Hands down the best place to grab bakery treats and coffee in town! I love that it’s pet-friendly too, perfect for stopping by when I’m out walking my pup. The vibe is just awesome, super welcoming, and makes you want to stay longer.

We came in as a big group of 20+ and the team at Ciabatta Rotorua looked after us really well. The long dog is next level, the bread is mean – fresh and crunchy – and the cronuts were a good size and pretty tasty too. Awesome vibe, great food, and they handled a big crew with no hassle. Highly recommend!

Super good cafe. The ciabatta bread was the best I've eaten in NZ, so fluffy and flavoursome. The lamb was tender, and sauce matched well. Tried some of the salmon sandwich and croissant too, both of which were delicious also. Better than any cafe in Auckland, and will definitely come back when I visit Rotorua again :)

If you love bread like me, this is the place for you. I highly recommend this bakery, you can have a delicious sandwich or croissant here and buy delicious bread or something else tasty to take away. I'm sure you'll want to come back to this place again.

Tried the brekkie and the lammie sandwiches on 2 consecutive days.. both times were great..dine-in has lots of seats and privacy .. limited parking is available at the premises; gotta wait sometimes or drive further down the road.

Highly recommend, friendly staff, quick service and delicious food! We had a yummy pretzel and an amazing premium bacon & egg sandwich on a parmesan and garlic ciabatta! 🤤

Love this place! Sandwiches were outstanding! Back to basics and done well. I wish Auckland had something like this. I always come back to eat when I visit Rotorua! Can’t wait to come back again

the atmosphere was great just walking into the cafe, very warm and inviting. the same can be said about the kind staff :) I had the creamy mushroom dish, with warm toasted ciabatta, and creamy mushrooms in a rich sauce and parmesan. the side of bacon is a nice touch; definitely a lot of rich, hearty flavours. the price is quite high for the meals but understandable in the current economy. definitely a nice place to visit while staying in rotorua with your family!

Another good outlet. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. The quality of the menu and food is great 👍 and I would recommend a visit for a meal. Enjoy 😉

I came here with my family and ordered three servings of the “fish of the day,” but the fish was extremely fishy and almost inedible. We gave feedback the first time and were completely ignored. After asking again, a tall man finally came over, and we even offered him an untouched portion to taste. However, after he took the plate away, we waited for over 20 minutes and no one came back to explain or follow up. Right before we left, we had to approach them again, and the man just coldly said, “The fish isn’t fishy — it’s fresh,” completely dismissing our experience. The whole situation was extremely disappointing — the staff were dismissive, unhelpful, and showed no respect for customer feedback. This was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. We will never come back and definitely do not recommend this place to anyone.

$9.40 for a large flat white with oat milk…now I understand why the coffee prices aren’t on the board. The coffee was excellent and breakfast was lovely, but I can’t get past the cost. Feels like daylight robbery. Sorry guys - I’ve been here before and remembered it being great, so I came back while in town, but that eye-watering price has lost me.

Walking through the doors, the setup and arrangement were inviting. There were great options to choose from, a relaxing atmosphere, and wonderful staff.

Fantastic food, and service. The pork belly was outstanding. We liked the food so much we came back a second day in a row. And we were staying in Taupo! The cakes and desserts are outstanding also. Definitely the best Eggs Benedict in Rotorua!

I only had a coffee today but the selection of cakes, eats etc.was fantastic. Coffee was Delicious. I had a cuppa into. Vibe was lovely!

Absolutely loved my experience at Le Cafe de Paris in Rotorua! The food was fantastic, especially the crepe — generously portioned and absolutely delicious. The crepe has a touch of sweetness, so if you're not big on sweet treats, I’d recommend letting them know your preference. The cafe exudes a charming French vibe that truly made me feel like I was transported straight to France. The staff were polite and friendly, and service was impressively quick. Overall, a wonderful spot for a taste of France in Rotorua — I’ll definitely be returning!

Absolutely loved the experience of dining at Le Cafe De Paris in Rotorua. What a beautiful atmosphere, the staff were so friendly and welcoming and made you feel at home as soon as you walked in the door. I loved all of the Paris memorabilia, it took me back to when I visited Paris and now I want to go back. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered toasties and French crepes… superb! The crepes were incredible, and melted in the mouth. Food came out so quickly! I cannot wait until my next visit, I will definitely be back sooner rather than later. Merci

I have never been to Paris but I am guessing that when you enter Le Cafe De Paris that is what a cafe might feel like in Paris France. The atmosphere is amazing. The pictures all over the walls. The smell of fresh baked goods and food being prepared takes you far away yet you are here in this little fantastic cafe. Watching the owner make the crepes was great. She was so skilful. The food was amazing and the everyday breakfast was so with the value. It’s a shame I have never been to this place before even after coming to Rotorua since 2002. We had the everyday breakfast, crepes suzettes, almond croissants, pot of tea and a Latte. Lovely service and great food.

The owner is French - very authentic food. She is also very nice and friendly. The food is excellent and so is the coffee. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Rotorua. The only complaint I have is that it is rather pricey; we mostly go on special occasions. If it were less expensive, we would definitely go more often. Note that the restaurant itself is not very large so it does tend to fill up during normal meal times.

Très bien! What a lovely café in the heart of Rotorua! We came across Paris Café while walking around the city centre and were greeted by such friendly staff. We ordered a big brekkie and two crêpes to share—banana & Nutella, and lemon & sugar. Both were delicious! I loved the aesthetics of the café—decorated with charming French-themed details, it had such a cute and cozy vibe. It was quite packed, but that just added to the lively atmosphere. A great spot for both sweet tooths and savoury lovers. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love this cafe and the food served here. Watching the galettes in the making is pretty special, and the omelettes are outstanding. Great coffee too, and the staff are super friendly. Highly recommend!

Le Café de Paris is a real gem in Rotorua — it feels like you’ve stepped straight into a Parisian café. The food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented; fresh pastries, perfect coffee, and generous portions at very reasonable prices. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere where you feel like a regular even on your first visit. The café itself is spotless, with a lovely French ambience and plenty of seating. It’s rare to find this level of quality and value together. Highly recommended for breakfast, brunch, or just a great coffee and croissant. Will definitely be back!

Our favourite spot for food in Seminyak hands down. Atmosphere, food and service spot on. Two wait staff (both named Ari) were particularly great. Can’t wait to come back!

A very rustic European atmosphere, one of the best coffee spots in Rotorua. Good quality food is available however seating is limited and one should be aware that this isn't a working coffee shop, rather a place to chat and relax. It is located in the same building as a European import grocery store so you can do some shopping too. A must try if you're visiting Rotorua. Edit: "Working coffee" means a place where you can go to do work (study, online work and reading) and have a coffee.

A café inside the delicatessen VETRO in Rotorua. The service was jovial, the coffee was pleasant and the atmosphere was made better by all the yummy foods surrounding you.

I loved this place! Good coffee, nice selection of food. There are several tables that seat 4-6 and a large table to share. The big table is covered with interesting cookbooks and mags. I may just pop in for coffee and culinary inspiration again soon.

Revolver coffee served here, smooth nutty, but lacks a prolonged finish and complexity. Served with a almond praline. Friendly staff. Nice Italian music. Limited inside seating.

We stopped in at the Ranolf street shop. Because there are two stores. I had been to the other one twice before. And it was amazing. This third time, I had taken my colleague to get a pie. Which I had talked up. But the pies which seemed to appear as possibly the previous days pies. Because at 630am in the morning, only two of each pies were in the warmer. Pastry, felt stale. And inside of pie just didn’t seem to feel hot enough. It’s sad, because I talked it up so much. Before our trip back to Taupo after our long night shift. I hope you guys improve this. Because I had a great experience the previous two times. But usually, when a customer has an experience like that. They will go somewhere else. People talk, referrals don’t get passed on.

The pastry of the pies was good but we have had better fillings elsewhere. It's worth a try if you are in the area.

Worse pie in my entire life. $7.50 I paid and it is dry and hard. This place is a rip off !! I would preferred a Big Ben over this

Visiting Rotovagas and recommended here. Not disappointed, quality of the pie and freshness of the roll was great. Pie needed to be hotter but that’s just my preference.

The mince & cheese pie had a strange taste, it lacked flavour & seasoning. Coffee was decent though. Wouldn’t go back

Oh wow! Been meaning to try this place for ages. Was greeted by friendly staff, the girl recommended the Steak Cheese and Jalapeño Pie and it was insanely delicious 😋😋😋 Parking can be a bit of a hoha but that pie was so worth it! Managed to deny myself a donut but that cabinet looks so impressive too . I'll be back. That was amazing x

Incredible pies, had the paua pie and pork belly, and had to order another paua pie Pastry is crispy and filling creamy and tasty. 10/10 Paua pie on display.

Selwyn heights daily dose is way better I got a seafood pie from this one most if the pie was sauce 2x surimi meat 1x frozen Mussel with funny taste 1x small prawn 2x squid nit worth it atleast fill pie with seafood not just sauce tasted ok nothing great

Yum!! I'm not sure what more there is to say. The pies are devine. I don't think I've ever had such good pastry on a pie ever. So glad I stopped here on my way through rotorua. Donuts are super good too! The staff here are lovely and friendly. You feel genuinely welcomed into the store.

My partner keeps bragging about how NZ has better pies than Aussie so we here on holiday & I had one pie from somewhere an was average so i Google pies near me & daily dose came up & I seen that they have boil up pies & I just had to have one & OMG it was heaven the BOIL UP PIE was bloody AMAZING 😋🤤💦 when I come back here next time this will be the first place I come too oh & the fella in there was super friendly 😊 Definitely best pies ever here

Bought 4 pies from this place in account of the 5 star reviews. All of them below average. The beast pie was dry half full and so salty. The lamb and cheese and the pulled pork ones equally below par. The chi Ken and veg new pie was as basic as ever. I definitely would not recommend this for a good pie. So many other places to try.

Would be no stars but it doest give that option. When here for the first time in awhile staff are rude, only 2 checkouts open with long lines another 4 staff standing around, I had to put my trolly load through the self checkout option as waiting until next Xmas for the line to move with a couple of kids wasn't ganna happen. Up your game countdown central mall that is bloody atrocious! Won't be back

After hearing the profit result of a billion or so dollars during the current cost of living situation it was surprising that only 2 staff (1 checkout) was available to the 15-odd customers waiting to purchase.

Very handy to home,plenty of parking,Countdown shopping GREAT,shoppers movement within the store flow by where all shoppers know where their items of purchase are,no matter the age group. Staff always very helpful and pleasant Central Mall also has a great free flowing movement by where shoppers have great respect for each other around them. Shop outlets have all provided safe awareness to their customers and staff. What more can anyone expect when pan/19 has made us aware of what can happen in times of a crisis. LETS ALL KEEP SAFE.

Well laid out store, easy and convenient to find everything you need although stocks are low and some shelves are empty. The let down is poor customer service among check out/counter staff, one reason you got irate customers as staff provoke them with their appaling behaviour.

Was surprised to overhear staff having a big complain to each other about working conditions while I was shopping, no staff looked happy, but staff have been friendly enough service wise when needed. Good selection of products

Another fantastic experience at Countdown. Clean & fully stocked as always. Great selection & pricing. Lots of trolleys in the corral so no problems there. Easy in easy out. Parking lot is clean & accessed easily.

My review is slightly different and not directed at the shop itself but the staff. I did a delivery in there today and I had a few dramas. The man and security guard that came and helped me were absolutely fantastic. I just wish to thank them both ☺️

Place was nice but food tasted undercooked i had gotten chips, sausage roll, a sausage and a cheesecake. Cheesecake was alright at best, chips felt dry and had tasted like they had been there all day. Sausage was definitely undercooked. Wouldnt be surprised if i get food poisoning. Sausage roll tasted undercooked too. Dont recommend coming here dont waste your money.

Surprisingly good breakfast here. We were there early this morning on our way to Auckland and I was a bit apprehensive reading some of the negative reviews. We ordered the scrambled eggs on toast and bacon and eggs with toast and a tea and latte. The breaks was pretty good and service was quick.

Cute little cafe/bakery with read made sandwiches and made to order coffee. It was delicious and customer service was great as well. Cappuccino $5 NZD Chicken Bap Sandwich $7.50 NZD

Looks dated but do not let that put you off. This bakery is incredible The coffee warmed our hearts and the amount of delicious cabinet left me a bit stunned. Highly recommend

It's not just a bakery. It's an experience of the best pie I've ever had in New Zealand. The picture I posted isn't so Instagramable but I wanted to highlight how little 'jelly' they use and how the ingredients they do use are such good quality. The service is lovely and the bakery is nice and clean!

Easy placem. food was good. The kids loved the sausage rolls. The lava cake didn't have lava 😭

Not impressed with the food, was dry and some of the food my son and I bought was under cooked, after eating the food I got indigestion and not surprised if we will get food poisoning, we felt sick after eating the food, will not return, avoid if you can
