Resort hotel
Nestled on the southwest end of Freeport Peninsula in Montego Bay, Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay is an exclusive adults-only resort offering a vibrant atmosphere for young adult couples and anyone seeking a lively getaway. The all-inclusive property boasts chic modern suites with stunning ocean views, over a mile of private beaches, and access to one of the top-rated spas in Montego Bay.
I recently returned from a 60th birthday celebration at Wild Orchid. It was an awesome experience. I've been to several resorts in Jamaica and I have to say this one was the best thus far. They offer many activities and live shows. It was Jamaica Day on one of my day's and the "Bob Marley Tribute" was excellent. We did karaoke and water aerobics. Lounged around the pool with exceptional service. An authentic jerk truck with plantain and corn visited the pool area daily. The Blue Mountain restaurant served delicious Jamaican cuisine; I had the oxtail. The Asian Infused restaurant was also delicious. We also got a massage at the Spa; best I've ever had. As I stated earlier, everyone was so accommodating. I'd like to shine a special shout out to a few people who made our stay EXTRA special: Karen (at the lobby bar), Amanda (our appointment Spa setter), Oscar, Erron (pool server), Ray, Peanut, Nadia, Janice, Nick (water aerobics instructor), Sayno, and Sherece (Pool server).

The property and resort is nice, although we weren't blown away or impressed above our expectations. The food is delicious, however there are some that I would avoid, such as El Patio. The a la carte dinners also took a long time, up to 2 hours if you also have dessert, which lead to long wait times if you don't arrive close to opening at 6:00. The app was also not accurate, listing hours for each restaurant, which changed our plans more than once when we arrived to a closed restaurant. Room service was quite slow at times, so we only ordered breakfast which was more prompt. The very large size of the resort (combining 3 resorts) seems to be a challenge from a service and maintenance aspect. The pool area was clean. Although the beach/ocean had a high amount of sargassum, it was still swimmable. The ocean only gets around 3-5ft deep up to the buoys. Lots of beach chairs available. Pool chairs were more limited. This is the 2nd Secrets we have stayed at, and Secrets Cap Cana was a more impressive resort to us, and left us expecting more from Wild Orchid. Overall, this is a good resort worth going to and we had a great time, but unless it is your first time at an all inclusive, you should adjust your expectations.
Hasan M — Google review
In general would give this resort a 3.5 out of 5. They desperately need to remodel and upgrade their rooms, pool, restaurants décor etc. The hospitality was not always good, a lot of times the women would give a lot of attitude and make it seem like getting our requests were such a pain to them. Our toilet was clogged one of the nights just because they didn't work well enough. I had to call front desk 3 times with a wait of over an hour, no one came. I had to go down to front desk and demand maintenance to ride in the elevator with me to fix the issue. A few days later when we were making a reservation to a restaurant the hostess was oh room # XXX you guys had the toilet complaint - EXCUSE ME? First of very unprofessional you would bring that up at dinner, secondly it wasn't my fault maintenance was not doing their job and I had to yell at them to do so. The food was really good however, the wait for receiving your food was sometimes over an hour. The hibachi experience was one of our top memories - definitely recommend. The coffee shop had great coffee and the women there were very nice there. The beach area was great, beautiful, calm waves with amazing sunset. In general I do not think the cost for this resort was worth what we got

We have just returned from here. All I can say is excellent. All the staff make you feel welcome and part of the family in Jamaica. The barracuda bar is the bar to be at. Dowaine, Shereece, Althea, Jenell, Kadeen nd KerryAnn make you feel so special and they take very good care of you. Deandra and Junior in the restaurants take very good care of you. Lisa and Rusheka and the others on reception are always available and extremely helpful. Anita on the cleaning team looked after us very well. Duran and Rashmaine our buttlers were exceptional. They were kind, helpful and made our time in Jamaica extra special. I would recommend this hotel 100 %

We really enjoyed our stay! The resort is nice, the entertainment is great, the food is great… only a few discomforts some of the restaurants are extremely hot. We tried to dress up a little bit for the rooftop dinner and the hibachi dinner and we’re extremely uncomfortable due to the heat. Maybe if they could find a way to put some outdoor fans it would be perfect. The other thing is we upgradedto the preferred status to be able to enjoy some of the top shelf amenities, but they did not upgrade the room service menu so that was a bust. But overall, I was still give it 4 1/2 stars.

We had a wonderful 25th anniversary trip at Secrets Wild Orchid. Lots of entertainment, tour options, water activities, and the gym was great. Dieandra at World Cafe was absolutely amazing so we asked to be seated at her table for the entire trip! So warm, friendly and professional. We will definitely return!

I recently stayed at Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The check-in process was smooth, and we were able to check in earlier than expected, which was a plus. The room itself was very nice—clean, comfortable, and with a beautiful ocean view. However, the food and service fell far short of what I would expect from a 5-star resort. There was little to no variety in the food; the same items were served daily across nearly all restaurants. The few restaurants that did offer variety were booked days in advance, yet no one informed us of the need to make early reservations. To make matters worse, the bars and restaurants weren’t consistently open, leaving long gaps with no food or drinks available. Breakfast was the best meal of the day, but even that was underwhelming. I left the hotel for an excursion and the food was so much better outside. During my stay, I needed some basic feminine products, but surprisingly, the hotel did not stock any. Thankfully, one of the staff members went out of her way to provide them from her own supply—a kind gesture, but something the resort should have been prepared for. Another frustrating moment came when I asked for a towel around 5 PM on the beach, only to be told there were none available. For a resort of this caliber, that felt unacceptable. The drinks were mediocre at best—often watered down and lacking quality. When I asked staff questions, they rarely had answers, which only highlighted how disorganized the resort seemed. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay. Jamaica is a stunning and vibrant country, but sadly, this resort did not reflect the beauty or hospitality I was hoping for. I truly expected more from a brand that markets itself as a luxury experience.

Absolutely amazing! I love this resort! All inclusive/adults only. Our room was beautiful. The view was stunning and the food was sooooo good! Jamaica is top tier one of a kind! I can’t wait to go back! 🩷

Sandals Royal Caribbean is an all-inclusive, couples-only resort in Jamaica that offers a range of amenities such as bars, restaurants, a gym, and a spa. The resort stands out for its overwater villas situated on a private island, providing guests with stunning ocean views and private infinity pools. With nine restaurants offering diverse cuisine options and activities like snorkeling and sailing included in the package, this adult-only retreat ensures a memorable vacation experience.
We've had an amazing experience at this "adult only" vacation resort. It's absolutely beautiful, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The setting is beautiful, and I felt completely "safe" at all times. Although, very discreet, you see security personnel stationed in various locations throughout the resort and beach area to ensure only the guests are on-site. Lush greenery, well-manicured grounds and flowers. Absolutely a "must" for couples who truly want to relax in a more calm, mature and peaceful setting. This resort is also close to the airport, about a 15 minute ride, but yet, a wonderful setting. We talked with "seasoned Sandals travelers," i.e., throughout their lives they've spent 350 nights in Sandals resorts and said they prefer "Royal Carribean" because of the resort size, proximity to the airport, and the overall experience! We are on our way to South Coast Resort, White House, Jamaica for 4 more nights, so we shall see what that experience is like next. By the way, the food is awesome, especially the Indian Restaurant Bombay, French Restaurant Le Jardienier, and the Carribean Restaurant Spices as well as the Italian Restaurant. This has been a wonderful experience! What are you waiting for? Book the experience already!!!!!

Sandals Royal Carribean did not disappoint. Shadeen (wedding planning office) went above and beyond. To add some further detail, my wife and I had been planning our vowel renewal in Jamaica through Sandals and it was poor. HOWEVER, as soon as we get to the resort Shadeen makes it look effortless and there is no stress. Her attention to detail and "customer first" approach is great. She made our vowels renewal exactly what we wanted, thank you Shadeen you were amazing! Our butlers lan and Nicole were exceptional and in all honesty they made our stay. Both made our individual birthdays special and made us feel special on each. To be honest, I think if we didn't have lan and Nicole I don't think our stay would of been what it was, they were amazing, friendly, professional and easy going, thank you both. The maintenance team on the beach were also great and keep the beach in pristine condition whilst also being pleasant and professional. Few comments for improvement. My wife and I went to the sushi restaurant in Montego Bay and was met with abit of hostility when asking for Perrier water that we had thought our butler had arranged, it was as if the server w looking down on us, however she did warm u wards the end.

I must say the staff at Sandals Royal Caribbean were exceptional and there was a very high staff to guest ratio. I was greeted by a cold wet flannel and a drink which was exactly what the doctor ordered. Please note I arrived at 11am and check in was for 3pm. They stored my luggage and was more than happy to assist me with settling in on the premises until my room was ready. The room was exquisite, the only downside was that the gentleman that took me to my room spoke so fast and could have taken time to explain things a little more as I felt lost on the first night there. Throughout the stay, staff members went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, special thank to all the staff in Cricketer's pub, you were all superb. My house keeper Terry-Ann was so lovely, thanks again. The highlight of my trip though was Patricia at front desk. I had a late flight back home and stayed on the premises until it was time to leave. I was told earlier my a team member that I could use that facilities at the gym to have a shower and get changed. Patricia, however gave me access to a room to have a shower and get changed. Now, that is what you call going above and beyond. Thank you so so much and I cannot wait to come again as this was an absolutely breathtakingly epic experience, PS the fire dance was incredible!

Celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary 2 weeks ago at Sandals Royal Caribbean, the place we honeymooned. Everything and everyone were fantastic. Food, service, drinks, vibe, top notch as usual. We enjoyed a swim out suite and it was so fun having our own pool area and sundeck. We spent a day on the island at the pool and beach bar and it was quiet and uncrowded. Royal Caribbean is much smaller and laid back than Sandals Montego Bay down the road, but you have privileges at both. Totally enjoyed our relaxing time.

We had the most phenomenal trip to Sandals Royal Caribbean. We resort was awesome. The view from our room amazing. All the staff was friendly, professional and genuine "really sincere people". The food was delicious. We went for our Thirty Year anniversiry and my wife being cancer free. If you need to refresh I would encourage you to plan a trip.

Our Sandals vacation in Montego Bay at Royal Caribbean was really great. The resort was not as big as our first experience at St. Lucia, but we had a great time celebrating with our friends for their 10th wedding anniversary. Our Butler, Andre (Bossi) was superb and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable, worry-free time. He was attentive to our needs, anticipated our desires, and went the extra mile to help us celebrate with banners, flowers, and signs posted for the anniversary. The food was good and our server, Princess, at the Bombay resort was so delightful that we requested her on our return visit to the restaurant. The entertainment was very nice and we are already looking towards the next Sandals location.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay about a week before hurricane Melissa hit. Our stay was as epic as we had hoped. Rooms, service, staff, food, drinks, pools, beach...everything was 10/10. Our butlers Sheldon and Andre awesome...attentive without being intrusive. We loved the surprises they had for us in our room and while lounging at the pool and beach. My wife especially loved the private dinner on the beach. Too many good things to list here. We will be back, not only because of the quality of our visit, but because of the outstanding way they treated guests who got stuck there due to hurricane Melissa.

My husband and I stayed five days at Sandals Royal Caribbean for our Anniversary. This is a beautiful resort, very relaxing if you are looking for a relaxing resort with all the amenities. The rooms are beautiful, the restaurants serve good food, the grounds are well maintained. The ocean view is awesome. Can't wait to go back next year. The hospitality is awesome 👍

Breathless Montego Bay Resort & Spa is an adults-only, all-inclusive beach resort with chic rooms and seven eateries. The resort offers a rooftop pool and bar, as well as access to the neighboring Secrets resort. Guests praise the attentive staff, particularly Asheena and Emeley from the entertainment team, and Tamara from the bar. While some minor issues were reported with restaurant service and room cleanliness, overall feedback is positive.
I had such a wonderful experience at Breathless Montego Bay Resort & Spa! The resort was beautiful, the food and drinks were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. A big highlight of my stay was the entertainment team, especially Zidane. He was full of energy, incredibly friendly, and went out of his way to make sure guests were enjoying themselves. His positivity and enthusiasm really stood out and made my vacation even more memorable. Thanks to Zidane and the rest of the team, my stay at Breathless was truly unforgettable. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for great service, entertainment, and relaxation all in one.

Great resort, would be 5 stars were it not for the string mold smell up on entering rooms. There has to be a way to remedy this as the resort is newer. I definitely enjoyed the access to Secrets restaurants and beaches and was treated like Secrets royalty. Would come again but would love for them to do something about mold smell. JANICE in the spa was awesome, special about Shout to her, such a pleasure. We enjoyed the stay and pool parties and drinks..staff very friendly and attentive. Fun trip.

Alistair is the the Best bartender on the whole resort! He’s promptness and his personality is so refreshing!! We hung out with him our whole vacation upstairs at Altitudes! We had so much fun meeting him and invited him to come to our home in Florida! He’s a good man and we wish him a very prosperous life! He definitely deserves the best life can offer him! We’ve been here 3 times in the past 7 years! He’s the Best! Make sure to look for him as your Best Bartender on the Resort!!

Definitely made it worth spending more for their services. The food was awesome! They do a good job keeping up with the place! Dr Pepper would have been a sweet add but that's okay I'll talk to drpepper about that! The views were great too! Tamara and oniel were some amazing bar tenders!! ONIEL the private driver was awesome and so helpful!

Horrible!!! Worse resort DON’T waste your time or money!! First we arrived and after traveling since 2am we were ready to get settled in. Our room was not ready on time at the 3pm check in time. We traveled with a group and we were the only couple that didn’t have a room. Someone finally came out to get out 45 mins later after waiting. Secondly, our lights that night kept turning on automatically while we were sleeping so we had to keep getting up to turn them off. How frustrating it is when you can’t sleep after long day of traveling! Third, our safe in our room did not work properly so we couldn’t lock our viable things up. The safe wouldn’t lock, as we kept getting an error. The refrigerator kept going out also. You can tell our room needs work and the upkeep is being neglected. Fourth, we PAID for the exhale club. So We were promised a welcome gift in the room upon arrival on the travel itinerary it mentioned a welcome gift and champagne. We didn’t have that in our room, I had to mention this to Front desk. Then they eventually bought it to our room. Also, included in the exhale club, we were supposed to enjoy premium liquor. The resort bars ran out of the only two brands that we wanted to drink. One the second night they even mentioned they had to do a store run. It’s very unprofessional and upsetting to know as a guest You purchase a package and the resort is not up to par and can’t deliver what you want. An all inclusive resort should never run out of something guests were promised. Fifth issue we had was a constant noise in our room so we couldn’t sleep. Update: So we found out it was coming from the rooftop pool. Maintenance came to the room and had to turn a pump off so we could not hear the noise. Also, when there are events at night they are held in the lobby so you can’t sleep due to the loud music. It was not a smart idea to have entertainment and dj in lobby at night. We travel to relax and rest. And this vacation was the worse vacation my husband and I have experienced. And FYI the other people the group also had issues with different things so it wasn’t just us!

My partner and I have recently returned from celebrating her Birthday at Breathless Montego Bay resort, and aside from a little first night hiccup our vacation was positively amazing. The surrounding grounds are aesthetically beautiful, our dining experience equally so. However, what makes Breathless a resort that we intend on revisiting are the staffs, which are positively first-class (hard working with little or no reward or recognition). I could name all that we came in contact with. However, our butler lady Valerie and Kenroy, was simple amazing (their attention to details was truly exceptional) Lady Melisa (at the omelette stand) was an absolute joy each morning. Radalfi, ensured that our today was gonna be better than our yesterday. And now, Ranae our Guest Relation Manager, I cannot express just how outstanding she was, she made it her number one priority that my partner and I had the most memorable of experiences, she was Simple the BEST...Message to management, you guys are truly fortunate to have a Team of such high standards, so Please, Invest in them. They make the Difference.

There is no waiting to exhale here. From chocolate covered dancers, night nurse models, trapeze artists, crowned by good food, endless booze, clubs, silent disco…. Breathless… very apt name for stunning performances and djs that knew what party means lol. Go and experience and get your own private pics lolll

A Truly Unforgettable Stay! From start to finish, our stay was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The resort is perfectly located, with stunning views and easy access to local attractions. The Jamaican food was out of this world — every bite was full of flavor and authenticity. I want to give huge shoutout to Bellboy Stephen, who went above and beyond to make sure we were always having a great time. His positive energy and dance moves were the highlight of the night. Bartender Keino at the Altitude Rooftop Bar, kept the good vibes flowing with perfectly mixed drinks and a welcoming attitude. We also had the pleasure of chatting with lifeguard Audley (Tony), whose stories about Jamaican culture and his younger days gave us a deeper appreciation for the island. But most of all, I want to recognize Radalfi and Demar, part of the hotel management team, for truly going the extra mile. They consistently checked in to make sure everything was perfect and that we were having the best time of our lives. Their attentiveness, warmth, and genuine care made us feel like family, not just guests. In fact, because of the incredible staff, we ended up extending our stay by an extra day — we simply didn’t want to leave! We left with full hearts, big smiles, and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend this resort — we’ll definitely be back!

Secrets St. James Montego Bay is an all-inclusive resort with stunning sea views, 9 restaurants, 2 outdoor pools, and a spa. As part of the World of Hyatt Inclusive Collection, it shares amenities with its sister resort, Secrets Wild Orchid. Guests can enjoy access to bars, restaurants, and pools on both sides of the property. The resort offers a variety of dining options including ethnically focused restaurants and an international buffet.
An incredible hotel. Came recently with my wife and honestly from the moment we arrived to the second we left we had an amazing time. The staff are all excellent, from the front desk to the multi talented entertainment team, the chefs to the cleaners everyone is just so helpful and friendly and made our stay so comfortable and memorable. The facilities are fantastic, brilliant restaurants, beautiful sea views, great pools and an all round vibe. One of those resorts I most certainly will return to someday.

Nice hotel, staff was amazing, food was good. The spa was my favorite experience at this property. I didn't like that they tried to sell us wine on multiple occasions -at an all inclusive. You cant make a hibachi reservation in advance but when you get there, there are no availabilities. A good portion of the beach had seaweed so we had less area to swim.

Exceptional Stay – Beyond Our Expectations! Our recent stay at this hotel was nothing short of maximum in terms of our experience. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was unmatched. The front desk staff who checked us in were incredibly warm, welcoming, and accommodating, ensuring that every detail was taken care of so we could have the best time possible. A special mention goes to the concierge, who went above and beyond to help us celebrate our friend’s birthday. The room was beautifully decorated, making the occasion even more special and memorable it was such a thoughtful touch that truly set this hotel apart.(I provided the balloons) Throughout our stay, every single staff member in the restaurant, bar, and entertainment areas showed the same level of genuine care and friendliness. Service was consistent, professional, and always delivered with a smile. This was a stay where every detail was handled to perfection, and it’s clear that the staff take great pride in making guests feel valued. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return

From the moment we got to the property it was the beginning of an amazing vacation. The staff was engaging and welcoming. They greeted us with "welcome home" and made us feel at home. If you are looking for relaxation with your spouse you will find it here and don't need to leave the resort. Most of the staff are the friendliest we've encountered. I say most because there is always one person who is having a bad day. We will definitely come back and spend more time at this fabulous resort.

We went here for our holiday this year and omggg. I'm sooo happy we did, it was also my birthday as well so we did it up. Jamaica is amazing, the food, the people and this hotel was absolutely fantastic, it had everything you can think of. The restaurant were all good, very clean. They definitely go above and beyond. The room service, the house keepers, the bartenders and the entertainment was all excellent. I will definitely be back.

Every aspect of my stay was amazing, from the clean open beach area to a relaxing room. But what made this resort stand out to me the most is the Preferred Club Receptionist, Anika. She got us through the check in process fast and very friendly. As our time there went on, she made a point to interact with us when we walked through the lobby. One day she worked an extremely long shift and when we said good night, so was just as chipper as she was first thing in the morning. She was back the next am, and you would never would of know she was only gone a couple hours. She greats everyone with a warm genuine smile and makes a point to make people feel at home.
Kristine D — Google review
We had a wonderful time here. There were a few issues that made me rate it a 4 instead of 5. We went during the off season so they are doing renovations to the property, and of course the construction was right outside our room. We were livid, the noise was so loud and unbearable. We talked to concierge and I also put a scathing review in the Hyatt Inclusive app that night and they moved us to a nicer room on the Preferred side the next day. So, first day was a loss because we arrived around noon and had to wait until 3 to check in...which is standard with these resorts but we were so tired from the travel we just wanted to get settled in our room. The Preferred side was nice..the room was pretty much the same though with the exception of having a jacuzzi on the balcony. The ocean view was lovely. The pool was quiet on the Preferred side, but we were incredibly disappointed to find out they charge for the cabanas...$100-$350 a day! That's so crazy when we spent almost $6000 to stay there a week. The restaurants were good and the entertainment was decent. The only draw back to staying on the Preferred side is that there's a lot a walking back and forth to get to the main restaurants since it's 2 resorts together. Overall we did enjoy our stay and many of the staff were wonderful and made our stay more pleasant. They will drive you on the golf carts if you need it. Billy Love (15 year tenured employee) and Chevaughn were exceptional. We probably won't go back to Secrets though. There's just so many other resorts with better amenities and free cabanas on the beach and by the pool. We go to the Caribbean to relax and lounge by the pool and on the beach so that makes a difference to us. The spa was excellent though. And just a warning if you're thinking about getting married there...it literally rains at almost the same time every day. We saw several weddings get rained out. We went there during Jamaican Independence Day, so that was cool since they had a few celebrations on the property.

Review of St. James Montego Bay, Jamaica I recently stayed at St. James Montego Bay to celebrate my 50th birthday, and I’d like to share my honest experience. Arrival & Room: Upon arrival, it was raining heavily, and we waited about 45 minutes in reception before being directed to our room. As members, we had requested a birthday banner in advance, but unfortunately this was never honored despite several follow-ups. The room itself was in good condition with comfortable bedding, crisp linens, and a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. We also had a hot tub, which was a wonderful extra touch. However, we were shocked to discover two pairs of dirty underwear left in the shower. Given that we were told there were two housekeepers (day and night), this oversight was disappointing and concerning. Food & Dining: Food was available from morning until night, though most venues closed for two hours to prepare for dinner. As a foodie, I would rate the overall food about 4.5/10. The highlight was our rooftop dinner at Breathless, which I would rate five stars—it was by far the best dining experience at the resort, along with the jerk chicken truck (though wait times were long). The grills also had extended waits (25–30 minutes for chicken), which was surprising given that the resort was only about 50% occupied. Breakfast, however, was excellent with a wide buffet selection and welcoming service. Service & Staff: Service was inconsistent. While we enjoyed renting a cabana, there were several times we had to get up to get our own food and drinks. It’s important to note that, although gratuity is included, having cash for tipping made a noticeable difference in service quality. On one occasion at El Pato, the service was so poor and uncomfortable that we left without finishing our meal and did not return. The most concerning issue happened at the front desk. When checking in, staff asked my sisters and me if we were married. When we said yes, they followed up by asking if we were “married married,” and then questioned why we weren’t wearing wedding rings. This exchange was extremely inappropriate, uncomfortable, and left me feeling uneasy about both security and respect at the resort. This is something management should address immediately. Entertainment & Atmosphere: On a positive note, the entertainment options we experienced were enjoyable. We loved the Silent Disco and Bob Marley night—both had a great atmosphere, music, and energy. Overall: While there were some enjoyable aspects—the ocean view, rooftop dining, entertainment, and price point—there were too many missed opportunities for excellence. Between housekeeping oversights, inconsistent service, long food wait times, and especially the inappropriate questioning at the front desk, my experience fell short of expectations for such a special occasion. I will return to Montego Bay in the future, but moving forward, I plan to stay at Sandals to see if they can earn my loyalty.

S Hotel Montego Bay is a polished and sleek boutique hotel located conveniently just 2km from Sangster International Airport. It offers airy quarters with sea views, providing a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day.
Our family stayed at the S Hotel, Montego Bay May 7 to May 14, 2025 to celebrate our family reunion, for six of us are siblings who were born in Jamaica but the others had come to love the island for its connection to family. Our group was large, for it included 17 members with one member requiring accommodation for a wheelchair. The hotel was very helpful and considerate in ensuring he had access to his guest room and all the facilities at the hotel. The location of the hotel on Doctor’s Cave Beach and its proximity to nearby shops and the airport made our stay enjoyable as well as convenient. The beach was wonderful, clean, and valued patrons’ privacy. We enjoyed the food. The all inclusive menu was varied, offering a variety of Jamaican specialties as well as Western food. Like a true Jamaican host the food was served with a generous hand. The service was impeccable; all the staff were kind, polite, and helpful. The activities and games were fun. When one of the sisters met the pastry chef, Chef offered to make us a special sweet potato pudding to celebrate our reunion. It was a sweet offer showing how much the values of Jamaica haven’t changed; that family is and always will be a central value.

An incredible stay. The setting is magnificent, everything has been designed to make us live in a magnificent setting. The team is helpful and attentive, you will want for nothing. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the airport and on an iconic boulevard of the city, which makes getting around easy. The food, activities and events offered will allow you to fully enjoy Jamaica. Thank you to the entire team at the S Hotel, I highly recommend it.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about S Hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our birthday stay memorable. Front desk was friendly, helpful and accommodating, beach staff made sure we had a comfortable place to sit and had drinks delivered when needed, all restraunt & bar staff was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Andre who made sure we had everything we needed and had fun our entire trip. From daily activities, off site excursions and a nice variety of places to eat- this place is a top notch resort and we look forward to coming back soon! We had so much fun we extended our stay for another day. 🫣😅

The location is far from most attractions but the beach is amazing. They have rooms of all sizes but the mini is just too mini. Food was decent but I really can't compliment the staff enough. Paula, Marlon, Roy, Kayla, Andre, and all those who tended our rooms and meals were top notch. We asked for a different room and they were able to accommodate us the same day. I'd say if you are in Montego bay for a few days to enjoy the beach this is a great place. I would not recommend for long stays due to distance, local area, and food options get repeated a lot.

We had a wonderful vacation at S Hotel last weekend and were quickly reminded about the wonderful island of Jamaica! We have visited Montego Bay before and enjoyed the island but your hotel provided a more authentic and intimate experience than we previously had. The vibe and view walking into to the lobby was exceptional. We appreciated all of the heritage spread in artwork and statues around the hotel and loved the S Club decor. Our families had amazing accommodations and meals daily and the staff was top notch. Marlon made us feel very comfortable and was great with the kids. We spent some time on the pickleball court and attended sip and paint one of the days to get full usage of the amenities provided. S Hotel is a special experience and we loved sharing that with our kids. The meals at Rocksteady and Jamrock were top notch and the daily buffet had something for everyone while getting to try local dishes. My daughter found her new favored meal in lamb which she never had before! Thank you-our family had a vacation to remember. We will be back and experience more of what Jamaica has to offer!

I stayed at the S Hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and everything about my experience was perfect—from the stunning lobby to the breathtaking beach views. One of my favorite moments was relaxing by the poolside at night, where the views were absolutely gorgeous. Dinner at the RockSteady restaurant was a highlight, with dishes that were both delicious and beautifully plated. The buffet also became a favorite and I honestly wished I could take the food home with me! 😂 The staff were exceptional: warm, polite, and attentive, truly making my stay even more memorable. I also loved the live music and evening entertainment, which added such a vibrant touch. Overall, my stay was wonderful, and I can’t wait to return and relive the experience!

I had an unforgettable three-night stay at this all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional. A special thank you goes to Monique Bendison, who made our check-in smooth and pleasant while assisting with our reservation. The dining experience was nothing short of phenomenal—every meal was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The rooftop pool views were breathtaking, and the servers there were always courteous, friendly, and attentive, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Delroy is the man! He is very pleasant, friendly and understands customer service. I loved the combination of options, from relaxing by the multiple pools to taking a short walk to the beach, giving me the best of both worlds. This property truly exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of luxury, relaxation, and warm Jamaican hospitality in Montego Bay. Definitely worth it!

Hotel Riu Montego Bay is an upscale, all-inclusive beach resort in Montego Bay. The elegant rooms offer sea views and the property features a full-service spa for massages and facials. Guests can enjoy 5 outdoor swimming pools, a nightclub, and a complimentary water park. The warm Jamaican vibe and stunning sea views make it stand out among other resorts, promising an unforgettable vacation experience.
This was my first time staying at this hotel and it was a wonderful experience. Check in was smooth and I really liked that the hotel was close to shopping and the airport. The staff was the top highlight. Everyone from the entertainment staff, to the front desk staff, to the servers in the restaurants, was amazing. There was never a moment that we needed something that they didn't already anticipate it or provide it. The staff here obviously works very hard and it was very much appreciated it. The food was also very good. As someone who's family is Jamaican, I can be very particular with resorts making local food well and I have to give props to the chefs because they did a great job with the variety, spice level and general taste of dishes. This was a short trip this time but I will definitely be returning in the future.

Pros: The location was not too bad. Easy to find in central area. I enjoyed breakfast and that was basically it as it relates to pros for me. Cons: As for the cons, 1. I asked to them to decorate my boyfriend’s on his birthday and they came one day after with a letter a small coffee bag with just “happy belated birthday” which was soo unfortunate because I was very detailed with my request and that was not fulfilled. 2. The building seems a bit older than the Ochi building and the layout was not what I had expected. 3. Food selection for the buffet lacked variety. It was same food selections for the days I was there and the sports bar, they need to check their food because the patty was stale. So stale I had to spit it out. 4. Maybe because of the days I stayed, entertainment was not really entertaining. I think I definitely preferred ochi rather than Mobay. My expectations for Riu Mobay was high but the expectations were not met.

I stayed at Riu Montego Bay with my mom for our birthdays, and while we met a few friendly and welcoming staff when we first arrived, our overall experience was disappointing. When we checked in, we had issues accessing our bank account due to not having international service. I asked guest services if I could use the phone to call a taxi, and one of the employees at the desk was extremely rude — speaking about me right in front of me and even using inappropriate language. As someone who has worked in hospitality for over three years, I found this behavior completely unprofessional. One of the male staff members did his best to stay polite and assist, but the situation left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. When I reported the incident, I was told the employee was spoken to, but she denied everything. Instead of a sincere resolution, the resort offered us a pack of coffee as an apology, which felt dismissive. To make matters worse, the room was not properly cleaned when we checked in. It looked like someone had used the bathroom before we arrived — there were droplets of urine on the toilet seat. I took a picture and planned to report it, but my mom was already too frustrated after a long travel day to deal with switching rooms. While housekeeping later did an excellent job during the rest of our stay and were friendly and attentive, the initial cleanliness was unacceptable. We were also placed in a room far from the main areas of the resort, requiring us to walk long distances and go up and down stairs daily. This was especially difficult for my mom, who is an older woman. Overall, while a few staff members were kind and professional, the level of service and cleanliness we experienced was far below what I’ve known from the RIU brand. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again and would not recommend this resort, especially to those looking for a smooth, hospitable experience in Jamaica.

Went during hurricane season for a great value. All of the staff was very friendly and made an effort to be helpful. However, the specialty restaurants were very bad, the alcohol very watered down (significantly moreso than usual for all inclusives), and the beach was full of seaweed. Having said that it was easy to make the most of these limitations. Rooms (ocean suite) were nice, serviceable, and adept at keeping out noise. Blankets are thin so you may want to bring your own if you get cold easily. The buffet meals had some of the best food I’ve had at resort buffets which balances out the poor specialty restaurants. Surprisingly adequate gym.

3.5/5 stars. The entire staff was friendly and fun. The room was so nice and clean. The food was AMAZING, we tried all of the specialty restaurants and they were fabulous. The beach was okay but too small and lots of seaweed. The hotel was SO loud literally all the time no matter where you went and not relaxing. I think the hotel could do a better job at making it more relaxing for people. I would not recommend going here if you’re looking to relax. Unsure if we’d go back because of this

I’m currently staying at the Riu Montego Bay. I’m having the worse experience ever. The kitchen staff/ chef are condescending, dismissive and unprofessional. The first room I was placed in reeked of an unsanitary smell and had obvious remnants of cigarette smoke. The curtains appeared to have fecal matter on them. The room in general was dusty and smelled like moldy carpet but had no carpet. Additionally, there are roaches on the elevators and the common areas don’t appear to be clean. I’m so disappointed, insulted and disgusted by this hotel. I would’ve never imagined that such a reputable hotel would present itself in this manner. Upon speaking to the front desk manager, it was clear that he failed to maintain the integrity of the company by not accommodating my needs, and not compensating me for the awful experience. Due to the incompetency and rudeness of the kitchen staff/chef I’m going to bed hungry and on the brink of tears. Although, the front desk manager was apologetic he still allowed me to leave dissatisfied and without an immediate clear solution. I’m stuck at this hotel and I’ve wasted my money for an experience that didn’t come anywhere close to my expectations of the RiU experience. I would rather book an early flight back home and pay an unexpected crazy expense than to stay in these awful conditions and be mistreated, and dissatisfied. I have spent too much money and my sisters birthday is now ruined. This experience was awful. I don’t feel welcomed or well cared for. I’m not comfortable and this just doesn’t give luxurious. Most importantly the chef made me food with something I was allergic to after I called the hotel days prior to coming, wrote a thorough email containing my food allergies, confirmed them with the front desk and verified with the chef when my order was taken. To make matters worse, these things were acknowledged and clarified with the staff and chef that those allergens would result in anaphylactic shock; hence lead to a potential mortality. Could you imagine if I would have ate it? I don’t recommend! 0 out of 10!

The room was nice. We had a garden view room with king bed. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room. Just sleep and shower. Staff was friendly and attentive. The alcohol was definitely watered down. Had 7 Bob Marley's in a row to test the theory... not even a buzz. Would buy alcohol at the airport next time. The main buffet and Asian fusion restaurant were good. Didn't eat anywhere else at the resort. Which there were more restaurant choices.

Overall iyr stay was fun. It's a party vibe and the rooms were good. The elevators were not great...very old and seem to struggle in operations...at times we thought wenwere stuck in the elevator. No room service offered, and no beachside service. The buffet was pretty good the Chinese and Italian restaurants...not so much. While the drinks are included as part only the all inclusive...they had no top shelf liquor options and the luquor in the rooms are not a great selection. Location to the airport is within 10 mins and because it's adult only it is 420 friendly. All and all we had a good time, undecided on whether I will be returning to this specific location

We had an amazing stay at Villa Half Moon and are truly thankful for the unforgettable week we spent there. The villa was beautiful, peaceful, and just what we needed — but what made the experience truly special was the exceptional service. A heartfelt thank you to Gawain — Mr. G — who went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home every single day. From the smallest details to the thoughtful touches, he made everything easy, smooth, and enjoyable. Always present, never intrusive, always kind and professional — Mr. G truly elevated our stay. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff who made our stay so special. From the wonderful woman who prepared our breakfast every morning, to the one who kept the villa spotless every day, and the person who maintained our pool — your kindness and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. Everyone played a part in making this a truly memorable experience for us. We left with great memories and deep gratitude. Looking forward to coming back someday. Thank you again!

This has been our resort of choice for several years. The food is magnificent and the location is ideal. The recent upgrades have been appreciated. However the quality of the staff has steadily been declining. The service was disappointing and frankly, the management seems cavalier about it. There will always be stand outs. Talent and conscientiousness speak for themselves. But outside of that, attention to training is key. There has been a steep decline in that department. The room service staff is always top notch. But good luck with housekeeping, grounds personnel and the regular wait staff. I hope that an intervention can be run before the experiences are totally ruined by a lack of kindness, plain rudeness and a generalized spirit of unwillingness. No one is asking for colonial genuflecting, just basic customer service training.

During our honeymoon in Montego Bay, we spent a day at Half Moon Resort, and it was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the kindest hospitality and surrounded by the most breathtaking scenery. The resort is stunning — peaceful, beautifully maintained, and truly feels like paradise. We enjoyed every minute of our day pass experience. The water was crystal clear and calm, and we practically had the beach to ourselves. It was so relaxing and romantic — the perfect escape for newlyweds. The food and drinks were delicious, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Half Moon Resort is luxury, tranquility, and beauty all in one. Whether you’re staying overnight or visiting on a day pass, it’s a must-visit spot in Montego Bay. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and even more in love. ❤️

My absolute favourite hotel in Montego Bay! The property is quite vast and serene. I usually stay by Founders Cove and I enjoy the beach, it always feels like it’s my private beach. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and I’ve always enjoyed the food although it’s a little pricey (at least it’s been consistently good). Despite being right along a main road I’ve never had any issues with noise. It’s a great place for a little romantic getaway or even for a personal escape from daily life

We did not stay at the Hotel itself but visited the SPA. The ladies at the SPA desk were so helpful and friendly with booking us and explaining everything to us. This SPA was a nice experience with being able to visit the sauna/steam room before our massage. The only thing that threw me off was during the massage there was no music going..typically there is like a rain sound going or something like that,

This was our first time at Half Moon, and everything about the experience was impeccable. The property is beautifully maintained, the complimentary bikes were a fun and easy way to get around, and every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and kind. A special thank you to Joy, David, Claudio, and the entire culinary team at Founder's Cove—every meal was delicious and unforgettable. I had a few special Jamaican food requests and dietary restrictions, and they made it all happen with such care and generosity. I couldn't be more grateful. Founder's Cove was wonderful, despite what some reviews have stated online. We’re already dreaming about our return. Half Moon is truly something special.

We were placed at this hotel for one night by Virgin Atlantic due to an 18-hour flight delay, and I can only say that the resort is absolutely incredible. The grounds are vast, spotless, and truly breathtaking. We arrived quite late, and during check-in, the receptionist had us sign a bike waiver. My husband and I, exhausted from the long journey, didn’t understand why this was necessary and signed it, assuming we wouldn’t need the bikes. However, after exploring the resort, we quickly realised that the grounds are so large that using a bike is essential to getting around. It would have been helpful for the receptionist to explain this to us, as it made the bikes vital for getting from one place to another. Without them, it would have taken at least 30 minutes to walk to the lobby for dinner. Upon being driven to our room by a hotel attendant in a buggy (again, because of how large the grounds are), the experience took a bit of a turn. The attendant didn’t communicate with us at all and drove extremely fast, almost as though he were annoyed by our late arrival due to the flight delay. This was disappointing, especially since we had no idea where we were going. When we arrived at our suite (the Eclipse Room, which was a lovely gesture), we had to go upstairs, but the attendant just dropped us off at the side and didn’t offer to help with our luggage. While we’re not entitled guests, it would have been a nice touch for him to offer assistance, especially since it seemed like an oversight on his part. He didn’t even say goodbye, which made me assume his shift was over, but regardless, the lack of interaction was a bit disappointing. After such a long journey, we were hoping for a little more warmth and guidance from the hotel staff. While we understand they may have been busy, a simple greeting and an offer to assist with our luggage would have gone a long way to make us feel more welcomed. A little courtesy can make a big difference, especially when guests are arriving at night after a delay. On a positive note, once we entered our room, we were in awe. It was beautiful, immaculate, and perfectly appointed. The bed was also incredibly comfortable, and I truly had no complaints about the room. Considering our late arrival (around 10 PM), the kitchen staff thoughtfully arranged a burger and chips for us, and it was surprisingly delicious. The dining staff were wonderful, and we were grateful for their hospitality, especially as we had to use the bikes to get to the dining area and got a little lost in the dark. Fortunately, a kind hotel attendant we bumped into offered to guide us there, which was much appreciated. In the morning, with daylight, we could fully appreciate the luxury of this resort. It’s massive, pristine, and quiet. Breakfast was divine, and the staff in the kitchen area were exceptional. Keron, the smoothie guy, and one of the chefs, known as "Mr. Make it Happen," were particularly fantastic. Their friendly personalities really stood out, and we felt well taken care of. Despite the negative customer service from the first hotel attendant who took us to our room and the lack of communication from the reception staff regarding the bikes, overall, it was truly an incredible and memorable stay. The resort is filled with beautiful palm trees and lush vegetation throughout, making it an unforgettable experience.

This was my third stay at the hotel, and while there are some positives worth noting, the overall service experience left us disappointed and made our stay far less enjoyable than it should have been. On the positive side, the hotel itself is beautiful. The location is excellent, the grounds are spacious, and the pools and common areas are well designed. A few members of the staff—particularly some of the wait staff—delivered outstanding service, going out of their way to be kind, attentive, and professional. Those moments of excellence stood out and made a real difference. Unfortunately, the overall service fell well below expectations. The check-in process set the tone: the staff member who assisted us was neither warm nor welcoming, and instead came across as curt, argumentative, and even hostile. She refused to honor the AmEx Fine Hotels & Resorts benefits that were clearly included with our reservation, despite my providing proof and a receipt. Rather than resolving the issue, she insisted I contact American Express directly—even though I was out of the country—an unreasonable expectation for a returning guest. The way she handled the situation, and her dismissive attitude when I asked about the room upgrade, was a poor start to our stay. Other service gaps continued throughout. Some restaurant staff were polite and professional, but others seemed uninterested, unfriendly, or only became attentive after receiving a tip. At times, it felt like service was based on a quid pro quo rather than genuine hospitality, which is not the experience you expect at a property of this caliber. The room assignment also created challenges. We were placed at one far end of the resort, nearly half a mile from the only open pool. With two children, this was difficult to manage. After requesting a closer room, we were moved—but only three buildings closer—leaving the pool still a significant distance away. To make matters worse, the beach near our room was not maintained to the same standard as the beaches closer to the center of the resort, further diminishing the experience. Lastly, while the food was good, it was very expensive for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, the amenities and a few exceptional staff members prevented this from being a truly terrible stay. But the disappointing service—not just unfriendly, but at times outright rude—overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable return visit.

Sandals Montego Bay is a luxurious all-inclusive resort designed exclusively for couples. The resort offers a wide range of accommodations, from deluxe guest rooms to beachfront swim-up suites with spacious patios and spa-style bathrooms. Guests can enjoy unlimited access to 12 on-site restaurants, premium spirits, scuba diving, snorkeling, live shows, tennis, water sports, and fitness centers.
I will start by saying those who complain- you’re the problem 1. You can’t get any better than being 7 minutes from the airport with a prompt pickup after sliding through Club Mobay 2. The second we hit the resort (this is our 7th Sandals stay) everyone could not have been nicer, every single person/staff we encountered would say hi- ask how the day was- if we needed anything 3. The food actually was pretty good. Keep in mind- portions are smaller than home (which is prob for the best) but we didn’t have a bad meal. Got into Butchs twice/ they recently updated their menu and I LOVED IT (also they now offer a sit down breakfast which I think is new) 4. Get the signature roll from Soy 5. Get the Espresso Martini from the bar next to Soy/Butchs 6. To our butlers Dalton & Cassandra. Thank you. Thank you for being the warm, stress free energy we both needed. Thank you for the incredible lunches, the small details that made our anniversary trip unforgettable and the daily hugs (Cassandra). You have the most tiring job but you do it with a smile on your face and I wanted to let you know how much you are appreciated 7. Take care of the orange kitty Book the trip- make the memories and can’t wait to see you all again soon!!!

The experiences we encountered during this trip was so ridiculous I would never step foot in Jamaica. I was so excited to finally experience Sandals since it was highly recommended. From start to finish the staff was HORRIBLE. We were ignored to the point when we asked for help or service at the pool we got big attitudes. One of the staff members told us “ we could get our own drinks “ even though she was going around being friendly and attending to everyone else. We were so turned off by the aggressive remarks that we didn’t ask for nothing. One of the members of the trip wanted to speak to a manager about the service we have been experiencing all weekend , that was a joke, her attitude was worse than her staff. We have been so polite and tried to just wing it but even to the last minute when getting on the bus to go back home from the resort one of the men, don’t recall his name had hazel eyes was putting us on the bus and checking us off loudly said Get on the bus let’s go. He said it so loudly I was so shocked. He seem annoyed and was so aggressive. The only staff member that was nice was a man named Ian and the bartender towards the end she felt so bad for us cause she was the only one that we would try and look for to ask for help. We gave her all the tips we could because it was a breath of fresh air to get a nice person in that place.

From he first time stepping off the plane, 5 star experience sandals lounge with red stripe and red stripe light on tap. The staff all were overly amazing. Then the strorm hit wrecked the the place. At this point I would like to give them 7 stars. The way the staff took care of us during this storm not being able to get ahold of there own families while displaying smiles and comfort for us. I would like to make two huge shout outs to Vernon which I believe was the general manager stayed very professional and also went above in beyond keeping us updated and always accessible. Daneree which luckily happened to be our neighbor was so comforting, informative, genuine, a absolutely breathe of fresh air and again i repeat she was also a person who didnt know if her family was safe or still went out her way every chance she got to make sure we was good and tht includes the whole staff. All the days we wasnt able to fly out was complimentary which later I found out alot of places charged a distress rate ate 700 dollars but not sandals. They fed us everyday 3 meals one being oxtails and and another being surf and turf this is my first experience in Jamaica and sandals. Im here to say the best experience of customer experience I've ever saw. I strongly recommend every visit this resort its worth it. Ill definitely be booking with them again.

This was our first time traveling to Jamaica and visiting Sandals and we were EXTREMELY dissatisfied. We were not made aware that the hotel was under renovations which blocked several views that was promised in the lobby and restaurants. The room was okay - bed was super uncomfortable. I expected more for a honeymoon suite room. My boyfriend now fiancé planned a beautiful proposal on the beach and hired their photographer AND HE MISSED THE MONEY SHOT. The picture of him on his knee on the beach was not taken and the next day when we saw the pictures the staff and manager had big attitudes and we basically had to beg for them to comp us just $400. The proposal and photographer was hundreds of dollars more than that. They wasted several hours of our last night and morning “waiting for a manager” Christopher (one of the 3 managers we talked to) who still couldn’t do anything and had to escalate things more but it would take more time. Staff rude especially at the photo place - DO NOT GET KEVIN AS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER. It’s like pulling teeth trying to get managements attention. We sent an email to Vernon Johnson the General Manager in hopes to get compensation for the money my fiancé paid for the photographer. Doubt we’d get a response. I am an avid traveler and a travel agent. You are better off staying at a nicer resort where you can’t hear airplanes taking off every 30min.

We went on our honeymoon and I expected a lot more than what we received. First let's start with the room. It was nice sized and right on the beach with a great bathroom. Negatives about the room is the ventilation fan in the bathroom did not work. The AC does not go below 68 so during the day it can not keep up and the rooms feel very humid. Cools down ok at night. Then we also had the honeymoon package added which we did not get. Next the service was decent. Most of the bartenders were fairly rude and took awhile to get you a drink. As for restaurants we tried them all. Nothing really stuck out and really made us want to come back. Our favorite was Soy which is a Sushi bar restaurant but it also had the longest wait. One night almost waited 2 hours just for some soup and sashimi. Now for location it is fantastic, you are literally right on the beach and we spent most of our days in the ocean or longue by a pool until dinner time. Very relaxing and beautiful. I would go back but so upgrades are definitely needed

The room was beautiful, and so was the island. The fact that it is all-inclusive makes planning great and easy. But honestly, it was the people that made the vacation even better. Everyone we dealt with at the resort was so nice and friendly, and always accommodating. If we decide to do another Caribbean vacation, it will probably be with Sandals again!

We went to Montego Bay for our 25th anniversary and everything about the trip was amazing. I must first say that our butler Antonio was the best! He catered to our EVERY need. Not only was it our anniversary but it was also my husband’s birthday. Antonio went out of his way to set up our room with decorations and rose petals across the floor, bed and tub while we were on the beach. My only issue was the food. I truly didn’t like anything but the steak and Lobster.

I will start with negative. Humidity is off the charts. Beds could be softer. Need more trash cans setup. Now positives. Entertainment was off the charts. One name we remember is Super Mario he was incredible. Made you feel welcome and appreciated. To the gal that did omelettes she called me Santa Clause she was great. To the lady that did the pastry, coffee shop she was great. All front desk ladies very helpful. Candle light dinner for our 50th anniversary was memorable. Blue Mountain Coffee on my can’t say enough.

Hotel Riu Reggae is an upscale, adults-only beach property located near Sangster International Airport. It's part of a trio of Riu hotels and offers a comprehensive all-inclusive package with direct beach access. The hotel has a large-scale, unpretentious party vibe and features five eateries, four bars, and two pools with live entertainment. The contemporary rooms are simple but crisp, coming in blue and white with minibars for DIY top-ups.
I spent a week at Rui Reggae to celebrate my birthday, and it was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The resort is all-inclusive, and the food was consistently delicious with plenty of variety, there was always something new and tasty to try! One of my favorite things about staying at Rui Reggae was the access to all the nearby Rui resorts, which meant there was always something fun to do. Whether it was lounging by the pool, joining in on the entertainment, or exploring different dining options, we were never bored. The nightly entertainment was lively and fun, but never too loud, I was still able to get a restful night’s sleep. The staff were absolutely amazing, professional, friendly, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Our room was spotless and super comfortable. To top it all off, my room was specially decorated for my birthday! I suspect my boyfriend made a request ahead of time, but I was completely surprised and touched by the thoughtful gesture. There was also a convenient on-site store with cool souvenirs, snacks, and great discounts. I was able to pick up some small gifts and treats without even leaving the resort. Overall, Rui Reggae made my birthday one to remember. I’m already looking forward to going back, and when I do, I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Rooms are a little tired but spotlessly clean. ALL hotel staff are amazing from porters all the way through. So friendly. Food great in all restaurants but the jerk BBQ, available every day, is amazing. Cocktail menu is extensive and branded spirits available upon request. Fab. Animation team work so very hard and very talented. Really enjoyed the whole experience

Me and my sister both 50 years old stayed for 1 week from 10th September 2025 the complex is small perfect for people with reduced mobility. Top tip take US Dollers not jamaican. The pools are gorgeous with seats all round edges infinity sea views no steps on to beach loads of sun beds swim up bar in main pool big enough to sit and relax while activities going on. All 4 bars staff very friendly and very hard working the smoothies are excellent only went to the main buffet restaurant food ok could do with being a bit warmer and more boneless options staff again could not fault. All staff even cleaners and ground work say hello/ morning the entertainment team are all very hard working and friendly will still chat to you even if you dont want to join activities the games are fun to watch for all ages the evening entertainment is good they are all amazing dancers. The room are basic with plenty of room we stayed in 77 behind the stage yes you can hear the music but it's not to loud. A big thankyou to all of them especially Bubbles, Omar, Marco, Pinapple. Just a few improvements could make it perfect. a set of toilets somewhere near the towel hut grips on the feet of the beds so they dont move when you sit on them option for a matress topper we found the beds hard and lumpy so a topper would help. The lights above the headbourd are low and big so you cant sit on bed to watch tv as you bang your head . The shop is expensive for snacks the bar could have these even sell them thing like mini chedders, twix, nuts. Another idea is some chairs on the beach as some people cant get on the beds also something on when you have riu party's we could not stand or sit for the beach party so could not be involved you could have a video playing the same music on screen so your not sat in the dark and something to do when the neon / white party is at the sister hotel even music videos of a mix of artists not just jamaican. Or a movie night musical playing. A few gaps in the beds on the beach so you can have a full sea views while In the pool and watch the games properly Thankyou for an amazing holiday.

Great overall trip with my spouse, we didn't really have any complaints other than slow room service. Food was great, the resort was quiet-ish, and if you needed a bit more you could easily walk over to Montego Bay. The only other thing I'd mention is there is a lack of communication in what you can do. So make sure you ask, as we found that if you wanted a better night experience, you should walk over to the Montego Bay Resort (which is included for you if you stay here).

I will never stay at RIU Reggae ever again let alone a RIU hotel or resort. Let me start with the good stuff though. Check in was efficient, nice, and quick. We were offered complimentary drinks. Room was clean upon arrival. Me and my party booked with Delta Vacation so we had a shuttle take us to the resort. Also bar staff and cleaning staff are really nice. The breakfast food is really good and the entertainment is nice as well. Now with the bad stuff. This place is definitely not a 5 start resort more like 2.5-3 star. Within 2 hours of being here, me and my sister lost access to our room. Apparently the key sensor was broken…on the second night the same thing happened to our other party’s room. They were told they would be helped within 5 mins which was okay with them. The service man never ended up coming so we all went down to the front desk and asked about it, and they were giving us the run arounds. There was another couple who were also locked out of their room who were waiting in the lobby for over an hour. The manager named Sulyn was behind the desk laughing in our faces. Our friends ended up being locked out their room for about an hour. This made us late to reservations we had. They offered to give us complimentary champagne which makes absolutely no sense because we already paid for that in the all inclusive package…On our last night we were all enjoying the club at the sister hotel RIU Montego Bay about a 3 min walk away. Upon arrival back to RIU reggae we were yelled at by a man saying we weren’t allowed to have friends or guests here. The man was so aggressive and rude about it. Also on our last night me and my sister were woken up in our sleep by a man banging on our door super loud. Scared me but ended up being concierge bringing bags to the wrong room. He laughed about it and never apologized. Honestly there are so many better resorts here. if you do still want to stay at a RIU resort stay at RIU palace or RIU Montego Bay. RIU Reggae is the worse one of the three.

It was my 1st time staying at a resort. It was a fun-filled adventure. The food was ok repetitive but a good variety . The entertainment was the best. The Reggae could've had a little more to do late night by overall it served it's purpose.

Wonderful first experience at a RIU resort. RIU reggae displays the utmost care into ensuring everyone has a good time. The rooms were cleanly, the food delicious, and the vibes were great! Shout out to Bubbles for making our stay there super fun!
Tamika B — Google review
Although the staff and entertainment was absolutely amazing, there are several things that were extremely disappointing one being the food. We arrived on a Tuesday and had a difficult time making reservations at the restaurants only to be extremely disappointed with the food. Most restaurants were booked, what they call the steak house restaurant is not a restaurant, it’s outside in the heart behind the buffet. I have never had an experience where all four of the restaurants food was not good sad to say, but the buffet had better food than all of the restaurants. The food did not taste good there was no seasoning. Just absolutely disgusting!! I would never want to stay here solely for that reason. Also, the bed in the room was extremely hard. I had to request an additional four pillows to lay on the bed for comfort. There was mold in the shower in the bathroom, the room had a strong bleach smell and we had to request to be placed in another room. This is definitely not a five star resort more along the lines of a three star resort!

Hotel Riu Palace Jamaica is an upscale adults-only property located in Montego Bay, offering a luxurious beachfront experience. With 238 rooms, it sits next to its sister property, Riu Montego Bay. The hotel features high-end dining options, a spa for relaxation, and three infinity pools for guests to enjoy. Situated along the serene shoreline of Ironshore, this all-inclusive resort provides a perfect setting for leisure swims with calm waters created by offshore reefs.
We stayed here as a couple for two weeks and could not fault anything whilst we were here. The room was lovely and spacious, it was cleaned really well every single day. Housekeeping also came round at around 7pm to ask if we needed anything else. The food selection throughout the day was amazing, there were many different options to try including live cooking stations and lots of international dishes, the buffet was different every single day. We did try all the restaurants too and they were fantastic. All the staff were friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The waiters/waitresses were constantly walking round asking people if they needed any other drinks. Huge shoutout to the entertainment team (Astro, Dinero, Stringbean, Genius and Damo) who made our time at the hotel, the daily activities and night time entertainment they put on were brilliant and they always tried to include everyone, whether you joined in with the games or just spectated. They put so much effort in to everything and take time out of their day to chat to everyone. This hotel was the quieter out of the other two you could use, but as we enjoyed it so much we didn’t really need to visit the others. It was only at night when we went to see some of the shows at the other hotels, also every Friday they either have a neon party or a white party at the Riu Montego Bay. Thank you to everyone we met for making our holiday so memorable and enjoyable, it will without a doubt be somewhere we would look to go again in the future.

Review of RIU Palace Jamaica From the moment we walked in the door until the day we left, the staff at RIU Palace Jamaica was absolutely amazing. They were warm, welcoming, and always went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The property itself was very well maintained — we constantly saw cleaners out and about ensuring the grounds were spotless, safe, and inviting. The entertainment crew was truly the highlight of our trip. They brought so much energy, fun, and laughter that they made our stay incredibly memorable. The buffet was another standout, with an incredible variety of options. My tip: go within the first hour for the freshest selection. The drinks were also excellent — strong, flavorful, and plentiful. The beach is on the smaller side, but it’s kept very clean and still makes for a relaxing spot to unwind. Our Junior Suite with an ocean view was absolutely breathtaking — clean, spacious, and comfortable. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the mosquito spraying. There was no warning given when they sprayed, and as someone with severe lung issues, the smoke was overwhelming. It even set off the hotel’s emergency system, which shows how strong it was. A simple heads-up would have made a huge difference. Overall, though, RIU Palace Jamaica exceeded expectations and gave us a vacation to remember. Between the staff, entertainment, food, and stunning views, it’s a place I would absolutely recommend — just be mindful of the spraying if you have sensitivities.

Despite a rocky start to our stay, we had such a wonderful time. I’ll start with the good bc our overall experience was amazing. The location was nice bc after a long 12 hours of travel is was a quick 10 minute ride to the resort, the resort is clean and is constantly maintained by staff all day long. The entertainment team AMAZING! Genius, Astro, String Bean, Denaro, DJ Unstoppable, Bubbles, & Mario these guys work super hard but keep the fun times going. We enjoyed the daily pool dance/aerobics, games, and evening entertainment. For those of you making such a commotion about Riu being loud and for people who just want to party, you definitely did not do your research. Riu is a hotel that thrives on their entertainment so it’s your fault for not choosing the right hotel for you. For dining Biggie Don gave us incredible service nightly and she seemed to be training Rhonda which did a good job as well. I’ll end with the reason it was 4 vs 5 stars for us…after traveling a long overnight 12 hours from California, we were told we were too early for checkin (11am), we upgraded to an ocean view room and was told that they will try and get it ready quickly for us. They gave us our bracelet and we went to go get a drink and enjoy some lunch. We returned 12:30 and told us it still wasn’t ready but trying to get it ready. We sat in the lobby from 12:30 until 3:15 and literally watched every single person get checked in and escorted to their rooms. We asked about our room another 3x until they changed our room for the 3rd time and at 3:15 (15 minutes after check in time) took us to our rooms. That is not the proper way to treat your guests and not the first impression you want to give. If you are looking for a nice resort with a lot of activities then this is the place for you!!

We celebrated our anniversary at Riu Palace Jamaica and had an absolutely unforgettable experience. The resort itself is beautiful, but what truly made our stay astounding were the amazing staff members who went above and beyond to make us feel special. I especially want to recognize Chef Cindy, she went far beyond her role.To our surprise, Chef Cindy went out of her way during dinner to bring us a cake, making our anniversary evening extra memorable. That gesture may seem small, but it showed her genuine heart, thoughtfulness, and dedication to making guests feel valued. She is a true asset to Riu, and I sincerely hope her leadership sees how important she is to the team and overall guest experience. Every morning, Khadene crafted fresh juices and even made a special juice just for me—it became one of the highlights of my mornings. At the steakhouse restaurant, Nikki, the greeter, kindly accommodated us with a reservation when we didn’t realize one was required, ensuring we didn’t miss out on a wonderful meal. And each morning, Kimberly greeted us with a smile while making the most delicious cappuccinos at the lobby Cafe. Every single interaction showed genuine care and hospitality. The staff at Riu Palace Jamaica made us feel truly welcomed and celebrated. We cannot thank them enough and highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to create lasting memories.

Had a Ball! 🌴 Everyone here is so nice, and the place is absolutely beautiful. The food is really good—though honestly, it’s even better on the Montego Bay side. Luckily, if you’re staying at the Palace, you can visit all the sides. The only catch is you can’t eat dinner over there. Overall, I’d still give this resort a 10/10. My only complaints are that the pool closes way too early—it shuts down at 5 PM every day. I think that’s crazy! Especially since the DJ is there until about 4:30, and once he leaves, the vibe just dies. They might as well keep it open until at least 6 or 7. Other than that, everything was really nice, and I’d definitely recommend it. 🌺✨

Our vacation was met with great service everyday. My birthday was celebrated well. The steel band experience was awesome. The hotel entertainment crew were the best. Food was great everyday. There were different foods to choose from each day. A few minor issues: lack of wash rags on most of the days. The waterfall shower head needs replacing.

We Loved the resort! Friendly staff, the resort was clean, food was great. Shout out to the entertainment guys! The only complaints we had was not enough cover for the beds and there was no microwaves. Overall Great Resort and Staff. Honest people too. My husband lost his wallet on the beach and the staff logged it and one of the staff saw my husband looking for it and recognize him and returned it to him. We will back.

If we could put 10 stars for the service we would✨✨✨✨✨✨ Riu Palace Jamaica has become like our home away from home. We were celebrating our birthdays & knew this hotel was our number 1 choice. We had some hiccups at check in (a policy they have that definitely needs to change), but the service we received from the wonderful staff over ride those issues. Nicky who works at the restaurants, Riu needs more staff like her, she makes you feel so welcome & goes above and beyond to ensure her guests are comfortable & happy. Horace was superb too and so many others that makes us feel at home. Audley is so great too for breakfast and lunch. I admire how the staff knows their guests & pays attention. Riu Palace Jamaica have our hearts & will always be our number 1 choice in Jamaica 🇯🇲

My recent stay at Deja Resort in Montego Bay was an absolutely fantastic experience, and I couldn't be more impressed. The excellence of the service, the unique culinary offerings, and the overall peaceful environment made it a truly memorable vacation. The staff at Deja Resort are what truly set this place apart. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with respect and understanding. A great example of this was during our dinner at the Italian section of the restaurant. The waiters were incredibly attentive, always asking if we were finished before taking our dishes. Their respectful and interactive approach made the dining experience feel personal and welcoming. Speaking of the dining, the food was a highlight of the trip. The restaurant offers a creative and delicious blend of Jamaican and Italian cuisine. We were particularly impressed with the tomato sauces—they were light, flavorful, and so well-prepared that they were easy to digest. This unique fusion was a welcome surprise and a testament to the chef's skill. Beyond the food and service, the overall atmosphere was incredibly calm and peaceful. The decor was simple yet expressive, which created a relaxed mood. The lighting was just right, making the space feel both visible and comfortable. It's the kind of environment where you can truly unwind after a long day of exploring. I highly recommend Deja Resort to anyone visiting Montego Bay. It's an excellent choice for a relaxing vacation with top-notch service and unique, delicious food.

My daughter stayed at Deja Resort and went through a very distressing personal situation with her traveling companion. The staff’s compassion and professionalism were incredible. They moved her to a safe room, helped her report the incident, and made sure she was cared for every step of the way. From security to kitchen to maintenance, everyone treated her with kindness and respect. I’m forever grateful for how they protected and supported her during such a difficult time. Prior to the incident, she shared with me how much she loved the resort, the food, and the room.

We had a good time at Deja Resort. The staff is great and friendly. You get a free day pass to the beach across the street, but there you have to pay for chairs, umbrellas, etc. (we did not and we still enjoyed our time at the beach). I liked that it wasn't a big party resort, it was more on the quiet side with some shows here and there and other activities (ex. karaoke). We had no problem booking excursions and shuttles were on time. Would come back!

Thank God for this gated resort. The streets were horrible. I felt like I was getting mugged by every person I walked by. Got in the resort gates and immediately felt secure. There was a man at the gate keeping the people away. Starbucks 20 steps away. Bell hop and servers completely on top of it. Beach access right across the street. Highly recommend this establishment!

Resort hotel
Nestled in an upscale all-inclusive beachfront resort, Zoëtry Montego Bay Jamaica offers a chic and exclusive experience with just 49 suites spread across villa-size buildings. The resort provides a feeling of low-key luxury, featuring a long pier and a slender crescent of sand for various water activities. Guests can enjoy the all-inclusive rate covering a la carte dining, premium drinks, room service, afternoon tea, and even a 20-minute spa treatment.
2nd time visiting Montego Bay this year and my first time staying here. I must say, I'll be back next year for my bday!! The atmosphere was relaxing and laid back. I really didnt get the full experience of the resort but Jason, my butler made up for it. He would check on me daily, updated me on the menu and made sure I had a hot bubble bath every night. Just made me feel very special during my stay.

Let me start by saying that Zoëtry is very quaint. Rooms are beautiful and align with the 5 star rating. This is where it ends. Food is mediocre. Every meal there's items missing on the menu. Same for drinks. Had one spoon to stir my coffee all week. No bath mats, room floor is tile and quite slippery. There was only like 40'of us at the resort. The common theme during any conversation was the lack of food, drinks and service in general. One night management offered us a dinner at another resort . They offered to 16 out of 40 people so the list of complainants was quite extensive. When paying 5 star $ you expect 5 star service and food. It's a shame because it's a beautiful little boutique resort. Imitation crab and Greek salad loading with green olives. Words hardly make my statement and concerns justice. Many couples requested a move to a different resort

Not a whole lot to say. This is a very small "all inclusive" that offers basic amenities and average-to-very-poor service. The beach is very small, and for the four days I was here, I didn't see a single person in the water. The reason? It's in a small cove that is separated from the main ocean beach by a sandbar. The water isn't very clear, and definitely not inviting. So if you are looking for a beach vacation, this isn't it. Food is... Basic... Unpredictable... And very slow to be served. Room Service is terrible, and everyone in our group had the same experience. Order a basic pizza, and 2 hours later nothing. Want a cup of coffee and a pastry? Good luck. In fact, not a single person in our group of 7 ever received a room service order. The front desk just shrugs. One day I returned to my room, bed was made, but no pillow cases or towels. I went to the front desk, explained the situation, and they asked "so what do you want?" I was baffled. Pillow cases and towels? Three hours later someone showed up with wash cloths. The restaurant menu (of which there is really only one restaurant...the other two are just a shack and a lunch station) is very basic and no custom options. Service was very slow, orders were wrong, and servers often very confused. I cannot recommend this property, and am surprised it is under the Hyatt portfolio. As a World of Hyatt Explorist (which was never acknowledged) I received no extra perks or benefits. Late Checkout was denied. The property has potential, but needs ownership and management who actually care, and understand traveler's basic expectations for an all inclusive vacation resort.

Ramona and David were absolutely amazing! They made our stay at Zoëtry feel effortless and extra special. Ramona was calm, thoughtful, and always one step ahead, while David brought great energy and made sure everything ran smoothly. They were both so kind and attentive — we couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you for making our trip unforgettable!

This place is a hidden gem just 10 minutes from Montego Bay airport. The staff, the space, and the food are all top notch. I especially want to celebrate Ricardo. He was attentive and helpful from the moment we stepped foot onto the hotel grounds. If you are his boss and read this, he was awesome and deserves recognition for his hard work to make out vacation flawless. We will be going back.

This is the 3rd Zoetry we have visited and we will NEVER return to this location. Room service takes an average of 2 hours and the order was never correct. We signed up for an ATV & Water excursion. It was a two hour commute to location and another 90 minute wait for activities. It was 96 degrees; no water (items in lockers) with excessive flies from manure. It was so uncomfortable we decided to pass on ATV and get lunch while we waited for our canoe. After looking at the menu and deciding we were told only two things were available:wings and fries. Transportation back wasn’t until 1:30 so we had a long time to wait to return. Very disappointing trip! The work out room has broken equipment with no air. Towels are not replenished or replaced. We got them ourselves. The window in the bathroom is too transparent to leave the light on while showering. The refrigerator keeps items “not warm” certainly not cool. Upon complaining a rep for Zoetry said Jamaica location receives a lot of complaints. Info needed prior to booking! Run for the hills! Don’t come here! Finally, I am allergic and have a fear of cats. They are everywhere and in the dining room it’s unbearable.

This may be for you, I had a very strange experience. Start with why you want to stay, then finish with the "wait what" First its quiet, very peaceful at times, seemed empty, you get a butler which is more a customer service manager, nice but dont expect much. Clean room bath area great water pressure fridge, good AC control. More than half the staff were great. The "meh" side, no elevator, no iron , yes its true, service takes forever, be on vacation, eat late at specific times, no food mart inside or out, Not 1 person went in the beach water, dont blame them. Strange things happened at times, out of no where. Always out of something. Needs upkeep if I showed you the details.

Worst experience from seasoned traveler, and repeat customer. Food was consistently of the poorest quality. Staff's hands were tied with no ownership toward work. This was mimicked by lack of ownership in Management for the experience of their guests. Spoke with manager only to get acknowlegement of the deficiencies and no corrective actions. For example, ordered room service through Manager on duty at 9:30. After waiting in dining area for over an hour to eat from the dinner menu. Room service came at 12:01 am. This resort has is All inclusive with no inclusive amenities. We managed our way thru chairs falling through the outdoor decking only to have management acknowledge the danger after the fact will $0. We suffered through meal after meal of pre-cooked poorly prepared food. While all inclusive cocktails were available it consisted of the lowest caliber of alcoholic beverage at all bars and a pint if rum in the room. Staff was friendly and very kind but clearly untrained. King Ocean view was the only nice thing. Limited dining choices. Pub with games for tourists was unmanned with no air, no bar, and very uninviting. As a repeat visitor I am disappointed in in current ownership. Tons of opportunities dismissed.

We stayed for one week at this hotel.. lovely beautiful private beach . A very big stretch. You must get a ocean view room . Most of the rooms are very few with beach view. Food is fabulous with lots of options and variety at every meal . Very courteous and friendly staff and very helpful as well. There is entertainment a side show and a main show at the theater in their sister hotel which is next door. The gyms is at the sister hotel as well. You also can have dinner at one of their restaurants. Bar had great choices and the Bob Marley and Pina colada are favorites The pool is very big and fabulous They have coffee bar as well if you want very specific coffee made by the barista Out door bar is open once the pool is open and organize games etc We had a great time and would recommend it to anyone

I went for 7 nights the first week of September with my bf this year. The hotel is in central Montego Bay, directly by the beach. The hotel contains everything you need, drinks are great, food is good but you have to expect local food, the views from the room are fantastic and the facilities were always very clean too. This hotel is honestly perfect for the price you’re paying. The only downside is that the service is a bit slow but that is just the local atmosphere. Be patient , don’t be in a rush and you will have the best time. You will get on site plenty of choice to do activities everywhere in Jamaica safely with a driver and guide with a group. You can also get massages on site in a gorgeous cabana by the sea. I highly recommend it.

My stay here at Grand Decameron is A1. It' s like home away from home. It really a great feeling to be here. I met Erin/Zoey who turned out to be my favorite person in the entire result. She is really a sweet soul. I'm absolutely comfortable and happy around her. She has a really nice personallity that makes any guess feel welcomed. Apart from the beauty, the exceptional exceptional service, luxurious amenities and an unforgettable experience at this resort..... I would definitely return because of Erin/Zoey.... Big up Zoey.... I truly appreciate you.

Worried at 1st after reading some reviews, we were originally booked in to Royal Decameron Runaway Bay, but due to contracts with Tui wd we're changed to Decameron Cornwall. Can honestly say, do not take any notice of he negative reviews. We had a fantastic time, rooms always cleaned with daily clean sheets and towels if you wanted. Food was plentiful and very tasty, always a good selection. 2 L Ala Carte Restaurants to choose from, can book each Morning for the same Evening, we want 7 times out of 14 Night stay. Beach and views are a little piece of paradise. All the Staff were lovely and friendly. We are already planning a return visit in 2 year's time 😁

I visited the Decameron last August. While we were not overly impressed with the facilities in the establishment, the entertainment team were absolutely amazing! They were so down to earth and we were extremely looked after. By the end of the stay, it felt like we were leaving our cousins abroad. Zoey was amazing, she has an amazing memory and took the time to remember the names of all 18 people in our party. She is extremely personable and funny and you can’t help but love her!

I'm glad I went and would consider coming back in the future. Pro's The views from the rooms of the gorgeous pool and beach are fantastic! I don't get around well so the size of the resort was great for me. I also requested a room near the elevator which they honored. Always simple to get a chair by the pool or the beach. I appreciated that they had a designated smoking area outside of the lobby. Dale at the lobby bar is a class act. I didn't care to get hammered drunk but I enjoyed speaking with a Montego Bay native who was obviously trained well in beverage service. Most of the servers in the buffet restaurant were quite good. Con's Check-in system is very antiquated. Hard rule not to let anyone in before 3pm so everyone charges the desk at 3pm. Just dole out the rooms as inventory becomes available to avoid miserable crowds in the lobby. Housekeeping, when they did come, often would clean rooms that were still occupied before the ones that had just been vacated. Both of these issues should be addressed. My biggest complaint would be that there's a glaring lack of food and beverage management on hand certain nights. On both Saturday and Sunday night before 8:45pm, the buffet was completely out of any options that included meat. The restaurant was also a mess. This is totally unacceptable! Not claiming to be a 5 Star allows you to not have to serve as high end foods but doesn't allow for you to run out of food and staff not to care about it one bit. Why no blankets on the bed? My room was freezing and it took two days to get it warmed down. I caught a cold after the first day because of it. Please provide more than a sheet. I did my homework so I wasn't disappointed. In fact, I enjoyed mostly. I love meeting people from around the world which was easy and fun in a place that isn't too big. This resort has so much potential to do better and should stop just trying to get by.

Best all inclusive getaway vacation ever! 🌊Turquoise color carrabean ocean, 🏖 clean beach with shade, 🚤kayaking, 🤿 snorkling, paddle board, 🏊‍♂️ pool side snack bar, 💆‍♀️spa, 🎸🎵 entertainment, 🍽 lunch dinner buffet with Jamaican food and al a carte two restaurants (reservation required). Fully Staffed place and all seems very polite. Enjoyed tropical fruits 🍉🥥🍍 and pina colada. We baught coconuts from outside and made a request to a gardner if he could cut it open with his big garden tool. He helped gladly! Highly recommend 😀

I had one of the worst resort experiences of my life here. The customer service was beyond disappointing — especially at the front desk, where the staff were shockingly rude and unhelpful from the moment we arrived. We were told that check-in would be at 3:00 PM, so after a 4-hour drive, we arrived around 2:30. At that point, we were told our rooms weren’t ready and to come back at 3:30. That turned into 4:00… and by 6:00 PM, we still didn’t have our rooms. To make matters worse, we had booked our stay weeks in advance for the other side of the resort, but were told upon arrival that it was fully booked and we’d been moved to the Cornwall side — without prior notice or explanation. When we finally got access to our rooms, they were not properly cleaned or stocked. There were no towels, no washcloths, and not even a bath mat. I called room service, and someone eventually brought a few towels — but when I asked for washcloths, the staff member casually told me, “We don’t provide rags.” When I asked what I was supposed to wash with, she shrugged and said, “I don’t know.” That level of indifference was insulting. We then discovered that our shower had no running water. When we contacted the front desk again, we were met with nothing but attitude and no urgency to resolve the issue. Adding to the frustration, we had specifically requested a ground floor room for my elderly grandmother, who has had multiple surgeries and struggles with stairs. Instead, they placed her on the fourth floor with no explanation or effort to accommodate her needs. And the food? Absolutely terrible — bland, limited, and nowhere near the quality expected from a resort. I was born in Jamaica and visit often. I’ve stayed in many different resorts across the island, and I can honestly say this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Between the rude staff, poor accommodations, and lack of care for guest needs, I will never return

With its prime location near the Montego Bay Marine Park and a sprawling 2,000-foot beach, guests can enjoy snorkeling, parasailing, and other water activities.
We had a family trip to this place. The resort is so huge that we were stunned by its beauty. The services were out of this world. The rooms were beautiful although small but neat and clean. The breakfast lunch and dinner was very good but less of vegetarian option during dinner time. I would recommend this place to stay in Jamaica. The waterpark was very good.

Stayed here for a wedding in April of 2014. We stayed for a week. When we arrived from Canada we were told our ocean view balcony suit wasn’t available and they stuck us in a room overlooking the lobby 🫤 that room was HORRIBLE, seemed like a by the hour type room you’d see on tv 😬 we complained and they were very understanding and ensured we had our room. We were even given spa services which was absolutely wonderful. (Private couples massage on the beach.) We were with a large group and the wedding was there at the resort and we’d also booked a bunch of excursions there also. This kids loved the lazy river and the slides, the staff, food, entertainment and everything was great. I’d heard it had gone downhill and was so sad. Jamaica was hands down my favourite of the 6 islands I’ve been to in the Caribbean. 🇯🇲✌🏽🫶🏽🇨🇦

While the overall ambiance of the place is pleasant, some aspects of the room felt a bit outdated. Nevertheless, the staff was consistently helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We were fortunate to have a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean, providing us with a stunning view every day, even during rainy weather. The stocked fridge, replenished daily, was a thoughtful touch. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, although the jerk chicken lacked the expected level of spiciness—it seemed tailored more towards those with a lower tolerance for spice. However, the other restaurants on the resort served delicious food, and the availability of alcohol was definitely a plus. For relaxation, there's a sizable pool designated for adults, as well as a larger area in the back catering to families with children. The proximity to the beach was a major highlight. Additionally, the resort provided both daytime and nighttime entertainment options. One minor suggestion for improvement would be to consider adding more than two elevators, as guests often experienced extended wait times. Overall, our experience was enjoyable, with the resort offering a mix of amenities suitable for various preferences and ages

I honeymoon here, over 14 years ago, and I had a great time. The staff was very good, kind and friendly. I enjoyed the water slides and the views of the ocean. The beach was clean and very relaxing. I'm hoping that they upgraded the rooms and the decor in them. It's very close to the airport and the Montego Bay town where you can go shopping. I felt safe when my husband and I visited there.

Activity for you and the little ones is good. The spa and the staff there is very professional. However the hotel is not well maintained. The furniture in the rooms need to be updated. The staff over all are not too friendly (not everyone). They do not greet you as you walk by and please do not asks some of them a question.... its like your disturbing them. I have not has clean towels for 3 days. They are always out of something when it come to the food bar. No cups, no ice, no chicken.... It has the potential to be great with just a little paint and cleaning. Huge property but I will not be back.

I read SO many reviews before staying on the cove side during Christmas holiday. They are so true. The property and view are nice. The rooms are in desparate need of updating. Rust and chipped tile are abundant. Bathroom towels are sadly hard to come by. Only ten percent of the staff are kind and hospitable. The other 90 percent treat you like you are a bother. My children loved it here. Our Ocean view room was right in front of the water slides. The noise was actually not bad. Hospitality training and room updates could make this place great. Suggestion: Only come here if you have kids.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESORT!!!! This is not the same Sunscape it was 10 years ago when I stayed here. It has since changed owners and they are not keeping this resort up. The staff was friendly but the resort is nasty. I was told they will be closing down in a few months which is a good thing. The food was not good, the rooms were very dirty. There was blood on the sheets in our room which leads me to believe they have bed bugs. There was mold in the rooms which we spotted on the lamps shades, there was mold on tiles in the bathroom, and mildew smell in the rooms. Some of the pools were closed and they always ran out of towels. The bathroom showers were clogged and not draining, our toilet was constantly running. Maintenance never came to fix plumbing issues. Needless to say we checked out immediately and went to a better resort to enjoy our vacation. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

First time in Jamaica and first time at an all inclusive. I enjoyed my time here. I was more interested in getting off resort and seeing the country so I wasn't too put out by a lack of actual beach or all the amenities more expensive resorts might provide. The room I had definitely felt and looked its age, as do the hallways, elevator and stairwells in the tower where I stayed. The place needs a good upgrade in lots of ways but the staff was very friendly, very helpful and I felt very welcomed. The food was good and I enjoyed the smaller portions at the restaurants. The excursion desks were really helpful. A very family oriented location but lots of couples or friends vacationing together as well. It was quiet after about 11 pm. You get what you pay, true and I was happy with what I got for my money.

SeaGarden Beach Resort is an upscale beachfront retreat in Montego Bay, offering private beach access and a range of amenities. The resort features 5 dining options, including a piano lounge and wine bar. Guests can enjoy recreational activities such as snorkeling in the sheltered aquamarine bay, or take advantage of the outdoor tennis courts and nightclub. The well-established hotel exudes an old-fashioned charm with its tropical gardens, checkerboard floors, and brightly lit rooms reflecting Jamaica's flag colors.
We went here for both our My wife's and I 1st year and 2nd Year Anniversary, and I can confirm the staff was nothing but hospitable, kind, friendly, accommodating, giving us our old room from our first visit. We were remembered fondly, and given an experience we both hold dear to our hearts. The room itself was cozy, and felt very homely, & very safe & comforting. The cuisine was to die for and the kitchen staff deserve nothing but big ups and props to their trades, always on time, full of flavor with extreme variety. The location is very convenient & close to the airport, which my wife enjoys because she loves to watch the planes, though close to the airport we hardly noticed noise of the planes taking off or coming in from our room. And the beach itself was tremendous, white sands, amazing waters and views with plenty to do in the ocean We cannot recommend this place enough. Shout out to Vanessa, Michael, Nigel, Michaela, Clayton, Bradford? (sorry), dining room manager MR D, the front desk staff, the kitchen crew who gave us the best anniversary dinner, & the cleaning ladies (aunties) who constantly teased us and made us feel incredibly welcome.

I stayed there with my 2 kids. They said my room was an upgrade from what we reserved, and it felt very much like a downgrade. Beds were small, room was dirty with a view of construction work, and smelled like dirty mop water. Shower head full of gunk. Took 3 days of constantly asking for towels to get enough for me and my 2 kids. It was 3 of us staying there. The lady at the deli was very rude to us and rolled her eyes and sucked her teeth anytime me or my sons asked for anything at the deli. But she seemed nice to other people. The private beach was very nice, good bartenders and the lady cooking on the beach grill was good too. The servers at the buffet restaurant were so lovely. They had a Jamaica night while we were there and that was very nice also. Lifeguards were fantastic. This would have been a much better experience with better accommodations. I would book again if I went back, but would bring my own towels, cleaning supplies, and maybe book a family room.

had an amazing stay at Seagarden Resort! From the moment I stepped through the door, the staff treated me like a queen. My room (1414) was clean, tidy, and the cleaning lady was very nice, making sure everything was perfect during my stay. The driver they assigned me, Devin, was absolutely wonderful he was kind, professional, and made sure I felt safe at all times. Everywhere around the resort was clean and well-kept, which really made the experience relaxing. The food was decent, but the drinks were absolutely amazing! Don’t believe the bad comments I truly enjoyed my time here and will definitely make this my go-to resort.

The grounds on the property is beautiful. The service is awful. The rooms and most of the building structures are old looking and could use paint and some fixtures. The food is okay, breakfast is usually good. The beach is beautiful😍The swimming area is very shallow and calm. The best thing about staying here was the beach and the only place I would go if I go back here. I don't recommend this resort.

I enjoyed my stay. Complimentary restaurant buffet, drinks bar, snack bar (beef patties, icecream etc), grill, and karaoke. My kids and I shared a luxury oceanfront suite. The experience felt royal like an immaculate gift. We woke up daily to the tranquil sound of the ocean, and the smell of fresh sea breeze from the balcony. The staff was utterly amazing! At the restaurant, they made my daughter's birthday so special. Six of them sang to her and presented her with a mini cake. She was really surprised but extremely happy to be celebrated.

It was my first time at this resort and i had a great time. Giovanni checked me in and his service was top notch. I spent 2 nights at the resort, the food was good as well. The only downside was that I had another reservation that I cancelled but could get a refund for , I was a bit disappointed upon arrival but Antoinette from reservations and Giovanni at the front desk made me decide to stay , I loved their approach to service and I can personally say that they are an asset to the company, especially Giovanni who went above and beyond. I really hope that that the issue with my refund for the cancelled reservation will be dealt with abruptly. Regards Jean James

The staff are lovely and helpful. Thank you RITCHIE , GIOVANNI and VENISE for being helpful and kind to me as a loan traveler. For the price the food is really good, good quality traditional Jamaican food. The comment below regarding the beach bar food only opening to 5:30pm is a little unfair as there are 4 other locations to get food from on the resort until late at night. This place makes sense if you’re on a budget although still want standards.

This is my first experience and I am not satisfied. The check in and check out processes were a disaster as communication is definitely not a strong point for this hotel. The bathroom was not acceptable. It had clear mold on the grout on the bath tub. The only plus was the restaurant . The staff was courteous there and the food is decent

Beautiful tranquil area! Extremely clean area and beach, but to access this beach and area a small fee needed. Don't worry it's very low and very worth it. Great to chill out, relax, have a walk. And a light bit of snorkeling. Lots to see and nice food around. We spent the day and it was a good day out overall

Such a nicely maintained beach, you pay a fee to enter and can rent umbrellas and chairs. Food was good and reasonable, drinks were pretty good. Beautiful water also just relaxing watching planes landing every now and then.

This is a great beach… very beautiful. They have a lifeguard on the beach and security. They also have a great bar that is nearby with great drinks. The bar is able to accept American and Jamaican dollars very good vibes. The people were very friendly. I even got a celebratory birthday drink from a local. I’m here to tell the story lol. The people are extremely beautiful and you don’t have a lot of people heckling you. You do have to pay for chairs. I think we paid seven bucks. The beat is full of tourists and local so it’s a good mix and you’re likely to feel very comfortable there. Get there early if you want to avoid having to get an umbrella and use a tree for the ultimate shade they also serve food. We had beef and chicken patties. They were steaming hot and delicious. The bathrooms were clean. all in all very good beach.

Nice beach. Great view. Got shaded places under tree if you are worried to get burnt, plus the rental umbrella, you should be fine. Got all facilities you need and are pretty clean. It would be 5 stars if the stuffs can be nicer. We asked a lady who works there for helping us take a photo for all, however, she just turned around and ignored.

Doctors Cave Beach is located off the famous Hip Strip of Montego Bay. Access is via the Hip Strip, it’s a fee paying beach, the beach is impeccably clean with clear waters so you can see the sea life, if you venture out a little you can snorkel and see amazing sea life. There is bar serving drinks , cocktails and bar snacks , there is a Starbucks overlooking the beach so coffee and everything Starbucks is available. There is a bouncy thing you swim up to and bounce on or just chill and lie on, the beach can get busy from time to time, but that’s because it’s the place to hang out. The white sand, the clear sea, the warm sea and the impressive sealife makes this beach popular with tourists and locals alike

Catalonia Montego Bay is a relaxed beachfront resort in Jamaica, offering a private island and five laid-back eateries. The all-inclusive dining experience provides an array of global cuisine at the 12 restaurants on-site. Guests can also enjoy access to nine incredible dining options at Sandals Royal Caribbean. The resort features a full-service spa, two outdoor swimming pools, and a private beach for ultimate relaxation.
Here is my full opinion: This place has great potential. We had wonderful service, all staff was great, We had dinner at most of the restaurants: Momma Mia 3 times our waiter “Cruise” was great. Beloved food was great however it took them forever to get the food out to you. We loved the location and the little island. The gym was nice and clean. Night time entertainment for someone who doesn’t stay up late, 8pm was a great time for us to enjoy the bands on those nights. This is not a party resort it’s very relaxing. Also security was great. I’m my opinion on improvement. Need to Add more umbrellas around the pool for shade. There is bare minimum at this time. The self serve drink machine only worked for about half the time we was there. There needs to be an area were simple food is served late a night. (Hot dog &chips) this is great for ones who miss dinner from some unknown occasion. Lunch time it’s hot and there is no were to eat that has AC. The adult area with swim up bar was closed for renovation during our stay. I do believe after all renovations this place will be amazing. Also Beware there are ones running around trying to get u to sit with them, and to buy time share.

My experience here was a mix of highs and lows. The property in the outside was very nice My toddler enjoyed the pool and I liked meandering along the beach and relaxing. The entertainment was also pretty good. My room was fair but the bathroom was ancient. I questioned how clean the shower stall was since it seemed to have been in there since the 70s. My family member had a worse room where the ac barely worked and made me feel like I would be poisoned or something from breathing in the air. The food was sub par. For example, the jerk pork tasted as if it was seasoned with the cheapest jerk rub on the planet, most of the juices tasted like expired drink mixes with a strange after taste and ice cream had a weird texture. The vanilla icecream had a brown tinge. That was crazy. I had a burger from the grill and I simply could not detect what I had put on it that tasted like some sort of cleaning agent. The staff were also hit or miss. Some were pleasant, others were not. Its not a bad hotel but an overhaul is absolutely required.

My family of three stayed for 4 nights at the end of June. Based on the negative reviews I saw, I was a little nervous about the state of the resort but was pleasantly surprised. It definitely needs cosmetic updating but it is clear that is being addressed. We hope to return this coming summer to see the progress. The Ocean Front Jr. Suite was smaller than described but the view was amazing. Being that we spent most of the time on the beautiful private island we didn't really care what the room was like as we were rarely there. It was clean and the AC worked - perfect. The beach is amazing, and the staff was friendly enough ... I wasn't given a warm and fuzzy feeling by much of the staff - but they were all very busy all the time. All in all, we were very pleased with the experience especially at a very reasonable price. This was my 14-year-old daughters first trip out of the US, and she was absolutely in love with the resort. I definitely recommend for families looking for paradise while on a budget :)

Tanisha was amazing during the dinner service in the grand Caribbean dining room. She was very attentive and accommodating. Shauna was also amazing. I travelled by myself and she made sure to treat me like everyone else. She made it a great experience and not once did I feel lonely. There is amazing staff. The food wasn’t bad but she made it a good experience

The location is a true beauty! My family and I felt safe, welcomed and treated with an exceptional service. The food varied with flavors, but nothing compared to traditional Jamaican cuisine. Delish! The rooms were clean but the AC faltered at times. Pools and beach were well kept with life guards on deck at all times. Entertainment was okay, but there is something for everyone. It’s under renovation so some activities are down but overall it was a fantastic experience. Great for the family.

I must say that I love Catalonia a little bit more. We visited last weekend and I was impressed to discover that that there's a kids club at the hotel where you can leave your throughout the day while you relax and enjoy your stay. Serena and Elsa were amazing 👏🏾 with the children, including my daughter. They did fun things like face painting, art work etc. My daughter still has her blouse with the beautiful artwork they did. I revisit just for that benefit.

The staffs are amazing. The hotel is basic. The bed was clean and fresh however the curtains were dirty for both the bedroom and bathroom. The shower head need to change and the resources such as tissue are limited. I didn't like the fact that while eating cats just walk in and bear in mind some persons are allergic to animal. The food was ok but the best liquid to have is coffee. The entertainment could have been better but kudos for trying.

The hospitality at this resort was top notch. Anything we needed, any staff member was ready to help. The convenience store actually has things you may need for a very reasonable price, and it’s open late. Same with the gift shop. The food actually exceeded my expectations for resort food. To top it off, my boyfriend and I had an amazing ocean view room and couldn’t get enough of the views. The stunning private beach is right on the resort which is extremely convenient. The cleaning ladies did a fantastic job with cleanliness as well. We will definitely be back !!

Airport
Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica offers a range of amenities including shops, restaurants, a smoking lounge, and free WiFi. The airport has seen an increase in connectivity with several airlines adding routes to Montego Bay. Most visitors to Jamaica arrive at this airport and transportation options such as car rentals, taxis, minibuses, and airport pick-up services are available for getting around the island.
My first time departing from this airport and I’m surprised how much more organized and faster flow it is than in Kingston. It’s definitely setup for touristy type travellers with A LOT of shops and food options. What I cared most about (and wasn’t disappointed in the least) was the efficiency of checking in luggage and getting through security. It was great! The personnel I encountered were friendly and polite with their instructions. As for seating, there’s a lot of room throughout even on seemed like a very busy rush of people.

It was a pretty good experience. Can’t give it a 5-star rating because there are other airports that are definitely better, but I can’t complain about anything from this airport. When we arrived the walk to immigration wasn’t far, the lines were fairly long but moved quickly. The immigration officers were nice and professional. I recommend you take a cab from the taxi booth that clearly shows you the price of any ride. When we were leaving Montego Bay, security was quick, officers are waaay nicer that in the States, and everything went smoothly. It isn’t a state of the art airport but A+ to the designers that did the most with what they had. Very nice!

This airport was really nice as it was my first time visiting Jamaica. We really enjoyed the VIP mobay lounge. The lounge was comfy, had A/C, great drinks, and delicious food. The service was great and we will definitely return.

Very clean and safe airport! Lots of shopping options and eateries! Plenty of time to get in and out for your flights. Very organized. When arriving there are tons of kiosk to get approval with your passport. Do not stand in line. Keep moving til you find an empty one! Sandals had an area to bring your luggage and get refreshments! enjoy the perks of your resort or stay! Very impressive staff! Very professional!

The washrooms here are extremely clean, which is a big plus considering how busy the airport gets. The departure area and process felt much more seamless and fluid compared to arrival. The arrival hall, however, definitely needs improvement—it’s far too cluttered and doesn’t leave the best impression. One thing that really stood out: during security checks, passengers in slippers were required to remove them and walk barefoot. In 2025, most modern airports no longer do this, and it’s neither hygienic nor necessary. If someone is wearing boots or heavy shoes, fine—but slippers should be exempt. Overall, it’s not a terrible experience, but it’s not great either. There are clear areas for improvement that could make this airport much more welcoming and efficient.

Alot of waiting around through customs & immigration could have been a bit smoother and quicker. Once through, finally got our transfer, driver was very polite, helpful and nice but got to the hotel and another driver reversed into his car which delayed us getting into our hotel even though the incident was right outside he had to drop us off at the hotel lobby. All in all, a long day but more than happy to be here and enjoying the sun.
Andrew D — Google review
My experience going through the airport was pleasant. I like the fact that they give you the option to complete customs form online it made for a very seamless experience. Jameeka is still developing country and people need to remember that I’ve been to a lot of developing countries and the sinks to Airportranks pretty well. It’s a standard airport where you don’t wanna be there for too much time because it can get digested.
J M — Google review
The airport was busy, but we got through quite quickly! There are tons of souvenirs to bring back home for the family if you didn't get a chance to shop on your trip. There are also lots of good food accommodations and easy to understand. Make sure to bring a portable fan for the lines, though. It can get a bit hot in there.

Royalton Blue Waters, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort is a luxurious beachfront retreat in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The resort boasts 228 guestrooms with balconies or patios and offers 24-hour room service. Guests can indulge in world-class dining at the eight restaurants and enjoy drinks at the nine bars, including poolside cocktail service. The resort promotes relaxation and wellness with spa treatments and fitness activities like kickboxing, tennis, and Zumba.
We spent 10 glorious days at the Royalton Blue Waters this summer. The hotel is modern, beautifully maintained, and filled with great amenities — from the gym my husband enjoyed daily to the lazy river and water park our kids couldn’t get enough of. There was truly something for everyone in our family of six to enjoy. The **staff was outstanding**! From **Bianca** at the main lobby bar, who knew us by name from day one, to **Brandon** at the waterfront sports bar, who made every drink with care and attention. The friendly servers made each dining experience a pleasure. But the **Vibe Team** truly stole the show! Their performances during Vibe Night and Jamaican Independence Day were absolutely incredible. **Picord** has “cementicated” himself in our hearts forever, and **Britine** had us at hello. ❤️ We loved, loved, *loved* our stay and can’t recommend this hotel enough. Until next time! 🌴

We stayed at Royalton Resort Jamaica for our honeymoon in May 2025. While the property itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, our experience was mixed due to several maintenance and service issues. In our room, the water pressure went in and out on all three shower heads, and the water constantly shifted from hot to cold without properly mixing. The closet was falling apart, with doors off the hinges and shelving coming loose. Our air conditioning also wasn’t working, and when we called for service, the worker who came was very nonchalant and did not resolve the issue. Thankfully, we had a fan and were able to open the balcony doors in the evenings. Despite mentioning multiple times that it was our honeymoon, there was no acknowledgment or special effort from the staff, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the property grounds are stunning, the sand and beach water are amazing, and we enjoyed the water slides, pool, and cabana setups. The large, bright buffet dining area is beautiful, though the food itself was fairly average and servers often forgot basics like tea or coffee at breakfast, which we had to request ourselves. A highlight was the omelette station lady in the mornings, she always served with a genuine smile and positive energy, which stood out in contrast to much of the other staff who seemed overworked and unmotivated. Overall, Royalton offers a gorgeous setting, but the lack of attention to detail in room maintenance and the inconsistent service left us underwhelmed, especially for such a special trip. With more care in these areas, it could truly deliver the luxury experience it aims to promise.

I got married here back in May of 2024 and my beginning experience was a mess. Selucia (part of the bridal planning team at the hotel) was very rude and unprofessional to me the bride. This was supposed to be a happy and stress free day for me. I had to involve management with tears in my eyes and request for her not to have any parts in the planning of my wedding and she still was allowed to. I feel like the most important and special day of my life would never be the same bc of such a mean hearted and unprofessional woman. My ceremony was great bc Ayana coordinated it (another staff member from the wedding planning team) and it was breathtaking I would honestly say the best party of my wedding. However, my reception was in an old, smelly and super large space that wasn’t cut out for my wedding guests as an alternative bc they thought it was going to rain and my original space request appeared to no longer be available. When I walked into the space I cried bc nothing I asked was done for my reception and Selucia was apart of it. Every time my husband and I think back on the amount of money spent for our wedding compared to the experience it was definitely unmatched. I would have never had my wedding here if I knew my experience would have been a nightmare like it was with Selucia. I don’t even have any good pics from my reception unfortunately bc the space my reception was held looked so bad. If I could do it again this is a good vacation spot but not for weddings. After countless calls to management months later we were offered a two day stay to come back and have a better experience.

Im not one who leaves comments. Quite frankly ever. I made an exception for this place. IT STINKS. Not necessarily the smell but everything sucks. I recently went for a wedding last week and it was actually really beautiful. The wedding and the reception both very nice and enjoyed myself. Now that i've gotten the pleasantries out of the way I can tell you my honeast review about this waste of space. 1. It is not technically in Montego Bay its about 40 minutes away from the airport. They brand it as Montego Bay for tourism. When you're there you literally cannot leave because there's nowhere to walk and there arent any taxis. You're stuck for the most part. 2. The service! Check in is hell. They dont have a process for checking people in so its a mess. Expect to be at the desk trying to check in for at minimum 90 minutes to 2 hours. My check in was around 2 hrs maybe a little more. 3. And this should honestly be at the top of the list. THE FOOD IS HORRID! Every buffet is the worst food i have quiet possibly had in my life. The omelette bar is nice, i recommend eating there every morning because everything else is terrible. 4. THEY HAVE BED BUG! Initially, i got bit once and chalked it up to a misquito or two. Then the following day I had bites all over my body! I mean everywhere! Im not taking pictures of my full body but i attached a photo of one arm. Mind you, it is like this all over both arms, my back, stomach and legs. If you take nothing else from this please save your money. Or be adventurous and try it for yourself but you have been warned lol

This has been a nightmare from hell. They advertise on their site that their Junior suites can be 1 King or 2 Queens. No where in the writing did they say your request are not guaranteed. I was forced to sleep in a room with another adult not a partner with 1 bed in the suite. I did not request a1 bed room. The staff were not friendly or eager to resolve the issue instead argued with me for 4 hours to get any type of compensation. And it took from 4pm until 11:30 pm to get rollaway bed. Please confirm with your travel agent and the hotel before you arrive to ensure you’re getting what you paid for. No one in my situation was willing to take accountability. This trip was not worth the money spent. Even the next day I was given the run rounds to fix this issue. Please find a better place to stay. Many of the people in our party had the same issue but did not want to ruin the reason for coming.

This a very nice facility. For the areas we went as we went on a day pass to celebrate my son's birthday. I inadvertently left my license and left the hotel along with the 7 kids we traveled with. When I returned the next day I was told I would have to pay the day pass rate for the paper wristbands that were thrown away and could not be used again. This made me very upset. We met good staffs and sulky ones in our short stay. I would not revisit and they are so close to my home. They made me feel like a theif with the intent to resist the hotel. Just to be clear the security does not left you in if you are not on the log for the day. How could we possibly reenter with old wristbands. Smh

I was here recently 9/14-9/18 for my Birthday and no I would not go back. The room looked like they’ve never updated ever. The curtains were nasty the furniture was too I used their Lysol to spray the bed so I could rest. Entertainment was nonexistent.. Staff dancing to music is not entertainment. They should have a better variety of food at the buffet. I sat by the pool and I with I remembered the waitress name now she was GREAT and constantly checked on us. Here are photos attached. The swim out are was the nicest part of the room. Even our safe stopped working.

Firstly, this place is not in Montego Bay and as such I had to drive an almost additional 2 hours to find the location. I had to use the address for the Hideaway side of the resort as the Google GPS took me to the town of Monetego Bay which is not correct. The tile floors in the room are filthy like they have not been properly cleaned in months..You could see the streak of dirt where they likely dragged the filthy mops on the floor.. The food in the buffet area had quite limited selections.. The food was mediocre in my humble opinion (and I'm Jamaican born) The service is subpar.. I understand people in Jamaica are quite brash and nonchalant at the same time however, when you provide a service especially to foreigners, there has to be a mental shift. It is not acceptable to act as though you are doing us a favour..We work hard, and make decisions to come to the resorts to relax, rejuvenate and have a good time. It is only reasonable that we leave feeling our funds were well spent. The staff, manager included needs customer service training. There are tons of places including other countries that we can go to, so coming to the resort we do not expect to be treated with scant regard. For the Royalton Brand, this is unacceptable! It is not five star and as I read the reviews I agree with those folks..I am utterly disappointed and will never return and anyone who asks, I will tell them a resounding no to coming to this place..there are better places in Jamaica with respectable service. This was my second visit to this resort and I do not believe there will be a third. I work for a large corporation and interact with more than 200 folks in my department, as Jamaican born, most including managers look to me for guidance on coming to the island and where to stay and I will NOT recommend this place! As a Marriott Ambassador Elite member who spends more than 100 nights in different hotels yearly..This place is lacking! The grounds are beautiful but that's about it

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall is an upscale, adults-only, all-inclusive resort located just 12 minutes from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. The resort boasts modern styling and meticulous attention to detail, offering 234 private rooms with fully furnished terraces. With 9 restaurants, 3 outdoor pools, a spa, and 6 bars on the property, guests can indulge in limitless food and activities.
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall in Montego Bay, and it was a fantastic experience! The resort is very clean and well-kept, with immaculate rooms. The overall beauty of the resort is truly impressive. The entertainment was okay, nothing extraordinary but still enjoyable. The coffee shops were a highlight with great coffee options available. One thing to note is that the adult area isn't separated from the family area, but children are not allowed in the adult side, which maintains a good balance. The beach has plenty of loungers, though not all of them have shade. However, the cabanas are absolutely worth it! Though a bit pricey, we found a better deal than initially listed. They offer full service, including bottles of Prosecco, a cooler with fresh ice, water, soft drinks, and plastic champagne glasses. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring we always had enough drinks and ice. The food at the resort was fantastic, especially the French restaurant, which I highly recommend. Although there was only one restaurant on the adult side, the rest on the family side were still good options. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation, and I truly recommend this resort!

The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very friendly. I felt safe and the grounds were kept very clean. However, the lighting in the room needs improvement, so getting ready was a bit annoying and the rooms could do with some updates. The food was good though I only ate Jamaican food so not sure how the “international” food tastes. I will say that they could add an additional buffet and late night/ 24/7 food option as late night food was pretty limited. Additionally, there was a lot premium options to pay for which was weird since it’s an “all-inclusive resort.” Overall my friends and I had a good time.
Kristen M — Google review
This all-inclusive resort is overall good, though I expected it to be exceptional. If you’re looking for an international-style resort in Jamaica, this is the place. But if you’re hoping for a truly authentic Jamaican experience, it may fall short. We originally booked for the Jamaican feel, but were a bit disappointed—especially with the food. I’m not saying the food was bad, but it lacked authentic Jamaican flavors. Service was also noticeably slow almost all the time, which took away from the experience. The only restaurant I truly enjoyed was the buffet at Choicez—the steak there was to die for. On the other hand, the worst place we visited was the hibachi restaurant. The food wasn’t great, and while we were still eating, the waitress came and took my almost-full drink without saying a word. At that point, we stood up and left—definitely a horrible experience. Our balcony overlooked the family side (Ziva) even though we booked adults-only, which wasn’t ideal. For the price point, the bathroom and toilet also felt fairly average. That being said, several individuals truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and they deserve recognition: • Alicia, Malique, and Mark – always welcoming with a smile • Sheldon at the jerk hut • Elvis on the beach, for outstanding service • Terry-Ann and Tiana at concierge, both incredibly helpful • Jason, chef at Calypso • Anthony, our waiter at Fuzion • Tricia, Kemona, and Prittanya from the Playa Collection team • Jdarling at the cigar shop These individuals made our trip special despite some disappointments. Their service stood out and reminded us what true hospitality feels like.

The stay was overall good. We booked a swim up room and the views were great. We fairly enjoyed our pool daily. My favorite part of the trip was the hookah. Monique the assistant manager at the hookah stand made sure our hookah was full and we enjoyed it every bit. We were very grateful for her service. Also Malcome who works by the pool was also very generous and kind. He ensured our drinks were always full. As a girlie who always stays at the Hyatt this was one of the better resorts but it doesn’t beat the Hyatt Ziva in Cabo. I didn’t like that there were no options to upgrade wristbands for better liquor choices. We had to go off the resort to get a quality tequila the Jose Cuervo was giving us a headache. Still there are some things that can be improved. The room cleanliness can be a little better and the room service was a little slow but overall it was a decent stay. We had dinner at one of the restaurants and I want to highlight the lamb chops and lobster it was amazing. The driver the hotel assigned us to was Delano and he was amazing!! He took us all over Montego bay safely! Overall I would rate it a 8/10 I will be bringing my family back for Christmas.

Great location! The resort is very close to the airport and on a main thorofare. Beautiful facilities. The rooms were large but a little out dated. Most of the staff were friendly and courteous. French restaurant had some personnel issues with those hosting on September 12, 2025. The hostesses had unpleasant dispositions and had rude facial expressions and comments. Extremely different experience with the staff at the buffet. The staff there were incredible. The servers and hostesses were friendly and pleasant. Met the chef who assisted with special meals as a member of our group had numerous allergies. Overall the experience was truly great. Don't miss out on the jerk restaurant and the nightly events!

Cons: I disagree with the 5-star rating. While the rooms are acceptable, they are extremely humid, and there was a strange smell coming from the AC vents. Additionally, the hallway carpets are filthy, showing clear signs that they haven't been replaced in quite some time. The food options were decent, but at every restaurant we visited, they were almost always out of something or missing ingredients. I also noticed that room service trays were left outside doors; for instance, a guest next to me left their tray out at night, and it was still there in the morning. While this may not be a concern for everyone, to me, it's a red flag—potentially indicating a roach problem. Lastly, the hallways leading to the rooms have an odd smell, and the lighting is quite dim. Pros: resort's outdoor areas are beautiful, and I spent most of my time there. I loved the beach, the pool, the swim-up bar, and the entertainment. The staff provided excellent service, showcasing great Jamaican hospitality. The spa is outstanding as well. I had a massage overlooking the beach, and it was amazing. The spa facilities are very clean, and the staff there is incredibly friendly. To sum it up, I would definitely stay here again. Personally, when I'm on vacation, I only use my hotel room for sleeping. However, if you prefer spending more time in your room or plan to stay for an extended period, I would not recommend it. For me, the beauty of the resort's outdoor spaces outweighed any drawbacks I noticed

I just came back last night from a 6-day stay at the Hyatt Zilara for my birthday. This would be my lowest rating, all-inclusive experience I've had. For reference, I've been to six. Rooms: They offered us a room upgrade upon checking in, which we were appreciative of! It was very spacious and overall nicely decorated, but beware of the lighting in some of the rooms, which was very, very dimly lit Food: Not a lot of quality options for pescatarians or vegans. The quality overall of the food was ehhhhh, and beware that this is labeled as an all-inclusive, yes, but there are lots of item options on the food and drink menu, that's an additional charge. eg certain reds, white, beers, shrimp, steak, etc The late-night options, 10 pm and later, had no fish options; room service included, and there is a $10 charge every time you order room service. Service: Some of the waitresses were so rude, especially when we were requesting additional items for our table, ex. ketchup or even another drink, NO ACKNOWLEDGMENT that they heard us, or you can see they are physically annoyed, but the request would eventually be done.....eventually I do want to recognize a few employees who were truly helpful and so friendly! **SAMANTHA**- BY THE POOL OR BEACH- Very nice & warm, always has a smile on her face, the first person that truly gave us good service. **ELVIS***- BY THE POOL OR BEACH MOST DAYS- exceptional service, went above & beyond to make us feel special each day we saw him. ***ANGELITA***- BY THE POOL- So nice and sweet, she made sure that we were always good on our days by the pool. The night of my Birthday, we paid for a decorated"Beach dinner" that ended up being on a Gazebo by the beach, no decor, etc. They were late with the pickup, gave no forewarning or update, and we had to keep requesting the front desk for an update ourselves. Also, at the end of the dinner, it turned out my BF paid for a birthday cake that the waiter forgot to bring out, and when she reminded him, the cake was then brought out, and my name was spelled incorrectly. The next day, my BF went to let them know about all that went wrong, and they did offer us half off on the dinner. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone in my circle.

The rooms were very dated . The first room we were in was musty and several things were broken. They were nice enough to move us to another room but that leaked when it rained, which was every day. The other down side is the persistent asking of what are you doing today which honestly got on our nerves. But other than those things, the pool was gorgeous , loved having access to each hotel, I DREAM about the breakfast porridge , the beach water was amazing minimal seaweed, and the good overall was very good!

Disclaimer: I don’t usually stay at hotels with such low ratings (3.6), but I received a special promo through Wyndham and decided to take advantage of it. Overall, I would generously rate this hotel a 3 out of 5 due to views and food being good! Rooms Our room was very outdated, though it did have beach views. Unfortunately, it was located at the far end of the hotel near the dead-end beach that has swim club come out 5 am daily. Service This was hit or miss. Check-in took almost an hour and a half, even though we were only the third party in line. In the dining room, we often had to ask for basic items like spoons and forks, and many times the dining areas didn’t open on time. On several occasions, we waited up to 10 minutes for service or for someone to staff the food stations (for example, the spaghetti station). Location This is the hotel’s strongest feature and the main reason we chose it. It’s central to everything, just down the street from the airport, and even has a convenient spot on the beach where people can pick you up. The location is truly excellent.

DO NOT STAY HERE. My family and I booked four rooms at Grand Decameron through Virgin Holidays for a reunion, but the hotel refused to release our booking, leaving us stranded on the first night with no help and forced to share two rooms between ten people. The rooms were filthy—cockroach infestations, black mould hidden with paint, damp bedsheets, and a constant foul smell that made some of us develop rashes. Food hygiene was appalling, with flies and wasps covering most buffet items, and several of us got food poisoning that lasted two days. We were only given a third room seven days into the trip, and never got the fourth we paid for. Customer service was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, with the managers literally hiding from us after giving us a faulty room. The advertised photos are completely misleading and not reflective of the actual conditions. We even witnessed animal cruelty, with cat traps set up on the property where you could hear distressed animals crying at night—deeply disturbing and unacceptable. The neglect and mismanagement throughout the stay was shocking, and neither the hotel nor Virgin Holidays took any responsibility despite daily complaints. Dirty dishes were left on tables, and the general hygiene was non-existent. This was honestly a 1-star experience at best, and I am reporting this hotel to the Jamaican Health and Safety Authority. Avoid at all costs—this ruined what was meant to be a peaceful family holiday. PROS: The Bar staff and drinks Location

I recently stayed at Grand Decameron Montego Bay and overall had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm smiles, and the resort had such a laid‑back, friendly vibe that made it easy to unwind. One of the best parts of the stay was the entertainment team — they went above and beyond to make things fun every day. Special shout‑out to Zoe, who I saw perform several times. She was energetic, creative, and really knew how to draw people in. Her dance routines, games by the pool, and stage performances were crowd favorites — she always had a smile and made guests feel included. Even when the weather forced some adjustments, Zoe and the team kept the spirit high, improvising and keeping everyone laughing.

The hotel was quiet and the meal options were good. The other section of the hotel called Cornwall Beach was way better though in terms of food options and the modern lobby and coffee station was a wonderful touch. The checking process was not good. I arrived at 2:30 and finally got my room at 5:00. A whole day wasted for such a short trip of just 2 nights. Another thing was that a particular staff member in the snack area was asking for tips which we found inappropriate since we had just stepped foot on the property. We were also rudely awakened by a cockroach on night 2 of our stay this is quickly dealt with by my partner. The beds in the standard rooms were also very hard. We didnt have proper sleep throughout the stay. The days spent at the beach, seeing the views, eating at the Cornwall section of the property made it worthwhile. They need to update the Montego Beach section and get rid of the lenghthy checking in process. It dampens the whole trip. Also they need some sort of designated games room or something for entertainment.

Toby's Resort is a laid-back hotel centrally located in Montego Bay, offering unassuming rooms, gardens, and 2 saltwater pools. The hotel provides a casual bar and recreational amenities such as a fitness center. Guests can enjoy local and international cuisine at Tobby's Good Eats, which features a bar/lounge with pool views. This family-owned and operated hotel is designed with authentic Jamaican touches and offers world-class hospitality.
My partner and I stayed here for five nights, and we loved it. We didn’t know what to expect with reviews online, but none of them were true to our experience at Tobys. The hip strip and Doctors Cave were so easily accessible from this location, our excursions even picked us up right from the lobby. We walked everywhere from here due to the amazing location. At the end of a long day, we always looked forward to going back to Tobys, getting a drink/food at the poolside bar, and going for a swim in the pool. That was our routine for 5 nights!! Although it is close to the hip strip and airport, it wasn’t super loud. The poolside music stopped by 9/10pm every night (sometimes earlier). We sleep with white noise baseline, so with our white noise playing from my phone we couldn’t hear any traffic noise, without it i believe we would be fine as well. As far as our room goes, it was poolside and perfect. As young travelers we are not too picky as long as we have a comfortable bed (very comfortable), AC (very proficient), and a bathroom/shower (great!). The Tv was an added bonus, although the wifi waxed and waned sometime, we were able to watch a movie every night by logging into our streaming services on the firestick. Special side note to the house keepers who cleaned our sandy floors every day and made our bed super nicely every day. They always greeted us in the morning with a big smile asking what they can do for us, it was very nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tobys. The staff were helpful, the rooms clean. Two pools to choose from and the restaurant has great breakfast. It is a close walk to the beach and shops in town. Not a high end resort but a nice place to stay.

My wife and I recently stayed four nights here and enjoyed our stay very much. I gave five stars across the board because for the price point, it is all-around excellent. A nice clean room with good service and attentive staff, plus very well maintained grounds. A nice pool with a nice little bar. Good location in walking distance to plenty of shops, restaurants and beaches. We especially enjoyed the restaurant, which was excellent. Nothing too fancy, but made fresh, with care and affordable. Only negative is that the gym could be fixed up a little better and needs some equipment upgrades.
David G — Google review
Disappointed with My Stay I stayed here for one night and was very disappointed. The room had a serious ant problem and was extremely hot upon arrival. The curtains above the patio door were moldy and quite disgusting, and the towels provided were dirty. While the location is great and close to everything, the condition of the room did not match the price being charged. It definitely needs an upgrade and a thorough cleaning. Overall, I would not return.
Lakisha — Google review
Clean, comfortable, safe environment and perfect location - walking distance to Doctor’s cave beach and a number of other bars and restaurants. Food at the restaurant was excellent and prices were reasonable. Would stay here again.

Great location. Not on the beach so it gets you outside the resort into the local area.. Located right off hip strip where there are beaches, shops and restaurants. Clean room, the property is nice and clean. Pool area nice that had a DJ and bar. I will be returning and recommend

In the past, I loved this property because it had a party vibe around the pool and great food especially the fried chicken. PROS Close to airport. Nice food options- curry chicken or goat...Breakfast Tropical French Toast (chef kiss 💋) Food prices reasonable Wash Clothes provided Refrigerator in my room CONS Fried Chicken 🍗 wasn't spectacular The Front Desk Staff Dry-Cold Additional card fees for using credit card Everything seems to get silent at 7pm on some days Pillows are super thin
Aliasha C — Google review
The resort is located just a mile and a half away from the international airport and is walking distance from the Doctor's Cave Beach. They have three pools, a restaurant and chill music played near the pool with drinks most of the day. Staff are friendly. Rooms were clean. You get what you pay for. Parking is quite challenging, so be mindful of that.

This place was Amazing! My husband and I were about to enjoy our time away from our hectic every days lives. It felt like home away from home. They truly so care and want you to enjoy your time there. You can swim or go snorkeling. There is plenty to see and do while you are there. The food was amazing! Plenty or choices and unlimited drinks. Hands down you will have an amazing time while you are there.

I wish that I could rate the Sandal's Inn 5 star, but if I am being honest- I cannot. The Good: 1. The price- you get what you pay for, which is why I am still giving a 4 star rating. I would def go back. 2. The People- the workers are amazing. 3. The bartenders- Christopher and Lamar were amazing. 4. Ability to visit the other resorts. The Bad? 1. The rooms- they are not 5 star quality- carpet was dirty and dated. 2. Bathroom's are dated. 3. My safe broke 3 separate times. If some money was spent on the actual rooms, it would go along way. The hotel is 3 star and the people are 5 star!

My go to place for vacation. The staff go above and beyond to help. They are all so friendly. The food is amazing. The property is well kept thanks to the landscape crew, cleaning crew, and the housekeeping staff. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a small homey feeling resort.
Kim M — Google review
I didn't stay the night so I didn't think it was fair to give five full stars. The hotel was very clean, staff were extremely nice and were very attentive. The bar staff were very friendly and would make nice cocktails of your choice. The bar food was pretty average and the breakfast and lunch was good. The day pass allowed you to use all the facilities of the hotel apart from the rooms so if you wanted to get changed to use the swimming pool or go to the beach. The only downside was that they didn't have a private beach and that you needed to leave the hotel to access the beach across the road. Other than that I would definitely go there again

I was hesitant about booking here with so many mixed reviews. I can understand the reason for some of the mix. First the service is very friendly and everyone is quick to say hello and introduce themselves. Yes it’s small and not much to do but the quietness we actually enjoyed. The rooms are definitely hit and mix and if you are in the old unrenovated rooms I can see people complain, they need to upgrade this resort! The older rooms are simply not acceptable for sandals. The renovated rooms are fine, and I think it’s a good compromise for the savings although I think it can improve it’s not horrible as some has reviewed if you get the renovated rooms. Our first rooms was full of bugs but they were quick to accommodate us to change rooms right away and manager even came to apologize next day which I thought was nice. The drinks are fabulous and love the espresso machine. I think with a little renovation they can make this place amazing as it’s service. The food is rather disappointing but you can just hop over to other resorts for the restaurants. Value 3/5 Atmosphere 3/5 Service 5/5 Quality 3/5 14/20

This resort is very quaint and right in the heart of the city. It's within walking distance of some local shops and is right across the street from a small public beach. While this inn lacks in additional amenities, it more than makes up for it with its small time, homely feel. The staff gets to know you better because of the intimate settings here. There is never a wait to eat or wait at the bar. You get access to the other 2 sandals properties in montego bay, but for a much less price. It's definitely worth the stay. Sadly, I hear this location may be closing at the end of next month. If you find this review helpful, please press like below.

Property is small and convenient to airport. Rooms and furnishings are dated. However what makes up for all this is the Staff. Jason was very helpful and transferring to the other Sandal resorts was very easy. I will say that it's hard to sleep at night from all the noise on the hip strip.

Love the property. Very convenient to travel to Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal to visit. They offer a complimentary shuttle. I proposed to my now fiance a couple weeks ago at the Montego Bay property and the staff helped made it a proposal of a lifetime. Best trip ever!

Guests can enjoy open-air dining at various restaurants that serve an array of international cuisines, ensuring there's something for everyone. The outdoor pool invites you to unwind while surrounded by lush gardens.
I cannot begin to describe how hospitable the staff is there!!!! From the moment I made my reservation, Stacy was prompt and made me feel like I was at home. I booked my room upon landing at MBJ, and she immediately had Mr. Brooks there to bring me to the hotel. I felt like I was a local. They made me feel so comfortable and RELAXED. The pool is warm and it overlooks a clear capture of the water and the view of the airport. It's so close to the airport, which is a real convenience. Ms. Stacy accommodated my requests to get me the best first time experience in Jamaica. I cannot wait to go back!

It's a decent place, but I was expecting more to be honest. Problems: Poor WiFi connection, the TV wasn't working properly, Inside the fridge was rusty a little bit, and the bathroom had a spot on the wall that wasn't painted properly. Exterior and Interior needs more touching up and cleaning, and the railings were kind of rusty a little bit. Additionally, It would be better if the back road parking was gated and fenced, and the bushes were cut down or trimmed. But apart from these issues, the customer service was good.
Garique S — Google review
Nice quaint little place nestled in the hills practically across from the airport, which was just what I needed for one night until I headed to my next destination. I picked this hotel specifically because it advertised that it had a free airport shuttle, which turned out to be untrue. Ended up having to catch a cab, which costs $15 US no matter what, just to go 5 minutes. But got transportation straightened out for the return to the airport the next day, so that made it better. My room was super clean, but outdated. TV didn't work, but I managed. Resort seemed almost vacant, breakfast was almost non existent (I imagine COVID had a lot to do with that). I WILL say that everyone that I encountered was super friendly, so that also made it a bit better, and also the view from my room was spectacular.
Ember B — Google review
Tropical charm up on the hillside overlooking the airport. Room was comfortable but not luxury. No shampoo in the bathroom or front desk. Restaurant was tasty, but out of half the items on the menu. We stayed here for an airport layover because they offered a shuttle, but it only runs at limited times. Check with the front desk. Not a good spot for a beach vacation, but we were happy with a 1-night layover.

I went there in May 14, 201 and spend the night. Place looks nice. Lovely view. If they hire new staff I would recommend it to anyone. This one lady was very bitter and she was cussing and all the guests heard her. Rolling eyes with angry face. She wasn't even in uniform. It took me almost 2 hours to get something to eat morning. Everybody got their food and left me and two other persons asroumd the table for more than hour before being served. They totally didn't prepare for the guests.
Shashoy C — Google review
Staff very friendly but location is a bit out of the way and a taxi to the Hip Strip will set you back $20 each way for a five minute journey. Hotel does offer a free shuttle but it only runs three times a day. Breakfast was fantastic but the restaurant didn't have many dinner options and none of those available were vegetarian friendly.
Carina R — Google review
It is very cost efficient, and the location is ideal for a short or long stay in Montego Bay. Rooms were clean, and the staff polite and understanding. Temperature of the pool is just right for a typical hot day in St. James. Security is always where your vehicle is parked, and the bar always stacked. For locals, we'll notice that the drinks cost TWICE what we're use to. Jamaican-style breakfast included and it is tasty; served by 7:30 a.m. You can see the planes fly-over, but you're not that close to the airport for it to disturb sleep. Glad I discovered Relax Resort.
Britinay S — Google review
For me the experience started long before I actually arrived by way of the patient and understanding customer service given by the helpful Receptionists Jody, Stacia and Alay and Mrs Brooks. Relax Resort lives up to its name. My wife and I were able to have a very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing stay, enjoying both the garden (especially the colourful birds) and the view overlooking the airport and ocean. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen facilities were adequate and I was able to cook up one of my favourite meals which added so much to my comfort and satisfaction. We were able to access the WIFI from our room, thanks to Alay for helping. We really had nothing to complain about and my wife, who is my 'barometer' when things not too right, was happy with the accommodation and the cleanliness of the property which speaks volumes to the effort the operators put into making our stay a very relaxing and memorable one. The Jamaican breakfast was good both mornings and the staff generally was pleasant. Would I return? Most definitely! Can't speak so quickly for other places I have stayed which promised even greater things but never delivered. To the owners, keep up the good work...you must be doing something right.

The Airport Beach Hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica is a convenient choice for travelers due to its proximity to the airport and availability of taxi services. While the rooms may be slightly outdated, they are clean and equipped with amenities such as air conditioning and hot water. The hotel is located just across the street from the beach, making it an ideal spot for beach lovers.
We stay here every time before we head to Negril. It is right on the airport landing strip. If you like planes, you can watch them land from your deck. Affordable, close to the hip strip. It has a great restaurant next door. Bring ear plugs for the planes that fly in early in the morning, and the parties on the hip strip at night can go to the wee hours in the morning. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, great for an inexpensive stop over before heading to your destination the next day. We are an easygoing couple. If you are uptight and need marble floors and brass railings, this is not the place for you. We love it here. The owners are absolutely amazing! See you in April 2025 Big up yahself! Our stay at airport beach hotel was a great experience. Andy was there when we arrived, I got the keys in a few mins and we are in room in no time. Rooms were cozy and can't complain anything about it for the budget friendly hotel. Someone was always available for any help, so really good service. Beach is just few steps away. Just one thing that I didn't like, at night, out side of the hotel the whole street got converted to party hall, every one pull up their car at beach, and you get all bad kind of people, like drunk, smokers and the whole area got lil unfriendly for family. It's not a fault of Hotel though, but the area was lil unfriendly at night, so it'll help families to choose the hotel. If you are okay to not going out at night time, this Hotel is the best, everyone at hotel was so polite and ready to help.

This is a budget place. It was clean had a smoking area and lots of cats.No one bothered you on the grounds. It's small. My only problem was that I paid for 2 people with queen beds for 4 days . They made me pay for additional person for 4 days .( they didn't sleep there) They were coming in and out with us and using the water as they said. The hotel is across from the beach. On the other hand the housekeeper was very friendly . Security was there twenty four hours. So no, they watch everything and everyone. The head count counts there

The room was very clean great location the only issue I had was the AC not well functioning and there was no 24 hour reception I couldn’t even ask anyone to assist with the AC issue… it was really hot in the room all night barely slept. It would be nice if they had a 24 hour receptionist like most hotels

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is nice, clean, safe, centrally located and budget friendly. The workers are very helpful, friendly and courteous. 24 hours security and 5 minutes drive to the airport. I would definitely recommend it and I am looking forward to staying at this hotel again the next time I go to Montego Bay. Sher New Orleans, Louisiana

My experience was extremely disappointing. I had reserved an ocean view room, but upon arrival, the hotel refused to provide me with the room I had booked unless I paid extra money. This kind of practice is unacceptable and feels like a scam. I should have received the room I reserved without any additional charges. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and choose a more reputable place to stay.

Good: Great customer service. Because we landed early in the morning, we arrived at the hotel many hours before the check-in time, and the owner/manager (unprompted) decided to upgrade us to a better room that was already cleaned so that we didn't have to wait for our room to be made ready. The bed is very large and good quality. The room is not cramped at all. Very spacious. The room has a desk and a couch. The bathroom was clean. Convenient location. Nextdoor restaurant has good food. Outdoor lounge area for those who like that. Bad: The airport is obviously loud. The nextdoor restaurant has extremely loud music, even at night. The neighbors seem to quite enjoy revving their engines throughout the night. The room had some roach-like bugs on the walls and ceiling. The door had some damage and didn't create a seal. The gap allowed bugs and sound into the room. Very small toilet. Not very suitable for 6 ft or taller people. Low water pressure, especially when other guests are using any water. The sink looked like it could fall off the wall if I leaned on it too hard.

I would not stay here again. As soon as I arrived I wanted to leave. I waited around for someone to come to the office room. When someone showed up, her first few words were, You’re early.” Mind you, it was 2:48 pm and check in was at 3 pm and I had messaged saying I was going to arrive early and inquiring about the possibility of checking in even earlier and was told no problem if the room is ready. Then this lady said, “I accept tips.” —-For taking my payment and handing me my key to the room I paid for? 🤔. I quickly realized this was going to be a place where it was all about seeing how much money they could get from you. I thought being close to the airport was a perk for an early flight, but it actually led to even more stress trying to find a ride to the airport, despite being told this would be arranged for me. Before arriving I had sent messages to the hotel, asking if it was possible to get a taxi to bring me to the airport (3 minutes away) for my early flight and wanted to confirm the price. I was told it wouldn’t be a problem and to remind them to set it up for me when I got there and it would be between $15-$20, yet when I got to the hotel, the guy the woman recommended to bring me to the airport wanted to charge me $35 so I said no. Later, this same lady said she arranged for someone else to come pick me up at 5 am and I thanked her and said how much is it? She said $30 and I repeated what I was told AGAIN to her by whoever messaged me in advanced and she said well what about $25 and I said $20 was all the cash I had. She said, “Okay, don’t worry.” Yet when 5 am came, no one was around. The taxi driver they booked didn’t show up so I woke up a guy that another guest said was the guard and asked him if he could help me find a taxi to the airport. He called a friend and thankfully that person quickly showed up and brought me to the airport. I truly didn’t mind the noise of the planes taking off, I expected that, but the party music blasting all night was awful!!! Ear plugs didn’t help either so I got very little sleep. The room was clean and did have A/C, but just a scratchy sheet, no actual blanket and the internet came on and off throughout the evening. When I went to walk over to the restaurant next door for dinner, I had guys shouting at me to come close to them to sell me something. They became upset I didn’t want to talk and wasn’t coming to them. Mind you, I’m very obviously pregnant and was NOT interested in marijuana or drinks. While waiting at the bar to get my food to go, a guy next to me was smoking marijuana and blowing it in my face until the waitress finally said you can’t smoke at the bar. People around the hotel seemed to have zero concern for others and the information the staff gave seemed to change a lot. Therefore if you highly value respect and honesty, I would not stay here.
