What an amazing national treasure and a great place to spend an afternoon with friends or family. Walking through the Fort transports you back in time and gives you an overwhelming feeling of national pride. Not to mention, the film documentary at the end of your visit has a truly special surprise at the ending you don’t expect! Do yourself a favor if you’re in Baltimore and go visit Fort McHenry.

Short but informative video to start the tour. Rangers are very knowledgeable about the fort's history. I arrived in time for the flag changing ceremony, which they allow guests to help participate in. Lovely views of the harbor from the fort or walking trails.

SO MUCH FUN! I went for a school field trip, and it did not disappoint. We walked the whole thing, and I loved the preservation of old rooms. My favorite was the one execution cell. The place has high educational value, but it's also a good exercise and it's very interesting. I would love to go again with my family. It was so pretty.

Our family of four had a great visit. We purchased tickets for the shrine, kids were free. Visitor Center has interactive exhibits and 20 min video thats worth staying until the end. Decent gift shop, no food or cafe to speak of. The grounds, views, restorations, rangers, history, and setting are all amazing.

Had an awesome experience learning about Fort McHenry and the buildup to the battle that inspired the Star Spangled Banner. Started off in the visitor center and watch the film and look at all the information panels. Going outside gives you amazing views of the bay, and exploring the fort is an awesome experience. Each building has information about the fort and it's history. I would absolutely come back and would recommend others do the same.

The NPS Rangers' lack of enthusiasm at this site prevents us from giving it a 5th star. You have to pay extra to walk out to the fort and take a self-guided tour. During our visit, the temperature was extremely high at around 98°F, which may explain the absence of reenactments or ranger-led tours; however, the rangers were still present at the site. The fort's rangers were just standing in the shade, maybe due to the heat. They could have been giving some kind of presentation or talk. We did not get a discount due to the heat, but the experience of being at the historical location was well worth the 4 stars.

One of the nicest fort we have been to. Very clean and well maintained. The staff are excellent and very informative. We got to watch the flag raising which was very interactive as well as informative. Great historical place that was worth the visit. Gift shop was nice as well.

Really loved this museum. Great art from only self taught artists, which really shows and is more genuine. Multiple floors in both buildings (ticketed only $10), plus a sculpture garden and tree house you can walk through, ticket or not. The outside of the building is really cool with mosaics and sculptures mounted around. I would highly recommend going in or the very least, walk around the area. I will be going back for new exhibits and look forward to it. The staff were all very nice and informative, as well as, holding knowledgeable and engaging conversations. Even recommendations for local food, ect. spots based on requested restrictions. Being knowledgeable of the area already, the recommended locations were all local and non touristy establishments which I appreciate and honestly expect nothing less from the locals. The Charm City pride is strong here and I love it.

A resident of Baltimore suggested this extraordinary museum located close to the Inner Harbor. I am so happy that I took her advice. This museum will inspire the artist in you. Beautiful sculptures, paintings, and mobiles that will take your breath away. There are two buildings. 3 floors in the main building and 2 in the other. Take your time to browse, there's a lot to see. Don't forget to stop in the gift shop. It is chock full of everything and very reasonable. You will love it. Your children will love it. Fun for the entire family.

Just one of the best! The creativity of the art here is amazing. Definitely a must see. Note:...there is no cafe on the premises or in the near vicinity unless you trek 6+ blocks to we think there is an area with some quick food options. There is a Rusty Scupper restaurant very close to the museum. On the water. Which is nice, but only if you want a relaxing meal and not a quick bite to eat. Also ... there is no museum parking lot, but there is a private parking lot near the Rusty Scupper restaurant and of course street parking ( which could be a bit challenging.for some).

Great art museum! Fun exhibits with very cool artwork. I really enjoyed the sports section and the building has a fun layout with many cool quotes throughout. I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys art museums and this is one of my friends’ absolute favorite museums in the US.

I absolutely loved the Good Sports exhibit they had during August. I did also miss a floor of the last building the first time I was there and that's where the permanent Matt Sesow collection is. I really liked that you could buy affordable original art. The gift shop is worth stopping by even if you don't want to see the museum. There's a lot of unique things there. If I lived closer I would have the membership. The pictures I added are from the Good Sports exhibit which is no longer there, but I really enjoyed George Sosnak's baseballs.

I'm disappointed in myself, having lived in Baltimore for 4 years and never discovering this place. Thank goodness my wife loves it and wanted to share it with me. What an incredible Museum! Go for the exhibitions, stay for the gift shop. Seriously! You must go here and check out all the exhibitions. Easily worth twice the price.

One of the best museums in the Baltimore/Washington area I always tell people that stay in DC to visit so they can see cool things like this that DC would never have. It's always a treat to visit and see what's new and interesting. Bring kids!

We went for the first time and we choose labor day to go. It actually wasn't that bad. We had no wait to get in. But some of the exhibits had a crowd before you could get to see it decently. We did not do any of the experiences or were we able to see the dolphins though we did try. They were being feed when we were there and we didn't wait long enough to see them. If you have anyone in your group that has mobility issues and needs to use elevators they do have them and they can fit wheelchairs plus a person or two. They are not near where the other entrance to the floor is for those that do not have mobility problems. I say this for those who have parties of mixed capabilities. There is one area that those who cannot do stairs can access and that is the birds area. There is a way for wheelchairs to go through the area but there is 2 platforms that you can't get to. The aquarium was nice and the employees we came across were all friendly. The are some rather large attractions and lots of smaller ones just like any other aquarium or zoo. They have an area with horseshoe crabs and jellyfish that you can touch the animals. We were hoping that there was an area you can feed manta rays of something like it but they did not. We got to see how they clean some of the tanks and some of the divers that we found out that all the divers are volunteers. The guy made a joke saying that they work for free bottled air. Some of the tanks look difficult to clean so I don't envy them. They some frogs and birds and some other animals. I was not expecting to see any other animals but I thought it was cool. There are some really good views of the harbor as well. They have a spot that you can sit and rest while looking at the harbor. All in all we will probably go back and definitely recommend.

It was nice... I have been to aquariums with more variety... this one seems almost local species. A few empty habitats... the Jellyfish invasion is not impressive if you have seen them in other aquariums... some tanks looked like they were sick... dolphin shows are no more but you can sit and watch them... they mostly hung out in the back though, until the helpers came out to feed. That was cool. I agree with the stopping the shows and loved seeing them play. The rainforest was okay too... a couple of birds here an there... mostly just plant life with a cool water fall. Escalator was broke on one floor of the 4 floor exhibit. I think they have an elevator, they were not to informative about it though. We never looked into the Australian terrarium... chose to leave and do other things.

Had a mommy son day and it was just what was needed! Everything was clean and in order, not too many people on a school day so it was nice. Not too many lines, the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. My 8 year old stated it was his best day in forever ❤️ Thanks! I bought the membership and its already paid off but I can see him having us there a LOT!

The design of this aquarium is very unique. I have visited many aquariums across the country. Like the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, the Long Beach Aquarium in CA, and the Mall of America’s Aquarium. We went on a Sunday so it was super busy but getting our tickets online was a smart move. The layout of this aquarium is pretty unique and it can be actually quite confusing. Thankfully we had a friend who has been to this one multiple times and knew his way around. I do like the open design to the main attraction and the escalators to next level. That was very unusual to see. There was one escalator that was out of service but they had the service door for the stair propped open and someone standing there to help guide. Also another interesting thing was the rotating doors. I have never seen them being used inside of a facility. It was kind of annoying as only one person could go through it at a time. The best thing was all the aquatic creatures that they have. Those were a joy to watch and we got to talk to a knowledgeable guide that was showing off a turtle skull. She was fun to talk with and knew her stuff about the animals in the aquarium. I would go back for sure.

The aquarium closes fairly early, so I didnt have quite enough time to get through the entire place. It was beautiful. It was well laid out. The dolphin training was a surprise to see, but it was so cool to see.

Members Hallowmarine Event was great! I brought my sister and we had Tshirts with Halloween themes. The event started promptly at 6pm. We watched several sharks, stingrays and fish. The crowd moved at a leisurely pace. My sister touched the horseshoe crabs and jellyfish. We had the 4D shark experience in the theater with several surprises from the special effects. We viewed the Harbor wetlands from the bridge - impressive work. I read about project in the members newsletter. We enjoyed seeing so many children dressed in costumes. At the Pier 4 Cafe the dance party was in full swing! Kids danced to some of my favorite songs, Thriller and Monster Mash. Food was tasty. Another surprise included scuba divers in the Coral Reef. We have pictures and gestured with our hands about the turtle. All in all, a wonderful evening. My favorites are the turtles, seahorses and caiman. The scavenger hunt card added a little competition to find the specific animals.

Went on my daughter's field trip with her and had a blast. I do wish they had given us maps because we ended up missing parts. Still very fun. Lots of amazing animals and the staff is wonderful.

A must-see in Baltimore! The Baltimore Museum of Art offers an impressive and thoughtfully curated collection. The Cone Collection is especially stunning — a true gem with extensive works by Matisse, Picasso, and Van Gogh. I also enjoyed seeing pieces by Georgia O’Keeffe, Monet, Klimt, Gauguin, Botticelli, Raphael, and Sir Joshua Reynolds. The galleries are spacious, peaceful, and well-lit, allowing you to take your time and really experience the art. The museum store is well-stocked with unique, themed gifts and books — perfect for thoughtful souvenirs. A top-notch experience, and free admission is a bonus!

The BMA has an attractive collection of paintings, statues and other beautiful pieces from around the globe. I really enjoyed seeing pieces by Monet, Degas, Rembrandt and Botticelli to name a few. Entry is free except for certain exhibitions and open until late on Thursday evening.

It's a nice museum, especially for a free one. Not very big, easy to cover in an afternoon. Lovely variety of exhibits.

The BMA is a Baltimore and mid-Atlantic treasure! This museum- with its thoughtful, perceptive, and equitable representation healed all the art school BS I experienced in the late 90s. Free and open to the public, every exhibit that I have seen there has been moving, potent, and restorative. I will return again and again - and will be purchasing a membership. Can't celebrate the creative and community work they do at the BMA enough! Check it out!

A good art museum. They have a few unassuming Picassos, Van Goughs, and Matisses. The galleries well organized and kept clean and appealing. I also liked the art galleries curated to show art works from different continents.

To pass some time for an event I was attending in the BMA, I sat in their East Lobby. I then noticed certain things (within that area) that caught my attention. Next to me on the bench was a bead-encrusted figurine. On parts of the ceiling, I saw brood X cicadas (they were encased in something). Hanging from the ceiling was a figure within a cocoon and it was in a multi-tiered chandelier. I later discovered it is part of an exhibit by artist Raúl de Nieves. I didn't catch everything in the lobby, so you'll have to check it out for yourself. The overall display is pretty neat and is there until December 2026.

This is a truly wonderful museum. A true gem of Baltimore. The collection is very large and varied art and artifacts from all parts of the world and including European and American pieces and eastern art as well. The displays are very professional and accessible and the staff always very friendly. And, it’s FREE! I have found that parking in the general area is easy to find and not expensive. If you find yourself in Baltimore make time to visit this beautiful museum.

One of the best museums I've ever been to. It starts from the very entrance: they have that beautiful idea with the cards to make your own tour around the museum. Moreover, wherever you go, you see a lot of materials next to the exhibits which give you plenty of ideas and information for a deeper insight. I loved it! And of course, their collection is just overwhelming! There are so many exhibits and all of them are well displayed in intelligently organized spaces. It's the only museum I didn't go to its cafe. There was no time for it. I wanted to squeeze as much as I could from every minute of my being there. Highly recommended to all art-lovers!

It's a gorgeous museum with great art pieces. They have a cool medieval like staircase too. My boyfriend and I got through the museum within abt 2-3 hours, but that's because we skimmed through mostly and stopped to look at and read about the pieces we found most captivating. If you're the type to stop and look at every piece, plan for more time. 😉 I also saw a woman with a wheelchair making her way around the museum so I assume it's atleast somewhat accessible. And it's all free!

The Walters Art Museum is an exceptional center for those who love art, particularly art that spans across thousands of years. I would recommend to start from the upper floor (4th floor) and work one's way down. The fourth floor houses the collection of East Asian items from China, Japan, India, and the Middle East. The collection spans thousands of years of eastern art, and includes manuscripts, ceramics, burial treasures, and many other items. The third floor contains the prized medieval collection which is one of the greatest collections of medieval art in the United States. There are sections that indicate Early Byzantine, Early Medieval, and Gothic eras. There is also an exhibit dedicated to how cats are represented in manuscripts. There is also a representation of a venetian home from the late medieval era, showcasing a merchant's collection that they could accumulate. The third floor also consists of Renaissance and Baroque art. These are mostly from Italy, and have sections for each century of Italian art. The second floor is dedicated to the ancient world as well as armor and collection displays. the ancient section includes art from Ancient Egypt, the Ancient Near East, Ancient Greece, and Ancient Rome. All are detailed and give one an idea of the living and dying rituals of the past. The armor collection is a nice touch, having armor mostly from Germany from the Renaissance that is highly decorative. There is a collector's room that details how a person from the 17th Century would house their collections. There is also a wonder room that showcases how one would collect items in the Early Modern Era. There is also a representation of a Dutch home filled with Dutch art primarily from the 17th Century. The first floor houses the temporary exhibit. This year, the exhibit details the mummification practices of various animals. The museum shop also has a variety of prints, mugs, stickers, books pertaining to their collection, journals, and jewelry that reflects the items in their collection. In terms of accessibility, there are elevators and even wheelchair lifts in spots so that everyone can see their entire collection. There is no fee to get in as of 2025, but you do have to pay around twenty dollars for parking across the street from the entrance. Overall, this is a must see if you are in the Baltimore area, and be sure to donate as they rely on donations to keep the place running for free for all visitors.

The Walters was the first place I visited after checking into my hotel around the corner. It’s a beautiful building with a great collection of art from all over the world. It’s easy to get through on a 2-3 hour visit and open until 8 on Thursday evenings.

What an excellent installation. Absolutely terrific artwork, sculptures, and great rotating exhibits. Highly reccomend for all ages, and good budget option for a great couple of hours in downtown Baltimore.

What a fantastic learning experience for kids and adults. Such great exhibits to expand children's understanding of the world around them and get them learning and having fun at the same time. Worth the trip. My 12 and 8 year old boys enjoyed their time here.

overall best experience - we went to a show with Jalen and Emily and they made our entire day, we got to explore a lot, and ended up sewing monsters with the help of jessie. everyone there went above and beyond when we needed help with things and everyone was extremely knowledgeable when we had questions. this experience has me wanting to buy their seasonal pass for the year

Went as a chaperone for a kindergarten school trip. The kids had a blast. Three floors of areas the kids could explore from the dino exhibit, kinetic energy, and more. There was more than enough for the kids to stay engaged for several hours and parents as well.

This is a nice-sized science museum to explore. There are three full levels of exhibits, as well as a planetarium. There is a cafe, eating area, and gift shop. You could easily spend most of the day here. And it is in a lovely, scenic area of kf the inner harbour.

I am very disappointed with science center. Me and my daughter which is homeschooled bought tickets to event but got the days mixed up. Now on any given day the museum is pretty much empty.. the homeschool events we have attend ended …which they claim to sell out fast had about 3 other homeschool in them. For a museum that pretty much need good reviews and more attendance seems to me would be a bit more accommodating and understanding. But no they weren’t. No exchanges offered… forget a refund which I was no asking for. So sorry have a good day is pretty much what they told us. Would not recommend paying to come here… so disappointing.

Parking was a little tricky but we found public parking down the road by the restaurant near the water. It was a few minutes walking distance. I think we picked a day where many schools scheduled a field trip at the end of the school year. It was a zoo with kids running around all over the place with not enough adult chaperones. We made the best of it.

The Maryland Science Center is Way Cool ! Dinosaur Lovers expect the best in excitement. Many fine details including the electric exhibits what an hair raising opportunity. Fun for everyone just a very exciting place.

A small but really nice zoo. The old (no longer used) exhibits up front are a cool piece of history. Some areas need updating but the newer exhibits are clearly well thought out & spacious. The penguin area was especially nice. If only it had been a bit cooler for our visit! (See our prairie dog photo for a good example of the heat.)

We love this Zoo! I’ve been going since I was a child and now sharing the zoo with my kids brings back so many memories. I love the “walk through the zoo’s past” to see the small cages they once were held to compare to the large habitats that have been created. Free parking is a plus. Food is a bit expensive but they offer gluten free options which was a nice surprise. Looking forward to another trip in November, they offer free field trips to homeschoolers which we are finally taking advantage of. Great way to spend the day outdoors learning about the animals and observing them.

To begin with, there is a long walk from the gate to see the animals. There seemed to be a lot of construction and renovation happening to the exhibits. Due to this, there seemed to be quite a few animals off exhibit. Most habitats only had 1 or 2 animals in them. The zoo was clean and fun, just not sure it's worth visiting again.

I legitimately love this zoo. I have only come here a few times in my life and the previous time I was here was years ago but honestly I had a lot of fun this time around. They have so many interesting animals, historical architecture, a pretty nice train ride and even some really well themed sections. It’s very clear they’re going out of their way to modernize and do what’s best for these animals. I did see One elephant that looked like he wasn’t doing so well but The zoo is probably still doing what they can to take care of the poor creature. I wholeheartedly recommend checking out this zoo even if the area around the park doesn’t look particularly the safest. Then again that’s the case with a lot of good zoos. I will definitely come again.

We come to this zoo most years and always enjoy ourselves. This year had some extra exhibits closed for maintenance and new ones in the works but we still have a good time anyways. The pending we're very active this year, and we saw the baby giraffe which was nice too. The polar bears have bears have been missing for a few years so that is the most disappointing, but otherwise worth a trip.

The only issue is they need more animals, other than that this is the cleanest zoo I have ever been too ! The food was fresh and delicious, the rides and outside activities were up and active, face painting, toy riding, penguin shows , all kinds of great stuff that not only kids would enjoy but so would adults. I had a bawl and would be back for sure. Also you can purchase your tickets in person & use them for your next visit 😉

My family had a wonderful time at the zoo! We got to see some wonderful animals that aren't in zoos around our area. Admission was a bit pricey but snacks and drinks weren't too badly priced. We did stop at Oasis Food and Drink by the giraffes and elephants for snacks and drinks. They were out of a lot of stuff or things weren't working. The guy that was running the register was doing everything while a guy stood to the back and only messed with putting pretzels in the cooker. Overall a wonderful day seeing animals and learning about them!

We had a great experience. My son loved all the trains they have there. Super well maintained. Super clean and super organized. Staff was amazing. We went on the 30 min train ride and it was amazing. There is a café with delicious options and a gift store with lots of good a good stuff with great prices. The museum has free parking for the visitors . We had a great time there.

I had a great experience, first time I've been to the museum. Such a great atmosphere. Youre encouraged to wander and learn. Many exhibits are interactive in some way. The staff was amazing and happy to share their passion. I highly reccomend you visit. I consider the ticket to be a bargain for as much fun as I had!

My son is an adult with autism. He loves trains. He'd been excited for a month for our trip. He was is heaven seeing all of the incredible trains. All the employees were very kind and very informative. This is an incredible place to go. Highly recommend it

This museum has an amazing array of trains. They were displayed well in an organized logical fashion in the beautiful round house. There was a very interesting variety of trains outside in the yard and in the maintenance building. The explanations were concise and comprehensive. It was fun to be able to go into some of the trains. The model train sets, history of the underground, and play areas for kids make this an amazing display of the history of trains. I very highly recommend this museum for anyone, train buff or not.

This museum was outstanding. We loved seeing all the trains but the highlight was the tour of their repair facility. Amazing detail, inside and outside, and seeing the tooling was incredible. Would love to go back and spend more time.

We visited the museum on sunday 10/26. Beautifully maintained museum! The staff (mother and son :-) were knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. We truly enjoyed our visit and learned so much—thank you!

What tremendous fun! I particularly appreciated the Underground Railroad exhibit. It was beautifully done. Riding the train was a lovely little exercise in history, and getting to explore the space was fantastic. 10/10!

Many things to read and learn. Free audio tour adds really nice insight into what you're seeing. Staff is helpful and will answer questions about the exhibit. I recommend for adults.

We visited during a community free admission day, and it was a wonderful visit! Even living here in the city, I find the museum somewhat hard to describe -- it's about industry, yes, but I think I would think about it more like a history museum of Baltimore with a specific slant to it. My personal favorite was the exhibit related to printing; if you visit on a weekend they have a working 1930 linotype machine! (The linotype machine was designed here in Baltimore, and revolutionized the printing process.) The volunteers were so kind about answering so many of our inane questions. I also liked the Domino Sugar sign remnant, which is positioned right in contrast to the current signage in the window, which is fun. The museum complex itself is very cool, too; it's a former oyster cannery but it's got beautiful views right on the waterfront.

Came here with my friends on a middle school 8th grade end of year trip a few weeks ago. It was really cool to see how the machines shaped Baltimore and learn some interesting things. The history part me and the boys thought was super boring so we walked off as the teacher was talking to the group and did our own thing. We looked at some of the cool exhibits and machines they have and we even saw a bakery. We told our female teacher Mrs smith to get in the kitchen where she belongs and bake us some bread. Back in those days that’s where a women belonged is in the kitchen while us men put hair on our chest and busted our ass by a hot furnace is some steel mill or something like that. She wasn’t too happy we disrespected her like that but we didn’t care. Me and the boys Connor, nick, Ryan and Alex went off exploring and got lost in the museum. Some staff members helped us find our way around and were super friendly, knowledgeable and nice. They explained some of the exhibits and equipment in a much less boring way than our teachers did. We were so happy to actually have fun learning and get the teachers off our asses for a good hour or so. Then me and the boys went to the bathroom and splashed each other with water on the crotch and made it look like we peed ourselves. The teachers were gutted by our behavior but we had fun so YOLO FAM 😂. Would I recommend this place ? Absolutely it’s amazing and a lot to learn. If u come as a family set aside a good 4 hours because their is a lot to see and learn here.

I had a really good time visiting the BMI I was there for the Black Azz flee and the Juneteenth event. It was a cool oasis. I will be back to enjoy this place again. I really like the neon lights . I want one of those totes.

Great information awesome staff. So will be back to check out other tours.

It's kind of too early to give feedback,; I'm still flying high. I loved the layout of the museum and the basic explanations on all books the exhibits. My son and I are going back, but this time without his classmates.

I had a lovely visit. If you are in BMore you should definitely visit the museum. I really enjoyed the plantarium. I learned about Cere the dwarf plant I never knew about.

This is a great children's museum. The design and safety of this place are outstanding. It has so many activities for children of all ages. The giant slide in the middle of the building is one of the best features here. The Egyptian area was good for children and adults alike. My only complaint is that the entry fee of 25 dollars is not worth for the accompanying adults and feels a bit excessive when both parents visit with a single child. They should consider at least halving the adult entry fee.

We came here with my 3 year old, she had a blast! We spent most of the day there (we left to get lunch as there isn't a cafe on site) She was a little small for the large slide which was a shame. She loved the art corner and the water play section. All toilet facility were clean. It is a bit on the expensive side but it was nice to do something just for her as we'd drag her around sightseeing! However if you consider we spent the whole day there and didn't want to leave it was worth it. Overall a nice day out for young kids.

Excellent place for kids. My 6 and 8 year old boys happily spent over 5 hours here and could've easily stayed longer!!! Not to miss if you're in Baltimore with children. Parking in convenient, with a garage connected to the museum building ; and they give you a half price discount ($15) with a validated ticket.

Port Discovery is an absolute gem! My kids were engaged and entertained for hours. The interactive exhibits are thoughtfully designed, sparking creativity and learning through play. From climbing the incredible three-story SkyClimber to exploring the wonders of water play, there was something for every age and interest. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the museum was clean and well-maintained. It's the perfect place for a family outing, fostering curiosity and making memories. We can't wait to visit again!

We went here for a meet and greet Gabby event for my youngest birthday surprise. Wish they had it some better understanding accommodations and staff. The entire downtown was blocked off for some bicycle event. With that we got there super early and our original plans had to changed because of the blocked area downtown. So with a lot of people not there for there session, they could've let us go on standby or just go in earlier since noone was there. (we had a reservation it was just for later) Instead of anyone being understanding, helpful or like yes sure go to standby (if we wanted to standby we would have to cancel our reserve bands for standby which made NO sense, since noone was there because of the closures.) Like Imma need peoole to use some common sense ro easily say ok you can go to standby and if not everyone come in then u can go, waat fix. Then the meet and greet was 1 picture for 10 seconds and thats it. Then on top of all that the power went out and all day they were running on a generator with no air conditioner. I ended up with a migraine but an ok 5 yr old who seemed to have fun. I did like that you can bring food and eat in the cafeteria area and the lockers are free to rent! They are also installing a new play area so maybe we will go back in a year. I def cant do that again during that bicycle event that closed down all of downtown.

This is a great place to bring kids to enjoy hands-on exhibits through various types of play. There are three full levels of rooms to explore, as well as a large play area in the middle. There may not be as much for older kids (11+), but it will depend on their interests. There is a cafeteria, but you can only purchase snacks from vending machines. It is best to bring your own food, or you can leave and buy something nearby and return - your admission bracelet allows you to come and go for the entire day. Overall, a clean and fun place where you could easily spend half a day or more. There is parking nearby.

My kids absolutely love this place! We usually go early, which I would recommend. There’s so much for them to do, they could stay busy the entire day. The art station is really cool because you can do it with them. Overall, we have always had a very good experience here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My kids would love to go here every single weekend if they could!

The park here is very fun, relaxing. I come here often with my dog, and sometimes bring my nephew. He likes running around at the place, and its just a very relaxing environement to come and unwind at! Its worth checking out.

Beautiful park within the chaos of Downtown. Pet friendly. Good air. Park feels like it's actually on the hill. The view is fantastic, I've attached photos from the top of the park. The only downside is the washroom which wasn't available there. Recommended!

It’s a fascinating look into a period of time in Edgar Allen Poe’s life. You get to see how he lived & where he wrote. It gives you a history of his family & his work. It’s very well done & we very much enjoyed every aspect of it.

Small, but very interesting house museum. Lots of great information about Poe and his time in Baltimore. Great peek into 1830's home life of lower middle class. Can't wait to see how museum expands. The reservation system works very well

This is a small but fun part of Poe history. We actually made a day trip into Baltimore to see it (We’re from the Midwest, visiting D.C.). We almost didn’t because of the reviews about the neighborhood, we’d never been to Baltimore before, but it was fine. Maybe it was worse years ago, but I felt I needed to at least review the part that almost kept us from coming. Everyone has a different idea of “bad”, however, we had zero issues and I’ve seen really “bad” areas in Atlanta, Indianapolis, and Chicago, this was nothing compared to that. If you practice common sense… you’ll be fine! Anyway, the staff was friendly and you can tell that they care about Edgar Allan Poe! Our visit started with info of the outside and the area. We moved inside and the staff was available for questions… but also had facts to give. It’s not a real tour, as it’s just too small, but the staff seemed knowledgeable. There are actual Poe artifacts there… and he did live there, regardless what some negative reviews claim. It is small, but to go is to love Poe, history, or both. There’s plenty to read and just seeing a period house is cool enough! I think that if you love Poe… you should go! The history of him and the area is cool. It’s not a huge place but pair it with a quick trip to his grave… and it’s definitely something neat for a Poe fan! We were also told that they will be expanding… so in the future it will even be better!

We were there during Poe Fest and really enjoyed the rapper performing Poe poems as well as the dramatic presentation done by a puppet. The costumes worn by someone the attendees were great at well. The costumed parade was fun too. We had a great time.

Step back in time and get a feel for one of Poe’s creative spaces. Learn about his family tree and life from the knowledgeable guides. It’s a tight space so tours are hourly and limited to about 10-15 people. Reserve ahead of time online. We enjoyed listening to the guide and reading about Poe.

As a Poe fan I had to visit and it did not disappoint. Small, yes, but that's really how it was. No better way to get insight into his life then to see where he lived for a time.

If you’re looking for a spot that offers a new perspective on Baltimore, the Top of the World is definitely worth checking out. I recently visited the observation deck on the 27th floor of the Baltimore World Trade Center, and I was absolutely blown away by the views. The panoramic skyline of the city, paired with views of the Inner Harbor and even the Chesapeake Bay on a clear day, is truly a sight to behold. It’s one of those places where you can’t help but feel awestruck by how beautiful the city is from up high. Unfortunately when we visited most of things were under construction or renovations but still we enjoyed the view

Great views with informative displays throughout the 27th floor. Got a cool experience with a police helicopter fly by! Prices were very reasonable and if you have some extra time in your itinerary, I definitely recommend a visit.

It was an amazing experience taking the elevator ride up to the 27th floor of The World Trade Center Observation Deck Baltimore. The views were absolutely breathtaking and very beautiful. So sad that the 27th floor is closing at the end of the month, it's gonna be a loss for The Inner Harbor especially when they get to see the beautiful views from atop.

My first time in Baltimore! This place you need to visit! Breathtaking views! Nice personal. Also good place to hide from the heat! It won’t take much time to spend there but I was just sitting there and enjoying the view. Go on week days, it’s gone be less people there.

The Top of the World Observatory is not all that high up in the sky, which is why we've never paid to go up to the top. Our suggestion to get great views of the Inner Harbor is to grab drinks or dinner at Bygone instead. That establishment is located at the top of the Four Seasons hotel. It's higher in the sky, has amazing atmosphere, and gives a much better view of the Inner Harbor, in our opinion.

Neat observation deck above the harbor, very reasonable admission of 8 dollars. You definitely get your money's worth here. Great views in all directions and they have some displays of the area as well as stuff from 9/11

This was definitely something interesting to do. Purchased tickets from Groupon and paid $8.00 for 2 adults. Definitely would like to go back at night.

Wow what a beautiful library. It is immense and really intriguing. The upper levels are not accessible. There are really old books here and there is a librarian who can get books that you want checked out and you would only allowed to read it in front of him and then return it to him before leaving. The main level, is for anyone wanting to study in this beautiful library. There are some books, but most are just strapped closed because they are so old they are literally falling apart.

I’ve photographed weddings in many beautiful spaces, but the George Peabody Library is truly unforgettable. Towering stacks of books, a warm golden glow, and a stunning spiral staircase make it breathtaking for both ceremonies and receptions. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, and being steps from Mount Vernon means even more gorgeous portrait spots. After capturing over 200 weddings since 2012, I can confidently say this venue blends historic beauty, romance, and atmosphere like no other. A stunning library open to the public! I think I saw it on an Instagram add and have had it on my list since then so I was pleasantly surprised to be visiting Baltimore. I’ve been in other pretty libraries like this where you had a bit more access and would have loved to be able to walk around more than just the bottom to peruse some more. The lighting isn’t quite as advertised either but I’m not complaining. I spent some time at one of the tables just soaking in the beauty. Definitely worth the stop for me.

Very impressive library. It definitely is something to visit if you visit Baltimore. If you like architecture and being taken back in time, this is a place you should visit.

This is a truly iconic and beautiful library, and it is one of my favorite places to study. The lighting is great (calming in a way), and there are many outlets in each study nook. This library is nearly perfect, with the only flaw being the hours. I wish there were weekend hours, and I wish it's open a bit later. As much as I love it here, I frequently use the nearby Enoch Pratt Central Library for that reason.

Absolutely stunning, completely unaware Peabody and Hopkins were buddies. Free admission, 2 hour limit parking found a spot right away. Beautiful park across and not to mention a church with stunning architecture. A serene place outside and inside just beautiful.

Often said to be one of the most beautiful libraries in the country, it's worth a visit. Paid street parking is easy to find nearby. Open during the day every day except Friday and Saturday, walk inside. When you see the check-in area, go left for a little exhibit space and the door to the library. It's very large with stunning design. You can't go up any stairs so stay on the ground floor, keeping quiet out of respect to the people studying.

I found out about this museum when I received a $3 off coupon to attend. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. The museum is very educational and offers a lot of displays of historical black figures. I had a great afternoon and will be back again. There's even a complimentary parking lot on the side of the building.

Visited 04/13/25 While we had fun and enjoyed it, the museum is in bad shape as it appears they lack funding to do upgrades. The inside it is dated and dirty. Some of the exhibits were missing all together or missing parts. They’re using printed papers instead of a plaque to show information on each person. Some of the suits are very oversized, one had green looking hands which did not look realistic at all. Price was $18 dollars when Reginald Lewis museum nearby only charges $12. Lewis blew this one out of the water. However, I did enjoy it and learned quite a bit. It’s cool but don’t expect to be blown away.

Let me tell you, this spot is not to be played with. It’s raw, unfiltered, and makes the National Museum of African American History and Culture in DC look like Disney Land. Caucasians in our current political environment ain’t ready for a place like this. I can only imagine the impact it must’ve had on folks back in its hay day. I hope they keep working on the updated museum project because many of the wax figures displayed have seen better days. However, still a profound impact when you see some of the horrors inflicted on our people. I took a few photos but out of respect won’t post the graphic stuff. A must see exhibit nonetheless.

There is so much history in this building ! The guide was informative and guided the tour .I wasn't expecting to be so emotional but the art really depicts the story and tugs on your soul ! Thank you for painting the whole picture of the dark we went through and the light and fight we have within our melanin

Great experience, it was a little warm but only because they had a power shortage and the electricity was just turned back on. Lots of Black Maryland history and their gift shop has a lot of cute things I wanted. If you have never been, definitely check it out.

This is a wonderful black history museum that centers on the culture in Maryland as well as the plight of black Americans in the South. The second floor of the museum has a section that is dedicated to the achievements of Mr. Lewis as a great black American businessman. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Celebrates the legacy of Reginald Lewis and African American history and culture in Maryland. A must see if you visit Baltimore.

We had such a good time, we're thinking 🤔 about chartering buses to bring Brooklynites to Baltimore for some TITAN grit. We were only able to take in the 3rd floor fully. The exhibits are so powerfully informative. We're definitely coming back for PART II and III.

Visited 04/13/25 Very cool place. 3 levels of African American history. Highlighting the milestones and achievements with such rich history. Plenty to read, memorabilia and hand made quilts in a nice, clean building inside and out. Well worth the $12 admission.

9/12/2024 I loved this place it was very informational i learned so much about my ppl that i didn't already know. I loved all of the exhibits even though all of them weren't open it was still a large amount that was. This isn't a museum you should rush through take you time and take it all in and you wont be disappointed with you experience. I would definitely go back to see what i couldn't see when i was there. I went when it first opened so it was really no one in there which was perfect i got to stay at each exhibit as long as i wanted with no interruptions..

Some precious soul researched every recorded local lynching (and there were thousands of these hate crimes across the U.S), and procured dirt from each location. There is a sobering memorial room with a name and description of each person and story represented. I appreciate the focus on local history, and the breadth of information. I was a little disappointed that there weren’t more actual artifacts from locals like Frederick Douglass, who worked the ship yards around the corner, or Harriet Tubman. There is a copy of the North Star, but I think it’s a replica. There are some artifacts, for sure. I just felt it was heavy on the replicas and informational plaques.

Beauty and peace in one stunning 19th century conservancy. A truly tranquil experience! A lovely pathway visiting various biomes which you can meander in any direction. The orchid garden serves as the gateway to the tallest of the conservancy rooms, with trees and a nice wooden pier. Smells are wonderful and trickling water can be heard in certain sections. Describing the Rawlings Conservancy in one word: Serenity.

One of the few enjoyable aspects of Baltimore. Beautiful conservatory and a great spot to visit for those coming from out of town. Friendly staff and overall fun experience. There’s a small little free library out front near a willow tree in desperate need of a clean up and paint…

It was small but very well maintained and operated off of tips. It housed a nice collection of plants. The grounds had a few ball fields and some trails perfect for a day at the park

Beautiful indoor gardens with several distinct areas to explore. Pleasant staff too.

I love this beautiful place filled with extraordinary plants. I’ve never seen plants this large before. The koi pool was beautiful. It’s a relaxing atmosphere and it has a guided walk app which informs about all of the plants you’ll see. I’ve brought many people here and all loved the experience. The outside grounds are also beautiful. Excellent for photo ops.

I really enjoy visiting. It always brings a calm during the day. They accept donations (card of cash). Very worth it.

Great hidden gem in the city, small but there are a handful of rooms (tropical house was my favorite). Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Entry is free but I do recommend bringing cash for a small donation.

If you are a baseball fan it will be worth the $15 for the memorabilia alone. Being a Ruth fan or Yankees fan will just enhance the experience. If you are in town for a game or just have an hour or two its worth the visit. The time goes by as you look at the displays. You can go through quickly in like 20 minutes if you speed read or skip some of the displays with vids.

Went to go visit The Sultan of Swag, The Colossus of Clout, The King of Crash, The Great Bambino, George Herman Ruth’s birthplace. Me and my dad took our sweet time reading everything and enjoying all of his greatness. Definitely recommend going and learn something.

If you're a true baseball fan this isn't a place for you. I walked out after reading "Babe Ruth is the greatest ball player of all time". Any true fan knows it's actually JOSH GIBSON. He surpassed Babe Ruth in many stats. In fact it can even be said that Babe Ruth was the white Josh Gibson. I hope they have stuff about Jackie Mitchell, women who struck him out in an exhibition game. Anywho This is perfect for Babe Ruth fans for sure though. They'll LOVE it!

At $15 per person, not expensive, but if you bring a family of 5, it's $75. Obviously as Babe's birthplace, it was a lower class row house that he left well before he was famous, so there isn't much memorabilia - there's far more in the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Yankees Museum. In fact, there is more Baltimore sports memorabilia than Ruth memorabilia. But it's 2 blocks from Oriole Park, so how can you not go?

I enjoyed the museum. I would encourage any baseball fan to come and enjoy the legacy of the greatest player to play the game. I was not a impressed with Baltimore. Our Uber didnt feel safe driving.

Came here for a friend’s art show and it’s surprisingly a super cute renovated space. Hardwood floors make the sound of walking echo but other than that nice light and nice theater for performances. It also has a bar 🤫

This event was an amazing experience. Besides the fact that it was intimate, it was interactive. The musicians were very in tuned with the audience and put me in a trance deeper and deeper as each selection was played.

Baltimore's hidden gem. See great things for this community asset. It has come soooo far since their Fells Point days. They offer residence artists, studios, galleries, local and national entertainment, arts and dance studios, satellite location across the street for Space and meeting room rentals and community programs. New management and staffing is exciting. The whole place is pulsing with new hopes and excitement. Love this place. They recently lost one of their dedicated volunteers... Jack...if he had a choice, he would still be here, checking in tickets at the shows. Everyone knew Jack.

I've been here for several different artist events.They are always friendly and professional. They Raw artist show is always nice ,and kids activities they have in the summer.My boyfriend recently had a comedy show here and the set up included everything we needed .Some of the nice things is seeing your name on the marquee out front and the jumbo screen inside you can use.

The Candlelight concert by Fever Tribute to ABBA was incredible 👏It was a birthday gift for my husband from our kids. We really enjoyed it.

Awesome venue to have a grand celebration. Very reasonable contract fees. The staff are superbly sensitive to your details abd requests. Best bartender. Sound system pumps... is perfect. Par excellence is what you get. You will not be disappointed.

A fantastic​ FIVE-STAR bucket list pirate cruise in Baltimore Harbor!​ WARNING: Our ship, the Relentless, was​ unmercifully “attacked” by a rogue pirate​ while in the harbor;​ ​however, the rapid response by the kids​ with the water cannons saved the day! (​see photos) The super crew kept everyone engaged with stories, music, dancing, and games while we​ enjoyed beautiful harbor views and cruised past historic ships, including the USCGC Taney (a Pearl Harbor survivor), the USS Torsk (a World War II submarine), and the USS Constellation (a Civil​ War-era warship).​ Top-notch captain and crew making it fun for all ages. Souvenirs on the dock, and you can bring your own drinks and snacks.

BYOG Cruise was an absolutely amazing experience 10/10. We were celebrating a birthday and it was the perfect activity in the harbor! Bill and Ann absolutely kill it out there and make sure everyone is having a good time!

We’ve gone on two family sailings, one last summer and one this summer. Both times, our time slot had to be rescheduled to another time on the same day. Knowing this was a possibility, I kept our day flexible when planning. I would recommend to others to do the same. While last summer was a good experience, this summer was even better. The captain was great in making sure everyone knew the safety protocols and encouraging anyone to speak up if they were feeling unwell due to the heat. They had fans with ice that were really nice on board. They had water if needed and were also selling bottles at a cheap price around $2 (not like the $6 you might pay elsewhere). There are pirate themed items you can buy and, again, the prices are very reasonable. The “pirates” were great with the kids. In particular, a man nicknamed Skully was wonderful with my son. He immediately picked up on my son’s vibe, who can be a little cautious and anxious at times, and connected with him. They encouraged him to participate in the games and immediately respected his decision if he wanted to just sit and watch instead. The way they interacted with him made him feel comfortable and by the end he was participating fully and having a great time. The staff this time around was truly wonderful, we will be back.

A Swashbuckling Good Time with Urban Pirates! Our experience with Urban Pirates in Baltimore was absolutely fantastic! The crew was full of energy, humor, and pirate spirit from start to finish. A special shoutout to Zephyr, who kept everyone entertained and in high spirits, and to Captain Bagel, who handled the ship like a true seasoned pirate, smooth sailing all the way!

It's a fun kitschy thing to do. Went with a small group and we had a lot of fun. Clearly the more you buy into the gimmick the better. Also it's BYOB so bring more than you think so you can share.

If you get the chance, definitely hop on an Urban Pirates cruise! Within my group of friends, we had some doubters. By the end, everyone was having a great time. The pirate crew did a great job of making sure that every moment was filled with fun bits and games. I appreciate that we could bring our own drinks aboard. What a fun operation they’re running! Great idea and great execution.

We loved it we we t as a big group and my toddler had sooo much fun abd so did I!! It was interactive for the kids and i didn’t want to end, ended too fast :( will def be back if in town again, (p.s. clean bathroom on board, super friendly crew 💜💜)

Had a wonderful time at Historic Ships in Baltimore! The tour was informative and well-organized. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making the experience even better. The ships are beautifully preserved and offer a unique glimpse into history. Definitely worth a visit for history enthusiasts and families alike!

Ships were neat to see and walk around inside. The USS Constellation was my favorite you can walk all through it. They have a cutter that was in the battle for Pearl Harbor which was awesome to see. The submarine was neat to walk through but watch your head! Would be neat to see more people in and around the ships to point out some neat things you might not usually see.

Our grandson loves ships and planes so we took him to Baltimore's Inner Harbour on Sat July 26, 2025. . We hit the science center and then toured the ships at the Harbour. Each ticket consisted of 4 ships to tour. Adult price was $22 each. Children 5 and under are free... I told the the guy at the counter we need two adult tickets and our grandson is 5. Before the guy could even push a button.... our grandson was like " no, I'm 6 pop". OK lol I guess he's 6 now. Lmfao. So, since I didn't save $10 lol our total was about $53. The tickets are for your own self guided tour of 4 ships. Unfortunately, we only did 3 of them. The Constellation, the Chesapeake Lightship and the U.S.S Tursk Submarine. The ships were really cool to see. Our grandson loved it! The Constellation has very narrow floors. Im 6'3 and literally had to walk through it with more than my head down. It's nice to see what things looked like on the boat. The beds , the cabins, the kitchen area and so forth. Some tiny rooms had 5 beds in it!! Im not sure that 5 normal people could even stand in the room at once. Im tall and slim and in no way, could I could have survived. I guess most guys back then were small lol. The Submarine was really interesting. Please be aware, if your over 6'5 , over 200 lbs or over 60 years old this may not be for you. It is small to maneuver through and requires some good hand - eye coordination and some good bones lol. The Chesapeake Lightship was the only one that seemed to have room to walk through. However, all of them had some small steep steps. Please be careful not to hit your head. From the top of the ships you are presented with some nice views. We didnt encounter many other people there. Maybe a few but not many. It was over 95 degrees the day we went so there wasnt a ton of people outside like us lol. The tickets last all day I believe. You can take pictures, read all the information boards, move slow and take your time if you can. Im rating the historic ships of Baltimore tours a 5 out of 5 stars. It was worth the money... especially if your able to tour all 4 ships.

Probably the most unique and the best-value-for-money attraction in Baltimore. For an entry fee of 22 dollars you can visit 4 different warships at your time of convenience. The order of ships staring from the best in my opinion are: USS Torsk (submarine), USS Constellation (a sail-only warship), U.S Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) 37, and LS-116 Chesapeake (a lightship). Visiting a submarine's interior would be a first experience for many. USS Constellation with all its majestic cannons was a great feast to the eyes. USS Constellation still does a demo of firing a cannon - of course, it is done without a projectile. We took 3 days, in between visiting other attractions, to visit all 4 ships. Their flexible entry rules also makes it interesting when you visit each ship, and also keeps sensory overload and fatigue at bay (no pun intended?).

No wait and had most of the ship to myself. Was able to spend time reading all the stories. Ship was in excellent shape, restrooms were clean and a good giftshop. They have a pass for 25 bucks to see 4 ships in the bay, I highly reccomend doing that it was a great value.

This was beyond fantastic. It was so historically interesting. The guides on each ship were very friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. We didn't have time to hit all four ships, but what's awesome is that we have up to a year to go back and catch what we didn't see. It is a bit of a hike, so wear comfy walking shoes. But its totally worth every step!

The Historic Ships in Baltimore is an incredible stop for anyone interested in maritime history, and visiting during Fleet Week made the experience even better. One of the most fascinating ships on display is the Chesapeake, a former lighthouse ship that played a crucial role in guiding vessels through dangerous waters. Built in 1930, the Chesapeake braved some of the fiercest storms, including a hurricane in 1936 where the anchor chain snapped, forcing the crew to drop a spare anchor and run full steam ahead just to stay on station. It’s amazing to think about the skill and bravery required to serve on such a vessel in these conditions. The ships themselves are well-preserved, and walking along the decks gives you a real sense of their history. The Chesapeake, with its advanced diesel-electric power and signaling technology for the time, ensured the safety of countless ships over the decades. For national park passport collectors, they even have stamps for the ships, which adds a fun touch to the visit. The whole experience was well worth it, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Baltimore. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for something unique to do, you can’t go wrong with the Historic Ships Museum. They also had a submarine and other older clipper ships.

Maryland Center for History and Culture is a nice musem that has a ton of historical artifacts. My favorite parts are the art section. It was intriguing to learn about parts of MD's history. The Tom Miller peices, in the museumwere great to see. My feedback to the museum, lower the admission cost to $10. The furniturw floor is passe. BRING BACK THE JIM HENSON EXPERIENCE!

Excellent place to go for a history of Maryland and even more so for their extensive library and archive collection. The team here facilitated a viewing of documents related to the Booth family (from Baltimore, which was so wonderful. I’m always amazed what libraries and archives have available for public view just by making the request. I cannot recommend a trip here enough! Remarkably friendly staff as well.

Great museum with lots of local historical event and people information Total of three floors. 1st floor is civil right movement related. 2nd floor is revolutionary war related. They also have one designated section for female fashion designer McCardell from Baltimore. Other sections have lots of paintings of Baltimore back in the day. Also there was a section filled with quilts art which was beautiful. I really liked the library. Beautiful architecture and lots of book. It has a capacity of 49 people. Quiet and small library. Third floor had furnitures from various time period and different styles. I visited on the first Thursday for free admission. I would come back if they have different special exhibitions later. Great museum to visit! Staffs were friendly and helpful as well.

I just visited here with my husband to enjoy the Jim Henson exhibit and we had a wonderful time!!! This was my first time at this museum, and I definitely see myself coming back for future exhibits. The lady at the front desk was very nice, as was a very sweet security lady named Ms. Betty! The bathrooms were super clean, the exhibit spanned several rooms and kept me occupied with all the props, videos and costumes on display, and the gift shop was super nice too! All in all, I give this place a 10/10 and can't wait to come back!!

Deep in history of art and culture, with an wide collection and welcoming staff. There are furnitures, silver sets, weapons, costumes, dolls and more. I enjoyed the exhibition the most, and the opportunity to weave. There is also a play area for little visitors. There is on site parking (first come first serve). Thank you for having us.

This a rich and deep museum that covers a wide variety of topics related to Maryland arts and culture. Each floor has its own topic and the exhibits and accompanying content help give them more context for the viewer to understand. The "Passion and Purpose" exhibit was so powerful and I enjoyed learning about Black History and progression. The "Jim Henson Exhibition" on the second floor was AWESOME. You got to see Muppets, Sesame Street and more of Henson's iconic puppet characters. The depth and detail the tell about Henson and his work is really amazing, and they have even more interesting things in the gift shop. The little sitting area at the back of the third floor is also fun and has great books for one to sit and enjoy. This is a great museum in the city that will have plenty for all to enjoy, no matter the age!

I visited before the Gardens were planted and still had a lovely experience. Volunteers and employees were hard at work planting when I arrived. Definitely visit the Nature Center, staff there were great! They have Luna Moths and Grey Tree Frogs on display and the center is very well maintained. I only wish I could have visited on the weekend so I could tour the mansion. I will absolutely be back to see the gardens!

Beautiful arboretum in historical estate location is Baltimore’s largest public garden. Plenty of parking on mid-summer weekday and open nature center with friendly employees. The only miss was inability to tour Cylburn Mansion. There is a choice of paved paths or hiking trails and well-thought out arboretum layout to please an eye. Worthwhile detour from I-95 when passing through Baltimore, free admission was an added bonus.

We went for one of the open house tours in early April. The staff in the mansion and the nature education center were wonderful. They were very knowledgeable about the history of the grounds and the flora and fauna one can find there. Of note, we were immediately greeted by adorable northern mockingbirds at the entrance of the mansion and only continued to see birds and flowers from there. The trails were easy to walk in regular shoes or sandals. There are wheelchair ramps, automatic doors on the education center, and braille labels on the premises. The upper floors of the mansion were not open to the public for tours (on the day we were there).

Definitely not as large as I'd expected. Outside garden waa beautiful, full off bumble bees just minding their business. I wish we'd had a selfie stick/tripod, cause it was a beautiful backdrop for photos.

I spent the day at Cylburn Arboretum for a work retreat, and what a beautiful surprise it turned out to be. The gardens are peaceful and full of quiet charm, every path feels like a small escape into nature. It’s the kind of place that reminds you to slow down, breathe, and notice the beauty around you. Truly a hidden gem in the city.

Beautiful green space and Mansion. I hadn't been in years and went for their Halloween program. The spooky trail was fun as was the night hike. It was a great family outing with food trucks and kid's activities. I would go again if they had an adult only night program.

I didn't get to all the places I wanted to go inside of the arboretum. But what I did see was stunning! I'm obsessed with dahlias and there was a dahlia garden. Absolutely gorgeous. This place is very very well maintained. Lots of walking spaces very very nice place. When I left there was a wedding party gathering for a photo shoot.

Enjoyed another Maritime Magic benefit at Frederick Douglass . What great time. There were a few thousand people there and the crowd never felt too crowded. Perfect setting. Beautiful sunset over the water. Great food and drink. The best was the music. Dumpsta Funk out of New Orleans was funkolicious. Then the show got even better when hometown hero Chris Jacobs joined in. He set the place on fire. Such a great night.

One of the most lovely wedding venues in Baltimore! In addition to the rich history of the location and it's contents, it's in a beautiful place on the harbor to enjoy a plethora of creativity with the right photographer!

We had the best wedding at the Frederick Douglass on October 12, 2025! We were able to have our wedding out on the pier, which was just incredible! Our cocktail hour was on the second floor so our guests could enjoy the museum. Our reception was on the third floor and was absolutely stunning. We have received many compliments on our unique venue and Natalie and her team made this all possible!

More of a black history museum than a maritime museum. The third floor is mostly empty. There’s an outdoor balcony, but it was locked. They have four old ships, but you’re not allowed to go out on the dock. There’s a workshop for maintaining them, but you’re not allowed in.

Weddings at Frederick Douglass Maritime Park are not only unique because they can be held right on the waterfront pier, but because portraits in and around the venue, especially the views taken from the 3rd floor looking out onto the brick courtyard, are incredible! The flow happens seamlessly for guests as they move from the ceremony on the pier into the courtyard for cocktails and then up to the 3rd floor for the reception. America's first catholic cathedral. It has an impressive Roman style architectural facade. Frescos and sculptures on the interior are beautiful. This is not the biggest cathedral I have visited, but it does impress with history and style.

Beautiful historical building. Not a catholic or christian, but the church was beautiful. I can see that it has been here for awhile but still beautiful. Not many people were there during the weekday. I think there is a tour upon a request for the basement area where all the historical artifacts are stored. Idk how the mass is like but i think the priest I came across today was really friendly. I recommend here on weekdays because weddings may happen on weekend

Huge fan of basilicas in general and when I saw Baltimore had one I had to go visit it. Idk about any of you but basilicas don’t disappoint when it comes to architecture. Flew my drone around it and got a view of the city too.

Since the Baltimore Archdiocese closed my parish, I've been attending Sunday masses at The Basilica, and it's been an amazing experience. The architecture is absolutely stunning, and I find myself in awe every time I walk through the doors. I feel a deeper connection to my faith since starting to attend masses at this beautiful place. I highly recommend visiting if you're ever in town and looking for a spiritual experience. It has truly become a special place for me and my family.

This is a must-see historic basilica in Baltimore. So much history can be discovered in this building and is a marvel for architecture lovers.

Started in 1806 and finished in 1821, much of the delay was due to decision-making. When we stand in awe of US buildings such as this, consider European architecture dating back BC. To stand at their foundations and consider the task! If you can, everyone should go somewhere overseas and experience ‘the old’ to REALLY feel our ‘old’.

As a fan of Edgar Allan Poe's work, this was a must-stop when I visited Baltimore. The historical burial grounds dating back to the late 1700's are easily accessible from the street & there is ample public parking nearby. Be respectful of the property as you walk through this small and peaceful cemetery nestled around the grounds of Westminister Presbyterian Church. The Edgar Allan Poe house is also fairly close by, but you DO want to book a tour for that location well in advance as guided tours are limited and sell out quickly.

My partner and I first time in Baltimore Maryland and our first historic stop was Edgar Allan Poe's grave site was a fantastic experience it was not spooky but fun! Good reading never goes out of style.

If you're a fan of Poe and his work you need to stop by if you're in the area. Paying respects to my favorite author, one who molded much of my personality and quirks as a young kid, was absolutely worth the slight inconvenience of paying $2 and walking a block. The gothic naturen of the church and grounds are gripping to anyone who who consider themselves a fan. I love graveyards. This one was unique as it was the 1st I've seen built over, creating catacombs in under the foundation... I'd didn't know I was missing a quiet meditation in a cemetery, till after I sat quietly to reflect and pay respects to the permanent residents.. countless child graves remind us of the fragility of life and the hardship of past times. Seeing these deeply weathered memorials reminds me how unimportant the heartaches , dreams, loves, deceptions, and traumas we carry are in the scope of time. When we're gone none it will matter... So before then I'm going to dismiss the painful and lamentable issues of life as irrelevant and fleeting... I'm gonna remember to enjoy the small things in life and celebrate the day to day blessings I disregard and forgot are what make life matter. If you're a fan of the macabre, a lover of gothic life, a fan of his works, or just happened to be wandering in the area you won't regret spending 30 minutes to an hour contemplating quietly....( It's free if you're broke or cheap) Hope you walk away in agreement with me and decide to fret over life's disappointments "quothe the raven, "nevermore"." If you've read the other reviews about Edgar Allan Poe's grave, you've probably already learned everything you really need to know: easy to access, well-maintained, very moving experience, roses and notes left on the headstone, original burial site out back. My daughter lives in Baltimore, and from the moment I learned she was moving there, I couldn't wait to visit this famous literary site with her. While some mothers read their daughters Little Golden books or stories of Disney princesses, I read my daughter The Cask of Amontillado. We both have Poe tattoos. This was a big deal to us to visit this site together for the first time. I'm not really sure what I expected to encounter. To me, Poe is larger than life. Surely there are guards and gates and all these other things to keep people from doing anything that might in any way disrupt these magnificent grounds! But no. Quite the opposite. It's very accessible. It's marked, but if you're not really looking for it, you could easily miss it. It's actually very modest considering that we're talking about Edgar Allan Freakin' Poe (not his legal name). I live in Buffalo, not far from where Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) was buried in Elmira. I also live very near to some other famous gravestones not associated with authors (Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo is home to the final resting places of rocker Rick James, former President Millard Fillmore, and inventor of the electric chair Alfred P Southwick). I give you this brief history so you know that this is not my first time visiting the gravesite of a very well-known person. Still, I was incredibly taken aback by the ease at accessing Poe's grave. It's pretty peaceful here too - not at all touristy, I'd say (unless I just happened to go on a day when fortuned smiled upon me!). It would be a great place to sit and read, think, draw, or paint. A quick tip: If you have a problem walking hills, I'd recommend getting someone to drop you off at the site. It's in a slightly hilly area and there's no really convenient place to park nearby. "Enough," he said; "the cough is a mere nothing; it will not kill me. I shall not die of a cough." (The Cask of Amontillado)

Very important historical site worth your time. Make sure you go all the way to the back of the cemetery to his original burial site and to see some of the older graves!

This place is really amazing we're from Indiana and I've always wanted to visit the east coast and See more of Baltimore and learn and see throughout history of Edgar Allan Poe. These stories are amazing you can spend hours reading some of the Tombstones and see the dates back in time, always wondering what it would be like to have live in this country around this time. Highly recommend stopping by the cemetery to look around, and touch history

We had the incredible opportunity to attend the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for the very first time on Saturday, June 28, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The performance was absolutely mesmerizing — the talent and skill of the musicians and performers were evident in every note. Being part of such a grand event made us feel special, as we had never attended a show of this scale before. It was a beautiful evening filled with powerful music, passion, and artistry. We’re so grateful for the experience and look forward to returning!

I had the opportunity to attend the Nas concert, and the parking directly across the street was efficient, so I didn't have to walk much. The venue was nice, but the sound quality during the concert was off; it was muffled and hard to hear at times.

We had such a great time here! I do recommend that if you're going to park in the garage across the street that you give yourself an extra 30 minutes. We found that driving in was longer than expected and we were late to our show. Otherwise the orchestra is fantastic!

My first time ever at the BSO and it was better than what I could’ve imagined! My partner and I went to see Jurassic Park and the BSO delivered. From the musicians, to the music, everyone was having such a great time. Will be returning hopefully for the performance of ELF!

Baltimore symphony orchestra is amazing place to listen and watch classical music. The orchestra is excellent and always put on a great show. Tonight we saw Joshua Bell for the second time. His slides and touch is impeccable with smooth rounded transition. BSO is one of the few places we’re the tickets are reasonable priced without the Ticketmaster fees. The boxes have a full and rich sound. The orchestra pit sound is loud and full but directional based on where you site. The grand tier it matters where you sit (closer is better to the isle), the last few rows don’t reverb back as much as expected. Photo were during practice prior to the show starting.

The building has been around for some years and is very well maintained. The staff are truly amazing! From the time we pulled up to the end of the evening the staff made us feel at home. Accommodations were made to make my family feel comfortable and cared for. I was thoroughly impressed with the level of attention and initiative they showed us. The staff here are among the best Baltimore. I'd like to thank them once again for all they did to make our experience a memorable one.

Just witnessed one of the greatest hip hop performances of all time. Nas performing Illmatic with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. It was a night. The atmosphere was fantastic. The crowd was hype. The orchestra was phenomenal and Nas was God tier level hip hop. Guest appearance by AZ to perform a few tracks. It was a night! I’m Glad I got to witness it.

We were disappointed to discover the museum closed on a Monday. We were in Baltimore on a Sunday and Monday and really wanted to visit this museum as part of our trip. We were able to at least stop by and take a look at the outside of the building and the cortyard. Although we might have the chance to return to Baltimore someday, this trip could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I had the best visit to this cute little historic site today. I was able to tour the museum and the home with a self paced audio tour. Admission is only 10$ and it’s a fabulous place to visit for some history about the nation’s flag and the significance of the star spangled banner!

The museum is great! Not only full of good, interesting info but also was a fun place for my kids. They enjoyed the flagpole that they could put up and down. But we all especially enjoyed the house! Great tour! Learned a lot and I was so happy that my kids had a blast!

We held a family gathering at the Flag House Museum and it was a great success! The Museum Director, Chris, handled everything for us including the catering and setup of the private room. He also gave our group a personal tour of the museum and the historic house. I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking for an affordable option for an event!

This museum is very informative, and a great follow-up of you've already been to Fort McHenry.

This is a really special place in Baltimore. It encompasses a museum and historic house with the history of the making of the flag itself (self guided tour) and goes really well with a visit to Fort McHenry! You start the visit with a video which shows the history and events around the flag and also how it came to be commissioned. Following this, there's a small museum which looks at the house and its inhabitants and their lives as well the flag itself and its history through the years (it really is incredible how well it was looked after!). Finally, you get to see inside the house. There's a cell phone tour which you dial in on or else there is a paper version of the tour too with numbered stops. Both times I've visited, I've been the only person there and it's nice to be able to take your time and really look at the rooms and artefacts without being rushed on! There's a small gift shop and the lady on the desk is really lovely and very friendly- well worth a visit! I'd recommend just checking the opening hours before you sit as it's not open daily and does close a little earlier too than other attractions.

This is a nice bit of Baltimore history. There is a convenient parking garage across the street. We spent about an hour here. There’s a small museum exhibit and a self guided tour of the house. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

Had a great time visiting and riding streetcars! I got to ride the yellow and the green one. Both streetcar operators were very friendly and informative. The operator of the green on even offered to take our picture when getting off. The museum is ran by volunteers and you can tell that they all really enjoy being there. If you haven't been, you should definitely visit.

The Baltimore Streetcar Museum is an excellent way to spend an hour or two learning about Baltimore's rich transit history. They have preserved one of every type of streetcar that ran in the city and most of them are available for you to ride. The volunteers that run the museum are very passionate and knowledgeable. Definitely a hidden gem as most cities don't have railway museums inside the urban core and you can even get to the BSM by walking, biking or taking transit.

Take a ride on faithfully restored streetcars, including the oldest in the country! (Check limited hours) Wonderful history of the streetcar in the US and especially Baltimore. Describes how cars and roads co-opted rails. Many original artifacts and exhibits and servers as location of Maryland Streetcar archives. All run by VERY dedicated volunteers who narrate history during your ride. Working train set behind glass. Small gift shop with memorabilia. We got familiar with the museum and volunteers in October 2023 when my daughter had her wedding here. My wife created a native plant garden that volunteers keep going. A lot of family fun!

Celebrated my dad's 70th birthday was awesome. The staff was great. Enjoy the train ride everyone had fun.

The street cars are very well maintained. Impeccable. Staff is amazing. The friendliness was remarkable. There is free parking, a gift shop with lots of great options. It was a very fun experience.

6June2023 Nice spot along inner harbor for a relaxing view and for kids and families to have fun. I’ve been to inner harbor several times over the years since residing in Maryland and haven’t stopped here until now on one of my many day trips here. There are restrooms to the side of the building. Don’t go in unattended. The police do patrol the area and it is safe.

Newly built vibrant park located near the lower end of Federal Hill with exploration stations, including a skate part, sand volleyball courts, playground and gorgeous views of the city and water. Don't miss this park on a sunny day, it's worth the visit!

Just opened about two weeks ago. Really nice area. Glad to see this here for the community. There is a skate park, fun slide for all areas and a climbing wall. Family really enjoyed it. There are also volleyball courts next to this area as well.

Incredibly beautiful place in the city center! Everything is perfect, great park for hiking and views of the city and the river. A place for family holidays and excursions. Near an aquarium, museums, attractions, water taxis and much more!❤️👏

Harbor Harvest Children’s Fall Festival was a hit! Lots of fun. Lots of people. Come early for rides and face painting. Lines get very long but the kiddos had lots of fun! Tashia the face painter was amazing!!!

Cool waterfront park right next to Maryland Science Center

I had a great time watching the EatTheCake Band! They really brightened up the event. However, I'm not a fan of the new location or the long lines. When I first arrived, I noticed that the crowd wasn't buying enough from the vendors. Unfortunately, it seemed like the vendors were mostly there just to display their items.

Unfortunately, we seemed to have had even more Bad Luck in the form of Heavy Rain, Lightening, & Flash Flooding for Artscape 2024. 2023 yeah Sat was rough as far as storms but this Artscape Chaka Khan was cancelled on Fri then Sat more bad weather and Sheila E's performance was cancelled too. It felt like we just couldn't catch a break as far as the heavy rain for almost the entire weekend. Myself and a friend arrived Sat 5:30 pm only to be told Artscape was cancelled. But alas, Sunday was the Charm!! There was a little drizzle, and it was hot & humid like always for ARTSCAPE, but Sunday was really nice.✌️🙂 MTA COOLING BUS & WATER BEING GIVEN OUT. Lot of good BUSSIN' food choices from Trucks to Stands. Various places all over to chill hang out & just sit from the curb to benches + small tables in the surrounding areas. Beautiful seeing Beautiful People of all races, ages, and walks of Life! Caught Navasha Daya, The Original Wailers, and a cover band. Bought some GR8! Art, jewelry, clothing, etc. from the AWESOME Artists/Vendors. Something for EVERYONE. Listened to some Spoken Word and there was an AMAZING guy breakdancing he was Fabulous!!! A Good Crowd. There was also a beautiful Vibe despite the cancellations and bad weather from Fri & Sat. I GOTTA give Artscape FIVE Stars because although it ain't perfect, and there's been some bad luck & hiccups past few years but there is NO Other *FREE* ARTS Festival like this where BALTIMORE Maryland and beyond Shows UP & Shows Out LIKE THIS: Regardless. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ENJOYED! Thanks!❤️

First time attending Artscape and had an amazing time. What a great festival! The weather was perfect, the marketpace vendors were cool, the musical acts were great! The food options were amazing, but the lines were extremely long. My only suggestion would be to spread out the food vendors so the lines can spread out and form properly. Otherwise! My family and I had a blast.

first time heading into Artscape, and i discovered so many AMAZING vendors, community events and organizers, and bountiful 501s! will definitely be making a yearly excursion!

In Baltimore visiting my handsome nephew and beautiful niece and her family and we went to Artscape. What a wonderful gathering of talented artists and creative geniuses rolled into a few city blocks. The kids had their own dedicated area to bring out their creative instincts and play old school games like hopscotch, jump rope, etc. What a perfect time to visit Baltimore. All thumbs up for a great time with my babies in the East Coast 🥰

I've gone to over 25 artscape events and this was probably the worst. It didn't feel inviting. It was cramped. Didn't have a flow. It felt liked like any street fair. I talked to at least a dozen people throughout the event and they were truly disappointed. It wasn't as diverse as it normally is. I believe the the beauty of sitting on that grassy hill with hundreds of people from all walks of life. Laughing, singing, and making friends was missing. I understand what was trying to be accomplished. But I don't believe it worked.

New venue. Indoor space for artists was appreciated. More seating needed in outside eating / viewing venues. Alcohol prices are ridiculously high and require a $5 bracelet to purchase. Meanwhile, the aroma of Marijuana was prevalent.

Great crew but the canned narration was somewhat annoying. Pricey (about $1 per minute) for how short the rides were and only $1 for the senior discount. The views were nice but it's not New York or San Francisco

A special mention goes to Roman, whose friendliness and professionalism make the ride even more enjoyable — his courtesy truly enhances the experience.

Sunset harbor cruise was fantastic! Great deal at $20. They took us out past Fort McHenry, then turned around to Inner Harbor, and back to Fells Point. My wife and I had a blast. There were 3 other couples besides us on a Sunday, chill vibes, cool tunes, great views! We were running a bit late and luckily they started about 10 mins late as well. We were able to buy our tickets on board from the friendly staff member.

If you have half a weekend day to cruise around to the stops, I'd recommend seeing the city this way. Safe, fun and informative (make sure to sit in front of the speakers for the history), this was a fun way to get out and get an overview of the city.

We used the water taxi’s private charter service to provide our out-of-town wedding guests with a welcome event. They were extremely easy to communicate with, very flexible about (reasonable) requests, and helpful with my grandmother who is an (ambulatory) wheelchair user. We also found the pricing very transparent and reasonable for the quality of service. We used the Key’s Anthem boat and ended up with a final count of 33 passengers. It was very comfortable, not too crowded and not too sparse. They were able to provide a folding table for us to put appetizer trays on. We provided our guests with canned beer from a cooler we brought on board as well as champagne which we used ordinary bottles and disposable flutes for. Both offerings were easy to display for the guests with the boat’s setup and convenient for guests to enjoy without being too burdened by the “boat” of it all. They also handle your trash for you! Our cruise was beautiful, we made no specific requests about what we wanted to see but they did welcome requests. We also had bluetooth access to play some music from our phone on the boat’s speakers. I hope this is helpful to anyone considering an event with the water taxi! We truly can’t recommend it enough.

I have been to the facilities a few times for Whiskey on the Waterfront but never have done a tour. I attended a Thursday tour with a friend visiting from out of town. The tour guide Andrew I believe was knowledgeable, energetic and accommodating. The tour was great and ending the tour with the tasting was nice. The group was small so it allot for intimate conversations. I wish there as a coupon given at the end to use in cute gift shop.

5 Stars – Amazing Experience at Sagamore Distillery! I had such a fantastic time on the Sagamore Distillery tour in Baltimore, and our guide, Lars Olsen, was incredible. He explained everything in detail and was so present with us that once I started asking questions, the whole group got really engaged. Even though time was running out, Lars stayed attentive to all our questions and even took pictures for us. The tasting portion was excellent. Lars guided us through each type of whiskey, explaining how it should be smelled, sipped, and appreciated. I learned so much that I’m seriously considering becoming a whiskey drinker! It’s perfect for someone like me who wants just a little taste and maximum enjoyment—definitely some grown and sexy vibes happening here. If you’re in Baltimore and want a tour that’s informative, interactive, and genuinely fun, I highly recommend Sagamore Distillery, and ask for Lars—he makes the experience unforgettable.

Went there for the first time for a wiskey/chocolate pairing and tour. We got there a little early so we checked in and went to the bar for some tastings and a drink before the tour. Zach made us a couple great drinks he was great. Then we took the tour and (I think her name was) Paige was very personable and informative. We went from the tour to the pairing and it was a really cool room for the event. There were 4 different whiskeys 🥃 paired with 4 different chocolates 🍫. Each were good but a couple of them were amazing. The only draw back was that I bought 3 different whiskeys on the way out 😃🤷🏼‍♂️👍. Great overall first experience.

My wife and I went on the Sagamore Spirit Distillery tour with the chocolate pairing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was so cool to see how this excellent Maryland Rye Whiskey is made and to learn about the process firsthand. It truly was a lost art. Plus, the facility itself is absolutely beautiful, especially with its stunning location right along the water. Sagamore Spirit is truly a Baltimore gem and we highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and memorable outing in the city!

We recently took part in the Whisky & Chocolate pairing along with the distillery tour, and both experiences were absolutely fantastic. Our guide was excellent—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely friendly. I never expected whisky and chocolate to pair so well, but the tasting was a total surprise and a ton of fun. Highly recommended!

Short and sweet tour. We’ve visited bigger distilleries in Kentucky and Sagamore reminded us of a smaller Bardstown. Very clear this is a new money endeavor. Love that they are distilling everything in Maryland now.

Whiskey on the Waterfront was lovely. The weather worked in our favor. A beautiful warm summer afternoon. Spirits were flowing, live band covered various pop songs and the food trucks served up some great food and dessert.

Me and my girlfriend went to see Deftones. We had an amazing time. Everyone at the arena was very helpful and nice. We enjoyed the arena very much. It was smaller which made everything feel so much closer to you which was awesome. It was clean and well taken care of. We had no complaints at all and overall had the best night ever. For reference these pictures were taken from section 122 K seats 9,10.

Really enjoyed my time at CFG Bank Arena seeing Deftones yesterday. Check-in was super easy, staff was nice, and everything felt clean and well-organized. It’s definitely smaller than some of the other arenas I’ve been to, but honestly I liked that it made the whole experience feel more personal and less overwhelming. Overall, it’s a solid venue and I’d definitely come back for another show here.

I've been here so many times... so many name changes... so many new owners... saw the Deftones. Great show. Accessible seating straight back from the stage... my only gripe is the elevator situation. It's tiny and there's an employee seated inside to press the buttons, so every time I used the elevator, my chair and her chair took up the whole space. Are there not more elevators? This seems inefficient.

Great acoustics and sound, comfortable seats and easy to get around. Lovely spot in Charm City to enjoy a concert or show. My daughter and her friend loved seeing the Deftones here.

Honestly any seat will give you a good view of the stage but I would recommend staying in the middle seats, the highest seats can be a little hard to see and the floor is way too crowded so the middle seats are great. Here I was sitting in section 110 row p for the Kali uchis concert (118$)

Comfortable seats. Clean facilities. Of course, the concessions are pricey,but the service was with a smile, and the rum punches were amazing. I would not hesitate to return. Honestly, it's one of the best if not the best places I have seen a show.

Spacious and clean venue, centralized closed to public transportation, on-sit garage, good food/drink choices. Sat on section 2 floor seating this time around and on section 111 previously and both had amazing non-obstructed views.

This was a very enjoyable local and regional theatrical venue. Attended a mid-week play so there was only one play being presented. However, within Baltimore Center Stage there are several small theaters where multiple productions can go on at the same time. Our theater was small and intimate. We were about four rows from the stage and the actors and stage setting were close, easy to hear and really made the story come alive. There were places to grab a drink or snack but one was closed and the second floor snack bar seemed limited in offerings, at least for a matinee. Building is older but it's great that is being used for live theater. Bathrooms were gender-neutral. Parking was across the street and diagonal. Reasonably priced, and a nice garage. There was construction around the entrance which made the garage tough to get to.

A wonderful theater with an elegant atmosphere! I came to Center Stage to see Mexodus and ended up enjoying it very much. The entrance opens up to a foyer area where you can either go to the other end to get your tickets or hang out at surrounding seating areas. Center Stage is oriented vertically, so we went up an elevator or stairs to get to the floor with our theater. Each floor has its own mini foyer area with a bar and a spot to take group photos. The only thing that was unnecessary was that masks are required, but they have some there for if needed. Overall, I still give Center Stage 5 stars!

This has been a staple in my passion for supporting the arts over the past decade. As a regular season ticket holder, I can truly attest to the quality of the theatrical productions at Center Stage. Season tickets are affordable and always offer an exceptional variety of shows most of which are told through a diverse and usually African American lens. Highly recommended!!! And as a DC dweller, I appreciate the ease with which you can find parking near the theater.

What a lovely place to spend a night. The event? It was a celebration for educators, and so this location was selected. Tucked away between a line of buildings, except for the brilliantly-arched lighting and signage, you could easily pass it. However, once you make the deliberate move up the 8 or so steps to the building, the brilliance really shines. You arrive into a lobby reception area that is open and well-laid out. On your right is a little cafe and bar with an opposing open dining area, across from another cool hangout spot. Above you appears the balcony and entrance to upper seats set by recessed lights and artwork And to your left, and in front, open standing area or picture taking space, with leather-cushioned seats for the fatigued. Once you enter the amphitheater, seats are arranged descending towards the stage. Acoustics were great, setting okay. Only a bit of difficulty with parking because of location. Still, a lovely and elegant location for any event if you enjoy an evening well spent! For sure, I’ll be back!

I’ve loved the theater since I was a teenager, I have recently been to 5 shows in the past year at BCS . I’m in love all over again, the productions I witnessed were amazing 🤩. I plan to see as many art related projects as I possibly can! Last night on May 6, 2024 I experienced the most soul , heart, and mind inspiring Achiving Action meeting. Artist , authors, activist, photographer and journalist all gathered to discuss the share their experiences with the community!

Great theater! Every seat is a good seat, sound is good, great staff. We saw Akeelah and the Bee. It was a great show and look forward to seeing other performances at Center Stage.

I was so happy to visit the Bromo-Seltzer Clocktower! I bought a Groupon that was for two people, and I was solo, so I gave my extra ticket to one of the ladies that showed up to the tour. I got to the tower at 11 AM on a Saturday and was really happy to not only ride the Otis elevator, but to visit inside the clock tower and see the relay system for the elevator along with the weighted mechanism that runs the clock. The museum was also fascinating ! This clock tower is bigger than big Ben! The folks working inside this historical attraction were very informative and kind. My only wish is that there were some posters to buy or postcards or T-shirts that features the clock tower. I would’ve been happy to buy some souvenirs! I would definitely return here again and it was a wonderful experience to walk down the 15 flight of stairs and see all the artwork lining the walls. The entrance fee was very affordable, and it is a great lesson in history! This tower used to be topped with a stainless steel 51 foot blue bromo-seltzer bottle that rotated - with a crown on top - it was lit up at night. I wish I could’ve been alive prior to the 1930s and gotten to see such a sight -before it was taken down! I am a person with a disability, to see the clocktower was doable - if you can do two short flights of steep stairs. There are handrails on the stairs.

One of Baltimore's underrated landmarks! This tower defines helps everyone within a distance from it, answer,z "What time is it?" They do offer tours in the tower for $8. The building is only open to the public for 2 days a week. It is notnly a museum, but, home for a handful of local creators. Ad, this is a house of studios for artist to create! On the way down the stairwell, their works are up on the walls. This makes thie Bromo Seltzer Arts Towrr a great place to inspire other local creators!

A very cool and unique experience. The clock tower itself feels like a step back in time, and almost fairytale-esque. Then floor after floor of art pieces to enjoy. A wonderful experience for a great price.

Waiting for the start of a nasty-weather game at M&T Bank Stadium, we decided to explore the clock tower and art galleries. It was fun. The clock, which is over 100 y.o. with faces in four directions, is fascinating to see. The cost was $8 per person. There were only two artists (that we saw, at least) but they both took time to describe their work and techniques. Nice!

The self-guided tour of the tower with both art galleries and the clockworks is a definite hidden gem in downtown Baltimore. A 3 room exhibit on the top floor houses a museum of Emerson Drug company history, advertising, and the iconic blue bottles. Views of the downtown area are nice from the 15th floor. The one thing this site lacks is a gift shop, but the stairwell art exhibits and guides in both the museum rooms and clockwork room make up for it. A nice hour or so worth of nostalgia with a uniquely Baltimore twist. Take the elevator or make the 15 floor climb to the top, but note that the clockworks room is accessed only by a ship's ladder style staircase, so there is no handicapped access to the clockworks room.

This visit was very worthwhile. According to the sign on the street, the clock tower ‘tour’ runs from 11 am to 4pm on Saturday only. It was minimally priced. As a senior I paid only $6. The charm of the building starts with the elevator floor dial. It’s one of those arched dials with a pointer that move to show you what’s floor the elevator is at. The clock tower is just above the 15th floor, and the Bromo Seltzer museum on that floor is very interesting. The star of the show is the clock tower room. What I first noticed was the clacking of the relays that control the elevators. In this digital electronics age, it was a blast to see an old fashioned relay panel (at least it was to me). There are also the old Otis motors running the elevators. The clock mechanism is pretty amazing. Driven by weights and regulated by a pendulum, the intricate drive turns the hands on four dials simultaneously. The guide said that the clock advances two seconds for every swing of the pendulum. The frosted glass dials are held in by massive clamps, which look like they can be removed to do maintenance on the clock hands. You also see the led floods that back illuminate the dials at night. And finally, you can walk down the stairway to see informal exhibits of the resident artists’ works. All in all, a worthwhile hour-and-a-half on a Saturday morning.

The bromo Seltzer tower is impressive architecturally, the history behind it is also quite interesting. The glass bottle collection is nice to see, the presentation about Bromo Seltzer and its founder, Isaac Emerson well worth attending. Overall, a captivating visit about Baltimore memorabilia, I had always seen the tower as I drove by, I really wanted to visit it and I was finally able to do it.

The Enoch Pratt Library is one of Baltimore's true gems. They offer a ton of FREE events weekly. We went for the comedy show with free wine. We had a great time, and the comedians (especially the sign language interpreter) were hilarious. 😄

A wonderful and historic library with great areas for children and teens, and a bevy of other resources and events being held. Very helpful and friendly staff. But please fix the ventilation/HVAC system in the men’s bathroom - there are always smells emanating from there without fail.

Stopped in to kill some time before meeting a friend for lunch. Open, easy to find books of interest or information, and plenty of places to sit. Many others quietly reading. Bathrooms not clean, but staff friendly and helpful.

Came with a local mom group to this previously unheard of nature center, and was blown away at this hidden gem! Great place to play, learn, and explore with kids.

Such a great place to stop by when hiking at Leaken Park. They have animals, and indoor play area for kids, binoculars and nature guides to check out. Bathrooms and water fountain.

The nature center was not open when we went. It is currently open very limited hours. We knew there were trails here, but there was no map anywhere that we saw, so we just walked around until we found a trail. It would have been nice to know how long it was, or if it looped before we started. We hiked the wetlands trail. It was a good hike, probably about 1 1/2 miles to the end and back, with lots of hills. It was a pretty clear path, though in a few spots, the thorny brush needs to be cut back. Overall, it was a pretty hike through the woods. I am curious to find additional trails the next time we go. I would like to get there when the nature center is open to see if there is a map. There is a small aviary behind 2 fences. There is a turkey vulture, 2 red tailed hawks, and an owl. It was a little hard to see the birds through the fences. In all, it is a good place to hike. I will return and explore more. It did appear that there was an outhouse in front of the nature center, but there were no indoor facilities since inside was closed.

Beautiful inside and out. I have been going to this place for over 20 years. I have taken lots of kids. Children who have never seen the animals that they have children who have never been on a hike in the woods. I strongly recommend

As a lover of nature centers, I can't recommend this one enough. They have awesome educational events, binoculars and other gear that can be borrowed, and are surrounded by beautiful trails with lots of birds. They have an aviary for rescued birds of prey like hawks, a bald eagle, and a turkey vulture. I wanted to learn more about the turkey vulture as I know they're social and he was alone. I emailed Kirby Pitchford, the Lead Animal Care Naturalist to ask. He responded the same day with a detailed email explaining that the bird doesn't like other turkey vultures, and blew me away with information on the level of care the animals receive. They have an enrichment room, and allow the turkey vulture, who doesn't like to be touched, to choose if he goes to the playroom and even walks himself down the hallway. He was also trained to enter his crate independently for vet appointments to minimize stress. I was grateful to learn that birds are all rescues who couldn't survive on their own and have an amazing quality of life. He also invited me to come to the nature center so he can show me around and teach me more about the animals. This is a beautiful center full of helpful information and caring staff.

We had an absolutely amazing day! We learned so much from Queen Esther and her husband Jim. They were the perfect tour guide and museum host EVER!!! OUR visit was like a journey to the motherland. Jim and Mother Ester then took us to make music with the African drums and to create the continent Africa with oversized plastic pieces. We had a great time!!!

This place is a must see! The clothes, jewelry, hats, pictures, museum, and much more. Parts of the Motherland off of Coldspring Ave. The owners are so comforting and welcoming. Thank you for the tour! I'll be back!!

If you are looking for unique and exotic African art Sankofa Bazaar is for you. The curator and owner are very knowledgeable about all the carvings, artwork, and masks. They are very friendly and have a wide variety of authentic African art as well as contemporary African apparel.

This community space provides such rich history and meaningful content to connect communities and children today with our past. It give adults and children a sense of legacy and hope. The gift shop is a whole experience!!

Sankofa is a place of rest for your heart. Go and spend some time in the quiet, and hear the cultural stories of many countries of Africa, take a class, and buy some art. The Sankofa store has so much beautiful jewelry and fashions for men, women and children. Their mango shea butter is so rich. The earrings!!!! The bags!!!!! The necklaces!!! Books, sculptures, prints, canvas. Everyone can get a little something, for not a lot. Many of their pieces are one of a kind so you have to get it if you see it, and if you can't get it then, they allow you to reserve your purchase with a small payment down. Just go!!!

Great museum, the art work and staff are amazing. The classes and drumming sessions are fantastic.
