Nestled at the pinnacle of the historic Street of the Knights, the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes stands as a magnificent testament to medieval architecture and history. Originally constructed by the Knights Hospitaller in the early 14th century, this imposing fortress was built atop an earlier Byzantine stronghold from the 7th century. Once serving as both a grand residence and administrative hub for these valiant knights, it has witnessed centuries of change.
Tickets are 20 EUR, but honestly, it’s worth it, the palace is stunning, with beautifully preserved halls, mosaics and a real sense of history. The inner courtyard is impressive, and walking through the massive stone corridors feels like stepping back in time. Try to visit early in the day to avoid crowds and the heat. It’s one of the must-see landmarks in Rhodes Old Town.
Miodrag J — Google review
This place is so neat! Tickets are 20Euro or about $23 USD. Get there as early as you can, it gets crowded fast. Amazing restored rooms and furniture and so much to learn and see. It is an impressive building and beautifully decorated. There is a wonderful museum at the end to view as well.
Emily E — Google review
I went on the castle walls and honestly for 5 euro it was a lot of fun! It's a nice walk and you get a nice view of the town. I will say that there are no benches or shade so it can be intense in the heat so ensure you have water.
Ella T — Google review
Not just a medieval palace, a real voyage in time. We visited the Palace of the Grand Master on a Sunday morning and it seems like we got there before the crowds. We had plenty of time to visit every room and also the opportunity to snap a lot of pictures without too many people around. First things first, the Palace is in pristine condition. I was expecting a nice place but this visit totally blew our minds. It's big, and I mean BIG. Lots of history, stunning architecture, and even more. There are a few places you visit where you feel like words aren't enough to describe, this is one of them. It seems like every room we visited brought a new dimension to the history of the place and wowed us with mosaics, furniture, views or just absolute grandeur. We were lucky enough to visit during a museum day so we got the chance to visit for free, but to be honest, it's totally worth the regular price ice of admission. Take the time to stop by the windows and take a look outside, views are amazing at almost all of them.
Francois B — Google review
A magical place full of history and beauty! I absolutely loved the stunning architecture of the Palace of the Grand Master — as soon as I walked in, it felt like stepping into a Disney movie! Every artifact inside the museum is so well preserved, and the royal rooms are simply beautiful. The atmosphere takes you back in time, letting you imagine the life of the knights who once lived here. The ticket was €20, but it was totally worth it. A must-visit when in Rhodes!
Xhulia P — Google review
Fantastic - really worth a visit. The architecture of the Palace is wonderful. All of the artifacts inside the museum are well preserved, and the various rooms are terrific to see. It was not overly busy when we went and the tickets were ~€20, but worth it.

History Museums
The Archaeological Museum of Rhodes, located in the Old Town, is housed in the Medieval building of the hospital of the knights. It showcases ancient artifacts and art from excavations all over the island and small islets of Dodecanese. The collection includes figurines, vases, tomb groups, small objects from Ancient Ialyssos and Kameiros dating from Geometric to Roman times.
An enormous collection housed in a beautiful structure, the Museum is a must see! A carefully curated history of Rhodes in antiquity, there are hundreds of artefacts to admire. Allow plenty of time but be aware some galleries do not permit photography! Other exhibitions are not open on a Tuesday. There are some idyllic little gardens to admire too along the way, and the structure itself is beautiful. Highly recommended, just allow plenty of time!
Tim S — Google review
In my opinion, this is the most interesting tourist attraction inside the Rhodes citadel. What makes this museum stand out compared to others of its kind is that it is housed in the former hospital of the Knights Hospitaller, giving it an architecture and atmosphere completely different from a typical museum. Positive points: The entire complex is like an oasis of peace in the heart of the citadel — although you’re only 10–15 meters away from the hustle and bustle of the old town’s streets, you feel as if you have the place all to yourself. The impressive architecture. The garden, where you can sit for hours and relax (especially pleasant in the evening). Unique views of the surrounding streets (such as the famous Street of the Knights). Well-organized collections that illustrate the three major civilizations that shaped the island: Greek, Venetian, and Ottoman. Negative points: The museum’s various sections don’t share the same closing/opening hours. Some close much earlier than the times displayed at the entrance. (For example, we visited twice but never managed to see the harem.) To fully enjoy the museum, it’s best to arrive in the morning or, at the latest, around lunchtime. Little information available or, in some cases, no information at all. Bonus point: For just a few euros more, you can purchase a combined ticket that grants access to several attractions: the Archaeological Museum, the Palace of the Grand Master, the Museum of Decorative Arts, and the Church of Our Lady of the Castle (the last two are more suited for true history enthusiasts, or for tourists with plenty of time on their hands.)
Catalin H — Google review
An absolutely gorgeous museum. You get to feel the aura and the vibe of the old town without the crowds. We had the entire place to ourself and it was magical. The old hospital was gorgeous and the artifacts were very well preserved. A truly magical place.
Aarush A — Google review
Majestic, grandiose, the walls of this grand place echoes the sound of the knights that used to gather there in big ceremonies, celebrating their victories. Very well preserved, shows the eras that passed in Rhodes and the political and cultural side of the rich island.
Christine R — Google review
I really liked it, but here is something nobody is telling you about: some exhibitions are opened in certain hours&days only. I literally came for the prehistoric period and didn't get to see it as I was 30 minutes late for it. Thursday, Tuesdays and Saturdays only, 9 to 16:50. Rather visit in these times to be able to fully enjoy the otherwise great museum with rich exhibition.
Marin K — Google review
The museum is so beautiful with the garden and areas to sit and enjoy the sun. The statues are so incredible to see in person especially the tumbled one that was found in the ocean. I highly recommend i was in a rush to to a booking but I was there for 2 hours and didn't even realise! I went late September around 5pm and there was like no one there it was great!
Ella T — Google review
The Archaeological Museum of Rhodes is a must if you're even a little curious about the island's history. Located inside the medieval Hospital of the Knights. The building alone is impressive. The exhibits cover a wide range, statues, mosaics, ceramics, jewelry, from ancient Greece through medieval times. The gardens are peaceful and the layout is easy to follow. Entry is 10 eur. It can get warm inside, so bring water. Great cultural stop to escape the sun for a bit and learn something real.
Miodrag J — Google review
Been to Rhodes old town many times, but never managed to go into the museum. I would say it's a must visit. It was much bigger than we thought and the main large room that used to be the original hospital ward was breathtaking, much larger than expected. So many rooms with various prices of pottery and artefacts from over the years. Including a couple of rooms with some fantastic marble sculptures. I would also recommend visiting the garden to the back as it was a lively place to sit and cool down at the end of the day.

Ancient Ruins
Lindos Acropolis is an ancient citadel located on a steep cliff with stunning sea views. It offers a glimpse into prehistoric sites such as the nearby Acropolis of Lindos and Rhodes, along with ancient Minoan artifacts dating back over 3,000 years. Nature lovers can explore the Valley of Butterflies and enjoy miles of sunny beaches.
Lindos Acropolis is a must-visit when on Rhodes. The combination of ancient ruins, dramatic cliffs and panoramic sea views is unforgettable. Tickets are 20 euros per adult and it's smart to buy them in advance to skip the line, we waited around 15 minutes. Along the way there are QR codes you can scan to buy tickets online, but if you're already close to the entrance, it might be quicker to just wait in line. The path up is steep and not secured with handrails, so be careful, especially with kids. Wear good shoes and bring a hat or cap, as it gets very hot during the day. Once at the top, you're rewarded with stunning views over Lindos Bay and the white town below. The site has some restored areas and informational signs. Go early if you want to avoid the crowds and the heat. A mix of history, nature and views that truly makes it one of the island’s highlights. Worth every step.
Miodrag J — Google review
The view and scenery were simply stunning!🤩the only complain comes from the route to the temple, it is quite difficult as the terrain was hard to walk and no safety rails whatsoever exists, lots of other people going. Anyway, I'd recommend this as one-time visit if above points are not blockers👍🏼tickets 20€/person at the gates
YArIk Y — Google review
The Acropolis itself is impressive and fascinating to explore, but for me the real highlight was the breathtaking view of the surroundings - the beaches, Lindos, and the mountains. From the top, the scenery is absolutely spectacular. We arrived right at 8:00 in the morning and were able to enjoy the site before it became crowded with other visitors. The walk up to the Acropolis is also very pleasant, offering beautiful side views of Lindos along the way. Tickets cost €20 per person, which may feel a little overpriced, but I would still highly recommend the experience - it’s definitely worth it.
Ajdin M — Google review
Beautiful place with stunning views over Lindos and the sea, definitely worth visiting! However, the €20 entrance fee felt a bit high, especially since there was no guide or detailed information to explain what you see. Even at the end of the season it was very crowded, with a long wait at the ticket office. Keep in mind there’s a steep walk with many steps, so bring water and good shoes. Best to visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the heat and the crowds.
Chara T — Google review
We visited in low season (end of October) and the wait was under 10 mins. This is an incredible archeological site in a beautiful location. Watch your step as we saw a couple of people slip and trip (they do warn you to take care). Well worth the visit. Fresh orange juice available in the cafe with a wonderful view.
Jo C — Google review
What an absolutely gorgeous place. Please do not let the €20 entrance and walk up the stairs deter you from coming. This is a very well preserved and gorgeous historical site. Yes the Greek heat and the climb will tire you out but it is absolutely worth the views and the feel of history. Plus you can always get a beer on the way down there are plenty of places available in the town :)
Aarush A — Google review
A good mix of preserved ancient and recreated splendour. There are plenty of signs in greek and English explaining what you are looking at. The view from the top is brilliant. We drove ourselves there; parking was available in October for €7. This is not wheelchair friendly.
David R — Google review
Enjoyable morning visiting the Lindos Acropolis. Very busy walking up the hill, through the town and the pebble paths can be slippy in places but its worth the walk. There is a much quieter and less steep path for a pretty walk back down with good views of the harbour and back up at the Acropolis.

Ancient Ruins
The Acropolis of Rhodes is a significant ancient site located in the capital of the island, on Monte Smith. It features various structures such as a stadium and theater, offering visitors a glimpse into the long-standing settlement's history. Additionally, nearby attractions include the Acropolis of Lindos and ancient Minoan artifacts dating back over 3,000 years. Nature enthusiasts can explore the Valley of Butterflies with its unique flora and fauna.
Step Back in Time – Exploring the Acropolis of Rhodes and Surrounding Ancient Wonders Visiting the Acropolis of Rhodes is like walking through a portal into ancient history. Perched on Monte Smith hill and surrounded by greenery, the site is a treasure trove of remarkable ruins, each whispering stories from over 2,300 years ago. Start your journey with the Olympic Stadium, beautifully preserved and still echoing the spirit of ancient athleticism. You can almost picture the competitions that once took place here. Just a short walk away, you’ll find the small but impressive Odeon, a Roman-era theater that once hosted music and poetry performances – it’s a peaceful spot that brings the grandeur of the past to life. The crown jewel, of course, is the Temple of Apollo, with its tall columns standing proudly against the sky. Though partially restored, the site still evokes the sacred atmosphere of classical worship. As you explore further, you’ll come across scattered ruins, columns, and steps that once formed temples, sanctuaries, and public spaces — all part of the ancient city’s rich tapestry. Besides the historical significance, the views from the hilltop are absolutely stunning. Overlooking the sea and the modern town of Rhodes, it’s a perfect mix of natural beauty and cultural depth. Don’t be surprised if you lose track of time — there’s something new to admire around every corner. A few tips: • Wear comfortable sneakers – the paths are uneven, and you’ll be doing a fair bit of walking. • Bring plenty of water, especially in summer – shade is limited, and the sun can be intense. • A camera is a must – both for the ruins and the sweeping panoramic views. In short: This area is a must-see for history lovers, architecture buffs, or anyone who wants to experience the soul of ancient Greece. It’s not just a sightseeing spot — it’s an experience that transports you centuries into the past. Don’t miss it while you’re in Rhodes!
Ion D — Google review
A fascinating area of Hellenistic archeology. The arena is particularly stunning. Tip- you can enter the site from the top or bottom ends (google maps takes you to the top). Roadways make access to some parts accessible. Drift amongst the ruins and admire the massive collection of labelled artefacts that presumably need sorting through! There is also a pleasant café and toilets.
Peter S — Google review
Very nice acropolis on top of the hill. You can walk from the center of the town or take a bus. There’s a café at the entrance with lots of seating and parking. You can park there. The entire site is comprised of the stadium, the amphitheater, ruins of the Apollon temple, and the Artemis (though only the foundations remain for that one). On Sunday, the site visit was free of charge otherwise it was €10 per person for adults. You can stroll around and look at this marvelous site. I suggest some good footwear because the paths around the site are sometimes rough.
Oliviu G — Google review
Not the flashiest of ancient ruins, but the stadium and Odeon are well preserved and the placards tell the story of an ancient academy that can be easily seen from the ruins outliyon the grounds. There isn't much left of the Temple of Apollo or the Temple of Artemis because they were heavily bombed in WW 2 but there are some ruins and good explanatory displays. If you have more than a day in Rhodes it's worth the visit. It's free, quiet and has great views. A peaceful respite compared to the huge crowds of the Old Town.
Adam Z — Google review
This was such an interesting visit, still lots of work to do but amazing to see remains of the temple, arena and theatre. The size is just mind blowing and if these stones could talk….. Thoroughly recommend, it is definitely worth a visit. There are toilets within the wall on the left on the way down from the temple. Great little cafe, Acropolis cafe, at the bottom with tasty cake and reasonable prices, coffee lovely. Currently no charge to visit the Acropolis so why not? I hope they continue developing this site as it would be absolutely amazing. Has more to see than Acropolis at Lindos in my humble opinion!
Nicola W — Google review
Very good, picturesque walk to and from the acropolis. If you’re staying in Rhodes town definitely do go, it’s worth seeing some ancient history and reading about what it signified. We went on a Saturday morning and didn’t pay for any tickets which was a bonus. They also have a little gallery with the history of the excavations and there are toilets nearby.
Ewa J — Google review
Acropolis itself isn't very impressive sadly, but they're making some adjustments or renovations, not sure. Perhaps it will be interesting when the construction finishes. Right now it's not very worth. Better visit the stadium and scene/odeon. This is the location of the Acropoli, not the complex itself
Marin K — Google review
Asides from the fact that it was on renovation when I visited, safe to say it’s okay to take 30 mins of your time to visit the monument. You not only see the Acropolis but the stadium right behind it. Parking is free, less crowded, entrance is free as well.

Observation Decks & Towers
The Medieval Clock Tower, originally built in the 7th century, is a prominent landmark in Rhodes Town. The tower was reconstructed in 1852 with baroque elements after being damaged by an explosion. Visitors can climb to the observation deck for stunning panoramic views of the medieval layout of the town and beyond.
Seriously a little hidden gem! €5 to climb and a free drink!! Kids are free. We had a so much fun climbing the little tower, even with young kids it wasn’t too overwhelming. The view was breathtaking and the drink was relaxing! Very good experience in old town!!
Sarah S — Google review
€5 Euro each to enter (Adult). Free drink at the bar. Perfect views across roads old town if you manage to get up there for sunset. We hit it lucky and just came across the clock tower at the right time!
Kyle C — Google review
A tourist attraction you shouldn’t miss! The Clock Tower is just a few steps away from one of the busiest streets in the medieval city of Rhodes, so getting there is quick and easy. The entrance ticket is very affordable, and it even comes with a free drink that you can enjoy on the terrace after your visit. You can pick a soft drink or something alcoholic. We went for the alcoholic option — let’s just say it wasn’t amazing, but at that price, who’s complaining? The real highlight is the view: absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset. Even if you don’t make it all the way to the top, you can still admire the impressive city walls, including the Bastion of St. George and the Spanish Bastion. And don’t forget to wander around the little streets near the tower, they’re incredibly picturesque and full of charm. A couple of things to keep in mind: Sunset is the best time to visit, but also the busiest, so expect crowds. To reach the top, you’ll need to climb narrow, winding wooden stairs. If you have issues with vertigo, high blood pressure, or simply don’t like heights, you might want to stick to the terrace or the first floor.
Catalin H — Google review
The tower is not very high, but you still get a spectacular view on old town Rhodes and the climb is really short and easy. Ticket is 5 euros and includes a drink of your choice (coffee, soft drinks, wine or beer) at the bar on site - a perfect place to take a short break in the shade. There's also a WC at the bar.
Rita R — Google review
Neat thing to do and enjoy a local beer. 83 steps to the top. Good views. Good beer. Nice restrooms. 5 euros a person and includes a drink.
Lulu C — Google review
The clock tower was worth every cent. The view over the old town of Rhodes is amazing. With the ticket for only 5 euros, you also get a free drink at the bar. All in all, we would definitely come back.
Stephan H — Google review
5€ + drink to go up a clock tower! I am amazed! Considered coming again after dark. Great view towards the mosque and the city. Very kind people. Watch your head while climbing up the stairs. A good way to spend some time.

Seven Springs, also known as Epta Piges, is a serene natural oasis located between Kolympia and Archipolis on Rhodes Island. This hidden gem is surrounded by lush forestry and offers a refreshing escape from the island's heat. The area features seven springs and a man-made lake that can be accessed through a narrow tunnel built in 1931.
A great place to cool off in the scorching heat. The kids enjoyed the tunnel where a stream flows, and the water is refreshing. Beautiful surroundings. We were here at the beginning of June, and it was already a bit of a challenge to find a free parking spot, but we managed. Entrance is free, and parking is also free.
Michal D — Google review
Definitely worth a visit if you're in Rhodes. Not far from the main 95 road, Rhodes town to Lindos. The tunnel was interesting. Remember to take your shoes with you as you can’t U turn and it’s approximately 400 metres. The waterfall is actually a man made dam and don’t expect to see much flowing over it in the height of summer. Be careful in the 7 springs walk as you can easily get lost. It’s a fair uphill hike so make sure you have water. There’s next to no signage at all so wandering is only for those with a good sense of direction. A good cafe close to the far size car parks. Reasonable price for drinks and donuts. Toilets on site that are free and so is entry.Definitely a different experience!
Mark C — Google review
Well this is a lovely spot in nature and the tunnel is definitely cool and worth walking through. If you're a bit nervous about the dark, use the light on your phone. The passage is quite low and narrow, so if you're claustrophobic, it's time to face your fears or give it a miss. The water is refreshing and maybe 8 inches deep. Can be done in bare feet or flip flops. At tge end of the tunnel is the dam and lake (or large puddle). As others have said its a nice few hours in nature with the peacocks and ducks. The seven springs themselves are beside the restaurant. I only had a cool drink, but the food coming out to others looked very good and people seemed to be enjoying it. I only gave 4 stars as there was no water going over the dam. As a side there were lots of children enjoying themselves.

This is everything you will see there, plus a couple of dozen of peacocks. It is solely promoted for the restaurant there. I gave 1 star because we went to see an actual spring, lake, tunnel etc but the photos will be all of those you see. And some hiking routes. You can have a really nice lunch or dinner in a forest environment in the restaurant there, but seven springs is a pure promotion material to attract tourists to come there and meanwhile have a meal at the restaurant. We regretted losing half an hour there trying to find an actual spring or lake, instead of continuing straight to Zeus temple ruins..

We took the bus from Rhodes Town, and the ride was over 1.5 hours, a bit tiring. You can’t buy a return ticket at the stop, and buses aren’t very frequent, so plan ahead. Once there, the nature is nice, but to be honest, not much more than that. It’s a good spot if you enjoy peaceful walks through the forest, but don’t expect anything too spectacular. Worth a visit only if you really want a nature break.
Miodrag J — Google review
Many people look for the dam in the wrong place because there are no clear signs. If you google “Seven Springs Dam,” you’ll find it. The wooded area behind the restaurant, near the “springs,” is actually quite dangerous. The paths run along steep cliffs and can be slippery. The tunnel leading from the restaurant/springs to the lake and dam is an exciting experience.
JS — Google review
Nice bit of nature, plenty of trees and water. Good to sit and chill out for a bit. Worth it just for the tunnel walk to the lake. Long pitch black tunnel with cold water running through. It's low and narrow so be prepared to crouch down a bit if you are over about 5ft 10. Free to go, gift shop and a restaurant. I will let the photos say the rest.

Superb place hidden in the middle of Rhodes island. There are a few fresh water springs, a lake an amazing little artificial waterfall. No entrance fee or parking fee. Just go and enjoy the sights for no cost at all. The amazing thing is that there is a restaurant( Greek taverna) and there are peacocks everywhere even besides the tables. We also saw baby peacocks.

Museum
Aquarium of Rhodes - Hydrobiological Station HCMR is a charming, art deco-style aquarium that has been a popular destination since the 1930s. The museum showcases a variety of native Greek sea life, including sea anemones, octopuses, sharks, dolphins, and more. The creatures are housed in an 80,000-liter tank designed to resemble an underwater cave.
The aquarium is amazing! First of all, I loved how there were fossils of prehistoric animals, and a petting spot where you could touch shells. Next, I loved the fish and marine life that was on display! It was quite fun to look at all the different native, but also non-native species, and discover a little more about them. And, lastly, I loved the many other fossils of other sea creatures and or parts of their skeleton. I hope you enjoy your trip here because I definitely did!
Mihail G — Google review
The Aquarium of Rhodes is small but worth a visit if you're nearby and interested in marine life. The entrance fee is €6.5, and the visit takes around 15–20 minutes if you take your time. The tanks are smaller and feature signs explaining the species inside, from starfish and small crabs to fish native to the area. The cave-like interior design is quite unique and will likely be especially fun for kids. The building is accessible, with an elevator available for visitors with mobility issues. It’s open daily from 9:00 to 20:00. Don’t expect something spectacular, but for the price, it offers a pleasant and educational break.
Miodrag J — Google review
This is a nice place to visit, where you'll encounter various interesting species from the marine world. It's quite enjoyable, especially for children. However, it's worth noting that it is a relatively small venue, and the entrance fee is a bit high in comparison. You can expect to spend approximately 30 to 60 minutes here.
Elias I — Google review
Such a cute aquarium, good price for what there is and free for under 18s. I liked that you ended with a section on prehistoric animals but thought there could've been a little more on them. The fish and that were cuties.
Ava C — Google review
You could probably visit the whole thing in 30 mins or less. It's basically a corridor crafted to in the liking of an underwater cave, while the floor is paved by white and black pebbles. The tanks are inside the walls, left and right. It might be less than 20 tanks inside. Most of the species are local, with only a few giant fish species. There's not much information about the fish, but they do say their names in English. In the hallway, there's a tank you can touch different shells, a quiz game about aquatic life and a small exhibition of different shells and mollusks. The price is fair, only 6.5€, and you get to refresh yourself in a cool spot for a bit.
Lucian M — Google review
It's a lovely little aquarium that doesn't offer some spectacular views but is still worth a visit a d here's why. The entrance price is 6.5 euros, it upon until 20:00, but the latest entrance is at 19:30. It features a cave that's made of underwater rocks and pebbles and it should be fun for kids. There's lots of different sea creatures ( nothing too big) and it offers an educational text next to each exhibit/aquarium. One story of a Mediterranean harbor seal was especially wonderful for me, but I don't want to spoil it so you'll have to discover it on your own. :) Don't expect a massive aquatic world full of big fish like sharks and dolphins and you'll have a good time. With the ticket you also get a discount for the local musieums such as the museum in oldtown and the 9D museum of Greek history. You also have the option of getting a unique souvenir in the form of a coin and you also make a small contribution towards helping the environment by buying it. Here are just a few photos to show you a little bit of what's inside.

Nice little place, tickets are 6.5 Euros. We took like 45 minutes to check around, staff was friendly, fishy are cute. I dont understand why people give 3 star reviews...

The Modern Greek Art Museum of Rhodes, also known as Nestoridion Melathron, is a treasure trove of 20th-century Greek art.
Very nice and smart Art Museum. The visit takes about 20 minutes, 6€ entrance fee. Some culture before going to the beach.

Great display of modern Greek art and a whole 2nd floor devoted to a great artist unknown to us: Valias Semertzidis. Temporary exhibition all in Greek of a local hospital, in the neighbouring new wing.

A big and serious collection of art pieces. A representative collection of Great Greek paintings of the 20th century. Very well presented. The curreator did a great job! Well done! A real jweel for Rhodes! You must be proud of this collection of paintings!

With one ticket you can visit 3 museums do that is very nice. The ground floor contains letters and edicts regarding the tax that should be paired during ottoman occupation. I didn't knew that some have included the quantity of sponges :). The first floor contains photos of religious practices in different religions, some interesting pieces regarding how the light falls . On the same floor you have pictures regarding the nature destruction, done of them are staged but interesting as composition. The second level contains paintings of Greek islands.
Nothing 2 — Google review
At least right now, not really worth a visit. The main building was supposed to be closed for renovation until June 30th 2025, we were there July 3rd and it was still closed but there is absolutely no information about the ongoing renovation on the museums website, their social media accounts or even the building itself. There's a suggestion... After being stopped semi-rudely (just "please close") when we tried to walk in through the open door, we went over to the New Wing, where we were at least able to look at a very small exhibition "engravings in space" for a reduced entrance fee.
Maja W — Google review
Well laid out art gallery spread over three floors. Well worth the 6 euros entrance fee which also includes 2 other galleries in Rhodes new/old town. Good clean rest room facilities also.
John D — Google review
Nice, quiet museum with very good air conditioning and fine art. Friendly staff. In the first floor exhibition you can scan a QR-code next to every portrait, which was very nice and informative. But on the other floors there wasn't that option. Would've give five stars if they'd had QR-codes in other floors as well.

Prasonisi Beach, located at the southernmost end of Rhodes, is a haven for water sports enthusiasts. The beach offers both calm and windy sides, making it perfect for activities like surfing, kiteboarding, and windsurfing. However, it's not just for thrill-seekers; the sandy shores and shallow waters also make it ideal for relaxation and swimming.
This beach gets a 5-star rating from me. The sand is incredibly soft, and there are no stones, seaweed, or debris in the sea. It is quite windy, so I had to cover my sensitive ears, but the stunning views and beautiful sand made it well worth the visit. It's a must-see if you're staying in the southern part of Rhodes. From Gennadi, it was an easy and enjoyable 20-minute drive. There are restaurants and a kiosk where you can grab takeaway food. We had a lovely afternoon here with the kids.
Béke J — Google review
The beach is amaazing! We spent the whole day there. Watching surfers on both sides is spectacular, especially the kitesurfers. Though if you are a surfer yourself, might be crowded. The photos are late September. There are sunbeds on the Mediterranean part to the left side and cost 25€/set. Had lunch at Lighthouse Tavern, where the food was great. No need to climb the hill, nothing much there. Maybe just a bit for the view. On the end of second hill is a lighthouse, but not worth the climb.

Ladies and gentleman this is one of the most beautiful with extreme potential beach ever in Rodos and Grecee. It packed all the qualities for an exquisite beach. The only minus is the wind that can sometime can bother you and the distance. And oh my God the sand is one of the finest ever. Anyway this is a must to be visited beach in Rodos. Sun beds available and lots of restaurants and space to park. Heaven.
Silviu B — Google review
September 2025 visit. A lovely sandy beach with good facilities and free parking on the beach. There is a tarmac easy road to get there. There are sunbeds on the Mediterranean side which are a bit pricey at €25 considering there is no bar or table service. The beds are basic unpadded ones so not too comfortable but it a nice clean beach nonetheless. I would visit again
Ashley B — Google review
This is an amazing spot for wind powered water sports. Because of the two sides of the beach you have an option to go for flat or wavy waters all the time and there is fantastic wind most of the time. There is good reason windsurfers, wingfoilers and kiters come from all over Europe. It is a bit of a drive about 90 minutes) if you are staying near Rhodes town so if someone plans to spend a few days there best to find a place to stay in the nearby villages. There are several watersports schools there and you can rent all the stuff you need. Totally worth it!

Unique and amazing place where two sea merge. In one side you meet stormy sea in another comparative quite. Its a paradise of cauldrons, but its possible to just swimm. Highly recommend to visit and feel the spirit.

The Holy Monastery of the Virgin Mary Tsambika (Kyra Psili) is a small Byzantine-era monastery located on a hill overlooking the sea. It houses the church with the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary, known as Panagia Tsambika, making it a significant religious site for childless women who often leave baby dolls as offerings. The monastery also offers stunning panoramic views over the northern part of Rhodes and requires climbing around 300 steps to reach it.
highly recommend visiting this peaceful and sacred place. It is very beautiful, calm, and magical. Here you can write your family’s names and wishes in the book, offer a prayer, and feel a deep sense of peace in your heart. It is a truly spiritual experience. Recommend go there on sunset time, around 7pm.

View worth to climbe about 300 steps in 30 degrees. It's not so hot because path goes through forest so many shades and mountain breeze refreshing. Take water is highly recommend. It takes around one hour to climb up and go down (from parking where steps starts).
Valdas P — Google review
Quite a trip to reach the top (300 steps). I suggest to wear comfortable shoes and also take some water with you (you can buy some at the store at the parking if needed). It takes a while to climb the top. Once there you have a small Church to visit but it is especially worth the trip for the amazing view over a big part of the island. It was very windy when we were there so best hold on to your belongings.
Arne J — Google review
There are 300 steps leading up to the monastery on the top of the mountain. The drive to the parking lot is very steep. Wear closed shoes and bring plenty of drinking water. There is a possibility to shop and light candles in the monastery area. Wonderful view.

300 steps. Get your car as close as you can to save yourself more energy to enjoy this majestic scenery. Never seen such an amazing church at such a high point with such views! I recommend wearing comfortable shoes!

Lovely hike in Kolympia! The view is wonderful and the monastery is very cute. However, please be mindful that there are more than 270 steps up to the church so appropriate shoes are recommended!!
Silvia — Google review
The monastery is really nice and peaceful. The 300 stairs are not that hard as other mentioned, there are a lot of trees, shade and wind so if you take short breaks it’s an easy path. No need to bring a backpack (like we did) just a bottle of water is enough. You can ride by car up to the stairs (the road is paved and you can ride uphill with 1st and 2nd gear (we had a Citroen c3) and it was super doable.
Andrei P — Google review
This is a beautiful place to visit . But a general note if you are walking be prepared, it’s not for the faint hearted and you do need a reasonable level of fitness and ability. After a long and steep walk up the mountain you are then facing 300 pretty steep steps. Is it worth it , yes ! The monastery is pretty and very peaceful, the caretakers are very nice and the view is incredible.

The Myth Colossus of Rhodes, once a towering 33-meter statue of the Greek sun-god Helios, stood at the entrance to Mandraki Harbour. It was built in 280 BC to commemorate Rhodes' successful defense against an attack. Unfortunately, it collapsed during an earthquake in 226 BC. Today, two bronze statues of a stag and a doe stand as memorials at the harbor entrance.
Great to visit here and see where the Colossus once stood. Plenty of nice yachts to see also!
Matt C — Google review
In honesty, it disappointed us this time as we couldn't get in nor find explanation of the Colossus. Looks great from the outside right by the sea, but all that walk under the sun was exhausting and at the end there wasn't much to see.
Divanna N — Google review
Rhodes (city) is great and the island itself is quite large. Today we explored the ‘Old City’ which is a completely enclosed by walls that are ~600 years old. First stop, the port area where the “Colossus of Rhodes” reputably once stood astride the harbour entrance. A myth or true - who knows?
Norm P — Google review
Colossus of Rhodes – Still Standing in Spirit Though no longer visible in bronze and stone, the Colossus of Rhodes remains one of the most stirring symbols of human vision and resilience. Once straddling the ancient harbour like a titan born of sun and sea, it stood not only as a monument to victory, but as a celebration of freedom, imagination, and the courage of a people who refused to be forgotten. Today, standing by the quiet piers of Mandraki Harbour where deer statues mark its possible feet, one can still feel the echo of greatness in the air. The light dances on the water as if reflecting his vanished form, and the whispers of ancient mariners seem to rise with the wind. It is a reminder that even when the physical disappears, the spirit of creation and defiance lives on. The Colossus may be gone—but like all true legends, he has simply become part of the sky.
Dr M — Google review
The Colossus of Rhodes (Ancient Greek: ὁ Κολοσσὸς Ῥόδιος, romanized: ho Kolossòs Rhódios; Modern Greek: Κολοσσός της Ρόδου, romanized: Kolossós tis Ródou)[a] was a statue of the Greek sun god Helios, erected in the city of Rhodes, on the Greek island of the same name, by Chares of Lindos in 280 BC. One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, it was constructed to celebrate the successful defence of Rhodes city against an attack by Demetrius I of Macedon, who had besieged it for a year with a large army and navy. According to most contemporary descriptions, the Colossus stood approximately 70 cubits, or 33 metres (108 feet) high – approximately two-thirds of the height of the modern Statue of Liberty from feet to crown – making it the tallest statue in the ancient world. It collapsed during the earthquake of 226 BC, although parts of it were preserved. In accordance with the Oracle of Delphi, the Rhodians did not rebuild it.John Malalas wrote that Hadrian in his reign re-erected the Colossus, but he was mistaken. According to the Suda, the Rhodians were called Colossaeans (Κολοσσαεῖς), because they erected the statue on the island. In 653, an Arab force under Muslim general Mu'awiya I conquered Rhodes, and according to the Chronicle of Theophanes the Confessor, the statue was completely destroyed and the remains sold. THERE İS NO STATUE OVER HERE 😅😅😅
Alara D — Google review

Tsambika Beach is a popular destination on the island of Rhodes, offering a long stretch of golden sand between rocky headlands. The calm and shallow waters make it ideal for families to swim and play. The beach is well-organized with supporting facilities such as restaurants, sunbeds, and water sports centers. Accessible by public transport, this family-friendly outing provides opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying refreshments from small snack bars.
This in one of many beautiful beaches in Rhodes. So many to choose from. But tsambika beach is all sand!! And parking very easy. Nice clear shallow water for little ones and older ones like my daddy. We parked literally a stones throw from loungers( which are only €20 for 2 loungers and umbrella. Food and drink was also good value. Servers are there to take payment of loungers and food. Now if you drive you drive down long winding road, from main road tho beach must be a good mile walk, in heat, no joke! But if you drive , there is lots of parking. Watch out for potholes at bottom and drive slow. I suggest take a right at bottom of hill. Lovely sandy beach.

Absolutely loved it! We had the best experience and a wonderful time here. The beach is spacious, clean, and perfect for families with children. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxing and family-friendly beach in Rhodes!

Great beach probably the best we visited in Rhodes,5 euro s bus from Rhodes town . Only 2 buses a day to get there and back . The sea was very calm and clear .It wasn't the cleanest beach I've visited in Greece.20 Euros for 2 sunbeds and a umbrella.
Tim E — Google review
The beach has a beautiful view of the sea and the sand is soft and pleasant, perfect for a relaxing day by the water. However, some areas could use a bit of attention — the toilets were either dirty or closed, and the facilities overall feel a little old and worn. Sunbeds aren’t free, so be prepared to pay extra if you want one. There’s also a nudist section at the far end of the beach, which is good to know depending on your preference. With a bit of TLC and better maintenance, this could easily be a top spot.

The beach offers golden sand, picturesque surroundings, and amenities such as parasol rentals and beachside tavernas.
Agathi Beach is a peaceful, quiet, and cozy little spot — perfect if you’re looking to escape the crowds. There are no sunbeds, no shops, just nature and a calm atmosphere. There’s plenty of parking, but be aware that the road down to the beach is quite bumpy— so drive carefully, especially if you have a rental car.

We were in Rhodes with our grandchildren. At first we went to the pebble beach in Gennadi. The children found it hard on the feet, so I searched for a sand beach. Google pointed us here. True, this beach is not "organized", no parasols or reclining chairs. But this is what makes it so appealing. The sea is warm and shallow, The kids loved it.

A gorgeous beach with thankfully no sunbeds to ruin it like most of the other beaches in Rhodes (please don’t bring them back). You just bring your own towel and umbrella and find a spot. The water is lovely and warm and clear and there is great snorkelling by the rocks. The castle on the way down to this beach is definitely worth a climb up to for great views.

Stunning beach! If you land in Rhodes, Agathi Beach is a must! No umbrellas are available, but you don’t need them neither! The beach is windy and not too hot. I would recommend to get there early in the morning (around 8/8:30) to enjoy the beach and the sea alone by yourself. No bars or restaurants nearby, hence bringing the food/water by yourself is suggested. There are public showers to wash off the salt and a big free parking is available.

The Medieval City of Rhodes is a well-preserved walled town with grand palaces, Byzantine-era mosques, and charming piazzas lined with cafes. It's considered the best-preserved and most picturesque medieval city in Europe. The mystifying Street of the Knights leads to the magnificent Grand Master Palace, which has 160 rooms to explore. Other historical sites include the Archaeological Museum, Virgin of the Castle, Turkish baths, and mosques with tall minarets in small squares.
Such a stunning place. The structures are beautiful and feel taken care of. Everywhere you go, there is something even grander than the next. The streets are bustling with restaurants and shops. It is definitely worth a visit if you're ever in Rhodes. We didn't go into any of the museums but I will make sure to do that if I ever visit Rhodes a third time.

I had an amazing time! It's so beautiful and the kitties are so cute. The only issue is that a lot of the shops are almost identical but I do enjoy the tacky tourist vibe. Make sure you look around at prices to get the best price for things like shot glasses, magnets and drinks like the beer boot. I went late September and it was most busy usually afternoon when the heat dies down a bit.

Absolutely beautiful city, situated on island and sounded by a old wall, it's so charming, fully packed with tourists, and full of shopping streets and restaurant, where you can find lots of good options. Little bit hot in the month of September as I visited today, old streets and monuments gives you very traditional vibe, at the same time you have so many luxury fashion shops make it true blend of traditional and modern blend.
Kuldeep R — Google review
A 'must visit'. Split into a Greek quarter, Jewish quarter and Turkish quarter. Busy during the day (cruise ships) and vibrant during the evening. Winding cobbled streets with shops and tavernas everywhere. Main streets can get very busy during the day but it's worth finding the quiet areas such as those 'top left' away from the harbour. Here you will still find gifts/crafts but more shade and a lot more peace & quiet. Well worth finding the Minos Roof Top Cafe/Bar for a fantastic view and some restbite! (See my review and photos.) During the evening the town is tastefully lit with uplighting and street lamps. Go off the beaten track and you will always find a quaint taverna or bar. It's simply beautiful and full of life. To navigate the town, start at the main square (through gate by commercial harbour/car park). The main shopping streets and side streets all lead up to the Islamic spire at the top of the town. Use this to get your bearings. The palace is then up and over to the right. The bus station is also easy to find and here you will also find an umbrella shop with all sorts of designs - well worth a look.

I absolutely loved visiting the Medieval City of Rhodes! Walking through its cobbled streets felt like stepping into another era. The atmosphere is magical, with so much history all around, yet it’s alive with shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to wander, explore, and just soak up the beauty and charm.

Farma of Rhodes is a captivating petting zoo boasting over 100 friendly animals, including deers, camels, donkeys, lemurs, and ostriches. Visitors can interact with the animals through feeding and petting experiences while capturing memorable selfies. Notably, Farma of Rhodes is the exclusive location in Rhodes where playful Lemurs can be found and interacted with.
This attraction is an absolute must-visit for any animal enthusiast. As someone who has always loved animals—especially lemurs—I was delighted by the incredible range of experiences on offer. I was particularly surprised and thrilled to have the chance to see and feed the raccoons! There are numerous opportunities for interaction, and being able to enter the enclosures and feed the animals made the experience truly special. We waited a short while for the lemurs to wake up, and when we were invited into their enclosure, it was wonderful to see them up close. I was lucky enough to have baby Romeo, the young lemur, come over to me! When I shared my enthusiasm for lemurs with the keeper, she kindly allowed my partner and me to stay a little longer. As we sat quietly near the benches, the lemurs became more active—jumping around us and even holding our hands. The entire experience was magical, and every member of staff we met was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves animals—it’s something truly unforgettable.

Me and my partner came to see and feed the animals, which all looked healthy and happy. The lemur experience was amazing getting to be so close to them and even feed them. The lady who cares for the lemurs was really friendly and very informative about them. The raccoon experience was also amazing getting to feed them and pet them, the carers was also super informative and friendly. The food is all vegetarian and really nice from the cafe along with been reasonable priced and fast service. All in all I would highly recommend visiting.

I just visited Farma Zoo in Rhodes and it was honestly the best zoo experience I’ve ever had! I’ve been to many zoos in different countries, but this one truly stands out. The variety of animals is small – you’ll find donkeys, sheep, raccoons, ducks, lemurs and a few others – but what makes it special is the atmosphere. You can clearly see that the animals are happy, well cared for, and treated with love. The staff are absolutely wonderful – so friendly and passionate about what they do. They even give the animals names, which makes the whole experience feel much more personal and heartwarming. One of the highlights for me was being able to feed the lemurs – such a fun and unique experience! It doesn’t feel like a typical zoo, but more like a place where animals and people connect in the right way. I left with such a positive feeling and so many great memories.

A Must-Visit, it felt like a truly hands-on adventure. The animals are friendly, well-cared for, and seem happy to engage with visitors. It’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone who loves animals. If you are in Rhodes, make sure this is on your itinerary. You won't be disappointed! Highly Recommended!
Anna Z — Google review
Small zoo but with variety of healthy animals, featured with possibility to feed them (you can buy specialised food, 2 E per portion). The main attraction is a supervised visit to lemurs - and you will get interesting info about them (spoiler: king Julian does not exist!). There is a cafe (brave enough to try ostrich omlette?) and a souvenir shop with cute and unique items (like painted ostrich egg).

🌿 A Truly Magical Experience at the Farm Petting Zoo in Rhodes 🐐 Visiting this petting zoo was an unforgettable experience! There are very few places in the world where you can get so close to animals—petting them, feeding them, and learning about their lives in such a hands-on, respectful way. The staff are simply wonderful. You can feel their deep love for the animals in everything they do. They take the time to explain each animal’s story, habits, and personality with such care and enthusiasm. It’s clear this isn’t just a job to them—it’s a passion. Whether you’re traveling with kids or just want to reconnect with nature, this place offers something truly special. I left with a full heart and a huge smile. Highly recommended!
Maria S — Google review
What a stellar experience and such a unique concept! They really seem to care about the animals and they seem happy, which is important for a place like this. The fact that you can hang out and pet most of the animals there is amazing. The experience with the lemurs is undoubtedly the highlight of the whole thing!
Nemanja P — Google review
We went here on October 24th. It was an amazing experience, especially the Lemurs. We got to go in their enclosure and give them some food. They jumped on us and cuddled with us. Their 'mama' told us that sometimes the lemurs do have a little siesta, and that at those times, the interactive part is closed. So keep that in mind! The rest of the animals were also very cuddly and food motivated! I was wearing a very flowy skirt, which got nibbled on by a goat. Some of the enclosures looked a little small, but we didn't ask if the animals stay there day and night or if they get moved around.

The Jewish Museum of Rhodes offers a profound glimpse into the rich history of the Jewish community on this picturesque island, which dates back to the 2nd century BC. Established in the former women's prayer rooms of Kahal Shalom Synagogue, it showcases an array of artifacts, documents, and family photographs that narrate stories from centuries past.
One of the very unusual places in Rohde. The origin of Jew in this island might be traced back to destruction of 1st temple(ca. 3.BC). After Reconqusita of Spain in 15 AD, some of the Jewish fugitive had migrated here and built a Jewish community consisted of Sephedic majority. The grand master of Rohde persecuted Jew at the last stage(20 years )of their rein . The turk put Jew under protection until WWI.

It's very overwhelming and such a good museum. At the entrance we were welcomed by very lovely people and someone who was playing very nice songs on his guitar (real good musician if you ask me). It's not a big place but with all the info they give/show you you can be inside for a pretty long time (worth every second of it)
Vincent B — Google review
We sent an email, which was responded to promptly, requesting a visit since it was winter and the site was open by appointment only. The synagogue is beautiful, and the adjacent museum is excellently presented—though the experience is understandably sobering. The history of this Jewish settlement and the suffering they endured during the last months of World War II (with most perishing in the Nazi’s “final solution”) is a vital and poignant part of history. We were grateful to see it represented with such care and respect. Cost was €6 per person

Go there when you are in Rhodes: it's a gem of a museum with lots of explanations and pictures about the city of Rhodes - which hasn't changed by the way - and the history of Jewish people here. Makes you think a lot about how quickly times can change and that one should always be prepared for the unthinkable: watch the excellent movie which is shown in the museum. Museum is next to the beautiful synagogue and has a cute little courtyard. 4 euro entrance fee in september 2022. I think, it's closed from november on but if you phone them you can make an appointment. The book which brought me here was Patricia Wilson's 'Island of Secrets'.

history of a Jewish community Tells the story of the Jewish community on Rhodes over centuries. Isac Habib is a great guide who has so much information and knowledge to share. His mother was a holocaust survival and her testimony is touching and heartbreaking. Well worth it to book a tour and get the history told as you visit the museum as well as the synagogue. It's not a big museum, but it tells a little known but very important history.

Nestled in the charming village of Pastida, the Bee Museum of Rhodes invites visitors to delve into the captivating realm of bees. Established in 2004 by passionate beekeeper Nikos Melissourgos, this unique museum showcases transparent observation hives that allow you to witness the intricate lives of bees up close. As you explore its interactive exhibits, a knowledgeable guide will share insights about beekeeping traditions and the vital role these pollinators play in our ecosystem.
This is a fantastic place for kids to enjoy during the day, and our children certainly loved it. We believe adults will also learn new things about bees. While the tour itself is small, it offers several engaging activities such as guessing games, coloring for kids, and searching for the queen bee. The staff is very kind, and they also have some great items available for purchase.

Bee Museum – A Truly Sweet Experience Such a charming and welcoming place! Upon arrival, you’re greeted by a lovely shop assistant who offers a sesame snack with honey – absolutely delicious! There are also tastings of unique alcoholic drinks – highly recommended to try and choose your favorite. Inside the museum, you go on a fascinating journey through the history of honey production – from ancient times to the present day. It’s an engaging and educational experience, great for kids as well. At the end, there’s an interesting short film (in German), but even without understanding the language, the visuals tell the whole story.

Such a cool little place to spend an hour! We weren't expecting to enjoy this as much as we did but it was a great way to spend an hour. The exhibition is very small but it's packed full of information, we learnt a fair bit and enjoyed being up close seeing the bees do their thing and seeing the queen bee!
Chelsie-leigh C — Google review
Very cute and insightful. Gives you an upclose idea about the life of the bees and how important they are. I loved the part where you see real bees making honey and the queen bee. Loved their products too. Fun for families and the curious minds.
Christine R — Google review
Amazing museum, we went based on Google rating and we didn’t regret at all. The price is cheap and the museum is very interactive. If you like honey, you will definitely enjoy. There is a possibility to taste different types of honey and you can buy honey and related products (cosmetics, liquor, sweets) for reasonable prices.

An amazing museum where you can learn a lot about bees and especially about the history of beekeeping in Rhodes. At the beginning of the tour we were delighted with a small sweet honey gift. This museum is for both children and adults. At the end you can buy honey products at great prices.

Excellent educational venue for bee related things. Certainly value for money. Good range of products that aren't too expensive. Recommend a visit.
Steve F — Google review
I am probably the outcast here with my review as it differs to what many have said and so I suppose this purely about a question of personal preferences/tastes. We actually stopped there on our way to the airport as we had some time to kill and the kids wanted to visit the museum. I wasn’t sure really what to expect but all I know after visiting the place is that I felt underwhelmed. I was expecting to see more live bees/beehives than mainly artefacts. The only bees we saw was at the end of the museum where they had a beehive behind the glass you could watch. That’s what the kids and I enjoyed the most. The museum visit lasted 20mins for us and the highlights for us were: - free honey snacks given - free honey tasting - live view of bees in the museum - variety of honey pots to choose from (we bought quite a few)

The Municipal Art Gallery of Rhodes, also known as the Museum of Modern Greek Art, is a treasure trove for art enthusiasts. Nestled in a historic building at Symi Square, this gallery showcases an impressive array of 20th-century Greek artworks, including paintings and sculptures. Since its inauguration in 1964 by the esteemed collector Andreas Ioannou, it has become a cultural landmark near the Medieval Town's entrance.
I was very impressed with this modern Greek art gallery when l visited in 2013. The ancient history of this lovely country is of course worth celebrating but it is interesting to spot parallels with modern art movements in other European countries also. Recently in England we have had an exhibition of John Craxton's work and l was pleased to recall several on display in Rhodes. Sadly I could not locate the gallery this year in Rhodes ( my fault for not having a map). Very highly recommended

Rhodes Windmills, also known as the Windmills of Mandraki, are located on the outskirts of bustling Mandraki Harbour. They offer picturesque views and serve as a starting point for boat trips to other coastal areas like Lindos village. The windmills have been well restored and provide stunning views across the harbor to the walls and palace of the grandmasters. It's a charming emblem with rustic beauty that offers a wonderful scenic viewpoint.
Windmills built in medieval times for grinding grains from merchant ships. There used to be around 14 of them, but nowadays only 3 survive. You can even see bits and pieces of the canvas on the sails. Their not operational and the doors are locked, but you can walk around them and up and down the pier. It's a good place to stop and get shelter from the sun.
Lucian M — Google review
Why won't they make them work again I wonder. They can earn a lot from tourists just entering for instiktok videos. Anyway, they're beautiful and a good escape from the overly crowded old town as there are not a lot of people around, strangely. Recommend visiting time: before subset. About 40 minutes. There is also a cat shelter after them.
Marin K — Google review
More exploring including seeing the famous “Rhodes 3 Windmills” by the harbour. They were pretty cool although I have no idea why they are so famous (?). But get your timing right as by mid-afternoon there were lots of people around (a cruise ship has arrived with 3,000 or so ‘one day tourists’ pouring into the streets. Ughhh).

Learn about the Colossus of Rhodes, the knights of the order of Saint John, and significant historical events while experiencing a virtual roller coaster ride through ancient Rhodes.
This is well worth a visit while in Rhodes! But do it after you have seen the Palace of the grand master and the acropolis etc and you’ll be amazed at the amount of history it includes and you’ll recognise all the places you have visited like us! It’s a great attraction and applicable for all ages!

What can I say other than amazing. Not only do you learn the history of Rhodes and Helios the sun god, but you get to do it whilst being thrown around, soaked, sprayed with water all whilst watched it all in 3D. This place is amazing and definitely worth a visit.

A total of 30mins cinematic 9D movie of the history of Rhodes. It’s directly beside the Starbucks. Entrance fee: 13€. I think the Movie is shown every half hour, so if you arrive in between, you will have to wait for the next hour or half an hour. There’s also a small museum whilst you wait and a sitting area. Totally recommend.
Sahndrra — Google review
Had a blast learning the history and the movie ride was fun for the whole family!! The main room was next to Starbucks and had tons of information for reading. Great learning experience overall!!
Sarah S — Google review
The movie was marvelous. Their special effects were surprising and the fact that your seat moves at the same in the movie was definitely my favorite part. Just be careful with your stuff because they can get a tiny bit wet if you leave them on a seat. In my opinion, the first movie was quiet complete with its storytelling. You get easily transported in the story and feel like you are witnessing it. Before entering they ask you in which language you wish to see the movie and they have a big choice with languages that are not usually proposed in other places which was a nice touch. Before and after the watching of the movie you can discover the history of Rhodes through some information displayed on the walls which were really interesting to read.
Esther — Google review
If you wanted quick run down of the islands history, then this is the place to come. Before the cinema presentation you get to look around a small gallery. It’s quite interesting with touch screens placed around the wall. Touch your country flag to get the text in your language, it takes a while to update, but once there the text is very detailed and you do get a good overview of the islands history. On the day we went there was heavy American rock music playing which was so wrong, never understood that. In the cinema you get your glasses and you are helped on with your headsets to get the commentary in your chosen language. The presentation is excellent, with wind, water, smoke and movement in your seat. Everything is very gentle so there is no need to worry about any health conditions. There is a second movie, a cartoon animation of a chariot race through Ancient Greece. Just a bit of fun. 13 euros for 30 minutes, two movies. Great fun and it will make you grin. Highly recommend if you want to know the history of Rhodes.
Derek J — Google review
It's a great experience. Bring a tissue to dry off the 3D glasses after the water sprinkles from above :) Duration is only 20 minutes; the story ends as the Ottomans put up their flag. Would be great if the movie covered the remaining history as well, in main events. The Race of Rhodes is a Super Mario-style cartoon that is screened after the first movie, with a duration of 6 minutes. The gear is very good, chairs are comfy, and they have bone conduction ear phones. All that said, I do recommend seeing it. 👍
Jelena S — Google review
Small but perfectly formed museum/film ride. This is a fun place to go for a broad history of Rhodes. Make sure to read the small museum before the film if you love to learn about the Island. The film is fun and a good way of enforcing the learning from outside. The last part was overshadowed by the fan and so couldn't really hear the last bit as it was at a time of snow (the fan for the fake snow - i think its was broken as there was no snow). The museum appears to be newish, and maybe with a bit of time/feedback and tweaks, this will get better. I'd still recommend it, though! The second film is really aimed at young kids but it's still OK.

Bloom Waterpark Watersports Rhodes is a top destination, boasting the title of one of Europe's largest waterparks. It offers an array of attractions such as slides, wave pools, and lazy rivers suitable for all ages. Safety is a priority with lifeguards stationed at each feature and dedicated areas for younger children. Visitors can also enjoy various water sports like jet-skiing with friendly staff and reasonable prices.
We had such a fun day at the water park on Agathi Beach in Rhodes! It’s the perfect spot for families, kids, and even adults who want to feel like kids again. The inflatable structures were super fun, safe, and well-maintained – we laughed non-stop jumping, climbing, and sliding into the sea. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making sure everyone was safe while having a great time. The beach itself is beautiful with shallow, clear waters – ideal for kids to play safely. Highly recommended for a day full of fun, laughs, and unforgettable memories with family or friends!

Great water park! Better than the smaller one down the beach. Only complaint is that the slides needed to be kept wet for easy, fast sliding without chafing. Non-participating family members can enjoy a lovely cocktail on a lounger nearby or go to the restaurant. We spent most of the day at this beach.

Filerimos Monastery, located on Filerimos Hill in the Greek island of Rhodes, is a historical site with religious significance dating back to the 8th century BC. The monastery was built in the 10th century AD by the Order of the Knights of St. John and has been restored in the early 20th century. Surrounded by lush greenery, this stone structure is a popular tourist attraction and offers visitors a glimpse into its medieval architecture with domed arches.
An absolutely amazing place full of ancient history! Missed this last year but so glad we went this year! The views are spectacular! Lots of peacocks live there too and they like showing off! Choose your time wisely though as can get very busy!

Cost 10 Euros to enter the site. Great views towards the north and West. Number of Peacocks and their displays impressive. Lovely green wooded environment surrounding the site. Two hours sufficient to visit site and surrounding areas.

At this place, I was surprised by both the peacocks and the rich history that has been preserved here. From the monastery to the castle. You can walk around it crisscross. Beautiful views await you here, beautiful buildings that you can also see from the inside. Entrance to the castle and monastery grounds is paid. The grounds are well-maintained and clean, and the toilets were clean too.

Beautiful place, full of ancient history. And of course, peacocks! You can buy some feed from the shop. The entrance to the monastery is €10 pp and is really worth the visit. If you have the energy, I highly recommend walking up rather than taking a bus/car. It's a scenic walk.

Lovely little walk around the monastery. It's quiet and interesting. Beautiful views from the big cross. Great if you want to watch the sunset! Take cash as there's no WiFi to pay for your entry up there.

Filerimos is definitely worth a visit. The drive there alone is beautiful, taking you through rocks and pine trees with regularly fantastic views. Once you arrive, you're greeted by many peacocks roaming freely – very fun! For history lovers, the old, no longer inhabited monastery can be visited. The silence and peace among the old buildings is special. We went there on Sunday, September 28th, and it turned out to be "Tourist Day," so the entrance was free 😁 On the other side, a path under the trees leads to the cross. The view from there over Rhodes is fantastic!"

The fortress Saint Nicholas is a small castle located in the port of Mandraki, in the city of Rhodes. It was built by the Knights of Rhodes to strengthen the islands defense and has been subjected to sieges many years and an earthquake in 1841. Pierre dAubusson repaired and reinforced it, giving its final form. The fortress is a nice walk, with plenty of kitty company, but you can't enter it because it's currently closed.
This fortress of incalculable strategic value was heavily targeted and battered during the siege of 1522. It endured nonetheless due to the bravery of its defenders and its sturdy design. Though only a part of the massive defensive network of medieval Rhodes, it is an impressive fortress in itself. Works in progress disallow entrance for the time being, but the walk to it along the pier is easy and pleasant.

The iconic «Saint Nicholas Lighthouse», is a stunning sight, whether bathed in sunlight or glowing under the night sky ✨ Perfect for festive celebrations or quiet everyday strolls, it’s a landmark that adapts to every moment. Located at the entrance of the harbour in Rhodes, right beside the famous deer statues, this lighthouse is a true symbol of the island.

We arrived by Ferry and straight away could feel that we were going to enjoy Rhodes. One of our first sights was the 5th-century fortress at Mandraki harbor (later a lighthouse). It was a stunning sight, both during the day or at night.
Norm P — Google review
We were not able to enter but it was still interesting to walk partly around it and it was great for taking pictures.
Cory S — Google review
Saint Nicholas Fortress is an experience in itself—stunning sea views, salty breezes, and a front-row seat to the island’s rich history. The fortress stands proudly at the edge of the harbor like a guardian of time, and getting there by foot along the marina just makes it all the more magical.
Ross D — Google review
A stronghold on the northern side of the pier. Back in 15th century, it used to be a strategic point in the military port Mandraki, built by by the Grand Master of the Order of St. John Zacosta. Unfortunately, the gates were locked and it didn't seem to be open to visitors, but it still looks stunning even from the outside.
Lucian M — Google review
Looking very impressive on the outside, however it's not possible to get inside of those fortress walls. But still very interesting spot to stop by while taking a walk along the harbor side of the Rhodes.
Krzysiek O — Google review
Guarding the entrance to the old Port, it's a witness of the importance it held during Rhodes's medieval history. Supposedly, supposedly, the Colossus stood nearby or even on its site

Perched on a hill overlooking the Aegean Sea, Kritinia Castle, also known as Kastello to locals, is a historic Venetian/Byzantine castle dating back to 1472. Although now in ruins, the castle still showcases its former grandeur. Visitors can reach the site by taking a bus to Kritinia and walking or driving up the dirt track.
Rather remote, but beautiful little ruin of a castle that must have been very impressive in the past. From the top of the ruin you have an impressive view into the bay and the small islands in the vicinity. On a clear day you can see the coastline of Turkey in the distance. In the public section there is no roof structure left, so in the very unlikely event of rainfall you would not have any meaningful cover. Great that this precious spot is free of charge.
MC B — Google review
While driving around the island, we noticed signs pointing to the castle ruins and decided to make a spontaneous detour. The road leading up to the site is mostly tarmac and fairly accessible, with just a few short but steep sections near the top. Our small rental car managed it with no issues. There’s a free car park right by the castle that can hold around 15 cars, which was a nice bonus. Entry to the ruins is also free, accessed via a set of built steps. Just a note – not suitable for a wheelchair access, unfortunately. Once you reach the top, the views are absolutely breathtaking and make the short trek well worth it. We also noticed a small café nearby, but we didn’t stop in so can’t comment on the food or service. Overall, it’s a great little stop if you’re exploring the island – highly recommended if you’ve got an hour to spare and fancy a bita bit of history paired with stunning scenery.

We stumbled across this place by chance but we loved it. There are two car parks and a small café for a quick refreshment after the walk back down! Gorgeous views, just make sure you're wearing proper shoes

Amazing place. I really like someone make it good enough for tourist .Amazing views. Free access.Parking available. There are two ways to go to the castle. Stairs available. Worth to go.
Kla F — Google review
Magnificent castle on a hill with stunning views of the sea. You can visit it for free. It is worth wearing proper shoes, as the castle ruins are a bit difficult to walk through.
Joonas T — Google review
This place was amazing. Probably my favourite place on the entire island, especially going for sunset. I had the entire place to myself (until the very end when someone else came for sunet too), and the place is just peaceful. It appears there used to be a cost for the castle, as there's an abandoned ticket booth at the gate, but it's free entry. The place is in ruins, but it's still worth the visit.
Adam O — Google review
We visited this castle during our trip and it was absolutely worth it. The castle itself is beautiful, and even the road leading up to it is a treat. Entrance is free, which is a big plus! It’s also easy to combine with the vineyard route and a wine tasting nearby. A perfect outing if you love a mix of culture and relaxation.

Aquarium of Faliraki, also known as AquaWorld, has a rich history dating back to its establishment by the Italians in 1936. Since 1963, it has operated as the Hydrobiological Station of Rhodes, serving as a research center for Mediterranean marine life. The aquarium features an open water circulation system that creates natural living conditions for a diverse array of Mediterranean species including turtles, various fish, octopuses, clams, reefs, and sea flowers.
Once you step inside and talk to the owner, you will think for yourself that it was best spent 8€ ever! This aquarium is run by one man only, he cleans, feeds and rescues the animals himself. You will be amazed how many exotic animals there are and you can even touch a starfish and a stingray. He keeps animals for about 20-30 days or until they are healthy again and will release them back to the ocean. The aquarium isn’t a big showroom, but we spent there good 30 mins chatting with owner and looking at all the animals there. His work is very touching and was glad to support this! For the owner, thank you for your amazing job with these animals!
My N — Google review
A place cared for by love and care for sea animals, the owner takes care of rescues, which he himself rescues from nets. Nurses them back to health and then releases them. It's a small and short experience (under an hour), but worth checking out. I have visited many aquariums in my life- and was still surprised to see fish I have never seen before! There are many local species to see also. Overall a nice and loving experience- no wait, AC, and cosy. The fish have all special decorations and the place is nicely painted.

Lovely little Aquarium that helps and rescues sick marine life. Guy really friendly and my daughter loved it that much we visited every other day. Really well priced as well €8 for adult and €5 for kids, definitely worth a visit.
Kimberley C — Google review
Highly recommend a visit! The work done by Theo here is amazing. You could see he really cared about all sea life and preserving it for as long as possible. It was small aquarium but made a massive difference. There was an octopus, turtle and other fishes I had never seen before. Keep up the amazing work
Amandeep K — Google review
A very pleasant experience, the rescuer is an amazing person that does a very important job of trying to rehabilitate the poor animals cought in nets by uncaring individuals. He also jumped to help when he heard we saw a sick cat at the resort we're staying at. The world needs more people like him. The place is worth your visit, there is virtually no wait time, the animals are actually cared for unlike other aquariums I've visited, it's a nice cool break from the heat of the day. There are also many minerals to see and learn about, as well as purchase. As a mineral and crystal enthusiast, this was a nice surprise. Sure you can go on plant of Island activities, but do make time to stop by. It's worth the trip!
KitsuneVneko — Google review
Nice little "aquarium"/fish hospital. The man who runs it is very nice and takes good care of the creatures he has. Some really interesting sea creatures to see. We were even able to touch a little sea turtle he had just rescued that morning, which he will then release back to the sea. Very cool.
Lynsey — Google review
Lovely little aquarium, ran by 1 man who rescues marine life and nurses them back to health before releasing them. Worth it just to see the small turtle that was rescued
David C — Google review
The owner is called Theo and he clearly has a heart of gold as waits every day to rescue any live sealife left for dead by the fisherman in the nets. Just be aware this is a mini aquarium- it's air conditioned and made up of quite a lot of little tanks which are labelled. You can look into a bigger tank and he lets you touch the turtles (if there are any rescues) The turtle in the tank only just started eating independently today after being poorly from being rescued near Lindos. All the sealife is released back into the ocean. He clearly has their interests at heart and tells us that no fish are happy in these tanks. We saw quite a few interesting fish including a few large eels and my daughter loved the glow in the dark fishes and the puffer fish. When you are finished he gives you a little bag with a few shells as a souvenir. Its costs 8 Euros for adults and 5 euros for kids which is a bit steep for what it is however if like me you see it more as an opportunity to donate to a good cause then it seems fair.

Nea Agora, also known as the New Market, is a charming Arabian-style marketplace located near Mandraki port in Rhodes. This early 20th-century market is housed in a characteristic building and offers souvenir stores, local products, spices, and even food items.
Surrounded by old buildings Near Agora has a lot to offer. A Square within the town of Rhodes that has a lot of small gift shops, nice coffee shops and restaurants. People coming and go under the shadows of the trees and the buildings. Either with your company, wife or girlfriend or with your family and kids this is a very cozy and nice place to relax and enjoy a drink or a small lunch. The people are friendly around it.
Bartholomew-Michael V — Google review
A place which is not busy as it should but has a nice shade for hot summer days. There you can find the old fishers spot where they have been selling their fish. A few souvenir shops but nothing more. Needs some sort of renovation to attract more people.
George P — Google review
Lively market square with a mix of souvenir shops, cafes, and local products. While it’s clearly tourist-oriented, it still has charm, especially in the morning when it's less crowded. Great place to grab a coffee or find small handmade items. Prices vary depending on the shop, so it’s worth comparing a bit before buying.
Miodrag J — Google review
Lovely harbour with the beautiful blue sea as a backdrop. Plenty to see around the harbour area including; Mosque of Murad Reis, Government House, Church of Evangelismos(stunning medieval church), Agios Nikolaos(15th century fortress and now a lighthouse), medieval windmills, two statues of deer on columns at the harbour entrance once believed where the Colossus of Rhodes once stood. A 30 minute walk around will capture all of these sights.
Ray R — Google review
The Nea Agora was built in the 1920s by the Italians, but it features Arabic architectural influences. Inside, you'll find many shops, thought they don't necessarily sell anything different than usual souvenir shops. Maybe just more t-shirts than most. You can also find cafes and restaurants. There's a central courtyard that once housed the old fish market, with a nice pavillion. It's not like a bazaar, yet it felt crowded, not much room to move around.
Lucian M — Google review
Beautiful landmark in Rhodes right by the port. The energy is busting with lots of souvenir shops and restaurants to eat at. We walked through here a few times and it was really delightful

Made a late decision to hire our own boat. After a quick look on Google we chose Water Sports Rodos - Action. Really happy we did. A great experience hiring from start to finish. I was given options from the easy to use web page, which at first made me think this was too good to be true but everything worked out better than I could of expected. Because we were close, we could take advantage of the drop off and collection service they offered for free. Again I first thought this was not going to work out well but again I was wrong. We got picked up from our hotel after receiving email confirmation follows by a WhatsApp message which made us feel everything was in hand and we could just relax before being taken to our agreed time slot. Before getting our speed boat we got some safety advice which was really helpful. We then got shown how the boat works before we set off on our own to explore the bays near by.

We hired a boat for 3 hours for 5 people. It isn't much more expensive than an organised trip. Great fun driving the boat yourself but it is rocky around the beaches so you have to be careful. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Gave us lifts to and from our hotel.

Best experience me and my children had. The lady was super nice and explained everything great. Unforgettable experience. Great team plus the boat had a Bluetooth speaker ;)

had a great experience parasailing. We stayed at a nearby hotel and we were able to book 9 of us with ease for the very same day at a descent price. The organisers on reception and the boat drivers were all great and very friendly. The boat driver made it a fun experience for the kids and played some great family friendly music. We felt very safe throughout. Afterwards we were discussing how to get back to the hotel as it was too far for the kids to walk in the heat and the owner kindly volunteered to drive 12 of us back to the hotel in 2 trips free of charge which was very kind of him and a nice touch to end the experience. Would highly recommend and would go back.

Nestled just outside the quaint village of Archipoli, about a half-hour drive from Rhodes Town, lies the enchanting Rhodes Toy Museum. This charming destination is surrounded by lush olive groves and serene pine forests, creating a picturesque backdrop for its impressive collection of around 5,000 toys crafted in Greece between 1930 and 1990.
Beautiful picturesque setting. Fabulous place, we could of stayed here all day. Amazing value, amazing staff, just wish we had allowed more time. Lots of cool toys to play with, great digital selection down stairs and great outdoor toys. Couldn't recommend higher fit you to stop here. We stopped for lunch up the road at Krioneri St. Nektarios tavern which I would suggest anyone to do.

Very nice museum. A lot of old toys produced in Greece. The best part is the video consoles in the basement. Owners are super nice!
Sašo M — Google review
Phenomenal hidden gem of Rhodes, this Toy Museum is a true labour of love and really captures slices of greek history through the toys and games created by the locals of the country. You get to play some epic retro games (think Pong, beat'em ups, pacman, arcade shooters) and experience some awesome miniature railway models too. Excellent value for money for the ticket entry. The owners are sweet and helped us customise some memorable souvenirs too. So glad we came
Will — Google review
A quirky little 'games' museum. Set in a lovely spot, the owner shares his personal collection of toys and games. I think it was €5 or €7 each, but there is absolutely a hand for all generations to remember and even play! We spent over and hour here and really enjoyed it, as I say, a little quirky but it'll get you taking about your childhood and your kids playing with real hands on games as well as checking out some huge collections! Pay the money and give it go... It's got an original working, playable pac-man and saga rally sim as well as the most basic, addictive wooden games - nothing to dislike - apart from some of the dolls faces!!!!!😂
Gary S — Google review
The museum itself has plenty of parking space at the entrance and placed among the beautiful mountain and tree view. Nice, peaceful and quiet place. After a visit inside, recommend to sit outside, where you also can play some games, having a coffee or a drink (bought at the museum). Was absolutely stunning with Greek toys exhibition, cataloged by years, from 50s to 90s, lots of great, well-preserved stuff, games, toy soldiers, cars, robots etc. This is a lot you can tell about country from its toys. Also have some old wise, entertaining games, that you can play with your kids, at the ground floor. You can buy a few also. A lot of legendary arcade, PC and console games at the underground, all work perfectly well. Don’t miss the toy soldiers variations and car models on the stairs! Generally speaking, very interesting and fascinating museum, worth every minute spent on it. Highly recommended for both kids and adults.

This is a MUST visit! Very reasonable entry fee, you could easily spend all day here! The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Our children loved playing all the games, the treasure hunt, and the vintage arcade games. The drive to the museum was beautiful, which is a bonus!

Visitors can explore the nearby Evreon Martyron Square, also called Seahorse Square due to the seahorse fountain located there. Additionally, must-see attractions in the medieval quarter include the Street of the Knights and the Mosque of Suleiman.
Very busy spot. A lot of tourists around. Beautiful place to see. Before you seat for drink and dine make sure to see prices. Many restaurants ask you to come. When you order and it comes to pay you might be completely disgusted with price to pay. Go little more outside of the street and enjoy your food and drink in acceptable prices.

Very busy in the summer season. We went end of July and very packed howeber there is no shortage of shops, cafes and restaurants. Not to mention the stunning medieval architecture surrounding you. Lovely souvenir shops, especially the jewellery shops, you can pick up some lovely pieces. Just a caution, make sure you know or can see the price of what you're paying for drinks in some places especially cocktails and beers as we were cautioned at the hotel some places will charge over the odds. Overall a lot of the places have signs with prices outside on their menus so stick with what you can see 🍻👀

Beautiful busy area in Rhodes Historic town. There is a good atmosphere here and this area is buzzing with restaurants and shops. Great sightseeing opportunities along with great area to feel the Greek charm.
Kelly P — Google review
A beautiful place to visit located in the old town of Rhodes, and one of the main places to visit during your stay on the island. I recommend going either very early in the morning for a quiet stroll away from the crowds, or very late in the evening, because not only is it very difficult to find a parking space if you come by car, but also because of the intense heat from morning to night. We preferred to go in the evening, as it is livelier and the atmosphere is more pleasant. Of course, it is still very crowded as it is a popular tourist destination, but that doesn't stop you from enjoying the charm of the old town, its shops, and its many bars and restaurants. Don't hesitate to lose yourself in the various narrow streets, each one as beautiful as the next.
Sarah D — Google review
Must visit. Great shopping district and wonderful food spots. You could spend 30min or 6hrs walking around. Loads to see. Street food is phenomenal and a local classic Loads of roof top bars and seating areas Local public bathrooms €0,50 charge per person they are very clean. There is a lady who manages this and has change if you don't. Several historical buildings to see - entrance charge to each however you can view the outside a bit. Very safe no fear or risk of any form of crime. There is a taxi rank where you could get a taxi by waiting in line for next available one There is alot of local street cats - they seem to breed massively- some of the locals seem to put food and water but they walk around freely not bothering anyone.

The beach offers a beautiful, wild atmosphere and is close to Faliraki Beach, one of the most popular beaches in the area.
Incredible small beach. I highly recommend you get there before 09:00 to occupy a spot as it can get crowdy. Getting goggles is a must, a really great spot for snorkeling!!! Restaurant behind is acceptable.

Again, as everywhere popular on Rhodos island - NO free zone, disgusting trash everywhere, good view from above and that is all. If you want to swim - no. Just don't. If you're here to take a picture - it's fine. Also food if you're at the bar the whole day.

Great place to go snorkeling! Immediately on entering the bay there's a little spot off to the right that's a bit less crowded then the actual beach. Although I definitely recommend bringing water shoes as the rocks there were no joke!!
Mackenzie — Google review
The beach is great, not so crowded and not so noisy. The water is still, you can enjoy swimming like a pool and the best part is it is free to enter. Just lay down your towel and start swimming! The downside of this beach is it having just one place to buy foods and drinks other then that it is worth visiting.
Efekan K — Google review
We arrived at the beach early in the morning around 8:30 and managed to find sunbeds. The price for two sunbeds and an umbrella was €30. There is no beach bar or food/drink service, but there are showers available. In the early hours, the sea was clear and calm. However, after 10:00 a.m., it quickly became crowded—both with people and boats. Unfortunately, the water got noticeably dirty, and it became difficult to swim near the shore due to the crowd. Even further out, the sea was busy because of the boats. It’s disappointing to pay such a high price and have such a poor experience. In our opinion, it wasn’t worth the money.

Beautiful beach . Stunningly clear water. Amazing for snorkeling. If driving get there early pre 11am. After that it's carnage. Great restaurant. Sunbeds 20 euro two and umbrella ( not much space to put a towel down in the beach if you don't want to pay.... but if you walk round the beach there are beautiful flat rock areas to kay your towels). But after saying all this , BETTER to go to Anthony Quinn beach , literally 2 mins walk away from the car park. Beautiful, stunning , great restaurant . Brilliant snorkeling, great for kids ( i took family of 5 12-27yrs). Also , go talk to the H20 dive centre , next to the car park. They are awesome. They sort snorkeling equipment and also scuba try dives for all ages, at really shallow depths ( 1 or 2 m for kids ).

Visitors can also explore the nearby Kallithea Springs, known for its art deco architecture and pebble mosaics. This family-friendly beach offers sunbeds for hire and various water activities, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and adventure.
Beautiful calm beach. We paid €30 for 2 sun loungers with umbrella on the front row and €25 for the second row. We arrived at around 10am at there were plenty available. Nice little restaurant on the beach that will bring you food n drinks and a couple of shops that have beach essentials.

Having explored numerous beaches in Rhodes, I can confidently say this one stands out as my absolute favorite. In fact, despite our limited number of days on the island, we ended up visiting twice. Sunbed prices vary depending on their location; on our last day, we chose a cabana-style sunbed with covered sides and top for €25 per person. Both the service and quality exceeded our expectations. The restaurant offerings were exceptional. From breakfast to cocktails, every item was prepared with care, featuring balanced flavors and fresh ingredients. The staff were attentive, frequently checking in to ensure we were enjoying our time. The sea was crystal clear, and snorkeling around the rocks to observe various fish added an entirely new dimension to our day. With its pristine waters, comfort, and high-quality service, this beach delivers outstanding value

A lot of free parking spots. Downstairs at the "beach" the sunbeds cost 20€ ...the access to the des is not that easy and you should definitely be able to swim. Great for snorkeling. Wouldn't recommend for children...
Nico S — Google review
Very nice beach, but extremely packed and sunbeds everywhere. No much space left for just putting down your towels etc. Restaurant also rather overpriced, especially for Greek standards. However, super clear waters if you head out just a bit to the end and lovely snorkeling.
Stijn Z — Google review
“Public beach” is not correctly listed due if you want to go there you should pay the entrance tax for entering the complex - 5 euro, and then the beds. The sun lounges costed between 30/60 euros. The located beach bar there is very nice, also the personal. The food and the coffee were great. The only thing I didnt liked was the fact that the waiters were rushing to takw your food if u left it on the table without presence. But this is very small detail. We had a great time and if you wander I recommend you to visiting it. Kalithea springs itself is such a beautiful place and the beach was nice and clean.

Would really love to rate it 5 ⭐ But I can't do that this year. The reasons: Jordan's grill had been shut down by the authorities. After 30 years in the business 💔 Lots of rubbish is lying on the cliffs and in the sand. A used condom thrown under a sunbed was quite gross to find when you wanted to lie down. People can do whatever they want to. But be respectful and don't take it for granted that it's someone else's problem to pick up after you. Some ladders from the cliffs going to the sea have also been removed. Leading you to go on a very exciting slippery journey into the sea. Hoping you don't need to have a date with the orthopaedic consultant later in the day at the local A&E The lovely parts: The clean water, perfect for snorkeling! Amazing and beautiful setting, water is so clear and great for swimming and snorkelling. Paid €5 entry into area, €40 for 2 beds and umbrella. Staff wise with the exception of one main guy (who sings all the time) who looked after us at the remote bar area are so arrogant and unfriendly. After spending a small fortune (for us) throughout day on below mediocre food and shockingly bad cocktails we paid the bill and made our way to the main bar and was met by pretentious staff. Asked if they could us help us as we walked in the bar area with some self righteuos attitude, we couldn't of felt more unwelcome. We said we wanted some drinks in the sun and were told where you can't sit...in empty bar! We sat down and waited for about 20 minutes before waitress, who obviously isnt happy working in hospitality dropped some menus on our table and walked away. We eventually went to the bar to order drinks and were giving plastic cups for our wine and beer....barman never even looked up at us, acknowledged us or gave us a smile, just a dodgy look when told to fill the plastic cup up to the top with beer. Would of given 1 star if the setting wasn't so beautiful.

Lovely place to visit steps down into the sea 5 euro entry ,free for over 65 but you have to pay for sunbeds and umbrella 2 prices 30 euro and 40 euro depending where you go and food and drink is pricey so suggest you take your own food and drink visited here 10 years ago the sunbeds were free it gets very busy its also waiter service with a drinks and food menu the food is really nice but pricey I have visited 3 times now I won't be going again just to expensive there is lots of lovely little beaches you can go to in kalithea

Faliraki Beach, also known as Galazio Beach, is a family-friendly destination in Rhodes, conveniently located just 20 minutes from both Rhodes Town and the Airport. The beach offers a wide range of activities suitable for families with kids of all ages, including an obstacle watercourse and a water park. Despite its lively nightlife scene, Faliraki has transformed into a popular choice for families seeking entertainment and relaxation.
Nice and clean beach. Very quiet this time of year. The sea is also very clean and the water was clear as far as we went (about 60m). The sand is nice. You can go to an area without any shops or restaurants or choose to sit closer. We didn't rent a bed/umbrella.
Marit N — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Faliraki Beach – A Perfect Mix of Fun and Relaxation Faliraki Beach exceeded all expectations! The water is crystal-clear and warm, ideal for swimming, snorkeling, or just floating under the sun. The beach is long and spacious, with both lively spots full of music and activities, and quieter areas perfect for relaxing. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, and the beach is very clean and well-maintained. We loved how close everything was—restaurants, beach bars, shops, and even water sports stations. The staff at the local cafes were super friendly and prices were reasonable. Whether you're looking for a family day out, a romantic sunset walk, or fun with friends, Faliraki Beach has something for everyone. Highly recommend visiting if you're in Rhodes!

Absolutely Beautiful beach 🤩 The South part of this beach is the busiest, featuring many deckchairs, umbrellas and sunbeds, This majoritively sandy beach however is probably the most well-organised on the island of Rhodes with every kind of facility, from nice bars, restaurants and shops to watersports, boat hire and even a dedicated nudists beach. The middle and north area of the beach are the most chilled and the least crowded. If you love sandy beaches ⛱️ this is 💯% worth a visit. 👍🏽
S T — Google review
Lovely long, sandy beach. Water is shallow and was pleasantly warm on 13th June. Sunbeds were 20€ per a set. Parking is free. There is a changing cabin and water hose to wash yourself avialable too. Overall good experience.

Very nice beach bar! Really friendly staff. And the beach in front of it is amazing! Crystal clear waters and very clean!

Enjoyable beach, and you definitely need to rent a beach chair and umbrella. The sand was very hot, and the sun was blazing. Lol. Also, the Telum Bar at the beach had wonderful food and tasty drinks.
Joseph H — Google review
Nice areas for sunbathing if you don't want to have an expensive sunbed. Plenty of showers and changing cubicles dotted around.
Andrew W — Google review
This is a very nice beach with clear water and somewhat soft sand. There are various restaurants, sun beds, hotels, water sports, sea park and all sorts of things along the very long beach, so there is plenty to do and enjoy, something for any taste.

Theologos Beach is a serene and traditional Greek village located on the west coast of Rhodes. It offers a 10-km-long shoreline that attracts windsurfers due to the ideal wind conditions for kitesurfing. The beach provides rental facilities and lessons for windsurfing, making it perfect for enthusiasts of this extreme sport. Additionally, there are bars, mini-markets, and restaurants nearby.
Great pebble beach, excellent place to enjoy the sunset. Nice restaurant where you enjoy local Greek cusine, at very affordable prices

Pebbly Beach and can be very windy. If like wind surfing or kite surfing, this beach is perfect for this sport. There is only 1 restaurant, and they are renting 2 sunbed for Eu 10.Plenty space for public.

Rocky (pebbly) beach with a small beach cantina (foods and drinks). The beach is very isolated, windy and has a nice view. Went there almost every day for 7 days and every time it was a pleasant experience. Recommend to wear aqua shoes to protect your feet from the rocks.
Norbert L — Google review
I would not come back to this beach as it is windy, has grey rough gravel like sand and big stones as you enter the water, sore on the feet. It is much used by kite surfers tho so if that's your sport it may be ideal. There are basic WCs, several bars and parking under the trees but sadly also some piles of old trash. The water is clear but there is a big chimney of diesel producer at one end of the village. The resort runs along a busy road and looks and feels run down.
Caroline H — Google review
Pebbly beach so take aqua shoes. Lovely and warm water and the sunset is so pretty. Quite windy so may not be good for swimming but lots of aqua activities available like windsurfing

A beautiful beach. A bit windy, but clean and not so crowded. There is a shower, toilet and changing rooms on site

Very rocky beach - stones everywere. Stones and lots of waste - from plastic bottles to cigarette filters to used condoms. Some areas with sunbeds provided are cleaner, and there are also some picturesque places around. However, the beach in the wholesome looks unclean.
Vidmantas G — Google review
Lovely quiet beach with beds and umbrellas for a good price. If you want a sand beach don’t go, if you want the real Greek experience go! and bring your watershoes for the stones. There is little restaurant at the beach with the most friendly owner ever! There is a toilet and a shower on the beach.

The Decorative Arts Collection of Rhodes is a treasure trove of artifacts reflecting the elegance of the island's inhabitants in modern times. Housed in a former Knight's arsenal, the museum showcases an extensive array of Dodecanese treasures including costumes, embroidery, woodwork, metalwork, and pottery objects.
Wonderful exposition of ancient Greec art. Worth to see!
Furyu1959 — Google review
Only one room, no number or individual info aboat the items and no photo policy for no apparent reason. This makes it hard to make the visit last for more than 10 minutes. The only info was the sheet at the entrance that I show. Notice that nearly all photos posted here and many reviews are from the Archeological Museum nearby. The collection is available with the combined ticket that also gives access to the Archeological Museum. Hidden far inside the Archeological Museum is restored an ottoman house. The house is quite empty and decorative items from such homes are found in this Decorative Arts Collection. Vistiting both museums is adviced.
Robert A — Google review
Worth popping into if you have the combination ticket. It's quite small with lots of patterned plates and a few chests/trunks. They looked interesting but unfortunately we left knowing nothing about them as there was no information at all provided in any language, even to highlight what century they were from. You're not allowed to take pictures which seemed odd, and we were the only ones there but the member of staff basically followed us around the whole time to keep an eye on us, which was more odd.
Stanley D — Google review
Wonderful decorative arts. Staff very friendly & answered several of our questions in an enthusiastic way about the art. Very knowledgeable- thank you. (No photos unloaded as not allowed). Bought a combined ticket for all 4 sites - Excellent value at €10
E W — Google review
Not particularly interesting unless you like pottery. No much information on what you are seeing. It is very small but i visited as part of a combined tickets with the Palace, Archeological Museum (10 euros)
JR S — Google review
A single large room containing a collection of (mostly) ceramics and wooden chests. The layout is designed to look pretty rather than to provide historical information - and, indeed, there are no labels. But the staff are willing to answer questions. No photos, for some reason. Well worth a short visit, as long as your expectations are aligned.
John W — Google review
Most of these photos don’t seem to show the actual museum, and I was told no photos were permitted inside — this is not worth paying €6 unless you have the combination ticket (which is €10 for 5 museums, definitely worth it!). You can see the whole “museum” in 10 minutes, which is just one large room. Beautiful artifacts but not what I assume most come to Rhodes to see, and very little descriptions for what you’re looking at. Highly recommend looking at the closing time. I bought my combination ticket at the Archeological Museum at ~15:00 and realized the Decorative Arts Collection closed at 15:30. The ticket seller at the Archeological Museum was very kind and said she’d remember me if I came back after it closed, and advised me on one other location for ticket admission that would also close at 15:30. I was able to see both in the 30 minutes before they closed. The ticket clerk at the Decorative Arts Collection checked her watch when I arrived at 15:15, but allowed me in no problem and helpfully directed me to the virtual brochure that gave the very little info available on the collection.

Paralia Elli, located at the northern tip of Rhodes, is a stunning beach that offers a delightful Mediterranean experience. With its pebbly shoreline and vibrant blue waters of the Aegean Sea, it's perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Visitors can rent umbrellas and sunbeds for around 10 to 15 euros for the day, but if you arrive later in the afternoon, you might just snag one for free!
I wanted to share my recent visit to a lovely beach located just around the peninsula from Elli Beach. This charming spot features a pebble beach and offers sunbeds and umbrellas for visitors. One of the highlights of this beach is the waves, which can be quite large, making it an absolute blast to jump and play in the water. The beach boasts crystal-clear water and a magnificent view of the turquoise sea. Additionally, the city centre is right next door, providing access to good restaurants. You can also enjoy beautiful sunsets on the northeast side of the beach.
Sunny M — Google review
Very nice - located on the western side of the peninsula. It can get a little windy at times, but still, it was a very nice beach to visit.
Norm P — Google review
Windy beach with intense waves. Good for cooling down when you're in the city but there are far nicer places on the island for relaxing and exploring so this one is not a "highlight" per se. It's very fun to swim in the waves but the noise from rattling parasols in the wind can get on your nerves. 15€ for two beds is a bit steep compared to the other much nicer places. Also the area close to the aquarium / bottom of the shore is the best, the middle part along the shore with big hotels is very crowded, littered with trash and there are big noisy construction sites. So best to go to the top or bottom of the shore.
Anna T — Google review
Magical sunset, nice waters. The only thing that ruined it for me was that the restroom was 50cent, I don’t care about the cost but the fact that they don’t take card is wrong.

Lots of stones, not a sandy beach, high waves almost every day, water is nice when no waves. 15€ for sun-bed and umbrella. Lots of noise from a new hotel nearby they’re building.

The Museum of Modern Greek Art, located in the heart of Rhodes, is a must-visit during your trip to the island. Housed in a modern building complex within the Medieval Town, it showcases an impressive collection of contemporary works by Greek and foreign painters who have made Rhodes their permanent home. The museum also features a preserved windmill at its back and offers visitors the opportunity to explore ancient foundations visible beneath clear panels on the floor.
To be honest I only went for a function that was held here, but I was quite impressed! I love how you exposed the ancient foundation, visible underneath your feet while walking on clear panels. Those exhibits never cease to amaze me.

The Recep Pasha Mosque, dating back to 1588, is a significant example of Ottoman influence in Rhodes Old Town. The Clock in Rhodes is a unique attraction that often goes unnoticed by tourists. Located at the top of the city, this grandfather clock offers more than just telling time - it's an impressive sight to behold. Visitors can enjoy the clock without dealing with large crowds or long lines, making it a peaceful stop on their travels. The analog clock is placed on a high column, allowing it to be easily visible from all sides.

No line to see it and you could be 4 persons looking at it from different angles and still see the same thing. Insane. Loved it. Love it. Will definitely fly back in just to take a look every once in a while.

As a connoisseur of fine horology, I know a thing or two about clocks. And let me tell you, this is one! If you have grown weary of looking at your Bruguet and your JLC no longer sparks joy, it's time to visit the clock in Rhodes and rediscover your love of all things time-keeping. Is the clock a knockoff off the Mondaine swiss railroad clock? Yes, but it is so much more. It stands vigil night and day keeping would be tardy beachgoers on time. Definitely the highlight of my visit to Rhodes.

Been twice. Once at 12 am couldn’t get a seat at black jack table which wasn’t great. 2nd time went at 6pm plenty of seats, dealers are good but no comp alcoholic drinks ( hot drinks free). Outdoor bar is lovely and bar staff very friendly

Very nice casino, lively atmosphere, some drinks are not free but not very expensive. The lottery is fun
Haifa M — Google review
Entrance and registration is welcoming. Not a huge place but there are plenty of slot machines (some are newer but many of them are rather old games). Given card is only for identification, you need to insert cash to the machines and need to cash out (to a printed receipt) when you want to play on an another machine. We played with a small amount just for fun and did not have a bad experience. As a non-smoker, I appreciate the non-smoking rule personally. Only simple drinks are free but the alcohol drinks and food are to be paid. These might not suit the likes of regulars of casinos in Cyprus or some other places. I cannot comment about the loss or win chance about certain games. Of course house always wins at the end 😅
Murat Y — Google review
Contrary to other reviews and maybe changes have been implemented but it does not smell of smoke, in fact we never saw anyone smoking. The staff are very pleasant and courteous. We had complimentary coffee and soft drinks served to us. Toilets are clean and there is an abundance of hand gel everywhere. Masks are required even when sitting. If you have never been before you'll need to become a member so take your passport with you or photo id. Entry is free. Benefits also mean with your membership card will can use the free carpark. Table games are upstairs but minimums are high. Downstairs there is lots of slots and start at 1 cent. We enjoyed our visits and apart from it looking a little tired in places our experience was good.
Gary L — Google review
Mostly clientele from north-west Europe and in places like this tone is set for the games based on clients. The place is set in a very nice historical building, we also stayed in hotel which is very nice and more professionally managed compared to other places. Varities of games and facilities of course as not competitive as Cyprus but separated on physical games and slots distinction. Very possible to win with just and lawful games, so a bit makes sense why coctail drinks are not free. Overall nice experince to spend some time and bucks with friends / family. The staff was nice and responsive, had no issue - we had thorough and welcoming explanations at every step. Totally recommend to spend some time. The payout and cash-in is based on a personal card (which you can use if you visit Rhodes later time again) which might be frustrating at first but helps you manage your cash. (P.s. Turkish ID card is very much valid to make first time membership and explained in detail from the start, don't mind the other comments)
