Shopping mall
Shopping
Located in the heart of Sliema, Malta, The Point Shopping Mall is a modern and stylish destination that offers a diverse range of shopping, dining, and entertainment options for visitors of all ages. This contemporary mall features an array of global retail brands, a supermarket, casual restaurants with Wi-Fi access. Additionally, it provides fantastic spa services and hosts exciting events such as carnival activities and holiday functions.
Everything you could wany, and probably more. Lots of high end stores, as well as more realistic ones. Stunning setting, loved the way they have used the original facade of the building, to keep the history. Nice square outside with cafes amd restaurants.
Melanie H — Google review
Decent size mall. Great foot traffic for a Sunday. Name brands are available. Some tenant space empty. Heavily invested on LED curve screen panel with graphic signage minus advertisement. Palm tree column design. PU flooring on escalators landing and around glass railings. Malta vibes color ceramic floor tiles. Generous parking space. Wide playground with water fountain. 4 level shopping with different color coding columns like orange, sea breeze and tangerine color. No cinema. EuroSpar complete and has varieties
Weaning P — Google review
Excellent shopping Mall. lots of trendy shops and plenty of food outlets where you can enjoy time with friends. very clean and modern .parking is excellent. waiting at ticket machines can be a problem. Tigne square at level 0 is very nice to enjoy a drink . A must go tonplace for shopaholics
Pancake P — Google review
A convenient and modern shopping centre with four levels and over 50 shops, ranging from fashion and sportswear to household goods and books. It also has cafés, restaurants and a supermarket, all within a spacious 15,000 m² setup. With around 1,000 underground parking spaces and a beautiful waterfront location, it’s easy to access and scenic. Clean, accessible, and family-friendly. That said, it can get quite crowded, and facilities may be harder to find during peak hours. It’s a reliable shopping choice on the island, but not a standout one.
Abdulkarim A — Google review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The hidden gem that goes to bed before you do! 😴 The Point is that rare breed of shopping centre that's managed to crack the code: big enough to matter, quiet enough to actually enjoy. Walking through here feels like discovering a secret that everyone forgot to tell you about 🤫 The space is genuinely impressive - proper corridors, decent lighting, and thankfully none of that claustrophobic maze nonsense you get elsewhere. Staff are sound, shops are well-maintained, and there's actually room to breathe without getting trampled by pram-wielding families. The atmosphere hits that sweet spot between bustling and peaceful 🛍️ But here's the catch (there's always one, isn't there?) - they pack up shop at 19:30! That's earlier than my nan's bedtime 😂 So if you're one of those after-work shopping warriors, you'll need to adjust your battle plan accordingly. Top tip: Hit this place weekend mornings or early evenings for the full zen shopping experience. Perfect for when you want retail therapy without the actual therapy bills 💸 Honestly brilliant if you can work around their early bird schedule!
Tom D — Google review
The Point is Malta’s main mall but quite small with limited shops. It lacks variety and many popular brands are gone. Prices are high for what’s offered. It used to be better, but now it feels more like a basic shopping spot than a real retail destination
Hani H — Google review
Tigne Point Mall (The Point) in Sliema is a modern, and high-energy destination for shopping and leisure. There is an excellent mix of brands, ranging from popular international fashion stores like Kiabi, Bershka, and Stradivarius to luxury accessories and lifestyle outlets Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Harmont&Blaine, AX Armani Exchange, Swarovski, Guess, and Marks & Spencer Food. Also, there are numerous comfortable cafe and dining spaces scattered across the levels, and it is a great spot to relax.
Stoјan N — Google review
Wonderful mall, nice shops and food places, definitely recommended for families and just to spend some time while shopping.

A great place to walk or jog and enjoy the stunning scenery. Wonderful views of Valletta and beyond. Many cruises to the islands of Gozo and Comino as well as the 3 cities and the large port depart from here. There is regular bus service as well as nearby stops. Also lots of benches to rest and lots of cafes.
Loukas K — Google review
Great place to hang around and stay. Boat transport is nearby to places like Gozo, the Blue Lagoon, and Valletta. There is a regular bus to and from the airport as well. There are nice restaurants nearby as well.

Amazing Place 😎 Beautiful waterfront! The Sliema Promenade is perfect for a leisurely walk, jog, or bike ride. Stunning views of Valletta and the harbor, plenty of cafes and restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere. Great spot to watch the sunset or take a boat trip."

A nice and clean place. Quite peaceful, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shops. It’s very safe, without undocumented individuals posing as doctors or engineers like in Western Europe.
Dobrica I — Google review
Very nice and long promenade along the bay. The view on Manoel island and Valletta is spectacular. Then the boats of all sizes waving on the blue water makes it even more special. There are also numerous benches located, facing the sea so a tired tourist can stop there and get rest while admiring the view and enjoying the warm rays of sun. Ideal for nice and long walk.
Katka ( — Google review
Beautiful Sliema a resort town not far from St. Julians, on the east coast of this Mediterranean island. The waterfront features a long promenade and the 18th-century Fort Tigné in the south. To the north, St. Julian’s Tower is a 17th-century watchtower and battery. The baroque-inspired Stella Maris Church dates from the 1850s. The sandstone, salt rock pools leading out to the sea 🌊 Roman baths also carved into the sea rock.
Jennie M — Google review
This is a long public promenade. During tourist season there are many bars, cafes & restaurants open for varying hours. If you enjoy a stroll, people watching, sitting looking at the view with a drink etc, this is one of those places.

Scenic spot
Tigné Point, located in Sliema, offers a picturesque escape from city life with its rocky shore and clear waters. Visitors can enjoy jumping into the sea from high cliffs while taking in stunning views of the Valletta skyline. However, some have noted that the area can be dirty due to litter. Absolutely in love with this place!!! Windy or sunny, day/ night or sunset it’s so beautiful! You can walk on the yellow rocks and touch the sea! The view of the city was amazing!

Perfect spot to see the sun rise!! Need to climb a little bit but totally worth it. Climb till the end. Just make sure you turn on the torch. There is no light.
Adrianne L — Google review
A very beautiful spot with a view of Valletta and the sea, especially at sunset. You can take great photos on the shore — the evening light is magical. It’s a peaceful and romantic place to enjoy the view. There’s no beach or direct access to the sea though — you’re standing on the rocks.
Юліана П — Google review
Come here to enjoy a unique panoramic view of Valletta. Local teenagers come here to swim, sunbathe, and listen to music. Best things to do in Sliema.
Marin L — Google review
One of the best place in malta i have walked around. The wind and sunset and sunrise are incredible, been to this stop every year walk. Very beautiful view for Valletta and looking across the bay.

Manoel Island

Mentioned on
+6 other lists
Island
Manoel Island, located in the middle of Marsamxett Harbour near Malta's capital city Valletta, is a historical gem with a fort dating back to the 16th century. The island offers stunning views and is connected to Sliema by a causeway. Despite its slightly derelict feel, it boasts beautiful scenery and is popular for weddings and events. Visitors can explore the fort while restoration work takes place.
I really like this island. So nice, so peaceful, tranquil. One of the few places in Malta not as yet being developed. I really hope it never is. It should be declared a national park
Peter S — Google review
Manolo Island is a very beautiful place especially for photoshoot, people who are looking for a quieter place, and not be disturbed by crowds, its the best place, We were photographed by Anna Izmaylova a wonderful photographer based in Malta with very fair prices and made us feel at ease during the photoshoot
Elsa H — Google review
Manoel Island lies between Sliema and Valletta, connected to the former by a causeway along which you can walk. The island has a slightly derelict feel, with many signs warning that you must obey the security guards and that you must not stray from the path. Visiting feels transgressive. Naughty. Anyway, after walking along the causeway you come to the edge of a large fort, built by the Knights of St John – this is currently being restored so you cannot enter. You can, on the other hand, walk all the way around the outside – this includes right up to the ornate entry door. The fort itself is an impressive, chunky thing and the island offers excellent views of Valletta and the citadel there. I think if we’re open, this would be a five star place to visit. The island seems to be popular with those looking for a secluded spot to sunbathe, to drink and to wander. There are several drinks machines on site so you can buy water.
Rich D — Google review
Really enjoyed exploring the island and seeing lizards.
Sharon A — Google review
It's beautiful inside, unfortunately, the visit inside is not always available and only happens on specified dates. Outside it’s good for swimming, but don’t have structure like bar and shade to stay.
Paula E — Google review
When you are coming at Manoel Island , please bring some wet cat food as there are many stray cats there 🙏 they can be petted and they are friendly ❤️
Anna K — Google review
A small island where on one side you can see Sliema and on the other side Valetta. It is quite abandoned, in fact there are signs everywhere stating that there is a risk of some old construction parts falling down. Unfortunately it is not well maintained. Most of the buildings are not used anymore and they are not in good shape. Though still it is nice to take a walk on the island. You can either take the proper path or jump from one stone to the other one on the shore and go back to the fond memories of your childhood 😊
Özge E — Google review
Great vantage point of Sliema, you can drive to a certain point, and then you have to walk. Some areas are secured and restricted and not possible to continue, but there are still open walkways and pathways around. Great for a casual stroll!!!

Nice INSTA beach 🏝️ For better photos go after midday. We were in the morning.
Jolita T — Google review
Very nice place to swim when off tourist season, the water was clear and the beach had lifeguards!
Jangle — Google review
One of the first beautiful places which I visited in Malta. Peaceful and alive at the same time. I would recommend to take a whole day out there
Evren G — Google review
The beach needs a bit of a cleaning, but the place is quite charming otherwise. The area is also nice for a swim, but busy during weekends. Too bad for the cranes in the background and the chaotic buildings around, but hey, this is Malta (sic!)
Carolina M — Google review
Beautiful place, good to go for evening walk and amazing restaurant with lot of food and beverage options. Great place to enjoy sunset.
Selvin N — Google review
It's a beautiful place, especially at night when the church is shining. But, I don't recommend swimming here, usually it's dirty there, better to walk a bit and swim in front of Independence Garden.
Elvis A — Google review
Very scenic place, especially in the evening, beach is quite small, but nice, considering it's the only sandy beach in the immediate area.
Victor S — Google review
balluta bay with nice views to St. Julians and Sliema. in front of Balluta square a nice traditional Maltese kiosk with cold drinks and snacks. Prices are good...lot of Maltese people sitting in the evening there. Nice atmosphere

Restaurant
The Exiles Beach Club, also known as "Shack" by locals, is a trendy beach bar popular among both locals and expats. It offers a laid-back atmosphere where you can enjoy cold drinks while watching the sunset. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, live music acts draw in crowds. The beach itself is a sandy haven perfect for sunbathing, beach games, and swimming in the clear Mediterranean waters.
Lovely place directly by the sea. Recommended!
Orsolya K — Google review
The place is really enjoyable, nice view from the beach and music. The burger was not the best I’ve had in my life but it was still good and interesting, with beef Pattie, Brie cheese and mushrooms. The fries were amazing! 17 eur for the plate on the picture.
Caroline L — Google review
Amazing food! Had the risotto and bruschetta and both dishes were great. Also draft cisk and they even had coffee with soymilk 10/10 would recommend
Viktoria Z — Google review
For 12€ you get a sunbed and a parasol. You can also use the showers and toilets. Different accesses into the clear water. Lots of locals, very relaxed atmosphere.
Danae V — Google review
Nice beach restaurant. Good pizza of the house especially with cold beer.
Luka Č — Google review
It's OK. A little bit run down, could be so much better. Sun loungers look a bit old and tatty. They don't provide towels so bring your own. The water is beautiful and clear but the beach club it's self is a bit messy. No table service and toilets are a bit grim.
Stacey W — Google review
I really wanted a nice evening by the sea, but The Exiles only spoiled the mood. The service is extremely slow, the waiter forgot half of the order. The drinks were brought warm, and the food was very mediocre. The prices are like in a top restaurant. The only thing that saves the situation is the sea view, but for that kind of money it is better to just sit with a coffee on a bench and enjoy the sunset without disappointment.
Alexandra R — Google review
Very nice pappardelle with pulled pork. Linguine with mussels and octopus not as much. Octopus was bouncy in texture

I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy movement and socializing in the fresh air!

It is a small park with a children's playground and a section that houses street cats. A lot of people come down to pet the cats and they look like they are well fed and cared for. Well worth a visit.
Ramdas P — Google review
Very nice and green park inhabitated with many cats. Restaurants, bars, and public bathrooms nearby. Good access to sea.
Alena — Google review
A nice cool park to go with the kid, in the autumn you get amazing sunsets from this place ! Some amazing restaurants close by and I totally recommend the gelateria across the street.
Ababei A — Google review
The best place for cats lovers, spiritual in front of the sea, nice place to have a relaxing moment with some cats, I tryed to find a figure, magnetic or another type of gift of the cat statue but was impossible. Maybe in the future we can buy it.
Nuria F — Google review
Very sweet place. Toilets are REALLY clean and good. I was surprised by the cats and birds together. There were also rusters and chicks. I recommend coming here, cats are nice.
Hannah P — Google review
Fantastic experience seeing all the cute cats and chickens! Nearby water to have a good swim when the waves aren't too high. Also there are bathrooms which are really clean too. I would recommend bringing some tuna or cat food for the best experience!

Ta' Kris Restaurant

Maltese restaurant
Ta' Kris is a traditional restaurant located in a charming old bakery, featuring dark wood and patterned tiles that create a warm and rustic atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of regional dishes, including hearty options like rabbit stew, bragioli (beef olives), and lampuki pie (fish pie). Run by chef proprietor Chris, the restaurant retains the traditional colorful tile-work from the old bakery, adding to its authentic decor.
The restaurant is located in a charming spot with very friendly staff. The portions are huge the salad starter was really generous and delicious. Everything was tasty! The Maltese Spritzer is one of the best drinks I’ve had, and the seafood was perfectly cooked.
Maja K — Google review
This restaurant is one of the few places around offering local dishes, so it was a real shame that one of their main specialties was sold out for the night. The rest of the food was good — nothing particularly impressive, but definitely tasty and enjoyable. The staff were attentive and polite, which made the experience smoother and pleasant. However, the terrace lacks a sense of privacy. Since many people pass by, it doesn’t feel as relaxed or intimate as it could be. Overall, a decent spot with tasty food and good service, but it could really shine if they ensured their signature local dishes were always available and improved the terrace experience.
Raya P — Google review
A very popular place and it is clear why! The food tasted delicious and homemade, so this would be the perfect spot to try out authentic Maltese food. The service was however quite slow and a bit messy, we were always approached by someone new and sometimes it took quite a while to be noticed when you needed help. It's recommended to reserve a table but outside seems best, inside got pretty loud.
Darlene — Google review
This is one of the few good Maltese restaurants here in Sliema. The service is very good and fast. I enjoyed how attentive they were. You get a tasty appetizer with bread. The food is fine. I had the octopus as a starter and it was delicious! The pasta with rabbit was fine but nothing out of this world. The taste of the rabbit is not that present. So arriving here with high expectatives I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t as mind blowing as I expected. Would give it a second chance though!
Nikita N — Google review
Was told we had to come here for Maltese food. Silema is very congested. We had the brajoli, the rabbit spaghetti and the Maltese salad. The brajoli is braised brisket, stuffed with mincemeat. Very good flavor! The spaghetti was bland and not very good. The salad was probably the best part of the meal. If you are staying in Silema, stop on by, but don’t make a special trip for the food.
Scott — Google review
This was recommended to us by the receptionist at our hotel and it didn’t disappoint. We turned up at the restaurant with no reservation but were given a table straight away. Once we’d ordered they brought out bread and crackers with some Bigilla as a dip. The bread was still warm and the Bigilla really garlicky and tasty. With a bit of research we’d learnt that portions in Maltese restaurants are generous so we just ordered mains. We both ordered the rabbit as this was our first meal in Malta and we wanted to try the national dish. It was a very generous, hearty dish full of flavour and the slow cooking meant the meat was tender and fell off the bone. Although we’d got a table straight away, the restaurant was busy and you could see the staff was doing its best to keep up. That said, they all remained friendly throughout.
BMara — Google review
Apparently this is the only authentic Maltese restaurant in Sliema. The snails lacked a bit of taste, the steak were the worst cut and full of tendons and hard to eat. If you seat outside the noise of tge street will ve very loud.
MMelom — Google review
The first meal in Malta. we had a really long day that we couldn’t wait for this meal. 2 of us ordered 3 main courses. The taste is ok. But octopus stew is not as chewy as I expected. Quite different from what I tried in Spain. I am not sure is this the maltese taste? And we sit outdoor which is a bit noisy cause it close to the street.

Excellent service from Monica who provided us with just the right amount of attentiveness. Thank you :) The food was INCREDIBLE - so tasty and perfectly cooked. The flavours were delicious. We had the set meal and there was so much choice and probably way too much for just two to eat! Highly recommend a visit…or two! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re into Asian fusion food. Great setting on the Ninth floor of the AX Palace Hotel, Sliema, with superb views over the bay and towards Valletta. Extensive Asian menu with Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese inspired cuisine. The food was beautifully presented and flavoursome. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive, without being too intrusive. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re staying in town.

My friends and I visited Temptasian Restaurant last week, and it was such a wonderful experience! The place has a very cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view overlooking the city, which made our evening extra special. The food was delicious and well-prepared, and we enjoyed every dish we ordered. We were actually celebrating my friend’s birthday, and the staff went the extra mile by preparing a small cake and even singing a birthday song for her. It was such a thoughtful gesture that really made the night unforgettable. The staff were all very helpful, friendly, and approachable, which added to the warm and welcoming vibe of the restaurant. Overall, it was an amazing night filled with great food, a lovely ambiance, and excellent service. I would definitely recommend Temptasian Restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy good food and a memorable dining experience! ❤️

If I could give 10 stars to Service I would! The best service! Our waitress Julie went above and beyond to give us a great evening. We had an amazing view over Malta during sunset hour, accompanied with great food! The atmosphere even though busy was very comfortable and didn't feel crowded, great job! We will definitely be back! Would recommend booking your table if you want to avoid disspointment.

We had a great experience at this restaurant as guests of the AX Victorian Hotel. We made our reservation at the hotel's reception. The whole experience was really good, from the very welcoming, friendly and attentive staff to the amazing food options. We tried 4 different dishes, and they all were great but our favorite was the sweet and sour pork which was served inside a pinapple.
Nikolas P — Google review
Absolutely fantastic place, very lovely atmosphere. Staff were so kind and welcoming, helped us with any questions we had. Knowledgable on halal options too, felt comfortable! Would definitely go again, very classy. Great views too inside and outside. Went for the unlimited eat option 'wok & roll' on wednesday however since the portions are generous, we couldn't eat more than what we had. Food was delicious.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, our experience was truly wonderful. As my wife is expecting, the lady who showed us to our table promptly provided cushions for her back. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, consistently checking on us, especially my wife. The food was exceptionally delicious. To conclude the evening, a majority of the staff came and sang "Happy Birthday" to my wife. I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the staff. We certainly plan to return and will gladly share our positive experience with others.

I went here with my sisters for my 28th birthday dinner and, honestly, it was FANTASTIC! The food was great and arrived in such a speedy manner, the atmosphere was perfect for the evening dinner complete with incredible views of Malta at night. And, to top it off, the service was INCREDIBLE! All of the staff were so professional and kind, in particular I want to mention Julie: she was so attentive throughout the night and really made our experience special! Thank you to everyone at TemptAsian for having us and we will definitely be back soon! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Gululu | Authentic Maltese Restaurant

Maltese restaurant
Gululu Restaurant @ Spinola Bay, St. Julians offers a picturesque dining experience overlooking the charming Spinola Bay. This casual diner is renowned for its authentic Maltese cuisine, featuring local favorites such as a variety of dips, spaghetti rabbit, pan-seared baby calamari, and braised rabbit.
I had the Maltese platter with Bigilla, kappunata, Maltese pork sausage, local sheep cheeselet (ġbejna), and Maltese bread with tomato paste. Then for my main I had the Fenkata Imtektek (braised rabbit and rabbit is super traditional Maltese food), I paired it with a glass of Maltese Pinot Grigio. They loved chatting with me so much and I was so excited to learn about the food they offered me a free digestive and I also ordered a dessert so I asked them to surprise me and I had the Leila Carob liquor which was kinda like Jaeger but a lot smoother. For the dessert I had the Sinizza which is like a Swiss roll pastry filled with ricotta cheese. 10/10 meal, the staff was great. Definitely must eat when we come back to Malta!

The rabbit tasting manu was good, we got to try a lot of traditional dishes. The portions were huge! Great service from Amneish.

Seafront spot with a lively vibe and great views—perfect for a relaxed meal by the water. The fish was the highlight: fresh, nicely cooked, and simply seasoned. Prices, though, are on the higher side for what you get. Sides were uneven: potatoes came overly salty, and the salad didn’t feel especially fresh. Service was brisk but a bit scattered—the staff seemed to be constantly rushing, which kept things moving but didn’t leave much room for warmth. Dessert options are limited, so don’t come with a sweet tooth. Bottom line: come for the seaside atmosphere and a well-cooked fish dish, but temper expectations on sides, sweets, and value. Conveniently located right in St. Julian’s along the water.

We enjoyed a lovingly prepared tasting set menu here on the first day of our holiday. We wanted to eat authentic Maltese cuisine, and that's exactly what Gululu serves. We went for the tasting menu (attached), which at €32.50 per person, is incredible value for money. Unlike the tasting menus one is accustomed to in other European countries, where the portion sizes tend to be tiny; the portions are very generous. So much so, that we needed to take a break between the primi and secondi courses. So goon an empty stomach if you go for this menu. The food was excellent and fresh. The service and drinks recommation was very attentive. A great introduction to Maltese charm and excellence. Fabulous waterside Spinola Bay seating.

The restaurant itself looks nice, and I want to highlight that the older gentleman who welcomed us was genuinely friendly and warm. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t match other staff kindness, and that’s the reason for my 1-star review. When we sat down, I was still taking a quick look at the menu. I mentioned “rabbit” because I wanted the pasta with rabbit, but before I could even finish my sentence, the waiter completed it for me. I naïvely assumed he was “reading my mind” and referring to the pasta dish. Instead, what arrived at the table was only a plate of rabbit meat — something I hadn’t noticed on the menu and wasn’t what I intended to order. Once I realised the miscommunication, I politely asked for the pasta I actually wanted. The portion of meat was too big for me to finish, and since it wasn’t what I meant to order anyway, it felt reasonable to request the correction. However, the waiter’s attitude was unnecessarily unpleasant when he mentioned “well then, the pasta will take a long time”. His tone carried irritation and irony, as if I was being an inconvenience, even though this was clearly just a misunderstanding. A similar attitude came from another staff member when we asked to move tables. The kind older man said it was fine and that they would set it up for us, so we helped by moving our wine glasses. The lady then sharply told us, “you have to have it out,” in a tone that felt rude and uncalled for. I don’t know if the staff were simply tired or stressed, but their attitude completely ruined what could have been a nice evening. My friend’s dish also wasn’t good, but for me the main issue wasn’t the food — it was the disrespectful and unwelcoming later service. Good customer service is essential, especially in a traditional place with such a lovely concept and atmosphere. Sadly, that was exactly what was missing during our visit, and that’s why I’m leaving this review.

We took the typical Maltese degustation menu, we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is very kind. Maybe it was better to have a bigger table when 4 people books.

We would like to eat teaditional Malta food. The place was clean, but we got table just inside because the terrace was full. The soup and the foods were tasty and delicious. Tables are small for four people. Prices (in my opinoin) are high, serving and everybody was nice.

We tried breakfast menu! It was delicious, the place located in a cute corner with sea view. When the plates comes, you feel that the place is clean and delicious which is the most important thing. Recommended for breakfasts ✌️

Crudo is a serious bet for breakfast or more. We went twice and stayed outside looking at the sea. Perfect, simple bruschetta and omelette sandwiches.

Service and espresso are great, but scrambled eggs didn’t taste much. Avocado was served still green, not ripe. Unfortunately not a so good experience for me.

Lovely Breakfast at Crudo “We had a wonderful breakfast. The staff were very friendly, the outdoor seating was cozy, and it was great to enjoy our meal among the locals.”

Lovely spot conveniently located, with very kind and charming staff, and an attentive owner. Food was fast (though a little too much mayonnaise in my mackerel toast), my brother enjoyed his salmon toast, and coffee was good— I had a coconut milk macchiato which was so fatty and foamy. Smoothie was fresh and delicious. Extremely well priced, especially for the location and speed.

If i could give them more than 5 stars, i would. The only downside to this place is that they close at 3 pm, because i could eat here at any hour of the day.

Excellent menu and coffee! Loved it so much we came back here 3 times. The scrambled eggs are cooked perfectly, focaccia is delicious, and the salads and ingredients are all very fresh! The lemon zest on the eggs and salad are so tasty, we’ll try to copy that at home :) the staff is very friendly, too. Sitting outside or inside is both very cozy. Would recommend 10/10!

Inside and outside seating, friendly staff, and a refreshingly different menu in this charming, easy-to-miss little place. Service was a little slow, but it impacted the experience very little. Food is delicious with large portions and reasonable prices.

What a great place! Feels a bit hidden being at the top of the strip of restaurants but it’s so worth it, some of the best food we had in Malta! Really generous sharing plates and the quality of the food was top notch!

We had a great experience last night. Fantastic food, service and drinks. The crispy pork, tempura mushrooms and Tom Yum amongst our favourites. All the staff who we spoke to were the best. Great cocktail list and we felt a cut above the rest of the meals we have had on our holiday. If Asian Fusion is your thing get yourself along.

This family-run restaurant offers an intimate and professionally managed dining experience with a wide selection of traditional Maltese and Mediterranean dishes. The generous portions ensure great value for money, making every visit memorable.
Amazing food! First we’ve had a very tasty Aljotta soup as a starter (but still it was quite big). As a main course we’ve had a superb rabbit and pasta Merill, which was the best thing I’ve had on Malta!!! If you like slighlty hot pastas, this one’s for you! We also had a very good local dry, fruity white wine. This place is small, so better make a reservation. You also need to wait a bit for your order, but this means it’s freshly madę and it’s worth it! Highly recommend!

Had amazing experience in there. It was my first evening in Malta and the dinner there was a good choice to taste authentic flavours. Rabbit in stew had a depth and rich flavour, and sea bass was great too. The fish soup and fried sheep cheese were also very tasty. Good vibe and attentive staffs. Strongly recommend this place.

Top quality delicious food!!! Octopus and calamari stew was outstanding!!! Kind and helpful staff. Fast service. Located in a central area. The place is small so we recommend to make a reservation. Totally recommend if you want to try Maltese finest cuisine!
Marcos V — Google review
I was recommended this place by someone I’d met at my hotel. I went right as it opened one night, but reservations are absolutely needed beforehand. It’s such a small place (but absolutely adorable!) I went at 6:00 and the only time they had available was 8:45 that evening (for one person). Ended up making a reservation the next night for 6:30. By the time I’d left, the place was full of people and all I heard around me was how delicious everything was. I tried the rabbit with veggies (couldn’t decide between this and the stew). To be honest, I wasn’t a big fan of rabbit (it was cooked perfectly, fell right off). The veggies and potatoes however, chefs kiss! SO good! Wish I would have liked the taste of rabbit - but that’s on me, and not the restaurant. Loads of people around me had the rabbit stew and raved about how good it was! The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly… some of the kindest service I’ve experienced in a long while. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Krista P — Google review
I really wanted to try the rabbit stew and this place was recommended by many influencers and reviews. It is recommended to book a table in advance, as the place is very small and fills up very quickly. I think it might be just my taste, but for me this was extremely unflavoured. The steamed veggies and potato were just plain, and for the rabbit I was expecting some thicker sauce, but it was rather thin, like water. Maybe it's usual for a rabbit, but there were more bones than meat, and the the meat was also flavourless. Generally it looked like they cooked the meat in water and then just covered it with this thin sauce -there were no harmony at all. I am sorry for this experience because the servers and the atmosphere was really great.
Viktor L — Google review
The only positive thing we have is the local vibe of a small restaurant in a quiet corner in the heart of one of the busy area Sliema in Malta. Apart from warm welcome from the waitress, everything else is quite under standard and same with many reviews, they should do a lot to improve their service. They are quite small with tables very close next to each other. Some guests can find it very difficult to move in/out their table or just be comfortable in their seats. Despite their size, 2 waitresses seem chaotic with their orders. We are invited to their menu of the day and when I checked what is the special of the mixed grilled meat, she just said it’s special because it’s the dish of the day. It turned out nothing special at all. The meat was too dry. Rabbit is ok, big portion but we are not a big fan. I don’t blame the restaurant though just comment on the popular rabbit dish in Malta may not worth to get. The waiting time is huge, we wait for nearly one hour to get our dish. The side dish is the same for our 2 main dishes, but they served in one bowl without letting us know. When we asked, they replied that it’s already the portion for two, it’s disappointing as they just bring to the next table for 1 person with exactly the same portion. Price is not cheap and you need to make reservation. I think what ruined the experience is their lack of service more than other things.

Easily my favorite restaurant in town. A family run place, with traditional cuisine, in a genuinely beautiful setting, just off the main street, but worth hunting down. They seem regularly fully booked, but we managed to get a table for 2, early on the day after we hoped to go. When we left, there was already a queque of diners, booked in, and just waiting for their tables to come free. That's enthusiasm.

Busy restaurant / bar on the beachfront overlooking the sea. Good range of food options on the menu. Cheese bruschetta was tasty and arrived relatively quickly. Unfortunately, there was at least a thirty minute wait before the main courses arrived. I went for the Asian salad with sesame beef, which sounded good but was disappointing,as the salad had no flavour or dressing. The vegan curry was flavoursome though. Staff were friendly but the evening service was slow.

The first place we visited in Malta, and right away we thought — is it really this bad everywhere? 😂 The waiter forgot to bring the menu, the service was super slow, and the food was bland — come on, we’re in Malta, there should be plenty of salt! 😅 Anyway, I’m glad places like this are rare here. Had the best experience here on a trip to Valletta. The staff were so welcoming & super helpful when deciding what to eat. They brought out the fresh fish to show us what we would be eating which was a nice touch! The restaurant itself is beautiful & full of character. The food was incredible & very reasonably priced! The seafood platter (one of the specials on offer) was the highlight for me, everything was full of flavour & cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area!

The service in Palazzo Preca deserves 6 stars. I was well looked after and advised about portion size etc. I loved the wild mushroom soup. The seafood risotto was salty and when I was asked whether it was ok, gave an honest comment. Straight away the dish was whisked off and replaced later with something less salty. The lemon meringue tart was lovely.

Great job, guys! Delicious food! Cheers!

Delicious food, nice portions at good price. As a starter we tried fried oyster which was crispy and really tasty. Defintely not like a watery snot it tastes like in a raw version. We highly recommend a salad with a sea bass. It sounds light but the salad is a big nutrious one with quinoa, beets, cucumbers, greens and almonds. The fish itself is also full of flavour and goes great with the salad. The surf n' turf burger was tasty, but we would prefer the meat to be a little bit less minced. Nevertheless, it was tasty and nicely medium fried. It goes with French fries so the portion is also a big one. We paid for everything around 25 euros which is a good price for seafood and for Malta as well. It is also good to know that there is only option to take away.

This has been one of the best seafood restaurants I’ve ever known. It is a pick-up and delivery type of restaurant, but is absolutely amazing how delicious their food is! You need to go to their website and place an order. There you can add extras if you want, and also select the pick-up/delivery time. You pay online, too. Our order took about 10 minutes more to be delivered than what it said in the order confirmation, but the food was hot when we received it. I ordered 3 fresh oysters as a starter and octopus with a serving of homemade chips as a side dish. My husband ordered cod and an order of homemade chips. The oysters we super fresh and succulent! I loved their taste! The cod was super delicious and my husband even says that it was probably the best one he’s ever had. The octopus was simply exquisite! So flavorful and so tender! The chips were very good, too. In fact, their portion is so big that my husband and I shared one. The pictures below show how much they serve. All those chips in both plates are from one serving. Prices are very reasonable. We paid about €38 for the order.

I got the octopus burger and the calamari fritti 120gms which was more than enough for one person. The burger came with the fried octopus with tomato relish. I would recommend both the dishes. Wanted to visit this place for the grilled octopus burger and it didn't dissapoint. Not in the least 😋 It is a strictly takeaway place, but that is not a problem as the beach and promenade are less then a 10 minute walk ensuring a great place to enjoy the food. Had a unique culinary experience at Sea Salt restaurant with their octopus burger. The octopus was large, fresh, and had a delightful crunch. Transportation in Sliema

Getting around Sliema can be a little daunting if you’re new here. We can help list some of the major public transportation methods if you don’t want to rely on a car.

Nearby airports

Malta International Airport

International airport
Airport
Airport serving all of the Maltese islands, host to an annual air show, with public buses.
Malta International Airport is a fantastic gateway to the island - not too big, but very modern, clean, and efficient, which makes for a smooth and pleasant travel experience from start to finish. The terminal is nicely laid out and tidy, with a great selection of shops to cover all your travel needs. From food outlets to surprisingly well-stocked bookshops (with a wide range of titles in English), you can easily pick up anything from snacks to a good novel for your flight. The atmosphere is calm and organized. One of the standout features is the free public viewing platform, which offers a great vantage point over the airfield - perfect for aviation enthusiasts or anyone with time to spare. The only drawback is that smoking is allowed on the platform, which is unfortunate and detracts from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Getting to and from the airport is simple, with well-organized parking, reliable bus connections, and taxis that cost approximately €15–€20 to Valletta, depending on time of day and traffic. Security is fast and stress-free thanks to modern scanners that don’t require you to remove electronics or liquids from your luggage - this saves time and adds to the overall efficiency. The service throughout the airport is friendly and helpful, and the quick processing time makes it one of the more pleasant small airports I’ve travelled through. I really like it and will happily use it again. Highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Small island, perfectly sized airport - just mind the taxi mafia! 🇲🇹 Malta International Airport gets it right by keeping things refreshingly simple. No sprawling terminals that require a sherpa guide, no crowds that make you question humanity - just a properly functional airport that knows its place in the world. The fast track security? Absolute game changer. Booked it online and breezed through like a VIP whilst everyone else played the queue lottery. Worth every euro if you value your sanity and departure lounge time. Here's the insider tip that'll save your wallet: ditch the "official" airport taxis unless you fancy paying premium prices for a 20-minute ride. Uber works perfectly fine here and won't leave you wondering if you accidentally chartered a private jet instead. The drivers know exactly where to pick you up too. Facilities are decent enough - clean loos, reasonable food options, and enough seats that you won't be camping on the floor. Staff are friendly and actually seem to enjoy their jobs, which is rarer than you'd think in airports these days. Only losing one star because those official taxi prices are properly taking the mick. Otherwise, solid little airport that does exactly what it says on the tin. ✈️

I really liked the modern design of the airport. In short, the airport is quite small, sparsely populated, and the check-in process is efficient.

Malta International Airport is a breath of fresh air for travelers. It’s small but incredibly efficient, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Security is a breeze, you don’t have to remove your shoes, hats, or electronics, which is such a welcome change compared to most airports. Staff is also nice. The layout is simple and easy to navigate, so you’re never rushed or lost. For its size, it has an impressive selection of shops and cafés, making any wait time actually enjoyable. Access to and from the airport is super easy, with taxis and buses right at the doorstep. Overall, Malta’s airport punches well above its weight, quick, clean, modern, and traveler-friendly. A true gem!

Minimum rating. My journey with Ryanair to Rome turned into an unpleasant experience even before boarding. At the hand luggage check, the staff member behaved in an unfriendly and unprofessional way, trying to find reasons for additional charges instead of helping passengers calmly and respectfully. I also noticed that the luggage size information shown on the screens in the airport did not match the official Ryanair size requirements. I am not completely sure about the measurements of the frame itself, but the information displayed looked incorrect and confusing, which could easily mislead passengers. Another very disappointing moment was the communication. When the staff member started speaking to me rudely, I switched to a language I feel comfortable with. Her reaction was to speak to me in a condescending manner and say “English please!”, as if I were a school child. I am not obligated to speak English — especially in an international airport where many people come from different countries and speak different languages. Because of this situation, I had to open my bag and take out some items instead of preparing for the flight calmly. The whole experience felt stressful, unnecessary and unprofessional. I really hope Ryanair will improve communication standards, provide correct information and ensure that passengers are treated with respect — regardless of language or nationality.
