Teatro Alessandro Bonci, also known as Teatro Comunale Alessandro Bonci, is a historic opera house located in Cesena. Built in the mid-1800s by architect Vincenzo Ghinelli, it features a neoclassical facade and a classic semi-circular auditorium with five tiers of boxes. The theater was dedicated to the renowned tenor Alessandro Bonci and has recently undergone interior renovations to restore its original colors and materials.
The theatre of Cesena. Best acoustics along with La Scala. Amazing place. Cesena may well be the most underrated town in Italy

I would highly recommend this Theater. I attended a jazz concert last Saturday 4th February given by the excellent Australian jazz pianist, singer, and composer Sarah McKenzie and her brilliant quartet. It is a beautiful place in pristine condition. The staff were friendly and efficient. The sound quality in the theater was excellent, and I could clearly hear each instrument----piano, double bass, guitar ( electric 7 string jazz ) and drums, and her voice, with no muffling, or no feeling that the sound was going over my head. Definitely to be recommended

Musicalia Museum radiates the immense passion, gentleness, determination, research, and meticulous precision of Franco Severi. It is situated in a captivating and well-maintained setting. This remarkable collection of mechanical musical instruments serves as a constant reminder that for centuries, the human voice was mankind's sole source of sound. A visit to Musicalia Museum is an absolute must-do for anyone seeking to delve into this extraordinary world of music.
A hidden treasure in the hills outside Cesena. Wonderful collection and informative guided tour.

Very pleasant and detailed guided tour. The pieces on display are of great value and rare beauty. The staff is truly special and kind. (Translated by Google) A true hidden gem just outside Cesena! The Museum of Mechanical Music was a surprising discovery: fascinating, with attention to the smallest details and capable of transporting you to another era. I visited thanks to a trip and even the kids were enchanted, it's difficult not to get involved in the magic of the music that accompanies every step, inside and outside the villa. The surrounding park is also enchanting and hosts sound installations that make the experience even more immersive. A highly recommended visit for all ages! Open only on weekends and holidays, but for large groups contact the museum. The kids also did a very nice workshop. Two different paths are possible, one on mechanical music and the other on Carducci who stayed at Villa Silvia. (Original) Un vero gioiello nascosto appena fuori Cesena!

(Translated by Google) An incredible experience, especially for the kids. It's fascinating to see the history of music come to life through instruments that still work, just like they did all those years ago. The guide was exceptional, able to explain in a clear and engaging way. The children had fun discovering the sounds and mechanisms of ancient instruments, such as music boxes and pianos. A truly unique museum, which combines history and curiosity in an interactive way.

(Translated by Google) My friend recommended this museum, so I came to Cesena specifically for this purpose, and after about forty minutes of cycling, I arrived at the museum entrance. I arrived during opening hours (I checked several times), but despite my repeated attempts to ring the bell, I received no answer. I noticed that the lights inside were on, music was playing, and I could see someone moving around inside—but apparently, that person had ignored my presence. After waiting almost thirty minutes and trying to contact them several times, I decided to leave. I think your museum could be truly interesting, but I was very disappointed with the treatment I received during opening hours, especially considering that I came to Cesena specifically for this purpose and spent almost an hour and a half cycling there and back to visit. I hope you can take steps to improve the situation.

The Biblioteca Malatestiana Moderna, also known as the Malatestian Library, is a significant symbol of Cesena's medieval prosperity. It was built by the Malatesta family and has been recognized by UNESCO for its well-preserved structure and manuscripts. The library is located on the second floor of the modern Public Library and offers a wide range of contemporary texts, from art to non-fiction.
This is a hidden treasure in Emilia Romagna. It's only possible to visit it through a quick and explanatory tour. From the moment you step in, you enter in a magical atmosphere where time seems to have frozen. Simply amazing how well is kept after all these centuries. Stunning.

I’m really glad we decided to take the guided tour. You can't enter the old library without a guide, so booking this tour was a great choice. It lasted about 45 minutes and was absolutely fascinating. Our guide was excellent and highlighted many details that we would have otherwise missed. Seeing the setup with the chained books in person was truly mind-blowing. Plus, it was a perfect way to escape the summer heat! The ticket price was definitely worth it. This is a must-see if you're in Cesena.

Notably recognized by UNESCO, the new library is a jewel rediscovered with a ton of spaces, reading amenities and a huge collection of books, media and the 15th century library that is a must to be seen
Matteo D — Google review
A couple of things I wish I would have known before coming here: 1) It is on the 2nd flr of the current, modern Public Library 2) You can only just walk in the door; the reading desks and essentially the library itself is roped off 3) The "guide" is just the guy that opens the gate and the door and plays the "history" off his phone in whatever language you request That being said, even though I was a bit disappointed in experiencing the library itself, it was still a major book/history nerd moment to even be there. To see the old reading alters with the manuscripts still attached with the original chains and the two keyed door that was also part of the original library, still standing just as they 550+yrs before; it was actually surreal to process. And the fact that I had it all to myself, (I lucked out as it was just me and the guide) made it all the more special! There is a large room adjacent to the library hall where some of the previous popes' personal collections as well as manuscripts from the early 1400s-1600s and old medical, botany, and other scientific books from the 15th century on, are encased. You can also walk around the enclosed bookcases and see some of the old books throughout the collection, which is extremely impressive! For me, however, the smell was the most intoxicating part of the whole experience. The smell in the ancient reading hall, and the smell in the book museum. That old, earthy blend of vellum, antique inks, and timeworn leathers was ethereal and well worth the 5 euro price of admission! I had specifically come to Cesena to visit this library and was only there for just over 2hrs as a detour on my way to Rome from Venice; it took me longer to travel there than time spent! But, it was so worth the visit to experience such a venerable and only humanistic-conventual link to the past. That, in and of itself, was worth the effort! Tip: Unless you are part of a pre-scheduled tour group, you will need to purchase a ticket and request a guide from one of the receptionists in the unmarked office behind the wood door immediately to your right as you come up the stairs to the second floor.

Piazza del Popolo is a charming cobblestone square in Cesena, Italy. At its center stands a grand fountain, surrounded by quaint stores and cafes. The square is home to the Palazzo Vecchio and the old Malatestiana fortress, which hosts a lively outdoor market every other Saturday. The fortress sits atop Garampo hill and is surrounded by Remembrance Park.
Nice view on Malatesta, You can relax in one of the restaurants and if You have lucky You can buy something on the market. For me it is pure Italia.

Such a beautiful place! History speaks for itself there. Next to the 15th century fortress. Cafe's and designer boutiques around. Plenty of parking for any size of vehicle. I'll definitely visit this place again with more time in my hand to explore better.

A traditional square below a castle, it's not very special but helps to complete the scene of the ancient site.

Beautiful piazza. It is the biggest in Cesena, but not particularly large by Italian standards. What makes it interesting is the fact that it is only enclosed on three sides and open on one. The fountain in the middle is small, but architecturally attractive.

Very bad organise the entrance, is evident they dont have experience with large groups of fans !!!
Radu M — Google review
The stadium was initially constructed in 1957 but at the time had no seats, just two terraces. In 1973, when AC Cesena reached Serie A status, the stadium was greatly expanded and could hold 30,000 spectators. In this version of the stadium, the highest ever attendance was recorded when on 10 February 1974, 35,991 people watched Cesena defeat giants AC Milan. The stadium was called La Fiorita from its construction until 1982, when it became named after former Cesena president Dino Manuzzi. In 1988, the stadium underwent a complete restructuring were all of the existing stands were demolished and then rebuilt. The new capacity was reduced to 23,860. As a part of Italy's Euro 2016 bid, the Dino Manuzzi was included and there were plans to invest close to €30m on the stadium. The planned changes included an increase in capacity to over 31,000, new press boxes, VIP lounges and media boxes. This fell through after Euro 2016 was awarded to France.

Amazing place, you can park your car on smal hill close to the bastion. Possibile when there's no big tourists around. But I suggest to walk there. Plus nice city gate and walls near by and worth to see
Slawomir P — Google review
Very nice castle with a interesting history. Definitely worth a visit. The castle wall gate is open and free to enter. However to enter the castle itself and walk through the castle, on top of the walls and inside the walls you need to book the guided tour. It is not expensive and highly adviced! Not much to see without the tour.
Damiaan H — Google review
The central part of the old Cesena fortress. Guided tours are necessary to visit the castle except for its grounds. Available every hour, the tour is well worth the time to understand more about the castle and the city itself. It also contains well kept passageways that are worthwhile for anyone interested in seeing Italian medieval castles.

One of the best attraction of Cesena. Really nice view from the top of the city. Inside the fortress you can take a coffe in the bar, visit the museum of the agriculture (witch was not really interesting for me) and have a tour witch allows you to walk on the top of the walls of the castle. Unfortunately the guides are speaking only Italian so probably if you can't understand Italian you'll not be able to understand all the history and the evolution of the castle.
Svetlozar O — Google review
Very beauriful. Such a nice spot.. you just feel amazed when you enter the castle and you sit at the very nice bar that is inside the wall.. I just wish in england we were able to use our castle the same way. Here in italy it's just an other part of the city where to hang out with friends. Italians really know how to enjoy life.

Nestled along the picturesque Via Emilia, Quel Castello di Diegaro is a charming venue that beautifully marries modern comfort with historical elegance. This upscale establishment features stylish rooms and offers a delightful free breakfast in its inviting restaurant, which boasts garden dining. Renowned for its exceptional Italian cuisine and artisanal pizzas, it has become a beloved spot in Cesena's culinary scene. Guests rave about the extraordinary pasta dishes and standout main courses like the roasted piglet with wine sauce.
We had dinner here on a Monday and the place was busy but a beautiful atmosphere. I would advise booking in advance. The service was excellent and staff very attentive. We opted for the chefs selection 4 courses whereby you don't know what you are ordering which I must say was excellent. The quality was outstanding and presentation of dishes amazing. The views over the town of Cesena were beautiful. 💕

Restaurant : I came here with my family for lunch, expecting based on the reviews something unique with amazing food. Honestly, I have never eaten worse meat in my life. The dessert was far too sweet, as if it had been store-bought. For a total of €110 (receipt attached), including three glasses of champagne, I found the price excessive given the quality of the food. €7 for a glass of prosecco is acceptable, but the food was simply terrible. To be honest, I’m not a chef, yet I can cook better myself. The portions were small which would have been fine if at least the food had been tasty, but it wasn’t. The only positive aspect was the wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant, but unfortunately, the food was awful. Sorry.

Great service and excellent food, as always. Tonight we tried a selection of delicious cheeses from different places in Italy, followed by a “Tagliata” of premium fillet steak cooked to perfection. Great selection of wines at a reasonable price.

We had our wedding celebration in this restaurant. It was an incredibly nice experience, and everything went perfectly. It was a small celebration with only close friends and family, and the planning took us only two days, by exchanging only a couple of emails with the owner. Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating. The food was extraordinary! Some of the best pasta we've had in Italy, and the main dish (roasted crunchy piglet with wine sauce) was exquisite. For the service that we got, the price was more than reasonable. This place is forever among our favorites in Italy! Beautiful restaurant with beautiful people.

America Graffiti in Cesena is a vibrant dining spot that captures the essence of American burger culture right in Italy. The restaurant boasts a lively atmosphere adorned with nostalgic decor, making it an inviting place for both locals and visitors. Guests can enjoy a variety of delicious burgers alongside gluten-free options, which are particularly appreciated by families with dietary restrictions. While the food receives praise for its quality and flavor, some diners have noted that service could be improved to ensure drinks are refilled promptly.
Management has been very attentive. I’ve dined there many times while directing films in Italy. My actor friends enjoyed the nostalgic atmosphere and burgers. Not every America Graffiti franchise restaurant has the same great menu as this location! I particularly enjoy their American breakfast with loads of tasty bacon!

I'm from America, and this is in Italy. Cool atmosphere with the deco, burgers were okay. Good for Italy. Staff could be more attentive with servicing table. Everyone's glasses were empty over the meal with no refills offered. Got my own. 7/23/25-Thank you for reaching out with your feedback. I will definitely be back as I am there every year for a work trip. I appreciate you taking the feedback positively. You have a fine restaurant with minimal items to pick on. Ristorante Ca' ad Pancot

Restaurant
Ristorante Ca' ad Pancot is a hidden gem located just outside of Cesena, nestled in a charming old farmhouse that has been transformed into cozy dining spaces. While it may be slightly off the beaten path and not easily accessible from the city center, this delightful restaurant is well worth the journey—especially if you have a local's recommendation to guide you there. Upon arrival, guests are greeted warmly and seated promptly, even if there's a brief wait.
Great food, great location, great quality and fair prices. Hardly you can get more value out of your money. This is the food republic of Emilia Romagna 🥩🍝👨‍🍳

This is a wonderful place, though it can be a bit difficult to navigate and is somewhat far from the city center, so it’s best to get there with a recommendation from someone. Once we arrived, we were welcomed after a 10-minute wait (despite having a reservation) and promptly seated at a table where the menus were already provided. The menu offers a great selection of typical dishes, and I highly recommend starting with an antipasti to share, such as a few crostini like we did. For the main course, we shared a generous portion of pasta, followed by the coniglio in porchetta, which was incredibly tasty and exceeded our expectations. Instead of bread, they serve piadine at the table, but we had to ask three times for a basket since the restaurant was a bit busy. The waitress was nice, and the ambiance was great, making it a good spot for families and pets alike. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to experience the culinary delights of Romagna.

Outside of Cesena this great restaurant can be found. It is situated in an old farmhouse where stables and sheds have made room for cosy diningrooms. Excellent when you are with a group. Make a reservation! Local dishes, fresh pastas, choice of grappa's and amaro's to top off your dinner. Large portions so sharing would avoid throwing away excellent leftovers.

CASAMADIE - Piazza del Popolo

Brunch restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Cesena, CASAMADIE - Piazza del Popolo is a charming spot that invites you to indulge in delightful culinary experiences. Formerly known as "Pappa Reale," this cozy eatery focuses on bringing diverse flavors from Northern Europe, Australia, and America right to your plate. With an impressive array of vegan, vegetarian, omnivorous, and gluten-free options available, there's something for everyone.
The bakery is located in the very center of this small town. There is a wide variety of food, including options for vegetarians. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas, which is a big plus in case it’s raining outside. The price of breakfast per meal ranges from 1 to 10 euros. Best regards.
Viktor V — Google review
We visited this place today and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We were seated at a bar table with the promise of being moved to a regular table as soon as one became available. However, when tables did become available, they were given to other guests, and we were completely ignored by the waiter. We didn’t even get eye contact, which felt disrespectful. Additionally, we were not given water, even though we saw others being served. It was unclear whether water needed to be ordered or if it was automatically provided with the meal. The food took about 40 minutes to arrive, which we would have appreciated knowing in advance, especially since the bar chairs were extremely uncomfortable with no back support. When the food finally arrived, it was bland, lacked seasoning, and felt boring. The prices were far too high for the quality offered, and it did not meet our expectations at all. The only positive aspect was the drinks. The lemonade and caramel latte were actually good and perhaps worth trying, but that’s not enough to make up for the rest of the experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Forli Airport

Airport
Forli Airport is the preferred choice for travelers visiting the city, known for its adherence to international standards and excellent maintenance. Despite its small size, it is well-liked by visitors due to its efficient management and facilities.
Diverted to Forli by Ryanair due to national strike. Very efficient passport control and baggage delivery despite being busier than usual. Could do with better transport links but overall good experience.

The airport is in the middle of nowhere. Don't count on being able to get a taxi from the airport or when returning to the airport. Forlì is a very small town. The airport offers absolutely nothing. Once you have passed through security, you cannot even buy water. There is not even a duty-free shop!!!! The airport is between houses. Get out and manage on your own. Tragedy. Check-in itself without any major excesses. One gentleman at the security check and when the second lady came she started shouting at people like a school teacher at children. Embarrassing. I do not recommend Forlì airport. It is just a garage in the middle of a housing estate. There is nothing there. It is impossible to leave or return to it. There are no taxi. Nothing.

Low mark due to the fact the airport is very poorly connected. If your flight leaves at 7 am on Sunday, there is no local transport in Forli to take you from the train station and you are left to walk 60 min to the airport...one taxi in front of the train station on Sunday morning, but a full plane is booked.

Flight was delayed without any informations, we were waiting until someone finally showed up to say that to the passengers. Awful airport, awful organisation, never again.
Igor D — Google review
Too small, there are no proper flights and not any duty-free shop

Super small , they were pretty fast and not crowded ,i will consider using forli airport for my next trip as well

No taxis, no buses... if you have a flight early morning or late night - disaster to get to and get out of

Federico Fellini International Airport

International airport
Airport
Federico Fellini International Airport, also known as Aeroporto internazionale Federico Fellini, RMI, is situated in Miramar, just 8 kilometers from the heart of Rimini and only 16 kilometers from San Marino. It serves as the main airport for Rimini and offers convenient access to San Marino. The airport provides a sense of safety and security with its top-notch security measures, ensuring a comfortable travel experience.
small but functional airport, everything is done quickly and without waiting, after check-in it is possible to buy snacks and gifts and wait on a pleasant outdoor terrace. The airport is well marked, clear. Transport from the airport to the center - taxi quoted us a price of around 50 euros - very expensive, regular bus around 1.5 euros, but it goes slowly because it stops at every stop. If you only have a small luggage, I recommend using the Lime service and get to the center by bike, there are quality bike paths around the city.

A really small-seise airport. All services are at their bare minimum. Toilets are not in good conditions too. I did not check ir there was wifi.

This little airport is like flying through a private airport. It has to be the less stressful airport i have ever used. The staff - border police security and surprisingly airline staff - are very relaxed and jolly. Pick up and drop is so easy! Unfortunately flying from Stanstead is seasonal!

Dirty and disgusting. Feels like a small airport deep in the Russian federation. In the 70s. Nothing to do, almost nothing to buy. Absolutely disgusting toilet/restroom area.

There's a single bar once you pass the control. I paid 14 euros , 7 euros for a dry panini and 7 EUROS for a beer. What a scam not even in Switzerland you'd pay so much, better buy something before the airport.

A sweet little airport with pretty much all you need. Quite reasonable for airport prices (3 cappuccinos + 1 bottle of water for 11 Euros… breakfast mix OJ + croissant + coffee for 9 Euros). Only downsides: no toilet paper in women’s toilets and lock on door to disabled toilet didn’t work. You don’t need to be here any earlier than 2 hours before your flight as even during tourist season there is only 1 flight per hour. The viewing deck was lovely.

The airport is difficult to reach on foot or by bicycle. There are no pedestrian crossings, no sidewalks in the city where there are many bicycle paths. Incomprehensible. Look for the path under the GSM tower. There is a rare bus service. Otherwise, the airport and the staff are good.
