recommend! Pros: Event is energy from start to finish, well-paced, interactive and makes you feel like a winner even if you don’t. Cons: tickets sell out fast (especially discounted VIP). Epic Studios: 2/5. I have yet to attend an event at this location where there wasn’t some massive issue with the experience from a facility perspective. Pros: Location is convenient. Has an off license located across the street in case you que early and want to enjoy the wait. You can order food and drinks to the table (a massive improvement over holding signs up). Cons: Food is meh, just sufficient, always seems to take a while is rarely is hot. Inefficient security process coming into the building. The bar seems to always be slower than ordering table side even when there is no que. The ladies’ toilets are always trashed by mid event and never seem to get restocked. Anytime there has been a security issue (fight, overtly drunk person), there never seems to be enough help to take care of the situation). One game we were sat right next to the stage under a screen when an altercation broke out in the long rows of table behind us. We got trapped as tables were pushed back and away. Took a while to assess and clear the area and attend to a young lady who was hit. Thankfully none of our party who was next to the party was kicked out, but from appearance its difficult to identify safety issues when you pack tables in with people’s backs touching. Tips: -Buy tickets early as they will sell out. If in doubt buy them for your entire party (you can just resell what you don’t use later). -Que early if you have a large group or want to be seated right by the stage or at the end of a row. -Don’t bring a massive bag; utilize the coat check if needed. You do not want your coat to fall on the ground inside. It gets nasty. - Have fun! Come in theme, fancy dress, etc. It’s a great environment to celebrate birthdays or a special event.

A great venue with amazing views and sound wherever you sit/stand due to the format of the performance space. The whole place feels really unique with attention to detail everywhere you look. A real gem in a fantastic city. You really should go and see for yourself. So many different acts to choose from.

A true gem in Norwich. The cafe is lovely and the food is very tasty. The park is just wonderful and so thought out. A great day for the children to play, run in and out of the water fountains. A magical place to visit

We recently visited Waterloo Park, and it was a delightful experience. The park is incredibly beautiful, featuring a large kids' water play area that was a hit with the children. The entire park is well-maintained, with clean grounds and gorgeous flowers blooming all over. There is also a small food area where you can buy treats like ice cream and chocolates, perfect for a quick snack while enjoying the park. The parking is quite small but it's free, which is a nice bonus. The attached images showcase the vibrant atmosphere and beautiful features of the park: 1. **Kids' Water Play Area**: The water play area is spacious and fun, as you can see from the numerous kids enjoying the water fountains. 2. **Beautiful Staircase**: One of the park's scenic spots is a grand stone staircase surrounded by lush gardens. 3. **Lovely Walkway**: The covered walkway offers a shaded path with picturesque views, perfect for a leisurely stroll. 4. **Park Map and Sign**: The entrance sign provides useful information about the park's layout and amenities. Overall, Waterloo Park is a fantastic place for families and nature lovers alike. We highly recommend visiting for a relaxing and enjoyable day out.

A brilliant park, particularly on sunny days when the splash pad is on. The cafe is also lovely and kid and dog friendly. It does get busy when it's warm and the car park can often be full but there is some parking on the road if necessary.

Lovely place for a dog walk. A few separate places to park dotted around the green space. Not particularly big and not a lot there but great a short walk
Steve D — Google review
Wow, such a hidden gem! I visited with my dog on a Friday morning around 8am. There’s a small car park by the main gates—it has very limited parking, but there were plenty of spaces when I arrived. The park is beautifully maintained, with plenty of bins for disposing of rubbish and dog poo. There are several paths, including one paved route that runs from the main gates to the back of the park. The other paths are grassy or dirt trails, clearly defined and easy to follow and all loop back round to eachother so you won’t get lost. They were quite wet and muddy due to the rain, but still lovely to walk around. The park is fairly large, and thanks to the many paths, you can wander for quite a while, always discovering something new—maybe even stumbling upon one of the statues on display. I’ll definitely be returning, and my dog thoroughly enjoyed herself too, with plenty to sniff!

Wonderful, large green area many walks, Woodland trails Oaks and Redwoods squirrels galore. Parking and plenty of benches to sit and enjoy . Wooden carvings of animals and birds dotted throughout the park . Large areas for children to run the wild things . Accessible with wheelchairs and buggies . Little bins and dog bins. Plenty. Fabulous place for kids, dogs and families and lone walkers .

Great place to unwind... early morning walks are a great way to start the day. Getting a bit boggy in places when it rains. Keep your eye out for the wooden carvings dotted around. Occasionally spoilt by out of control owners and their dogs. Evening walks in the summer sunshine are one of the highlights of a working week. Keep an eye out for all the carved wooden totems dotted around the park.

Beautiful short walk any time of the year. Great for dog walking as plenty of red bins. Also some interesting wooden sculptures to look at on the way round. There is a big felled log that my son loves to climb about on(the kids all seem to flock to it). A nice place in general for a family walk

Located in Mahoney Green, Green Lane West, Rackheath, NR13 6JY, Jump for Joy is a children's play center that offers a spacious and clean environment for kids to run, climb and slide. The facility features two soft play areas including a multistorey climbing frame for older kids and a separate section for babies and toddlers. With limited cafe offerings and an adults seating area, the center also provides party hosting services with food options such as healthy meals and cupcakes.
Came for a classmates birthday on 05.09.2021 and was pleasantly surprised. The place is very spacious and clean. 2 soft play areas, toddler height table for party food and cake, adults seating area, small limited cafe. Food provided (healthy and filling meal) and little party bags with a cupcake. Staff were organised and efficient, so well-practised in what they do. Due to Covid-19 only one party at a time which is nice as more space for children to run around. I would highly recommend this place. Very clean and tidy.

Fabulous soft play center and was the perfect venue for my sons birthday party. Staff were friendly and helpful and very accommodating for everyone who came. Can't recommend them enough!
Catherine R — Google review
Yes it doesn't feel claustrophobic as high ceilings. The issue I had is that kids can only play for an hour, the least. Once you were moved to the party/dining area for the kids they don't allow kids to play in the play area as staff said we tidy up as we got a next birthday guests reservations. But our kids won't be using the tables and chairs only the play area. But he wasn't allowed. They only serve, cold foods.
Edna C — Google review
Softplay itself is lovely, one member of staff seemed as if she didn't want to be there. I'd also highly suggest you take your own coffee as it was made from a machine and tasted very watered down. I have mentioned this the last time I was there but no changes. The children loved it and the lunches for them went down well :) would return but take my own coffee!
Eloise B — Google review
Went for little one's birthday party. Basically it has a multistorey climbing frame for older kids. As well as a ground floor section for babies/toddlers in a separate area. They also have a shop that sells snacks, hot food and drinks. Very friendly staff. About 13 minutes drive from city centre.

A very nice and welcoming soft play. Just went for a 2 hour morning session and everything was clean, tidy and there were plenty of tables to sit at. The bigger soft play was varied enough and the little under 4's one looked very good too. My little one (nearly 4) reports "I loved the big star slide the best" and I'd have to agree because we went on it about 10 times in a row. The coffee machine coffee gets served in a nice big mug rather than a paper or plastic cup. I had not realised at first but they have a small lunch menu - toasties, cold sandwiches and a limited filled jacket potato selection for kids lunches. Other than that, at the counter is a selection of crisps, biscuits/flapjacks, apples and bananas and some cold drinks. The prices I would say are good for such a small venue, I have come to expect eye watering costs from some places, and given you can't take your own food in I was quite relieved. I agree with some other reviews that the younger side of the 4-10s would get the most out of the bigger soft play but it is well worth a visit.

The Ethelbert Gate is a historic landmark located in Norwich, England. It is an important access point to the city centre and serves as an entrance to the historical Cathedral quarter. The gate is named after Ethelbert, one of the first Anglo-Saxon kings who ruled in Britain in the 5th century.
Ornately decorated stone gateway to the cathedral grounds, built around 1316 to replace an older gate destroyed by fire around 40 years earlier. Worth stopping to admire the impressive stone carvings, striking flint detailing and gothic arches as you pass through - just be aware it's still used by pedestrian and road traffic.

Beautiful gate from the 12th century that leads you to the Norwich Cathederal and School. When you enter, you will actually see the cathederals spire in front of you. Just think about all the people before is that have walked through this. Just adding yourself to the history. It is an active roadway, so both pedestrians and vehicles will be using it.

As gates go, pretty impressive. Imagine this huge erection at the end of your driveway! Could be turned into an electric gate, or employ a hunchback to do the honours of swinging open its massive gape. When it rains, tourists huddle beneath it as if their faces would melt if water got on them, trapped like sheep between rain and rain. Usual chatter about how heavy the rain is and when it may or may not stop, ensue. What wet fun they miss, huddled beneath old bricks.

Now the refurbishment is nearly done still odd bits need doing near the Oscar bar,the seating is lovely very comfortable, the front walk way is so much better now that the old tills have gone, but I use the disabled toilet but it had no toilet roll or hand soap this need to be sorted right away and regular checks signed off,one other thing is the protector room lightning needs to be checked and switched off as it was left on half way through a movie light up the back row,few tune ups need sorting but other than that I love the new look, photos of the look and the bright light

What a turnaround for this particular Odeon! Last time I went it was tired, shabby and dirty. Since it’s refurb it’s spotless, beautifully done out and now with the super comfy recliner seats. Excellent value for half term at only £5 per person to go see Casper. Bought a family bundle of snacks which was 1 HUMONGOUS bucket of popcorn, 2 large drinks and 2 kids mixes which cost an exceptionally reasonable £18.99. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, all full of smiles and happy to interact with not just us but all other patrons.
Hatsontour — Google review
Have recently purchased the limitless membership for £14.99- considering this is the price of a film now it’s very good value. With Norwich being an imax it meant that I couldn’t access the films for free- so had to pay an additional £8. But never mind- I’ve now upgraded again. The seats are very comfy, with good recline, and tray for drinks and snacks. The cinema is always empty in the day when I go so have lots of choice for seats. Lots of options for Pick n mix, alcoholic drinks and a costa at the front. Snack are expensive but what you’d expect from a cinema. All in all happy with my membership and the Norwich odeon.
Nick M — Google review
Clean, comfortable, and friendly Odeon Norwich gets the basics exactly right. The cinema is spotless, and the seats are genuinely comfortable. The staff are warm and helpful, the best part of the experience, really. Yes, the film selection is a bit limited (often identical to Vue—coincidence, or cartel?), and the food leans heavily toward the usual sugary and salty suspects. But to be fair, those seem to be standard limitations across most cinemas. Do they still get five stars? Honestly, yes, mainly thanks to the outstanding staff, who somehow manage to make the whole thing feel like more than just another corporate chain.
Stephen B — Google review
I wasn’t impressed at all with the new layout! Yes the seats comfortable and roomy but the food and drink ordering is ridiculous! I’m disabled, use a crutch and am neurodiverse and I asked for help ordering popcorn n drinks but was left for over 10 minutes with no one helping me! There wasn’t enough staff and lots of people were complaining about the ordering machines/systems! It’s over complicated and bring back the easy options and offer help to those needing it. It has put me off going there again which is a shame because I love the cinema!

May have upgraded the seats etc but if the film doesn't play and continoius stutters so bad for first 15 mins that you no idea of the plot there's no point. They didnt know how to fix it or understand how it affected the expereince. Walked out and got refund. Definitely not worth over 20 quid for 2 tickets on a week day. 0 compensation offered either. Very sad as was really looking forward to the film. It also wasn't the first time they'd had this issue!!
Lydia B — Google review
Just been to watch a film. The screen layout was wrong so sat in the seat as shown in the app. A rude member of staff who I was told is named Zia humiliated me on front of a full screen of people. He said “I don’t care what the app says you in the wrong seat and frog marched me to the other seat. When I said to wanted to complain he said “do what you like” official complaint also made to head office. This has happened a lot in last 3 minutes months due to an update on the screen plan on the app. Have annual ticket but the way I feel now I don’t want to go back as was made to feel like a piece of poop.

The Vue Cinema Norwich is a state-of-the-art cinema where tickets are reasonably priced and the concession prices are good. The popcorn is always fresh and the staff are friendly and informative. The seats are only a 4/5, but VIP seats are worth it but not always available.
The cinema was clean, had quality screen and sound. Very comfortable, adjustable recliners with spacious legroom. We were sitting for over two hours and we all felt very relaxed the whole time. Good location as it’s in the shopping centre or you can walk in via the street. We booked online via our workplace discount. The staff were lovely too.

My boyfriend and I went to see the new Superman movie today, apart from the air conditioning being broken on a 30 degree day it was a good movie experience. The food service before the movie was absolutely fine and went really smoothly, even when scanning our tickets. I would give this a 2 star but hoping a 1 star might get some more attention. There was a lady working at the ticket stand when we left the movie and I have had previous experiences with her where she has been obnoxious and patronising. She is always shouting at people and my boyfriend even overheard her complaining loudly about customers to other customers. We came out of the movie ready to throw our food in the bin. Firstly, we were debating what to throw away and she just watched us do it which was very uncomfortable. Then she proceeded to tell us that the tango ice blast cup we had was refillable which we didn’t ask for. We went to go and fill it back up, but she followed us over and told us off ridiculously loudly and rudely as if both of us must’ve misheard her and it was in fact not refillable. This was just so embarrassing for us and definitely not how we wanted to end our positive experience. I really hope this gets some attention because I have always had awful experiences with her. Unfortunately, I do not have a name but hope to find out soon, she had a very short hair cut, a loud screechy voice and glasses I think. I want to finish this off by saying I hope I never see her again as she should absolutely not be working on a face to face basis with customers.

I went expecting some mediocre cinima and what do I find there there are confy recliner seats with small tables that can move the room is really quite and dark and the seats are positioned where you can't see the heads if people infront of you. The food us quite expensive but the popcorn is amazing the staff are really kind and helpful
Dj S — Google review
The leather reclining seats are nice. Easy to get to from the car park. Facilities relatively clean and tidy. Plenty of staff on duty.
Chris B — Google review
I use Vue all the time to see the new films out and the service and prices are getting worse and worse. Me and my boyfriend went to see a film late one evening and arrived with plenty of time to kill. I queued up at the tills to grab a small drink and popcorn and he queued up at the ice cream stand. I ordered a small drink and small popcorn which came to around £12 which seems like a wild price for 2 small items. My boyfriend wanted a milkshake and was queueing by the ice cream stand for ages before he was even acknowledged. There are 5 or 6 different tills but only ever 1 person taking orders. To top things off, my boyfriend was then told that he had to join the back of the queue by the tills which was now filled with 10+ people, if he wanted to order ice cream. Awful service and organisation from the staff. Why have a stand if you can't queue there? Safe to say we won't be ordering any food or drinks when we visit next time.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (5 stars) New recliner feel luxury and comfy, Popcorn is huge, Staff are so friendly, Already planning our next trip! NEW REVIEW (4 stars After our most recent experience with VUE Norwich I have a few things to say VUE is still a nice cinema with nice modern seats that are quite big and comfy Popcorn and drink sizes are still huge, but no longer sells Coke products, just Pepsi products now Staff has dropped a few levels but still nice just don’t really care and doesn’t even bother to check your ticket Lights are blinding in the screen and projection didn’t look like it was aligned with the small screen properly Will most likely come back but odeon seems like a better option at the moment!
Ryan P — Google review
Arrived half hour early but couldn't get in as they were cleaning (understandable). They didn't let us in until after the feature had started so we missed the opening of the film. Customer services didn't seem interested in making it right.

Very disappointed! My husband was given a gift card for his birthday. When I came to using it the girl on the desk said that she couldn't take gift cards. Why give the option of giving these cards if you then can't use them!

Nestled along the picturesque banks of the River Wensum, The Adrian Flux Waterfront stands as a vibrant hub for music lovers and nightlife enthusiasts alike. Originally established in 1990 by Norwich City Council, this dynamic venue is now operated by the Union of UEA Students and has become one of Norwich's premier destinations for live performances.
Absolutely great little venue with a lots of music history. When lucky enough to see a big name gig you will be enjoying great Norwich crowd. DJ Shadow Action Adventure pt2 was a bliss
Mikolaj G — Google review
Wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone with a disability. You get cattlepenned to the side/back of the stage. You can't see much of the stage due to the speakers and equipment being in the way, and the fact that you're behind the speakers means you can't hear the music very well at all. It's muffled and almost completely drowned out by the drums. You feel completely disconnected from everything that's going on. Shocking that so little thought is given to this in a music venue!! Definitely won't be seeing any more shows here. Really disappointing!
L N — Google review
I’ve gone to some great gigs here and been dragged to a few stinkers - but that’s nothing to do with the venue. I like it here. The sound is great, the stage is wide, low and intimate, and the bar is decent. The massive posts (which are obviously there to hold the ceiling up) are a massive pain though, and unless you are quite near the front, a clear view of the stage can be tough to find when it’s rammed. Damn those posts!
David D — Google review

Great venue for seeing live music, and having some drinks. God service and fair prices. Plenty of toilets now there's some on the far side too. But the new ones have no mirrors, or at least that's the case in the female ones... I imagine they are still to come?...

My fave venue in Norwich. You get to see the bands up close and there's always a good atmosphere. Nicely stocked bar and ots close enough to the station so that you don't have to leave early to catch the last train.

08.06.2024 Came for a party. Was really hot inside! Staff were very attentive. 1 hour bouncing and 1 hour eating. Slushies were £5.99 with free refills. Food came out hot and fresh. Would recommend as is a good place to burn off some energy. Free parking if parked at Riverside car park, can validate your own ticket at the counter.

Absolutely diabolical check in. My grandsons 6th birthday party and had to wait over an hour to get people checked in. The manager tried to blame the party rather than rectifying issues. No offer of apology would certainly not recommend.

Excellent place to wear the kids out, everyone loves bouncing. If bouncing isn't your thing there are several climbing walls to keep them amused. Cafe/coffee shop for those adults that don't fancy feeling old the next day.

Great night out, not too busy pleasant staff. Music was amazing the Liquid Engineers, a Gary Numan tribute. Highly recommend but limited parking. We got a taxi.

The environment, The team and food was worth the visit. But 2 blonde ladies 1 named little Taylor, I guess taking part in the open mic. Sat together at a table at the end of the made the visit uncomfortable just because I was minding my own business about 6 ft away started being completely rude, obnoxious and insulting of me just because I have a shaved head due to being in my 40's, and she was not much younger.

If you're a student at the University of East Anglia, you can't miss out on the LCR, affectionately known as the Lower Common Room. This vibrant nightclub has been a staple in Norwich's music scene for over three decades, hosting an impressive lineup of live performances that cater to students' diverse tastes. With a capacity of up to 2,000 people, it stands as the largest club in the city and is conveniently located near the student union.
The venue was well organised and clearly they had good plans in place for the demand. The access was good, parking was plentiful but a short walk away. The night was fantastic but that was more the music! The bar was quick and reasonably priced. Other than a little too much demand for the gender neutral toilets the whole event was well done and I would attend something similar again. #hooky24

Good place to watch bands good views from where ever you are. (Car parking is cash only 🙄) but cheap. Toilets are Gender neutral. So lady’s you may have wee all over the floor from us men with bad aim.

The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because of location. Thankfully, I found a hotel on campus but it filled quickly. The atmosphere was incredible though, one of my favorite gigs I’ve been to. Intimate, smaller, yet so intense (in the best way). And security and medical handled things wonderfully! I felt safe and had an INCREDIBLE time. (They also offer a disability area!)
Megan S — Google review

My favourite place for gigs in Norwich. The LCR has always been really great for seeing my favourite artists live. It’s a great price, the sound quality is amazing, I can always see the artist clearly, the venue staff are very friendly and helpful, and they usually give you posters at the end. If your favourite artists are playing here, buy those tickets !

Nice little venue. Car park can be a bit of hit and miss, machine at the entrance has run out of tokens so after using built intercom I’ve been finally let in even though bloke could not understand me and I couldn’t understand him 🤷‍♂️ staff at the entrance was polite and helpful with directions to the coat storage area, ticket processing was quick and easy. Toilets are unisex, clean and kept in good condition. Coat storage was 1.75 per item which was reasonable, card payments accepted. Overall it was quite well organised.

Embark on a thrilling adventure at Norwich Guildhall with the History Mystery Escape Game. Choose from four different escape rooms, each offering a unique challenge. In Archived Alive, free the city historian from the archive vault, while in Body of Evidence, piece together clues to solve a murder. At The Museum of Norwich's Merchants' Vaults, build your riches to survive in the past and at KindaKafe's undercroft uncover Secrets of the Tunnels to rescue a disappeared historian.
We had an excellent time and really enjoyed ourselves. Our GM Lisa was really friendly and made us feel really welcome. The game itself was the fastest hour ever and was superb fun! Will be checking out other escape games based on this experience. Thanks for much for a great time! :)
James J — Google review
A fun experience, my first escape room was challenging but engaging and intuitive. We experienced a minor problem with a lock that hadn't been reset properly, but our game master Maisie fixed the issue and gave us more time on the clock to make up for it. I'd definitely recommend this.
Peter R — Google review
Great fun for an hour's entertainment. Although our party of 6 new comers to "escape rooms" did not escape we had a good time trying and will definitely be booking another one soon. Our "games master" Ben who looked after us and gave us hints if required was excellent. I would highly recommend anyone to give this ago. ***** star all the way 👍😀
JASON B — Google review
What great fun this was!! Lisa was excellent as our Games Master and so patient, as we arent the sharpest tools in the box and only made it as far as room 3 of the puzzle (ie failed to complete it!!) It didnt matter though as we all had brilliant fun and would highly rate this for anyone. The youngest in our group was 12yrs and she helped out with a lot of clues. Great for anyone over around 10yrs as part of a team. We would definitely do this again!

Merchant vaults was a Fantastic escape room, puzzles were excellent and very unique. Brilliant setting helped along with a fantastic staff member Rosie. Fully embodies the story we were in and plays a fantastic character. Will definitely be doing the other escape rooms on offer.

Absolutely excellent way to spend an hour with friends. We only just beat the clock but had a brilliant time and felt a real sense of triumph at the end. Lots of different skills needed so everyone had a chance to contribute. Highly recommended as a fun thing to do with friends or a team-building activity with colleagues. Just brilliant!
Lesley H — Google review
This was our first escape room but we had heard good things about them. Rosie was amazing. She explained it all too us and ran through the rules an kept us entertained along the way with her great sense of humour. We managed to get to the third room (out of four) before we ran out of time. We are hooked now and will soon do another one. Thanks Rosie!
Tim W — Google review
This isn’t the first escape room that I’ve had the pleasure to enjoy but, it defiantly has to be one of the best. Our game master Kaitlin informed us that it was her first day but, honestly you wouldn’t have known. She was very passionate in explaining the game that we were about to take part in. If you’ve never even considered an escape room before, or you’re a professional escape artist, BODY OF EVIDENCE is a brilliant way to spend your afternoon!
