One of the most popular vegetarian restaurants in the city, celebrated for its extensive South Indian thalis and authentic local flavors. Pure vegetarian. I give one star less coz its very crowded esp during peak hours and sometimes people stand near the table to take over once it is free. It really annoys the ones sitting down and eating. Also they keep starring at us. Really not ok with that. Food taste is ultimate. Lots of vegetarian options. mini meals, thalis, dosas, paneer dishes, Chinese veg options like Schezwan paneer noodles—overall, a varied and flavorful menu. Average cost is quite budget-friendly—around ₹200 for two—making it excellent value.

We recently dined at your restaurant and ordered North Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The Paneer Butter Masala was overly sweet, while the Aloo and Gobhi Sabji tasted more like a curry dish. Additionally, the Singapuri Noodles had fruits added, which was unexpected and not typical of the dish. We hope you take our feedback constructively and make necessary improvements.

Had lunch at Hotel Sree Sabaress. The vegetarian Indian meal was served warm and tasted really nice. Service was good, making it a satisfying experience overall.

The food was really good and had local touch in it. Lots of food items like coconut soup ice cream n paan were complimentary with the thali and it had amazing vegetables which were must to taste items. We ordered special meal thali that had all of this included which costed around 219 rupees per person per plate.

Today I visited Hotel Sree Sabarees on Kamaraj Salai Road, Madurai, along with my boss, a colleague, and our driver, while returning from a customer visit. We decided to stop there for lunch, and it turned out to be a good choice. For anyone visiting Madurai and searching specifically for pure vegetarian options, this is definitely a place to consider. The food was fresh, tasty, and served quickly, making it convenient for travelers as well.

Lunch is classic banana-leaf fare: hot rice, sambar/rasam that change by the day, two simple veggies, appalam and curd, with refills that appear without waving. Service is brisk, prices are sensible, and the dining hall is kept clean despite the constant turnover. Crowd notes: peak hours mean shared tables and a little noise; parking around Periyar side lanes can be tricky. The parcel counter moves quickly if you’re catching a bus/train.

Food was delicious and the service was excellent and I will recommend who wants to test the Tamil traditional food..

I tried the ghee podi idli, onion uttapam, the masala dosa, vadai and also the ghee halwa. I’d say the ghee podi idli is a must try and cannot be missed. The idli was soft and delicious. The dosa and uttapam were decent as well. The ghee halwa is sweet and sticky, a good way to finish the meal. They serve these with three types of chutney, along with the traditional coconut chutney and sambar. The bad parts for me were that my vadai was raw on one side which was disappointing. The cleanliness of the floor could also be better. Worth a try if you’re in Madurai.

One of the best south indian places I've gone to. The podi idli and dosa were just 👌. I didn't like the jigarthanda very much but that's personal preference. Service was awesome, ambience was also great. I ordered through zomato too and it was brilliant even when cold. A bit on the expensive side though.

Ordered their signature ghee podi idli & normal idli, with filter coffee . Their podi idli was excellent with ghee and spicy podi flavor. Their complimentary chutnies were excellent and little spicy. Must try Madurai 's Famous JigarThanda from murugan Idli. It was excellent. Filter coffee was excellent. All chutnies were excellent. service was bit delayed, Card payments accepted. The main Issue if you are going is there is no car parking , we tried a lot to get a car parking at-last parked the car near a temple and paid 100 rs for car parking. The management should find a solution for this. so plan accordingly.

Had breakfast here with my family and the experience was good overall. We tried idli, dosa, uthappam, vada, and jigarthanda – all of them were tasty and of good quality, though the prices were slightly on the higher side. Their special chutney was flavorful, and the podi idli and podi dosa were the highlights. The place was neat and clean with good service. Jigarthanda was also nice, but it’s prepared outside and served only after billing, which makes it inconvenient to order as a dessert after the meal.

The ghee podi idlis are great. The service seemed a little too brash be it with their attitude or service. Had a very long wait time with no management of crowd. The branch near meenakshi temple offered a better experience altogether.

They serve best ghee idli podi with four types of chatini. Try the onion uthappam, it is nice and crispy. One of the must try food in Madurai. I came at 7am, they just opened. They served us with care.

Probably the best place around the city to have South Indian veg food. Really great food served by professional staff on banana leaf. The price is unbelievably low. We were visiting Meenakshi Amman temple and wanted a veg meal before we go for darshan.Our hotel staff suggested this hotel. I can't thank him enough. I liked the food so much I forgot to take pictures of the food, a rare thing for me to be honest.

Visited sree sabarees vegetarian restaurant recently. The food was really good — flavorful and satisfying. The service was neat and efficient, which added to the overall experience. However, the place was quite crowded, which made it a bit noisy and harder to find a seat. Still, definitely worth a visit for the taste alone! Parking was a bit difficult. Must try there Meals in afternoon it was awesome 👌. Service is excellent.

Based on online reviews ordered Milk halwa which was mediocre. Recommended for quick & filling breakfast at pocket friendly price. It is on Walkable distance from both Amman temple & Madurai bus stand or even railway station.

To the Restaurant Owner, We visited your restaurant for breakfast yesterday on our way back from Madurai, and I felt it necessary to bring a few concerning issues to our attention, as we were unable to find any responsible manager or staff member to report this to at the time. Upon entering, we noticed several tables uncleared and had to seat ourselves at one of them, expecting someone to clean it shortly. Unfortunately, despite waiting for over 25 minutes and informing multiple staff members particularly the women moving around the dining area the table remained unattended. Each time we asked, we were told, "It will be done," but no one followed through. The women staff were just moving around with a least bothered attitude, showing no sense of of responsibility. In contrast, the male staff members attending to the next two sections were assisting customers, and we noticed that guests who arrived after us were served their food well before us. When we attempted to place an order, a female staff member told us, without even looking in our direction, “The captain will come, sir. We have only one captain.” Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. After multiple follow ups, another lady finally came to take our order, but even then, about 10 minutes later, a different staff member approached us and asked us to repeat our entire order again. This cycle repeated several times. Each time a staff member came to our table, we were asked to confirm or repeat the order. Ultimately, it took 30 minutes to serve a dosa, The tea that was finally served was no better than hot water with sugar completely lacking in taste or quality. I generally avoid writing negative reviews, but the repeated carelessness, and lack of basic courtesy from the staff left us no choice. It was a deeply disappointing experience.

If you want authentic Madurai food, this is the place to Visit. The look is of the 1980s for sure, Very simple and not a lot of fancy fanfare. That is the reason their prices are reasonable and affordable to the common man. The taste is delicious and the people that serve food on your table have been doing it relentlessly over decades, but still have the same warmth and Kindness in them. One thing for Sure is that they should keep a good handwash without mixing water in it.

Had breakfast here after visit to Meenakshi Amma temple🙏. Food taste in Modern restaurant is good. Cost is reasonable. Service is also reasonable. I came to know that is one of famous restaurant in Madurai.

Worst. Meals below average for the 140rs they charge. Today we had meals there. Carrot porriyal I think they take the carrot not sold for long time with all sides black for per kg 10rs. One tomato gravy since tomato since it is of low cost l. Sambar and vathal kulambu all old. They also won't serve properly unless you ask them multiple times. Try some other hotels this is very bad. Better to avoid

Located on the main road with sufficient parking so that this restaurant is Always busy. Tiffins are good at taste but because it's on the roadside we don't feel peaceful and pleasant inside. Good for rushing people who wants to come eat and go. Manager is Mr.cool.

Actually we booked deluxe room for 3 days. Room was not good not worth for money I suggest to have food here is okay but don't book rooms here then you will suffer lot. AC worst inside , Very poor maintaince wash room looks more worst. The place wasn't neat and tidy.. There were only main tiffin items like idly dosa, chapatti parotta and Chinese items.. even Poori and other special items weren't available due to covid situations.. But the available for items were good.. located near matuthani bustand main road.. they also have a bakery and juice shop outside.. Ok review!

An old world canteen style all non vegetarian place. The establishment still seems to be in 1977 mode, not by design but rather by lack of upgrade to interiors and overall maintenance / look and feel of the restaurant. The first floor of the place has an air conditioned space which seems to have been recently renovated, but only partly. Seating furniture was surprisingly comfortable with weaved wicker like backing. Food was served warm (not hot) and was tasty with decent portions. Menu pricing is reasonable and falls in mid range category. You can easily spend ₹ 400-500 per head on an empty stomach. It's an ALL Cash place as they don't accept cards or any NFC, UPI option as well. Just Cash! A good classic Madurai place which can surely get a revamp.

Amsavalli Bhavan is one of the most famous biryani spots in Madurai among the locals, and we visited it based on their recommendation. We are from Kerala and were trying Tamil Nadu style biryani for the first time. Firstly, there is no dedicated car parking for this hotel as it is located on one of the busiest roads in town. You can park on the roadside if you find a spot — we spent some time looking for parking. The restaurant is always busy and usually full. There are two floors; you need to give your name at the counter and wait near the dining area. They will call you once a table for your group is ready. Luckily, we were just three people and got seats within five minutes after talking to the service staff. We tried their Chicken Biryani along with Chicken 65. The biryani tasted superb. They serve biryani as a portion (which they refer to as a 'plate'), which is roughly equal to a half biryani elsewhere. Mutton, beef, and egg biryani are also available. Each portion comes with a big piece of chicken, rice, gravy, and salad. Taste-wise, it was very good, but they charged ₹276 per biryani, which felt a bit expensive for the portion size. Another drawback is that they accept only cash payments. There is no AC facility. A separate counter is available for parcel orders.

Tried the mutton biryani. The biryani tasted good and there was a decent amount of mutton pieces in it as well. The food came quick and service was decent as well. However, for the price the quantity wasn’t great and the seating area wasn’t very clean. The lighting was also low, making it appear quite shady.

Authentic seeraha samba briyani point. Tried mutton briyani, chicken briyani, chicken 65🍗, prawn 65, mutton sukka for lunch🍚. Each and everything is delicious but the quantity is much less for the price😐. The atmosphere is a bit clumsy but the food we ordered was served quickly. Apart from starters and main course I enjoyed tasting the grape juice (which I heard was famous here), loved it. The mutton piece in the briyani was juicy not chawak chawak😋. So I liked that. Final part : Price doesn't meet the quantity. That's the point, yeah it's a bit costlier here, try if you are a briyani lover.🤗

Best place for non-vegetarian food in Madurai! Absolutely loved the mutton biryani, kola urundai, and the apple juice — the juice was top-notch; I’ve never had it in this style anywhere else. Amsavalli is truly one of the hidden gems of Madurai.

The food was really tasty! We ordered pepper chicken gravy, special parotta, boneless chicken, chicken biryani, and fruit juices. I liked all the dishes served — everything was flavorful. The ambience was also good, we sat on the first floor in the AC hall, which was clean and comfortable. It’s definitely a decent place for families to dine in.

This is the best shop to have filter coffee, and it is the right place for the coffee lovers. I really enjoyed the taste and aroma of the coffee. Pl ase maintain the same quality and keep up the good work. We can place our coffee glass in the specified area which helps them to easily collect the cups later. You can see this kind of arrangements almost all over Madurai.

Undoubtedly one of the Madurai's best coffee it might look costly but worth. Service can be better atmosphere is nothing special just a roadside coffee shop. Note no tea is available only coffee and milk.

One of the best authentic Madurai coffee shop.. they serve wonderful crispy methu vada and very good coffee.. the place is always swarmed with people for the wonderful coffee... They have token system for buying coffee and vada.. only problem is there is no place to sit and have the coffee.. Otherwise a wonderful place.. definitely recommend them

Got a meal here. The taste was just ok. Appalam was not fried properly. Bad choice of vegetables in the meal.Sambar and Vathal kulambu tasted good. Payasam in the meal was like glue but the taste was good. The place was not neat, especially the hand wash area. It was too dirty. There were many boys to serve us around but still they could not understand the local language. I paid a hundred rupees for the food. Though the taste doesn't matter when I was hungry I felt bad because I have paid for it.

All veg items in tiffins and meals are available. Tea, coffee, snakes and juice all are available at any time. Good responses and all workers are active. You can get good and positive responses from servers without expecting tips. Yes, it should be mentioned here. " No tips for servers". We should appreciate the hotel administration for taking good care of their workers. Food quality is good and hygienic. But sometimes the taste was missing. Particularly kurma (குருமா) and sambar (சாம்பார்) are in average taste. But recently the sambar taste improved. In chutney, coconut chutney tastes to be improved (don't add raw garlic). But overall a good restaurant in Madurai.

The tiffin items in this hotel will be average but the meals provided by them will be little disappointing . The name is changed from Hari Krishna tk Saravana bhavan. I don't know its running under same management or different but the food here I tried was curd rice and chappathi which was very worst. If you expect curd rice properly stuffed with curd, ginger, curry leaves, mustard seeds, salt then this is not your place. They just mix curd in a hurry white rice and serve. May be curd rice would have ran out and they did this but really for 60rs the quantity n quality is not worth. Then coming to chappathi which was served in a dirty plate by the service person who claims it to be clean. There are few other options too nearby so just ignore this place.

Good lunch today☺️☺️☺️😊😊😊✅ 28th July 2021 Meals - Low budget veg meals rs 70 inc gst with clean atmosphere and some quality food by them. Including- White rice limited by enough quantity, sambar, rasam, butter milk, 2-side dishes, mango and ginger pickle, Pappas and payasam. Served in banyan leaf with purified water. Taste is good and make us revisit to taste 😋 Good quality food and taste. Coffee served in vattai cup. Traditional taste filter coffees 06th July 2021 A) Idlies are soft and meet our expectation served with sambar, coconut chutney, tomato chutney and idli podi on Banana leaf. B) Puffy poori not more oily served with potato kurma, but I asked more sambar. Liked 😋

I don't know how this restaurant got 3.8 rating. At madurai highway we decided to have our lunch at a pure veg restaurant, There were so many Advertisements for Meenakshi Bhavan so thought that would be a good choice,but it was the worst experience for us. Over priced food. It was a dine in restaurant,but they asked us to pay at the counter first and give the slip to the attendant, before that the person who should have made the bill didn't know what was available from the menu. Just for water we waited for 10-15 minutes and the food was horrible, tasteless even though they didn't even care about their customers and what they were asking for. Very unclean table and utensils. Every table someone was shouting for something. Don't over order food. I wish we would have went to any non veg restaurant at least they would give us good quality veg food.

Very bad experience overall. No one responded even after calling the waiter several times. I had to wait an absurd amount of time just to place my order, and even getting a glass of water felt like too much to ask. The staff seemed completely uninterested and ignored customers like they didn’t care at all. On top of that, they have a minimum threshold for GPay, which is ridiculous and outdated. Honestly, the service was frustrating, the attitude was careless, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Hello, Meenakshi Bhavan was a wonderful hotel in Madurai. The foods are pure vegetarian. If you are looking for a pure vegetarian hotel this is the one you must needed. Only thing I doesn't like is, they can make the eating place little more bigger. If the area was big, surely I will be giving 5stars. The best Vegetarian hotel. Thank you......

A good place to have a break on a long journey. Its a South-Indian hotel, having different varieties of food and dishes.

Good food at worst atmosphere. Had pongal + vada + coffee = 110Rs + 10 Rupees tips. Pongal is good meets my expectation. Vada as well is good but not hot. Coffee decoction is good but milk is mediocore that spoiled the coffee taste. Don't use mediocore milk brand milk pockets and use milk from paal pannai as used by hotels nearby for good taste. Service is good - very fast. Though not professional service, it is ok. The main negative is their maintenance of the hotel. It was too dirty and not even in clean shape. They should have provided closed AC dining for this price (its not cheap) but chose to keep the entire hotel front (30 feet) kept OPEN in front of main road - all the dust from buses/auto/biktes are happily entering into our food. More over the sofas/chairs are very old / pathetic and we could see very mediocore. Even small restaurants keep their hotel environment nice now a days, not expecting this from temple city chain.

I am 2 star not because food. Food was great here but in Madurai every service provider forces you to pay extra. This is only with tourists. The server at the restaurant forced us to pay the tip, even after refusing he was not moving forward with payment and only after adding extra he agreed.

Nice place for Lunch near the Railway station area. Parking can be a big hassle as it's a busy & crowded road. The Veg biryani was pretty good & quite spicy. We visited here towards the end of Lunch time. Lemon rice,cued rice & meals were ok. The coffee here was very good though & provided a nice end to the meal.

We traveled from Bangalore to Madurai, and behind this hotel, there were some other options available. We decided to have dinner here. My friends wanted to go to a different hotel, but I insisted on trying this one to see how the food was. Honestly, it was a complete disappointment. The food had no taste at all. We ordered fried rice, kothu parotta, rava dosa, Gobi fry, and paneer. The paneer was spoiled, and the overall taste of the food was terrible. We barely ate anything, just a little, paid the bill, and left.

Atchayas Hotel great busy restaurant. Especially in the evening hours it will be very busy. Crowded with families and kids. Best place to have Tiffin like items. Kids enjoy the taste of this hotel's preparations. With less oily, not that much spicy so it is very suitable for kids. Lunch sambar taste is very good.

I tried their sakkarai pongal and it was not good. It was too sweet its not that Flavorful and it had lumps of rice and dal. Cashews and dry grapes was absentees in the scene. Their food quality is going down over the last few years.

Heard it is a favourite spot in madurai but they made feel like not a great choice. They didnt have much options except idly and dosai. When we asked podi idli or podi they didnt have it to serve though we went early morning. Idly was so soft and good, chutney options can be better and sambar was literally like rasam Ulunthu vadai - not cooked properly Masal podi dosai was ok Coffee was soo light Totally we didnt enjoy their food.

This shop of Murugan Idli is like a small local shop like any other nearby. Personally, I enjoyed the food. I tried the Ghee Podi Idli and Pongal. Both were agreeing to my taste and I would try again if I get the opportunity.

Food is tasty and has different food options which is great. But the taste of oil on coconut chatney and kuzhi paniyaram are tasted like using already used oils which is extremely dangerous. If ur using fried oil please don’t do so..

Normally whenever come to Madurai once in two months used to have dinner at West Masi street Branch especially Ghee Roast with podi ( called podi Dosa). It was my favourite dish. Today dinner had there with Useless podi Dosa ( no proper roast Dosa and podi was just put one place accumulated without any oil it was just a dry podi (powder) was there. Unable to eat the said Dosa and left it as it's. Despite made a complaint to the supervisor and the servor they have taken full amount from me and no seriousness found. It's really surprised no supervision was there. And the price of Dosa also High. Please don't order Podi Ghee roast dosa

Myself along with my family members went to this hotel temple City located at Dindigul bypass and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The service was extremely disappointing, with unhelpful and inattentive staff who seemed uninterested in addressing our concerns. The biggest issue was the food. The meals were not only below expectations but also unsafe. Several members of my family suffered from food poisoning after eating at the hotel, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath for the past four days. This is absolutely unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one that’s supposed to provide a comfortable and safe environment for guests. I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think twice. A hotel experience should be about relaxation and enjoyment, but this stay left us feeling ill and frustrated.

Actually I went to this hotel for dining, the food taste was good but the service for parcel was too the core worst also they are very rude and not at all concerning for customers service. They are having goodwill and good brand image so they are not polite enough to serve pepper.

There is a private A/C room that's convenient. The location is peaceful away from the next busy and noisy Omni and Maatuthavani bus stands. Each food item served is different and unique and has additional unexpected ingredients or side dishes.

Total waste! Please avoid! Zero customer empathy/service! Zero food quality! Zero professionalism! Was returning back from Tirupati to Madurai. On the way, decided that we will have dinner at Temple city inspite me never liked Temple city. There were 10 people in my group. In my table of 4, we ordered for Idly, the server came back handed over a thattu idly and said only that piece is left and we can have it. Then i asked if i can get tomato uthappam which was put up on display. The server came after few mins. When i enquired about it, he said he totally forgot about it. He again went and came back after 5 mins and said it will take time to cut tomatoes. I said fine, please get me a regular dosai. After 5 mins, he came and says, the batter has to be mixed. What an irresponsible behaviour. I came out and i was shouting at the entrance for the manager. No other servers or the cashier even bothered about it. After shouting for 10 mins, then came a person claiming him to be the manager. He said, now the tomato uthappam is ready. Please have it. He spoke a bit rude and questioned me on why am i making a fuss and why don’t i eat. Later, i found out from the other table of my people that, the ghee roast which was ordered came in a palm size and the chola bhature came uncooked. Highly lethargic. I think the management is happy opening numerous branches and don’t give a thought about customer management. As long as they get some money from few people, i think they are very happy with it. Wrote a long note in the feedback register. I think it will go to dustbin soon. I am never ever visiting any of the branches of temple city.

2 days back I lhad been to this Hotel Temple City Uthangudi Madurai and stayed there for 2 days with my family of over 15 members. Had very bad experience there. When we leave the room in locked state and go outside and come back, we could see that the rooms were opened without our permission. Actually 3 of our rooms were opened without our permission. When we came to know and questioned the hotel employees( Raventh and Siva Sankar), they were very rude in answering. Employee Raventh was very rude, when we questioned he came jumping to hit my dad. And we all questioned continuously, he was still maintaining that attitude. He was very rude and he was still the same. We were very much scared, as we had almost 6 childrens and 5 ladies in our family. We did not continue more, we left the site. That employee Raventh was saying that his way of talking was as per their slang, I have many Madurai friends who does not talk that way. He is really spoiling the hotel name. Please don't visit this room l, we had a very worst experience.

Hands down, one of the best breakfast spots I’ve ever been to. If you’re anywhere near Natham, don’t miss it!

Small non vegetarian restaurant with tasty food at Natham. Famous for the fried Parotta and Mutton chukka. 5-6 people can sit on a mat and dine in traditional South Indian banana leaf. They also have chairs under the tree with thinnai ( olden days concrete bench ) to sit and dine in plates like outdoor dining, when it is crowded inside the restaurant. The owner and the staff take care of us like their relatives rather than staff-customer relationship. The access road is narrow without any room for parking, though some space available for car parking opposite to the restaurant. Timing is strictly till 11 AM only.

The place where all the foodies visited, we visited this place around 8 o’clock. By the time we entered, already the mutton chukka was over and they were cooking for the next batch. After 20 minutes, they served with poricha parotta with salna and mutton chukka. Overall the mutton chukka was flavorful and one quantity is sufficient for two people. They also serve plain biryani and visit this place, if you go via Natham.

Felt bad that I've tried non-veg here. Been here many times and it's my first time in the non-veg section, their suggestions were to raise the bill and not better combos, also quality of cooking non-veg doesn't feel good. I've came here many times. but, My opinion about this venue has changed drastically after this dinner.

We went on peak hour on Sunday morning (mugoortham day), full crowd. Somehow we got seat after waiting 15mins. Food is good, quality is good, taste is good, Service is also good, Price is value for Money. We ate ghee roast, Kesari. Decent restaurant, crowd management can be improve better.

We visited both and tried mutton biryani, veg meals, and chicken 65. The mutton biryani was absolutely top-notch—flavourful, tender meat and perfectly spiced rice. A definite must-try! The veg meals had a decent variety and tasted homely, while the chicken 65 was crispy and well-marinated. Clean setup, good service, and worth a visit if you’re traveling through this route. Would go back just for the biryani!

We had Non veg starters and biriyanis. Quantity is too less for that price. Highly priced. Not worth for money. With no logic they take online payment through phonepe and Gpay only. I have paid INR 4855 twice bcos I have paid through Bhim app. Very bad strategy. No customer centric approach. Over the years most of the customer service has gone down.

1/5 stars - AVOID HARI'S RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS! I'm writing this review as a warning to others: stay far, far away from Hari's Restaurant. As a regular visitor, I thought I knew what to expect, but yesterday's experience was absolutely appalling. We ordered a couple of drinks, including a milkshake and Jigarthanda, and were shocked when the receptionist rudely thrust a QR code scanner at us without even a hint of courtesy. We paid via UPI, only to be told afterwards that it wasn't accepted - after the amount had already been debited from our account! When I politely asked the receptionist to clarify, he became aggressive and dismissive, telling me to "ask before" paying, despite me having asked beforehand. He then demanded I pay again, promising a refund in a couple of days. The whole interaction was infuriating, and his attitude was completely unprofessional. But what happened next was even more shocking. When I expressed my frustration and disappointment, the situation escalated, and we had a heated argument. His behavior was completely unacceptable, and he seemed to take pleasure in being confrontational. The lack of respect and courtesy displayed by the staff is staggering. It's not about the money; it's about being treated with basic human dignity. If you value your self-respect, don't waste your time or money on Hari's Restaurant. Trust me, you won't regret avoiding this place.

✨✨ it was ok place. I tried their panipuri but it was not very good, after buying itself cravings has gone not felt like eating. ✨A lot of dust was inside the shop on the table. ✴️ Service was very good. 👉👉I felt they should work on cleanliness, quality , hygiene and organisation.✨✨

My favourite place for chicken sandwiches. They have been consistently giving the same taste for many years even after the ownership change. I usually go for the sandwich combo that has everything in it. The best part is their mayonnaise sauce, with a good amount of garlic flavour, it is not too sweet like other places and is so rich in quality. The only drawback could be the parking space. They also make some good cakes. It's an old place most of the madurai men in their forties will know them.

Dahi puri , falooda and sundae was very good (9/10) Pani puri and pizza was okay... (6/10) Mayonise should be improved in fried chicken... cappacino and panner manchurian was veryyyyy worst... really disappointed by these (4/10)

We ordered a chicken burger, fried chicken, and egg puffs, but the batter in the chicken burger was not good, but the fried chicken was amazing. Fried chicken was so crispy, and the egg puffs were amazing.

Compared to the places I have travelled this is quite a average cafe in terms of everything. Not a fancy place but it will suffice your needs for food like sandwich, burger, rolls, milkshakes, puff etc. Quality is decent enough can’t complain. Pricing is also fair. Quantity served is also fine.

I was extremely disappointed with my visit in this hotel. While eating, I discovered a worm in my food in Sambar which is completely unacceptable. This raises serious concerns about the restaurant's hygiene and food safety standards. I immediately reported it to the staff, but the response was underwhelming and lacked urgency. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves their kitchen practices. Most of them suggested hotel but never expected this kind of unhygienic.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hotel Gowri Krishna in Madurai, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. First off, the Mushroom Dosai I ordered was absolutely wonderful. Had meals & tiffin here for lunch There's always crowd coming in sonprak hours are rush. Located on roadside so can't be missed. Has ample parking area. Vegetarian restaurant, servers are prompt & polite. Taste wise I couldn't say it's exceptional as I have had better vegetarian dishes in Kerala Ernakulam... In Madurai my experience in food has been very moderate. Nothing exceptional. So am ok with food but not hungry for more unfortunately 😔

We visited on 13/09/ 2025. Thali is for Rs 135/- and special thali Rs 185/-. Banana and sweet pan is given with special thali. Good taste.fast service. We have ordered curd rice also which was very good.

I recently visited Gowri Krishna along with my mother and my 2-year-old son for lunch. We ordered for three head counts – 1 Chapathi set, 1 Mushroom Biryani, and 1 Meals. While dining, my mother, who was not feeling well, was unable to finish her meal and fed me a small portion to avoid wasting food. At that time, your supervisor, Mr. Muniyandi, approached us and informed in a strict manner that meals are allotted to only one person and sharing is not allowed. Even after I explained politely that we had ordered for three and my mother had only shared 2 spoons due to her health, he repeated the same point in a harsh tone. He even went on to say that “even if your mother food gets wasted, please waste it, but you don’t have the right to eat.” I was quite taken aback by this response, as I believe it could have been handled in a more understanding and respectful way. To my disappointment, nobody from the management came forward to resolve this issue. This turned out to be the worst experience I have had at a restaurant, and it left a very negative impression about Gowri Krishna’s management and customer care.

A special mention to their idly milagai podi mixed with gingelly oil—it’s delicious and elevates the taste. Even their idly parcel is neatly packed and just as good for a train journey. Highly recommended for anyone passing through Madurai Junction. Perfect for a quick, satisfying, and authentic South Indian meal.

We visited this place during our stay in India and were pleasantly surprised. The menu included modified European dishes, which we really appreciated. We ordered fries and pizza in a non-spicy version – everything arrived exactly as requested and tasted great. The cappuccino was unexpectedly excellent – strong, aromatic, and with a nice foam. Definitely one of the best we had during our trip. The environment was clean, air-conditioned, and overall very pleasant. The staff was kind, attentive, and helpful, even with our specific food requests. We definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a local spot with a touch of European flavor!

I love the Ambiance. They serve only veg food. We come usually for the coffee ! Tried Fried ice cream it was good, but the quantity is more, 2 people can share. The Burgers need to be improved. I haven't tried much of their food though. I have visited around 5 times for ambiance and coffee alone.

Please avoid this hotel. Very worst hotel. Price very high but quantity very low. For example we ordered chicken boneless. Price is 100 but quantity only 4 pieces. Dosa very small. Mutton chukka they charge 160 but very very low quantity. They are cheating the customers. Please don't encourage these type hotels. Just because of the trademark or brand name people go in search of this hotel but surely everyone will experience what i said.

It's a very small shop at Goripalayam Bus stop. Along with shop they have a small ac dinning area . Taste is good. Very much budget friendly . If you want to have a quick dinner at low budget near to a main road or shopping area, without compromising on tast , then it's one of those spots

Seeing the outlook of the place i thought of having a good dinner. It was on a corner of a road with no parking facilities. I parked my car around the corner and went inside. I ordered a fried rice and chappathi. The way the food was served made me feel that am in a wrong place for dinner. The waiter placed my order on next seat from where was sitting. I dragged the plate towards me and asked for a fork, within a split second after the plate was placed the waiter was missing from the place.I stopped him when he came back and asked for a fork and he brought it. After few minutes i was searching for a waiter to bring me water, no one was around and i went myself to the billing counter and asked for water . I told about way of service to the person in cash counter. There was no response towards it. In short an average food taste with below average service.

It has restaurant with AC as well as non AC seating inside. And at entrance Tea and coffee self service point. Where you can have some snacks on the go. From here I have tried: Tea - Rs.17- 5/5-was good Coffee -Rs 17-5/5- was good Vada-Rs10- 5/5- was good - it was fresh and soft. Sweet vada- Rs10- was good -crispy and slightly sweet In the restaurant also I have tried breakfast in Non AC seating. Seats are very comfortable. Food has normal pricing and tastes also good.

We went during a pleasant evening after having Meenakshi Amman temple darshan. It was not very crowded but it was a decent place. We chose an AC section which had very dim lighting. We ordered dosa,idly it was good and if i remember correctly the chutney was not that good and asked for a replacement. Coffee was good. The hand wash area and the washroom are untidy. It was okay to visit the restaurant.

A decent, clean place to dine . Visited the restraunt in the morning. They do have a variety of items for a tasty breakfast . One can undoubtedly have a tummy full eateries for a reasonable price . The staff attend their customers extremely well without making them wait for too long. As a traveller, one blessing was the neatly maintained washroom. KPS is a two floor restaurant located near the periyar bus stand. It has an AC and a Non AC section. Overall the restaurant is clean, however the service is very slow. The stewards take thier own time to bring the food and need constant reminding that you have ordered. I had a juice and a wheat ( godhi/godhumalli) dose it was very good. Over all an okayish place to have a quick dinner.

This Busy place is quite busy as its popular Around Madurai and close to Periyar bus stand & Madurai Railway station. They serve Authentic South Indian dishes. We tried Masala Dosa & Rava Dosa which tasted great and we can rarely find such delightful and aromatic dish anywhere around. They served three type of chutney along with sambar in Banana leaf tucked plate. Must try Hotel when you are around Madurai.

An underrated veg restaurant in madurai in super prime location. Been a fan of their Chilli parotta from childhood. Gone there after long time they have renovated a lot now. Taste remains great as usual. We gone there by 9 30 almost all dishes were available all items were served hot and in quick time. Sambar, chutneys tasted really well and was in good quality. I won't suggest this place for a family outing if you are about to have dinner or breakfast alone or with only one companion Try them as it's fully having floating crowd so seating won't be available. Lots of rush is there due to its presence in prime location near nethaji road and periyar bus stand. Service has to be much much improved all old aged service man they are not polite at all to even tell the menu just want us to Answer very very quickly without thinking twice they are even going for a fight with customers who were taking little time to order by thinking, luckily it didn't happen to us but we saw it happen to other occupants in our table. Service is a must needed improvement here. Taste is really good. Pricing is moderate. Since we were a little late we found parking easily. Don't come with your car i won't recommend it. Very tasty food with affordable price. We went for lunch. The sambar, rasam, curd with three side dishes, Rice podi with ghee are very tasty. If you have a Chance to go there try it for great feel.

The speciality here is the mini snacks Center to the left side of this hotel , you can taste the best of vada and chutney here in this place, it's been more than a decade since I was introduced to this place they still maintain the very same delicious taste not changed one single bit. A must try place for people visiting Madurai.

WORST SERVICE & ZERO RESPECT FOR COUSTOMER + NO GPAY, ONLY CASH I had onion bonda. They gave it with coconut chutney which was the only thing I felt good about the place. They didn't give any respect when I asked about what was hot at the time. After the bonda was served they told there is no Gpay which is very stupid. I had 500rs and they again disrespected me for that, but i couldn't walk away as the food was already served. Bonda was cold and hard too. Would never come again

Enjoyed veg foods at low price and good quality .

Always have customer. Coffee and tea is good. In the evening they have karupatti paniyaram and boli and it was also good. Recommended.

Taste was okay. Morning variety rice like lemon, curd, biriyani available. Tiffin items are warm except dosa. No parcel bags available we need to take bag for take away.

Basically the 3 star is for the taste but the quality of people who behave is so bad especially the packing fellow . Overall it's a price high than usual and unwanted attitude like why extra . you will get if you dine in or take away

The hotel stood here for more than a quarter century. The quality is satisfactory, though it can't be treated as fentastic. Opens in the early hours all the days and used to be open even beyond 9.00 PM. Reliable restaurant.

Tastiest podi and ghee dosa in town, with great tasting chutneys and sambar... Very friendly staff with humble background, and a very clean and bright ambience. Must-try for off the menu items by speaking to the co-owner in shorts 😄😉 - carrot-onion-tomato uthappam

Quality and Rich taste at cheap cost. Ambient certainly needs renovation. Tables , refrigerator outside has to be changed . Traditional style of cleaning your own plate.The wash basin is holed inside a wall so you cannot really bend to splash your face or even spitting out . Service needs tonne improved. There was only one service person at the time of my visit for breakfast. Would certainly visit again. Spoke to the owner. He said a nice sentence in Tamil. Prices are a bit high. They will say like idlies got sold wantedly in order to sell the high price items. Taste wise okay. Hygiene wise not good. Prices are a bit high.
