1French Quarter RV Resort

RV park
Nestled just a stone's throw from the vibrant French Quarter, the French Quarter RV Resort is an ideal haven for travelers seeking both comfort and convenience. This luxurious resort features 52 paved sites equipped with full hookups, making it perfect for RV enthusiasts of all kinds, including those traveling with pets or larger rigs. After indulging in delicious New Orleans cuisine or exploring local shops at the nearby French Market, guests can unwind by taking a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool or soaking in the hot tub.
This is the closest RV resort to the French Quarter. This place is outstanding! They allowed us to check in a little early, 30 minutes, because our site was open. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The showers and bathroom near the pool were excellent if you dont want to use your RV. The hot tub was excellent. Walking to the French Quarter (about a mile) was easy, which we did during daylight. We felt safer using a rideshare after dark to return to the park. Which was less than $10, without tip, for two people. If we travel with our camper in the area in the future we will certainly stay here again.

We chose this RV park over others after speaking to a couple that had stayed here a couple of weeks ago. They said the biggest attraction was that it was with in walking distance of the French Quarter. And it is. The pros: staff are very friendly, close to the French Quarter, very clean grounds, nice pool and hot tub, and on-site laundry facilities. The cons: expensive, noisy with the freeway right behind the RV Park, front gate is broken so overnight security is provided by a person in the entry booth, trash dumpster is located outside of the gate. Yes, despite all of this we would stay here again simply because it's so close to all the action!
Dymm W — Google review
We (couple, no kids or pets) have been rv-ing for less than a year in our used Airstream, so we’re still learning a lot about how we prefer to travel/camp. We really debated between booking this French Quarter RV for the proximity to New Orleans or the KOA with a 20+minute Uber ride. And we’re so glad we prioritized being able to walk to downtown and stayed at the French Market RV!! This was our first time in an urban campground. We saved a lot of money on parking and/or Uber rides and it was just more enjoyable being able to go into town during the morning and come back to relax during the hottest time of day, cool off at the pool, and go back in the evening. We’re on a 22 night trip and almost always prioritized bookings for nature and kayaking, but we came to New Orleans for the city. Walking to downtown took us less than 10 minutes from the campground. Security was excellent (gates, door codes, security workers). We felt completely safe. All the staff were kind, helpful, and polite. Every morning they had a crew working on cleaning and maintaining the grounds—the campground is well cared for. There’s a huge billboard pole in the campground which is different, cool, and made for fun photos of our Airstream. The campground doesn’t have a lot of shade and is a level parking lot with street lamps, grass between sites, no picnic tables (but it was so hot, we stayed inside our rv while on site), some of the more expensive sites had nice outdoor lounge furniture and screened in awnings and one even had a covered outdoor tv with a bar. The restrooms that make a compound around the pool were very clean and individual rooms vs stalls, were deep cleaned every morning, had luxurious plush toilet paper (!! so nice after rv toilet paper). There’s a nice small pool, seating in shade or not and even a hot tub!! A bar area around the pool area. Free coffee in the clubhouse from 8-noon! The campground wasn’t crowded when we were there in late July and was very quiet. Our AC is also loud (which we love) so we don’t ever hear anything outside. One suggestion, it would be nice to have full size mirrors in the bathrooms. Our camper doesn’t have one and it’d be nice to see how much weight I gained from all the delicious food we had easy access to! Oh, there’s also a small gym and vending machines with prices lower than Walmart. If we ever come back to New Orleans, we won’t have to think about where to stay… obviously we would stay here.

Very safe and clean RV park with large sites and gazebo or seating structure at several sites. Convenient laundry, showers, and pool and also a large air conditioned room with coffee, microwave, games, and large TV. Walking distance to French Quarter and only a block away from Cemetary No 1 - we did a great tour there and it was so close. Staff and security guards were very nice and helpful. Only thing to note is if you have a truck camper with trailer the hose for water may not reach the connection - you have to back into the sites and the connection is at the back of the site.
Cassie F — Google review
This place was absolutely wonderful. Clean bathrooms, great pool and hot tub. We felt completely safe there and had no issues getting in from the interstate with our camper. They have nice swings at the site to sit out and enjoy the weather. The staff was so great and friendly. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be coming back.
Yvonne D — Google review
Property was spotless clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Location was excelent but had a LOT of construction of all kinds. Would have given an extra star, but am still in sticker shock over the price to park one night. $125.00 plus tax. Also they have several pages of "rules" which could cost you extra. Please study their cancelation policies before booking, they could ruin your trip.
Edith M — Google review
Eh. The pool, bathrooms and facility are nice. They even have an ice machine, which is awesome. It’s very close proximity to the French Quarter/Bourbon Street - we went several times and rode the trolley, which was fun. The front desk staff is rude and everyone that works here unfriendly. Also, it’s expensive for an RV Resort - I know it’s because of the location, but it’s by far the most expensive place we’ve ever stayed. Also, the lights didn’t work in our gazebo.
Kyrsten J — Google review
A gem in the French Quarter! Well maintained. Very secure feeling. Close to everything. Walking distance to attractions. And noise from overhead interstate was not overwhelming. City camping is different from rural camping. But well worth the differences!!

Nestled just five miles from the vibrant heart of New Orleans, Jude Travel Park offers a delightful retreat for travelers seeking both comfort and convenience. This charming RV park features 41 spacious gravel sites, each equipped with full hook-ups, making it an ideal spot for both RV enthusiasts and tent campers alike. Guests can enjoy refreshing dips in the saltwater pool or unwind in heated showers after a day of exploring the city.
I spent two months at Jude Travel Park in New Orleans and found it to be a solid and dependable choice for an extended stay. The park was well-kept, and the amenities—like the pool, hot tub, and laundry facilities—were consistently maintained, which made my stay much easier. The location worked well for me, providing a quiet, peaceful environment while still being close enough to easily explore New Orleans. I didn't have to deal with city noise, but I was never far from everything the city has to offer. The staff were polite and professional, and I had no issues during my stay. They kept things running smoothly, and I felt well taken care of. For anyone looking for a reliable place to stay in the area, I’d say this is a good choice.

Marla, the owner, she is the most hospital person I have ever met. She's very caring. It was cold out this morning, and I had to go take a shower and I was expecting the bathroom to be cold, but to my delightfulness, it was very warm. I was very impressed. The park is extremely clean. I very highly recommend staying here at her park.

Thank you, Jude Travel Park Owners, for allowing us to reside on your property for almost a year. Accidentally, when out of State, left the side door wide open for 3 days; Thank God and its hostess for always looking out for their tenants. Very friendly environment, always greeted with a smile. The owner allowes to receive deliveries from any shipment carrier, keeping them safe on her office. Very kind-hearted, honest, and respectful people who in addition keep the gates shut to care no one trespasses, allowing its tenants to feel secured. Thank You Once Again Jude Travel Park of New Orleans & Blessings!

This was a clean and easily accessible place to stay while we visited New Orleans. Yes you are beside a train yard but it's pretty quiet, yes your on a highway but your in a gated place. Marla keeps the place looking real nice and the pool and hot tub sure feel good at the end of day. She also has plenty of information about "NOLA" and some tasty places to go eat. Loved the cats🐈🐈‍⬛ we'll be sure to check you out again if we come back your way.✌️

Pros: Hosts are very sweet and helpful Only 10-15 minutes to the French Quarter Nice laundry facilities The pool and hot tub are nice Cons: Location is SCARY. Semi automatic gunfire ALL night many nights, drag racing as well up and down the road. I grew up with guns and the amount of gunfire very close was unnerving. The owners can’t control this, which I totally understand. However, this would prevent me from returning. Sites are SOOOOO small, our canopy could not open all the way if someone was next to us and the sewer hookups for each site are IN the middle of the very small area you do get There are burrs EVERYWHERE. I had to brush 20-30 out of our dog every time she sat down outside. Located next to the train tracks which were very loud and shook our trailer even with stabilizers. The bathrooms here really need to be attended to more often, out of paper towel or supplies for days more than once.
Elizabeth E — Google review
Pleasant, well maintained little RV park just 5 miles from the French Quarter. Nice dunk pool and spa area with a covered patio. Do expect traffic noise at night due to location .
Margaret E — Google review
This is an r v park, only back in sites No cabins restrooms are clean shower areas.Clean laundry room is nice.Pool was open while I was there. But closed on the day before I left. Nice place to visitThey have a gate that closes in front of the campground.Prior to close of business, they open it up in the morning when they open up. I rode the bus into the french quarters for eighty cents.Got a transfer and use the transfer to come back that afternoon.Transfers are good for twenty four hours.

This gated park features 32 spacious back-in sites equipped with full hookups, including both 30 and 50-amp service, cable TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy convenient amenities such as clean shower facilities and laundry services monitored by security cameras. This park is great and we plan to come back next fall. A safe gated area close to the city with reasonable rates. The spaces are large and grass covered. There is a gated pet area and our dog insists on visiting the manager every day and she is an asset to this park and is very nice to deal with.

Last 6 years we stayed at this park because of the spacious lots and proximity to town and being on the bus line to go to Jazz Fest. This year, the park is under new and great management with many improvements. The clean showers, new laundry machines, improved landscaping. The new manager on site is absolutely great, customer oriented and most helpful! We made reservations for the next year!
Olga E — Google review
We needed to stop for the night and called. Miss Melissa was so helpful. We were able to stop and she gave us directions on how to travel since we had no vehicle. She was spot on with everything. We actually stayed 2 nights. Her hospitality was over the top! The park was clean, safe and most of all friendly! If I could I would give 10⭐️'s
Andrea D — Google review
A wonderful park with large spaces, easy hookup, large private bathrooms. Cozy lounge with coffee, movies, and mini library. Perfectly affordable and safe place with an easy jump into town and just down the road from Smiley's Café - a place you don't want to miss for a great NOLA breakfast!
Brandi J — Google review
We are traveling from Idaho and found this nice oasis close to New Orleans. Very clean and quite even though trains are on the tracks behind. We had a wonderful stay! Easy access back and forth to French quarters. Thank you to the manager/owner.
Joan B — Google review
I stayed here for five nights during JazzFest, taking the bus to and from the festival. There are bus stops just outside the entrance. It's not a fancy RV park, but it has all the basics. Melissa, the manager, is great. Restrooms and showers are clean and cooled. It felt secure: the gate was closed every night and was mostly closed during the days. This excluded both vehicles and pedestrians who didn't have the entry code. It's near a railway marshalling yard, but I did not hear trains at night. The neighborhood is not high-rent, but I felt relatively secure inside and outside the RV park. If I revisit JazzFest, I'll stay here again.
Jim O — Google review
Well maintained and very clean park with exceptional service. The highlight of the park is definitely the manager, Melissa. She is why we chose to stay. Hardworking and goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are comfortable, safe, and happy campers.

We enjoyed our stay at Three Oaks and Pines RV resort. We got in after dark but spaces were large and obstacle free for backing up. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. It is clean and neat. We would highly recommend it. Close to the city too.

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Lake Pontchartrain, the New Orleans RV Resort & Marina offers a delightful blend of relaxation and adventure just a short drive from the vibrant French Quarter. This casual resort features an array of amenities including six types of RV campsites, ranging from spacious "Presidential" options to charming waterfront sites. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in New Orleans! Traveling to the location was a bit questionable at first, but once we arrived, it exceeded all of our expectations! The staff was incredibly friendly, kind, accommodating, and helpful throughout our stay. The cleanliness of the facilities was impressive, and the quality of the food was excellent — far better than we imagined. It’s also very cost-friendly, making it a great option for families or anyone traveling on a budget. We will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend New Orleans RV Boat and Marina to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay in the area!

Great get away for a weekend trip or Saints game. Plenty of lots with all hook ups ready to go, villas, and restaurant on site with delicious food. Staff is excellent, friendly, and courteous! Very accommodating staff. Clean and tidy place-even the grounds are clean. Great place to dock or pull in an RV or rent a villa (like hotel rooms). 20 minutes from downtown including traffic- straight shot to downtown once on interstate!! A great hideaway!! Ca! T say enough good things about this place!

Great RV spot, friendly staff, restaurant and bar on location. Best part was they provide shuttle services from the resort to the French Quarters. The service is provided by an independent business owner Adam. We took his private tour and it was AMAZING, he is so knowledgeable and we learned so much history and saw everything there is to see in NOLA. At the end of the tour he drops you off in the French Quarters and picks you back up, so much fun and Adam is such a great guy! Highly recommended his services!!

I was a guest at a party just recently. It was really upsetting what I witnessed. First thing was a young man told a party guest that we could not be at the pool, wrong. When the party hostess came out she handed the kids bracelets to swim. Then a female worker came out there started the conversation on a bad note, which drew attention to them. She changed her story 3 times about the kids being in the pool. Then she yelled "I can't let these children swim for another hour!" We all looked at each other, then the hostess turned around and stated everybody get out the pool, and without hesitation the kids got out. Fuming from embarrassment I went and took a look at the contract it said nothing about the pool could not be used. I was shocked because I had never experienced anything like that when we rented a villa. I am so disappointed. Will cancel my future plan to get another villa from here again.

Worst experience at a campground ever. Called 3 months in advance and they put us in a site by the dog park at the end of a road. WE DON'T HAVE A DOG!! Every day we had people in our site. People also drove cars to our site thinking they could get thru. Our picnic table was in weeds. Very bad landscape. We had to sit in weeds. Staff in office were not helpful. Only bright spot was Adam (shuttle driver). He was great!! Gave us a great tour of New Orleans. Will not be back and will not recommend this place. CC
Michael C — Google review
This is a great park, it could be amazing if they ran a lawn mower through the park. It wasn't that much of a problem because we spent most of our time outside of the park. Easy to get to New Orleans. We stayed in a Presidential Site on the water with a cabana and hot tub. We did enter the restaurant for wings and a couple of beers one evening. No problems. Internet was a small fee per day, we have a hotspot and didn't use it. Our $153 per night is a Presidential site including all taxes and fees.
Michael K — Google review
This is a great RV park that truly stands out. The facilities are clean, the atmosphere is wonderfully quiet and peaceful and the staff are hospitable and helpful, creating a welcoming and relaxing experience. Adam provides not only a shuttle bus into downtown New Orleans but also great advice and insights into the town itself which was fabulous for us first timers in New Orleans. Thanks Adam, will definitely be back next time.

Pine Crest RV Park is a regional New Orleans RV park that is clean, quiet, and safe. They have free Wifi and propane, as well as an area for tent camping. It's about a half hour north of all the craziness in New Orleans. MH Park is a quieter campground with pet-friendly rules and paved pull-thru sites for RVs.
We had a great stay at Pine Crest. I called to book while we were on the road and the owner, Chuck was very friendly, super helpful and informative. Affordable pricing, well maintained campground and very well ran. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay here.

Place is a dump. The grass hasn't been mowed at all this year. It was at least a foot tall in places. Lots are rock and mud. If it rains you are going to track mud inside your RV. Then the long term people are super junkie. Power ped doesn't even have breakers on it. Our plug looked like at one point shorted out and never was replaced. They have some guy walking around that makes you feel uncomfortable also. He literally walked up to our camper while we were un-hooking and started asking questions. It made my wife very uncomfortable. We ended up leaving after not even a hour being there. First desk women where nice when we got there but was very rude when we voiced our concerns. They made it a point to tell us we were out of our 4 day rent that we paid. How rude!! Definitely don't stay here unless you are looking for a trashy mobile home park. Because that's what it is. Good Sam should drop these people also! Review Update: Since you decided to reply trying to cover up I figured I'd update the review showing photos. Also, it doesn't matter who's renting the lots. You enforce the rules to keep it clean. You stated the grass was mowed 2 weeks ago? This time of year it should be mowed once a week. Also as you can see from the picture the lot isn't nice concrete like you stated. Maybe 30 years ago it was. As for the creepy guy, at one point he was standing at the end of the road staring at us. If that's a employee then I'm sorry but he either needs to learn people skills or go find another job.

We have stayed several times. This time, two months. It is clean, quiet and pleasant. The workers are very helpful and friendly. The grounds are very pretty and we enjoyed walking our dogs through the park like paths.

Stayed for 3 months in 2024. Standard sites are decent, but watch out for low spots in heavy rains. Maintenance happens on a regular basis (despite what some reviews may imply.) Nice to have paved roads. Owner and staff are great, helpful and nice. Good prices. Many long term residents. Surprisingly quiet for being so close to the interstate. Premium sites look very good.

This place is the best RV park my husband and I have been so if your looking for safety and convenience and quietness this is the place to be.And if you love fishing they have the biggest bayou inside the Rv Park oh and the prices are unbeatable. The staff down to the owner are amazing people they really care about there guest even if you're staying short term are long term you won't be disappointed they have so much to offer so come and check them out in Slidell LA. and we don't plan on going any where else. Thanks Guys we love it here

The lot was level and spacious. Quiet here in March. Lovely little stream in back with birds and turtles (beware of alligator sign). But a lack of pool would be a problem later in the season. And children's playground need updating to keep kids amused. Good location though.

Perfect location for visiting New Orleans or the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This place has many pave sites or concrete patios and if staying for a longer term as a snowbird ,travel nurse or short term project manager , there is no better location . staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. There are 9 acres of lakes on the property, all paved streets and close to the interstate for going anyplace quick. “ Country Living with City Conveniences”

We were passing through 1 day before Fat Tuesday. We sent a email that morning to see about any openings. They replied right away. They got us in same day. Only down fall was they Doubled the price for our stay because of mardi Gras. So it cost us 170.00 dollars for a two night stay! Campsites are very crowded but perfect to just sleep if you are there to check out the surrounding area. The office staff was amazing and very accommodating. Beautiful lakes for fishing.

Pelican RV Park New Orleans offers beautiful waterfront camping with crystal-clear waters that touch the gulf. The park also has a fishing spot, a cleaning station, and ample amenities for RVs.
Greg is great, the park is close to everything we wanted to see in New Orleans and was a convenient central hub. The price is right and we have no complaints. Yeah it was a bit noisy at night but Greg told us long before we decided to stay that it might be and he put us away from it as much as he could. You have to eat at Smiley's Grill just outside the gate. Tasty food, nice staff.

Pretty much the same experience as everyone else. Lots of excitement listening to the burnouts and automatic gunfire. The caliber of women outside the daiquiri chef parking lot was.. different. Never really felt like my life was in danger though. Wouldn't bring my family here for a vacation but it suited us fine for what we were there for. Work. Others in the group were pretty scared though and deemed the accommodations as unsatisfactory; demanding that we leave. But we stayed over a month. The Folger's plant was pretty cool. After my stay I stopped drinking Folger's Coffee all together. Would make for a great story if you do end up staying in Eastghanistan.

Warning! Do not stay here! Very bad part of town. Loud street party going all night next door. Motorcycle burnouts til the am. Trash and metal debris everywhere. Only one shower and bathroom. No hand soap, toilet paper or paper towels. Shower disgusting. When asked mgr said he would replenish but 24 hrs later, nothing. Weed whacker going outside our window at 7am. Booked 3 nights and leaving after 1. Horrible day and night. Uber drivers very hesitant to pick up. We waited at corner for Uber and were threatened by party goers. Tried to address this with Greg/Craig and he hung up on us. There’s a homeless person living behind the bathroom and gets very upset if the bathroom is busy and she needs to use it. We’re surrounded by freeways and storage containers and enclosed by a gate. We do not feel safe at all! This is only some of the bad stuff. I could go on but this reviews long enough. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STAY HERE EVEN ONE NIGHT!

This was our second stay here and enjoyed the convenient location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Each day the staff was busy working on their property keeping everything clean and functional. We really enjoyed having the Landing restaurant on site providing very good New Orleans dishes. We'll be back...

Owner/grounds people very nice and helpful. Spaces are large and easy to park larger rigs in. However, it was VERY noisy! Extremely loud music plays next door non stop from noon till about 11pm. It’s very close to the highway as well.

My husband and I have been going to NOLA for the last 5 years, this year is the first time we've taken our RV. We booked before reading the reviews and I have to say I was apprehensive about staying here after reading some of them. But we came anyway and I have to say I don't know what all y'all complaining about. Yes the neighborhood was sketchy but the park itself was very secure and quiet. You can tell the owner is trying to clean it up. Nobody bothered us and the noise isn't as bad as everyons has said. Overall It was a pleasant stay. For $50.00 a night on jazz fest weekend you can't beat that. We will defiantly come stay here again. Oh and smileys grill is very good.
Cheryl B — Google review
This is a difficult review to write. Pelican is not your regular RV Park. It is very run down and in need of a lot of work. I think the owners are fairly new (2 to 5 years?). They have made some repairs which were very necessary. Hopefully there are more repairs to come. I suspect the owners are more focused on the little restaurant (and maybe the bar down the road, too? Do they own that as well?). Do not go there if you are a fussy RVer and complain about things like cigarettes butts and bottle caps on the ground at your site; or if you complain about excessive highway noise. The highway noise is what I would expect in a city location. And as for the gear heads racing cars on the neighborhood streets, well I actually like that... For the price of the site ($40 a night), it's a bit too expensive for what they offer. The location is why we were there. That nearly justified the cost for her (I am OK with 40). We took a bus from the corner to a stop close to the French Quarter. Being seniors, it cost 85¢ for a 24 hour unltd bus pass. You can drive your toad to the parking lot behind the double decker tour bus HQ (Basin St). Parking at the bus HQ was a reasonable cost. You can actually park an RV there if you pay for all the parking spots your rig takes up. I would go back to Pelican. The owners are nice people. The residents of Pelican are nice people. A lot are full timers there and not in nice rigs, but they are nice people. The park is gated and secure. But I did lock my basement storage doors... But I lived in NYC and tend to be a bit suspicious...

We enjoyed our stay here! Greg was fantastic. The reservation program messed up my booking and Greg fixed it immediately. When we got there, he helped us back our monster in and get set up. I liked that it felt secure. There's a main gate and a passenger gate, both with codes. It's not too far from the French quarter and right off the interstate. Wal-Mart and fast food is within a 3 minute drive or a 20 minute walk.

The Parc d'orleans RV park is a well-managed and efficient facility with 70 campsites available, full hookups, and 20/30/50 amp service. The staff is knowledgeable and easy to work with, making it a lot more convenient for campers. This RV park is comfortable and affluent, so even the owner himself has chosen to live there permanently!
If you want real people treating you right, you want to stop here. Safe and quiet. Mr Curtis and Ms. May are both friendly and caring people who take care of this place. Gated with easy access to I-10. Priced right for the weary traveler. Close to downtown. Stop in and stay safe.

Stayed for almost a year and it was a horrible experience, too much for what it is actually worth. Lady was very unfriendly and very rude. Bathrooms were very filthy! Curtis was only nice to rich people or when you paid your lot rent. Constantly complaining about my dogs, he and his wife hate animals. Wouldn't recommend !

Located 6.5 mile from Bourbon street. Full hookups & laundry facility. Excepts passport america. Owner was very nice & friendly.

The owner was very nice. Wanted to make sure that we picked the site we wanted. Best comments first cement parking pad and gated and locked so security! Less then 10 minutes from the French Quarter. Laundry facilities all the ones I tried work, but I’m very old and worn. Bathroom’s are not clean. we were glad we had one on board. We were only staying for a few nights they took passport America and the price is right. If you’re looking for a Resort you may want to choose somewhere else. But for a parking lot, the place is doable!

Spent four days here. Nothing special no amenities which is fine for us. Everyone was helpful and pretty easy to get along with. The campground is next to the rail yard. The noise was not bad too us. You could hear the whistle occasionally. The campground is fenced and gated. It can be a little tight. For the money it was not bad.
Wayne A — Google review
It doesn't look like such a great neighborhood but no one really bothers you and the park is gated Inside the gate is nice I felt very safe inside the gate to walk my dogs alone at night too and the owners are great and willing to accommodate within reason, laundry unit on site and grass yards at every site also is nice! Plus a Separate area by itself and for taking your dogs out everyone has seemed very nice the owner really seems to care about the people who choose to stay here and he keeps up the park so that it stays nice. Just wish it was in a little nicer neighborhood but I would definitely stay here again, thanks!
Rebecca L — Google review
A reasonably priced RV park. Location was convenient to drive into downtown / French Quarter, easily. Although the park is near to railroad tracks, most of that traffic was at low speed. It was not a problem for us. We felt safe and interactions with owner manager were kind, friendly and helpful. We paid them with our out of state check for payment. We will stay here again when we are in the area. Thank you!
Laura C — Google review
If you're looking for ease of use and to be left alone, then those are definitely pros of this place. However, the cons are many and I will try to list them here for you in as best a way as I can. First, the owner was nice. Okay, well, one of them. The other was an extremely cranky Asian lady who didn't seem to care whether we stayed there or not. Second, I wouldn't let even my worst enemy use the bathrooms here, let alone the showers. GROSS. The drains were full of cigarette butts, and 2/3 of the stalls were clogged the entire time we were there. Also... don't count on the facility to provide toilet paper. The slabs, which are promoted as the largest in New Orleans are no bigger than the slabs anywhere else. They are also broken up and in much need of repair. The hook ups are new, but that is only because they had to be replaced after the tornado in January or February. The location is extremely sketchy. The property is not gated. There is junk EVERYWHERE. Someone tried to pick the lock to our RV while we were out one day. Are you 2Fast2Furious? Because if you are not, you're going to be upset with the nightly street races that go on well past midnight every single night. Do you find the sound of trains relaxing? You won't here. There is a train track the runs directly behind the property that crashes and bangs all night long... and typically blows the horn VERY early in the morning EVERY morning. So, yeah... we stayed here a full week and got out as soon as we could and moved down about a mile to the Pelican RV Park, which was considerably better... sort of.

Bayou Segnette State Park is a spacious park with various recreational areas, including picnic sites, a playground, and a wave pool. It offers lush green nature camping just a 20-minute drive from New Orleans. While the campground has received some criticism for maintenance issues, visitors have felt safe and appreciated the helpful staff. The park's facilities are generally clean, but some areas may need repairs and updates.
Great campground for anyone visiting New Orleans. The park is clean, lots of vegetation, some sites are tight while most have a lot of elbow room and the bathhouses are clean, good sizes with plenty of water pressure. The raised walking path between the campgrounds is a good stroll thru nature but I noticed it needs a little bit of upkeeping. Outside of the campground you got plenty of park and recreational area to go hiking, biking, picnicking and quite a few bbq areas. The area still had major hurricane effects but were working on it.

Lovely picnic area and playground, but don’t come here expecting to see much nature. The short wooded areas of the hiking trails are badly overgrown, and much of the nominal walking trail is on the same paved loop that cars use to access the boat launch.

Great park! We camped here for a week, it was amazing! The staff were friendly, park is very quiet and well maintained! Shower is hot, bathroom is clean, laundry room is clean. Lots of room between sites. Trees are in every site so you can get lots of shade. The board walk plants are slightly overgrown but it doesn’t bother me at all! Had a great time here, would recommend!

Nice campground. Has demand procing which is odd and kind of b.s.. park was nearly empty and it was over $43.00 per night. You also have to pay the per person park day use fee which is kind of weird. Anything to squeeze a little more money out of you. Showers were too hot and burnt my hand badly. Glad I checked it with my hand and not my body.

Nestled about 18 miles southeast of New Orleans in St. Bernard Parish, St. Bernard State Park is a hidden gem that offers a serene escape from the bustling city life. This charming park features well-maintained campsites equipped with water and electrical hookups, picnic tables, BBQ grills, and even laundry facilities for your convenience. With its small size and only 51 sites available, you can enjoy a peaceful camping experience without the crowds often found in larger parks. St.
We stayed at St. Bernard State Park in Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans, and it was such a peaceful and beautiful park. We had electric and water hookups, no sewer, but there was a dumping station. We originally planned to stay for 2 weeks during Christmas but then asked if we could stay an additional week to further experience New Orleans during New Year's. They were very accommodating and allowed us to move spots the last week and enjoy the area a little longer. The drive to New Orleans wasn’t bad either, and it was nice to be out of the city! We had a little pop-up gazebo set up outside and spent time outside every night. Such an amazing experience! I would highly recommend it if you are wanting to visit the area. Super peaceful, quiet, and reasonably priced!

It’s first come first serve State Park which makes it easier for us to get the site. We have two vans (19ft & 23ft), we were allowed to stay together at the same site. The campground looks nice. We were told the alligators could be there in the campground and should be careful. I personally like the column of trees along route 46 a few miles before getting to the campground.

This is a great place to camp! Sites are good-sized and spaced apart. It's clean and a nice distance to visit New Orleans but stay in a peaceful environment. We had a fun evening walk around the loop photographing armadillos. The staff is very nice & willing to answer questions and give information about the park.

What a wonderful 4 nights of tent camping we had here! Campground done right! Quiet and safe. Locked gate at night. Travel to downtown New Orleans is easy if you drive around the Mississippi and/or fun if you take the ferry over to Belle Chase! $1.00 We did both from here and explored beyond the city as well. The staff were helpful. The laundry room was great. Showers were hot and the site had water AND electrical for around $20. a night depending on how many nights you stay. It’s cheaper for more nights. Obviously, we would not tent camp here in the warm season! Bugs were okay in December. The owls were vocal every night and plentiful. Armadillos scurried through the vegetation at night and coons crawling all over our truck! Lol. This is a great park!

Pros: quiet, secluded, large campsites, close to new orleans-it was only about 30min to the French quarter, convenient dump station with potable water, actively treating pest problems, splash pad open year round, they have a really nice playground on the camp site and another at the splash pad. Accommodated late check in. Wide paved roads to accommodate large campers. Paved slabs. Cons: pool was closed-but this is listed online, women's bathhouse wasn't usable due to a wasp infestation they were actively treating and signage was posted, bathhouse was dirty and poorly maintained, some sites are difficult to back into with longer trailers, there are no lights, very few full hook up sites, no paved patio. The dump station is located on the side for going in no leaving so you have to pull your camper out, turn around, then pull back up and go through the campsites again to finally leave-it probably added an extra 5-10min just to dump. Toss up: There was a train in the distance that was quiet and could lull you to sleep, my husband said it kept him awake, there was no vibration. Site markings were a bit difficult to find at night, they are on the road, however there are lights on each hookup so if you back in at night you won't crash. We stayed at site 11 which was a beast to back into at night with a 35ft camper. But the site had a view of the playground which made it feel like we had our own playground, online it said no shade but there was plenty of shade. The trees were placed around sites to provide shade without interfering with campers. I would easily stay here again and try to find a site with full hook ups, or just hope they upgrade all of their sites to be full hook ups. It was a great value, great trip. We also checked in late and staff were accommodating to allow us late check in instructions.

This is my favorite place to camp. It’s close to New Orleans but far enough to be peaceful and safe. The campsites are lovely. There’s a laundry area and rest room/shower area centrally located. I love that you can pay for the laundry machines with an app if you choose. All the park staff are friendly and helpful. I also like that they lock the gates at night but you have the ability to get out in an emergency.

Bayou Barataria RV Park is an excellent place to stay while vacationing in the New Orleans area. It has full hook-ups, a boat launch, and is close to many attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the park is always clean.
My husband stayed at the campground while working at Port Sulphur for almost 12 months. He was very pleased with the welcome he received from Shawn since day one. Shawn answers your calls and is always happy to help. I felt safe whenever I stayed there and our neighbors were friendly. It's in a great location! Whether your stay is for work or pleasure, we highly recommend Bayou Barataria RV Park. Thanks for everything Shawn!

There were few amenities other than water, electricity, and sewer, but our site was level, and there was a decent amount of space between us and our neighbor, who was very nice. As others have noted, the park is situated in an industrial area, but it is quiet and feels secure. A lot of the residents appear to be long-term and working in the area. Shawn, the manager, is very nice as is Scott, the owner. There is what appears to be a sewage pump station in the park. When it's on, it is fairly loud and a little stinky. All in all, it is a good place to park when visiting New Orleans. We would stay here again. We rode the Algiers ferry to New Orleans at Shawn's suggestion. We parked on the street for free, and the ferry ride was just $2 each. A great deal!

This is A GREAT RV Park!!!!! Bayou Barataria is a well kept RV Park and it’s QUIET!!!!! The spaces have adequate room between you and your neighbors, so no one can hear each other’s conversations or vehicles. I feel safe and secure here. It’s got real good lighting outside at night. Our neighbors are nice. My husband & I were originally going to stay somewhere else but that fell through, so we found Bayou Barataria on Google. I’m extremely happy here!!!!!!!!!! The site we stayed in has 30 & 50 amp service and FHUs. The price for 3 nights was very reasonable. (Some places charge way too much!) AND…..it’s only 15 minutes from downtown New Orleans!!!!!!!!! The managers name is Shawn. He was polite, courteous and friendly. He led us to our space, gave us our code to go inside the laundry room/ restrooms which are located inside a small building. And the WIFI password. Shawn & Lee Anne gave us Top Tier Customer Service all around. There is one restroom with one shower for Men & a SEPARATE restroom with shower for Women. 😊 😊 The laundry room has 3 washing machines and 4 dryers. The A/C keeps the laundry room nice and comfortably cool even when the dryer is going. No Laundry detergent dispensers so make sure you bring your own. Each machine costs $2 per load. I did 2 loads of wash & 2 loads to dry which cost me $8 in QUARTERS. SO MAKE SURE YOU GET A ROLL OF QUARTERS from the Casino up the road or from the bank if you need to do laundry.😇 We have enjoyed our stay here and we will MOST DEFINITELY RETURN TO Bayou Barataria in the future!!!!!!!!!! 10 STARS ⭐️

If you're looking for a peaceful and affordable place to stay close to New Orleans, Bayou Barataria RV Park is an excellent choice. My wife and I stayed there for just over 13 weeks while she worked as a travel nurse at a Children’s Hospital in the Metairie area, and we absolutely loved it. The park is well-maintained, with paved roads, full hookups, and a clean and well-kept laundry room with separate men and women's bathrooms and showers. One of the best things about the park is its manager, Shawn, who is always available and very attentive to his guests' needs. He and his wife, LeAnn, do an excellent job of keeping the park clean and decorated for every occasion. The park is also very secure, with a key-pad bathhouse and security cameras around the property. In terms of location, the park is just a few minutes' drive from town no matter which direction you go. Our 13-year-old son loved it there as well. There are plenty of things to do in the area, from helicopter tours, haunted ghost tours, swamp tours, cruising the Mississippi River in the Creole Queen listening to live jazz, concerts, parades galore, fishing along the channels to biking and we even built a swing on the big old oak tree just west of the RV park for other kids to explore. Overall, Bayou Barataria RV Park is an excellent place to stay for an extended period. It's quiet, clean, affordable, and conveniently located near New Orleans. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay in Louisiana. Oh and just a heads up keep an eye out for the parks mascot Jerry the armadillo (the neighborhood kids named him) he moves slow across the road at times and you wouldn’t want to accidentally run into the little feller.

Richards RV Park, nestled in the charming town of St. Bernard, Louisiana, offers a cozy retreat for travelers seeking proximity to New Orleans without the hustle and bustle. Just a short 15-mile drive from the vibrant French Quarter, this park provides a peaceful atmosphere after exploring the lively city. While its facilities are modest, they shine with cleanliness and comfort. The grassy sites are level and provide ample shade for relaxation; however, some guests noted that adding gravel could enhance their experience further.
We loved this place! Donna + Travis were beyond personable. They gave great suggestions about what to do in New Orleans + treated us like family. The park was clean and secluded from the busy city. The drive into the city from the park is so beautiful. Highly recommend this park to anyone!!

This place was great even though there were no showers or bathrooms just a little laundry building. Donna, the manager, couldn't have been nicer. She put us in a nice spot and was very caring and concerned about the storm that was on the way if we needed anything to let her know. Super nice person.

Great location for visiting New Orleans. 15 mile drive straight into NO. 40 MPH, so it takes about 30 minutes. Nice shady park. Donna was great. She was out of town so she asked a neighbor to show uis our site. We paid her the next afternoon after sightseeing in the morning. The sites could use some gravel, but they were grassy and level. Our Antenna picked up 30 channels, so no cable was needed. The sewers could also use some updating, but they worked sufficiently. Laundry could use a little "finishing". It was OK, but no signage telling us that the dryers needed $2, not $1.50 as in the washers. also would be nice to know how long the $2 ran...55 minutes. Wireless didn't work at our site (in the trees) but worked fine near the laundry and office. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will stay here again if we get to NO.

Stayed here for months without a problem. Donna is a rock solid Landlord. If you have an issue with a noisy or disrespectful tenant. She will deal with it immediately. There were other RV parks closer to my job site but I chose this one for the convenience and friendly staff. If I ever have to work in New Orleans or the Saint Bernard area again I will definitely be staying at Richards Rv Park.

Me and my family stayed here a couple of weeks ago while visiting New Orleans. The location was perfect for us...a 15 minute drive to the French Quarter and yet far enough to feel safe and peaceful after a day of "craziness" in "The Big Easy". The 2 wonderful gentlemen who run the park, Shanon and Jeremy, were SO helpful and knowledgeable. The park is peaceful and I felt safe staying there. There is a laundry on site, but no washroom facility...however, this is reflected in the cheap rates they offer. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend this park to anyone visiting new orleans.

Located in New Orleans' industrial area, the Riverboat Travel Park offers RV camping with full hookups and a swimming pool. It also has a convenience store, clean restrooms, and laundry facilities. Pets are allowed at this campground making it an option for those travelling with their furry friends.
This is a great place to stay for New Orleans exploring. The site is right off the highway but you will need to take a U-turn to get to the front. We felt safe and secure because of the front gate and tall barbed wire fences that keep your equipment locked away. They have a fully stocked store for all your basic needs including common hardware. The hosts are beautiful people that gave solid advice for our tour of the Big Easy. We stayed only three nights and would have stayed longer if not for other planned travel. Three nights isn't really enough time to really experience New Orleans. We talked to a few people that were staying there for a longer term and they mentioned their monthly rate was $750. We definitely recommend this place to stay and when we return someday, we will stay here again! Pets are welcome, however, concrete and gravel stones everywhere with no grass. Thank you for giving us a great experience!

DO NOT STAY HERE. Worst experience ever. Very dangerous neighborhood, no grass for pets, razor wire at the top of the fence on one side. Was like being in prison. Wish we could give negative stars. Spend the money and stay in the French Quarter or at the Jean LaFitte National Park. Our vacation was ruined staying here.

A lovely little rv park for short term stays in the heart of New Orleans. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful with directions as well as other questions we had. Highly recommend for a low amenity stay.

Amazing staff/owner! Our Vehicle needed a jump on the first night after closing and they still came out and assisted us. Ray is such a funny gentleman. He is kind and very knowledgeable about the local area. Bathrooms are clean. Area is secure. Highly recommended this very affordable location.

As a self-contained unit, this was perfect. The surrounding area is rough, but you are in New Orleans,15 minutes to everything. The RV park is fenced and we felt safe the entire time. You have more than enough space, the hookups are good and the price is right. The owners are friendly, helpful and have a grocery store up front that was super convenient. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We were happy with our decision to stay here. The price is good for the area and the owner was really nice and helpful. The bus stop was easy to find. It's basically just a parking lot with hookups, so you're going to be really close to your neighbor, but all in all its a good place.
Ashley D — Google review
The owner was very nice and helpful with information and places to visit. He even brought his bird out for our son to see. Very basic spot with concrete and rocks...no grass. Laundry area was basic and worked well. Secure with a drive through gate. Rating 4 star due to the friendly owner and price.

We stayed here for a week, just working to help with the tornado that went through Arabi. Definitely not an RV Resort, but a clean, safe (gated), quiet place to park. Not alot of space to park, but they allow 2 spaces for your Rv & vehicle. There were junkie parts (back by the dumpster), but the bath house w showers and laundry house were very clean. At night it sounded like there were alot of motorcycle and car racing in the area, but once we turned on our AC, we weren't bothered by it. We would come back if only needed a place to park while working during the day. Nice folks in the office.

RV park
Mardi Gras RV Park offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for travelers seeking a comfortable stay. With options for both paved and grassy spots, guests can enjoy the tranquility of the park while being surrounded by friendly faces, including the charming local cats. The new management is dedicated to enhancing the experience with fresh paint and recently remodeled bathrooms. While the surrounding neighborhood may not be perfect, Mardi Gras RV Park stands out for its affordability and warm hospitality from manager Ivan and his team.
The review dont reflect the new owner. They are cleaning up fresh paint etc. Very nice people. Your choice of pavement or grass. Very quite. The price you can beat anywhere in town. Yes the outside neighborhood is not the best but whos to judge. I think you should give them a chance.

Very hood. You will see all kinds of people here..but the gas station right next door has the best inexpensive food ever! Shrimp poboy was as long as both thighs but together loaded with shrimp!
Anonymous T — Google review
What Mardi Gras RV park lacks in looks and general quality, it makes up for with hearty company from the park manager Ivan and the local cats.
Tim G — Google review
This place is very run down. Some of the people staying at the location appear to be drug addicts and or long term tenants. It looks like an unsafe location. Railroad tracks also run behind it.
Nicky — Google review
This is not an RV park it’s a parking lot with hook ups and smells like sewage will not stay there again
Shovelhead H — Google review
Horrible neighborhood. Really unsafe and dirty. I suggest looking for a new place ASAP!!!
