Plaza Independencia is a beautiful and lively place to spend some time in Mendoza. The park is filled with huge, mature trees that offer plenty of shade, and the sound of the water fountains adds a really peaceful vibe. In the center, there’s an underground museum that’s worth checking out. It feels totally safe, with families, couples, and friends relaxing on benches or shopping at the pop-up vendor booths. A great spot to take a walk, sit with a coffee, or just enjoy the energy of the city.

This is exactly what a park should be. A place for everyone to hang out, escape the chaos of daily life and relax with your friends or loved ones. I visited the park during the Christmas time and it was decorated accordingly with a market on Tuesday and a beautiful Christmas tree. The sunset in the park was beautiful and we were lucky to catch a glimpse of a fountain show accompanied by Disney music. The Avengers theme is to this day goosebump inducing. Walking through the park was the first time during my stay here that it actually felt like Christmas. A lovely place and I truly recommend hanging out here!

This is Mendoza's biggest park and has a pretty fountain. It is a very interesting place where you can see performances and artistic activities everywhere on weekends. There are a lot of people, but it's not unpleasant. I was fascinated by the lively atmosphere there. The streets are not dirty, music is flowing, and small temporary stores sell various cute ornaments, bowls, and souvenirs, so I think it would be interesting to watch even if I didn't buy them. While in Mendoza, I visited this place every evening to take a walk or sit down and listen to music. It was a very nice place.

Good plaza\park with artist selling, the water fountain has a show and is the center of Mendoza city but you have to be careful there is a lot of people stealing or doing drugs

An absolutely amazing green space in the centre of Mendoza. The park is absolutely huge, you could spend hours here. The lake in the centre is a lovely place for a leisurely stroll. There are also several market stalls and food trucks dotted throughout the park. A wonderful place to spend a sunny afternoon.

Great historical place!

This was the place of the original City hall, then a slaughter house, a market and now finally a museum. You can see the old foundation for the original building. It has some pre-colombian artifacts. It is all in spanish but you can understand most of whats going on. Regular price is $30, students pay $14

Probably the prettiest square among the 5 plazas in downtown area. The design and architecture elements are consistent to provide a uniform atmosphere. Seems to be enjoyed by locals and tourists alike daily. good for relaxing and people watching.

One of the four parks/squares situated around Mendoza's main square. All four are different in terms of architecture, structure, materials and general look and feel. A walk between the 4 parks is well worth it.

This is a great Mercado. It’s clean, orderly and safe. It’s more of a fine foods market than farmers market. A great place to great charcuterie and cheese, fresh meat and chicken, dried goods, sweets and wine. There are a couple of tasty places to eat lunch or dinner.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and were treated to some delicious homemade food! We ordered the canelones stuffed with spinach and ricotta, topped with homemade tomato sauce and plenty of cheese. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and reminded me of something my nonna used to make in her kitchen. The portion was generous, and the bread on the side was soft and perfect for dipping in the sauce. A simple, classic dish done really well!

Small market but has plenty of produce and of good quality to choose from. Ideal if you’re looking for charcuterie items or you want condiments such as olives, pickles, fruit/ veg etc. There are coffee shops and snack food bars also if you’re looking for something to eat.

A unique and fun experience with many great selections of various foods. Some, very well priced, others were okay value.

It's an old building, and should be a refurbished market. People can buy meat, seafood, fruit, veggies and so on here. There are eateries and restaurants inside, with many local customers.

My sister and I booked a bicycle ride and wine tasting tour with Sergio for our birthdays during our trip to Mendoza and we absolutely loved it! The hour long bike ride was a lovely (& challenging) way to see the gorgeous vineyard views! The wine tasting & lunch to follow were outstanding.. seeing two different winery’s felt like a great value for trying a variety of authentic Argentinian wines. Sergio was such a wonderful host; felt like just hanging with a knowledgeable friend! I feel that the price was fair based on the experience & length of time dedicated to the ride & visits to the winery’s. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering booking a wine tasting/bicycle tour while exploring Mendoza!

Must-do in Mendoza! I just did an amazing bike and wine tour with friends and Sergio. Scenic bike ride, complete vineyard tour, wine tasting, and a 4-course lunch at a vineyard, with a bonus visit to Chandon! Unbeatable scenery, wine, and food! This was one of the best tours I experienced in Mendoza. Sergio is punctual, attentive, and carefully selects exceptional boutique wineries. Thanks to his thoughtful planning, the entire biking tour through the vineyards was seamless, fun, and enjoyable. The wineries he chose offered unique selections with excellent wines available for purchase. To top it off, the six-course wine pairing dinner was outstanding. Our bike tour with Sergio was fantastic! The service was prompt and the bike ride was super fun and very accessible for all levels of rider. We went to two wineries, having a wonderful and informative tour at the first followed by a delicious three course lunch (with wine pairing!) at the second. Excellent wine cycle tour in Mendoza! Got to learn about how wine is made and try a few wines at the first Bodega before a cycle ride around the local area. Then a short journey to bodega number two, where we had an incredible lunch with wine pairings in a lovely setting. Sergio is a great friendly guide and would recommend this tour!

What fun! The rafting centre is very well run, safe, and in an amazing location. Ricky our bilingual captain was brilliant. They slow-cook meat on the barbecue while you are rafting so you can enjoy a lovely meal on your return. We had a wonderful experience. I'd highly recommend it.

Had a wonderful experience kayaking and trekking with our guide Walter. The booking was very smoothly handled, we were the day before to their office and they sent us a confirmation email on the spot. Once we arrived there are many facilities available for you to change, shower, store your personal belongings, etc. while you go for your activities. Walter our guide went above and beyond for us. We felt very safe during the kayaking and trekking experience, always offering us water and snacks, and offering to carry any of our things in his backpack. We had a lot of fun and highly recommended!

10/10 experience - the transfer from our hotel was easy and very reasonable, the rafting was AMAZING and followed by the canopy zip lining which was so so so good (including going upside down over the river)! Big thanks to all of the staff, who were all in incredible, especially our leaders Lucas, Julian and Matías:)) highly recommend

We had an amazing adventure with Argentina Rafting and strongly recommend them! From super-responsive WhatsApp contact before we arrived in Mendoza, a really friendly and helpful visit to their offices in town and then delivery of a really brilliant experience white water rafting and zip-lining there is nothing to fault. We came with our two children (ages 11 and 9) and they made us feel completely safe at all parts of the tour. Ricky on the rafting was superb, with excellent English and a great sense of humour! Our zipline guides, among them Bruno, were also fantastic and went with the kids on the longer zip lines where they wouldn't have been heavy enough to get all the way across on their own! The photographer was excellent and the photo packages we bought after each activity were great quality and well priced (ARS 12,000 for one activity or ARS 20,000 for both - we must have around 70 digital images!). There was a decent restaurant where we had a nice lunch, again for a reasonable price. Thanks so much to the whole Argentina Rafting team for giving us such a wonderful day to remember!

We did 1 day of white water rafting & canopy, and another day of calbagata, horse riding through the Andes Mountains. Both days were very organized, with guides directing us where to go and what to do as soon as we arrived - they spoke English too. None of us have done any of the activities before and they were perfect for beginners! Wetsuit, jacket, helmet, and all equipment were provided for rafting, and the experienced guides gave clear instructions for canopy and calbagata as well. Crazy beautiful views and made new friends. Photos available for purchase afterward. Super fun days and highly recommend!

A lovely hill in the biggest city park in Mendoza. Definitely a place you should go and visit to enjoy some spectacular views of the Andes Mountains and the city surroundings. On a beautiful summer day the skies are clearblue and make for a very beautiful scenery. The hike up can be difficult so be mindful of the heat! There is a restaurant on top with great food and drinks so don't worry about packing a bunch of stuff. It's a very nice walk to immerse yourself a little bit in nature and get some peace away from the city.

Plaza San Martin is located in the banking area. A busy square. On the very rare occasion that it was open, although not obvious as the front gate was hardly pushed open, a lady informed me that the entry was 3,000 (THOUSAND) pesos. The explanation was that it is a private museum. I have visited more than 30 museums throughout Argentina and never seen this price. Thanks but no thanks.

The building that houses the museum was the most interesting part. The architecture, inside and out, was beautiful. The actual art collection is quite small and is contained in 3 rooms. We were in and out in about 20 minutes. Admission was free. Washrooms were available but were not stocked with supplies.

Carlos Alonso Museum – Stoppel House is a lovely spot to stop by if you're in the area. While the museum is small, it's beautifully maintained and offers a unique glimpse into local art and history. Best of all, admission is free, which makes it an easy and worthwhile visit if you're exploring Mendoza. A peaceful and cultural break in the middle of the city.

Plaza Chile is a tribute to the neighbouring country for the help given to the inhabitants of Mendoza during the 1861 earthquake. It has a fountain of dancing water and on one side the sculpture that symbolizes the friendship between Argentina and Chile which can be seen represented by two heroes - San Martín and O'Higgins - shaking their hands on the back. Between their benches there are eucalyptus, blossomed rosebuds and autochthonous trees. Quieter than the other squares.
