Phong Nha Vegan Restaurant

Restaurant
Phong Nha Vegan Restaurant offers a buffet on the 1st and 15th of each month, attracting locals who come to support their friends' business. The menu includes a variety of dishes, ranging from tofu to banana flower, as well as rice and vegan sushi. Notably, the fried tempura fake squid is a must-try, with its stuffing made of seaweed.
An amazing vegan restaurant, where some of the food has a Korean influence. Our family ate here every single day, lunch and dinner, during our stay in Phong Nha. I highly recommend the Grilled Enoki mushroom and soy beef lolot wraps, braised tofu and fried rice. The atmosphere is great, especially the outdoor seating next to the Con River.
Darryl L — Google review
Literally the best food you can get in Phong Nha, in 4 days we’ve eaten here 4 times. Everything is so tasty and fresh, and a bit different from the rest of the places around the town. I’m sure even the meat eaters will appreciate it. The absolute highlights are: eggplant, enoki mushrooms skewers and ribbon salad. The coconut mango smoothie is a must as well! The staff is friendly, and the prices are great as well. Come at lunch time for the river views ❤️ Thanks to the entire team for feeding us so well!
Anna S — Google review
We ate every meal of our 3 day stay in Phong Nha here. The food was delicious and you get more than the usual options. I can recommend the braised aubergine, veggie tempura and the spicy soup! For drinks we liked the coconut mango smoothie and the lemonade. I didn’t love the spring rolls though as they lacked filling and flavour in comparison to other ones we had in vietnam. On some days (for us it was wednesday) they have 50k vegan buffet, which was amazing value for the price!
Ioana — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I Had to Wait Too Long I had mixed feelings about my visit to Phong Nha Vegan. I ordered two dishes: spicy noodles and bánh xèo. The bánh xèo was delicious, crispy, and full of flavor – definitely the highlight of my meal. However, the spicy noodles were disappointing. It turned out to be instant noodles with just a few toppings added. It didn’t taste fresh, and I ended up leaving more than half of it unfinished. The biggest issue for me was the long waiting time. I had to wait about 30 minutes for my food, even though there were only three customers in the restaurant. The staff mentioned they were short on workers, but with such a small crowd, I expected quicker service. On a positive note, they offered me a free glass of iced tea, which was a nice gesture. Overall, the food was decent, but the service speed definitely needs improvement, especially when it's not busy.
Tin T — Google review
I'm not a vegetarian/vegan, but I've really enjoyed the food here! Everything I've tried has been so flavorful and delicious. The service is also great. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner!
Eleni B — Google review
One of the most delicious vegan restaurants I’ve tried and the best among restaurant you could find in Phong Nha, must try veggie tempura, mango smoothie, and Vietnamese watery noodles, they will serve a buffet at the beginning and middle of lunar calendar every month
Snchan — Google review
We LOVED this place. We ate here twice a day when in Phong Nha. So good to relax and eat awesome Vegetarian and Vegan food. Highly recommend.
Bianca W — Google review
One of the best restaurants ever! So many delicious options. Stayed just for two days in the town and came twice. The staff is so friendly and their English skills are really good! You can sit close to the water, outside or inside (beautiful location) We tried different things and everything were 10/10! So sad that I can’t go there everyday. Highly recommend it! They cook delicious tofu and have healthy fake meat options as well 😍 the cookie, matcha and smoothie were insane. You must try the spring rolls 🥹 Dear staff I wish you the best costumers. Thanks for everything ❤️

Bamboo Chopsticks Restaurant

Mentioned on
1 list
$$$$cheap
Restaurant
Bamboo Chopsticks is a charming café located near Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, known for its positive reviews. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including the Full English Breakfast and Seafood Salad, which are beautifully presented and delicious. The café's focus on reducing plastic usage in Vietnam is commendable, offering free water refills to reduce plastic bottle consumption. While the atmosphere is lovely, occasional noise from passing trucks may disrupt the tranquility.
Are here 4 times during our stay. Loved everything we ate. The staff were so lovely and the food delicious. I loved the seafood pasta and the roast duck and baked veggies. The duck breast is smoked which I usually do not like but this was delicious. The desserts to yum. Highly recommend this place.
Tanya M — Google review
A warm, atmospheric gem in the heart of Phong Nha My colleague and I had dinner here during a quick working trip to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. Although I’ve known the owner, Hai, for quite a few years, this was our first time experiencing his now well-known restaurant — just a stone’s throw from what many call the best cave in the world. Fun fact: Hai, my colleague, and I all share a passion for running — so catching up here over dinner felt extra meaningful. The restaurant seems to be a magnet for international travelers, especially Caucasian tourists. Every evening it’s packed with young couples, close friends, and traveling families. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere is calm and cozy. You can enjoy soft music and have relaxed conversations without raising your voice. We had duck breast, bread, and beef steak — all beautifully prepared and delicious — with cold local beer to complete the meal. One note for diners: be ready to wait a little while for your food, as the restaurant is usually full and everything is made fresh. Highly recommended — a place that combines quality, warmth, and a sense of community right in the heart of Phong Nha.
Hien N — Google review
Sure! Here’s a polished and enthusiastic English review you can use: ⸻ Absolutely incredible place! The food here is unbelievably delicious — truly some of the best I’ve ever had. I’m especially in love with their signature spaghetti dishes. The seafood spaghetti is packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. I also highly recommend the chicken salad — it’s fresh, hearty, and absolutely mouthwatering. On top of the amazing food, the staff is outstanding: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers both taste and great service, this is it!
Анна К — Google review
Not much words needed in regards to the foods, presentation, and especially the staff and attentive and not to forget the salt coffee. The best one I’ve had so far in Vietnam! I would highly recommend you visit bamboo chopsticks. It’s a place to go, it’s local and everyone is so friendly. We heard about it from friends and they did not exaggerate how good the food is. 10/10 definitely give it a try and you won’t be disappointed. Many thanks to Hà who was serving us this morning. It’s been a pleasure ❤️
Serek Z — Google review
An interesting themed restaurant. The selection of food is great and the staff are very friendly. Restaurant is spotless too. The food takes a little longer to come out but that’s because it’s all cooked from scratch and that we can look paste.
James K — Google review
The staff here are so so lovely, they really make the restaurant! We came here 3 times during our stay in Phong Nha. Both the breakfast and dinner options were great, and the chocolate milkshake was the best we’ve had. Highly recommend 🫰🏼
Jen C — Google review
Our favourite restaurant in Phong Nha by a mile. Amazing service and the food is delicious, from the mango salad, to the beef stew and of course the caramelised tofu. :)
Ben H — Google review
We ate dinner here last night and found out they did cooking classes. We did a cooking class and it was absolutely incredible. Ha brought us to the market where we bought the food we used in the dishes. We all cooked a dish and the staff in the kitchen were so lovely. The food was delicious

Phong Nha Underground Restaurant

Permanently Closed
Restaurant
Phong Nha Underground Restaurant is a unique dining spot that offers a blend of Western and local authentic cuisine. The use of local and organic ingredients is evident in the flavorful dishes, making it an ideal choice for those seeking vegetarian or vegan-friendly options. The restaurant's commitment to environmental friendliness is reflected in its practices. Visitors can expect well-balanced food presentation, delicious cocktails, rare red wine, and delectable baked goods.
We wanted to flee the Vietnamese cuisine for one day and decided on the Phong Nha Underground. Good Choice! They offer a variety of burgers and authentic Italian dishes and some nice bakery. Enjoyed our dinner and came back the other day to try the “future blend”. Vietnamese coffee beans as drip coffee. Tasty and not comparable to the “normal” Vietnamese coffee =). The restaurant probably had the most modern setting we have seen in Vietnam. (08/2019)
Benjamin F — Google review
A refreshingly delicious restaurant that really is in a different class than many/all of the other eateries in Phong Nha. We ate at about seven different places in the town, and we found underground was the best. In fact, we ate there twice. Food presentation and flavors were well balanced, plus great cocktails, good red wine (rare!), and very nice baked goods for dessert. If you are visiting Phong Nha for caves and want a nicer meal after a long day, I highly suggest this restaurant. Bravo to the owners for creating high quality dining in a small village environment. Oh and the ginger beer is DELICIOUS!
John P — Google review
My partner and I went here because he needed his Western food fix (burgers which he loved) whilst I also got my authentic local food fix. It was such a great dining experience! The ingredients used are local and organic and it really shows in the flavour. If you want something vegetarian or vegan friendly - this is it. If you want to toss fear of hygiene out the window - this is also it. Everything about this restaurant screams environmentally friendly and that's a positive step forward here. It goes without saying that the service is friendly and helpful - simply excellent! Lastly, if you want to enjoy a REAL Vietnamese coffee that's pure - this is the place to do it. So happy we came here tonight! Thanks again!
Maggie T — Google review
Very nice and welcoming air conditioned restaurant with good international food and very refreshing home made ginger beer. This place is upmarket by Phong Nha standards but prices are reasonable with most dishes under 100k. The quality of the food is fine although the generous tamarind chicken was a little dry. My falafel sandwich was very tasty though.
André M — Google review
The service is excellent and you are definitely made to feel welcome. The staff speak great English and can explain the meals and make recommendations. Food is delicious. Everything we tried was excellent, we ate here at least 3 or 4 times during our time in Phong Nha. Americans own it and one of them is usually around to help out. The do live in Vietnam and support farms and shops by using local ingredients. Good coffee as well. Price is higher then local food but the quality balances that out. The portions aren't small either so you won't be hungry. They also have an NGO, you can get info there. Beef Braciole is a must try!
Helen R — Google review
The best food we’ve had in Vietnam. We didn’t realize how much we missed the simple things you get back home but don’t in Vietnam. The smoked Pork was delicious and tender. Green beans are my favorite and theirs didn’t disappoint. Kombucha teas was tasty and the burger trio was Also really good. We stayed all day to work because the WiFi was good and the food better. No way you can get food this good this cheap in Vietnam it back home.
Travel S — Google review
Fabulous fresh home cooked cuisine, super healthy smoothies & juices, air conditioned comfort in the centre of Phong Nha Town. Delighted to see them open for business! Highly recommend.
Neil F — Google review
This gem is a real foodie establishment. They source all fresh ingredients from carefully selected suppliers. Even the tea is a special Vietnamese variety which only grows in high altitude farms in the mountains. The cakes and artisan breads are baked fresh every day on site. At my request they cooked me the most amazing food (not even on the menu) in a true traditional Vietnamese style (not like a tourist experience) to provide a surprise fine dining experience at a very reasonable cost. Both the staff and the owner simply could not be nicer. I just wondered in of the street one day for a sticky cake, I was so impressed I returned the next night for dinner. I would eat here every night if I lived here!

Great Vietnamese restaurant with friendly smiling staff. Good chicken salad, spring rolls and sandwiches. Cheap beer, and some craft beers also available. Clean washrooms with nice soap. Friend said hostel above was very nice and staff were very helpful with booking her bus.

We’ve really enjoyed having our meals here and have been back multiple times for the delicious Bun Cha. The homemade sausage and spring rolls are tasty but the bun Cha is their specialty. They also have friendly service as well. Great place to have a nice cold and cheap beer too.
Nicholas N — Google review
A really great choice! The girls are very very kind and will adapt the dish for you with any inconvenience. We enjoyed the 2 vegetarian options as well as the ginger tea. Very well decorated, with sofas inside to relax and with books about Vietnam and other SEA countries.
Quim A — Google review
We walked by this place for 3 days and never saw anybody eating here. A friend who "never" takes food photos made an exception for this place and recommended it to us, so of course we tried. I "never" write reviews for restaurants and now *I'm* making an exception! This was by far the best and most impressive meal we had in the area. Very inexpensive too! GO HERE
Phil B — Google review
Great little place with delicious vegetarian options especially the Bun Cha with Tofu and Tofu with Tomato Sauce. The Bun Cha didn’t quite fill me but the Tofu with Tomato Sauce was a great portion size... maybe because I asked for a big portion... 😂 The staff are all super nice and we would definitely recommend this place!
Kieran S — Google review
The ultimate bun cha (80k VND) was the best meal we have had in Phong Nha during our 3 day stay. A great meal from Hanoi paired with home made smoked sausage. Highly recommend.
Jamie G — Google review
Been here twice during my time in Phong Nha, absolutely loved the setting and the food. I’ve been in Vietnam for two weeks now and I ate my best meal yet here. True honest flavors and some really nice personnel. Must try when in town!!

Thang Nhung - Spit Roast Pork & Noodle Shop

$$$$cheap
Restaurant
Thang Nhung - Spit Roast Pork & Noodle Shop is a popular spot in Phong Nha, known for its delicious dishes featuring BBQ pork. Visitors rave about the tasty soup, banh mi, and fried rice served at very affordable prices. The family that runs the restaurant is praised for their warm hospitality despite language barriers. Patrons have enjoyed various meals such as Pho Bo, spit roast pork with rice and veggies, and the pork baguette.
Amazing fresh roasted pork- couldn't ask for better! The Bun Heo Quay (roasted pork noodle bowl) was served quickly and tasted fantastic. Fresh Cucumber and lettuce, plentiful fish sauce, and of course delicious roasted pork that is cooked right in front of you. The family is so friendly, welcoming, and kind. We will be back for sure! Photo posted is after I ate about 1/3 and mixed it up :)
Sarah K — Google review
The best banh mi in Phong Na, or even our entire trip to Vietnam! The pork is chargrilled, leaving it incredibly tender. Then, they saute it in chunks with herbs and serve it with a top-notch homemade chimichurri! It's a must-try if you're in this area during your trip to Vietnam! The family who owns the place was also very friendly!
Desiree A — Google review
Delicious, freshly grilled pork belly and several other dishes. One of my favorites in Phong Nha. The owner really looked after us and could communicate well in English. I had the pork and veggies rice paper rolls and it was cheaper than anywhere else I saw that dish listed.
Inês T — Google review
I had the roast pork banh mi and the avocado smoothie and both were delicious. Legitimately my favorite banh mi I've had in Vietnam and also one of the best smoothies I've had here. Additionally, the owner was very friendly and made me feel very welcome here.
Johan S — Google review
We had the spit roast pork of 400.000, which is 1KG of delicious and crispy pork. You can see them roasting the pork in the front of the restaurant. The pork came with rice and veggies. Very kind lady who served us.
Iris N — Google review
Had a great meal here, had the fried rice with BBQ pork. Incredibly tasty for such a ”simple” meal. Also very good price
Hugo S — Google review
Amazing amazing amazing! We had 2 exceptional meals here, and were welcomed so warmly both times. It was so good we had to go back for breakfast. The spit roast pork is the best pork I’ve ever eaten, and such good value for money. The family that run the restaurant are so friendly and accommodating, we left with big smiles on our faces. We had Pho Bo, spit roast pork with rice and veggies and the pork baguette. We would definitely go back, I wish I was staying longer! Thanks so much❤️
Cecily R — Google review
The pork roll/Banh Mi was absolutely incredible…It was so full of flavour, I could’ve ordered three more. Highly highly recommend! Don’t come to this restaurant if you expect to be waited on hand & foot…they will take your order, cook your food and serve you! Authentic & delicious. It was 70,000 for a jam packed banh mi & a beer.

The service is exceptional, and the wait time for meals is minimal. The owner's dedication to customer satisfaction stands out as they went out of their way to fulfill a special order for kumquat juice.
Bun Cha is delicious there! Very authentic taste with good choice of Vietnamese herbs and good portion! Love it. 90k full plate to 30k for small ball
Anne N — Google review
The best meal in a long time, soo delicious and fresh! We had the vegan Bún chả with soy sauce broth instead of fish sauce, all was clearly labelled. A must visit if you're in Phong Nha!
Sara S — Google review
Absolutely amazing Bun Cha, probably the best I have had in Vietnam so far. The service has always been really great, I have gone with my friends 4-5 times now and we have never waited more than 10 minutes for our meals. On my first visit I had a mad craving for some kumquat juice but they had none on the menu, but the owner went out right after we made the order to her friends place to get some fresh kumquats and pressed them to make kumquat juice special order for me. That is above and beyond service, cannot recommend this place highly enough
Jacques L — Google review
Good food. Good price. Bun cha is their in house speciality.
Debasish B — Google review
Definitely my favorite place in phong nha! The owner is very friendly and service is fast, and whatever you order will be the best you've had in all of vietnam! In 3 days I've eaten here nearly a dozen times, the smoked pork is a great touch in the bun cha and the smoked bacon makes for a perfect breakfast! This is a place I will definitely miss

Drifter’s Paradise Pizza

Restaurant
Pizza restaurant
If you're on the hunt for a delightful pizza experience, look no further than Drifter’s Paradise Pizza. This gem offers an impressive variety of pies that cater to all tastes, from classic meat lovers to unique buffalo and Hawaiian options. Diners rave about the generous portions and incredible value, making it a perfect break from local cuisine after an extended stay in Vietnam. The dough is praised for its quality, while toppings are abundant and flavorful—truly reminiscent of American-style pizzas!
We’d been fancying pizza as a small break back to western food and this was a great choice. Our pizza was reasonable at 160k each as there isn’t much competition around. The had a big menu with lots of traditional and unique toppings. We opted for buffalo and Hawaiian which were both great and very cheesy which we saw as a bonus. The staff were friendly and the food came fast. They also had a good selection of local foods at a good price 50-100k. Beer was also cheap at 20k. I also had cold mayonnaise as a dip and homemade bbq sauce which was amazing and not charged for.
TH3BU11D0G — Google review
Really nice pizzas we didn’t have high expectations at first but we got the bbq chicken pizza and Hawaiian pizza and both were great!!! Only one star off for slow service but it was worth the wait as the food was good
Charlotte L — Google review
Very happy with the quality of the food I got here. The pizza was tasty. The beef in the beef stew was nice and tender and the carrots were full of flavor. I recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a break from Vietnamese cuisine
Tyron P — Google review
We have been here twice now. The service is delightful. The food is great. We plan on going back again. You couldn’t do better than to stop by drifters paradise pizza.
L W — Google review
Ordered the meat lovers pizza and it was incredible, better than some American pizzas if not better! Size was awesome and a great value as well, was going to only eat 1/2 and take the other back to the hotel, but it was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Was a great change from eating local food for over 2 months and needed a little taste of America. From the toppings to the dough it was probally the BEST pizza I've had in a long time. Highly recommend and a fantastic value as well. Went back the next night for a double cheeseburger with fries and wasn't disappointed either. Still had ti finish off my American gravings. If your looking for a great pizza and beer than this is the place for you, even if your not from America.

Nhà Hàng Vững Huế

Restaurant
Delicious!!!! Summarize in a paragraph using synonymous terms about the dining establishment Nhà Hàng Vững Huế in at least 300 characters in appropriate standard English without concentrating on any individual's experience: Nhà Hàng Vững Huế, an eatery that brings great pleasure to one's taste buds, offers delectable cuisine that is simply delightful. This restaurant provides an array of mouthwatering dishes, leaving patrons satisfied and eager for more.
Love this place. It’s our go to for a local family dinner. Our favorite dishes include the; sườn rim - pork spare ribs in tamarind (Kids Fav) đậu hũ sốt cà chua - minced pork and Tofu rau muống với tôi - stir fried morning glory canh chua - sour soup of some type of seasonal aquatic animal and vegetable. Nem - pork spring rolls Ca trắm Song Son Xuan Son (Đặc Biệt)- a big locally produced fish dish. Trứng ốp lết - Vietnamese omelet. We usually ring ahead and order, booking a table.
Ben E — Google review
I arrived around 2pm and the restaurant was empty. I was told the only thing they had were ribs and rice at a price I knew was on the higher end. My homestay recommended this place so I felt open to try what they had. As I was finishing my meal, 2 buses of people arrived and filled 3 tables. As I went to pay, I noticed the kitchen (and soon the subsequent tables) were full of with salads, soup, vegetables, crab legs, chicken and more. Obviously perplexed I asked and through Google translate was told three different explanations ranging from things being expensive, to limited quantities, to something without a clear translation. As a consumer this doesn’t fee great and it doesn’t reflect well on the restaurant. To add insult to injury, the ribs I had were tough. I didn’t read the previous comments since it was a local recommendation, but I’d agree- if you’re not local, you will be overcharged and not have a memorable food experience. Best to go elsewhere.
Amber D — Google review
Very good restaurant with reasonable prices and delicious!!!

Good Comfort Food of the Vietnamese. Can't ask for anything more from this touristy town of Phong Nha
Seg N — Google review
Tourist trap. They have totally different menus for foreigners, with high prices. Two menus to be exact, one that has dishes half the price, that othey only handed out when our group was prepared to leave. It's sold as a place where locals go for food, and they do, but none of the food they were eating showed up on either of the menus they gave us.
Matt T — Google review
I ordered a pork and tofu dish that was great. Unfortunately, either the short ribs or pork stew my boyfriend ordered (that I didn't eat) gave him food poisoning that had him sick for multiple days and hindered our travel plans.

Restaurant
If you find yourself in Phong Nha, a visit to Moi Moi is an absolute must! This charming farm-to-table restaurant has only improved over the years. The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly their slow-cooked pork served in bamboo chutes, accompanied by fresh veggies like onions and carrots. Each order is prepared with care, as they cut the bamboo fresh and roast it right before your eyes. Don't miss out on their delicious spring rolls for a perfect appetizer!
By far one of our favorite places we have tried in Phong Nha after being here for almost a month. Very genuine place not trying to be anything other than itself. be sure to try the slow cooked pork in bamboo chutes with onions and carrots. If you’re really adventurous and want the freshest chicken they’ll slaughter it there on the spot for you as well. Farm to table in the countryside. They don’t speak English but the menu is...and the smiles are an international language

After three years away, the farm, food and restaurant only got better! I had the barbecued pork in bamboo when I first came and ordered it again, but this time enjoying how they prepared it. They cut the bamboo fresh for each order, watched them pack it full of meat and veggies, then roast them in the fire. We ordered spring rolls as an appetizer and as you can see, plenty enough for the three of us. We hung out napping post meal in their hammocks and played a game of pool too. We walked their fields down to the river and just enjoyed the whole atmosphere. They also have an adorable little girl who is practicing her English and after getting past her shyness, loved to play with us. If you're going to check out one restaurant on your bike or motorbike, come to Moi Moi!!!

Best food I've had in Vietnam. Literally farm to table, the only way you'd get it fresher was if you grew it yourself. Staff doesn't speak English but someone translated the menus. Well worth the trek out. And cheap!

You MUST have the bamboo pork. The view is good and the staff friendly as most are in Vietnam. I ordered spring rolls which were great but also the Bamboo Pork which was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this place for a lunch visit.

An absolute must. By far our best local meal in Phong Nha area. Everything is sourced from the farm the people have (literally where you eat) so it's guaranteed to be fresh. The pork in bamboo was the standout and the dumplings also that are wrapped in banana leaf and cooked (meat and vegetarian option) . Also must ask for wonderful green sauce! To die for!!!

Moi moi is super unique! Owned by a family, each week a different member runs it. All food is cooked fresh over the fire. This means it takes a little bit to get your food but super worth the experience and they serve beer and have hammocks. Note: when I say the food is fresh, it's really fresh, especially the chicken. Forewarning for the faint of heart

It is closed at 5pm but they cooked their iconic bamboo pork for 30 min. when i arrived almost closing time. Couple of hundred meters dirt path from the road at the sign rock.

The most authentic experience so far, and delicious food! We stopped at Moi Moi and had there a very relaxing time. The slow cooking in bamboo forces you to slow down. The beer is freezing cold!!! And the food was absolutely delicious, not to mention the extreme kindness of the locals. A must in this charming, hidden Bong Lai valley

Dong Hoi Airport

Domestic airport
Dong Hoi Airport is a relatively small but adequate airport serving the area. It offers smooth and easy inbound and outbound traffic, although it may be a bit challenging for elderly passengers due to the absence of aerobridges. The airport features clean facilities, including restaurants and washrooms. Despite its size, it has friendly staff and affordable food and drinks with a special Vietnamese accent. The airport has two boarding gates, busy security gates, souvenir shops, coffee shops, and efficient staff.
A relatively small airport, but adequate to serve its purpose. Both in and out bound traffic with this airport was smooth and easy for us. It is only maybe a bit tougher for elderly, as there was no aerobridge and passengers need to go up and down the airplane by stairs and the airport too. In between there’s a bus that takes passengers from the plane to the airport. There are restaurants for meals, and washrooms are clean.

Fastest airport in the East. Landed in this airport and the shuttle came right away. It made a u-turn and before you know it your at the baggage claim 100 ft from the aircraft. It could been easier just to walk the tarmac. As soon I walk in, my luggage already on carousel. I pick up and walk out. The guys unloaded the baggage pretty quick

This airport is new and clean but it's a small airport. People here are friendly, they have a special Vietnamese accent so you probably get a bit struggle to conmmunicate. Drinks and foods are affordable.

The airport is a bit small which have 2 boarding gates. Security gate is always busy. There’s still some souvenir shop inside, in case you wanna buy local speciality gifts

Dong Hoi Airport: A Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience My recent experience at Dong Hoi Airport was highly unsatisfactory. The staff at the check-in counter exhibited unprofessional and unfriendly behavior, creating an unpleasant atmosphere from the outset. Furthermore, the security guards were observed to be rude and aggressive towards passengers, often resorting to shouting and screaming. Perhaps the most significant issue I encountered was the airport's frequent cancellation of flights without prior notification to customers. This negligence resulted in passengers incurring unnecessary transportation costs to return home or to reach their destinations. Additionally, the missed flight cancellations led to missed business opportunities in Saigon, and the compensation provided for these cancellations was deemed unfair, particularly for flights canceled before departure time. The airport's food and beverage offerings were also overpriced, providing little value for the cost. Moreover, there was no discernible difference in the treatment of business class and economy class passengers, both of whom received equally poor service. It was evident that the airport staff lacked proper training, as evidenced by their poor communication skills, particularly in English. Overall, the employees seemed to be a group of untrained and entitled individuals who appeared to have been placed in their positions due to family connections rather than merit. I hope that the airport will address these serious issues and take steps to improve the quality of service provided to its passengers.

Terrible amenities!!! Firstky we tried booking a flight with Vietnam Airlines and the lady at the ticket kiosk purposefully delayed us so that we end up paying twice the price since we were trying to get a last minute flight, she told us our cards arent working and made us check online whilst knowing that the official site dosent allow you to book last minute flights, when we returned, the price was 75% more and all of a sudden the card machine worked (noting that there is not a single ATM in the airport or its vicinity), the restaurants at the airport dont accept credit cards they ONLY accept cash.

Small but good and friendly airport.
