Very beautiful and peaceful. Great views and cool breeze! Restaurant was closed when we went. Take water. Dress modestly or they give you paper cover ups to go in.

A sanctuary on the top of the mountain. That's the Italian way of building churches. Created around 1200's-1500's this is the most beautiful place to pray and contemplate the beauty of the nature, fresh air, and a magnificent landscape view of cities such us Mercogliano, summomte and Avellino. That's not all, from here, you can see the naples beach and island and the volcano. Moreover, the sanctuary is full of history and beautiful images.

Emozionante, facilmente raggiungibile, ben organizzato, pulito. Exciting, easily accessible, well organized, clean. I really liked the crypt with the relics of the saints, especially San Modestino. On the spot you will find a bar, stalls with local products. Spannend, leicht zugänglich, gut organisiert, sauber. Mir gefiel die Krypta mit den Reliquien der Heiligen, vor allem San Modestino, wo es eine Bar und Stände mit lokalen Produkten gibt Захватывающий, легкодоступный, хорошо организованный, чистый.

(Translated by Google) Monte Terminio, the second highest peak only to Cervialto, is a limestone mountain that is part of the Picentini Mountains in the Campania Apennines and is also part of the Monti Picentini Natural Park. In addition to being an enchanting peak, it is full of nature itineraries and is the only one, compared to all the other mountains in Campania, to have spontaneous vegetation above 1700 meters above sea level. The summit is easily reachable, just take the Avellino-Salerno motorway junction and take the Serino exit. Along the route that will take you to the summit from the slopes of Monte Terminio you can take advantage of numerous equipped picnic areas that offer numerous and different outdoor recreational activities . From the start, the path enters a setting of spectacularly green beech forests, whose wonderful and majestic trunks rise tens of meters high, offering a unique and inimitable coolness. Trekking shoes and poles are essential, and given not only the difficulty of the path but also and above all the dense forest vegetation, it is advisable to have a reliable GPS device with you that helps you not to lose your way, especially in places where the CAI signs it is almost non-existent and one easily loses orientation and consequently the track. The immense and stupendous expanses of beech forests, in addition to being dominant, are immersed in an uncontaminated landscape between karst sinkholes and immense plateaus. From Campolaspierto the road is signposted both by the CAI and by the Mountain Community and crossing a large plateau you immediately enter the woods to face a bumpy carriage road that climbs up to the Acqua del Cerchio, an intermittent spring where there are often animals to quench their thirst. The climb is not difficult, however you must always be careful in the mountains. Continue towards the Collelungo pass and from there the path becomes narrower and more tortuous until you reach Cima, where there is a majestic cross. Excursion of great panoramic and natural relief. From the top of Mount Terminio, on the clearest days, it is possible to see Vesuvius, Mount Mai, Pizzo San Michele, Mount Partenio, the Lattari mountains, the Gulf of Salerno and the sea. A wonderful natural environment to be enhanced and protected with more care, also promoting respect and sustainable development of such an important environmental resource. Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Clock Tower, an iconic structure in Avellino, is a historical monument that was constructed during the latter half of the 17th century. Often attributed to the talented architect-sculptor Cosimo Fanzago, it stands as a symbol of the city. Located in close proximity to the Cathedral within the charming historic center, this magnificent landmark is truly awe-inspiring. However, it could benefit from a restoration project to preserve its grandeur for future generations.

Very well done, with objects, panels, audiovisuals, and even a touch of representation, taking advantage of the various rooms of the former prison on three different levels. A very instructive journey which occupies half of this Bourbon prison and which starts from the Palace of Culture or where the Giulio and Scipione Capone Provincial Library is located. Too bad that a number of projectors or screens were not in operation. The room dedicated to Mefite is very suggestive. The virtual theatrical representation is very poetic. The collection of university scientific instruments is fantastic, lovingly looked after by the two professors you might meet while carrying out maintenance, and who would be happy to explain how they work. At the top of the village stands the castle of Norman origin, built in the eleventh century. At its feet the medieval center developed, made of cobbled streets and winding alleys, which climb up endless stairways. I was so impressed with her wines that I bought plenty. Did I say I loved them all the 🍷. It is small wineries like Cantina Bambino that I love visiting. I highly recommended you visit, taste and buy some wine. Thank you Marilena for your hospitality and great wine. I look forward to visiting again. Ho detto che li amavo tutti the. Natale Cervantes

🍝 - Food: 5/5 🛎️ - Service 5/5 📍 - Location & atmosphere 3/5 Madison Pizza: Where Creativity Lacks in Name but Not in Flavor! First, let's have a moment of silence for the creativity that went into naming this gem...because it went elsewhere! But fear not. The pizzas here speak louder than any name ever could. Madison serves up a genuinely mouthwatering Napoli-style pizza to make you forget you're just a few steps away from a major roadway. And yes, Madison's got one in a world where QR code menus are taking over! I know. Why can't we get a cheesy paper menu? But hey, it's multilingual and packed with choices, including options for our gluten-averse and lactose-intolerant pals. I went for the "tris of Montana" because, well, can you ever have too many fried goodies? The answer is no. Perfectly fried and deliciously crispy, these little morsels perfectly complemented my "old-but-gold" salsiccia and friarielli pizza. Ah, nostalgia never tasted so good. In case you weren't aware, the service was lightning fast, precise, and sprinkled with kindness, which pairs well with pizza. Also, shoutout to the brilliantly accessible restroom. Any place that saves me from my mortal enemy—the basement hand dryer—wins in my book. So, if you want a pizza experience with lacklustre naming skills but stellar taste, head over to Madison. Bring your QR skills and an appetite for deliciousness!

Degusta

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Avellino, Degusta is a charming restaurant and pizzeria that promises an unforgettable dining experience. While it may not be featured in the Pizzerie d'Italia 2024 guide, it remains a beloved spot for locals craving authentic Italian pizza. Their classic offerings like Margherita, Diavola, and Scarpariello are crafted with care using high-quality ingredients such as Piennolo tomatoes and Grana Padano.
We recently celebrated my daughter’s Christening reception at Degusta, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly accommodating and welcoming, making us and our guests feel at ease throughout the event. The food was excellent, with a variety of delicious options. What stood out the most was the indoor playground, which was a huge hit with my daughter and the other children. It provided them with a safe, fun space to play while the adults enjoyed their meals and conversations. The combination of great service, tasty food, and a family-friendly atmosphere made this a memorable celebration. I would highly recommend Degusta for family gatherings or special occasions.

One of the best pizza restaurants in Avellino specifically for gourmet style pizzas. We had a pizza melanzane/parmigiano, a stuffed pizza which my wife and I shared filling us up. It was a new pizza and may not be on the menu and may have a different name having to ask. But, it was delicious! The atmosphere is very nice with a rustic charm with a modern theme. I definitely plan to return!

Great dining spot in Avellino that features local Irpinia/Avellino foods in a refreshing presentation. Our group of 5 enjoyed a Saturday lunch. We were quickly seated and the staff was extremely attentive. They provided recommendations based on their current specials. The menu is thoughtfully curated. We each found ourselves wanted to try more than just one dish! The caciocavallo and truffle antipasto was fantastic. The selections of salumi and cheese with jam was wonderful too. The bread was freshly baked and generously provided. We were all very pleased with our primi pasta dishes as well. I look forward to returning to try the Genovese. It seemed to be the favorite of the group! However, everything was cooked with care and flavor. The boar ravioli was truly beautiful and tasty. The gnocchi with smoked burrata and zucchini flowers was creamy and still light. Do not hesitate to stop in for a meal!

(Translated by Google) Nice evening with friends in this excellent pizzeria in the center of Avellino. Place...a little hidden, therefore not easy to locate (it is in a side street in front of the Avellino court), from the outside the restaurant appears anonymous, impersonal, without a sign and with curtains on the enormous windows which do not which further hide the room. You realize that you have reached the right place when you are almost inside it. Inside it is rather clean and tidy with very simple furnishings, minimal on the modern side. There are about sixty seats. Menu... rich, perhaps too rich (at least the pizza ones) offers a good choice both if you are oriented towards pizzas and if you want to enjoy appetizers and dishes (first courses, second courses and desserts). Limited choice of beers. Above average pizza, with an excellent combination of ingredients (good quality) and intensity of flavours. The dough is excellent, light and digestible. Maybe the cornice is too big, but it's a matter of taste. The fries are decent, dry, crunchy but insufficient in the fillings. Account...Good quality/price ratio, on average lower than pizzerias of the same level.

Steak ordered Medium, more medium rare. Very rare & bloody. Waitress took it to be cooked some more. Result crusty exterior still raw inside. Disappointed. Manager more interested on instructing waitresses on table placement instead of dealing with paying customer. Very poor experience. Expect medium steak not to be rare. And better customer care. Unless they truly don't give a dam as more people like us will go in there and accept poor quality of steak cooking.

Naples International Airport

International airport
Airport
Naples International Airport, also known as Naples Capodichino Airport, is the main airport in Campania offering both domestic and international flights. The airport features duty-free shops, rental car services, and convenient city bus links. From Naples, travelers can easily access Rome by train for a day trip or explore the captivating attractions within the region of Campania.
Naples Airport is a small but efficient airport that offers a surprising number of daily flights to destinations around the world on a variety of airlines. Its compact size makes it easy to navigate—you can get from one part of the airport to another quickly, and going through immigration is usually fast and smooth. While it doesn’t have all the amenities you might find at a larger international airport, the essentials are covered. Signage is generally clear, and if you do need assistance, the staff are helpful and approachable. Overall, a convenient and pleasant airport experience.

Over the past three years, I’ve traveled several times from and to Naples International Airport. Overall, I would describe it as a medium-sized airport with fairly average accessibility. The journey from the city center typically takes about 20 minutes by taxi, or between 30 to 40 minutes by bus, depending on traffic conditions. One of the airport’s strengths is its layout—navigating from the entrance to the check-in desks is straightforward and doesn’t require much walking, which is convenient, especially if you're carrying luggage. However, one notable drawback is the signage. Directions to the gates can be confusing, particularly because many of them are located on the first or second floors, and the signs aren’t always clearly marked. In terms of amenities, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes scattered throughout the airport. Most are located before the check-in area, before security, and also within the gate zones. However, unlike many modern airports, I couldn’t find any access to free tap water, which was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, food and drink prices are relatively reasonable. For instance, a bottle of water costs around €2, which is quite affordable compared to other European airports. One area where the airport could improve is customer service. It’s not easy to find staff members to ask for help, and information desks are not always visible or accessible. Despite this, my overall experience at the airport—both for arrivals and departures—has been generally positive. For example, today it took me just 40 minutes to get from check-in through security and to my gate, which is quite efficient for an airport of this size. All things considered, I’d say Naples Airport offers a decent travel experience, with a few areas that could benefit from better organization and clearer signage.

This airport is well organized and lovely. It is clean, with lots of food, drink, and shopping options, and we love that they have couches in the waiting areas for maximum comfort and that work great for taking a nap. I am happy with the design of the airport and that everything is close together.

A clean and bright terminal. No too large, either. Lots of food and shopping options. You should enjoy flying through this terminal. Nice cafe is just outside the Terminal building, and taxi/pick up areas are only a few, convenient steps away

Absolutely the worst airport we have ever been too. People with kids be AWARE!!!! This airport kicks everyone out at 12am regardless if you have kids or not. The airlines need to give warning about this ridiculous policy at this “international airport”. I am waiting with my kids outside waiting for them to reopen, not even any setups outside where people can opt to rest while waiting. People were even sleeping under a playground setup due to the lack of organization with this airport.

This airport should be avoided at all costs. The last bus to the airport leaves the station at 11:58 p.m., and the first bus in the morning leaves at 5 a.m., so to catch our 6 a.m. flight, we had to take the night bus. The airport closes from 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. for “security reasons” without specifying on its website the law that dictates this rule. The only place to rest is on the uncovered benches outside, so if it rains, you have to book a room at the hotel next door, which offers overnight accommodation. Naples is truly a world apart, in a very negative way.

im giving it one star because i cant give 0. i have never in my life had such a horrible experience with an airport. My flight was in the middle of the night and because there was no public transport then i came in the evening. However the airport closes. AND PEOPLE GET KICKED OUT TO THE STREET. It’s October, its cold, it was raining, and the airport employees literally kicked everyone out. There were older people, babies, in the cold and rain at 1am, with no bathroom or place to get food or water near. People huddled together for warmth. it was horrific. I am never EVER coming back to this hell of a place

The worst airport experience. Naples Airport closes from 22:30 to 03:30 and kicks everyone out. No toilets, no heating, and nothing to eat or drink. They claim it’s for “security” and because there are no night flights, but my flight was at 6AM, so I was supposed to be there by 3AM as recommended however the airport was locked. The last bus from the city to the airport is at 23:58, so we arrived early thinking we could wait inside. Instead, we were stuck outside in the cold with no services. Taxis are very expensive, so there’s no affordable way to arrive later.
