Just steps from the Cathedral, on the famous Calle Trapería, you can admire the splendid Royal Casino of Murcia. Its extraordinary beauty and elegant interiors earned it the title of National Historic Monument in 1983. Built in 1847 as a luxurious entertainment venue for the city's wealthy elite, it continues to serve this purpose today as a private club with highly select members. After extensive renovations, the casino became "Royal" in 2009, at the behest of King Juan Carlos I. The casino is open to the public, who, with an admission ticket, can access some of the sumptuous interior rooms, immersing themselves in the glittering past of the city's wealthy elite. Aesthetically, the entire building features an unusual combination of different styles from various eras, making it a unique monument. The sumptuous facade, designed by architect Pedro Cerdán Martínez, features classical and modernist decorations, resulting in a highly eclectic result. The first exhibit is work a view in itself - and extensive neopolitan depiction of the Holy land at the time of Christ, all in miniature works. Rest of the museum details preparatory work, sketches and process for producing Salzillo's sculptures, his nativity scene and the Easter Procession. Interesting in its own right, but particularly those interested in the Easter procession.

The museum was opened a few years ago, it contains the original Baroque religious sculptures made by Salzillo, the Murcian artist who lived during the Inquisition, in the 18th century. The entry fee is around 3/5 € and it includes the chapel of Jesus. The sculptures are used during the procession on Good Friday, before Easter. The museum was visited by the King of Spain for a recent exhibition and is kept really well.

The Episcopal Palace on Plaza del Cardenal Belluga in Murcia, Spain. was rebuilt in the late 18th century after flooding of the nearby Segura River destroyed an earlier bishop's palace.

A singular example of why Murcia is a place truly worthy of visiting. The Episcopalian Palace bursts with classical architectural finesse and an inspiring, historic air. If you are patient, the street before it can be empty of pedestrians, allowing for a clear photograph of the structure's splendid archways and centuries old contours.

I thought this museum was a few church sculptures. Nothing could be further from the truth. Great museum and free entry, a building with a fascinating history, a film about it (subtitles also in English!). Some interesting artifacts and also church figures and paintings. Inside there is a nice courtyard and smells of orange blossoms. I highly recommend it, remember to enter behind the pharmacy from the Gran Vía Alfonso side.

The museum offers two distinct levels concentrating on classic religious art and archaeology. While not very extensive, both areas are interesting with quality artifacts, although the archeological side feels partial in some of its educational displays, edging on downplaying the Moorish origins and foundations. Nonetheless, it is an enjoyable experience, and an important cultural experience in the city.

Enjoyed sitting in the sun and admiring the lovely enormous trees which Google tells me are fig trees. A pleasant place to walk and see some flowers in march. Several children playing in the playground while mums chat on their phones.

I used to pass through this park daily on my walk to work and it was always a nice little break from the city. It's well maintained with large shady trees and feels cooler than the surrounding area. Lots of benches and a playground area for kids, as well as a charming gazebo people love taking pics in. An easy walk from the Cathedral, which is the city center.

Bridge built to replace an older bridge in 1718 by Toribio Martinez de la Vega. The name is related to the small church of the Virgen de los Peligros, found on one of the sides and that it connects to town center.

Beautiful cathedral with a fascinating mix of architectural styles visible from the outside. The details and decorations are absolutely breathtaking, and it really makes you appreciate these kinds of buildings that simply aren’t built anymore. Entrance is €5 for the cathedral alone or €7 if you want to visit both the cathedral and the museum. The downside is that in the museum almost all descriptions are only in Spanish, with just a few objects explained in English. For most of the exhibition you’ll need to rely on Google Translate.

The staff was very friendly during my visit. The museum is free. I enjoyed the exhibition that showcased the history of coins used in Spain. Many of the introductions are in Spanish only, but overall, it was a very pleasant visit.

Temporary exhibitions are always of sublime archaeological interest from the region of Murcia. Neanderthal exhibits at present. The permanent exhibits are extremely informative ranging through to Roman era in the region.

I know it's Spain but if you want tourists to visit there should be translation options and there were none! But it's an amazing museum

Lovely little museum with free entry and friendly staff. Wasn't that busy when we went and the displays are well presented. The text is in Spanish only so make sure to download the app (shown in reception) which gives other language options for most of the displays. Hidden gem! We enjoyed is so much! There is a separate “playroom” for children to play and explore. We loved it!

I’d say that it is must with kids (maybe under 7 years or more). It is museum, but it is so interesting for kids like game room. It is interesting for adults too. There is nice exhibition of rocks, shells, beetles, butterflies. Expositions of physical laws. Illusion room. The last room in museum is playroom with water, bricks, crayons, etc. We spent here 2 hours of fun. Our 5 and 3 years boys were very happy.

The whole museum seems to lack main theme. The exposition is about everything and nothing. It just doesn't work as a whole. Plus some things are broken or missing. There are no plaques in English, there is an audio guide for your phone but I just don't like walking through a museum while staring at my phone. It's not a big deal to just write it in English on a plaque.

My two year old had so much fun. We spent 2 hours in the sala infantil and then found a surprising amount of fun things to do in the main hall. I think children up to 7 would be enchanted by this place.

The exhibition itself is unfortunately not really to my taste, however it is nice to look at something different. It all depends on your own preferences and the current exhibition. I find it a neat place to see paintings and sculptures at well-curated exhibitions. It is rarely crowded, almost never I would say, therefore anyone can stroll along its basement hall sorrounded by columns and walk up onto its staircase to the upper floor into its second exhibition hall. If you are into art, it is worth your visit.

We went karting today and had lots of fun! It was an activity promoted by the city council regarding Christmas Holidays. Weather was cold but the activity was ok! Had to wait in the line for over 30min though. Anyway, it was worth it! Then, we visited the Three Wise Men campsite, which was nearby. It was expensive since it cost 8€ each. It was also fun and quite entertaining.
