Fun things to do in Marmaris: 19 fun attractions and activities

In Marmaris for a day trip and stopped by to visit the old castle in old town of Marmaris. It is a good mix between info and adventure. Beautiful view of Marmaris and the harbour! Takes maybe 40-60min for a visit. Make sure to also stop at the near by panorama bars.

Wonderful Castle at the top of Marmaris old town. Well maintained and worth €6 entry. Great explanations attached to each exhibit including QR codes to take you to more detailed information. Amazing views across Marmaris and the bay, but cover up, there’s little shade. Wandering up the little streets to the castle was a lovely relief from the bazaar and energetic shop keepers. Take your time, get an iced coffee on the way up, don’t miss out on a hidden gem.

Marmaris Castle offers a captivating glimpse into the region's rich history. While relatively small, the museum inside is well-curated, showcasing artifacts that bring the past to life. The real draw, however, is the panoramic view from the ramparts. Overlooking Marmaris Harbor, the bustling marina, and the surrounding coastline, it's a photographer's dream. The climb can be a bit steep, but the vistas are well worth the effort. A must-see for history buffs and anyone seeking stunning views. Don't forget your camera! The castle provides some excellent photo opportunities and overall a good experience with nice views and history.

Well cured grounds and landscaping. A small site to visit, with only a couple of rooms open to view artifacts inside. You can likely view the entire site in 30 minutes if you're not with kids. With toddlers add an extra 30 minutes.

Nice small castle, well looked after and has good views over the harbour. Honestly found the surrounding area (old town) more beautiful.

Beautiful castle. Lovely display of archeological finds. Great views from the top as well. We had a lovely time. Staff are really friendly. €6 to get in for an adult. There is somewhere to store prams at the entrance. We carried our son around, but he is only 7 months. A fair few stairs in the castle. Please note there are stairs to get up to entrance. Not wheelchair friendly.

Visited Marmaris Castle. The view from on top of the castle were absolutely amazing, you could see all the way across Marmaris and out to sea. It also gave great views of the harbour and the boats coming in and out. There was a 6 euro entry fee, but it was worth it. The castle its self isn't very big but has a lot of information about it's history, with some good artifacts to look at. It's isn't buggy friendly but the staff were really helpful and let us leave our buggy at the main office while we walked around. There are quite a lot of steps to gain access to the different parts of the castle which might be difficult for some people.

It's okay, but you can't really call it a waterpark. It is more of a splash park. Slides are okay, but once again, not what you would expect when it is sold to you as a water park/aqua park. It will feel like better value for money if one were to come with kids or teenage kids; otherwise, you will be in and out in a maximum of two hours. They have a soft play area on site. Not had any issues with staff personally but I do agree with other comments about them being glued to the phones. And, yes, I've seen them as well lit a cigarette and chill at the top of the slides.

I've visited many water parks across Spain, and while they tend to be massive, Marmaris Atlantis Water Park is smaller in comparison. That said, we had a fantastic time! The park was clean, with plenty of lifeguards ensuring safety. The food service was efficien and our order was delivered quickly. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d definitely come back!

Small, but good fun for kids and a change from the hotel pool. Free shuttle bus picks you up and takes you back later. Your entry also includes access to the sunbeds on the beach in front of the water park, where you can come in and out as many times as you want. Drinks and food can also be had on the beach.

Good water park with a view and its own beach with enough sun beds, you can come in and out more than once, there are enough water slides and a wave pool.

We were sold this experience by the rip-off merchant, known as Murat, a holiday rep, who does nothing but rip-off guests. This excursion, for example is only 24TL and he sold it to us for 35TL each. I don't know why a minibus was required considering it was a few minutes walk from the Point Beach Hotel (a budget hotel masquerading as a 4* hotel). The staff were lovely at the water park. In particular the two lifeguards near the blue slide. All the slides are fantastic including the wave machine. There was very little waiting time and we had a great deal of fun. The only point of note was that the restaurant where we ordered our food would not serve us at the sunbeds. It was only the white water park users that got that service, we had to order our food in at the desk at then collect it from there when we were ordered to. We would not eat there again, we'd rather go elsewhere.

Good for kids and adults. Lots of slides and pools- staff are very helpful. Can get a tad crowded at times though. Food inside was nice although expensive- there’s also a nice play area for kids which is helpful. Safety wise there’s lockers that keep your items safe which is guarded by staff. Overall a good experience and would recommend if in the area. Price wise £25 per adult and children are free (not sure up to what age)- my son is 1 years and was allowed free entry. visited in July 2025

Came here mid November we were fortunate enough to have lovely weather for a couple days, the beach is clean and if you sit near one the the restaurants or bars they allow you to use the Sun Loungers and give you free WiFi providing you purchase a drink from them.

The sand is brown ,it's kind of dry clay in most of the parts, don't expect white fine sand. The sea is brown as well, if you go to the deep part it can be a little bit more clear. If you want to go snorkeling ,that's isn't the beach ,go to Turunç, Turunç is amazing. Marmaris beach facilities are spectacular, showers everywhere, places to get changed and toilets. Amazing facilities.

A sandy beach stretches on the part of the coast of Marmaris and belongs to the municipality, it is crowded most of the time in the morning and evening, there are public sanitary facilities and places for changing clothes, as well as places for bathing and washing the body after going to the sea. There is a nearby park that has children's games.

Parked in the new carpark along the front, lots of space and walked the whole length of marmaris, there was a kite festival so they were everywhere. Wandered back along the pazar area which has lots of little shops, lovely afternoon

Great place to go if you want to just have a swim and peace and quiet.

Lots to do and some fantastic restaurants

It is a beautiful forrest very close to city center. Why this national forrest special is beacuse it's unique and rare kind of Trees. It is called Sığla in Turkish and known as Francankinse ( i am sure i wrote wrong 😁). These photos are from an activity in this national park for saving wild nature.

Place is very nice, playgrounds are great and there are a lot of places to sit in the shade. There is an entrance fee which is really cheap only 5TL. No card accepted but nice lady at the entrance let me in for just 2tl since I ran out of lyras...

Perfect place for a family.adventure park and play grounds bang on to keep kids occupied and be entertained. Reasonable prices. Nice picnic tables on the grasses. Yoga area. Kids event area. Take your own food and drink. No alcohol allowed which is right for a such nice place like this with kids around. Small sandy beach. Not enough and uncomfortable sunbeds but clean spot. Bang on for a family.

Really beautiful spot just outside the marina, views of the sea and children's play area was great 4 people 1 pound entry. You can see fish and little turtles here, its a great place to take a picnic and relax.

Great location and amenities. Yet, from beach to the entrance, full with cigarette buds. Garbages everywhere. Crowded in the summer. Nice to spend an hour or two maybe! Cheap vacation spot.

Great place to share a Yoga Practice on International Yoga Day June 21st 2018.

I wanted a Turkish experience. Got a cheap tourist show instead. Food was not local, shows were modernish and the photographer was supper annoying walking around and trying to sell his pictures mid shows, interrupting people and flashing light. There was also massive noise from nearby bars interrupting the thing. If you just want to get drunk it' 5/5. If you'd like to see some Turkish culture, it's barely there.

Very good craic. The show is fu of different types or Turkish dance. All I can say is you are in for a surprise. The food was lovely so we're the drinks. It's always nice to get fruit as dessert. The show is quite interactive. Let the hair down and enjoy yourself.

Visited this venue on 7th Aug, 2025 for Turkish night. They didn't disappoint. The team's service was on point. The food was good, and the entertainment was fantastic. Thank you for a great evening

Well worth the £45 it cost us (for 2 people), food was ok, chicken with rice, veg, chips and dips followed by a fruit plate, great entertainment, lots of local Turkish dancing including 2 belly dancers one of which was, shall we say, unique, but very entertaining. There is free local drink, soft and alcoholic at the bar with free bottles of red and white wine on the table included in the price of the ticket and named brand drinks and cocktails available to buy as well, there is a raffle, every ticket wins a prize and there are photographers taking your picture ( these are very good quality and are ready for purchase before you go home). You are picked up from your hotel and taken back at the end of the night. This includes Icmeler, too.

Really great experience and good if you have kids but make sure they have a swim suit or trucks on and take a towel coz if they stand close to the fountain they will get wet , show starts 9pm nightly and is done to music worth the watch

Finally got to see the famous dancing fountains in Marmaris — they start at 9pm and are definitely a highlight of any visit here. 💦✨ The music, lights, and water displays are brilliant, and the atmosphere is buzzing with families and holidaymakers. Can’t believe it’s taken me five trips to actually see them, but worth the wait!

Not as breathtaking as Dubai fountain, obviously on the much smaller scale. Still, lovely spot. I recommend to visit after sunset. Nice to chill and relax. Lovely, calming atmosphere.

It starts daily from 9:00 pm until 9:30 pm. It is very nice. I used to come here everyday when i was in marmaris

The slides were very nice, the foam was insufficient at the foam party and we didn't have much fun. The area for children is very nice, I recommend it. While some employees were interested, I did not like the attitude of some employees. If not for those employees, I would recommend it very well in general.

Amazing waterpark, much better than the one on the beach, worth paying the extra for! Plenty of pools and slides for all ages! Staff more than helpful pulling out extra sunbeds as and when requested, the scottish lady on the bar was very friendly! Kids loved the icecream & strawberries! We will 100% return on our next trip to turkey!

The kitchen chef was amazing! Great food and he is very friendly. Big portions and the kitchen is spotless. Very nice place.

Fantastic boat trip, out all day with loads of food, chicken, fish, salad & bread, all for a tenner. Drinks were very cheap. Plenty of water time and friendly staff who took time to chat. No loud music, very relaxing in fact we went twice because we enjoyed so much. Thanx to all the staff for making this enjoyable.

Worst experience I’ve ever had, and the good reviews are a scam by the people that run it. Took over 2 hours before we even sat on a quad bike due to poor pick up coordination and slow starts. You’re promised an hour on the quad bike / buggy but it was around 30 minutes, which was more than enough due to the disappointing track (not off road experience) You then get soaked by a hose and someone slaps you in the face with mud to make the pictures look more adventurous than they actually are. If they cared about customer experience and safety, they would reduce the group side and get better equipment.

Really disappointed by the quad and buggy safari. We were told it would be a 45 minute transfer, which turned out to be 1.5 hours. When we finally arrived we sat around for half an hour waiting for the tour to start. The tour then had too many people in it, meaning we couldn’t go very fast at all and was actually quite boring. We were promised off road through the mountains, when in fact we got 5 minutes off road and the remaining time was either on a man made track or on a road going past a landfill site. There was also a 5 minute vape break which was completely unnecessary. We were also told we would get very wet and muddy during the ride. This turned out to only be because they sprayed us with a hose and dumped mud all over us. We were also not told about the amount of dust there would be meaning when we arrived we had to pay for a bandana and goggles. We also had to pay for the locker which we were told was mandatory for our belongings. Do not book this.

Worst quad biking I have ever been on. Old, poor condition and low powered quads. You are taken out as a group of almost 50 people at the same time. You drive round a small obstacle circuit for 20 mins where they wet you with hoses and puddles then you drive along a flat road doing max 10mph before turning back. AVOID!!! The transfer to the quad biking was more exciting than the quad biking

It's not a 'tour', it's a let's have a practice go on an old quad bike. Absolutely worst excursion in all my years. A few slow laps on a dirt course. They keep getting you to drive through man made muddy puddles & wet hose wall so they can keep taking 'action' photos of you. Then it was a very sad 20 minute drive up a back road littered with rubbish all along it. Just as you finally think the 'tour' is starting as you are taken off road, you arrive in a concrete car park for a 5 minute break! I've been on many quad tours. They are normally a lovely way to see a bit of the country. I was depressed after 15 minutes in. They still manage to fleece that bit extra out of you too by telling us once there, no bags, no phones or photographs. Extra charge to use their lockers. Every shabby moment they were trying to set up action shots that they photographed for you. Most depressing holiday experience ever & until this excursion, I have always given rave reviews for quad excursions. AVOID!!!!.. No photos to help express the misery as I would have been charged at least £27.00 extra for a couple of us, well, looking shocked & miserable.

Waste of time, the atv s are only good for scrap metal, I had to keep turning left to keep the quad straight. You go around a track, wich is not bad, but they start to hose you down with water( don t really see the point of that) , too many people to enjoy the "safari" experience. There is no safari experience. In the end they charge you 5£ per photo, and if you want all of them 35£ for a stick. Experience 1/10 .

Really well organised and so much fun. You are recommended to buy safety glasses and a mask - I would get both of these unless you need prescription glasses as there is a lot of dust. You will get filthy but it's the most fun.

Best day ever! Medusa Deluxe was seriously awesome – the boat looked amazing and the whole pirate vibe was so cool. We had so much fun jumping into the sea at the swim stops and just chilling on the sunbeds. The music, the shows, the energy – everything was on point! Staff were super friendly too. Our family spent a day at sea with Captain Efe and his crew and it was undoubtedly the highlight of our holiday. We were on Zeus 2 which is a large, immaculately clean boat which had loads of room for our group. We were taken to 4 locations to swim, paddleboard and snorkel and kept away from the large party boats. The sea was crystal clear and we were fortunate to see and swim with a sea turtle. There were plenty of drinks and ice creams on board and the lunch was delicious. Would highly recommend, it was such a brilliant day out. Thank you Efe!

Gotta say I was sceptical of booking a boat trip everywhere seemed a bit dodgy nowhere official to book online however after seeing how good the reviews were for this we booked it. And it did not disappoint very reasonably priced, peaceful and not rammed full of people. The food was brilliant and the hospitality was amazing we spent all day on the boat they took us to multiple different places that was absolutely stunning and great for a swim. No pressure to do anything if you just wanted to relax all day you could if you wanted to swim, paddle board ect. Was very clean. Will definitely be recommending and if we come back to this part of turkey we will definitely do this again.

Amazing private boat trip today, the boat was amazing and spotless. Everybody onboard couldn’t do enough to help us and keep us comfortable and enjoying ourselves throughout the trip. Brilliant boat trip, friendly, welcoming hosts and a great way to relax at sea for the day. Had a really good time and met some amazing people along the way. You won’t regret going if you book, you’re treated like royalty for the day. If you don’t like being touched or feel forced in to doing dancing etc just say no and they’ll leave you alone. Free drinks and food along the way too so make the most. Didn’t eat the food so can’t comment. Overall would definitely recommend.

I have been going on this boat for the last 8 years and it is the best boat in Marmaris. The captain and crew are some of my closest friends and such lovely, hard working lads.. they can’t do enough to make your trip enjoyable. The food is amazing, all inclusive and great value for money. The photographer is a little gem and takes amazing pictures at a good price . I recommend a day out on aqua life and I guarantee that you’ll want to return every time you’re in Marmaris .

90 euros for 15 minutes of jet-ski. Complete rip off. Turks think this is the Sardinia or the French Riviera. The beach and water is also full of trash. People here have 0 environmental awareness. Don't come to Turkey for summer holiday.

Similar to most of experiences here. They don’t allow you to take your own pictures. No cell phone signs everywhere to get you to buy photos from them. It’s an absurd practice in the age of social media that has to stop. Other then that, the activities were great.

Great bunch of guys who made sure me and the family had a brilliant time at a really reasonable cost. We're back again in October and will definitely be paying them another visit!

Awesome, just awesome! Dealt with me very responsibily and honestly. Made good deals for and the best priced from any water sports the beach. Other guys tried to ripp us off by almost double the price. I have been with them 10 years ago and just went to them recently and still as good as last time I was here. Really recommend them. Good guys and you get the best price.

Saw someone getting parasailed during a thunderstorm. These guys are dangerous and will do anything for a quick buck.

This level of bespoke service, care, and attention to detail made our stay in Marmaris that much more enjoyable. The weather unfortunately was rainy towards the end of our stay. However, that did not impact the meticulous organisation of the excursions we chose - from Turtle Beach and Private boat tour, to the Jeep Safari and Turkish Night cultural show/dinner. In Marmaris there are many travel agencies. They all tell you a dufferent story and give a different prices. But at the end all lead to the same path. After speaking to so many tourist guides we decided to choose Yagna Tour. Because Alladin seemed very nice guy. After listening to the story and seeing a nice pictures on their broshure we got a tour to Hisaronu. But after the tour we were so dissappointed. The  on the bus for 30 minutes to get to the yacht. But when bus arrived there was no seats, so we had to wait for the next one. The guide was little bit rude,  boring and not intereting at all. The whole tour we were waiting to see a place where you can literally  walk on the water. Nobody told us where it was and they just skip it. So basically we just went to the tour for swimming what we could just do in front of our hotel's beach. We paid $20 per person and their credit card machine was not working so we had to go the nearest grocery store where they charged 10 tl extra. Long story short - do not trust this company! Better go with english-speaking tours.
