Schwabentor is a famous sight in Freiburg, known for being one of the gates in the city wall during medieval times. The Old Town features little creeks flowing through its streets, providing a refreshing experience and improving the climate. Located south of Freiburg is the Black Forest, renowned for its dense forests and iconic Black Forest cherry cake.
Freiburg has two surviving medieval city gates: Martinstor and Schwabentor, both originally part of the city's 13th-century fortifications. Martinstor, the older of the two, was significantly modified in the early 1900s with Neo-Gothic additions that gave it its current height and clock tower. Schwabentor was similarly enlarged in the 20th century. It features a mural depicting a Swabian merchant who, according to legend, tried to buy Freiburg with sacks of salt.
Kent W — Google review
One of the gates of the old town. Very beautiful and very nicely restored. An interesting old-new contrast is given by the tram line that passes through the arch of the gate, on which modern trams pass.
Paul C — Google review
A very beautiful avenue full of clothing, food, cosmetics shops, a very special clock building, part of the entrance gates to the city
איל א — Google review
A very beautiful monument, being one of the only 2 remaining entrences in the Old Frieburg Citadel, along with Martinstor.
Codrin G — Google review
Beautiful architecture. Worth the walk. Besodes, you can find a great bakery below the gate. You can find a good variety of sandwiches and sweet breads. Perfect spot for a photo and snack pause ⏸️!!
Daniel G — Google review
The Schwabentor is one of the only two remaining old city entrances of the fortified city of Freiburg. It is a beautiful tower with a special architecture that lets you into the city center. From here you can walk into the center to all the shopping streets. It is a beautiful building with the painting that depicts the legend of Schwaben. With its merchant carrying barrels full of money to buy the city of Freiburg. The idea was not only absurd but even funnier when they found out his wife secretly took the money and replaced it with sand and stones 😂
Nikita N — Google review
Nice gate that leads to the hill on the edge of the city with many walking and hiking paths. Its in good condition and a main sight in the city.

Art Museums
Nestled in the heart of Freiburg, the Augustiner Museum is a captivating destination for art enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Housed within a beautifully restored former monastery church, this museum showcases an impressive collection of artworks spanning from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. The architectural brilliance of Christoph Mackler has transformed this historic site into a modern gallery that enhances the viewing experience, allowing visitors to appreciate each piece from various perspectives.
This museum was really nice and surprisingly extensive! I was amazed at the very beginning! You get to see some really cool statues and learn about some really interesting history!
Ms. K — Google review
A not very large museum, housed in the building of a former church. In general, you will see religious art. A unique and interesting fact is that there is a small room where you can watch the restoration of some paintings live through the window. There is a small painting exhibition in the attic. On the ground floor is an temporary exhibition with objects from the former German colonies in Africa. If you are not a fan of religious art, you visit it in about an hour.
Paul C — Google review
Excellent museum. Not very big but quite interesting, especially because of the gothic statues and (pseudo) gargoyles that you normally could have admired only from a huge distance on the cathedral tower. You can walk up to them and also see them from above. Similarly they have some beautiful stained glass that you can admire from up close. Apart from these statues and the glass they have a fine collection of medieval paintings and (other) sculptures. Another bonus is their organ, which was played at noon on the Saturday that I visited.
Rob N — Google review
An excellent museum. I truly enjoyed the wonderful artworks on display. The lady at the front desk was very kind and welcoming. However, while visiting the second floor, one of the gallery attendants seemed a bit overly strict. I did not touch any artwork and kept a reasonable distance of about 30 cm, yet she repeatedly said "No, no, no" and followed me around, which I found quite unpleasant. Despite this, I greatly appreciate the museum and the effort put into providing such a remarkable experience.
Stephan — Google review
The museum is set in an old church which has been renovated and converted. Beautiful building with an outstanding roof showing the ancient oak beams. All the pieces are of religious significance and all beautifully maintained and preserved. Unfortunately the staff watched you like a hawk which really put you on edge...
Cliff B — Google review
Fantastic museum in an impressively renovated building with beautiful art from the middle ages to 19th century.
Wouter B — Google review
A must-visit musuem while in Freiburg! Beautiful museum full of amazing art pieces from the medieval ages set in an ancient monastery. All the descriptions are well written and the museum is organized well. Much of the museum has been well preserved and restored, and there is a lot of construction on the exterior but it very minimally affected my experience inside. Great addition of an elevator for those handicapped or not capable of going up many flights of stairs. The special exhibits on the bottom of the museum and top were very engaging and well curated.
Let's H — Google review
During my visit on a Saturday there was supposedly a fire alarm and all guests had to be removed from the building. The Museum closed down much earlier than it was supposed to. We couldn't get back inside later to complete our visit, no money back or a voucher either. Many guests didn't even manage to go to the first floor. I missed the third floor, which I really wanted to see. This has never happened to me before in a museum. An unpleasant experience.

Martinstor is a reconstructed gate tower originally built for defense in the early 13th century, featuring a large clock. It is one of the surviving gates of the former city fortifications in Freiburg. The oldest part of a 66-meter-high tower, Martinstor was rebuilt at the end of the 19th century to accommodate traffic flow.
Wunderbar! Toured 2 hrs. today One of the best beautiful scenery ever, highly recommended while in Germany for vacation or business

Nice very tall tower. It's a pity I couldn't fly my drone there to get a nice aerial shot of the whole gate.

One of the most recognizable sights in town, the gate is most beautiful from the inner city side. Shame there is a McDonald's located next to it. However it's stunning still. Too bad its not open to the public.

The Freiburg Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Our Lady, is a stunning example of Gothic architecture located in the heart of Freiburg's old town. The cathedral features a square tower that offers panoramic views of the picturesque Black Forest.
The market was absolutely perfect! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, filled with lively stalls and an amazing variety of products. It was a pleasure just to walk around, surrounded by wonderful scents and the energy of a bustling market. What really stood out to me was the friendliness of the vendors – every interaction was warm and pleasant, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s the kind of place where you can spend hours exploring, tasting, and soaking up the local culture. Truly a must-visit!
Barak W — Google review
A large and very impressive place, with beautiful interior architecture. The main hall is stunning and worth the visit. However, the climb to the top is not particularly special. Once you reach the upper level, you can pay extra to go a bit higher, but it’s unnecessary and not worth the money. The stairs are narrow, making it extremely difficult to pass when people are coming in the opposite direction — the same problem on the way down. You can also see the bell up close, but be aware that the sound is deafening.
Yoav A — Google review
Freiburg Cathedral is absolutely beautiful, full of incredible details everywhere you look. The architecture is stunning. Every corner of the cathedral shows amazing craftsmanship. It’s truly a must-see! ✨
Jessica — Google review
It's free to visit no entry fee needed. Loved the tinted glasswork and the atmosphere. Very peaceful as other churches around. What catches the eye is the architecture. Worth a visit.
Siddhartha A — Google review
Cathedral’s history started being Romanesque church around 1200, transitioned to Gothic structure in 1250s (inspired by nearby Strasbourg cathedral) with West Tower being completed in 1330. While the city was heavily bombed in WW2, cathedral survived with minor damage (likely due to being notable landmark for Allied Bombers).
Mike Z — Google review
Beautiful red colored cathedral located on the edge of the Black Forest. It shines even in cloudy weather.

Nice cathedral, beautiful Gothic architecture. It's obviously a very touristy place, but I think it's worth a visit. I've been there on a weekday but it was still crowded. It's obviously one of the most interesting places to visit in Freiburg.

Visitors can explore beautifully designed gardens, including a serene Japanese garden and an enchanting rose garden. The park is not just about relaxation; it's also brimming with activities for all ages!
Even though it’s an artificial lake, it’s very beautiful and tranquil! The surroundings and the environment are all very nice. It was a mice summer day, there were a few people swimming in the lake, as well as ducks, fish and turtles. It is indeed a very busy lake😀. The view from the tower is wonderful. We walked around the lake and had a very nice evening.

A nice place for a picnic and swimming. It's also a good place taking a stroll or even running. The scenery is also good.
M. S — Google review
It’s a massive park around a Great Lake of Flückiger See, the lake is very clean, people enjoy sun bathing and relaxing while some other enjoy swimming, or even other water sports. It’s filled with sport activities around the park, you can find a restaurant, and toilets around this park. Ducks, geese, turtles and fishes are clearly visible. Benches all around so you can rest and enjoy the view. It’s easily accessible by public transportation.
MAnA M — Google review
Central Park? Nice try… but have you been to Seepark? Right next to the city center, yet it feels like another world. Sunsets over the lake, chilled beer in hand, friends on the grass, ducks doing their thing, pure Freiburg magic. Seepark isn’t just a park, it’s a lifestyle. Come once, stay for hours. Come twice, fall in love.
M. A — Google review
great place to chill and enjoy summer. it's like a paradise, where you will experience peace and joy with family and friends..here you can swim, have picnic, grill, dine in the resto, enjoy the view, play with ducks and tortoises, dive for aome people, sun bathing even naked, or even just read a book by the bench or by the green grasses...so many possibilities to enjoy here...best thing is that it's free..
Loona_t — Google review
I love this park. It's a great space to run around and/or do a workout at the outdoor gym and/or have a swim in the lake. There are also sports facilities like a 400m track, a soccer field and swimming baths adjacent to/within the park. There is also a rolling hills section when you can take your trail/mountain bike on. If it's your rest day, there are great spaces to just sit or lay and people-watch or bird-watch from the grassy lawns or the numerous towers. Groups of people come here to toss a ball around or play spikes all. Couples just doing romantic stuff like picnicking and watching the sunset are also common. There is a nice boardwalk that arcs over the lake which is also a great sundowner observation spot. You can lock a padlock on the balustrade for goodluck for your relationship haha. Sometimes you may also see some people rope swing from the boardwalk into the water. Pay close attention to the water life. You will find fish, birds and TURTLES. If you're hungry after your visit, there are shops a couple hundred meters from the park which are easy and quick to get to.
Michal H — Google review
Nice adventure and mini golf, nice playground, nice place for kayaking , boating and fishing, nice parking. Will cost you 6euro for 3hrs up

Historical Merchants' Hall is a distinctive 14th-century landmark in Freiburg, Germany. This crimson Renaissance building features grand halls, a courtyard for open-air events, beautiful bay windows, glazed patterned tiles, and crow-stepped gables. It is complemented by the nearby Minster and medieval gates like the red sandstone Schwabentor and the Gothic-roofed Martinstor, adding to the city's historic character.
This building is situated in the historic old town, adjacent to the cathedral. Erected circa the 1400s (cmiiw), it remains remarkably well-preserved to this day. Our visit to this edifice was occasioned by a conference. The interior is splendid, featuring bright illumination and retaining an exquisite elegance with its antique charm.
Akbar A — Google review
This striking historic building captures attention with its vibrant red façade, intricate gold detailing, and elegant bay windows. The steep, tiled roof and ornate statues add to its grandeur, while the arched entrances create a sense of openness and welcome. The overall design beautifully blends Gothic and Renaissance elements, offering a strong sense of character and historical richness. Easily the most visually striking building in the Münsterplatz.
Clifton P — Google review
Part of Freiburg’s medieval past, red Gothic building with elaborate facade and ornate details is contrasting with strict Cathedral located just across the street.

An old and imposing building, very nicely restored. It attracts attention with its red-brick colored facade decorated with statues. You cannot fail to notice it, because it is located right next to the cathedral.

The Historisches Kaufhaus (Historic Merchants’ Hall) is a Renaissance-era building on Freiburg’s Münsterplatz. Completed in 1530, it served as the city’s administrative and commercial hub, housing customs offices, trade rooms, and storage for goods. The building’s striking deep red façade and richly decorated oriel windows reflect the wealth and civic pride of Freiburg during the height of its trade with the Upper Rhine and Alpine regions. The façade is adorned with coats of arms, decorative sculpture, and four statues of Habsburg emperors—Maximilian I, Charles V, Ferdinand I, and Rudolph II—added in the late 16th century, emphasizing the city's loyalty to the empire.

Located in a Neo-Baroque building constructed in 1902, the Museum für Neue Kunst is a modern art gallery showcasing works by renowned artists such as Otto Dix and August Macke. Situated just three minutes south of the Augustinermuseum, this museum offers a collection of 20th-century expressionist and abstract art. Visitors can explore interactive installations related to sound and music, including crafted instruments and acoustic installations.
Really interesting museum. A lot of important conceptual projects connected with the world of sound and its appearance. Almost all installations are interactive, you can take bow and play on different crafted instruments or just strings in the room. The big gong impressed as well other acoustic installations. Recommend this museum.

Great museum to visit while you're Freiburg. Temporary exhibitions of national standing, in my case by Marta Kuhn Weber.

I would not waste my money going here - at least not now. There is almost nothing to see. The entire second floor is closed off, and about half of the paintings on the first floor have been removed for some reason. A terrible ripoff. But the cafe inside the museum is good?

Colombischlössle is a historical villa that houses the Archaologisches Museum, offering a fascinating journey through time from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. The museum showcases South Baden's oldest art works and medieval artifacts, including ancient female statuettes, treasures from Celtic royal tombs, and evidence of Roman achievements. The neo-Gothic villa itself is a sight to behold, with a grand marble entrance and cast-iron staircase.
The first thing you see is the beautiful exterior made of red sandstone atop the small hill in the middle of the surrounding garden. The museum itself has some really interesting artefacts from prehistoric times till late roman times. It is not particularly large but that makes it all the easier to visit. The rooms are well organized in order, and each one has available material botu in German and in English. Because of some special installations oriented to children, it also has some interactive exhibits which can be fun for adults as well!
Marius D — Google review
Quite a small museum We entered for free with the welcome card. I liked how the objects were presented. There is a good content for children. And interactive stations. P.S. Maybe you should lock the rooms which are not meant to be visited by the public or put a paper on the door saying „private“ or have a better sign on the wall how to get to the toilet (in the basement). When I was searching the toilet, I opened about 4 rooms which I was not supposed to (not part of the museum).
Aleksandra — Google review
Small and nice. We came with our teen children and spent about 2 hrs. In many of the rooms there are summaries in English and Spanish. There are a couple of interactive activities. The best is to wear a Roman military costume… those guys we athletes! 100% recommended if you want to know more about the ancient history of the region.

Well displayed small exhibit. Detailed labelling in German, but audio avaiable in English. Easily accessible from altstadt or train station.

We visited the exhibition on a weekday. I'm not really that interested in the kinds of things they present but I must say I was impressed. I really enjoyed learning stuff about all kinds of eras. Really interesting even if you're not that much into all that. There was also a live concert just outside where they played These long bavarian horns. Really fit the atmosohere. I dont know if we were just lucky or if they play more often. Can absolutely recommend for any touristes or visitors :)

The Schlossbergbahn is a funicular railway in Freiburg that takes visitors up the Schlossberg mountain, offering stunning views of the Black Forest, Rhine River, and the city of Freiburg. The short ride to the top takes less than 3 minutes, where travelers can then explore various hiking trails or visit the Schlossbergturm observation tower with its 153-step climb.
Nice place to go to feel the experience, the prices are very reasonable and it's always available ,we went a group of 6 in a weekend and we had nokproblems to buy tickets and the waiting time.was about 5 min.
Mili M — Google review
Your not taking this Bahn to fasten what else would be a day hike. The walk up is pretty easy and if you happen to need to wait for the next ride to get down, walking was probably faster. Instead your taking this Bahn because of the experience. Unfortunately when we were there, the restaurant on top was closed. Good views from there though. A return ticket was six euros, I would advise to take a one way and walk down.
Michel B — Google review
You can pay for one way or round trip. The ride takes 3 minutes. We did one way. Then you can either walk down (10-15 min) or take the elevator. It takes you up to the restaurant Dattler where you can get some black forest cake and enjoy the view of the city. Would recommend!
R C — Google review
There is one restaurant, next to top station, but it was closed. You can see the city from above view, if you walk to side approximately 600 meters, but it isn’t worth the cabin fee.

An experience that anyone shall take Despite the relevant long time to get on board, in the rush hour, the experience pays back. Especially the castle beauty.

Nice experience if you don't want to hike or you have a kid just like me The train will not take you to the highest spot Accepting cash and cards - there is price for one way and for two way For the two way it was 6 for adults And for i guess less than 6 for free You have to wear mask
Maryam A — Google review
A cute experience. This train helps us cross first half of the hill so we can save some energy to climb the next half and the tower on top. The experience of climbing the tower is aust have if you are in the area. Especially on a windy day, you will feel the tower move as you climb up, and finally you'll have a lovely view of the city and surrounding black forest region.

Haus zum Walfisch is a striking red Gothic-style mansion with a rich history dating back to the 16th century. Originally commissioned by Jakob Villinger von Schonenberg, the Grand Treasurer to the Holy Roman Emperor, it has housed notable figures such as Dutch humanist Erasmus and Emperor Ferdinand. The building gained international fame as the setting for Dario Argento's film "Suspiria.
Dario Argento's Suspiria is one of my all time favorite films. When I learned I was getting the opportunity to visit Germany, I wanted to see Haus zum Walfisch because it served as the inspiration for the Tanz Academy in Suspiria. One day, by happenstance, we ended up only a 3 minute walk away and I had the chance to visit. It was so magical and beautiful. You are truly lucky if you get to see and touch this beautiful building.

Nestled in a serene forest, Keidel Mineral-Thermalbad Freiburg is a spa and wellness center offering a rejuvenating experience. The facility boasts remarkable indoor and outdoor thermal pools where visitors can unwind and de-stress. With separate areas for adults and families, it's an ideal option for relaxation. The illuminated pool creates a magical ambiance, especially in the evening.
A Must-Visit Every Year! We have been visiting Keidel Mineral-Thermalbad Freiburg every year during our trips to the Baselworld trade show, and it has become a highlight of our stay in the area. This thermal bath is simply one of the best in Germany — clean, well-maintained, and beautifully located in a peaceful natural setting. The mineral-rich thermal waters are incredibly soothing, and after each visit, we leave feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Whether you’re enjoying the indoor or outdoor pools, the sauna area, or just unwinding in the warm waters, the entire experience is top-notch. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing escape — we always look forward to returning!

All together a wonderful visit for both hot springs and sauna. Have been there a lot since my youth and can fully recommend. Last time we did go, there was a misunderstanding where we booked a massage online, were unsure of the time we booked it, but I thought it was 14h30/2:30 PM. When we arrived in the morning, we wanted to make sure and therefore asked at the front desk if the appointment was at that time. The staff confidently confirmed that it was indeed at the time I stated. I got to the appointment and was told I was half an hour to late. Fortunately, they made me another appointment an hour later. It would be really nice if you could get an E-Mail and or printable document with the appointment confirmation on it when ordering online, since currently, there seems to be no confirmation at all :/ Definitely something to improve in my opinion. But as already mentioned, otherwise a wonderful experience.

Love this place, thermal swimming pools, both indoors and outside. An amazing sauna complex with different temperatures 75 /85/90&95 degrees. Lots of space and very well maintained, a nice place to experience the German approach to saunas. You need a long towel so you can avoid placing feet on the benches and flip-flops to get around. All the staff are super friendly, 31 Euro for Sauna & swimming.

Had half a day to kill in Freiburg and we found this thermal spa. I reached at around 6 and left at 8:30 pm. Great place to relax and unwind. It was busy but not too packed. Lots of pools, and changing areas. Took a nice little nap in the garden surrounded by trees. I liked it so much that I skipped thermal spas in Budapest fearing they wouldn’t match up with this place.
Ayush J — Google review
Omg, after having lived here 7 years I dream of a relaxing evening spent here with my family! Let the warm waters soothe your soul… enjoy the delicious cafeteria for lunch, a snack, whatever… lay on their lounge chairs.., when I go alone or with adult friends I love the sauna area (get used to German mixed gender nakedness though!). Worth it, though! Very relaxing and lovely atmosphere!
Tanya D — Google review
Great place . Went on a busy sunday but did not find over crowded. Thermal pools are good. Sauna area nudist area. For a non german can be off putting . But found people and staff friendly . All shapes and sizes nude so give it a go. Plenty of different saunas and pools

It was my first time at thermal spa. I was amazed how well organized the place is. We've spend 1.5 hours in sauna area which has a lot of options to relax and enjoy. For sure I will come back!
Liubov V — Google review
Swimming pools are nice, and outdoor pool is perfect! It has different temperature ranging from 34 C to 40 C, ideal for winter time. The sauna area, however, requires you to be only naked. It is forbidden to have sauna in bikini, which was weird because no information on this at the entrance. Also, it is not allowed to take pictures inside, who knows why .. overall, the spa is new and clean, worth visiting

Great experience! An ideal place to spend an afternoon with the family. There is food available on site and games for the kids. Freiburg Living History offers a captivating glimpse into the rich past of this charming city, which dates back to the early Middle Ages. Founded in 1120 by the Dukes of Zahringen, Freiburg was established as a free-market town, aptly reflected in its name meaning "free fortified town." Nestled at the crossroads of two vital trade routes and blessed with nearby silver mines from the Black Forest, it quickly flourished into a prosperous settlement.

The actress, dressed in 16th century clothing, played her role in an absolutely fascinating way. The tour begins at Martinstor and moves through the streets and alleys of Freiburg. Paired with historical details, the “wandering whore” involves the group. A lot of laughter, the absolutely convincing charisma and the initiation into the magic of women and witches - THAT is something you have to experience. Top! And absolutely recommended. It's just OK. You have to go all the way out towards Litternweiler just to fight with a thousand other people for a tiny corner of the pool and a nugget of shade under a tree. The city needs more swimming facilities open in the summer months, especially that are centrally located. I would be in favor of paying more tax money just to have Faulerbad and Westbad open again. Instead, here we are. Since facilities are so limited, you're basically stuck between here and Lorettobad, which is too small and even more crowded than here, or with St Georgen, which has the same problms but is far away from everyone except those way down in the South. Those who live in a central or northern location have zero convenient options.

This charming facility features a variety of pools catering to all ages, from infants to older children, ensuring everyone has a splash-tastic time. While there’s just one thrilling water slide, it promises fun for both kids and adults alike!
If you need a nice place to relax beside the pool, with happy children playing in the water, this is the perfect spot. There are pools for babies, small and big children. Only one water slide but it's a fun one, that even grown ups can enjoy. For swimmers there are 4-5 swim lanes separated from the playing area. Quiet and nice in the morning and mid day, but more busy in the afternoon hours. The food is horrible, so bring your own, but I won't take away a star because of that, as this was just the gettaway we needed to enjoy the sun and water. Only 10 Euro for a family of 4 and very cheap sunbeds too adds to the satisfaction. Lastly, you can also play with a frisbee or ball (bring your own) , play some table tennis or a game of volleyball.

The length of pool is okay but very poor management and too chaotic! Being in 25 metres pool, giving you feeling of jumping in the German's traffic. People are rude, selfish, disorganised and pushy, even swimming in slowest lane then some bitter people would just pushing and causing injuries to others for no reason! I heard that they have a rule setup for the speed of each lane but no one really cares and the staff didn't do anything besides chitchat all day long, not really performing on anything. Not sure if they just there to clean the pool after the day? Plus everyday even in evening at least 2 lanes would be blocked for whatever class but not announcing and even you ask the staff before entering, they don't tell you anything. But dare to charge full price for unable to provide full facilities, this called "ripping off or scam" Shower not really working, roughly a half broken and never fixed. Sense of Chlorine is very too strong and causing skin irritation, terrible! In so many countries I have visited, they already provide salt pool.
Daisy S — Google review

Good swimming pool, if a little simple. Don't get me wrong - they're good facilities, just nothing to write home about. Good for kids in that there are more pools to accommodate them than anyone else - varying temperatures and depths, but only a tiny slide for toddlers.

Faulerbad is a popular swimming pool with over 20 years of history, known for its great facilities and friendly staff. The layout of the lanes is well-organized, and the changing rooms and showers are in good condition. The entrance area has been recently redesigned, adding to the overall appeal of the place. Unlike other pools, Faulerbad offers a more relaxed environment for children, with a slightly cold baby pool due to drafts rather than water temperature.
This is an extremely nice swimming pool (25m length) with clean facilities and pleasant atmosphere inside. It gets very busy, so I would advise to go early in the morning or in the evening if you like to swim quietly.

Not as crazy as westbad and the others for children. Baby pool is a little cold I think because of a draft, not water temperature. We stay in the slightly larger pool for non swimmers that is nice for kids aged 2.5 and up I'd say. Small slide in that. Cafe upstairs, lots of seating on non-swimming side and has toy area. Perfect for after swimming and changing. Facilities are nice, if a bit small. Westbad definitely has more to offer but there are always too many rowdy kids in their pool and their cafe stinks.

Hallenbad Hochdorf is a charming little swimming facility that offers a cozy atmosphere for visitors. While it can get busy during peak times, the single pool ensures that the number of guests remains manageable. The warm water makes for an inviting swim experience, and families appreciate the attentive swimming coaches who create a comfortable environment for children. Visitors have noted the friendly staff, which adds to the welcoming vibe of this local gem. Even if you arrive just after closing time, you might find them accommodating!

(Translated by Google) Nice little bathroom. It gets crowded quickly when there's a lot going on, but on the other hand there's only one pool so there aren't too many visitors. (Original) Nettes kleines Bad. Ist schnell überfüllt, wenn viel los ist, andererseits gibt es nur ein Becken, sodass nicht zu viele Besucher da sind.

Swimming pool

The Städt. Hallenbad Lehen is a small yet delightful urban indoor pool with pleasantly warm water and air, making it an excellent choice for families with children. On Saturdays from 11 o'clock, kids can enjoy a variety of fun activities, including swimming mats and other water toys. Notably, this pool is never overcrowded, giving visitors the sensation of having their own private oasis. Overall, it offers a fantastic experience for those seeking relaxation and recreation in a cozy setting.
(Translated by Google) Not as much to offer as larger bathrooms, but very nice. There is a small children's slide. On Sundays there are swimming courses from a private provider. However, very expensive compared to clubs.

A bit underwhelming. My kid loves water. But there is only one small slide, and a few floatation devices. It gets boring after an hour.

(Translated by Google) We went to the children's afternoon on Saturday afternoon. Lots of play equipment and mats are put in the water for the children. There is only one pool and it is very clear. The children had fun, the bathroom was pleasantly warm and clean. Unfortunately the playing time is only 2 hours from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., then you have to be out of the bathroom again. Admission is regular, but you can stay all day in another Freiburg pool. This isn't solved very well. It should be 3 hours so that you can enjoy your stay without time pressure. (Original) Wir waren Samstag Nachmittag beim Kindernachmittag.

(Translated by Google) We registered for baby swimming there through the Weiß swimming school. We are satisfied with the instructions from the course instructors. The swimming pool is quite small and is closed on Sundays for courses. This way you can concentrate undisturbed on your little one and enjoy their fun :) (Original) Wir haben uns über die Schwimmschule Weiß dort zum Babyschwimmen angemeldet. (Translated by Google) The indoor pool is very small and we only know it through the swimming course. Going swimming there outside of the course is unattractive for us, as the pool is apparently only for learning, as the water depth is only shallow. There is a children's slide, but no other attractions at the pool or on the lawn. If you want to swim laps in a sporty way, the small pool is less recommended; the nearby Westbad is more recommended.
