This park is absolutely stunning! The views over the city and the Swan River are amazing especially at sunset. The gardens are very well maintained with many native plants and flowers to enjoy. Highly recommended for a relaxing and peaceful time ☀️🌇🍀🌴

Kings Park and Botanic Garden in Perth is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places to visit in Western Australia. Spanning over 400 hectares, it combines stunning natural bushland, landscaped gardens, and breathtaking views of the city and Swan River. From the moment you arrive, the park feels peaceful and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to unwind, explore, and connect with nature. The Botanic Garden is especially impressive, showcasing an incredible variety of native Australian plants. Walking through the gardens, you not only enjoy vibrant colors and unique plant life but also learn about Western Australia’s diverse flora. The wildflowers in spring are absolutely spectacular and attract visitors from all over the world. For families, the park is ideal, with plenty of open spaces for picnics, playgrounds for children, and shaded areas to relax. One of the highlights is the elevated Lotterywest Federation Walkway, which takes you through the treetops and offers stunning views of the Swan River and Perth skyline. The park also features beautiful memorials, statues, and cultural sites that add a sense of history and reflection to the visit. What makes Kings Park special is that it has something for everyone—nature lovers, families, fitness enthusiasts, and those simply seeking a quiet moment with scenic views. Whether you go for a morning walk, a family outing, or to enjoy the sunset over the city, it always feels refreshing and memorable. Kings Park and Botanic Garden is truly a jewel of Perth and a must-see destination.
Pravin R — Google review
Kings Park and Botanic Garden is a vast park in Perth with an adjoining botanical garden. I visited Perth mainly to see the wildflowers in spring, which are famous here. During my three days in Perth, I came to Kings Park all three days. Although the weather wasn’t great for the first two days, the final day was sunny and bright, and I was able to see many plants shining beautifully in the sunlight. The park is very large, and walking around the entire area requires some stamina, but the Botanic Garden section is a comfortable size to explore on foot. I realized that many of the “wildflowers” here are actually well-maintained and cultivated under the management of the garden — not truly wild in the sense of untouched nature. It was a bit unexpected, but I appreciated the care and effort put into preserving and showcasing so many native plants in one place. Since the park sits on a hill, the view of the city is also beautiful. It’s a relaxing place for both tourists and locals alike. You can easily reach Kings Park by taking the free Perth BLUE CAT bus, which is very convenient for visitors since the regular bus system requires a transport card or exact cash.

This place is a blessing in Perth. So close to the city and extremely accessible. Would be a great day out for a picnic or a nice stroll. Plenty of parking or take a free public transport from the city. Enjoy the native flora and fauna while you have your picnic or social catch up in the park or one of the restaurants.
Deepak S — Google review
We walked around the park for 4 hours and still didn't cover half of it. The look outs, tree top walk, the gardens, the walks are all amazing. Perth really has outdone itself and this place is definitely a gift to the locals and visitors.
Kylie R — Google review
We visited just as the spring wildflowers had arrived into bloom. Various flowers across the botanical area of the park with plenty of colour even if we did have to dodge the odd rain shower. Make time to walk the war memorial and flame, plus the glass elevated walkway. Our fave flower was the Kangaroo Paw, something we had never seen before. The park is easy to get to, just take the free Blue CAT bus from within the city centre.
Shaun L — Google review
A must-visit when in Perth! The panoramic views of the city skyline and the Swan River from Kings Park are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. It's such a peaceful oasis right in the heart of the city, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic on the well-maintained lawns. The State War Memorial area is very poignant and adds to the park's rich history. You can easily spend hours here just soaking in the beautiful atmosphere and scenery. A true gem of Perth. Don't miss the treetop walk!"
Bernadette — Google review
Kings Park is immaculate and the views over the city are amazing! The beautiful gardens are filled with WA native flowers and the ANZAC memorial is a must see. There is also a memorial for the Bali bombings in 2002 and 2005. We enjoyed some lunch at the Cafe, a little expensive, but it was OK.

AQWA The Aquarium Of Western Australia is a top marine attraction in Western Australia, featuring the largest single aquarium and an impressive walk-through underwater tunnel. Visitors can marvel at giant sharks, rays, turtles, and rare sea creatures like leafy seadragons. The DangerZone showcases deadly marine life while the turtle rescue center offers a heartwarming experience.
Really good aquarium with stunning scenery flowing through the plentiful things you could do. Recommended to bring kids for a fun day out, especially with food and interactive experiences near the end of the aquarium. Be warned, could be a bit crowded on some days and times so be sure to book in advance. Make sure to take photos to remember it.
Austin — Google review
The aquarium was so cool! It had a glow in the dark feel to it. My friend and I really enjoyed it, as we saw many different sea creatures such as clown fish, sea dragon, stingray and shark. It was nice to see all the kids with their parents enjoy it so much too, as it adds to the positive vibe. Also a very close walk from the Hillarys Boat Harbour too~
David B — Google review
I love everything about this place, as does my daughter ♥️ their are so many different species of sea life 🧬 it is truly astounding. The gift shop might be a bit of a leap when it comes to it's prices but the cafe is worth every bite of its food. There are plenty of photo opportunities for the kids and family. The touch pool is a different experience entirely, teaching both kids and adults hands on about our astonishing sea life and it's ecosystems. You can also book to dine under the sea, a dream-like experience with top tier five star ⭐ dishes. The aquarium itself was built so beautifully and sophisticatedly, their are different sections for different types of sea life. My personal favourite is the massive viewing window downstairs outside, You can sit in the seats provided and watch hundreds of different fish 🐠🐟 and coral life living in one massive tank, co-existing and living peacefully. The room is so peaceful and dimely lit it's almost possible to fall asleep. Another "must-see" exhibit is "The mantis shrimp" these amazing creatures have the biggest blows of the ocean 🌊💪🏻 small but mighty and Beautiful in color (rainbow). The service at aqua is amazing with no waits or lines usually, unless you're in the gift shop or cafe. Most of the exhibits are educational aswell so you learn as you explore. They have it all here, it's definitely a must see destination.
Drizzy D — Google review
A great place to visit, especially if you have young kids. It's perfect for a weekend trip during the summer. They have their own café, but if you'd like more options, you can walk to Breakwater, which is within walking distance. There are plenty of interactive and educational tools for children to learn about marine life. Definitely a good destination for families with young kids.
Deric C — Google review
Loved the aquarium, well laid out, nice tanks, some very vibrant colours and lighting, particularly for the corals, and a lovely vibe about the place. Some amazing creatures on display and plenty of information for each one. My son did the scuba with sharks experience and it was great, well organised and he loved it. Special shout out to Debbie in reception. She is so lovely, an amazing professional and friendly person, and perfect first contact when you enter. We will be back when next in Perth.
Christy M — Google review
AQWA is a wonderful experience! The underwater tunnel is truly breathtaking, and the exhibits showcase Western Australia’s marine life beautifully. My daughter especially enjoyed the touch pools, and the whole place was clean, well-organized, and engaging. It’s not the largest aquarium I’ve visited, but it’s definitely a must-see in Perth.
Paulo — Google review
We had a wonderful evening at the dine beneath the sea experience at AQWA celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. From beginning to end all staff were extremely friendly, attentive and professional. The food was delicious, and there was a variety of drinks available, with staff frequently topping up your glass. The tables are pre-allocated (and are stationary throughout the night) making the transition from upstairs to downstairs very smooth. Overall we had a lovely experience and would recommend to others looking for a dining experience in a unique location.
Jayde S — Google review
It’s a nice place for a day trip and beautiful underwater experience tunnel. Much better than the ones in other Australian states , and really great engineering construction with a thick glass wall structure!

Perth Zoo is a charming and historic destination that offers a wide variety of animal exhibits, behind-the-scenes tours, picnic areas, and cafes. The zoo is home to over 1200 animals from 164 different species originating from Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America. Visitors can encounter African Lions, Asian Elephants, Giraffes, Penguins, Numbats, Meerkats, Rhinoceroses and many more fascinating creatures.
One of the best zoos in the world. I am from Singapore and I am truly loving it! It's well organized and it's easy to locate where we are from the map. The animals are well taken care of and beautiful. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The plants and trees are amazing! I bought some souvenirs from the gift shops too! Highly recommended!
Din N — Google review
It is a great place especially for young children. Big and spacious all around. Huge grasslands for them to run around to expend their energy. There’s also a cafe and a playground for children of different ages to rest and enjoy A wide variety of animals, animal enclosures were all well designed to provide the best viewing experience knowing that animals don’t stay put at one place, there are different angles in enclosures for viewing
Eileen O — Google review
Would have been 5 stars HOWEVER it was a very rude shock to find that the drinks vending machine that advertised 600ml drinks as being $5 has actually also charged me a $3 service fee PER DRINK. Drinks should be advertised as $8 if it's going to cost me $8. Outrageous vending machine charge aside, we had an absolutely wonderful day at the perth zoo. There is way too much glass/perspex. This stuff is so hard to see and photograph through😭😭. There were a number of animals we were unable to see but that's how zoos are. It's a beautiful zoo to walk around, the grounds are well established, well maintained and absolutely gorgeous. The paths are pretty easy to follow and animal placement makes sense. I love the rainforest - where the deep dark wood is at the moment - so so pretty. My son loved the suspension bridge. He also loved the playground and the gruffalo trail. The new monkey towers/ropes near the main grass area is fantastic and i bet the monkeys love it too. The reptile house is incredible. The nocturnal house however - it was soooo hard to see anything at all. It was just too dark. We've been to a lot, unfortunately perth, yours is a miss - hopefully it's in the pipeline to be updated like your reptile house obviously has been. Lunch was pricey and tbh not fantastic. I don't know why zoos can't make good food!?!?! And $7 for a golden gaytime🤯🤯. But at least there hasn't been a $3 service fee chucked on that one - yet. Every staff member we came in contact with was brilliant. I'm really happy you still give out paper maps too - so so so much easier than telling us to look on our phone, in the sun, when you can't see the screen. Also, kids like having the map. We were at the zoo from 10am-4:30pm. Saw everything but the Australian animals (we went to a wildlife park yesterday so figured we could safely skip that bit to save time) and had a thoroughly wonderful time. That charge has left a sour taste in my mouth though.
Frances — Google review
Kids thoroughly enjoyed it! Solid day out, lots to see and you really never know what's around the corner. Clean and tidy, great facilities! Feeding the animals and talks given by the staff made an interesting, educational trip worth while! Thank you Perth Zoo
John T — Google review
Spent almost a full day there. Kids love it as animals got pretty up close. Actually think it's better than many other zoos as you're literally next to the animal, such as the penguins. Gibbons were the best and highlight of the day, swinging all over the park for our viewing pleasures. There's also a sheltered quiet area for resting while you sit there and watch the Gibbons rest play and do their thing. Toilets were clean and lots of water refill sections. And the massive playground just next to the cafe was a bonus where you could watch the kids while eating.. and lots of birds to chase for kids. Just make sure you don't step on their poop or get chased/swopped by them if you're having food. Love the zoorasic enclosure too, kids can try to paleontologist while parents rest.
Shannon R — Google review
Great well-kept, wide variety of animals, reptiles and birds. Would be amazing if there were more opportunities for interactions like animal feeding. The cafe and play area is always busy. The current dinosaur display is pretty cool!
Daphne — Google review
Perth zoo has Great areas like the cafe and surrounding areas, dinosaurs, reptiles & penguin enclosure. But pretty much every other enclosure was dated, unmaintained, poorly designed for veiwing ( nocturnal house is the worst )the actual animal and hadn't changed since my last visit 11years ago. Other community funded zoos like Rockhampton Qld put it to shame and their free entry! I'll be back a few more times this year to enjoy the zoo and hopefully see some of the animals that were off display or invisible.
Tyron R — Google review
Perth Zoo is a tropical oasis filled with animals from around the globe. It, in my opinion represents a fantastic day out for the family. The facilities are second to none. Take a picnic and make a day of it. Or buy your food there. This does add to the budget spend. There is plenty to do and see. Do your homework and roll up for daily activities at allotted time points. Enjoy.

Caversham Wildlife Park is a family-run park located within Whiteman Park, just a short drive from Perth. The park is home to around 200 species of animals and offers farm shows and opportunities for up-close encounters with the wildlife. Visitors can also explore the expansive Whiteman Park, which features walking trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Additionally, the surrounding area offers attractions such as water parks, outdoor adventure parks, resorts, and picturesque wineries in the Swan Valley.
This park is fabulous. So many animals to see and the park is lovely to explore. It's well set out with the paths taking you off on little loops to see the animals. It was lovely getting to pat and interact with the kangaroos and my son was absolutely delighted to be able to meet Jessie the wombat and have a photo with her. The highlight of our perth trip.
Frances — Google review
Just got back from visiting that wildlife park in Perth, and wow, it was awesome! The place is really well-maintained, and it's easy to get around with the kids. I particularly loved the kangaroo feeding; it was such a cool experience getting up close to them. The staff were super friendly allowing the kids to touch and carry some of the reptiles. The kids absolutely loved it too, and were so excited. Honestly, there's so much to see and do there; you could easily spend a whole day. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area! It's a great day out for the whole family, and you can take some amazing pictures. Just note that it's going to be very crowded on the weekend.
Jacob N — Google review
This is beautiful wildlife park that you should bring your family to when coming to Perth on a vacation. There are plenty of parking spaces here and there is a long peaceful drive from the entrance of Whiteman Park to this place. Just be mindful not to come during a rainy day as your experience will be affected. The park is very clean and the staffs are friendly everywhere from the ticket booth to the animal farm show. We spent over 3 hours here with the family and the kids were loving it. Besides admiring the various animals and birds here, we also fed the kangaroos and checked out the koala photo area which had a very long queue. May I also add that we were delighted to have seen a baby koala and baby white kangaroo in its mother’s pouch as it is not something you see often. While the food at the cafeteria isn’t the best, it did not affect our overall experience as we came here to let our kids socialise with animals and enjoy the beauty of nature. I hope we will have another opportunity to visit this place again if we visit Australia.
Shanarai — Google review
Caversham Wildlife Park was such a fun experience! It’s amazing how close you can get to the animals — feeding and interacting with them made the visit extra special. The park has an impressive number of animals, from kangaroos to farm animals, and everything felt well cared for and organized. It’s a great place for families, couples, or anyone who loves animals. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Ethan W — Google review
We enjoyed this place although it is never easy seeing animals in enclosures. They appeared well looked after and loved. We thought the fact that you can get photos with the animals at no additional cost to entrance fee Great.
Susan W — Google review
“We had an absolutely fantastic day at Caversham Wildlife Park! The opportunity to get up close with native Australian animals — from kangaroos and wallabies to koalas and wombats — made it a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended for families with children’s to explore Australian wild animals and birds.
Kuppuswamy G — Google review
We took a drive out to Caversham Wildlife Park. It was our first visit and we had a great time. Highlights were feeding the kangaroos and holding Koalas and snakes. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and we would definitely come back for another visit.
Jon L — Google review
We walk there from Whiteman train station. Along the way, we met many wild wallaby jumping and very active. But once we go to caversham, I notice that kangaroo and wallaby always resting, sitting, lying. They are not active, compare to the one I met outside caversham wildlife. Some animal are nocturnal which I understand why they look very tired.

The Perth Mint, located on Hay Street in Perth, Western Australia, is the oldest working mint in Australia. Established at the end of the 19th century, it offers tours of its vaults and an 1899 melting house. Visitors can witness demonstrations of gold bullion bar production and explore various gold-related exhibits. The facility also features interactive displays showcasing the coin and medallion-making process.
Great tour with informative talk by our guide George. The gold pouring part is definitely the highlight. Being able to take home your own minted coin is a nice touch too. Very popular so don’t just turn up - book online if you want to choose when you get on a tour. Plenty of very expensive options to give as presents for that special person!!!
Dawn H — Google review
The tour is really cool, filled with lots of interesting tidbits. The highlight of course being the live gold pour! You get to take home a medallion that you can see being minted. David the tour guide was great. The 9.30 am tour size is smaller.

A very informative and interesting place to visit. We did the mint tour, shout out to our guides Nicole and Dakota, they were very knowledgeable, professional and engaging. We loved the interactive activities but the highlight was definitely the 1 tonne coin. Worth a visit.
Rach C — Google review
The tour was fantastic, seeing Sophie pouring molten gold to form an ingot was something I'll remember for a long time. among the other highlights was the giant 1 tonne $,1000,000 gold coin, with a current value of $214,000 000, and the chance to lift a 2.4 kilo gold bar if you're in Perth a tour of the mint truly is a must

Wow so much gold. The tour was fantastic, our hosts were excellent and funny. Worth a visit if going to Perth. Best to book tour before going.

Nestled in the vibrant Perth Cultural Centre, The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is a treasure trove for art enthusiasts. This gallery showcases an impressive array of both classic and contemporary regional artworks, reflecting the rich tapestry of Australian culture from 1829 to today. Visitors can immerse themselves in a diverse collection that highlights pieces from the Indian Ocean Rim alongside traditional and modern Indigenous art.
A must-see while in Perth. Adjacent to the train station and easy to access. AGWA has a wonderful collection of Aboriginal, regional Australian, and modern art. I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour and wandering around solo.
Todd M — Google review
The gallery itself isn’t very large and the exhibitions themselves are quite small. At the time of writing there was the Cast In Bronze exhibition which had some interesting pieces, Elise Blumann exhibition, Balancing Act exhibition and the Revivification exhibition all quite small and none that I would say are must see’s. Even the statue garden on the roof top didn’t have many statues. I feel if they had less exhibitions and made the ones they have larger and more interesting it would greatly improve. Possibly the next exhibitions would change my opinion but I really don’t feel like I need to hurry back.
Casandra T — Google review
The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is a free-entry art museum located just north of Perth Station. One thing to note is that it cannot be accessed directly from street level—you need to go through the Level 1 concourse of the station, which can be a bit confusing at first. The gallery’s collection felt smaller than I expected, but it clearly shows respect and consideration for Aboriginal culture through many of its exhibits. When I visited, there was a special exhibition of monochrome photography. Since I used to attend a monochrome photography class myself, I wanted to take my time appreciating the works—but there were so many pieces that I only managed to view them briefly. Still, it was a highly enjoyable experience. Considering that admission is free, AGWA is an excellent spot to visit on a rainy day or when you’re looking for a calm, cultural experience in Perth.
Yoichi ( — Google review
Having recently lived in Brisbane, Canberra and the ACT, I will be honest and say that I find the AGWA underwhelming compared to what you’d expect from a state gallery The layout feels sparse, and while the Indigenous collection is important, the rest kinda lacks depth. The building itself is nice though.
Chiel ( — Google review
Lovely peaceful art gallery with a diverse array of pieces. Joined a free tour (11am with Jill) and learned a lot of details you wouldn't otherwise know. Spent a happy couple of hours here.
Adelina H — Google review
Loved it, was so immersed in the work of Hale Tenger that I didn’t take any pictures, Borders / Borders was my favorite exhibition, would recommend.

Great place to spend the day looking at art and learning about the art landscape of WA. Bonus points for the friendly staff and the great contemporary art exhibition. Especially commendable is the art piece "Revivification", which is a must see.

It's not the Louvre but there's always an interesting exhibition going on, for a small city gallery. The building itself is nice to look at, be sure to see the view from the rooftop.

Located in the Perth Cultural Centre, WA Museum Boola Bardip has recently undergone a four-year renovation, emerging as a captivating space to share Western Australia's diverse stories. The museum features exhibitions on the state's cultural and natural heritage, multicultural population, and interactive technology. With eight permanent galleries showcasing fossils, specimens, historical artifacts, and immersive displays of live music and entertainment history, visitors can explore Western Australia's rich social and cultural history.
Absolutely loved the Terracotta Warriors Exhibition 🤩 Being able to see these 2,000+ year-old treasures up close was incredible — history really came alive. Perfect for kids and adults alike, with informative displays and a really engaging setup. Recommend for a family outing or anyone fascinated by ancient history!
Andrea L — Google review
I visited about two hours before closing, so it wasn’t crowded and I could enjoy the exhibition at a relaxed pace. The displays were very impressive and made me feel as if I had actually traveled to China. The history was explained in detail through videos and exhibits, which made it very interesting. Many of the displayed items were made of precious metals and still shone beautifully, which was hard to believe considering their age. I’d love to come back next time to see the permanent exhibitions as well.

Took the time to visit Boola Bardip Museum and by chance they had a special exhibit of the Qin terracotta warriors. It was a very well presented exhibit with a very beautiful, very serene visual representation of the proposed afterlife of the emperor. Following that the museum was very informative with the specifics of WA and the geology of the area and the mineral rich land it occupies. If you have the time it is worth a visit.
Joe L — Google review
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at WA Museum was way more impressive than I imagined. Seeing these ancient warriors up close was mind-blowing — the details and history behind them are just incredible. The exhibition is laid out really well, with lots of interesting info and interactive displays that make the whole experience come alive. It’s not too crowded, photos are allowed, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. If you’re in Perth, this is definitely something you shouldn’t miss — I left feeling like I’d just travelled back in time to ancient China!

Great museum with plenty of interactive parts to keep the kids entertained throughout. We were luckily enough to visit when the Teracota Warriers were on display which was amazing to learn about and see. We really enjoyed our visit.
Jon L — Google review
I mainly went to learn more about the aboriginal community and had the opportunity to take the tour with Aprita, and it was absolutely worth the trip. I had no idea about their sad history until my visit to Australia, and hearing bits and pieces along my travels has been eye-opening. Having the WA history being brought to light for others to learn about directly from an aboriginal was impactful for me. I wish Aprita all the best and hope she never loses her passion.

Took the grandchildren to see the Terracotta Warriors exhibition. What a sight to see these 2000 yr. old soldiers and horses plus lots of other artefacts. I recommend going to see it for yourself. I've only included a few photos so as not to spoil it for you. And it was really well run by very helpful staff. Also has a gift shop.

I spent 5 hours in this museum but I could have stayed there for longer if my feet didn’t hurt. There’s so much variety and there’s interesting expositions for all ages: kids to adults. Greatest room imo was the whale skeleton!

Water park
Adventure World is Perth's premier theme park, offering an array of thrilling rides and attractions for visitors of all ages. The park boasts over 25 exhilarating rides, including the award-winning Abyss roller coaster and the enchanting Dragons Kingdom. Additionally, Adventure World is set to unveil a $7 million mega water slide, making it the steepest, tallest, and longest of its kind globally.
Just loved Adventure world! We've been to the 2 water parks in Melbourne where we live and all the theme parks in Gold Coast. Honestly didn't expect much in Perth but wow we're we surprised. The roller-coaster was super fun! Only about a 5-10min wait, I loved how the split the line from front and back seats so it's faster. Personally I think the ride could have been faster but still great. The Goliath was epic, a must see. Cracken was great too, very similar to the ones in the east with little wait. Go karts go about 30kmph so a little slow but kids loved it, you need a tshirt and closed shoes. We had our 3yo with us, so we spent a lot of time at the toddler/little kids area. Great space and so many rides. I think adventure world beats all the east theme parks in this department. The kids were there for 2hours and will loved it. Loads of car park space, lockers and toilets for everyone. Highly recommend going.

Heaps to do and see, for all ages. We were they from opening and took snacks to save money for a souvenirs / matching bracelets. Lots has improved since this place opened. Fond memories for everyone.
Jenn ( — Google review
Definitely come to Adventure world during the weekdays between morning to afternoon, there is less rush and you’ll make your money’s worth by coming. Sure is one of the most expensive parts of Perth, but utilising your season pass will pay off the fun. Perhaps one of my favourite rides was the abyss, the dynamic and the thrill gave an excitement which made me go on for six times. Food on the other hand was satisfactory, I ordered cheese pizza which was quite expensive considering how small it was, it came out quite burnt. Luckily, the lady was nice and gave me another pizza but it was still burnt. But I’m not a fussy eater so I ate the pizza anyway. Overall Adventure world is costly but it is a nice place with a nice environment and SpongeBob like song choices. It’s a family fun environment and has great ride options however they should add a lot more rides. The cost is way too much so you should get the season pass. Overall four star rating

Took 5 grandchildren there durning the school holidays. They had a ball. I hardly saw them I got to sit in the shade and relax with a wine while they played and had rides etc.
Janette B — Google review
We’ve been Adventure World season pass holders for two years now - mainly because it’s right next to our son’s ice hockey training at Cockburn Ice Arena, so it’s been a convenient place to unwind after games. Last year, we went four or five times and had some great experiences with friendly and proactive staff. However, our recent visit (Sat 18 Oct) was disappointing. The park was crowded (as it often is), and we waited around 40 minutes for just one ride. It’s a consistent issue - if you’re there for only 2 hours, you’re lucky to experience three or four rides. What made this visit particularly unpleasant was an incident on the pedal ride (the one where you cycle around the park) at 16 55 pm on Sat 18 Oct (giving you the exact time so you can find out who was working on the ride then - 2 young ladies - and provide them with adequate training). A group of teenagers behind me repeatedly bumped into my carriage, even after I asked them to stop. It eventually caused me to be pushed into a staff member at the unloading area, who initially thought it was my fault. Although the situation was later understood, it was disappointing that one of the attendants chose to turn it into a joke rather than handle it seriously (her exact words to the teenagers were: so, are you gonna pay me money to forgive you for your behaviour?) It didn’t feel professional or safe at all, and there was no: so sorry you had to go through this - zero empathy (instead I was accused of bumping into the attendant on purpose). Adventure World has a lot going for it - beautiful grounds, fun rides, and family-friendly facilities - but staff training really needs improvement. Team members should be better equipped to handle guest behaviour, have difficult conversations respectfully, and maintain a sense of authority without escalating situations. We always bring our own food because the food lines are long and prices are quite high when the park is crowded. Unfortunately, after this experience, we’re reconsidering renewing our season pass next year.

Adventure World is a fantastic theme park that offers a great mix of thrilling rides, exciting water slides, and a fun atmosphere. I recently visited the park and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the incredible selection of rides. The Abyss roller coaster was an absolute adrenaline rush, with its steep drops and fast twists. I also enjoyed the Kraken, a unique water slide that sends you plummeting down a near-vertical drop. For those looking for something a bit more relaxed, the park also offers a variety of family-friendly rides. The water park section of Adventure World is equally impressive. The Kahuna Falls is a massive water playground with multiple slides and water features, perfect for cooling off on a hot day. The Lagoon is a huge pool that's great for swimming and relaxing. In addition to the rides and water slides, I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the park. The grounds were well-maintained, and the facilities were spotless. This made for a more enjoyable experience overall. I also had the chance to attend one of Adventure World's night time events. The atmosphere was electric, with music, lights, and special entertainment. It was a truly memorable experience. Overall, I highly recommend Adventure World to anyone looking for a fun-filled day out. With its thrilling rides, exciting water slides, clean environment, and amazing night time events, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Ben F — Google review
Sunday session, not that crowded, but got busier through the afternoon. Plenty of food and beer available, roller coaster and water slides were great. If you're into the gokarts, get that done first before it gets busy as the line can be slow.

Adventure World in Bibra Lake, WA, is a fun theme park located just 20 minutes from Perth. It has exciting roller coasters like the Abyss and thrilling water slides like the Kraken. The park is great for kids, with areas like Dragon’s Kingdom for young children and Kahuna Falls, a big water playground. Adventure World is open from late September to late April, and you can enjoy all the rides and attractions with one entry fee. The park is known for its friendly staff and clean facilities. Adventure World is a fantastic spot for a day of fun with family and friends! 🎢🌊

Cottesloe Beach is a stunning, patrolled beach with white sand that offers various water activities such as swimming, diving, snorkeling, and surfing. The southern section of the beach is calm and shallow, making it safe for children, while the northern section provides good waves for body surfers. The beach features a picturesque pavilion nestled among grassed terraces and tall pines overlooking the ocean.
Wow what a sunset over the Indian Ocean. Have never seen so many people sat down just watching a sunset. Cottesloe is a special place and it seemed fitting that we ended the Perth leg of our trip watching the sun go down. Awesome.

Clean ocean, well maintained foreshore paths, the beach itself however has too many submerged rocks which combined with the waves can be dangerous at times.

A beautiful beach although for whatever reason it’s sometimes very smelly with seaweed. The exercise park is great although the 5G tower from the OBH emits some seriously high levels of EMFs, which point directly at it. Overall I do like it very much

Great variety of shows and activities for toddlers. And the membership is good value. We’ll be back. Would be good is they could seperate school incursions from all coming into the toddlers / young children area at once as it’s a bit intense for the little kids.

Was disappointed. I went years ago, in the 90s and it was awesome, but today it was like just kindy stuff and a few buttons to push where nothing exciting happened. Miss 7 year old wanted to leave after 10 minutes of trying to find something interesting. The planetarium was ok, but was hoping for something fun and exciting to watch. The solar system theme was interesting but it went on too long and rather repetitive. Sorry.

Scitech itself is quite good, we go quite often. As we know it gets busy, my wife lined up for the puppet theatre (which is for 3-7 year olds) 10 mins before start time. Bought the 2 small kids over 5mins before and wouldnt let them in as it was full (not even 1 of them to sit on lap). Other grandparents/parents quite rude inside also regarding seats.

Fremantle Prison is a significant historical site, serving as an interactive cultural exhibit on convict life. It offers tours and features a cafe for visitors to explore. Located in the town of Fremantle, this large penitentiary is the state's first jail and the largest structure built by convicts. The area also boasts other attractions such as the Western Australian Maritime Museum, which overlooks the Indian Ocean and showcases various maritime artifacts including a winning America's Cup yacht, Australia II.
Super fun tour!! I did the combo Convicts tour (1.5 hours) and Tunnels tour (2.5 hours) with the YHA discount and I only payed 68$. The guides are hilarious and the prison itself is definitely worth exploring with multiple tours, but if you only have time for one I recommend the tunnels one. I enjoyed every single second of my visits!!!
Carola G — Google review
I joined two tours consecutively, True Crime and Behind Bars. The entire experience was great! From the moment we stepped in, all the staff were very welcoming and helpful. From the guy I assume was acting as concierge, the receptionist lady, all the way to the guides. They all made our experience seamless. Sylvia was our guide for the true crime tour and she was absolutely lovely! If you get the chance to join her tour, you're in for a treat! She was an ex prison officer at the Fremantle Prison, so her stories were even more chilling from a first person perspective. But her humour balanced it out perfectly. It was interesting to learn that most of the guides earlier on were prison officers but I believe Sylvia is one of the last of these guides. Annette was our guide for behind bars and she was so friendly and knowledgeable. I also appreciated how she constantly acknowledged the presence of Aboriginals in the history she talks about. Certainly would want to come back for tunnel tours if we are in Fremantle again.
Paige C — Google review
We took the 4 PM guided tour at Fremantle Prison and found it genuinely interesting. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging, and the historical insights were well presented. It’s definitely worth visiting if you’re curious about Western Australia’s convict past and prison architecture. However, we were quite disappointed by the lack of clear information beforehand. We had called in advance and were told that the site was only accessible via guided tours, and that there was no walk-through museum. Based on that, we scheduled our visit around the tour. Unfortunately, after the tour ended, we discovered that there is in fact a museum area at the front of the prison. No one mentioned this to us on the phone or when we arrived, which was frustrating. By the time we finished the tour, those areas had already been closed off, so we missed them entirely. It’s a real shame, because we would have planned our visit differently had we known. Clearer communication would have made a big difference.
Andrea — Google review
Visited yesterday and got to see and learn some more history of this great town of ours.. Was very interesting listening to the stories of early pioneers and convicts that shaped our city. Walking through the prison was thought provoking, certainly was tough on the occupants throughout the years.

We visited the Fremantle prison today (Tuesday) around 12.15pm and was luckily told there was a Behind the Bars tour at 12.30pm. There are other tours that goes on at different times and the Tunnel tours. We only opted for the one tour where we only had 6 other people in this tour group. Our tour guide was James. He was very humorous and engaging. James made the tour fun and interesting. Thank you James for making us giggle! Had a great time learning about the history of the prison and the life of a prisoner. Would definitely want to the other tours another time when I visit Perth again!!! NOTE it was not busy on this tour Ticket price: AUD 24pp Duration of tour: 1 hour and 15 mins
Hong T — Google review
We did the Behind Bars tour with Dave - perhaps the most animated and fabulous story teller I have come across! He made history come to life and everyone was captivated with the stories of the prison’s past. Such a fantastic experience and we will definitely be back to do some of the other tours on offer!
Natasha Y — Google review
Take a tour and get a brief history of the settlement of the convicted in Australia since late 1800s, and how it further became a prison. U can buy tickets at the entrance if u wish to take tour and look inside prison. Else a gallery is right at the entrance for a brief narrative. But will totally recommend a tour, Don't miss the historical escapades of Moondyne Joe and artworks of inmates.
Aishvarya V — Google review
We booked in advance and spoke to a lovely lady named Holly who helped us out with not only booking, gave us plenty of details and some ideas of what to do around Fremantle as we are from QLD. We had Lewis for our tunnel tour. He's knowledgeable with a sense of humour. Recommend if you're not claustrophobic and have a basic level of fitness. There's climbing down and up ladders. We had Nathan for our tour of the buildings. He's full of facts and information, even with all the questions our group asked. We had a great time and would happily go back.

Elizabeth Quay is a vibrant waterfront destination located on the edge of the Swan River in Perth. It offers a variety of attractions including shopping, cafes, boat tours, art installations, and museums. The area hosts numerous cultural festivals and events and features stylish bars, children's play areas, and diverse dining options. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the river throughout the day and into the evening. Elizabeth Quay also serves as a departure point for ferry rides to South Perth and other boat tours.
The Quay provides some of the best photo opportunities in Perth, framing the modern city skyline with water and the symbolic Bell Tower. The atmosphere here is a blend of romance and relaxed leisure. Sunset is gorgeous, in my opinion it’s the best time to visit as the area transforms with illuminated bridges and buildings, excellent for an evening strolls. Not far away is a carousel that is a favourite with children and adds a touch of classic fun to the waterfront.

Elizabeth Quay is a scenic harbourfront with modern office towers, dining spots, and plenty of space for a leisurely walk. From here, you can catch the ferry to South Perth in just 10 minutes, making it a great half-day experience when combined with a riverside stroll or meal. Walking across the Elizabeth Quay Bridge and then hopping on the ferry offers some of the best views of the city and river. The ideal times to visit are early morning before lunch or in the late afternoon towards dinner. Do note the area is open and unsheltered, so it can feel quite hot during the day.

We had such a lovely time at Elizabeth Quay today. The kids first had fun at the Island Playground, exploring, climbing, and playing to their hearts’ content. After that, they cooled off and splashed around at the Water Playground, which was the perfect way to enjoy the warm day. A little hard to park to come here but it was OK. The app it wanted me to pay wit didn't load properly. But i rang the council and they advised there were also machines on the footpath to use so we got it sorted. It was a lovely area to chill. Had it been a more appropriate time of day we could have got icecream. There were a lot of people using the space.

Kudos to the volunteers for the wonderful night. Oh they made it kids friendly too.

Awesome place day and night! Interesting museum and shop. We were lucky to be part of a group who camped overnight. Nice walk through area during the day observing the wildflowers and reading the information signs outside the various buildings. At night there is a golf buggy to drive you up to the various observatories. We opted to walk. We got a chance to see Saturn, the moon and various star clusters. It was a full moon which was great but difficult to see some stars as the moon was too bright. The volunteers were very knowledgeable. Afterwards we had a BBQ, great music and sat around a camp fire. Great experience! 👍👍👍

We included the Perth Observatory in our tour of the Bickley Valley on a Saturday afternoon. We were immediately greeted by lovely volunteers and opted to do a day tour with our family of 5 (2 adults, 15yo, 12yo, 6yo).We were guided by Patrick, who was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. Our family had a great time viewing the telescopes and learning about the history and the role Perth has played in some monumentous scientific endeavours. We are looking forward to returning for a night sky tour soon!

Visited on a rainy night, but clouds cleared and was able to sight Jupiter with her 4 moons! What a treat! Very informative and friendly volunteers who run the Observatory.

The Bell Tower, located near Elizabeth Quay in Barrack Square, is a modern landmark housing historic 16th-century church bells gifted from London. These bells have rung out to commemorate significant events throughout history. The tower also features a collection of rare artifacts and offers interactive tours where visitors can learn the art of chiming a bell. Additionally, it boasts an observation deck providing stunning 360-degree views of the city.
Although I chose not to go inside, simply viewing the Bell Tower from the outside was thoroughly worthwhile. Located on the edge of the Swan River at Barrack Square, this distinctive structure is one of Perth’s most recognisable landmarks. Completed in 2000 to celebrate the new millennium, the tower incorporates a remarkable set of 18 bells – including 12 from the historic St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in London, some of which date back over 600 years. Even without stepping indoors, the sense of heritage is evident. Architecturally, it’s a stunning fusion of modern materials: glass, steel and copper form an eye-catching spire that evokes both nautical imagery and contemporary design. It stands out beautifully against the skyline, particularly at sunset when the light plays off its metallic surfaces. The surrounding area is pleasant to explore, with Elizabeth Quay and landscaped paths providing a peaceful setting and excellent views across the water. Even without a tour, the Bell Tower offers a striking visual experience – a perfect blend of old-world significance and modern creativity.

Awesome place to visit. 6 levels and lots to look at. Great views. We rode lift to top and walked down as it's easier on our legs. Fit people can walk up doing one level at a time. Lots to read and look at. It's all about time and bells.

Great way to kick off my stay. A self guided tour through the tower and a quick, but thorough, lesson in Bell Ringing, was an experience I didn't expect when signing up. ALOT of good history and facts. The staff was great but Deb and Jeff really provided an excellent experience for my time in the tower. If you're in the tower at 12pm you get another treat as the giant ANZAC bell chimes it's daily song.
Nick K — Google review
A tower with bells in it, it's called the 'Bell Tower', located at the end of Barrack Street (called that because there used to be a barracks on it) nestled in the port 'North of the River' (an area in Perth that is North of the River, there is also an area south of the river called 'South of the River'). Home to historic bells, fabulous views and a great spot for a maternity shoot, even on a rainy day! Beautiful pics by Andrew Robertson of Gascoyne Media, with Perth pattern facts from Hidden de Tours.

Wow. This was great. Even 'played' on one of their bells, as part of their demonstration for us in 6s. What beautiful gifts these bells are to Perth & WA. The fantastic Gallopli Century Bell sitting in the middle floor and its daily reminder at Noon. Do not miss this on a day the Bell Ringers are practising.
Glenn M — Google review
Since day one our experience with the Bell Tower has been dreamy. The tower does not need any publicity, the view is stunning, the location is breathtaking, and the historical significance of it as a Perth Landmark speak for themselves. What needs a huge and well deserved shout out is the two lovely wedding planners who are in charge of everything weddings at the venue. We first met with Josephine, that gave us invaluable recommendations for vendors, giving us specific points of contact rather than just company names. Most of the vendors we ended up hiring, had worked with Josephine directly and we benefited greatly from their pre existing relationship, as this ensured faster communication, and knowledgeable vendors that knew how to work within the tower and its architecture. Not only Josephine was on top of everything, bringing up details we oversaw, suggesting alternatives and solutions to any issue we could try and foresee; she was also very proactive and efficient in sending notes with everything that had been discussed and decided during our meetings. She was always responsive to our queries and also added a personal touch to our day, by crocheting 3 small bees for our ring cushion, in line with our wedding theme. Throughout our experience in dealing with Josephine, I have always felt as if we were friends, and she genuinely cared for my wedding day. When Josephine had to go on annual leave, she organised a meeting with us and Georgie, also a wedding planner at the bell tower, that took over our wedding. Georgie was perfect. She helped me a lot during some crucial stressful situations, for instance, she independently liaised with one of my vendors, finding a solution to an issue that they had caused and could have costed me additional fees, or even worst, having to find another vendor. I was a little stressed when Josephine told me she wouldn't be present on our day, but that stress was completely unfounded. Georgie had everything under control and communicated with vendors on my behalf to optimise everything, directed my wedding party during rehearsal and even helped me prepare my centerpieces a few days before the wedding. Dealing with her was amazing, and i will never be able to repay her for the kindness, understanding and reassurance she offered me at a such delicate and important time. The wedding day went off without a hitch. I have absolutely no complaints to make, not about Georgie, not about the bell tower staff. Everyone was kind and professional and I really feel like our wedding exceeded any expectations I had. Thank you immensely, for being part of our story and for being so amazing at your jobs. With love, Bree

Perth's Outback Splash is a popular waterpark located just 30 minutes from the city center. It features a variety of exciting slides, cabanas, sun lounges, and a cafe. The Splash Island water playground is supervised by lifeguards and offers interactive sprays, giant slides, and colorful water cannons for kids to enjoy safely. The park also boasts unique attractions like The Wall and Gold Rush slides inspired by Western Australia's mining history.
We had the pleasure of visiting Outback Splash last weekend. It was absolutely a delight and a great gateway. My toddler had a great time, each area was perfectly designed clean, and easily accessible, The best thing about this place was that toilets and lockers were near to all the water Activity I have decided I will definitely Book this place for my Birthday party as they have the best Cabanas and Drinks That makes the place so luxury We loved the Maze and Mini Golf area I highly recommend this place for Kids and Adults
Shivani A — Google review
I like Outback Splash as it's not too big. It has something for everyone. The little kids have Octopus Bay, there's also splash Island with safer slides, tipping buckets etc. The bigger kids & adults have the 4 big slides at the back. Theres the lagoon which has a pool and ample seating plus a bar & food service. Other attractions to keep the kids amused include giant chess, mini golf, timber maze, tyre maze, hedge maze. There is a small playground. Lots of beautiful grassed open areas. Numerous food outlets such as burger Bar, snack shack & the pool house or set up a spot on the grass & bring your own picnic. You can bring your own shade or hire one of the many they have on offer such as picnic shades, huts, cabanas, marquee etc. There are lockers to hire for valuables and toilets and change rooms. Heaps of free parking out the front. A great day out!

Best experience in Australia for a water park environment. We visited on a quiet day (just got lucky). All the rides are very adventurous (our favourite was called “blackout”) Bravo to all the lifeguards who did make us feel safe. The only thing they need to improve is to have heated pools during cold temperatures to make all the visitors feel cozy and make their day. Definitely coming back again. You can bring your gazebo if you want to save your money by not booking expensive cabanas. We did use a tent (you can bring gazebo like everyone, depending on your needs).

This is SUCH a fun place! We loved the new 'The Lagoon' and its deep-water swimming pool areas. When the warmer weather comes around, I know it'll be super popular! We also love that all the different parts of Outback Splash are all close together, so it doesnt take long to walk from one fun area to another :) We cant wait to return in the summer!

Best family day out! We have been going to Outback Splash for years and it is even better now with the inclusion of the lagoon pool. The kids love the water slides and there’s always lots of shade, the pool bar is the perfect spot for a cheeky cocktail 🍹 Can’t wait to spend all summer here!

Araluen Botanic Park, located in Roleystone, Western Australia, is a 59-hectare botanical garden featuring lush green spaces and a diverse range of plants. The park boasts a manmade lake, miniature train, and scenic paths for visitors to explore. Renowned for its annual display of colorful tulips, the park showcases an array of native and introduced plant species set amidst jarrah bushland.
Went to see the Tulip Festival at Araluen. They seem to get their act together this year. I would be as bold as to say 100% improvement on last year. I am disabled and I was able to park at the entrance and enter the park to see the main Tulip displays. I was able to get my wheelchair onto the grass to go up to the tulips, took many beautiful photographs. I was not able to even see these flower beds last year as I could not get my wheelchair near to the flower beds. I saw food vans, drink vans, and plenty of toilets. Even went on the little train. That was fun. 😃👍 Very importantly Love the fact that my companion card could be used, and my carer was able to get in for free to look after me.
Margaret C — Google review
Stunning park experience, I went first day of the tulip festival. While the tulips were a little shy, all the other bulbs like the daffodils, jonquils, hyacinths and lilacs were out in full bloom with their beautiful aroma. A showcase of incredible varieties of azaleas, camellias and many others.
Alkaline D — Google review
Great day out especially in spring with lots of tulips and flowering plants to see and enjoy. Gets very busy though. Great entertainment (live music) and lots of food truck and coffee vans down on the main lawn area. The main cafe was a little limited for food choice (pre-packaged sandwiches and cakes) The restaurant was a little pricey, but the food was delicious here with a nice view on the balcony. Over all it's a nice day out, just remember to bring a bottle of water and a hat, especially on a sunny day
Bradley V — Google review
We went after tulip season so they had already lost all their petals but there’s still so much to see and explore, we loved following the map to find all the areas. We didn’t take a picnic but it would be great to as there’s plenty of picnic and BBQ areas. Easily spend a good few hours here so don’t rush your visit. Staff were all so friendly and happy to chat too!

Araluen Botanic Park is a large and beautiful park featuring a wide variety of stunning flowers, trees, and scenic picnic spots for families. The park is well-equipped with public BBQs, picnic tables, and clean toilet facilities, making it very convenient for visitors. There are several picturesque waterfalls, small lakes, and gentle streams, along with charming bridges that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Throughout the park, there are plenty of benches where you can sit and relax while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Parking is available in several areas, which makes access easy. The entry fee was $38 for two adults and one child, with free admission for children under six. Overall, it is a wonderful place to spend a day outdoors, surrounded by nature and tranquility.

We visited Araluen Botanic Park one week ago and absolutely loved it. The gardens are in full spring bloom right now, endless tulips and spring bulbs everywhere you look and it’s breathtaking. It’s their Springtime Tulip Festival season, with hundreds of thousands of tulips planted across the hillsides, and you can really feel the festival atmosphere. There was live music and plenty of food and drink options while we wandered, plus the Chalet Healy Café is open if you’d like a sit-down bite, really handy with kids. Great spot for a picnic too: the park provides barbecues on site (so you don’t need to bring your own), and there’s lots of lawn and shady areas to relax between flower beds. Beautiful blooms, family friendly vibes, and a gorgeous Perth Hills setting. Highly recommend visiting this spring. 🌷

As Tulips are my absolute favourite flower, we attended the Tulip festival yesterday The Tulips were in full bloom, but all yhe other flowers were too which were absolutely stunning The garden is a lot of up and down, bare that in mind for those who struggle to walk, however you can spend a good couple hours walking around and there are many benches scattered around the park to take a rest. Definitely worth the drive out there.
Pen P — Google review
Been a few times over the years. Always nice and peaceful. $40 a ticket is not cheap, but the park is well maintained, and some great photos can be shot here. Many shelters. Plenty of toilet facilities. The only thing is some part of the park allows the cars drive in with people walking on the same road. Very dangerous for kids running around. Recommended for photography lovers, family day out or romantic date.

One of the well known parks to visit in Western Australia. It has plenty of sites and attractions to visit, such as Tractor Museum of WA, Caversham Wildlife Park, and many more. There is also a cafe nearby, and there are also playgrounds. It’s best to get here by car, as they provide parking spot as well. Getting here using public transport is still accessible, but it requires a 20-30 minute walk to get to the park from the bus/train station.

John Forrest National Park, located in Glen Forrest, Western Australia, is a picturesque forested area with walking trails, wildlife, and waterfalls. The park offers the popular Eagle View Walk Trail which provides stunning valley views and impressive waterfalls. Visitors can also enjoy the John Forrest Tavern for a meal and encounter native birds and kangaroos in the courtyard. While some find the trail markers confusing at times, it remains an essential day walk in Western Australia due to its scenic beauty and proximity to Perth.
Really well maintained National Park with a range of great walking trails, views of the City and Valley, Hovea Falls and some historical sites like the Swan View Tunnel. Great for all ages with a playground and picnic area. The Ranger was really friendly and helpful too. I can't wait to come back for the wild flowers.

A refreshing hiking experience, especially for those who appreciate well-maintained trails. Many pathways, particularly around popular areas like the picnic grounds and leading to National Park Falls, are commendably compacted. This makes for easy walking, even after rain, and allows for a smooth, enjoyable stride without constantly watching your footing for loose rocks or uneven ground.

Love this National Park. Went today 23rd Aug 25 and it was very busy, due to the waterfall flowing. Saw some wildflowers that are also out atm, they will be in full bloom soon. It was a lovely adventurous day out for myself and my son.

Beautiful hiking grounds especially when the river is full and spring is in full swing. I regularly go to do the wildflower trail with my partner 5km normally 30 - 35 max. we also saw the cutest gum-nut fairies on the way up, unfortunately they are now gone! Very sad, as they looked very well made and environmentally friendly. Such a shame.

Chasing waterfalls and forest trails at John Forrest National Park 🌳 Fresh air, forest paths, and endless views. Eagle View Trail is one of the best and longest hikes in WA, the views worth every step. There are trails that are more kids friendly, but if you are up for the challenge, go for the Eagle View Trail. It says 5 hours in the guideboard, depending on individual body fitness, it varies between 3 to 5 hours to comlplete the trail. Cost is $17 per car

What a treasure—so close to the city, yet it feels a world away. John Forrest National Park is bursting with life right now. Wild orchids are blooming along the trails, and the diversity of flora is simply breathtaking. The granite boulders and bushland offer a kind of rugged serenity that’s hard to come by. Nature lovers, photographers, and botanists alike will find themselves utterly spoiled. We wandered for hours, spotting native orchids, soaking in expansive valley views, and marvelling at the interplay of rock and wildflower. No formal playgrounds, but Mother Nature provides her own—giant rocks, winding trails, and shaded nooks perfect for kids to explore. Didn’t see any restrooms on our walk, so plan ahead—but honestly, the sheer beauty of the place more than makes up for it. One of Perth’s most precious wild escapes.
Clinton R — Google review
Just a 30-minute drive from Perth, John Forrest National Park offers a serene escape into Western Australia's natural beauty. As the state's first national park, established in 1900, it boasts a rich tapestry of history and nature. Wander through trails lined with towering jarrah and marri trees, and discover seasonal waterfalls like Hovea Falls cascading over granite outcrops. The historic Swan View Tunnel, a relic from 1895, adds a touch of intrigue to your journey. Whether you're seeking a leisurely stroll or a challenging hike, the park's diverse trails cater to all adventurers. Keep an eye out for native wildlife, including kangaroos and black cockatoos, as you immerse yourself in this tranquil haven.

The picturesque waterfront location provides great photo opportunities and is also popular for weddings. Hillarys Boat Harbour is a great place to visit for anyone. In summer, there is abundant space to swim for those who like to spend time in the water. There are many restaurants on site for the foodies like myself. You can have a nice stroll to the lighthouse and enjoy the great view from up top as well. You can enjoy a nice picnic next to the water with the family. I recently went bowling there, and it was really fun. The service is great, lanes are in mint condition, the staff are friendly. My partner and I went to this Holey Moley last night and it was our first time there and, it was a truly unforgettable experience. We were greeted immediately with so much warmth, professionalism and kindness from the beginning. Marcus stood out to us especially as he went above and beyond to make our time there so much fun and, his positive, energetic spirit was so unique as usually at places like this, you are sort of left to do your own thing until you need a drink etc.. but, Marcus was a breath of fresh air and was so kind and, his efforts to ensure we were looked after and having a great time was above any other experience we have had in the past. Annabelle makes amazing cocktails and she too was very nice and the rest of the crew there are so friendly, fun and genuinely add to the experience. It’s a shame that we were not allowed to leave a nice tip for them as they truly deserved it (especially Marcus!) The place itself is super cool and the food was great (the snow fries are incredible!) We loved the gaming arcade too and we will definitely be back again very soon! A very BIG thank you to Marcus and the crew at Holey Moley Northbridge! A must visit for any occasion 🫶🏾

LITERALLY THE WORST DO NOT GO HERE. Me and my boyfriend got turned away since I didn’t have my ID which is not an issue at ALL. That was my mistake no problem however our group of 4 paid about $200-300 for a service none of us received. After confirming with both the security and the manager TWICE that we’d be able to get a refund, no refund was issued after 5 business days. We called to ask if there was a refund in place and the desk worker let us know the manager had CHECKED US IN as having played!! The girl on the phone was so sweet and assured us she’d do her best to follow up but no such luck. 5 additional business days after that, we still have yet to receive an update or a refund. SUPER SKETCHY not good business to lie about fulfilling a service you did not provide!!!

Glowing Rooms is a unique 3D glow-in-the-dark mini-golf course located in Perth, Australia. The indoor space spans over 800sqm and ensures a COVID-safe environment with a maximum of 60 customers at any given time. The course features vibrant colors, ultraviolet lights, and hand-painted artworks by local artists.
Loved the artwork and the 3D experience, was something different. Really enjoyed the 18 holes with something different each time. We drove over an hour to get there which was well worth it! Drinks before and after is a must and food available too. Overall great afternoon and and lovely staff to top it off.

We visited the Glow Rooms in Fremantle as a family of four and absolutely loved it! We played the mini golf and had such a great time – the artwork throughout is incredible and really adds to the whole experience. The kids (and adults!) were amazed at how creative and fun it was. We were also really impressed with the friendly service on arrival, which made us feel welcome right away. Highly recommend for families looking for something unique and fun to do in Fremantle!

I have been to this wonderful establishment numerous times with both my friends and family. The time and talent gone into each glow room is extraordinary 🤌🏻✨ the artist really found a way to confuse and warp the mind with optical illusions and their realistic talent. It honestly does not get enough hype for how good it is and how long each individual room would have taken to create. Hats 🎩 off to its marvellous creator 👑🌹✨ This place is definitely worth visiting. I think there's 18 or 20 holes? Each one has its own little spin for you, some literally 😉😛 They also offer a grand section of munchies and drinks. The place has some other awesome features such as karaoke 🎤, virtual reality escape rooms and more ☺️ I would highly recommend this place for a date with your partner, day out with the kids or even just to escape with your friends. The only thing I had trouble with was the feeling of the glasses over my glasses 😂 but that's normal. Also peep at the Alice in wonderland themed art on the way to the bathrooms, I'm in love.
Drizzy D — Google review
Had the best time playing golf at glowing rooms! Definitely recommend as a perfect date activity or just to have some fun with mates! The staff are so friendly and fun and love that you can have a drink while playing! The artwork is super cool too and the artist is incredibly talented! Kudos to his hard work!

Four of us went 2nd time there. We enjoyed it again. Only downside they might consider concession discount for card holders .

Absolutely fantastic. The staff were so friendly and the artistry of the golf room was absolutely mind blowing. The golf was so much fun. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. 🙏🙏 Had the absolute best time! Fantastic tunes and drinks too. Great for a giggle and a good bit of fun

Booked a birthday party for my child - 13 kids 4 adults. Absolutely appalled with the “service” that we received. For the amount of money that is being spent - to have a staff member be attentive and interact would have been nice but nothing. The art work is cool… but the kids got bored and then just had to entertain themselves for over an hour before they brought the party food out - in the meantime I had to order extra food - gaming room was good but even when 1 child asked for help, she was told to press the buttons and work it out.
Simone B — Google review
This was far more fun than we thought it was going to be. As a family, we all loved it, which doesn’t happen too often! Wearing the magical 3D glasses transforms a simple game of mini golf into an out-of-this-world experience. Golf balls appear to hover above the ground, animals spring to life, and characters seem to reach right out toward you. The walls, floors, and obstacles move and shift as you walk through — it truly feels like stepping into another world! 🌈🎨 The themes change from room to room, each one more immersive than the last. One minute you’re floating through space, the next you’re under the sea surrounded by glowing marine life. We were all completely mesmerised. We had heaps of laughs chasing that elusive hole-in-one on some holes and just trying to finish others 🤣 But that’s all part of the fun! We highly recommend it if you’re in Fremantle and looking for something that’ll leave everyone smiling and talking about it for days👌 Congratulations on having the coolest activity in town 😎

The Scarborough Sunset Markets offer a perfect setting for a Thursday night out with friends, featuring stunning beach views, live music, and an array of delicious food and artisanal goods. With over 100 vendors participating, visitors can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with mouth-watering eats and unique retail finds. Additionally, the event includes wellness activities such as breathwork sessions and sauna experiences for those seeking rejuvenation.
Sunset market is held every Thursday until 24 April. Great vibes although there was strong cooling wind blowing. Many of the food trucks have long queues. Good place to chill for an hour or so. There are some eateries with proper seatings too along sunset market road. Great place to see sunset. Be wary of traffic congestion and parking space.

Benidorm meets Scarborough beach. Wall to wall people, amazing food trucks (try the Spanish truck for Paella), super hot weather, a few crafty market stalls and a dance floor with DJ down at the beach. Go early to avoid heaving crowds, and enjoy the sunset with the 000s of others on the beach.
Alkaline ( — Google review
A market that opens up every Saturday located in Scarborough beach. There are plenty of food stalls serving different types of cuisines. It's best to come here in the evening, where you can enjoy sunset views on the beach. The foods taste decent at a reasonable price. But it's definitely worth coming here for the experince to explore the different food stalls while enjoying the sunset view in the beach.
Sadewa 4 — Google review
It was very busy, and finding free parking was challenging. The food was also quite expensive and very average in taste. That said, I did appreciate the decent variety of food and drink stalls available. I would have enjoyed it more if the music hadn’t been so loud in the middle of the market 🫨
Michelle — Google review
A perfect spot to watch the sunset coming over Scarborough Beach. Many different areas to camp out and enjoy a good dinner. This spot is visited by locals and tourists vibing to the skate park as well as the beach club DJ. Kids are able to play on the beachfront too. Had a great time with my family Definitely a place to visit but food trucks queues can be super long and expensive.

A large variety of food, many different foodtrucks. My favorite are The FireTruck and The LollyBus - So original ☺️

Scarborough Beach Market is a buzzing coastal destination that brilliantly blends delicious global cuisine, live music, and stunning ocean views into one fun evening out. With an impressive lineup of food trucks and artisan stalls offering everything from BBQ skewers to gourmet desserts, there's something for everyone. The atmosphere is relaxed and vibrant, perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends to unwind by the water. My only small gripe is that parking can be a bit tricky on busy nights, so I'd recommend arriving early or using alternative transport. Overall, it's a fantastic place to enjoy good food, good vibes, and memorable sunsets

Fremantle Markets, established in 1897, is a bustling indoor market offering a wide array of goods including food, local produce, clothing, and handicrafts. The market is housed in a historic building and has become a hub for local talent, supporting fashion designers and musicians. Visitors can also enjoy nearby attractions such as bookshops and boutiques along South Terrace. Additionally, the area offers dining options ranging from inspired bakeries to fish markets.
Definitely go and check out this place. It was quite busy but worth fighting the crowds. Food was absolutely in abundance. Lots of stalls to look at and the atmosphere was terrific. The fruit and veg stalls were super fresh and if I lived locally I'd definitely be a regular visitor.
Kylie R — Google review
Pretty nice place to walk around! The market’s split into two parts — one side has more products and goods, the other side is the food and wet market. The goods are mostly the usual market items, but still fun to browse. The food section is the highlight — lively atmosphere, good smells everywhere, and lots to try. Worth a visit if you’re in Fremantle!
Eunice Y — Google review
Pretty small and not the most amazing of markets I’ve been to. There’s some food on the other section that was interesting like Burek and Tibetan but I think if you’re really tight on time you can skip this place. Only the coffee beans store I saw was truly unique. The market also has started having pop mart and labubus popping up, making it more commercial than i thought. Interestingly the urinals are pretty cool, first time I’ve seen them like this.
KC — Google review
If it's your first time visiting, this iconic market must be on your list! It's a small market with local artisans. Could be crowded if you come around lunch time on a sunday. We rounded it twice, once to have an overview & the second time to buy what we wanted. The honey cake was a standout imo. It was so so good! Maybe just have a slice.. or two! We also tried Lola's giant spring roll (crispy pork) which was also good and very filling. A bit on the oily side but the vinegar and sweet chili sauce makes up for it. Perfect tasty snack!

A must-visit in Perth – full of life and local charm! Fremantle Markets is one of the best places to experience the real Perth vibe. The atmosphere is vibrant and colourful, with buskers playing music, the smell of amazing street food, and people from all over the world wandering through the old heritage halls. I loved the mix of handmade crafts, vintage clothes, Aboriginal art, fresh produce and international food stalls — there’s something new around every corner. The building itself is beautiful and full of history, which makes the visit even more special. It gets busy on weekends, but that’s part of the fun — the energy is incredible. Everyone’s friendly, the food is fresh, and the music gives it a great local feel. If you’re visiting Perth, you can’t miss Fremantle Markets. Go during the day to catch the live buskers and soak in the atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who loves local culture, food, and good vibes!

-Nice place to visit for FREE. with a lively local vibe and lots of interesting stalls. However, it’s more of a one-time experience, once is enough. -Kindly note the trading days of this place. -There’s a toilet available, but seating areas are quite limited, so it can be tricky to find a spot to sit and eat. -Surprisingly, there weren’t as many yummy food stalls as expected. -Overall, a fun stop while in Fremantle, but not something I’d return to often.
Edlyn A — Google review
What a bustling place this is. Full of independent and food stalls it was packed when we visited and this was only a Sunday in early Spring. It’s an historic old building worth a walk through and a browse. It was the vibrancy that struck me. Almost as manic as a Turkish Bazaar.

Scarborough Beach is a vibrant and popular destination in Perth, known for its lively atmosphere and variety of attractions. The beach underwent a major redevelopment in 2018, resulting in a landscaped esplanade with amenities such as bars, restaurants, BBQ grills, and an open-air public pool facing the ocean. The Esplanade at Scarborough Beach resembles Venice Beach with its diverse crowd that includes international backpackers, families, and even the sound of Harley Davidsons.
One of my personal favorite beach in Perth. The facility they offer are amaze me. Easy to access and many slots for public toilet is a plus thing as well
Frans W — Google review
Scarborough Beach is one of Perth’s best spots for all ages. The white sand is stunning, and the vibe is lively year-round with night markets in both winter and summer. Kids love the Whale Playground, skaters hit the Snake Pit, and the beachside amphitheatre often has live music and events. Great cafes and ocean sunsets make it easy to spend the whole day here.
Hemanta S — Google review
Scarborough Beach is nice but feels very quiet in winter—few people during the day, and many shops are closed on weekdays. The public toilets are okay but could be cleaner. Parking wasn’t an issue on weekdays, which was a plus. Good for a peaceful walk, but don’t expect much activity in the colder months.
Pauline — Google review
Very well maintained, beautiful white sand beach, superb facilities and plenty of parking available! Must visit place if you are in Perth

Great beach for a swim, lots of grassed areas with shade and BBQs, playgrounds, and relaxing walking paths. Parking is sometimes difficult due to the popularity of this place.

A truly beautiful beach. Surfing is possible from the bank. It's not a long ride . Just watch for a current in the channel. There is also a skate park and climbing wall. Restaurants snack bars and a hotel. There is also a new swimming pool. Lots of grass areas. Friendly and safe. Love the place
Howard M — Google review
It’s a lovely and refreshing beach. I loved visiting this beautiful beach and went there several times to get fresh air and view. The ocean waves are amazing and not fast flowing as compared to City Beach. The best time to visit is towards evening time as you get to view the sunset and the fresh breeze. Also if you’re looking for a beach or a place to freshen up yourself after a week long work, then this is the idle place for you.

The WA Shipwrecks Museum, housed in a restored 1850s-era commissariat building, is a captivating attraction in Fremantle. It boasts an extensive collection of shipwreck artifacts that offer a unique insight into the maritime history of Western Australia. Visitors can explore original findings and exhibits from numerous shipwrecks along the coast, including artifacts from the earliest Australian shipwreck and stories of sunken ships dating back to the 1600s.
Awesome attention to detail in this museum. The content could exceed hours and hours of reading. Highly recommend visiting, of course free entry is an option. But a few coins from your car or handbag could contribute in a big way.
Leia W — Google review
The museum is free admission but visitors can donate to the museum. It contains histories about so many ships that got stranded along the WA and Fremantle coastline. Interesting facts and stories, it also has a Batavia shipwreck on display. The museum shop is nice as well.
Wayer — Google review
A very worthwhile visit for a small donation, this museum has some very interesting history and artefacts of shipping. A fabulous book and gift shop. Get there early and snag a carpark out front and then lunch at one of the several restaurants.

Somewhere to learn a few interesting facts to add to your general knowledge of WA maritime history! Beautiful building and great exhibits. History buffs, You won't be disappointed...great almost free outing! Gold coin donation but actually electronic deposit! The bonus for our visit was the sculptures on bathers beach.

COOLEST MUSEUM EVER!!! You can see an actual (partial) shipwreck with interesting commentary from different prospectives and it’s so interesting to just navigate it on your own. I loved it. Oh, and best parti is— it’s free!
Carola G — Google review
It's not a terribly big museum, but it houses some pretty big broken pieces of exhibits from various ship wrecks. There are quite a few old cannons as well as small artefacts on display. The anchor that is about 2-storey high is impressive. It's worth visiting if one is in the area. Admission is free.
Sam — Google review
This place was fabulous to visit. It's free entry so no one can complain about that. So much interesting stuff to discover and see. My son loved all the models of the boats.

The arena hosts a prestigious tennis tournament featuring high-ranking male players from around the world, offering substantial prize money and ATP rankings. Additionally, it is renowned for its exceptional culinary offerings during events. The well-designed layout includes stage entrance doors, ample restrooms, and beverage vendors. The central location provides easy access to public transportation and paid parking options.
Review for Disney On Ice – RAC Arena, Perth (15 June 2025, 6:00 PM Show) We attended the 6:00 PM Disney On Ice show at RAC Arena in Perth on 15th June 2025. Despite the rainy evening, getting into the venue was smooth and hassle-free. The show started right on time, with a helpful 5-minute prior announcement to get everyone settled. We had VIP tickets for four of us — most of the closer seats were already booked out. I’d say this is definitely a must-watch experience with kids at least once. My children were absolutely thrilled and amazed by the performances. The production, costumes, and skating were all spectacular. They’re now excited to try ice skating themselves! We bought snow cones, an Elsa wand, a sword, Mickey-shaped popcorn, chips, and drinks. While the merchandise and snacks added to the fun, I did find the prices a bit steep for the quality. It would’ve been a nice touch if something small — like a souvenir bag or keepsake — was included with the ticket purchase. That said, we truly enjoyed the evening. It was a magical experience overall, and the performers were incredible. Highly recommended for families!
Geetika S — Google review
There are a few little quirks to this place, but most of them relate to the whimsical staff contracted to work here during events. Still its a great venue to watch sports, including the UFC.

Went to RAC Arena for the first time to watch the WWE and I thought it was a great venue. A pretty seamless entry into the arena and found the arena itself to be very easy to navigate.
Carmelo P — Google review
The WWE Supershow was awesome, getting there, entry and exit was easy. A couple of criticisms though, once the main doors opened you still couldn't go and find your seat once inside because the arena doors themselves were still closed also, the lines for toilets, food and merchandise were horrendous.
Marten ( — Google review
Great venue. Bar service was efficient, bit of a queue for food. Sound was great and we had good seats, ,3rd row from stage. Well managed exit after the event made getting home easy by train which was included with our ticket
Victoria G — Google review
Great venue for a show, just wish all artists did a wrap around stage as the main stage is so small and far away from everyone in stands.

Absolutely fantastic! Went to see the wiggles Was easy to find parking nearby, easy to get through the gates (plenty of staff to cater to everyone) Signs made it easy to find the correct gate to go through. Very happy experience 😊

Teddy Swims concert - $835 for two tickets. Was so looking forward to this concert. Ruined. The arena either doesn’t run sound checks or is not set up for bands. Left after 20 mins of reverb. Sounded awesome on outside! Teddy, they did ruined you. No wonder artists don’t come to WA.

Wonderful time there. For the second we went there we booked the Lancaster tour. We spent the best time in a museum of my life. The tour is very well explained with a lot of anecdotes and replies of every one of your questions. Thank you Steve for your time and your passion !

The Aviation Heritage Museum is an absolute treasure for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike. From the moment you step inside, it's clear that this museum was crafted with immense passion and dedication. The collection is astonishing—packed with an incredible variety of aircraft, from World War I and II relics to modern fighter jets, all displayed in a surprisingly compact yet well-organized space. What truly sets this museum apart is the depth of storytelling. Every plane, artifact, and exhibit comes with rich historical context, personal anecdotes, and photographs that bring the displays to life. In an era where many museums prioritize aesthetics over substance, this place is a refreshing exception, offering a genuine, immersive experience. The volunteers are another highlight—friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share fascinating details about the aircraft. Their expertise adds so much to the visit, making it both educational and engaging. Be warned: the suggested 1-2 hour visit time is a serious underestimate. If you're an aviation lover, you could easily spend half a day (or more!) exploring everything. There’s just so much to see, read, and absorb. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Perth, this museum is a must-see. It’s a world-class gem that deserves far more recognition. Don’t miss it!

Was highly surprised with this museum, we were not expecting much and stopped in as a spur of the moment and the attractions were great! There were a few interactive items and lots of planes. There was a big bummer plane and a couple of fligter planes and some old planes, I highly recommend a few hours here!

A nice museum to visit. As I am from the UK it was great to see the Lancaster again, and since my last visit 10 years ago they have got hold of an Ex RAF tornado. Was there on a weekday in the Winter getting there at opening time with very few people there. Came by public transport with bus details found on the museum website

The Aviation Heritage Museum has so much to see and is very informative, especially for kids. The aircraft displays are amazing there are all kinds of planes to explore, and it’s fascinating to learn about their details and history. It’s a great place for families and aviation enthusiasts alike! The volunteers are very welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate. They clearly love what they do and are always happy to help even taking family photos for visitors! It was lovely meeting Peter, the fighter jet expert (GR4 Tornado and FA-18 Hornet). We had a great time chatting with him about the small details of these incredible jets. One to two hours is definitely not enough if you’re as fascinated by aircraft as our son is! We also met Taylor, another wonderful volunteer with a big heart for both aircraft and visitors. He went above and beyond to explain things and even gave us a mini tour of the museum. His knowledge and flight simulator skills are impressive! Overall, the experience was amazing. You should definitely visit the Aviation Heritage Museum your kids will have unlimited fun, and there’s so much to explore and learn from these incredible artifacts.

My daughter came here yesterday for her birthday, her flight instructor was Kody, omg absolutely fantastic! She's only 7 and was very scared, started crying and he handled it brilliantly, eased her into the first flight and was very supportive throughout all 4 flights, it put me and her at ease and even just compared to when we were there a few weeks earlier for my son's turn, the difference in the instructors was noticeable right from the start when they do the pre talk and suit up, Kody was so much more informative, I was hearing tips and info we didnt get told the last time that was really helpful to know. This was a great experience, now my daughter wants to come back to do it again, we couldn't be happier, thanks so much for the unforgettable experience, i think its going to be my turn next 😊

“The Most Worth-It and Must-Visit Museum in Whiteman Park!” For me, this is the most worth-it and must-visit museum in Whiteman Park. Entry is donation-based, so you pay as much as you like, but once inside, the experience feels premium and truly fascinating! Right at the entrance, you’re welcomed by a mini theater showing a short film about life in Perth before the 1980s, featuring nostalgic and historic vehicles. Lew Whiteman owned, farmed and developed some of the land that now forms Whiteman Park and Revolutions aims to bring his local story to life. Showcases and the Collection Store window displays are changed regularly throughout the year, bringing many of these smaller objects out on display and promising something different to see and explore in this family-friendly, accessible space. Performing arts theater
Located by the riverside, Perth Concert Hall is a vibrant venue offering a diverse range of entertainment. With over 25 musical performances featuring world-class talents, visitors can enjoy everything from classical masterpieces to contemporary pop concerts and stand-up comedy. The pre-show cafe serves an array of beverages and mains, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing evening before the show. Additionally, the hall hosts various cultural events that showcase Perth's rich Aboriginal heritage and connection to the land.
The screening of the original 1925 Phantom of the Opera with live organ music. Absolutely fantastic. Although the seating could use a much needed upgrade (little fold away table likes Crown Theatre would be excellent), the sound dynamics are amazing here, whether it is an opera, concert or other. Highly recommend.

A modern solemn building with lovely peaces of art, stunning space, incredible acoustics and a variety of facilities. We were happy to be there and had a great pleasure. It would be great to come again.

Going to the Perth Concert Hall is always a treat. Having enjoyed sitting in various parts of the hall, there is nothing more pleasing than sitting in the stalls above the orchestra watching the individual musicians masterfully manipulate their instruments. It feels like being on stage as part of the orchestra. The acoustics in such a lofty location may not be as superb as central seats, but for the untrained ear it sounds wonderful.

We have been here twice in the last month for the Wakakirri performance nights and awards grand final night 2. We found the Perth concert Hall staff to be fantastic to our large group of students and the facilities were brilliant It's a great venue for this sort of story dance and drama competition and is much better than the previous venue used for years and years. Parking for parents and performers was so easy. What a beautiful building indeed.

Attended Fleetwood Mac by Candlelight brought to Perth by Kinda Dusty Ltd. The venue was excellent and the show was phenomenal. Can't say enough about it. Truly one of the best performances I have seen in a long time.
Anne F — Google review
Wonderful concert hall that is well maintained and keep up to date. Lost 1-star because the parking in the basement is substandard. The car bays are too narrow and the turning circles are too tight. I hope they’ll fix it soon by re-marking the car bays and access routes to a more reasonable layout
Charles S — Google review
Went to a classical music performance which was great. However the venue was not great and my view of the stage was impeded by the balcony above. With 137 piece orchestra playing you want to be able to see and hear all of them!

Excellent place. Probably getting a little bit aged these days. A graduated from university in 1994 here. I saw a ladysmith black mambazo with my mum before she died. So Chris Cornell in 2015 mind blowing. Lots of history in this place let's keep it going!

Such a good activity!! Went solo and had so much fun enjoying the views and the company of our crew. Our guides Mia & Dan were super friendly and made the whole experience super easy. Would recommend 10/10.

Took the family for a zip line. The crew were fantastic. Extremely safety conscious. Informative. We did the twilight run which was beautiful. For a 90 minute tour we did 1 minute of fun. It would have been great it you could have done it twice as there would have been plenty of time.
Holly T — Google review
I live down the road from the zip line and always wanted to try. I convinced my son when he was over from Adelaide. It was AMAZING. The climb was great! I learnt some interesting information about my own city from Emily (mixed in with some great humour from Ryan) It was a little terrifying when it came to the zip line, but Dan really helped me relax and Emma was amazing too (She is new to the team and was lovely). I would LOVE to do it again. We had an amazing time! All staff were fantastic and the experience was incredible. Thanks so much!

Absolutely amazing experience! I attended this with my friend while we are both in Perth to study and we had a great time! The climb was great fun and had amazing views. The guides were so friendly and made the experience entertaining and enjoyable. They took photos whenever we asked which was a plus as all the photos are included- huge bonus when most places charge loads for this! The pictures were amazing and the zip did not disappoint. Highly recommend! Would love to return when my family come visit!

We booked the 1.15pm tour for Zip and Climb. We were guided by Mia and Katie both of these girls were confident, friendly and explained instructions clearly, added a bit of humour to the tour which we loved. The climb was enjoyable and informative about its history. The zip line was a huge thrill coming down at roughly 60k per hour, we would love to go back and do it again at night. Thankyou Mia and Katie for a great afternoon. It’s 5 stars from us. 🙏

Everyone on the day were awesome but especially Jacob & Joel who walked us up to the Zipline. They were both full of fun, they were knowledgeable of the area and made sure the climb progressed smoothly. Greatly appreciated and would do it again. Well done to everyone on the day. 😊

My friend and I visited and participated in the Zip and Climb today. It was an absolute blast with our 2 guides Dan (Daniel?) and Jackson - they shared facts about the bridge and the surrounding area that even as residents of perth didn’t know (very exciting). During the climb there was no rush for anyone to climb and was climb at your own pace. Both guides were lovely and made the whole experience very enjoyable. They took safety very seriously and ensured we had all our safety gear on correctly as well as repeatedly ensured we were all doing okay. Highly recommend clothing that you will be able to climb in and wear a fully body harness in as well as sunscreen up prior to the event but it seemed like they provided complementary sunscreen for use as well in the waiting area. Dan and Jackson were also very accommodating with the amount of photos and angles my friend and I wanted to take, big pro they have fabulous photography skills! Big thanks to the team for an incredible day ☺️
Celia C — Google review
Must do! If you are in Perth this is a must not only because you get a bit of a history lesson, but the view and experiences are outstanding. The guides are really informative and relaxed without losing that professional edge. They made everyone comfortable the entire time and even though our group was only 7 they made us all feel comfortable with the process from start to finish. You never felt rushed and always safe. You seem to get to each major point on the bridge quite easily and with a bit of bobbing between structural elements you get to check out the view and be informed a little more. We enjoyed the entire trek from start to finish and the entire crew are well versed and trained. The zipline at the end is well executed and again the guides are very aware of everyone's safety they really make you comfortable for that last step off the platform. Would definitely recommend this as an activity for all capable individuals with the stairs not that taxing. Great experience for the entire activity.

My son went to this place for a birthday party. It looks like it is only 12 dollars for a game. He enjoyed himself. There are also games machines for the kids to play while waiting for the Lazer tag session to start. A limited number of snacks and drinks available for sale. It was a cold day and there was no heating but all things considered not a big deal

Came from 3 hours out of town just to enjoy a fun day in Perth. Had such a great time here and was well looked after by the staff and Mitch. Everyone was super understanding and helpful. We played 4 games and got lucky with game having over 14 people which made it one of the best laser tag games ive ever played! I also spoke with some of the parents exiting and they all mentioned how they had originally gone in for their kids to have fun but ended up loving it themselves!

I booked this venue in July for my son’s birthday and the experience with the manager was extremely disappointing. When I made the booking by phone, I explained that I didn’t have enough guests for the full party package and asked if I could hire the table area for an extra fee. The staff member confirmed this was fine, quoted me $20 for the tables, and finalised the booking. I also asked about food and was told they don’t provide it, but I could bring my own. At that point, I believed everything was confirmed. On the day, I phoned ahead as I was running late and wanted staff to help my guests to the table. Only then was I told there was no table booked. This was stressful and confusing. Staff eventually organised a table but then said I would now need to pay double the table fee. I asked to speak with the manager as I did not want to put staff in a difficult position. Unfortunately, the situation became even more frustrating. Instead of taking responsibility, the manager was rude and argumentative. He kept justifying the higher fee by saying he had rent and costs to cover, while completely ignoring that the mistake was due to his own staff not being properly trained. Rather than addressing the error professionally, he pushed the issue back onto the customer and refused to acknowledge the business’s responsibility. It was only after I refused to accept these unfair charges that he finally backed down and instructed his staff to charge the original $20. But this was never just about the money — it was about the principle of honouring a confirmed booking and taking accountability when mistakes are made. The manager didn’t even apologies once but pushed it for the staff to handle. Even though, we got to held the event as how it was initially booked, it was a terrible experience. The manager has zero professionalism and accountability. His behaviour was unacceptable and left a very negative impression of the business. I would not recommend this venue to anyone looking for a stress-free and well-managed event.

This is a laser blaze. I went to most. I had a lot of fun, but it gets kind of stuffy and the waiting is smaller than Joondalup but there is an arcade and a two story playing field the party plans are fun and they do great job. Staff are amazing so thank you so much

Gondolas on the Swan offers a touch of Italy at Elizabeth Quay, providing half-hour, one-hour, or family cruises in handcrafted wooden gondolas made of western red cedar. Each gondola features a plush velvet interior, Venetian drapes, and a gondolier dressed in traditional Venetian attire. Customers have praised the owner Alan for his friendly and professional service, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable for both adults and children.
My wife and I had the pleasure of experiencing a beautiful gondola ride with Gondola on the Swans in Perth, and it was truly a perfect morning! Alan, the boat owner, was incredibly accommodating with our schedule, ensuring we had the best experience on a sunny day. The ride was leisurely, unhurried, and accompanied by romantic Italian music that added a special charm. Alan’s local knowledge was evident as he pointed out dolphins along the way, making the experience even more magical. A wonderful romantic outing that I highly recommend. Many thanks to Alan for making it unforgettable!

Fantastic experience, really a one off, great host and made us feel comfortable to enjoy it as we please, the crossing over was smooth despite lots of boats around. Great bloke. Will definitely do again with the family
Rob H — Google review
“Gondolas On The Swan” exceeded our expectations; we could not wipe the smiles from our faces sailing out at sunset from Elizabeth Quay. We took a 1 hour romantic cruise with Moet, chocolates and a red rose. Alan who owns the business was a gentleman and very professional – from the very first time of enquiring; booking and he was the captain of the vessel. I told my partner that this would whet her appetite for the “real” gondola in Venice (background, I’ve personally been in a Venice Gondola over 10 years ago)… However, I’m now trying to explain that “Gondolas On The Swan” is a far more romantic and special experience. Our only wish is that we booked the gondola for 2 hours and included oysters as part of the package. Italian love music playing in the background; it doesn’t get better than this. For someone very special in your life, this is value for money!
Adam C — Google review
I don’t even know where to begin, Alan’s gondola experience was nothing short of MAGICAL. From the second we stepped on board, it completely took my breath away. I honestly felt like I’d been transported straight into a dream… or a movie… or maybe heaven?? Alan isn’t just a gondolier, he might actually be a wizard. The atmosphere he created was beyond perfect: peaceful water, stunning views, the most relaxing vibe, and his hospitality was out of this world. I kept catching myself grinning like a kid because it was THAT good. If I could do it again tomorrow, I would in a heartbeat. In fact, I’m already trying to find an excuse to go back. I would recommend this to absolutely everyone, couples, friends, families, strangers on the street, if you’re not booking this experience, you are genuinely missing out on one of life’s greatest joys. Alan, thank you for giving me a memory I’ll be bragging about forever!

We went on a double date last night- the one hour sunset cruise- and it was just gorgeous! The ride was smooth and relaxing, with beautiful views and serenity. It was a cool night and I was worried we would be freezing but it was actually warmer and less windy on the gondola. Alan was lovely and very accommodating! I definitely recommend Gondolas on the Swan for a fun date night or birthday gift.

Crystal Swan Cruises offers a unique experience on the Swan River, providing a variety of activities and entertainment for guests. The glass cube ship features high-quality food and attentive staff ensuring everyone has a great time. With multiple bars, dance floors, and balconies to enjoy the views, there's something for everyone. Whether it's a wine tasting tour with sufficient vegetarian options or celebrating special occasions with prepared decorations and food, the crew goes above and beyond to make guests feel special.
I had my 60th birthday party aboard the Crystal Swan on the weekend. It was brilliant! Everything from the initial enquiries with Tam the Event Organiser, to Louise the event host on the day, the food, the wait and bar staff and the boat itself! We had cocktail food, which Tam helped us to select and it was perfect. Just the right amount - as we had an after lunch cruise, so just needed nibbles. Louise the event host went out of her way to make sure my guests with special dietary requirements were personally looked after. Bar staff were friendly and attentive. We didn't bother with decorations, as the boat is beautiful and the scenery is stunning - cruising up and down the swan river. I had a local live band on board for the entertainment - which was fantastic. I knew I wanted a band on board, and the Crystal Swan was really the only one that suited this requirement. Anyone not wanting to dance could be upstairs and chat, mingle and watch the beautiful river and city cruise by. The day was magical. Thank you to all involved at the Crystal Swan for making the day a resounding success :)

Came for my Indian friend's birthday party. Queue up at the pier. Finally, on board. Going upstairs and downstairs as no idea what I could do. Not very spacious inside. Queue up again for a drink either upper or lower level. My friend paid a lump sum and they prepared all the decorations and food. The staff were friendly. On the cruise, they would ask if anyone looked like unwell. They brought some finger food before buffet, but didn't what it was until we ate.

Went on wine tasting tour up the Swan River. Food OK but definitely biased towards carnivores. Sufficient vegetarian offerings for us though. Winery interesting but the Pièce de résistance was the crew! From Skipper, Lauren and Aleysia(?) they made the whole tour so very enjoyable. The cabaret especially so. Lots of talent. We've used Crystal Swan before and will doubtless do so again when we next visit Perth. Soon we'll be back in UK winter but many thanks for making us feel very special.

We recently had our daughter's 18th birthday party on the Crystal Swan and could not have been happier with the service we received. From the initial contact, Tam was responsive, helpful, accommodating and made the whole process so easy to negotiate. The staff liaised with external providers such as the DJ and the decor company and saved me so much work. On the day, the crew were just fantastic- they waited for two guests to arrive before leaving the jetty. Louise the crew manager handled everything so efficiently that I could actually relax and enjoy the party. All our guests had the best time and were well looked after by the crew. The food and drinks were plentiful and provided great value for the price. My daughter said this is the best party we've ever had and it was because of this beautiful venue and wonderful staff. We can't thank you enough for these special memories.

Situated on the shore of the Indian Ocean, the WA Maritime Museum in Fremantle is a captivating waterfront attraction that offers a glimpse into Western Australia's maritime heritage. The museum features various galleries showcasing the state's deep connection with the ocean, displaying leisure boats, sailing vessels, and commercial pearl luggers. Visitors can explore iconic vessels such as Australia II, which won the America's Cup, an Oberon class submarine named HMAS Ovens, and Jon Sanders Parry Endeavour.
This museum vertically turns it from a small building full of old boats into a 360 experience. Being able to see exhibits from above and below really makes this museum pop! Handy elevators give full access to all abilities. Each exhibit is lovingly dressed, resulting is in a feast for your eyes. For the wee ones there is A craft area on the ground floor, including a colour in digital aquarium. Plus a boat that you can enter and spin the captain wheel. An excellent cafe and bathroom facilities are also present

I am glad that I visited the museum before starting my WA tour. The exhibits and the related explanation provide very comprehensive background information on the sites that I was going to visit. This made the tour so much more interesting. There is an admission fee of $15.

If you're going to see the submarine during school holidays, book in advance. The website is terrible and hard to find booking button, so just be aware. Easiest to just google "HMAS Ovens Tour" and click first link that cones up. I had mum over from melb, and she had specific questions which the manager helped us out. He was amazing, so big thanks to the staff there. Syd who gave the submarine tour was also amazing, ex submariner who knew everything in detail. Fantastic opportunity, must do. Few tight spots and stairs though for oldies.

Saint Mary's Cathedral, located in the heart of Perth, is a stunning Gothic cathedral with a rich history. The exterior boasts impressive towers reaching towards the sky, while the interior atrium is filled with natural light and intricate details. Originally built in 1865, the cathedral has undergone additions and renovations over the years, seamlessly blending classic and modern architectural styles. Designed in the Norman Gothic style by architect Joseph Ascione, it was blessed and opened by Bishop Rosendo Salvado.
St. Mary’s Cathedral in Perth is absolutely breathtaking – a beautiful blend of history, art, and spirituality. The architecture is striking, with intricate details both inside and out that make it a standout landmark in the city. The peaceful atmosphere inside the cathedral offers a quiet escape from the busy streets, perfect for reflection or simply admiring the craftsmanship. The stained-glass windows are stunning, and the entire space feels grand yet welcoming. Whether you’re attending a service or just visiting, the cathedral’s beauty and serenity leave a lasting impression. It’s a must-see for visitors to Perth, and even locals will appreciate the sense of history and community it represents. Highly recommend taking the time to visit – it’s a true gem of the city.

My Feelings at Sunday Morning Mass at the Cathedral in Western Australia On Sunday morning, I went to Mass at the big church in Western Australia. The church is very beautiful and quiet. When I walked in, I felt very peaceful. The light came through the windows, and I heard the bell ring. People sat quietly and prayed. The Mass was very special. The priest spoke clearly and slowly. Everyone stood, sat, and knelt at the right time. I liked how people prayed together. The music was very nice. The choir sang very well. Their voices were soft and beautiful. The songs helped me feel close to God. I felt calm and happy. After the Mass, I went home with peace in my heart. I thanked God for this Sunday. It was a good and holy morning.

Candlelight concert at St Mary’s Cathedral was visually and acoustically mesmerising. Classical music played beautifully letting the spirit soak up the magic. Highly recommend

Candlelight at Saint Mary’s Cathedral was the perfect venue to listen Mozart, Bach and many others. Fever Candlelight, set the mood with hundreds of candles creating the perfect atmosphere.

St. Mary’s Cathedral is truly a beautiful landmark in Perth. The architecture is stunning, and the serene atmosphere inside makes it a wonderful place for reflection. The acoustics are amazing, especially during services and musical performances, adding to the overall experience. The only downside is the limited parking, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially during busy times. Overall, a magnificent cathedral worth visiting.

Esplanade Park is a picturesque grassy area located near the waterfront in Fremantle. It features mature trees, a playground for children, and a charming café. One of its main attractions is the Fremantle Skyview Ferris Wheel, offering panoramic views of the surroundings. The park also connects to Market Street, an energetic dining and shopping strip.
What a lovely park! Grass is lush and the trees are tall and provide a lovely shade from the hot sun! Heaps of people enjoying picnics and a stroll. There is a ferris wheel and many restaurants and bars about to meet your needs.

Passed through a few times via foot on a Sunday and then Thursday.. it feels spacious and fun for a park 🌲🌲 these trees can also help protect passers-by and parked cars from strong sea winds 🌊 especially if you just want to have a picnic or chill out by the grass with friends or family 😍 There are washrooms and drinking water taps available too 👍🏻 perhaps just need some shelters along pathways to help connect people walking from the hub to the park
Marklin H — Google review
Situated next to the harbour waterfront, this is a great park that is perfect for a picnic. There is plenty of shade, a playground, a skate park and even a large Ferris wheel. It really is a great park to have a walk through and to catch up with friends.
Casandra T — Google review
One of the well-known parks in Fremantle. The park is very clean, making it a great place to play & picnic here. There are also more attractions & icons here, such as the Ferris Wheel. The park is also quite big, so its not very crowded, even though there are plenty of people.

Surprisingly, a really nice park. Passing here to went to Sardine Jetty and it was a worth stop. They have playground, skatepark with adult and kids size ramp are provided, and a ferris wheel (I,m sure they charge you to take it). There are public toilets and a lot of picnic table. Unfortunately, I can smell dog poo a lot here, people need to be responsible for their pet.

Lovely place for a walk and a picnic. Plenty of tables and benches, and bbq facilities. You can also spread a picnic mat under shady trees if that is what you prefer. Restaurants/cafes dot the area. The best part is the free public pool, manned by a lifeguard. All in all, a great place for the entire family to while away the hours.

Fremantle Arts Centre, a historic site built by convicts, offers a mix of displays, live music, and amenities like a cafe and gift shop. Duck Duck Bruce is a nearby brunch spot known for its friendly staff and inventive dishes like chilli and coriander scrambled eggs. At the arts centre's store FOUND, visitors can find unique souvenirs created by local artists. The centre also hosts various exhibitions and Sunday Music sessions.
I stopped by the Fremantle Arts Centre briefly, taking a few photos of the beautiful historic building and browsing the gift shop. The architecture has a strong sense of history and character. The shop offers a lovely selection of items that reflect Australian creativity and hints of Aboriginal culture. The courtyard is small but peaceful, with a calm and pleasant atmosphere. Even a short visit is worthwhile for those who appreciate art, heritage, and architecture.

Beautiful building a location, with some beautiful artworks but lacking some information and very small. Nice to visit if you’re in the area but wouldn’t make a special trip for it
Dana — Google review
The buildings are beautiful and very photographic. The building was once an insane asylum with the plaque on the outside near the road which looks like no one goes often. At the time of visit the exhibition was very small and I didn’t appreciate it, but others may. The gift shop had some really cool stuff in it and the staff were really friendly. When chatting to them they were telling us about past events which sounded like fun so the score may reflect on the day we visited. You don’t need my time to visit and it is free to enter.
Casandra T — Google review
It’s a free and fun visit for younger children. A few arts are quite good and creative, but most are just average for our taste. There are definitely good artists out there worth displaying and shared.

A thoroughly enjoyable visit. The Huxleys exhibit was provocative, colourful and engaging. We also enjoyed live music and a stroll around the beautiful grounds. The building itself is worth a visit. Free entry. Friendly staff. What more could you ask for?
Luke B — Google review
This place brings back a lot of memories when I was a child who didn't know any better, coming here with me dad and sis. One of the expositions were of intimacy in those string neon lights. My dad quickly took me out of the gallery and I haven't been back until I was well in my 30s. The exhibits have gone more G-rated since then, unless I missed anything. But I guess family-friendliness is always a plus. The artwork showcases a lot of local talents, especially local native talents. And I'd have to say the work here is much more vibrant and interesting than whatever they've been showing in AGWA since the first global financial crisis. I would say that there is more variety here also, though I still prefer older works and less-woke artwork is perfectly fine. Like what happened to fruit and veg still life? Sometimes I go through the art galleries in WA and realised how much I missed that. But who am I to complain? Entry is free and it's a wicked old building to wander around. By the way, you need to cut down your survey size. I gave up five minutes in with no end in sight.

Lovely place. Exterior is very beautiful like a piece of history in modern times. Interior was well maintained and furnished. The art show was good. Sitting at the court yard with a nice hot long back and the sun shining on your face during Spring is an amazing feeling :)

This charming petting zoo invites visitors to engage with a variety of friendly farmyard animals, including rabbits, goats, cows, and ducks. Kids can enjoy feeding lambs and guinea pigs while also taking part in pony rides that add to the fun.
It is not a huge place but we had so much fun! Truly up close with the goats and sheep, turkey, alpaca, kangaroo, horse etc. It’s so fun bottle feeding the calves. Do note that the queue move fast for the feeding so there’s no need to rush or fight over the chairs. You’ll be able to feed different goats/calves many times. Check out the feeding times

Brilliant birthday outing for me. Such a treat and wonderful therapy. I got to feed goats, play with rabbits, Guinea pigs, peacocks. This is a must visit and worth every penny. All the animals looked very well cared for.

Visited for the first time in a lot my time today. The staff were lovely and helpful, and my child had a great time petting the small animals. She also fell in love with one of the birds, who was interacting with her. There was plenty to do for all ages. We didn't end up staying g for lunch, but the cafe looked clean and comfortable, and the food looked good.

Great place for young and old to spend time among some animals. They have a nice small cafe there too. There is a small tractor/train ride for small kids, rabbit and genuine pig feeding pens, jumping castle and set times where you can bottle feed baby goats

Went during the April break and it was quite busy, but the premises were big enough that it didn’t feel crowded. Large variety of animals with loads of petting opportunities! The rabbits are calm and used to people and all the animals and birds seem happy and relaxed. There’s even a playground for younger kids, a tractor ride and merry go round. A nice, entertaining place to spend the morning with kids!

Such a beautiful animal farm in the Swan Valley. Very accessible and lots of parking. Came on a weekday so it was nice and quiet. I live how large the farm is, plenty of grass area with picnic tables to eat. A large variety of animals, with open pen access to feed/pat them. There is also a feeding area where you can hold bunnies & guinea pigs. They also do animal bottle feeds three times a day where you can milk feed baby goats & sheep. A great space for kids with a playground, bouncy castle, merry-go-round & train ride. Recommend coming for a fun family day out.

Our recent visit was to “The Kimberley Experience”VR . FANTASTIC! Recommend it as a way to discover of our north-west. Do yourself a favour - go online and “click” to receive updates for the WA Museum and the Art Gallery of Western Australia.

Young and old alike will surely enjoy their time inside the museum. Well preserved collections of animals that can only be found in Australia. Will try and return for another visit. Lay out is perfect for a better appreciation of visitors. Souvenir shop is situated at the lobby near the entrance.

Experience the vibrant and lively atmosphere of Perth's iconic Twilight Hawkers Market, held every Friday from October to March in Forrest Chase. Celebrating its tenth season, this event brings together a diverse array of popular street food vendors offering an eclectic mix of international cuisines, including Korean BBQ, Japanese pancakes, Indonesian Satays, Malaysian curries, Turkish gozlemes, Moroccan tagines, Colombian Empanadas, Mexican Burritos and more.
We visited the Twilight Market in Perth on a Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were an amazing selection of food vendors from Vietnamese,Filipino, Brazilian and Tibetan plus many others. Lots of places to sit and enjoy your dinner. I had a delicious Banh Mi which was so flavourful. Go there for Friday night dinner. Starts at 430pm.

A perfect outdoor setting with the cooling evening breeze in Perth. Lively music, not too crowded and delicious food. Seatings are available. Great place for families or catching with friends on a Fri after work before hitting the town. Small range of food stalls, but the ones we went to were excellent. The beef ribs from the Argentinian sure was out of this world, soft, flavorful and juicy ribs. The satay from the Malaysian place was spot on as well. The Colombian lemonade balance out the smokey, greasy meats well. Finished of with some Greek donuts. A fun prelude to our Friday evening.

Perfect way to spend a Friday's summers evening. Murray street mall bustling with people and scents and sounds of dozens of different cuisines wafting down the mall. The range of cuisines covers the world and every taste bud. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the prices more than reasonable. There are a some stools and benches available for seating so you can sit down while eating your meal.

Delicious food all the way!! I was on holidays to Perth and i was lucky as the Twilight Hawkers Market was on during that time.. i went on my very last night i stayed at Perth city.. I had pork buns, satay chicken sticks and donuts!! i loved it!! The prices may be slightly higher but they always do that to special events!! But it’s ok because it’s challenging for the business to have their shop set up, etc.. and it gets way too busy!! So it’s well worth going to 😊 I was travelling alone so this was perfect for my last night! No awkward alone time in a resturaunt lolll 😂 Share your eats and hashtag @ #missnom_nom with the other nom nom community 🙌

The venue boasts skilled live music technicians who ensure top-notch sound quality for performances. With numerous awards to its name, the hotel is a popular choice for touring bands and has featured renowned acts like Tame Impala.
We saw Crash Test Dummies here last night . I must say short walk to the venue , from the moment we got there the staff where helpful and friendly , very busy great atmosphere, shame they didn’t have a few more smaller tables for the show nothing to lean on no where to put your drinks standing room only . First time there really nice space .I was also surprised the drinks didn’t seem like a RIP OFF thank you 🙏 If you feel unsafe or anything at all speak to the staff they WILL listen One thing I was really proud to see signs in the venue . Over all I would visit again if I lived closer . Worth a visit though !!

This place was busy with many tables having reserved signs on them. Has at least four outside levels of seating with the upper outside area for smokers/vapers. Live DJ music and very friendly and happy atmosphere. The service from Noah was great. You can pick him out from the crowd as he looks a lot like John Legend. He gets that every day. But he was cheerful and helpful despite it being busy and rushed off their feet. You could order from your table using QR Code but this day they switched it off cos they didn't have staff numbers to accommodate. Wasn't a hassle ordering from bar as they had one till for food and two others for drinks. You didn't have to wait too long to be served and the food queue dissipated quickly. Despite tables being reserved, there were still plenty of spaces to sit. Some tables like ours, caught the hot sun so we moved to another. Tables are large and small but I recommend booking a table for large groups. The food we ordered was very nice and good value. Overall a great place to come for an arvo bevy and with good company.

Enjoyed the vibe and pub grub at the Rosemount. However, not having been before, I didn't realise it's completely outdoors which wasn't ideal in the middle of winter without a coat. Fortunately, I was the first of our group to arrive and secured a toasty spot underneath the outdoor heater.

Visited Friday 26th Sept to attend For the Jumper as a work colleague was MC. Unfortunately, as soon as I arrived, I had a fall. I didn't realise the split level and when I just took a step, down I went. The security guy came to my aid straight away and then a female staff member came. Once back on my feet, I was in considerable pain. Security guy went and got a chair for me. I was offered ice for swelling and then, once I'd hobbled inside, the female staff member greeted us ( my friend and me) and said she'd put chairs to the side of the stage so I could sit for the show. Unfortunately, pain got the better of me and I couldn't stay beyond half time.... we did get to sing the North Melbourne song though as there was no band for them. Although my night was ruined, and I had to leave, the staff were outstanding in their attention to me after the fall. I don't know their names, but I hope they read this and know their help was appreciated. I'm a bit sore and bruised today, but will revisit again soon.

Rooftop Movies offers a unique outdoor cinema experience with a mix of cult films and new releases. Set on top of a car park, the venue features deck chairs, vintage caravans, and flamingos for an eclectic vibe. Guests can enjoy comfortable beanbags or book premium double beanbags or deckchairs for a more exclusive viewing experience. Food and drinks are available, including popcorn, and guests can also bring their own food. The atmosphere is described as fantastic with improved sound quality.
I had the best time. I booked a deckchair because I just don’t find bean bags comfortable and the chairs were sooo comfy and in a good location too. The movie was at 7:45 but I arrived at 6 so I could have dinner and watch the sunset which I absolutely recommend to do. Before 7:15 it’s not busy so there is no line for food and drinks, the view is stunning and you can pick where you want to sit. Even on warm nights I would recommend to bring a blanket or something comfy to keep you warm because the wind does make it chilly, and it gives a nice vibe when watching the movie too. I would definitely do this again and again arrive earlier than most.
Natasja L — Google review
I loved the experience, I went on a Tuesday night. The beanbags are comfortable, but if you want to watch the movie “lying down”, I suggest you sit further forward. The popcorn was delicious, the beer and soda were cold. The receptionist and staff were polite. I plan on going again.

A very good idea and concept, but...... We paid for premium seating. 2 ppl per beanbag $36, which is fine IF the beanbags were of good quality and we weren't sitting on the floor. The food is absolutely amazing! The wait is not, but understandable as the movie was sold out. Overall: Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Value for money: 2/10 We left halfway through the movie as it was extremely uncomfortable on the very deflated beanbags.

I decided to end my working week with Rooftop yoga – run by Blooming Happy Yoga (BHY) - at Rooftop Movies, followed by a screening of 'The Devil Wears Prada.' The yoga class was well attended and was quite social too, so it’s a great way to meet new people. I really enjoyed the yoga. Zahra (the owner of BHY) runs a really good class and gives you the option to modify or rest as needed. To me, this is the sign of a good teacher. Chair pose featured quite a bit and I can comfortably say that my legs are still feeling it a couple of days later ;-) (although I had also done yoga on Thursday night – so that might have contributed!). But seriously, the class was really enjoyable. It went for about an hour and was a great way to end the working week. It’s a great venue and I could have sworn I saw clouds floating during the night, which is really cool for only being 6 levels up. The staff at Rooftop Movies are really friendly and everything works well. There’s comfy beanbags to sit on during the movie, which is great. On the subject of weather, I'd bring a jumper or hire a blanket, as even if it’s warm, sometimes it can cool off. After an hour of yoga, I had worked up quite an appetite. This brings me to one of my favourite subjects – food! I must say, at Rooftop Movies, the food options are great. With snacks including everything from popcorn and cheese twisties to sweet treats like maltesers and choc honeycomb marshmallows (yes please!) you’re spoilt for choice. Then there’s the burgers and other savoury options from ‘Benedict’s Burgerbuns.’ Whoever named the burgers has a great sense of humour. With names like the ‘Matthew Meatconaughey’ and the ‘Morgan Beefman’, you know they love what they do. Vegans are also catered for, with the ‘vegan fox’ burger on offer, along with chips. Oh, and there’s also loaded cheeseburger chips. I happened to see these when I ordered and experienced food envy right away! They come with beef, cheese, cheese sauce, pickles and house sauce, with the option to add bacon bits. Yum! They also do loaded cheesy bacon chips, as well as mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders. So, there’s something for everyone. I opted for the Matthew Meatconaughey, which comes with beef, lettuce, tomato, pickles (which I love) and cheese and house sauce. Naturally, I ordered chips with my burger. Getting dinner for $20 ($14 for the burger and $6 for chips) is a great deal! I really enjoyed my burger. The bun was tasty and the sauces melded with the beef, cheese and pickles really well. I washed it down with a non-alcoholic ginger beer, which was great on a warm evening. Hats off to the kitchen staff who did a great job on a really busy night! The movie was great too. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the film. I thought it was a movie about fashion, but it ended up being so much more. The all-star cast of Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt deliver fantastic performances. Each of their characters develops in their own way. We learn that Andy - played by the amazing Anne Hathaway - is a journalist who doesn’t fit the fashion world. Despite this, Andy gets a job at the prestigious ‘Runway Magazine’. This is a job that ‘a million girls would kill for’ - so says Nigel, played by the wonderful Stanley Tucci. Andy’s colleague Emily - played brilliantly by Emily Blunt is only too happy to point out to Andy that she doesn’t belong. Then of course there’s Miranda Priestly, the editor of Runway Magazine, played superbly by the great Meryl Streep. We get to see that being wealthy and ‘having it all’ isn’t necessarily the easy, free ride that we want but that is sold to us as an ideal. And your fortunes in the corporate world can turn in an instant. So don’t rely on external sources for your happiness. With that being my first impromptu movie review, I’ll sign off. In the meantime, I recommend checking out BHY's Rooftop yoga. It’s really good. And if you’re not into yoga, just head along to a movie. It’s such a great experience, you’ll definitely want to come back. I sure will.

Parking is tricky on weekends and is something to keep in mind. Also couple beanbags are very filled and can make you feel quite tall in it 😅 popcorn was banging but burgers were very hard to eat sitting in the bean bags. Also slower movies might be harder to hear on weekend as we could hear all the clubs as well.

Excellent experience. Will recommend to mates. Nice to be outdoors watching a movie on the big screen... You can bring your snacks, drinks (but not alcoholic), and enjoy the movie. There are options of drinks (including alcohol) and snacks, burgers and chips... Not many signs for the way in though, maybe because I came from the nearest way from Perth train station... There are toilets available too.

The sound was intermittent. Complained on the night, but the sound continued to be intermittent. Then the film went out of focus and wasn't pulled back into focus. I mentioned these issues to the projectionist and said that's why we're leaving half way thru the film. Disappointing.

Fun little night out. So convenient it’s on top of a car park. Burgers were good and have gluten free option. Snack bar is good. I found it’s not overly packed, so there was never really a long wait to order your food and drinks. Also not a long line for the bathroom. We did have to leave early as the movie stopped working but these thing happen! What can you do 🤷🏼‍♀️ will be back 😌

A lovely place to visit... in winter! There's very limited shade - none over the play equipment, but the benches and tables are shaded - so hats, sunscreen and water bottles are a must. It has a great mix of playgrounds separated by walkways (only the first playground, next to The Camfield carpark, is enclosed). Plenty of on-site parking, great food at The Camfield and the Matagarup Bridge connects with the East Perth side, and is another peaceful walk.

Great playgrounds plenty of shelter available. Good bbq facilities, although a little far to the toilets. Need more shade/shelters at the optus sensory playground.

I went for morning walk. Weather was perfect in beginning of September. Quiet, very clean and safe place to walk or run. I could not stop exploring. Love this place.
J B — Google review
This playground is great for all ages since they have things for every kid. Probably the best playground I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to a lot of playgrounds. They just need a little more shade and it would be perfect.

Park
Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Swan River in East Perth, Mardalup Park is a delightful hidden gem perfect for family outings. Its name, derived from the Noongar language meaning 'place of small marsupial,' reflects its rich cultural heritage. The park offers stunning views of Optus Stadium and Matagarup Bridge, making it an ideal backdrop for picnics. Families can enjoy barbecues while children play on swings or shoot hoops at the basketball court.
Very beautiful park with kids play ground with amazing views and cafes near by

"A haven of calm and serenity—tranquillity wraps around you like a gentle breeze. Whether you're strolling or jogging, the park's breathtaking scenery makes every step a joy."

Stopped there with my toddler during our bike ride for a break. I was pleasantly surprised as we usually just ride by. There is plenty of shade and the surroundings are very beautiful. There is a water fountain and benches for parents to sit down while the kids are having fun. Will definitely go back as my son loved the seesaw.

Playground
Ivey Watson Playground, nestled within Kings Park, is a haven for children aged 6 and under. The fenced area boasts diverse play zones, including a pirate ship playground, slides, a maze, an aeroplane and fire engine truck, swings, balancing beams and stepping stones. Adjacent to the playground is a bustling cafe serving take-out coffees. Families can enjoy picnics on the ample grassy areas while keeping an eye on their little ones at play.
My girl enjoyed playing here for more than 2 hours! There are kids’ toilets at the playground!
Kae W — Google review
A large shaded playground boasting a pirate ship, castle, fire truck and other fun things to discover. There is ample sheltered seating areas or a lawn area if you prefer to picnic instead.
Raman B — Google review
A great little area for the kids - contains clean bbq facilities, gazebos, shaded areas and a playground suitable for young children. drink fountains, climbing equipment. Thoroughly recommend for families. Lots of greenery makes for a relaxing experience.
Marika E — Google review
Great playground. Lots of different areas with varying levels of difficulty. My 3 yo and 5 yo loved it. Nice grassy spot for a picnic. Lots of shadey areas. Easy to order takeaway from the cafe. Watch out for the crows - they are very cheeky and have an eye on your food. They know how to open packaging.
Kerri-Ellen S — Google review
This playground has a shed, and there is a cafe next to it. Kids can have fun and parents can have a cup of coffee. There is a toilet nearby as well.

Hi. How can we reach somebody to chop the brances off the tree near the red climbing pyramid in this playground please ? The kids try to touch and it is not safe! The star rating is to attract attention only. Thanks!
Natalia B — Google review
My daughter and I visited this place today. Unfortunately, I couldn't take a picture of the slide, but I didn't see the slide I saw to on Google. It looked a little not easy for my daughter to playground, but there were lots of fun rides in the pods. We are satisfied.

Great areas for kids to run amok, best I think for kids under 10. Fenced area its huge and conveniently located with a cafe next to it. Those guys are really pumping out the take out coffees! Different play zones makes this unique. A wooden ship in a pirate theme, monkey bars, a maze for the little kids and different climbing things to challenge all comers. Can sit outside the area as well with plenty of grass all round. Busy and for good reasons.

This park truly has something for everyone! The massive kids’ playground is a dream come true for little ones, and the variety of sports facilities from the football field, soccer field to the basketball and tennis courts, makes it perfect for active families and athletes alike. The skatepark adds an extra layer of fun and energy. Clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. An excellent community space for all ages

Great place for people of all ages to be active in different sports, and for kids very young or older! There is always something for everyone to play or participate in certain activities, one would have to come and see what are available for each individual. Two different slides available for average kids and very young kids between 1 to 3 yrs old made of terrazzo surface.

What’s the point of having a basketball court if the court is being use by the same group of people everyday playing 2 full courts or the whole courts it’s not a gym it’s public park it’s not first come first serve (Photos was taken month ago when I confronted them they obviously didn’t like it)
Ross B — Google review
Nice cafe , relaxing , green and open space views while enjoy a cuppa with friend and family. Well equipped play ground and nice walk over a small creek, we saw huge a colour fish swimming under the footbridge which was a bonus. A wonderful place to spend for morning tea/lunch/BBQ/picnic and afternoon tea if you like.

A wonderful playground for all ages. Great nature play that includes a balance course through the dampland. It's such fun for kids and grown ups! This is a park that's absolutely worth a visit. There are toilets, BBQ, picnic tables, and a cafe. There's also heaps of grass area to run around on, a skate park, tennis, soccer field, footy field, outdoor exercise equipment! There's seriously so much to do for all ages.
