Bridge
The Atal Bridge in Ahmedabad is a remarkable and iconic structure, being the first of its kind in India. This glass pedestrian bridge spans the Sabarmati Riverfront, connecting the eastern and western parts of the river. Inspired by the vibrant Kite Festival, it offers seating for visitors to enjoy the beauty of the river. The design draws inspiration from kites and reflects the colors of Uttrayan celebration.
The architecture and design of the bridge are striking - it's a beautiful blend of modern aesthetics with cultural elements that really make it stand out. Whether you're walking across during the day or taking in the night-time lighting, it's definitely a spot that adds charm to the city's skyline. The view from the bridge is lovely, especially around sunset. It offers a peaceful escape in the middle of the city, and it's great for photography, a casual walk, or just soaking in the surroundings. The place is well-maintained and clean, with good security presence, and it feels safe even during late evening hours. There were a decent number of visitors, but it didn't feel overly crowded. If I had to point out one thing - it would be nice to have a few more shaded areas or seating spots along the bridge, especially during hotter parts of the day. Overall, a great addition to the city and definitely worth a visit whether you're local or just exploring Ahmedabad!
Gayathri S — Google review
I recently visited Atal Bridge and it was a wonderful experience. The design is very unique and colourful, inspired by the kite festival of Ahmedabad, and it looks even more beautiful in the evening when the lights are on. The place feels peaceful because it is only for pedestrians and cyclists, so you can walk comfortably without traffic noise. The view of the Sabarmati River from the bridge is very refreshing and perfect for photos. It is also clean, well maintained, and safe for families. If you are in Ahmedabad, this is definitely a place worth visiting.
Harish N — Google review
Atal Bridge is a great place to relax after a long day. It’s beautifully designed, and the cool breeze combined with colorful lights really lifts your mood. It feels like the place lights up your mind and soul! The view of the Sabarmati River from the bridge is stunning, especially in the evening. There are small kiosks where you can grab a sandwich or an ice cream, which adds to the charm. Parking is easy, and there are plenty of good eateries right outside, making it a perfect hangout spot for both locals and tourists. Highly recommended for a peaceful evening walk or just to enjoy the vibe of Ahmedabad!
ASWATHIII R — Google review
Bridge is looking very beautiful in night time. Too many people are visiting there in weekdays. One beautiful park is there beside this. We have to purchase tickets for both park and Atal bridge. We haven't purchased that. In park toilets are available for both Gents and ladies. One multistoried car parking is there in front of that park. Multiple food shops are available there and price of all items are very costly. We enquired cold cofy( it's cost was 150/- small, 250/- medium) which we felt very costly. Overall ambiance of the place is very good.

Kankaria Lake . Located in Maninagar area of Ahmedabad City. Originally built as Hauz e Qutub in 1451. The circular area around the lake is a promenade with various entertainment options. . A lakefront is developed around it, which has many public attractions such as a zoo, toy train, kids city, tethered balloon ride, water rides, water park, food stalls, and entertainment facilities. The Lakefront is revamped during 2007-08. There are a lot of entertainment activities you can enjoy. There are different stories against the naming of the lake, but whatever it is the name Kankaria is related to Hazrat- i- Shah Alam. Kamala Nehru Zoological Garden or Kankaria Zoo is a prominent place of attraction indeed. You can spend a whole day here as there are lot of activities/amusement available. Kankaria Carnival is an annual week-long cultural festival organised in last week of December since 2008. The festival include art, dance and music performances, social awareness programmes, games and activities for children. Entry Rs.10 per head. Closed on Mondays. Open: 4.00 am to 8.00 am for joggers. 9.00 am to 10.00 pm for general public. ****

Absolutely loved it. The lake is very beautiful and amazing. It has few entry points but not all of them have parking option available. There are so many activities to do in the lake. Lots of food options. Lots of amazing activities. The train is very amazing, it gives you a one round about tour of a lake. In addition with that, it has flower garden, fishes to see and joy to experience.

Great place for a fun outing with family or friends! Kankaria Talav has something for everyone — toy train, zoo, kids' play areas, food stalls, and a beautiful lake view. It's clean, well-maintained, and lively in the evenings. Best to visit during sunset for a nice walk around the lake. Good spot for kids and couples too!

Kankariya lake is a beautiful Park for children. Here lots of people come. Lots of swings and sliders for kids. A toy train which is an attraction for visitors. 10 ₹for adults and 5₹ for kids

We must be thankful to Lt. King Ahmedshah for building Kankariya for the people of Ahmedabad. Thanks to Our beloved PM Modi for giving the vision to Government of Gujarat and AMC for developing this as a public spot. One of the best place for family picnic and kids gonna love this too.
Farhan G — Google review
Kankariya Lake is a beautiful spot in Ahmedabad, perfect for family outings. The scenic views, boat rides, and zoo make it a must-visit. However, if you’re seeking peace, avoid festive times like Satam Atham Mela, as it gets crowded with a lively Marwadi crowd. While the energy is fun, it can be overwhelming. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy nature, but timing is key if you prefer tranquility!

I recently visited Adalaj Ni Vav ( Adalaj Stepwell), and it was truly an unforgettable experience! This stepwell is an absolute marvel of architecture, with its intricate carvings, deep history, and serene atmosphere. It’s so much more than just a tourist spot—it’s a beautiful glimpse into Gujarat’s rich heritage. The architecture is mesmerizing, with detailed stonework and patterns that tell stories of ancient craftsmanship. The peaceful ambiance and cool, shaded corridors make it a perfect escape from the heat. The stepwell’s design is not only functional but also stunning, with layers that create an almost surreal vibe. I spent hours exploring and learning about its history - it’s amazing to think about how it was constructed so many centuries ago! Definitely a must-visit if you're in the Gandhinagar area. Whether you're a history buff or just someone who appreciates beautiful architecture, Adalaj Ni Vav is a place you can’t miss. Would love to return again soon!
Amit M — Google review
A stunning slice of history! The architecture is absolutely mesmerising with intricate carvings and a peaceful vibe that transports you back in time. The site is clean and well maintained which makes the experience even more enjoyable. However, be prepared for crowds, especially during weekends or holidays—it’s clearly a popular spot for both tourists and locals. Despite that, it’s totally worth the visit for the beauty and heritage it offers. Tip: Go early in the morning for a quieter experience and better photos!
Saguni G — Google review
Its a beautifully designed, with marvellous architecture in Ahmedabad. It is believed that the then queen committed suicide or maybe died and her spirit haunts this place in the night. The architecture is spectacular. Its a stepwell and there is water as well.

Adalaj Stepwell is a beautiful example of ancient Indian architecture and craftsmanship. The carvings and pillars are stunning, and the place has a calm, heritage feel. It’s a great spot for history lovers and photographers. However, the area around the stepwell could be maintained a little better, and crowd management can improve during peak times. Still, definitely worth a visit for its cultural and architectural value!

Adalajni Vav (Rudabai's Vav): Sculpture, History and a Poignant Love Story Adalajni Vav, also known as Rudabai's Vav, is a magnificent and historic Vav stepwell located near Gandhinagar in Gujarat. It is not just a water storage structure, but a masterpiece of Indian architecture and a living monument to a poignant love story. 📜 Synthesis of History and Architecture 📜 Construction: The construction of this Vav was started by Rani Rudabai in the late 15th century, around 1499. She started its construction in memory of Veer Singh Vaghela. After the death of Rana Veer Singh, Sultan Muhammad Begada of Gujarat completed the construction of the Vav, as Rani Rudabai had set a condition for marrying him. Architectural Style: This Vav presents a unique fusion of Hindu and Islamic architecture. The influence of Islamic style is clearly seen in the carvings of Hindu-Jain sculptures. Structure: The Vav is five stories deep and is called a 'Jaya' type Vav in classical terminology, because it has three main entrances. Its structure underground is so amazing that even on hot days, the temperature inside the Vav remains about 6 degrees Celsius lower than the outside temperature, which is a great testament to this ancient engineering skill. 🎨 Sculptural Intricacy The carvings on the walls and pillars of the Vav are its main feature. These sculptures not only depict the depictions of gods and goddesses, but also scenes of daily life: Women making butter. Women applying makeup. Scenes of dance and music. A small sculpture of the Navagrahas for protection from inauspiciousness. A Kalpa tree carved from a single stone and a jug of nectar from a potter. 🪙 Entry fee is ₹25 for Indian citizens and ₹300 for foreign citizens Commentary: "We as a nation must ensure that every tourist, local or foreign, who visits such ancient sites understands the importance and sanctity of this place. Don't litter anywhere. As conscious citizens, it is our duty to spread awareness and promote the message of 'Clean India, Clean Monument'." The Adalajni Vav is a shining star in the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat and India, which bears witness to the grandeur and engineering prowess of the past.

One of the biggest personal collections of vintage cars, bikes, buggies and utility vehicles, Auto World is a delight for those who love wheels. Amongst the 300 plus menu of mechanical extravaganza, some noted ones stand out; the car that was used in the movie Gandhi and the first May Bach ever made. Visitors can also find rare and wonderful assemblage of vehicles including a Bentley, Lagonda, Rolls Royce, Cadillac, Austin, Jaguar, Mercedes and Auburns. The 1923 Rolls 20 HP with a typical shooting brake-body by Barker is one of the most fascinating cars from the Rolls Royce cache. The museum has also found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for this amazing collection. Brief History: Pranlal Bhogilal started the Auto World Museum in his private estate of 2200 acres, Dastan, in 1927, and earned the Guinness Book of World Record listing in 1987 as the owner of the world's largest private garage. An enthusiast for many years, Bhogilal collected over 204 cars of which 105 are in Ahmedabad. He ensured that all cars were in running condition. Pranlal Bhogilal passed away in 2011 at the age of 73. It is said that in 2006, Ulrich Schmid-Maybach of the illustrious Maybach family flew down to Ahmedabad from Germany to convince Pranlal Bhogilal to sell him a 6-cylinder Maybach that was designed by his grandfather. Bhogilal refused to part with this treasure. Visiting Hours 10am–9pm (Monday closed) Ticket Prices: 11 years & Above: 100/- 4 years to 11 years: 50/- Mobile & Camera: 100/- (No vides only Photos)

An Urban Oasis Also known as Sheth Motilal Hirabhai Park, Law Garden spans around 10.16 acres and boasts well-manicured lawns, shady trees, a small pond, fountains, children’s play zones, and a jogging track stretching nearly 855 m—making it a serene escape amidst the urban buzz . Integrated Shopping & Food Hub Evenings at Law Garden are a sensory delight. The perimeter transforms into a vibrant night market, offering an array of handicrafts, embroidered textiles, jewelry, juttis, and home décor—all with a distinctive Gujarati flair . Foodies, you're in luck: nearby street food stalls pop up selling everything from Gujarati favorites like dhokla, fafda, khandvi to fusion snacks like chaat, dosas, pav bhaji, and kulfi. Shopping Without Breaking the Bank The market is a treasure trove of traditional wear—bandhani sarees, mirror-work cholis, chaniya cholis, patola prints, silver jewelry, and more . Visitors emphasize bargaining—it’s essential, with the possibility to score up to 50–60% off standard quoted prices . Cash is king here—many vendors either don’t accept digital payments or prefer cash-only transactions . 2. A Lively Yet Relaxing Experience Reviewers frequently mention the perfect blend: relaxing ambiance of the park + energetic market and street food vibe . A visitor shared: > “Law garden is the best place for Shopping, Dinner and playing in the garden... Dresses, footwear, dupatta, chaniya choli… Also food zone was good.” Morning or daytime visits offer a calmer setting—ideal for those who prefer a stroll without the crowds . 3. Cultural Richness and Festive Energy The market truly shines around Navratri, drawing huge crowds seeking festive attire, accessories, and the overall celebratory atmosphere . Law Garden is a quintessential Ahmedabad experience: a peaceful urban oasis by day and a cultural spectacle by night. With its traditional crafts, colorful fashion, tasty street food, and festive charm, it's a must-visit for both locals and tourists. ** Tips for the Best Visit**: Go early evening (around 6–8 PM) for a balanced experience. Bring cash, practice your bargaining skills. Stay alert—watch your belongings and stay cautious due to CCTV issues. Avoid peak times if you're uncomfortable with crowds, or embrace the hustle for full-on festivity.

**Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)** **Review:** I recently visited Riverfront Garden in Usmanpura, and it was a delightful experience! The garden offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. The well-maintained green spaces, clean walking paths, and scenic views along the river are perfect for a relaxing stroll or a family outing. The playground area is a nice addition for kids, and the garden is quite spacious, making it easy to find a quiet spot to sit and enjoy nature. However, the parking situation could be improved, and I noticed that some of the benches could use a bit of maintenance. Overall, Riverfront Garden is a charming spot for a serene escape in the city. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to spend some quality time outdoors! --- Feel free to adjust the details based on your personal experience.

The cool breeze, sound of flowing water, and chirping birds make it the perfect spot for a morning walk. Very few people around, so it's quiet and serene—ideal for mindfulness or just enjoying nature. The view of the sunrise over the water adds a magical touch to the morning. Sabarmati Riverfront is a popular destination in Ahmedabad, offering a variety of activities for visitors. On the western side, you can enter from the Sabarmati Riverfront Flower Park, while on the eastern side, there's access to the Sabarmati Riverfront Market. The area features numerous swings, sliders, and seesaws for children aged 1 to 10 years old. The equipment is well-maintained and free to use.
The centrepiece of the Riverfront would have to be its two-level promenade. It provides an uninterrupted walkway for pedestrians that is a whopping 11.4 km long. The lower level of the promenade, which is accessible to the public at present, is close to the water level and is constructed in a way that serves cyclists and pedestrians alike, at the same time providing adequate access to water. It also has a large number of amenities that include but are not limited to elevator access, regular seating arrangements for the public, public washrooms, boating facilities and a total of 31 Ghats constructed at regular intervals to ensure the smooth continuation of all traditional cultural activities involving the Sabarmati. The upper level of the promenade is still under construction, with plans of housing other public features at the city level. The riverfront is just over 10 km long and some of the features it provides include walkways over the river, breath-taking gardens, exciting amusement parks, golf courses and water sports parks. That’s not all; it provides a stunning view of the river, if you choose just to take a walk along the serene river. The promenade is full of health-conscious citizens of Ahmedabad as they finish a quick jog along the river. The fresh air and exercise provides a welcome relief from everyday life that will begin soon after the jog. It’s safe to say that the Sabarmati Riverfront provides one of the most exclusive and satisfying experiences if one chooses to visit Ahmedabad.

Recently I visited here. Here is my review: - Avoid going on weekend. You will face rush. Most of the people prefer evening time. - Mesmerized by watching its design and structure. Applaudable work by Engineers. - Ticket counter is on the right side of bridge. - Entry ticket fare Rs 50/-. - Well maintained and hygienic spot. - Guards only check tickets, so little bit risky place. - Food court is located just in front of bridge offering wide range of cuisines. - Easily accessible through any corner of Ahmedabad via public transport, cabs or own vehicle. Overall, its a nice place to visit if you are coming to Ahmedabad first time.

Excellent place to visit. It was always on my list to visit this place. There is a ticket counter to see the bridge. You can simply take a walk on the bridge and watch the view. Night view is more beautiful. Stunning and unique bridge very well designed and constructed. There is a separate ticket for flower Park. Would love to visit again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Atal Bridge is a sight to behold! The sheer magnitude of it leaves one in awe, and the unique design adds to its appeal. Perched on this mammoth structure, one gets a breathtaking view of the river that is simply beautiful and captivating. The experience, however, was a bit marred by the inefficiency at the ticket counter. The staff could definitely benefit from some speed and efficiency training. Also, the watchmen and security personnel seemed to be a bit high-handed and could do with some lessons in humility and customer interaction. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience was good. An added bonus is the nearby boating club, which offers another fun activity for visitors. All in all, the Atal Bridge is a must-visit for its grandeur and the gorgeous river view it offers.
