Playa Tortugas, also known as Turtles Beach, is a bustling public beach located at the north end of the Hotel Zone in Cancun. It offers calm waters ideal for swimming and various amenities such as umbrella and chair rentals, restaurants, souvenir shops, and bathroom facilities. The beach is popular among both locals and visitors due to its family-friendly environment and excellent conditions for activities like swimming, snorkeling, and paragliding.
Best public beach so far in Cancun. The beach is small and the locals come here with their families but was not too crowded. Nice restaurants and bars
Marta Z — Google review
Beautiful turquoise green waters. The beach is public so there's usually a lot of people. Finding parking at the spot is difficult. You can park at the nearby pharmacy or starbucks and walk it. The Google maps location is incorrect! Drive about 5 mins forward from the pinned location.
Md.Nishanto P — Google review
Nice and small public beach at the edge of the hotel zone. Went there around 11 am on a weekday and the place was pretty quiet. However the water quality were just alright..
Anne L — Google review
The beach is not very clean, and most importantly, the shoreline and water are full of sargassum seaweed. In some areas, swimming is nearly impossible because your legs get tangled in the seaweed. Only small clear areas in the water are suitable for swimming. We came to swim at sunset, when there was no one on the loungers near the hotel — meaning we weren’t disturbing any hotel guests. The beach wasn’t fenced off, so technically anyone could swim there. But a hotel staff member made us remove our beach bag and towels from the lounger and place them on the sand, saying the loungers were only for hotel guests. It was awful — it was already getting dark, no one else was around, but the staff member flat-out refused to let us use the lounger even just to set down our towel. There was also no place to change clothes.
Nika N — Google review
This is not where Playa Tortuga is located, its label wrong on google map
Javier C — Google review
This is a beautiful beach area with some fun snorkeling. It’s a free beach, there are shopping and food options. Access to the Ferry to Isla Mujeres, ⛴ and Catamarans. Bus stop located there. We would go down and around the rock area where additional beach is and spreading out of people! Enjoy!
Heather S — Google review
Small hill near the beach. Bungee Jump and other actions happens here... After done with Langosta beach, we headed towards Tortugas beach. It is 2 km far from Langosta beach towards south and more knowns for Isla Mujeres ferry and Bungee Jumping. While entering the beach, lots of restaurant staff will bother you to use their service. As this is a very small beach with one small hill, not much area to explore, we decided to sit in one restaurant. I am not sure of even name of the restaurant. we ordered their mango margarita, local beer and their catch of the day fish. Fish was great and so was their mango margarita. Beach- as I said, there is not much are to explore, I was wondering why people even swimming on this beach with so less space. There was one pier where bungee jumping was happening. Also, Isla Mujeres ferry departs from here. Can come for actions but not for a swim.
Sanjay G — Google review
relatively uncrowded. decent off shore snorkeling. clear yet kind of cloudy waters. free (?) seats with umbrella behind ocean spa hotel. this is a cute lil public beach between many boat docks. i was debating between a 4 and 5 star rating, and decided to go with 4. while this is a nice beach, it isn’t absolutely breath taking like some others.

Whale watching tour agency
Swim With Whale Sharks Cancun offers a unique opportunity to witness the largest fish in the world, the whale shark, in their natural habitat. The Yucatan coast near Cancun is renowned as one of the most reliable spots globally to encounter these endangered creatures. Despite their massive size - comparable to that of a school bus - adult whale sharks are gentle and pose no threat to humans. In fact, they are known for their docile nature.

Mercado 28, also known as Market 28, is a bustling flea market in downtown Cancun that offers an array of authentic souvenirs and local goods. This long-running market spans an entire city block and features colorful stalls selling everything from leather goods to traditional Mexican clothing, pottery, lacquerware, and hand-made accessories. Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant local culture while enjoying street food delights at small eateries dotted throughout the market.
Great place to buy souvenirs and whatnot. Don't be shy to negotiate. Try to find stores ("tiendas") that have prices clearly marked. Stores near the market entrance trend to b pricier. Very clean restrooms, if needed (10 pesos per visit)
Alex M — Google review
We recently visited this location with our family and had a wonderful experience. The area felt very safe, and parking was conveniently available either directly in front of the market or along nearby streets. The vendors were friendly and welcoming, and many were open to negotiating prices. Overall, the prices here were noticeably more affordable compared to those at the flea market in the hotel zone. We highly recommend this spot to all tourists seeking a pleasant and budget-friendly shopping experience.
Dr. S — Google review
Mercado 28 is a lively, colorful spot , and a good way to step outside the hotel zone and dive into local vibes. There is selection of souvenirs, handicrafts, jewelry, clothing, ceramics, stoneware, leather goods, and more…so you can definitely find something that catches your eye. Vendors are very eager to sell, and in fact negotiation seems expected — don’t pay the first price they offer. The price is reasonable after bargaining, but some of the items are very cheaply made.
Lily B — Google review
This is an excellent place to buy souvenirs from your trip, and the prices are very fair. The vendors don’t pressure you to buy, which I really appreciate since that’s something that often keeps me away from these kinds of places. They also have great food. I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cancún.
J F — Google review
This is a vibrant and lively place to buy souvenirs and haggle over prices if you're into that kind of thing. It is a bit of a tourist tral but it's a tourist area. It can be overwhelming if you aren't prepared for the close quarters and constant engagement from the vendors, the restaurants are equally aggressive in trying to get your butt on their seats but the food we had was delicious and reasonably priced. Be prepared for additional "service fee" to be added to your bill which was 50 pesos, in lieu of tip.
Adan A — Google review
Fun experience outside of the hotels. Lots of similar items thats in every vendor. But you can find so many uniques one as well. Great for buying souvenirs
R. L — Google review
Mercado 28 is a colorful, buzzing local market in downtown Cancun that's perfect if you're hunting for souvenirs at great prices. You'll find everything from handwoven textiles and pottery to leather bags, tequila gift sets, hammocks, and all kinds of artisan crafts—basically, anything you'd want to bring back from Mexico. Prices here are much cheaper than the hotel zone or airport shops, especially if you're willing to haggle. Bargaining is not only accepted—it's expected. With a little persistence, you can often cut prices in half or better. The downside? The sellers are very aggressive. Almost every stall has someone calling you in, offering you tequila, or insisting they have the "best price just for you." It can get overwhelming, especially if you're just trying to browse. I didn’t try the food stalls, so I can’t speak to the food quality. Bottom line: If you enjoy deal-hunting, don’t mind a little chaos, and love supporting local artisans, Mercado 28 is worth the trip. Just bring cash, patience, and your best haggling game.
Sergio G — Google review
I travelled here with my wife and our two daughters, aged 5 and 4. What an amazing place! We visited on a Friday, and the people were so friendly, welcoming, and full of good humour (plenty of banter). There were loads of things to buy, each stall offering a different experience, along with fantastic local food. Of course, the stallholders are keen for business so you do get approached a lot, but that’s to be expected, it’s how small businesses make their living. People can be sceptical about Mexico 🇲🇽, but we found it very safe, and I’d recommend it to anyone. Support the local communities! (Family from England)

Specialty Museums
The Museo Maya de Cancún y Zona Arqueológica de San Miguelito is a modern museum located in the Hotel Zone at Boulevard 16.5, offering a fascinating collection of Mayan artifacts and art. The sleek design of the museum provides stunning views of the surrounding jungle and Nichupte Lagoon. Visitors can explore the ruins of San Miguelito, an ancient Maya community, included with their museum ticket.
Very inexpensive to enter, fantastic selection of artifacts and artwork. The archeological zone is wonderful and very clean, so please do your part to keep it that way during your visit. I absolutely recommend this museum! The book store is small but good, with a nice selection of books and gifts. The only downside is that they don't have a bicycle rack but they have plenty of security around the car parking area so I felt very safe leaving my bike chained to a pole in the parking lot.
Jezza H — Google review
The Museo Maya feels like a grand museum that accidentally teleported into the middle of nowhere. Entry is 100 pesos per person, and you quickly realize that the entire facility is running on pure history, not electricity. The upper floor holds the real treasure: the artifacts and stories of the region’s discovery. Unfortunately, it is also a full-blown sauna up there, so your museum walk doubles as a historical reenactment of what it felt like to live in the 16th century. Bring a handheld fan, or prepare to sweat your way through time. Once you descend the ramps and step into the jungle, things take a turn for the wild. The mosquitoes are not a myth; the warning signs are not exaggerating. Within moments, you will understand the phrase “swarmed.” Think of it as a natural initiation ritual before reaching the Mayan ruins. Despite the heat and the biting entourage, the ruins themselves are worth it. The museum may test your endurance, but it rewards you with an authentic glimpse into Mayan history. Overall, it is an adventure worth having, provided you come armed with bug spray and humor.
Red — Google review
SO MANY MOSQUITOS. It’s a nice museum but I don’t see anyone talking about how many mosquitos there are in the Mayan ruins. There’s standing water and let me tell you they were relentless. We used bug spray, but I think you need deet/strong types of bug spray because we got chewed up. Despite that, it was nice overall. You can purchase tickets there or online for $100 pesos. People under 13 and over 60 years get in free
Rachael B — Google review
It was huge and empty, only saw a couple other visitors beside me, most exponats are only in Spanish The archaeological zone however was nice, you can walk around freely as long as you'd like and it's pretty big, but make sure to bring mosquito deterrent because they are everywhere
Nikita M — Google review
Pleasant little museum in which to spend an hour or so. It isn't air-conditioned so it was fairly hot while we were there, even with the doors open. There is a collection of artifacts, many of them complete and 'whole' rather than in fragments. Many of the information panels are only in Spanish, but the larger information boards have English translations. When you leave the museum, there are extensive outdoor grounds within which are Mayan ruins. The trees provide a canopy and shade from the sun, so it is a pleasant stroll to see the historical ruins and small pyramid.
David S — Google review
If you're staying in the tourist district, and want to see ruins without driving hours out of the way, take a quick ride over to these ruins. You get the experience of the ruins in about 2 hours. It's inexpensive to get in, and they have artifacts from the Mayan area on display as well. One thing to be cautious about, the elevators don't work to get to the museum, and it's a spiral ramp that takes you up about 5 stories that you have to walk. There is no air where the artifacts are, and it gets hot quick, especially after walking up the ramp. The ruins are on the ground level, and have walking paths to each ruin with signs on English and Spanish. The signs with the artifacts are not in English. They have so many iguanas, or as my wife calls them baby alligators... SMH, I kept telling her they are harmless as long as you don't mess with them, just watch where you step because they blend in well with the environment.
Bryan J — Google review
My son and I live in Playa and we’ve been wanting to go to this museum for a while. Today we finally had an opportunity as we had a morning flight cancelled at Cancun Airport and my son got put on a later flight ;) This museum provides a deep dive into Mayan culture for anyone interested. Signage is in Spanish and English. The museum is surrounded by a jungly walking area that has ruins from early settlements in this area. It was beautiful. I would recommend this museum to anyone visiting the area. The entrance is only 100 pesos and on Sundays it’s free for nationals and residents.
Letitia M — Google review
This place is great. Plenty of history and beautiful exhibits. It's very hot so make sure you hydrate because there is an outside portion to the museum.

Ventura Park, formerly known as WetnWild, is a family-friendly theme park located at km 25 of Cancun's Hotel Zone. It offers a variety of attractions including water slides, wave pools, go-kart tracks, and zip lines spread across six distinct zones. The park caters to visitors of all ages with entertainment areas suitable for both teens and toddlers. The Wetn Wild section features a wave pool, lazy river, and thrilling rides like the Kamikaze slide.
Overall we had a great time. We booked the VIP with dolphin encounter. It’s an extra $20 to do the actual dolphin swim, otherwise you stand there with the trainer and pet and learn about the dolphins. The are never any lines! I’ve never been to a water park without lines! Even waterside was so much fun and you can do it as many times as you can walk up there stair towers!! It’s an extra $7 per tube if you want to float the lazy river, even with VIP. The food buffet with actually very good. I had shredded chicken tacos and loved them. VIP also gets a special meal of shrimp or steak and rice and veggies made to order. That was absolutely delicious! Check in is long! Make sure to arrive early. The only line I waited in was check in and it took about 30 minutes.
Kailey B — Google review
Overall I had a good day with my family, which did not cost much at all. I used the 2 for 1 birthday deal for my partner and I, then a child price. Waiting to get it was 45 mins as I didn't have tickets before. The annoying thing about the wait was there was only 1 family in front of us. Once we were in we couldn't get lockers as nowhere had change, so bring the correct amount of pesos. I think it was between 210 and 250 pesos we just put the bags back in the car. Everything was okay, rides, pool, drinks, food. I would recommend it for a simple day out, but don't expect to be amazed.
Adriano R — Google review
It was a long wait to check in even with buying tickets ahead of time. Bring pesos for the lockers. There is an atm at the gift store if needed. Lots to do at the park. Food was good and loved the lazy river best.
Tess B — Google review
Amazed by all the dolphins! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Swimming pool up top with a bar and food service. They have lockers for a few. If you ever get a chance, I recommend this park!
Britt J — Google review
It's very small, but it's fun and the facilities/rides are clean and safe. It's worth it if you're using something like resort credits to purchase tickets. It was very empty when I went, there were practically no lines whatsoever. It's not in the hotel zone so it's a bit hard to get to. I recommend taking a taxi there and then taking a bus back because not all buses go that far and they are hard to find. A taxi will cost 200-300 pesos and a bus ticket will cost 12 pesos. It's mainly a water park. If you don't bring a swimsuit you might not have much to do. The wave pool makes waves very often, maybe around every 10-20 minutes. Apart from that there is 1 rollercoaster, 1 go cart track, 1 carousel, as well as multiple zip lines and a ropes course. The food from the buffet is good, especially the pasta and tacos. You also have the option of upgrading to an unlimited food and drink ticket.
Cocove Y — Google review
Place is okay. Equipment is a little run down. All inclusive drinks and food & ice cream but, they limit you to 2 flavors on the ice cream and 1 per person. No towels and lockers are extra. Drinks are good.
Selene B — Google review
Bad maintenance, bad service, bad food, since the arriving all the road is full of garbage and abandoned old buses. Not worth it at all. Beach beds dirty. Bad system to attractions long files and signing in every one. Go carts no nice too boring everything nothing exiting
Isamu T — Google review
We loved this place... Although it looks a little bit outdated it's fun for a day. A lot of water activities, kids had lots of fun. Food was decent (incuded In the entrance) definitely good to spend a day. Zip line was top notch. Recommend!

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
The Interactive Aquarium Cancún is the only aquarium in Cancun, offering a unique and interactive experience for the whole family. With 13 enormous fish tanks, visitors can observe a wide variety of marine species including piranhas, eels, jellyfish, sea lions, dolphins, sharks and more. The Touch Area allows guests to interact with starfish, sea urchins and sea cucumbers.
Travelled from England for a holiday and decided to visit the aquarium as a family of four, with our two daughters aged 5 and 4. What a great place! Excellent value for money and plenty to see. Our daughters got to touch starfish and a stingray, and we watched a brilliant dolphin show. I would highly recommend it and the shop at the end is great too.
Luke — Google review
This wasn’t as sad as it seems. It was a great experience. We did the “ride” experience. Rubber life jackets. Get to touch the dolphin upwards of 10 times. The dolphins seem happy & their habitat is well maintained. Get to use free lockers to store personal belongings. Have to take a shower before & after dolphin experience. The bathrooms are a little run down. The photographers could have been better. They took candid shots, which didn’t turn out. They want $50 for an 8x10 picture with a paper frame. Start to walk away & they will negotiate the prices for their photo packages. $119 a person. It was so fun! Highly recommend.
Kristin — Google review
Visited this charming little aquarium during my vacation this morning and had a lovely time. I arrived about 30 minutes after opening and only had a short wait.About 10 people in line to pay and get a wristband. General admission was $17, which felt reasonable for the experience. While the aquarium is on the smaller side, it's perfect for families with young children. There were fun touch tanks with starfish and stingrays, and a dolphin interactive area you can view from above, which was a highlight. A sweet, relaxed stop if you're in the area with kids!
Jade L — Google review
Had a fantastic time at Interactive Aquarium Cancún! All of the staff were warm and welcoming, and the entire property was spotless and well-maintained. I visited specifically for the Aquarium Trek experience, and it was absolutely unforgettable. I got to touch the fish, take some silly photos underwater, and best of all — the trek staff took pictures and recorded videos of the whole experience, which was such a fun keepsake! After the trek, we explored the rest of the aquarium — watched dolphins practicing for their show and saw a variety of other amazing sea creatures. There’s also a restaurant on-site, which was pretty good and a nice spot to unwind. Overall, it’s a must-visit in Cancun for anyone looking for a unique, interactive, and family-friendly activity. Highly recommend!
Sandra L — Google review
Seeing a dolphin in person was always on my wife’s bucket list, and this experience truly delivered. The water was cold at the time, but the dolphin was incredibly well trained and super friendly with humans. We had an amazing time getting so close and interacting under the guidance of a skilled coach who explained everything clearly. It was definitely worth paying for the experience itself. However, the photos and videos offered afterward were quite pricey. We still opted for the top package to get all the pictures and videos taken. The photo quality was excellent as you can see in the review but the video quality was very disappointing, almost like it was filmed on a phone from the early 2010s. Despite that it was a memorable and enjoyable dolphin encounter overall.
Muntakimur R — Google review
This was an awesome experience. We choose the premium package which included swimming with dolphins, aquarium trek, and the dolphin show. We didn't stay for the dolphin show since we went so early in the day. We arrived around 11am. A line started forming right after that. You can book online or at the door. I highly suggest everyone to try this if they haven't. This was one of our favorite activities while on vacation. As I always say don't take my word for it. Try it for yourself. Happy Vacationing!!
LaKrisha S — Google review
We took the splash package and had a good time as a family. The aquarium is really small but the real thing we went for is the interaction with the dolphins. We took the splash package that comes with basic activities with the dolphins for about 20 minutes. The staff is friendly and they provide towels and shower access. I booked it online which gives you a 30% discount of the max price. The photo package is certainly expensive but they are good and if you want all the memories you will need to pay around $260 us dollars.
Rajesh N — Google review
Bring your swimsuit to have the best experience with the dolphins! Great service with helpful and respectful staff. Safe, clean, and organized. Don't forget to get the framed photos of you with the dolphins! Inside a mall so you can spend the day enjoying everything. Reasonable prices. Family friendly. Great location!

Nestled in the hotel zone of Cancun, El Rey Archaeological Zone may be small, but it boasts over 40 structures dating back to 250 A.D. This hidden gem offers a quick and affordable visit, with an entrance fee of less than $3. Visitors can even bring a bathing suit and head to nearby Playa Delfines after exploring the ruins.
El Rey Archaeological Zone is a great spot to explore if you’re in the Cancun hotel zone and looking for something unique to do. What to Expect 1. Ancient Ruins While it’s not the largest archaeological site, the ruins hold significant historical value and give you a glimpse into the ancient Mayan civilization. 2. Abundance of Wildlife One of the highlights of the park is the large population of lizards and iguanas. They’re everywhere, and spotting them adds a fun, interactive element to your visit. 3. Relaxed Atmosphere The site isn’t huge, so it’s perfect for a leisurely afternoon stroll. You won’t need a full day here, but it’s a great way to spend a few hours. Tips for Your Visit • Comfortable Clothing: Wear light and comfortable clothes and shoes, as you’ll be walking outdoors. • Bring Water: Stay hydrated, especially if you visit during the hotter parts of the day. • Timing: It’s an ideal activity if you have some free time in the afternoon. El Rey is a simple yet worthwhile experience, especially if you’re staying in the hotel zone. It’s a mix of history, nature, and relaxation—a lovely way to break up your day!

Just down the street from our hotel NYX & a quick Uber ride! Only 75 pesos per person to enter but BEWARE of the mosquitos - BRING BUG SPRAY!! They also warn you before entering. My husband & I enjoyed the stroll through the ruins but there is only one sign - not a lot of information, doesn't take long to walk through but still cool to see all the Mayan history!!
Lindsey S — Google review
We personally had a very weird experience. Our hotel told us that there weren't any ruins here, but we had access to Google Maps so.... Yeah. It wasn't a miscommunication because I speak fluent Spanish. Anyways, before even going down the steps, the mosquitoes were feasting on us. I'm telling you at least 20-30 on each of us. The ticket guy is behind a wall and doesn't speak. I told him we wanted to see the ruins and he told me he only took cash, pesos, no USD, didn't take card or tap to pay. Everyone we told that to afterwards said it was bizarre and unheard of. We weren't heartbroken about not going in here, we had mosquito repellant stickers but the mosquitoes took a few seconds to sense them and we were worried about our kids because the hotel told us that Dengue fever was going around. Every taxi driver, every bell person, except for one taxi driver told us that there were NO ruins in the hotel zone at all. We weren't "scared" to leave the hotel zone, we'd paid for an all inclusive and we had two small kids on us... Making it to Tulum or Chichen Itza just wasn't going to happen for us on this short of a trip.

We were visiting the area for a day and didn't have time to make the day trip to the bigger sites. We still wanted our son who loves history to have a chance to experience some of the Mayan ruins. We stopped here and a couple of things stood out. The price was excellent. The location had some great ruins that inspired our son to ask questions. It certainly is not a big site but it was just enough. The one thing that could have made this site better was more signage about the ruins. Overall I enjoyed the stop and also enjoyed the overall conversation about the Mayan people I was able to have with my son.

This place was pretty cool. There was a small entry fee (around $3). There's no guide or anything. You just walk around and spend as much time as you like exploring. They have a few plaque facts about each area, with historical information in both Spanish and English. There are also lots of iguanas. I went on a rainy day where it was kind of flooded, but still enjoyed looking around. Worth it.
Paulette W — Google review
Visited at 8am on a Monday. First visitors there. Yes, was worth the visit. That time of the day ensured not a single fellow visitor in our photos! MAJOR TIP - APPLY MOSQUITO REPELLANT ALL OVER BEFORE YOU VISIT. They were nasty and many, and unlike other mosquitoes I've encountered which bite only if the exposed body part is stationary and take some seconds before they bite, the ones here were clinging to our skin even while moving around and shaking our arms or legs, and were able to instantly cling onto our skin! We're told this becomes even more menacing towards later in the day.

A small gem of the hotel zone for sure. Cost for adults is 75 pesos... Kids are free! There are guided tours you can book through external groups. We noted maybe 4 or 5 signs describing some details of structures and their purposes. Defiantly an easy and inexpensive way to see some historical structures l/foundations of the Mayan civilization.

Parque de las Palapas, also known as the Park of the Palapas, is a recently renovated city park in Cancun that offers a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere. Visitors can immerse themselves in local Mexican culture while enjoying the shaded tables, playground structures, and an open-air stage for performances. The park is free to enter and features food stands offering affordable snacks like corn on the cob, fried plantains, and quesadillas.
This place was fabulous entertainment for every age range and was accessible to all. It had the best range of street food and was all clean and freshly prepared to order. There were tables to sit in a food court arrangement and even these were cleaned by the traders. The night we went there was lots of entertainment and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We felt safe at all times, it was a great vibe we genuinely nice people who were predominantly locals but there were still many tourists who were kindly treated. Lots of souvenir shops with people making items in front of you. There were some mobile traders and some permanent shops including a supermarket. There was also a historical Catholic Church with a massively oversubscribed service going on, all welcome as it spilled onto the street. Fabulous experience.

Definitely a must visit place when in Cancun, Mexico. It’s a very happening place during the evenings and nights with festival kind of vibes. I visited this place frequently and enjoyed various performances. There is something different everyday. You can enjoy good music and dance performances. Not to forget, the food options are amazing. Marquesitas, Churros and esquites are must try. I loved all the food options and they were all very affordable. There are both stores and food stalls on the street. There’s a shared space to sit and eat. Good place to experience Mexican food, performances and culture. My favourite place in cancun to spend the evening and enjoy the vibes. Carry cash for the food as they do not accept cards.

This square in downtown Cancun is pretty interesting to check out. There are often events happening, so you might catch a show or some kind of performance. I wouldn’t say there’s anything super unique about it, but if you’re not sure what to do in the center, it’s worth a visit. At the very least, you’ll probably find some good street food.
Victoria S — Google review
A fantastic place to go for live entertainment, great food, and awesome atmosphere. Found cheap parking a block away with free bathrooms at the municipal building. We went on November 1st so it was quite packed for Dia de los Muertos and it was worth it.

We drove here from the Cancun Hotel Zone. On weekends, the area comes alive with vibrant shows and entertainment. It’s a safe and welcoming place, and the local Mexican community is exceptionally friendly to visitors. Parking is easy—you can leave your car on the street without any trouble.

Best place for food in Cancun. Least likely place to get scammed as prices are fair and square, and clearly displayed. Authentic dishes, loads of selection, and portions are very generous. The real deal. The only place in Cancun I'd recommend.
Avits M — Google review
This place is a MUST when visiting Mexico 🇲🇽 is just a nice place to get good food for a good price along with a show. We went on a Saturday night. Food was so good and cheap that we kept eating tacos, it was good to support all the mom and pops local businesses. Marquesita are all delicious and a must try. There's also shops if you walk to the right of the dessert carts. You can buy jewelry, clothes, and so much more. Please go visit and support these local businesses. I'll definitely return and will recommend 👌
Tan L — Google review
My favourite place to visit for checking out local shops and trying authentic local food. The prices are much better than in the hotel zone, and the food tastes even better! One thing to note: most vendors don’t speak English, so having Google Translate ready will be helpful. I also found it difficult to get Wi-Fi here to call an Uber back, so keep that in mind. Other than that, I highly recommend checking out this spot when you visit Cancún.

Playa Marlín is a beautiful white-sand beach located in the heart of the Hotel Zone in Cancun. It offers stunning views and attractions, including nearby restaurants, bathrooms, showers, and modern malls like La Isla Shopping Village. The beach is less crowded than others nearby and has facilities such as lifeguards and beach supplies for rent. It's an ideal spot for water sports like surfing due to its strong currents, but visitors should heed safety warnings from lifeguards.
Gorgeously kept slice of beach. $25USD for 2 chairs and a parasol. Easy to find. Just don’t expect to find a little food or drink shack here since it is situated between the all-inclusives. However, there are spots across the street (small walk)

A stretch of public beach, squeezed in between the big all-inclusive hotels on the main strip. You can catch a bus there from downtown Cancn. Take the R1 or R2 and it stops opposite the beach. Sunbeds, parasols and tables are available. 300 pesos is the going rate for 2 sunbeds and a parasol. There are toilets and free 'thatched' parasols as you go down onto the beach. Also, a handy OXXO shop.
David S — Google review
Cancún’s water is a shade of turquoise you can’t quite believe until you’re floating in it — warm, crystal-clear, and shimmering like glass. I spent the afternoon drifting between the shore and my sun lounger, half-lost in the horizon, half-lost in my thoughts. If there’s a more perfect invitation to slow down and savour life, I haven’t found it yet.
Hoang T — Google review
Playa Marlin is a stunning beach with soft, powdery sand and crystal-clear waters, ideal for sunbathing and swimming. The beach is well-maintained, with clean facilities and ample space for visitors to relax and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. Located conveniently close to restaurants and shops, Playa Marlin offers easy access to amenities without sacrificing its natural beauty. The views of the ocean are breathtaking, making it a perfect spot for both daytime activities and sunset watching. During peak times, Playa Marlin can attract large crowds, which may reduce the sense of tranquility and peacefulness. Additionally, while efforts are made to keep the beach clean, occasional litter can be observed, especially during busier periods. Overall, Playa Marlin is a fantastic choice for beach enthusiasts seeking to experience the beauty of Cancun's coastline. Despite occasional crowding, its natural charm and convenient location make it a worthwhile destination for relaxation and enjoyment.

Planetario De Cancún Ka´Yok´ is a small but modern science center located in central Cancun. It features an observatory, planetarium shows, and a science museum with educational exhibits about space and the cosmos. The planetarium offers comfortable seating for guests to enjoy detailed views of constellations, galaxies, and planets. In the evenings, visitors can use telescopes at the observatory to observe the real sky.

This is not a very touristy location but if you live nearby and enjoy Planetariums, it’s a must! I would say stop by and take a look around and support a local educational institution that is doing great work. If you don’t speak spanish, the visuals may be enough to get you by!

Disappointed, Don’t waste your precious holiday time and money going there, took a taxi and the driver didn’t know about it, he knew the Walmart besides, and we got there and the information girl told us some things they do during the week or the same day 6 hours after we arrived so just went to see a building with some decoration, a lego pool that was the only activity my daughter was able to do, the observatory was closed for maintenance but judging for the rust and debris around it was like this since before Covid, some plants in a plant nursery, we observed people preparing some activity in one of the rooms so we asked and they said it was a private event, many people laying around we supposed were public employees as there is also some culture office. So more evidence that ahead of hotel area and main attractions there is almost nothing touristic to do in Downtown Cancun.

I have gone a couple of times to the Planetarium. It is definitely the smallest planetarium I have ever seen. However, it is nice and the star show is very good. I also went to see a band play "Pink Floyd" and although the auditorium was very small, the ambiance was great. It needs upkeeping.

Captain Hook Cancun offers an immersive pirate-themed experience onboard replica ships, complete with live action shows, music, and stunts. Guests can enjoy a bar and dinner options while being entertained by a thrilling pirate attack on the crystal clear blue Caribbean waters. The 18th-century reproduction of a Spanish galleon ship adds to the authenticity of the experience.
Hey! Just wanted to share that my experience with the show was fantastic. I highly recommend it to everyone. The pirates like Poseidon, Tolok, Hunter, Perl, and Captain Morgana are some of the most talented I’ve seen. I really enjoyed watching them!
Joseph D — Google review
We first went on the Captain Hook experience in Cancun about seven years ago, just me and my wife, and we remembered it as one of the absolute highlights of our trip. This time, we came back with our kids and it was every bit as brilliant as we remembered. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised, just like it was all those years ago. There’s never a dull moment, you’re constantly entertained with top-class performances that are both professional and packed with humour, making the whole pirate experience feel incredibly real. The disco was great fun too! Dinner was excellent, and the drinks flowed throughout the evening without a hitch. The short fireworks display at the end was the perfect way to wrap up the night. Overall, it’s a fantastic experience for all ages, and if we’re ever back in Cancun, we’ll definitely spend another evening aboard Captain Hook.
Sergei G — Google review
Make sure you check the weather before you buy tickets if there’s rain don’t go or you will be soaked and freezing because they pump the dining area with air conditioning. $20 docking fee per person and we didn’t even leave the dock! They cram as many people as they can there barely enough room for them to do the show. The lobster was good but not worth $100 for the pretty average sides.
Dorothy D — Google review
Been on many booze and dinner cruises, but this one was the best. A excellent deal for the amount of entertainment provided! Highly recommend the VIP, buy a bottle and get the best drink service, 1st to eat, and excellent seats on the upper deck over looking all the action. This cruise is MC'd by the private captain and the entertainment is immersive, inclusive, and non stop from the moment you board, until you depart. The daiquiri and pina coladas were very good. The dinner was also good. This is a do not miss attraction. We showed up early to board and were 1st in line.

Not big tides and less sea weed than other beaches. But no umbrella/shade and beach bed. No washroom, showers around. It is should be easy to make a fountain/showers for people to clean up from the sand. Weekends are busy with many people.

Beach and see are beautiful. But if you are coming from Europe, be careful. I took bacteria in water, all the time in Mexico I had problem with stomach. Only my friends who didn't swimm, pass without bacteria. Water smells like rotten eggs because of the bacterias inside. Whole city smell on rotten eggs. My friendly recommendation is to avoid Cancun. With same money Thailand is much better option and more safety, water is not smell on eggs and country is safe.

Elvira C — Google review
My fav beach in Cancun… long and wide strip of white powdered and cool sand post card scene… Right behind Plaza Forum Shopping Mall, at Kilometer 9.5 of Cancun’s Hotel Zone lies Gaviota Azul Beach. It is one of the favorite beaches for tourists due to its long and wide strip of white powdered and cool sand as well as the many bars and beach clubs around it. In Cancun, I have been to 8-9 beaches from north to south and found this beach very beautiful. I had been to Playa Norte but due to storm reef-seaweed was all over the shore so could not enjoy there. And I found this beach next to Playa Norte. It is right behind the Hard-rock café-coco bongo nightclubs. You can go inside the water and still you 'll find yourself till waist height. There is one small hill and you can have perfect postcard picture from here with turquoise beach, building, sun and sand. Vendors are there to rent you out reclining chairs and umbrellas for 200-300 pesos. It gets pretty crowded during Spring Break as many events take place on it. Even though most of the time the water is calm, when the wind blows hard the waves get pretty big; an opportunity not missed by local surfers. As this is in the hotel zone, you 'll have to find an access point. Right down to coco bongo signboard, you can find small street going towards the beach. Take that. We found it that good, we even came In the evening to sit on the hill. Breezy wind, waves, sunset, making the time more beautiful. If this beach is not better than not even less than Playa Norte beach.

Cancun Sign, located at Playa Delfines, offers a picturesque spot to capture the essence of your vacation. The vibrant and iconic sign marks the entrance to the unspoiled beach, providing a perfect backdrop for your photos. While waiting for your turn to snap a picture with the sign, you can enjoy the shallow turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea and relax under palapas or indulge in reasonably priced massages. Despite being a busy spot with limited parking, volunteers are available to assist visitors.
Cute CANCUN sign with ocean in the background for photos. People formed a lineup to take turns taking photos, waited about 5 minutes for my turn. Tour busses show up to let groups take photos so the line can get long with them there. Parking lot was full, but we took a motorcycle so we pulled over for 5 minutes and left. Visited on a Saturday afternoon.
Angela T — Google review
This stunning tourist destination would benefit from improved organization, including expanded parking facilities. A redesigned Cancun sign could add visual appeal, and additional seating would offer visitors a comfortable place to relax while waiting for the sunset. Visitors often wait a long time in line to take a photo in front of the sign, creating a noticeable queue.
Dr. S — Google review
Popular Cancun Sign in the middle of zona hotelera. There is a very long line and people waiting try to rush you to finish right away. We went back around sunrise at 6:15am and was lucky there was no one there! Parking can be hard during peak hours but since we went early, there was free parking everywhere.

Iconic! I recommend waiting for sunrise or sunset, we were there closer to noon and the sun was so strong the sky looked so flat in the picture. The beach is gorgeous, absolutely stunning. Everyone talks about lines and everything but the key is to beat the tour buses. If you're lucky, you can be on the tail end of one, offer to snap some pics and they'll return the favor. There are national guard all over the place, it's incredibly safe. The beach is at the bottom of the steps, the water is the most beautiful shade of blue and the sand doesn't stick to you. The best souvenir you can take home!

Went there on our way to Playa del Carmen to have a picture souvenir from our trip with friends, was night so no wait time to take the picture and still can see some of the beautiful beach as well

When visiting Cancun, one cannot miss the opportunity to partake in a tequila tasting experience. Unlike the typical tourist bars, Mexicans treat tequila with reverence and consider it a drink to be savored rather than quickly consumed with lime and salt. One popular spot for tequila tasting is the Lighthouse Restaurant in La Isla Mall, known for its safe location and intimate setting.
We had an unforgettable tequila tasting experience! Yasmine, our tequila master, was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and engaging she made learning about tequila feel fun and elevated. Fernando went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of, especially with the food pairings, which complemented the tasting perfectly. The attention to detail and warm hospitality made this experience a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!

Today turned out to be extremely rainy so we decided to do the Tequila Tasting at the Lighthouse Restaurant. Sergio was our Tequila Master. It was just us 2 (+ Sergio) that decided to brave the rains. It was a ton of fun. We learned a lot. Sergio was super funny and easy-going. Tequila was quite smooth. Kells is more of a tequila fan than Nals. But this tasting ignited the flame for Nals. Lighthouse food and service was wonderful, near the lagoon. We had guac, salsa, chips, salsa (and a delightfully hot sauce) to nibble on, followed by a med spicy shrimp & fish ceviche on tostada and then and tacos al pastor. Creme brulée dessert sounded like a divine end but we can't do dairy. Lighthouse was excellent about offering GF and dairy free option with the meal. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. We'd do this again. You should give it a go!

I’m not one to leave many reviews. Or really any. It usually takes extremely bad service or extremely good service for me to leave a review. And this was one of those extremely amazingly good experiences. When in Cancun, there’s so many different things to do and so many of the same things. But this tequila tasting experience was by far the best we’ve ever done! The service, the staff were phenomenal! Jasmine was the best! And so knowledgeable! The entire staff was friendly and the whole experience was soooo fun!! And the tequila even better! If you’re looking for tequila tasting, this is the place to do it with!!

Yasmin is an excellent tequila master! It is our first time doing tequila tasting, and she made it really fun and enjoyable! We have a cantanero (our welcome drinks) , some guac and chips, and the tequilasss! Love how knowledgeable Yasmin is with the tequilas and you can see how passionate she is in doing this. Thank you Yasmin for such a great time and making this experience a memorable one!

Cancun is a top destination for scuba diving, offering clear waters, warm temperatures, vibrant reefs, and diverse marine life. The area boasts numerous dive centers catering to both beginners and experienced divers. Visitors can explore the famous Underwater Museum (MUSA) and encounter dolphins, whale sharks (May to September), bull sharks (November to March), and sea turtles. Additionally, Cozumel is a popular day trip from Cancun for diving enthusiasts.
Loved my experience! If you aren't sure which dive center to choose from in Cancun, chose this center. I met such great dive instructors and really helpful & organized staff. Saw some lovely nurse sharks, turtles, eels in the local Cancun dives, and even took an amazing trip to the Cenotes. Thanks for everything, I'll be sure to come back if I'm in Cancun!

Jon helped us plan a great dive vacation with the family. Our two kids completed there PADI referral dives and we got to dive with them. The dives were great and the staff took great care of us. We can't wait to get back to Cancun again.

Alex was a great guide , The dive was great as well. We had our choice of where to go. I think we hit the Santa Rosa wall about 85 feet and then the second die was more like 50 but an hour plenty of marine life seen some great stuff, met some nice people from Nova Scotia And best of all they sent me pictures of the dive, which I was still trying to find an email, but I’m sure they’re there. I’ll be back.

Do not book with this company. We arrived in Cancun with limited days to dive but really wanted to go diving in Cozumel (who wouldn’t want to). We prebooked with company for their day trip with pick up included. We confirmed the pick up from our hostel and they told us the driver would arrive between 7:40 and 8am. We were waiting outside from 7:35am but 8am came and went so we started to try and contact them. We called all the numbers they have online with no answer. We sent 4 separate emails, all with no response. It reaches 8:20am and finally we get through only to find out that the driver turned up at 7:10am (half an hour before we were told), asked the reception if we were there and since we weren’t they just left without contacting us or any further investigation. We were then told we had missed the bus leaving to playa Carmen so there was no way they could come back and pick us up. We were told it was just “one of those things and nobody’s fault” in amongst a very condescending conversation. We only received an apology a whole day later however this does not rectify that we were not now able to dive in Cozumel on our trip here due to limited trips going out that way. The company’s only saving grace was that our full refund came through within half an hour of speaking to them. Our advice is that there are many amazing scuba companies in Cancun - book with one of them instead.

Dolphin Discovery Isla Mujeres is a top-notch dolphin experience located just south of the stunning island of Isla Mujeres, easily accessible via a 30-minute ferry ride from Cancun's Hotel Zone. The park offers an unforgettable opportunity to swim and interact with dolphins, as well as encounter other captivating sea creatures like sea lions, turtles, and manatees.
2nd time. First time was 14 years ago. Walk-in visit. Purchased Royal Swim, the best package like last visit. Dolphin encounter for 1 hour was amazing. Lunch was delicious. Spent the whole day there. Will definitely go back on my next visit to Isla Mujeres. Go there early to enjoy the whole experience. If you’re in a rush, you’ll not have as much fun. I didn’t purchase the pictures because they were pricey besides I still have my coffee cup with my dolphin kiss on it from 14 years ago 😂. Now they want $40 for 1 picture 😳. $90 for the set. You can decide if you want them. No pressure. If you have the money, by all means buy them. Especially if it’s your first time.
Nitayaporn D — Google review
The Catamaran crew were excellent, particularly Juan. However, there was a discrepancy between the information provided by TUI and the reality at the park. The activities offered by TUI were not available at the park, and we, along with others, were unable to participate in additional activities due to rough water. Considering the significant cost of the experience and the limited participation, we believe some compensation would have been appropriate. The compensation we received was insufficient, but we understand it is difficult to address this matter now that we have returned home.

Amazing time as usual. Swam with dolphin and manatee encounter. Food was amazing better then my hotel and was included and basic soft drinks was a nice touch. Nice catamaran back also to cancun. Nice pictures but exspensive so better if your in a group otherwise £30 per photo or £110 for all your photos we had 80 and extra £25 if you wanted the video also but we didn't, for dolphins your not allowed your phone so you either buy the photo or you dont. Lockers are free but you need to give ID or deposit for the key and then its replaced/given back ok return. We swam with sharks and Stingrays with no extra charge so that was a nice experience. Friendly staff Free WiFi A good times, we paid about £250 for 3people but depends where you book as i know can be much more. Also animals are looked after perfectly.

We visited 10/20 and were greeted right away by our server Abel! He gave us 11/10 service by far one of the best we had in Mexico through out our 7 day stay in Cancun. The trainers with the dolphins were great you can tell they love their job and the animals. The photos we bought were even better than we expected as well. I think this place is the best bang for your buck.

Dolphin encounter was a lot of fun. A very unique experience. They also take photos of you when you are playing with the dolphins. The pictures are quite pricey but a great experience overall.
Karen L — Google review
De poor manatees are trapped in way too little spaces and stressed (going around in circles all the time). The dolphins look ok but honestly, they do 7 shows a day and every two hours so their skin can regenerate. Babies are born in captivity. They hardly give any proper education about their wellbeing so it feels abusive and not eco. I regret coming with my daughter.
Joni S — Google review
My wife and son wanted to do this. My wife has wanted to do this for years and this was a great excuse to do it. The price was better than some places but still expensive. They take large groups out into a fenced off section of the ocean. Then our son stood on a ledge that he kept getting pushed off by the waves. He did get a lot of interactions with the dolphins. I was trying to watch them but they were so far away I could hardly see them which is not what we were told when they signed up. It was suggested they would be in the near areas right below the observation area but that was not true. Overall this was a once in a lifetime experience for my wife and son. I am glad they got that experience.

Puerto Maya Cancún offers an exciting and diverse experience for tourists. Visitors praise the well-organized tour that includes activities like jungle walks and a light lunch.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible Experience – More Than Just a Tour! This was hands down one of the best experiences I had in Cancun! Capital Fox was an amazing guide — it was my very first time snorkeling, and he made me feel completely at ease. Thanks to his patience and guidance, I was able to fully enjoy the stunning underwater world, including the vibrant coral reef and schools of colorful fish. But what really sets this tour apart is that it’s so much more than just speedboats and snorkeling. It’s a true cultural immersion. The tour includes an authentic Mayan ritual ceremony and a captivating dance performance, offering a meaningful connection to the region’s rich history and traditions. To top it all off, we were treated to delicious small bites at the end — a perfect way to wrap up the adventure. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cancun — it’s exciting, educational, and truly unforgettable!

The staff is full of energy. The show is great. The boat ride was fun, the snorkeling was good. I felt rushed. It should be more than 3hrs because you feel very rushed. Too much time wasted in transitions between activities within the activity. The time in the boats and coral reef should be longer than what it is. The company needs to start at the time they say they will. We had a 11am start time and it was 11:13 when the person came to start presenting the tour. That was 13 min that we lost at the reef.

I meant to write this review two years ago, but our jungle tour experience was absolutely unforgettable! It was worth every penny and then some. We happened to go on my birthday, and I even got “sacrificed” during the Mayan ceremony — such a fun and unique touch. The jungle tour itself was hands down the best we’ve ever been on (and we’ve done quite a few). Highlights included spotting the most adorable baby turtle and seeing an incredible variety of fish. The photos and videos were fantastic, especially the drone footage — such a unique way to capture the experience! To top it all off, when we returned, they served us a delicious snack that really hit the spot. Overall, this was an amazing adventure from start to finish. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Swim with Dolphins
Delphinus Punta Cancún in Mexico offers an incredible experience to interact with dolphins. Visitors can swim and play with these intelligent mammals, making it a fun activity for both kids and adults. While the prices for various activities are on the higher side, the personal and knowledgeable instructors ensure a memorable experience. The facility provides options to purchase photos or photo packages, although they come at a steep price.
An absolutely unforgettable experience at Delphinus Punta Cancun! Swimming with the dolphins was magical—the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and truly cared about the well-being of the animals. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the interaction with the dolphins was both fun and educational. The trainers made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe, and the photos captured some incredible moments. If you’re in Cancun, this is a must-do experience. Highly recommend!
Cierra P — Google review
Delphinus Punta Cancun, located at the Hyatt Ziva resort, offers a well-organized dolphin experience, but there were several issues that made it less enjoyable than expected. I visited on January 6, 2025, with my six-year-old son while staying at the Grand Fiesta Americana next door. When booking, we were told that someone would meet us at the Grand Fiesta Americana marina area to walk us over. However, no one showed up, so we walked to the Hyatt Ziva ourselves. When we arrived, my wife and son were stopped by security and told they couldn’t enter because they weren’t guests of the resort, even after explaining they were there for the dolphin excursion. I was able to find a staff member who eventually walked us to the right area, but this was an unnecessary hassle that could have been avoided with better communication. Once we checked in, my son and I got ready while my wife was directed to a viewing area on the far side of the dolphin pool. We were told at booking that she could stand near us to take photos, but once we arrived, we were told otherwise. This seemed less about resort policy and more about pushing their professional photo sales. The cost for pictures was excessive—$189 USD for ten photos and over $200 USD for all photos. The actual dolphin experience felt very short. We booked the “ride” package, which was supposed to include 15 activities plus a ride. While the ride itself was fun, it lasted about ten seconds. The other activities were also brief, including splashing, swimming next to the dolphin, a kiss, and touching them. We were also offered extra activities for an additional cost, which wasn’t mentioned when booking. After returning home, I received an email offering to buy photos online. I purchased one for $31 USD, but when I got the download link, it was the wrong picture. I contacted them to fix the mistake, but they insisted it was the photo I selected, which wasn’t the case. I’ve done dolphin experiences before that were included with catamaran trips, and those lasted longer with more time in the water. The pricing for photos at those locations was also much more reasonable. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this experience due to the short duration, the difficulty accessing the venue, overpriced photos, and poor customer service when trying to correct a mistake. 5/10
R P — Google review
It has been a great experience, specially for my daughter. This is the first time we swim with dolphins and I do not regret of doing this at this time. People at the site are very helpful and service-oriented, Mexicans are always triying to please you. The only thing that I do not like is the fact that nobody says anything about the different photo packages at the begining of the experience, all that come at the end, seems the company makes more money if the do not tell you the full story initially.
Fer M — Google review
Dolphins in captivity is an awful idea. Swimming with dolphins in captivity is disgraceful. The dolphins can't do much about being held in captivity. The people paying to swim with them, can act responsibly if they choose to. I think everyone can find another enjoyable activity besides being entertained at the expense of the animals right to exist freely. I notice the canned responses from the management of this facility. The plain fact of the matter is that these dolphins do not belong in captivity and the people who are paying to experience swimming with them are not doing some wonderful conservation experience. They are exploiting animals who should not be held captive. Plain and simple. Management replies to all negative reviews with one or two canned responses. Save the "scripted" reply for someone who might fall for it. That someone is not me.
Alice T — Google review
Experience and staff was great. -1 star due to prices. Experience price was fair but the photos are not cheap. 39$ for single, 340 for 10 or low 400’s for all of them. Makes it tough with so many good pictures. Don’t forget to bargain.
Ethan B — Google review
The dolphins need to be let go. This is so inhumane and their tank has nothing but shallow rocks. They are used to swimming in 10000s of miles of ocean. They were fighting a bit, which shows their mental state im sure is incredibly depressed. Its like us living in a kitchen sink. So sad. Not many people even want to do this part of the hotel.
April H — Google review
Amazing experience of a lifetime. It's wonderful interacting with the dolphins. We did the fin ride, which was super fun. Just that the digital album is super expensive. Don't forget to bargain...
Nitin C — Google review
SCAM. They cared more about the pictures and the actual experience. They wanted me to pay almost $200 for the photos . That’s more than what I paid for my family of three to be in the pool with the dolphins for 20 minutes. We barely got to interact with the dolphins. Such a scam!

Playa Chacmool is a public beach known for its turquoise waters, white-sand shoreline, and big ocean waves. It's a favorite for those who enjoy rough seas due to its strong swell most of the year. Located near Plaza Forum, it offers easy access to stores and restaurants. This quieter and more secluded area is ideal for avoiding crowds and swimming in peace.
It is quite enjoyable spending time on this beach especially on a beautiful sunny day. This is the public beach with easy access. Accessible by public transport (R1 bus) in the hotel zone.

Playa Chac Mool is a public access beach. There are some parking space for pay. There are 7 huts with bench for public access. All others are private. There are some vendors renting umbrella space for $500 pesos ($25 USA). The waves a little rough but very beautiful. Water was just the right temperature in late October. There is a public bathroom for $10 pesos. There used to be free shower to wash up afterwards. Lifeguard is on duty.

It‘s free. There are a lot of people. There are reefs by the sea. Many people drink beer by the sea, and there are many empty beer cans on the beach. There is a faint smell of hops in the air.

Stunning beach! Super clear water, a magical little cove in the middle of the shore where I sat and sang to the fishies 🥰. Waves were strong but once you passed the break, if you know how to swim very chill. Lifeguards everywhere. No sorgasm today just the usual small bits of sea plant life. Showers and bathroom available. No restaurants ON the beach but literally a 3-4 min walk out to the main you can find a few yummy spots.

Great public beach with fine white sand and warm water. There were free men’s and women’s washrooms/change rooms which were relatively clean. Limited shaded areas, though there were umbrellas for rent (we were offered a day rate of 500 MXN for a simple umbrella). There’s an Oxxo and Circle K near the public entrance which sell all the snacks and beverages that you’ll need. One downside were the aggressive waves. It was particularly windy on the day of my visit which may have played a part. I can’t comment on the undertow, though it seems as though there are calmer waters for swimming farther north in a coved area.

Amazing public beach with all necessary facilities, like a clean restroom, umbrella services and a life guard. Also saw several police and national guard stop and hang out for awhile. You can also get some music from the resorts nearby. From the street, follow the blue Playa sign. Beach parking is free but you have to ask to enter if the chain is up, which means it's full. Best to come early morning if you're driving. The beach was really clean and free of debris. The water was amazingly blue, especially in polarized sunglass. Definitely bring your snorkel because there's lots of coral/rock formations just beyond the waves. See the photos in my review for more information included on the signs.

It's a nice beach but without public sun shelters. Here the waves are smaller and it's shallower than Playa Delfines. It's better to visit in the evening when there is no sun and walk to the cape

Lovely public beach, very easily accessible by bus. There's no umbrellas or sunbeds to rent but we didn't mind. The beach is very wide and usually not too crowded. We were always able to find a spot without too many people in the water around us. The water is absolutely beautiful here. We saw the ocean being completely calm and also wavy, so you get the best of both. They rent jet skis on this beach too if you're interested. Bathrooms and showers are located right by the entrance.

Playa Forum, also known as Play Gaviota Azul, is a popular beach in the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone. It offers a long stretch of sandy shoreline with calm waters and sun loungers, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. The beach is conveniently located near various hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues, creating a vibrant and social atmosphere. Visitors can easily access nearby amenities such as shopping malls and party spots like Coco Bongo and Mandala Beach Club.
This place gave me a wonderful memory that I will never forget. The story was: On October 30,2024.At 8 o’clock in the morning,I prepared to take photographs on the beautiful beach. It rained in the morning,so my dress was wet.we took shelter under the eaves(it was chill’s restaurant before). A gentleman came out and talked to the photographer for a long time. I originally thought he was asking us to leave.I can’t understand what they were talking about. Later, we continued to work hard to let the dress dry, and he brought out a big fan. The weather cleared up and we were about to leave and continue taking pictures. This man was still there. I believe he saw me holding my cane. We started taking pictures, and he continued to stand there and look at us. It wasn't until we moved to another point in the distance that the building blocked the view angle, and I didn't see him anymore. After I came back from the photography, I went to the same place to change my clothes. After I finished arranging my clothes and paying the money, he came out again wearing a pair of glasses and stood there. When I passed in front of him,I said thank you, due to his kindness to take a heavy fan for help us dry the dress. Then he smiled and nodded in response. Then I walked a few steps and suddenly I heard Lady! I turned my head away, and he blew me a kiss. I responded with a smile and continued walking back. I was touched and grateful. But I couldn’t do anything . I simply wanted to get to know him and talk to him about how I made him feel that day, and for him to respond to me like this. I also want to thank him for giving me this wonderful memory, which has been with me since I was born. Now, the only time I get a kiss . I want to find this gentleman. I also tried to contact with the store in the mall (the Forum by the sea)where I can find the contact information through WhatsApp. I left messages asking for help. But no one can do me a favor. I give up now. 2024/11/11 I think I have to treat this story as a beautiful memory and bury it in my heart.

Nice beach with a vibrant atmosphere. Beautiful blue water with people everywhere enjoying themselves. Medium sized waves here that make it fun to be in the water. The only downside is no showers or changing rooms nearby that I saw.
Guillermo R — Google review
Got a very windy day and the water was full of sea weed. Not very pleasant. Regardless, the strip is so rowdy and packed with noisy hotels I don’t think even a perfect day would save it. Not my vibe at all, but appreciate some people might like. I would skip Cancun altogether.

Playa Forum is connected to other beaches nearby. You can walk between them easyly. The beach is perfect, beacuse the water is so clean and clear. The shade of turquoise is amazing. There are also no waves. However the beach is very crowded and very loud. If you need to go to the toilet, its very, very hard to find one, even thw nearby bars dont have them. Not even for their guests. Regarding the acces to the beach, you can easyly acces the beach by a narrow path between building that is next to big Hard Rock Center. You can also park a car in a garage under this Center. The parking is not expensive.

Ugly, dirty, smelly, full with sargassum. No tree, only artificial shadow. But if you don’t like trees, nature, wildlife in and out of the water but you prefer loud music, crowded sandy beach, and 8 km long hotel queue, it is your place!
Peter G — Google review
Pretty cool beach with plenty of space. You can literally walk around for miles and the water and sand are absolutely amazing. You can even do a bit of surfing if the conditions are right. I'd usually just get drinks and food and chill on the beach for hours, it's pretty much what most locals around do. However , don't walk around at night, it gets very dangerous, especially for girls.i wouldn't stay around later than 5 PM.
Cato R — Google review
It is a beautiful beach. Aqua blue water. We watched the sunrise from here. It was phenomenal. So clean and pretty. Haa small rocky structure which makes it more dynamic compared to other beaches on hotel zone. It not just flat. I loved it.
Vidhya B — Google review
What a beautiful beach! So many places to sit and chill. You can walk along the water and play in the warm water until you’re heart is full :) They have many public beach umbrellas you can use, and also small ice-cream and mango stores/vendors nearby so please carry cash!

The Cancun Wax Museum is a captivating attraction where visitors can interact with lifelike wax replicas of historical figures and celebrities. It offers a nostalgic journey through various genres such as cinema, sports, music, television, politics, children's stories, and horror. Located in Cancun's Hotel Zone, the museum showcases over one hundred famous figures across 23 different scenes. The experience provides an entertaining and educational way to learn about influential personalities throughout history.
Wax figures were nice but for the cost we expected to see more...(think Madame Tussaud's). Photo ops were great as well!
Erika J — Google review
Mildly entertaining at best. We only went because of a deal where you could pay $2 USD on top of the nearby ferris wheel fee to go to the wax museum and Ripley's believe it or not. I would have rather skipped it. The wax statues are not very impressive with .lst showing signs of age and several were vandalized/damaged. Several of the statues were not even wax but just plastic molds, some of which were badly painted and showed similar signs of aging, damage, and vandalism. It all was just very underwhelming and felt very out-dated. I wouldn't go again and don't recommend going in the first place.

Expensive entrance in a tour that Will last less than 15 minutes. The photos inside are PAID. The dolls arent thaaat well made.
Arthur R — Google review
It was fun to see, although staff follows you around because you are not allowed to take your own pictures in most places of the museum. A bit small but its wasn’t all that
Lia B — Google review
My Girlfriend and I did the wax museum in about 15 minutes. Took a few pictures. Not very exciting. Go buy a ice cream instead.
Jay B — Google review
Pro. Museum wax figures were actually awesome, pretty freaky how real they look, the plastic ones (superheroes and others) not so much, I presume that you can "touch" them so it's easier to have a sturdy ones for this. Con. So you pay some pesos to enter this place, obviously you'll want to take pictures with the figures, but while you walk through the museum there is always a this person telling you that you can't take a picture of some characters, you have to buy them the pictures. We're in 2022, I don't need your camera, I already paid some money, let me take a photo of Sponge Bob with my 4yo daughter. No, they even threaten me to charge me for this. Update your business models guys.
Xavier S — Google review
The characters are okay, not all of them looks similar to their real. The Chavo del 8's section will never be available. They don't let yo take photos only to the characters in some sections, you just need to pay for the photo with you on it. They are not cleared with the information at the beginning, I think that the quality-price is not really worthless
Sandra G — Google review
Good AC inside! 100 creations yet some needed signage so you knew who you were looking at. Very nice staff. About $22 USD per person. There are photo opportunities there either through them or you can take yourself. Some items are copyrighted so you could only take pics where the red carpet areas were located.

It was an Airbnb we found, a group of condos that people use to rent, the person we rented it from her place was very nice, it was gated and had security and we felt very safe, a large swimming pool which we played in a lot when we weren't at the beach or shopping for souvenirs, Right next door was a small restaurant and the food was quite reasonable and really good had a great time.

Experience a truly romantic evening on the Columbus Dinner Cruise in Cancun. Set sail on a historic replica ship and enjoy live saxophone music, delectable cuisine, and breathtaking views of the Caribbean. As you cruise over the Nichupte Lagoon, witness a stunning sunset while indulging in a choice of vegetarian or lobster dishes. This 2.5-hour excursion offers an open bar and the opportunity to mingle with other travelers. Despite inclement weather, indoor seating ensures an enjoyable experience.
The evening dinner was breathtaking, with stunning views of the city lights and stars twinkling above. The food was exquisite, with each dish expertly prepared and presented. The steak was incredibly well-marinated, and the service was top-notch. The saxophonist on board added a touch of magic to the evening, playing the most romantic songs. We would highly recommend this experience to any couple traveling to Cancun. It's a must-do for a romantic and unforgettable evening. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, because this experience truly deserves it! Thank you to the entire team for making our Cancun experience unforgettable!

The overall experience was unique and romantic — dining aboard a Spanish galleon-style ship definitely made for a memorable evening. The food (surf & turf, or your choice of either) was well-prepared and tasty. At around $200 per couple, it felt a little overpriced for what you get, but the ambiance and novelty help justify the splurge. If you’re looking for something different and intimate while in Cancun, this is a solid option.

My wife and I booked this dinner cruise while on vacation for the week and we definitely made the right decision. The food was cooked to perfection and the staff was completely top notch. Not to mention the Saxophone player was incredibly talented.

This is a wonderful experience. The crew was very attentive and checked in with us frequently to see if we needed anything. They have a wide variety of options with their open bar and a live saxophone player on board, everything was awesome! We chose the lobster and were eating our dinner while watching the sunset. All the food was cooked on board by a chef, you have the opportunity to watch them prepare everything. You won't be disappointed, highly recommended!

It was such an absolute delight to spend my birthday celebrating onboard the Columbus! All of the staff were so friendly, welcoming and kind! The food and beverages were flowing and delicious! I really enjoyed looking at the sunset view while eating! Everything was romantic, from dancing in the moonlight to listening to the sounds of the saxophone! If you’re in Cancun, you must experience this at least once! The memory is well worth the price paid!

Round and round we go. Fun ride on a giant ferris wheel. 🎡 3 times around for about 15 minutes. Easy access to and exiting the ride. My wife and I enjoyed the time on the ferris wheel and the fantastic views of the surrounding area. Definitely recommend doing this ride when you are at La Isla mall.
Kirk D — Google review
Great view, we went around quiet a few times (not a short ride) very worth it! Carts have a/c and roomy. Bought tickets online and able to do the wax museum and Ripleys as well as the Ferris Wheel
Crystal A — Google review
Amazing views 360 of Cancun, got to do the ferris wheel. 15 minutes ride for $15.
Gomez933 G — Google review
The ferris wheel has aor conditioning that was set at the perfect temperature. The cost of the Ferris Wheel was $18 USD, but of you wanted to visit the Wax Museum and Ripley's Believe it or Not, then the price was $20 for all three! The Wax Museum has a lot of American celebrities and to be honest, they dont look very realistic. Ripley's Believe it or Not looks the exact same as every other Ripley's but still very enjoyable. Both museums lacked air conditioning so we rushed through them due to the temperature, but it was definitely worth $20 USD.
Terri A — Google review
Beautiful spot! The wheel was amazing and we got to go around three times. What a fantastic view of the hotel zone and beyond. The whole area had so much to do from shopping with lots of stores from high end boutiques to our usual go-tos, to an aquarium, restaurants, Ripley's - definitely worth spending some time here!
Erica S — Google review
The first thing I'm going to tell you is to pack and bring at least 1-2 packets of mosquito repellant stickers depending on how many people are on your trip and how many days you plan to be here. We bought our tickets as part of a package with the Aquarium. We didn't plan well because the Aquarium is pretty small but the wheel didn't open till 2 pm. We did the ferris wheel in between, picked up some souvenirs, and headed to the wheel early. I'm glad we did because the elevator was broken on one side of the mall, so we had to walk around because of our stroller. They let us take our pictures before the ride at around 1:45 pm The ferris wheel was beautiful, they take a few pictures of you first, you ride the ferris wheel 3-4 times - it's a great duration. Pray a mosquito didn't get trapped in your car, otherwise they're feasting on you. You have a beautiful aerial view of Cancun, you can see the beaches, the hotel, the intercoastal, etc. At the end, they give you an option to buy digitals or prints of your pictures. If you don' t see the exact package that you want, let them know and ask if they can make it. They said that the package we wanted didn't show up on the first screen, but I asked for it and they were able to do it. The Wheel is so close to two ice cream shops, go to the local one, NOT haagen Dazs, the local one is so much better!
KC — Google review
Price was on point since we were on a budget. Unsure of how many times is the regular amount, but since we were the only ones in the Ferris wheel, it gave us 3 round trips! Views are great, and can see Isla Mujeres from here. Strongly recommend buying tickets at the front desk or online!

Garrafon Park in Mexico offers a variety of activities such as zip lining, swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. The park is known for its clear and calm waters, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling without worrying about strong ocean currents. Visitors can enjoy kayaking among tropical fish colonies and experience the thrill of flying over the sea on zip lines with breathtaking views.
Garrafón in Isla Mujeres – Luxury, Privacy & Unforgettable Experiences Located on the southern tip of Isla Mujeres, Garrafón Natural Reef Park isn’t just a scenic marvel overlooking the Caribbean—it’s also become one of the most exclusive venues for private events in the Mexican Caribbean. I had the privilege of attending a private event at this breathtaking location, and it genuinely exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless—discreet, attentive, and remarkably personalized. The setting is magical: dramatic cliffs above turquoise waters, manicured gardens, and golden-hour lighting that transforms any gathering into a dreamlike experience. Private Events Like No Other Garrafón offers a truly exceptional venue for intimate weddings, high-end corporate events, or upscale private celebrations. For our event, the entire park was reserved, granting us exclusive access to premium experiences like snorkeling in protected coral reefs, kayaking, temazcal rituals, and ziplining over the sea. The culinary aspect was equally outstanding. A tailored gourmet menu blended authentic Mexican flavors with global cuisine, prepared by private chefs. Highly recommended for those who value excellence, privacy, and extraordinary.

My bf and I came here to swim with dolphins, and bought the package deal that included this theme park. We were sold on several activities, food, a shaman, snorkeling etc. when we arrived, the sauna was enclosed and not private. If you wanted to leave before the 45 min were up, you’d ruin it for everyone else so we passed. The beach wasn’t “safe” for snorkeling so we couldn’t do that. Lunch wasn’t until 12:30. We did zip lining and that was fun! The pool wasn’t great. We decided to leave and take our own cab to Playa Norte until our reservation for the dolphin cove was up.

Complete Scam!Views are amazing. Park opens at 10 employee for check in didn’t show up until 10:30 food doesn’t open up until 12:30 and shuts down by 3. It’s not an all day thing. This place needs to be condemned the walls are falling apart the bathrooms are disgusting. The stalls are small like horribly small you can’t sit without your knees touching the wall. The food is horrible like stale no flavor horrible and we had the VIP Package. Coke was from a liter and tasted old. Beaches are not swimable snorkeling is a joke! The place has so much potential but it’s in need of a huge renovation! At this time I do not recommend.
Heidi M — Google review
The zipline and drinks were great. The staff were very nice and helpful. Do not recommend the snorkeling because you could not snorkel over the reef so therefore you couldn’t see anything. You were required to wear a life vest which is annoying if you are a good swimmer and more advanced at snorkeling. There is no beach and you can’t just go swim in the ocean. The pool was fair and they blasted really loud music all day long. Overall I don’t think it was worth the money and you should just go spend your money on a beach club.
Danielle R — Google review
Very nice aquatic park with a chilled vibe, free drinks and buffet and several possible activities. We were lucky it was very quiet and there was virtually no waiting time for anything - but this being said it is a bit expensive for what you can do - snorkeling (only one trip), zip lines and a small pool by the sea. The big plus - the food and drinks are fantastic and the staff is very attentive.
Diana D — Google review
We have visited three times over the past 15 years. We had kids with us the first two times and they really enjoyed the zipline. This visit the zipline lines were longer so we didn’t go. We did kayak and that was fun. The snorkeling wasn’t great this time, plus they only give you life jacket and goggles to use. The VIP food was good and had a nice variety. The VIP was too warm for us so we went back down to the infinity pool. For what we paid we felt like we should stay longer, but there wasn’t a lot to do other than sit in chairs in the shade. No beach access so you couldn’t wade into the water at all.

The Torre Escénica del Embarcadero de Cancún, located at Xcaret park, is a must-visit attraction offering breathtaking panoramic views of the coastal area. This 80-meter tower features a rotating observation deck that slowly ascends to provide stunning vistas of Cancun's landmarks, including the Caribbean, Laguna Nichupte, and downtown Cancun. Visitors can enjoy an informative recorded summary of the city's history and geography while taking in the scenic beauty from the top.
I went to Cancun for a day tour and I didn't know my ferry ticket included a ride on the towel! That was a very nice surprise! The ride is smooth, the installations are modern, clean and beautiful. The scenic views you can get from up there are priceless!
Daisy H — Google review
Specifically used Xcaret ferry to go on this tower. Never indicated online the tower has been closed for some time when made reservations. Otherwise I would have used Ultramar..Ultramar is faster, cheaper and departs more often for Isla Mujeres than Xcaret does.. typical Cancun scam...
BPM 8 — Google review
A very cool tower with scenic views of Cancun from above! This ticket to the tower is included with your purchase of Xcaret sailing ferry tickets. I had tickets to the ferry to Isla Mujeres and once you return to Cancun you get in line for this tower. The views from above are beautiful especially the time I returned which was sunset hour. The tower moves slowly up and then moves in a circle for about 10 minutes. You get great 360 degrees views . Definitely do not forget to do this once your ferry is back in Cancun. 10/10 would do this again.
Guillermo R — Google review
An insanely expensive service. They want too much for 10-15 minutes at altitude, which is probably why they have almost no visitors. And those who have taken the ride write in reviews that the interior is not very clean, and the panoramic windows are cloudy or unwashed. It is clearly not worth it.
Nika N — Google review
Believe this is the tallest building in Cancun. Gives you an absolutely amazing view of the Hotel Zone, the Nichupte Lagoon on one side and the turquoise blue Caribbean sea on the other side. The viewing platform ascends pretty fast up the tower and then once you are at the top it rotates to give you a great 360 degrees view. Admission is included with a visit to any of the Xcaret theme parks but definitely worth paying otherwise as well!
Ninad J — Google review
Good views of Cancun coastline and the hotels region. It is a bit expensive, end to end lasts around eight minutes. There is general commentary in English and Spanish. Keep your camera handy for the shots, and keep the lens as close to the glass as you can to reduce reflections in your images.
Mini R — Google review
Overpriced (but that's everything in Cancun for tourists). Despite the price; it's a very good experience. It goes up almost 100 meters and slowly rotates for several minutes so you can get a great view of the entire island, bay, ocean, and city.
Dan — Google review
We had a complimentary pass because we had purchased admission tickets to Xcaret parks. Since it was free and the tower was close to where we stayed, we decided to make use of it. The way up was smooth and we saw the stunning views of Cancun all the way to Isla Mujeres from the tower with the voice commentary explaining the views. We recommend going there around sunset to catch the sun set. However on the way down there was a jolt and we were not coming down. There was a technical failure and they let us know about it after the lights kept going on and off and we were seated in mid air about 100feet above the ground within the rotating capsule of the tower. The crew told us it was a technical failure only after 10minutes. But they somehow managed to bring down the capsule very slowly (inch by inch) after a thrilling half an hour. Later they apologized and said it happened rarely and that it would always be fixed and that the tower capsule would not really fall down. The views from the top were mesmerizing but except for the technical failure the tower was worth the visit.

They made sure he felt safe, confident, and comfortable in the water—turning his first outing into a truly memorable adventure. Huge thanks to the entire team for making this such a special experience for us. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking to dive in Cancun!

Having completed the on boat feedback form I needed to add more about the today Scuba Diving trip The staff, the team were great, all the help you could ever ask for, this makes the day more than anything else The slight negative for myself is part of diving is doing all the things you learn and need to keep doing to improve yourself, such as setting up your own BCD, adding the tank, connecting the regs, doing the safety checks etc without this your losing your skills and on this day we don’t do any of it, this should be a big no no, you need to keeps these skills so let us do this ourselves. Yes check them afterwards for us I get that. Last part was the photo section in the building, I cooks even see if I wanted to buy any of the photos on the day because I couldn’t really see the photos correctly because of the massive water mark right across every picture, your viewing these on a tv screen, come on, are you that scared if someone uses their phone to take a picture you might lose money, if the photos are that good people will buy, sorry that’s just over controlling gone to far, just loses the experience of the day that can’t you even view the photos correctly because someone is on a power control trip It’s a great looking place, lots to offer, great staff, good equipment, shame it loses to silly things.

Deep sea fishing was a blast. Price point was only $200 per person. We caught alot of fish. The crew was great, very helpful and the captain got us on a hot spot!

Made two wonderful dives with them, one of a wreck (mine sweeper) and a drift dive along thriving, colorful coral (both soft and hard). Saw lots of varieties of sea life including turtles, sharks, barracudas, crabs and rays. The crew/staff was very professional, friendly and helpful.

We booked a Subsee tour which is advertised as a 2 hr tour that is friendly for children and non-swimmers. However, they don't tell you that it is not accessible for older people and it truly is not friendly for non-swimmers. In order to get to the Subsee, you take a 30 minute boat ride to the Subsee that is "docked" in open water. Then, the boat is tied to another boat for the snorkelers that is in between the two. You have to crawl off your boat to the other boat and the climb to the Subsee from the snorkeling boat. Then, the Subsee ride is about 20 minutes long and you have to do the whole crawling thing again and ride the boat back. They also charged $58/pp for the tour AND another $20/pp on arrival for "taxes and preservation fees".

Embark on the Jungle Tour Adventure Cancun, a thrilling speedboat tour and snorkeling experience that allows you to explore the underwater art museum and the stunning mangrove and lagoon with a certified guide. The small and fast boats provide an exhilarating ride through channels flanked by mangroves before reaching the ocean for snorkeling. Witness coral reefs, diverse fish species, and even a submerged statue in the roped-off area.
One of the best things to do and spend the extra money and get the video and photo package. These guys were the best. We had Roy as our guide on the boat and for the snorkeling. We had our two teenage boys with us, and they loved it. Driving a boat across the wave. What an experience for them. Roy new where all the cool things were while were snorkeling. He pointed out a 5-foot-wide hiding Sting Ray and a sea turtle out for a swim. The boats are some high adrenalin fun for the vacation. and a big shout out to the Sky Selfie club on the videos and pictures. These guys know what they are doing. We were ripping through the water, and drone was flying right in front of us taking our video. Very cool results on the videos and pictures. This tour is what memories are made of. We will be sure to hit this one again when we are back in Cancun. Great job Jungle Tour Team!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an incredible experience! The jungle tour in Cancún was absolutely unforgettable — from start to finish, it was pure adventure and beauty. The snorkeling was breathtaking, with crystal-clear water, colorful fish, and vibrant coral reefs. But what really made the experience special was our guide — so friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. He made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, explained everything clearly, and went above and beyond to make it fun for the whole group. If you’re visiting Cancún, this tour is a must-do!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for Jungle Tour Adventure – Cancun, Mexico Our experience with Roy and the Jungle Tour Adventure in Cancun was truly extraordinary—easily the highlight of our entire trip. From the first welcome to the final farewell, Roy’s enthusiasm, expertise, and genuine care set this tour apart. We sped through lush mangrove channels like explorers on a mission, then slowed down to snorkel in some of the clearest waters we’ve ever seen. What we encountered underwater was breathtaking—majestic sea turtles gliding beneath us, a playful octopus emerging from the coral, and an abundance of vibrant marine life that felt like swimming in a living aquarium. Every moment was a reminder of just how alive and sacred the ocean really is. But this experience wasn’t just about adventure—it was deeply cultural. Roy shared stories of the region, the natural history, and the rich traditions of the local people. It felt less like a tour and more like being invited into the heart of Mexico’s coastal beauty and heritage. Whether you’re an adrenaline seeker or simply craving connection with nature, this is the adventure you didn’t know you needed. Roy makes every detail unforgettable. Absolutely marvelous in every way. Don’t miss it—and definitely ask for Roy

Had an amazing time. The tour instructor was great! Drove the speed boat and got to see the coral reef. Swimming with the fish and underwater sculptures were my favorite part! I would definitely do this again!

Carlos (2nd Picture) did an amazing job explaining the whole activity, and making sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable time. Very funny, genuine guy. The activity itself was great, while snorkeling we saw a lot of tropical fish and a couple underwater statues, the speedboat was fun aswell. We got the drone and video package, I attached a shortened version of the video they sent us and 2 of many pictures, so you can get an idea of what you'll get.

Carlos was an amazing tour guide !! Super sweet, friendly, and showed us how to snorkel for the first time. Definitely recommend going here, they also let us have a massage in the beginning for a short time.

We did the speedboat and snorkeling tour and it was THE BEST excursion we have ever done!!! Carlos was our guide and is the guy to ask for. We had 2 teenagers, a mom, and a grandma in our party, and everyone was able to do everything. Carlos and team did a great job explaining what we would be doing. The speedboats were unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Super fun and thrill seeking. Even people who have never driven a boat could do it. We saw so many different fish and wildlife while snorkeling. The statues were our favorite. Tequila tasting afterwards was a unique touch and surprise. We bought three bottles!! 10/10 experience and service!!
Taylor C — Google review
My girlfriend and I tried the speedboating activity during our last day in Mexico and had a blast. Our guide, Jimmy, was great. He explained everything very thoroughly and in a way that was super easy to understand as beginners. He was great with people nervous to snorkel as well. After our rides we got to partake in a complimentary tequila tasting which was soooo good! We also bought some really nice photos that were taken of us by a super nice guy (possibly named José according to the airdrop but never actually heard him say his name lol). We would definitely recommend this activity!! We only wish we could’ve spent more time doing it 😁😁 Also: We were told there was a massage included with our package but we didn’t have time to do that unfortunately. (Only posting photos that don’t include our faces because stranger danger- but we have so many that we can share with close ones!)

Jungle Tour Barracuda is an amazing experience located at Marina Puerto Madero in Cancun, Mexico. The tour offers a thrilling adventure through the mangroves and out to sea, where you can drive your own boat and explore the stunning reefs. The knowledgeable guides provide clear instructions for first-time boaters and lead you to spectacular snorkeling spots, including an underwater museum with vibrant coral.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the Best Tours I’ve Ever Done! The Barracuda Jungle Tour was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had—especially for snorkeling. I’ve snorkeled in the UAE, Zanzibar, and other beautiful spots, but this tour truly stood out. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thoughtful throughout the entire experience. The boats were solid and comfortable, and the directions were clear every step of the way, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The views while out on the water were absolutely stunning, and the crystal-clear water made the snorkeling even more incredible. Everything felt safe, well-organized, and genuinely fun. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for an unforgettable jungle and snorkeling adventure!

Took a speed boat tour with Arturo and it was the best way to start the day! While they made no promises to see animals we saw a huge iguana & alligator. Also toured the mangroves, saw mansions and rode alongside the downtown. Loved that you drive your own boat, it's small but safe and the entire crew is so accommodating to make sure you feel comfortable. Great time, would do it again!

We had an absolutely amazing time on the jungle tour! Driving the boats was so much fun, our guide took great care of us too, the whole trip felt very safe whilst also giving freedom to have fun and enjoy ourselves. The highlight though was our guide spotting a turtle and sting ray for us to experience!! Overall we’re blown away by how fantastic the tour was and easily the best value for money we’ve found in Cancun. Cannot wait to do another trip here :D

He took his time and went the extra mile to Really show us a Great Time! And showed us , while we were snorkeling, other reef areas with other underwater statues and monuments! He made us feel like we were swimming in a live aquarium, by drawing all the fish to swim towards us and around us! Just a FANTASTIC Tour Guide! You Must ask for him ! You won’t be disappointed! Absolutely recommend Jungle Tour Barracuda! 10 STARS !

It was truly the most remarkable experience of my life. I thoroughly enjoyed the snorkeling, and the Museo Subacuático de Arte (MUSA) was simply breathtaking. I was completely speechless when the adventure concluded. It is certainly something I would love to experience repeatedly in the future, as it was an incredible experience, and the staff members were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were particularly supportive when I first entered the water, as I was not very confident in my swimming or snorkeling abilities, and they assisted me greatly. Furthermore, everyone at the marina was delightful. I cherished this adventure, and I find it difficult to express my enjoyment more fully.

Dive into the enchanting world of MUSA, the Cancun Underwater Museum, where art and marine conservation beautifully intertwine. Imagine a gallery that lies beneath the Caribbean waves, showcasing over 500 life-size sculptures crafted primarily by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor alongside talented Mexican sculptors. This innovative museum serves as an artificial reef designed to foster coral growth while providing a stunning snorkeling and diving experience for visitors.
Amazing place for speed boat riding and snorkelling but some time the currents are too strong so one needs to be very cautious

Beautiful dive spot for all levels of divers. High visibility, really cool under water sculptures, color fish and ocean life.
Dr. W — Google review
The “glass bottom boat” was a pretty good time! We got our tickets through the MUSA site directly. It’s about $60 and $80 USD for the boat tour and boat & snorkel respectively. It’s good for those who can’t swim but still want to see the reef and the sculptures or those with little kids who aren’t comfortable snorkeling. The “glass bottom boat” is actually a semi-submersed boat with an underwater viewing deck that gives about a 180° view to the left and right. It seemed that the left side saw more of the reef than the right. And because of the design of the boat (tall and narrow), it’s pretty unstable with no view of the horizon in the viewing area, and a few people got seasick. It’s only a limited part of the reef and not all the sculptures but it’s still a good time. It takes about 2 hours to just do the boat tour and about 3 1/2 hours to do the boat and snorkel. You take a ferry-type boat for about 25-30 minutes to a “platform” where the snorkeling and the “glass bottom boat” are. Worth the trip if you aren’t a certified scuba diver.
Claire D — Google review
A really cool underwater museum. This is a great spot for all levels of divers with some stunning and moving sculptures. If you are lucky you may even spot some of the stunning wildlife that Mexico is famous for. A great dive spot for people looking for a fun and different dive.

This was one of the stops on our snorkel trip and it was fairly amazing. From the statues, to the cars, to the wildlife we got to see. I was glad that we got to see this location and would recommend it. Overall it was a great place to snorkel.

My husband and I recently went on a scuba diving excursion to MUSA (Underwater Museum of Art) through Aquaworld, and it was an experience we won't forget! The package also included snorkeling at the Jungle Tour, and the total cost came to just under $400 USD - well worth every penny. Pre-Dive Preparation As first-time divers, we were required to take a 40-minute pool class to familiarize ourselves with the gear and learn essential hand signals for underwater communication. The training was effective and set us up for a successful open-water dive the following day. Dive Day On the day of the dive, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that all the other tourists in our group had scuba certifications or were getting certified that day. Even though we were the only ones without certification, our group leader was incredibly patient and made sure we were comfortable and safe throughout the adventure. Underwater Wonders Diving in MUSA is like entering a surreal underwater art gallery. The sculptures are fascinating, and the aquatic life around them is abundant. Our group leader pointed out various species of fish, enhancing our underwater experience. Photos & Videos For an additional $70 USD, we received a package of photos and videos capturing our dive. Though a bit on the pricey side, the visual keepsakes are a wonderful memento of our first dive. Final Thoughts Whether you're a seasoned diver or a newbie like us, MUSA through Aquaworld offers an unforgettable experience. The staff is professional, the gear is top-notch, and the underwater sights are mesmerizing. We had an amazing time and highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking for a unique underwater adventure. Overall, a five-star experience that we would love to do again!

Playa Tortugas is a small but family-friendly beach with white sand and calm waters, making it perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and paragliding. Located at the north end of the Hotel Zone in Cancun, it offers amenities such as restaurants, souvenir shops, and bathrooms. As one of the boarding spots for the Isla Mujeres ferry, Playa Tortugas can get crowded during peak times and weekends.
Super nice beach we walked all the way down to the grocery store select though about an hour walk from Playa tortugas also you can get the ferry to Isla Mujeres and catamaran tours for 55 US plus you gotta pay 20 US when you talk on the island. Enjoy the little shops here a little expensive cheaper downtown at Walmart to buy your gifts hats and stuff half the price in Walmart.

Upon descent, a gentle splash welcomes them back into the water.
This is a MUST-DO if you go to Cancun. Me (a 57 year old grandma) and my adult kids had an absolutely phenomenal time doing the flyboard (yes me too) and the jet skis. My son and daughter FLEW! The place was a bit hard to find since it’s in the back of the sopping center; just head toward the sea. We Had a great time here, we had 2 activities scheduled back to back. We toured on the small boat for about 90min and stop somewhere were we went into the water to swim for a while then came back. The guide was nice but I felt that from time to time he was going to fast. For many, it’s maybe the first time driving boat so I’d presume he will be more understanding and not drive that fast. Beside that everything was explained to use prior to using the boat and the team was nice to us. Second activity was the speed boat, fun and shorter activity. Overall we had fun that day, I’ll definitely recommend it.

Awesome experience and a great crew. A little difficult to find the check in desk and we were a little late. Chichen Itza Park is a must-visit destination near Cancun, known for its ancient Mayan ruins and rich cultural heritage. As one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, it offers awe-inspiring experiences that showcase the city's historical significance. Visitors can also explore Tulum, an impressive Mayan city located by the sea with stunning beaches. Chichen Itza Park provides a unique opportunity to immerse in different periods and cultures, making it a top attraction in Cancun.
One of the modern world wonders lived up to the expectation. The day was hot but we enjoyed every bit of the visit. It had a lot of open areas for pictures and the clapping experience reminded me of something similar in Golconda fort in India. Historical significance of the place adds to the charm and the vendors selling souvenir need to be haggled with for a good discount. We ended up paying similar to what we would pay at bigger supermarkets but it felt great to haggle a bit and still pay them good.

We went on a tour through TUI exclusive to Chichen Itza. If you visited Mexico through TUI this is worth doing as you arrive at the park before it opens so it’s not as crowded and the sun isn’t beaming yet. We had a lovely tour guide. Very impressed how well they have preserved the historical land. Still ever finding more ruins. Great to learn about the Mayans. Souvenirs every where but also a bit too much sometimes.

Cancun Riviera Maya is a vibrant destination offering a mix of cultural experiences and natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy the world-famous aerial acrobatics of Cirque du Soleil JOYA, with a Mexican twist, along with pre-show treats and champagne. The 90-mile coastline provides endless opportunities for activities such as scuba diving, shopping, visiting ruins, and enjoying local cuisine. Eco-parks like Xcaret and Xel-Ha offer insights into Mexico's nature and culture.
This was my first time coming to Casa Maya Hotel. If you are looking for the total package deal for a hotel here it is. My room was absolutely gorgeous, it looked more like a one bedroom condo with a balcony. The Swimming pool and the jacuzzi was fantastic and you are literally a couple walks to the beach so you don't have to worry about going out of your way to go to the beach. The Staffing we're friendly and attentive. I will definitely be coming back to this Hotel in the upcoming future.

This tour was by far the best tour experience I’ve ever had. I went on the Mayan tour, where we went to Chichen Itzá, Cenote, and a Mayan village. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and down to earth, the bus was comfy and they picked us up and dropped us off from/at our hotels. The tour guides also really cared about us, they warned us about vendors at Chichen Itzá, told us where the restrooms were so we wouldn’t have to pay, and had a refreshment service for us. They also told us when to put our sunscreen on so we wouldn’t get burnt to a crisp. There was also a free buffet (all you can eat), drinks at the buffet (which you had to pay for), and beautiful souvenirs. My favorite souvenirs, however, was the bottle of Mayan alcohol and the Mayan horoscope/birth chart. (These cost money but I highly HIGHLY recommend buying them. My only issue was with the timing. They gave us two hours at the buffet and at Chichén Itzá, but 1 hour at Cenote and 25 minutes at the Mayan village. I personally would’ve preferred if we had more time at Cenote as it was GORGEOUS. Overall, I highly HIGHLY recommend this tour. I learned so much and had the best day I’ve had my entire vacation.

The half-day catamaran cruise from Cancun to Isla Mujeres includes hotel pick-up, transportation to the marina, sailing, a delicious lunch, refreshing cocktails, swimming opportunities, and exploration time on the beautiful island.
We didn’t want to leave too far from our resort in our last day. We were sold this experience by a BD Experience person at our hotel. We ended up doing the sunset sail. We had a lot of fun. Our group was fairly small, I think we had 16 people in total. Martin was wonderful and the rest of the crew were also great. The waters were a little rough but it was a lot of fun. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing way to spend some time in the waters.

Great experience! Snorkeling, swimming, jumping off the boat (optional..lol), meeting lots of new people, shopping on Isla Mujeres and the best crew. The guide Miguel was absolutely amazing because he is not your typical guide. Miguel and the crew make it fun and entertaining! Love how they knew when to be serious and help keep everyone safe. Everyone should ask for him and his crew. Some things were really breathtaking.

Isla Mujeres was an unforgettable experience for our family! 🌴 This adventure included an incredible catamaran ride and a fantastic host from Cancun Adventures who made the trip even more special. We swam with sharks, explored the island’s vibrant sights, and soaked in the beauty of this tropical paradise. Even without seafood, we found plenty of delicious local dishes to enjoy. The crystal-clear waters, stunning beaches, and welcoming atmosphere made it a journey to remember. Highly recommend for anyone seeking excitement and relaxation! Thanks Vancity Adventure 🦈⛵✨

Did the snorkeling and Isla Mujeres experience. The snorkeling was a little intense with the heavy current but my wife loved it! The crew on boat #7 were awesome and kept the drinks flowing!

Adults only sailing day trip to Isla Mujeres runs rain or shine. The crew was amazing and despite the weather both being in our favor they did an excellent job making the sailing portion fun. We enjoyed walking around the island and stopped for a brief lunch before heading back. The central shop area is very touristy with many of the same or similar shops; we chose to avoid these but still had a great time on the island.

Did two different tours with them 1. Taco Tour - This was way better than I thought it was going to be Carlitos was a wonderful guide. A little bit of history of Cancun's taco scene and gave a good understanding of the taco spots we went to and the story behind the foods we were eating. 2. Catamaran to Isla Mujeres - The boat was nice and big and the tour guide, Antonio, was wonderful.

We had a corporate one day Chichen Itza + cenote tour with them from Tulum. Our guide Lalo was great in building special connection with us all, making the experience smooth, fun and memorable! He’s super knowledgeable and creative and friendly. Also our driver Mano very safely drove us. Much recommended.

We had a great experience going to Isla Mujeres. Catamarans were super clean, the crew was professional, fun loving and super caring. Kids swam and snorkeled in the ocean, saw some cool reefs. Amazing photos from the trip. Lunch was great. We rented a golf cart in the island and it was fun crisscrossing the island taking in the sights including the maya ruins in Punta Sur. Brown Sugar was our skipper and he was fantastic, and we highly recommend this company.

Parasail Cancun, located in the Hotel Zone, offers guests a thrilling sky ride with stunning views of the beach and surrounding areas. The experienced staff provides safety instructions and allows solo or group parasailing. Friendly guides ensure a fun and safe experience, providing walkie-talkies for communication during the 12-minute glide through the sky. Guests can enjoy breathtaking sights of Isla Mujeres and Nichupte Lagoon while feeling in control of their flight.
Amazing experience. All five of our family enjoyed the parasailing experience. We parasailed in two groups, one with two people and a second with three people. My wife is apprehensive about these types of activites but loved every minute. Awesome views and amazing and funny staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We splurged for the pictures as well. They did a great job in capturing the memories. Pancho and Juan did an amazing job in making us feel at ease and have a great time. We were located at the Hard Rock Cancun hotel.

Saw this in front of our hotel area so decided to try it. Omg we had a blast, it was fun and when you're up there it's like forever LOL. But it's an unforgettable experience and view that makes it worth it

Highly recommend for anybody looking for an activity to do that’s safe and off the main strip. We did have to reschedule twice but this was due to weather, so we appreciate them keeping our safety in mind. They suggested an earlier time during the day to avoid another reschedule and it worked out perfectly. Definitely remember to take your motion sickness medicine before this!

We did this review as part of the Cancun City Pass and it did not disappoint. We did the reef, shipwreck and turtle snorkelling and the whole day was easy and enjoyable. They give you time to practice snorkelling in the water before going out in the boat. You only go about half a mile out so you feel safe at all times. The shipwreck is really interesting and you can expect to see lots of tropical fish. Our guide, Monica was excellent and communicated well to us throughout the excursion, keeping us updated and in excited spirits. We saw not one, but two turtles and she was very quick at spotting them which was fab. The photography is quite expensive to buy (I can't remember exactly but I want to say around $45) but it is VERY worth it, the photos are great and you end up with loads of yourself as well as all the fish and creatures you saw during your dive. I would say to not be shy with the photographer, as the pictures are so worth it at the end and are really special to take away. After the turtle snorkelling, they take you to a cenote in the sea which you can swim down into if you're brave enough. There is free water on the boat, and good (very clean) washing facilities as well as a shop. We had hotel transfers and I would recommend this as I don't believe the harbour to be a walking distance from any bus stops. Lockers require a refundable deposit, and there is a harbour fee of $10 per person. I would 10000% recommend, Monica was just lovely and a big thanks to Eduardo and our photographer also.

Beautiful experience. At no point did I feel unsafe. You take a water taxi out to the boat that has the parasail. If there's another party already parasailing you may have a little bit of a wait. But it's a beautiful and relaxing wait. The ride can be a little discomforting on the tush while in the air, but it's well worth it. You're up for about 10 mins until they reel you in for a soft landing. I docked two star because we purchased a photo/video package that we were supposed to receive the following morning and it's been a few days now and still nothing.

I have mixed feelings about this company. First, they were not where they said they would be at the time they said they would be there. In fact, they were about an hour late to a location that was never told to us. We had to find out how to get to them on our own, no one ever arrived to greet us at the location we were told originally. Second, the driver of the boat (the one who takes you to the parasailing boat) insisted on talking badly about our President. You should NEVER talk negatively about each others countries especially when it's a mother and daughter out in the middle of the ocean. That made us feel VERY UNSAFE. Third, the company wants $60 for pictures of your experience. Pretty steep prices. Thankfully, once we were on the parasailing boat everything went smooth. #LOCALGUIDES Check out the pictures I keep trying to post and you can see for yourself I have the correct company. Reservations were not made under my name.

Embark on the Dancer Cruise Cancun, a catamaran adventure that offers an array of activities for a memorable day at sea. This cruise promises snorkeling at Meco Reef, where you can explore vibrant coral and marine life. Additionally, enjoy stops for water activities like diving and sliding off the boat before reaching Isla Mujeres to relax on its scenic beaches or explore local shops.
We had a blast. Amazing food, great staff, nice drinks! It was so fun, I recommend it to everybody ❤️ only thing I could complain about is that it wasn’t long enough! But I guess time flies when you have fun. Great ship with a lot of activities and fantastic music. Perfect for couples. I recommend booking through social media they have $20 discount

I went on the Dancer Cruise in Cancun with my two kids 30 & 19, and overall, we had a great time! The boat wasn’t crowded, which didn’t quite give off that lively party cruise vibe—but we still made the best of it. While the music could’ve been better, we brought our own energy and made it fun! The real highlight was the stunning views and the stop at Isla Mujeres—absolutely beautiful and totally worth it. The staff were GREAT. A fun and chill experience for families of all ages including kids or groups looking to explore the water and take in some unforgettable scenery.

This was by far the best thing I’ve ever spent money on I will definitely go back!! This was an all inclusive party boat cruise to isla mujeres it included open bar unlimited drinks breakfast AND lunch + snorkeling. my husband and I went on a Sunday it started at 10 in the morning until 5pm. The staff started off with serving breakfast then they put on a dance show and served us drinks snorkeling was next we didn’t see many fish and there were other groups from different boats all in the same area snorkeling so there were many people in one area in the water I guess that’s why we weren’t able to see that many fish I didn’t mind since I had already gone snorkeling the year before on a different excursion. The water was clear blue and was very relaxing there was also an underwater museum that was pretty cool. After we did some dancing and drinking then they stopped the boat for about half an hour and open up a water slide and diving board for us to use that was my favourite part it was so much fun + the weather was great hot and sunny perfect for this activity. We had lunch after this and they served us beef strips with rice and salad it was delicious then we stopped at isla mujeres and we were able to have an open bar + pool + plus lounge and enjoy the beach. After that we went to the centre of isla mujeres for an hour or so to do shopping/go to the beach. On our way back to Cancun we partied and drank! The staff had us dancing to different songs and gave us performances! Price was $275 CAD for 2 adults. Another thing, there is no pick up or drop off from hotel you have to meet them where the marina is at playa Linda. Thankfully it was only a 5min drive from us!

We were very disappointed with this cruise experience. Upon boarding, the food was quickly consumed by a large group, leaving little to no options for the rest of the guests. The onboard music selection was Punjabi... not to our taste and didn’t reflect the local culture we were expecting in Cancun. We booked a two-hour guided golf cart tour of the island through Dancer, but it was cut down to just 30 minutes. This left us with over an hour and a half on the island with nothing to do. The swimming portion felt rushed and took place on an overcrowded reef shared with many other boats, which made it hard to enjoy. Additionally, the advertised private beach swim never happened. While the kids did enjoy the onboard slide, it was only available for about 20 minutes. Overall, this was the most disappointing excursion we’ve done. I would not recommend this cruise to others.

The boat and staff were great. The lunch was one of the best meals we had while in Cancun. This is a very fun day trip if you're looking to do a lot without breaking the bank. Very reasonable prices for an all inclusive day trip. The only reason for not giving 5 stars: The snorkeling was good, just a little crowded for my taste and the golf cart trip on Isla Mujeres was a bit short, but you do get to cover quite a bit of the island I the hour you are in the golf cart.
Hoyet M — Google review
I went on the Dancer Cruise, July 26, 2025. The cruise was fun. It says it's handicapped accessible. It is not. I say this because when we were to get back on the boat when it stopped at Isla Mujeres, we needed to use a water taxi. We took the water taxi to the Dancer Cruise boat and at the end of the cruise, we had to take a water taxi from the cruise boat to the pier. Those water taxis are not handicapped accessible. If you are a person like myself who has problems with your knees, this is not the excursion for you. The crew was very helpful in assisting me with transporting from the water taxis to the boat. I did not feel comfortable with this aspect of the cruise. Had I known this would have happened, I would have never attended this experience. I would have appreciated full disclosure of what to expect from this excursion so I could have made a comfortable choice for myself.

Do not use this company. I booked my clients with this company for a private catamaran and transfers for 33 guests. They had no problem taking the money $4430.00. They cancelled one day before the excursion and said it was due to mechanical failure. No else was comparable for the group. I promptly asked for a refund, it has been excuse after excuse. The money was refunded but can't provide the documentation showing a refund. Ignoring the WhatsApp texts...I filed a dispute with PayPal and my bank and escalated it. Use at your own risk, there are more reputable vendors to use.

Lots of fun, music, free drinks all the way. The staff is very playful, it's a boat for all the ages. DJ plays good hits. The food they serve is good and many variety (breakfast and lunch). I would recommend you anyone. Also I would do it again if I am back in Cancun!!!

Isla Blanca, located about 30 minutes north of Cancun, offers a serene escape from the bustling beaches of the Hotel Zone. This remote peninsula is characterized by its pristine sandy shores and the picturesque Chacmuchuk Lagoon. Accessible by car, Isla Blanca provides a tranquil setting with unspoiled beaches and shallow saltwater lagoons, making it an ideal destination for kite-surfing.
Amazing place but if you take a longer walk from the last parking, you can find a shaded old hut with palms around and total privacy. We were alone like robinson cruzoe 🤣

It is a beautiful remote area with lagoon on one side and ocean on the other. Two major problems one the road to get there is horrible, do not drive after dark. Number 2 and probably the most concerning is the narcos and thugs trying to extort money from you. They tried to get $1000 pesos for taking pictures. Doesn't feel safe there now. Use caution when going go in a group stay together.

If you're a water sports enthusiast, A' HA' Scuba Diving in Cancun is the perfect destination for your next adventure. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced diver, this company offers exceptional scuba diving experiences that cater to all skill levels. Many first-time divers have shared their excitement about the supportive instructors like Marin and Lorena, who ensure you feel comfortable and confident before plunging into the ocean's depths.
We had the best time doing the beginners dive today! I highly recommend! My boyfriend and I have never scuba dived before; but, Marin was great at explaining everything and making sure we were comfortable before heading out into the ocean. Lorena was our guide for the 2 dives and she was also amazing. I was a little nervous but Marin and Lorena made me feel at ease. All nerves went away the second we made our first descent. Don’t hesitate to book! I would tell all my friends and family to try this excursion. Honestly so amazing! Lorena also got amazing pictures and videos of us- definitely worth it!

I had my first dive with my girlfriend and Marin was our instructor From the booking process until the end of the dive, the organization handled us very well Also Marin was very reassuring which was an awesome plus for our first dive ! The only improvement I see, is related to the release forms to be signed in the day of the dive. I believe the form should be available online as in case you disagree, no refund is made I understand the purpose of the form, and they are in my opinion needed, however more transparency should be made before payment

A'HA Scuba Diving was amazing! We have never been scuba diving before and we were a bit nervous but Lorena was an incredible instructor. She explained everything so well and made us feel very comfortable. From the lessons in the pool to diving in the ocean, Lorena and her captain made sure that everyone was ready and properly prepared. This was such a great introduction to diving and we are hooked! We cannot wait to dive with Lorena again!!! Thank you so much for the great experience!

My daughter (15) and I signed up with A’ Ha’ for our first diving experience, to get our SDI Open Water certification while on vacation in Cancun. We didn’t know exactly what to expect, but Timoteo and Carolina were absolutely amazing to work with! They supported us for two months before the trip as we worked on the online course and exam, and then as we arrived in Cancun with answering all of our questions. Their location is really easy to get to via public busses or Ubers, and after finishing the skills testing in the pool you just walk a few short steps to board the boat. During the course it was clear how much the ocean, reefs and diving mean to both of them, we loved practicing our Spanish with them and they both spoke great English also. They were very patient with us and made sure we felt safe and confident at every step of the process. I had a small personal issue during the course and they went above and beyond to help me work around it and stay on pace to complete the requirements and obtain my certification. During our live dives with Timoteo we saw hundreds of fish, nurse sharks, crabs, lobsters, rays, sea turtles and eels, so much life under the ocean around the beautiful reefs. The equipment was all clean, sized correctly for us and plenty of spares in case any issues came up. In the end, we could not have asked for more, Timoteo and Carolina were just THE BEST and we can’t wait to return and dive with them again soon.

This is the BEST diving company for new divers. Our instructor Marin was fantastic and very knowledgeable and friendly. He explained all of the ins and outs of the scuba equipment, including how to handle emergencies. We felt very confident in his instruction and guidance. But everything went, well... Swimmingly And we saw many beautiful undersea creatures and coral formations. Bring the $80 for the picture and video package, it is worth it a thousand times over and we ended up with some amazing shots of our adventure. The discover scuba package comes with two 45 minute dives and an hour and a half of theory and pool practice in order to familiarize yourself with the equipment. I highly recommend this for anyone who is visiting and is not scuba certified, Marin will explain everything and is very easy to understand as English is his second language .

Fantastic day trip from Cancun to Cozumel-2 tank dive with Lorena was amazing!! The trip was organized, communicated well and the day of was a stunning adventure. Lorena is full of joy and light and it radiates. We loved having a personal dive day for just the 2 of us. We shared a boat with other divers, but were able to dive our own plan with her. She was thoughtful and patient, and clearly loves what she does, oh and takes amazing pictures too!! The pic/vid package is totally worth it!! We will be back!! Thank you Lorena for a memorable day!!
Ashely J — Google review
My siblings and I did a night dive and it was amazing. It was one of our first dives after certification so we were a little nervous, but everyone was very kind and helpful. They offered two sites and explained the level of difficulty for both so that we could choose what we were comfortable with. We were with a small group (5 divers + dive master) but were told it is often more people, so I think we just got lucky. I had a great time, and even the divers in our group with decades of experience said they saw new animals. The only thing I will note is that if you have wide feet, you may prefer to bring your own fins. The length is not adjustable, and they run a bit narrow. Not a major issue, still had a very comfortable and safe dive.
Drew A — Google review
TLDR: just come here and do scuba diving. You will feel safe and accomplished. Our instructor Marin is the best. The course before the actual diving is very detailed. He explain carefully and checked we understand everything. We took ~ an hour to practice at the pool to get used to all the techniques. He calmed us down before going down to the water. Down there he constantly checking if we are okay to ensure our safety. We made some mistakes but Marin helped us get through them. In the end we were able to finish both of the spots. We bought the photo package and Marin also helped us taking some awesome photos. 100% legit place for scuba diving beginners. Definitely recommend you coming over.

If you're seeking an unforgettable adventure, look no further than Cancun Whale Shark Tours! This incredible experience allows you to swim alongside the gentle giants of the ocean in their natural habitat. The guides are exceptional, ensuring that even those who may feel apprehensive—like children—are comfortable and ready to dive in. You'll have multiple opportunities to swim with these magnificent creatures while enjoying the stunning blue waters of Mexico.
The whole experience was amazing. The air conditioned van picked us up and then to the dock for wet-suits. I love that it is a small group you travel with. We headed out to sea about 40 miles searching for whale sharks. They use GPS to find them. I was afraid we wouldn't find them but once we did we had be ready because the Whale Sharks are busy swimming and eating. They swim fast. The crew helped every step of the way. Actually they provided exceptional customer care. I felt a little guilt because I need a little extra help and it was no problem to them. SWIMMING with Whale Sharks was SPECTACULAR and Exhilarating. I would want to do it again. Thank you for such an amazing time. Photos of my husband and I. Next time I would pose for the camera better :) but it in ocean like this your just trying to survive. Take Dramamine.

We had a great tour with the Cancun Whale Shark Tours! There were whale sharks everywhere and our guides did a great job getting us close and having a bucket list experience. They also recorded the experience for us and let everyone split the costs of the video rather than have each party pay full price like the other tours. After we were done with the whale sharks, we headed over to Isla Mujeres for a nice lunch. Oh and they picked every one up and dropped them off at their hotels/resorts. I would recommend them and would do it again when we visit next time.

Would have been cool but we didn’t see any whale sharks, 3 hour boat ride in very choppy waters to get there and 2 of us got sick. They had a guy out there taking pictures but he only took like 9 and tried to charge us 30 US dollars for them! They did feed us food after but just beware that you might not see any whale sharks.
Samantha L — Google review
The seasonal whale shark your we went in was nice. We saw several whales up close and personal and got great go pro video. Didn't look at what the guide shot, the guide was very nice though, as to be expected in Mexico service was great. The down side of this is it is a long boat ride in a not so comfortable boat, which is restricted by law on size so as to protect the whales and limit access, 2 snorkelers at a time only. So lots of people get seasick getting there.
P.S. A — Google review
We just did the Whale Shark excursion. It was amazing!!! The van and the boat was limited to a reduced number of passengers. Our temperatures had to be checked before we got on the bus each time. Masks had to be worn until we got out on the water. We ate on Isla Mujeres. We wore masks at all times on the island with the exception of when we were eating. We saw a ton of whale sharks!! Definitely worth it. They are really spectacular creatures!
Ronda L — Google review
The overall experience was amazing. We went with my 7 year old who was not very comfortable to jump in the water with sharks. They talked to her and made her so comfortable that she went ahead and swam with the guide. And the overall experience of seeing these gentle giants up close is mesmerizing. Each of us got a chance to go it twice and swim as long as you want with the whale sharks. Just be aware that it's way farthet in the ocean so you spend around an hour to reach and same time to get back. And the ocean will be choppy even in a call day. You will feel it most when you are just sitting in the boat waiting for your turn to jump. But take meds for see sickness and try it out, it's worth doing.

Amazing tour. Since there were many boats that day, and only one whale shark our captain allowed us to return 3 times to see the whale shark. Really worth it. One of the best experiences

Casino Macao is a popular gambling spot in Cancun, offering a variety of entertainment options. The casino features blackjack tables and numerous slot machines, as well as a restaurant serving delicious food. Visitors praise the friendly staff who are always ready to assist with any questions. The casino provides a card for playing on the machines and offers games like craps and cards. While some find the table games pricey compared to the slots, others appreciate the convenience of having a casino within a shopping mall.
I recently visited this casino and had a great time. Although it's smaller compared to those in the US, it offers a fun atmosphere. However, I did notice a few drawbacks. The commission fees for refilling the card or cashing out are quite high, and they don't offer any complimentary services—drinks are on you regardless of how much you spend. The staff, particularly the girls and waiters, were very nice and attentive. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the cash desk personnel, who were not very welcoming and didn't seem to mind making patrons wait. Also, be aware that the machines operate in Mexican pesos, which is fine, but don't get confused thinking you've won thousands of dollars. Overall, it's a nice place to visit.
Natalia S — Google review
The casino is small but new with lots of floor games where most of the activity happens. There are some nice Vegas-style slot machines with an Asian theme (Macau). Be sure to bring pesos in advance to play because the casino’s exchange rate was 16 pesos to 1 dollar when the real rate was 19.5 pesos to the 1!

Take care of surroundings. Person in my party robbed at gamimg table of their chips ,when leaning over to place a bet. Asked for tape to be reviewed, but wasnt honored with reimbursement. I recieved a reply from thr establishment of being sorry but the issue wasnt addressed when brought to the attention of the black coat manager. Although the dealor seemed to support the claim, video was reviewed without the person in attendance and the balck coat lied and said pwraon spent the chips. The policies are also shiesty, as one has to play either table or slots , requiring seperate registration and fee.

I love this little casino. It's super nice inside. The staff for the most part, were friendly. Give your two bartenders that worked day shift on 4/26 a raise! I hate I didn't catch their names but they made me the best blackberry smash I've tasted. Yes... it's a full bar inside too along with sofas to lounge and watch the game. I've been in Mexico for 8 days and I've gone twice. 👍🏽👍🏽 The reviews about money conversion issues and payouts didn't apply during my visit. I was paid correctly.

My machine showed me I won a little over 2000 pesos and I cashed out and they gave me 100 pesos. I tried to ask the cashier and she said it was correct! How do you win 2000, which it showed on the screen I had $108 US dollars. Definitely adds up to way more than 100 pesos! Don't play here at all!

A small but classy casino, great drinks, and for a my husband who can't walk away from the Texas Hold'em table, a great exchange rate. We gambled a few hours for wayyyyy less than it would've cost in the states. One damper was the cigars being enjoyed at the next table over, but what are ya gonna do?

My wife and I enjoyed the experience. No problem changing dollars to pacoes. Not bad exchange rate given. You just have to realize what your betting in pacoes . The slots were generous to us that day .😀💰

The table ( roulette) Was very bad experience. They are not professional and The cam not take The situations , so if you have any question or dubt about change that They made, you cannot have The prouve. It's without trust you cannot play. I suggest to escape from this place.

Do not waste your time there ! They dont accept foreign cards, they take taxes on every recharge (8 pesos), they promise on first time double credit and they won’t do it, alcohol is mixed with water.

Been there twice..first time was a learning experience…machines don’t take cash money..buy a card at the cashier and insert the card to play..won a few pesos my first visit then when cashing out I was shorted…I caught the guy and he made it right…second time I went, bought a card and inserted it in 3 different machines and it did not work so I cashed it out and never made a bet or spin…not a well run place..wont bother again.

(Translated by Google) Visiting the Royal Yak casino, I am a fan of the machines and I needed to distract myself, due to the pandemic I had not visited the casinos, my surprise was that when visiting this place I realized that it is very well sanitized, they are frequently disinfecting, the machines are arranged in a way that you can keep your distance, the person brings their mask and they also bring masks, they are very careful that customers use their mask, they have all the safety measures covid, I congratulate the staff for their great work in taking care of themselves and others. Very updated machines.
