Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, located just north of Brisbane's CBD, is the world's largest koala sanctuary and a haven for Australian native wildlife. Visitors can watch koalas lounging in gumtrees, hand-feed kangaroos, and observe endangered species like the cassowary. The sanctuary offers keeper talks throughout the day and opportunities to learn about various Aussie wildlife while exploring at your own pace.
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is truly one of Brisbane’s most special attractions and a must-visit for anyone who loves animals. From the moment you walk in, the natural bushland setting makes you feel close to wildlife in a peaceful environment. The highlight, of course, is the koalas—you can see them up close, learn about their habits, and even have the chance to gently hold one for a photo, which is an unforgettable experience. Beyond koalas, the sanctuary offers so much more. You can hand-feed kangaroos in a large open field, watch platypuses swimming, and see a variety of native birds, reptiles, and farm animals. The daily keeper talks and shows are both fun and educational, making it a great place for families and kids to learn about Australia’s unique wildlife. The staff are friendly and clearly passionate about animal care and conservation, which adds to the overall experience. The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, with plenty of shaded areas to rest. There’s also a nice café with good food and drinks. Overall, Lone Pine is not just a sanctuary but a place where you truly connect with nature. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!

Easy to reach using private or public transport from the QBD. The venue hosts different species not just koalas but also Kangaroos, crocodiles, reptiles, birds. For the welfare of animals koalas cannot be hugged but guests can pay more to see them closer and cuddle them with the supervision of staff. Everybody working seemed professional and committed to preserve the welfare of the animals. A bit pricy, but considering what you get it is still worth a visit.
Riccardo D — Google review
A must-visit in Brisbane! Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is an amazing experience where you can get up close with koalas, kangaroos, and so many native Australian animals. The park is well-maintained, staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the animals are clearly well cared for. Loved the chance to see a koala up close and feed the kangaroos such a memorable experience for locals and visitors alike!
Kuan-Yu C — Google review
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is a must-visit considering it's status as the world's first, oldest, and largest koala sanctuary in the world. It was truly a special experience seeing and interacting with the koalas and kangaroos up close especially in the huge free-roam area where the kangaroos were. The park is very well-maintained, with a number of other sections with a variety of other insects and animals. Definitely worth a visit if ever in Brisbane!
Cheryl T — Google review
Is a fantastic place to visit, you can be with the Kanguru and give them a special food. if you pay a little more you can touch the koala for some minutes and take pretty nice pictures. The sanctuary space is beautiful with a very good structure, with birds, crocodile and more.
Diego C — Google review
Amazing place to visit if you want to get up close and personal with Australia's (more friendly) wildlife. Got to feed Wallabies and kangaroos and saw loads more as well. Visited via the river cruise from the city and that was a great way to do it. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Brisbane.
Ben J — Google review
Fantastic for the whole family. The owl encounter far exceeded my expectations. Leanne and the team have so much knowledge and really know how to respect the animals and also have them guided over in a way that they seemed to be genuinely having fun. Beautiful lay out, and the Koalas were so very special.
Joy J — Google review
Excellent experience kangaroos can be fed. The Tasmanian Devil looks soft but look at those jaws and teeth. Koala are always good to watch. So is the Platypus we saw a central python as well as all the other birds and animals. Well worth the entry fee. You may want to get there early before the crowds come in we went on a week day and by lunch time there were people everywhere

Eat Street Northshore is a vibrant venue located at a former container wharf in Brisbane. It was created by four well-known personalities and features 80 colorful shipping containers offering a variety of international street food, cocktails, arts and crafts, and clothing. The market comes alive on Friday and Saturday nights with fairy lights illuminating alleyways filled with global cuisine, pop-up bars, and live music. Visitors can indulge in Japanese pizza, local seafood, wood-fired pizza, Korean fusion burgers, and more.
We absolutely loved it here! There were so many food options to choose from, and the atmosphere was incredible. The whole crowd felt included at each stage — everyone was singing, dancing, and laughing together. Such a fun experience, and we’ll definitely be back every time we’re in Brisbane!
Chantelle C — Google review
Dinner at the North Shore Eat Street was fantastic. I was so glad I could get there by ferry. I was able to enjoy the beautiful sights of Brisbane before the ferry arrived at the terminal. The eatery had a wide selection of food stalls, offering everything from grills and fry-ups to bakeries, fresh seafood, and desserts. The prices were very reasonable. After my feast, I enjoyed walking around and taking in the surroundings. Different bands, musicians, and artists were performing on various stages, making it both fun and relaxing. Definitely worth a visit.

People go on about how great this place is. They are right. It's fantastic. Helping make it a great place is that the patrons just want a chill, good time. No drama, no idiots, just people having a great time. There are various security staff dotted around and each of them has been friendly and keeping an eye on things from a professional distance. The food prices are not at a discount rate but they are completely reasonable given the environment. Multiple areas of entertainment going on and there's absolutely something for almost everyone. I've been here a number of times and impressed on each visit. This place appears, from a customer's perspective to be well run. Huge admiration to all involved in making this a great venue. The caterers, the organisers, people running their businesses, the staff that are constantly cleaning up and with a smile on their face. Thank you all for giving up your own Friday nights and weekends to give us a great place to be.

Had a nice experience here! We took a pleasant ferry ride to get to Northshore, and waited for some time before the opening time (yeah we arrived too early). Paid $6 per person (cashless only!) and finally get in. I had a fun time making my own candle with my own preferred smell and colour! We had a good dinner and even a beautiful sunset when we get back! 🧡
Angeline S — Google review
The Eat Street Night Market is absolutely worth the entry fee — it’s well-organized, vibrant, and full of life! There’s food, drinks, and fun for everyone, making it a great spot for both adults and kids. The food selection is incredible, featuring cuisines from China, Japan, Hong Kong, the U.S., Greek, Turkey, Mexico, and more — the only challenge is saving enough room in your stomach! A truly impressive and unforgettable place to visit in Brisbane.
Annie L — Google review
It's something everyone should attend but it's not something you, or at least I, could attend often. It's extremely loud and densely populated and bright so it's a sensory nightmare if you are neurodivergent. The food is great but it's wildly expensive for what it is a lot of the time - my partner and I found ourselves spending $30 to get an item each from most vendors on top of the $6 entry. What it does well is nostalgia and variety - there's a lot of carnival food that will have you reminiscing of EKKA's past and give you the opportunity to try many new foods, a lot of which are featured on tiktoks. I don't think I'll go again any time soon but it was okay for an expensive night out.
Michael W — Google review
It’s great to have a variety of different cuisine from many different cultures, live on stage entertainment during my visit. I suggest, best to make a phone call first and find out what is on and if it’s fee or free entry at the gate to ensure a “no dissatisfaction” experience. Only 4 stars from for the time being since I have only been there twice and was nothing like as per advertised on the specific on those two days in a row. Good ratings of 4 I believe are still reasonable because, the place is quite neat and tidy, toilet facilities are well maintained, accessible for everyone 👍 wheelchair ♿️ food was great and affordable prices, lively atmosphere, great view alongside the Brisbane river, lots of parking 🅿️ on site (fees applies) but not sure if it’s only on specific occasion. Plenty of dining tables to choose from to relax while enjoying a good meal while music is playing. There are many stalls on site and game stations are also there for children and many other activities to keep them occupied. This facility are made and built with sea containers but don’t worry, it’s spacey, you’re only entering on a sea containers surroundings. This place by the way is only open on specific times and days so as I mentioned above,⬆️ call first to ensure a happy experience. 👍 What is nearby is: Blueys world Brisbane, ferry terminal, parks, little beach and many more attractions nearby other than the riverside walkway, there’s also a cafe restaurant right near the ferry terminal, public toilets is also at nearby park.
Catherine V — Google review
A joyful place to enjoy a variety of food and beverages with family and friends on a Friday night. On your way back to the city, it's also fun to take a ferry ride along the river from the nearby ferry stop to enjoy the beautiful Brisbane night view.

Gardens
Nestled in the heart of Brisbane, the City Botanic Gardens is a captivating botanical haven that offers a diverse range of plant life, tranquil ponds, and inviting picnic areas. This verdant oasis serves as a living museum of botanical collections and provides an idyllic escape from the urban hustle and bustle. Visitors can explore manicured lawns, riverside pathways shaded by majestic fig trees, and charming ponds inhabited by ducks.
Peaceful escape right in Brisbane’s city centre 🌿📸 City Botanic Gardens is one of those places that instantly slows you down. The mix of riverside views, tall palm avenues, and giant fig trees makes it super photogenic — especially around sunrise or sunset when the light hits the water. I love coming here for a quiet walk, a jog, or to just sit under the trees and watch the city go by. The pathways are well-maintained, and there are plenty of open lawns perfect for picnics. Don’t miss the mangrove boardwalk — it’s a hidden gem and great for nature shots. There’s also a small café near the entrance if you want coffee with a view, and QUT and the ferry terminal are just a short walk away, so it’s really easy to get here.
Ruchit P — Google review
Nice area for a walk right next to CBD although it did feel more like a park as opposed to a botanical garden. Lots of areas were also under maintenance or blocked out for improvements during our visit. The walking area next to the river is nice and calming, and overall the park in general does give you a little bit of that separation from city bustle. Public toilets available though I didn't go in to check condition. Free access.
Sventek — Google review
Located right in the heart of Brisbane, the Botanic Gardens feel like a completely different world — a peaceful retreat surrounded by lush greenery. Right beside the city’s skyscrapers, you can enjoy the striking contrast between nature and urban life. A pond with fountains, colorful flowers, and tropical plants welcome you, making every step along the paths soothing and refreshing✨ It’s perfect for a walk or picnic, and truly serves as an oasis in the middle of sightseeing. —A precious moment to take a deep breath and relax, right in the center of the city🪴
Ai W — Google review
We took a walk in the Botanic Gardens at dawn, and it was absolutely tranquil and beautiful. We watched the sunrise from the riverwalk before wandering into the garden. Even at dawn, the pathways were softly lit with ambient lights, creating a magical and peaceful atmosphere. A truly lovely experience!
H L — Google review
Beautiful location alongside the Brisbane River, a wonderful stroll will showcase the plants & flowers with plenty to see 👀 or just sit on the grounds taking in the greenscape with the cbd skyscrapers in parts being the backdrop. Well maintained & HUGE credit to all those who look after such relaxing & refreshing area's for one & all to admire .ideal for family picnics or just reading, weddings, along with riding, running or walking . Big Shout out to the cafe that is a lovely hidden treasure of a old cottage or caretakers home ? that caters for people wanting something to eat n drink.
Paul T — Google review
Beautiful space to relax and spend some time in admiring the native plants and many birds. You can walk down to the riverfront as well. It's a lovely, tranquil and well maintained park.
Babs M — Google review
One of the reasons I always admire Australia and New Zealand: spaces like the City Botanic Gardens. So beautifully maintained and preserved, it’s hard to believe you’re still in the middle of the city. Walking through the lush greenery is incredibly peaceful, and there’s something genuinely refreshing about being surrounded by nature like this.

Roma Street Parkland is a renowned and expansive park in Brisbane, offering contemporary display gardens, waterways, and an amphitheater. It's a horticultural gem and a welcoming community space with spectacular flower gardens, children's playgrounds, accessible facilities, lakes, cafes, and event hosting. Located in the heart of the city next to Roma Street train station, it provides a delightful haven for relaxation, picnics by the lake, wildlife spotting, and exploring newly refurbished playgrounds.
One of the most iconic park near Brisbane city centre! I always enjoy the beauty of nature decorated in vibrant flowers colours, melodious birds singing, massive green area to play, decent barbecue area to arrange parties, clean toilets, great stage area to practice dances. City council has taken their jobs seriously to manage and maintain their sophisticated garden area to attract more tourists.
Dhanashree K — Google review
It is peaceful, calm and not noticeable that other people are there. There is something to see and enjoy but it is the styling of the garden beds with colourful flowers that brings the whole display together. Congratulations to all concerned.

I really enjoyed my visit to Roma Street Parkland. It’s such a peaceful spot right in the middle of Brisbane — beautifully landscaped with colourful gardens, shady trees, and walking paths. Great place to unwind, have a picnic, or just enjoy the scenery. Everything was spotless and well cared for, and it’s super easy to get to from Roma Street Station. Definitely one of my favourite places in the city.
Gavin — Google review
Absolutely beautiful place to go! Bit of a hike to get to the nicer parts of the parkland but it’s definitely worth it. Loved to sit and watch all the lizards run around and chase each other. I look forward to coming back here again :)
Cyno — Google review
The best park I've seen in Australia. Compact, but diverse and spacious. Beautifully arranged, with incredible variety of plants, tasteful sections for practically everyone, from kids to seniors.

The Wheel of Brisbane is a must-visit iconic landmark offering breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the city. Rising 60 meters above the ground, visitors can enjoy enclosed gondolas that provide safety and comfort for up to 8 people. Whether it's during the day, at sunset, or at night, each ride includes an engaging audio tour of Brisbane's landscape.
Amazing experience!! I went on a weekend, yet it was very organised. Best time to get on between 5 and 6. One could see the buildings and whole of Brisbane city.

I've been in it a few times now. It's something my girls look forward to when in Brisbane, and we still purchase every time, our photo taken by staff prior entering to the cabin. Good memories.
Iris R — Google review
Really cool experience. Air conditioning was nice, view incredible. The only disappointment was not being warned about the protest that was scheduled at the same time at the base of the wheel. Unfortunately we could not hear one part of the audio tour.
Carli S — Google review
It comes with a novelty map so you can identify lots of places when your almost halfway up till almost halfway down.I believe you can almost see the Coast from it's peak during the day,but even know the night time is less to view,it makes up for it with all the city lights on display. If your lucky anuff to have a cabin on the wheel during NYE,or river fire, you will carry the best memories and pics you will have in many years.Go enjoy,it is worth every cent.I chose to take own pics,so i savef nearly $30 not getting picture supplied with ride.

Underwhelming experience, made sense why there was no queue and they weren't busy. $65 for a 10min ride for 2 adults and a child pay an additional $30 for the "souvenir photo' which was terrible quality (low resolution). Overall experience was not worth it.

Experience the thrill of walking across Brisbane's iconic Story Bridge with the Story Bridge Adventure Climb. This exhilarating activity offers panoramic views of the city and Brisbane River, making it a must-do for adventure seekers. In addition to the bridge walk, participants have the option to abseil 30 meters down one of the pylons for an added adrenaline rush.
We did the climb on June 29th, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The night view of the city was absolutely stunning—an unforgettable sight. Our guide, Sam, was fantastic. He and the entire team were professional, friendly, and made the whole climb feel easy, exciting, and informative. We were particularly impressed with the safety procedures and high-quality gear, which made everyone feel completely at ease throughout the experience. We also learned so much about the Bridge and Brisbane in general, which added real depth to the climb. Huge compliments to Sam and the whole team—great job! Highly recommended.

Jasper and Alison hosted the best story adventure bridge climb I’ve ever experienced. From start to finish, they made the entire journey so much fun, their energy and enthusiasm were contagious! The way they shared the history and fascinating stories along the way really brought the climb to life and made it so much more than just a scenic walk. They kept everyone engaged, entertained, and feeling safe throughout. The group photos were absolutely amazing, such a perfect way to capture the memories. If you’re looking for a fun, informative, and genuinely memorable experience, Jasper and Alison are the perfect hosts. Highly recommend this adventure! Thank you again guys !!

He answered all our questions and shared heaps of cool facts about the bridge and the city. The views at sunset were unreal and the whole experience was such a great way to see Brisbane from a new angle. Highly recommend! Would totally climb again (even just for the outfit! 😂)

Chap was an excellent climb lead! Fantastic stories, provided safety briefs efficiently and ensured all members of the group had a great time. The Halloween special with the stories was a highlight! Great photos too! Thank you Chap and the team!

Wow! What an experience we had. I took my 92 year old mum up on the bridge for a Twilight walk and our guide Issy was nothing but brilliant. We had such an amazing time and Issy made sure the whole group were comfortable and happy throughout the whole experience. We all sang ‘happy birthday’ to mum on top of the bridge and Issy made mum feel extra important and special for her birthday. Not only was Issy great, but all of the team working on the day were awesome and bent over backwards to make everybody comfortable and happy throughout - so thank you from the bottom of our hearts ♥️ You have an amazing crew and they all deserve credit for putting old time hospitality into all of our lives. Thanks team, keep up the awesome work xx

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-do, even for locals! I did the Story Bridge Climb with my mum (visiting from out of town) and Fau, and it was such a brilliant experience. The guides were great — funny, relaxed, and really knew their stuff. Mum was a bit nervous at first but ended up loving it once we reached the top. The sunset views over the river and city were unreal. I’ve lived in Brisbane for years, but seeing it from up there made me appreciate it all over again. Highly recommend it!

A great way to spend some time on a Saturday afternoon. Fortunately the weather cleared somewhat and Jasper the guide was excellent in all aspects of the climb. He emphasised safety and we felt confident with what was happening. He has a great knowledge of the history of the bridge and the geography of the surrounding areas. The actual climb up was about 23 minutes (from the safety gate to the selected peak) and we then had a good deal of time to take in the views and hear various stories and ask questions. Jasper took some good pictures of our group and we then descended at a comfortable pace. All up bridge time totalled about 56 minutes … the briefings etc take maybe another 45 minutes. A grand experience!

Hi Nick and Saskia, It’s Sasya here 😎 Thank you for making my first ever climbing bridge wonderfully fun. I had Nick as the guide; he was so much fun. He is a great storyteller, telling the group about the history of the Bridge and Brisbane in a fun, not boring kind of way. And the bonus is, his jokes are funny 😅 He also makes sure our safety is a priority. Thanks to Saskia as guest relations that provide such a good information and friendly too. 🤩

I turned up thinking I’d be herded into a tourist group (I’m a Brisbane local), but instead I was handed a kayak, signed a couple of forms, watched a quick video, and was soon paddling off on my own. It was a great way to take in the city at my own pace. The staff struck the right balance of being friendly, relaxed, and genuinely helpful. All of that without a single Gen Z stare. Am going back for sure.

What an awesome experience!! I didn’t think I’d see my wife come down to cliff. She was convinced she wouldn’t do it but Georgia our instructor was calm, reassuring and encouraging and had hold of the safety line. Wow, a daredevil in a dress. Thank you Georgia. Graham & Nicole

We were really looking forward to doing the sunset kayaking in Brisbane. Unfortunately the day we came there were high winds and a strong current. Lockers, waterproof camera cases (available to rent) and toilets were available to use. Raj, our instructor, was great. The briefing prior to kayaking told us all we needed to know to get on the water. It was a beautiful evening despite the wind and current, with Raj guiding us safely on the journey. Would definitely do this again, hopefully with less wind next time.

Specialty Museums
Nestled within Brisbane's City Hall, the Museum of Brisbane (MoB) is a free-to-visit art gallery and museum that showcases the city's history, culture, and contemporary art. Visitors can explore historical exhibits, including artifacts like convict leg irons and a 200-year-old telescope once owned by Sir Thomas Brisbane. The museum also offers free tours of the iconic City Hall clock tower.
The Queensland Museum in Brisbane is a fascinating destination that combines history, science, culture and interactive learning in one place. Located in the South Bank cultural precinct, it is easy to access and perfect for visitors of all ages. The museum features engaging permanent exhibitions as well as rotating special displays, so there is always something new to see. Inside, you can explore topics such as Queensland’s natural history, Indigenous culture, marine life, dinosaurs and modern science. Many exhibits are hands-on and educational, making it especially enjoyable for children and families. I have visited museums in multiple Australian cities, but this one stands out for its variety, presentation quality and the balance between learning and entertainment. The museum is clean, well-organised and free to enter, which makes it an excellent value. Staff members are friendly and helpful, and the layout is easy to navigate. There are also interactive zones, multimedia displays and live demonstrations that keep visitors engaged. What I love most is that the museum connects the past and present of Queensland in a meaningful way. It is not just a place to look at objects—it tells stories. Whether you enjoy history, science or culture, this museum offers a memorable and inspiring experience. Overall, Queensland Museum is one of the best museums in Australia and a must-visit when exploring Brisbane.

You definitely gonna need at least 2 hours there! I got there near closing time so didn’t get to see much. I was fascinated by one of the collections so spent 5 min reading and appreciating the art piece already. Staff were not rushing me to exist though. Located in the city center but it wasn’t crowded when I went. Free admission. Will definitely return.

My first to visiting the Museum of Brisbane and it was a lovely experience getting to see the FREE to enter 'Precious' exhibit, which was an awesome array of people collections from over the years. There were all sorts, tea tins, medicine boxes, shells, toys, glass, football memorabilia, axes. Really cool to get to walk through and explore the exhibit and I can't wait to see what they have on next.

It's a Brisbane city icon, the Clock Tower tour located a top of the tower, is particularly recommended. To access it, reserve your preferred visit time online in advance and once you arrive, you'll be able to tour in a small group with a guide starting at the Clock Tower Entry located in the level 3. The museum guide will also provide a brief overview of Brisbane's history and surrounding area, making it a great destination for families with children.

Museum of Brisbane is a gem right in the city center—beautifully designed, easy to access, and completely free to enter. The space itself is impressive, with lovely architecture that adds to the whole experience. The exhibitions are resourceful and engaging, offering a great mix of history, culture, and local stories. A perfect stop whether you’re exploring the city or just looking for something inspiring to do.

It a small interesting museum made by contribution from Australians from various diaspora (the first one I've seen that has Indian 'Golu' display). It is a good place to visit of you like peace and quiet or want to go on a Introvert dates. You can even take your family members along and spend time looking and discussing things. While looking at some historic Brisbane references. Not a Museum in a traditional sense, but one nonetheless. You can spend about an hour or so here, and it's best priced (Free!).

The best place to hold the Brisbane Comedy Festival. Great restaurant, great bar and fantastic venues. I just don't like the clipped together small seats they use. We have visited Brisbane Powerhouse quite a couple of times and recently came to know the history of it which is fascinating. Last week I visited the World Press Photography Exhibition which left me speechless about the level of nuisance we are in in the name of humankind which is setting back us an intelligent species. The ohotographies were so powerful and spoke a lot of stories about the conditions of the conflicts we are going through in the planet. Thanks team for bringing this up in the exhibition. Also it hosts a number of other exhibitions and music shows etc , it's really a powerhouse of cultural programs.

The Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) is a contemporary art museum located in a modern riverside building in Brisbane, Australia. Established in 2006 as an extension of the Queensland Art Gallery, GOMA has quickly gained recognition as one of the largest modern and contemporary art galleries in Australia.
Had the pleasure of visiting the Gallery of Modern Act this afternoon. The venue is outstanding and so well maintained. There are 4 levels of exhibitions and they are all modern and contemporary. It is appropriate because there are exhibitions that challenge modern ideas and social norms. Thank you to everyone who is involved in the management and services provided at the Gallery. If you haven't visited, do yourself a favour and come experience the excellence here.

The curators managed to take such a familiar fairytale and present it in a way that was fresh, imaginative, and deeply immersive. From the delicate costumes and sparkling gowns to the intricate set designs that re-created iconic moments, every corner of the exhibition invited you to pause, look closer, and get swept up in the magic. What I loved most was how it balanced nostalgia with creativity. The exhibition wasn’t just about retelling the fairytale—it explored how Cinderella has been reinterpreted in different cultures and across different mediums, from paintings and fashion to film and pop culture. Walking through, it felt both whimsical and thought-provoking, reminding me how stories we grow up with continue to evolve and inspire. If you’re in Brisbane, this exhibition is an absolute must-see, whether you’re a lover of art, fairytales, or just want to experience a touch of enchantment.

The Gallery of Modern Art offers a wonderful chance to see the world through the eyes of different artists — a perfect place to slow down and reflect on life. What touched me most was an artwork tracing a family tree that reminded us that, thousands of years ago, we were all connected as one big family. It made me wonder — why do we still create so many divisions between races today?

Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park, also known as River Terrace Park, is a picturesque riverside park in Brisbane offering a range of activities. Visitors can enjoy rock climbing on natural rock walls with stunning views of the city skyline. The park is an ideal spot for capturing beautiful sunsets behind the city, providing vibrant colors and silhouettes against the backdrop of Brisbane's Central Business District.
Kangaroo Point never disappoints. The views from the cliffs are absolutely stunning — a perfect blend of city skyline, river serenity, and natural beauty. Whether you're there for a morning jog, sunset walk, or a quiet moment of reflection, the atmosphere is peaceful and inspiring. A must-visit spot in Brisbane for both locals and visitors. Always clean, safe, and well-maintained. It's truly one of the city’s gems!

Beautiful spot for a stroll & picnic. Plenty of bench seats along the way, but we couldn't find tables. No matter, we enjoyed our lunch anyway! We found it difficult to access with our elderly friend, having to walk a loooooong way before we could find a ramp to walk up, but she made it. I'm sure there must be better access points, but we didn't have time to drive around & find out! Fabulous views across the river, looking at the city.
Nikki — Google review
One of the best spots in Brisbane to relax, walk, or just take in the city. The views across the river to the CBD are absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset when the light hits the skyline. It’s also a really versatile area — you’ll see people rock climbing, jogging, cycling, or simply enjoying the outdoors. At night the cliffs are beautifully lit and feel safe to stroll around. Parking can be a little limited during busy times, and it’s a popular spot on weekends, but it’s worth it for the atmosphere and the view. Overall, a must-visit whether you’re a local or just visiting Brisbane🫶🏾
Charlotte W — Google review
Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park is one of the most stunning and unique places in Brisbane. Located right beside the Brisbane River, this park offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline, Story Bridge and the water. I have visited many riverfront areas in Australia, but the view from this park is easily the best—especially during sunset and at night when the city lights up. The walking path along the river is clean, wide and perfect for jogging, cycling or a relaxing stroll. There are plenty of benches, picnic tables and BBQ areas, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a quiet moment. The famous red steel human sculptures add an artistic touch and make the walk even more memorable. One thing I loved is how peaceful yet lively the park feels. You’ll see locals exercising, tourists taking photos and even people rock climbing on the cliffs. The combination of nature, river, city views and activities makes this park truly special. Whether you come in the morning for fresh air or in the evening for the most beautiful sunset in Brisbane, Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park is absolutely a must-visit. If you want the best skyline view in the city, this is the place to go.

I visited Howard Smith Wharves on a rainy winter night, and the atmosphere was magical. Netherworld is a funky bar in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley that offers global fare and cocktails alongside a retro gaming experience. The venue features classic arcade games, pinball machines, and board games for patrons to enjoy while savoring vegan eats from the Hellmouth Diner. While the menu is predominantly vegan, non-vegan options are also available.
Great vegan-friendly pub with games and craft beer! Netherworld in Brisbane is an awesome spot for both vegans and meat-eaters (you can swap vegan patties for real meat). I had the vegan Burgatory burger—super tasty! The place has a fun retro vibe with lots of pinball and arcade machines in the back. Great for a chill night out. How it works: Self-service. Grab a menu from the bar, find a free table (first come, first served), and place your order at the bar. Drinks are listed on the greenboard, food and cocktails in the menu card. You’ll get a buzzer for food pickup (left side near the games). Free sauce options too! Mainly craft beers, but a couple of standard ones as well. Dress code: casual. Price: Around $76 for two burgers with sides and two pints. A visit is recommended!

This place is awesome! Great atmosphere, tons of games to choose from, and an excellent selection of beer. It’s the perfect spot to hang out with friends or unwind after a long day. My only wish is that they stayed open later! Defiantly coming back next time in Australia.

Amazing bar that has a variety of games so you'll always have activity when the conversation runs dry. Netherworld is a safe space for me to wear my alternative gear and get inspiration from others, but I really like how welcoming this bar is for every type of person, as long as you're nice. The drinks are usually great, but stay away from the mulled wine - $15 for half an enamel mug is pure robbery! We've only tried the chips here so far but would be interested in checking out the food menu next time.

Really cool spot, but it can get quite loud. The beer selections are wide and varied. The food was decent, but there was nothing to write home about. Service was excellent, the bartenders were on point all night.

Teagan — Google review
I really like Netherworld There’s a lot to do, and it’s all pretty fairly priced. At the moment, I’ve got to admit I’m a bit over bars that only serve boutique beers. If I’m getting a beer, I want it to taste like beer not like flowers raised on a mountain and taste-tested by goats. Thankfully, Netherworld gives you both options: the craft stuff for those who want it, and a good old straightforward beer for the rest of us. The staff are always friendly and easygoing. They do seem flat-out most of the time, so you might wait a little to get served but it is what it is. It’s definitely a trendy spot, the kind of place you go if you want to feel like one of the cool kids. (Sadly, I’m not one of them!) The artwork changes all the time, which keeps the vibe fresh. All in all, it’s a great place to hang out.

Lookouts
Mount Coot-Tha Summit Lookout offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. It is a popular spot to watch the sunset, with vibrant colors painting the sky as twilight approaches. The lookout is located near Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mount Coot-tha, a 138-acre subtropical conservatory featuring diverse native and exotic plants, including the largest collection of Australian rainforest trees in the world.
This place is absolutely incredible. It’s a recreational spot where you can literally see the entire city of Brisbane, and you truly need a whole day to take in all its beauty. There’s a forested area with amazing weather and incredible plants. I highly recommend it. Honestly, until someone goes there themselves, they can’t believe how great it is.

The best place I’ve ever been to. The kind of place that makes your heart happy just by looking at nature. We went there when it was raining, and it was so beautiful that we couldn’t stop admiring the greenery. I absolutely loved this place and would love to visit again.
Syeda R — Google review
A very good place to view the entire Brisbane city. Super view from the watch tower. It is recommended to bring food on your own or there is a restaurant which has been and food items but costly. The parking looks free. But I need to check again. Rest everything is good. Nice place to relax. I went at night and the view was amazing. Feels like sitting in an aircraft and flying too close on top of a metropolitan city. I couldn't identify any locations on my first visit. But I liked it a lot. Using good binoculars are highly recommended on locations like this. Here I'm uploading some views from here during the night.
DEEPU V — Google review
Amazing view of Brisbane, especially on a clear night when the city lights look incredible. It can get quite busy, but it’s totally worth it for the view. Great spot to just relax and take it all in.

The Mount Coo-tha summit lookout has sweeping views over Brisbane city. There's ample parking. The lookout is wheelchair ♿️ friendly. Next to the lookout is The Summit cafe and restaurant which is quite nice for a coffee ☕️ and sweet treat, breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Beautiful view of the Brisbane City! One of wonderful lookouts in Brisbane. Only downside to this place is that there are not many seats at the foyer to sit and enjoy the view.

A Breathtaking Oasis: Mount Cootha Review Tucked away in the heart of Brisbane, Mount Cootha is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. Our recent family outing to this stunning destination was nothing short of spectacular. As we arrived at dawn, the sky transformed into a kaleidoscope of warm hues, casting a magical glow over the landscape. The tranquil atmosphere was palpable, with the sounds of nature and gentle breezes creating a soothing melody. The panoramic views from the summit were simply breathtaking – a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban landscape. To refuel and recharge, we headed to the conveniently located restaurant, which offered an impressive array of delicious options to cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements. From hearty breakfast dishes to lighter snacks, there was something for everyone. What struck us most about Mount Cootha was its ability to seamlessly blend natural serenity with modern amenities, making it an ideal destination for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat, an action-packed adventure, or simply a unique perspective on the city, Mount Cootha is sure to exceed your expectations. *Highly Recommended Highlights:* - Breathtaking panoramic views, especially during sunrise - Tranquil atmosphere and natural beauty - Conveniently located restaurant with diverse options - Family-friendly and accessible - Perfect for a serene and enjoyable outing If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable experience in Brisbane, Mount Cootha should be at the top of your list!

One of the famous spots to visit in Brisbane. This place is accessible with public transport. You can catch a bus here from the city. This is the place where you can see the views of Brisbane City from top. Nonetheless, there is not much to see besides the city views. The views might not be the best, but it is also because we came in the afternoon. Based on other reviews, it’s best to come here during sunrise or sunset to see a more breathtaking view of the city from top.

New Farm Park is a sprawling public park located along the Brisbane River, offering expansive grassy areas, a beautiful rose garden, and various recreational facilities. Visitors can enjoy stunning sunset views and take a leisurely stroll on the New Farm Riverwalk, which connects the park to Howard Smith Wharves. The park provides ample space for picnics among trees and roses, as well as playgrounds and free Wi-Fi.
Great green space to watch the world go by, spend time with the family or friends heaps of tables and bbq available. Watch the river, joggers or dogs. Great coffee available with a few snacks and ice cream on a hot day. Beautiful rose gardens and heaps of shady trees. Love this park, we go at least once a week but gets a bit windy down near the river in winter so bring a jacket or blanket.
Tracy S — Google review
My family and I purposely came to New Farm Park on our last day of Brisbane trip in mid September, hoping to see jacaranda even though the season usually starts in October. To our surprise, we found one jacaranda tree with the beautiful flowers and it really made our day. The air in the park was fresh and we all enjoyed it.
Shien L — Google review
A fantastic open space on the edge of the Brisbane CBD. Plenty of things for individuals, couples and families to do. It's well worth a visit just to walk along the river or to sit beneath the cool Jacarandas and watch the world go by. There's always something to entertain you in the park or on the river front.
Brad H — Google review
Absolutely stunning this time of year! Nice to sit along the river and get distracted in the moment, amazing flowers blooming, not too busy during the week.
A K — Google review
New Farm Park is one of Brisbane’s most beautiful and popular green spaces, loved by both locals and visitors alike. Set along the Brisbane River, the park offers wide open lawns, lush gardens, and large shaded trees that make it ideal for picnics, family gatherings, or simply relaxing outdoors. During spring, the park becomes absolutely magical as the Jacaranda trees burst into full bloom, painting the entire park in vibrant shades of purple. The view is breathtaking—perfect for photos, leisurely walks, or simply sitting under the blossoms enjoying the gentle fall of petals. The park also features barbecue areas, playgrounds, and riverside paths, and it’s conveniently located near the Brisbane Powerhouse, where you can grab a coffee or meal after your visit. Overall, New Farm Park is a must-visit spot in Brisbane—especially in spring when the Jacarandas are in bloom. It’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature’s beauty, and take in the city’s relaxed riverside charm.

New Farm Park is a very nice place suitable for the whole family. It's especially good at the moment as the jacaranda trees 🌳 are in bloom. The rose 🌹 garden is lovely. From the park you can get on the New Farm river walk which takes you up to the Howard Smith wharf.

The Queensland Museum Kurilpa in Brisbane is a fascinating destination that offers a deep dive into the history, science, and natural wonders of the Queensland region. From prehistoric exhibits to modern-day displays, this museum provides an enriching experience for visitors of all ages. As the flagship campus for the Queensland Museum, it houses a diverse collection of artifacts, animals, and fossils that showcase the region's rich heritage.
The museum facilities were very good. Everything was Wheelchair accessible. The exhibit was top-notch. They limited how many people could get through at one time, which greatly enhanced the experience. We had a very good time. If you enjoy ancient history, ancient Egypt, pharaohs and mummies, then you’ll really enjoy this.
Joel C — Google review
I happened to stop by this museum, and to my surprise, it was also free of charge🆓✨ Australia is truly generous in this way🇦🇺 The exhibits were so impressive — from taxidermy of koalas and kangaroos to a massive whale model hanging from the ceiling! 🐨🦘🐋 With so many life-sized displays, it really gave me a sense of the scale of nature. It was an exciting moment of unexpected discovery, and I love how travel brings these little surprises along the way🌿 What’s more, right in front of South Brisbane Station you’ll find a vibrant hub of art and culture. Art galleries, museums, musical theaters, and libraries line the area, making it feel like the city’s cultural heart. The moment you step out of the station, you’re greeted with a creative and inspiring atmosphere✨

The Queensland Museum showcases fossils and specimens that help us understand how temperatures in prehistoric times differed from today — a stark reminder of the serious impact of rising temperatures on nature. On the third floor, there are displays of Australian animals and insects, offering a closer look at their fascinating features. The most fun part was spotting stick insects in the terrariums, marveling at how cleverly these insects protect themselves — it’s amazing to see nature’s survival instincts up close!
Annie L — Google review
Worth checking out, a lot of things to see especially considering it’s free. Very informative and the aircon is perfect for a hot summer day if you’re looking for something to do without burning outside. Great for families and very interesting real life animals that you wouldn’t normally get to see.
Tim H — Google review
Had the grandkids with us. We all loved the interactive and fascinating displays. So much to see. Live stick insects, an array of taxidermy animals, the "rainforest" installation , huge dinosaurs, specimens under a microscope, and an interactive reef display. (Chasing crabs away) We spent an easy couple of hours here with 3 children - 1 , 4 and a 7 years old.
Danila N — Google review
It's free to get in, but has a lot of stairs to climb, once it got crowded ot was hard to see anything or interact with the displays that were available, a few more hands on things would be great. Had a lot of repeated animals displayed. The clothes were interesting.

I've been meaning to get to the Queensland Museum my last couple of visits and finally made it this time. Ended up staying most of the day. Interesting exhibits and layout and plenty to look at. Staff were friendly and I can recommend the free tour to give you an overview. Cat was my guide and she was full of lovely humor and interesting facts.

We did Alice in puzzleland as a family of 4 and had great fun. It was challenging and kept us all entertained. We did ask for a hint - which was great to keep us on track so they kids didnt lose focus and guided vs give away the next stage. It is a small room and would be squishy with 4 adults, let alone 6 (the maximum number). Looking forward to our next one!!

Boggo Road Gaol, once a notorious 19th-century prison known for its harsh conditions and infamous inmates, is now a captivating heritage site in Queensland. The gaol offers tours led by former guards and inmates, providing an insightful look into Australia's penal history. With stories of notorious prisoners like Slim Halliday and Patrick Kenniff, the gaol's walls are filled with secrets and intrigue. Visitors can even opt for the Boggo Road Ghost Tour for an extra thrill.
Booked and went on the ghost tour last night it was an amazing journey back in time. Great history, story telling and the atmosphere of the gaol really adds to it. Only been once before during the day for a school history excursion and both times I've had some kind of experience. If your a local or a tourist you'll really enjoy this gaol. Highly recommended A+++
Brendan M — Google review
Firstly, Heather, our tour guide were great at handling COVID19. She was ready to check-in everyone as we arrive. Check-in was really smooth and easy. It a great place to visit and learn about the history behind the gaol. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The stories from our guide and graffiti on the walls bring us into the stories. We took our kids there to let them know how old the facilities were during the old days. Room for improvement: It will be better to include more areas like their kitchen, workshops, laundry, gaol guillotine and hanging area. This will take you to 5 stars ratings.
Boon C — Google review
The history tour was educational, informative and interesting. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and professional. Love the stories about the famous escapologist and the black cat. Recommended to anyone for this 90 minutes tour, tourists or local residents, to learn a slice of Brisbane jail history. You should also go to St Helena Island if you are particularly interested in jails.
Tony N — Google review
Tour guide was very good and friendly. The goal itself is an interesting & terrible place at the same time. Definitely worth a visit especially for those Brisbane residents who remember it. Good value for the cost.
Barbara E — Google review
Very interesting historical site. The ghost tour was cool but went on too long I think. I would suggest cutting it back to 1.5 hours at the most as it keeps up the pace and audience interest. 2 hours is a long time to spend on your feet. Saw cell blocks D & E, heard a couple of stories but no ghosts.
Ellie W — Google review
We did the gaol tour today, was good, but it would have been so much better if other parts of the gaol were included. We saw two cell blocks and the recreational yard. I would have loved the tour to include the kitchens, governors office, workshops, and maybe the infirmary. Not sure it was worth the $60 for the two of us.
Lisa M — Google review
Visited boggo road gaol today for the history tour which was very informative. The tour guide provided a huge amount of information and was able to any questions. Parking is very easy and the gaol is all accessible by wheelchair except for the upstairs area.

Victoria Park is a golf lover's paradise, featuring an expansive 18-hole course, a driving range, and even a mini-golf course. The undulating greens are open to all without the need for membership. Visitors can enjoy a round of golf for varying rates depending on the day of the week. Additionally, the park offers a family-friendly bistro with a seasonal menu and an alfresco setting perfect for enjoying views of the lush parkland and city skyline.
I had the pleasure of being able to have my wedding at Victoria park a month ago. It exceeded expectations. Right from the get go I had amazing communication from the wedding team at Victoria park, fast replies and being able to give me in depth information. I was out so at ease, they took care of most of the hard work for me and brought my vision to life. I’m so grateful for the amazing staff prior to the wedding and even more the staff on my wedding night! They were a ball of fun and looked after us so well. I didn’t even have to put in my drink order as soon as he saw me coming it was made up every time. The golf buggy was such a fun ride and the 2 drivers made it such a fun experience going off to our photos. The food was incredible. It was such a stress free, amazing time.
Zoe R — Google review
Visited on 16/05/2025 at 9:30 PM. While we tried to make the best of our time, our experience was negatively affected by the unprofessional conduct of the staff on duty. As first-time visitors, we explained that we were unfamiliar with how to play and kindly asked for instructions. Unfortunately, the young staff members laughed at our confusion instead of offering assistance. We were not provided basic materials like a scorecard or pen, which other groups had received, and there were no clear signs or instructions to follow. We had to observe others to understand how to play and keep score, which made the experience feel unwelcoming and poorly managed. Due to this disappointing level of service, we do not plan to return and will be making sure to let our community know of our experience here.
Angelina — Google review
Amazing in-city public golf course. Exceptionally convenient location, plentiful parking (as long as you're prepared to walk a little distance and there were no special events), well-maintained grassland, great coaches and friendly staff. High tech equipment that track your hit and give you useful statistics.
Stanley C — Google review
I had the chance to visit Victoria Park Golf Driving Range in Herston, and I must say it’s one of Brisbane’s most unique inner-city spots for golf, fun, and relaxation. The location itself is perfect—just minutes from the CBD with plenty of free parking. As soon as you arrive, the setup feels impressive: a massive two-level driving range with more than 50 all-weather bays, all fitted with Toptracer technology. It’s not just about hitting balls; you can track your shots, play virtual courses, or challenge friends with fun games like long-drive contests and closest-to-the-pin. What really stands out is the atmosphere. Whether you’re a serious golfer working on your swing or just there for a social outing, it’s welcoming and relaxed. The Sip & Swing lounges are a fantastic option for groups—you get your own bay, unlimited balls, club hire, and food or drinks delivered straight to you. Perfect for parties, casual catch-ups, or even corporate events. The range is open day and night, and hitting under the floodlights with the Brisbane skyline views in the background is an experience on its own. There’s also an 18-hole mini golf course, a modern bistro and bar, and even a kids’ playground, so it’s not just for golfers—it’s a whole day or night out. Prices are reasonable considering the location and facilities. Buckets of balls start from around $19, and Sip & Swing packages are well worth it if you’re going with a group. If I had to mention a couple of small things—on busy weekend nights it does get packed, so booking ahead or visiting during the day is a smart idea. A few people also point out that the range balls aren’t always premium, but honestly, the fun and tech more than make up for it. Overall, Victoria Park Driving Range is more than just a golfing spot—it’s a vibrant, social, and family-friendly destination. Whether you’re a local, a tourist, or just looking for something different to do in Brisbane, it’s definitely worth a visit.
Amit M — Google review
Nice range and as a bonus the technology makes it fun but also easy to review your shots. Large store ranging from clubs, accesories and merch. Grip change service and free mini putting green inside.

Been here for functions, putt putt and the bistro. As long as you get in at a reasonable time to grab a park it's great. Not too far to walk from any parking area. We thoroughly enjoyed joining in for the Halloween putt putt recently.

Absolute banger of a spot! Great for a date night with mini golf and even better to take the boys to the driving range and have a swing. Also busy but never too crowded. I would recommend coming here if you want something a little different.

Hands-down the best putt putt course I have ever been to. Staff are lovely and the grounds were immaculate. All 18 holes are unique in their own right and had 3 different types of difficulties. This is a great place to bring any ages. They also have a QR code that let you keep scores on your phone and order drinks from there as well. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

It's the perfect place for a fun night out or a lively date night atmosphere. Additionally, visitors can enjoy great drinks and exceptional service from enthusiastic staff members like Meg.

A great spot for team outings or catching up with friends! We held a team event here, starting with bowling and then moving on to laser tag. We had an absolute blast — lots of laughs, a bit of sweat, and plenty of friendly competition. Everyone got really into it and bonded over the laser tag experience. Highly recommend this place for group events or team-building fun!

Extremely disappointing experience. Waited 50 minutes for a simple potato tornado, only to leave with a refund — and not even an apology. We followed up four times, and each time the staff acted like it wasn’t their problem. No urgency, no accountability — just laughing among themselves while customers stood waiting. Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. Won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values decent service.

Had our work get together here tonight and was the best service ever! Thank you so much too all the staff that were so accommodating while we were there. Especially Courtney that found an item I lost during an intense game of laser tag 🤪 you guys are awesome, thank you.

Strike has really lifted its game lately. You can tell they’ve put some serious time and money into renovations it’s looking really sharp now. The staff are always great polite, professional, and still fun, which is exactly the vibe you want there. The pop-up bar was a clever touch. I’ve never tried the escape rooms (not really my thing), but I’ve gone bowling there plenty of times and had many, many, many drinks. The laser tag is always a blast, and if karaoke’s your scene, they’ve got that too. They’ve even added Holy Moly recently, and it looks awesome. They seem to keep the place fresh and updated, which makes it perfect whether you’re chasing good Instagram shots or just want a fun night out in the city.

Located in the Wintergarden building. Easy to find. Been bowling here on multiple occassions. Last visited on a Sunday evening. Tried to call ahead to make a booking but was only able to leave a message. We tried our luck by turning up anyway & were lucky the staff could accommodate us for a game of bowling. Shoe hire is included in price but not socks. Either bring your own or rent some. One of the patrons didn't have his ID on him so we were told we needed to leave the venue by 8 pm. We were able to finish our game in time but would've been keen to stay but longer. They also have laser tag & an escape room here. Haven't tried those here but good to know these activities are available in the city. Also, you gotta take a photo with the Who's your Caddy? back drop for a laugh.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Brisbane City Hall is a historic government building with a neoclassical facade that dates back to the early 20th century. The architecture combines elements from the Pantheon in Rome and the campanile belltower in Venice, making it a unique sight to behold. Visitors can take guided tours of the clock tower and explore the Museum of Brisbane on the third floor, which showcases local history from the city's founding to its present cosmopolitan status.
City Hall is beautiful and truly iconic. Inside and out I've always found there to be something magical about it. I've been to many events held here over the years from balls, to awards, voting even bridal expos and it's a very versatile space. The historical beauty is well presented and preserved. I've added a couple of photos from tonight when we took the kids in for the ever spectacular Christmas display. Honestly it gets better every year. My only gripe about it is the amount of dark harsh concrete in King George Square from the renovations they did years ago. It gets so hot in summer. I wish they would add some trees back to allow for some shade so you could take time to comfortably appreciate the area more. Otherwise it's lovely.
Gigi C — Google review
Had both my wedding ceremony (in the Windsor Room) and reception (in the Brisbane Room) held at this beautiful and majestic venue in March 2025. I liaised with Jacinta from EPICURE and she was so lovely, patient and empathetic throughout the whole process. From doing a venue tour, to a menu tasting after hours and up till the wedding day itself, she was nothing but accommodating. My vendors also mentioned how nice she was to work with. This venue offers many wedding packages that suit many budgets. There are a plethora of rooms to choose from. There are also many great photo locations for wedding portraits. My husband and I thought the packages were very reasonably priced and included many things not included in other venue packages. The food on the night was phenomenal. From the presentation to the taste, each course was artistically prepared. The proportions were great and the cake was plated with finesse. Just a minor thing to note if you do plan to book Brisbane City Hall as your wedding venue. They are a heritage-listed site, so no open-flames allowed (ie LED candles & tea lights only and no sparkulators) and nothing can be affixed to the walls and flooring to preserve the materials. As part of the contract, you will also need to take out indemnity insurance. In summary, I definitely recommend Brisbane City Hall as a wedding venue. The photos of the venue speak for themselves.

A beautiful venue for your wedding or function with so many stunning heritage features. We attended a ball for the RBWH and the food was not only beautifully presented but tasted great. Service staff were so very good for such a large function.

Explore the public and administrative spaces that comprise the seat of the Brisbane area government. In order to get the behind the scenes peak, it will be a good idea to sign up for the free guided tours. Walk back to the beginnings of the efforts to design, fund, and eventually the start of construction through the renovation work that resulted in the reopening of the storied building in 2013. Tours are comprised of about 14 people, so be sure to book early to make arrangements for larger groups. You may opt to online the clock tower tour if you haven't already done so in the past.
D.L. P — Google review
Brisbane City Hall anchors King George Square with its grand sandstone columns and soaring clock tower, a slice of Neoclassical elegance in the middle of the CBD. The foyer greets visitors with polished marble floors, bronze honour boards and a skylit dome that draws eyes upward before you have even collected a tour ticket. Free guided tours run several times a day and take you through the formal Council Chamber, past Art Deco stained-glass windows and into the circular auditorium where the heritage pipe organ still roars to life for lunchtime recitals. A separate lift whisks small groups to the clock tower viewing platform, 76 metres above the square. The original hand-operated lift rattles charmingly on the way up and the reward is a 360-degree sweep across the river bends, the Glasshouse Mountains on a clear day and the hive of commuter ferries below. Back at ground level, the Museum of Brisbane fills the former administrative offices with rotating exhibitions that explore everything from local First Nations stories to contemporary art and fashion. Entry is free and the volunteer guides are generous with anecdotes if you linger by an object. Practicalities are thoughtful. Book clock tower tickets online or grab a timed pass early in the day; they disappear quickly on weekends and school holidays. Wide ramps and lifts make the building accessible, lockers sit beside the museum entrance for bags, and a relaxed café in the adjoining arcade offers coffee and light meals without tourist-tax pricing. TransLink buses and the Queen Street Mall light-rail stop sit within a block, making the visit easy without a car. Whether you come for the architecture, the city views or a dose of local history between meetings, Brisbane City Hall delivers a satisfying blend of civic pride and welcoming public space.

The clock tower and the city hall in the center of King George Square defines the heritage in this vicinity. It was a great place to check out while in Brisbane. Such a beautiful ground floor. Remarkable building in the centre of Brisbane. Take the free tour along with the elevator ride up to the top of the clock tower for a unique view of the city.

The Brisbane City Hall hosted an absolutely magical performance of The Dream of Gerontius, with the Brisbane Chorale and the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra teaming up to deliver this musical extravaganza on Sunday 23rd August. My family loved the performance, and the concert hall itself was stately and atmospheric, and the organ is a wonder in itself! A gorgeous venue

Experience the nostalgia of a classic American drive-in at Five Star Cinemas - Yatala Drive-In. With three fields featuring large outdoor screens, you can catch the latest blockbusters or retro classics from the comfort of your car by tuning in to the FM radio. The 1950s American-style diner adds to the ambiance with life-size statues of Elvis and Marilyn, offering classic movie snacks like hot chips, choc tops, and burgers.
Had the most amazing experience at Yatala Drive-In Movies! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was so nostalgic and special — but what truly made it unforgettable was meeting who we believe was the owner, a kind older man who genuinely cared about our experience. He personally asked us for feedback on the food, and you could just tell how much heart and pride he puts into this place. It’s rare to feel that kind of warmth and connection at a business these days. The food was delicious (we had to try a bit of everything!) and the popcorn? Next-level. Fresh, buttery, and absolutely addictive. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is fantastic; our first time visiting & we will definitely be back ! Did know that we needed to put radio channel. And the girl in the front didn't tell ehich channel. Supposed to be three movies. Couldn't find our movie. Drove back to the ticket boot and she had gone. The movie had already started. Didn't want to be a nuisance for other people. So we left and didn't watch.

Not many drive-throughs left, these guys are great. Easy signal for radio listening or there are windows boxes still too! The diner is great and even under a rush of patrons served with good service. Would recommend even if only for the novelty, it was awesome.

Fort Lytton National Park is a historical site featuring a 19th-century fort and surrounding park, offering guided tours and history-oriented shows. The coastal fortification, built in 1881, served as Brisbane's first line of defense until the 1930s and is considered the birthplace of Queensland's military history. Visitors can explore rooms, tunnels, passages, cannons, grassy knolls, and military equipment while learning about the area's colonial defense.
Unknown Brisbane gem! Have lived in Brisbane most of my life and had never heard of Fort Lytton. Great for a visit, extensive fortifications, history, small but dense museum or two, views of the river, friendly and enthusiastic guides / volunteers and all free (donations welcome). Open Sundays at 10am as of February 2025.

Nikon D750 - 24-70mm & 70mm to 300mm This is the place to go. Open Sundays from 10am to 5pm and run exclusively by elderly volunteers, this is TRUELY one of Brisbane's, if not Queensland's hidden gems. Such an incredible place, landscape and snapshot of the history of Brisbane. If you are free on a sunday, pop down for a guided tour or explore the place as a public visitor. Just take a look at some of the photos I was able to take, and that's not even it. Perfect place to take kids, they even have a small restaurant serving refreshments.

Incredible Experience at iFLY Brisbane – Thanks to Laura, Bibi, and Carmen! I had the most *unforgettable* time at iFLY Brisbane! From start to finish, the experience was seamless, exciting, and above all, *fun*. What truly made it stand out, though, were the amazing team members – Laura, Bibi, and Carmen. Laura was incredibly welcoming and made sure we felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. Her energy is infectious, and she took the time to explain everything clearly, which made a huge difference for first-timers like us. Bibi was a fantastic instructor – professional, patient, and always encouraging. She has a gift for putting people at ease, and her passion for flying really shows. It was so cool to learn from someone who genuinely loves what she does. And Carmen brought such a positive vibe to the whole experience. She was helpful, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. Her attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed and really added to the overall quality of the visit. Thanks to this dream team, my iFLY experience was nothing short of amazing. I’d highly recommend iFLY Brisbane to anyone looking for a unique adventure – and if you get the chance to meet Laura, Bibi, and Carmen, you're in for a real treat!

Not going to comment much on the pricing/value other than to say we came as guests for a child's birthday party so didn't pay for the flights, but it's not something I would normally spend money on myself. The hosts did get their vouchers on sale so didn't pay full price either. We had the use of one of the party rooms which was handy. This included a full sized fridge but we noted the lack of a sink which would have been useful. Nevertheless it was good to have our own area which can be closed off (door) and even screen off (curtains) for some privacy and separation from the general seating/viewing area just outside. We were pretty happy with the overall service and the instructor assigned to our group was friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves, especially with the advanced demonstration flight at the end of the session. Each flyer in our group got 2 flights, lasting about 50 seconds each. These introductory flights are really just for you to get a feel of what it's like to be in the wind tunnel and floating on the air cushion, albeit most of the time with the instructor holding onto you in some way. You can of course pay more to get more flights, longer flights, or to have extras like being taken up higher in the tunnel. To do anything more advanced for yourself requires more flying time and practice, for which the costs would rack up. All up my child / most of the group had fun and I can totally understand that the whole operation would cost a fair bit to run. I can see how it would be a good group/corporate type activity or something that thrill seekers will appreciate. So whilst this is not a product/service for me I am happy to have seen it up close at least this once.

Such a great spot in th middle of Brisbane South bank. Swim around and admire the landscapes and skyscrapers, shallow, and deep pools available,as well as water play for the kids. Plenty of food options around and a life guard on duty everyday from 7-7 highly recommend!

Streets Beach at South Bank is one of Brisbane’s most iconic spots and a fantastic place to relax right in the heart of the city. What makes it so unique is the combination of a sparkling man-made lagoon with sandy beaches, surrounded by lush greenery and views of the Brisbane River and skyline. It truly feels like an urban oasis. The beach itself is beautifully maintained, with lifeguards on duty, making it safe for families with children. The shallow areas are perfect for kids to splash around, while adults can enjoy a refreshing swim or simply lounge on the sand. At night, the area lights up and feels just as magical. Another highlight is the location—being at South Bank means you’re only steps away from great restaurants, cafés, shops, and cultural attractions like QPAC and GOMA. Whether you want to grab an ice cream, have a picnic, or enjoy a riverside stroll, everything is close by. Clean amenities, plenty of shaded seating, and easy access by public transport make it even more convenient. Streets Beach is not just for tourists but a place locals love too. It’s the perfect blend of relaxation and city life.

Every time we come to Brizzy, we end up spending most of our time here. My child absolutely loves it, and it’s such a nice break from hospital visits. It’s also conveniently located. The water temperature is always perfect and the water is clean. There are several depths that cater for all abilities, plus a fun water-feature area for the little ones. There are also plenty of lifeguards and security staff around, which makes it feel really safe and secure. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and the view of the city is just gorgeous. There are lots of restaurants and eateries close by, and families all share the space in such a relaxed way. The whole atmosphere is fantastic. Highly recommend!

White Ridge Farm is a family-owned sanctuary located about 50 kilometers north of Brisbane. Visitors can interact with a variety of animals, including goats, cows, pigs, chickens, llamas, alpacas, and even a camel. The farm offers activities such as mini-golf, hayrides, animal feeding sessions, and playgrounds for children. Guests can also bring along a picnic to enjoy on the premises.
Absolutely wonderful day out for my 4 and 2yr old!! Loved that we could set up at one of the many tables on site for morning tea and a run and play in the multiple play areas before and after checking out the animals! The staff were super helpful and the kids thoroughly enjoyed feeding and patting the many friendly animals, they were also huge fans of the tractor and train rides!! Great activity for small children and perfect location for my extremely energetic boys :)

White Ridge Farm is a hidden secret, a beautiful and calming landscape that you will be happy you made the trip for! It’s less than a one hour drive from Brisbane CBD, with so many activities for the kids to do and see. From feeding the gentle farm animals, to holding some hens, tractor rides, train rides, an awesome playground and cute car buggies to ride on for the kids. The putt putt was also such a hit for us. You can hold and feed bunnies, and sight see some awesome setups on the tractor rides. Alpacas and Llamas and cows and goats and gorgeous big trees were about, and massive areas with tables and trees for eating your packed lunch, which my kids loved. There are toys around as well. The coffee was delicious and my husband and I really enjoyed the day outdoors and different from our usual haunts. We spent the entire day and we were all relaxed and peaceful and had such a glorious time! We rode the tractor ride about 4 times! Can’t wait to visit again! Love love this farm!

Very lovely farm! Chance to feed all the lovely animals closely with a bucket of grass. But be careful with the big camel - he will always try to grab all your grass (but I guess I won't be the last one who had my little grass bucket robbed by him). The pink piggy bank in the souvenir shop is very cute too so I bought one and put it at home. It looks nice. And all the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and took care of the animals very well. I’m glad that I visited here between Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. (if there is any suggestion, the only thing that I can think of is maybe the entry road and parking ground could be improved by tarmac paved road, so that they are more friendly with small non-4WD cars of tourists)

We visited White Ridge Farm today for the first time. There's a dedicated carpark in front. You pay upon entry and can buy buckets of food to feed the animals. It's a small working farm but there's still a variety of animals to see. All the ones we came across were friendly. There are: - a few playgrounds including an enclosed playground suited to young children - a sandpit - Little Tykes cars for kids to ride in - a toilet block - lots of stations with soap to wash your hands - a mini golf course We enjoyed the tractor ride and the commentary. Unfortunately the train was not operational today. There was a school group here and they told us they were short staffed but it didn't hinder our experience.

Wasn't bad for a place with drinks and an activity for all the enjoy. Been to the Holey Moley in Singapore which wasn't bad too. The only downside here was that the staff seemed rude and my friends were queuing behind me and after serving me they just ignored my friends and took the other from someone who was by the side.. just not what I've expected.

Great fun, nice staff and excellent drinks. There were some technical difficulties which were dully compensated in free drinks and free games. A lot of (regular) bars in the area too. Good place to go to have some fun and drinks!

B. Lucky & Sons has such a cool atmosphere. I loved the old-school style and the overall vibe of the place. It felt really fun and different, which made for a great night out. That said, the experience could have been better. We waited at least 15 minutes at the front with no one there to assist us, which was a bit frustrating. We also loaded $40 onto our cards, but many of the games either didn’t work properly or made us swipe multiple times, which ended up taking more credit than expected. It was still a fun experience overall, but a few improvements with service and game functionality would make it much better.

Good atmosphere and fun time here. The host we had (Archie) was great as he would commentate things and make it a bit more competitive or enjoyable. He was able to easily feel the vibe of the group and give us more energy to make the event and activities more interactive. We got a private area / booth which was nice. The seating was comfy and the food was decent. The arcade games were pretty fun - standard and similar to normal arcades. I think the best thing is the atmosphere. Everyone who comes here seems quite happy and like they’re having a lot of fun!

I've been meaning to leave a review for this for some time! I visited with my husband in November 2024. The tour was fantastic! Andrew is an excellent guide with wonderful story telling skills, making sure that no matter the weather the delivery of the tour was exceptional and all areas were covered. It was a really great way to learn about the history of Toowong cemetery and some of the neighbouring area. We were given tour books too!😄 It was a very rainy night but that actually worked out for the best (frogs and other creatures came to visit! 🐸) we got some fantastic views of the city too. At the end of the night we were tired from exploring and ready for bed , it was a great and spooky way to finish our time in Brisbane and Australia. Thankyou!

My sister and I went on the original Toowong cemetery tour and the tour guides Andrew and Andy created a very immersive experience and it was very enjoyable. They were very good story tellers and offered up extra information. I wasn’t bored at any stage and now I wanna go on more tours!

Charismatic guide Andrew brings the perfect energy to this tour. He offers a friendly greeting to each group upon arrival, chats while waiting for others to arrive, and then comes the booming voice that is a mix of reverent gravitas and charming entertainer. The curated stories are well-researched, spooky, amusing, creepy, and fun. Between story stops while wandering through the beautiful cemetery, Andrew engages with interested guests, including my two tween/teen "junior spooks" (aka "ghost bait"). I highly recommend this night out for those who love ghost stories, something a bit different, history, and/or a unique view of Brisbane. I look forward to booking into other tours with Andrew in future.

Unique and interesting date night idea! Had the pleasure of embarking on the Toowong Cemetery tour with Andrew as our guide - epic stories of Brisbane's history brilliantly told. It's astonishing the amount of lore in your own city that you'd simply never hear about without these tours. Will definitely come back for another one!

My 14 yr old son and I did the Toowong cemetery tour. The hosts created a spooky mood and stayed in character the whole time. The ghost stories were heaps interesting! I will do doing all of their Brisbane tours. Thank you! It was well worth it :)

Let me start bye saying Andy the host last night 🌙 was great at his job , friendly also has a great voice and vibe telling story's about those upon the cemetery laid to rest , He highlighted everything to know about the place , Cracked a few jokes also , I am not religious but am spiritual 🙏 and enjoyed every moment of the tour , I seen at least 12 movements from the corner of my eye 👁 I also felt cold at one of the graves you could feel there presence for sure , My favourite of the night was the moving statue , of course I knew we were looking at a grave that moves but were or how I didn't know I stood behind the man's statue looking up and down for movements, to my surprise I looked at his ears and head to notice the head tilt to the left then the right , I said to my partner his head just moved , she had done reaserch previously on what the statue did I hadn't when I told her his head moved she said that's exactly what happens so from the bottom of my heart this statue does move when the tours on rather then stand front on come to the side and look at his head from the back focus on his ears and watch his head move , cars to pass and this could be a illusion how its built when passing cars lights hit it this I don't know but in 3 mins of staring at his ears from the rear of his grave I definitely seen his head move , I believe 100 percent it does , Highly recommend this tour especially with Andy, cheap eventful night 🌙 I don't like cemetery at night but Andy takes u away from that scared zone and focus into the history and amazing graves High five to the legend Andy 🙌

I give a 4 star. I have been to this venue on many occasions for concerts and NRL. Never disappoints however the facility has a no- cash policy and the mobile data reception is bad, in saying this though they have free Suncorp stadium WiFi.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Suncorp Stadium — Always an Incredible Experience We’ve been to Suncorp Stadium many times over the past several years — everything from massive concerts to packed football games — and every single visit has been nothing short of spectacular. It’s one of those venues that never fails to impress, no matter the event. The atmosphere is always electric, with amazing acoustics for concerts and a brilliant field view from practically every seat. Even when the stadium is full, the layout makes it easy to navigate, and the crowd flow is surprisingly smooth. One thing we’ve consistently appreciated is how clean and well-maintained the entire venue is. From the seating areas to the food courts and restrooms, everything feels tidy and looked after, even during high-capacity events. The staff are friendly, organised, and efficient — whether it’s security, ushers, or people running the food and drink stands. You’re never left unsure of where to go or who to ask; there’s always someone happy to help. Overall, Suncorp Stadium is a standout venue that delivers every single time. If you’re going to a concert or catching a game, you can count on a smooth, enjoyable, and well-run experience. Five stars.

Queensland Museum Kurilpa, located in South Bank Brisbane, is a captivating blend of education and entertainment. The museum offers a diverse range of exhibits focusing on science, culture, natural history specific to the Queensland region. Visitors can marvel at dinosaur skeletons including the 25ft Muttaburrasauraus langdoni and American dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops. The museum also showcases ancient megafauna such as giant kangaroos and wombats.

Worth checking out, a lot of things to see especially considering it’s free. Very informative and the aircon is perfect for a hot summer day if you’re looking for something to do without burning outside. Great for families and very interesting real life animals that you wouldn’t normally get to see.

This modern, expansive museum is a fantastic destination for curious minds of all ages. One of its biggest draws is the impressive dinosaur displays and permanent exhibitions, which you can enjoy for free—perfect for a fun and educational outing without spending a cent. For those wanting a deeper dive, there are interactive science labs and rotating special exhibitions that are well worth the ticket price. These sections often feature hands-on activities and cutting-edge displays that keep both kids and adults entertained and engaged. The museum shop is another highlight, stocked with a wide range of fun and quirky toys, educational kits, and science-themed goodies that are a big hit with the little ones. It’s the kind of place where kids can keep learning long after they’ve left the exhibits. Whether you’re visiting with family or just feeding your own curiosity, this museum offers a brilliant mix of free and premium experiences in a sleek, contemporary setting. A must-visit for anyone exploring Brisbane with kids—or a love of science and history.

It's free to get in, but has a lot of stairs to climb, once it got crowded ot was hard to see anything or interact with the displays that were available, a few more hands on things would be great. Had a lot of repeated animals displayed. The clothes were interesting.

I first thought the Story Bridge had a special story behind its name — turns out, the bridge is the story! It looks completely different by day and night. In the daytime, its steel structure stands tall and impressive; by night, the lights and the lively atmosphere from nearby bars and restaurants bring it to life. Walking across it, we each ended up with our own little “story” to tell!

My grandma took me to see a show here when I was a child. I have continued to watch productions here over the decades and still feel that special, magical energy of creativity whenever I attend. I've visited QPAC on several occasions over the years but, as a lifelong heavy metal listener, am definitely not a frequent flyer. Nowadays, and likely due to my rapidly increasing age, I find myself dabbling in a variety of musical genres. Which, in turn, recently led me to QPAC to watch The Tallis Scholars, the highly acclaimed vocal ensemble, delivering a program inspired by Gregorian Chant. A massive deviation from the norm, but a wonderful decision and a stunning evening. To summarise the entire outing, parking was easy (opted for South Bank undercover, 5-10 minute walk, $26 for a few hours). QPAC itself is always great; well-staffed by friendly and helpful individuals, wining and dining options, a large and impressive Concert Hall, and clear and strong acoustics. If anything, a surprising number of stairs in-and-out (bad timing as my wife had a sore knee), and a little warm during the performance. Overall, we had a wonderful night and enjoyed every aspect. The performance itself was beautiful and I'm truly glad I took the plunge. Thank you QPAC, keep up the great work, and please continue to provide vast and varied entertainment to your loyal patrons.

Located in a waterside complex, the Queensland Maritime Museum offers visitors the chance to explore historic vessels and view photographs, artifacts, and models. One of its main attractions is the river class frigate HMAS Diamantina, which was built in Maryborough and launched in 1944. Visitors can tour the warship's engine room, crew rooms, galleys, showers, engineers' rooms, and surgeons' rooms.
This museum is one of the most interesting I’ve ever visited. Having the chance to step inside, see, and even touch the Diamantina, and it was truly exciting. The entire museum is full with information that can easily spark the interest of anyone—even someone like me who ended up there more or less by chance. If you’re in Brisbane, I highly recommend stopping by! You won’t regret it!

I had the absolute pleasure along with fellow members from the Carseldine Probus Club of visiting the Queensland Maritime Museum at 412 Stanley St,South Brisbane QLD 4101 Keith Boulton OAM, who is QMM Historical Walk Convener, conducts Historical Walks through the Maritime Museum and along the Brisbane River and through areas of South Bank Parklands. Keith, along with Robyn, who is a long-time volunteer, took us for a very relaxing and informative 2-hour walk explaining in detail the history of the ever changing face the Brisbane River and South Brisbane It was wonderful as Keith and Robyn took us back in time of what it was like work on Shore with the railway running in the area where the Maritime Museum is located. There was a lot of production from several flour mills that were in South Brisbane. Coal was brought by rail from areas like Ipswich, ensuring that everyone was gainfully employed. The Brisbane River was busy with shipping, taking produce to various areas along the coastline of Queensland and beyond. Our walk also took us into the South Bank Parklands, whereas we know Expo 88 was enjoyed by millions of people attending this game-changing event. It definitely put Brisbane and Queensland on the map. After the walk was completed, we then had the opportunity to board the HMAS Diamantina, a warship that is located in the dry dock in the Maritime Museum along with the lugger Penguin this vessel is also located in the same location. You definitely need time to enjoy going through HMAS Diamantina. A lot of budding sailors would get a first-time look at what people had to live with during World War 2 and beyond. A lot of time and effort has been carried out by dedicated volunteers to maintain this ship for visitors to enjoy their time walking everywhere on this warship. Another wonderful highlight is looking at Jessica Watson's yacht, the Pink Lady, Jessica is renowned for performing a major solo event over 16 years ago. The Queensland Maritime Museum is opened most days of the week except Monday and Tuesdays, and visiting hours are between 10.00 am. and 4.15 pm. I would highly recommend anyone wanting something to do when visiting South Brisbane spend time at the Queensland Maritime Museum and taking advantage of going on a historic walk with Keith Boulton or one of the dedicated volunteers.

Located on Petrie Terrace, Brisbane Arts Theatre has been a staple of community theatre in Queensland since 1961. The intimate 151-seat venue hosts a year-round season of shows for both adults and children, along with workshops in performance and musical theatre. The theater also offers open auditions for many productions, providing opportunities for newcomers to enter the performing arts scene. With its licensed bar and outdoor courtyard available for functions, it's an ideal spot for corporate events or fundraising activities.
Lovely theatre and a wonderful performance! We loved that the cast were able to use the whole space of the theatre; aisle, spare seats, using the audience as props/part of the story. The performance was of high quality, from the cast to the props, and it was absolutely wonderful for the children to meet the cast afterwards and get their "autographs". There's a great seating area outside, next to the shop which serves snacks and drinks. We are keeping our eyes peeled for the next performance we can attend!

I was delighted to stumble upon this charming local theatre. We attended their recent production of 'Frankenstein,' and it was delightful! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was lovely, and I was especially grateful when a staff member adjusted the air conditioning to make it warmer upon request since it was quite chilly in the theatre. I will definitely be returning!

Been here a couple of times, it's actually one of my son's favourite places to go! Their customer service is always top-notch. This scenic area features the Walkabout Creek Wildlife Centre, where visitors can encounter native Australian wildlife in their natural habitat. One of the highlights is the chance to see the elusive platypus at the Gondwana Platypus Rockpool. The centre also hosts a daily Wildlife Discovery Show, making it an educational adventure for all ages.
OK, this is not about the walkabout discovery centre but instead about the Enoggera reservoir. This place is amazing, just beautiful to be able to swim there or (even better)take a paddle in the kayak. You may want to get there early to find a park, but this is one of the best outdoor activities that you can find in Brisbane to do for free!

A good place for families and outdoor activities lovers. Long trails, beautiful scenery, a small zoo (admission ticket is required ), and a restaurant surrounded by nature.

A fabulous local experience, great for families, enjoy a fabulous cast of wildlife characters to view and experience, and there's a cafe up top to have lunch or a snack afterwards.

It is a simply beautiful place to visit for a walk, kayak or swim. Stay for a coffee or snack at the Cafe, and enjoying the nature at its finest. My wife and I visit multiple times weekly for just these reasons. Great tracks for walking and mountain biking, which are all very well maintained. Definitely worth a family visit.

Great escape into nature right near the city still. Feels like you’re in the wilderness. Lovely lake, streams and bush land.
Scott M — Google review
Came here with my family and a friend to kayak on the reservoir during September school holidays. Easy booking process and fairly cheap to hire - $35 an hour for a single kayak. Nice smooth water and got to see some turtles, birds and catfish in the swimming area. Great that there is a cafe in the discovery centre for a post water treat! Would recommend for a great family activity.

Absolutely stunning, a wonderful little spot that feels super cozy yet grand & magnificent surrounded by big beautiful trees. There's no motorized anything around there, so it's nice & quiet. Family friendly, safe & a good vibe in general. Just make sure to secure your snacks from the bush turkeys, they're bold!😂😂😂

Nice little swim spot and walking tracks of all distances. I think the shortest walking track is just under 5km. Not very strenuous. Good for a good stroll then a swim after. Cafe there looked like they had huge meals and I brought a coffee which was nice but the large coffee isn't that big.

Beenleigh Historical Village & Museum is a living-history museum located just off the motorway. It features 20 preserved buildings with artifacts, including a school and church. The museum offers various activities for kids and those interested in history, such as pony rides, petting zoos, and demonstrations throughout the day. Visitors can also enjoy a coffee shop/cafe on-site. The volunteers at the museum are welcoming and take great care of the place.
Fantastic place to visit. So much to see. Bob the printer is awesome. The workshop with old forestry saws - excellent. Forgot your name sorry. The school house was very interesting and informative I must say. Do many volunteers, too many to mention, all doing a top job of keeping everyone entertained and educated!

Cute, interesting museum the whole family enjoyed. Was great to be able to step into the buildings and get a feel for life back then. Lot's of information and a great printing press presentation. We ate in the cafe which was reasonably priced and had a nice outdoor seating area. All the workers and volunteers were friendly and helpful.

This is such a lovely spot, for a picnic, to enjoy the cafe, to admire the art gallery and of course - learn about the history of the area. The volunteers have taken SUCH great care in caring for this beautiful place. The volunteers were incredibly helpful and welcoming, we’ll be back here and we’ll bring others to enjoy!

Old houses, schoolroom, post office and other buildings, set up and on display showing what they would’ve been like years ago. There is a 55 yr old firetruck that kids can sit on as part of a presentation (there is no cabin on the old trucks) as well as younger children being able to wear little fire jackets and hold the fire hose. There is a decent car park and more space for parking on the street too. The schoolroom presentation was very interesting too, with slates, inkwells, canes and other explanations of how school was different to today.
Sarah — Google review
Just off the motorway at Beenleigh it’s tucked in opposite Mitre 10. It cost $4 a person and then extra for jumping castle, pony rides or petting zoo. There was heaps to see and do for the kids or those who are historically inclined. They have a variety of demos to enjoy throughout the day which are well run by the staff. There’s also a coffee shop / cafe available. The images will give you a feel for what your money gets you but for $16 for a family of 4 it was a great morning and early arvo out. Not much parking so you have to park on the road. Jumping castle is small but there’s heaps of animals in the small petting zoo area.

With its well-maintained walking paths, BBQ areas, and playgrounds, visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls while keeping an eye out for local wildlife.
A beautiful natural environment with an array of indigenous trees. The trees were all labeled for interest. Wide open lawns, river walk, benches, barbecues and a playground. So well maintained......really peaceful environment. Plenty of parking, open access. Point of historical interest.

This is a beautiful park, especially in the cooler months. A great place to walk your dog and especially great for children, lots of space to run around, play hide and seek, play on the equipment, kick a ball and just enjoy all the beautiful trees and birds

One of my favorite parks/playgrounds. Love to lay on a picnic under the fig trees while my daughter plays on new nature-based playground. There is also another, less shady playground near by. Toilets, a couple of BBQS + benches (popular with weekend birthday parties). Short river side walking loop which is good for strollers.
Dr K — Google review
A lovely area! It's spacious with wide open grassy areas, a walking path along the river and two playgrounds (with toilets and seating area). You can go duck and turtle watching. I visited on a weekday afternoon. It was quiet and there was ample parking.

Very nice park, lots of history and knowledge on vegetation. Very well maintained walk path, children's playgrounds and it's right next to the river!

It's basically a museum of trees, lots of old trees of various types, lots of picnic areas and the river runs close by, a very well preserved and calm place, very simple :)

Very good and huge park for kids and adults as well. Nice play areas with BBQ facilities and toilets. One of the trails in the Arboretum leads to the Brisbane river. Birdwatchers can spot Tawny frogmouths, pale headed rosellas and other common birds. Parking is available on the road and in the park too although it's limited in weekends.

Great park, has lots of varied activity as well as a small pontoon. Has a few water birds at one end as well as a small playground (part of which is under construction) as well as a large green area to run around in. It has a large carpark 20-35 spots and a train station within 15min walk. Great place for a picnic or for a catch-up.

Ipswich Nature Centre, situated in the picturesque Queens Park, is a must-visit destination offering an up-close encounter with native Australian wildlife. The center houses over 42 species and approximately 200 animals including dingoes, bilbies, wallabies, water dragons, and a petting zoo. Visitors can explore lush gardens and nature exhibits representing local bushland and flora communities.
This is such a great little gem within Queen's Park. Only a gold coin donation is required for a fun filled activity for the kids. The kids had a great time looking for lizards, water dragons, spiders and bats (just watch where you walk so you don't end up pooped on!). A few snakes, a wombat, some wallabies and turtles, as well as a mini farmyard and aviary round out this excellent venue. Across the road is a well-rounded playground catering to littlies and bigger kids aswell. Facilities provided include his and hers toilet blocks with drinking fountain and there is a café on site too. For those with a green thumb, the Ipswich council has a presence at the nursery also. Would definitely visit again when we're in the area.
Roxi J — Google review
What a great space. Nice easy boardwalks so easily accessible. Entry is just a voluntary gold coin donation in a box at the gate. Lots of animals I didn't expect to see like dingo's and a wombat, even a wedge tail eagle. There is also a free flight aviary you can walk around and there were so many birds in there. Then, just a short walk across the road to the cafe for coffee and lunch.

Just wanted to get out, and get some fresh air. And this place has been on my to visit list. And I am very pleased, that I decided to come here. It is a very pleasant place. Iago V — Google review
I really liked the place, it's very simple, but I think it's worth going once and getting to know it and if you live nearby it's even a cool place to go more often, it has many different animals, it has a cute aviary, a cute mini farm and there's a place to see two nocturnal animals which is very interesting too.
Brenno G — Google review
Less variety of Australian animals compared to previous visit. A number of the display areas had no animals. They installed some cover over walkways due to bats roosting in the centre. Some of the boards in the walkway have rotted so are a tripping hazard. Don't come too early as they are cleaning some of the enclosures and animals are elsewhere.

Brisbane City Hall Clock Tower is a must-see landmark in the heart of Brisbane, offering panoramic views of the city from its 92m high vantage point. Visitors can take a vintage cage lift to reach the top and enjoy 360-degree views of the city below. The tower also provides insight into the inner workings of its giant clock face and vintage mechanisms.
This was really great to see. The clock tower tour was free and there is a lift inside the tower itself which takes you up. There was a lady (I didn't get her name but will say when I visited in November 2024 but) who was the most amazing and knowledgeable tour guide. Separately, the are other interesting exhibits to view in the town hall, so it will definitely fill your time if you want an insight to the city. I was only in Brisbane for the day from Sydney where I was based as a springboard around Australia for 4 weeks, but this was definitely a great place to visit. I hope to travel back to Australia, but next time would like to spend more time in Brisbane. Amazing place 5⭐
C J — Google review
Absolutely worth a 5-star rating! The staff are incredibly friendly and provide detailed explanations as well as free locker storage. Visiting the clock tower requires a reservation due to the limited number of visitors allowed, but on weekdays, it’s usually easy to book. Taking the historic elevator to the top is an experience not to be missed!
Cooper — Google review
Don’t miss out on this beautiful clock tower! Take the 95-year-old lift to the top for a breathtaking view. The friendly and knowledgeable staff will make your visit even more enjoyable. Booking is easy online, and the tour happens every 15 minutes. Afterward, you can explore the museum. If you’re in the city, don’t skip this experience!
Y T — Google review
Well worth booking a tour for! It goes by quite quickly (each tour is 15 mins) but the view of the city is lovely and the explanations for how the elevator and clock work we quite interesting. This is the biggest analogue clock in Australia and one of the oldest still-working manual elevators.
Sarah — Google review
We took two groups of adults with disabilities as part of an outing program. The staff whilst checking in for the tour was exceptional, she noticed someone was hesitant to join, and she brought over a visual informative sheet to explain and he joined right away! The guide we had was lovely and she explained the history beautifully and answered some questions and comments they had. All participants and staff were very appreciative of the city hall staff and we loved our tours! Highly recommend.
Amelia V — Google review
It was a cool experience! I wasn’t aware that the clock has four sides and that it’s automatic! You must book a free ticket online. Also, thanks to Nick for helping me get in—I had remembered my schedule wrong (my bad).

Movie theater
Cineplex South Bank is a modern multiplex cinema chain that offers the latest Hollywood films as well as new independent releases. It's known for being budget-friendly, making it an ideal choice for families and teenagers looking for affordable entertainment. The cinema features a spacious foyer, an arcade with various games, and a fully stocked candy bar offering popcorn, drinks, and snacks. While there is no seating in the foyer, there are comfortable seats inside the theaters with some having reclining options.
The atmosphere is really relaxing and warm, perfect for a stress-free movie night. The cinema is clean, cozy, and not overly crowded, which makes the whole experience feel more personal and comfortable. The ticket prices are very affordable, especially for the quality you get – great sound, clear screen, and comfy seats. The staff are kind and welcoming, and everything from booking to watching the movie was smooth and easy. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a chill, enjoyable movie experience without spending too much!
Hang V — Google review
A nice cinema, definitely good for families and people being budget conscious. The bathrooms were dirty with several toilet seats broken, one was off and laying on the floor, other toilets were just grotty & unflushed. It’s always good to have a day out at Southbank and Cineplex make it more affordable for families to come to the movies.
Marjorie — Google review
In an era when ut seems that prices are stratospheric, it is good to know that there are still places you can take your family for an outing that will not break the bank. Consider Cineplexx South Bank for your next movie outing. Is the theater new? No. The seats are not plush and some of the surfaces are worn. For a big guy like me, there weren't even that comfortable. But for a $10 ticket plus free parking (4 hours), my minor discomfort was not a huge ask. Additionally, we were able to get a large popcorn and two extra large drinks for only $15! And did I mention the ginormous screen? That is worth two huge thumbs up in my book. You can avoid the rush by purchasing your tickets on line and retrieve them at one of several kiosks when you arrive at the theater. If you catch an early show, there are tons of restaurants and other attractions available at South Bank to entertain your crew or to satisfy your cravings. Catching a flick and saving dough is an awesome combination!
D.L. P — Google review
Unfortunately the disabled toilet on ground level only has a UV light installed so my visually impaired client who has multiple disabilities, had some difficulty using this bathroom. If people are going to use needles, they can do it in any bathroom, so I don't see why people with disabilities have to go without a normal light in the toilet. I asked the staff and they advised that the manager only wants that light used in that bathroom.
Lucy M — Google review
The prices are good and the staff were nice but it's like they were doing construction in the cinema. The whole place was dirty and not just sticky floors and spilt popcorn dirty. There was dust everywhere which was a bit gross.
Ellie B — Google review
Shameful experience at Cineplex Southbank. My partner was asked to pay $35 in cash for parking, even though we had valid movie tickets and only requested validation. The staff member insisted on cash, refused card payment, and didn’t provide a receipt. This feels highly suspicious and unprofessional. Parking with a ticket should simply be validated — not turned into an opportunity to extort money from patrons. Something is definitely not right here.
Reynier L — Google review
Shocking. Have turned up to see the new Superman. Thought it would be awesome on the big imax screen. The theatre is dusty, everything has a layer of dust on it, there is water on the ground. What happened and why isn’t it clean?! Edit: the noise from somewhere in the building continued throughout the movie, steel being dropped, beeping, drilling, so much noise. How unprofessional. The whole cinema was angry by the end. I won’t be going back until something is done about this, atrocious.
John C — Google review
Affordable movie tickets. When you can actually book them. Doesn't matter whether you're using the app or the browser %90 of the time you've met with errors preventing the purchase of tickets. This has been the case for the three years I've been going here. Cineplexe's response: Buy your tickets in person we never run out! How about you treat your business seriously? How their business managed to survive COVID is beyond me. Otherwise an affordable way to catch the latest movies on the big screen. Ten dollar movie tickets?? I can't remember what era when movie tickets were that cheap but it was probably a lifetime ago.

It is also home to Queensland's only indoor slopes for skiing and snowboarding. The facility caters to both beginners and experienced snow enthusiasts, providing an opportunity to learn up to 8 times faster than on real snow.
We love urban extreme, our go to play centre (traveling over an hour asks a half to get there). Plenty of tables, multiple options for kids with different preferences (ninja, trampoline, rock climbing, dodge ball, unlimited laser tag!!). Always super clean, seen the same staff here for years and not crazy loud and over simulating!! Great play option for the toddlers as well. Highly recommend!!

Urban Xtreme has heaps to do – skiing, climbing, trampolines, ninja and laser tag, all under one roof. The $10 extra hour deal (Hornets) is great value. Only thing I’d suggest is staff being a bit more on top of unruly kids in busy areas. Otherwise an awesome spot for families and parties.

We celebrated my Suns birthday at Urban Xtreme. Their app is user friendly. I managed to pick the menu and manage the RSVPs through the app. The day itself was beautiful. The kids played laser tag multiple times, did the ninja warrior and trampolines. This worked an appetite which was satisfied by good food. Thank you. We will be back.

We had a great experience at Urban Xtreme! We started the 10-session Ninja program last Thursday, and the first session was fantastic. It was very well-organized, the staff were friendly, and there are so many activities to choose from for kids of all ages. We’re excited to continue the program and look forward to coming back each week!

Took my grandkids (11, 12 and 3) for a 2-hour session over the school holidays and they all had a blast! The older two loved the Adventure Park with ninja courses, trampolines, dodgeball, parkour, launch jump and laser tag, while the youngest was kept busy in the Playland with the big tiger slide, climbing wall, jumping castle, trampoline and toddler area. There are some height/age restrictions, but it worked out well, plenty to keep them entertained and active. A great spot for families with kids of different ages. Recommend!
Dave J — Google review
We attended a few birthday parties which the kids always enjoy, but only recently met up with some friends for a play date here. The kids were all 5yrs old and were under the height limit for some of the courses but there was heaps to do still and they absolutely loved it! It’s a good location with plenty of parking, there’s food and drinks options, and clean facilities. There’s always visible staff doing the rounds to ensure safety which is appreciated! Will definitely be back!
Khristina R — Google review
We did the private ski lesson for our family today and had so much fun. Our instructor Chris was incredible and really engaged with our young kids during the activity to make them feel comfortable and confident. They absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back again. Huge thank you to Chris for his kindness and patience.
Tran L — Google review
Urban Xtreme in Brisbane feels completely neglected when it comes to the under-fives area. What’s meant to be a space for little ones is rundown, poorly maintained, and clearly an afterthought. Several parts of the play area are broken, and there’s next to nothing that actually entertains or engages children in this age range. It gives the impression that it hasn’t been properly cared for or updated in a long time. What’s worse, there’s an emergency exit with a low handle that opens straight into the car park — a serious safety hazard for toddlers. It’s shocking that this hasn’t been addressed. The bathroom facilities were also in poor condition — unclean, and out of five women’s toilets, only one had toilet paper. It really summed up the overall lack of attention and care across the venue. The staff seem undertrained and unable to manage even simple requests without waiting for a manager to step in, and the café food is inconsistent and low quality. The overall vibe is one of neglect and disorganisation rather than fun and family-friendly. And while the height limit may technically allow kids 7-10 yrs on the Ninja course, the reality is that most can’t even reach the equipment, making it more frustrating than enjoyable. For families with younger children, I strongly recommend choosing another venue. There are far better-maintained and genuinely child-friendly places in Brisbane that care about safety, hygiene, and engagement — all things Urban Xtreme seems to have forgotten.

Review of: Brisbane River Lunchtime Cruise We are from SA visiting our daughter in Brisbane. We had a wonderful time on the river cruise. Our daughter booked online. The website was easy to navigate. We took advantage of the discounted parking, which made the journey worry free. From the time we arrived to wait for boarding, our time on the boat and to disembarking, customer service and interactions with all the staff was excellent. They were happy & friendly and this definitely contributed to our experience. The entertainment was great, the boat was decorated beautifully with Christmas tree, decorations and fairy lights etc. The boat was spacious, which made it easy to move about. The facilities were clean. The food was delicious, lots of choice to cater to different tastes and there was plenty to eat. We had a window seat on the 2nd level, perfect spot to observe the scenery along the cruise route, including city views, bridges, parks etc, which also presented great photo opportunities, it was lovely. The roof top deck provided another option of enjoying the scenic views. The cruise was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. When we visit again, we would like to try the dinner cruise. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and thought it was a lovely way to spend an afternoon and enjoy the Brisbane sights on the water. We would highly recommend the experience.

Gorgeous showboat with impressive food, a full bar and family friendly entertainment. I've been on the Twilight Cruise once and lunchtime cruise twice, celebrating two anniversaries and a work function. Always had a great time, staff have always been lovely and accommodating, food is impressive and exceeded my expectations. They operate a buffet serving table by table for your first serving, then help yourself for consecutive servings. Drinks are moderately expensive but not excessively so; I strongly recommend buying drink token packs from the ticket office *before boarding* if you plan to drink, as they're better value. Great views of Brisbane city, several landmarks and suburbs. Fun light hearted commentary provided, with some interesting facts and Dad jokes weaved in.

Christmas lunch experience was wonderfully relaxing with the trip on the river allowing to fully see Brisbane from a different perspective. The KQ1 is old and could do with and interior refurbish. The Christmas lunch buffet had great variety and just good, average food. The desserts definitely amazing. The cocktails not the best.

Wow! This is all I can say! Such a wonderful birthday treat from my beautiful wife! I have noted that people (previous reviewers) have stated that they are expensive....absolutely not true! My birthday cruise was $99 each for 3 hours of luxury, service, views and fun! The buffet meal was excellent....the beers (included with the price) were great, the entertainer was incredible, the voyage was blissful and the views were wonderful. For $99 each you get A LOT! And they have a tiered pricing approach if you want a little cheaper, you can go on a Thursday or Friday. I cannot state enough that people need to get onto the Kookaburra Queen and have this experience....I know we will be again!

Had the pleasure of a date for one, on board the Kookaburra Queen for a lunch buffet cruise. All the staff were friendly and inviting. The boarding and seating system flowed well being guided to the upper deck. With 360 degree views and spotless windows, the cruise down to Southbank and back up past the story bridge, around and back again was spectacular - plus it was a magical day. A quick trip up to the roof top deck was the perfect opportunity to bask in the sun. Table service was provided with drinks easily accessible. The buffet lunch was varied and with great choices. I’m really looking forward to coming back in a couple of weeks for the dinner cruise.

The service was wonderful from the ticket office to the platform operaters to the staff on the boat. There was a great selection of food in the buffet to cater for all. The Angus beef and pork fell off our fork. The views from our table and outside were brilliant. Seeing the city lit up at night gave a different perspective. This was a wonderful and memorable way to spend our 20th wedding anniversary. Highly recommend this for a special occasion.

A fantastic venue to view a concert of this size, Bohemian Rhapsody. Price of food and drinks very reasonable compared to QPAC which is easily twice the price. Unaware of total capacity but I would estimate 800 max.

The brothers 60s performance was an enjoyable walk down memory lane! Very relaxing. They are coming back with a whole new show next year. World of Musicals 🎶🎼 was amazing! Big voices, true to musical rendition, and warmly intimate. Loved it, close to home, restaurant bar was full, and the kiosk was stocked! Even had cacutarie bouquets.. programs to purchase and then the crew signed, chatted and photoed with audience. Will be returning next year, definitely on to do list..

Great experiences with shows, holding school events, community breakfasts to name a few. Staff and tech team are always great. Top notch facilities.

Nice venue that offers food and drinks in foyer with some seating and room to catch up before the show. Saw Arj Barker Comedian so was a good laugh. I love the free parking too.

Shared a brunch with volunteers in the Logan City Council area as part of Volunteer Week. The Council invited over 400 volunteers from the community and presented awards. The Entertainment Centre has lots of off street parking, the amenities are in good order and able to cope well big groups. The brunch was ample with tea, coffee, OJ and water available.

Brisbane is a city that seamlessly combines urban living with a strong emphasis on water-based activities. During the annual whale watching season from June to November, Brisbane offers the perfect opportunity to witness the majestic Humpback and Southern Right whales in the calm waters of Moreton Bay. Brisbane Whale Watching provides an unforgettable experience, allowing visitors to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
Had a great day out on the Eye Spy vessel yesterday 12/7/25. We saw a couple of pods of whales so up close and playful. Jumping out of the water and breaching a lot. The crew are so friendly and welcoming. The boat is clean and well maintained. We saw turtles and dolphins and a hammerhead shark. I was so pleased with my trip yesterday. The weather was great too. Definitely recommend this.

This experience tosses between a 5 star 🌟 for a wonderful whale watching experience with so many whales and a beautiful boat topped off by an almost perfect day. And a 3 at best 🌟. The picnic lunches are good. You're not disappointed but not wowed. My only issue. We payed top dollar for the captain's deck seating. It's a limited space so seating inside and first seating is nice. But that's as far as the extra price gets you. Your "guarantee window seating" can have people from anywhere on the boat leaning against your window from outside completely blocking any inside viewing. Your VIP seating area is on the top deck of two seating areas. This means nothing, the entire boat is accessible by everyone. Not only can you not view anything from inside your also still elbow to elbow with everyone else who payed less then half of what you did. Don't let them rip you off, enjoy the experience with everyone else without the scam. The experience is absolutely amazing. But do not, pay for anything but the basic pricing.

A great day out on Eye Spy. A comfortable spacious catamaran with plenty of room for everyone on the viewing deck. The sail across Moreton Bay was lovely and we reached the whales very quickly once we got to the open ocean. The service from the whole team was very good, they clearly all know their role/ job on the day and work together well as a team. Loz was doing the commentary; she was wonderful : enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate about conservation. This company clearly care about the whales and want to educate visitors on their importance to the ocean's ecosystem. Beautiful, graceful intelligent creatures. We were so privaledged and grateful to see them. A great day out, thank you.

Lovely tour, saw a few different pods of whales which is obviously what we wanted. They were pretty calm though so only really captured the coming up for air moments. However we didn’t depart until 10:45 due to the bus being held up with other passengers. Not the operators fault but there was no effort to make the time up. Returned to the jetty just before 2:30pm considering when booking it says the tour runs for approx 5.5 hours this is unacceptable to me. If we had stayed out on the water for those extra 45mins we could have potentially gotten better footage/more activity. Or at the least got what was paid for.
Martin S — Google review
Absolutely incredible, amazing views of the (very curious) whales which came right up to the boat for over an hour, really nice lunch too! There was also a medical issue on board which the staff handled really well, very helpful and efficient 😊
Surabhi — Google review
There was a mix-up with my booking (totally my fault - I booked online a month ago from Toronto, Canada and thought it was for Thursday, not Friday). When I showed up at the pick-up spot this morning (wrong day), I panicked because I had been looking forward to this forever. I called the office and to my surprise, they kindly switched me last minute to today’s excursion with no issues at all. Honestly, I was so touched I almost cried. Their kindness set the tone for the whole day. 💙 I highly recommend booking the VIP whale watching experience - it includes a delicious lunch, priority seating up near the captains, plus pick-up and drop-off with the lovely Scott, who was so friendly. The boat ride itself was smooth and comfortable, and the entire crew made us feel like family. Loz was incredible - her knowledge of humpback whales and their behavior helped us spot them and capture amazing photos. Even though nature can’t be controlled, she knew exactly what to look for. Huge thank you to Jade, Seb, Loz , Justin, VJ, and Dess for making my experience absolutely top-notch. If you’re searching for things to do in Brisbane, especially during whale migration season, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you can’t miss. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Had the pleasure of going out on Eye Spy in July this year with my Support Worker and my assistance Dog Wicket. The staff were all amazing from my first enquiry with Loz through to booking and our day out. Loz’s commentary on the whales behaviours was phenomenal. Her knowledge was exceptional. I can’t speak more highly of Loz. Loz was instrumental in helping me pick the right space for my Support Worker, my Assistance Dog and myself for our amazing day out. I highly recommend Brisbane Whale Watching to anyone.

Took the last cruise of 2025, Oct 25. Spent about an hour with a mother calf pair. The calf was very active, breaching and jumping entirely out of the water. It was a lovely day. Highly recommend.

Was a great experience at Colour My Pot. We booked in for a 9am session and were able to stay for several hours until we had finished our piece. It was so relaxing and there was no rush. We were so happy with our final product and very excited to see it after being fired in the kiln. Thank you for a lovely day out. Would definitely come back again!

Disgusting, my daughter wanted to paint a bowl so I accompanied her , the cost $10 , for her $10 plus $38 for the bowl, she spent hours painting that bowl the next day we got a call to say someone broke it, as upset as she was we asked for a rufund, the person said no worries, instead of refunding the $58 they refunded $38 I sent an email and left a message, are you serious charging a young woman $20 to sit there and pay for something you guys broke, absolutely disgusting practice we definitely won’t be attending ever again. Since posting this they have fully refunded me , Thankyou very much.

I was lucky enough to stumble across this amazing place a few months ago and loved the experience so much I have been back 3 times in the last month alone. The staff were so welcoming and friendly going over different techniques and even offering an encouraging word when you and not feeling very creative. The hardest part is choosing what to paint from the vast selection. Will definitely be back!

Colour my pot was a wonderful experience, they took a personal request of mine for my girlfriends birthday which I really appreciate, they also host kids birthday parties and have a really nice coffee place next door. They were extremely accommodating and explained everything to us in detail. I would recommend this to anyone who interested in arts/crafts or a nice time out with friends/family In conclusion, really friendly, accommodating and fun! 5/5 easily

Incredibly accommodating and great staff who are willing to explain how everything works, to everyone that comes in. Fyi- Once you finish painting, they glaze and fire your pieces, which you will need to go back for. Which is a great service, I might need to stop and do another piece while I'm there for pick up! It's very addictive. Fun for the whole family for sure!

The moment you enter, you are greeted by a symphony of colours and a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately puts you in the mood for creativity. The studio is beautifully decorated, creating a perfect blend of inspiration and relaxation. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease, ready to unleash your inner artist. The staff are true artisans of customer service. From the moment I walked in, they went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was nothing short of perfect. The team's enthusiasm for their craft is infectious, and their knowledge and guidance truly enhanced my painting journey. They were patient, attentive, and always ready to offer a helping hand or a creative suggestion. The variety of pottery options available is impressive, catering to artists of all skill levels. The shop provides a wide array of colours, tools, and stencils to choose from, allowing for endless possibilities and ensuring that every creation is unique. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a beginner, it has something for everyone.

I did my first mug ever and it was a wonderful experience. It is perfect to go on a solo date or with some friends/family. It was nice to work on my creativity doing something different. Definitely I will come back soon. Thank you so much for your attention and help.

As an owner of a support company, we were looking for activities of inclusion. My gosh did we find it with colour my pot. A little bit of something for everyone. You get to go on an adventure of creativity, no matter what your skill set. The staff were incredibly helpful, and only too happy to assist with any questions that you may have when creating your perfect piece. There was a bustle of activity and this did not stop everybody from having their needs met at any time required. The time flew by as we chatted while relaxing in the vibe of the studio. Pieces were able to be fitted for anybody’s budget, and we were delighted with our results. Highly recommend this activity to anybody that’s just wanting to let the inner artist out. We will be back again and again and again.

Spirits of the Red Sand offers an immersive Indigenous storytelling experience, located just a 30-minute drive from the CBD. Visitors are treated to a traditional Welcome to Country ceremony during the day, followed by captivating performances featuring traditional song and dance. The evening culminates in a three-course dinner featuring unique Australian fare such as crocodile, kangaroo, and emu. Guests often have the opportunity to meet and greet with the cast and crew after the show.
Spirit of the Red Sands is an entertaining and thought provoking performance. This moving theatre allows the audience to engage in the history of Australia‘s colonisation by the English and the history of the aboriginal people in this context. It is a moving performance presented by a talented cast, many of whom are direct descendants of the the family that the story revolves about. It ends on a very positive note heralding an era of acknowledgement of wrongs, forgiveness and a willingness to merge two cultures to create one society. It is thought provoking, lingering long after the performance is complete. This is followed by a photo opportunity with the cast and a wonderful 3 course meal which includes the opportunity to sample some traditional aboriginal foods. Absolutely well worth attending! Highly recommended...

Great night out. The experience is very interactive and was loved by us and our kids. The story of clashing cultures hits home, but does it in a tactful way. The food was plentiful and was great. Highly recommended this to anyone who wants to learn about and experience a bit about our indigenous culture.

Powerful and at times heart breaking. Brilliant cast and crew, really enjoyed myself despite the rain. The government should fund this group to teach Gold Coast schools the history of first nations people. Keep doing what you do team, it was such a privilege to attend. Food was delicious too!

One day I went to the Welcome to Country Aboriginal Experience activity. It was my first contact with the Aboriginal world. The activity was really entertaining and interesting. They taught us different types of boomerangs (being able to paint one ourselves later), we learned about their customs and some words in their language, they explained things about their culture,... In short, after this I was left wanting more and the next day I went to The Evening Experience. An Aboriginal show that aims to teach you a little more about their history. Super recommended if you want to know more about the Aboriginal, counted and represented by themselves. Based on a real story that leaves you thinking a lot... And from dinner I can only say that it was spectacular, it was long since I enjoyed a show with dinner so much. Thank you very much to everyone who makes this possible. Highly recommended!!!

The Wild Food Festival was fabulous. Pity about the pending lockdown. There was some beautiful kangaroo from the coals, emu dogs, fish, turtle cooked by the peoples who have inhabited these lands for 50000plus years. I purchased authentic artwork from the artists. Took a walk through the bush Tucker garden which was opened today. Stay safe you mob and please can vaccinated to protect our communities.

The theatre play is based on a real, moving story - a great experience and a glimpse of history. The show takes you through the village, there's dancing, singing, storytelling, video, overall an excellent performance. The location of the show is perfect, within the historical village & museum, which really sets the scene. Dinner was lovely and is made of traditional foods. We highly recommend the show!

Our daughter has been at Infinity Circus and Acro for a few years now. She loves going to her Lyra and Acro classes every week. It has been a pleasure watching her confidence grow as she continues to improve and learn new skills. We look forward to the future as our girl continues to reach her goals with the encouragement and support from the teachers are who are very knowledgeable. Infinity offers a broad range of classes for all ages and skill levels and it is the perfect mix of fun and professional. We highly recommend for anyone looking for an activity to keep the kids active.

My 3 kids and I all attend here. As an adult I started out doing acro gaining flexibility and strength, And now loving aerial combining both skills learnt prior and new strength skills during aerial. My 3 girls have all started out doing acro and now do aerial and dance. We have found our niche in what we all love in one location. It's a friendly environment and very welcoming and looking forward to the opportunities this place with bring our family

My daughter has become so much more confident since taking classes (Acro & Lyra) at Infinity. She has made great friendships, not only with other classmates but teachers aswell. If you have a little one that loves to bend, flip, jump, climb I would highly recommend trying out the classes at Infinity!
Ella H — Google review
I have 5 girls currently taking classes at Infinity and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. We have found Infinity a fun and supportive environment that is inclusive of all children. All the staff are amazing and kind and my girls absolutely adore them and love taking classes here.
Angel M — Google review
I absolutely love Infinity Circus and Acro. They are always going above and beyond for their students of all abilities. We attend the homeschool groups and my daughter has a complex diagnosis. Not only do Kyla and Chloe go and above and beyond to help her feel welcome, supported and safe. They also do this whilst running the classes. They are professional and genuine. Kyla helps my daughter through her anxiety and makes sure she is comfortable to join in, whilst offering her a break when needed with her anxiety. Chloe recognised my daughter after a long break and it made my daughter feel tickled pink. I also love working with Sophia behind the scenes, weather it be enrolling, accounts or any questions I have. She is prompt and professional on her replies. The team here make me feel reassured my daughter is safe in their care during classes and best of all she has a ball. If you are thinking about trying, I suggest go ahead and do it. You won't regret it.
Kristy-Lee — Google review
The instructors are incredibly supportive, providing personalized encouragement that helps each participant thrive. The environment at Infinity Circus and Acro fosters creativity and collaboration, making it a wonderful place for kids to grow both physically and socially. It's truly inspiring to see how much joy and confidence these activities bring to my daughters life.
Jaime-Lee A — Google review
Our daughter started at Infinity doing holiday lessons and then transitioned to Aerial and Acro classes from there. We've been to regular classes for 5 terms now and the growth we've seen in skills and confidence is incredible. The range of class times means you can almost always find a time to suit which is brilliant around other extra curriculars.
Melissa R — Google review
My daughter has been attending Infinity Circus and Acro for almost two years now, and it's the first activity (out of many!) that she’s stuck with and genuinely looks forward to every week. She absolutely loves acro...and I believe a huge part of that is thanks to the incredible staff and culture at Infinity. The environment is the perfect balance of genuine warmth, care and support, with just the right amount of structure, discipline, and motivation to help the kids thrive. It’s amazing to watch the students cheer each other on, especially when they're working on challenging tricks, it really speaks to the positive and uplifting community the team has cultivated. As a parent, I also love the clear communication and seamless organisation from the owner and admin team. Everything runs smoothly, and both students and parents know exactly what to expect. The viewing deck is a great for parents, I like being able to watch and my daughter likes to know I'm there, without being involved or interfering. And a big shoutout for the end-of-year concert - no over-the-top expenses, like most other dance and gymnastic studios! It’s a refreshingly reasonable approach, with hired costumes that still look fantastic. My daughter is now a full-blown cartwheel addict, and I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend Infinity Circus and Acro to anyone looking for a well-run, inspiring, and joyful space for kids to thrive.
