The Museum of Sergipe is a great place to learn about the local culture and history. The museum has interactive displays that illustrate different aspects of culture, such as food, history, and environment. There are also student helpers available to answer any questions you may have. The restaurant here is very good and the food is definitely worth trying!
Cool, free museum. Lots of interactive exhibits perfect for children. There are a few exhibits on the history of Sergipe as well, with English translations. Free bathrooms and drinking water.

Fantastic museum. One of the best in Brazil. They have mídia interacting to show a lot of cultural information separated by topics such as typical food, history, environment, local vocabulary, and so on. There are students aiding in every room explaining the purpose of the room and how to interact.
Celso O — Google review
A must to do in Aracaju. The museum is for free and there is option of tour in English and Spanish (need to make a reservation on the website). All the staff are so friendly and lovely and are there to help you out. Don't forget to cross the street and visit the statues of folklores from there. The museum is for all the ages and is super interactive.
Nadja M — Google review
The place need to give a ticket in free events. Realy bad organization. So much persons , and no place for all then. Need a big space for all those events or limited the number

Such a great surprise! Super nice museum with the staff always explaining you the history behind each room and giving interesting explanations and curiosities. Really interesting! 5 ⭐️
Ana T — Google review
At first sight, you'll see a pleasant building from the early 20th century. you can come into it because it's totally free to visit the place and, before you pass through control blocks, you won't be able to ignore a really tall statue from a Monalisa-like smiling lady. Her name is Maria Feliciana, and she was the tallest woman in the world for a long, long time. Inside, this museum displays plenty of multi-colored objects, folkloric dresses and loads of ribbons when you look up. One very simple and interesting moment in the visiting is when you get in a boat to "sail" through the different biomes, who one of smaller State os Brazil has in its inside. The last but not least this museum is a good way to understand how Brazilian culture was made by the content of three different peoples (Portuguese, Africans and indians) that throughout the times created something totally different in matter of culture and behavior. The place is very much well conserved. There are some rooms with air-conditioned to keeping the temperature, in another the kind of construction building provides a pleasant temperature. Toilets are cleaned and I liked internship comments. So, if you are at the capital of Sergipe State, this place is a must go to visit.

It was a good experience. I had learned things that I didn't know about the culture and people. The restaurant is very nice and food delicious

Free to visit and free parking. Very nice structure, staff and content. There is also a very nice and tidy café/restaurant in the building that has a wide variety of delicious food, alongside natural juices, desserts and unique popsicles, sold at the entrance.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful Cathedral... I found it interesting because the Blessed Sacrament was exposed and the priest was hearing confessions... nowadays it's increasingly difficult to have BOTH. Congratulations to the Parish Priest and everyone involved for providing this welcoming atmosphere of Love and Faith in our Holy Church! (Original) Catedral Linda ... Palace Museum Olímpio Campos is located in the heart of Sergipe's capital, surrounded by historic buildings and vibrant streets. The museum offers a glimpse into the political history of Sergipe through its comprehensive collection and guided tours. Visitors can explore preserved furniture and immerse themselves in another era while learning about the significance of each item, piece, and painting. The museum's building has a rich history as it served as the headquarters of the government palace and official residence for over 120 years.
Today, we had a pleasure to be guided by Gabriel inside the Governors Palace. Beautiful place with a lot of history about the city and the region, Gabriel was such a great guide. Thank you for making our visit so pleasent.

Very bad experience. Apparently you can't access anything except the entryway without a guide. But then the guides don't want to go. The facade is pretty though.
Josiah W — Google review
A good place to learn a little bit more from the Aracaju history. The museum is for free and don't need to make reservations. There is staff to walk you through the museum explaining and asking questions. All the staff are super friendly.
Nadja M — Google review
A beautiful building but the exhibition is about the policians and not the people they served. I would have liked to see more about the way they helped people in practical ways and not grand projects. It was free. I wouldn't have minded paying something but they have to change the purpose of the exhibition.

Live music bar
This popular restaurant in Aracaju is renowned for its delicious traditional northeastern cuisine accompanied by a lively live band. The restaurant is decorated with elements of the Northeast Brazilian countryside and the menu is packed withoptions for both diners who want to eat in or take away. Every night there's a new band playing at the Sal e Brasa!
The waiters are very friendly and the food delicious. Decor is beautiful and traditional.

TIAGO T — Google review
Amazing service, food, and ambiance. The live forró bands were fantastic! Highly recommended!
James C — Google review
Disappointed after seeing the hype for this place on Trip Advisor. There are far better restaurants in town. The staff on the street who are supposed to welcome you in would hardly look me in the eye, and as a foreigner I would really value that form of communication. The food was of a reasonable standard but not exceptional. The service was fairly lousy. Brought the wrong beer which wasn't due to language barrier as I pointed very clearly. No real apology and instead they reluctantly replaced it slowly. The music was of a local flavour with a constant chnage of musicians which was a nice touch, although it was marred by the repeated failure of the sound system, an issue which nobody seemed too concerned about. Also, bear in mind that a lot of menus here are geared towards people sharing. I had to work that out for myself after receiving an embarrasingly large meal on more than one occasion!
Kevin L — Google review
People talk a lot about this place but it’s really not all that. The food: some dishes are good, but they have only meaty dishes with no option for vegetarians or vegans. I went there to eat Isca De Peixe and it was not good enough. They were soggy not crispy. It’s a place you go once and tick it off your list to never go again. Ambitious prices for mediocre food.

Heading north, Praia dos Artistas presents well-equipped beach stands with diverse menus featuring appetizers and complete meals. Known for its surfing, this popular destination is renowned not for its attractiveness, amenities or position, but rather for being one of the most hazardous beaches in the nation.
Great place to visit. This parte of the beach is surrounded by big rocks, used to contain the advance of the water. These rocks create a secluded space, as you can see in one of my photos. This specific area I do not recommend get into the water, because the ‘flow’ is very intense. But to relax on the sand and take good photos, is a great place to stay. Unfortunately, I witnessed a guy with his dog, letting the ‘remains’ of the dog on the ground, one meter away of the sign saying “Keep the beach clean”, yeah :/

(Translated by Google) It's a simple place with few facilities. But it's undoubtedly wonderful. Great for those with children; despite the limited facilities, it's excellent for them to swim and play in the "little pools" that form as the tide goes out. (Original) Lugar simples pouca estrutura.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful place with a unique experience; the rising tide is incredible. There's a catamaran on the island, and if you want to eat, it's up to them. The food is fried, so I suggest bringing snacks or fruit for those who want to stay longer. The tour of the other islands is well worth it.

(Translated by Google) Don't miss this tour!!! It's BEAUTIFUL! A unique experience. Check with the locals to find out the tide levels and plan to go early. There's a floating restaurant that's open until 3 PM, as the tide rises at 4 PM. While the tide rises, you can stay on the island, which is really cool. Access is via the sunset promenade. Look for the Marina, which is closer to the end of the promenade. It costs 65 per person, round trip.

(Translated by Google) We chose to drive there and only pay for the speedboat transfer. It cost $40 per person. The speedboat leaves every hour, and when we want to return, we just call them and they'll pick us up. There's very good cell phone and internet signal there, it's beautiful, with some small fish and several small crabs. At low tide, you can get into the nearby mangroves. There's food and drinks on the catamaran. We thought the crab was overpriced ($33 each), but otherwise everything was very good.

(Translated by Google) I went at low tide, so the coast had a few good walking distances, and the "parasol" area had soft sand and a few gorés strolling among the crowd. A little further away, you can find veritable condominiums of these little creatures and even small crabs the size of a closed fist. In my case, I visited on the catamaran tour that left in the morning from the Por do Sol shore.

It pains me to give this review, because the food is actually quite nice as are their drinks buuuut When we sat down, we asked what they were missing tonight. We ordered something they didn’t mention. Turns out, they also don’t have that. We ordered two dishes, and a side salad. One came in about 20 min, no problem. The other dish we had to ask about twice. After 50 minutes they came back and said that actually they were out of lettuce… how did it take them 50 minutes to figure out they don’t have lettuce for a side salad? The missing dish then finally came after 1:05 minutes (it was a starter with fries) We also asked for ketchup 3x and ice 2x in the span of 30 min which then finally came. And no, the place wasn’t super busy, it was early dinner time.

Unfortunately this place has been left to deteriorate a lot with little maintenance. A lot of the attractions that were there are now gone. Swings, roundabout, climbing frame, seesaws have been removed, only leaving slides and a very neglected ride with cars on that now longer turns, with the cars falling apart. The place has potential to be great but local government have removed a lot of leisure facilities from this area for the kids and lots of other places across the town in general. There is no payment to enter the area but some of the things there now are charged for like trampolines and the electric cars, these are about all that remain along with the concrete slides that survived when the rest of the facilities were ripped out.
