RV park
Campground
Admiralty RV Resort by QRV is a picturesque and well-maintained RV park located in San Antonio, Texas. It offers a variety of RV sites and cottage rentals with 30/50-amp hookups. The resort prides itself on its abundance of trees and provides amenities such as a pool, fitness room, laundry facilities, and even a free shuttle service to SeaWorld. The staff is friendly and accommodating, offering great customer service.
This resort is truly the best I've been too! The service is amazing! The bathrooms are clean, large, and they have showers! The pool isn't too deep and a nice place for hanging out. The laundry room is SUPER convenient and the vending machines are a plus. Our neighbors have been kind and the community events are splendid! The resort is also right next to a Sea World, high school, and elementary school all within walking distance. I've had no problems walking to school!

We visit our San Antonio grandkids a few times a year from Arizona and this is always our go to place! Our grandson LOVES the HUGE pool. It's beautiful and always clean, as well as the whole park. I think most of the people live there long term, which I would definitely do if I went to visit for an extended period. I feel very safe there. The staff has always been very nice and helpful and welcoming! Glad I found this place!
Pamela H — Google review
I would not classify this as a resort. It is essentially a trailer park with RVs. No frills. Most of the sites are annual/long term/ or they just live there. Requested ADA/wheelchair accessible site, was assigned a site furthest from that. Employees were very friendly, the pool was beautiful, quiet, and well maintained. The laundry room is nice, all the machines work well, and it is air conditioned. You can download the app or swipe your card. Either way, you get charged a 25 cent technology fee for each washer and dryer cycle you use. That "fee" should just be built in the cost. Or just let people use quarters to avoid the fee altogether.

Really great place to Camp an RV at, Staff is super friendly and helpful. The resort is kept clean plenty of space for bunch of activities. The pool is kept up with. Love the 24/7 restrooms with working showers and clean toilets. It gets a little warm in there but over all pretty good set up. Laundry room is also 24/7 and never really a long wait. Everyone living or visiting the resort is super friendly. I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay.
Crispin G — Google review
First time staying here although itvwas a short stay I found the park very clean and well kept. The service and people were very pleasant and helpful. There is lots of trees and shade, quite, and located close to Sea World. I would recommend staying here. Thank you for your hospitality and welcoming attitudes.
Mark B — Google review
This is a very nice RV park. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We have stayed here in the past and will definitely stay her again, as well as recommend to our friends and family.
Kim R — Google review
My experience with the staff was top notch! Lots of mature trees for shade! The park was clean and easy to navigate. I worked nights and slept days and had no issues with loud neighbors or noise ( except lawn day, which can’t be avoided). The laundry facilities were very easy to use with the app. There’s even a section in the lobby to buy emergency items if you are in need. Let’s talk about the WiFi! I have never been to a park that had consistent WiFi, but they did! I was able to stream TV shows for hours without any problems. Thank you for the wonderful stay! I will be back!

Older site, had ant issue for several months, getting better after 20 bates. Bathroom cleaning is below what I would wish for but a little better than my last place. Most shower stalls are small and curtains allow water onto outer floor.

Traveler's World RV Resort is a large, pet-friendly RV resort located in the heart of San Antonio. With full hookups and a heated pool, this RV park is perfect for travelers looking to enjoy all that San Antonio has to offer.
Love, safe place to stay. Staff is very accommodating. Lots of trees for shade and many of the sites. Some drainage issues with water pooling at the entry point of pull through sites. Full hook up. Great location for seeing Downtown and mission tours. highly recommend this location. pet friendly. Great washer dryer system that you can use Google or Apple Pay for. free but rather week Internet. Child friendly elements like tiny pet putt golf and small pool but mostly adult oriented with quiet community. 10/10

Staid here for a few days in our class a. It’s a really nice park, big spaces and easy to get in and out of. Each spot has a nice little grassy yard. They have a pickleball court and fitness center and swimming pools. It was about a 10 minute drive to the Alamo and river walk from here. Everyone was real friendly and they had a few park models as well. Would def stay here again if we’re in the San Antonio area.
Mike L — Google review
We stayed here a few nights in our RV and quite enjoyed it. A great location for sure! The park was clean, organized and well equipped. We were grateful to do laundry and the pool area looked lovely. It was quiet and the other campers were kind. My only complaint is the Wifi. It allowed for only the most basic of uses, we could not stream Netflix or work (which is why I stay at these types of parks). You can of course, pay for more data; which I find insulting at the rate for a night here. This would be 5 star if they provided better Wifi.
Carrie H — Google review
The location is slightly in a bad neighborhood. But we felt safe there. The riverwalk was nice. The facilities was fantastic and clean. Was very happy with the location. Definitely going to return again.
Wandering B — Google review
Our first time to this area and resort and we had an enjoyable time. The park is nicely maintained, level lots, green grass nice space between each and some have shade which is a luxury in the heat and humidity. The pool was so refreshing and a place to meet new friends, sadly it closes at 10 (one more hour would be perfect!). Check in was a breeze especially after hours. Staff is super friendly. Laundry was squeaky clean and easy to use with a credit card or coins. Down the street was a bit sketchy but I never felt unsafe ever. I "heard" there were some homeless down by the river walk but you are in TX so I doubt any would mess w/ travelers, I did not see them nor did I go to the riverwalk area next door. The location is fabulous to the Alamo, the river walk in the city and other local attractions. We didn't vist the fitness center but heard from new friends it was nice, the pickle ball court looks brand new and my dog loved the dog park each day. If you go this week you must stop by the pool at night and say hello to Maggie and Louie a friendly couple from CA. Oh water pressure is amazing too! everything worked great, if we pass through again we will be back :)
Nina M — Google review
The place itself is nice but they have co-ed showers that make it very uncomfortable for a woman who is traveling; they need to have separate men’s and women’s showers.
Cromwell — Google review
If you want to walk, job or bike the River Walk Path this is a great place to stay. By bike, the park is about 4 miles to the downtown area with all the shops and restaurants and about 5.5 miles to the last Mission church going the opposite direction. Great play area for the kiddos and a nice pickleball court. Lots of places to socialize with others. Huge community room with a stage, bar and dance floor. Nothing going on while we were here, but that would be so much fun. Great Mexican restaurant right across the street. Safe area, but apparently bicycle theft is a problem. We were in space 12 which backs up to the golf course. We will definitely be back.
Terri U — Google review
Possibly the nicest park I've ever stayed in. Delia sent a helpful email and was kind and efficient at check-in. Bathrooms are spectacular. And you can get right on the river path outside the gate. They offer a shed to store bikes but we just left ours locked on our RV rack overnight with no problem and

Mission City RV Park is a beautiful and spacious park in the heart of San Antonio, Texas with stunning views of the five Spanish colonial missions that have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With full hookups, free Wi-Fi, and many amenities for guests, this park is perfect for anyone looking to explore this historic part of Texas.
Stopped for 2 nights with our motorhome pulling a toad. Great pull through sites made it easy. Awesome clean dog run. Beautiful pool area and lounging areas and delightful decorative garden art . Everything very clean and well maintained. Bus stop at front gate made it easy to go straight to the Alamo and River Walk. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you 😊

We enjoyed our stay. Location perfect for visiting river walk and anything surrounding San Antonio. The office staff were extremely helpful. Bathrooms and showers and laundry room spacious and clean. An app or QR code helps you avoid having change to do laundry. Dryers were like home. Not horribly hot but one round of drying was perfect even for towels and jeans sited have nice pads and stoned with fun little things all around the camp to find as you walk. Enjoyed!!

I’m visiting from France on a road trip across the United States, and my stay at Mission City RV Park in San Antonio was truly one of the highlights so far. The campground is very clean, the RV sites are spacious and well laid out, and the whole atmosphere is calm, safe, and welcoming. I immediately felt comfortable and at home. What made this place truly special was the exceptional kindness of the staff. Everyone I met was friendly and helpful, and the owner is honestly one of the kindest people I’ve encountered since arriving in the U.S. — maybe even the kindest. You can feel that he genuinely cares about each guest and wants them to have a great stay. I left with a smile on my face and a real desire to come back one day. It’s the kind of place that leaves a warm memory in your journey. Highly recommended, especially if you’re traveling by RV and want a peaceful, friendly place to stay in San Antonio.
Couverture D — Google review
We booked to stay for a week and ended up staying for 2 weeks. This campground is very clean and beautifully maintained! Everyone is so friendly! Mr. Bill was happy to give us guidance in visiting the city. The laundry room, restrooms, showers and pool are very clean. The bus stop out front is very convenient. We had a great stay and highly recommend this park!
Karen C — Google review
Mission City RV is an absolute gem! It’s not just a park; it’s an experience. The location is fantastic—you’re right in the heart of San Antonio, close to everything. Now, let’s talk about the cleanliness. It’s outstanding! The park is well-maintained, and the staff is phenomenal. They go above and beyond to ensure your comfort. We’re a military family who waited eight long months for housing, and Mission City RV has been the best experience we’ve had. With over 26 years in the military, this park ranks #1 on our list.
Molly N — Google review
Mission City RV Park is a peaceful and well-kept spot that truly stands out in San Antonio. The staff is extremely nice and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The grounds are spotless, with thoughtful little touches that make the place feel cozy and cared for. The atmosphere is calm, and everyone is respectful, creating a relaxing environment. Guests love the convenient location, clean facilities, and perfect amenities. It’s a great place to stay whether you’re visiting for a few days or settling in for a longer trip.
Blackperlita — Google review
Excellent RV park. Very clean, great RV sites with concrete pads and a picnic table. The young lady who escorted me to my site was very helpful. The dog run is very spacious and well kept. The WiFi was more reliable than some of the other parks I have visited on my trip. The only downside is that there are indoor extension cords being used outdoors to power the fairy lights that are wrapped around some of the trees and poles. I don’t have a male dog, but if I did, he would probably get a real surprise if he decided to use that tree or pole as male dogs are wont to do. I didn’t use the bus to the River Walk, there’s a covered ride share/uber bench just outside of the security gate.
Michael L — Google review
We called ahead to reserve a site. We spoke with Tabitha. She's an excellent representative, very knowledgeable & pleasant. We had a rate of $45/night. It was their off peak time. This is a very clean, well managed campground! Gated 24 hrs with coded showers & bathrooms. I loved their picnic tables. The sites are smaller, but level with full 50/30amp hook ups & many pull thru sites. James 👍 is the after-hours contract and maintenance person. City bus #24 picks up & returns from Alamo area. Very convenient. $2.25 for an all-day pass. This is a very nice campground. Great place to stay. KOA is down the road, but it was much higher. It couldn't be any nicer.

Sun Outdoors San Antonio West is a great RV Resort perfect for those wanting to enjoy some relaxation in the Texas Hills. With their lagoon pool and outdoor games, this RV Park offers a luxury getaway as well as plenty of exciting amenities for those looking to stay active. The property is located only half a mile from SeaWorld San Antonio so there's no need to drive far to see all that this amazing city has to offer.
Nice clean rv park with mostly full time residents. Very quiet and great service staff. If you have a rig larger than 35’ it is very tight to maneuver along the roadways and luckily we left after everyone went to work on a work day so most of the cars parked along the roadways were gone for the day. There are also some low hanging limbs that are an issue with tall rigs. They do have them trimmed up but if you are 13 1/2’ tall as we are, it is very tricky. If the residents cars had not been gone for the work day, we would not have been able to get into or out of our spot with a 45’ rig. If you are smaller, it’s a great location and rv park for your visit.
Kristi B — Google review
Nice place. Park was clean. We stayed in the front of the park since we were just there a few days. Two nice large dog areas where they can be taken off the leash and run around. We did not use the pool since it was winter. They have propane on site for sale. Easy on and off the highway. We maneuvered a 42ft fifth wheel through the park. WiFi was not very good was our only con. Would stay again.
Bradley S — Google review
Close to sea word. Beautiful place very well maintained. They seem to keep the " transient " guests up front and the long term in the rear. Has a shuttle bus and will take you anywhere Sea World included. Staff very friendly. I highly recommend
Rene M — Google review
Can’t get a person on the phone. They use a separate booking service so if you want to call them and ask questions - tough. They do have a number to call though and I did call them and left a message, during business hours…never received a callback. Once we showed up (with our special needs kid that loves water) we found that both the pool and hot tub were out of order/not open. Would have been nice if they told us that…or answered the phone so we could have asked. Other than that, the staff are nice and the location is pretty nice too.
Stephen B — Google review
We were only scheduled to be there for 3 nights. Due to hydraulic issues we had to lengthen our stay. From the Start Norma an her staff worked with us. They provided us with a list of sites we could try in an effort to get our coach leveled just using boards. Even offered us some boards to help. They blocked off our site at no additional charge and let us extend our stay as needed. We were paying on a daily basis. Thank you Sun Outdoor. This was our 3rd time at this resort. They have always been friendly and helpful. One of the residents even recognized us in the laundry room from previous stays.
DeAnna M — Google review
Not sure how they have such high reviews for such low customer service. First of all if you plan on staying and you have a large RV, lots of trees, narrow driveways and low hanging branches. They didn't maintain tree trim and I damaged my new 140k RV pulling in. They did nothing for me and lied to try and justify themselves on not taking care of it. Absolutely no accountability, outhouse showers and bathrooms are not kept, always filthy. For a place that I was excited about fell short by alot. Management is poor with no thought to those they could create long lasting loyalty. A MINIMAL RESOLVE PREVENTED A FUTURE MAXIMUM RETURN. Do the math!!!!. So sad. Wish I could leave 0, be warned folks you will be happier somewhere else for price paid. Bring your own satellite internet service. The WIFI doesnt work. The cable channels are spotty with most of the channels fuzzy. Do not walk barefoot and be careful bringing shoes into your RV as there are tons of goathead thorns on the ground here. What a shame. Also as a top 10% reviewer of San Antonio this will reach a lot. Thier response below should tell you everything you need to know. Why review the reviews for future guests when you can review and address now. It's like saying we will take care of it tomorrow. But tomorrow never comes. Shows lack of accountability.
J.R. — Google review
Good two weeks here. It’s mainly a long term park but clean and well kept and friendly residents. We met some great people who gave us good recommendations on places to explore in the area. Safe and quiet with a pool, and good access to local shops and highways to explore the hill country. Probably a bit expensive for what it was, but no complaints.

Stayed in a cabin this past weekend and it was very cute, clean and quiet! The pool area is fantastic and the hot tub was very clean. Many thanks to Norma and the rest of the staff!

We are so thankful for this place and wonderful people we encountered. We had a reservation that cancelled as we were driving in from the Dallas area thru a thunderstorm. We arrived after hours and they went above and beyond to accommodate us with little to no notice. Also helped us get the correct power cord we needed. These are the kind of people you need in your life. Thanks to everyone that helped us!

This is a wonderful RV park where we stayed for a weekend in our motorhome with our two dogs. We had a spot down near the river under some shade trees. It was very quiet except for the sound of an occasional train in the far distance. We chose this RV park because it has an enclosed dog park which is simple but adequate. We enjoyed the very beautiful trees down along the river, seeing wildlife, and the nice network of walking trails. Our stay was very peaceful, relaxing, and we will stay there again sometime.
Cheryl O — Google review
My husband and I just spent the weekend here with our 2 dogs. The manager was really awesome and gave us the perfect accommodation since we wanted to be secluded. Our dogs had a great time, and we saw quite a bit of wildlife! We definitely plan on coming back again
Stephanie M — Google review
My family and I stayed at this campsite this weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. They are tucked away from main roads and the nature view driving in is very nice. I put 5 stars under rooms even though they are sites. We stayed at site 96 for pop up campers and the layout was perfect. The river was right down the road. We were right by full bathrooms with showers and also the laundry room. Also right out our doors was a dog area for our 3 dogs and a playground for my daughter which they all loved. They also have a common house where you check in with coffee, games, and much more. There are permanent residents there but it’s so very quiet you wouldn’t know it. There were two wonderful little boys that played with my daughter at the park. The management are very welcoming and friendly and were also from Colorado which is where we were coming from. I definitely recommend anyone visiting the San Antonio area stay here. Was a great experience and we plan on returning in the future. Thank you very much for such a wonderful place to set up for a few days.
Kristina P — Google review
Camp sites are almost on top of each other with almost no buffers of trees & our site had no picnic table or fire ring, had to “borrow” AKA: drag the one from next door over to our site. The traffic police who easily went way over the posted 5 mph in his golf cart & was a bit of a jerk constantly telling us to slow down even at our 7 mph. The front gates were mostly chained shut for some reason & had to use the key pad back entrance we thought it was kinda a strange thing..
SHEILA H — Google review
There is wildlife everywhere! My fam spent a couple safe and quiet nights here. Owners were amazing and accommodating. I'll most definitely be back next time we're in town!
Erin L — Google review
The worst park I've been to yet. Staff was very rude at my fault for going over 5 mph but min later the manager that had the problem was driving 10 to 15 mph himself. And I never seen one person drive the 5 mph. Nothing to do at this park. Dogs barking non stop if u plan on sitting outside. They has sewer problems the hole stay so smelled of sewer the hole time. Terrible park. Un professional staff.
Billy P — Google review
I stay there for two nights The people that runs the park are incompetent they lie to you I told the lady on the front desk that I have a 45' 5th wheel and I need a pull tru,she assigned me spot 209 wich is a back in only good for a 25 ' .I came at knight very dark and in the process I hit a low hanging tree. When I did that the lady came out of her camper and started yelling at me. For the two knights I stayed there nobody park ln the pull tru empty spaces. I called the people in charge and I got a very roud lady who didn't let me speak and told me it was my folt. There are no signs that said low trees. My damage to my camper is 3000$ If you don't want to be treated like garbage DON'T go there Response to the owner ; when i coaled I specified that I wanted a spot close to the showers on top because I have a 45 ' fifth wheel and I could fit up there . Wen i was there in march 24 there was only one camper in 210 . I guess management change and the women in the office don't have a clue where to pout campers If you are the real owner you can Coll me and i can explain way i think people that run your camp are lying to you

The San Antonio River Walk is a picturesque network of pathways, bridges, and lush greenery that winds through the city. It offers a chance to enjoy natural scenery and city views while providing access to top attractions, restaurants, hotels, and entertainment options. The pathway runs along the San Antonio River and includes The Museum Reach section with art installations and pedestrian access to cultural sites. This iconic tourist attraction features peaceful stretches as well as lively areas with dining, shopping, and live music.
The San Antonio River Walk is absolutely magical! Strolling along the river feels like stepping into a whole new world—beautifully lit walkways, charming bridges, and the peaceful sound of the water flowing beside you. We loved how clean and well-maintained everything was, and the landscaping with flowers and greenery made the whole experience even more scenic. There’s something for everyone here: fantastic restaurants with outdoor patios right on the water, plenty of shops and local artists, and so many great spots for photos—especially at sunset when the lights start to glow along the river. We took one of the boat tours, which gave us a fun and relaxing way to learn about the history of the area. It’s lively but still feels safe and welcoming, whether you’re out during the day or enjoying the nightlife in the evening. The River Walk is a must-see destination if you’re visiting San Antonio, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Must-do on a visit to San Antonio, particularly in or around Downtown. We came and stayed near the river on part of a short San Antonio-Austin trip and had a blast. The River Walk feels what we can only compare to as Vegas and Disney but cleaner. It's touristy but fun and beautiful. We visited during the week in early Fall, which was a great time. Impressed with how clean the walk is - lots of young people, families and local business people out and about. The boat tour was a lot of fun as well. We happened to be here during air force boot camp graduation, and it was so nice to see a lot of families out and about and celebrating.

The river walk is absolutely romantic, beautiful and a must see if you're near the area. I couldn't believe I was still in Texas because I felt like I was transported to Spain or Italy. I highly recommend dining in one of the restaurants next to the river, it's so good for the soul.

A really unique place to visit. A city within a city! Below the bustling streets of San Antonio lies the River Walk, surrounded by hotels, restaurants, and bars. Wander around with drink in hand and visit numerous establishments offering great food and drink. Also gives the opportunity to hop on a boat for a river cruise.

I highly recommend to visit during the Day of the Dead celebrations during the weekend. A lot of free activities that can be enjoyed with kids, family or friends. Also dressed up as Catrina and have an awesome time taking pictures with the public 😊 is a total experience that you will never forget 🤩

San Antonio River Walk Review – A Magical Family Destination specially at night. The San Antonio River Walk is a truly enchanting spot that blends natural beauty, vibrant culture, and family-friendly fun. Strolling along the winding river paths feels like stepping into a storybook—especially during the holidays, when twinkling lights and festive decor transform the area into a magical wonderland. Christmas time is particularly breathtaking, though it does draw large crowds. One of the highlights is the scenic boat ride, offering a relaxing way to take in the architecture, bridges, and lively atmosphere. Lining the river are countless restaurants, from casual bites to upscale dining, making it easy to find something delicious for every taste. Horse-drawn carriage rides add a romantic or whimsical touch, perfect for couples or kids who love a bit of old-world charm. That said, weekends and holidays can get quite crowded. Navigating with a stroller is tricky, especially near staircases and narrow walkways. While the roads beside the River Walk are wide and designed to handle foot traffic, the sheer volume of visitors during peak times can make movement slow and a bit overwhelming. Despite these challenges, the River Walk remains a must-visit destination. Whether you're exploring with family, enjoying a date night, or simply soaking in the ambiance, it offers a unique blend of relaxation and excitement. Just plan ahead if you're bringing little ones or visiting during busy seasons—and prepare to be charmed.
Quazi S — Google review
I came here on a solo mission to see what the Riverwalk was about. This was a 15 minute Uber from Westover Hills and once I arrived the place was packed. There was a day of the dead celebration going on. People were dressed up in costumes and watching the water parade which I've never seen before. I was immediately immersed in the culture of the town, music and style of San Antonio's riverwalk. The art is so beautiful and the costumes are fun. The riverwalk was too tight for my liking on a busy night. For a nicely paced day, I would suggest going on a non-holiday or during the day. There's tons of different styles of restaurants and shops to choose from in an around the riverwalk. I came back another day with my elder family members during the day and it was less crowded. We took the boat ride which was about 30m in total. That was a nice touch to get a lay of the land without having to do all the walking during the heat. Bring your good walking shoes and have the elders take sitting breaks. I can see this being a hot spot for 21 year old's up to late 50's if your up to all the moving around and going out for dining experiences.

The Alamo, situated in downtown San Antonio, is a significant historical complex and a must-visit for over 2.5 million annual tourists. This iconic site played a pivotal role in Texan history, witnessing events from Spanish colonization to the Texas Revolution. The fortress holds great significance as it was where a small group of Texans valiantly defended against General Santa Anna's forces for thirteen days. Today, it stands as a symbol of courage and sacrifice for liberty.
Had a great visit. The folks here are really passionate about the Alamo, and it shows in everything they do. If you enjoy historical sites you can really appreciate the way everything is presented, displayed and maintained. There is so much to see, read and interact with, they truly did a spectacular job. It is worth booking in advance for the church and the museum. Also plan a day or half day to look at everything, stroll through the gardens and have lunch or dinner nearby. Plenty of restaurants and additional attractions.

An amazing historic site in the middle of San Antonio. Seems like they are restoring more buildings of the site that wee present at various times. Very good audio visual content available even with the free ticket. The surrounding plaza with various shops, restaurants, activities, and a mall is quite nice.
David M — Google review
As others warned me before my visit - it's smaller than you expect. I feel like I need to do the same PSA because that lowering of expectation allowed me to enjoy the whole experience more lol. The queue for the only remaining structure - the church is crazy long, I stepped out and just explored the rest of the area instead. I liked the Phil Collins voiceover of the sequence of events over the diorama which helped me visualize and imagine how crazy the whole thing was.

I visited the Alamo in San Antonio and really enjoyed learning about the history behind this important landmark. The museum is fascinating, and I especially liked seeing the old guns and historic artifacts that help tell the story. The original building and the church area where people once hid felt very peaceful and almost holy, like stepping back in time. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for, and the displays make it easy to understand what happened here. Definitely worth the visit!

Alright, Texas travelers, I recently made a return trip to the Alamo, and I have to tell y'all, if you haven't been in the last few years, you are missing out! The Alamo Plan is seriously underway, and during my recent visit, it felt like such a new space to explore. The effort to restore dignity and reverence to the site is profound. I was particularly struck by the new features that help you truly understand the scale of the 1836 battlefield—seeing the Palisade Exhibit and the Mission Gate and Lunette helped me picture the historic footprint like never before. Plus, the incredible Alamo Exhibit at the Ralston Family Collections Center is now open! It’s the first new construction since the 1950s and houses all the artifacts (including the Phil Collins Collection) under one roof. Walking through the Plaza, with the section of Alamo Street now closed to cars, creates such a quiet, respectful atmosphere that lets the history speak for itself. If you visited the Alamo years ago, I strongly encourage you to come and re-explore this new space! It’s a transformative, emotional, and educational experience that honors the heart of Texas history in a way that feels fresh and vital. From Texas with ❤️ -april

Remember The Alamo! The Alamo is central to understanding the story and identity of San Antonio and Texas. We experienced the "Victory or Death” audio tour which covers the site's 300-year history, from its origin as a Spanish mission to the 1836 Battle of the Alamo. The audio tour guides us through the Alamo Church, across the grounds, and includes other stops. The tour is available in multiple languages. The Alamo features both original cannons and historically accurate replicas that were used in the battle of 1836. A fully operational, fireable model of the 18-pounder cannon is among the most remarkable. We also witnessed the musket firing which is a 15-minute demonstration given by the Alamo Living History staff that includes a live firing from a flintlock firearm, the same kind of weapon used during the 1836 Battle. The gift shop has unique souvenir collections. This historic site is well-preserved and has sufficient information to understand the Texas revolution. We spent an entire day to explore this amazing piece of history.

Awesome!!!!! This historic site offers a glimpse into Texas history, with well-preserved masonry and informative plaques. The entrance is free of charge but you can pay for a self guided tour or a guided tour. Also they have a variety of souvenirs in the gift shop. Once you visit the Alamo you can take a short walk to the River Walk. Tip: visit during the Day of the Dead Celebration and experience a city full of color, music, food, drinks and a lot of happy visitors enjoying the free activities during the day or night.

The Alamo is a wonderful place to visit, but it lacks having handicap doors. The doors are very heavy and with my husband in a wheelchair, we could not get into several places without a struggle, this includes the restroom. The older generation visits the Alamo very frequently and it would be extremely helpful to have staff on hand to assist with doors.

Guests can enjoy up-close interactions with dolphins, penguins, orcas, sea turtles, and reef fish while learning about marine conservation. Thrill seekers can experience exhilarating coasters like the Tidal Surge and Texas Stingray.
Hadn’t been here since I was a kid myself. Our family had a wonderful time here. The food is great with more than enough portions. It’s very well kept up and clean. Our family loved the parade and water show at the end of the day. Very nice touch. We ends up getting the meal plan which was a better option for a family of four. Otherwise, be prepared to spend some money on every meal which can add up quickly. The disappointment of our day was that two of the rides seemed to be closed and they did not know when they would open again. But there was plenty to see and shows to watch throughout the day. Definitely more than what I remembered it being when I was a kid. We ended up purchasing season tickets as we will return soon.

Our nieces and nephew had a great time. They really enjoyed seeing the dolphins and the killer whales. The rides were fun but it seemed like the turn around for getting the rides moving tool longer than necessary. The haunted house mazes were very fun and we were glad that we didn't have to pay extra for that.
Ken S — Google review
Don’t buy the all day dine in online. They made me buy it again in person so I ended up paying twice! Still haven’t figured out how to get my refund for this double payment. They put the shows at the same time so you can only watch one and don’t have time to see the other. Don’t buy the refill cups and the all day dine in because you get drinks with the all day dine in anyways. I liked the Orcas and the giant sea turtles. I didn’t have time to see the rest. Might be worth for your kids to do the experiences to meet up close with animals. They had the Halloween theme going on. The professional photos they take at the entrance and other spots don’t show up on the QR code unless you visit some office at the park which is lame! Also they are gone the next day so you can only get the photos the day of the visit. This makes no sense. You get once a year free entry for Military families.

It's a beautiful park, and the animals are well cared for. Howl-o-Scream is really nice too. I wish there was more time during that event and that the food options were open later so that we could actually take advantage of the All Day Dining deal. Drinks were yummy and I loved the blood bags and jello shots.

Glad I got the quick queue pass but not the all you can eat cause not one place was good chicken was mush beef was rubbery everywhere we went. But everything else was fine and dandy. Good waterproof walking shoes sunblock are gonna be needed. They were issuing reentry bracelets i noticed so next time I'm packing an ice chests with treats and sandwiches cause mine are better than the food here.

I absolutely loved the shows and I loved the haunted houses. The waits are kind of long. Don't recommend standing around if your heavily pregnant like me. But I suffered and managed lol because I wanted to enjoy as much as I could before our baby arrives. Nobody touches you very safe. Haunted houses not recommended for children or babies obviously. Safe enjoyable and fun for all. The shows were amazing.

Pretty fun experience! We really enjoyed our visit. We got the food deal to get something to eat and drink every 90 minutes as we wandered the park and tried half the restaurants along the way at no extra cost. Definitely worth an all day or two day trip, we hit most of the attractions and a few rides and would definitely plan a second day next time! Kids loved the splash pad and water river ride thing.
Sophia K — Google review
SeaWorld is a shell of what it used to be. I understand that things change due to safety concerns or to help the animals, but the shows are not funny. You still get a wow, just because you are not seeing animals like this at any other location. I grew up going to San Antonio SeaWorld, and it just makes me wish I were a child again, watching and cherishing those shows and memories. Is the place worth going for free? Yes. However, I don't think I will reach too deep in my pockets to go here.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a part of a popular amusement park chain and offers an array of attractions for visitors. The park is situated within 100-foot-tall quarry walls and showcases five themed sectors that highlight the diverse culture of Texas. It features nine thrilling roller coasters, including the largest steel coaster in Texas, Superman: Krypton Coaster, and the Goliath, a suspended looping coaster reaching speeds of 50 mph.
Six Flags San Antonio was an unforgettable experience! I had such a great time — the rides were thrilling, the atmosphere electric, and the Halloween vibes made everything even more special. The decorations, music, and costumed performers really brought the park to life. It’s the perfect mix of fun and excitement, and I loved how unique the whole experience felt. Definitely a must-visit if you’re ever in San Antonio!

Went during fright fest 2025 had a great time. They replaced the restraints on wonder woman which were an improvement. The new restraints dont dig into your shoulders or cause discomfort. The theming of the coasters has been improving recently and the park was really clean especially considering it was a weekend. Would recommend getting there early if you want to get rides on a specific coaster. The haunted attractions were also well done. I would recommend going with a day pass if you don't plan on visiting more than twice a month. They also offer military discounts for active duty and veterans on their day passes. Current pricing on their website for a day pass is 50.33 usd for slower days i.e weekday. Pricing goes up from there if you are a Rollercoaster enthusiast or fan of theme parks I would recommend getting their season pass since it will give you entry into the other parks in the chain.

I want to say it's not a bad theme park to visit;however, if you are frugal and like to be on the cheap side not a place to go. I've been here several times with relatives but I do not enjoy the long lines, crowds and parking. During this time there has been highway closures and construction that traffic is beyond laughable. It can be a 30 minute wait or even 45 min to leave the parking lot. I parked in the General area just to give you an idea of my headache. Personally, it would be better to fly in with a drone and get dropped off. Now, they have VIP tickets or so they promote but you still ha e to wait in line and I just see it as another gimmick. Anyways, I don't want to be a party pooper here but it's another place to visit if you've never been. Just make sure you Bring your wallet full of $$ or credit cards and good walking shoes. There is alot of walking involved and waiting in line so be prepared. Prices are way up high but just remeber where you are.

Good spot for the family. We are season pass holders so we get to see it throughout the year. Best time to go is for Halloween and Christmas. We try the various food options (they do mix things up) so it keeps us happy.

We went on Halloween night. It was actually fun. It was not too crazy crowded. Everyone was enjoying the atmosphere. I recommend to get a membership with some add on. You actually find yourself using all what was purchased in one night. Pretty much, planning to go to the holiday one as well.

The rides are very thrilling and fun but they do have some moderate level ones for kids. The fright fest was a great time to go and the decor and atmosphere matched the park theme. The 4 star is because my friends had season passes but they did not apply to this location apparently.

We went last Sunday and had a great time. Very fun , I’m just going to add that they should have maximum supervision in the recreation machine because I saw a lot of young people, they still looked in adolescence, I don’t know how prepared and experts they are in machining these recreational machines but it causes me curiosity and fear, the last machine we wanted to get on was on the SkyScreamer flying chairs around 9:00 pm, after being about 20 minutes waiting in line, the young who were operating the machine said us that they got a technical issues, we got scared and went to the music show. The haunted house is really nice, the decoration, the details and the characters were fantastic, I really had a lot of fun, I have to congratulate the workers, they did a good job, the witches scared me a lot and the characters surprised me between scares and laughter, my favorite part of the park, I am delighted to see the park for the first time on Halloween 👻 🎃 season.

The San Antonio Museum of Art, located in the former Lone Star Brewery, offers a diverse range of collections including Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Latin American and contemporary art. The museum features exhibits spanning over 5,000 years of history and culture from various civilizations. It is known for its comprehensive collection of art in the southern United States. The facility also houses contemporary galleries showcasing works by renowned artists as well as local Texans.
What a beautiful place! My husband and I came here on a Tuesday afternoon. We got tickets for one of their two times for Bexar county residents to come free, which I would recommend if you are also a resident. I want to note here that the parking lot beside the museum is a paid lot. It was about $8 for a four-hour slot when we came, which was plenty of time to get through the whole building. It took us about two and a half hours to go through all of the sections, and we enjoyed every bit of it! It took us about two and a half hours to go through all of the sections, but we enjoyed every bit of it! The pieces at the museum are very well curated and displayed, and each section is distinct in its specific period and art style. I took a few photos of some of my favorite pieces. It was so fascinating to see art from thousands of years ago all the way up to the present! We talked about the art the entire ride home. If you’re looking for a beautiful way to spend part of your day, look no further than this spot!

The San Antonio Museum of Art is a wonderful place to spend a few hours (maybe half a day). The collection is diverse, with art from all over the world and different time periods. The layout makes it easy to explore and appreciate each section at a comfortable pace. I enjoyed seeing both the ancient pieces and the more modern works. The building itself is beautiful and adds to the experience. It is a great spot for anyone who enjoys art and culture.

I had a fantastic time at this Museum! I loved sitting and reading the plaques that had exposition and backstory on the item it was attached to. I kept finding more interesting things to sit and research briefly on a bench provided. I easilly spent 3 hours there and honestly wanted to stay longer, but my paid parking was running out of time. I came 5 years ago and it was amazing, and it was just as cool this time around, even seeing some of the same artifacts. I'd easily go back to view the things I had to rush past! I wont post too many photos because I dont want to spoil the fun of discovery... You should truly go see for yourself!

There’s so much to see. So much to sit with and take in. I will be back to see the exhibits I didn’t get to see. The wealth of information is extensive. Make sure you wear the proper shoes because there’s lots of ground to cover. Thankfully, the museum has many places for you to sit and take a break or simple mull over the art work right in front of you. If you want to start with American History, take a right as you walk in. If you want to start with Ancient Greece and or Eastern Civilization, take a left. You’ll also find African American History to your right as well. The museum has four floors on either side. If you don’t mind walking, take the stairs. If not, hop on the glass elevator which allows you to view the exhibits while taking a ride. The exhibits are well diverse and rich with history. You’ll thoroughly enjoy yourself if you’re a history buff like me. I’m always amazed to see how far we’ve come and in turn, appreciate the many contributions our ancestors made. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

A cool place to visit on a hot summer day. It houses collections from ancient Egypt to China, as well as some contemporary art. The place is not crowded, and you can come with a city pass. It’s close to the river walk, providing a quiet and relaxing experience.

My husband and I absolutely loved this museum. I personally enjoy studying paintings, and my husband is obsessed with Greek and Roman history. We visited on a Thursday after my brother graduated boot camp, and it was the perfect place to relax in the AC and take in the beautiful pieces the museum has on display. The museum is a lot bigger than we thought, and is 4 stories high. There are 2 elevators on either sides on the museum. We didn't have enough time to check out floor 3 or 4, but we'd definitely come back if we find ourselves in San Antonio again. We bought our tickets through CityPass, so checking in was fast and easy.

Best art museum I've been to in Texas. They have extensive and varied collections from around the world. It's an actual museum of all forms of art, not just a glorified art gallery. I was there for four and half hours and had to rush through the end because they were closing. Would definitely do it again. I do wish they were open a little longer on the weekends.

We visited the museum for the free family day event. Even when there were several activities for kids, it was geared more for ages 5 and up... I'd suggest for the next family day to have more activities the little can enjoy rough touching. The museum per se it wonderful, my kids loved to see all the paintings and artifacts.

This KOA campground is perfect for a family holiday in San Antonio. It has an 8-mile bicycle trail, a pool open all year round, and 50 amp max electric hookups.
I cannot say enough great things about this campground! The proximity to San Antonio sites like the Alamo and the River Walk made it very convenient. But the best part was definitely Alyssa and all of the fun activities she had planned for the kids! Our kids participated in a pie-eating competition, patriotic BINGO, and water kickball. All of the events were so much fun! Alyssa does an amazing job getting the kids excited and involved, and she’s great at remembering their names! Our children definitely made memories that will last a lifetime!

One of the best KOA campgrounds we have stayed at. Place was very well maintained, secure and staff was very friendly and helpful with questions. Restrooms and bath houses were always clean and thankfully really good air conditioning given it was in the 90's during our stay. Would highly recommend staying here if you want to visit San Antonio.

Such an amazing experience! The staff is the nicest you’ll find! So helpful and so accommodating! We had a problem with some squirrels throwing nutshells on our roof at night which scared the dog🤣 but they didn’t even bark at us about wanting to move. They simply moved our site for us and it was greatly appreciated! They also gave us great advice on how to get into town via the bus or uber. It was one of our best experiences at a campground

Beautiful campground in the heart of San Antonio. Friendly and helpful staff. Well stocked and inviting camp store. Clean and up to date bathrooms. Great swimming pool! Hosts offer activities for the campers. Campsite was level, lots of trees and good shade, sites are well spaced. Good power and water.

This KOA was perfect for my family of four (2 adults and 2 dogs!). We arrived a little late, but the guard at the entrance was very helpful in guiding us to our lot. The campground is quite large, with plenty of trees and shade throughout. The pool was clean, the bathrooms and showers even had AC, and there was a fun common area with table tennis and foosball. There’s also a walking trail nearby, which was super convenient. We stayed here while attending a concert at the Alamodome — it was only about a 15-minute drive, which made it very easy. I also worked remotely on Friday and found the Wi-Fi reliable, though it was a bit spotty on Saturday when the campground got busier. Overall, we had a great experience and can’t wait to come back!

We LOVED our stay at the San Antonio KOA! The weather was cold, but the friendly staff, amazing activities and warm facilities puts this KOA at the top of our list. We visited in February during a rain storm but that did not stop the fun from happening everyday. We loved the karaoke, music bingo, hot chocolate and cookies, puzzles in the rec room, ice cream making and the park. We have been on a 6 month cross country adventure and visited over 20 KOA's and this one is SUPER pro, great vibes, and very fun. Highly recommend!

This campsite is phenomenal and is so beautiful and very beautiful and clean and well maintained. Great location downtown San Antonio is less than 10 minutes away plenty of restaurants nearby which is another great location. But in my opinion above all everything the staff are all great and friendly and always willing to help out in any situation. I would like to also mention that the office staff by the name of Jesse was very great and always willing to help in anyway he could my family I’m sure asked him a million questions and recommendations for restaurants and historic things to and even places with ghost stories or experiences and he nailed everything that he suggested for us to. And another thing that he deserves a pat on the back is that he’s bilingual ( English and Spanish ) kudos Jose good job KOA for having him the only reason why I say good job KOA is because I noticed that his name tag had said Training underneath his name.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin, and loved it! We needed to be close to the Frost Bank Center, but only needed to stay for 1 day. From my understanding, they have a 2-day minimum, but they allowed us to stay 1 night. We played games at their event center, rented quadricycles, went swimming, and walked the adjacent hike and bike trail. We had a blast for only staying 1 night. They also have a little cute store. We purchased a toy and sunblock from there. The cabin was adorable and had everything we needed. We had a porch facing the pond. We also had a table to eat inside and outside of the cabin. There was a small pit and additional seating outside. The room included linens, a refrigerator, dish soap, a sponge, a TV, and a microwave. I loved that it was gated and they had security on site. He was great. He stopped me when I arrived to inquire about my presence on the property. Although there wasn't a security guard or employee available after hours or during the early morning. That made checkout a bit difficult since you are given a cabin key versus a key card. No biggie. I left the key in the cabin and contacted them when they opened it to let them know. They were kind about my decision. I failed to mention KOA/SA allowed us to check in early. They were so accommodating. That evening they had margaritas and chips and salsa at the pool. The following day they offered painting ornaments for their Christmas in July theme. They have events to keep you entertained along with a park and grill. The only con which wasn't a terrible con was that the shower water was cold. It worked fine for us since it was hot out, but that wouldn't be too great for the winter. I highly recommend you stay for a fun "outdoor" getaway that is near San Antonio's attractions.

Braunig Lake RV Resort is a well-liked destination near San Antonio, Texas. With its 30/50-amp sites and cabins, visitors can enjoy a comfortable stay. The resort also offers amenities such as a pool, fishing lake, and horseshoe courts. Located just outside of the city, it has become popular among residents and tourists interested in water sports, fishing, and observing nature. Braunig Lake is particularly favored by fishing enthusiasts due to its freshwater redfish population.
Very nice RV park. Clean and quiet. The space are a little tight but comfortable and affordable. The staff are nice. The wifi sucks but that the same for every RV park. We will be back the next time we are in San Antonio.

I moved to San Antonio almost a year ago. My intention was to live full time in my RV. My plan was to try out different RV parks before I settled on the one I wanted to live. Braunig Lake was the first I chose to try out. After the first month, I decided why keep looking? This is a great place. It is clean, peaceful, and quiet. The management and office staff are a pleasure to deal with. Their maintenance and ground crews are always visible, keeping up with the upkeep and cleanliness of the grounds. The office staff accept and safeguard my Amazon packages. Pretty much the only time I interact with management is when I pick up my packages (that's a good thing). Can't recommend this place enough. Great place to live.

Overall a good place but the stickers in the grass are awful! Also, the spots are so unlevel that some motorhomes are off their tires. But the part that’s really annoying is the spots are so close, your neighbors slides are ontop of your picnic tables :(. Very nice staff though!

We spent two nights here (end of august) on our way to South Texas. I failed to make a reservation (using Passport America), but the staff were very kind and accommodating. Our pull thru site was close to the office and fit our truck, 43' 5th wheel (unhooked), with my wife's small SUV behind it. I'm assuming this time of year is low season for them although there appeared to be quite a few long term residents. Don't expect much from the WiFi. We received cable channels for approximately 3 hours at the start of our stay, but it was pretty much non-existent the rest of our stay. Not sure if it was our antenna, but we were only able to get one channel. The park is obviously dated, but it appeared to be pretty well kept. My wife used the pool and she said it was nice. This is a great place to pull off the highway that is close. With that said, the highway noise isn't too bad, but be aware there are train tracks in the area. I would be willing to stop here again. Not a huge TV watcher, but when it's piping hot outside, some cable channels would be nice and I hope they have that figured out.

Folks are friendly. Plenty of places to walk the dog, clean too. Near the highway. Two gas stations within a block. Two Mexican places across the street and about six more within 4 miles. Quiet. Safe. AAA and AARP discounts. Church on site Sundays. My most favorite amenity so far is the trash pick up! Tony is awesome! There are bins throughout for daily trash collection and they pick up several times throughout the day. You can also take larger trash to the dumpsters yourself at the front of the property. The lawn care is kept up as is the maintenance. Their pool is always clean, their Jacuzzi even cleaner. So many turtles to watch when at the pool area. It edges to the pond and at night they will come up to you at the pool fence. It's adorable. Front office ladies are all nice, everyone's sweet here. No drama and crazy like the previous place. No loud drunks racing their golf carts over speed bumps in front of your place at 1130pm. That was annoying and unsafe. This place is so quiet and peaceful. Love staying here. They rent cabins as well for those not wanting to go to a motel or Airbnb. Horseshoe tournaments. They also hold private events at the ballroom and have garage sales! Hoping to be there for the next one! Laundry on site, two locations on each side of the pond. Bathroom facilities next to both laundry areas. Picnic tables by the water if you don't wanna eat at home. Free Wi-Fi & free cable TV. Free water. Pay electric if doing month to month. Pets allowed with restrictions, of course. Ducks everywhere. All hours. Whooping cranes and blue herons in late spring. No grackles!! There's also a gym open until 8pm. For what; there's fresh air and like 15 beautiful blocks to walk around!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The check in process was smooth, the staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and showers also. We were conveniently located next to the laundry room which came in handy because we had many loads of dirty laundry from the festival we just attended. There were turtles to feed in the lake. You can buy food at the store for 1 dollar. That was a highlight for us! We had so much fun. There was a taco truck within walking distance and Tom's burgers near by as well. Try their fries! Goodbye Braunig Lake Resort. Forever a special place in my heart.

The Hidden Valley RV Park is a great place to stay if you're looking for a quiet country atmosphere with plenty of space to enjoy your own backyard or patio. With Wi-Fi and some well-maintained facilities, this RV park is perfect for anyone looking to get away from it all for a little while.
We stayed here the month of November 2024. We travel full-time in our 5th-wheel. The park is located with easy access to major roads and highways, but while at the campground, it's quiet and relaxing. It is a basic campground but does have a laundry room and clean bathrooms and showers. The park staff is super friendly.

Quiet, peaceful & beautiful park. We did not need WiFi service so we were given a spot in the back of the park along the Medina River. We loved it! Definitely be going back when we visit San Antonio!

Teri was the best host, she had lots of great information to pass on about the park and the area! The park is well kept, we were in space 1 and we looked out into the grassy area, there was a lot of room from the spot on the other side. No one was in the tent area so I was able to walk my dog back there and the creek was very close! The restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms were clean and updated and open 24 hours. Each restroom and shower was in private room with a lock. It was only 15-25 minutes into San Antonio, we would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I greatly enjoyed this gem. So nice to be in the middle of nowhere and yet so close to anything you wish to do in the San Antonio area. The hosts were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The grounds were immaculate. The community was friendly. Big rigs with HDTs are not a problem.

We stayed at this park in January of this year and found it very pleasant. We stayed in the hallows down by the river and liked that very much; less crowded and lots of room for our dog to sniff around. Laundry room was nice; 5 washers and driers, coin op. but little folding room. We were fairly close to the main sites in San Antonio (20 minutes or so), and the "Missions" were about 15 minutes away, different direction. ** Bonus: Visit Benjamins restaurant, just about 3 blocks as you exit to the right. It is to die for and very reasonable prices, * We ate there every day (Puffy tacos and enchiladas). Thank you for a great stay. The Traveling "T's"

Hidden Valley was my home until my job took me elsewhere. The environment, the nature, & the people are wonderful. It’s like an extension of family. Ms. Teri adds a special touch whether it be Saturday morning gatherings at the outpost, or bonfire activities on a Saturday night. Folks look after one another & it’s so peaceful. Added a few pictures from my time there.

Nestled in San Antonio, Texas, Tejas Valley RV Park offers a serene escape with easy access to urban attractions. The park has undergone renovations under new ownership, enhancing facilities like the bathrooms, clubhouse, and game room. Guests can also find a well-stocked store on-site for their convenience.
I've stayed here many times over the past few years and it's always a good experience. It's peaceful and quiet, with full hookups and sites for rigs of every size. Cindy and the other ladies are always very accommodating, helpful, professionally friendly, and polite. It's very easy to receive packages here. Office, showers, restrooms, and laundry rooms are always clean and well-stocked with supplies. Sam and the other gentlemen on the grounds are also very helpful and friendly.

The pool was not open when we were there, due to maintenance problems. There are small cottages in the back and they are all run down with shingles missing and shades on the window broken. It gives the park a shabby appearance. The manager was very friendly. I used the clubhouse room to practice my flute and had privacy for that. The laundry area seems nice.

The new management came out and talked to me about my EX HUSBAND about how HIM breaking their 5mph rule would affect MY LIVING space. Unacceptable. I have had no problems living here. Old management wasn’t perfect but they cared a lot. Edit to respond to business: it would be more appropriate to say that visiting violations would result in having to park at the office and have to walk down… as opposed to threatening the people who you are literally doing business with. I am a long term resident here and it is absolutely misogynistic to say that my lease will be affected by someone else’s (my ex husband) actions. That makes me feel threatened and not at all happy to have my kids and family here. Edit again: They issued an eviction notice even though I spoke with my ex husband about him breaking the rules. They could have issued a trespassing notice or even called the police to report him speeding… but instead what to not do business with me. I can’t help but wonder what’s actually going on here because it seems like several people have been mysteriously evicted and their possessions taken. Stay away unless you want to risk losing your property! I have given them several advices on how to improve their business ~ suggesting a house warming gift (chips & queso) and adding the domestic violence, human trafficking, and suicide hotline numbers in their bathrooms. I am prepared to sue for discrimination even though I know it’s not the owners fault but the management. Just be careful especially if you are trying to rebuild your life here. For the record, my ex husband exploited me as a child, and I was coerced into a marriage with him. It’s not right to be kicked out for something I didn’t do. Now they are saying I’m speeding. They have no speed limit & I have only had one ticket in my life, when I was 19 which was 8 years ago. I understand they don’t want to be part of “my drama” but it isn’t drama, I am a victim of crime and they want to play games with me… pretending to care about hospitality but really only caring about their own personal gain. Even the neighbors have noticed the odd behavior of my ex husband. Yet I’m punished for it.

San Fernando Cathedral, a historic church dating back to 1738, holds significant cultural and historical importance in San Antonio. The cathedral's impressive architecture reflects the city's diverse heritage, influenced by Spanish colonists, indigenous communities, and European immigrants. Visiting this landmark provides an opportunity to deeply connect with San Antonio's rich history and make your trip more meaningful.
This lovely Cathedral is located a short easy from the Alamo in San Antonio. Some of the heteros were entombed here after being buried under an altar for a number years. There is a great gift shop on the grounds, loads of historical markers and an outside area in the front with seats where events are held. I highly recommend this site.

San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio is absolutely breathtaking. Its gorgeous Gothic style architecture makes it one of the most stunning and historic landmarks in the city. The intricate details, stained glass windows, and majestic altar create a deeply reverent and awe-inspiring atmosphere. Whether you’re attending Mass, praying quietly, or simply visiting, the beauty and peace of this sacred place leave a lasting impression. A must-see for anyone visiting San Antonio—spiritually uplifting and architecturally magnificent.

This is a very beautiful cathedral that is also historically famous. I heard that there's a beautiful projector show in front of the cathedral every evening at 9 PM, but I haven't been able to see it yet. On weekends, there are about four Masses; the 8 AM Mass is in Spanish and the 10 AM Mass is in English. Since the interior is actually quite small, I recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early. For parking, you can use the parking garage directly behind the cathedral. It's free on Sundays from 7 AM to 7 PM.

I went here for a 24 minute video art projection at 9 p.m. It was wonderful. Beautiful storytelling captured on the facade of the San Fernando Cathedral. I had read that you need to get there early to find a seat but I arrived only 10 minutes early and there was still plenty of seats left. The show started promptly at 9 p.m. I highly recommend this free showing of colorful depictions of San Antonio's developments, history, and battles. (Note: there is a donation box station to the right of the grounds in front of the church).

Located in downtown San Antonio! We heard about the evening show that is played against the backdrop of the cathedral front after dark while on the river boat ride. The story of San Antonio's history. There are plenty of seats in front or bring your own. You have to find parking in one of the public parking lots for a fee. There is a snack shop on the grounds that sells some street food, snacks, sodas, and wine and really good beer! The public bathroom closes just before the first show starts. There is a 9pm and 9:30pm show. I recommend this event. This was a Friday night but I think it occurs other nights of the week as well. I really enjoyed this with my out of town guests. It is free to the public. The snack bar isn't but wasn't crazy expensive either and very friendly. Say hello to True!

This is a must see location. Every evening at 9 PM there is a light show and you can seat across the street and enjoy the presentation. Take a bottle of wine.

Zoos & Aquariums
San Antonio Zoo is a sprawling 56-acre zoo located in an old limestone quarry on St Marys Street. It's home to over 9,000 animals from 779 species, including alligators and zebras. The zoo was one of the first in the country to be cageless, offering visitors a unique experience.
I absolutely adore this place and am so thrilled we have it right here in San Antonio! The animals are so well cared for, which is fantastic. I especially love the abundance of trees for shade and the “cool zones” where you can cool off under misting or an outdoor air conditioner. I wouldn’t splurge on the food here since it’s a bit pricey, so definitely come feed and walk it out! My husband and I snagged the yearly ticket. You can even enter for free after paying the one-time fee! It takes about an hour and 39 minutes to see the whole park, which is a great workout. You won’t even realize how many steps you’ve taken until you’re done! I’m also super excited because they might be adding gorillas this fall 2025! How cool is that?
David M — Google review
The San Antonio Zoo was pretty good and I liked how kid friendly it was. I feel that (especially in the summer time) the zoo could've been more abundantly staffed and you could tell how understaffed they were at certain parts of the park. I must say that we definitely underestimated the San Antonio sun the day we went (Temperatures reached 110°F 🥵🥵) and the heat I'm sure had a lot to do with a good amount of the animal exhibits being empty. I want to commend the Zoo on their butterfly exhibit because it was a highlight of our park experience and I love the conservation efforts and how well they protect and take care of the butterflies, they also do a great job educating every patron that comes in to visit the butterflies. The other big highlight of our Zoo experience was feeding the Giraffes! Very interactive and kids friendly. There was a bit of a line and the shade around the Giraffe's area is almost non-existent. So, I highly recommend bringing all the mist fans, sun hats, umbrellas, and sun-screen. My last gripe about the park has more to do with money than anything and that's their no personal water bottles/metal containers rule. You can't bring your own water or water for you kids because they want you to buy their $5 - 20oz Dasani water bottles. And that's just not good practice and not having the customer's best interests at hand with how much walking, lack if shade, and hear exposure there is. To the Zoo's credit there were some mist fan tents to help people cool down. I think we encountered 2-3 of them spanning the park. Lastly, the fish, reptiles, and big cats areas were great cool down areas and made the work more enjoyable.

Pretty solid size zoo with a bunch of different species of animals. They are missing some common ones like the elephant, but theres plenty of animals to see here. Theres a lot of great enclosures and some well themed areas. I also went on a dog day, which was fun seeing all the dogs react to the various animals. I would definitely recommend going earlier in the day because of the heat, and probably when the animals are most active.
Nick D — Google review
We went on a slow day, it was pretty hot. That said we were able to see pretty much everything they have and offer for purchase with not missing an animal! Kids loved it. And they have really good marks! Food there is eh... but who goes for that!? Great zoo over all! You can tell they take great care of the wild life they have.
TL W — Google review
We decided to go to San Antonio for the day and check out the San Antonio zoo. We were so disappointed it’s small. There’s no elephants the elephant had passed away and I think they were in the process of getting new elephants. There’s no gorilla the majority of the park are birds, we couldn’t feed the giraffes because we didn’t get there in time. It’s just a small zoo. It’s not as exciting as the big zoo Houston zoo is much much better so save your trip and do something else in San Antonio. Don’t go to the zoo. For $39 dollars I was expecting so much more. The stag is friendly!! And the park is serene.
OB1kanobe — Google review
It is much easier to go on line prior to visiting and get a pass or annual pass. The zoo was very clean. 90% of the animals were out and visible. I highly recommend morning or late afternoon for cooler visits on the hot days. We were very pleased with the amenities and the family had a great day.
Zina C — Google review
I've lost count on how many times we've gone. Maybe 3-4 times a year. We've had season passes the past 2-3 years. Hippos are still my favorite. Sad they lost a lion. Excited for gorillas and the new event center. Lots of good quick changes. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of fun, learning and walking. Criticism: Food is overpriced and underwhelming.
Aslan H — Google review
I've lived in San Antonio since 2017 and had never been to the Zoo! I recently received free tickets through my job for my family and decided it was time to go check it out at least once. I hate doing anything in San Antonio due to the amount of people literally everywhere, however I was pleasantly surprised at the LACK of people everywhere. We went on a Sunday and it was the best thing I've ever done here in San Antonio and I really enjoyed our time here. Some animals were not out, which is understandable. Their enclosures seemed rather spacious (esp compared to other zoos) and clean! Many concessions were not open, so it did take a while to find food and drinks. I did get a bucket of fries and those were so good! And you can get refills on the buckets, but we went towards the end of the day. If you want to buy tickets, you buy them online now. They have QR codes outside of the entrances for purchase. We rode the carousel twice as well. You also buy those tickets through the QR code.

The McNay Art Museum, located in a 1929 Spanish Colonial Revival mansion with a modern addition, is known as Texas's first museum of modern art. The museum boasts an extensive collection of American and European art spanning from Medieval to contemporary times. Visitors can explore Post-Impressionist paintings, contemporary Latino prints, and the Jeanne and Irving Mathews Collection of Art Glass.
We visited the McNay on a quiet weekday and had a great experience. The check-in process was smooth, and we appreciated the military and senior discounts. The museum blends a Spanish style historic mansion with thoughtfully curated art from a range of time periods—Renaissance religious works, modern pieces, and artists like Monet, Pollock and Diego Rivera. We also enjoyed some unique video installations and interactive spaces. The central courtyard and pond was peaceful and relaxed. We spent about two hours and followed it with lunch nearby—a lovely, low-key afternoon.

Super cool exhibits, and some of them were interactive. Very interesting ideas, styles and inspirations put on display by the artists. There was also a sort of cohesive juxtaposition between the traditional tiles and woodwork of the house compared to the modern art pieces that lined its rooms. Very fun!

We were transported to another world of the imagination and creativity of so many artists. It was a welcome break from our daily reality. Thank you to HEB for making it affordable on Thursday afternoons. My favorite exhibits were the larger-than-life outdoor sculptures. Had a great time. They have plenty of discount deals so I would look into that! I like that they had a kid section to show off High Schoolers work. The famous paintings were pretty amazing to see and the sculpture garden could be its own visit in itself. They have some free cards at the front desk to check out and then the gift shop for other goodies. I went around 3 pm on a Sunday and it was fairly empty which I appreciated because I had time to analyze the paintings without worrying about blocking someone else’s view!

La Villita Historic Village is a charming square-block enclave in San Antonio, listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. It's a bustling arts community with art galleries, craft stores, restaurants, and cafes along the south bank of the San Antonio River. Visitors can leisurely explore galleries and shops to find unique gifts reflecting the city's rich culture. The area also features landmarks like San Fernando Cathedral and The Majestic Theatre.
The historic village is a motley collection of small shops and tiny buildings. It's a beautiful place and is well maintained. They recently planet flowers around, and it's very vibrant. The atmosphere is amazing and it's a nice place to walk around and shop. The tiny buildings are adorable, and it truly has that village vibe to it.

We were lucky to vist around the day of the dead so there was a lot of cool artwork everywhere. I'm not sure if the art is permanently there. I have to say it's very quiet during the day. We got there around 11 am on a Sunday and it was nice and quiet. If you like a more busy atmosphere, I'm guessing early evening would be best. Located on the southern bank of the famed San Antonio River Walk, La Villita now occupies one artsy square block in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The Artisan village is listed on the U.S. government's National Register of Historic Places, featuring architectural styles that range from adobe structures, to early Victorian and Texas vernacular limestone buildings. Today, La Villita is a treasured Artisan and Entrepreneur district with over 25 shops and galleries that showcase local handmade goods and home to over 200 events a year.

La Villita Village is a small but vibrant cultural spot that took me by surprise. Though compact in size, it’s absolutely packed with charm, history, and artistic expression. As I wandered through its quaint streets, I felt immersed in the rich cultural roots that give this village its unique character. The highlight of my visit was stumbling upon a lively dance festival happening right in the heart of the village. The music, the colorful costumes, and the energy of the performers were simply infectious—I couldn’t help but stay and enjoy every moment. It added an unexpected and joyful twist to my day and really showcased the spirit of the community. La Villita is definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Whether you're into local art, handcrafted goods, cultural events, or just a peaceful stroll through a historic part of town, this little village offers a memorable experience.

Nestled in the heart of downtown along the San Antonio River Walk, the Briscoe Western Art Museum is a captivating tribute to the history and culture of the American West. Housed in a beautifully restored 1930s building, it showcases a diverse collection spanning five centuries, including Pancho Villa's saddle and Santa Anna's sword.
Very interesting museum in an historic first library in San Antonio. We visited mid-week during Spring Break 2025. There is an admission fee to view the exhibits of many types of art and historical artifacts (like wagons); a history lesson around every corner. Some of the bronze sculptures don't look like bronze. Just beautiful. There is an open area patio off to the side of the building that is open for passersby to step inside the gated area to view the many bronze sculptures and ceramic dioramas. Guards mingle with the guests to ensure nothing is touched inside. They were very friendly and enjoyed talking with visitors.

The Briscoe is a must visit when in San Antonio! Built in a lovely old post office, right on the river, it’s a beautiful example of adaptive reuse. The permanent collection is diverse with paintings, sculpture and western paraphernalia. The current temporary exhibit about the Spanish/Mexican Baja California cowboys who went to Hawaii is very well done and was a complete surprise to me. If you are choosing between the Fine Art Museum and the Briscoe, go western

The Briscoe is a great museum. The traveling exhibit we got to see was also amazing. Highly recommend, especially if you love Western art or want to learn more about Texas or Native American history, etc. Lots of bronze sculptures and different types of paintings.

One of the newest art museums in downtown San Antonio, the Briscoe Western Art Museum is a treasure and a must-see attraction. While the collection is not enormous, it is very engrossing and centered around Texas, and to a large degree, cowboy art which is not widely accessible. This is a perfect place to see and absorb information on the cowboy culture. It is a fantastic place to hang out for couple hours and perfect for families with young children. It’s also right on the Riverwalk so easy to swing by during your trot around. Highly recommended to visit during your trip to San Antonio.

My family enjoys our visits to the Briscoe Western Art Museum. Today we were able to catch the Aloha Vaquero exhibit which was awesome. This was our 2nd visit and look forward to returning. The staff is friendly and there's a nice gift job inside the museum. I recommend anyone who appreciates art to come visit.

The Briscoe art museum is a must see in San Antonio the art pieces they have are absolutely beautiful, the building was built by architect Herbert S. Green in 1929 as the Herztberg Circus Building and later became the San Antonio public library before being the Briscoe museum. You must visit this museum if you are a lover of art, history and culture, the staff is amazing and incredibly kind

A Stroll Through San Antonio’s Changing Heart I was on assignment downtown at the Convention Center, and during a break, I decided to take a walk. I knew the whole area was in the middle of a big redevelopment, but seeing it up close made me excited for what’s coming. You can already spot a new hotel rising right next door, and who knows—maybe one day a sports arena will join the skyline. It took me back to being six years old in 1968, when San Antonio hosted the World’s Fair. Back then, the area had this dazzling, futuristic feel. Today, it’s a vibrant blend of the past and the future—apartment buildings, charming little restaurants, and playful spaces for kids. I wandered past a splash area where children laughed and played in the water while parents relaxed nearby, and I couldn’t help but smile. Once the redevelopment is finished, this place is going to be something special. But honestly, it’s already worth a visit. Whether you live here or you’re just in town, take a stroll, grab a bite at a local spot, and if you’ve got kids, let them burn some energy in one of the play areas. There are hidden gems tucked around every corner. San Antonio is changing—and it’s beautiful to watch.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Charming Return to San Antonio’s Cultural Heart I recently made a return visit to La Villita Historic Arts Village and nearby Hemisfair Plaza, and it was every bit as delightful as I remembered — with a few important notes for fellow visitors. La Villita continues to shine as a gem of San Antonio’s cultural scene. The cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and vibrant artisan shops make it feel like stepping into another time. Every shopkeeper we encountered was not only friendly but genuinely enthusiastic about sharing the history and craftsmanship behind their wares. Their warmth added a personal touch that elevated the entire experience. Parking can be a challenge (a LOT of CONSTRUCTION EVERYWHERE!) especially during weekends or events, but , with a bit of patience and a careful search, we managed to find affordable, well-lit, and secure parking within walking distance. I recommend checking side streets and smaller lots just outside the main tourist corridor. Planning ahead definitely pays off. AVOID the HOTEL (3rd party contracted) friendly, but Super Expensive Valet Parking ($65 * overnight! YIKES!) One key tip: wear comfortable walking shoes. Much of the area is best explored on foot, and between La Villita, Hemisfair Plaza, and the scenic River Walk, you’ll cover more ground than you think. Safety tip: While most of the area is lively and well-trafficked, it’s wise to stay alert — especially after dark. There are a few dimly lit, desolate spots on the outskirts where the atmosphere changes noticeably. I recommend carrying a small, bright flashlight, sticking to well-populated, well-lit areas, and avoiding secluded spaces where vulnerable or potentially unstable individuals may linger. Trust your instincts and stay aware. A special highlight of any San Antonio trip: take a boat ride on the River Walk! It’s relaxing, informative, and gives you a whole new appreciation for the city’s layout and charm. It’s the perfect way to end the day. In summary: La Villita and Hemisfair Plaza are beautiful, welcoming, and culturally rich destinations that are absolutely worth the visit, Remember the Alamo and the River Walk! . Just come prepared, stay aware, and soak in the unique energy of this historic part of San Antonio. Stay safe — and enjoy every moment!

Brackenridge Park, located near downtown San Antonio, is a historic riverside park with a rich history dating back to prehistoric times. The park features scenic trails, picnic areas, athletic fields, and play areas nestled among Live Oak trees. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque Brackenridge Park Bridge, originally built in 1890 and relocated to the park after being damaged by a flood. The bridge's commemorative plaques have an interesting political history and are now painted completely in gold.
This is a beautiful park, one of the best. It's perfect for walking, picnicking, parties, fishing, playing, biking. It's fabulous. I loved all the green areas. I love going for walks in the evenings, getting out to clear my head and watching the sunset.

Breckenridge Park is very beautiful and quite large. The park connects and encompasses several different historical sites and venues like the San Antonio Zoo, Kiddie Park, the train ride, a softball field, and the Japanese Tea Gardens. The playground across from the Softball field is currently closed although it looks fine from afar but a sign says it won't open until Oct 2026. That is over a year away and seems excessively long to have the current playground closed.

We went to the park at 9am on a Friday and it was very quiet with people walking and jogging around. We took our dog there and the geese weren't phased when we walked by. We could only walk around the park for about 30 mins. The neighborhood is a very quiet place as well. I recommend visiting

The Japanese Tea Garden is one of the most scenic spots in San Antonio. Beautiful landscaping, peaceful walking paths, and incredible views at every turn. The waterfall, koi ponds, and stone bridges make it feel like you stepped into a postcard. It can get busy, especially with people taking pictures, but the beauty is worth it. A perfect place for a relaxing walk, photos, or just enjoying nature.

Pros: - Beautiful, clean park - Very shaded - Plenty of trash cans and doggie poop bags - Lots of picnic tables and seating areas Cons: - Trails can get confusing since most maps you can’t see the “you are here” marker - Many forks in the trail make it unclear if you’re still on the main path. I just wish the paths were better labeled. I feel like I kept getting lost 😞 - I encountered many men on the paths (who look like they may be staying out there), which can feel uneasy if you’re a single woman ** I came on a Friday around 11am **

Its lineup includes popular staples like Love Struck Hefe and Sky Trooper IPA, as well as the easy-drinking San Antonio Lager.
Unbelievably the best whiskey I have ever had! So good that we joined the Whiskey club and I suggest whoever reads this you do the same. The staff was extremely knowledgeable as we came on a Monday which was super chill. Can't wait to get my first bottle from the club and be a continuing customer. Thank you Ranger Creek for becoming my go to whiskey in SA!

What a cool little spot to hang out! If you find yourself on the East side of San Antonio and want to try some local craft beer and Whiskeys, Ranger Creek Brewing is where you want to be. I stopped in for open mic, and I was immediately impressed when I walked in the door. We were greeted by Jeff and Katey who took care of us all night, they even sang a song for us, which was great to see... they were great! The facility has a nice, clean contemporary atmosphere with plenty of local brew options to try. I recommend thier San Antonio Lager (really great beer). There is no kitchen here, but there's usually a food truck out back. Ranger is located in the hart of an industrial complex...don't let that deter you! You're going to think your GPS is leading you astray, and when you feel lost, you're probably on the right track. I can't wait to get back to try some of their Whiskey.

The only reason this is not a five-star review is because there is road construction nearby which makes reaching the site somewhat difficult otherwise this would be a five-star review. Very nice beers and shop in a casual atmosphere that is both adult and family friendly. Service was professional and courteous. Beer and Bourbon were smooth and delightful. Food, other than in bags is not available.

This really is a hidden gem San Antonio has! Stopped by to check it out and I liked it. Staff was very friendly and excited to talk to my family and I about the place and what they had to offer. Love the ambiance, there’s plenty of seating and their merchandise is nice. Beer is tasty. My Dad had an old fashioned and he loved it. Really cool place. They do offer tours and they have events like trivia and singo during the week.

Took my husband here for our 20th wedding anniversary, our first experience surprise and we both enjoyed every minute of it! To have a 1st time experience with friendly and knowledgeable people who work there, we will share our experience with family and friends! This is a hidden gem!

It's such a beautiful place to have a great glass of bourbon and a good beer. Their beer selection is not huge, but the few we tasted were decent. The service was great and really nice. I would definitely recommend their Dog in the Hunt Amber Lager. The patio is large and pretty cool. I would say a must see in San Antonio.

Kiddie Park is a beloved children's amusement park, established in 1925 and restored to its former glory in 2009. It offers families a nostalgic and old-fashioned way to spend the day with classic attractions like an old-school carousel, Ferris wheel, Flying Saucers, the Whip Ride, and the Helicopter. The park also features arcade games, carnival games, face painting, and areas for private birthday parties.
This is a historical treasure, that young children will always remember. Some of these reviews are from cheap tourists expecting Disneyland instead of the Texas vibe, and culture it offers. Most toddlers can't ride anything at all because of height requirements, but can freely enjoy all the rides for only $14 a wristband ALL DAY LONG. They never complain about bringing your own small snacks, and water bottles which is unheard of in most theme parks. The workers are out in the heat, and still give excellent service. There is a starbucks a block away for never ending complainers, and moms that need coffee. It's a part of San antonio that has been there since 1918, and I hope is still there when my children have children, just like it was for me, and my parents as well. I cannot stress enough how awesome it is, and crazy affordable! The rides still have original engineering which is far more advanced than most modern rides which are created without a single nod to safety, and wind up killing or injuring kids in the process to have that trendy look in social media posts. We never have an issue waiting for rides, and they will run the entire machine just for one kid, if they are in line. We go on Fridays, when most places are packed, and still have no issues. They don't have a ton of food options, nor do they need them? There are a million restaurants around, or just be better parents, and always keep food handy for your kids, like you would anywhere else in the world? These bad reviews are the reasons why historical places get shut down, so think twice before taking a piece of Texas history from those who love it dearly. You don't have to pay for parking at the zoo next door, if you drive up a block or two down on the right, there are long rows of steet parking always available. They have clean restrooms, and your little ones will love it. This is not a place for older kids to enjoy. It's a blessing for the tiny ones to have their own experience they will never forget. After you get done, take a stroll over to the river, and look the ducks or cool off your feet in the shallow end. The trees alone are worth the time. God bless this place. I hope it stays going forever for even more generations of Texans and transplants from other states to come.
Leone S — Google review
To the right of the zoo's entrance. There are five rides to choose from. It being our first time here, we settled with getting the unlimited ride option. My daughter enjoyed it, so that's what matters most. No lines. Convenience of multiple food options (nearby gift shop with snacks, Starbucks, and hotdog stand that is on site). There is a spacious picnic area to the right of the gift shop. It's a slight bummer that the mini amusement park is in need of a major upgrade (long overdue).
Google U — Google review
Honestly, it's a nice little place for kids. I took my one-year-old daughter there at around 1pm, yesterday and I would advise you to go early whether or not because it's really hot outside and the rides go fast ish also not all was rides were open… I paid for unlimited rides, but when she's a little older, I know she can get on more, so remember to bring your own drinks. Water costs about $4 and there is some change. other than that workers were friendly and no long lines nor was there a line to buy wrist bands
Nev — Google review
So much fun!! Kept my kids entertained for a very long time and everything was really neat. Food and drinks were way overpriced, but we got the unlimited rides and lunch ticket for the kids which was totally worth it. Was not crowded, no wait lines for rides.
Angela R — Google review
The Kiddie Park is such a treasure in San Antonio! This has been a multi-generational spot that so many of us—now in our 40s, 50s, and even older—can still remember visiting as kids. I love that they’ve kept so many of the old-fashioned rides that are perfect for little ones to enjoy today. I don’t miss that old roller coaster, though—it always felt like it was about to launch me over a fence! (At least that’s what my little kid brain told me. Haha.) My children and I go now, and even though it gets super hot in the summer, it’s still a joy to have this nostalgic, family-friendly gem in our community.
Mico — Google review
Don't waste your money here. This place used to be awesome but it definitely has gone down hill recently. We had a party scheduled here and although the staff were nice they are definitely spread so so thin. There was only 3 workers working the front counter, catering to the multiple parties and running the many rides. This caused for subpar service and really long waits for the rides in the hot sun. I really don't leave reviews but I hope they see this and hire more people and pay them to stay because man, it wad hard to watch such nice employees work extremely hard to try to keep up with EVERYTHING.
Tori R — Google review
My granddaughter had fun. She is 3 so she definitely fit on the rides perfectly. The atmosphere was very disappointing. 95% of the employees were in a very bad mood. My granddaughter was being polite and say thank you after every ride. The employees would not respond. The ride were very old. Paint chpiping away.
Rosalinda A — Google review
My kids had a blast today. This old place still keeps lots of its magic for the little ones. It is interesting to ride 97 year old attractions. At first sight the park is small, however, we spent three hours there and my kids did not want to leave. They were able to ride many times without having to stand in line. We enjoyed the shade around the attractions. Also, all the staff were super friendly. We will visit it again!

Mission San Jose Church Parish Offices is a significant place of worship in Texas, known for its impressive carved limestone facade and beautiful rose window. It is the largest colonial mission in the state and holds great historical significance. The church has been well-preserved since the 1700s and remains a functional place of worship. Visitors can explore the mission at their own pace as it does not require tickets for a self-guided tour.
Loved this place, walking the grounds, you can feel the history. I would encourage everyone to come visit this place

Amazing Mission that is preserved very well. Clean bathrooms and a decent gift shop. An exhibit from the Network to Freedom was an interesting addition in the last year. The video was given from the indigenous perspective which was interesting although perhaps a bit skewed against the benefits of the Spanish presence. It's a worthwhile trip if you're in San Antonio for sure.

Mission San Jose is a wonderful piece of history. The grounds are very clean and it's a very flat, paved walk in the event you're with those with mobility issues. They have lots of information plaques so you can fulfill the needs of your history buffs in your group as well. The grounds are sacred with many unmarked graves and you can feel the weight of history between the walls. Some of the walls still have the original fresco's as well. It's a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours and taking pictures is so much fun here.

This is a wonderful mission church near San Antonio, TX. The mission San Miguel y San Jose de Aguayo. The grounds are scenic & provide a variety of sights & views of this old colonial church. The corridors & interior of the church are spectacular. Yes it's old, & yes it's crumbling, but this is a worthwhile half day trip when you're in the area.

The visit back to the history. I would highly recommend anyone visiting San Antonio to take some time and try the mission trail visit as well. There are quite a few Spanish missions on the trail that give you a good perspective of how life used to be back in the days. I'm really glad that there is no entry ticket or fee to visit these places and they have tried to maintain the historical aspect as well.

Greenlake RV Resort by QRV is a highly rated and well-maintained RV resort located just minutes from San Antonio. It offers a peaceful location to explore the city without being in the midst of it, with easy access to downtown and the freeway. The resort provides a safe environment with its code-gated community, ensuring a secure stay for guests. Amenities include a lovely pool, relaxing jacuzzi, flat concrete slabs at each site along with picnic tables and fire pits.
The park is beautiful and well maintained. Patty and Allen the management make the park so kind and fair. When we moved into our new home not far from the park I felt like I was leaving family turning in the gate keys. Close to everything but far enough away it’s nice and quiet.
Russel M — Google review
The RV resort looks beautiful in the photos, but our stay didn’t quite match the pictures. We booked a spot on the lake hoping to enjoy the view, but the fountain wasn’t working and the water level was really low. I’m not sure if they’re working on fixing it, so I won’t hold that part against them, but it stayed that way for our entire month-long stay. What really made the experience uncomfortable was one of the long-term residents who constantly watched me from his window. It wasn’t just casual glances — even at night, while I was outside with my dogs, he would peek through his blinds. It made me feel unsafe, and my boyfriend was worried about leaving me alone while he was at work. Overall, the resort itself has potential, but the lack of maintenance and the unsettling behavior from one of the residents made our stay far from enjoyable. I wouldn’t recommend it until management addresses these issues.

Noticed a dog washing station amenity I thought was a great feature, will take advantage next time. Yes, we’ll be back. I did think it odd “no pets by lake”. Maybe their presence scares the fish and LOTS of people were fishing. 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Clean place & people nice but not my idea of a good campground. Most sites are people there full time so lots of stuff around everywhere. Had real hard time backing in with vehicles & golf carts parking on edge of our driveway and across from us. We will NOT be back.

Clean and peaceful place to stay for the weekend or month. Front staff were friendly and accommodating. We had friends who actually booked the wrong weekend (one weekend later from ours) when they found out they called Greenlake to see if there were any spots for the weekend we were staying, they said yes and they even put our friends one site away from ours. Had a great time swimming and fishing. We caught two good sized cats using hot dogs as bait. Big enough to have a decent fish fry but this pond is a catch and release only.

We rented a RV spot and also a cabin for my daughter and her friend. Great location and it was quiet. Kids had fun swimming in the pool and they fished non stop in the pond. They caught a lot of fish and they had a blast. Make sure you bring your own fishing gear or stop by Walmart and pick some up. 2 hour drive to San Pedro Island to the Gulf. Lots of barbecue areas and also fire puts to do smores. Club house was nice also, just remember that if you have kids under 16 a adult needs to be there.

My husband and I stayed here for a month in March and had a great experience. The park is well maintained and the bathrooms are cleaned daily. The staff was friendly and helpful and complimentary coffee and popcorn was provided in the common area daily. This was a nice perk. The common area also had fitness equipment, a shuffleboard and billiards table, along with computer and printer access. We enjoyed lounging at the pool, the water is freezing though! The park is about 20 minutes from the Downtown/Riverwalk area. There’s not much around the park, other than a Mexican restaurant and market. I highly suggest Taqueria La Tapatia; the food was so good and authentic! We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.

Stone Creek RV Park in San Antonio is a highly praised pet-friendly destination for RVers. It's conveniently located near the freeway yet offers a peaceful countryside atmosphere. The park features family and adult-only pools, a hot tub, convenience store, two rec halls, and spacious off-leash dog parks with agility equipment. Nestled away from the city, it provides a genuine community feel with friendly and accommodating staff. Despite its proximity to the freeway and train tracks, guests find it quiet and enjoyable.
Nice, dog friendly RV park. Ongoing maintenance keeps the park in good shape. Campers and staff are very friendly. We camped in a 45ft motorhome, with 2 dogs. There are two pet areas with agility equipment. It is far back from the highway and pretty quiet.

We love this RV park, absolutely the best customer service delivered to us. Each and every lady working in the office always delivered excellent customer service. From the park being so peaceful to the restrooms, showers and laundry rooms being very clean. Shawn the housekeeping manager was always so helpful and kind when we would go visit the laundry room. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back when traveling. I give it the maximum of a 10 plus plus from a scale of 1 to 10. Thank you Ms. Lynette for assuring all resident's are taken care of while visiting this property. Grateful Traveler,

Nice park. Friendly staff. We had a 41ft RV and dually truck. RV fit just fine. We had to do creative parking with the truck to make it fit, but it is all good. Lots of amenities: 2 pools(1 adult with hot tub; 1 Family). Pools are open year round. Easy access from the highway. Faint highway noise and train noise. RV sites are decent. 2 dog parks. Close to dining, shopping, and entertainment. We would come here again.

We had an awesome time at this RV park. The park is well maintained and clean. The laundry facilities are clean and well equipped. The pool was clean and well maintained. We liked the hot tub. The park has many sites with sheltered picnic areas. We will definitely return when we are in the area. Please stop by and check out this establishment when you need to stay in the area.

Loved our stay. Super nice people. Quiet, clean and enjoyable. Our big 47’ trailer fit nicely in the spot. Trees trimmed and well maintained. Adult only pool and hot tub. We will be back.

We came to Sam Amtonio to visit our friend Bebe and found a spot at Stome Creek. The creek runs through the middle of the park but there was no water in it while we were here. The park is right off the freeway but there is not too much nose. Also close to train tracks nut againwe found them ro not ne intrusive. Mostly lo g termtenants in park but very clean and neat and quiet. We loked it so much we were able to extend our stay. Our site was a pull through and very wide and spacious. We had room for our 38 foot motor home and jeep. We had a patio with a roof and a picnic table. Park is well maintained and has partial shade from trees. Our site (11) was uneven and we had to pull the motorhome up on 2 inch blocks on the drivers side. The sites are gravel and crushed rock. My only complaint with the crushed rock is it tends to splash on your rig when it rains. They offer free wifi and a paid version. The free wifi worked well most of the time but had a tendency to disconnect which is pretty common at RV parks. We wouls stay here again.

I was here for a month, from mid March to mid April. The park is very clean and upkept. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It is far enough from the highway that you don't hear any noise, and the residents, while I was there at least, are also quiet and friendly. The spots are nice, with plenty of space to put your rig and park a truck or tow vehicle. My only complaint is that the sewer connection, for my spot at least (216) is way up towards the road, where as when I back my rig in I had to run 3 10' hoses to reach. Not a huge deal, but noteworthy. I would absolutely stay here again if I'm ever in the area.
Chris N — Google review
The lady at the front desk was very nice. The RV Park itself is okay. I've stayed in far worse. The RV pad was very uneven. It's really not enough room to park RV and Truck. We had to park sideways. Adult pool is nice but No lounge chairs. 2 and that's it. Dog park is okay weeds growing in it. It's mainly dirt and weeds. If I had paid 30.00-40.00 a night I would expect these things.

Mission Trails RV Park is a great place to stay if you're looking for an RV park that has everything you need. The park has two slide outs, making it perfect for large families or groups of friends. Plus, the staff is always willing to help and make sure your stay is enjoyable.
Rose the officer manager is the sweetest lady I've met. She is very hospitable and very welcoming. Neighbors are really nice people. Great location HEB, Wal-Mart, and Sam's club 1/4 mile away. Not to far from downtown, but far enough to miss the downtown traffic.Facilities are clean laundry room and showers very well kept. Pet friendly and lots are the cheapest in town. Highly recommended!

Richard W — Google review
This place is not somewhere I could say is upscale or even eye appealing. Summer the manager is rude and disrespectful. The residents there are nice and friendly and Rose the assistant is as sweet as they come. If you are on a budget and just need a place to stay then you might consider it. Don't expect anything more than a dirt road and a some semi-manicured grass to park your RV on.
John W — Google review
This place is a dump pure and simple. Didn't even feel we could leave our chairs out overnight. Lots of low rent full timers who don't care about keeping anything tidy. Didn't see any drug deals go down but one can assume. Don't believe any of the padded reviews just stay away.
John G — Google review
Not so good a place anymore. Dirty and too much drama. Never know if ur gonna get bit by a stray dog. The upkeep is terrible. No full time maintenance help and places are covered with black mold. Has literally gone to the dogs. Too much is put on the office girls shoulders.
Maggie L — Google review
Thought it was a chill spot at first. Then they started harassing my friend that lives here. First the lawn mower guy ran over his sewage line. Then the owner harassed me when i walked up here trying to see my friend. "He is not allowed to have visitors anymore because he is getting evicted" "leave or i am going to to call the cops" There is no reason for that. I have always been a decent guest that causes no trouble. What are you his mom? Turns out she didn't even give him a eviction notice yet.. or tell him he was going to be evicted. Later that night she finally typed up a "eviction" notice. Saying he has broke "at least 4 rules" didn't even explain what rules he broke. I would not recommend this place ever.

Patriot RV Park - San Antonio SW is a great year round RV camping spot. With easy access to popular attractions such as downtown San Antonio and the amusement parks, this park is perfect for those on a road trip or wanting to stay awhile in the area.
We moved here at the end of January and have been here since. The staff and community are great! Chester and Ethan are very respectful and always willing to lend a hand as well as check in periodically to make sure your stay is meeting your expectations. They have two very nice dog parks. The larger one is great for the dogs to run around freely without being on a leash. Another great perk is free laundry; we’re a full-time family of four and save so much because of the free laundry. Location is great if you want to get away from the city and live in the country. It truly reminds me of growing up on the ranch with the different animals the neighbors next door have. All in all we love this place and are hoping to stay here until our next PCS. P.S. There are about 6 military families that are currently living here and have heard nothing but great things from all of them as well.
Eduardo P — Google review
My family and I had a wonderful experience during our short stay at patriot RV park. The facility was clean, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and all of the amenities were in great working order. We often travel past the area and will look forward to the next time we are able to stay at this rv park. Definitely one of the nicer places in and around San Antonio area.

My brother was arrested. I've been having to deal with his trailer and storage. Management have been great with dealing with me. It was a stressful situation they helped me get through it and was very friendly and understanding. I like this place so much I went ahead and brought my own camper here.

Great, safe RV park for family and especially those with dogs. Includes two spacious dog parks and large lots, both pull-through and back in options. Community is very well maintained and has gated access and cameras for additional safety. Washers and dryer’s on site are free to guests and are new. The price is unbeatable, especially for the quaint country experience. We absolutely love being close in proximity to San Antonio, but away from all of the traffic. Staff is amazing and incredibly personable. We’re so glad we chose this RV park over those on the military bases. Would highly recommend to anyone, especially to those with children and/or dogs.
Kristye P — Google review
This is a nice relaxing place with the right amount of the Texas country vibe, and you’re not going to beat the price in the San Antonio area for the quality it provides. It’s quiet , safe, and the staff is exceptionally responsive and easy to work with in case you may need anything. It has all the hookups you need for a comfortable stay, and other pluses are the on-site laundromat, the pets love it here, and not a bad commute to downtown San Antonio for those wanting to engage in the sites or festivities.
Chase G — Google review
Well kept and managed, as well as being very clean. It was also nice to see that the place had clean showers and bathrooms, which is an oddity around these parks

Nice RV Park and comfortable. Management is great. I like having free wifi, it makes up for the electrical I pay.
Lillian L — Google review
With recent price changes. I felt a need to update my review. With the new owners taking over back a few years ago they have let the place fall down a dump. Roads are terrible to drive on especially after it rains Package theft is a real and major issue People at night sometimes rev their engines I would not recommend at all especially if kids are invovled sincepeople tend to speed causing a real danger to children.

If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing RV park while on your next Texas adventure, look no further than Country Breeze RV Park. They have well manicured lawns and flowering trees, making it the perfect place to unwind and take in the scenic beauty of San Antonio. Their full hookup sites are perfect for enjoying all that this great state has to offer!
We just started coming down here for winters with the camper. It's been amazing so far. We had a few issues when setting up our camper, like turning on the hot water. I asked the park maintenance guy Mike, who lives at the park, if he could help, and he was the best. Got us set up and working. He even helped me set up my wheelchair ramp. It is quiet and not far from the highway, so it doesn't take long to get into the city. Internet is easy to get here.
Ryan — Google review
Stayed here for about 10 months. The only good thing about this RV park, really, is that it's quiet, mainly because it's a bit out in the boonies. The water has a fairly strong smell to it. The lady who was supposed to be manning the office desk was rarely there so if you needed to use the laundry facilities, check in, or pay rent, you had to call her. She'd also try to pawn the job off and give the phone to one of my friends, and didn't offer to pay them or take a discount off their site rent or electricity for doing so. She also wouldn't be there for package drop-off, so if you had FedEx, USPS, or UPS, good luck. Amazon only. They had someone in the RV park who they knew had a cockroach infestation and they only asked them to leave when enough people complained after finding cockroaches in their normally clean RVs, including mine. Not a lot of shade and people letting their dogs crap everywhere. Price was a little lower than some of the other RV parks in the area, so we chose to stay here. But you get what you pay for and we're happy to have moved to another RV park that has multiple amenities, is clean, and close to many things.

Had one of the best spot in the campground under covering. The down fall to this park is the previous owners have a cat rescue and they still live on the property. The cats are running all over the campground and will pee on everything you have. Also the new owners will not allow any dogs over 20lbs. New owners I believe are not local. Would not recommend

Yanawana Camp RV Park is a pet-friendly RV park that features full hookups. The park is only 2.4 acres, but has everything you need for an RV adventure. The sites have a 20-30-50 amp, water line, and sewer line. Clemente and Gabby are the welcoming hosts who will show you to your spot and tell you about the area.
Great little park. Super friendly hosts. I'm still a green traveler so having someone guide me to park was great. Free Wi-Fi was also a major bonus and helped me save some money. It can get noisy from the highway at night but after the second night , you don't notice it.

Gabby and Clemente are amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and stress-free. They even came out to help us park and delivered our welcome packet directly to our parked location. The park itself may be small, but it is fully equipped with all the necessary amenities including electricity, water, and sewer hookup. The locked gate provided an added sense of security and peace of mind throughout our entire stay. Plus, their location only 15 minutes away from the famous Alamo and Riverwalk areas made it the perfect home base for our adventures. We had such a fantastic time that we're already planning our next visit. Thank you, Gabby and Clemente, for your wonderful hospitality!

Nice 4 campsites in the back. Long driveway big front yard. No sign and a locked gate. Not for big rigs. But worked out fine and a great location.
Ken D — Google review
Excellent safe place to stay while visiting so many great attractions in the area which are close but not too close, San Antonio is a huge very busy place and we chose this place for its size of only 5 spots, price, a locked gate day and night that only registered guests have a key for and just around the corner is the start of the awesome biking/hiking River Walk Trail system that brings you to each and every mission, last one being the Alamo. That’s the safety that we really appreciated knowing we can go off in the day or night for the attractions and know that no one was just going to drive through our unattended campground also the owners live right on the property and take excellent care of it. Only reason for missing one star is the lack of WiFi also there was some street racing that goes all over San Antonio at night that you can hear even though this campground is not located right next to roads like others. We enjoyed our stay, would return and as other reviews state, the owners are super friendly and accommodating. Full hookups, 30/50 amp service, good water and pressure, 80 antenna channels, many in HD

Great location for exploring San Antonio and the missions. The owners are a great source of local knowledge and very helpful. Access to the bike trail is about a minute from the campground. Will stay again when in San Antonio.

We were promptly greeted by the host and guided over to our site. We were in site #3, it was level and had full hookups. We received some information about the area and maps to help us with any planning. The location for us was great! We took full advantage of being in very close proximity to the River Walk, bike and hike trail. We loved using the trail to navigate through the city and visit all the Missions. We loved the small gardens on the property and we wished we had more time allocated to staying at this small RV park. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.
Rochelle C — Google review
This is a nice place for people who do not need a shower house. It is 4 sites at the end of a long private lot, so it’s peaceful and secluded. It seems very safe and is accessed via a locked gate. There is some highway noise, but I imagine that cannot be avoided in San Antonio. The hosts live on-site and are quite helpful. It’s easy to get to off of I-410. It’s about a 12 minute drive to downtown San Antonio.
Craig — Google review
Great hosts. Gave us specific information based on what we wanted to do. Sites were clean and had full hookups. Small campground only five sites. Basically an area on someone’s property. The hosts house is nearby. Site 5 has the most privacy. The hosts obviously care about you and their campground.

This is a newer RV park, so the spots are nice. The laundry facility was clean, and the grounds are a work in progress. The host never came by to say hello like most RV parks we've stayed at or to even check and make sure everything was okay with our stay. Now we were here for a whole week, so I'm really shocked it didn't happen at some point. We booked our stay several months in advance and the spot we were supposed to have was taken which was disappointing. The park has a small fenced in area for the dogs to run so that was nice but even though it says under camera watch some folks dont know how to clean up after their dog and that was annoying as heck because it has to be a BIG dog that left 💩 behind. There are several full timers in this park also. We didn't come to hang out at the park we came to visit TX and San Antonio. All and all we would stay here again because its clean and very quiet. The husband did mention to the staff that our spot was taken and the 💩 issue and the people in the office did give us our $20 fee back.

Great RV park. Bathrooms are cleaner and more updated than my house! Ground is very hard packed, sites level, electric is great. The Internet is fast and well thought out with great signals throughout the park. 5g cell phone service is great, too (full bars). I've been here a week so far. Stable 120v, even when loaded. Water pressure is perfect 50-55psi. you don't even need a regulator. I was worried about road noise being so close to the road, but it was dead silent. I can even sit outside and barely hear cars, some sort of wizardry going on. Mike, the owner, is amazing too. I stopped by to visit to check the park out, and he invited me in, showed me a few spots, and answered all of my questions.

I found Dominion Oaks on Google maps, which I use every day. We drove in to visit and discovered that this RV Park was just what we were looking for in San Antinio, TX. We met Mike and he invited us to drive through the park and pick a spot. We really liked the park and stayed for a month. Everything worked out perfectly, and Mike and his sons were very warm and friendly. Their internet is the strongest we've ever had, and the location is just minutes from all shopping, Costco and gym.
