I absolutely love this place! My kids enjoyed it as well. Lots to do and see. Kid friendly as they have many play areas for them. They have a mini golf course as well next to the food area. Certainly will be coming back!
Jane W — Google review
Absolutely fantastic way to spend an afternoon. We had some family in town and took the kiddos to the park to run around and look at the dinos. Plus, their food options are well priced and tasty. Nothing but great things to say, we'll be getting a season pass.
Devin E — Google review
Nice park with dinosaurs at every corners, they even had a Lego place, it was so nice. The food court had fish and vegetarian option and very affordable. Great place for kid and adult.
Wale K — Google review
It is amazing and so beautiful in spring... I just love it . You can find something to eat and playgrounds for kids .
Nina A — Google review
Amazing place for families! Not so crowded, with shallow water for kids and different play areas. There's also a great lego museum, with fun creations.
Juliana O — Google review
Beautyful place for both adults and children, nice playing grounds for diverse activities like skateboarding, minigolf, experiments. Also, you can buy some snacks here and have a little picnic in the shadow, next to the small river. Relaxing for parents and full of activities for bigger children.
Andreea M — Google review
Thank you so much reading 📖 my beautiful review. Very top 🔝 entrance. 13/09/2022 I visit this Park. Really Such a cool park. Sprawling playground with so many attractions and features for kids of all ages. Mainly 🦕 🦖 Dinosaur covered all. Well maintained in the area. God salute 🫡 for the Team. Definitely better suited for older. There was an awesome cafe with lots of good food options. It would probably take 1 full hour to do and see everything. We were there 2-3 hours and mainly stayed in the same two playground areas plus walked around the majority of the park quickly to look. Bring a picnic blanket and snacks and a stroller if needed enjoy! I am enjoyed. I hope you too 😎
Anton — Google review
My family and I came here for a fall festival. The pumpkin sculptures were fun to see and the dinosaur statues were cool as well. The real highlight was the number of playgrounds. Our kids were in playground heaven! We ordered a few small items off of the menu. They were descent. We will probably go back again next season.

The Fritz-Walter-Stadium is a soccer arena that has a seating capacity of 49,780 and serves as the home ground for Kaiserslautern games and international matches. The stadium offers an impressive behind-the-scenes tour, showcasing its stunning architecture and facilities. Visitors can catch exciting soccer games at reasonable prices in this renowned establishment. It is advisable to dress appropriately for the weather as it is an open-air venue.
Magnificent stadium with a good view of the pitch from most seats. One of the the best atmospheres in the world. Decent food and infrastructure.
Fynn — Google review
I love football and in Germany the football always fun , great stadium great atmosphere great beer and ferzel also The crowd didn't stop singing and cheering from the opening whistle until the end of the game, and in the end there were still long minutes left after the game ended.
Yaron S — Google review
Nice stadium, be prepared for a walk uphill. Also, you’ll need to know which side to enter for your seats. If you enter on wrong side, you can’t go around. You have to go all the way back down the hill and back up on the other side. Once inside, you must go in where your seats are, there’s no way to go across. You’re squeezed in and it’s difficult to get to seats. Also, I understand it’s outdoor, but people smoke at their seats. Unpleasant when the seats are so close to each other and there’s people smoking in front of you and the smoke blows directly back to the people’s faces behind them. Give yourself plenty of time to go through security line and there’s separate lines for men and women. There’s a huge police presence down the hill from the stadium near the train station as well as all the streets going up to stadium.
Girl M — Google review
My favourite german team for over 40 years. I have only visited twice since then but have such fond memories of when i watched Hans-Pieter Briegel play here.
Paul M — Google review
Getting into the stadium is terrible. It feels like you are going into a prison. The turn styles are not big enough. If a bigger person goes in they will have a problem. Make sure you bring g a card to pay you can't pay with cash.
Ted S — Google review
Being an American, going to see this team twice... the dedication of the fans, the ambiance the energy... rivals American football. Best time here and the people are fantastic and fun! Stadium is clean and very nice.
Marc S — Google review
Man what a place. Got the behind the scenes tour. It’s an amazing stadium. Can’t wait to catch a game. Hope to go soon. Prices don’t seem bad and it’s an plopped stadium so dress for the weather.
KC M — Google review
Beautiful stadium and the workers speak amazing English! The game was great and routy and everything I could have wanted to be at for my first European football game. Everyone was helpful from security in to security out.

Established in the 1870s by Palatine president Paul von Braun, this gallery showcases an impressive array of artworks spanning from the 19th century to contemporary pieces. Visitors can embark on a captivating journey through German art history, starting with Neoclassicism and traversing through Romanticism, Impressionism, Expressionism, and beyond.
Museum Pfalzgalerie Lautre is one on the most interesting museum with a special and unique collection of art from a lot of different areas in art history and destinations, as well it is quite famous for its contemporary art exhibitions
Hamdy R — Google review
Many artifacts that survived WWII on display. There were several modern day exhibits and an electric light show offered at the time of my visit. Entry was free at the time of my visit but entry fee may be required at other times. The museum is not very big but you could spend a couple of hours walking through the exhibits and works of art. I would include this as a place to visit when in Kaiserslautern.
M. H — Google review
Nice museum but the permanent exhibition which reflects the German art of the Palatinate in the 18-20th centuries is very small, unreasonable small, schematic, with big spaces reserved to ephemerous, boring, contemporary art and projects of debatable value. It has a good selection of art books for sale at low prices, good selecționer of postcards and souvenirs.
Alin S — Google review
The museum is well organized, quiet and modern, not crowded at all. First saturday of the month with free entrance! There was a temporary and a permanent exposition. Worth a visit if you like paitings.

Fascinating little art museum. Very kind and knowledgeable staff Decent priced tickets and art posters Easy parking/access
J L — Google review
This is a small museum, with not many other visitors while we were there. It was very quiet, and the employees follow you from room to room - which can be a bit distracting. It gave us something to do while visiting family in Kaiserslautern.

Burg Hohenecken

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Burg Hohenecken is a captivating castle ruin located on a rocky spur 365 meters up on Schlossberg hill, southwest of Kaiserslautern. The fortress, dating back to the Hohenstaufen era, offers a striking testimony to Staufian architecture and can be seen from afar. Accessible via a steep path from the town center, it sits at the end of a ridge and boasts an extensive plateau at 376 meters high.
These castle ruins are a steep but quick walk from the city hall parking lot, with a nice view over the town, and interesting ruins. The nearby goats were also fun to see!
Elizabeth T — Google review
These are really neat castle ruins! There's an informational sign which is helpful to understand the history (in multiple languages too!). It is a steep walk to get up to it, and we had trouble finding the walkway at first (there is a sign pointing down the street that had some overgrown trees in front of it). But once we found it and got up there, it was worth it! Most people said to park at the city center parking lot, we parked down the street by a cemetery. Anyway, awesome spot and a nice view of the villages below!
Kasey S — Google review
Burg Hohenecken is such a hidden gem! The castle ruins are a beautiful sight and truly a spectacle to see up close. The panoramic view of the city below is breathtaking, especially on a clear day. The surrounding area offers endless trails perfect for walking or cycling, making it a great spot to relax, explore, and enjoy nature. Highly recommend visiting!
Lady C — Google review
This is a really cool Castle to visit and take a moderate brisk walk up the hill. The ruins are still awesome to visit and see some of the raw walls of the castle. It has a beautiful view of the town. Parking is plentiful not far from the base of the hill and a few steps from the entrance of the trail. The town is not far from Vogelweh and Pulanski Barracks. The added bonus, its free.
ROB B — Google review
The walk up is fairly steep, but do-able for my toddler and pregnant wife. At the top there are a few ruins to see and some nice views of the surrounding valley. Nice quick stop.
Devin E — Google review
A nice walk in the forest up to this beautiful scenic place :) I have no idea what the ticket price is for, everything seems free
Martina C — Google review
This was a nice castle ruins to hike up to. Definitely wear some comfortable shoes so you can hike up to the castle safely and comfortably. The views were nice and it was nice to be able to get a breath of fresh air at the top. It’s only about 20 minutes from the KMC area so it’s also conveniently located
Ms. K — Google review
Good trails to take you to the castle from different directions that are marked along the way with history. The castle itself is small and has no overhead cover from weather. Some goats near the castle, which were a surprise to see on the walk there. The warning side to not feed them is present. Enjoyed the views from the castle. A few benches are located at the castle to have a meal and enjoy your walk to it. Distance to travel varies depending on where you started. There's a nice park for the children a few minutes away by foot following a narrow trail.

The Theodor-Zink-Museum is a small, restored 19th-century building located in the old downtown area of Kaiserslautern. It features exhibits on the history of the town from prehistoric times to WWII and beyond. Admission is mostly free, with one section that charges a fee but is only available in German. This hidden gem is recommended for those interested in local history or looking for something to do while wandering around town.
It’s a wonderful museum with a lot of history about Kaiserslauten. The entry is free. You could spend around an hour if you want to read through everything and get to know Kaiserslauten better. Everything displayed are in German but there’s few books in the rooms which has the English translations for all the items and infos on display. You can also buy souvenirs from the front office. I bought a small wine/shots glass just for 1€.
Emil A — Google review
Good municipal museum. Almost everything is translated into English, it covers all eras from paleolithic to post-ww2. Lots of historical explanations and historical context. And good publicistic acrivity. It has a books hop with proffesional books and journals on local history. You can certainly find out a lot about Kaiserslautern by visiting.
Alin S — Google review
Cool semi-hidden but beautifully restored museum accessed from within a courtyard in the old downtown area of Kaiserslaughtern. Lots of memorabilia from prehistoric days to the Roman Empire to WWII and more recent days, too. It's free to walk through almost all the exhibits - there is one part that charges 4€ per person, but that part was all in German, which sadly I cannot read, so I don't even know what it was. Recommended especially if you're wandering around just enjoying the day and killing time.
Cannonfish — Google review
Beautiful gem tucked in Kaiserslautern. Wonderful preservation of history.
Lala S — Google review
Very interesting museum where the history of Kaiserslautern is preserved. I particularly learned about the impact of hyperinflation, the treatment of the Jewish citizens and their synagogue, and the impact of the allied bombing. I also learned that Kaiserslautern was the epicenter for sewing machines.
Terry D — Google review
i stopped here while randomly exploring the city one afternoon. the musem is free, but mostly in german. i don't speak german but the person working was really kind and gave me a little bit of info, and then i wandered around and looked at the pictures and exhibits. the special exhibit does cost a few euros, but the main one is free and covers the history of hte area. i found it really interesting and a great use of an hour or two!

Kaiserbrunnen

Fountains
Kaiserbrunnen, located at Mainzer Tor in Kaiserslautern, is a captivating bronze and sandstone fountain that offers a whimsical journey through the city's history and modern influences. The fountain features symbolic elements such as a Napoleon hat, busts of Holy Roman Emperors Frederick and Rudolf, the city's seal, a Pfaff sewing machine, and an Opel car engine.
What a wonderful little fountain, with a really cool mix of steampunk imagery and figures from the medieval period to the renaissance. And on a “hot” day like today, the kids really enjoy getting their feet wet and playing.
Christopher C — Google review
Very nice water display. A nice place to take a quick break.
Tony ( — Google review
Pretty fountain. Nice to visit and take some pictures but nothing else around.
Michele G — Google review
This is a very fun fountain for a family with small children. We walked through downtown Kaiserslautern with family visiting from America, and hadn't spent much time in Kaiserslautern ourselves, but I had looked this fountain up because my kids absolutely love large fountains like this. It did NOT disappoint. There are many figures to look at, and though it seems to be prohibited, the design of the fountain invites one to walk through it between the figures. There are also two headless figures which make for a great photo opp, almost like one of those paintings with the faces cut out for you to stick your head in. There is a busy road (ludwigstrasse) on the other side, if coming from St Martin's Place, which you should be aware of and keep a close eye on your children, but it doesn't subtract to the fun of this fountain. If you're walking through downtown Kaiserslautern with small children, definitely add this to your list of destinations.
Danielle C — Google review
Fantastic fountain with a great backstop for every figuer
Brett V — Google review
Beautiful, picturesque town, with excellent shops and restaurants along cobblestone streets. A mix of modern, such as K at Lauren mall and historic, this town is a perfect blend.

I got to this place real early like 7 am. Very quiet and very peaceful indeed.

Nestled in the heart of Kaiserslautern, Zoo Kaiserslautern is a delightful destination for animal lovers and families alike. Spanning 17 acres, this charming zoo is home to around 115 species, including majestic tigers and playful goats in its petting area. Visitors can explore diverse habitats like savannas and tropical houses while enjoying the serene lake that enhances the natural ambiance. Accessibility is a breeze whether you arrive by public transport or car.
Great outdoors experience for families. I recommend sunny day when animals are out and enjoying the weather. Perfect for a walk! Birds singing everywhere. Little playground in the middle of the zoo for small kids.
Agnieszka H — Google review
Fantastic cozy little zoo with multiple "walk inside the habitat" zones. Lots of fun animal interactions!
Anna G — Google review
This is not like a full-on zoo with Lions, gorillas, and so on. This Zoo is an interaction Zoo. We were able to sit and pet the camels, lemurs, ducks, and goats. Perfect pastime, great for small children, and loved the burger and fries.
Christina T — Google review
Great zoo to take your kids or to walk around and relax. Good variety of animals well kept. Well price. See photos for details.
Brandan G — Google review
Cool zoo where it seems like all the animals were active vs hiding in their little houses like other zoos, it’s fairly small tho, can walk around and see everything in about 30min-1hr
David V — Google review
Not the biggest zoo but had a good variety of animals and had mostly unobstructed views. Animals seemed happy and well taken care of. Of the exhibits, the playground was the biggest hit. Probably not enough to do for a whole day but definitely a great way to spend an afternoon.
Devin E — Google review
This is an good zoo with plenty of animals to see. It was fantastic to get up close to so many small animals including. Don’t have biggest animals lions, tigers and elephants. Well laid out with the little playground. Most suitable for kids. We didn't catch many of the events but that didn't soil the day, but the dolphin show was amazing and good fun. Food is available throughout the attraction (although good restaurant were shut on our visit). Good day out for the kids with family and reasonably priced.
Anton — Google review
This is not the San Diego or Dallas Zoo. It's a small zoo in Kaiserslautern. But, if you have a little time and want to entertain the kids, this is a really cool little zoo with plenty to see and do. The play area is very nice as well, not to mention the food is very good and the prices are certainly very reasonable. I mean, the food is not exactly on a Michelin Star level, but it is pretty amazing for a small zoo. But where in Germany, really, do they serve bad food? In all, this was a very enjoyable experience.

Located in the former marketplace of Kaiserslautern, the oldest Gothic hall church between the Rhine and Saar rivers stands. This captivating structure made of sandstone originated from a 12th-century monastery and was built upon its foundations in the mid-13th century. The earliest section, an elongated choir, took form during this time, while the hall nave was added several decades later in the 1300s.
This chapped is amazing. We were able to Finley go in this week and look inside. It’s a beautiful structure with great detail. Amazing stained glass and a wonderful layout. Not huge but enough to worship in. Perfectly placed in the city and a great find. Very clean and well taken care of.

It is filled with lush green trees and plants, tranquil sitting areas, and bodies of water where one can find fishes and ducks. The park also offers excellent photo opportunities; however, it tends to get crowded on sunny days.
Beautiful gardens. Ponds with koi fish. Waterfalls. Stone paths and steps. Lots of photo opportunities. Very relaxing. Has small snack bar. Has visitor restrooms. Small gift shop at the entrance. Reasonable admission fees.
Michele G — Google review
Stopped in and enjoyed the time here. It was smaller than we expected but we still had a nice walk around. This is not a stroller friendly place at all, so consider that when planning your visit. Lots of beautiful trees and scenery. Maps had us park down the street and there were not signs showing us where to go but we found it…
Leslie V — Google review
This garden was really beautiful and literally couldn't sit and read a book if it was warmer outside. Parking was great and close. Definitely worth a visit and will be posting on our insta @Parksidemagic soon and will show you what your missing out on. Looking forward to going back in spring

Garden was beautiful and perfect for a nice walk. It was serene and an amazing place for pictures. It’s well kept and the ducks and koi fish were so pretty in the small lake.
Melody C — Google review
Great place to stop if it's on your way. Inexpensive and gorgeous. If you arrive on the weekend there's free parking right next to it, drive up the ally by the side of the garden entrance
Tamirkat — Google review
Japanese Garten is a refreshing patch of nature in the middle of the city center. Although we missed the earlier blossoming of trees, the garden areas and trails were well maintained and beautiful. There are benches throughout the garden. Koi fish, ducks and other birds add to the picturesque setting of the garden. If looking to enjoy a book, take the perfect picture or just quietly observe nature, the garden is a great place for self reflection. A Japanese Tea ceremony is periodically performed within the grounds. There is also a a small outdoor cafe where you can get a beverage and light snack. This is a must see location in Ktown.
M. H — Google review
So peaceful and they have plants for sell too - such a lovely lil time with the kids
Fia K — Google review
Very peaceful! It is 6,50€ to enter and WELL worth it! There are beautiful koi fish in the pond and the views are spectacular. I'm going to have to come back and have a little picnic at this garden and maybe bring my books to study. It's gorgeous and sooo soo peaceful. Definitely going to make this place my little "escape" from reality. It doesn't even feel like you are in Germany when you walk in. Extremely ethereal. And hearing the waterfall was just so calming. I absolutely cannot wait to go back!

Cantina Mexicana is a vibrant and spacious restaurant with a small covered patio, offering a variety of Mexican, Southwestern, and Latin American dishes such as fajitas, tacos, and chili alongside refreshing cocktails. Visitors can expect generous portions of delicious and unique food served by friendly staff. The venue has received high praise on platforms like Tripadvisor for its authentic cuisine and cozy atmosphere.
I had a fantastic experience at Cantina Mexicana! The tacos were flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and the queso, chips, and salsa were all fresh and delicious. I also tried the strawberry mango frozen margarita, and it was absolutely refreshing and hit the spot. The atmosphere was lively, and the service was friendly and quick. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for great food and good vibes!

Tacos, enchiladas, rice, and beans were very good. Decor was fun, restrooms were very clean. I don't recommend the queso dip, as it was very thick, like they just heated up a block of mild cheddar cheese, so I won't order that again, but I will likely go back for the main dishes.

Great Mexican inspired food! Tamales are available year round 🫶🏽 Never had a bad margarita from here either! The banana margs are my favorite— very refreshing and tasty!!! 🍌🍹 Great place for family dining or dinner with friends. They are usually very busy but we’ve never had to wait long for a table. Recommend to get a reservation if you have a big party. The only annoying thing is that their credit card machine is ‘down’ 99% of the time so you have to bring euro cash with you.

We love stopping by Cantina Mexicana every time we’re in Kaiserslautern. The food is always fantastic — definitely one of the top Mexican restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is fun and colorful, with piñatas hanging from the ceiling, origami decorations, and even three-dimensional artwork worked into the walls. It’s a lively, welcoming place, and the food never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Great service, great food, great environment, reasonable prices, great interior design, overall great experience. I’d recommend it. Plus they offer you free sweet or unsweet tea.

Great food and friendly staff. Some in our group said the food tasted a bit different from what they are used to. My lunch fajitas were tasty and exactly what I expected. There was a little wait, but it is understandable due to the large group. I highly recommend this restaurant for a taste of Mexican cuisine.

April 2025, Clean restaurant, clean restroom, sweet tea was alright, enchiladas was surprisingly good, best part was the tres leches piece. -Side Note- Myself and my wife both were born in San Antonio and have been to Mexico, I’ve seen and tried it all. As far as I’m concerned this place is alright, especially in Germany!

The chimichanga was amazing. The birria taco was dry so I will stick with burritos and chimichangas next time. The service was excellent and the food came out quick.

Palatine restaurant
Wine bar
Gaststätte Spinnrädl is a charming restaurant located in Kaiserslautern, offering hearty Palatinate cuisine such as schnitzel dishes, fish fillet, saumagentaler, and more. The establishment features a beer and wine tavern as well as a historic banquet hall in Otterberg. The beautiful timber-frame building dates back to 1742 and is the last of its kind in the city.
Cozy atmosphere in the oldest residential building in Kaiserslautern. You step back in time when you enter this half timbered restaurant. The service was wonderful. We went on a Monday night right when they opened at 5:00 and all the tables we saw were reserved. However, we were seated at a table immediately that didn’t have a reservation until 7:30. The server was prompt to take our drink order and switched to speaking German when she heard us ordering in German. This is rare in Kaiserslautern and appreciated. The pumpkin soup was delicious and the farmer salad with bacon and potatoes was fresh and filling. The steaks were cooked a perfect medium and very juicy. The fried potatoes were flavorful and cooked with a little crispiness, not too soft. The price was compared to high quality of food. We left full and happy and will definitely be back again.

Such a hidden gem! We tried a couple of traditional German dishes and they were both outstanding. One had potatoes, eggs, and pickles – it was hearty, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The cheese-filled dish that looked like crepes was incredible, with the cheese and basil pairing beautifully. The fresh side salad rounded out the meal so well. Every bite was delicious, and the atmosphere made it even better.

Showed up at 1830 without a reservation and was lucky to get a table for 5 outside, cannot make one digitally from what I saw so give them a call. Service was great and the food was incredible. I have the spinnradl stuffed roast and the schnitzel looked solid too. Tried a few desserts, the dumplings is like a sweetbread and dipped in the sauce was surprisingly tasty.

With two locations in downtown Kaiserslautern and Einsiedlerhof, Mr. Lian is known for its popular sushi offerings and is often busy, especially on weekends.
During a business trip 2023 our team had lunch here! The lunch was phenomenal. The hot tea was perfect, the appetizer and main course put me in a fantastic food coma 😅I had no room for dessert. This is a 20/10 must if you’re in K Town.

Had a great meal here. We had summer rolls with chicken to start. I had a beef pho and my wife had a chicken pho. The bowls are very big, and plenty of meat. The broth was great. Service was friendly, and the restaurant looked great and very clean. Nothing bad to say, this place was great. Thanks you I loves you.

Mr. Lian's is a great place to eat. We had the spring rolls, Pho Tran, Chicken Udon, lemon grass tea, and lava cake. The dishes were full of flavor and excellently prepared. The lava cake is amazing! Staff is friendly and helpful. Go. You'll go back!

I haven’t been here in 6 years, The only good thing I had here was the Coco Love soup which is coconut soup and I had it with chicken. We got a sushi platter, Udon with Duck, and a couple of drinks like the Thai Basil. Like I said the only good thing was the soup, and i normally don’t care about price point but what the prices were compared to the quality, was terrible. I forgot to take pictures of the udon duck because it was so bad.

Food was fantastic! I'd highly recommend salmon tartar! Amazing! Service was good, however, once we received meals (which was quick) she never came back. I was going to ask if they had chili oil for my noodles. Pretty expensive ... we spent 48 per person but it was WORTH IT! I'm here for 2 weeks. I'll be back few more times b4 I leave. Thank you!!!

Awesome attentive service and great portion sizes. Really enjoyed their schnitzel and lots of people were ordering their pizza, their side salad was a good mix of greens and had decent flavor, their art schnitzel has a massive lemon slice to add all their burgers are sharp lemon flavor and their fries were on point. The staff was kind and had a smile the whole time, their e de for was really nice. Enjoyed the entire meal.

This was a good place to grab Italian food in town. The pizza was well made and had a good flavor, a little thicker than post pizzas in the area, which was a nice surprise. The overall flavor was good but falls just short of other places in the area. The pasta dish was also good. The meat was a bit on the chewy side. The sauce and pasta were well seasoned and cooked. Service was good, but the atmosphere was unfortunately ruined a bit by the many bugs flying around, including one that landed in our drinks (while eating inside). Overall, it's not a bad place to have Italian.

I’ve heard wonderful things about this restaurant and have tried to go in the past, but it’s always been booked. We went right when it opened tonight and got a table outside. Prompt service. Ordered the tagliatelle rindfleisch and vegetarian pizza. The pasta and vegetables were delicious, but the steak was over cooked and this made the sauce a little on the greasy side. The pizza was a little bland. However, the place was packed by the time we left, so we will definitely try it again and order something different.

The food, service and restaurant were great. We had the Spicy Meat Pizza (forgot the actual name), Calamari Pasta, and some desert. The pizza is some of the best I have had in the K-town area, good crispy crust and exceptional flavor. The calamari pasta was outstanding and very flavorful. Their wines were also very good with the food and for the price, it is hard to beat. The service was friendly and amazing during our visit. Definitely have no reservations about coming back here for some more pizza :)

Waited 2 hours (ordered off Lieferando) for the most unappetizing meal I've ever had from that app. Knoblauch und käse brot is literally sliced toast on cheese the shrimp salad is flavorless. OMG! We will definitely return! The food was surprisingly amazing! They have such a huge selection of burgers and gourmet at that. They also have great salads. We ordered The Joseph Burger and I don't remember the name of my salad, but it had mixed greens, sugared pecan nuts, pickled onions, and other yummy ingredients, such as goat cheese and a vinaigrette dressing that took this salad to the next level. The sweet potato fries were delish, as was the strawberry lemonade with mint leaves. We didn't have dessert because the portions were big, so we'll return for just dessert next time and take our food to-go. Oh, the place was clean, had fast service and friendly service. I wish we had this place in the USA. You can't go wrong here! Enjoy 😋

Don't look too far to find another burger place, this one is it! The atmosphere is perfect for lunch or dinner but I would suggest eating a little further from the doors as it does smell like cigarettes while you're eating too close to outside. The servers speak English but the English menu is in a QR code which you can get here: https://www.sissiundfranz.eu/wp-content/uploads/PDF/Sissi-und-Franz-Speisekarte-Englisch.pdf These burgers were absolutely delicious and there were so many combinations, it was hard to choose from! We settled on the Ferdinand and the Theodore with Truffle Fries! The Ferdinand tasted like a better version of a Big Mac and the Theodor was tasty as well & very filling. The Truffle Fries were the best I've had in Germany so far because the sauce is a perfect pair with the crunch of the fries! I didn't get to try the desert, they have various waffles & milkshakes but I was too full to try any of them! Next time for sure!

Food was so good! Phi was very authentic. I liked that you had to put the meet in the broth and let it cook vs the pho’s that already have the meat in it. However, service was slow but servers were polite and food made up for it

I hope to come back soon and try other dishes. My first impression of their pho is alright. However my coworkers dish smelled amazing. He had duck and rice.

Ordered the food through Lieferando. Took about an hour for delivery which was about the time stated. The seafood salad was a soggy mess because of all of the dressing, I had to take the salad out of the container and there was so much dressing left in the bottom of the container. it overpowered the salad. it also leaked all over the bag and the other dishes. The food was very good, but having to clean up a mess before starting to eat was annoying. And, the delivery and service fee together cost almost 6 euro.

Been here and ordered delivery from here a few times. They have a mostly traditional bahn mi that is tasty and I really really like their pho. Their broth has rich flavor. The place is small and the menu is a good mix of things. They have a couple of these around the area so if you aren’t in the K-town area, there is one in Ramstein too.

Non-typical opinion: one of the best airports to start cycling journey: fast baggage handling, place to assemble bike and beautiful routes just outside airport. Danke fur alle mitarbeiter von Hahn Flughafen!
Alex G — Google review
The airport is really far away and please dont mix up with FraPort. I had to take the bus to get there. Everything seems old and small. The process of security is fast. Remember to put all of liquid product in one see through bag. Going to boarding by walking directly to the airplane. It is too loud when there‘s a plane taking off or landing. Overall it‘s cheap ticket so it fit the price.
Ha P — Google review
The security check took about 30 minutes (around 6 PM). The airport is very small, yet quite a lot of flights depart from here, so most people end up sitting on the floor because there are nowhere near enough seating areas. There are just about enough seats for one plane’s passengers, not for seven-ten gates. The shops here already closed by 7 PM in case you want to buy something, but compared to other airports, the prices are a bit more reasonable (just a little).
Albert C — Google review
Ultra Low cost airport. Time for security 30 minutes. Staff is pleasant.
Volodymyr — Google review
Porrly maintained. There was almost no options to eat for late flyers. So less sitting places, maybe just for 10% of passengers could find a seat while waiting at the gates.
Gökhan Ö — Google review
The absolute worst airport I've ever had the misfortune to pass through. An hour in the security queue - only two lanes open and the slowest and most unfriendly staff I've ever encountered. On a late evening stopover, with kids only a McDonalds (on the of outside the security gate) open for food. Water severely overpriced even by airport gouging standards. Only terrible sandwiches to eat. Unfriendly staff throughout the airport, from the moment you get off the plane until the moment you are herded onto your departing plane. The whole airport feels like a shed, you are the cows and the staff are the herders. The only friendly person in the whole place was the guy at the cashier in the only open shop. My advice, avoid this airport unless you have no other choice. Bonus complaint: although not in the airport to travel there, it is billed as Frankfurt-Hahn, but it's three hours from Frankfurt!
Kevin S — Google review
Just came to pick up someone ,didnt flew from this place. However ,airport looks great with all small amenities like a restaurants and various shops there. As the airport has only low cost companies and because of their schedule ,most of the shops and restaurants at 21:00 was closed already. As i know little bit of history of this place ,it is good to see some of former US military things are still there ,and the airport definitelly has a future comparing with some other former US military airbases or airfields in Germany which still fights for some better days. The airport has Mcdonalds ,even kebab restaurant and just before the airport there is a Burger King. The area is beautifull ,and also just next to the airport there is a B&B hotel.
Drazen S — Google review
Avoid this airport at all costs. Getting there is a nightmare, and leaving is just as bad. The only option is a bus that takes 2.5 miserable hours. Total waste of time. Pay more and fly from a real airport — you’ll thank yourself later. And Wizz Air? Hands down the worst airline ever. If you’re not from Europe and flying with them for the first time, beware: their whole business model is built on tricking you into paying extra fees. Every. Single. Step. Flights are always delayed, and the way they treat passengers is disgusting — like you don’t matter at all. Never again.

Frankfurt Airport

International airport
Airport
Frankfurt Airport is a major international airport with convenient transportation options, including two stations for regional and long-distance trains as well as city shuttles. Located in the Rhine-Main region on the banks of the River Main, it serves as an important gateway to the vibrant city of Frankfurt am Main in Germany.
Frankfurt Airport is one of the best airports I’ve traveled through. It’s extremely clean, well-maintained, and efficiently run, which makes for a smooth travel experience even during busy times. The layout is modern and easy to navigate, with plenty of clear signage in both German and English. One thing that really stood out to me was the food – there’s a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and grab-and-go spots that go far beyond the typical airport fare. Whether you want a quick snack, traditional German dishes, or international cuisine, you’ll find plenty of good options. Security and customs were organized and moved at a steady pace, which I appreciated. There are also lots of comfortable seating areas, duty-free shops, and lounges that make long layovers much more enjoyable. Overall, Frankfurt Airport feels efficient, clean, and welcoming – a place where travel doesn’t feel like a hassle, but part of the experience.
Ryan W — Google review
Frankfurt Airport is one of Europe’s busiest hubs, and my recent experience there was overall very smooth. The security check was seamless, with plenty of personnel on hand to guide passengers on what items to remove, which made the process fast and stress-free. The check-in counters open only two hours before departure, which can be a bit inconvenient for early arrivals, but once open, everything runs efficiently. Inside, the airport is well equipped: Ample seating areas for waiting comfortably. Gaming stations for kids, which is a nice touch for families. A wide variety of duty-free shops offering everything from souvenirs to luxury goods. Interestingly, I found chocolates quite pricey, but perfumes and LEGO toys cheaper compared to Helsinki Airport, as well as many German and French stores. A decent selection of restaurants and cafés, catering to different tastes. The only drawback I noticed was the very limited number of water refilling points—I came across only one. For such a large airport with excellent other facilities, this was surprising and could definitely be improved.

The Ultimate Wide-Body Spotting Location! If your passion is catching the biggest aircraft in the sky—the Boeing 747s, Airbus A380s, A350s, and all the heavy wide-bodies—Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is an absolute must-visit. This is a five-star location purely for the sheer volume and variety of "big boys" passing through as the hub for Lufthansa and a major global cargo gateway. Best Spot for Arrivals (The Money Shot): Search for the "Autobahn Viewing Area" or "Luftbrückendenkmal" (Berlin Airlift Monument). This elevated spot near Zeppelinheim puts you directly under the flight path for approaches to the 25L/C runways. You get spectacular, frame-filling views of aircraft on short final. Bring a mid-range zoom (70-200mm) for incredible photos. Parking can be a short walk, but the reward is worth it. Best Spot for Takeoffs (Pure Power): Head to the "Runway 18 Viewing Platform" (also sometimes called "Take-off Site West"). This platform is specifically designed to get you over the fence for clear shots of heavy jets spooling up and thundering down the departure-only runway. The sight and sound of a fully loaded 747 or A340 rotating right in front of you is a legendary experience. Pro-Tip: Check the day's active runways online before you go to pick the perfect spot! This is an essential stop for any serious aviation enthusiast.

Frankfurt International Airport – One of Europe’s Best-Kept Travel Secrets I travel through Frankfurt International Airport every year, and every time it confirms one thing: this airport is in a league of its own. It’s clean, modern, calm, and extremely well-organized—a place where traveling becomes smoother and even enjoyable. Despite being one of Europe’s largest hubs, it never feels chaotic. Instead, there’s a flow, a rhythm, and a structure that just works. What stands out? ✔️ Fresh fruit always available – something that seems small but is so rare and appreciated by frequent travelers like me. ✔️ Next-level bakeries – truly some of the best I’ve seen in any airport around the world. ✔️ Spacious terminals with natural light and plenty of seating. ✔️ Quiet and peaceful atmosphere, even during peak hours. ✔️ A level of care and infrastructure that shows German precision at its finest. It’s the kind of airport where you don’t feel rushed, stressed, or lost. It’s built for travelers—those who move often, those who value quality, and those who appreciate thoughtful design. ⸻ Verdict: Frankfurt Airport might not be the trendiest, but it’s definitely one of the most reliable, refined, and pleasant international airports in Europe. If you travel often, this is the kind of place that makes a difference. A solid 10/10.

Frankfurt Airport is very large and busy, yet the lines move quickly thanks to the professionalism of the police and staff. The airport’s size means you should plan your transfer flights carefully.I think at least 2 hours and 45 minutes is enough time for a comfortable connection. Prices inside are generally high, but the facilities are clean, and the food and drinks are of good quality.

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is undeniably Germany's primary international gateway and largest airport. While Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) serves the capital region and is a major hub, Frankfurt actually handles the most passenger traffic and operates as the main hub for Lufthansa and global alliances. For anyone connecting internationally or traveling to other parts of Europe, Frankfurt's size and efficiency make it the crucial transportation center in the German country.

Decent airport but the security check waiting time is a lot and when you consider the size of the airport it takes a lot of time to get everything in order before your flight! So always plan to reach early when you are are travelling! Also if you are having a connecting flight here, make sure you have a layover of atleast 2.5 hours.

We went for connection between US to India. Nice international airport with almost all international flight connection here. Information: lot of centers with TV on all corners Occupancy: it was a morning so less crowd. Restrooms: Lot of restrooms on every terminal and it’s clean and well maintained Transportation: Monorail between terminals, physically challenged with vehicles Food: between terminals you have Starbucks, Burger King, Falcon (bakery and coffee) good seating to see the flight landing and movement in the runway Rest or seating: there are ample recliner seats and bed to take rest for free in A or B which I have seen Smoking: dedicated area for it
