Open air museum
Museum of science dedicated to exploring the world of science and technology. The 400 exhibits cover a range of topics such as electricity, water, motors, sound and the human body. The building which houses the museum is from 1910 and was originally meant to be the Technion's first campus.
Great hands-on experience for kids and super engaging. The bottom floor is suitable for toddlers, and the first floor is great for kids. The second floor is awesome for bigger kids/teenagers to learn. Kids from all ages can find something that interests them here. It’s a huge place. Three hours easily passed without notice.
Peggy M — Google review
Madatech, Israel’s National Museum of Science, Technology and Space, is a true wonderland for everyone from age 2 to 99. Housed in the historic Technion building where Einstein once planted a palm tree, this museum brings hands-on science to life in ways you won’t find anywhere else. Tip: On a typical Saturday afternoon there’s almost no line at the ticket counter, but buying online in advance saves you ₪5 per ticket. Inside the first building, you’ll explore three floors of interactive exhibits. The upper two levels are filled with live experiments on mechanics, electricity generation (you can crank a real dynamo yourself!), electric-car steering, light spectra, airflow, waves and frequencies, sound, pressure and even space exploration. On the ground floor, little engineers can run wild in a giant Lego zone, splash around in the water playground building dams and sluices, navigate mazes and try out hands-on construction tables. Outside, the Noble Energy Science Park invites you to pull, push and climb giant installations powered by wind, sun and water. You’ll see Archimedes’ screws, computer-controlled fountains and a 400-seat amphitheater for impressive water-and-light shows. Don’t miss the second building with its rotating exhibitions. We loved “Behind the Screen,” a digital show complete with chroma-key studios, immersive projections and an anatomically detailed tour of the human circulatory system. There’s always something new on display, from space missions to historical collections. Finally, check out the Wanger Family Fab-Lab and education wing, where you can design your own 3D prints and join workshops in robotics, genetics and environmental science. Madatech is more than a museum—it’s a place where curiosity sparks and everyone rediscovers the joy of discovery.
Lev S — Google review
Probably the best museum for adults and kids alike, in Israel. Many interactive displays, changing and new exhibits from time to time, making a revisit worthy. The LEGO playroom on the bottom floor can fill an hour on its own. Parking might be a bit tricky, but I’ve managed to every time I’ve visited.
Alex B — Google review
Great experience, I loved that they had you fill in a sticker with your phone number on it and attached it to your kid encased you get separated. There's water play, so consider bringing a change of clothes.
Heidi R — Google review
Very nice science museum, inside a beautiful old building in Haifa. Very nice physics examples, however some of them are not operating because of lack of maintenance. Tickets are quite expensive but the children were interested and enjoyed the museum.
Danny C — Google review
Great science museum, the kids love it every time we go there! In the summer they turn on the splash pad Fountain and they loce to get wet in it, bring bathing suits! Sukkah for sukkot is provided on the campus.
Tova L — Google review
We had to the pleasure to visit at the museum, this is full day family experience, a lot of information, great opportunity to learn, for the kids and the adults, over all, in, for Israelis the place clean and organize. Got packed after 4 pm, when the place became open for free.
Aviv V — Google review
Great place to enjoy with the kids for few hours, especially on hot or on rain days. Each room designed on different subject, and invite you to play, touch and explore each one and one of the items. The place recommended for kids over 3 years old, and it is fully accessable. This days there is also a dinosaurs exhibition, which is very lovely and highly recommended.

Stella Maris Monastery is a Carmelite monastery with an elevated altar, muraled dome roof, and ornate stained-glass window. It's located in Haifa, near the Bat Galim waterfront which offers a beautiful beach with a promenade and various amenities. Visitors can also hike up to the monastery and take a cable car down to the waterfront, although it's not operational on Saturdays.
Beautiful ceiling painting. Elijah's cave in inside the Monastery. The monastery opened at 3 pm o I had a 30 minute wait. Took gondola up and down great views of Port of Haifa. Admission is free. Donation is optional.

Beautiful monastery on the Carmel mountain. The church area is open for a visit. Very beautiful paints. Look on the visit hours. No admission. Have pay toilets. Parking around is free.
Shai N — Google review
It's a beautiful church with paintings on the ceiling. Serene and peaceful atmosphere that is before the tourist crowd comes in. A prayerful place to worship the Lord. Ample parking space is available. Good view of the Haifa bay on the opposite side of the church. Worth a visit.
Atine D — Google review
Quiet, and special place for christians. It closes at noon and inside there was renovation going on so I could only see the alter. Not much to see as an attraction but it was meaningful to visit and there is a beautiful (but locked) holy family chapel nearby (quite a climbing 🧗‍♀️up back after visiting). The unexpected joy is the view. The ocean and big ships 🚢 and the city view are all stunning.
Cecilia R — Google review
The Stella Maris Church is a beautiful structure, its interior walls covered with white marble panels so bright and well placed, that visitors sometimes think the walls have been painted. The dome, decorated by the Maltese Carmelite Luigi Poggi (1924-1928), depicts episodes from the Bible, the most distinct being the scene of Prophet Elijah ascending to Heaven in a chariot of fire. The statue of the Virgin Mary placed at the center of the main altar, standing on a pedestal carved from a cedar of Lebanon, is devoutly venerated by the local Christians.
Vid — Google review
Lovely chapel With beautiful view And gardens The inner side is decorated With marble of many colours Free parking Delicious Coffee and cake next door in the Austrian coffee Free entrance Toilet for usage
Ofer R — Google review
Nice little chapel with magnificent art on the walls and on the ceilings. The monastery itself cannot be visitied (by normal visitors/tourist). The view over the bay of Haifa is astonishing (you can see as far as Lebanon if the weather is good) and worth a trip even if you are not interested in chapels.
Lukas F — Google review
Beautiful monastery featuring Elijah’s cave, though it is a bit small. Would be nice to have some more descriptions about the significance Also worth noting that one should take a visit to Shimon Perez lookout point for an aerial view of Haifa since it is just around the corner

Zoo
Outdoor Activities
Nestled within the lush Gan Ha'Em park, Haifa Zoo is home to a diverse array of native animals housed in open-air habitats. Visitors can observe roaring lions, tigers, brown bears, monkeys, lemurs, snakes, reptiles, crocodiles, kangaroos and various bird species including eagles and owls. The zoo also features a botanical garden and an archaeology museum. A tram is available to navigate the hilly terrain.
Nice zoo. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! They've got lots of exotic animals that I have rarely seen in other zoos here in Israel.
Chevy R — Google review
The variety of animals was nice and the info on them. However, the living quality is poor and the scenery is less than wonderful. More than half of the opportunities to interact with animals were closed. The price to get in was considering their limitations though so it is not over priced.
Nadiana J — Google review
I honestly don’t know how this place is allowed to operate in its current state. The Haifa Zoo is a complete nightmare, especially if you’re coming with children or god forbid a stroller. Be warned: this zoo is built on a series of steep, winding, and frankly dangerous hills. It feels more like a hike through a poorly maintained mountainside than a family-friendly animal park. There are no proper ramps, barely any handrails in key spots, and the paths are so steep and uneven I was genuinely worried for our safety multiple times. Stroller-friendly? Absolutely not. You’ll either be holding on for dear life trying to stop it from rolling down the hill or dragging it backwards up narrow, slippery paths. It’s exhausting, unsafe, and completely inconsiderate to families with small children or anyone with mobility issues. It’s as if accessibility was never even a thought when they planned this place. And as for the animals… what animals? There were barely any. Maybe 10-15 enclosures actually had anything in them, and the ones that did had animals that looked either stressed, lethargic, or hiding in the farthest corner where you couldn’t even see them. Half the cages looked abandoned or under construction. It felt more like a ghost town with a few sad animals scattered around than a functioning zoo. To top it off, signage is poor, there’s little shade, and the whole place feels dated and neglected. Definitely not worth the price of admission. We left frustrated, sweaty, and incredibly disappointed. Save your money and your energy — Haifa Zoo is one steep disaster.
Sam L — Google review
This zoo is on the mountain side, there are some quite serious hills to climb at times. So be prepared for that. I suggest buying tickets through some coupon site like groo (groupon). I like this zoo because I've known it since my childhood. There are many animals. The variety of animals is changing from time to time. There is a nice place with snacks and ice creams to take a break. There is a small museum of prehistoric man. I give it a 4 because the cages of the animals are often small. And some of them are alone without partners. Also last time I went (january 2023) there were some places under construction.
Arthur K — Google review
Great zoo for visiting with children. Great alternative if you do not want to travel to the country's center. Not so big but not small at the same time. There is a park and playground for children close to the zoo entrance. Cons there is no good parking close to the zoo. At least I did not find it.
Gabriel F — Google review
Positive: discounts for olive hadashim, amazing flamingo cage, nice big cats (tiger and leopard), interesting reptiles area. Negative: A lot of closed locations without animals, rats it the parrots cage.
Alexey R — Google review
Great experience in a very nice zoo in the middle of the Carmel center. Lot of unique animals (especially the Bangal White Tiger). Recommended and the price to the zoo is small (can get a coupon from ither site so entry for one person is only 29₪).
Edgar A — Google review
Very sweet zoo. Not big like the Safari, so feels like at home. Very special and unusual animals which makes the visit much more interesting than a regular zoo. Very recommanded.

The Hecht Museum, situated at the University of Haifa, is a captivating destination for history and art enthusiasts. The museum's collection spans from the Canaanite to the Byzantine periods, featuring religious altars, lamps, Bronze Age figurines, inscribed seals from the biblical era, and a 2,400-year-old shipwreck. Notably showcased are well-restored mosaics and troves of ancient coins.
We came here by chance after seeing a sign that said "free entry", and I'm glad we did. It's an archeology museum within Haifa University with exhibits from various periods of the Middle East region, at the latest about 6000 years. The museum is very well invested and you can see more or less everything in half an hour to an hour at most. If you're in the area, I recommend it very much
Shachar P — Google review
Archaeological museum inside!university of Haifa. The entry is for free and needs to put your backpacks at the entrance. The overall exhibition space is not big. The visiting experience will be ideal if there is a guide explaining to you while going over all the items here. There’s an ancient ship in the exhibition hall, special and gigantic!
Frank Y — Google review
Lovely museum with some unexpected and unique exhibits. The admission is free. We have visited on Saturday, so it was almost empty of people, perfect for quiet exploration.
Noitalumis — Google review
Nice museum. Small but lots of interesting exhibits.its inside haifa university so there's other places to visit and it's close to the cable car. Also worth going on
Denis M — Google review
Discovered this museum by accident. Free admission and impressive collection of artifacts make it absolutely worth your while. I went with 3 kids ages 4 through 10, and they all had a great time, as did I. Warmly recommended.
Ethan S — Google review
This is my 2nd visit to this museum. It has a vast collection of most interesting Archeological finds. The museum itself is beautiful. The display units & descriptive explanatory signs are so clear, in Hebrew & English. I had no idea there was an Art Gallery on the upper floor...most interesting. Highly recommended to visit this museum, and it's free!
Dorothy B — Google review
The museum is larger than it looks, clean and well maintained, showing exciting archeological finds, and paintings. And it's free! To get there, I recommend taking the Rakvalit to the top, it's the most exciting 15 minutes you'll have in Israel.
Marina — Google review
Visited Haifa for the day. Came with the train and then took the "Rachbalit" to the last stop. Hecht museum is less then 5 min walk from the stop. The entrance is free of charge and the museum is quite big! The kids got a "passport" with explanations and activities and we all had a great time.

Modern art museum
The Haifa Museum of Art is one of the six museums in Haifa, Israel. It houses a diverse collection of contemporary works by Israeli and global artists such as Marc Chagall and Chana Orloff. The museum's building, a unique stone structure from the 1920s, adds to its charm and historical significance. Divided into five areas, the museum showcases emerging Israeli art, new mediums, installation art, personal selections from cultural figures with commentary, and special visiting exhibitions.
I loved their exposition. It is a very well curated collection of modern art, with lots of significance… The videos are worth seeing, and very well complemented with the huge objects that come to life within the walls of this museum. You enjoy them much more after watching the videos.
Vasti O — Google review
The exhibitions were interesting and well curated. The museum encourages interacting with the pieces of art. In one area you could put on gloves and touch the sculptures and you were also provided with paper and pencils to draw the sculptures. The museum is located in an area where you can walk around and get something to eat.
Sasha Y — Google review
you really need to find whats on before going there. With Two small levels you really need to decide if it's worse it. if u ever been in any other museums overseas this one is to be a miss.

Nice cost place 3 levels, cafe and a gift shop. Met a humble old guard. Friendly staff can't say much about management as they seem overly reacted in slight action at when photo of old security man and talk with him for long.

Great place to see some modern art by Israeli artists. An added bonus was that it was free for Shabbat and one of the few places that were open on Saturday. One of the "exhibits" was a live performance in the exhibit hall, which was very interesting

Nestled near the bustling port of Haifa, the Clandestine Immigration and Naval Museum offers a captivating glimpse into Israel's maritime history. This unique museum chronicles the evolution of the Israeli navy, which began as a Palmach force dedicated to facilitating clandestine immigration for Jews escaping Europe during tumultuous times. Through engaging exhibitions, visitors can explore the harrowing tales of Aliyah Bet—the illegal immigration efforts thwarted by British authorities from 1934 to 1948.
Very interesting. Heart-touching history of European Jewish immigration to Israel. A lot of exciting navy ships and a submarine. You can also enter several ships and submarine as well.
Gabriel F — Google review
Great museum to understand the naval history is Israel. It was exciting to be able to go inside the submarine and naval ships.
DJ H — Google review
The Clandestine Immigration and Naval Museum is a technical history museum located in Haifa, Israel. The museum covers the maritime history of Israel – from clandestine immigration during the British Mandate for Palestine through the history of the Israeli navy since its inception. 🫰🏻🫰🏻
Alex D — Google review
If you speak only English: most of the text is not translated The real boats and the historic part are not on the same ticket, a shame! I visited only the historic part of the museum which was very nice even if english explainations are missing
Robin — Google review
Like most military museums, the place is in need of maintenance and renovation, but (!) don't let that deter you – it's an important place to visit and entering the submarine is an almost surreal experience. Not to be missed.
Rotem Z — Google review
Interesting museum telling the history of the Israeli Navy. Not much about "Clandestine" or illegal immigration. Bring your passport or at least a photo if you're not Israeli.
Alan H — Google review
Small but well-arranged museum. The main body is a naval vessel surrounded by halls. If you are interested in the history of Jewish (illegal) immigration in the early 20th century, this is a good place to know. All the exhibits are related to historical events, which shows the Jewish strong will in immigration to this land. There is a submarine visitors can go inside.

Museums
The Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art is a small museum located on Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel. It is home to a significant collection of Japanese art, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics and swords. The museum offers visitors a chance to learn about Japanese culture through exhibits and demonstrations of traditional Japanese arts such as tea ceremonies.
This museum offers an intimate experience within its compact space. Its well-curated exhibits and beautiful artifacts make every visit worthwhile.
Carmi A — Google review
The worst experience I’ve ever had. 35 NIS for 2 rooms (one room was fully occupied with 15-20 children sitting all over the floor). 1 room was a video, another- 10 photos. That’s it. No one has warned us that it is so small, no one provided any info. Seems like a place not worth any visit at all. Cafe is nice but very pricey. Museum shop is nice too but they are free.
Yana Y — Google review
I was actually there only for a meeting and I have to say that I can only review the coffee shop on the second floor. This is a coffee shop for laptoppers who need a few hours for a meeting or just some space from work at home. It's air-conditioned and has electricity and Wi-Fi. And the best thing about it is that The offer packages snacks such as a sandwich bake plus a pastry and coffee or tea unlimited refill in a very fair price. Unfortunately, the coffee is not that tasty, but you can always choose a good natural cup of tea
Erez M — Google review
Founded in 1959, this was the first museum in the Middle East devoted entirely to Japanese art. The building itself is lovely — a graceful mix of Japanese style and local architecture, surrounded by peaceful greenery. Temporary exhibitions are always interesting and often include creative activities for children, which makes the visit enjoyable for families too. The souvenir shop is tasteful and offers quality Japanese-themed items. My only regret is that the museum’s famous permanent collection — thousands of beautiful artworks collected by Felix Tikotin since the 1920s — is rarely on display.
Ilia M — Google review
There are fascinating things to see here, but it's a relatively small museum. It seems there are as many people using the free wifi at the upstairs Cafe as there are checking out the exhibits on the ground floor. I wish there was more to see.
Barry — Google review
It’s a nice small museum, with a Japanese garden, interactive options such as origami-making, new exhibitions each half a year, adorable museum shop, and coffee shop. The entrance is now free of charge for soldiers and their families
Jane V — Google review
such a beautiful museum rich in culture, has a modern setting. every corner had so much information to offer. you get in, you buy a 30 shekel tickets from the reception, then they gave us origami paper with no explanation. when we got in, we got under rice cloths. the museum had paintings, photographs, clothes, accessories, and so many other displays, have I mentioned the Japanese garden as well? there’s also a show going on every now and then, unfortunately we didn’t arrive in time for it we went in a little late. but we had enough time to experience the cafe upstairs. of course I had to order a matcha latte. and it was more than delicious, such good quality matcha. I also had a cookie, we went late so most of the stuff were sold out. the barista was so kind as well and the cafe seating is modern, comfy, and ypu will feel like you’re in a cafe in japan. (isn’t this the point) the museum gift shop is also pretty, a little expensive but that’s how it is everywhere. I really don’t have more words to describe this place, so here’s the pictures for you.
Jana S — Google review
Great pThe Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art in Haifa is an absolute must-visit and a truly surprising cultural oasis on Mount Carmel. It is the only museum of its kind in the Middle East, and it lives up to its unique reputation by offering a profound and tranquil immersion into the world of Japanese art and aesthetics. From the moment you step through the entrance, the thoughtfully designed, Japanese-inspired architecture—with its sliding doors and wooden accents—transports you. The atmosphere is one of serene beauty, perfectly complementing the art on display. It offers a calming and elegant change of pace from the hustle of the city. The exhibitions are superb and meticulously curated. Given that the displays are changed regularly (approximately every three months) from the extensive 7,000+ item collection (including paintings, prints, exquisite netsuke carvings, ceramics, and antique swords), every visit feels fresh and new. I was particularly impressed by the sheer quality and historical depth of the artifacts, showcasing everything from the classical Edo period to fascinating contemporary works and design. Beyond the artwork itself, the museum is a genuine cultural center. They frequently host engaging activities, from lectures and films to traditional tea ceremonies and courses in Japanese language and arts. This commitment to cultural education truly enhances the visitor experience, making it more than just a gallery. For those looking for a moment of quiet reflection, the museum building and its surroundings create an unforgettable sense of peace. It's a testament to the founder's vision that such a rich and meaningful collection, saved and preserved through a remarkable history, has found such a beautiful home in Haifa. The Tikotin Museum is a hidden gem that successfully promotes cross-cultural understanding through the beauty and elegance of Japanese artistic tradition. Highly recommended for art lovers, culture enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a moment of exquisite tranquility.lace to visit.

Very nice sidewalks, with a lot of restaurants and coffee houses. You can walk, run or bike. The beach is a good place for kids and adults. And the lifeguard is on a watch from the early morning.

Such a beautiful beach, a good place to hang out with your family and friends. There are some restaurants and bar near the beach and some stores for drinks, nut, chips and ice cream. They have bathrooms and showers as well. A great place to relax 😌 👌.

Hof Dadu (Dadu Beach) is one of the most beautiful beaches not only in Israel, but in the world to.. It was not once rewarded by different international sings, flags, etc. It is really very comfortable place, where you can lie in sun (оn the sand or on the grass), visit many cafes and restaurants. In swimming season there are always lifeguards working and controlling the situation. There are also many lavatories, showers and places for personal hygiene. Some cafe-owners give free deck chairs to anyone. Not far from the beach is situated the Bus Station.

Bat Galim Beach in Haifa is a top spot for water sports enthusiasts, with windsurfing and kiteboarding being popular activities. The beach offers rental equipment and lessons for those interested. Families can enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere at Hof HaCarmel Beach nearby. The unique north-facing coastline of Bat Galim makes it an international paradise for various water sports like surfing, kayaking, and boating.
My favorite beach in Haifa. Usually less crowded, and definitely less obnoxious than the other beaches in the city. I love walking here from my home in Hadar most evenings. Great for feeling nostalgic while staring out in the sea. I also like the view of the port, and Akko, Nahariya, and on a clear day, Rosh Hanikra.
Evan M — Google review
One of the most beautiful beach in Haifa. Clean neat and well maintained. There is coffee shop , public toilets , showers etc... Good place to watch sunset. Very little parking space available on weekends. Pleasant public beach with view of ships in harbor in the distance.
CB B — Google review
Overview & Atmosphere Bat Galim (“Daughter of the Waves”) is a long‑established, vibrant neighborhood beach nestled at the base of Mount Carmel. Stretching approximately 280 m with gently sloping, sandy to pebbly shores, it’s considered one of Haifa’s top beaches . The water is clean and clear, and boat breakwaters help keep the sea calm—perfect for swimmers and families (). It’s a local favorite, especially among seniors, residents, students, and water-sport enthusiasts . While not as crowded as some larger city beaches, weekends can still bring a steady crowd, including surfers catching the consistent waves and SUP paddlers gliding in the calmer waters (). Amenities & Accessibility Bat Galim offers a full range of amenities: • Free bathroom/shower/changing facilities and lifeguard supervision . • Deckchairs, umbrellas, benches, and seaside gardens along the promenade create a comfortable beachside setting . • A small children’s playground, beachside cafes and snack bars, and public parking (although parking fills quickly on weekends) contribute to its convenience (). Public transport access is excellent. The Haifa–Bat Galim train station and central bus station are a short walk away, and summer Egged bus lines operate even on Saturdays . Additionally, the Bat Galim cable car climbs up Mount Carmel, offering stunning views and easy access to Stella Maris Monastery . Activities & Surroundings This beach seamlessly blends relaxation with active fun: • Swimming in calm, clear Mediterranean waters. • Surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, along with paddleboarding, are popular year-round . • The jogging/biking promenade, lined with palm trees and gardens, stretches toward Dado Beach—ideal for scenic evening walks . • Nearby attractions include the National Maritime Museum, the lively Haifa port views, and just a cable-car-ride away, the serene Stella Maris historic site. The historic “Casino” building—a nod to the neighborhood’s 1920s heyday—is currently under redevelopment, inciting local concern over its impact, yet evident signs of revival and community pride remain. Experience & Highlights • The sunset over the bay is transformative—watching the sky shift over the harbor and distant Akko coastline is mesmerizing. • The mix of local retirees, surfers, families, students, and tourists adds warmth and authenticity. • It’s dog-friendly, welcoming pets for strolls along the shore . • Safety is key: lifeguards are on duty, and the breakwaters make swims mellow, though caution is needed around rocky patches near the shore . Tips & Best Times • Visit midweek or early morning for more space—weekends fill fast and parking is tight. • Bring aqua shoes if you plan to walk in the surf zone—rocks can be sharp (). • Combine your beach day with a cable-car ride up the Carmel or a stroll through the Baha’i Gardens for a richer Haifa experience. Verdict Bat Galim Beach is more than just a sunbathing spot—it’s a community hub set against beautiful Mediterranean and urban landscapes. With excellent amenities, diverse recreational options, rich history, and easy transport access, it caters to a wide range of visitors. It’s a gem in Haifa’s coastal crown, especially during spring and autumn when the water is inviting and the crowds thin out. Whether you’re here to soak up the sun, ride the waves, or simply wander along the promenade, Bat Galim delivers a balanced blend of laid-back charm and lively energy—definitely worth your Haifa itinerary.

The beach is great. However a bit small and there are some rocks in the shallow waters
Avi G — Google review
Small beach, so it was pretty quiet. The water was really clear. Thing is, right at the shore you have a very uneven ground with big rocks you might get your knee into and sharp rocks that gave me cuts all over my feet. So, go in with shoes or just don't go in.

The National Maritime Museum, established in 1953, offers a fascinating exploration of maritime history, ocean archaeology, and the world of pirates. It is one of the branches of the Haifa Museums and showcases a diverse collection of contemporary art by Israeli and foreign artists. The museum is divided into five areas featuring emerging Israeli art, new mediums, installation art, personal choice exhibits with commentary from cultural figures, and special visiting exhibitions.
This was a lovely museum to visit in Haifa. I went with friends and spent just over an hour here. It's not a huge museum, and the top floor with archaeology was the most interesting, but the exhibit on astrophotography was really incredible. It's free on Shabbat, but the museum was full of small children who were very loud. Definitely kid friendly, and they had lots of activities to dress up in costumes, draw pictures and more.
Aeryn R — Google review
Pretty good. Obviously packed during the intermediate days of Passover. Not a whole lot of interactive things to do. The models of historical Israeli ships were fascinating, but don't expect to spend many hours there with kids. 1-2 hours is enough time.
Aaron G — Google review
Exceeded our expectations. Many interesting exhibits professionally presented. Learned a lot about Israel's ports and shipping industry. Even some interactive fun stuff for the kids.
Joel R — Google review
Small maritime museum with two main exhibition floors. On the lower level you'll find some pirate weaponry items and models. On the upper floor there are historical ship models and some archeological items. Except for an astronomical photos exhibition on the entrance floor there aren't any new exhibitions. The entire tour is 1.5 - 2 hours.

Sure is NOT worth the 3hr "Roundtrip" from Airbnb to THIS "So Called...Museum"! As SOON as I walked in the door, I was directed over to a Woman at the "Kids Books Cashier's Desk" by a young man sitting by the door; on his phone. I walked over, proceeded to get her attention, politely. She was holding a phone receiver in her hand. I think she was on hold with someone. After She started Talking in "Hebrew" to me...I spoke to her BACK (IN HEBREW) That: "I speak a little Hebrew; but not Good" and asked if she spoke English. MY GOODNESS, Her Response, was as if I shifted her life! SHE Pointed TO ME; Then, Pointed back OVER to the young man that sent me to HER! Said a bunch of stuff and didn't realize that I could understand "Some" of what she was saying. I picked up the words (American; Does not speak Hebrew; I'm on the phone; Get 35 Shekels from her.... blah blah blah) I walked thru this "Drabby" Windowless, All the same 70's Style Colored Carpet Museum in about 20 minutes! The Lighting is Extremely Poor and You Can Hardly See The Glass Encased Artifacts. There's NOTHING Inviting About this place. Yes, if you like Historical Maritime Archeological Objects; You MIGHT Like it. PS) Bring a Flashlight 🔦

It's a nice museum, there are many things to do for kids, but it is a bit small. You can spend an hour here with kids. If you are without kids and really read everything then maybe more than an hour. It can be sensed they don't have large budgets. The museum is free on saturday, which is nice. So overall it can be one stop of a few stops in the area but I don't think it is can be a single attraction for a half a day. You can also go to the cable car nearby or the Eliyahu cave if you are into religious stuff. The other Navy museum is cooller for kids IMO, but it isn't open at the weekend.

This beautifully curated museum offers a plethora of information in a multitude of languages, accessible for guests of many nationalities. Inside one will find information pertaining to nautical and Maritime archaeology in addition to underwater excavation videos playing for up-to-date education. One of the most accurate and organized museums in Israel, which also includes educational tours and activities for children. I visited for research purposes, but will return as a visitor in the near-future.

A very nice museum. Not very big, and can be seen in a couple of hours. Free entry on weekends at the current time. Among different era ship models and artifacts found at sea, there are interactive exhibits and games for all ages, such as battleship. The museum has an interesting shop where one can buy and build lego ship models, and other creative puzzles, though the prices are high.

Great place for walking right beside the waterline. There's lots of grass to play with the kids and a few playgrounds which they're setting up shades for just now. Very recommended for every season.

This park is only for religious Jews! I didn't see anyone else there. This shouldn't be a problem in itself, but if you're not a religious Jew, you feel very intimidated by their behavior. Nesher Park, located to the north-east of Haifa, is a 200 dunam (50 acres) park offering a thrilling experience with its 70-meter suspension bridge that spans the seasonal Nahal Katia river. The park features trails through lush vegetation and shrubbery leading to the bridge, as well as additional facilities such as a picnic area, lookout plaza, access trails, and landscaped rock ledges.
Nesher Park is amazing & popular place🥰 Walking on slightly swinging bridges, which are about 70 meters long, is an experience. There is also a hiking trail where you can cross the creek on one bridge and return on the other bridge. Wonderful place to visit with family and friends, wide open nature and amazing views. Free of charge on entry and wide open parking space. A great 20-25 min walk around. Recomended.

Nice park with food trucks(burgers, ice cream, drinks and draft beer(updated: 3 May 2025) Place to get wine, snack and other drinks! Parking is awful, two narrow roads with dead end, hard to turn around and usually occupied, recommend to park before entry(on the street), parking inside is also paid(blue-white) Despite that park is great place, visited it 3 times already 🤩 Highly recommend to visit cemetery viewpoint and think about eternity and what have you done for he Universe

Lovely scenery. Quite fun walking across the bridges. A bit of litter around which spoils the landscape and walk a little bit. We'll worth a visit. There are a few different walks around the park which vary in distance and time they take. We took the short walk which took about 45 mins

Great place! I was here from around 11.00 to 14.00. Lots of parking. Need to pay to park. At enterance of park there are bathrooms and a small kiosk with icecream. Also badatz. Warm day but here very pleasant breeze. Very few people. We saw a few individuals and around 7 small groups. Most of the hike saw no one. We started on the high path took pictures on the first bridge backtracked to second bridge. Need to back track from 2nd bridge to get to green trail to go down to brook. No water in summer. Had veer off green trail to get up to enterance. No entry fee. Sign no stollers on bridges.

Location: at the top of Nesher foothill, at Ramot Yetzhak neighborhood turn right toward the forest. Parking: free parking spots in the entrance yard. Amazing park and a great experience to enjoy with the kids. Around 800 meters path until you reach the bridge. Good place to have a walk and hikes around the area. The Shrine of the Báb, located in Haifa, is a magnificent dome-shaped shrine and mausoleum that houses the remains of the Báb, founder of the Bábí Faith. Situated on Mount Carmel, it offers breathtaking views of the city below. Nearby attractions include the 19th-century Stella Maris Monastery and cable cars that transport visitors to Bat Galim waterfront with its sandy beach and promenade.
The highlight of our visit to Haifa. Beautiful to look at from the valley at night and spectacular to visit during the day.

Avoid. In 33°C heat, they don’t let women in wearing shorts — and this is just the garden, not the shrine itself. Meanwhile, men in shorts are allowed without issue. The Baháʼí Gardens seem oddly fixated on policing women of working age — a mindset not far from the Muslim “modesty.”

Most beautiful Baha'i garden with 19 terraces, also called hanging garden, gives lofty feelings while visiting this place, shrine of the Bab - the fore runner prophet of Baha'i Faith, overlooking the German Colony of German Templers below, that makes Haifa a amazing city beside Mediterranean Sea over the slopes of Mount Carmel in Holy Land, the Israel.

The moment you walk into the grounds of the Baha'i Gardens you will feel as though you've entered into an otherworldly plane. There is a calmness and serenity to the atmosphere as you sit down or walk around. The sounds from the water gushing in the fountains and the pebbles under your feet, paired with the sweet scented flowers, will make you feel at peace. Pray, meditate, or contemplate life - the quietness seeping through and around the Shrine will help you come up with an answer to the challenges you face or will give you a moment in the day to get wrapped up in peaceful thought.

Nice ace to visit. We did the green route in about 1 hour. The route markers are not great and good footware is essential the suspension bridges are good fun and they don't sway. You can do a short 15 minute walk just to the suspension bridges if you are short of time.

Cool bridges, a bit problematic to go up and down between the bridges on the other side because the stones are steep and slippery. The toilets are in bad condition.

The Israel Railway Museum, situated at the former Haifa East Railway Station, offers a captivating journey through Israel's railway history. From the inaugural Jaffa-Jerusalem line in 1892 to the modern Israel Railways, the museum showcases antique locomotives, coaches, luxury trains, and diesel-run trains. The site incorporates remnants of the Ottoman train station and local rail history. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as the Bahai Gardens for a complete experience in downtown Haifa.
Great experience for both adults and children. We spent almost 3 hours there and we could definitely spend more. The museum has two parts, we had a wonderful guiding tour at the museum, guided by the museum's manager who was so patient and answered all of our kids questions. Highly recommended.

I was not planning this visit and once finished some errands in Haifa and saw in the map the museum I immediately walked and entered it. As an avid fan of trains but also totally captivated by the history of the old trains connecting Jerusalem and Jaffa and beyond through the different places of the old Ottoman Empire, Jordan, Syria, Egypt etc this place it’s a jewel and a treasure of history !!!! I saw just the main hall with old locomotive and wagons and got much more to watch and happy about it so I can return once more in the near future… I got two history and picture books in English and the people working there I chatted with were fenomenal !!! Open books about the place and history ! This was such a happy visit !!!!

The train museum was fantastic for my train loving kids. There were a lot of trains they could go inside and see. There was a shady section which was nice and my kids also loved the second section of the museum that had a little model train they could learn about. The only challenge was parking. While parking is available, there were no spots when I was there
Shaun F — Google review
Unique, fun and educational experience for both kids and adults. The museum hosts large variety of trains and engines dating back to the British mandate times. Almost all of them are maintained and accessible. Note that there isn't any nearby parking. You can get there by public transportation, but unfortunately not by a train. Would love to see working train models and not just static ones. Entry prices are very reasonable.
Ohad S — Google review
A nice place to visit, not only for train enthusiasts. Historically presents the development of railways in Israel (Ottoman - British - Israeli), while presenting the various uses that existed in the carriages. Before we entered, two visitors who had just left said that the place was not worth the cost of the ticket (30 NIS per person) and I tend to agree with them. This is not a place where you can wander for a long time, but rather take a look and go. So, a mixed recommendation, not a must during your visit to Haifa.
Rotem Z — Google review
It was an exciting experience. There are so many interesting types of trains; among them are more than one hundred years old steam trains, diesel trains, etc. The visit to the museum left a great impression both on kids and adults as well.

Great Museum with good information about the rail system in the countrry with amazing antique machinery. We had a pleasant time entering all the old vagons. We went on the 130 year anniversary, so it was a special occasion and took us to the entrance in a train, instead of the street, we were actually thinking they would take us on a special train / vagon for the 2 min ride but it was on the normal train, it was still great. Just a big 0 that the elevators Didn't work! For a stroller and a baby its easier but for someone in a wheelchair (impossible).

Hai-Bar Nature Reserve, also known as Hai Bar Carmel, is a 6,000-dunam zoological garden established to rehabilitate and preserve animals in northern Israel. It aims to reintroduce species like the Carmel deer and Persian wildebeest that had become extinct in the region. The reserve is home to rescued deer, Persian donkeys, Cretan wild goats, mouflon sheep, biblical eagles, and white-tailed eagles.
It is a nice place to visit in Carmel mountain. There are not various animals, however the nature out there is stunning. The place has a different elevation walk so consider this in advance.
Elias I — Google review
Beautiful place, breathtaking scenery and very interesting aminals. We saw different deer species, mountain goats, birds of prey and gazelles. The park very well organised, with a lot of shade, cold water for drinking, benches and informational stands for all the animals. Each specie had their information in Hebrew, Arabic and English. There's an area where you can look at and touch various things connected to local animals: ear tags, radio collars, shed horns of goats and deer. Next to it is interactive area that allows you to compare your balance skills to ones of a bird on different surfaces :) If you come here when it's not hot and closer to dusk you can probably see fire salamanders, but we were there on a hot afternoon so they were hiding. Park has a souvenir shop with adorable plush animals, high quality hats and t-shirts, a bit pricey but money goes towards supporting the park's efforts in conservation so I considered it more as a donation. Overall great place to visit, interesting, accessible and welcoming.

Very nice. Not a lot to walk. If arrive early plenty of parking even in the shade. You can see wild goats and sheep, dear and all those types of horned animals. The Cable Car Station in Haifa offers a thrilling ride with stunning aerial views of the city's coastline and urban landscape. As it ascends from Mount Carmel's base to its summit, passengers are treated to breathtaking panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean Sea, Haifa's vibrant neighborhoods, and the iconic Baha Gardens. The lower terminal is conveniently located near popular dining spots like Yotvata Dairy Restaurant. This neighborhood is rich in history and was designed by architect Richard Kaufmann.
It was an amazing ride from the beautiful beach up to the Mount Carmel. Not cheap (one way: NIS 19, round-trip: NIS 28) but very spectacular. At the bottom of the cable cars, across the highway, is a slew of interesting sites including the Clandestine Immigration & Navy Museum. The small cabins are like three oranges. 👍

The moment in between stations is a pure joy. The one we experienced in childhood. Totally worth trying. Upper station gives possibility to observe the marvelous coastal view. Stella Maris church is round the corner, so by trying funicular you have a real short excursion.

The Sculpture Garden in Haifa, also known as Gan Hapsalim, is a serene park setting featuring 29 bronze statues created by artist Ursula Malbin. The sculptures depict everyday life scenes such as children playing, mothers with babies, and pets. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of Haifa Bay and the Galilee landscape while strolling through the garden. The art pieces are placed in unexpected spots throughout the garden, creating an element of surprise for visitors.
Not much to see but if you finished the bahai tour, you might as well just walk a little to see the place. Lots of bench you can rest on and the good thing ia, most are shaded. The park is not too big. Several sculptures scattered all over the place. There is a drinking fountain in the park as well.

I was walking along the road when I suddenly encountered this little garden of wonders! The statues and garden are well kept and offer a great sidetracking experience! The statues themselves repeat themselves in theme, yet, their positioning make them spread enough to make each have it's own little story to tell. The visuals are rather mundane, nothing beyond the commonlike feel to it, but, that's the charm of it. Yet, it is a nice place for a casual hangout, and a wonderful place for first time visitors. There are water fountains and benches for the benefit of those that come around for a stop.

Very nice beach but at the peak hours in Summer, it simply becomes a nightmare. So avoid during in the middays hours in the week ends. Otherwise as I wrote it would be way too crowded, no parking spaces, competition for the same spots and no shade of course, unless you pay for it On the other hand, sunsets are breathtaking. Bottom line, choose carefully your time.

We didn’t feel welcome at all. There’s no menu in english which is weird but ok, it’s Israel. The issue is the waitress was rude and too lazy to tell us about the menu even when we just wanted beer. We asked for a brand we like and she said they didn’t have that one and the one she made us order was the worst beer I’ve ever tried for 32 NIS. Also they didn’t let us go inside saying it was full, but we saw many people were leaving so it didn’t make sense.

I think this is the most beautiful beach in Israel. The water are so clear and with the breaker you can always get into the water. The sand is soft and golden. If you walk to the north, you will find a more rocky part in which kids (and adults) can spend hours looking for sea shells. Plenty of coffee shops around, but not too close, which makes this beach a little bit quieter. Update: June, 2013. Still beautiful... Love it.

The Bahá’í Gardens Haifa, also known as the Bahá’í Holy Place, is a must-see attraction in Haifa. The gardens are renowned for their breathtaking beauty and offer spectacular views of the surroundings. Visitors can easily access the gardens from the Carmelit Bnai Zion Station. The Shrine of the Bab, located within the gardens, is a sacred site for Bahá'í pilgrims and features a magnificent marble structure housing the remains of the Bab.
Beautiful gardens, you can park mostly around here, for free if you can find a space. If you head to the top there is a small area you can go in to view the gardens and there is parking 3 mins to its left. But if you want a free tour, go to their website and reserve a spot at least 1 day in advance. This reservation entrance is 2 mins left of the top. You can park in the middle too, lots of space there, or free admission at the shrine - where you can park to its right, if you can find a space the - which isn't easy

Fantastic spot. Impeccably maintained garden. Shame that the non Bahai people are not allowed past the first level, but even from there the view of the sea and Haifa city is spectacular. One of the more beautiful areas I've visited.

A nice walk around the Baha’i garden. Baha'is believe that God periodically reveals his will through divine messengers, whose purpose is to transform the character of humankind and to develop, within those who respond, moral and spiritual qualities.

Prepare yourself for misogyny and misinformation- while the website says 6cm above the knee, they won’t admit you if your dress is AT your knee and will speak to your husband and not you. Unlike the kotel, they don’t have a plan b for tourists who properly read their dress code prior to arrival. We went back to our hotel to change and saw a woman with bare shoulders down to her breasts with thighs barely covered. Maybe if you’re Jewish you have to cover more than requested on the website? Or Dan F just doesn’t like my knees. In addition they will be cleaning for the next month so there was a small section available to see. Takes about 3 minutes to see. There is a bathroom though if you’re needing. Otherwise it’s a complete waste of time. Edit: it’s Just Dan F. No other male guard is threatened by knees.
Hannah S — Google review
We visited only to find that just the first level was open, which was quite disappointing. Unfortunately, they also close at 17:00. With the current hot weather, it would be more ideal if they had extended hours. However, I've attached a photo that's more scenic than the inside view.
Suman K — Google review
Nice gardens. Be mindful not to chew gum as they will not let you in. Check at every gate they might also want to check your hand luggage if you got any (backpack or purse). The actual sanctuary is closed after 17:00 and the gardens after 17:30

Absolutely one of the most beautiful places I have ever experienced. The upper viewing area is breathtaking and the lower garden area is open for a peaceful stroll or a time of prayer and meditation. My first experience with this theatre, but my fourth (4) with "Bustan Sefardi" Building is lovely with large lobby with small refreshments kiosk. Many winding steps UP to auditorium entry. Dim lights make identify rows difficult, meanwhile 1 spotlight is shining in our eyes. Show, by national theatre HaBima very good but, IMHO, over amplification. Cast is superb, especially Victoria!! Not near public transportation, limited parking. Hilly area near lovely park but not easily accessible by limited mobility patrons.

We didnt see the lift as its close to entrance and people blocked view but other than walking up stairs it was comfy.
INDYK M — Google review
Visited the theatre to see a Habima play, so can't comment on the Haifa Theatre troupe. As far as the infrastructure is concerned, the stage is sufficiently big, the auditorium sufficiently large, visibility and acoustics are good. Air conditioning is adequate. Interior reflects historic design. However, there is no parking near the theatre. The theatre's own parking is expensive, awkwardly constructed, too small for the number of cars arriving, and the line to get out after the show is very long. In addition, there was a very long line to get to either the lift or the stairs that lead to the parking. The stairs are filthy and unkempt. The paving outside the theatre is such that stiletto heels get stuck between paving stones. There are no cafés or similar next to the theatre, it is located in an unpleasant neighborhood. Thus it isn't possible to combine the theatre with a dinner for a complete evening experience.

For western tourists: Please mind that men and women cannot access this beach on the same weekdays. You have to carefully consider the schedule (men: Mo/We/Fr; women: Su/Tu/Th; 8-18h each). After entering via a short security control, you arrive at his rather narrow beach, which is ok and mostly clean, but certainly not beautiful. Behind it, there is a huge military base with a barbed wire fence, walls and many warning signs. To me, this was a more depressing than relaxing beach experience. There is quite a bit jellyfish, but they're not harmful. Three stars.

The Technion Olympic Pool is considered one of the best complexes in northern Israel. It features an Olympic-sized swimming pool, two smaller outdoor pools, and a shallow pool for kids. Additionally, visitors can enjoy amenities such as steam saunas, dry saunas, jacuzzis, and ping pong tables. The facility also offers separate training times for men and women.
Probably the best complex in the north of Israel, entry is 75₪, it includes one Olympic swimming pool (50m)which is heated to a comfortable temperature, 2 smaller outdoor pools half the size and one pool for kids and babies (very shallow). There is also a steam sauna and a dry sauna with a powerwash you can take afterwards, there are ping pong tables, there is a outdoor grass area with lots of chairs and tan beds to sit on and there is a cafeteria with decent food. Of course there are high quality locker rooms with showers and hangars. Oh and there's a shop with good sales on swimming gear. In regards to swimming, the Olympic swimming pool has 2 slow swimming lanes, one elderly lane, and 4-5 fast swimming lanes (although they tend to be pretty slow too), the outdoor pools also have 2 lanes each. Finally there is a massage parlor with decent prices. Be aware that there may be hours during the week dedicated to a specific gender in which you may not be able to enter so check beforehand. Definitely worth a visit.

Best pool facilities, at least at the north of Israel. Great children pool and outdoor pool , good sauna and hamam. Excellent shade from trees outside makes it possible to be outside even in summer. Crowded at weekend, but mostly Technion employees which make it much quieter and cultured. The price is extremely high for pool and the cafeteria could be better.

Excellent and clean swimming pool Both dry and wet sauna is available to choose from. This place also has a jacuzzi and place to dine in. There is also both indoor as well as outdoor swimming pool with recliners. Very neat, tidy and well maintained.
Robin S — Google review
Nice facilities. 75 shekel entrance fee if you're not student at the university. From the point of view of a competitive swimmer, it's a little tricky because there are usually between 2-4 people per lane, and the swimmers are usually seniors, but the lanes are big and it's easy to weave with good timing and a bit of patience.
Alek — Google review
Huge and full of facilities. A bit crowded on weekends, but during weeks it's perfect for students to work out and relax.
Lucas C — Google review
One of the best facilities the Technion has. Includes a jacuzzi and two saunas, and the Olympic size of the pool (50m long) makes it very good for training. There are fast lanes, slow lanes and lanes for classes (highly recommend for students, offered in all levels). There are also special men/women times for those who prefer separate training. Grass is great for spring/summer sunbathing. Dress rooms and baths are fine, renovated from time to time. There's a small shop for swimming equipment, but check it's specific opening times.

Bahai Gardens and Shrine It is generally referred to as The Baha'i Temple, or Baha'i Gardens. From one of the information boards which I read and photographed I think it should really be called "The Shrine of the Bab Terraces and Gardens". But, The Baha'i Temple, or Baha'i Gardens is much more convenient. We entered from the gate at Hatzionut Avenue. Ours was the first group of that day as they were still in the process of cleaning and setting up the paraphernalia, tables, digital counter, sun umbrella etc. I took the opportunity to photograph couple of information boards. However it did not take too long and we entered . The way the pathway was lined on both sides by hedges which were cut and maintained with geometrical, and mathematical precision, the evenly grown mature trees gave us a foretaste of the wonder and beauty that awaited us. First we were led to Shrine of the Bab. It is domed building of simple design with clean lines. Very calm and serene inside. There after went around the garden area of that terrace. A central focal point with various designs like concentric circles, eight pointed star. From some such points walk oaths radiated out ward ,. Some had to be gone around. Such focal points seemed to be evenly spaced throughout the terrace. There are beautiful statues if peacocks. Boundary pillars of this terrace had statues of ferocious looking eagles, some with spread wings and some with folded. Huge beautiful ornamental plant holders mounted on pedastle were placed all along the passages. Very beautuflul. We were pressed for time so did not see all of the garden and 18 terraces. This was one of the best planned and maintained garden in the world ! May be YES. We were pressed for time so did not see all of the garden and 18 terraces.

the ticket office is located outside the main building, meaning you have to stand in scorching sun, as you wait your turn. the digital ticket machine, inside the building is out of order. once you enter the building, though, it's a nice experience.
Alex R — Google review
A great place to see quality cinema surrounded by quality people. Set in a quiet shaded area on top of the Carmel, the atmosphere puts you in the right state of mind to enjoy an evening of though provoking cinema. Most of the people there are members that have their assigned seats. Call ahead to reserve the best remaining ones. There is a nice small coffee bar in the entrance hall. All in all. A great experience.
Dror G — Google review
A home for all the films that you will have a hard time to find in the big cinema theaters but in the end of the day it not a movie theater so not the besr movie expirens
Ori K — Google review
Great place for quality cinema and various lectures. In Sukkot it also hosts the Haifa Film Festival. The entire area was renovated recently and looks festive and very contemporary.
Ilana Y — Google review
Great place to view screenings of old/vintage movies. Only one screening hall (and small), but a great place for youngdters to meet and catchup with good movies. A small, but sufficient coffe bar next door. A gigantic screening hall nextdoor, used for special screenings.
Eyal P — Google review
Very important institute in the culture of Haifa – first and foremost because of the Film Festival in which it has a crucial role. But also otherwise – on top of bringing non-Hollywood and Hollywood classics, European cinema, art-films etc. it also hosts lectures and is a meeting point for indie culture.

Sports complex
The Technion Sports Center is open throughout the academic year, with varying hours in the summer. The gym area may be somewhat small and lacking in certain machines, leading to crowding at times. However, it is considered sufficient for students given the subscription fee. The pool area is well-maintained and clean. While the facilities are generally nice, they can get crowded during peak times. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Amazing places for gym, swimming pools, and sport areas!
Frank Y — Google review
I went to try out the gym and got yelled at by the crazy worker there. Garbage place don't recommend. Although in retrospect its a good thing they show their real face right away so nobody accidently pays for a subscription without knowing any better. Also didn't see any shower or shoulder work out place either. Maybe when this place is gonna be free I might take another look.
ישראל — Google review
Overall very good place. The pools are very kept and clean, the upper level of gym part is awesome however the lower floor (machines) is lacking - it simply can't accommodate so many students in that small space. You should come early in the morning to avoid the masses
Roman T — Google review
The gym area isn't that sizable, lacks certain machines, extremely crowded areas nights, moderately at daytime. that being said, it's definitely enough for a student; and considering the subscription fee, it's a steal. there's also a pool area that I have yet to make use of, overall very good even though the gym can use some upgrades.
Nib K — Google review
Very nice facilities, Gym and the pool can be incredibly crowded at certain times during the day. I would avoid going at these times if you don't like bumping elbows with people, or waiting on average 5 minutes for your turn with gym equipment. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Yehoshua S — Google review
As far as gyms go, it looks nice. Squat racks and free weights are great. The problem starts with rush hour through the night and the kind of people that occupy the machines and large free weight area. It gives this gym a pretty bad feel. Serious gym people don't have much of an option other than arriving at inconvenient hours and hoping the cages and one proper weightlifting platform is free. Still, relative to other global gym options in Haifa, it's a good gym.
Golan M — Google review
If you are worried about finding a free treadmill, let me ease your mind. There are a lot of them to go around The facilities are ok at best but it's ALWAYS crowded...
Sean S — Google review
Incredible all around! Great facility, has almost everything you would expect from a gym, cycling room, squash courts, olympic pools. As a Technion student they come very handy.

The Upper Cable Car in Haifa has quickly established itself as a must-visit attraction since its recent opening. This charming ride transports visitors from the bustling Gulf center to the heights of Mount Carmel, with stops at Technion University along the way. While it may be a bit on the pricier side, the experience is well worth it for families and adventurers alike.
Great views from the top in multiple directions. Kids (and kids at heart!) loved the ride in the cable car.
Miriam H — Google review
Nice cable car service from the Carmel to the beach ,with a view on Haifa's port cost only 35nis for two ways and 25nis for 1 way ride.
Edgar A — Google review
Short cable car ride even though it's quite pricey. Lovely views of the seafront and leads straight to bat galim beach where you can also cross to The Cave of Elijah
Esty L — Google review
Awesome views of Haifa and quickest way up to the Carmel Monastry, you can walk back down to take in carmelite centre for shopping and the funicular railway down to Haifa centre, great experience and a must on your Israel visit.
Paul E — Google review
It is what It is. It is a slightly old short kind of expensive experience. The cars are wonderful, if old. It takes you up to the top of the very steep hill very quickly. It is great for kids of all ages. When i was there they were hauling a school outing. They have 3 restaurants, all kind of expensive, but worth the money.
Steven D — Google review
Took this ride from the monestary down to the beach to wander around for a bit on a Saturday. Has some great views up and down the coast line and of the bay and beach.

The Viewing Balcony, perched about 100 meters up the hill from the entrance of the Baha Gardens, offers an unparalleled vantage point over the stunning Shrine of the Bab. This beautifully maintained platform provides breathtaking views not only of the meticulously landscaped gardens but also stretches out to encompass Haifa's picturesque coastline. While access to this viewing area is free and less restrictive than other parts of the gardens, visitors should remember that modest attire is required for those areas.
Beautiful. Truly a wonder of human accomplishment. You should read the story of The Bab before you visit.
Daniel L — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous gardens that are very well maintained. Entrance is free, but keep in mind that it is a religious site and you need to be covered up to your knees and shoulders to enter other parts of the gardens (the viewing balcony is not as restricted) . The viewing deck is the top most of the gardens and you have a gorgeous view of the gardens and the sea. My photos don't do it any justice.
Kimberly K — Google review
Great view but no entrance from here. Entrance with a guide about 100 meters.

Nestled along Nahum Dubrin Street, The Turkish Market has evolved into a vibrant open market that captures the essence of local culture. This bustling hub features an array of fast food stalls and restaurants, including favorites like The Original Restaurant and Jackos Fish Place, where you can indulge in delicious felafel, shawarma, and bourekas. Beyond the culinary delights, visitors will find legal offices, clothing shops, grocery stores, and travel agencies scattered throughout the area.

Maccabi Sport Club offers a delightful indoor swimming experience that caters to both leisure and fitness enthusiasts. The facility features a cozy 25-meter pool, perfect for those looking to unwind or engage in some serious training. While the main pool is primarily designated for sports activities, there’s also a smaller heated pool ideal for children, ensuring family-friendly fun. In addition to the pools, Maccabi Sport Club boasts excellent amenities including a sauna and jacuzzi where you can relax after your swim.
great gym, experienced trainers, excellent saunas. The pool is wide and not crowded
Sergio — Google review
Very nice indoor swimming , closes daily at 17:00 . 4 stars because it is small swimming pool that you can chill in and talk. The big one is for sports and not allowed to stay there if you dont want to do sport . So it ends up you sitting with lots of people in a swimming pool and you cant chill .
Lawrence D — Google review
Great wet and dry sauna cabins, not so crowded like other sports clubs in Haifa. Clean. One time entry is 80 nis.
Nadezhda A — Google review
I love swimming here, it's a great pool with great facilities. The pool is warmed and there is also a hot tub, sauna and hot water pull. There is also a small gym and a kiosk. At the summer, there are a lot of places to sit outside, on the grass and there is also a shallow water pull for the kids
Nitzan B — Google review
Not bad at all. Lil bit expensive, a lot of kids in the swimming pool. But overall it’s a nice and clean place
Enas S — Google review
Very nice 25m indoor pool. There is a sauna and a jacuzzi in the other part, together with kids heated pool. The main pool is suitable for leasure and training. Outside the pool there is a grass sitting place with toddler pool

it's divided between the pool and the gym which is also a few kind of activities . you can easily spend the whole day with the kids or family while those that use the gym can also spend recomforting minutes in the sauna or jacuzi . whichever way you go you enjoy yourself .
